0:21All right, and welcome into Fantasy Pros live on Twitch.
0:24And what a time it's been in the NFL world as of late as training camp continues to unfold.
0:30And with the injury stacking up on the players you might want to draft in your league, so we're firing up another
0:36Q&A coming your way right here on twitch.tv slash fantasy pros to answer your burning questions.
0:41I'm your host Seth Wilcock, joined by a man who we found out last episode plays the role of Mr.
0:47Belding around these parts. That's right. He's bald, he's sarcastic, and sometimes a little cranky if he doesn't get his energy drink in the morning.
0:55He's downtown, Derek Brown. D-Bro, thanks so much for taking time out of the busy schedule of wrangling the kids all day
1:02to hang out with me and the Fantasy Pros family.
1:05Cranky, huh? All right, that's how we're starting it off?
1:08Okay. All right. You chose violence today, Seth. I'm here for it, man.
1:12I'm here for it. But actually, it's been a little bit more productive and efficient around these parts.
1:17Kids are back into school, so now I'm just playing the role of unpaid Uber driver every single day.
1:23I've got another meet-the-teacher thing tonight. So lots of fun in the afternoons on a daily basis, fighting the Texas heat and picking up kids.
1:30It's definitely trying not to let the road rage get the best of me.
1:35Hey, that's why you probably have a cupboard of number one dad mugs, if I had to guess.
1:40I don't know if you use mugs so you don't drink coffee really, but I bet you have a cupboard full of them no matter what.
1:48This was last year's... There you go. That's last year's...
1:51This is basically just the junk drawer of my desk, but that was from kids last year, Father's Day.
1:57There we go. All right. All right. Hit it right on the hammer.
2:01Hit it right on the nail there. There we go.
2:04I don't know. Guys, go ahead and drop your questions below.
2:07Let us know how we can help you. Maybe we'll get some mugs in the future from you for number one fantasy football draft analyst.
2:15We'd appreciate that. And we'll be sure to get to as many as we can over the next 55 to 60 or so minutes.
2:22And also you can check out FantasyPros YouTube channel and podcast feed.
2:25Ton of great episodes out there and short form content.
2:28Derek, I'm gonna be sitting down with Dr. Deepak Chona on Monday and I've never looked forward to hosting an episode so
2:35much because it has been brutal the last seven to 14 days.
2:39It feels like in the NFL calendar. And today, Sam Laporta, does he play week one?
2:44And today? No, no, I didn't. Oh, you didn't see that?
2:47Yeah. Sam, no, I got up with a injury and they asked Dan Campbell.
2:51So do you think Sam Laporte is gonna? How does it look?
2:55And Dan's like, well, I don't know. Maybe he's out there.
2:58Who knows? It was so nondescript that I'm like, oh, that's just wonderful.
3:02So this just makes even more of a case.
3:05Get your Brock powers. Get your Colston Loveland. Tyler Warren.
3:08We don't know. Sam Laporta. We don't know. Tucker craft playing limited snaps.
3:12Oh, Titan got rough really fast for every year when we say it's deep.
3:16Yeah, we say it. We say it. That's for sure, man.
3:19I'll tell you what Dr. Deepak Chona did put out something about Warren earlier today that he is expecting him to play week.
3:26One, I'll get more information from him on Monday.
3:29But you know, Harold Fannin is looking pretty sexy all of a sudden in the sixth round.
3:34I'll tell you what. I mean, and not to push back against Deepak or anything like that.
3:39I just think the thing that we have to remind ourselves also with all those injury stuff is even with the Tyler Warren stuff.
3:47We really do not know like the sure. Oh, sure.
3:50Yeah. Yeah. Teams lie consistently all the freaking time.
3:52And if everybody doesn't believe me about this, I kindly point you go watch any one of these Netflix documentaries and you
3:59can point out multiple spots where Baker has a an entire purple arm and nobody knows that week.
4:05And he's not on the injury report because he's wearing a damn sleeve.
4:08So yeah, right. You don't know that that's the case.
4:12Amon Ross saying Brown gets hand foot mouth snaps a rib.
4:15Is that on the injury report? No. So these teams constantly lie and the NFL doesn't hold their feet to the fire.
4:22So just take all of it with a grain of salt.
4:25That's all I'm saying. Nope. Completely agreed with you there.
4:28And you know, you've been doing a great job, D bro.
4:31You're putting in our analyst chat every day. Every time an update comes through, update the rank.
4:36So, hey, you're doing a, you're doing a great job as well as our audience.
4:41Thank you guys all so much again for tuning in with us today.
4:45We got Drezzy hanging out with us. Jay Chow saying, yo, yo, D bro and Seth.
4:50What's up, Jay Chow. Great to see you. We got Cap saying, let's go.
4:54Good to see you, Cap. Miranda, one of our favorites checking in as well saying, hey, pros.
4:59Frankie love 88 saying, what's up guys. Squid wild saying, what's up drafters.
5:03We got Prezzy hanging out again as well. And yes, glad you cap were finally able to make a live show, man.
5:10It's a great Thursday afternoon here. And D bro, what do you say, man?
5:14Will you get to some questions and start helping the fine people of the world?
5:18Let's get it rolling, baby. Let's light this candle.
5:21All right. First one is from Jay Chow saying, how are we feeling about the effects of Keenan Allen signing on the,
5:28on the other members of the Colts receiving group?
5:31So take the Tyler Warren injury out of it.
5:33And let's just assume maybe he in a perfect world, he does play in week one, maybe not a hundred percent effective, but he's out there.
5:41Where are you ranking the Colts currently in redraft from a season long standpoint?
5:45I didn't move Daniel Jones and I didn't move JT.
5:49So I want to just throw that out there.
5:51Um, so the way that I'm approaching this entire situation, Alec Pierce, I moved, uh, I think I moved him down a little bit further.
5:59He's at wider C for 46 for me. Um, and I I'm pulling up right now where we're at with here.
6:05Let me see one second. I'm pulling up real time ADP so I can juxtapose this with where I'm at versus real time ADP.
6:12And if everybody, if you're not up to ADP fantasy, pros.com slash real ADP, get you there fast.
6:18Um, Alec Pierce is wide receiver 40. I am below consensus on him.
6:22I, he's at wide receiver 46 for me. I moved this down because I just don't know.
6:27When you look at the addition of Keenan Allen and into this passing attack, I think that there's an easy outcome where he plays the Michael Pittman jr.
6:35role in this offensive last year. And where he's playing a little more outside then.
6:40Yeah. Dude, he played 60%. I don't think that people understand that he Keenan Allen played 60% on the perimeter last year.
6:47And I'm not saying he's going to touch that number this year, but to the Alec Pierce point, I think with Alec
6:53Pierce coming off this injury, he could just be shoved back into the field stretching role and asking him to assume a new role in this offense.
7:02When he hasn't been there, he had, he still has not practiced people.
7:05So yeah, it's crazy. Like assuming this new role in the offense, that's great and grand.
7:10But when you're not there in the install for the offense, what are we talking about?
7:15So I'm avoiding Alec Pierce at his cost and drafts Keenan Allen.
7:19I put him at wide receiver 55. I dropped Josh Downs to wide receiver 56.
7:23So yes, I do have Keenan Allen above him because the way that I'm projecting this offense when it until Pierce is
7:30back and we don't know when that is going to be.
7:33I think it to wide receiver sets. You do see Keenan Allen and Josh Downs on the field.
7:39But once Pierce is back, I think we're going to see Josh Downs go back into this slot only part-time role that he was last year.
7:47That is the downside for him where he becomes Jaden Reed of India again.
7:51Right. And the upside is they run more 11 and he's rotating the outside in the slot with Keenan Allen.
7:57But like for me in this offense at cost in the passing game, give me Keenan Allen.
8:02If this is the same exact situation we talked about last year, Seth, where Keenan Allen signs late, his ADP isn't going
8:09to catch up and he's still freaking good at football.
8:12So Tyler Warren, I did bump him down a little bit because the injury, the Keenan Allen addition.
8:17How far are we talking? Just one or I think one spot.
8:21Like I'm still tight end for ride or die.
8:24That's right where I was last year. But okay, but the caveat of that is I put Sam Laporta above him.
8:30Now I got to put Sam Laporta back behind him because I don't know what to do with these damn injuries.
8:36Back to tight end for baby. Let's go. But I mean, let's go.
8:40So with how I'm approaching this, I don't know if that's consensus.
8:44I don't know if I'm crazy. You tell me, Seth, like where is everybody at?
8:49Where are you at on this situation? Like, am I just too high on Keenan Allen?
8:53But I do have stats that I can pull to back up my Keenan Allen love.
8:58No, I think you're right on pace, man. Like last year, we really saw him impact Ladd McConkie's production during the early part of the season.
9:06If I had to guess that this probably goes similar to that where maybe the Colts start fast.
9:12Keenan Allen is a fantasy difference maker for the first five weeks.
9:15And we're like, oh crap. We should have all drafted him some trade start going out.
9:20And if you trade Keenan, I don't mind drafting Keenan Allen, but I'm trying to trying to probably trade him after the
9:27first month or so of the season. If he starts hot just like a season ago.
9:32I'm right with you. Tyler Warren tight end for Josh Downs right now to me.
9:36I'm juggling between like wide receiver 59 and 60.
9:39Like I'm getting to a point now where it's like, am I putting Rashid Shaheed above him?
9:44Right. Am I putting, you know, Dijon Shribling's definitely above him for me now.
9:48So like Dante should be above him too. Okay.
9:51Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I don't, I don't know. Oh yeah.
9:54No, you're probably right. Actually with the, all the injuries going on.
9:58Ty Lemon not playing in camp so far. He's he, he have a Luther burden esque run out to his season that nobody wants to talk about.
10:06Um, but just to give Keenan Allen some love last year amongst 109 qualifying wide receivers, he was 14th overall in route win rate.
10:13He was 22nd and slot yards per route run.
10:16And as a perimeter wide receiver, Keenan Allen 18th best in route win rate.
10:20So he's just cause he's old doesn't mean he's dust.
10:23Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. I appreciate that. And J Tao great question, man.
10:27And I, I, well, let's see, let's see what kind of year it is for Indianapolis players.
10:32I tried to avoid all of them, but Tyler Warren a year ago.
10:36Um, and it bit me not having JT early on, but we'll see what 2020 brings.
10:41Um, and a real quick reminder as well, that if you guys are enjoying the stream, please, uh, follow us, consider following us.
10:48So you don't miss the next year. I'm seeing a lot of first time streamers in here tonight, um, who are joining us for the first time live.
10:56So we really appreciate that. Yeah. Well, I mean, you're running on my man.
11:01It's a, it's like dark out today. So it's just like one of those, when I heard you say tonight, I'm like,
11:07grandpa, what time are you going to bed? Dude?
11:10It's like, it feels dark. It's been like dark out all day.
11:14Are you about to make dinner right now? Seth?
11:16No, not yet. I actually eat dinner. Like traditionally late.
11:19I probably won't eat dinner. I got like a late show tonight.
11:23So I probably won't eat dinner until like 10 or so, which I know isn't good for you.
11:29I've been trying to be better at that. That's sad.
11:32It's past Paul's bedtime. Okay. Yeah. Logger, Logger standouts first live show for him as well.
11:36Thank you so much, Logger. Great to see you here.
11:39We appreciate you joining us. Um, also shout out to a couple of these new friends here as well.
11:45Uh, Heiserton. We also have joining us a first time follower.
11:49Thank you so much for that. And age, I, as well, age, I hanging out with us right here.
11:54So let's go ahead and get to the next question.
11:57Starting with thought to miss prime saying trade at 20, 27 top.
12:01There he had to go. Pop the energy drink.
12:04Get it ready. It's a liquid. That's water, man.
12:06I'm already wired for sound already. Okay. Well, I'm glad to hear that.
12:10I'm glad to hear that. They didn't believe me.
12:13These strawberry liquid debts. We are not sponsored, but liquid death.
12:16I say, hi, come say hi to us. Um, they're fantastic, bro.
12:20They're like crack. I love it. I love it.
12:23Love it. Traded 20, 27, top four pick for Loveland in a one quarterback league.
12:27Is that something you're willing to do there? That's a high price.
12:31I like holding on to my, uh, picks as much as I can.
12:35He's an elite tight end. He's elite asset and dynasty.
12:38Um, that's the price. You're probably going to have to pay.
12:41I wouldn't, I would counter that with a 28 first and second.
12:45That's what I would do that with. Yeah. I like that top top five pick in 27.
12:50I would just give your first two picks in 28 to try to give Loveland count, send out the counter and see what happens.
12:57Yeah. Cause what happens if that, that pick turns into Jeremiah Smith, you're going to feel real dumb, even though Loveland's a stud, right?
13:05So overall, but yes, to your, but to your point, if it's the one Oh one, you're going to feel like an idiot.
13:12So yes. Right. Yeah. Yep. Uh, we also got some, uh, additional followers like to shout out as well.
13:17Hey, who just followed us as outdoor and Dover block.
13:20Uh, we also have T prec. Appreciate that. T prec.
13:23Um, and awesome. Dad just restubbed for eight months straight as tier one.
13:27The queen's not going to be happy with you.
13:30Dev just saying. Devira Devira 11 as well. A little number 11 action like that.
13:35Um, hanging out with us. Let's see. We got Frankie love in a 16 man league.
13:39That's a chop league. How would you approach drafting that?
13:42I just can't finish last each week. Pick players that are going to play early.
13:47That's like my thing. Don't, don't invite injuries onto your team in this one for me, Derek.
13:52What about you? Again, going back to, this is where you get into the conversation of stripling versus like a Jacoby.
13:59Myers. Like you need the volume and you need the playing time.
14:02Like the upside. Yep. Matters, but you don't sacrifice the upside and stuff like that for guys where, you know, they're going
14:09to be getting targets and volume and things like that.
14:12You're, you're not so much. Yes. You care about being near the top of the league, but it's really more about not being at the bottom.
14:20So. Yes, completely agree. Thank you so much for that.
14:23Frankie James cook for Javante Williams, Brenton strange 2027 first and second in dynasty.
14:27It's his 10 man super flex. So again, that's James cook going for Javante Williams, Brenton strange a 2027 first and second.
14:34I think I want, I think I want, I think I want the Javante side.
14:38Yeah. Is he the Javante side? Like dude, the first and second and 27 should get you James cook just in general.
14:45All the rest of that sauce on top is way too much.
14:49Now in, in, in defense here, like Dre, if you're getting the Javante side auto accept, and you just say, thank you.
14:55You just, you just say, thank you. Yep. A hundred percent.
14:59Agree with you there. TCB checking in saying my league is going from 10 to eight people and from one flex to two.
15:05What is the biggest thing that should change in my draft approach?
15:09Half PPR auction draft. Derek, I would say it's just spending up for those ones positions.
15:14That's yeah. I think those becomes every week, bro.
15:17We're go ahead. I'm sorry. We're in concert. No ones at once.
15:20He positions, but also like you can't fall too far behind.
15:24Like I'm not going zero RB or I'm not going, you know, robust running back where I'm getting behind it receiver.
15:30Like I need a top eight to 10 guy every single position.
15:34Yeah. I think the big thing is, and the thing that I continually hammer on these smaller leagues TCB is like, sure.
15:40You could pay up for the Josh Allen's and stuff like that.
15:44For me, I think the edge is picking the quarterback.
15:47So your quarterback route to take for me, if they're available and what have you is accessing elite upside at the onesie
15:54positions, but you're not paying for top tier stuff.
15:56So like drafting a Colston Loveland instead of a Brock Bowers drafting a Jalen hurts instead of a Josh Allen.
16:02Honestly, for me, if I was in one of those consolidated leagues, it would be draft Jalen hurts and draft Malik Willis
16:09that that that would be my quarterback room rushing rushing rushing rushing rushing.
16:13Love it. We got bam, bam, Branson checking in same boys.
16:16Just wanted to say Jalen hurts top three quarterback.
16:19And preach baby. You came to the right spot.
16:22This is a safe space. Jalen hurts my QB three this year.
16:26How safe is it though? Because he's also saying and Seth congrats on finding out that it snows year round at PSU hashtag.
16:32We are Derek. You've been seeing any of the headlines coming out of state colleges.
16:37I've seen some things and some of those mug shots are very interesting.
16:41I think we threw it in the, in the FP slack.
16:44Uh, Seth, is there a warrant out for your arrest that I'm not aware of, sir?
16:49No, thankfully I did not go to Penn state.
16:52I did work there, but that was about, you know, Nick name.
16:56What was the Pablo pledge scavar or something like that.
16:59Plex cabar. It's so good. Oh man. It needs to be on a t-shirt, man.
17:03It's so good. Oh, it's on. I've already seen.
17:06There are t-shirts running around right now. With his face and just above him.
17:10We are. We are. We are Pablo. God, man.
17:13Oh, check it out if you don't know already.
17:16If you don't know, you need to know. Some stupid kids throwing away the rest of their lives.
17:21We do not condone that behavior. It's sad, but man, it's that happens every day.
17:26People making stupid choices. Including stupid choices. Here could be one from our friend, Eron Jacobs and Watson or flowers and Montgomery.
17:32I'm going to take this as a redraft question, but Aaron, let me know if this is dynasty by chance, but if
17:39you're in a redraft, Derek, what would you, what would you roll here with Jacobs and Watson?
17:44Do you want the Packers or do you want flowers and Monty?
17:48I want. So redraft wise, I easily the flowers side, um, from a dynasty perspective.
17:52Um, from the dynasty perspective, I'm, I'm still on flowers and Montgomery here.
17:56Yeah. I just, dude, I'm worried about Jacobs of the last two years.
18:00Like he's walking into this year with an MCL issue.
18:03And last year he had injuries. He was a shell of himself down the back.
18:08I think the volume is, is starting to pile up.
18:11Like I think David Montgomery has more tread left on the tires than freaking Josh Jacobs at this point.
18:16But again, maybe I'm crazy. I don't think that's a crazy take.
18:20Like if, if everything was fair and Jacobs, we knew it was a hundred percent healthy and was a hundred percent not getting suspended.
18:27I think this is a closer conversation. That being said, I don't want to be that tied to the Packers.
18:33And like I do, I do have right now Jacobs above flowers, but I know I'm like in the minority of that.
18:40And, and Monty, I do have above Watson. So I'm, I'm cool with that.
18:44Um, what do you think about this nickname here from Bam Bam snow Paterno?
18:49Oh, that's pretty good dude. Um, but dude, like, yeah, like Jacobs, does everybody realize?
18:53Yeah, sure. He's going into his age 28 season.
18:56He's not a young 28 though. He's got 1800 plus carries on that body.
19:00It's not good, man. It's not good. What are your thoughts on Coker and Carolina Derek?
19:05We have here from a welly woo because I mean, you've kind of been on this.
19:10Yeah. You've been kind of on, on this train the entire time for Jalen Coker.
19:14It's really now just getting popular to being drafting him.
19:17But if I'm looking for a guy who can just give me a solid floor in the double digit rounds for PPR leagues.
19:24Like I am clicking the button on Jalen Coker more and more as the off season progresses.
19:29See Bam Bam knows throw it in the chat.
19:32You're talking to the leader of the coke head super train.
19:36Yes, I, and, and this is not me just like toot my own horn.
19:40Like there are tweets out there for me about Jalen Coker before he didn't go before he got drafted as a UDFA at a Holy Cross.
19:48I love the kid that the tape tells you all.
19:51I think Coker is really a massive value. Uh, and I have Bryce young concerns, but those Bryce young concerns are not
19:57being echoed in 10 McMillan's ADP, but we have this grand Canyon of ADP difference between Ted Rowe McMillan and Jalen Coker.
20:04And it's like, or the, the clear two leaders of the passing attack.
20:08Yeah. You look at weeks 13 through 19 Jalen Coker actually outproduced Ted on basically every per route metric.
20:14And even if you take the playoff game out, it is much closer than anybody wants to realize, but you pay a
20:20wide receiver to price tag for Ted McMillan and you pay a wide receiver five or six price tag for Jalen Coker.
20:27So at cost, give me Coker all day long.
20:30And I I'm drafting him everywhere. Why not both though?
20:33Because like, I feel like you want to invest that much in a Bryce young offense.
20:38I, Ted's playing the slot a lot more. So yeah, I do.
20:41I feel like, cause I feel like that just gives him the volume was kind of the issue.
20:47Like catchable targets was kind of the issue. I feel like you move him in, get him a little closer to Bryce young.
20:54That kind of makes me happier to, to invest with that.
20:57But maybe where do you add on Ted right now?
21:00I've, I've been wide receiver, I think at 11 or 12.
21:03So I'm, I'm right there. Oh, good Lord. I don't have him anywhere close.
21:08I have my, for real. Yes, dude. I have my, as a wide receiver three.
21:12Uh, I'm worried about the volume. I'm, I'm worried about the volume, dude.
21:16Like it's crazy. It really, it's that crazy. So you think that he has the upside to be a wide receiver one
21:23and fantasy this year with tied to Bryce young on an offense.
21:26They do not want to throw the ball. Like they don't dude.
21:30Like, yeah, but they have Jonathan Brooks who they can't overload and Chuba Hubbard who can't stay healthy.
21:36Like they don't really have a choice. Plus like, I don't believe the defense is that elite that they're going to be,
21:42you know, having positive game scripts, I think is where I stand on it.
21:46Okay. So let me, let me ask you, uh, if you still feel this way after I spit this at you.
21:53So weeks 13 through 18 Bryce young surpassed 35 passing attempts once he only had two games with more than 225 passing yards.
22:00And he directed an offense that was fifth in neutral rushing rate.
22:03Hmm. Okay. Yeah. I mean, I'll give you, I'll give you that, but I will say out of like, if there's 30
22:10targets a game, I think that's going to have just a monster target share, dude.
22:15Like I think it's going to be very concentrated.
22:17I think they made that clear with the investment in Coker too.
22:21You don't have to, you don't have to sell me on Ted.
22:25I love Ted, the talent. I just hate the ADP on him.
22:28It has nothing to do with his talent. This is a Bryce young and a passing volume conversation.
22:34Cause I was, you, you know, both of us were talking about that at nauseam and everybody's like, well, Ted doesn't watch film.
22:41Well, Ted's kind of slow. And I was like, he's still the wide receiver one.
22:45And he's still really freaking good. Y'all need to just shut up.

24:52I don't know these days with Jane Daniels and everybody and anybody, but I digress.
24:57You know, that's crazy behavior. It is like all dude.
25:00It is really wild. Like these are honestly like good.
25:03These are the tight. And I don't think it's Jane Daniels because you hear Jane Daniels.
25:08He's a very calm. I think it's like those are the toxic people you don't need in your life just causing drama.
25:15Like you cut those people out of your life, right?
25:18Like that's the crazy thing about like, I don't want to say it, but like I'm worried about Jane Daniels long term
25:24in this league for doing stuff like that. And then like he can't and he's a little bit of a fragile guy who's never learned to slide properly.
25:33So I don't know, man. I feel like that's all being pushed by his mom.
25:37I understand the respect narrative of like hit like them not using Joe Burrow's number.
25:42Let's let's also talk about what Joe Burrow did at LSU real quick winning a national title.
25:47Yes. Having honestly quarterbacking you arguably the best college football team in the history of college football is much different than you
25:54having a Heisman year and sitting out a bowl game.
25:57So if we're going to talk about facts and stats here, let's at least keep it 100.
26:02And I've been a GD five truther believer. I love the kid.
26:06But also, let's not go the CJ Stroud route and talk about yourself and being an elite quarterback before you arrive to that.
26:12Let's let's also be honest about that. There is a lot of CJ Stroudness to some of this stuff.
26:18Oh, 100 percent. Agreed with you there, man. It I mean, it was a good season.
26:23You got to be at least nine and three or better usually to be in the Heisman discussion.
26:29But it was not, you know, LSU was not making a run that year towards a natty.
26:34So they played in some kind of like garbage bowl that year, which was like the pop tart bowl, maybe or something again.
26:41I there you go. You said enough. Yeah, it might have been the waste management.
26:45I mean, whatever. It could have been the pop tart bowls.
26:49Cool. You ever see that they have the life size pop mascots.
26:52That's like, you know, that's a good time independence bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana, and it doesn't matter.
26:57It's whatever. I want to go to a bowl game.
27:00Never been to one. Here's Bilbo T Baggins, 22 saying sup fellas, 12 team PPR.
27:05I have the fourth pick. I'm leaning ASB. Is that is that crazy to go Monra for overall Derek?
27:11It's a little rich, but I don't I don't think it's crazy if that's a guy crazy.
27:16But at the fourth overall pick, we're assuming we're assuming Bajon and Gibbs go.
27:20So Chase. So you take an Amonra over Puka.
27:23That's really just what that says. Is Bill over Chaser Puka or JSN like yeah, like if Chase is there, you're taking chase.
27:30But if Puka is there, I get the hesitance.
27:33I'm still taking the swing with Puka, dude. Like I think Puka has upside to be the first wide receiver to ever crest 26 PPR points per game.
27:41Like going and I went all the way back to 2013.
27:44Like I don't think everybody realizes that when he was like a full time player.
27:49So if you take out like I think it was a game he played only half of.
27:54If you take that out, he averaged 24.7 PPR points per game.
27:58And if you just flip the receiving touchdowns last year, like say he got the 14 and Adams got the 10.
28:04He would have had 26 points per game. And that's not like I'm not making up like like insane hoops to jump in math streets to get there.
28:13Like that's a it's a simple case. He could break fantasy this year.
28:16So give me that upside along with the craziness and everything.
28:20And dude is like a pigeon and he can't see glass doors.
28:23You know, I understand if he's gone though. Would you take chase?
28:27Do you think? Yeah. Over over a Mon Ross?
28:30Yeah, I would take chase or Puka like Aminra.
28:33Now and I love Aminra this year. Um, it's one of the reasons I love the 107 or 108 because a lot
28:39of times you're getting Aminra at that pick. Either Aminra or James Cook, but like at the 104 now I'm still going with chase or Puka there.
28:47Okay. Okay, but not crazy if that's you know, if that's your cup of tea, but not for us.
28:53Bill Botee a R18 or the check question saying what's up fellas?
28:57Any changes in your rankings for the RBs at the one to turn from the 12 cook Brown also, uh, who's your
29:03go-to if cook goes before 12 Derek? I think I'm higher than consensus, but like I like O'Meary and Hampton on the
29:10turn and I'll kind of stand by that. He's someone I have right there.
29:14Saquon Barkley is in that same range. Ashen Genty and Devon H and that's my tier.
29:19That's my four in that order for me. How do you see that that group of running backs if cook is gone?
29:26Chase Brown. I'm taking Chase Brown round one. If it's not there over all those guys, I've got Chase Brown.
29:32I've got Chase Brown at RB five. I love Chase Brown this year.
29:36Um, chase Brown of cook is gone. Then I'm taking Chase Brown, but definitely cook is there that I'm pressing the button on him.
29:43My tier for those round two running backs. I'm a little bit more worried about Hampton than you are, but I will concede the upside is definitively there.
29:52Uh, I would lean with Kenneth Walker, uh, or Derek Henry over him.
29:56Um, okay. A chance still in the conversation too.
29:58So any one of those guys, but I do have them above.
30:02Um, we don't have a Mario and Hampton right now.
30:05Um, I've got Kenneth Walker above him. Chase Brown above him.
30:08I've got Hampton, uh, nestled up like right next to Devon.
30:12A chance. Ashen Genty, Derek Henry. So anyway, you want to go in that tier.
30:16I'm fine with. Okay. Uh, 14 man pick eight here from Frankie love who she target in the first and second round.
30:23You laid it out. You like a Mon Ra or James cook kind of in that eight, eight tier in the first round.
30:30What about the second round? Second round. I'm looking at 14 man.
30:33I think you're looking at a, you're kind of getting into a little bit of a third round there too.
30:39In the second round. You're yeah. You're like a 20, you're like a 22 overall or so is where you're, you're sitting there.
30:46Kenneth Walker, Chris Alave, Devon H and Hampton. If they're not there, uh, Javante Williams, I'm willing to pull up the board.
30:53And he is gone because Williams is going too late, dude.
30:56Like I, I'm sorry. People are ridiculous. I am not worried about Jaden blue.
31:01I at all. None. Oh yeah. I'm not, I'm not pushing off that high, but I, yeah, I'm not worried about blue either.
31:08Um, are you, are you considering I'll throw in there too.
31:11Bowers is Bowers in that range for you. Bowers or McBride.
31:14Bowers is fine. But the problem that I have in a 14 man, I'm not, you have to give concessions in a 14 man.
31:22Yeah. My concessions in a deeper league or quarterback and tight end.
31:25I'm, I, I will build two and three people rooms in that kind of stuff.
31:30It, cause you have to give up somewhere. So in that I'm, I'm devaluing the onesie positions and I'll play matchups and
31:36I'll go late quarterback and late tight end. Yep.
31:39So it's really running back some wide receivers. I'm not paying up for tight end and a deeper league.
31:45I'm just not doing it. Okay. Here's a great question from Miranda checking in saying, uh, I have the third pick in
31:52a super flex league and I cannot decide to take Josh Allen or CMC or JT.
31:56I mean, that's a clear Josh Allen to me.
31:59Josh Allen. I don't want to hear Josh Allen.
32:02Yeah. I think it's, you know, I think it's just a little too cute.
32:06If you go with one of those running backs, like I, I imagine Drake may might be off the board if this
32:13is the case too, cause it might've gone the two running backs or Puka.
32:17Um, but I consider an elite, I would consider an elite wide receiver at the third pick.
32:22If you really didn't want to go quarterback over CMC and JT, like I'm not Len Puka or JSN or Jamar chase
32:29go before I would consider CMC or JT. It's Josh Allen.
32:32For me, you're looking at if you're pick three, one of the John Robinson, Jameer Gibbs, or Josh Allen's going to be there for you.
32:40So take whoever's there. Fantasy football is, uh, just followed us here.
32:43We appreciate that. And Miranda, thank you so much for, uh, resubbing for one month at the, uh, tier one for a two month streak.
32:51Thanks so much for that, Miranda. We really appreciate it.
32:54Full sand checking in as well saying 12 man full PPR.
32:57I'm having a hard time passing a Barkley or Walker for Jenty.
33:01Uh, I hesitate as a Raiders fan that Kubiak is going to put Washington in a position where he can take from Jenty.
33:08That's a very fair, um, argument here, Derek, Mike Washington, you know, this is a big bruising running back.
33:14Who's also lightning quick, had a huge performance out there in Indianapolis at the combine.
33:18I think we were all kind of disappointing with the landing spot of the Raiders.
33:23So how do you feel about potentially taking Barkley or Walker over the former Boise State Bronco?
33:28I will take Walker over him 10 times out of 10.
33:31I'm not taking Barkley over Jenty. I, I, I do not have Barkley ranked that high.
33:36Uh, is it more of just a conversation about the offense and the offensive line, Derek?
33:41Or is it more like you think Saquon could be like fading in his, you know, peak of his powers?
33:47I think Saquon, Saquon, the archetype of back that he is, is people.
33:51I love how people pick and choose their narratives.
33:54Like they talk about Kenneth Walker, like his success rate, and he's not a dependable player and he's always trying to hit home runs.
34:01And that's such a detriment to Kenneth Walker. I hate to break it to everybody, but Saquon Barkley is the exact same
34:08type of running back, but nobody talks about it.
34:10Like, yeah, that's fair. He is, he is incredibly talented, but a lot of what makes Saquon special is getting him into the second level of a defense.
34:19And when he's able to carve them up and break those big runs, the down to down stuff, like he literally might
34:26go like two yards, one yard minus three minus two, two yards, one yard breaks a 30 yard run.
34:31And then the stat line looks really nice, but that's a lot of what Saquon's game is.
34:36So like, I just have worries about a Philadelphia offensive line that has gotten old and hurt pretty fast.
34:42Hmm. Yeah. Okay. That's very, very fair. Um, I understand the question though, from full sending like I am shading towards Barkley
34:49right now, but they're all in a similar tier for me.
34:52So I don't blame you for going one way or the other right there.
34:56Full send, um, cap RV checking in thoughts on Kyron Williams for the season and thoughts on tank Dell with Higgins out
35:03for the year tanks kind of been on my radar.
35:06Derek is like a last round type of player.
35:09I think he's still in that conversation. I think you'll get a little more interest throughout your league now because of the Higgins injury.
35:16So thoughts on him and then thoughts on, are you taking a shot at Kyron Williams at current cost?
35:22I'll drive Kyron. I've, I've kind of always been characterized as a Kyron hater.
35:26It's, it's not that I hate Kyron. It's just, I like it when running backs are more efficient with their touches and
35:33work and all that kind of stuff. Yeah. And so Kyron is fine where he goes.
35:38I think he's appropriately priced. Like you're not going to hear me like, like slamming him or I'm not going to come
35:44on here and be like, Oh, Blake Corum, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
35:49Kyron has proven year after year after year, he's going to retain the role at this point outside of injury.
35:55Nothing is changing that. So Kyron is still going to be like a top 15 back flirting.
36:00I think it could dip a little bit. I don't think it will ever get to a 50 50, but is there
36:06a chance that the Rams are like, Hey, this is a 20 game season for us.
36:11Cause we have one goal, one goal only to use, you know, to get to the super bowl.
36:17And maybe they use Kyron a little bit less and, and just lean on Corum.
36:21That you're literally describing exactly what happened last year.
36:24And Kyron was still perfectly fine. So do you think there's a world where Corum could get to 200 touches just because
36:31their defense will also be better and they'll be running a little bit like that's a hot take.
36:36That was what we did a hot takes episode.
36:39Here recently. And that was one of my hot takes is that Corum goes for 200 plus carries, but it was spicy.
36:46But the problem with that is then you talk about to get there.
36:49It's not just the positive game script for him to get there.
36:53They have to be a pace up team and the play volume too, because like when we get into these things of,
37:00Oh, this guy is going to get this or this hundred targets, this many carries.
37:04You have to have the play volume. It's not just the offensive design.
37:08If they're a slow offense or they don't hit the play play volume mark, there's no, there's not a mathematical like possibility
37:15if everybody stays healthy for him to get there.
37:18So it's possible. I just don't think they're going to be a pace up offense enough.
37:23Now with the tank Dell stuff, I'm hopeful for tank Dell, but dude, it's like we still got to see him practice
37:29in full and be out there on a full time basis.
37:33That still hasn't happened yet. So I'm going to take the last round flyer on jail and all before I am tank
37:39Dell right now, if they're both on the board, but am I against anybody drafting tank Dell, especially in deeper league formats?
37:46No, it's fine. Awesome. Awesome. Glad to hear that.
37:49And here we got you're on saying, would you draft your dairy and price cicada up three stunk in a timeshare Derek?
37:55Like I was, I think aggressively drafting dairy and price, but I also liked kind of the discount on Charbonnet.
38:01I've brought them a little bit closer together in my ranking.
38:05I think it's because of the positive reports, but I've gone from a top 20 back on price to closer to a low end RB two.
38:13I'm fine with where he's going. I wouldn't call him like a, a draft target of mine, but he's certainly not an avoid either.
38:20Just that kind of feels appropriately priced. I agree with you right now in real time, ADP fantasy pros.com slash really ADP is RB 26 61st overall.
38:28I think I'm right in line with that. Yeah.
38:31I've got your Darian price, uh, RB 26. I okay.
38:34So the, the, the worry for Jadarian price is he's Kenneth Walker of last year.
38:38He gets no red zone work. He's the in between the twenties guy.
38:42Yeah. He gets a lot of passing work. He gets crushed on touchdowns.
38:46We've already seen that like unfold and that's priced into Jadarian prices ADP right now.
38:51But the upside is this coaching staff inherited Zach Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker.
38:55This last NFL draft, they got to go out and hand pick their guy.
38:59What if he's Kenneth Walker? They use their first pick on him.
39:03I know. Like what if he's Kenneth Walker, but he gets the red zone usage.
39:07Yeah. Like that is also in the range of outcomes.
39:10Oh yeah. Like that can happen. It's a good point.
39:13Yeah. Yeah. That's why I honestly think we're kind of drafting price like a little bit closer to his floor.
39:19Yes. Yeah. So I'm, I'm super, I'm super cool with price.
39:23I think it's a, but it's a great question.
39:25Um, Iran and I don't mind the shot on sharps either with where he's going in drafts, just in case, in case
39:32sharps does get all the goal line again, you know, he's a weekly flex then.
39:36Um, a Katie and splice. Great question here, Derek.
39:39And I really want to get your insight on this.
39:42You were once a saints fan, you relieved your saints fandom and you have come your back.
39:47And where should I invest in new Orleans outside of Chris Olave, Travis, TN and Chuck, if at all, I want to
39:54start with like ETN because of the Camara injury that he's going to be out at least a month.
40:00Have you raised your rankings on ETN or HN, whatever we're freaking calling them now.
40:04Oh, and is there anywhere else that you're taking a shot in redraft?
40:08I knew you liked dealt, but Jawan Johnson does seem to still be the tight end one.
40:13So just overall opinions here on new Orleans skill players.
40:16So let me give everybody first to run through a French and Cajun pronunciations.
40:21It's not ETN. It's not a Chan. It's a Chan.
40:24If you combine both of those, you just said a Chan.
40:27No, I said a Chan. E. E. E. E.
40:30E. So I'm going to school people on a little bit of Kate here that so that that is real.
40:36So it's not ETN. It's not a Chan. If you lump them together, that's what it is.
40:41But anyway, it's each. And so I did. I did bump up Travis H.
40:45And to RB 18 with the news of Camara, because the thing about it is, dude, is this the and I haven't gotten confirmation chat.
40:53Tell me if I if you've seen this and I'm wrong here.
40:56Is this the same MCL issue he had from last year on the same knee?
41:01If that is the case, he's going to be out longer than a freaking month.
41:06Like a month is conservative. So I have bumped Travis E.
41:09Chan up to RB 18 in that, that DeAndre Swift, David Montgomery, Kyron Williams type of tier above Jeremiah Love, Josh Jacobs,
41:16Basial Toot and that whole other split backfield. We don't know what to do with these guys.
41:21I think he's going to be the workhorse. And I think that with Kamara out, Kendrick Miller can't stay healthy.
41:27See Devin Neal, I liked him as a prospect, but he really was a nothing burger for them.
41:32I'm not worried about anybody taking work away from him.
41:35He could be inefficient all he wants to be.
41:38And I still think he's going to be a strong RB2 now with Kamara dealing with this because dude, it just, he's not a young running back.
41:46He's already had any issues just going back to last year.
41:50If this persists, like Kamara might miss the whole season or never be a hundred percent.
41:54So you could be giving, getting Travis E. Chan at his floor and he could just go back to being what he
42:01was with the Jaguars and being like a borderline RB1.
42:04And you're investing in it. And what I project to be a really freaking good offense.
42:09Um, great point with the Jordan Tyson news. I bumped Chris Alave up to wide receiver seven.
42:14Everybody was like, Oh my gosh. But to everybody, do you not realize that Chris Alave was the wide receiver seven in fantasy points per game last year?
42:23So this ranking scene, there's a health risk though, right?
42:26There's a health risk. There's a health risk. Have it.
42:29Okay. To that point though, have we not learned in the last two weeks of training camp, there's a health risk for everybody playing the sport of football.
42:37We like to pick and choose that narrative when it suits us to knock down a player.
42:42But the reality is any of these guys can get hurt on any play, any practice, anytime.
42:47That reality is there. Chris Alave also last year was healthy.
42:51I'm not worried about it. Right? So I'm going to draft Chris Alave with confidence.
42:55I did bump up a Juwan Johnson with the Jordan Tyson stuff.
42:59Juwan Johnson is my tight end 14. But again, if you're going to tell me at his cost, I think he is a wonderful bet.
43:06And somebody, the perfect tight end strategy, if you're waiting on tight end draft Juwan Johnson or Dallas Goddard and George Kittle
43:13late pick one of those other guys and George Kittle, you're getting a mix of floor, probably low in tight end one
43:20production and upside with those late selections. And I saw Katie and throw this in the chat.
43:25I'm going to add this on to Bryce Lance is the wide receiver to assuming we do not get Jordan Tyson this year.
43:32And I think that that is a decent assumption to make because at this point, this is not a short term thing.
43:39Dude was hurt in the pre-draft process. He was hurt in rookie camp.
43:43He got hurt again in training camp. Yeah, this is FedEx.
43:46Like shove Jordan Tyson into a giant FedEx box box and send him to freaking see the doctor that that consulted with
43:53Christian Watson and Marshawn Lloyd, because this is all compensatory issue stuff over years and years and years of knee injuries, hamstring injuries and stuff like that.
44:01I don't know if we see the Saints are not going to be aggressive with Jordan Tyson.
44:06If they have the type of season, I think they can have this year.
44:10They are going to be slow with ramping up Jordan Tyson, because if they're winning games, they're looking at Jordan Tyson could
44:17be the stretch run bump of basically us trading for a wide receiver, but we don't have to make a trade down the back half of the season.
44:25So right now, I think it is very telling that Bryce Lance got put in bubble wrap for preseason week one with
44:32all of the rest of the starters. And yes, people came out and they said, oh, he was banged up in a scrimmage.
44:39If you want to bubble wrap a rookie, but you don't want everybody to know you bubble wrap the rookie so he
44:46doesn't go out there, but he's being looked at as a clear starter.
44:50What are you going to say to the media?
44:52What are you going to say? Because he didn't miss any practice time this week.
44:57He was immediately right back out there and routing dudes up and looking awesome.
45:01Again, this is my PSA for everybody to draft Bryce Lance with the last pick of your drafts.
45:06Like if it's Bryce Lance and Tank Dale are on the board, I'm taking Bryce Lance 10 times out of 10.
45:13Okay. All right. You drafting Jordan Tyson at all or no?
45:16No, I'm avoiding him like the plague. No. Okay.
45:19Sounds good. We're going to get some rapid fire action.
45:22But before we do, a quick reminder to join our Fantasy Pros Discord community if we don't get to any of your questions today.
45:29Or if you just have more that come up during your drafts throughout the season, you can chat with other fans and
45:36get access to exclusive AMAs that actually wind up on our podcast feed.

45:55Eastern with Out of Bounds. Come get your questions answered and be on the show at FantasyPros.com slash chat.
46:01That's got to be like the greatest vanity URL all time.
46:04FantasyPros.com slash chat. That's how easy we make it, Derek.
46:07I know. And it's slash real ADP. We're trying to make it easy for people here.
46:12Yeah. That's what we do, baby. I'm going to guess Mike Mayer did not come up with that one.
46:18That seems a little above his pay grade if you ask me.
46:22Yeah. Well, you know, Mayer only has content whenever it suits him at these days.
46:26So we should. Yeah. How about it? Let's go to some rapid fire here.
46:30Okadoka wants to know, in a league where you can only keep someone in drafted in rounds 12 to 16, we call
46:37these sleeper keeper leagues, already keeping Olave as my 16th rounder.
46:40Is Chris Rodriguez Jr. worth keeping as my 15th rounder, knowing that I would lose an opportunity to draft someone where I can keep next year?
46:48Touchdowns worth extra in leagues. I'm not keeping Chris Rodriguez for any type of draft equity.
46:53No, it's not worth it. I'm not keeping him period.
46:56Nope. Yeah. Yep. Easy enough. Just not enough upside, right?
46:59Can you use one man to cover Jacoby Lane hype?
47:02To be clear, I've been on him since April right after the draft when I asked one of the pros if he
47:09could be a dollar store Mike Evans for Dynasty and they thought I was crazy, but he just went first round in one of my rookie drafts.
47:17First round is too high for Jacoby Lane. Like you're drinking all of the hype Kool-Aid.
47:22That is absolutely wild. Um, I like playing as a prospect.
47:25We talked about him on the NFL draft. Same.
47:28My comp for him was Kenny Galladay. Like I thought he was a clasher type, more of a downfield guy.
47:34I had questions about could he develop into a high volume wide receiver?
47:38Right. But also, let's also take this with a grain of salt.
47:42Like some of the Baltimore beat reports are absolutely just insane.
47:45The best prospect camp I've seen and do do do do.
47:48Like, come on, dude. Like I get you got it.
47:51I get you got to get clicks, but that's also some wildness.
47:55Like I like Lane. I think that he could have a solid rookie season.
47:59I'm still not going. I'm not drafting him in the first round of a rookie draft.
48:04That's just crazy. Same. Um, here's a question from Full Send.
48:0712 man full PPR. Has it taken Loveland in the third or fourth round?
48:12Such great wide receiver options, especially if I'm looking to take two running backs in the first round.
48:17Yeah. If you go to running backs in the first round, you can, you cannot go Loveland.
48:22You need to like your next three to four picks after that have to be wide receiver.
48:27So that is the caveat with take it at least in a 12 team league.
48:32That's how I feel. I don't want to go into the fourth round, having one wide receiver going to the fifth round, having one wide receiver.
48:40And if I took them in the third, I can't do it.
48:43I think you can take Loveland in the third, if you go RB, RB, but also this, I'm going to give this to the caveat though, Seth.
48:52You need to look at where do you sit on that tier of wide receivers?
48:56Do you like a lot of guys there? Do you think there's a lot of value?
49:01I think there's a lot of value and I think you can play catch up at wide receiver in rounds four through six.
49:08Not everybody views it that way. So it depends on what wide receivers do you like?
49:13I'm not against going Loveland after taking two running backs, but it depends on how the draft is going.
49:19What do you think about that tier of wide receivers, their floors and upside?
49:23Like I'm above consensus on guys like Parker Washington.
49:26I freaking love Christian Watson. I love Jalen Waddle.
49:28So there's a lot, Terry McLaurin, there's a lot of guys in that range that I love.
49:33So I'm comfortable doing that, but that's not the same case for everybody.
49:37So I could see it both ways. Okay. Here's one from Zaytron.
49:41Would you keep T Higgins or neighbors? This is clearly neighbors for me.
49:45Yeah. They're not close. Okay. Easy neighbors. Yep. Aaron in his draft, his options will be more Evans Watson to in, or I could take a top quarterback.
49:53Should I take the quarterback? I mean, I kind of like Christian Watson out of all those players personally, but I guess
50:00it just depends what your team looks like before you get there.
50:04Like if you're loaded at wide receiver and someone really like, I mean, if Josh Allen or something falls in, which they
50:10probably won't to this range, then I would consider.
50:13But aside from that, like I do like punting quarterback for the most part.
50:17I like all three of those wide receivers and I love that everybody's now coming around to DJ more after calling him
50:24wash off all off season after one preseason game.
50:27As the world turns my friend, as the world turns the big dance lad waddle or JMO 10 team half PPR.
50:33I like all these three wide receivers waddles the highest and okay.
50:37Yep. Waddle not close. I have Waddle as a wide receiver.
50:40One of my rankings. Woo. All right. All right.
50:43I mean, I'm high on him. I think I am about like 16 right now.
50:47So, um, very, and I also really like JMO this year.
50:51He might be my all in pick. I I'm, I'm all the way bought in, but that being said, you know, where you can get them.
50:59I would take Waddle first with CMC replaying 2024.
51:01Which running back is his handcuffed, Derek? Who the hell knows?
51:05Jordan James is back after, after popping a rib.
51:07I think you're looking at between Jordan James and Caelan black talent wise.
51:11The guy that I would, I would, I'm not in on Jordan James at all.
51:16I would take Caelan black or I would just not even touch that backfield behind CMC.
51:21Okay. Fair enough. Yeah. I don't see it being like a strong arm one person.
51:25I see it being more of committee if CMC were to go down.
51:29What do you guys think of Malik Washington and Jalen Naylor this year?
51:33Like they're not on my draft board personally. I'm like, you know me, I'm taking, I'm taking best if I'm taking anyone
51:40out of that offense and like, just give me the shot on Caelan with Douglas being something over Malik.
51:46Like I know I'll take Bryce Lance over both those guys.
51:49I'll take Keenan Allen. I'll take other guys. Like I, I just think we've seen a longer sample size of both of those guys being okay.
51:57NFL players, but not high end target earners. I'm not, I, I, I, Naylor if you got to pick between one of
52:03them, but I really don't want to draft either.
52:06See, I would almost go the, I almost think like Malik's at least going to give you maybe some PPR floor every week.
52:13See, and I think, I think they're talented rookies.
52:16Like once, if Kevin Coleman gets on the field, he's going to shove Malik into, into nothingness.
52:21Caleb Douglas, you can say the same thing. Chris Bell, who's already practicing.
52:25He can say the same thing. So I think Malik Washington is a placeholder.
52:29So. Okay. Okay. Um, here we got James saying thoughts on my draft in the next message.
52:34He's in a one quarterback, two wide receiver, two running back, two flex and one kicker league.
52:40And of course a tight end as well. I'm looking for your team.
52:43Oh, there we go. Okay. Here we go. We got Allen and Gibbs, ETN, Jalen Warren, JCM, Rashad White, Bowers, Pitts, Luther
52:50Burden, Roma, Dunze, McLaurin, Coker, Abuka, Godwin, T-Law, Dicker.
52:53Yeah. I like it. I'm with it. This is, it's a good team.
52:57Is it super? Yeah. Yeah. This is pretty, pretty nice.
53:00Actually. What are you? Metal James? Like, why'd you take T-Law after you drafted Josh Allen?
53:05Or was that a keeper or something? Like I wouldn't have taken a second quarterback if I had Josh Allen, but you know, it depends.
53:12Yeah. That is. That's one. It is a little.
53:15Okay. I mean, the team is still freaking awesome, man.
53:18So kudos. Um, A. Yeah. I know Metal James plays in a lot of eight team leagues.
53:23Let us know if that's one of those eight teams.
53:26He says one QB, just wanted a backup. I get it.
53:30I mean, but I think where you're drafting Josh Allen, you draft like you're right.
53:34You don't draft for an injury. Yeah. And like you draft like he's going to stay healthy because that's the cost you're paying in a draft.
53:42If he gets hurt, you're screwed anyway. Oh, it's an eight teamer.
53:46Got it. Got it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
53:48That's what I thought. Then that's fine. Yes, I get it.
53:52I'm more on taking a high end backup there.
53:54Again, winning for the onesie positions. Slatatui with his next comment saying, uh, Ratatui is great movie, by the way.
54:00Um, any, any tips for a dynasty startup draft, Derek?
54:03What do you have here for Slat? For me, it's like, I'm not afraid to trade and move around the board.
54:10And like, I like the productive struggle personally the best.
54:13I want to target young guys. I want the old heads.
54:16So if Slat's asking us for tips, I'm guessing you're more new to dynasty.
54:20So a lot of things like you need to be using the dry, the dynasty trade value chart and stuff.
54:27The hardest part about anybody getting into dynasty new is trading during a draft because if you're not familiar with it, you
54:33can get railroaded really quickly and make some really bad trades.
54:37I'd say the most usual trade structure in a dynasty startup is I'll just use this like tiered kind of stuff.
54:43And you said, you already know where I'm going.
54:46Like, just say you gave up your first round pick and your fourth round pick and you get a second round pick and a third round pick back.
54:54A lot of people will use that type of like trading strategy and like, just say like, just juxtapose that with like, just to give examples.
55:02Like, uh, I give up my fifth and eighth round pick and I get your sixth and seventh round pick or something like that.
55:09Like, so for dynasty startups and you know, I would say, um, be very mindful of where you sit with players, like
55:16getting guys that at the end of a tier, if you're more hesitant about trading up, trading back in the early parts,
55:23do it in the later parts in the middle rounds when it's more cost prohibited to do it.
55:28Um, where it's easier to do that as well, to go up and get a guy that's the last of a tier.
55:35But the other thing I'll say slat is head to discord, hit me up in DMS.
55:40We can have a much longer conversation, uh, in that forum that we can have here.
55:44Also check out the fancy pros dynasty YouTube channel as well.
55:48Right now, we just did a startup mock draft a couple of weeks ago on the channel.
55:53Uh, so you can check that out slatter to me.
55:56And then also, uh, keep in mind, I think we just did rankings episodes maybe within the last five to six weeks.
56:03So some things have changed, but, um, I would certainly check those episodes out as well.
56:07That's a great resource that Pat and, uh, Boggs and the boys are taking care of over there.
56:13Lambreezy, uh, in a standard league, full PPR with one quarterback, two running back, two wide receiver, one flex, one tight end defense and a kicker.
56:21Is it better to prioritize the onesie position or get depth at running back and wide receiver and focus later?
56:27This is going to depend. Like I'm just going to give a general rule for this, which we've talked about.
56:33Yes. If you're in an eight or yeah, eight or 10, you're going to want to prioritize those onesies.
56:39If you're 12 or 14, the bigger, the league, the less you prioritize it.
56:43That's how we would say that. Exactly. Good set of them.
56:46Um, here we go. We got Hayes checking in saying, uh, is it crazy to draft Josh Allen and James Cook in
56:53the first two rounds at the nine spot too early for Josh, uh, or having quarterback running back from the same team.
57:00I just can't take a quarterback and round two.
57:02I can't, I can't endorse you taking Josh Allen that early taking, taking a running back and a quarterback for the same team is totally fine.
57:10I think the best at cost bet you could probably make with that right now is Murray and Hampton and Justin Herbert,
57:17um, or Devon H and Malik Willis. Uh, but no, I'm not drafting Josh Allen that damn early.
57:22No way. No, no way. Can't do it. Can't get more to get Tyson.
57:27Fair is what you get accepted. That's the rule in dynasty.
57:30I'd fair is what gets accepted. Yeah. I would, I don't think that's going to be gets, if you can get that accepted, especially, and that's not crazy.
57:38It depends on if somebody's like, okay, fine. I give up.
57:42I'm out on Tyson. If you can get that accepted, do it and do it for Tyson.
57:47Totally fine with that. Yeah. I just got three first round picks in a, in a rookie draft for someone to move
57:53up four spots to take Jordan Tyson before that injury.
57:57So yeah, every, everything's fair, but I think you're going to probably need to add more to RJ Harvey to get Tyson.
58:03But, um, are you guys in on Panthers? RB Jonathan Brooks.
58:07I'm RB 26 right now. Derek. I've made the train baby.
58:10Okay. Let's go. Yes. I've been in on the Brooks since freaking January people.
58:14Yes. I'm still in. Yes. Do you want to know like the type of season I think we're going to get out of him?
58:21Please remember Chris. Do you know Chris ivory with the jets?
58:25Do you remember that? Uh huh. It's not going to be sexy, but I think you could get, you know, somewhere between
58:3110 and 13 PPR points a week with Jonathan Brooks.
58:34Like, I don't think, I think he's going to be out there.
58:38I think he's, you know, not going to be a thousand yard rush or anything, but I think he could have eight, 900 yards.
58:45And I think you could have six to seven touchdowns and have some passing game involvement.
58:50Where are you at right now on, on, on Brooks D bro.
58:54What if he has a season that is akin to Quen Sean Judkins, but he's actually really freaking good at football.
59:00I mean, then be crazy. Then it's a league winner.
59:03And he's in a better offense. It's a league winner then.
59:07Yeah. RB three price tag. He's going to be a strong RB two.
59:10I do not care about Hubbard. I do not care.
59:13I do not. Okay. So you, you see the ceiling maybe a little bit higher than I do, but I think it's a great floor play.
59:21Either way. 15 running back this year. When we flip over the cards, we're in the middle of the season.
59:27I think Jonathan Brooks could be top 15. So loggers and touts checking in or stouts actually loggers and stouts.
59:33I thought you were talking about touts, but talking about stouts, I'm not a stout or really a logger guy personally.
59:40But that's just me. It's never. I like light beer, but you know, you and your, you and your bush apples are pretty good.
59:47Pretty good. Which side do you like more AJ Brown and a mid to early 27 first?
59:52Or Odunze, Lad, and Concepcion? Oh, so this is a compete versus a rebuild conversation.
59:57I think it's fair either. I think it's fair.
60:00I'm probably taking. Again, this depends on your context of your team.
60:03If I'm competing for a championship, give me the AJ Brown part.
60:07If I am middle of the road or, or punt it down the road, then I'm taking the Odunze side.
60:13Okay. Keeper League here for Bach asking, he's got a Keeper League.
60:17We need to keep two players for $10 more than last year.
60:20I put the sleeper projections next to them for my specific leagues.
60:24$250 budget, 12-man full PBR. Options are Bucky Irving, $21.
60:27You can do Bijan Robinson, $85. Devonta Smith, $32.
60:30Who should I keep? Bijan and Smith. Let's just not overcomplicate this.
60:33Yep. Agreed. Hayes. Oh, we already got to Hayes' question.
60:36Hayes is crazy. We know this. A little spammy action.
60:39Okay. We've gotten to a couple of these. Come here.
60:42Come on down. Trey Peck asking, two quarterback league, first round, Josh and Lamar.
60:47Second round, a running back or two quarterbacks round one and two?
60:50Two. If it's a straight two quarterbacks, so a little bit different than Superflex two.
60:55I would take Josh and a running back. This also depends how you're...
60:59Okay, so the problem with stuff like this is in 2QB or Superflex, every room is totally different.
61:04That's why Superflex rankings do not matter, honestly. You need to...
61:07My approach with this, with two quarterback or Superflex leagues, understand who do you like as far as quarterbacks, where they're going
61:14in drafts, and being open, depending on how the draft goes, to building a variety of different quarterback rooms.
61:20Like, are you in on late quarterback? So are you comfortable going with, like, a Tyler Shuck, Malik Willis, Jared Goff, 3QB type of room?
61:27Are you more like, I got to get one, like, awesome quarterback and then punt QB2?
61:32This is a philosophical question, but also understanding that, like, none of those drafts...
61:37No two rooms are the same when we're talking about 2QB.
61:40So, like, I think it's Josh and then figure out QB2.
61:43But again, it depends on your room, dude. Yeah, it certainly does.
61:47Derek, great stuff today, man. Appreciate all your hard work you're doing to, you know, updating the rankings every single day.
61:53You look at someone who's spending the most time on the expert platform.
