Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveValue0:38

The source identifies Amon-Ra St. Brown as one of the few elite non-running back players worthy of a first-round selection.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

NegativeDepth Chart23:18

Antonio Williams is viewed as a long-term, slow-burn prospect rather than an immediate redraft asset. He is currently behind Terry McLaurin, Stefon Diggs, Luke McCaffrey, and Treylon Burks on the depth chart, making him a poor late-round target compared to players with immediate breakout potential.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveBreakout16:38

The source recommends Blake Corum as a ninth-round pick, emphasizing that his contingent upside is significant even if his base-case projection is not elite.

Insight page

Boston Scott

NegativeUsage8:02

The team continues to value Boston Scott, specifically utilizing him for short-yardage situations, supported by the contract they awarded him, which limits the potential goal-line usage for other running backs.

Insight page

Brian Robinson

NegativeUsage15:29

The source highlights that the Commanders are actively looking to increase Brian Robinson Jr.'s involvement in the receiving game to avoid being one-dimensional. While the source expresses skepticism about Robinson's high-end pass-catching ability, the team's intent to use him in that capacity threatens the role of passing-down specialists like Rachaad White.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeRole7:38

Bucky Irving is considered a poor pick in round five due to a limited role. He is expected to lose passing-down work to Kenneth Gainwell and short-yardage work to Boston Scott, limiting his touchdown and reception upside. The team's desire to keep him healthy further restricts his usage to early-down work.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveValue6:43

Caleb Williams is recommended as a value alternative to drafting Lamar Jackson, specifically targeting him in round seven.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeValue3:36

The source suggests Chase Brown is a better value than Devon Achane at their respective draft positions.

Insight page

Chris Bell

NegativeDepth Chart22:58

The source suggests Chris Bell is a wide receiver to monitor on his team, noting he is the player to watch once he is healthy enough to play.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

PositiveBreakout4:57

Cyrus Allen is highlighted as a high-upside waiver wire target who could immediately command significant route participation and targets in Week 1; he is also noted for having an amazing training camp.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

NegativeUsage18:57

The addition of DJ Moore to the roster negatively impacts Khalil Shakir's fantasy value by capping his potential ceiling.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

PositiveValue6:50

Daniel Jones is suggested as a value alternative to drafting Lamar Jackson, specifically targeting him in round 14.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeBust3:21

The source labels Devon Achane the worst pick in round two (14th overall), citing a bottom-five projected offense, a weak offensive line, and a shift from Tua Tagovailoa's check-down tendencies to Malik Willis's scrambling style. Additionally, the source warns that Miami's brutal late-season schedule could lead to tanking, increasing the risk that Achane is benched for minor injuries like ankle, shoulder, groin, or hamstring issues.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeProjection12:59

The source notes that DK Metcalf finished 23rd in points per game last season despite playing alongside 'absolute scrubs' at wide receiver, suggesting that if a breakout were to happen, it would have occurred then. He is viewed as a competitor for targets in a crowded offense that will likely struggle to support multiple fantasy-relevant pass catchers.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveProjection16:36

The source highlights George Kittle as a high-upside target in the ninth and tenth rounds, recommending him as an exception to the general strategy of avoiding tight ends in that range because he has insane upside.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveValue0:38

The source considers Ja'Marr Chase one of the few non-running back players worth drafting in the first round, serving as a benchmark for elite value.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveValue6:42

Jalen Hurts is recommended as a value alternative to drafting Lamar Jackson, specifically targeting him in round six.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveValue6:49

Jared Goff is suggested as a value alternative to drafting Lamar Jackson, specifically targeting him in round 10.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveValue6:42

Jayden Daniels is recommended as a value alternative to drafting Lamar Jackson, specifically targeting him in round six.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

PositiveValue19:42

Jayden Reed is recommended as a superior draft pick compared to Khalil Shakir in the current ADP range.

Insight page

Jaydon Blue

PositiveSleeper40:13

Jayden Blue is highlighted as a late-round target with breakout potential, with the source suggesting he could command 10 touches per week if given the opportunity and should be fully rostered.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveValue16:44

The source suggests Jonathan Brooks as a viable target if he falls to the ninth round of drafts.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveValue6:08

Josh Allen is considered a stable, high-floor pick in the late third round due to his track record of being a top-two quarterback for six consecutive seasons.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveSleeper16:33

The source identifies Josh Downs as a superior draft target in the ninth round, labeling him as a potential league winner for the upcoming season.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveValue6:44

Justin Herbert is highlighted as a preferred value target in round 11 compared to drafting Lamar Jackson in round four.

Insight page

Kayshon Boutte

NegativeValue19:42

Kayshon Boutte is considered a speculative hold, primarily contingent on a potential trade, as he is unlikely to provide immediate fantasy value while on the Patriots. Despite this, the source previously expressed confidence in his talent, recommending him as a better draft pick than Khalil Shakir.

Insight page

Keaontay Ingram

NegativeDepth Chart16:22

The source suggests that Keaontay Ingram would likely be the primary beneficiary of additional work if J.C. White were to suffer an injury, rather than White seeing an expanded role.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeUsage7:57

Reports indicate Kenneth Gainwell is clearly the primary option for the team on passing downs. His production from last season serves as a benchmark for a secondary running back role, though the source notes such a role is not desirable in the current offensive scheme.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeValue3:36

The source suggests Kenneth Walker III is a better value than Devon Achane at their respective draft positions.

Insight page

Khalil Shakir

NegativeBust18:43

The source considers Khalil Shakir a poor draft pick in the mid-11th round, noting that the addition of DJ Moore limits his ceiling and makes him difficult to start. The source explicitly prefers Jayden Reed, Kayshon Boutte, Romeo Doubs, and Stefon Diggs over him.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeValue18:22

The source labels Kyle Pitts as the worst value in the seventh round, criticizing his ADP as a 'joke' and noting that he was the TE21 through week 13 last season, with his overall stats inflated by a single 40-point game.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveValue6:50

Kyler Murray is suggested as a value alternative to drafting Lamar Jackson, specifically targeting him in round 11.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeValue5:53

The source advises against drafting Lamar Jackson at his 409 ADP, preferring to wait for later-round quarterback value. While acknowledging his high ceiling, the source argues he lacks the stability of Josh Allen and carries elevated injury risk, suggesting targets like Jalen Hurts, Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, Justin Herbert, Trevor Lawrence, Jared Goff, Kyler Murray, or Daniel Jones instead.

Insight page

Malik Washington

PositiveBust22:46

The source discourages drafting Malik Washington, citing poor efficiency metrics (5.3 yards per target, 7.5 yards per reception) and a poor passing environment. He is considered a poor fantasy pick in his current draft range.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeUsage3:51

The source expresses concern that Malik Willis's tendency to scramble rather than check down will negatively impact the target volume for running backs like Devon Achane, contrasting with Tua Tagovailoa's historical tendency to dump the ball off under pressure.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeValue15:10

The source ranks Marvin Harrison Jr. in the late seventh round, significantly lower than his mid-sixth round ADP, citing poor camp vibes, a lack of confidence, and a difficult team schedule that includes facing elite passing defenses. The source prefers targeting Michael Wilson or Trey McBride over him.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeValue12:26

The source argues that Michael Pittman Jr. is a poor value at his round eight (808) ADP, labeling him as 'filler' with no upside to be a fantasy difference-maker. The analysis cites concerns over a crowded target environment including DK Metcalf, Jeremy Bernard, and various running backs/tight ends, combined with a low-volume, slow-paced offense led by a 43-year-old Aaron Rodgers.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveValue17:02

The source prefers targeting Michael Wilson in later rounds over Marvin Harrison Jr., arguing that Wilson looks better on film and offers better value.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeValue0:38

While previously considered a top-tier first-round pick, the source notes that recent developments and news have made them reconsider his status, potentially removing him from their exclusive list of non-RB first-round targets.

Insight page

Rachaad White

NegativeRole15:13

The source views Rachaad White as a negative fantasy asset, noting he is essentially limited to a passing-down role on a team that historically throws to running backs less than any other NFL team. With reports indicating the Commanders want to involve Brian Robinson Jr. more in the passing game, White's path to consistent volume is severely restricted.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeBust4:16

The source identifies Rashee Rice as a bust pick at his 25th overall ADP, ranking him 42nd instead. Concerns include his recovery from a knee injury, poor camp performance, and the potential that the team will stop force-feeding him targets after his inefficient 2023 season. Additionally, Cyrus Allen having an amazing camp negatively impacts Rice's outlook.

Insight page

Rashid Shaheed

PositiveUsage1:48

The source expects Rashid Shaheed to see increased involvement and a larger target share this season following a significant offseason contract.

Insight page

Ricky Pearsall

NegativeValue23:23

Ricky Pearsall's ADP is cratering, and he is effectively not being drafted in current leagues; he is expected to fall well outside the 16th round as draft platforms adjust their data.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

PositiveValue19:42

Romeo Doubs is highlighted as a preferred draft target over Khalil Shakir in the current ADP range.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveValue19:42

Stefon Diggs is recommended as a superior draft pick compared to Khalil Shakir in the current ADP range.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveSleeper40:13

Terrance Ferguson is recommended as a late-round target with breakout potential, specifically noting his path to targets if a starter like Puka Nacua were to miss time.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

PositiveBust17:08

The source advises against drafting Travis Kelce at his current early 10th-round ADP, citing his age (37), declining production metrics (career lows in yards per game and yards per target), and the fact that similar production can be found much later in the draft.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveValue6:48

Trevor Lawrence is recommended as a value alternative to drafting Lamar Jackson, specifically targeting him in round eight.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveUsage17:04

The source identifies Trey McBride as a preferred target in the offense, suggesting he is a better option to throw to than Marvin Harrison Jr.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeInjury20:00

The source warns against drafting Zach Charbonnet, especially for teams without an IR spot, citing that he is unlikely to play in September and may not be fantasy-relevant until November. Holding him handcuffs roster flexibility during the early season, and the source dismisses team hype regarding a week one return as a 'load of poop'.

Insight page

Zachariah Branch

PositiveBreakout40:26

Zachariah Branch is a high-upside target who could emerge as a team's number two wide receiver; the source compares his explosive potential to Tank Dell.

0:00What's going on guys? It's Nick here, back with another video. Today we're going round by round talking about who I think the worst pick is in every round
0:05this season. This will be a mixture of player takes and strategy and ADP is going to be an average of all the major
0:12platforms. If you want to follow along or see the updated ADPs, feel free on my website thefantasyfootballadvice.com.
0:18All right, let's start things off in round one where everyone's a good pick, so I don't want to turn this into a big
0:24thing, but the worst pick among all the very good picks in round one is Jackson Smith and he's going six overall. I have
0:31him seventh overall. This is a mixture of player take and strategy, but I would say the lean is more strategy. I just
0:38want a running back in round one. I'm really right now only breaking that for Chase, Puka, and Amon-Ra. And honestly, Puka recent news, recent developments,
0:46everything makes me want to change that to only Chase and Amon-Ra. But yeah, from a strategy perspective, I just think you're better off starting with a
0:53running back in the first round. Then from a player perspective, you know, there's concerns about Kubiak leaving.
0:59They've said they want to kind of keep the same system, bring over elements from San Francisco. That's all great, but we still don't know if it's still
1:06going to be as effective of a scheme.
1:08You also have Shaheed going to be more involved this season, he was given a big contract in the off season.
1:14They didn't really use him at all when they traded for him last year. He'll have more of a target share. And then
1:19just the obvious regression, right? 11 yards per target last season on 163 targets. No other player in NFL history has done that. Actually, before last
1:31season, I think it was 139 targets was the most on 11 yards per target or more.
1:35So, no one had done 140 targets and 11 yards per target. He goes out there and does 163 targets sustaining that level
1:42of efficiency. Obviously, that is going to drop. So, he's going to have a good season. It's just we don't know how far
1:48the efficiency is going to drop, not only just naturally, but with the offensive coordinator leaving. And then you mix in, you know, wanting running
1:55back in that range just makes him the worst pick among the very good picks. In round two, worst pick is Devon Achane,
2:01goes 14th overall. I have him 18th overall, so not a huge difference, but I really just don't get him that much
2:07because again, usually goes at the 2-3 turn of a 12-team league, and I just don't want to be drafting him or the 1-2
2:13turn, I don't really want to be drafting him until the 2-3 turn.
2:16Um I see how you pass on Chase Brown, pass on Ken Walker to take him, and consistently he goes ahead of those two.
2:24Miami's going to have a bottom-five offense this season, they're going to have a bottom-five offensive line, and they're transitioning from, you know,
2:31the check-down king Tua to a hyper-mobile quarterback that's rarely going to check down. I understand people's arguments that like, well, they've been bad, they've had a bad
2:39offensive line. Well, number one, the bad offensive line can be fixed by Mike McDaniel, he's a a great coordinator that takes
2:45bad players on the offensive line and makes them over-perform. They don't have that anymore. But then also, it's the check-downs, right? Even if you have a
2:51bad offensive line and Tua's under constant pressure, what does he do when that happens? He dumps it off. What is Malik going to do? He's going to
2:58scramble. So, it's just different.
3:00People seem to think they can have it both ways, right? They think that, you know, they can say Malik's going to run
3:04for 1,000 yards this season, but that he's also going to check it down to Tua or check it down to Achane every play.
3:10You can't have it both. Either you think Malik's going to run for a lot of yards or you think there's going to be a lot
3:16of check-downs still there for Achane.
3:18But you cannot have both in this equation, and the real worry for Achane isn't even just that. It's the late-season schedule. If they're
3:26actually live for the number one pick, they end the season weeks 13 through 17 playing the Broncos, Bears, Packers, Chargers, and Bills. Brutal, they will
3:35be losing all of those games. That's going to be five losses in a row to go 13 through 17. They might lose their
3:42last six, seven, eight games this season, and if they're live for number one, and they look at that schedule and they're like, all we have to do is not
3:49upset a team with hit one pick, or they're live for a top three pick in a really good draft class. Like the point
3:54would be if Achane has the slightest of ankle injuries, shoulder injuries, groin injuries, even the slightest of an injury, little bit of a hammy, they're
4:03going to sit him in those weeks. They're going to bench him. They're going to tank. And so with that kind of in the
4:09range of outcomes there, I don't want that to even be a possibility in my early second round pick. Round three, Worth's pick is easily Rashee Rice, goes
4:1625th overall at the 2-3 turn. I have him 42nd overall. Looks awful in camp as he works back from his knee injury. Now, I
4:24do think some of the clips are unfair because I think they're actually having him take it easy. Like there's that one
4:30clip going around where he just gets completely locked up on the left side of the field. He gets absolutely no separation. He's moving like 1 mile an
4:38hour. I genuinely think on some of these plays they are telling him, "Go out there. Like the ball is not going to
4:44you. We just need you to like be out there filling space, you know, working back from the injury. Go like 60%." I do
4:49actually think that's probably occurring to some degree, but it's not great that that's occurring. It's not great that Cyrus Allen's having an amazing camp.
4:57It's not great that he's had other severe injuries in the past. Like he's just not a player that the underlying talent is good for unless you are
5:05uh playing a team heavy in zone and you're peppering with targets. Cuz last season very valuable cuz they just threw it to
5:11him every play. And you could tell like they got to the red zone it was like, "Oh, the ball's going to Rashee Rice."
5:15But it was like it was forced. Like it just like I think they thought they were going to get this really high-end
5:20efficiency with him beating zone and just picking teams apart. He got a lot of targets, but he was very inefficient.
5:27He couldn't beat man coverage, so it had to be these zone beaters. And if they're not force-feeding him the football every
5:33play because maybe in the off-season they look at it and they're like, "Oh, we were pretty darn bad last season forcing him the football." Maybe they
5:39just don't do that this year. If that happens, you're not going to have fun taking him at the 2-3 turn. And again,
5:44you'll want to see him look a lot better in camp uh before you start taking him.
5:48I'm through 105 drafts right now. I took him one time. Uh round four, Lamar Jackson comes off the board at the 409.
5:54I have him about eight spots lower in round five. This one is purely strategy.
5:58He's a great pick. You know, he's the quarterback two. I don't think you can really debate anyone over him as a
6:03quarterback two. It's just that like Josh Allen is fine in the late third round cuz you're paying for that stability. You know Josh Allen has been
6:11a top two quarterback in six consecutive seasons. You're paying for the stability, the certainty. You know what's going to happen with Josh Allen.
6:17Going to be great. Lamar has that same ceiling as Allen and maybe even has a higher ceiling, but he isn't stable at
6:24all. I mean, his production is all over the place. He's got way elevated injury risk. But there's just a lot more
6:28seasons where Lamar goes out there in the same spot and does and doesn't do anything. And so, you're not buying that certainty in
6:36round four. It's just like, wait. Like there's so many good quarterbacks this season. Round six, you can take Daniels or Hurts. Round seven, you can go Caleb
6:43or Herbert. Round eight, you can go Trevor Lawrence, Goff in round 10, Kyler in round 11, Daniels uh Daniel Jones in round 14. Like
6:50there's just so many options this season. Why take Lamar in four?
6:55Completely lock yourself out from any sort of value. Just wait. At some point, someone I listed off is going to be a
7:04great value. You're going to sit there and be like, wow, they're a round or two behind ADP. I didn't plan on taking
7:09them, but how do I pass this up? Well, you're going to be pretty annoyed if you take Lamar in four, pass up on some
7:14really good players like Buca, Loveland, uh Ladd, Waddle, Burden. There's great picks in round four. Pass on all of them to take him. Maybe you sit there in
7:23round like 11 and Justin Herbert's still there cuz in home town leagues that's going to happen. And you're like, what am I doing? Obviously, I'd prefer Justin
7:29Herbert in round 11 to a round four Lamar Jackson. Uh so, just just wait and take the value at quarterback.
7:36Round five, uh Bucky Irving.
7:39This one I think is kind of a mixture. I mean, round five historically is not an amazing spot to be drafting running
7:46back. The wide receivers typically are a little bit better. Maybe Lamar does fall to round five, in which case he's a much
7:52better pick. Uh but for the most part, I'm just concerned about the split here.
7:57Like, there's plenty of reports that Kenneth Gainwell is very clearly the guy on passing downs. We know that they still like Boston Scott. They gave
8:05Boston Scott a pretty decent contract for a number three running back. We know they like using him in short yardage.
8:10They have talked about how they got to keep Bucky healthy. So, when you take him off the field in two-minute drills,
8:15all these passing downs, take him off the field in goal line short yardage, it's just a way to reduce the hits, um
8:20reduce the reps, and keep him healthy.
8:23So, that's good. You might have him for longer this season, but if it's all early down work with like minimal touchdown upside, minimal reception
8:30upside, round five just feels aggressive. You really just missed out on some really high-end running backs.
8:37This is a range of the draft where you should probably be focusing on wide receiver. You should probably take two running backs in the first three rounds,
8:43and then focus on tight end maybe around fourth level, and but really wide receiver in these middle rounds. Taking Bucky Irving, it's just like it's not a
8:51good setup. I would much prefer to take running back early, and then target wide receiver here. So, it's a mixture of
8:56strategy and player take, but the player take aspect here is just that I just don't see the role being that strong
9:03unless you have a Gainwell injury.
9:05And I don't want that to happen in round five. In round five, I want to be very sure my running back has a great role.
9:10Uh round six, Marvin Harrison Jr. coming off the board in mid-sixth round. I have him in the late seventh round. I should
9:15I don't know. The vibes are off. Like, it it feels like you watch him in these clips out of camp, and you're like, he
9:21looks so hesitant. Like, doesn't he?
9:22Like, you you watch it, and you're like, he it's almost like he doesn't want the football. It's like he runs the route
9:27hoping that when he turns around, the ball's not coming his way. Um lot of former NFL players, former wide receivers, have come talked about just
9:34the confidence. Like, it just seems like he's lacking confidence right now. And he's a player that like we could look back on this in round six and be like,
9:40how did we pass on that? Like he's that talented of a player. The problem is I just feel like we're a little bit of
9:45times overvaluing this team. This team is projected to be bottom two with the Jets in terms of points per game. They
9:50have the hardest schedule I've ever seen in my life. Like every single week you're going to be looking at this and
9:54being like, oh, they play Seattle again.
9:56They play the Rams again. They play the Eagles. You're going to be like, what what why do they keep playing these like
10:00insane passing defenses every single week? They'll go from Brissett to start the season and then go to Carson back after that. So you have quarterback
10:07change. It's just there's a lot of vibes that are very, very bad and it almost seems like I don't know. It's beat
10:13reporters, so maybe it's not like the team, but it almost seems like they're being forced being like, no, no, no, he's still very good. He's out there in
10:19one wide receiver sets. He's getting the football and it's like, I don't know.
10:22When I watch the clips, doesn't Michael Wilson look a lot better than him?
10:24Wouldn't you much rather throw to Trey McBride? Like it just it doesn't seem like it's working right now. Hasn't been working the last two years. I don't
10:31know. I feel like we're still forcing it. Unless there are a lot more positive reports out of camp, round six, it just
10:37feels too early to be taking Marvin Harrison Jr.
10:40Like I would much rather wait a couple rounds and take the upside of Michael Wilson even though the reports are that
10:45Marvin's went out there in one and two wide receiver sets. So obviously they're both out there in two wide receiver sets. But Marvin's went out there in 13
10:51personnel one wide receiver sets. Those are the ones you want in fantasy. I just kind of don't care. Like I it's the
10:55vibes are bad for Marvin this season. Uh round seven there are actually a lot of really bad values, but I will say that uh Kyle
11:03Pitts is just easily the worst. I don't get it. Like I've had people try to explain it to me. I don't understand the
11:08ADP this season. Early seventh round ADP. Uh ESPN, he's a mid fifth rounder.
11:13That might be the worst ADP I've ever seen in my life. So you can't take him on ESPN. It genuinely feels like a joke
11:19that he's that high. Um historically is a really bad range to take tight ends.
11:23So if you look at past data uh how teams have performed when they taken certain positions at certain ranges, mid round
11:30tight end is just not a winning strategy. You can win, right? That year, um I I think Brock Bowers' rookie season
11:36was in this general range. Um that obviously led to league-winning seasons, but over time, it's a losing bet taking tight end in this range. He's the sixth
11:45tight end off boards, and he didn't even do that last season with a 40-point game. Like, I think that's what we need
11:49to wrap our head heads around right now.
11:51He was seventh in points per game last year, taken sixth this year. He was the tight end 21 through week 13. For the
11:58vast majority of the season, he did absolutely nothing. 6.7 half-PPR points per game in the 12 games that Drake London played. For most of the season,
12:07you did not want him on your roster.
12:09Then he dropped 40 fantasy points.
12:11That's it. That's all that happened last year. And so, to take him as the tight end six, I don't know what we're doing.
12:16He had a couple good games with London out, but London's going to be back this season. I don't know. I've taken him on
12:21two out of 105 teams. It was only because he fell and I was stacking Atlanta. In a redraft league, it makes
12:26no sense to take him this early. In round eight, Pittman, uh he goes at 808.
12:32I have him about two and a half rounds behind ADP. There's a subset of the community that just like really likes
12:37the Steelers this season. I think ETR is probably like steering the ship in that the most, and I have a lot of respect
12:44for the projection team over at ETR, Silva and Levitan as well. Like, I I I don't like to go against them. I just
12:51don't get it. Like, I understand that maybe they like quote-unquote return value in this their general spots, but Metcalf was 23rd in just the points per
13:00game last season playing alongside absolute scrubs at wide receiver. If it was ever going to happen for Metcalf, it would have happened last season. And
13:07truly, for most of the season for Metcalf, you didn't really want him.
13:10And I know this is a Pittman take, but like Metcalf is still a very good wide receiver. He's still on the team. The
13:15team is very invested in having him. If they ever go to one wide receiver sets, he'll be the one on the field. When you
13:21throw Pittman in there, you add in Jeremy Bernard, it's like I I the target shares really thinning out even if you're in the camp that thinks that
13:29Pittman leads the wide receiver room in targets, they're going to throw to the running backs, they're going to rotate their tight ends in there. Aaron Rodgers
13:36is now 43 years old coming off by a good chunk his fewest passing yards per game of his career. This team's going to be
13:43bottom five in total plays. Rodgers is probably going to throw for about like 200 passing yards per game. And so you
13:49divvy up those 200 yards among Metcalf and Pittman and Bernard and Rico and Warren and Freiermuth and Washington and all of a sudden you're like, where's the
14:00upside? Again, I can see in like a full PPR league if Pittman's running these like five-yard, you know, hitch routes and is getting like five of them every
14:08week and you're like, you know, I'll take my five for 50 with like a touchdown every month in full PPR. I
14:14guess, but I just like do you really want that? I don't know. Like are we really going to bet on a 43-year-old Aaron Rodgers in a
14:22slow-paced, low-volume offense when they're not exactly thin at skill players? And the contract, I mean, two years 35 million, it's not bad, but it's
14:30way less than they gave DK Metcalf and it's in the same range as Wan'Dale, Dobbs, Shaheed. Like they Those guys go
14:37later. Some of them are on better offenses. It's like, I don't know. I I don't really see it. He's fine. It just
14:43screams no upside, no chance of being a difference-maker. What do we always talk about in a redraft league is you got to
14:48draft difference-makers. There's like 15 players that actually matter in fantasy.
14:53Everyone else is filler. Everyone else is rotated in. Everyone else you can find something in free agency. You can trade for another guy that's just like
15:00rotating into your flex spot. That's what Pittman is. Pittman is that guy that is filler, has no chance of being a
15:06difference-maker. So why draft someone who has no chance of being a difference-maker in round eight? There are options for you in round eight.
15:13Round nine, uh Rashad White, similar sentiment, uh but a one-year, $2 million deal from the Commanders this offseason, uh pretty much only a passing-down
15:22running back on a team that threw to running backs less than any team in the NFL last season. Camp reports are
15:29indicating that they want to get J.C.
15:30More involved in the receiving game that he's developed in that area. I only half buy that report. I I do buy the report
15:37that they want it to happen. I just don't think that J.C. is totally capable of being a high-end pass catcher, but
15:42the fact that they want it to happen, that they want J.C. to be out there and basically they don't want to be
15:46one-dimensional. When they throw a J.C.
15:48White out there, they're like, "Okay, well, we're obviously passing the ball, right? Like, it's not really going to We're not going to give him really down
15:52touches. If we do, they're not going to be efficient." So, they want J.C. to be that guy who's decently productive on
15:57the ground and can at least be a threat in receiving game. And so, White's really only going to have 2-minute, 4-minute obvious passing situations.
16:04On the Commanders, it's like maybe that's a good role on the Steelers, right? If you can rack up like Gainwell did last season, but it's not a good
16:13role on the Commanders. No one's going to throw to running backs less or maybe they're like only fifth worst this season, but they're not going to throw
16:18to the running back position all that much this year. I just don't see it.
16:22Even if J.C. got hurt, they probably give Keaontay Ingram more work. It's like, I don't know. I White's only going to have a passing down role. I don't
16:28understand why he would really be someone you want to be considering. In round nine, you can do better, right?
16:33You could go for Josh Downs, maybe league winner of the season. Kittle has insane upside. Corum, even if the base case for Corum isn't amazing, the
16:40contingent upside at the very least is insane for him. Uh maybe Jonathan Brooks falls to this range. Like, do you really want to take Washington uh
16:48backup running back here? No, the tonsil injury should just like further cement that for you. That decreases their touchdown projection. That decreases,
16:56you know, how good they're going to be on offense, but then the efficiency.
16:58Like, he's still going to have some carries. Well, now those carries are going to be a lot less efficient not having tonsil there. So, yeah, I don't
17:03see the real appeal to the backfield in general, but if you want someone, it's going to be J.C., but I would mostly
17:08just avoid Commanders running backs this season. Uh round 10, Travis Kelce uh goes in the early 10th round. I have him
17:15about a round behind that. Uh through 105 drafts, I have him on one team.
17:20Maybe I'm being ageist here, fading a 43-year-old Aaron Rodgers and a soon-to-be 37-year-old Travis Kelce, but this is the National Football League. If
17:28linebackers truly cannot cover a 37-year-old Travis Kelce, they should not be on the field. Like, last season, uh, set a decade low. A decade low, you
17:37can say that for Travis Kelce, uh, and then still not be at the beginning of his career. A decade low in targets, uh,
17:43a career low in receiving yards per game, second lowest yards per target of his career. That should be obvious, he's now 37 years old. Obviously, he's going
17:51to be regressing. Only has five, three, and five touchdowns over the last couple seasons. I definitely think he could finish in this general top 10 range, in
17:59this like nine to 12 range, in like quote-unquote return value at this ADP.
18:05But there's like a one point per game difference between the tight end 10 and the tight end 18. So, you can find this
18:11exact production at the very end of the draft. There are tight ends going much later that will probably produce within one point per game of Travis Kelce.
18:20And they maybe have the ceiling to actually outproduce this and maybe do like a tight end six, seven, or eight.
18:28Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that's really in the cards for Travis Kelce at this point of his career. So,
18:32you're just better off completely avoiding tight end in this range unless Kittle's there, we want Kittle. But avoid tight end in this range. Wait,
18:40there's going to be some options later in the draft that actually have a ceiling or to very least can return the
18:43same value as Kelce. It doesn't cost you a 10th round pick. Uh, round 11, Shakir goes in the mid-11th round. I have him
18:51in the mid-12th round. Um, over the last two years, he's been the wide receiver 35 and 39 in adjusted points per game.
18:57And now they added DJ Moore. That's probably all I should really have to say to where it's like there's just not a
19:03ceiling here. We know Shakir at a baseline, even if DJ Moore got injured, is not a ceiling player. But now you
19:08have DJ Moore in there and it's just you're never going to to when to play him. Um, just feels like a throw-away
19:12pick. Like, maybe in a full PPR three wide receiver league, and first off, he'll be going higher than this in that
19:18format. Um, but maybe in a format like that, you can lean on him. Um, but like 75% of you play in a league that's
19:24either like, you know, eight, 10, or 12 teams, standard or or half PPR or full PPR, but not three wide receivers. And
19:30in all of those formats, are you going to play him? Like, are you actually going to play him this season?
19:35Probably not. Um, or at the very least, you could find that exact production on free agency at some point where better production. And
19:42in this range, you can still draft Kayshon Boutte who we love the talent on, Romeo Doubs, Stefon Diggs, Jayden Reed. Give me
19:48all four of those wide receivers over Shakir every time. I even prefer the round 12 wide receivers we'll see in a
19:54second over Shakir. Uh, in round 12, I'll be honest, there actually aren't that many bad picks. Round 12 looks pretty solid this season. Um, all these
20:01guys are pretty appropriately priced. I will say Charbonnet though, um, specifically if you don't have an IR spot. Like, they can hype him up all
20:09they want and say like week one isn't off the table. That is a load of poop.
20:12Like, this kid is not playing in week one this season. There's no way we see him in September. Um, tough spending a
20:1912th round pick on a player that I mean, I don't know that we see him until November.
20:26That's just too far. Like, if you don't have an IR spot, you're just burning a hole at the bottom of your roster. You
20:31need those spots. As much as you might think, "Oh, it's the last bench piece. I can wait on it." You will have injuries.
20:37And even for those of you in IR leagues, like you're like, "Oh, I can add him, throw him on IR, and then add someone on
20:41free agency, right? It's a free pick."
20:43And I get that. That's that's not like a bad move or anything. But as we get later in the camp, there's probably
20:48going to be other players you can do that for. But then also, like you're going to need that. Like, your team is
20:52healthy right now. It's not going to be healthy in week two. Like, you're going to have injuries. You're going to have
20:57players who underperform. You're going to need these bench spots. Every bench spot is very, very valuable in fantasy to have it be Charbonnet locked in for
21:06like six to 8 weeks maybe. Like I know they're a optimistic about his recovery and I think he could be good in the
21:12second half of the season. It just feels like something that like for the teams who wait on them, they're going to be
21:18happy come week 10, 11, 12 but only so happy because they could have had some very great free agent ads early in the season. They could have,
21:26you know, um instead of dropping someone throw them into the IR spot and maybe they you lost a player that's even more
21:31valuable than Charbonnet was. So it's just like it kind of handcuffs you a lot and you don't want to be doing that. So
21:36um I'm around 14. I think he's fine. If you have an IR spot, you have two IR spots, much better. Um but especially no
21:42IR spot, you just can't do it. Uh round 13, Deon Sampson. Uh Browns have the worst offensive line in the league,
21:47probably have the worst quarterback in the league no matter who starts, probably be Sudorf but no matter who starts going to be the worst quarterback
21:52play in the league. Um And Sampson's a really bad early down back. Like he's basically all of his value comes on receptions.
21:59But it's really just like a couple okay games last season and when he didn't have Flacco at quarterback, he was 63rd
22:05in points per game last year. That there's no path here, right? There's even reports that Rocket Sanders is pushing him for the backup role in camp.
22:12Um he'll never have carries. It's not a team we're expecting a ton of dump offs to go to. When they had Flacco, he'll
22:18dump it off a lot but when you don't have Flacco, that's not going to happen.
22:21Uh just there's no reason to draft Deon Sampson this season. Uh round 14, can stick with the Browns and say the worst
22:27pick is Jerry Jeudy uh Concepcion, Boston. They're going to be the top two wide receivers this season on this team.
22:33Fanon is also going to be featured.
22:35Judkins has got plenty of touches and so you're going to have Jeudy in what?
22:38Fifth in touches on the Browns? No, thank you there. Uh round 15, Malik Washington. I get it. We're searching for the top wide receiver on a team this
22:48late. Uh don't do it. It's not going to be a good passing environment. Uh you just don't want to be investing in the
22:53wide receivers on this team. And if you do Caleb Douglas seems to be having a good camp. Uh Chris Bell, once he's
22:59healthy enough to play, he's probably the one that we're going to want. I don't think in redraft leagues you're drafting them, but the point would be uh
23:05Malik Washington has a career 5.3 yards per target, 7.5 yards per reception.
23:11Come on. We can do a lot better than that in this range. Uh and then round 16, final round we'll go over today,
23:18Antonio Williams. I don't I don't think he's a bad pick. Um I know Pearsall's going to be listed on the screen here,
23:23but he's no one's actually drafting him. You can see he's cratering by ADP. Tomorrow, he'll be like if you refresh this page
23:29when you're watching the video, uh again, the fantasy footballadvice.com, you can go there and follow along. He will not be a 16th round pick. He'll be
23:35later. It's just that takes a little bit for sites uh ADPs to adjust. Um Like I don't hate Antonio Williams as a
23:42prospect, but it's a future thing, right? McLaurin, Diggs are the locked-in top two wide receivers. They're going to be playing a lot of just two wide
23:48receiver sets. Uh sounds like Luke McCaffrey and Treylon Burks right now are ahead of Antonio Williams. That can change, but this feels like a slow burn
23:56kind of situation. It feels like if he does break out, it's much more in the second half of the season, maybe after
24:01an injury or something like that. He's someone that you'll draft. You'll see him run like three routes or not be active in week one, and you'll drop him.
24:08No need to do that, right? He's not going to break out in week one. Uh this last pick should be someone who has that
24:13chance, right? Terrance Ferguson, Jayden Blue.
24:16Booty, if you want to hold on to him and see if he's traded or something like that. I don't think he's going to
24:19surprise us in week one if he's on the Patriots, but if he's traded. Uh Zachariah Branch, Cyrus Allen, like players who we could go out there in
24:26week one and be like, "Holy cow, Cyrus Allen just ran a route on 60% of dropbacks and got seven targets." Number
24:32one claim, right? Like Zachariah Branch went out there and is the number two wide receiver on this team, looks explosive, looks like their next Tank
24:40Dell or something like that. Top waiver claim, right? Jayden Blue actually is going to get 10 touches per week, has to
24:46be fully rostered. Terrance Ferguson got eight targets and Puka's injured again or suspended or something like that.
24:51Like there are paths to all those guys, and many of them go in like the 20th round, so they're always there And the
24:57draft, um draft someone who has a chance of exploding in week one or being much more productive than we thought. Uh that
25:03is not going to be uh Antonio Williams. So, uh let me know who you disagree with the most on my list in
25:09the comment section down below. Again, you can see the live ADPs by site on my website the fantasyfootballadvice.com.
25:16I'll update it every single day, so you can check that before your draft. I definitely would check it the day of
25:21your draft and just see who the best picks are on your platform. There's a premium section at the top, a drop-down
25:27that is going to list the best and worst picks compared to my rankings on every platform. So, if you want to see who are
25:34the best running backs to draft specifically on ESPN or specifically on Sleeper, you can find that in 2 seconds on the website. Again, the
25:41fantasyfootballadvice.com.
25:43Also, drafts are finally starting to happen, a very exciting time of year. Uh you're really going to want to draft with my new custom dynamic rankings. Um
25:51no one has this. No one has a tool like this. Not only are they the custom rankings you can draft with, you can
25:55cross players off as they're drafted, but the rest of the rankings are going to adjust based on every pick that you
26:01make, based on league results from millions of drafts over the last decade.
26:05Again, no one else has this industry. No one probably ever will have it. Uh so, if you want a big advantage, draft with
26:11those. Um also, I posted my full draft guide earlier this week. So, tons of content on the website. Make sure you're
26:17checking that out. Episode got a big upgrade this off-season. All right.
26:21That'll do it for this one. Camp news tomorrow, so make sure you subscribe on both YouTube and Spotify so you don't
26:25miss out on that one. That'll do it for this one. Thank you all for watching.
