Player insights

39

A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury32:00

A.J. Brown is back to practice for the Eagles-Patriots game, suggesting he may be available.

Insight page

Aaron Rodgers

NegativeMatchup27:39

Rodgers has a 79 quarterback rating in his career against Tampa Bay with a pair of three-interception games and seven touchdowns to nine interceptions. He's been absolutely horrendous against man coverage this year, going two of 12 against Dallas's man defense. Under pressure, he has a 30% pressure-to-sack ratio and cannot escape; he's nowhere close to the same quarterback when pressured.

Insight page

Alec Pierce

NegativeInjury62:06

Pierce is out, and there's no downfield passing for the Colts without him. His absence removes a key deep-threat option from the Colts' offense.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveMatchup50:51

Bijan was able to run wild against the Falcons, who match up poorly with the Saints because of their run defense issues and injuries on defense. This demonstrates the Saints' vulnerability to strong running games.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup92:15

Bijan Robinson is a key play against the Bears' defense which cannot stop the run; the Bears' defense is horrendous and was finally exposed last week by the Packers, and they have injuries all over including Montez Sweat's suspension and Ode Yingbo likely out.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection13:00

Bo Nix is playing completely lost against the Seattle defense; only 7% of his passes are deep compared to 12.5% last year; completing just 39% of throws under pressure with a turnover-worthy play rate north of 10% under pressure, tied with Baker Mayfield as the only qualified quarterbacks at that threshold; has been horrendous early in games but better in late-game stretches, suggesting coaching adjustments or simplification may help.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection83:37

Brock Purdy has been incredible; he is the betting favorite for MVP and the 49ers are the betting favorite overall, but he can make mistakes against the blitz and may have an off game against Washington's blitz-heavy defense.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeInjury91:52

Caleb Williams' status is uncertain heading into the Falcons game; there is uncertainty about whether he will play and how healthy he will be, which creates uncertainty favorable to the Falcons moneyline.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

NegativeInjury35:00

DJ Moore's status is uncertain for the Bills-Raiders game; there's a question of whether he will come back from injury.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveMatchup74:00

Dak and the Cowboys offense struggled against the Bucs' man coverage scheme, but this is a buy-low spot against the Packers who have more defensive injuries and will play more zone; the Dallas offense has been shredding zone coverage.

Insight page

Darren Waller

PositiveRole90:03

Darren Waller (Bowers) is part of a potent passing attack for the Raiders; the rushing game leaves a lot to be desired, but the Raiders have a strong passing game with Bowers as a key weapon.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

NegativeInjury84:08

Deebo Samuel is out; the 49ers will be without him for the Commanders game, which is a notable absence from their offensive weapons.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

NegativeMatchup42:45

Watson is dead last in pressure-to-sack ratio and will face a Ravens defense that is elite at defending short passes and familiar with the Munkin scheme. The Browns offense is broken and can't run the ball (dead last in rush success rate), forcing Watson to beat the Ravens defense deep—something this offense cannot do. Watson has only two interceptions but 10 turnover-worthy plays.

Insight page
NegativeUsage45:46

Watson may force things if the Browns running game isn't producing yards on first-down runs, potentially leading to turnovers and red-zone interceptions. The poor run game (56% of runs met at or behind the line) could force Watson into bad decisions.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

NegativeInjury33:30

Garrett Wilson has been dealing with injuries and the Jets have been really banged up at receiver. There's potential for Omar Cooper to come off IR, which could help the Jets' receiving corps alongside Wilson.

Insight page

Geno Smith

NegativeProjection13:00

Geno Smith is completing just 39% of throws under pressure with a turnover-worthy play rate north of 10% under pressure, placing him near the bottom of the league; neither quarterback is playing well in this matchup against top-tier defenses.

Insight page

Jalin Hyatt

NegativeInjury20:00

JSN's banged up ankle is a concern; he did practice but there were maybe some concussion issues to monitor heading into Thursday Night Football.

Insight page

Jalon Daniels

PositiveProjection24:24

Daniels is further along than a typical undrafted rookie quarterback due to extensive college starts; NFL infrastructure has become more college-friendly, and Daniels has shown great composure with the moment never being too big. He's been better than Mayfield in many aspects, with Tampa's offense getting the ball out quicker and relying more on screens and Bucky Irving, providing easy buttons for him.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

NegativeRole50:51

Winston is only good once he gets way behind in games, but the Saints are usually the team that gets way behind. Against the Giants, Winston won't have the opportunity to play from behind, limiting his effectiveness. He's likely to make mistakes in zone coverages.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

PositiveRole14:00

JSN might just make a couple explosive plays, which should be the difference in the Seahawks-Broncos game; he's the primary target for Geno Smith in an offense lacking balance due to Seattle's inability to run the ball; JSN did practice but there were maybe some concussion issues to monitor.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveUsage88:06

Jayden Daniels has been great and is running wild; his rushing prop is a play over at 34.5-35.5 yards as he only knows one way to play and will continue to run despite his left elbow injury concerns.

Insight page

Jordan Love

NegativeProjection79:18

Jordan Love's deep ball performance last week against the Bears was fantastic but not atypical; throwing deep is not out of the ordinary for the Packers offense, though last week was a special performance.

Insight page

Josh Allen

NegativeMatchup35:00

Allen is incredible but faces a difficult situational spot: the Bills are coming off an overtime win in Los Angeles on a short week, staying out on the West Coast to play in Vegas. The Raiders are expected to play a lot of zone and have a spy on Allen. Despite Allen's talent, the Bills' defense is the worst in NFL history for any 4-1 team, making it difficult for them to win by a margin.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeRole65:59

Herbert has been the worst quarterback in the league against the blitz; he has no receivers to throw to because all the receivers are hurt, and the Chargers started four rookies on the offensive line last week with all their offensive linemen injured.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup65:59

Herbert has been the worst quarterback in the league against the blitz. The Chargers' lack of receivers to throw to compounds this weakness, making him vulnerable to aggressive defensive schemes.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeRole20:00

Seattle really missed Kenneth Walker because they just cannot run the ball at all; the lack of rushing attack removes balance from the offense and forces reliance on Geno Smith and JSN in the passing game.

Insight page

Kyle Juszczyk

NegativeInjury84:08

Kyle Juszczyk's status is uncertain; there is a chance he could return but Kyle Pru is not optimistic about his availability for the 49ers-Commanders game.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeInjury41:30

Lamar Jackson did not practice on the day of this podcast and his status for the Ravens-Browns game is uncertain. He is estimated at 40% to play; he could skip practice and still play Friday or Sunday. The line movement suggests the market is starting to think Lamar will play, with the line at 5.5 suggesting a hedged scenario.

Insight page
NegativeProjection42:30

If Lamar Jackson plays, the under at 43 is still reasonable, though Kyle Pru would prefer a better price. If Tyler Huntley plays instead, the total should be under 40 because Huntley doesn't throw it deep like Lamar and isn't as electric of a runner.

Insight page
NegativeInjury45:06

If Lamar plays, he might not be 100% healthy, which means his mobility might not be fully there. This reduced mobility takes away what he's probably best at, making him less effective even if he does play.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

PositiveMatchup93:41

Marcus Mariota has a favorable matchup against the Bears' defense which cannot get pressure without their two starting defensive ends; there is a large disparity in Mariota's performance when pressured versus when he is not.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeUsage41:00

Andrews had a poor performance in the Ravens' comeback win over Dallas, posting a minus-13 rating. He dropped a touchdown, fumbled resulting in a fumble return for a touchdown, dropped a two-point conversion, and had another third-down drop, though the Ravens overcame his miscues.

Insight page

Mason Taylor

PositiveInjury32:00

Mason Taylor is back for the Eagles-Patriots game, providing depth at tight end for the Eagles.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

PositiveProjection11:00

Matthew Stafford was 40 of 54, moving the ball at will against the Bills' horrible defense; the Rams offense is moving the ball effectively and should not be left to rely on kicker from 48 yards out in close games.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeInjury75:18

Saquon Barkley is hurt; the Eagles' offensive line is in shambles with Smith also hurt, and the offense is not working schematically with 30% of their runs stuffed (dead last in the NFL).

Insight page

Snoop Conner

PositiveUsage41:00

Snoop Conner was great down the stretch in the Ravens' comeback win over Dallas.

Insight page

Spencer Brown

NegativeInjury35:00

Spencer Brown, the Bills' right tackle, has an injury status worth monitoring for the Bills-Raiders game.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeInjury86:45

Stefon Diggs' status is uncertain heading into the 49ers game; his availability is a key needle mover for the Washington offense against San Francisco's defense.

Insight page

Tyler Huntley

NegativeRole43:45

Huntley doesn't throw the ball deep like Lamar; everything is short slants with fewer explosive plays. This condensed passing game means fewer electric runs and deep throws to receivers like Flowers, resulting in a more ground-focused, short-passing Ravens offense that should produce lower scoring.

2:49This is the Week 6 NFL betting preview. I'm Stucky.
2:52Joining me today, as always, my fellow co-host, the one and only Doug Kazarian, and also the faceless, Evan Abrams, who will
2:59be chiming in with his favorite bet in just a moment and dropping some valuable nuggets throughout the show.
3:06As always, we will get to every single game on the slate.
3:10We will build our contest picks, which is our five favorite bets based on current lines.
3:15And we'll make it a six-pack by throwing in Evan's favorite bet.
3:19Doug, last week, six-pack. Last week, our contest picks went three and two.
3:23I caused this a four and one. I swapped out the Jets for the Seahawks, who just – I still don't know
3:31what they were doing at the end of the first half.
3:34I mean – At the one-yard line. There were some bizarre – it was probably one of the worst.
3:41It's been a bad officiating year, but last week was just mirrored by the worst coaching weekend, I think, in NFL history.
3:48I mean, you can go to the end of the Commanders game, which is, I mean, an unprecedented finish.
3:55You could go to the Eagles, not kicking out of bounds, losing a game where they led, kicking it off with eight seconds.
4:02The other team doesn't have timeouts. You could – and then I think, to top it all off, the Rams, one of
4:10the worst coached games in this season. I mean, from not ever adjusting on defense and spying Allen and just sitting in
4:17man on every second and third long, letting him run 18, 20 yards for a first down.
4:23It's like, hey, you might have thought he was banged up and couldn't run.
4:27Well, once you saw that he could run and scramble, you might want to change up your game plan.
4:34And then, I mean, you have the worst special teams in the league.
4:38You start off the game giving up a 60-yard kick return, a negative three-yard drive that results in a field goal.
4:45You miss a field goal the next drive. And then, at the end of the game, you are carving up this Bills
4:52defense that's, again, sometimes has 10 men on the field again.
4:56And you completely turtle and leave it up to your kicker, who already missed a 49-yarder, to kick a 49-yarder.
5:03And, of course, you get it blocked. And then, the Bills, with two minutes to go, they don't even run out the clock.
5:10They just say, hey, we're going to kick a 45-yarder.
5:14The Rams had no timeouts. You've got to just sneak it a couple more times.
5:19You can get a little closer, and you run out the clock.
5:23And, worst-case scenario, you tie. The coaching across the board was so bad.
5:27Todd Bowles going for – I don't care what I'm going to say.
5:31You go up 17 there every time. I'm all for, you know, put it away, go for a touchdown.
5:38At the one – you go up three scores with whatever, six minutes to go, you win the game.
5:44And then, Dallas going for two down 14. I see that sometimes, but not when you're the home favorite of nine points.
5:51The coaching was so bad. So, I was going to say, like, let's not forget, it feels like an eternity ago, but that Thursday night game, right?
6:00The Bulls, the other stuff. I've never seen so many fireball offenses by coaches.
6:05That's basic stuff, right? Going up 17 was just a no-brainer with eight and a half to go.
6:11Now, if you get to, like, 10 and a half, 11, maybe not.
6:15So, it's at least defensible, right? It's not fireball.
6:18It's stupid. Don't get me wrong, but the other stuff later throughout the week is certainly fireable.
6:24I mean, what Dan Quinn did and everything. Now, I have a feeling it's more on Jaden Daniels.
6:30There's only so much a head coach can do.
6:33But it's crazy that he was trying to burn every last second instead of kicking it, whereas we saw Brady on Monday night kick it.
6:42And it's just funny. Like, some of the Bills fans are doing a victory lapse, calling me an idiot, calling me a nerd.
6:49So, well, he had confidence in his kicker. It's like, what about a bobbled snap?
6:54First of all, I think there's been three in the last, like, 50 years or something bobbles.
7:00But, like, wait until third down. Yeah, you can do that on third down.
7:05Just the amount versus, like, how easy it is for these offenses to gain 30 yards and get a field goal attempt.
7:12It's just insane. And it just shows you they've either never played Madden, but ultimately I just don't think they're that smart.
7:19Like, let's, like, the Sean McVay thing. Like, people are in love with him because he's, like, seems like a cool guy.
7:27And he has a great memory during, like, preseason games.
7:30He recalls, like, what, plays from, like, 10 years earlier?
7:33Like, that makes him smart across all things? No.
7:36Just means he's, like, immersed in football and remembers things.
7:40But it doesn't mean he knows what he's doing with game situations.
7:44Because this isn't the first time, Stuck. Like, that's the problem with this.
7:48These coaches repeatedly make these mistakes. And it's so basic.
7:51Like, I don't understand how they can visualize certain plays and read defenses and do stuff that I deem very complicated.
7:58And then not be able to do stuff that's pretty basic.
8:02And I've thought about this for a long time.
8:05I think it is we as gamblers have just watched more football.
8:09We watch a million games. They don't. They watch one live, and then they watch it again the next day.
8:16Like, a college football coach watches it live Saturday and then watches the replay on Sunday.
8:21And also, I think it goes back to, like, the Belichick thing of do your job.
8:26A lot of these coaches came up through football and were assignment football.
8:31Like, just do your job. You're, like, a corner.
8:34Just worry about this. You know, the quarterback obviously sees more and has to be more involved and engage into some of the game management.
8:42But a lot of these guys just – we as teenagers were more involved with strategy as video game players than they were playing football.
8:50Now, the technique of certain things in football, obviously, they know more than I do.
8:56But honestly, like, I'm brighter than most of these guys in general.
9:00Like, I understand this stuff better. I'm better at math.
9:03Like, I just don't think these are football-related things.
9:06These are math things. And that's why I think there's been such – and they got a lot going on, right?
9:13They got a lot in the headset, short time.
9:16You know, so it's just not second nature to them, and they can't figure it out.
9:21And, again, I've thought about this a great – like, the third thing is, like, a lot of these guys are, like,
9:29coaches' sons, like the hardballs and stuff. So they learn to do things in ways that have become so antiquated.
9:35And it just – you can't teach an old dog new tricks because they learn from their father.
9:41They're so immersed in, like, play – just play design and X's and O's.
9:46And, like, I could manage all these late-game scenarios all at once on a college football Saturday while drinking or on an NFL Sunday.
9:54All of them. And – We've watched a million more games.
9:58I mean, that's the other thing. Yeah, we've watched a million more games.
10:02As gamblers, as live bettors. And we think about it like that.
10:06We think about, okay, we got to get to the 10-minute warning.
10:10And we're like, oh, shit, if they don't – if they snap this, they're going to get an extra play.
10:17And then we're thinking about all this stuff. So the easy solution is you get a guy, right?
10:23You have a guy that's in your headset. And I don't know if it's just ego or what where McVay doesn't want to do that.
10:31But he's a brilliant offensive mind. He's a great head coach.
10:35My players love him. He's one of the best offensive minds in the NFL.
10:39But he's always been a horrible game manager, struggles sometimes with clock management.
10:44And they just ignore their special teams. It was the worst in the league last year.
10:49It's historically bad so far this year. But if you're going to do that, you've got to at least be aware of it.
10:57And when you are moving up – when Stafford is 40 of 54, moving the ball at will against this horrible Bills
11:04defense, you cannot leave it in your kicker's hands from 48 out.
11:08I mean, it's just asinine. So anyway – Well, I think some teams do have like an expert, a math expert.
11:15Yeah, some teams do. Every team should – But they don't listen to them all the time.
11:21That's the other problem. Yeah. Even if you don't want to listen to them, fine.
11:26Then you're going to have to pay the consequences.
11:29But at least have someone who tells you, okay, this is what you need to do.
11:34So at least you have at least an idea.
11:37Crazy. All right. Let's get into the game starting with Thursday Night Football.
11:42But before we do, a word about the king of sportsbooks, DraftKings.

12:16Spend $5 to get 200 in total rewards. That's code ACTIONNETWORK.
12:20Download the DraftKings Sports app and keep football at your fingertips all season long.
12:25DraftKings, the crown is yours. All right. Let's start things off with Thursday Night Football between the Seahawks and the Broncos.
12:32Seahawks at two and a half point. Road favorite total down to 40 and a half.
12:37Thursday Night Football. Seen under money come in, which I think makes sense.
12:41This is, I think, open 42 and a half is down across a key.
12:46Some a key of 42 and a key of 41.
12:49And we've seen this number go from two and a half up to three.
12:54And then we've seen some Denver money come in at three.
12:58Now we're back to two and a half. Can see us bouncing back and forth.
13:03I do think the under makes sense given both of these offenses are really struggling.
13:08Bottom eight in EPA per play when you remove garbage time.
13:11Seattle can't run the ball. Neither quarterback is playing well.
13:15I mean, Nix is not even throwing it deep.
13:187% of his passes are deep. 12 and a half percent last year.
13:22Both of these quarterbacks are completing 39% of their throws under pressure.
13:26That's near the bottom of the league with a turnover worthy play rate north of 10% under pressure.
13:32The only other qualified quarterback that's north of 10% is Baker Mayfield.
13:36Now you're going up against two top tier defenses.
13:39It's not going to be easy for either offense.
13:42The Seattle defense, still dominant. They've been very unlucky in the red zone.
13:46They have the highest red zone touchdown rate allowed in the league, even though teams are getting there at the lowest rate in the league.
13:55So I'd expect that the correct course. You have the Payton versus McDonald.
13:59They accused them of cheating. So you've got that storyline.
14:03The difference might be no Hufanga, no Sertan, maybe no Moss.
14:06No Hufanga is going to hurt against the heavy personnel sets.
14:10JSN might just make a couple explosive plays, which should be the difference.
14:14Although it is a short week in Denver off of a brutal loss against San Francisco.
14:20But Seattle has traveled well under McDonald. And Denver has played a tough schedule, although the offense has just broken.
14:26I mean, last week against the Chargers, 224 total yards.
14:30So this is a tough one. I think we had low totals have been going under.
14:35High totals have been going over. And dogs in primetime are on quite a run.
14:40Evan, you got anything on either one of those?
14:43Yeah, underdogs. Seven straight outright in primetime at night.
14:46Nine straight, depending on that. Broncos, Rams close. So favorites, four and 12 ATS in nine games this year.
14:52Worst start ever. Been really, really bad. And yeah, low totals, definitely under 47.
14:57It's like 32 and 22. Yeah, and really high totals are skying over.
15:01What was that? 18 and 7 to the over.
15:04Wow. 47 and up. So I think the under makes sense.
15:08A lot of the value has been sucked out at 40 and a half.
15:13Because the only thing I would worry about is both of these quarterbacks are turnover prone.
15:18So you could get some short fields against these defenses that are going to bring pressure.
15:23Do you prefer first half unders in these situations?
15:26Typically, I do. Because the defense is revved up.
15:29The offense doesn't want their quarterback to screw up.
15:32So they're going to be conservative and punt. Like the coaches are going to put the ball in the defense's hand, so to speak.
15:40And you don't get the reckless play in the fourth quarter if they're down two scores, things like that.
15:47Or going for it at midfield. So that's why I usually need sort of expected rock fights.
15:52I really like first half unders. Yeah. The only thing I would worry about is like the...
15:58I don't mind like splitting it up. I would worry about like the script.
16:03If they're better in the script and then that the game just dies.
16:07But Bronco... So the under makes sense. Bronco's teaser piece I think makes sense.
16:12Low total. You can tease it from two and a half to eight and a half.
16:17I kind of lean Seattle under three. So I'm going to get a little crazy here.
16:22I hate Thursday Night Football. But a couple... I'm going to bet both of these small.
16:28But Seattle margin of victory. 1-6 is about 3-1.
16:31And 7-12 about plus 470. So I'm going to play both of those.
16:35Seattle wins basically between 1 and 12. Getting it around plus 350 averaged out.
16:40But... Yeah. So I think under makes sense. I kind of like Seattle.
16:44I just think the loss of Hufanga and Sertan.
16:47You'll get a couple of explosives from JSN you can throw to your tight ends.
16:52So I trust the Seattle offense a little more.
16:55Just do not trust this Denver offense right now.
16:58Especially against the Seattle defense. Knicks is just playing completely lost.
17:02But Bronco's teaser piece also makes sense. So put it all together.
17:06Seattle by 1-12. But I don't love anything here.
17:09This is a tough game. What are you seeing, Doug?
17:12Yeah. I think it's pretty... We have enough evidence now.
17:16You know, week six. We kind of know these teams a little bit by now.
17:21It's Occam's razor with both teams. It's not the play calling.
17:24Sean Payton didn't solve much. It's the quarterback play.
17:27Now, Bo Nix has been better in certain stretches in the second half here and there.
17:33It's another reason why I was looking at the first half under.
17:37That's a good point. I mean, Nix seems to just like his best attribute is he's like very good late in the game.
17:44And he's been horrendous early in the game. I mean, even last week, they needed, what, 13 straight points in the fourth quarter?
17:52Right. And that could be just coaching. Honestly, it could be just Payton figuring out what the other team's trying to do.
17:59Be like, look, here's what's going on. Just compartmentalize.
18:02This is what you need. Your first read here, your second read, and then be done with it.
18:08Or run. It could be just simplifying matters in a lot of ways.
18:13I always bring this up, and I think it's important to remember.
18:17In the Rose Bowl last year, Zignetti against Alabama.
18:20First possession, Indiana goes three and out. It was a run up the middle, stuffed, and then two rollouts by Mendoza.
18:27And he just falls down because he didn't really – his arm was sort of vulnerable.
18:32He didn't want to throw it away. And then they punted.
18:36And Zignetti's like, hmm, okay. And he just changed the blocking schemes.
18:40And then Mendoza just had this super clean pocket the rest of the game.
18:44And then he's like wide open guys. So certain times, coaches just make adjustments.
18:49And then if you can do it in college, it's just much more visible.
18:54But back to this game, like, obviously they missed Kubiak.
18:57And Darnold's not the same. He's been just not good.
19:00So I don't know what to make of Seattle.
19:03They just don't look the same. We talked about it at the beginning of the season.
19:09I think week two, we brought up his 17-4-1 ATS mark.
19:13There had to be regression at some point. And I think we're seeing that.
19:17And now that they've suffered that first loss, which I think is a good thing.
19:22I mean, you can't just keep winning every game and run the table and expect to win another Super Bowl.
19:29So maybe this is a bad way. I mean, they lost to Washington, remember?
19:34Oh, that's right. But that was like a game that kind of was wonky with the stats, right?
19:40Yeah, they dominated that game statistically. Yeah. I mean, this was obviously some crazy plays, too.
19:45You mentioned the end of the first half. I just think it's a game I can't bet on because I don't trust either offense.
19:53Hell, 70-1, no touchdowns. Interesting. It's sort of low, though, for no touchdown whatsoever.
19:58But JSN's banged up ankle. He did practice. But there were maybe some concussion issues.
20:03And without him, and then their running game stinks.
20:06So I don't know what to make of this Seattle team.
20:09I love McDonald defensively. That goes without saying. But each team's deeply flawed by their standards, of course.
20:15Yeah. The Seattle lack of rush. They really missed Kenneth Walker because they just cannot run it at all.
20:22So there's just no balance. And then you just pressure Darnold.
20:25And he's basically just looking to JSN right now and nothing else.
20:29And their offense needs a lot of fixing. Evan, you see anything on Thursday night?
20:34Kind of the numbers you've already said. Denver good at home.
20:38But in this situation with the injuries, it's just kind of impossible.
20:42Because you can kind of throw in the numbers all out the window if Denver can't make a stop with half their secondary banged up.
20:50So just too difficult to look at. But like you said, the underdog thing is the thing everyone's going to talk about.
20:58Good stuff there. All right. All right. Let's move on to our first round of favorite bets.
21:03It's another fabulous weekend. And let's check out the marquee matchups we'll all end up betting for week six.
21:10Doug, who are you wrong with? Chalk and then Chalk are my two favorite plays.
21:15We'll start with the Rams. Biggest number on the board.
21:18It's 12 and a half. I get it. You don't want to make a habit of laying double digits in the NFL.
21:25But there has been some money that's come in on the Rams.
21:29I agree with it. This Arizona team, you know, showed us, kind of made us reevaluate them after their opening week, season opening win.
21:37But that was more of just the Chargers aren't what we thought they were.
21:42And this Arizona team's just not up to snuff.
21:45And I think this is a good bounce back spot for L.A.
21:49Now, I was on the Rams on Monday night as well.
21:53And I ate it. And it could conceivably be a sleepy spot just because they've had some big games and they lost Jackson.
22:01They're left tackle for suspended for two games for throwing a punch afterwards on the field.
22:06I still think this has blowout written all over it.
22:09Arizona can do some things, but we just saw what the Lions did to Arizona.
22:14And that big thing, like a lot of the angles coming into that game.
22:19And I remember I was on the Lions to maybe pull off the upset.
22:24Sorry, the Arizona. Just like getting pressure on Brissette without having to blitz.
22:28And I think the Rams can do that. And the Rams just had a ridiculously difficult schedule.
22:34So I think this is a get right spot.
22:37They can blow them out here. As much as we were bashing McVay, and rightfully so, I'm laying it with the Rams here.
22:44Sometimes there's spots in the season. And I just think this is one of them where they get sort of get right.
22:52Yeah. One of the biggest things is that, I mean, the Cardinals who they have their offensive line injuries now are catching up to them.
23:00Brissette under pressure is just not the same quarterback.
23:03The Rams should be able to get pressure here.
23:06And this is a Cardinals team that has lost by 24 when they stepped up in class twice this year against the Seahawks and the Lions.
23:15And both of those games were at home. Now you have offensive line injuries.
23:19And this Rams team, McVay, absolutely. There's an NFC West circle of life as far as like which teams own the others.
23:27And McVay absolutely owns the Cardinals. He is 14-4-1 against the spread.
23:3116-3 straight up. Both of those are the best against any opponent from any one coach in the Super Bowl era.
23:38So he has owned the Cardinals. And you would hope with their special teams issues, maybe they can make a kick this week.
23:45But I would hope they just be more aggressive.
23:48Right? The week after he got all that shit.
23:51So fourth downs, go for it. Be a little bit more aggressive.
23:55It's hard to see the Cardinals getting any stops.
23:58And with the Cardinals offensive line injuries, it's going to be tough sledding for Bursette and company.
24:04Main thing you got to worry about here, backdoor.
24:07Backdoor. Which is always a concern with Bursette and the Cardinals.
24:11But there are advantages. Arizona also could be just demoralized right now, this juncture too.
24:16And by the way, for what it's worth, Jeremiah Loved in practice today.
24:20I mean, he's, you know, certain things like that too.
24:24Like game breakers that can disrupt things. He's one guy that would concern me a little bit.
24:29Yeah. I'm going to go with the Tampa Bay Bucs plus two and a half, we'll call it.
24:35I'm waiting to see if a three, even if it's a juice three ever pops.
24:40But I'm okay with two and a half. There's a chance that Daniels just, you know, the more you see him, he just completely melts down.
24:49Or you see that sometimes with backup quarterbacks. But I thought, I think he's been better than Mayfield in a lot of aspects.
24:57And they've changed their offense. They're getting the ball out quicker.
25:00They're not throwing it as deep. There's a lot of easy buttons for him.
25:05There's going to be more screens. You're relying more on Bucky Irving.
25:09The pass protection's actually been pretty good here. And I just want to sell this Steelers team.
25:15I had the Steelers last week. It was my favorite bet.
25:18They cashed with ease. But I think that had more to do with the Colts.
25:23And the Steelers were in a great spot, right?
25:26Home game against a team coming back from overseas.
25:29And the Steelers, excuse me, the Colts can't get pressure.
25:33They're not blitzing. They have no downfield passing attack with their injuries at quarterback.
25:37Daniel Jones is immobile. But watching that and their defense is just horrendous.
25:42Conversely, the Bucs defense, the Bucs have played a much tougher schedule.
25:46The Bucs defense I have as top five adjusted for opponent this year.
25:50Without Antoine Winfield, we saw them up the man rates against Dak Prescott.
25:54Dak Prescott, I think, went two of 12 against their man defense.
25:58And Aaron Rodgers has been absolutely horrendous against man this year.
26:02The Steelers are not going to be able to run on Tampa, one of the best run defenses in the NFL.
26:09That is going to hurt the play action. And it's going to lead to more third downs in known passing situations.
26:16That's when Bowles is going to bring the blitz.
26:19Rodgers can't escape. He is just nowhere close to the same quarterback under pressure.
26:24And this Steelers team is completing 43% of their passes on third downs.
26:28That is dead last in the NFL. When their run game is going, it's feeding into the play action.
26:34And they're fourth in EPA per play when using play action, but 30th without play action.
26:40I think they're going to be forced to throw in known passing downs on third downs.
26:45Bowles is going to bring the blitz, get to Rodgers, who has, I think, a 30% pressure to sack ratio when blitz.
26:53So he just has no way to escape, right?
26:56He's just diving down. He doesn't want to get hit.
26:59And this Steelers defense, they're banged up in the secondary.
27:02Now, maybe they get Jamel Dean. Maybe they get Deshaun Elliott back.
27:06That would certainly help. But they're not getting the same amount of pressure as they usually do.
27:12I watched that game against the Colts last week.
27:15They were getting no pressure on Daniel Jones. They had a 20% pressure rate against the Browns the week before.
27:22That is pathetically low. And then next week, you saw the Browns go up eight sacks at the Jets.
27:28So I think Daniels can do enough here. I think there's value in this number.
27:33It's a great teaser piece as well. Well, Rodgers, for whatever reason, has really struggled in Tampa historically.
27:3979 quarterback rating, a pair of three interception games, seven touchdowns, nine interceptions in his career.
27:44There are wins. I think that helps. Tampa is not really going to throw it deep with Jalen Daniels.
27:51It's going to be more short running. And I think they're going to have more success running the ball.
27:57The mobile quarterback, a team that's been snakebit. Pretty unlucky all year, removing that Dallas game.
28:02But now you go from getting the Steelers in a great spot to Tampa in a great spot.
28:08Extra rest at home versus the Steelers, who just benefited from playing the Browns.
28:13And then long rest versus a team coming back from London in the Colts at home, who they just match up really well against.
28:21So I like Tampa here, plus two and a half.
28:24Haven't locked it in. We're going to lock it in for the contest.
28:29Haven't locked it in yet. I'm going to see if maybe some injury news for the Steelers pushes us out to a three.
28:36But I will be on the Bucs if it never gets there regardless.
28:41So give me Tampa. Any thoughts here, Doug? Yeah, I don't know if we're going to get the three because I know
28:48sharp money came in at plus three and the market moved back.
28:52I agree with you on the side. I think it's the right side, the right teaser leg as well.
28:58Now, Rodgers has been good, like you mentioned. Three touchdown passes in three straight games.
29:03But it's because the O-line has kept him clean.
29:06When he's pressured, like the New England game, he's terrible.
29:10And I think the Bucs can do that. You mentioned the Bucs.
29:14Yeah, that was their first win. But very unlucky throughout the first couple weeks.
29:18They have enough pieces. And I thought Herbstreit did a nice job on that Thursday night broadcast just explaining that Daniels is
29:26so much further along than a typical undrafted rookie quarterback.
29:29Having all those starts under his belt. Yes, college is different than the NFL.
29:34But it's a combination of college offenses being more advanced, but also NFL infrastructure of offenses being college friendly or spread friendly.
29:41So these quarterbacks have become more acclimated as rookie QBs.
29:45And I thought he showed great composure. The moment was never too big.
29:49Yeah, I mean, obviously in the fourth quarter there was some, you know, he had the pick six that was dropped and things.
29:57But that happens to veteran quarterbacks. I was impressed with how Tampa played, all things considered.
30:02Yes, Dallas kind of went through the motions. And I felt Dallas lost that game more than Tampa won.
30:08But still, no problem backing this at home. Typically, rookie quarterbacks are way better to back at home.
30:14And maybe Evan has a stat on that. But I couldn't lay the points with Pittsburgh.
30:20It's a little bit of, we know who Pittsburgh is.
30:23And I think this is like a good team should be laying two and a half on the road here.
30:30Not the Steelers team. Yeah, I have this closer to a pick.
30:34So happy to back the Bucs here. But definitely going to wait to see if it three pops.
30:40And I mean, you look at the Steelers, right?
30:43They, I think they're just a little overvalued in market.
30:46You got to remember, they are three and two.
30:49But their first game of the year came barely, barely, by the way, against Cooper Rush.
30:54Who's statistically the worst quarterback in the league by far so far this year.
30:59They get blown out. Two road games. They get blown out of New England.
31:04They lose at the Browns on a Thursday night.
31:07A rare loss for a team facing a first-time head coach on a short week.
31:12And then, you know, they get the Colts in this dream spot coming back from overseas.
31:17And they have extra rest. You know, their one good performance was at home against Cincy in a coin flip game.
31:24So, and the Bucs have been unlucky. I think the Bucs get this win here at home.
31:30Evan, any thoughts there? And where are you going for your favorite bet of the week?
31:35Yeah, I'll answer Doug's question. So, first-year quarterback against non-first-year quarterback last decade at home.
31:4043.8% straight up. 53% against the spread. And if you look on the road, 26.4% and 50%.
31:46So, you do have a nice 3% delta in ETS last decade.
31:50Not as much as I thought, though. But you'll take it.
31:54Okay. So, my bet this week. And all the bets I liked this week is I was talking to a producer before I got on the show.
32:03It's just like, oh, my God. You get to this time of year.
32:07But we're going to go with the Jets. Jets and Pats, both off wins last week.
32:12You look at the injury report. Not something you absolutely love.
32:16Brees, Mitchell, Sadiq, all probably out. You got Mason Taylor back.
32:20But you look on the other side. Henderson probably out for New England.
32:24A.J. Brown back to practice. We'll see. Will Campbell knee.
32:27We have to see on Carlton Davis and Gonzo.
32:30Gonzo's a go. He's a go. Okay. Plus, the Patriots are banged up on the offensive line.
32:36Now, rookie left tackle. Bren, third string right guard.
32:39My thing is this. Week to week, I always look to fade teams off huge scoring outputs.
32:4545% lifetime. So, that's at least one thing. May coming off like a 99 percentile game.
32:50Like, hard to really be as good as he was last week against the Raiders.
32:55So, I do think. And the thing that's interesting about the look ahead, it was about eight.
33:01So, it really hasn't budged at all. I do think you're going to get down to seven.
33:06So, I will take the seven and a half.
33:09Here's the thing in terms of the inside the lines.
33:13So, they really have to keep New England's offense on third down on offense.
33:1720th in efficiency. While the Jets defense is eighth.
33:20Same in the red zone. New England offense this year, 18th.
33:24Well, it didn't really need it too much last week.
33:27Jets defense is sixth. And the thing that I think is really the big one with Henderson out.
33:33Their offense, 27th rush success rate. 23rd rush EPA.
33:36I think the Jets can have advantages there. There's just lots of reasons to want New England.
33:42But I think inside the numbers, the Jets at seven and a half is just a good bet.
33:48Yeah. It's seven and a half. I'm probably going to join you.
33:52I was hoping for a little better injury news.
33:55Like, we'll see. There's still some injuries to watch.
33:58But Gonzo's a go. But not getting Mitchell. I hope maybe Sadiq clears.
34:02Because then you can go. That would be nice.
34:05You can go multi-tight ends. Omar Cooper might be coming off IR.
34:09And Garrett Wilson. Because they've been really banged up.
34:12But Parham doesn't look like he's going to go.
34:15But yeah, this is just your classic sell high.
34:18I make this under seven. So the fact that you can get the hook at DraftKings.
34:24Fading a Patriots team. Offensive line injuries. They still might not be fully healthy on defense.
34:29I don't mind this at all. So we'll throw in the Jets plus seven and a half to our six pack.
34:36So we're starting things off with the Bucs plus two and a half.
34:41The Rams minus 12 and a half. And the Jets plus seven and a half.
34:46All right, let's get to our marquee Sunday afternoon game.
34:49Between the Buffalo Bills and the Las Vegas Raiders.
34:52The Buffalo Bills are a five and a half point favorite at DraftKings.
34:56Sky high total of 53 and a half. I'm on the Raiders here.
35:01Reluctantly. First bet I placed this week. And I took some sixes when they were out there.
35:06Still like it at five and a half. Is it scary?
35:10Absolutely. Betting this Raiders defense against Josh Allen. Raiders defense dead last in explosiveness allowed.
35:15Bills the number one most explosive offense. The Raiders allowing 2.7 yards before contact with their rush defense going up against the Bills rush offense.
35:23There's a lot of things to worry about. But I got to play this spot here.
35:29Bills off an overtime game in Los Angeles. Huge win.
35:32Now short week. Defense is on the field forever.
35:35Staying out in the West Coast. Who knows what they'll get into in Vegas.
35:40And playing a Raiders team off of a blowout loss.
35:43Classic buy low sell high. And I just don't.
35:46Like as much as I'm afraid of Josh Allen.
35:49And we'll see if DJ Moore comes back. We'll see if Spencer Brown, their right tackle, plays.
35:55They have some defensive injuries worth monitoring as well.
35:58But as much as I'm afraid of Josh Allen.
36:01I am not afraid of this Bills defense. Which is the worst in NFL history for any 4-1 team.
36:07They have been downright dreadful. By all the metrics.
36:10They're right down there with the Lions and the Cowboys.
36:13Both all those teams are just like electric offenses.
36:16Horrible defenses. So like asking a team like that in a bad situational spot to win by margin is difficult.
36:23And remember, this is a team that is two plays away from being 2-3.
36:28Sorry. Houston drops a wide open interception. Fell into the hands of Lasseter.
36:32He intercepts it 90 out of 100 times. They also didn't recover fumble.
36:36That would have ended the game. And then the Rams, if they just went for it on third down.
36:43But if they just make a field goal, they lose that game too.
36:47And they're 2-3 here. So they're 4-1 with a horrible defense.
36:51I mean, again, they can't cover tight ends. So go ahead, Kirk.
36:55Play action. Feed the tight ends. Throw over the middle of the field.
36:59All these defensive pieces, they just don't fit Leonard's system.
37:03And there's just open space all over the field.
37:06Their run defense has been a lot better than the past defense.
37:10But the Raiders can't run the ball anyway. So it kind of neutralizes that strength.
37:15So I think the Raiders can keep up here.
37:18This is a terrible spot for the Bills. Buy low, sell high.
37:22It's my main mentality in the NFL when I'm betting it.
37:25So we're going to go with the Las Vegas Raiders here.
37:29Hopefully, the Bills are getting into some shenanigans in Sin City.
37:33Doug, do you have the stones to play the Raiders?
37:36Yeah, you mentioned the travel schedule. So they're going to Irvine until today or maybe Thursday and then to Vegas.
37:43And I don't think it's going to be a case where like Des was or whoever was, C.D.
37:49Lamb was throwing up. Right? Remember the Cowboys destroyed the Raiders on a Monday night, but it was like they were throwing up.
37:56They were like missed curfew that night, throwing up in their hotel room.
38:01But they had big receiving days after the first quarter or something.
38:05I think it was even last year, maybe two years ago.
38:08I think it's just kind of takes its toll on you when you're just on the road that long and you're coming off a hot, big win.
38:17And I don't think they're going to be raging and having the Vegas flu like these Golden Knights opponents did over the years.
38:25That was C.D. and Pickens. Yeah, it was. Yeah, they were.
38:29It was they stayed at Durango or Red Rock.
38:32I forget which hotel. But I just think it's it's just not ideal.
38:36Right. It's not ideal. It doesn't feel like a business trip.
38:40Josh Allen said as much. But even if they're just touring or enjoying the beach or whatever it is they're doing, it can't be a good thing.
38:49You can say it's net zero. That's fine. But it's not a net positive.
38:53I tend to think it's definitely a net negative.
38:56But the Raiders have been frisky this year. Right.
38:59They had some tight games. What they did with that Chiefs game was impressive.
39:04I thought they were never down by more than four points.
39:08The entire way until the very end. They fumbled on the on the kickoff and gave up a next next play touchdown to go down 11.
39:16I think it's the only side you can play.
39:19I cannot understand anyone who lays the points here.
39:22I get it. Josh Allen's incredible. But there's a lot of holes to be laying that kind of lumber off the big win over time.
39:31Short week. Short week. Yeah. It's a travel like how can you not take the points here?
39:37Yeah. And plus Raiders are going to play a lot of zone.
39:41And after what they just saw with Allen, you better believe they're going to have a spy on him.
39:47Now maybe the Bills can just run all over the Raiders.
39:51They're probably going to do so. But I think the Raiders can keep up.
39:55And even if you're down like winning by margin is hard in the NFL.
40:00Even if they're down by 10 late can easily march down the field.
40:04But I think this will be a competitive game.
40:07Can see the Bills coming out flat. Evan, anything on that game?
40:11Just what you kind of mentioned on the overtime.
40:14Road teams coming off OT on short rest. 33% straight up.
40:1840% against the spread since 2000. So just a difficult spot.
40:22I did. I was curious. I looked at teams on short rest going to Vegas since they moved there.
40:28Because I was like, oh, that's just kind of interesting.
40:31They're actually 6-3 straight up. So absolutely nothing. Interesting.
40:34All right. Let's move on to my weekly filibuster on my Baltimore Ravens.
40:39Let the filibustering begin. Big win for you. Haven't lost one of these.
40:43Well, it depends on what the number you got against the Cowboys.
40:47I've pushed that game. No, I'm just saying in general, the comeback win and everything.
40:52The outright win. Yeah, that was massive. Snoop was great down the stretch.
40:56Mark Andrews was not great. They overcame a lot of his miscues.
41:00He was like a minus 13. And again, they were down by like two.
41:05He dropped a touchdown, fumbled. That resulted in a fumble return for a touchdown.
41:10Dropped a two-point conversion. Had another third down drop.
41:13It was incredible. Why did we... Only we could have kept likely instead of Andrews.
41:18But I digress. Ravens, five-and-a-half point favorite at Cleveland.
41:21Total is sitting at 40... Depends on where you look.
41:24But DraftKings, it's 42-and-a-half. Juice to the over. So we have some quarterback uncertainty here.
41:29We don't know if Lamar's going to go. He didn't practice today.
41:33It's still unknown. Now, he could wait. He could not practice and practice Friday and play.
41:38I think he's like 40% to play. So there's also the Munkin familiarity angle.
41:43Both sides, right? Munkin's familiar with some of these.
41:46The defensive personnel. Ravens defense familiar with what Munkin likes to run.
41:50I want the under here. This is kind of a...
41:53This is out to five-and-a-half. Market is starting to think probably Lamar plays.
41:58Like, at four-and-a-half was kind of a hedged line.
42:01If Lamar got ruled out, the line would have dropped.
42:04If Lamar got ruled in, this thing would have trended towards seven-plus.
42:08So we'll see. It'll definitely move once we get official word.
42:12I'm just trying to time it right on the under.
42:15If it's Huntley, this total is way too high.
42:18If it's Lamar, I still don't hate the under at this price, but I think we might get a little better price.
42:26So I'm just trying to time it before the market knows and then when to get in.
42:31But at 43, there's 43s out there. We'll call my official pick this week under 43.
42:37The Browns offense is broken. They can't run the ball.
42:40They're dead last in rush success rate. Watson, you need to beat this Ravens defense deep.
42:45That's kind of been a weakness this year. They're 21st in explosive passing allowed.
42:50That's not going to be this Browns offense. And they're all short passes.
42:54Ravens have been elite defending short passes this year.
42:57They know the Munkin scheme. They know all the bells and whistles that he uses for the short passes.
43:04And Watson's dead last in pressure-to-sack ratio is going to take some killer sacks here.
43:09You just have to hope that he doesn't get too many short fields because he has two interceptions, only two interceptions this
43:16year, but he has 10 turnover-worthy plays. Ravens should get Hendrickson back.
43:20Now, Jacoby Lane might come back. You're going to get Cam Juergens at center.
43:25So we'll see what the offensive line looks like.
43:28And the Ravens should have success running the ball.
43:31Browns can't defend the run. Bottom five in rush success rate and rush EPA.
43:35And you're likely not going to have Schwestinger. You're not going to have Graham.
43:40Probably not going to have Hall. So they're beat up in that interior of the defense.
43:45So the Ravens can lean on their run game here.
43:49And I mention this all the time. Browns unders.
43:52No, it's going to be cold, but I don't think there's going to be too much win.
43:57But Browns home unders. Their defense just plays out of their skull.
44:01They play so much different at home. But Browns home unders since 2003, 109, 77, and 3, 58.6%.
44:07Over 60% to the under in divisional games. I, since I think that if we get Huntley here, this total should be under 40.
44:15And the difference between Huntley and Lamar is obviously Huntley isn't as electric of a runner as Lamar is.
44:22But they just don't throw it deep with Huntley, right?
44:25Everything is short. There's more slants. And he's not throwing the ball.
44:29So there's fewer explosives, which is what you want with an under.
44:33So it's going to be more running, more short passes.
44:37You're not going to get as many electric Lamar runs.
44:40And Lamar throws down the field to Flowers and company.
44:43So this game will be much more condensed. I don't see the Browns doing much.
44:48I think, like, they're sealing here. If it's Huntley, this is, like, 20 to 13 Ravens win.
44:54If it's Lamar, I could see it being, like, 20, 7, 13.
44:58I just don't see this Browns offense doing much against the Ravens defense.
45:02But divisional games can get weird. I'm not looking to lay it.
45:06And if Lamar, also, if Lamar plays and this total goes up a little bit, we don't, he might not be 100%, right?
45:14So his mobility might not be fully there. And Munkin does have some familiarity with Lamar and his tendencies.
45:20And the Browns have seen his speed. So I don't think the Browns defense, although beat up, will be completely lost.
45:27They just play everyone tough at home. So I'm going to go with the under here.
45:33But a lot of quarterback uncertainty with the Ravens makes this tough on a Wednesday.
45:38Doug, do you got anything here? Yeah, I think that's a really sharp angle.
45:42I think the 5.5 could get tricky. I don't love Huntley on the road.
45:47These backup quarterbacks, typically not something you want to run to the window with.
45:52But, I mean, Judkins could be out here. And the Browns running game, you mentioned, has been bad.
45:58I mean, we're talking worse than the NFL. 56% of runs met at or behind the line of scrimmage.
46:04The O-line just isn't there for Cleveland this year.
46:07But the defense will rally around. I just worry about Watson forcing things if they're not getting any yards on first down runs, things like that.
46:16But, I mean, whatever. That's football if he ends up turning the ball over.
46:20He also could throw picks in the red zone, right?
46:24Like, you just – Yeah. Yeah. You can't get too cute with that.
46:28But there's – I would not bet over. Let's put it that way.
46:32But I like – I think the under is a really good play.
46:37Yeah. And it's still midweek. It's going to get colder.
46:40That does usually mean there's wins in that stadium.
46:43I'm not sure if we're going to get wins or not.
46:47But there's a chance. And that certainly would help things.
46:50But, yeah, I think this game will be ugly.
46:53So I will be on the under. I'm just trying to figure out how I want to time it with the news
47:00and trying to figure out where the market's going to go with this.
47:05Like, where I think the market's going to go if Lamar gets announced in or when it's going to start to trickle back down if it is Huntley.
47:14So keep an eye on the award-winning Action Network app.
47:18Evan, you got anything on Browns, Ravens? I mean, I actually kind of like the Browns.
47:23But I only took it because of the number.
47:26And I would honestly wait. I nibbled at five and a half.
47:30But I would hope that Lamar plays. Lamar plays, I'd hope for seven, seven and a half.
47:36And then maybe marry the under with the Browns.
47:39I just think the number would be nice in that spot.
47:42I don't trust Lamar to lay points. And I do think even if he plays, like, he's going to be hobbled.
47:49And that takes away exactly what he's probably the best at.
47:53So I just think I would go with Cleveland.
47:56And I think at home, like you said, the defense points allowed since the start of last year.
48:02You're like 19-8 at home and almost 24 on the road.
48:06Just a different team. Yeah. I mean, if you like the Browns, I mean, we're in a dead zone here at five and a half.
48:14But if Huntley plays and you have some five and a half, you'll have a good number in your pocket.
48:21Now, if he doesn't and it's Lamar, you're not going to have a good number.
48:26So if you are interested in the Browns, you might take some five and a half now.
48:31Wait and then see if you can get seven plus.
48:35I do think it'll be an uglier game. So home divisional dog, buy low, sell high spot, right?
48:41It does make sense in a lot of aspects.
48:44But I'm going – I have no real feel on the side due to the quarterback uncertainty.
48:49I'm going to go with the under. We'll call it under 43.
48:53All right, let's get to our grossest betting game of the week.
48:57What's that smell? It stinks. What do you mean?
49:00It's trash. The sweet, sweet trash. The trash is a gold mine.
49:04Gold mine. And we're going to go to New York between the Giants and the Saints.
49:10Saints opened as an underdog. They are now a one-and-a-half-point home – road favorite in New York.
49:15Look, I bet the Saints here. Look, is it – am I thrilled about – I took them as a dog.
49:22I would still take them cheap money line. Am I thrilled about taking the Saints on the road?
49:28No. Well, but I am itching to fade this Giants team.
49:32They are just – first of all, they cannot run the ball since Dart got hurt.
49:37They're 29th in rush success rate, 29th in rush EPA since losing Dart.
49:42That means they can't exploit the Saints' primary weakness.
49:45Maybe the Saints get a little healthier in defense, which will help this week.
49:50But the Saints' run day is abysmal. I don't think the Giants can fully exploit that.
49:55And then you're going to have Jameis Winston throwing into zone coverages, probably making mistakes.
50:00And this Giants team – first of all, we have a huge strength of schedule disparity here.
50:06Giants have played one of the easiest schedules in the league.
50:09Saints have played a pretty tough schedule. And just look at the last three Giants games since getting blown out by the Rams.
50:17They beat the Titans at home. The Titans are completely incompetent.
50:21The Titans had the ball at the 1 with a chance to win, and Cam Ward, instead of running it in, decided
50:28to throw it right to the Giants. They beat the Cardinals at home, another powerhouse.
50:33The Cardinals beat up, had the ball at the goal line with a chance to win, and threw another pick.
50:40And then last week, against the Commanders, also beat up.
50:43They were getting their doors blown off. And then the Commanders decided to turtle up.
50:48And then we all know what happened. The Commanders should have just kicked the field goal to win.
50:54So this team is somehow 3-1-1. They could easily, easily be 1-4.
50:58And the Saints, on the other hand, I mean, it's looked ugly the past couple of weeks.
51:04But they played the Falcons, who match up so well with them because of their run defense issues, all the injuries on their defense.
51:12They were able to just run. Bijan was able to just run wild.
51:16So then they played the Vikings defense. So now you're getting the Giants defense, which you can attack through the air.
51:23There's no Brian Burns. Shucks should be kept clean here.
51:26I think that's the biggest advantage in this game.
51:29And the Giants are only, like, Winston is only being good once he gets way behind.
51:35Well, that's been, the Saints are usually the team that gets way behind.
51:39That's not going to happen here. So I think the Saints pick up, we're at the bottom of the market on the Saints.
51:47I think they pick up a road win in New York.
51:50Shuck takes advantage of this Giants secondary, lack of pressure.
51:54They might actually be able to get something going on the ground.
51:58Giants won't be able to run it. Winston will make mistakes.
52:01Give me the New Orleans Saints on the road against the Giants.
52:05Evan, you have a stat for this? Yeah, this is ridiculous.
52:09I had to double check this one, but just given the standings and the win percentages.
52:14So the Giants are 3-1-1. Saints are 1-4. New Orleans is a slight road favorite right now.
52:20So in the Super Bowl era, we've never seen a team with a 75% win percentage plus close as a home dog
52:28and their sixth game or later versus a team with a win percentage of 33% or less, which is exactly where it
52:35sits right now, given how ridiculous the last three weeks for the Giants are.
52:40And also, I just love how you say we got to buy low on the Saints and we'll get them as a road favorite.
52:48But you're completely right in that sense. Like, the Giants record is just, it's something we've never seen before, and it should be almost flipped.
52:56It speaks to how tough it is to beat sports betting in 2026.
53:00I haven't bet in the NFL for 20 plus years.
53:0415, 20 years ago, might catch three here on an open.
53:074-1 Giants at home against the 1-4 Saints. Not today, but I think the Saints could go.
53:13Yeah, public money was such a bigger thing two decades ago.
53:17New York, obviously a marquee market. People drinking the Kool-Aid.
53:20This team's got something. Intangibles, all that stuff. Now it's such math models.
53:24Very academic people. Openers are much sharper. Yeah, like yourself.
53:28The market's super tight and they're not going to hang.
53:31They're more aware of the spots, too. Yeah. They're not going to hang numbers.
53:36I'm with you. I think it's interesting. The owner, Gail Benson, calling out the team.
53:41You also have Tyler Shook, who's got a broken something on his left hand.
53:45He's going to wear a glove. It's part of the equation.
53:49So the Saints team hasn't exactly been world beaters.
53:52They can't run the ball at all. But you feel like you know what you have with them a lot better than the Giants.
54:00And Giants have fumbling issues, too, not just bad at running.
54:04I mean, the Giants could have lost at home in back-to-back weeks to the Titans.
54:09I mean, every game. Like, even the Cowboys game.
54:12Scatterbow fumbled. Well, they had dart, too. Yeah, Dad throws a stupid kick.
54:16Yeah. I mean, they didn't stop the Cowboys once.
54:19But the passing attacks that they've faced since, I mean, the commanders carved them up.
54:24But they were beat up at wide receiver. They had all kinds of injuries.
54:29But the commanders were on route to win that game if they didn't just turtle up.
54:34And they still should have won the game. It's the lesser of two evils.
54:39This is basically a 1-14 versus a 1-14. Yeah, New Orleans, the Saints have their issues, too.
54:44So both teams could just lose this game and one loses it more.
54:49And that's ultimately the outcome. But I think you kind of have to bet the Saints here.
54:55But they're still on the road. And they've still got a mess of issues themselves.
55:00Yeah. I'm just going to take – I mean, Chuck's been very good when kept clean.
55:05Very, very good. Yeah. I like their matchup on offense.
55:08Like, this is – I don't think either team's going to have much success running it.
55:14I think Winston is much more likely to make mistakes.
55:17And Chuck is much more likely to move the ball consistently through the air.
55:22So, yeah, give me the Saints against this Giants team that somehow is 3-1-1.
55:26All right. Before we get to our hurry-up offense, I want to remind everyone that BetSync is back in the Action App, and it's better than ever.

62:00All right, let's get to some hurry up offense.
62:03Let's pick up the pace. Hurry this up, please.
62:06Just wanted to make it more exciting. And don't leave out anything.
62:10This one, Tom was putting grossest game of the week.
62:13Colts, seven-point home favorite, total 44. The Colts are broken.
62:16Their defense is bad, and there's holes all over.
62:19There's no downfield passing with no Alec Pierce. Do I want to lay seven with the Colts with all their issues?
62:26No. Do I want to bet the Titans? No.
62:30This is at seven. I think it's the right number.
62:33Pure pass. I said on the Discord, we do a live Discord show.
62:37Myself, Evan, Kerner. Sunday night, we recap all the games.
62:41Do some look-aheads. Talk Sunday night football, Monday night football.
62:44I said, who's betting the Titans at six and a half?
62:48The Titans have been getting money every week, though.
62:51Yeah, it's crazy. They got bet down to six last week.
62:54It's absurd. It was the deadest dog I've seen in a long time that took serious money.
63:00Yeah, I don't know. It was someone with respected money because they move it that much on game day.
63:06It takes a lot. Look, I'm wrong all the time.
63:10But that was it. But this is shades of the Browns team from a decade ago that went 0 and 16 and 17.
63:17Just taking money every week. I don't know. So I said, who's betting the – and then Kerner was like, I might look at seven and a half.
63:27So at six and a half, I just think seven's the right number here.
63:31I got nothing. You got anything here? I could see the allure of the points this week in that situation.
63:38Yeah, they're on the road, but this Colts team's not impressive.
63:42I at least could see it, but not like driving the market Sunday morning, people waiting for big limits.
63:48But for whatever reason, this Titans team is taking money basically every week.
63:52I have no interest in this game, and I hope I see zero of it.
63:57Chiefs, Chargers, the Chargers, man. Eight and a half at DraftKings.
64:01Eight and a half point road dogs at the Chiefs coming off of a bye.
64:06We got to figure out who's going to play for the Chargers on offense and defense.
64:11Tons of injuries. They are completely incompetent. They somehow blow covers every single week in the fourth quarter.
64:17They'll end up going for it at their own 20 and not get it, and the other team scores.
64:24And it's incredible. By the way, going back to the Bills, the Chargers basically played the Bills.
64:29People forget that. That was the only time they kind of looked competent.
64:34I know that they had fills at five turners, but both teams had 350 yards.
64:39Both teams have averaged five and a half yards per play.
64:42The Bills' defense is bad, bad. Like, where's the bottom?
64:46I just don't know if we know where the bottom is with the Chargers.
64:50Do you have some sharp groups that bet this total?
64:54Yeah, I know a big group and a smaller group that each bet the over 42 on this.
65:00You know, the Chargers are probably one of my favorite stats.
65:04They've allowed the most opponent drives starting in plus territory.
65:07Obviously, turnovers, things like that. But they've allowed 18 drives by an opponent starting in positive territory.
65:13The next closest, 11. Wow. Two of them are horrible just saying, F it.
65:17I'm going to go for it. When you didn't really have to.
65:21But you're right about the cover because if the Chargers' defense didn't hold around the 20-yard line and allow a field goal
65:29to make the margin from three to six, a first down in its knees in victory formation, they would have covered plus three and a half.
65:37So it's been a, I mean, the witching hour on steroids in some of these endings for them.
65:43And they've had some bad beats, albeit, you know, that comes with the Chargers' territory.
65:48I mean, there's theories that McDaniels' offense is so complex it takes time for them to adjust.
65:54Eh, I don't know. I think that's a pretty defeated and lost team, all things considered.
65:59You just blitzed them. And Herbert's been the worst quarterback in the league against the Blitz.
66:05Because, number one, he has no receivers to throw.
66:08I mean, all the receivers are hurt. They started four rookies on the offensive line last week.
66:13All their offensive linemen are hurt. So Spag's coming off the bye.
66:17Like, he's going to have to be superhuman. But, like, even when he makes good throws, they drop them.
66:24And their defense has a bunch of injuries on the back end.
66:28Well, and Evan can let us know Andy Reid's record off a bye.
66:32We know that. I mean, I'm not running to bet the Chargers here.
66:36I'll tell you that. Yeah, like, I'm at 6.8, but I'm just, like...
66:41A lot of backups. I don't know if I...
66:44It's hard for me to downgrade a team so aggressive, but I think I might need to.
66:49It's really incredible. They have not covered this year.
66:52Teams, for what it's worth, teams that are 0-5 against the spread.
66:56Since 2013, teams that start 0-5 straight up and are underdogs.
67:00Have a touchdown or more. Or 8-3 against the spread.
67:03That's the Chargers and Titans this week. But, there's trends for everything.
67:07I can give you a trend for the Colts.
67:10Since 2020, NFL teams with a losing record, favored by 7 or more, have gone 7-1 against the spread.
67:17That applies to the Rams and the Colts. So, you could use a trend back to Colts and the Titans this week.
67:24I don't know. I mean, the Chiefs could be healthier this week, too.
67:28Maybe getting Simmons back. Although, they have some questions at wide receiver.
67:33It's just hard to see this Chargers team doing anything functional on offense.
67:37And then, you have this Chiefs offense that now is a running game.
67:41They're doing more stuff under center and play action.
67:44And Mahomes looks better each passing week. I got nothing here.
67:48And then, finally, the Eagles and Panthers. Brutal spot for the Eagles.
67:52Coming across the pond after just heartbreaking loss in the final seconds to the Jags.
67:57Getting a Panthers team off of a bye. And a Panthers team that should be healthier.
68:02Now, they still don't have their corners. But, does that matter against the Eagles?
68:07The Panthers should get Coker back. They might get Moton back along the offensive line.
68:12Some of their defensive players, other defensive players back.
68:15And the Eagles, it's just like, who's playing? On the offensive line?
68:19Who's retiring this week? Is Smith and Barkley playing?
68:22There's, I mean, they've just been so incompetent. And it hasn't even reflected in their final scores.
68:28Like, they were close against the Rams. They were close against the Jags.
68:32But they got statistically dominated in those games. They almost lost to the Titans, remember.
68:37They needed a last-second drive to beat the Titans.
68:40They were destroyed by Case Keenum. It's a flawed team across the board.
68:44I mean, they've allowed a 50% pressure rate. That's third highest of any team through five weeks over the past 10 years.
68:5230% of their runs have been stuffed. That's dead last in the NFL.
68:56The offense is not working schematically. Their offensive lines are in shambles.
69:00Smith is hurt. Barkley's hurt. Defense isn't fully healthy.
69:03The trust. But, like, this number. Man, is this rock?
69:06You could argue this is rock bottom for the Eagles, who are now an underdog.
69:11A home dog. But the spot screams Carolina. Yeah, but Panthers off a bye and getting healthier.
69:17The trust rode Bryce Young. Philly, London, all that.
69:20Emotional ending. Three straight losses. The spot alone, I have to play Carolina or nothing.
69:25I can't put my hard-earned money on the Eagles right now.
69:29Evan, you got anything on any of the games we just mentioned?
69:33The Eagles one's crazy. So, they're 0-3 against the spread this season when getting majority ticket support, according to action data.
69:40Only team in the NFL 0-3 or worse. So, betters have no idea how to handle them.
69:45And right now, they're at 55%. It's Wednesday. Anything can happen.
69:49But, at this rate, getting to the underdog spot with them is just insane.
69:54The one thing I will say, and this is so Nick Sirianni.
69:58So, Nick Sirianni teams have struggled versus opponents on extended prep time.
70:02Philly is 9-15-1 ATS under Sirianni when their opponent's over a full-week rest.
70:06Which is just... And they're 8-15 ATS in those games in the second half.
70:11So, something just falls apart. I can't back Philly.
70:14All right, let's move on to Sunday Night Football.
70:17Got a good one between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers.
70:21Packers 1-1⁄2 point home favorite total. High, as you would expect.
70:2553-1⁄2. I kind of like Dallas here. But, I mean, I think the number is fine.
70:30I think, even though the total's high, you're not supposed to do this.
70:34I like the Cowboys as a teaser piece. Dak and that offense really struggled against the Bucs.
70:40Bowles had them in a blender. They upped their man rates.
70:44I also just think it was... The Cowboys were flat.
70:47It was their third game in 12 days. We talked about it.
70:51It's a tough spot. They went from... Massive win.
70:54Yeah. They went from Brazil to Houston. Third game in 12 days against the Bucs.
70:59Desperate Bucs team. And, you know, they turned it over three times.
71:03The Packers have more defensive injuries. I don't think they're going to get pressure.
71:08They're going to play more zone. The Dallas offense has been shredding zone.
71:12So, I think that this is a good buy low spot on the Cowboys.
71:17And it's a decent sell high spot on the Packers who looked incredible last week against the Bears team right for the
71:24pick and starting, you know, Tyson Bajan. With playoff revenge, everything went well.
71:28They were chucking the ball downfield. I still don't like the Packers' defense.
71:33I still don't like their offensive line. They don't have a run game.
71:37They're going to be one-dimensional here. The next factor is the Cowboys hired Mike Pettin as an advisor on the defense.
71:44And I think what that potentially could result in is, like, some more quarters match, some more – they've been playing –
71:51they've been trying to play these complex coverages that just aren't working with the personnel that they have.
71:57But I think if you simplify things, take away the explosive play, which I think they're going to try to do.
72:04And that is what Green Bay needs to hit here.
72:08You don't want to play a ton of man against the Packers.
72:12You don't want to blitz them a ton. I think they're going to simplify things, play more zone, more quarters match, which Pettin has done in the past.
72:21But now Dallas finally has extra rest after that brutal 12-game stretch.
72:25I think they'll move the ball at will on Green Bay.
72:29Now, the Dallas defense is still bad. Green Bay will be able to move it.
72:34They'll hit some explosives. But I don't think they're going to kill Dallas in the run game.
72:40They can't really run it. And so I think Dallas might be able to get one or two more stops.
72:46But, you know, I don't think this line is egregious.
72:50But Lean Dallas – I'm going to have Dallas in a teaser piece.
72:54Doug, what are you seeing here? Anything? Yeah, I'm on the over.
72:58It's hard not to be – it's moved up a little bit.
73:02But you mentioned earlier in the show that all these high totals have all flown over.
73:07I mean, this is kind of like an alt-line situation.
73:11Just have some – ladder it up, right? We talk about ladders with player props.
73:16You could ladder just with the deep threats for both teams.
73:19I mean, obviously, last week Jordan Love and the deep ball was fantastic.
73:24But it's not that out of the ordinary. Obviously, it was a special performance.
73:28But it wasn't atypical them throwing deep. I do think it's interesting with Petten coming in.
73:34On top of that, defensive coordinator – I think Jerry Jones said defensive coordinator Christian Parker would be moving to the coaching
73:41booth on game days, not on the sidelines. And then today, Schottenheimer basically said that hasn't been decided yet.
73:47But – so typical Dallas Cowboys dysfunction. I do think a lot of those issues last week was them going through the
73:55motions and not having a proper mindset into the game.
73:58Although they drove the field – drove down the field right away and went up 7-0.
74:03So who knows? I mean, they turned to have two picked – tipped picks.
74:08They turned it over three times. Yeah, the Ferguson pick.
74:11But they had – they started throwing the slants and started getting – moving the offense.
74:17And the Bucs are competent. They're not your typical winless team, you know, through five weeks or whatever.
74:23So I like the over. I think we see a ridiculous amount of points.
74:27Evan mentioned it last week. They had gone over 10 straight and then they had an under game.
74:33The first half's on a ridiculous run too in terms of the over.
74:38I see we – I can't imagine betting under.
74:41But I do lean Dallas here. I haven't given up on them, but maybe I'm just dumb.
74:46The only thing I would worry about with the over, because both offenses have massive vendors, is if Dallas says, all right,
74:54we're going to play – we're just going to keep everything in front of us after what we saw last week at Green Bay.
75:02So you make Green Bay drive the field. And then Green Bay is going to play a ton of zone.
75:08They can't really stop the run. So Dallas has these long drives, and then you just get a couple red zone stops.
75:16But both offenses should move up and down the field.
75:19I heard some people complaining about Monday Night Football this week with the Rams and Bills, like how it started so slow, things like that.
75:28I don't think that's random or bad coaching. I think a lot of times these offensive-minded approaches sort of want to protect their defenses and preserve their energy.
75:37So they want to be sort of not vanilla on offense, but it's not random.
75:42I think there's a method to the madness and then all hands on deck in the second half and the craziness begins.
75:49I think people forget that while the odds sort of compartmentalize the total, it's like the first half is basically half of
75:57the game and then first quarter based on football numbers.
76:00But I mean, you know, there's like Iowa football during their peak sort of bad offense stretch.
76:06They would have very low scoring first quarter to second quarter because they're doing these stretch handoffs to get the defense going
76:13sideline to sideline, and they were setting up play action as well.
76:17You can't just run play action if you're Iowa, like out of the gates, right?
76:22So they would do these stretch handoffs and play and get down.
76:26They were like great live betting team when they were down 14-0, stuff like that, because they were just setting up the few times they did throw deep.
76:35So it's by design, sometimes these offensive minded coaches are sort of playing it simple early just to keep their defense fresh
76:43and make it so that they don't lose the game on defense, but then all hell can break loose like we saw on Monday night.
76:51By the way, one final note that I wanted to mention with the Bills that I forgot to mention.
76:57We're doing this on Wednesday, so there's still a lot of injury uncertainty.
77:02The Bills have some injury questions on both sides of the ball.
77:06Short week, out on the West Coast, they got a bye next.
77:10So maybe they err on the side of caution with some of these guys, and that helps out the Raiders.
77:16Speaking of injuries, wouldn't be an injury game without the 49ers.
77:20Let's talk some Monday night football. Commanders and 49ers.
77:2349ers are 7.5 point home favorite. The 49ers coming off a huge win against Seattle.
77:28Get their playoff revenge. They improve to 5-0 on the season.
77:32Without a backdoor field goal by the Cardinals, they would be 5-0 against the spread as well.
77:37Purdy has been incredible. The defense looks way better, especially with all the injuries, than anyone could have imagined.
77:44Raheem Morris did an incredible job. Some of their young defensive linemen are playing very well.
77:49Doug, we disagree on this game. Really? Okay. I'll let you make your case first.
77:54You like San Fran to keep it rolling. Well, I do.
77:58I think it's a horrible spot for Washington. Just, obviously, the marathon Monday night.
78:03Excuse me. The overtime going into a game where they just...
78:06Now, Jayden Daniels has been great. And his rushing prop I like over.
78:11I actually had the under last week because I thought he would protect his left elbow just giving Mario...
78:17Damn, he was running wild. He was running wild.
78:20It's like, okay, he only knows one way to play.
78:23So, at 34.5, 35.5, I'd be playing over as well.
78:27I just think it's a really tough spot to ask.
78:30The primetime East Coast teams facing West, now the Bills snapped that skid.
78:34So, maybe it's just... But it had been, what, 10-0-1 ATS, 11-0 straight up.
78:39In theory, you know, the Rams don't shoot themselves in the foot.
78:43Maybe it pushes the three that we talked about at taping a week ago.
78:48Debo's out. It looks like there's a chance that Bosa, Juszczyk are back.
78:52I'm not optimistic. I just think it's a coaching mismatch.
78:55And I did talk to a modeler. He's laughing about this.
78:59But one of his models, he combines a lot.
79:02But made this 18.5, which he was just laughing saying.
79:05He's like, who has that, right? I think it's a great...
79:09Like, the Niners at home. And I think the Niners, despite the injuries, they're kind of fresher.
79:15Like, they have played a relatively easy schedule. Last week was their first true road game.
79:20And yes, some of their numbers are inflated because they get to play Miami at home.
79:25And the Rams jet-lagged Arizona at home. But I don't think much of this Washington team at...
79:31Like, I just think they're beat up. And again, tough spot.
79:35I think Shanahan's going to exploit some weaknesses that other teams have not been able to.
79:40Because they've been really good defending the run. I disagree.
79:43I'm just... There is a lot of thought that I'm watching injury-wise before I enter this market, right?
79:49The San Francisco... They're not going to have Greenlaw.
79:52They have historically much worse without Greenlaw. Especially against the run.
79:56I think that'll hurt against a mobile quarterback as well.
79:59But there's a lot of injuries here. What I want from Washington is Diggs to play.
80:05And then with San Francisco, there's a lot of potential needle movers.
80:09Juszczyk. Bosa. They're not going to have Debo. And there's some other defensive injuries worth watching on both sides.
80:15So, I'm trying to figure out when to enter the market and where this is going to go.
80:21Because I could see this going to 8, 8.5.
80:24And if it does, maybe there's some teaser protection.
80:27Then all of a sudden you're at 9, 9.5.
80:30Maybe you could buy it to 10. I just think we are at the very top of the market on San Francisco.
80:38They've been incredible. I get it. Purdy's been... They're the betting favorite.
80:42Purdy's the favorite, you know. Yeah. Like, this is the top of the market.
80:46They beat... They just got that huge win at Seattle.
80:50Got their playoff revenge. Emotional game. And again, they could have went either way.
80:54I mean, they were gifted 21 points on three drives that totaled 28 yards.
80:59And by the way, I know the San Fran defense has looked incredible.
81:03But their last four games have come against the Cardinals, who put up 30 on them.
81:09The Dolphins, the Broncos, and the Seahawks. We just talked about how broken the Seahawks and Broncos offenses are.
81:15All four of those teams ranked in the bottom eight in the NFL.
81:19And then adjusted EPS. And I think jet-lagged Rams, you have to put with those, too.
81:25Yeah. And then you throw the Rams in. Like, I'm almost like throwing out that game from early in the season.
81:32So, I do think, especially if Diggs plays, Washington can move the ball on them, throw in Daniels' legs.
81:38And Washington's defense has been good against the run.
81:41They're going to blitz a ton. There's some variance there.
81:44But Hurdy, do for just an off game. He can make some mistakes against the blitz.
81:50I just think this is a good sell-high spot on San Francisco.
81:54Maybe come out a little flat after that huge win over Seattle.
81:58Evan, why don't you break the tie? Yeah, I like Washington.
82:01I really like Washington at 18 and a half.
82:04But I'll take Washington at the price I have currently right now.
82:08But, listen, after we just saw in our nation's capital, who actually wants to put stock in this Washington team against the best team in the NFL?
82:17I think people would say that. But I think you talked about the injury situation.
82:22San Francisco defense. I think we get Diggs back as well, which would be nice.
82:27This is an underrated thing. And I know you just mentioned the complete opposite.
82:32So, it really depends on the team. But I do sometimes love buying teams also with rest on the horizon.
82:39And I think Washington can give you a really nice effort here in that primetime San Francisco spot.
82:45Also, you and I would say this over any team, but two teams covering by 10-plus points per game.
82:51I'm sorry, 7-plus points per game right now. 49ers and Jaguars.
82:5528 and 39 against the spread, which is a nice number.
82:59So, high with Washington. That sums up selling high in the NFL.
83:03Turning good weekends into great weekends. It's time for the Moneyline Parlay.
83:07Let's move on to our Moneyline Underdog Parlay presented by DraftKings.
83:10Doug, you've been on fire with these one loss on the season.
83:14Who are you going to throw in here? Yeah, I was excited.
83:18Up 7-0 last week. I was like, could this really?
83:22Can we make this? I'm going to the Raiders.
83:25I made the number like 3, 3-1⁄2. I was pretty stunned at being that high.
83:30I mean, that's kind of a dead zone, 4-5.
83:33But all in all, I think the Raiders have been pretty solid.
83:37Now, that was a tough spot in New England.
83:40I would have been all over the Patriots if they weren't so banged up with Gonzalez and everything.
83:46But that's neither here nor there. I think it's just what we said earlier.
83:50It's a lot to ask Buffalo to stay on the road.
83:54Emotional win. Overtime that basically came down to the end.
83:57So, it's an extra period almost. And it's just draining and takes a lot out of you.
84:03And their defense is really horrendous. And the Raiders with Bowers are a potent passing attack.
84:08The rushing game leaves a lot to be desired.
84:11But a couple things from practice this week with Kubiak talking about he's going to open up some sort of competition, Pete Carroll style, if you will.
84:20And also, he talked about getting Mike Washington involved in the attack.
84:24So, maybe that's some props if you want to go down that route.
84:29But I think some of this stuff is you learn on the job a little bit, first-time head coach.
84:35And I think that's something that maybe could be good moving forward, even short-term for the next week.
84:41Just that Kubiak's learning from some mistakes. But I think this team plays tough at home, man.
84:47I think it's going to be a really tough environment.
84:50Bill's Mafia will be out here and partying and doing all that.
84:54They already are, I think. But I think it'll be a good Raider effort at home.
84:59And I'm going to throw in the Falcons. My biggest regret of the week was not taking the three there.
85:06They've taken some money. They're a one-and-a-half-point underdog now.
85:09I think they're going to close as a favorite.
85:12There's still some uncertainty with Caleb Williams. I think he's going to play.
85:16But we don't know. We don't know how healthy he'll be.
85:20Panics is likely to go now. Panics, I think, is going to go.
85:25But we also don't know if he will have to leave the game or how healthy his ribs are.
85:31So there's a lot of uncertainty, which I like, with the money-line underdog.
85:35But the Bears can't stop the run. Just give it to Bijan.
85:39The Bears' defense. They're in the Bears' offense. Their running backs are beat up.
85:44And the Bears' defense, which is horrendous, and was finally exposed last week by the Packers.
85:49Because the weeks before, they played the Jets, who never had the ball the entire game and had all their injuries on offense.
85:57The Eagles, who are completely broken. The Vikings' offense, completely broken in a storm.
86:02Remember, they got destroyed by Carolina in week one.
86:05But now the Bad Bears' defense has injuries all over.
86:08We already know their secondary is beat up. But Montez Sweat is now suspended.
86:13Ode Yingbo probably is not going to go. Like, how are they going to get pressure?
86:18They can't cover anyone. They can't stop the run.
86:21I don't know. If it's healthy Panics versus healthy Caleb, I think that the Falcons should be favored here, given all the Bears' injuries.
86:29And there's no reason why the Falcons – this is a coin flip game at worst.
86:34So, yeah, give me Atlanta at home. I know they're miserable against the spread.
86:39They never cover at home, seemingly. Well, you throw out the first two games, like you said.
86:45And also Panics. I mean, all quarterbacks are like this.
86:48But really disparity between when he's pressured versus when he's not.
86:52And I don't think Chicago can get pressure. Yeah, without their two starting defense events.
86:57Without Sweat, right. So, yeah, give me Atlanta. So, Falcons and Raiders pays out plus 5-10 at DraftKings.
87:03That is our Moneyline Underdog presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours.
87:07All right, teaser of the week. Always tease, tease, tease.
87:10We're going to go – I mentioned Cowboys. If you want to do – I actually prefer 14 teasers at plus 240
87:17versus some of the prices that are out there.
87:20If you're going to do that, maybe you could throw Broncos in there.
87:25If you want to wait until Sunday, you can maybe go Falcons, Texans, Cowboys, Bucs.
87:30Getting them all over a touchdown. I like that one.
87:33I might play it myself. You could also throw the Broncos in there if you want some Thursday night football action in place of one of them.
87:42But we're going to officially go Texans against the Jags.
87:45I actually also like the Texans. Now, it is a tricky spot.
87:49They are traveling across the pond, and the Jags are staying in London.
87:54That's what makes it tricky. We've only seen teams play back-to-back overseas games three times.
87:59Those teams are 3-0 against the spread. Tiny sample size, but there's definitely an edge there.
88:04There's also no Petrie. He's huge in the slot against the run and enables the Texans to do so much.
88:11Although I do like Kamari Ramsey, but we'll see.
88:14The rookie is going to have to step up there, and that's big against Parker Washington.
88:19He's going to be playing in the slot a ton.
88:23But this is a desperation effort for the Texans.
88:26They've been unlucky. The Jags have been very lucky this year.
88:29I don't think that there's much separating these teams.
88:32And this is a very – and Stroud has been incredible this year.
88:37And look, the Texans can't run the ball. Whatever, you can't run it on Jacksonville.
88:42Drop back. Drop back. Jags dealing with some secondary injuries.
88:45Let – some potential new weapons this week for Houston.
88:48But just let Nico eat. Jags are dead last in the NFL against number one receivers.
88:54And Trevor Lawrence, this is a horrible matchup for him.
88:57Horrible. Because the Texans can get pressure. They don't blitz.
89:00They play a lot of coverages that Lawrence struggles against.
89:04And if you get pressure on Lawrence without blitzing, that's how you turn him into a pumpkin.
89:09Look no further than last year. Lawrence in two games against the Texans.
89:1433 of 63 for 375 yards. One big-time throw.
89:17Eight turnover-worthy plays. And now he lost one of his tackles.
89:20And now you're going to have two vulnerable tackles against the best edge-rushing duo in the entire NFL.
89:26I think the Texans win. I won a three.
89:29But I think they're a very good teaser piece.
89:32I think Dallas keeps it close. That's a one-possession game.
89:36And you can get a backdoor if you need it.
89:39So we're going to go with an all-Texas teaser.
89:42Dallas – What about Montgomery? He didn't practice today.
89:45Are you concerned there? They can't run the ball anywhere.
89:48I don't care. That's true. And you can't run it on Jacksonville.
89:52Just throw it. Drop back and throw it all day.
89:56Stroud's playing really well. It's going under the radar.
89:59And by the way, this Texans team could easily beat the Bengals.
90:03Could have easily beat the Bills. They've been extremely unlucky.
90:06They should have a couple more wins. And the Jags, their wins are the Browns, the Pats when they were lost, the Bengals.
90:14Jamar Chase went down, coin flip game. The Eagles.
90:17I know they dominated statistically, but the Eagles are completely broken.
90:20And September at home is very skewed their way.
90:23For the Jags. So, some of that is part of the equation.
90:27Yeah. And they've definitely been very lucky. Like, turnovers again.
90:31And the O-line stinks. I mean, the play calling's offset it, but the O-line does stink.
90:36And I think that's why you mentioned it's a bad matchup for Houston.
90:41Bad matchup for Lawrence. Like, I wouldn't be surprised if he throws a couple picks here.
90:46This is the Texans season. Like, gotta win this game.
90:49Doesn't mean that they're gonna, like, extra effort or whatever.
90:53But you throw everything you have out here. All right.
90:56That's our teaser of the week. Now, let's summarize our contest picks.
91:00My favorite three picks. We're going with the Bucs, plus two and a half.
91:05The Raiders, plus five and a half. And the Saints, minus ones out there.
91:09We'll call them minus one and a half at DraftKings right now.
91:13Doug, which two are you throwing in? Laying a combined 20 points.
91:17What could go wrong in the NFL? Lane 12 and a half with the Rams and seven and a half with the Niners on Monday night.
91:26Favorites of seven plus or do? They've been horrible this year.
91:30I thought historically... Oh, yeah. Yeah, right. Seven plus.
91:33But double-digit favorites have actually done well over the last, like, five years or something.
91:3849ers, Rams, Bucs, Raiders, Saints. And Evan is throwing in the Jets, plus seven and a half, to make it a weak six-six pack.
91:46Thanks to Doug for joining me. Thanks to Evan, as always.
91:49And most importantly, thanks to our producers on the back end.
