A.J. Brown

PositiveProjection0:22

With Shawn Manion replacing Kevin Patulo as Eagles offensive coordinator, AJ Brown should see improved production as even minimal competence from the new coordinator would be an upgrade.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:22

AJ Brown underperformed last season due to Kevin Patulo's terrible offensive playcalling, despite being a superstar on the Eagles offense.

Insight page

Amari Cooper

PositiveBreakout0:14

Cooper is the Browns' best wide receiver at getting open and could have a breakout season under Todd Monkin's offense, which pushes the ball deep downfield at a higher rate.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:15

Cooper becomes a great last wide receiver in redraft leagues and has strong value in best ball formats, likely to ramp up and peak later in the season.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveRole0:02

Bowers will operate as the Raiders' number one wide receiver in Clint Kubiak's heavy two tight end sets, giving him JSN-level upside at tight end with potential first-round value despite being drafted in the second round.

Insight page

Cam Ward

PositiveProjection0:17

Brian Dball's hiring as offensive coordinator is a significant positive signal for Cam Ward's development, as Dball has a proven track record developing young quarterbacks like Josh Allen and Jackson Dart who weren't locked-in prospects but succeeded under his system.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:20

In standard redraft leagues (10-12 teams), Cam Ward should not be drafted as even a bench option due to the availability of locked-in quarterbacks, though he may be worth monitoring on free agency if he breaks out.

Insight page
NegativeRole0:20

In a standard 10-12 team reddraft league, you don't need to draft Cam Ward even as a bench option; monitor him on free agency instead.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:20

Cam Ward was a bottom three quarterback in pretty much every metric last season, but if Brian Dball can make him even bottom 10 (slightly below league average), that will be a very big upgrade for the offense.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveRole0:19

Carnell Tate is the clear-cut best wide receiver on the Titans offense, and Brian Dball's willingness to force-feed his top targets means Tate has significant upside to shatter his ADP if Cam Ward develops under Dball's system.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue0:11

The analyst currently prefers Chase Brown over Marvin Harrison Jr. in the second round, suggesting better value at that ADP.

Insight page

Dallas Goedert

PositiveProjection0:22

With Shawn Manion replacing Kevin Patulo as Eagles offensive coordinator, Dallas Goedert should see improved production as even minimal competence from the new coordinator would be an upgrade.

Insight page

David Njoku

PositiveValue0:16

Njoku is fine as a tight end option, but the analyst is not in love with him this season as he's not getting any discount and there are other tight ends with higher ceilings or similar floors going around him.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

NegativeProjection0:12

Watson is likely to start the season for the Browns but is expected to play mediocre, representing a significant downgrade from previous Ravens quarterbacks under Todd Monken.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveProjection0:22

With Shawn Manion replacing Kevin Patulo as Eagles offensive coordinator, DeVonta Smith should see improved production as even minimal competence from the new coordinator would be an upgrade.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:22

DeVonta Smith underperformed last season due to Kevin Patulo's terrible offensive playcalling, despite being a superstar on the Eagles offense.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:26

Could literally finish with a top five target share this season with very reasonable price tag and very high-end upside if the Eagles offense can be league average.

Insight page

Gabe Nabers

PositiveRole0:04

The Seahawks' new coaching staff and heavy offensive sets benefit the running game, and with Bowowers returning healthy, the offense becomes more efficient, which is a positive for Nabers' fantasy outlook.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection0:26

Could still always run for 15 touchdowns with very reasonable price tag and very high-end upside if the Eagles offense can be league average.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

PositiveRole0:05

McMillan and Naylor are more underdog/best ball picks in heavy sets, but in a traditional 12-team reddraft league with six bench spots, they're not worth drafting as they won't produce enough.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveProjection0:08

Herbert is an elite quarterback without concussion concerns like Tua, and with a now-healthy offensive line and plethora of skilled players, he can fully utilize Mike McDaniel's creative offensive scheme.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:08

Herbert is an elite quarterback who will benefit from a now-healthy Chargers offensive line and Mike McDaniel's system, which historically produces high yards per attempt. The analyst projects Herbert will likely set a career-high in yards per pass attempt this season.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveValue0:10

Mitchell is the analyst's top value pick from the Chargers offense, going in round 13 with strong potential value at that late ADP.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveValue0:10

McConkey is an exceptional pick in round four despite the round being stacked with talent, offering great value in the Chargers' high-upside offense.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveProjection0:12

Jackson is referenced as a significantly better quarterback than Deshaun Watson or Shadur, highlighting the downgrade the Browns face at the position under Todd Monken.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveValue0:11

The analyst prefers Harrison in the mid-second round rather than the early second round where he goes on some platforms, viewing his early-round ADP as slightly premature.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

PositiveValue0:03

Mayer is one of the best round 18 picks available on Underdog, as he will see significantly more playing time than expected in the Raiders' two tight end sets before the public catches on in August.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

PositiveProjection0:05

The Chargers' coaching change to Mike McDaniel and a healthier offensive line represent a huge upgrade from last season, with McDaniel's creative play-calling and motion-heavy schemes making the offense far more explosive and efficient.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

PositiveProjection0:22

With Shawn Manion replacing Kevin Patulo as Eagles offensive coordinator, Saquon Barkley should see improved production as even minimal competence from the new coordinator would be an upgrade.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:22

Saquon Barkley underperformed last season due to Kevin Patulo's terrible offensive playcalling, despite being a superstar on the Eagles offense.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:25

Should have a really nice bounceback season if the Eagles offense gets back on track, as he failed last season because of the offensive environment and not because he's cooked.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:25

Still unbelievably athletic and very talented; his prime is going to extend much further than most players' primes.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:26

A phenomenal pick to make at the one-two turn in drafts, as people who draft him at that spot are probably going to make the playoffs at a pretty high rate.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup0:53

Very likely to have a high playoff rate over expectation due to the Eagles' easy schedule weeks 1-14, though he'll face tough matchups in the playoffs.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

PositiveRole0:19

Tony Pollard is the clear-cut best early-down running back on the Titans offense, and Brian Dball's tendency to force-feed his top targets means Pollard has significant upside to shatter his ADP if Cam Ward develops.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:21

Tony Pollard is getting drafted at a pretty strong discount right now, and with the offense likely to improve and stay on the field more, he had stretches last season where he was really good and is a great pick to make.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveValue0:11

Harris is recommended as a best ball pick in round 17, though less suitable for classic 15-round redraft leagues, given the Chargers offense's upside potential.

Insight page

Tyjae Spears

PositiveRole0:20

Tyjae Spears is a fine later-round pick due to contingent upside from his potential receiving game role in the Titans offense, though he will mix in behind Tony Pollard.

Insight page

Zamir White

PositiveRole0:04

White benefits from the coaching upgrade with Clint Kubiak, as the heavy two tight end sets will theoretically improve the running game over time, and he's getting Brock Bowers back healthy to reduce defensive focus.

0:00What's going on, guys? It's Nick here back with another video. Today, we're doing a heavily requested video going over the most important coaching changes
0:06in the NFL this off seasonason and how those changes will impact players in fantasy. Going to talk about the five most important changes in today's video.
0:14Starting off with the most important first. I think it's really close between number one and number two on this list, but we're going to give the top spot to
0:22the Raiders. Clint Kubak is now their head coach. Of course, formerly the offensive coordinator for the Super Bowl champion Seahawks last season. You also
0:31might remember that back in 2024, Kubak was the offensive coordinator for the Saints. Remember weeks one and two of that season, out of absolutely nowhere,
0:42they dropped like over 40 points in back-to-back weeks, and we're like, what is happening over in New Orleans?
0:49Unfortunately, their entire offense got injured after that, so they weren't able to keep up the magic. Uh, but yeah, I mean, this is going to be an upgrade,
0:58right? It's pretty obvious that back-to-back years of massive success for Clint Kubak, changing from a 74year-old Pete Carroll. Difficult to
1:09overstate how big of an upgrade that is going to be. And the biggest change is also going to come in more heavy sets.
1:16Um, I know that's like all the rages off season. We could say just the NFL will be running more heavy sets this season.
1:22Teams were scrambling. Like if you were just like watching the draft and you're like why is every team drafting like 50
1:28tight ends this season? It's because more teams right now or you know most teams want to be running more two tight
1:33end sets needed to fill in more tight ends on the roster. Uh but Kubak offenses in particular have been top three in two tight end sets each of the
1:42last two seasons. Uh and the Raiders have the personnel to do it. So, there's going to be a lot of teams this season
1:48that think they can do it. They go out there, they run all these two tight end sets, the offense is terrible, and
1:53they're like, "Maybe, maybe, uh, we shouldn't all just do this if we don't have the personnel to complete it." Uh, that's not the Raiders. Like, this team
2:01is built to be able to run in heavy sets. It also makes sense from a personnel standpoint. So, you really want to trot three wide receivers out
2:08there when I would say none of your wide receivers are good. Maybe Tucker's okay, maybe Naylor's okay, but they do not
2:14have a long list of good wide receivers makes a lot of sense. If even just like getting your best players onto the
2:19field, that probably means going out there and putting Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer onto the field. U Mayer formerly a second round pick, an early
2:29second round pick, plus plus athleticism. Um really strong as a pass catcher. Again, compare that to the wide receiver room, Tucker, Naylor, Beck, um
2:38Dante Thornton. It's pretty easy to project another top three season in terms of two tight end sets for uh a Clint Kubak offense for the Raiders this
2:48season. So obviously that's very good news for Brock Bowers. Um he's basically just going to operate as their number one wide receiver. He has JSN level
2:57upside but at tight end. And if he has a season like that, you're not going to care that you only spend a second round
3:03pick on him. He's going to return first round value. Uh but it's also great for Mayor. uh he's probably the best round
3:0918 pick you can make on underdog right now especially if you draft someone like Coloulston Lovelin and you maybe don't want to go with a three tight end build
3:18and you don't want to heavily invest in that second tight end and you really want to just say I'm taking Lovelin and
3:24four and then I really want to wait until the very end of my draft is always there in round 18 so you're not spending
3:32that much draft capital and he is going to be on the field way more than people are expecting So, if you want to take
3:37advantage of that before the public catches on, because I really think that come August, people are going to like be writing articles about it. They're going
3:44to be seeing it in the preseason, seeing it in camps, being like, "Oh, wait.
3:48They're only going to run two wide receivers on the field most of the time." And Mer's a pretty good pass catcher. He actually has some value
3:54later on. So, if you want to get kind of ahead of the field there, start drafting right now on Underdog. Uh, you can sign
3:59up for your first account today. Promo code FFA. Do that. Join at least one draft. I'll give you access to my
4:04rankings for free this season. Pretty darn good deal for just doing some drafts over there, having some fun. You also get uh my rankings this season. But
4:12anyway, um Mayor, great pick on underdog. Bowowers great pick in the middle of the second round. It's a great thing for Genty, too. I will note
4:22Seattle wasn't like prolific at running the ball last season. You look at their efficiency, looking at their EPA, like much better running the ball or uh
4:31passing the ball, excuse me. Um, but theoretically, like if we look at the difference this season compared to last season, it's a huge upgrade for Genty.
4:42Not only the coaching, right? Again, having more of these heavy sets does benefit over time uh the running game.
4:50Obviously, again, Seattle was an amazing running the ball last season, but they may have been even worse had they not gone so heavy. Uh, but also, you're just
4:57getting Bowowers back healthy, right?
4:59Last season, they had nothing. So, not only can defense is key in on stopping Genty, but if the offense can't get
5:05going, it's a bunch of three and outs, they're not scoring many points, that's bad for the running back, even if they're getting a lot of touches. So,
5:11you get Bowowers back, you improve the play calling, you make him more efficient on offense. All these things are just a positive for Ashen Genty. And
5:18then, aside from them, I mean, if you wanted to, I think they're more underdog picks, more best ball picks for Tucker
5:24and Naylor. In a classic like 12 team league where you have like six bench spots, you're looking at maybe like 15
5:30rounds. You don't need to be drafting Tucker or Naylor, it does theoretically benefit them that they're in more heavy sets just because it is typically easier
5:39to command targets against a backup tight end or a fullback which they'll use at times. Uh but again, like this is
5:44not this is the Bowowers, Mayor and Genty offense. Tucker and Naylor are going to have their moments, but in a reddraft league, they're just not going
5:53to do it enough for you to care. Uh, number two coaching change is Mike McDaniel replacing Greg Roman as the Chargers offensive coordinator. Uh, and
6:03I'm just going to add in here that the offensive line should be much healthier.
6:06I know this is a coaching change video, but in terms of just like, you know, combination of difference from last season to this season, when you start
6:15with the coaching change and you end with a healthy offensive line, you know, the hope is that the Chargers look completely different. They just look far
6:25more explosive and just look like a much more complete offense than when you had um not bad like Greg Roman's not like a
6:33bad offensive coordinator. It's just that Mike McDaniel is going to be more creative. He's going to run more play action, more motion. There's going to be
6:40more explosive plays. The run game's going to be more efficient. Like everything's just going to be better.
6:45And then you add on the offensive line and it's a great combination. Um I know the Dolphins fell apart the last few
6:50seasons and so some people are out on Mike McDaniel. I don't believe that was because of McDaniel. Um the big thing is
6:57too, I mean Tua missed a big chunk of 2024 with the concussions whenever any offense in the NFL. um suffers, you
7:05know, an injury or concussion or something like that to their starting quarterback and they miss miss a chunk of time, the offense is going to be
7:11worse. No one's sitting there with two quality starting quarterbacks. I know sometimes teams say that, you know, like the Browns going to go out there and be
7:17like, "Yeah, we got two starting quarterbacks in Shadur and Watson."
7:20Usually that means you have zero starting quarterbacks. Uh so whenever you're having, you know, Tyler Huntley and Skyler Thompson for half of a
7:27season, you're not going to look that good. Then last year, uh Tua missed some time. again it wasn't as much but also
7:33the offensive line fell apart Tyreek got hurt and so you know McDaniel hasn't been working with a whole lot the last
7:40few seasons um and I think another big issue is even when healthy you have this kind of concussion history in the back
7:48of your mind with Tua you know that every single hit he takes is extremely dangerous to your offense because any miss time and you're just like out of
7:57the playoffs like literally he knew if Tua misses time with concussion, we're not going to make the playoffs. And so we have to design our entire offense
8:06around trying to limit the amount of times he is hit. And basically that means um they're going to run an offensive scheme centered around quick
8:15passing, the occasional deep shot, but then if that deep shot is not clearly there in the first like two seconds, dump it off to Achan. And that is the
8:23offense over and over and over again.
8:25and it just doesn't allow Mike McDaniel to really open up the playbook, really be creative because you're so worried about Tua getting hit. That's not going
8:35to be an issue for the Chargers. Of course, you'll want to keep Justin Herbert healthy, but if they get their offensive line healthy, you've got an
8:43elite quarterback, like even if you didn't have the injury concern with Tua, like Herbert's there's a better quarterback than Tua, but you have an
8:48elite quarterback who doesn't have these concerns with a concussion, a now healthy offensive line, a a plethora of skilled players. I mean, they have skill
8:55players up and down the board at all positions. Running back, wide receiver, and tight end are all pretty stacked. I mean, they're not like the best in the
9:02league at any one of them, but they're clearly above average at all of them.
9:07And so, that's going to open up the playbook for him. Um, I just think, you know, the people as a baseline are kind
9:14of underrating the Chargers offense because of what happened last season, uh, with their, you know, entire offensive line getting injured. They
9:20they could do nothing. I mean, as soon as Herbert dropped back, he was being pressured. And so, they had to get the
9:25ball out way faster than they wanted to.
9:28So, if people are underrating how good the Chargers offense is while also underrating how good Mike McDaniel is. I mean, guys, if this offense can stay
9:37healthy, we could be talking about multiple league winners here. Um, only negative I hear people talk about is that McDaniel offenses are slow. They
9:46absolutely are, and they're runheavy.
9:48I'm just not too worried about that because Greg Roman offenses were also run heavy. So, that's not really going to change too much. Uh, and it's fine to
9:55play slower if you're maintaining drives and you're creating explosive plays and you are scoring a bunch more touchdowns, right? I'm cool if they average one or
10:03two fewer plays per game. If they're scoring a lot more, right, the touchdowns are worth way more than that one play is worth. And the efficiency,
10:12if that's going to go way up, cuz yards per attempt wise, Mike McDaniel quarterbacks absolutely crush it. And like Herbert's probably going to set a
10:19career record this season, uh, a careerhigh in yards per pass attempt, and that's going to flow to everyone else. So, there's going to be more
10:26yardage, more touchdowns. I don't really care too much if they're averaging one fewer play per game. Uh, in terms of my
10:33like interest level in their players given their current ADP. I do think it's Katon Mitchell number one, uh, round 13, I just think the potential value you're
10:42getting that late is really strong. Uh, Lad Mcconkey in round four is an exceptional pick. Round four is stacked this season. So, I understand it if you
10:50can't get as much lad because you're like, "Nick, there are so many amazing players in round four." I get it, but
10:55he's a great pick in round four. Uh Justin Herbert at the round seven eight turn if you miss on that top end of
11:00quarterback. I might start just calling Herbert the end of that top end of quarterback because he's going to have a great season. I'm Marin Hampton in round
11:07two. I prefer the midsecond round to the early second round where he goes on some platforms. He's going at like basically
11:13the one two turn and it's a little early. Again, we did the kind of round two running backs video. It's a little
11:18early to me. I do prefer Ken Walker. Um I do right now prefer Chase Brown. Uh so there's other running backs I typically
11:25take ahead of him, but great pick in the middle of the second round. Quinton Johnston round 89 turn you want to take
11:31a shot on him. Gadston in round 12, Trey Harris round 17 and Jooku round 18. Some of those guys I would say like Gadston
11:38on like Gadston maybe in a in a 12 team uh league but like Trey Harris, David and Jooku more best ball picks. For
11:46those of you in a classic 15 round reddraft league, you probably just don't even need to consider them. But again, I
11:52would be willing to draft literally all of those players because the upside of this offense is immense. Uh and we could
11:58see multiple league winners given those ADPs. Uh, number three, Todd Monkin, uh, replacing Stfansky as the head coach of the Browns. He also brought Travis
12:09Switzer with him. Uh, he was the Ravens run game coordinator while Monkin was the offensive coordinator for Baltimore.
12:17Uh, Monkin was also the offensive coordinator for the Bucks 2016 to 2018, the Browns in 2019, and then Baltimore the last three seasons. Over that time,
12:25his quarterbacks have been very aggressive, pushing the ball deep downfield and no play caller over the last 25 years has created explosive runs
12:35at a higher rate. Uh that's pretty sweet, right? And I think that's the big change here. Uh Todd Monkin hunts for
12:43explosive plays on offense, both in the passing game and the running game. And that was obviously a big part of what
12:49what was missing in Cleveland, not only last season, the last few seasons. Uh, unfortunately, he's also going to be working with his worst quarterback to
12:57date. Uh, we're likely going to see some combo of Deshun Watson. I think Deshawn's probably gonna start the season, probably going to play mediocre.
13:04They'll probably go to Shadur at some point. Uh, but either one of them is obviously a very big downgrade from Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield. Uh, in
13:12my opinion, even a downgrade from Jameus Winston, but the league probably doesn't agree with me on that one. Um, so we'll
13:18see what Monk can do here. Uh, in terms of who it helps, I would say it's Judkins and Conception. Um, that that
13:24stat I mentioned before is really exciting and I still haven't pinned down exactly how I value Judkins this season because we do know that Dylan Samson's
13:33going to be highly involved in the receiving game. Um, we know they have a good schedule, right? Right. So, that's a positive for Judkins and and again,
13:40this stat that I mentioned with Monin creating explosive runs at the highest rate of any play caller in the league over the last 25 years. That's really
13:48exciting for an offense that has an explosive running back and someone who's going to get all the early down work.
13:54There's really high upside on the ground for Judkins this season. I think where I rank him ultimately is we, you know, see
14:02what happens in camp. We see what happens. I don't want to say we see what happens in the preseason, but a little
14:05bit. But we kind of see how this team is operating in joint practices, all these things. Um, how much receiving work is
14:11he going to get? If we think it's going to be solid, he could be a league winner. Uh, if we think it's going to be
14:17pretty much all Dolan Samson, that kind of limits the pathway there. But obviously, again, this is a very good thing for Judkins. Um, I also want to
14:23note more than half the sample for Monin is, you know, on Cleveland, on Tampa Bay. So, it's not just like a Derrick
14:31Henry stat. You know, some people can be like, oh, he's been on Baltimore, right?
14:34Obviously, Derrick Henry under any play caller is going to create explosive runs. Yeah, but more than half the sample is without Derrick Henry. And so
14:40we we still have him creating explosive runs at a very high rate. That is great to see. Uh and then Conception, um I
14:47just personally think he's their best wide receiver at getting open. Um and this offense, if it's going to push the ball deep downfield at a higher rate, um
14:55he could have a breakout season. Um I kind of keep going back to this like best ball versus redraft thing simply
15:02because there are more rounds. You know, there's 18 rounds on underdog. I think there's 20 rounds, like 19 or 20 rounds
15:09on DraftKings for um for best baseball.
15:11And for most of you, you play in a 15 team league with a kicker and a defense.
15:16Your last skill player is around 13.
15:18Like conception at that point becomes a really great last wide receiver on your team, but he's a great player to add to
15:24your team on underdog because I really think he's going to ramp up as the season goes along. He's going to peak
15:29later on. I think he's going to have really strong value and he does go like right at the end of a range of wide
15:34receivers I feel good about after conception. You really start to be like hit or miss with those receivers. And so if you can kind of end, you know, a
15:42general range of wide receiver you're drafting and then kind of go to like tight end, maybe back to quarterback a little bit. Uh maybe hit on some running
15:47backs. I think it's typically a good strategy. Take Conception and then take those guys those guys. Yeah. Uh, Judkins, Conception. Um, if we can get
15:55halfdeent quarterback play, I think the coaching upgrade is going to be really nice. Uh, we could see, you know, some Browns players hit. I wouldn't go too
16:03much past them. I think Fannon is fine.
16:06I'm just not in love with him this season. Um, you're not getting any sort of discount from him. Uh, there are
16:12tight ends going a little bit ahead of him that have really high ceilings, a little bit after him, and even a chunk
16:16after him that have pretty much the same Florence ceiling as him. So, I don't get him too much, but again, elevating the
16:22offense will still help him. Number four is going to be the Titans. Uh, Robert Salah is their new head coach, getting
16:29another try after not doing so great in New York. Uh, but then what matters more is Brian Dball is their new offensive
16:37coordinator. Salah is a defensive head coach. He is not going to be involved in the offense. Um, we hate when defensive
16:47head coaches, you know, get that role because usually we want, you know, the Ben Johnson's of the world, right? You want an offensive coordinator to be
16:56crushing it to become a head coach and to bring that offensive system to the team. When you have a defensive head
17:02coach, sometimes you look at their hires and you look at the team and maybe they're involved in the offense and you're like, "Oh, no." Like you're a
17:10defensive head coach or a defensive coach. Like just control the defense.
17:13don't do anything else with the offense.
17:15And so that was a little bit of what happened in New York. Um more optimistic this time that, you know, Dall is
17:22someone we can get behind. Um because honestly, he was a pretty sought-after hire. Um he chose the Titans. I mean, he's not going to come out and say
17:30exactly why he chose the Titans over other teams, but the thinking is he chose the Titans because of how much control he's going to have over the
17:36offense because I really don't think Saul is going to have any control over the offense. So, it's all going to be
17:41dayball. And you would imagine because of how much he believes in the underlying talent of Cam Ward. Like if he didn't believe Cam Ward is any good,
17:48he's not taking the offensive coordinator job, right? Because if he thinks he's bad, well, he can't exactly like like Cam Ward has to work out for
17:53Dave All to work out. So if Cam Ward stinks and Dal goes out there and is like, "Yeah, it looks like he's not that
18:00good." He's gone and he's not getting a head coaching job. But I'm sure he wants another head coaching job or he wants to
18:06succeed as the offensive coordinator here. And so he's not going to take the job if he doesn't think Cam Ward is any
18:11good. I think that's a pretty big deal that's not being talked about enough. Um because also Dball has worked with some
18:17young uh quarterbacks that have really worked out, right? He starts um I say start he's been league for a long time,
18:23but he starts uh pushing, you know, the envelope of what he how he can develop the quarterback with Josh Allen. In
18:31recent seasons, Josh Allen was not some like locked in prospect entering the NFL, and he had a pretty mediocre rookie season, but under Dball, he really
18:40developed into obviously like one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL right now.
18:44And then you look last season with Jackson Dart, and it's another scenario of quarterback that enters the league, isn't necessarily viewed as some locked
18:52in prospect, but all of a sudden performs really, really well. So he has a history in recent years of developing very young quarterbacks and having them
19:01succeed. And these quarterbacks again were not just like locked in prospects.
19:06Also something we love with Jball is he is willing to just force feed. When he actually has someone that is worthy of
19:13being the top target and who is just clearly better than everyone else on the offense, he will feed them the football
19:18whenever there is someone that's actually capable of it. You know, if like Darius Sllayton's your number one, it's like, "All right, we should
19:24probably split the ball around a little bit." But whenever he has clear and obvious skill players, he'll feature them. Think about Cam Scataboo, right?
19:31Cam Scatteraboo goes out there and we're like, "Oh, it's going to be a split between him and Tracy." No. Dave Aldish
19:36decided that the best players on offense were Scataboo, Neighbors, and Wando. And every single play went to those three.
19:42Is that guaranteed to happen in Tennessee? Maybe not. But I think this is a pretty good thing for uh Carnell Tate just because he's very obviously
19:53the best wide receiver. I think this is a very good thing for Tony Pard. He's very obviously the best early down
19:58running back. Um I think Spears will mix in. I think Spears is a totally fine pick to make later on because of the
20:03contingent upside because of the potential receiving game. But this is a good thing for Carnell Tate and Tony Pard because they are clearly the best
20:10players on this offense. And if Cam Ward is developed under Brian Dball and he decides that he wants to force feed
20:18these two targets, they're both going to shatter their ADPs and they both have the talent to be very high-end producers in fantasy. Beyond that, I don't know
20:27how much I love this offense. Um, like in a one quarterback league, even if you think Kim Ward takes that ne next step,
20:34you probably just don't need to be touching him. Superflex totally fine.
20:38Underdog totally fine. Uh, but you know, in a in a reddraft league, 10 or 12 teams, you're going to be drafting some
20:45pretty locked in quarterbacks. Uh, so you don't need to be going to Cam Ward, even as a bench option. If you think he
20:50breaks out, monitor him on free for free for free for free for free for free for free for free for free for free for free
20:52agency. Um, because also he's got a lot of growth to do. Statistically, he was a bottom three quarterback in pretty much
20:58every metric last season. Uh but you know if Dal can make him even bottom 10 like we will take you know slightly
21:04below league average for starters at the quarterback position and that will be a very big upgrade for the offense. And again I want to go back a little bit to
21:12Tony Pard like I think Tate everyone understands if he's by far their best wide receiver if he is as good of a
21:18prospect as we think he can be um that's going to be a huge benefit for him. But for Tony Pard it also goes back to the
21:25offense just being absolutely terrible.
21:27Like they were awful last season. They weren't scoring any points. They weren't moving the ball at all. That's that's really bad for a running back, right?
21:34So, if they're going to score more points and stay on the field more and maybe win a couple more games, all of a
21:39sudden you're like, wait, Tony Pard had stretches last season where he was really good. Stretches where he was bad, but stretches where he was really good
21:45as well. And you're getting him at a pretty strong discount in drafts right now. I don't know. I think Pard, I think
21:51Tate are great picks to make right now because it it truly it cannot be worse than last season. Final coaching change
21:58go over today is Shawn Manion replacing Kevin Patulo as the Eagles offensive coordinator. Uh Patulo was just absolutely terrible last season. So if
22:09anything, even if what I talk about here does not convince you that Shawn Manion's going to be any good. If he is
22:15even remotely competent, that is going to be an upgrade. I'm sure all of you watch the Eagles. I'm sure a lot of you
22:22had whether it's Saquon Barkley, AJ Browns, Alice Godard, all Dallas Goddard, you were pretty happy with the production there, but you were not happy
22:28with Saquon. You're not happy with AJ Brown. You're not happy with Dvont Smith last season at Jaylen Herz because you'd watch this offense and you'd be like,
22:35"Okay, you don't have that many players.
22:37We need like 200 passing yards to have some pretty solid production here. We need like three touchdowns in some games. Like two touchdowns, give me two
22:45touchdowns." And you'd watch it, you'd be like, "What on earth is happening?
22:49who is calling plays for this team where all of these superstars on offense can't move the ball at all and it's three and
22:56out, three and out, three and out and you're like, how is this happening? Ken Bulo is how it is happening. He was
23:02awful. Now, um we don't have a big history obviously for Shawn Manion, right? Like he has coached for two years
23:10in the NFL. He is 34 years old. He has been an offensive assistant coach and he has been a quarterback's coach. That is
23:18it. So, we do not know a lot about him.
23:21The thing is, uh, the league seems to be very high on him as a coach. Coaching circles seem to like him. Seems to be a
23:28rising star. That should hold very little weight. Like, realistically, we still don't know how that's going to translate and people can be high on him,
23:36but then he can go out there and do nothing. But we always like to look at coaching trees. We like to look at like,
23:41okay, who have you learned under? Like, you don't just become an offense coordinator, but become a head coach out of absolutely nowhere. So, you've been
23:50learning under someone. Technically, he's only coached under Matt Laflur.
23:55That's still very good that he's a great coach. Uh, you want to be learning under him. But, he also played because again,
24:01he he was like a quarterback in the NFL for a while until 2021. So, pretty recently, he played for Shawn McVey, he
24:07played for Clint Kubak, and he played for Kevin Okonnell. Pretty darn good name. So, we've got Laflur, McVey, Kubiaak, and Okonnell as to who he has
24:16learned under. So, when you also hear that thing we should hold little weight on, when you hear coaching circles seem to like him, it's pretty easy to get
24:25excited when you think about who he's played for, who he's coached under, the league likes him, and he gets the Eagles
24:32offensive coordinator job after two seasons in Green Bay as an offensive assistant coach and a quarterback coach.
24:38There is something here, right? like there there has to be something there to where they would give him that job because that is that is a pretty
24:47soughtafter job. You've got a lot of great skilled players there. A lot of people wanted that. And for it to go to
24:53someone with that little coaching history, I don't know. I just feel like like where there's smoke, there's fire.
24:58And I just feel like there's there's something potentially there. It's easy to at a minimum get excited and at a minimum uh envision this offense being
25:08much improved. Maybe he's not the next Ben Johnson, Shawn McVey, Kevin O'Connell. Right. Fair. Right. Maybe he's not that. But
25:19the offense has to be better because most humans who have no football knowledge I feel like would be better h than Kevin Patulo was. And with the
25:29upside there seems to be here, we could have a big upgrade in the offense this season. In terms of who benefits the
25:34most, you have to look at Saquon Barkley. I mean, I don't think he's in his prime anymore, but Saquon's prime is
25:41going to extend much further than most players prime. He's just unbelievably athletic. Um, I still think he's very talented. I still think he failed last
25:49season because of the offensive environment and not because he's cooked.
25:53Uh, and so if they get back on track this season, he should have a really nice bounceback season. It's also that
25:59weird thing we've been talking about their schedule. By far the easiest schedule in the NFL, weeks one through 14. by far the hardest schedule in the
26:06NFL in the playoffs. So do with that what you will. Saquin is very likely to be a player who has a a high playoff
26:12rate over expectation. People who draft Saquon Barkley this season at the the one two turn are probably going to make the playoffs at a pretty high rate. Then
26:22he's going to have tough match ups in the playoffs and maybe that hurts you a little bit, but you're just trying to
26:27make the playoffs. Anything can happen.
26:28So it's a very difficult kind of tugof-war there. Um but I still think Squin is a phenomenal pick to make at
26:33the one two turn. Um, I think you can also look at Dvont Smith. You can look at Jaylen Herz. Uh, Dvont could
26:39literally finish with a top five target share this season. Jaylen Herz could still always run for 15 touchdowns. Both have very reasonable price tags this
26:48season. Uh, both have very high-end upside if this offense can even be league average. So, um, perhaps the coaching change I have the least
26:56confidence in purely because we have absolutely no history to go back on. But um it's one with very sneaky upside because people will look at Shawn Manion
27:05and be like what? Like what? Like of course that's not going to work out because he's largely an unknown, but people aren't factoring in. Okay, what
27:13if he's actually very good and we go from the worst to very good. Huge upgrade. Still a very talented offense.
27:21I don't know. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited about uh Shawn Manion this season, but we will see what ends
27:28up happening. So, uh, those are five coaching changes that I think are going to have the biggest impact in the NFL
27:33this season, especially in terms of fantasy football. If you want to take advantage of these changes before the general public starts to catch on once
