0:26And we're still nursing our hangovers coming off the Fantasy Pros Fantasy Fest and the after party.
0:31But the NFL never sleeps as the preseason continues with a full slate of games tonight.
0:35So we've got an NFL Q&A coming your way right here on twitch.tv slash fantasy pros.
0:40I'm your host Seth Wilcock back with a man who has become very well known around these parts for his short form content on Fantasy Pros YouTube channel.
0:48He is Lucas Wentzel. Lucas, great to have you here on the program.
0:51How are you on this fine Thursday afternoon? Any big plans on the agenda for the second to last weekend without pro football on the agenda?
0:59Great to be here. Thanks for the kind introduction to goodness.
1:02I'm just happy to make content. It's what I love doing, but nothing.
1:05I'll be honest. Nothing this weekend. You and I had the mics on before we started the live stream here.
1:11I just told you moved into a new house and everything.
1:14So I am looking forward to a weekend of doing nothing after moving everything this last weekend.
1:19So you say big plans. My big plans are me on the couch this weekend.
1:23So nothing exciting for me. Hey, not too bad of a way to do it.
1:27I completely understand the move takes a lot out of you.
1:31I think I've, you know, before I moved into my house in the last year, I think I probably moved 10 times in the last 14 years.
1:38So completely understand that not a bad weekend to do it, though.
1:41Of course, we've got week zero for college football firing up.
1:45I myself got roped into a late Saturday evening camping trip up to the lake.
1:49So going to be doing that with the wives and some friends and some kids.
1:53So that's really what I got going on. I'm sure I'll be on the clock a couple of different places as well
1:59as I seemingly have been on like across like five different platforms right now.
2:03So I'm just getting dings to my email, dings to my text, ding to my notifications all day long.
2:08Lucas, any more drafts for you here so far this redraft season?
2:12Yeah, I've still got like my two most prominent home leagues coming up.
2:15So the one that I've been running a home league for goodness, we're going on like 12, 13 years now.
2:21Yeah, that draft is coming up Labor Day weekend.
2:24And then just started up actually a new keeper league this year with a few of my buddies as well.
2:29And that is a week. That was a week from yesterday.
2:32So six days away. So no, we're I'm in the thick of it.
2:36I like encourage all if I'm not the manager.
2:39I encourage all my other managers of like, hey, can we not draft like two weeks before the season?
2:44Can we can we wait as long as possible?
2:46Because it's been landmine city here. It seems like over the last week and a half, two weeks.
2:51I couldn't agree more, dude. I have been just keeping my head on a swivel every second.
2:56I feel like when I wake up and go to bed, the last thing I'm doing is scrolling Adam Shepter's Twitter feed.
3:02You know, my wife's probably wondering, like why the usage time is so high up on him and rap sheets profiles.
3:08Right. But that's kind of what we have to do this time of year and excited to dive into.
3:14I think I have about four drafts left one.
3:16I still need to actually pick a date and a time for being a commissioner of one.
3:21So, yeah, definitely need to get on that for sure.
3:24Looks like we have some fine folks joining us today as well.
3:27So go ahead and drop your questions below and we'll be sure to get to them as many as we can over the next 45 to 60 minutes.
3:35And we want to make sure that you guys are using the Fancy Pros tools right now at fancypros.com.
3:40Make sure you're checking out the whole suite over there.
3:43If you have your drafts, the Fancy Pros draft assistant is a must have.
3:47We just did a Fancy Pros insider league here within the last couple of days that absolutely cleaned up in.
3:53It was a 16 team league and I was glad to have the assistant there with me.
3:58Also, make sure after the stream, you guys are checking out the Fancy Pros YouTube channel and the podcast feed for our
4:04full offerings of episodes and some short form content coming your way.
4:07And also just one more time, if you guys can do us a quick favor and make sure you're following the channel.
4:13And if you aren't already subscribe right now, you can do so for free with Amazon Prime Gaming.
4:18Looks like the questions are coming in fast and furious.
4:21First of all, I want to check in on some friends.
4:24We got Drezzy checking in saying, hey, what's up, Drezzy?
4:27Great to see you. We got TCB saying howdy, Seth and Lucas.
4:30Good to see you, TCB. Thanks for checking back in with us and a whole lot of questions coming our way as well.
4:37Let's go ahead and start at the top here.
4:39Lucas with W Collins always front and center here saying what's up boys.
4:43I have the fifth pick and in all my mocks.
4:46It's usually Puka, JSN or CMC at that spot.
4:48Which one would be the better option? I'm going to 12 team half PPR, two wide receiver, two running back, one tight end and a flex league.
4:56So pretty standard type of format here. Lucas, who do you have the highest in your rankings?
5:01Because it is Puka to me. But JSN, I do have at five overall.
5:05So I wouldn't mind taking him if people are, you know, going after Puka early in the draft.
5:10Despite, you know, some of the rumors floating around surrounding him right now.
5:13Yeah, it's still Puka very clearly in my opinion because I just want the top pass catcher who can produce top three
5:20numbers on what I think is the consensus agreement that the Rams are going to be the best offense in the NFL.
5:26So I'm with you on Puka. I would love to sit here and have a debate around how much do you dock
5:32Christian McCaffrey for quote unquote tightness because he would be ahead of JSN.
5:36But as soon as that comes out and you're like, OK, do I really want to play this game, though?
5:41I think I still give JSN the safety edge there now.
5:44But once upon a time before Christian McCaffrey had whatever the heck tightness is, I did have him ahead of JSN.
5:50But it's Puka out of those three for me.
5:53Yeah, I talked to Dr. Deepak Chona and Boggs on Monday on an episode and, you know, Deepak really said that he
5:59was kind of a fan of CMC's plan to ramp up early in the preseason, then kind of ramp himself back down
6:05and then hopefully get back up to full speed by week one.
6:09So he's in on CMC. So I'm not overly concerned about the injury, but at the same time, like this is always
6:15going to be a question mark with Christian McCaffrey.
6:17Erickson's gave us, you know, the laundry list of trends that do not support him reproducing his RB1 finish from a year ago.
6:24So we shall see. But definitely Puka is the clear one.
6:27W Collins, if he's there for both Lucas and I.
6:30Reaper is checking in saying, happy Thursday. Happy Thursday to two.
6:33Reaper is saying, what do you guys think of the top three most impactful pieces of news are in this year's draft for a standard league?
6:40So, again, I think we're going to talk at the top of the draft, right?
6:44Like what's happening with Puka Nukua? Will there be a suspension?
6:47Christian McCaffrey, will he be 100% healthy? But then even Lucas, we have this like slog of running backs in the second
6:53and third round, whether it's Kenneth Walker, whether it's down the board a little bit more.
6:58Jeremiah Love, what's happening with him. Josh Jacobs. Josh Jacobs, like Ash and Jenty, that whole tier that they're all kind of banged up.
7:05Those are kind of the biggest storylines to me.
7:07Do you have any other ones that you would throw out there for Reapers to keep in mind?
7:12Yeah, I was going to say, I feel like we could do three headlines alone on just the running back position within the first three rounds.
7:20And those are probably going to be the most important.
7:22I think the other one, too, maybe that impacts fantasy rankings the most.
7:26I do think is the Jordan Tyson news, obviously, of him missing two months, just because I think that that does wonders
7:32for Chris Olave's value this year, in my opinion.
7:35So that would be the other one. But I think I'm with you.
7:38Like the running back ones are the major ones you have to keep an eye on, especially Ashton Jenty.
7:44What the heck are we doing with his ADP now?
7:47So I'm 100% with you. But especially as we get closer to drafts, like the Ashton Jenty pieces is the one that
7:53I am for sure keeping as close tabs on as possible.
7:56Yeah. Yeah. And I also think we need to keep in mind the Atlanta quarterback situation.
8:00We're going to hear more. There's some rumors flying around right now that Tua Tagovailoa might be actually playing for a roster
8:07spot today, that Michael Pennix likely going to be the day one starter.
8:10So that might hurt Drake London in rankings a little bit.
8:13I don't think it takes Bijan off his 101 or 102, however you like to cut him up at the top.
8:19But certainly, you know, Drake London and Kyle Pitts, we might have to adjust the rankings if it is Michael Pennix Jr.
8:25under center, because I think a lot of us were kind of under the impression, Lucas, that it would be Tua Tagovailoa
8:32from week one, because that's kind of why we thought they brought him in.
8:36Let's Michael Pennix kind of slow play and get back to health with this injury.
8:40Yeah, 100%. That seemed to be the like almost guaranteed Tua's playing at least four games this year.
8:45If he's fighting for a freaking roster spot now.
8:47Yeah. Oh, brother. I can't imagine how bad the camp has been for him.
8:51Yeah, absolutely. They're with you. Shout out to our friends, Edaddy, Rive Rio, and Pacman Willie for some new followers to the channel.
8:58We really appreciate that support there. And let's go ahead and no, I did not see Seth.
9:03You see my Discord PFP? No, I did not.
9:05I'll have to look at that Prezi. My apologies for missing you there, but fancypros.com slash chat.
9:10That's where you can find us over there. I'll make sure I check that out, man.
9:14I might have gone to... That's the thing I hate about direct messaging sometimes, like no matter the platform.
9:20Sometimes you have to even accept it, right? Right.
9:22It's not even like it's just going to be in my inbox.
9:26It's like, this person has sent you a request to DM me.
9:29Like, just... I'm not that special. Everyone can DM me, right?
9:32So, yeah. That's how I feel about it. Let's get to a question here from Drezzy as well saying, and a 10-man Superflex Dynasty League.
9:39My quarterbacks are Lamar, Stroud, Darnold, and Nix. Should I move Lamar?
9:42And if I do, what should I look for in return?
9:46I'm not a contender this year. I'm kind of in a rebuild type of stage.
9:50Lucas, to me, like, I don't hate the idea if you have Stroud, Darnold, and Nix already.
9:55Like, can I sell Lamar for picks if I'm not contending, right?
9:58Like, 2027, we just did a preview of the class.
10:01It'll be out on the Dynasty channel a little bit later this afternoon.
10:04This is a loaded class that I'm trying to get first-round picks, and if I could get a 2027, a 2028 first,
10:11maybe a 2027 second, but would that be something you would entertain for Lamar Jackson?
10:15I think I would. I think whenever I consider a rebuild in Dynasty, though, I do need to take the deep breath
10:21of, like, do I understand what I'm actually getting myself into, right?
10:24Yeah. Because it's easy in theory to say, oh, I can just sell Lamar Jackson for picks.
10:29Yes, but then the reality is you have to recognize, no, I am, like, I am sinking my team for the foreseeable two, three, four, five years, right?
10:37Depending on what goes right and or wrong with your rebuild.
10:40Especially in a 10-man because it is shallower, so you need those difference makers.
10:44Exactly, yes. So that's my only, like, pause on the question, is, like, fully embrace that this is what you're getting yourself into.
10:50If you're willing to take that plunge, if you're willing to sacrifice the next two, three, four years, by all means, yes,
10:57go see what picks you can get for the 2027 class because in a 10-man league, I got to imagine people would
11:03be willing to pay up for those picks to get an edge at quarterback in what's, you know, a smaller league specifically.
11:09Yeah, and while, you know, Darnold and Stroud aren't going to get you quite the return that Lamar would, float them around in a package.
11:16See what you could get for maybe both of them or just, you know, put them with a skilled position player or a lesser pick.
11:23See if you can get it in the 2027 first round.
11:26But, Dreezy, that's really where I am. If I'm making trades at this point in the year when I don't know what
11:32my outlook looks like and, you know, because you say you're more of a rebuilder but still in a 10-team league, anything could happen.
11:39You know, six teams are probably making the playoffs there, I imagine, still.
11:43So lots up in the air. So, yeah, I like Lucas' thought that, hey, if you're going to sell Lamar, just be,
11:49you know, be wary that it could be a long journey back to relevancy there for you.
11:54Dead Zone Spectre checking in, saying, I have the number two pick in my keeper league, Gibbs and Bijon Kep.
11:59Sounds like Chase is going to be going first.
12:02Who would you guys go with second? My keepers were Monongai for the 11th round, Judkins for the 5th round.
12:07Would you want to go wide receiver first or stack another running back?
12:11So, basically, we're looking at, you know, Chase, Gibbs, Bijon off the board.
12:15Puka is still who I have next on my redraft board, all things considered.
12:19Yourself, Lucas? Yeah, that's exactly where I'm at as well.
12:22Assuming Puka isn't being kept either, then, yes, that'd be my pick.
12:25Okay, and we also have a little bit of a breaking headline news here to get to as well.
12:30The Dolphins have traded wide receiver Tutu Atwell back to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for running back George Quez Hunter,
12:36a talented guy coming out of Auburn a couple years ago.
12:40Does this concern you at all, if you're a Puka manager, that maybe they think something is coming down their way?
12:45Or do you think this is just like, hey, the Rams have been looking for a third or fourth additional wide receiver
12:52out there, and maybe that's Tutu Atwell coming back to town?
12:55Yeah, I think the latter and Tutu Atwell has the familiarity in Los Angeles already.
12:59And like, look, I'm not going to pretend Jarquez Hunter moving off is like a big, massive boost for Blake Corum or
13:05anything, but like, is that also a vote of confidence?
13:08And then the one-two punch that the Rams have in Kyron and Blake Corum then too.
13:12So I think Tutu Atwell has the familiarity. I'm sure that was kind of a, we need somebody in here, especially if
13:19we're bracing for Puka to miss time. But I don't want to say it's a nothing burger, but it's moving the needle like a fraction for me.
13:26And like, eh, Puka comes down. I'm not moving off of him though.
13:30But I also wonder what that means in terms of the confidence and Calvin Williams and Blake Corum then as well.
13:36Yeah, I mean, I'm pretty in on both of them right now at current costs.
13:40Like, I think Blake Corum could honestly be a viable weekly flex, especially if the Rams are playing in more positive game scripts.
13:46And like, truthfully, their season doesn't start till, what, late November Thanksgiving time where they're going to have to really maybe dial
13:53Kyron back just a little bit, maybe expand that Blake Corum workload.
13:56So yeah, I'm there with you as well. And before we keep it moving, just a quick reminder that if you are
14:02enjoying a stream, make sure you guys are following us so you don't miss any other streams.
14:07And if you also want to support the channel, unlock some custom emotes and watch us ad-free.
14:12Consider subscribing. It helps us keep these streams going all season long.
14:15And let's see some of those subscribers in the chat.
14:18If you guys are a subscriber, go ahead and drop some of the, either the DJ Seth emoji or the old man
14:24Tycoon oil drill and Seth too as well. We have some fun ones over there.
14:28So let's see those, spam those in the chat for us.
14:31That'd be super fun. Here's one from OJ Ricky.
14:34Hey guys, just wondering if you guys had the fourth pick, who you would pick up.
14:38I'm mostly seeing Puka and I'm not really impressed with him with the injury and possible suspension.
14:43So if you wanted to avoid Puka there at the 104, is this somewhere Lucas that you would consider going CMC or JSN?
14:50It's JSN for me, kind of with the bullet, if Chase is off the board and those top two running backs and
14:56I don't want to go Puka, but would you make the argument that it could be someone else?
15:01Could I also offer an Amon Ross St. Brown if that is your flavor as well?
15:05That's fine too. I have gone back and forth between him and JSN in my rankings.
15:10So I know in our list earlier, we talked about Puka, JSN, McCaffrey.
15:14I would also slot Amon Ross St. Brown in there.
15:16If you really just want the consistency, if you want the...
15:19Yes. Like, I don't know how the Lions ended up.
15:22I mean, I know how they ended up with the cakewalk schedule.
15:26They finished last in the NFC North last year.
15:28But when you look at the schedule, you look at how many games they're playing indoors this year, 12 of 17 games.
15:3412 of 17, yes. It's tempting. It's really tempting to just say, Amon Ross St.
15:39Brown, he's consistent wide receiver, three overall, top five points per game.
15:42Why don't I just get consistency right off the bat and I can figure out the rest of my team based off
15:48of probably one of the safest players in fantasy football.
15:51So I might offer that too as an option if that's more of your flavor.
15:55Yeah, I think the floor is definitely there. I mean, maybe this is the year I'm pretty high on Jared Goff.
16:01I got a ticket for him to lead the NFL in passing yards this season.
16:05I've been drafting Jameson Williams everywhere. So I don't hate the fact that maybe you take Amon Ross.
16:10He does feel a little bit safer than JSN.
16:13JSN though might have just a little bit higher of a ceiling, especially if that Seattle defense falls off just a little
16:19bit this season, playing tougher competition and losing some of the pieces they did in free agency.
16:24Looks like we have some of the spamming coming up, the emojis, some old oil tycoon Seth emojis coming in from Reapers
16:30and Collins and also Zauder using some of the fantasy pros emojis.
16:33We appreciate you guys so much for subscribing here right on twitch.tv slash fantasy pros.
16:38DPG up next. Okay, well, we just kind of got a lot of Puka questions.
16:42So we'll leave that one there. We kind of just shot it there.
16:45DPG. Here's another one from Dreezy. Is Daman Claiborne worth picking up off of waivers?
16:50I think he's worth having on the watch list.
16:52But personally, like I think he's still fighting an uphill battle being, you know, as low draft capital as he was.
16:58He wasn't also as fast as I thought he was going to be in the 40 yard dash.
17:03Like I'm kind of lower on Claiborne as a prospect.
17:06What about yourself here, Lucas? Do you have any more, you know, like to him in redraft purposes?
17:11I think I like your answer best of keep him on the watch list without knowing the size of the league or like formatting roster size specifically.
17:19I, yeah, I think he's probably more of a watch list player for me.
17:23The reason why I'm intrigued is just because Aaron Jones is 30 plus how many years old?
17:27What's his health like for the entire season? I don't, I also don't want to like rostered him on Claiborne and be
17:34like, well, Aaron Jones is going to miss five games this year.
17:37Well, we don't know which five games he's actually going to miss, right?
17:41And at that point, you're just clogging up a roster spot on a theoretical.
17:44So yeah, he's a watch list player for me.
17:47I'm also just a huge Jordan Mason fan this year as well.
17:50I think, I think the Vikings really want to base their entire run game off of him.
17:55And if they're going to be better this year, that's a lot more scoring opportunities for Jordan Mason to soak up a lot more of the work.
18:03So not to turn a DeMond Claiborne question into a Jordan Mason question, point being watch list.
18:08Sure, but it's more so perspective than anything else.
18:10Okay, good stuff there. Also wanted to shout out our friends Enrico who just followed us and or just resubbed actually for 12 months at tier one.
18:18Thank you so much for that. And Pat fan, new follower, Reapers just kept their sub gift and continued their sub.
18:24So thank you guys so much for that support.
18:26We really, really appreciate that. Coming back in here to some more questions.
18:30Let's see, is there a way to use draft decisions on mobile drafts or does it have to be on the computer?
18:36I think you can use it both ways here, Killer.
18:39I have definitely more leaned into doing it like on my desktop, but I think you can use it on the Fantasy Pros app.
18:45Go in and download that app, fantasypros.com slash apps and I'll get you over there, but try it out.
18:51Let us know. You can always message our customer support.
18:54They have, I think, like a 99 guaranteed satisfaction rating right now.
18:57So AJ and the boys will help you out over there if you do have any issues with it, Killer.
19:03But thanks so much for the question there. Not 100% sure on that, but we'll certainly get an answer for that.
19:09Okay, yes, and Sal let us know in the back end, he has used it on the app for the Scott Fishbowl.
19:15It's easy. So great stuff there, Sal. Also, Yoshi, just gloom, some new followers of coming our way.
19:20And then we also have Bang Bang Sports, 12 team, super flex, PPR, $200 auction.
19:24Do I keep JSN for $35 or Dak for 24?
19:27Lucas, it feels like that's a value for JSN at 35, but, you know, getting a quarterback like Dak Prescott who seemingly
19:33a top 12 guy every season at 24, not bad either.
19:36Do you have a preference one way or the other in the super flex for Bang Bang?
19:41Give me the elite asset in JSN. There's just too many other quarterbacks I like this year that are kind of in
19:47this like quarterback eight to go all the way down to 18 tier with Dak Prescott in my opinion.
19:52So I think you only get one JSN for $35.
19:55You could get a lot of other Dak Prescots for $24 in my opinion.
19:59So that's 100% my opinion. What's your position here on the onesie positions?
20:03Is Josh Allen a steep pick for round three is what Pac-Man Willie wants to know and I'll tell you what I
20:09have him right now my overall rankings down at player 28 overall.
20:12That being said, I have not drafted Josh Allen really once in that range because to me it's really hard to sacrifice
20:19an elite running back or an elite wide receiver to go quarterback when you just said it.
20:23A lot of great quarterbacks. I've been punting the position almost entirely in most drafts where I've just been grabbing Malik Willis and like a Jared Goff late.
20:31Do you have do you have a different approach?
20:34Have you been taking Josh Allen in drafts at all?
20:37There was a time where it seemed like half the third round was dealing with an injury in some capacity and I
20:43didn't like reaching into the fourth round for like the gold mine of wide receivers that exist there.
20:48So there was like a maybe five day stretch where I'm like you know what maybe Josh Allen actually is a good
20:54pick in round three because I get my elite asset I know he's going to produce versus anybody else right now I
21:00have no clue if they're going to be ready for week one.
21:04Now that the field has kind of sorted itself out a little bit yeah I've gone back to like I just can't
21:10help but look at Bo Nix quarterback 14 Jared Goff quarterback 16 Kyler Murray 17 I mean keep going down the list
21:16until you get to the Malik Willis's of the world right?
21:19That's way too tempting for me this year because frankly I just think we are better at drafting quarterbacks later than we
21:25are running backs or wide receivers later we just have a higher hit rate at doing so as a community so that's
21:31where it becomes hard for me of let me get a very good talented asset that we all draft well in round
21:38three compared to later I can get a quarterback that will probably outperform his ADP because we're just better at drafting him
21:44later it's just it's matter of fact at this point I mean last year was Drake May right?
21:49Like I felt like everybody was on Drake May yeah like I can't even take credit for because every single analyst it
21:55felt like every player out there was because he felt like the obvious pick this year it feels like it's Malik Willis

23:03can punt that Pac-Man Willie to the fourth let's get back some questions here ladies and gentlemen we got MF Blakely checking
23:09in what tier of wide receiver do you start to get concerned about with them being your wide receiver one Lucas if
23:15you start RBRB as a lot of people I feel like are at the end of drafts you're coming back into that
23:22range where I've always been of the mindset if I'm at 12 I'm probably going RBRB but then I want like Tedrow
23:28McMillan is kind of like the last guy I feel really comfortable with my wide receiver one and then I'm kind of
23:34shooting like the upside shot with players in a similar tier such as Emeka Buka and Garrett Wilson but Tedrow McMillan is
23:40really the last player I feel comfortable with what about yourself it's the difference between trying to talk to your friends over

24:54a good time and no one gets mad at their publicist for letting them do our show we've had a lot of
25:00great guests like Sarah Sherman not that great actually can you help me shape this how about we flip it on his
25:07head how about we flip the script what if the surprise woman who actually you think is the straight man is actually
25:13the one who's acting weird Adam Scott this entire time you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show I
25:19would never let go of that I have I would never set expectations for something like that to happen if the universe
25:25allows for something like that to happen I'm open to it I'm always going to accept you know Danny McBride fine yeah
25:31it's all this fragile masculinity exuding I could smell it walking down the hallway to be honest with you I was like
25:38is that weed nope it's fragile masculinity Ben Stiller no because a lot of times out of context people don't get it
25:44or even know what a circle is you know what I mean everyone's so dumb and fake right fake and also not
25:50interested or just like oh I've got my life I don't care about your life and a lot of other big shots
25:56that wouldn't be where they are without us oh and by the way Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show
26:02and he wants to be a guest on every episode but he's just so busy listen to Hollywood Handbook on the iHeartRadio
26:08app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts yeah that's that's the exact same for me it's not even though you
26:15talked about Garrett Wilson that upper tier I think that whole range of Chris Olave to Tedaroa McMill and I would put
26:21Chris Olave more towards like the Nico Collins range but yeah that wide receiver what 13 to 21 range whoever's at the
26:27end of that tier I'm like after that like I still feel a little bit like knots in my stomach that I
26:33have to digest them as my wide receiver one but thankfully like you said if you're like the 12th pick for instance
26:39it's not that unreasonable to think you can still get a T Higgins and a lot of McConkie and Mecca Buka and
26:46a Garrett Wilson right but if you only walk away with one of those guys that's where I start to get a
26:52little who boy okay we really got to start nailing our wide receiver picks and as the draft goes on it just
26:58like I mentioned earlier with the whole Josh Hound thing it just gets more difficult to do that as you get deeper
27:04into the like wide receiver 30 range and it seems like after Parker Washington nobody wants to draft that range right so
27:10that's why I'm like if I can get two of those guys I feel much better if I only get one Tette
27:17McMillan Garrett Wilson is kind of the bottoming out of that tier for me okay and W Collins saying dang he's thrown
27:23shade on D bro and he's not even here hey that's what you get over here at fantasy pros we take shots
27:29at each other because we're all friends at the end of the day so let's go ahead here to Kyle saying just
27:35traded Mahomes Christian Watson and a 2027 late second for Lamar Jackson so inverse of kind of what we just saw earlier
27:41where someone's acquiring Lamar Jackson in a PPR Superflex Dynasty 12 team though this time thoughts on that do you think that's
27:47fair late 2027 second Mahomes and Watson I think it's pricey but I don't hate it if you're going to win now
27:54this season yeah that's I think that's where I'm at is as well yeah pricey but if you are in a win
28:00now mode like go out and go out and get Lamar Jackson go out and get your guy who who is the
28:06consensus quarterback too so especially if you're not banking on Mahomes actually being fully healthy functional choose your word there after his
28:12injury if you don't think Christian Watson can actually stay healthy the entire season a late 2027 second it's a loaded class
28:18but at least it's a later second right you know there's ways in which you can compute this out and say yeah
28:25Lamar Jackson is a complete win here but yeah if you're win now mode 100% Zowder a little baby type question hey
28:31guys drafted chase this week now he's questionable should I drop him or do we think he'll be ready there for the
28:37start of the season yeah absolutely drop Jamar chase I think it's a great move for you that'll definitely win you your
28:43league absolutely cherry poppins og what's up guys fancy pro subscribing here thank you so much for that we really appreciate that
28:49cherry poppins og saying in the second round of a dynasty league where I took puka in the first where would you
28:55go for the second round running back cook Hampton and a chain or a chan are on the board what do you
29:02think I'm gonna guess this is not super flex since you went puka and you're not concerned about getting a quarterback here
29:08in the second round I don't hate the idea of cooker Hampton those are kind of the guys I have right up
29:14there next in my dynasty rankings a chan quickly behind them though what about you Lucas do you like this strategy and
29:20do you have a running back in particularly that maybe sticks out to you I personally could see Hampton being the preference
29:26over James cook here I like James cook significantly more than him significantly more I like James cook more than Hampton this
29:33season because I think this could be the year where we get it was like okay we know James cook is a
29:39pass catcher but can he handle the workload okay he can handle the workload okay can he keep up all the touchdown
29:45scoring well he might be able to so what if this year is like trifecta in which that all happens for James
29:51cook so in a vacuum for this season I think James cook is the better better asset but over the long term
29:57like we might have a little bit more runway here with the Maureen Hampton so I think you can make the case
30:03either way if you want to just push the chips in now go hard this year I think James cook is your
30:10answer but Hampton's not gonna be too far behind and like I said we get a little bit more runway with him
30:16if you want to tie the break the tie there yeah I hope the rest of the chargers offensive line can stay
30:22healthy they already lost center Tyler B Odish to a torn ACL and he had some like additional left knee damage so
30:28he's definitely done for this year well and like I don't want to say Tyler B Odish was he's not like a
30:34game wrecking center right he's not a Jason Kelsey type of level center but he is I would say a league average
30:41type of center so to lose him definitely hurts a little bit but I agree long term if you're looking for that
30:47runway Hampton would probably be my pick there as well here's Rubik's checking in saying knowing Jonathan Taylor's injury history would you
30:53take James cook over him in a 10 man standard league I think standard makes it interesting because James cook definitely gets
30:59some of his value a little more than JT I feel like from the receiving game but that being said like I
31:05do have JT a bit buried in my rankings just because I'm a little concerned overall about the Colts and what's going
31:12to happen here you know you got Daniel Jones coming off the injury Alec Pierce not 100% healthy we'll see what Keenan
31:18Allen still has left in the tank so I would take James cook pretty convincingly over JT in really any format what
31:24about yourself Wenzel yeah and I think the you named an important part of it here and in terms of of Rube
31:30knowing Jonathan Taylor's injury history if that is a concern for you and you just have more confidence you'll sleep better at
31:36night taking James cook there I I'm very okay with that because similar to you Seth like I've had my questions about
31:42JT since since the full offseason has kicked off here so I personally have more confidence in James cook this year JT
31:49could absolutely still smash everyone's projections this year I don't want to like remove that from the table but there's more question
31:55marks around the Colts offense and if you're really questioning okay do I want to trust JT's injury history well if you're
32:01gonna sleep better at night take take James cook because I wouldn't laugh at you for that nobody else would laugh at
32:07you for that and I think that's a perfectly reasonable take too yeah and uh Drizzy following up he said he has
32:13been offered Mahomes and a 27 first for Lamar would you take that Lucas because like I feel like that's again telling
32:20me like you're definitely probably not competing for this year but at the same time with 27 first and Mahomes two years
32:26from now that could look really really good not knowing Drizzy can you let us know if that guy is you know
32:32a competitor and he's probably in the back half of your league or not but that would help a little bit not
32:38knowing that though Lucas do you have a lean part of me says take Lamar because you are a take take Mahomes
32:44in the first because again like you said in two years I could look great if Mahomes returns to you know being
32:50a top five quarterback from a fantasy perspective I know there's plenty we don't want to forecast too far into the future
32:57we only know so much but part of me doesn't mind it uh part of me doesn't mind that at all I
33:03would love it if you get like a tiny little bit more of a sweetener something that that might make it a
33:09little bit more enticing to move off of Lamar because it is a risk you're taking with Mahomes but to have that
33:15as your base for Lamar I think is a great place to start your negotiations yeah see what else you can get
33:21there you know keep digging but I think I think this is a great base of a trade and if you want
33:28Lamar off your roster and you're looking to acquire 2027 first I think this is a good way to go about it
33:34where the cupboard is certainly not left bare there for you Carlos asking here a great question draft strategy for a chopped
33:40leagues really Lucas when I'm looking for these guillotine these chop these elimination style leagues one I'm not inviting week one injury
33:46on my team like I am fading players who could not be out there for week one you know ashen genti Jeremiah
33:52love see you sorry you're off my draft board those types of players I'm eliminating I'm also looking for teams with a
33:58really good run outs to the start of the season I love the start for the Chargers I think they're going to
34:05come out a blazing the Detroit Lions have a really good setup to start off their season as well any other different
34:11draft strategies come to mind for chop league for Carlos something that I have experimented with is people keep talking about how
34:17the zero running back strategy is dead like nobody's doing it anymore this year I've tried implementing that in chop leagues the
34:23last few years that surprisingly worked out really well for me and part of it is part of it is you have
34:29to pick your spots and know which which points in your draft are worth selecting running backs but I've seen people who
34:36start off running back running back with their first two picks and then like we're talking like they're looking at who's going
34:42in like that wide receiver 30 range right now that nobody wants to like Jaden Reed is their wide receiver one then
34:48I'm like I just don't know if you can survive that through the through three weeks maybe you can get lucky by
34:54picking someone up off of a chop team eventually but I've had luck when I when I start pretty heavy with the
35:00wide receiver and tight end department knowing I just get my advantages there it's almost like short sorting your short suiting yourself
35:06excuse me out of position with the intention of loading up everywhere else I'm not as concerned about getting a balanced team
35:13I'm worried about getting the team that's going to score the most points on a given week I found more success doing
35:19that through wide receivers but again that might just be how I've drafted my luck over the last few years but something
35:25I've experimented with and found success in I don't hate that idea especially if you target those zero RB targets really specifically
35:31like again Tyler Algier go get him because he might start week one right Mike Washington jr.
35:36Might be a starting week one Marshawn Lloyd these are kind of the running backs I think I'd be targeting late for
35:42you players you don't really have to sit and watch them develop quite as much Carlos so yeah I like that play
35:48a lot Lucas because you are more likely to get you know a stud running back off the waiver wire than if
35:55someone's been cut early who went RB heavy with that you know RB approach there in the early round so love that
36:01here's another question coming from Aniko asking hey Jen's great show thank you so much for that we appreciate that PPR keeper
36:07up to six up to six league six point passing I have the first two picks and then pick five and eight
36:13as well rebuilding a Buka Tyler Warren may Josh Jacobs T Higgins Waddle Swift and Hendo all available who to target I
36:19am thinking may a Buka Warren for youth and upside what are your thoughts here so this is interesting it feels like
36:25any an eco let us know if we're wrong on this but I'm guessing like it doesn't matter what round you've picked
36:32them you can just keep them for whatever so if that's the case I think you're right on track with a Buka
36:38Tyler Warren and may those would be my top three but I don't hate keeping someone like Jalen Waddle either if I
36:44don't have to pay like a you know a difference in price tag him and T Higgins and Josh Jacobs they're all
36:50top 40 players for me yeah Jalen Waddle is the one name that I would consider throwing in there but that is
36:56in my opinion how concerned are you about the Buka toe spring going into the season does that play into your decision
37:03making at all for me I still have a Buka ahead of Waddle but I mean we're talking about the same same
37:09range of wide receiver here same upside potential so excuse me yeah I think those are the ones that I would lean
37:15with a Buka in there but again if you have questions about a Buka's toe injury like I'm I would not laugh
37:21at you for keeping Waddle instead because I love Jalen Waddle just as much this year okay fair enough here we got
37:27one coming in from Takula asking kept Kraft in flex or keep Kraft in flex or trade for DJ more if I
37:34have stripling pickings digs need three wide receivers I mean if oh yeah I don't hate the idea of going to get
37:40DJ more if those are your three wide receivers and you have to start three of them I am a little sketchy
37:46on that what about you Seb yeah what about you Lucas for Seb that's exactly where I'm at too and again I
37:52don't want to act like Johnny Smith signing is like tanking Tucker Kraft's value to any extent so that's a silly thing
37:58to have but now with with developments of Johnny Smith he's a competent tight end who could take snaps away from Tucker
38:04Kraft is at least early on in the season if they want him to have more of a ramp up period yeah
38:11I I don't mind trading Tucker Kraft getting a guy like DJ more especially yeah if it's stripling digs and pickings are
38:17your three wide receivers I'd like a little bit more firepower in that wide receiver room I have more confidence in streaming
38:23tight ends than streaming a fourth wide receiver to pair with them yeah and it looks like Kraft was interested in his
38:29flex and he might even have a better tight end than him you know one of the top four or five guys
38:35so yeah don't hate that approach at all kind of a follow-up here on a Buka it's he a risky pick at
38:42ADP Ziggs asking because I mean he certainly could be he came out blazing hot last year he got the injury Baker
38:48got banged up and those things could unfold again especially with him already dealing with an injury I will say Todd Bowles
38:54is always a bit hyperbolic with what he says about players injuries he said that about Bucky he might be back sometime
39:00this summer sometime this fall yeah go go check out the episode we did on the fantasy pros YouTube channel after this show Zyg and hear what Dr.
39:08Deepak Chona and Boggs had to say I thought it was a really good discussion but I do think a Buka is
39:14risky but like it's one of those like do you risk it for the biscuit right because I do think a Buka
39:20in that range has wide receiver one upside yeah a hundred percent I mean you have to consider that he had the
39:27third widest gap of expected fantasy points versus actual fantasy points last year you have to assume the execution is going to
39:33be there this year when you ship Mike Evans off to San Francisco as well so yeah risky you have to bake
39:39that in I also think that's being baked in at cost where he's currently going closer to wide receiver 20 than he
39:45is wide receiver 10 right now where at one point he was being steamed up to that wide receiver 14 15 range
39:51so I think it's being baked in I'm willing to risk it for the biscuit because the upside is just simply too
39:57massive I think it's about Baker Mayfield pissed off playing for a contract too oh yeah that's an explosion waiting to happen
40:04it feels like it feels like it's either gonna go one or two ways for Tampa Bay and their fancy assets this
40:10season it's either going all the way right or all the way wrong so I'm gonna mess around and find out about
40:16it for sure though and this might be the hardest question of the night here from Pat fan 11 776 golf from
40:22Malik wills PPR superflex 10 team this is super tough like in a 10 team I am kind of more implored to
40:28go wills because I think he has the lead upside that being said though Jared Goff one of my favorite quarterback sleepers
40:35this season as well I think I have both these guys one and two in my sleeper rankings this year so what
40:41do you think here Lucas do you have a difference in opinion I have Jared Goff ranked higher but I do think
40:47Malik wills has the higher upside because of what he can do with his legs so my tiebreaker here would be do
40:53I have Jameson Williams Sam Laporta or Amon Ross St.
40:56Brown in my roster if I don't I'm probably gonna lean Willis but if I can stack one of those two then
41:02I might give the lean to Jared Goff just to yeah again recognizing this is not a best ball league just a
41:08PPR super flex 10 team but you know the edge matters I think in that case that's what would break the tie
41:14for me but flat out if you have none of those lines players then I think I'm good just going Malik wills
41:21there chasing the upside yeah and I think it would also matter like who is your quarterback one is it someone super
41:27safe like a Josh Allen or is it a bit riskier like a Jackson Dart that could go one in two ways
41:33or you know kind of in that similar ball camp can Caleb Williams Trevor Lawrence these guys who were breakouts last year
41:39continue that momentum so those I think would be the questions I would have there we're gonna get some more of your
41:45questions by the way but before we do a reminder that you can join our fantasy pros discord community we're always having
41:52a blast over there where you can chat with other fans actually get access to exclusive AMAs that wind up on our
41:58podcast feed our current schedule looks like this we got worm and fits at five eastern on the first Tuesday of every

42:10be a good time there bogs and fits at five eastern on the third Tuesday of every month and then Welsh and
42:16Ericsson to eastern every single Thursday for out of bounds make sure you're checking them out fancy pros dot com slash chat
42:22come get your questions answered and be on the show again that's fancy pros dot com slash chat all right we're getting
42:29some more questions here few me with the next one I already have chase in a top running back in pick two
42:35should I go McBride or Josh Allen in round three I I mean it's it's tough to know without like saying if
42:41this is a 12 team league let's just assume Lucas and few me you can let us know in the chat if
42:47it's maybe not a 12 team league but I am like more inclined to go tight end early if I'm going to
42:53the third round I feel better about Brock Bowers personally but either way I'm going tight end early before quarterback early yourself
43:00though yeah I'm leaning McBride and I also have the temptation to say who else is on the board not because I'm
43:06like way out on Trey McBride but again we go back to this draft philosophy where I just think we're better at
43:12picking out quarterbacks later and there's a very good chance you can find a productive tight end on the waiver wire eventually
43:18as well Jawan Johnson was one of those guys last year right it's an eight person league so you know in that
43:24case maybe you get Trey McBride to like solidify your your authority there agreed so I would I would lean those one
43:30of those leave one of those I would lean McBride over Josh Allen of those two yeah you know I've talked a
43:37lot about this with Derek over the years and like as the league gets smaller I'm more inclined to take an elite
43:43onesie position because I can I still don't want to fall behind at wide receiver and I think it's still like hey
43:49let's make sure we're competing in that arms race at wide receiver and running back and I think if you're gonna go
43:55with Trey McBride here in the third round of an eight-team league like then I'm just coming back and pounding wide receiver
44:01and running back for like five straight six straight rounds I'll figure out quarterback later I don't think you get I would
44:08want to double dip but as the league expands like when you're in a 16 team league I feel less inclined to
44:14go after those I know quarterbacks do become a little bit more valuable but still I think having those position edges matter
44:20so much in these smaller types of formats yep here's one from kibbles oh hey guys love the show thank you so
44:26much for that cables we appreciate your support if I smash one running back in the first two or three rounds would
44:32you get a handcuff say Kate up three Kyron or whoever or is Corum any standalone value I do think Blake Cormat
44:39standalone value Lucas I think with the potential for just being more ahead in games and really having to make their season
44:45count at the end of it I think Corum does have like RB three standalone value that being said I am going
44:51after like I think Kenneth Walker is a clear handcuff I think B John has a clear handcuff aside from that though
44:57and obviously Gibbs I guess if you want Pacheco too but those are I do like the idea of going and getting
45:03those handcuffs but it just kind of depends on the backs because there are some teams are just going to go to
45:09a committee and they can't really replace like an Marion Hampton do you want Keaton Mitchell do you want Vidal I'm not
45:16sure yeah I'm with you on that and I also kind of care where these handcuffs go in drafts too because Kyron's
45:22a guy where I'm not going to handcuff play Corum why again I think there's standalone value there and I also think
45:28then you're just having two backs competing in the same backfield that are both getting playing time Corum becomes a great option
45:34if Kyron gets injured but like let's take Christian McCaffrey as an example right Kalen Black and Jordan James are going like
45:40in the 15th round or later of your fantasy yes like though those are free at the end of your draft so
45:47I also kind of care where I have to draft these players to and what capital I'm sacrificing at the cost of
45:53that and as much as I love Blake Corum this year I'm 100% with you I think he has great standalone value
45:59you know for a guy like Kyron I'm not looking to handcuff him outright because of the cost of capital as well
46:05so that's the other thing that I would consider here sure yeah it's a great point if you're spending you know a
46:11third round pick on Kyron Williams and then you have to come back in the you know seventh eighth round and get
46:17Blake Corum it becomes a little bit more pricey I do like the security you're gonna sleep well and I know that
46:24you have the Rams backfield locked up especially after the trade earlier today but yeah I don't hate that approach Kibbles you
46:30know it just kind of depends on the running back right and who if there is a clear number two in that
46:36offense and speaking on that kind of note it's okay to laugh great reminder there from our friend here on Twitch saying
46:42do I trade Mike Washington to gente owner or stash if trade give me some realistic targets please wider survey preferred so
46:48I don't hate the idea of this however I also don't hate making that cost go up over the next two weeks
46:55seeing what happens if gente's not out there in week one I think you're gonna get more of a return in Mike
47:01Washington jr that said Lucas do you like this approach and if so are there receiver targets you might be going after
47:07for a Mike Washington return so my question is I always get concerned with this strategy of I want to deal Mike
47:13Washington to the gente manager well the gente manager needs to agree on a price with you first and you're probably gonna
47:19want to charge him and they're not gonna be willing to pay the up charge price most likely so there's another part
47:25of me too then that's like actually the best ammunition you have is having somebody else's handcuff because as soon as they're
47:32running back goes down Mike Washington skyrockets right so I actually think I side with you here of I don't know if
47:38I'm ready to like do that yet mostly because I don't think I'm going to get the return I would actually want
47:44for the perceived value that Mike Washington jr has so yeah I'm gonna hold on to him and I just think that's
47:50still the best ammunition you have is that you have somebody else's handcuffs so when they really need them oh boy they're
47:56gonna come begging and pleading when they do actually need him that's when you can really hike up the price or you
48:03just have a top 25 running back at your disposal to head to and that's a great asset to have yeah and
48:09it would depend what this team has a couple of names that I thought might be interesting like if I can get
48:15in this conversation of players that we're kind of going at the back half of the first round early second round in
48:21rookie drafts if they have you know someone even out there like an Omar Cooper jr who hasn't had the best preseason
48:27who's kind of falling down Eli Stowers had a really bad preseason in training camp it sounds like to the John's tripling
48:34kind of the opposite way where he's been rising up into that conversation those would kind of be the players that I
48:40would be looking to grab if Jonah Coleman's out there right and I can trade a Mike Washington to a Jonah Coleman
48:46like that would be something so just more of those other rookies I think but also like I think at the same
48:52time don't be afraid if someone's willing to give up a 2027 second those are gonna be worth more than you know
48:58the 2026 second you probably spent on Mike Washington yeah especially if you're in a dynasty league you can get really creative
49:04with that one yes yes absolutely here is a one from card bucks fan saying super flex keeper Caleb Williams for a
49:11fifth or a Mecca a Buka for a ninth always this is tough man because Caleb Williams isn't a fifth I think
49:17if there's a lot of other quarterbacks I would just have to bite the ball like if half the quarterback board is
49:23gone I think I would bite the bullet and go with Caleb Williams here but I do think a Mecca a Buka
49:29might be a little bit more of a value but that said it's just going to depend what the overall league does
49:35for me what about you Luke that's exactly where I'm at because to the eye I say oh yeah Mecca a Buka
49:42for a ninth but when you consider super flex okay if people are really white knuckling their quarterbacks here and don't want
49:48to let them go yeah at some point you just have to bite the bullet and say it's worth keeping Caleb Williams
49:54to keep to stay competitive in that department with my lead mates and not fall behind there either so yeah I think
50:00I side with you not knowing how the quarterbacks are exactly available in this league okay all right well good stuff there
50:06guys thank you so much for all the questions today we really appreciate you chiming in it's been a great last 45
50:12or so minutes we had a fantastic time last night on the fancy pros fancy fest with you as well as everything
50:19else we've had going on with the content we'll get one more in here we got a couple more minutes so if
50:25you guys have any final questions put them in here henions though asking hey fancy pros just curious if there are any
50:31first or second round running backs who have secure handcuffs so similar conversation let's just go down the list B.
50:37John Robinson I mean Brian Robinson can we say that with with you know certainty just make sure you draft the right
50:43one right away yes yep yeah Jimmy your Gibbs Isaiah Pacheco yep hands down Christian McCaffrey would say would not no he
50:49doesn't have a clear one I have a preference of Jordan James but again he's been injured all preseason so not a
50:55clear one what about James Cook because it always feels like Ray Davis will get the early down work but Ty Johnson
51:01definitely going to be involved there too yeah I always I have a soft spot for Ray Davis because I do think
51:08he's probably the first man up but you can't count Ty Johnson as well who's I mean in that case he's gonna
51:14be the one catching passes probably not Ray Davis Saquon Barkley I would say oh Marion definitely not you can kind of
51:20pick between Vidal and Keaton Mitchell Saquon I think you gotta go after the tank right yeah I'm really positive I've got
51:26a lot of clicks in him in best ball draft so yes I yes tank Bixby yeah yeah and then let's see
51:32Chase Brown he Ryan's probably up next but I wouldn't say it's a clear handcuff no H and like Ollie Gordon's probably
51:38but I don't even I can't even say that because we saw right just begin some steam yeah so JT I think
51:45it's Seth McGowan is what we're kind of hearing at camp and then I would say Kenneth Walker it's probably it's probably
51:51the rookie coming out of Nebraska there so Emmett Johnson Ashton Gentry's gonna have Mike Washington jr.
51:56Derek Henry I don't think there's a clear one there either no because they're not gonna roll out Justice Hill as they're
52:02in between the tackles guy yeah he'll play this he'll probably catch a handful of more passes play a few more downs
52:08but no he is not a direct handcuff to Derek Henry and that's even Adam Randall's kind of like right right he's
52:14a converted wide receiver to running backs right no clear one there Marshawn Lloyd like I'd say that's that's where we'll kind
52:20of end it here but Marshawn Lloyd for Josh Jacobs he's more of a third round type of player at this point
52:27even falling down boards a little bit further but yeah yeah I think that would be your handcuff there TCB we did
52:33get to your question we don't hate the idea of taking Loveland or maybe we did miss this I don't know Loveland
52:39and Warren and it's it is an auction draft so yeah maybe maybe I just read this in my head and never
52:45said it out loud so apologies there TCB but I don't hate the idea of it but I don't want to overpay
52:51for both those tight ends and be left with like scraps at wide receivers because I think you need to compete there
52:57too but you will put your league mates in an interesting spot where you know if they know they need a tight
53:04end this season you're the first one they're calling yeah I part of me loves bully tight end but the other part
53:10of me is man you just get too hung and dry at the more important positions of wide receiver and running back
53:16and I mean those two are the they're gonna cost a penny for both of them so yeah you might be getting
53:22scraps at the other positions unfortunately and you know no one wants to be caught holding a Zemir white bag as there
53:28are B2 right so that that's the part that always scares me when you go aggressive strategies like that in auction it's
53:35the worst kind of bag to have there no it really is it really is I don't speak from experience yes absolutely
