A.J. Brown

NegativeValue7:37

AJ Brown is going after George Pickens in ADP, creating an opportunity cost discussion. Pickens' earlier draft position relative to Brown raises questions about relative value and draft strategy.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveProjection37:44

Blake Corum is characterized as having maybe the highest contingent upside in fantasy among the running backs in the draft queue. He was selected as team six's running back three, and Jonathan Taylor explicitly endorses the value at that spot: 'I like that value, John.'

Insight page

Braelon Allen

NegativeDepth Chart25:12

Moved up in ADP; potential handcuff to Breece Hall. If Hall experiences reaggravation of injury, Allen becomes more valuable as a backup option to monitor.

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveProjection24:00

Jonathan Taylor leans Breece Hall over Kron Williams and Javante Williams because Hall had a career-low target share last year under Brady Cook and Justin Fields, but now with Gino Smith at quarterback, Taylor expects more accurate targets for at least an extended period. This quarterback upgrade supports Hall's upside despite his poor 2024 fantasy points per game. Taken at the 3-4 turn in this draft; same draft class as Kenneth Walker. Braelon Allen mentioned as a potential handcuff with moved-up ADP; if Hall experiences reaggravation of injury, Allen becomes more valuable to monitor.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveValue34:48

Brian Thomas Jr. goes at 707 ADP, which Jonathan Taylor views as really good value. Taylor prefers BTJ over Wandale Robinson at similar ADP, though he acknowledges Robinson is perfectly fine in this format.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveValue1:00

Bowers was expected to go at any point in the early draft and was selected at pick 8 overall, indicating he was a consensus early tight end selection. He is also part of a preferred early draft strategy alongside CeeDee Lamb, indicating Jonathan Taylor approval of this pairing as a strong opening approach.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveValue36:46

Bucky Irving goes off the board in round 5 of this FFPC Big Gorilla draft, continuing a run of running backs being selected early. Irving is part of a strong value tier in the fifth round alongside Bashel Tutin and DeAndre Swift.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeProjection11:50

Caleb Williams predicted to be drafted by team three as part of Chicago offense stack strategy, paired with Luther Bird and DeAndre Swift for correlation play.

Insight page

Cam Ward

NegativeProjection35:11

Jonathan Taylor questions whether Cam Ward can lift anyone in the Tennessee offense, even Wandale Robinson who is the first wide receiver drafted in the class, suggesting Ward's ability to elevate receiver production is limited despite Robinson's talent.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeProjection31:03

Carnell Tate is the next wide receiver off the board after Mike Evans in the 7-12 range. Jonathan Taylor expresses concern that Tennessee is going to have major issues, suggesting downside risk for Tate's production and opportunity. While acknowledging Tate's incredible talent level, Taylor questions whether Kenneth Gainwell should have been taken instead in zero-RB builds to provide more running back depth.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

PositiveValue1:15

Lamb is a swing candidate in draft strategy, sometimes going in the first round and sometimes in the early second round. He is an elite wide receiver who earns targets frequently; the question of whether George Pickens can outscore him again is framed as a close call (potentially 55-45 split), suggesting Lamb's ADP may be appropriately valued or slightly undervalued relative to Pickens. He is also part of a preferred early draft strategy alongside Brock Bowers.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeValue1:30

Brown was selected before pick 12, making him unavailable as an option for the draft team at that spot. He was noted as a fun pick that would have been interesting for the team.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

PositiveValue33:14

Chris Godwin goes off the board at ADP 703 with his ADP climbing. Jonathan Taylor notes people are 'eating their vegetables' on Godwin's value, viewing him as a solid value pick at the 703 range. Taylor cautions against using him as a sixth wide receiver in zero-RB builds, preferring him as a value target at his current ADP.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeValue1:00

McCaffrey went at pick 10 in this FFPC draft. Kenneth Walker's range of outcomes is viewed by some sharps as outscoring McCaffrey, with the comparison close enough that some FFPC players take Walker over McCaffrey without question.

Insight page

Christian Watson

NegativeRole24:24

Watson selected in FFPC Big Gorilla draft during the sixth round; noted as one of the players coming off the board in this draft segment.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveValue26:48

Jonathan Taylor moved DJ Moore up considerably in his rankings, now ranked behind Jaylen Waddle, Garrett Wilson, and Tedro McMillan. Moore opens as Buffalo's WR1, knows the Joe Brady playbook from Carolina (easing transition), and is Josh Allen's natural WR1 target. Positive camp reports and strong preseason performance for Buffalo have improved Taylor's outlook, though he still ranks elite second and third-year players ahead of him.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveValue36:46

DeAndre Swift goes off the board at pick 503 in round five and is described as a fantastic value. Jonathan Taylor took DeAndre Swift in a $350 NFC league yesterday also in the fifth round. Swift feels like a really strong value, especially with Kyle Monahan dealing with a hyperextension; Swift could get off to a red-hot fast start. Swift is the lone running back selected in Team 3's extreme zero-RB build through seven rounds, with six wide receivers taken.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeValue11:21

David Montgomery is mentioned as a running back in the 5-6 turn ADP range, with uncertainty about whether he will be available or go off the board earlier; Jonathan Taylor notes the 5-6 turn area can be 'choppy' with unpredictable outcomes. Montgomery is going inside round four in this draft, representing a shift in running back ADP as the position is being pulled up earlier.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveValue25:36

Jonathan Taylor ranks DeVonta Smith at the top of his WR tier, with Mecole Hardman ranked directly behind him. Smith represents the ceiling of this receiver tier in Taylor's personal rankings.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeProjection9:00

Drake London is going around pick 303 and has averaged 16 points per game in back-to-back years. Despite being a clear wide receiver one with minimal target competition, Jonathan Taylor believes he belongs at or slightly behind his current ADP due to concerns about Atlanta's quarterback play. London is described as a strong target earner as a wide receiver one; he earned sixth in target share among all players before injury. London is part of Team Three's zero-RB build alongside Jamar Chase, Malik Neighbors, and Luther Burden.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection43:26

Quarterback drafted third off the board in this $1M FFPC Big Gorilla draft, selected by the team picking fifth.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

NegativeValue12:42

Garrett Wilson is ranked in the same tier as Tedo McMillan but at the bottom of that tier due to offensive environment concerns. Jonathan Taylor prefers Jaylen Waddle over Wilson for max upside and better offensive fit, indicating lower priority than Waddle in this range.

Insight page

George Pickens

PositiveValue6:17

Pickens led the entire league in receiving yards during games when CeeDee Lamb missed last year, demonstrating elite upside. He was an obvious breakout last year when moved from a horrible quarterback situation to one of the league's most accurate quarterbacks (Russell Wilson). This year he's going at a fair price, making him fairly valued despite his breakout status. The question of whether Pickens can outscore CeeDee Lamb again is framed as a close call, suggesting Lamb's ADP may be appropriately valued or slightly undervalued relative to Pickens.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

PositiveValue24:48

Tight end selected at pick 501 in FFPC Big Gorilla draft; Jonathan Taylor expresses strong preference, stating 'I like Harold Fannon a ton here. He goes at the 501 sometimes. I think he gives us some upside,' viewing him as offering upside at his ADP in a tight end premium format. However, Jonathan Taylor ranks Tucker Craft over Fannon for the offensive situation, noting there are more capable mouths to feed than last year's iteration, suggesting Craft has improved opportunity relative to Fannon.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

PositiveMatchup4:00

McCarthy ranked 45th among 49 quarterbacks with 100+ drop backs in catchable target rate last season, indicating below-average target quality. This context is used to show that even average quarterback play would improve Jefferson's situation. JJ McCarthy ranked 45th among 49 quarterbacks with 100+ drop backs last year in catchable target rate, significantly below Kyler Murray's 15th-ranked performance with the Cardinals. This poor accuracy metric undermines his supporting cast's fantasy value.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeProjection43:30

Running back selected as RB4 by team one in this $1M FFPC Big Gorilla draft.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveValue9:10

Jamar Chase is part of Team Three's opening selections, described as an 'unbelievable start' alongside Malik Neighbors and Drake London. Chase anchors a zero-RB build that Jonathan Taylor describes as very dangerous if the team can recover at running back, with Chase paired alongside Malik Neighbors, Drake London, and Luther Burden.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeBust25:42

Running back discussed extensively with strong negative assessment; Jonathan Taylor John Daigle expresses skepticism about Price's profile despite first-round draft capital, stating 'all Jian Price has going for him is the first round draft capital' and 'I look at Jerian Price's profile and once again I'm saying you should definitely not be here.' Daigle draws comparison to Matthew Golden, another first-round pick with concerning profile, and warns 'whenever we try to force touches to a running back who has never handled touches and Jerian Price,' suggesting Price lacks the touch history to justify his draft capital and the team's attempt to force him into the offense.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveValue2:15

Cook is considered in the elite tier with Jonathan Taylor and Christian McCaffrey. If he falls to pick 112, it would be described as the easiest pick of the draft, indicating exceptional value at that spot.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveValue38:54

Jameson Williams goes off the board at pick 504 in round five and Jonathan Taylor assesses this as appropriate valuation, noting 'We see Jameson Williams at the 504, which is I think about where he belongs. Uh especially after the Leaporta injury news.' This suggests Williams' ADP has adjusted appropriately to account for injury concerns to a teammate.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

NegativeBust11:51

Javvante Williams is not a strong preference for Jonathan Taylor, who states 'Not too big. No.' when asked about his enthusiasm for the running back, indicating a fade or low priority in this draft range.

Insight page
NegativeValue31:54

Javante Williams is going inside round 4 in this draft, part of a broader trend of running backs being pulled up earlier in the draft. Unlike some other backs in this tier, Williams has not had appearances in round 5 during the offseason.

Insight page

Jayden Higgins

PositiveValue32:32

Jonathan Taylor previously could have argued for Jaden Higgins as a late-round wide receiver target in FFPC, but has since moved away from that stance in favor of other late-round options like Quentin Johnston and Jaden Reed, indicating diminished confidence in his draft value.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

PositiveValue32:32

Jonathan Taylor includes Jaden Reed as one of his final late-round wide receiver targets in FFPC format where only two wide receivers are required to start, indicating confidence in Reed's value relative to late-round alternatives.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveProjection24:00

Projected for a low-end WR1 season; taken at the 3-4 turn as WR2 in this draft. Led the league in air yard share on a per-route basis last year despite Tua's delivery issues; sixth in target share after Tyreek Hill's injury. On a per-route basis, everything clicked but results didn't follow due to quarterback limitations. Represents good value at this draft position despite fear of passing on WRs that could outscore him by 3-4 PPG.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveUsage28:00

Jeremiah Love led the running back class in target rate on routes, presenting a strength in receiving profile that contrasts favorably with peers like Jerian Price, who had the second-lowest target-per-route-run rate among RBs in the class.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeValue40:52

Joe Burrow available in mid-round range around pick 810 as a stack option with Jamar Chase manager; eventually drafted by team one, triggering quarterback run.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeValue1:30

Taylor was selected in the early draft, signaling that running backs would be heavily targeted in the draft. He is considered in the same elite tier as Christian McCaffrey and James Cook.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

NegativeValue44:58

Running back drafted at pick 902 in this $1M FFPC Big Gorilla draft. Jonathan Taylor notes this as a snipe that would have been strong value for a zero RB strategy team but was taken before they could acquire him.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeValue31:54

Josh Jacobs has settled back into round four after draft anxiety around a suspension concern eased. Jonathan Taylor notes that people became less nervous about his eligibility, representing improved value as ADP has stabilized.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveValue1:15

Jefferson was selected at pick 12 and is viewed as a fantastic value at that spot. Despite a down 2024 season, he is expected to be hyperargeted in 2025. Even with league-average quarterback play from Kyler Murray (ranked 15th in catchable target rate vs. JJ McCarthy's 45th), Jefferson's floor improves significantly. He has a higher ceiling than Amon-Ra St. Brown and has already proven he can outscore Puka Nakua and Jamar Chase when the offense fits Kevin O'Connell's system. His floor is expected to be solid despite last year's decline.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeValue33:34

Kenneth Gainwell is presented as an alternative running back option that could have been selected over Carnell Tate in Team 3's zero-RB build to provide more running back depth and balance through the early rounds.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveValue1:45

Walker was selected at pick 12 in this FFPC draft. Jonathan Taylor strongly likes Walker and believes his range of outcomes outscores Christian McCaffrey's; some sharps in FFPC leagues take him over McCaffrey without question. Walker is in the same tier as Saquon Barkley and Ashton Genty at that draft position. Taylor loves the balanced start with Walker and Justin Jefferson, with potential for Walker to finish as a top-four running back scorer this season. Walker is also available in the 7-12 area as a running back option in this two-flex tight end premium PPR format.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeRole26:28

Tight end considered as alternative option to Mike Evans in FFPC Big Gorilla draft; Jonathan Taylor states 'I don't mind Craft or Pitts either,' indicating Pitts was in the consideration set but ultimately not selected.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveMatchup4:00

Murray ranked 15th among 49 quarterbacks with 100+ drop backs in catchable target rate last season, which is above average. Even league-average play from Murray this year would improve Justin Jefferson's floor and ceiling significantly compared to his 2024 performance. Kyler Murray ranked 15th in catchable target rate last season with the Cardinals, above average performance. Even league-average play from Murray this year would elevate Justin Jefferson's ceiling significantly compared to Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveValue25:36

Jonathan Taylor personally ranks McConkey ahead of Jaylen Waddle at this draft position, though the team selected Waddle instead due to group drafting dynamics. McConkey represents Taylor's preferred ranking at this tier.

Insight page

Luke Musgrave

NegativeInjury33:14

Luke Musgrave is currently injured, limiting his availability as a tight end option in the draft.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveRole32:26

Luther Burden is part of Team 3's zero-RB build that Jonathan Taylor describes as very dangerous if the team can recover at running back. Burden is one of four strong wide receivers selected early in this build.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveValue32:45

Jonathan Taylor is open-minded to Matthew Golden when available in the 901–1001 ADP range, viewing him as offering upside outcomes. Golden gains additional pathway value if Jaden Reed or a Watson injury occurs, making him a conditional late-round target. This contrasts with Taylor's earlier bust prediction on Golden as a first-round pick, where the profile did not support draft capital.

Insight page

Mecole Hardman

PositiveValue25:36

Speaker's preferred pick at this draft position; ranked as the top rod receiver ahead of DeVonta Smith. Also prefers Mecole Hardman over Jaylen Waddle, but team is drafting together so Waddle was selected instead. Hardman represents the speaker's personal ranking preference at this tier.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeValue36:10

Michael Pittman Jr. goes off the board during the draft as more wide receivers continue to be selected.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeValue25:14

Wide receiver selected at pick 601 in FFPC Big Gorilla draft. Jonathan Taylor initially expresses concern about injury and age but ultimately prefers Evans at this ADP, stating 'I think Mike Evans is making the biggest argument here if we don't go tight end, tight end' and 'I want Mike Evans.' At the 601 pick, 'the downside risk is sort of weighed in,' and Evans provides correlation upside with Brock Purdy. Jonathan Taylor clarifies he dislikes taking Evans at 503 but tolerates him at 601, suggesting the later ADP mitigates injury and age concerns. However, Taylor also expresses skepticism about Evans' fantasy value, noting his age as a concern in the context of winning a million-dollar fantasy football tournament, suggesting he is not a preferred target at earlier draft costs.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveBreakout8:45

Nico Collins has been a preseason winner due to injuries to Jordan Tyson and Jaden Higgins around him, creating additional opportunity. This injury context makes him an enticing double-tap candidate alongside Chris Lavert.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

PositiveValue32:32

Jonathan Taylor includes Quentin Johnston as one of his final late-round wide receiver targets in FFPC format where only two wide receivers are required to start, indicating confidence in Johnston's value relative to late-round alternatives.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

NegativeValue45:10

Rico Dowdle fell to team three at pick 810 as part of Chicago offense stack with six wide receiver start and DeAndre Swift; positioned as value in correlation strategy.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

NegativeProjection27:02

Jonathan Taylor projects Leporta will be selected early in round 7, near George Kittle's typical ADP range, rather than falling to pick 712. Taylor notes 'I wonder if we'll get a Sam Leporta discount, too' but clarifies 'I don't think Leporta falls all the way to the 712. We'll see. I bet you Leporta goes somewhere near George KD here in the beginning of the seventh.'

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeValue1:45

Barkley is grouped in the same tier as Kenneth Walker and Ashton Genty for pick 12, indicating he is a viable option at that draft position.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

NegativeValue25:36

Jonathan Taylor ranks Tee Higgins below Mecole Hardman and Jaylen Waddle in his personal rankings. Positioned as a second-tier WR option at this draft stage.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeValue13:37

Travis Etienne is presented as a viable option to lock down running back value and avoid 'dead zone' running backs at the 5-6 turn. While Jonathan Taylor prefers wide receivers, Etienne is considered as a strategic alternative to weaker running back options in that range.

Insight page

Trey McBride

NegativeValue1:15

McBride is characterized as a swing candidate in draft strategy, sometimes going in the first round and sometimes in the early second round, indicating volatility in his draft position and value perception.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeRole26:28

Jonathan Taylor ranks Tucker Craft over Harold Fannon due to improved offensive situation with more capable mouths to feed than last year. Taylor describes Craft as a carbon copy of George Kittle with elite efficiency and broken tackle rate among tight ends who lead in target rate on routes. However, Craft carries reinjury risk that limits his reliability.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

PositiveRole34:36

Wandale Robinson is starting to go inside round 7 as people understand he will have a strong role after taking his game to another level last year. However, Jonathan Taylor prefers Brian Thomas Jr. at 707 ADP, questioning Robinson's ceiling given Tennessee's offensive line issues and Cam Ward's ability to lift receivers, though Taylor expects Robinson to average more points per game than Carnell Tate.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeValue25:36

Jonathan Taylor ranks Zay Flowers below Mecole Hardman, Jaylen Waddle, and Tee Higgins in his personal rankings. Positioned as a second-tier WR option at this draft stage.

0:04Back live in the FFPC streets. Theo Griminger joined today by John Dagel of Establish the Run. We're attempting to win a million dollars. John, we have the
0:1512 spot, which is a spot that I know you like cuz you love these running back running back starts in these drafts. Uh,
0:21I like it. I I think it's you never know what you're going to get, but I I think we'll have access to several really
0:27high-end running backs that offer us like predictable volume. And then we've got uh some obviously some tight ends that could fall, some interesting wide
0:35receivers to discuss as well. What jersey are you wearing right now, John?
0:39>> This is our one true king, Johnny Manzel Browns jersey, which also, if I move my computer over, you can see I have the
0:46action figure back there, too. Uh, I've I've cornered the market on all JD Johnny Manzilla attire.
0:53>> I mean, it's it's uh it's at some point it could potentially have a niche market there for sure. Um, we we see Christian
1:00McCaffrey go off at the 107. Jir Gibbs, Bejian Robinson, and we see the the four wide receivers. Brock Bower should go at
1:08any point now. And there he goes at eight overall. uh in Trey McBride's sort of a a swing guy here where sometimes he
1:14goes in the first, sometimes he goes early second and then I'll say CD Lamb, Justin Jefferson, sort of the same thing
1:20here. Jonathan Taylor goes, so this is kind of signal that we're going to see a bunch of running backs. There goes Chase
1:26Brown, John, which would have been a really fun pick for us, but we got plenty of guys uh that are interesting
1:31here at 12.
1:34Who's Who do you want here, John? Who's like your number one? I really want this player here at 12.
1:42>> There's so much going on. Uh, okay. I just promoted it. Uh, I would say in the back end, as you mentioned, me being a
1:52individual who drafts running back, running back, I do that from the back of drafts, not the front and middle most of
1:58the time. So, the back I think we have our choice between uh that tier of Kenneth Walker, Saquon Barkley, and Ashton Genty.
2:08Agreed. I think they're all there.
2:11Kenneth Walker I really like. Um, did they just roll roll it back here?
2:17I'm I'm not Okay, never mind. Okay, there goes James Cook. I'm having uh >> I mean James Cook I consider him in the
2:24tier with Jonathan Taylor and Christian McCaffrey, though. If he falls to 112, that's the easiest click of our lifetime.
2:30>> Okay, so why don't if you want to put in the uh in the pick here, John, let's put Kenneth Walker here. We're It looks like
2:36we're OTC.
2:38Let's put in Kenneth Walker.
2:40>> Yes, that's the first one for sure. I believe we should take uh Kenneth Walker whose range of outcomes I believe
2:46outscores outscoring Christian McCaffrey. I've seen some sharps in these FFPC leagues in particular take him over McAffrey. Uh and it's it's
2:55something I I don't bat an eye on. Not to say I would do it, but I don't question it at all because it's that
3:00close.
3:01>> I'm actually I'm having trouble with the board here. You could put in Kenneth Walker.
3:06>> Yep.
3:06>> I'll draft. You know what? I got it. It came up now. Kenneth Walker, we'll put >> I just put him in the queue for us.
3:10There you go.
3:11>> Okay. And now this next one, I think if you want to go Genty, I think it's fine.
3:17I I think he's uh I think he's fine here at at the 2011. I'll just throw out because we have 50 seconds. Do you want
3:24to consider McBride or one of the wide receivers? I know you're interested some of the running backs that'll fall to 36
3:3137. We could go with a balanced start here and not feel like we have to catch up at at at tight end if we grab
3:36McBride. And obviously Jefferson CD Lamb would give you some upside at wide receiver or he's sort of pot committed to I like the guys at 36 37 at wide out
3:45therefore we should take Genty.
3:47>> I am between Ashton Genty and Justin Jefferson. I would be happy with Justin Jefferson, but if you want to go running
3:55back running back, I'm okay with that, too.
3:56>> I I I would I think we go Justin Jefferson. I like where your head's at.
4:00Let's go Jefferson. I think Jefferson's a fantastic value here. And this is the problem with having too many drafts going. John, when I was saying I was
4:07having trouble. I'm in a bunch of these slow 125 best balls in FFPC, too. And I had it open and I'm like, what am I
4:12seeing here? I'm seeing something different on the board. Um, but we start out with Kenneth Walker and Justin Jefferson. Technical glitches are over
4:19here. Love this start, John. I mean, Justin Jefferson, I mean, what's what's the floor here this year? I mean, I understand that
4:26last year we saw sort of the bottom fall out, but it feels like he's going to be hyperargeted. Kyler Murray, we know just
4:32how locked in he was with Trey McBride.
4:34Uh, your thoughts on this situation.
4:38Uh, 49 quarterbacks had 100 drop backs last year. JJ McCarthy ranked 45th among them in catchable target rate, whereas Kyler Murray with the Cardinals last season
4:50ranked 15th. That's above average. But I I've been arguing that even if we get league average play from Kyler Murray this year, that still brings Justin
4:58Jeerson back up to the tier he's already proven he belongs in and having a significantly higher ceiling than Ammon Ross St. Brown. Ammon Ross St. Brown's
5:06floor we all know is safe. But because of the way he's used, he really doesn't have wide receiver one in his reachable
5:13range of outcomes. It's like a 1% outcome, but the floor is always great.
5:18But Justin Jefferson has already proven he can outscore Puka Nakua and Jamar Chase whenever everything around him fits Kevin O Connell's offense. So I
5:26believe he's a gift and an offense that really the ADPs dipped for all the wrong reasons from JJ McCarthy last year.
5:35>> Yeah. And John, you're getting some uh shout outs. Sean G, who plays a lot of FFPC says you're a great guest, knows
5:41your stuff. Yeah, John, this is the first time we drafted a team, but we've podcast together so many times. Uh really excited to see how this shapes
5:47out. completely agree with you on Jefferson. I love the balance start with Walker and Jefferson. Potentially get a top four running back scorer in Walker
5:56and a top, you know, top one wide receiver score in Jefferson. I don't think that's out of the range of possibilities. Uh he'd probably be more
6:03of a guy that I'd bet on to be a wide receiver four, wide receiver five overall guy, but it feels like after you
6:10get past Jefferson, it gets a little shakier at wide out. I know you're locked in a lot of Cowboys stuff. What
6:17do you percentage do you give it that Pickins could just straight up outscore CD Lamb again this year? Is it like are
6:23you like completely all in on it's going to return to normaly or could this be like a 5545 uh bet situation where the
6:30ADP should be a little closer? I believe it's the same kind of split we saw uh CD Lamb still being the elite wide receiver
6:39who earned targets frequently, but George Pickkins is similar to the same argument as T. Higgins where they operate as wide receiver ones with
6:47standalone value, but they also have immense contingency upside. We saw the few games that CD Lamb missed last year.
6:54George Pickins led the entire league in receiving yards. Uh, having said that, I should be honest with everyone and let you know that uh I I actually don't
7:02draft much George Pickkins, but I'm also such a nit for stock prices in fantasy football, especially when we're drafting multiple teams. And so last year, George
7:11Pickkins was an obvious breakout because like when Drake London broke break out broke out, we just took George Pickkins from a horrible quarterback situation
7:20and said, "What if we give him one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the entire league?" Of course, George Pickkins then had success, but he was
7:27also drafted several rounds later. This year, he's going at a fair price. Thus, I don't really click it much unless I
7:33found myself stacking the Cowboys.
7:37>> Yeah, I I hear you. I feel I feel like it's like when you look at Pickkins this draft, he goes before AJ Brown. It's
7:44just sort of the opportunity cost of where he's going. Um I I'm a little more open-minded to drafting sort of both of
7:49them. I drafted Lamb in an NFC draft yesterday. I love that start for for team one. Real man of genius is uh a
7:57high stakes guy in FFPC who does a ton of dynasty, a ton of uh main events. He starts out with Jir Gibbs, AJ Brown,
8:04Chris Salave. John, when you look at like the 101, is that the way to play it? Lean into Jir Gibbs and double tap uh wide
8:13receiver or do you think that he should have potentially gone with like a Coloulston Lovelin in this tight end premium format?
8:19>> Don't mind Colston Lovelin. don't mind double tapping the wide receiver. I take Jir Gibbs every time at 101 just because
8:25it's still you have to get the 101 pretty much every time to get Jir Gibbs.
8:29So, I just don't want to overthink that situation and how few shares I'll have of Gibbs, if only because of a a random
8:36draft and getting that spot. Uh, I'm open to both though. I do think Chris Lav and Nico Collins have been preseason
8:45winners just for the injuries to Jordan Tyson and Jaden Higgins around them. And so that's a double tap I think has
8:50become extremely enticing squeezing them into that Malik Neighbors tier all of a sudden. Whereas previously they were either at the bottom or leading off the
8:59next range uh ahead of Dvontto Smith.
9:02>> We're hearing somebody say that they like the Brock Bowers CD Lamb start.
9:06That's the eight team eight team. We're seeing a wide receiver run. Round three.
9:10I I expect we'll see eight or nine wide receivers go off the board. Team number three. Unbelievable start right there with Jamar Chase, Malik Neighbors, Drake
9:18London potentially. London following to like the 303 level. I think that could be a massive, massive edge pick. Uh some concerns about the quarterback play in
9:27Atlanta. Do you share the sort of pessimism for London? 16 points per game backto-back years. We know he's a really talented player, John, and he's a clear
9:37wide receiver one with not a whole lot of wide receiver uh target competition, but he goes there at the at the 303. Uh
9:44do you think that that's where he belongs or would you push him up considerably?
9:50>> Uh I think that's about where he [snorts] belongs, if not slightly behind. I've been drafting a lot of Drake London previously around if
10:00not ahead of George Pickkins. Malik Neighbors, in my opinion, has since tied him given that it sounds like even if he's limited in week one, like the fact
10:07we're even getting Malik Neighbors in week one is a wild outcome that I didn't expect two months ago. Uh, so I still
10:13like them there. But for for Drake London, like we already saw, I know the play caller, the quarterback, everything's really changed in that
10:19situation, but we already saw him before he got injured like be sixth in target share among all players. He's still a
10:26player who earned targets as a strong wide receiver one. So, I don't want to shy away from that just because of
10:32Tua's, you know, reporting out of camp and preseason play.
10:36>> All right, so we're coming up. We're a few picks away here from the turn. I'm starting to load a couple guys in the
10:42queue. You should probably do the same.
10:44I know that there's some I mean, there's a bunch of of of interesting guys, especially with some of the injuries.
10:50Some guys are sort of falling into this range. Um curious sort of like your structural like the structure you want to lean into
10:58here. Uh it feels like maybe walking away from one of these two picks with a running back is something we're going to
11:04like even if we prefer some of the uh wide receiver options. I think walking away with one running back here would
11:10make some sense.
11:13>> Yeah. I don't think we want to push it further because you're tuned you're more tuned into big gorilla ADP than I am. Is
11:21this a range where David Montgomery and Bashel Tuton come back to Quench on Juckkins as well or we're just expecting them to go off the board?
11:29>> You really never know. Um it's a lot of times like that 56 turn area. It can be choppy. 56 turn I think we're going to
11:36like at least some wide receivers there.
11:39Uh that's also a tight end range where a couple of the I mean Leaporta now with the injury guys like Fannon and stuff
11:45will get pushed up. I've got five guys in the queue, John, and we I think we can sort of talk it out when we get
11:50there. Uh depending on what this drafter does. Uh I know you're not big on Javvante Williams, correct?
11:57>> Not too big. No. Um but it but also this one player I'm waiting to see who top banana picks. The player on the top of
12:07our queue is a in my opinion a tier above him.
12:12>> I'm with you. I would love for him to fall to this range. I think he'd be kind of an auto pick. Uh, we'll see.
12:19Okay, so Kairen Williams goes and I think we're both locked in on Bree Hall here, >> correct? I want Bree Hall.
12:25>> Okay, so let's talk. We have time to talk out the next pick. So, we have two minutes here.
12:29>> None of these guys are going to come back to us, so I think we can be completely open.
12:35I I have I'll just throw him in the queue there. Um, there's a couple of other guys. I know T. Higgins is a is an
12:42Evan favorite. I I kind of would I'd be open-minded to him as our wide receiver, too. But I think there might be a little
12:49more value in the Jaylen Wadd, Garrett Wilson. If you want to roll the dice on McMillan, we could do that. And if you
12:57want to sort of lock down running back, I'd be open to pushing a guy up and going running back running back here.
13:05What's your initial initial thoughts?
13:08I'm going to put in the hall pick as soon as you kind of start talking.
13:14I'm I'm between Jaylen Wadd, Tedo McMillan, Travis ETN, and Lad McConi.
13:23>> Okay. So, I'm I like the Wadd McMillan uh suggestions a little bit more.
13:28>> Okay.
13:29>> So, it comes and I'm open to to Travis Travis Hn. think he gives us the like I prefer the wide receivers, but I think
13:37when we get to the 56 turn, we can avoid some of the dead zony guys if we if we go with Hchan. Ultimately, I think Wadd
13:44McMillan is is the way to lean into for like max upside. Can our team be dangerous enough to win a ton of money?
13:51Uh Wadd, we like the offense more.
13:54McMillan we like the maybe the talent more. Uh he's the certified alpha. I I think it's wide receiver John for me
14:00unless you want to talk take h >> in that case let's go ahead and do waddle here.
14:07>> Okay that's fine Garrett Wilson and Tedro McMillan are in this tier for me but they're at the bottom given their
14:12offensive environments.
14:13>> Yeah I mean it's such a tough decision.
14:15I know we've both podcasted with like Rich Reebar and I know a lot of people including yourself love this wide receiver queue. I've taken Jaylen Wadd
14:23right here at this 34 turn. Um I love it. I mean, I think Wadd's really good there, but you also like have a fear in
14:30the back of your mind. Did you pass up like a wide receiver that outscores him by three or four points per game?
14:36There's just so many wide receivers here that could end up scoring really well. I do think Wadd could be in store for like
14:41a low-end wide receiver one uh season.
14:44And we get him as our wide receiver two here. Uh I love the start with Walker and Hall. It's actually same draft class
14:51there, John. Uh same same draft class with with uh Bruce Hall and Kenneth Walker. Uh funny how things kind of shake out in in their careers and team
14:58situations where we're taking Wadd uh we're taking Walker at the one-two turn and and Hall at the 34 turn. A couple
15:05years ago, people would have maybe laughed at that at that notion when Hall was like a top three pick in FFPC. But I
15:12love the balance this team has. I will say like in the back of my mind potentially we handcuff with Brilan Allen with this team. He's moved up a
15:21little bit in ADP, but I think if if there were some reagravation with Hall, I think Allen becomes a little bit more
15:26fun just to keep that in the back of our mind. But Waddle, I I love the pick.
15:30Talk about like your bullcase for Wadd.
15:33Uh how high you think he could run up.
15:36So to be clear with everyone, just to be transparent, I usually take a Mecha Ibuka here. Achuka is the rod receiver I
15:42have at the top of that tier right behind Devont Smith. So I I have IA personally ranked over Z Flowers, Jaylen
15:49Wadd, T. Higgins. Uh the rest of those guys as well. I also usually take Lad Mcconkey over Jaylen Wadd, but one we're
15:56drafting as friends. We're drafting as a team. So totally fine with Jaylen Waddle. Also on a per route basis, although the results didn't really
16:03follow. Jaylen Wadd still led the league at his share of of the team's air yards last year without Tyreek Hill after
16:10Tyreek Hill was injured for the rest of the year. Also sixth in target share, I believe, the rest of the season. um just
16:17a player that again on a per route basis everything clicked but Tua couldn't deliver him the ball. I'm not even saying Bone Knicks coming back from
16:25injury against a tougher schedule uh is suddenly going to elevate Jaylen Wald further but it's still something I don't mind betting on.
16:36>> We see a comment in the chat uh why didn't we consider DJ Moore there at the 34 turn? Are you still pushing DJ Moore?
16:44I've moved him up in my rankings. I do have him behind Jaylen Waddle, behind Garrett Wilson, behind McMillan, but I did move him up considerably. Have are
16:52you more open to drafting DJ Moore uh with some of the positivity we're getting out of camp and some of the I
17:00mean, and he looked also very good in that preseason opener for Buffalo and Josh Allen sort of talking him up. Uh
17:06where you at on that one, John?
17:08>> Uh Moore has not changed, but I think I had him higher naturally than a lot of people. Anyhow, I still have them behind
17:15this entire tier uh just because of the age apex. We're looking at, you know, second and third year players who have
17:21already shown us elite ceilings ahead of DJ Moore. Uh having said that, obviously he walks into this situation where one, he knows the playbook from Joe Brady and
17:32Carolina, so that that comes with ease.
17:34And then also Josh Allen's natural wide receiver one. just zoom out and remember that in the playoffs last year the Bills
17:42comically started Khil Shakir, Brandon Cooks, and Curtis Samuel just offensive.
17:47And that's when we knew the Bills wouldn't win the championship. So DJ Moore opens as the team's wide receiver one. I think he's perfectly fine, but I
17:54still again have all these guys just as the better art type to draft ahead of them.
18:02Another interesting question uh from the chat is how concerned are you about Amecha Ibuka's toe injury. I I'll speak for me. I moved him down a little bit in
18:13my rankings at Rotoire. I was way ahead on him. Anybody who's been listening to my content the last few months that's
18:18been sort of my guy, but I am concerned about it enough that I pushed him down uh where you know I think where he's
18:26going in these drafts sort of makes some sense of the third round. I was sort of more into being willing to take him to
18:32the v beginning of the third round.
18:34Where are you at, John? Do you sort of share the uh ADP correction apprehension? Do you think he's going to be able to play through this or is there
18:41just so many question marks in the air for you?
18:44>> I am not concerned yet. Ask me again in a week and a half or two weeks. We still have uh roughly, you know, three weeks
18:52until the regular season. So, not concerned just yet. But we all also know how he got spurned by Todd BS's reporting and shoddy timelines on Bucky
19:02Irving last year. That's kind of in the back of everyone's mind since it's recency bias. I'm not there yet with Ibuka though. He's still like I told you
19:09uh a third fourth round turn if not earlier player for me.
19:14We see David Montgomery, Javvante Williams, Josh Jacobs, Cam Scataboo, Travis Han all going inside of round four. So, we talk about running back
19:23being pulled up a little bit. Those are guys that at any point in the of the offseason might have gone in round well,
19:28not really Javvante, but all these other guys have had appearances in round five at some point. Jacobs is settled back into round four after people are sort of
19:37a little less nervous about a suspension. Um, and then you see team three sort of taking advantage of this running back uh gravitational pull. Team
19:46three goes with Jamar Chase, Malik Neighbors, Drake London, Luther Burden.
19:50If they are able to recover at running back, that's a very dangerous zero RB team. And then we see team one add Quinn
19:57Sean Judkins to their AJ Brown, Chris, Jir Gibbs start. I like that Judkins pick a lot. Uh John, people are mixed on
20:05on Judkins. Obviously, we have we have question marks about the offense, but he seems like a player who's going to get a
20:10ton of volume and has a chance to really be kind of the focal point this year. Uh we like some of the pass catchers in
20:17Cleveland as well. obviously limitations of the quarterback spot. Your thoughts on on Judkins there with that sort of uh pick?
20:25>> Uh great pick. You know, at the front you're really boxed out from running backs because the last two guys from the
20:33third tier of running backs in Devon Aan and Derrick Henry are typically already off the board. And so that's what forces
20:40you to go Coloulston Lovelin or or double tap wide receiver. But I do like coming back in for Quinnon Judkins in
20:47particular because historically that's the kind of archetype that breaks out from this quote unquote dead zone. Last year from week two on when he was
20:55activator for the Browns he was targeted on 23% of his routes which was 13th among all running backs last year. So
21:03that's why I also lean Bree Hall over Kron Williams and Javvante Williams just because again Bruce Hall last year had a
21:10career low in fantasy points per game because he had a career low target share but it's no longer the machination of
21:17Brady Cook, Justin Fields throwing in the ball. We now think we're going to get more accurate targets for at least an extended time. I still don't think
21:25the whole season, but an extended period with a much better quarterback and Gino Smith. So I still like coming back in
21:32for Bree Hall and then Quinn Sean Juckkins. Previously I was making the same argument for Cam Scataboo since Scataboo last year whenever he was
21:40healthy. Ninth in target share among all running backs, 12th in yards per route run. But the Naji Harris signing I think
21:46dampens uh uh Scataboo's ceiling, not to mention how they've talked about him and camp returning from his injury.
21:55>> So we're a few picks away. I started loading up the the queue, John, if you want to start taking a look. If there's
22:00anybody that you feel strongly about, >> we're going to see a number of running backs go off the board here. It
22:06continues into round five where Bucky Irving, Bashel Tutin, DeAndre Swift go off the board. Uh team three now gets I mean that's a a fantastic uh run out for
22:17team three. Uh really one of the best zerb builds I've seen in this in this format so far. Jamar Chase, Malik
22:24Neighbors, Drake London, Luther Burden, and then they get sort of a life raft with DeAndre Swift at the 503. I love
22:32that value. I took DeAndre Swift in a in a $350 NFC uh league yesterday, also in the fifth round. Swift feels like a
22:40really strong value, especially with Kyle Manongi dealing with like the hyperextension. Swift could get off to a red-hot fast start. Really, really a a
22:48fun pick there. Um, couple interesting builds in here. I don't really see too many egregious builds. Team 11 >> six is fun too.
22:56>> Team six is very fun. Team six with Aman Raw Omaran Hampton Tyler Warren and then they go Lad Mani and then McMillan
23:04>> against McMillan.
23:06>> We considered McMillan when we went Jaylen Wadd. That's a great value. Team 11 with a four running back build. So we
23:12see uh uh a lot of people trying to attempt different different builds here.
23:16If you want to play in the FFPC against John and I, use the code theo25 if you're a new signup and you're going to
23:22get $25 free off initial off your initial uh deposit.
23:27Devonte Adams goes, I'm kind of glad. I didn't really want Devonte Adams in this build. Wide receivers are starting to get pushed up. We see Jameson Williams
23:34at the 504, which is I think about where he belongs. Uh especially after the Leaporta injury news. Tayvon Henderson goes off the board next. We are four
23:43spots away and we're going to talk it out. But some some interesting options for us, John. The Q's getting a little
23:50bit beat up, but still some uh some really interesting players for sure.
23:55>> Yeah, we're looking at tight ends in this range. That next group that typically falls. Uh we don't necessarily need running backs, but I'm adding a
24:05couple to the queue here. But I think we're going to get two exciting players.
24:10We're not at the point yet where I start sighing and thinking I don't want anyone.
24:14>> No, you're not. Definitely not in in sigh territory. I think some there's some parts of the sixth round where you
24:20end up getting kind of stuck a little bit which is really one of the downsides of picking at the beginning of the draft
24:25is you get these great starts but then end of the six it's sort of a tear off.
24:28Christian Watson goes uh so I think that's a >> Christian Watson going Yeah. and McLaren. So >> two guys in our queue go.
24:39We are balanced here. We have two running backs. We have two wide receivers. Okay. I think for me, I like Harold Fannon a ton here. He goes at the
24:49501 sometimes. I think he gives us some upside. I think this you we could make an argument, John, that this is tight
24:57end tight end here. And we take advantage of two of these guys in this tight end premium format. Uh when you
25:04look at our queue, is there somebody that like really stands out for you?
25:07Among all the guys, we can pass on the running back. I think >> yes, I think we can.
25:14>> I think Mike Evans is making the biggest argument here if we don't go tight end, tight end. That's the issue.
25:19>> I get it. I get it with with Mike Evans.
25:22I kind of like some of the upside wide receivers. Why don't we we pick our our tight end of choice here? Um and then
25:28we'll talk out Evans versus another tight end.
25:30>> We're going to do that. We're going to pick Harold Fannon because you prefer Harold Fannon. Okay, let's take Fannon and then
25:38>> Okay, so I I'm open-minded to to Craft here.
25:42>> I'm openminded and I know you don't like Jadarian Price. I would say if this is my own team, I would try to argue for
25:47Price, but I heard you and Silva. So, let's we'll talk about why you don't like Price at some point in the stream.
25:53>> Okay, so Evans I can tolerate. I I just I worry about the injury. I worried about him being old, but he would be our
26:00wide receiver three and he would give us access to a correlation with Brock Perie, which is kind of an interesting way of playing it. Um, I don't mind
26:10Craft or Pitts either. So, your your call here, Evans versus Craft >> um or Pitts. I think the tight end being
26:18kind of done at tight end might be nice here.
26:22I do like some later tight ends and I wonder if I wonder if we'll get a Sam Leaporta discount, too.
26:28>> Let's No, he won't be there. It's It's Evans or tight end. Your final call.
26:31>> I want Mike Evans.
26:32>> Okay, so we got Mike Evans.
26:34>> He's a little bit on on on brand for for the establish the run guys. I know you guys all like him. I know Scott Barrett
26:40really likes him. Uh Evan Silva really likes him. I just I I can tolerate him at the at here at like the 601. I don't
26:47like having to take Mike Evans ahead of uh Jameson Williams. I don't like having to necessarily take him at the 503. I I
26:55think when you take him at the 601, the downside risk is sort of weighed in. Um he's okay. And a couple people in the
27:02chat saying uh Leaporta might fall. I don't think so. I don't think Leaporta falls all the way to the 712. We'll see.
27:08I bet you Leaporta goes somewhere near George KD here in the beginning of the seventh. KD might also go in the sixth
27:14tier. We'll see Kyle Pittz's name called soon. Craft's name. I probably would have gone personally with a Tucker Craft here or Jadarian Price. Curious why
27:24you're out on Price, John. Is this uh because I heard you and Silva sort of getting after it a little bit. I thought
27:30that was a really good show. Um but your your general thoughts on why Price wasn't a uh a good pick there.
27:37>> Uh I think when you look at the positives, all Jian Price has going for him is the first round draft capital,
27:44which is is great. Don't get me wrong.
27:45In the last decade, just being drafted in the first round alone has accounted for 34% of a running back's first year
27:52fantasy points. It's a big deal. But when we talk about similar to Matthew Golden being drafted in the first round, a completely different position, I know,
27:59but we still looked at the profile and said, "You should not be here." And that came true with Matthew Golden. Uh I look
28:05at Jerian Price's profile and once again I'm saying you should definitely not be here. I think the alarm should sound for
28:12anyone in fantasy. Uh whenever we try to force touches to a running back who has never handled touches and Jerian Price
28:20handled a career 295 touches at Notre Dame. You can then step back and say, "Yeah, but he played behind Jeremiah Love." Okay, he had five fumbles despite
28:29having those limited 295 touches throughout his career. And whereas Jeremiah Love led this class in being targeted at a high rate, a number one rate on his
28:40routes, Jere uh Jerian Price was actually had the second lowest target per route run rate among all running backs in this class. Not to mention the
28:47fifth lowest whatever for whatever this is worth passing grade at Pro Football Focus among this class, too. So, he's just a player where like nothing they're
28:56telling us fits at all and all we're doing is drafting because the first round capital. So, I'm just going to zoom out and say I I you know, I'm as
29:04I've cited it on the podcast, I'm just going to hero call. I have bottom pair.
29:09You're bluffing into me on the river and I'm not believing you and I'm just going to suck it up and say uh prove me wrong.
29:15>> So, I'm I'm way higher than you on Jarian Price. I think Price like I I kind of go with with Silva on this one
29:22where I think Seattle has the intention of trying to to use him in in a major way. And John, I feel like if you're if
29:28you're completely out on price, then you should be making the George Hani uh Zack Sharbon double tap in every single draft. I think there's like there's no
29:37other way to play it. Um but we we'll we'll uh kind of I guess we can touch base with each other a month into the
29:43season on on the price call out. I'm sure you and Evan are ready to kind of victory lap in one way or another on the
29:49ETR prod as well.
29:50>> Well, I mean, we just prodded each other every day anyways. Uh, but I will say I have Tucker Craft ranked and Kyle Pittz.
29:58Uh, well, no, not Kyle Pittz. I have Tucker Craft definitely over Harold Fannon for the offensive situation. Um, there are more capable mouse to feed
30:07than last year's iteration of Jerry Judy and Cedric Tilman and Isaiah Bond. So, uh, although I like Harold Fannon as a
30:14player, I do have him still behind Tucker Craft who is the carbon copy of George KD and we've known that his
30:20entire career. Uh when you look at you know tight ends who lead in not only being targeted on their rate of routes
30:26but efficiency and broken tackles Tucker Craft is a man among children out there just like George KD. So I take Tucker
30:33Craft over Harold Fannon. Uh that's the reason I didn't double tap is because and I argue for Mike Evans because if we
30:40had double tapped like we know who Mike Evans is when he's healthy and he's not healthy. I get that. But when he's
30:47healthy he competes as a top 12 wide receiver. We are likely going to flex over Harold Fannon even in tight end
30:53premium weekly. And so I want at least this flex option with Mike Evans every single week while he's healthy. That also sets up backdoor 49ers stacks. I
31:03know this is reddraft, but it's makes sense to always target uh the and correlate the best offenses in the entire league. The 49ers are still one
31:11of them. And so once we went Fannon, because you prefer Fannon, that's when I then had the toss up and I just prefer
31:17Mike. Evans is a flexible option weekly.
31:20>> Yeah, I think Evans is fine. I just worry about holding up. I worry about his age. But again, when you talk about
31:25Evans here and the next wide receiver off the board is Carnell Tate and Tennessee, I think, is going to have some some major issues. It really felt
31:33like Evans was sort of the the end of a tier. There's going to be some other wide receivers when we get to the 712
31:38that are going to be very interesting.
31:40712 area will also have uh some potentially some some fun running back options for us. I think we're wide open and if you're listening on the podcast,
31:49Kenneth Walker, Bree Hall, Justin Jefferson, Jaylen Wadd, Mike Evans, and Harold Fannon Jr. So, we have three wide receivers, a tight end, and two running
31:58backs, FFPC. This is a two flex tight end premium PPR format. So, there we go.
32:05um looking at the and I think I somebody somebody's making fun of me for calling Mike Evans old yes but I'm not trying to
32:12uh go win a million dollars in fantasy football for anyone and Mike Evans is for sure for sure.
32:18>> I also draft a I also draft a little differently especially on FFPC where we're only required to start two wide
32:23receivers where I I pretty much like to be done at wide receiver by the time uh Casey Conpsion and Don Stribbling are
32:32off the board. Like at least I previously I could have argued for Jaden Higgins. Um but like I really just wrap
32:39it up with Quinton Johnston, Jaden Reed, KC, and Stribbling and then I'm done at wide receiver because I I think I have a
32:45lot less faith in these like late round wide receiver darts than you do.
32:50>> Well, I I think you just named a number of the names and and those guys used to be double digit round guys and now sort
32:55of are going to be living where we're going. Like the 712 801, this is the upside wide wide receiver range. The one
33:02guy you didn't mention is I think I'm open-minded to Matthew Golden when he's there at like the 1001. Uh he could be
33:08there at the 912. I think he gives you a little bit of upside outcomes. I think all of the Green Bay wide receivers are
33:14sort of fun clicks this year. Uh I Luke Musgrave is is injured. Tucker Craft there's always a chance of reagravation.
33:21Um and then if you have a Watson injury or you have a Jaden Reed injury, you know, I think that that that Golden also
33:27has a pathway there. Um, we see Chris Godwin go off the board at the 703.
33:31We're starting to see his ADP climb up.
33:34I think people are just just eating their vegetables on the fact that Chris Godwin is here. Uh, team three has gone
33:40wild on this one, though. I will say team three that was fantastic value.
33:44This is very like this is like a Sean Seagull uh 2020 team. Uh, John, where you've got now six wide receivers inside
33:53of seven rounds with DeAndre Swift the lone running back. Uh, I wonder if I wouldn't have uh taken a Kenneth Gainwell there over a Tate, even though
34:02Tate has this incredible uh talent.
34:05Gainwell could have maybe gotten you through. That would have been my only push back on team number three. I really like uh going with that that extreme of
34:11a zero RB build usually, but you had a chance to sort of catch up there. What do you think about that build with team
34:17three, John?
34:18>> It's it's too much. Uh again, start you start two wide receivers, you flex two wide receivers at most. uh tight end
34:26premium allows for outs too. So I I think we had a really good build going even adding Carnell Tate, but then
34:32afterwards you should just be done in FFPC at wide receiver.
34:36>> Yeah, and I think there's there you really should have pivoted off the Godwin pick. I think Godwin is a really
34:41good one um in theory, but not as your wide receiver six there. Starting to see another mini wide receiver run here in
34:48round seven as people start cleaning up the position. Marvin Harrison Jr., Chris Godwin, DK Mechaf, Juan Delale Robinson.
34:56Robinson uh is starting to go inside round seven. It's another guy where I think people are understanding he's going to have a strong role. We saw him
35:03last year take his game to another level. Now we're in Tennessee where they have offensive line issues. I know we have their offensive line ranked very
35:11low. I know ETR does as well. John, your thoughts on Wandale? I can't get with Wandale ahead of BTJ. BTJ just goes at
35:18the 707 there. I think that's a really good value for him.
35:24>> Uh yeah, Wellell's perfectly fine in this kind of format. You know exactly the kind of player he is. Perhaps his
35:30route tree expands, but I also then question if if Cam Ward can lift anyone, let alone Wandell even with like the
35:37first wide receiver drafted in this class and Carnell Tate beside him. So I expect Wandell to produce like actually average more points per game than
35:45Carnell Tate, but I still question the ceiling in that offense from Cam Ward.
35:51I hear you. Uh, and we are four picks away here. We're going to be doubletapping the two players at the 712
35:57and 801. We have six guys in our queue.
36:01I like where your head's at on this one.
36:04Uh, you're going to start having the temptation of quarterback. Uh, we are going to try to resist it here, John. I
36:10feel like every time you pull a trigger on quarterback in this range, you feel really good for a little bit and then
36:15you get to round 12 and you're like, I should have waited.
36:18>> They're all sexy, too. I know, but there's only two off the board, which means the tier is large still and even
36:24the elite tier. Also, I have a feeling like we may we might start setting something up for a later round quarterback here at the turn.
36:34>> 100% agree with you on that one. We see Michael Pitman go. More wide receivers continue to go off the board. We're one
36:40pick away and there's the first three guys in our queue, I think, are awesome awesome selections for us. I think the
36:47top two guys are easy clicks here.
36:51>> I mean, you could you could twist my arm here on players two and three. Le let's talk it out here because they're they're
36:57all going to be gone. And this makes it actually very easy cuz I was going to argue for Casey Conpsion and dribbling
37:03and we just go wide receiver, wide receiver with these two exciting rookies. But I think this is we don't really need to to draw this out. I think
37:11stribbling is definitely one of the picks. I'll I'll also make a slight little argument here to consider Dallas Goddard. We could we Dalton Concaid I
37:21love where your head's at. I think Goddard's also very interesting especially considering that Mai Lemon's been still out the gate. So I think
37:27dribbling is definitely one. Why don't you talk Kade versus Gddard? And then I also see the two running backs in the
37:34queue. I just I feel like it's it's less of an edge to go with one of those guys, but Jaka Crosky Merritt absolutely has
37:42uh looks like he's got the starting job.
37:44Blake Corum as maybe the highest contingent upside in fantasy. Uh so curious which way you want to go here, King Gddard or pivot to a running back?
37:55>> Uh Dallas Gardert for his career with AJ Brown has been targeted on 27% of his routes for 2.8 8 yards per route run
38:03with Brown off the field. So for added context, both of those marks would have ranked second among all tight ends last
38:10year. I'm not saying Dallas Scotter is going to finish second among all tight ends, but it's an offense I truly believe has uh as high of a ceiling as
38:19anyone in the league, including the Rams, uh with new play caller Shawn Manny and pulling all the strings here and still elite talent around here. So
38:28uh if you want to go y over, >> do it. I I'll let I'll let you pick because they're very close for me, John.
38:33Cancade or Goddard? I think we go tight end, though.
38:38>> Gosh, I don't >> Let's go your guy, Conincaid. Let's go your guy, Conincaid.
38:41>> No, we went got >> Okay, we went gotd. Okay, so we went also we we both seen Jaylen Herz fall
38:48immensely. This sets up a backdoor stack correlation with Jaylen Herz or Brock Party later on.
38:56>> Yeah, we're we're we are wide open here.
38:58I mean, I think in a nutshell, if we didn't have Harold Fannon Jr., um, and we were swinging for the ultimate
39:04upside, it would probably be King Cade, but I think Goddard is just you're going to have so many weeks in the season, you
39:10can just straight up flex him. And he's 20% plus target share. Uh, last year get got 11 touchdown grabs and should have a
39:18massive red zone role for this offense.
39:20So, yeah, I'm with you. I think I think Goddard is a fun pick there, but King Kaid also would have been a fun one. In
39:26hindsight, we probably should have grabbed Brooks Seridarian Price over Harold Fannon. Um, and then we could have double tapped Concincaid and
39:35Goddard. Concaid uh obviously led all tight ends his entire position with a 27% target per run rate last year. And I
39:42know everyone then size and says, "Yeah, but he didn't run as many routes." So, of course, it was a high rate he was
39:48targeted on. But also, you don't have to squint to just say, "Hey, if he's healthy, he's going to run more routes."
39:54and the target tree is still wide open either alongside or behind Gigi Moore.
39:58So, he's just an athletic first round receiving prospect uh that could easily break out in his third year.
40:10>> So, we see nine wide receivers, excuse me, uh what is that? That's 10 wide receivers inside round seven and then
40:16Quinton Johnston goes at the beginning of round eight. So, a real wide receiver run. Now, we're starting to see tight end cleanup. We see Brenton Strange,
40:23Dallas Goddard, and Daltton Concaid all go. This is what we're talking about when we say weight on quarterback. There is still only two quarterbacks off the
40:31board. People are playing quarterback chicken here. I I think you're going to start seeing I mean the the dream for the AJ Brown manager at at the sitting
40:41there at the at the 812. Could he last all Drake May last all the way to the 812? That's one of the most commonly
40:48rostered stacks in this tournament, but it feels like the right kind of chalk.
40:52You also have the Jamar Chase manager just sitting there that might get access to Joe Burrow at the 810. So stacks are
40:59starting to be lining up for some of these managers here. Um Blake Corm goes off the board to team six as their
41:05running back three. I like that value, John. There's going to be some running backs for us when we pick next. Uh so I
41:12feel fine about it. I do think that since we're so fragile, EMTT Johnson and also Brilan Allen makes some sense for
41:19this build. Not at the next turn, but a little bit later on, handcuffing when you're fragile. I think in this sort of
41:25tournament, it's a little bit easier argument to make than just uh handcuffing just to handcuff as like your when you've loaded up the running
41:31backs. But we want to ensure that we get access to uh those Kansas City Chiefs running back points. And I think Emma
41:37Johnson's next guy there. Uh Nikki Banks in the chat. I have a draft tonight, too. I'm I'm doing a double header here.
41:44Drafting with John Dagel, drafting with Jared Small. Make sure you listen to John. Make sure you listen to Jared. Two really smart guys. Uh and John, so far
41:51so good. We should draft together more often because this is easy. And we also haven't yelled at each other yet or
41:56really gotten into it over guys. I think we've been pretty wide open on uh both guys are sort of values here.
42:01>> I'm not the person you call to to yell.
42:04I'm I'm too passive and understand when drafting with someone, there's always a give and take like a marriage. So, uh I'm not the yeller. I'll always meet in
42:12the middle with somebody.
42:18>> Yeah, you your established the run uh drafts can get a little crazy sometimes.
42:21Are you doing any of the ones with Leoni and and Silva and all that kind of stuff? Are those coming up?
42:26>> They're actually doing a main event, I believe, this afternoon or evening after this draft. So, everyone can tune in to
42:32the Establish the Run YouTube channel to check it out. Not only that, but on Tuesday, we released our big plan with
42:41uh for running backs in home leagues this year. So, just our strategies from the front, back, and middle of drafts.
42:46Uh lots of micro takes on players, too.
42:49But I think it's pretty uh it's I have a great idea of how to give you the how to fit the puzzle
42:57together for you and all your leagues this year, but like the directions you paint the puzzle pieces are how you're just going to have to subjectively like
43:05do it do it on your own, but like we know from the front, we've already talked about it on this show, from the
43:11front, you really don't have an opportunity outside of 10 team leagues to double tap running back confidently given that you know that second range of
43:18running backs is the ones that have historically been misses because we're all overconfident in the dead zone. So, uh, we go into a lot of that strategy on
43:26that show.
43:30>> So, I think I misread the team in the three hole. They pass on Joe Burrow there. They take Rico D. I think that
43:38they're going to go with Caleb Williams next pick if I'm trying to predict it because they have Luther Bird and DeAndre Swift. I think they're leaning
43:44into that Chicago offense. Uh we see Drake May go off the board to the team picking fifth. Uh so the quarterback
43:52three goes off the board here. We'll see if team one here pulls the trigger on a quarterback. They take JK Dobbins as
43:59their running back four. They pass on QB. I think people are just playing a little bit of quarterback chicken and then they do go Joe Burrow. So Joe
44:05Burrow goes to team number one. So now we're going to start seeing the quarterback run. Predicting that the team in the three hole still selects
44:13Caleb Williams here. We'll see though.
44:14on. I wish I could actually bet on the picks like we bet on the NFL draft prop bets. I wish we had some guy like taking
44:20live bets on what's the next pick going to be. I would make a ton of money in these FFPC drafts.
44:26>> Uh we're going to have some choices when it comes back. But yes, I think both of us are kind of hoping that we have a a
44:35competent tier of running backs that we can choose from because we do need at least one.
44:44>> Yeah, I think we're going to there's going to be quarterbacks for us for sure. I mean the correlation there and I
44:49think the fail safe is if you get if you get stuck here you can wait and take bon nicks at the uh the the the 1302 the 12
44:58the 1212 something like or the 1201 uh the 112. Bonix I think is sort of the fail safe if you have Wadd. But I think
45:05you know Pertie is going to be there and and so is Jaylen Herz if I had to predict it. Uh team number one's doing a
45:10very nice job. I'm in a couple of dynasty leagues with with that manager.
45:14very noted dynasty manager, real manag genius in these uh FFPC streets. We see Jordan Mason go with the 902. So, the
45:21zero RB uh team uh gets sniped on that one. That would have been a nice one. I think they're going Caleb Williams.
45:26We'll see. Or do they push a running back here? Uh Rico Dattle fell to them at the 810 to go with that six wide
45:34receiver start and DeAndre Swift. Uh we'll see. Uh and and nobody likes Bo Knicks. John, do do you hate Bo Knicks,
45:41too? I I've been getting push back on this one. I've taken Bo Knicks and again guys, we're talking about like round 14
45:47that round 13, but Bo Knicks quarterback 11 last year, quarterback eight the year before. They add Jaylen Wadd. He's got mobility. We like the offensive line.
45:56Where are you at on Bo Knicks this year as sort of a late QB2 option?
46:01>> Not hate at all. Uh I think his price is completely fair. That entire tier is flat. uh like he belongs in the same
46:08tier as as Jared Goff for example, but there's like four or five quarterbacks if not more shoved in between. So, I
46:16think it's totally fine. You know what you're getting with the the rushing mobility. The schedule's significantly tougher. We don't know the really the
46:22true recovery of his injury. Sounds like he's going to be fine, but we don't know if that's going to limit the mobility.
46:27So, I think there's a lot of question marks, but his price is completely fair as a fringe QB1.
46:34>> Yeah, I I think he's interesting. Again, you don't need to double. You don't need to take these QB2s because a lot of
46:39times the QB1's fall. I think just really it's when the edge is presented.
46:45That's sort of when you dive into this is the time to take quarterback in these in these sort of formats. Um yeah, it's
46:52it's never like you never feel like pressure this year. Um but if you're if you're stuck and it's a wide receiver,
46:57running back, tight end that you think lacks upside, I think that's the time you pull the trigger and you get one of
47:02these higher upside QBs. I'm putting one guy into consideration in the queue, John, that we really didn't consider, but probably shouldn't be available in
47:11this range as well.
47:13If he's there at the 912, I think he's a conversation.
47:21And I think our wide receiver room is looking good. Tight end, we have two tight ends. We're we're pretty open with
47:28this pick.
47:32I think we have a discussion between the quarterbacks and the top running back is who I'm most confident in.
47:41>> Yeah, I I'm with you. And there's a chance he's gone. So, we'll we'll see.
47:45He's been he's kind of hard to predict in these drafts.
47:49Uh and I think wide receiver-wise, I don't necessarily see one that we need to push up into this this consideration.
47:55I think we're pretty good there after the uh the dribbling pick. Uh, but there are some enticing wide outs. I'll just
48:02throw one guy in the queue just for for discussion.
48:08And there we see Jaylen uh Jaylen Herz went.
48:14>> Makes the choice a little bit easier.
48:17That means we are most likely safe because 111 already has Jackson. Yeah, it makes the choice a lot bit easier.
48:24We'll see what two teams do. We see Mai Lemon go Mai Lemon goes off the board.
48:29Uh that's we've been seeing him fall a little bit later than that.
48:35This could be a nice run out for us, John.
48:38>> I agree.
48:41>> We're we're at least going to get one, I think, fantastic value here, but we'll see uh which way these guys
48:49go.
48:54This is this is the most tilted I've been so far in in this draft. This pick here.
49:01>> Uh we'll see because there's there's one guy. Yes.
49:06>> Okay. So, why don't you talk up talk up the uh the ideas here, but I think it's fairly clear to me that we just take the
49:13top two guys in the queue. Uh unless we're missing someone. We don't have correlation, but Jaden Daniels at the 912 1001,
49:22it it feels awesome. And I can't I don't really see a reason to pass on him here unless you really want to force the the
49:30party correlation.
49:32What do you want to do here? Let's let's lock in Katon Mitchell. Uh John, you good with that?
49:38>> Yep. No, I mean I know there's the correlation I've I've been talking up, but the fact that an elite quarterback
49:46fell here, uh, what do you think the edge is? Let me ask that. What is the what is the actual edge in having Perty
49:53here over Jaden Daniels?
49:56>> There's none. I have Jaden Daniels ranked way ahead of him and I think that if Pertie falls, we could be a two QB
50:01build. Uh, because we're getting our first quarterback off the board at the 1001. Let's take Jaden Daniels and not look back. Yep.
50:09>> Jane Daniels and Katon Mitchell. That's a that's a really good run out for us.
50:13Um, you know, we we go with the two older guys in the eighth round and the and the sixth round in Evans and
50:21Goddard. And it feels like we just got a lot more upside with Katon Mitchell and Jaden Daniels there at the the 910 turn.
50:30I think that's a that's a really really nice run out for us. Mitchell as a running back three is an interesting
50:36one. uh because I do think he's going to have some viability in the flex potentially get get you by sort of RB2
50:44weeks and if Amari and Hampton misses time I understand Kamani Videll would have a really strong role but Katon Mitchell would just be awesome if
50:51Hampton missed time and I think Brett Whitefield podcasted we recorded a show it's going to probably drop this weekend uh right here on the podcast and YouTube
50:59feed but Brett made a made a statement that he thinks Katon Mitchell should be the highest drafted RB2 in football.
51:07Uh, loves the weekly viability and also the the upside. I know you're into Katon Mitchell as well. Sort of what's your bull case on him. And what's
51:15the bullcase like him if Hampton plays the whole year?
51:18>> Well, Triion Henderson should obviously be the highest drafted RB2. He's already shown us.
51:22>> Well, that's Yeah, that's that's that.
51:24Yeah. Yeah.
51:24>> He's quite literally like the number one overlook that. Yeah.
51:29>> Yeah. He's quite obviously like the number one running back in the league.
51:32if uh if if Reandre Stevens get injured, he showed us already he'll compete as a top five guy. But uh but for Katon
51:38Mitchell, yeah, the outlook is is wonderful. I think everyone's getting too caught up in like what how few touches Katon Mitchell can have behind
51:47Omar and Hampton when Mike McDaniel has already shown us back in 2023 that he elevated both Raheem Moert and Devon Achan to finish as the RB4 and RB5 in
51:58points per game simultaneously. Uh Keaton Mitchell's also averaged 6.8 yards per touch. And Kamani Vidal, a sixthround running back who's not tied
52:08to this play caller whatsoever. Like remember when Omarian Hampton came back uh from his injury, that's when Kami Badal then really just took a backseat
52:18again. But whenever Hampton was out there uh when he started for Hampton, I should say, he was only targeted on 12%
52:25of his routes. Like he he's not a guy that you trust whatsoever. you started him just because he was going to get
52:31touches because Hassan Haskins was the only player behind him. But now it's not the case. Now it's Katon freaking Mitchell. I think it's going to be more
52:38obvious that when to start, when to flex Katon Mitchell than a lot of people perceive even if he's a guy we starting
52:45with eight to 10 touches weekly as opposed to a wide receiver who's with bad quarterback play and the targets are not coming to fruition. So I really like
52:54Katon Mitchell.
52:59We see Terrence Ferguson go uh inside around 10. He's moved up considerably.
53:04Mark Andrews also. So, we see two tight ends go off the board inside of round 10. Another little mini wide receiver
53:11around run here. Jaden Reed, Jordan, Matthew Golden, Romeo Dubs, and Dubo Samuel all go inside around uh inside of round 10. And then we see another
53:20quarterback go off the board right after Jaden Daniels with Caleb Williams. So quarterbacks really living in this draft inside of round eight, round nine, and
53:28round 10. And you're still seeing really strong quarterback values still on the board. Trevor Lawrence still on the board. Uh obviously Dak Prescott still
53:36on the board, Brock Party still on the board. Uh quarterbacks really in FFPC drafts. Certain one-off drafts are falling and falling. Uh we see the team
53:45who is the zero RB start. They end up with Rashad White as their running back three. John Rashad White or is it Jaka
53:52Kroski Merritt? recent uh ADP uh you know the the increase in ADP for him. Is that merited? I know White missed a
54:00little time. Uh where you at on this backfield situation in Washington?
54:04>> I haven't budged. I've been on Jaka Crosky merit this entire time. You know, ever since Rashad White led the Bucks in
54:09touches in 2023, that organization only gave him fewer touches because they know the kind of player he is. He's not really someone you trust. Can he step in
54:17in the interimm if Jakori Crosky Merritt is injured? Sure. But just taking a big picture approach, Krosky Merritt is going two rounds later than he was last
54:26year. So, he's a discounted secondyear running back that's already like an arc type and just the the type of profile that we want to snag in drafts. And when
54:34you look at him as a runner, you know, will the receiving profile come along?
54:38Probably not. Let's all be honest. Seven career receptions in college, nine career nine receptions as a rookie. But his rate of 10 yard runs, so his
54:46explosive rate of carries finished sandwiched between Bejan Robinson and Dererick Henry because Jakory Crossit was a very good player. So it's just an
54:55easy second round discount or second year discount to bet on.
55:00>> Yeah, I think I think you're right. I was high on Rashad White. I've had to lower him in my rankings. Jakory
55:05Kimmerit was sort of like my guy last year. Um, so we were getting a lot of people to draft him in like round four,
55:11round five of Dynasty drafts and then round 18 he was sort of an automatic click in baseball drafts and then he
55:17kept moving up. Um, so I felt like I was kind of abandoning my guy. I've had to uh do a correction here. I think that's
55:23sort of the the way that the Washington beat reporters are sort of approaching it that White's going to have this pass
55:29catching role, but I think the carries are going to go to Krosky Merritt early on and they've talked about his improvement as a receiver in year two.
55:36John, a lot of times we see year 2 backs take a big leap in production in terms of the trust that teams give them as
55:43pass catchers. Uh if we see that with Krosky Merritt, then he's a a real value uh where he's going in drafts. Jordan
55:49Tyson continues to uh sit on the board.
55:52Just a terrible terrible situation for Tyson. If you had to bet a bet money on it, when do you think we see him back,
55:58John?
56:00>> Uh week what's the what's the Paris game? Week seven when they have to go to Paris. Yeah, I think it's like week I
56:06think it's week Yeah, week nine would be my guess.
56:09>> They're not going to ramp him up a full week ahead to play overseas. So, I would imagine it's when they come back in week
56:15eight. Uh but, uh he's not a player we should take off our board entirely. Uh we knew the red we knew the red flags
56:23and injury. He was creating buzz in camp like so much so that Nick Underhill thought he was going to outproduce Chris
56:29Ave. So, like with this kind of build, we don't necessarily need him until later. Uh, I would I would absolutely just draft him in our range.
56:37>> Yeah, I'm with you. The only problem is you've got to hold him uh through all these waiverwire weeks and then through
56:43the start of by weeks. But yeah, Tyson at the 1201, it would be a perfect bridge, John, because Mike Evans once he
56:49goes down for the season being all old, uh, we can just put in Tyson when he comes out. So, there we go. Jordan Tyson
56:55goes off the board, though. So, we don't get that option here. Uh, we have three players in the queue and we we are two
57:03picks away. So, we need to add maybe one or two other guys in here. One of these other guys would be sort of a luxury pick for us.
57:12>> But structure, >> let me scroll down just a bit here.
57:20>> I'm pretty confident. And two and three.
57:25>> Okay. So, what's the preferred pick here, John? Coker goes off the board. I say we take I think for me, I like Tank
57:34Bsby a lot here.
57:38>> I I say we wrap this up. I say we just go ahead and get our second quarterback because Big Gorillas, everyone takes two
57:45quarterbacks, right?
57:47>> Yeah. I mean, it's not ne necessary, but we do have a double bet on San Francisco. And I think Pertie and we
57:52also get the the people love when I say it. We get the free look on Perty as well. So I I think Pertie's fine here. I
57:58I think >> Okay. So I think it's Bsby. I see you put another running back in the range, but if it's a contingent upside guy, I'd
58:05much rather go with the one on the better offense. I think you could sort of maybe have some usable weeks with the
58:11other guy. But the usable weeks with Bsby would be really really fun ones if Saquon missed any time. I think he's
58:18very talented.
58:20>> Uh I agree. No, I'm I'm not arguing for that player who might come back to us, too, by the way.
58:24>> Yeah, overtakeby. I just I just put him in the queue to remind ourselves.
58:29>> Okay, cool. We'll keep that that name sort of on the low there. But another nice run out for us. Uh, you know, some
58:34people might be critical of the decision to go Perie and Daniels back to back, but I think when you start out with your
58:41quarterback in round 10, you know, you're still diving into the correlation that we have with Pertie Stribbling and Evans. There also could be some weeks
58:49where we just want to start Brock Perie.
58:51You also have with Jaden Daniels. I love Jaden Daniels. I'm betting for a big bounceback year, but we saw him get
58:56injured last year and sort of the way he plays, John, there's a there's a chance for reagravation and also just holding
59:03these two guys all season long. It's it's perfectly fine. So, uh, and somebody points out, yeah, last year pretty missed some time last year, too.
59:10So, I think it works out very well. We get our quarterbacks in rounds 10 and rounds 11. So, we have the flexibility
59:17and the luxury of doubletapping. We also get Tank Bsby as our running back four.
59:23So, a quick little recap of how our team looks right now. And I'll scroll back down in a minute. We start out round one
59:30with Kenneth Walker. We go Justin Jefferson in round two. Bree Hall in round three. Jaylen Wadd goes in round four. Harold Fannon goes in round five.
59:39Mike Evans inside of round six. Dejon Stribbling we take at the 712 goes one pick after Casey Conpsion. So instead of
59:48going wide receiver, wide receiver, we go stribbling with Dallas Goddard, the tight end out of Philly. And we took him ahead of Daltton Concincaid. Uh kind of
59:57a a little a little tilting on that one, John, but I like the way it looks. Then we get Katon Mitchell at the 912. And
60:04then we take Jaden Daniels at the 1001.
60:07Brock Pury comes back to us. So we take our quarterback, too. And then we take Tank Bsby, the handcuff running back in
60:14Philly. And now we're going to start seeing a lot of the handcuffs go off the board. Mike Washington, who's been moving up and up and up. Uh he goes at
60:22the uh two picks behind Bsby. We see Tai Spears and we see Tyler Algier. I've seen Algier it as in some one-off drafts
60:31starting to be drafted like really highly. John, um I can't really get with that one. I think it's sort of a what
60:38are you betting on with Algier right now? Uh in an offense that's not that good. And then Jeremiah Love doesn't look like he's going to miss any time.
60:45It's I guess you have the potential for reagravation when you hear high ankle sprain, but it just feels like sort of a
60:51low upside bet for me. Am I wrong on on Algier here? In in I understand baseball, he's got some viability, but
60:58in reddraft manage leagues, I I'm not really into it.
61:02>> Uh, I agree with you. I think he's a fine contingency option, but I believe we're really looking at a running back
61:09by committee against the toughest projected schedule in the league. So, it just the conversation ends there for me.
61:15I'm fine with it at at a good ADP. I don't know necessarily if this is a good ADP. I'd much rather take shots on
61:22upside guys who could uh explode, just have a better outlook entirely regardless of whether the starter's injured or not. Kyle Mungai, if he's
61:31healthy, fits into that. Woody Mars, we already saw get 20 touches per game in the playoffs. Marshon Lloyd could overthrow Josh Jacobs, not saying it's
61:39going to happen. That's in his range of outcomes. Tank Bsby, I believe, is the number one handcuff in all of fantasy
61:45football. Mike Washington. Uh, my god, Mike Washington, you want to talk about boosting your outlook just because of preeason. The guy's a walking explosive
61:55play that's going to earn Keaton Mitchell like five to eight touches per game just because of the preseason. So, I just rather bet on those guys than
62:02Tyler Algier.
62:03>> Yeah, I'm I'm with you. Mike Washington certainly moving up and up and up. Uh, like the way this team is going. We're
62:09not done yet. We are about 10 picks away. I'm going to start loading up the queue. Uh, we see Daltton Schultz go
62:16inside of this round. I think people were making fun of me the other day when I I was suggesting Schultz and I've
62:21drafted him a couple of times. He might be the beneficiary of the of the Jaden Higgins injury. Last year, Daltton Schultz was top three in targets and
62:30catches at the tight end position. I read a report today about how uh Xavier Hutchinson they're going to lean on as a
62:37wide receiver, too. Um, it sounds like Jaylen Noel and obviously t I think Dell would have a say, but Schultz is going
62:44to have a strong role again, John. He's boring, but he's like tight end 21 on underdog right now.
62:50>> Yeah, Schultz, Jawan Johnson was also a very big winner. Um, I still love I I've mentioned it for best baseball that
62:56Michael Mayer is my highest roster percentage in baseball. I still like him in reddraft, too. Like I I kind of think
63:05he's the he's the the Terrence Ferguson, right? That's not being called Terrence Ferguson and that Kubiaak dropped back from two tight end sets at the second
63:14highest rate in the league last year.
63:15There's no wide receiver competition behind Brock Bowers. So here's Michael Mayer. Even in the preseason, I don't take away much from the preseason, but
63:23even in the preseason, no team is running more two tight end sets than the Raiders. Like that tells you what they're going to do. So, Michael Mayer,
63:30you know, uh, a terrific prospect who just gets overshadowed by a better tight end prospect than Brock Bowers. I love Michael Mayer.
63:38>> Yeah. I mean, I think there's a there's a scenario where Mayor, especially in the tight end premium format of FFPC, is
63:44viable. We we've heard like not a whole lot of positivity about the wide receivers there. I think that offense is going to be about as much Brock Bowers
63:52as humanly possible. 160 targets or so, 150 targets for Bowers. Then you look at the wide receivers. Is there a scenario
63:59where Mayor could be like the number four target, maybe the number three target. Um I think Agent Genti is also going to be highly utilized in the
64:07passing game. But if anything were to happen to Brock Bowers, Mayor would be a just massive waiverwire pickup that Y was he was a top five tight end last
64:16year whenever Bowowers missed.
64:18>> Yeah, you're right about that for sure.
64:19Loaded a couple of interesting players in the queue. you could take a look and and load in a couple of your guys as
64:24well, but I have four players that I think would be fun options here at the uh 1314Q.
64:31I'm also going to load in It's about this time, John, of of of names here. Um I don't really see a tight end that I I
64:42feel like is necessary for us to put us to push in this range. And I think we're in pretty good shape there. I'm going to
64:47put one tight end in the queue for us to take a look at later. Uh based on this build, I think it's it could end up
64:53being viable. Um I think we're looking at the top two guys in the queue, unless there was somebody else you wanted to
65:01make a an argument for. I'm shuffling I'm shuffling some guys around, but um uh I would ask, is it too early for
65:09number four?
65:11>> No, this is late. I think I'm looking there, but we have some picks before us.
65:20>> Yeah, I think I think we'll talk about it. We got to get there.
65:23>> Um I we're we're really wide open. But I will say like for all the people talking about >> quarterback.
65:31>> Yeah, there you go. So, Brandon Aubrey would have been really really fun there.
65:33Um Brandon Aubrey, the Josh Allen of kickers, especially with with all the 60 yarders he's kicking. I mean, the guy's just unbelievable. Uh he goes earlier
65:41than this. Sometimes you'll see like a random draft where somebody takes them in round 11, round 12. Uh 13th round feels good and 1312 would have been
65:50awesome. And just talking about like quarterbacks like waiting on quarterback in this format. Jared Goff still available. Bo Nick's still available.
65:57Patrick Mahomes, Matthew Stafford. Uh so a number of interesting quarterbacks.
66:02We need to get to this next turn. I really hope our guy does not go. I would like to lock in one player at the top of
66:10the queue. John, and then I think we're looking at it's sort of a structural question for you that we can talk about when we get
66:18there.
66:21All right, one pick. This is hold your breath time for us here.
66:25Hold your breath here, John, because this could be a nice run out for this pick.
66:29It You got to love afternoon tilting at the 1314 turn. This is this is uh one of the underrated aspects of drafting live
66:38in these sort of drafts.
66:40This this manager is taking their sweet time. I think they're deciding between two and four in our queue. I think they're like, "Which one am I taking?"
66:46And I think they're looking at some stuff.
66:52>> Um I'm looking at these defenses.
66:55>> Yeah, that's where I'm at. That's where I'm at. Okay. So then this is for me.
66:58This is pretty easy. This is defense and EMTT Johnson. And we lock down the Kansas City running back room. Uh Emtt
67:07Johnson looks good. I think Andy Reid likes him. If Kenneth Walker missed time, and and it doesn't have to be a
67:12catastrophic injury. Let's say Walker misses two weeks, Emma Johnson goes right into our lineup. If Walker misses five weeks, Emma Johnson could be in our
67:20lineup for five weeks. And I don't think our team dies with Emma Johnson in the lineup with some of the other picks
67:25we've made in this one. So, I think it's Emma Johnson and a defense. Uh, are you good with Emtt Johnson here?
67:32>> I'm good with Emtt Johnson. the elite defenses. My only problem is that they they don't really have great opening schedules or they contradict what we
67:41have. I'm such a big like first month guy as opposed to prioritizing elite defenses against good quarterbacks.
67:49>> Here's the problem with streaming defenses and and I I I this I'll take this from Nelson Susa who's a great high
67:54stakes manager and I split with them.
67:57you end up when you play the streaming game, you end up spending about 20% of your fab on the year on on these
68:03defenses. And John, I mean, what's the downcase scenario of having Denver or Seattle and just set it and forget it?
68:09Like, how many times are you going to really want to bench them? Uh, I mean, Denver, I think Denver defense is elite.
68:15Seattle defense is elite. And if you if we feel terrible about it, we could grab a defense in round 20 that has a good
68:21opening week. In that case, let's just go ahead and grab uh I think Seattle has the best run out here.
68:28>> Okay, so let's take Seattle over Denver.
68:30I think they're fine.
68:31>> They already dominated Drake May in the Super Bowl because Drake May was horrible against cover six. It's the one matchup caveat that no one was talking
68:39about and they get the Cardinals in week two. So that's a that's not a bad run out.
68:43>> Yeah, and I'll say we are open-minded.
68:45We also have the free look with them where they play that opener against New England. Uh so if they don't have a good
68:50uh defensive performance, we will not cut them. We will put them on our bench and we will pick up another defense. So
68:56I think we'll have uh have to be a little more open-minded with cutting somebody we take in the final rounds.
69:01But I I mean it would take New England having a I mean I'm actually that wouldn't be the worst run out for
69:06fantasy managers, John, if I'm sure you wouldn't mind that for your best ball stacks if you had a high-scoring New England Seattle game right out the jump.
69:13But for this particular team, uh, just having the Super Bowl redux would be fantastic for us. Uh, Rams defense, a lot of people talking about the Rams
69:22defense, uh, also in the in the conversation. I think the Rams defense are in play. We saw Houston defense go early. Ultimately, I think Houston,
69:30Seattle, Denver, LA Rams. That's probably about how it shakes out for me.
69:35I think if you're looking for early season matchups, the Chargers have a good one. And if you're looking for I'm going to be the obviously Jacksonville
69:43fading Cleveland week one is a fun streaming option and I think Jacksonville's defense has some upside this year. And if you're looking at hey
69:50I I I don't want to draft the defense at all. I just want to play the matchups the Tennessee Titans against the New
69:56York Jets week one in Tennessee. That could be an ugly one, John, where Tennessee gets the quarterback a bunch and it's just an ugly like I don't know
70:042117 type game with a bunch of sacks. Uh yeah, Robert Salah also like that he him and Brian Dable just brought their guys
70:12over is all they did. But Robert Salah we know like regardless of his how you think his tenure with the Jets went um
70:20he was a terrific defensive play caller.
70:23So uh and getting guys acquiring guys through trades and free agency that know his playbook already. I do actually have like a lot of faith in in the Titans
70:32defense similar to when Mike Brabel coached there and turned chicken [ __ ] into chicken salad every single week and he won coach of the year for it.
70:40>> So we see a number of teams start to go with their second quarterback. Bo Nicks and Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford
70:47all go in round 14 at the start of it.
70:50All to teams with a quarterback. We see two teams without a quarterback. Teams three and teams four were sort of playing chicken a little bit at the
71:00position and now we're seeing the run because Jared Goff also goes off the board to the team with Justin Herbert.
71:06Matthew Stafford, Jackson Dart team, the team before him. Uh Matthew Stafford again gets that free look. So they're going to get a free look with Matthew
71:13Matthew Stafford and they have correlation on that team with Devonte Adams. Not the worst one to have there.
71:20So we're going to see which what team three and team four do at the quarterback position. Do they pull the trigger on with this pick? Uh, I like
71:29the way this team is run out for us.
71:31Just a quick recap, Kenneth Walker, Justin Jefferson. Then we take Bree Hall and Jaylen Wadd. Harold Fannon Jr. and Mike Evans. Then we take Dejon
71:40Stribbling and Dallas. Then we go with Katon Mitchell, Jaden Daniels. We go quarterback quarterback with Brock Perie at the 1112. That fell perfectly for us.
71:52Then we're able to recover at running back a lot with Tank Bsby, a handcuff back that John and I both really like.
71:58Then we take Emtt Johnson, uh, our own handcuff. So, we kind of are able to get by with a fragile running back build. I
72:05think it was very important to handcuff Johnson, especially with Bree Hall, uh, being a little bit banged up out the gate. And now we see the quarterback
72:12run. Uh, team three gets Malik Willis as their first quarterback. Team four takes uncorrelated Baker Mayfield. I'll see if team one uh takes a second quarterback
72:24at this pos at this point and then I'm just going to sort of leave the board alone and if anybody wants me to scroll
72:29up just uh mention it in the chat. We are about to enter uh round 15 drafting a $350 big gorilla attempting to win a
72:38million dollars with John Dagel of Established Run. John, how are you going to spend your 500k when we take down that millie?
72:46>> Uh what do I even want in life? That's the thing. I don't really want for anything. Are you a car guy, John?
72:52>> Uh, I just actually I had a car, but I only used it I'm a public transit guy.
72:58Uh, just because Chicago system is set up really well. I had a car, but the catalytic converter got stolen during the winter. That's how often
73:11took it into the to the mechanic, told me that. Uh, we called because I have a European I had an Audi with a diesel
73:18engine. So, it got 36 miles a gallon. It was perfect. It's paid off since 2014.
73:22It's an amazing car. Then they call uh the Audi dealership. The plus labor, a catalytic converter is going to cost me
73:304,100. This piece of [ __ ] car, this car has 190,000 miles on it. Like, it's not even worth 4,100 alone. So, insurance
73:38paid me for theft and then destroyed the car. So, I no longer have this car. I just have the insurance money and I bike
73:46and bus and train everywhere.
73:49>> And you're a big outdoor cardio guy even in the cold Chicago winters or are you doing a little indoor cardio? What's the
73:54the temperature cut off point for John Dagel not to run outside in Chicago?
73:59>> So gosh, this this is going to give me serial killer vibes, but I actually don't run outside beyond 90. I would say
74:0788. Uh 85 is questioning. So it's the opposite of what you're thinking.
74:11Whereas 30 and under, I run outside because the streets are less busy. And I think there's really something beautiful. You also warm up within two
74:21seconds. Like give you give yourself half a mile and you forget it's neg3 outside. But there's something really romantic and beautiful about being
74:29outside in the Chicago winter when very few people are around you and all you're doing is like listening to a podcast or
74:34audio book just just trotting away.
74:38>> Well, there you go. There you go. John, look for John Dagel in in -3 degrees Chicago. He'll be the one all bundled up
74:45and running. How bundled up beard?
74:47>> I are you are you your gator? You're wearing a gator. You're wearing tights.
74:50You're like runner guy or or >> tights, sneakers. I have a yak tracks that you use to hike in the winter, too,
74:57if I need them to run in. And uh usually two hoodies uh and a knit hat and sometimes the the gator over my beard as
75:07well cuz it icicles but then it becomes way way too hot with a gator on even when it's negative degrees out.
75:13>> So John, they want you to come back to Vegas. I I remember we hung out in Vegas one year. You were at the main event.
75:18I'm going to be at the main event. Uh if you're drafting the FFPC, definitely come and say what's up. Drafting there
75:23on uh Thursday, drafting there on Friday. Uh but Sean G, who's a really good player, um is saying, "John, you got to come back. If you win the 500K,
75:31John, we're we're if we win the 500k, we're we're going to enter the uh the big payback and the high society, and
75:37we'll run those. We'll we'll do a 10K and a 5K together."
75:39>> I I will be back eventually. It's not this year. These last three years, I've had a really hard time balancing
75:47everything going on in my life to fit for traveling during this last month before the season. Vegas is always the hardest. But maybe the NFL expanding and
75:57just being like ridiculous and starting on Wednesday and Thursday nights next year we'll probably have an opening Monday night game. Maybe expanding it to
76:04comical territory makes it easier because the work is just spread out through the week as opposed to jamming everything um on one day before drafts.
76:14Also, the the bare knuckles is still on my bucket list in life. So, I will be there to do the bare knuckles at some
76:19point in my life.
76:20Yeah, those bare knuckles drafters.
76:22Anybody who hasn't seen that in FFPC, it's no sheet, no computer, no phone, no iPad, just braingging everyone next to
76:32you uh for 20 rounds. Couple of really good drafters that Mike Schop has done that one. He's come on this show. Uh my
76:38guy Biplop Mandel who's a really good FFPC manager, he's done that one a bunch of times. But John, that you if you if
76:45you did that, I think the high EV one is to sort of split it with a partner and you have do the first 10 rounds and the
76:52second 10 rounds and just sort of memorize it. Okay, so we're OTC here. I like who you have at the top of the key.
76:57I think we just take them.
76:59>> Mhm.
76:59>> We take our kicker of choice here.
77:01>> You talked about 60 yard field goals. Uh Cam Little kicked more than Brandon Aubrey. So let's just go ahead and get
77:08those distances. Cam Little.
77:09>> Yeah, don't pull the trigger yet because let's talk about the next pick here.
77:13um and give ourselves a little longer to talk about it. I like where your head's at with number four, but I feel like
77:20you're going to have to hold him for a long time.
77:22>> I think that w with number six, it's not that exciting, but he plays that opener so you have a chance of seeing him with
77:30the free look.
77:32>> Let's uh let's put in Little and then we can kind of talk about it and see if we're maybe missing anybody. Okay, so
77:38let's take Cam Little >> now. How committed are you to Nick Singleton?
77:43Uh, I wouldn't say I'm overcommitted, but I do like him in this build. But you are right. It's going to be a slow burn
77:51when we're probably talking about eight weeks where we have him stashed. So, that's just a a zero on the roster until
77:56he potentially breaks out. That's not guaranteed.
77:59>> Number three is going to be there next time we pick. I've seen him go really really late. So, if you want to He's
78:04another guy where him two and three in our in our options, you're not going to be able to churn them. It's like if you
78:11draft them, you're basically drafting two handcuffs and you're going to have to sit on them because there's literally no scenario where you'd cut him week
78:18one. So, I think for us here, if we want access to one, we just take him here early. The better bet is probably four.
78:27He has a free look and he's got a full-time roll. I think it's one or four, but unless you want two.
78:3410 seconds.
78:35>> Four is fine.
78:37>> Okay. So, let's take him. This is there's nothing exciting. I mean, you know, two touchdowns in in the opener would be exciting, but we take AJ
78:46Barner, there's been good vibes with him uh coming out of Seattle camp. Does that mean more targets? There's also been sort of Elijah Royal looks good, but AJ
78:54Barner, we get the free look, so it's tight end premium. If it ends up being a big AJ Barner game, he goes in the
79:01lineup. And I do think as a tight end three, he's not the worst guy to roster here. He's got a full-time role. I think
79:07they like them. And John, you also have like could we see more of those uh tush push snaps for Barner this year? Maybe a
79:16little wrinkle that they expand on that they did last year with no Kenneth Walker. Uh with no Zack Charbanet. We saw it last year when those guys were
79:24healthy. Where are you at on Barner? It feels like a pick you're kind of disgusted by.
79:29>> No, I mean you know what it is. It's AJ Barner. You're not you're not too excited. uh given that even with like 14
79:35carries and a tush push touchdown, he still wasn't uh even a fringe tight end one. He was a low-end guy. But also at
79:43the same time, there's so much chaos that could ensue without Clint Kubak. We try to get better at this, better projecting and learn from our mistakes
79:52every single year. I would argue that the biggest mistake I made last year that I'm learning from this season was that NFL play callers are extremely
80:02stubborn and they don't just take the freebies that their pre predecessor gave them. Uh Ben Johnson, John Morton learned nothing from him and he had to
80:12get removed from play calling dues mid-season. Kevin Patulo learned absolutely nothing from Shane Stiken and Kell Moore before him. Uh Nick Kayley
80:21came over from Shawn McY learned absolutely nothing from Shawn McY. The list goes on. And so I worry extremely about C Seahawks offense, but that
80:30volatility could also lead to less two tight end sets and AJ Barner just being the main guy out there for more routes.
80:38>> Yeah, I I I'm with you. I've heard your apprehension about this offense. It's certainly probably I mean almost assuredly a play caller
80:47down downgrade because I think Kubak is is elite. Um but there's also a chance that they don't fall off that much and
80:54Barner ends up being you know a year three kind of kind of value. I won't call them a year three breakout, but
80:59I'll call them a year three value. Um and again I like getting access to those free look guys. It's become sort of a
81:06drinking game for people that watch my streams that I say the word free look all the time. But it is something great
81:11about being able to watch that first game. If Barner has a massive game, we just put him in the lineup. If he does
81:16nothing, he stays right on our bench.
81:18Um, and I one thing I will say about this team, um, we have the last few rounds are going to be more fun because
81:25we don't need to push in a kicker or a defense. We've taken to probable edge picks. One position that I think we
81:33should consider with some of these last picks is an upside a a upside wide receiver click, John, because we are we're we have four really good wide
81:43receivers, but we only have four wide receivers. Uh and we'll have uh we'll have three picks left. Uh so four picks
81:50left, excuse me. So we I think at least one of those should be a wide out.
81:56>> I agree.
81:56>> So I load the queue with a couple. Yeah, >> I don't waste the last few rounds on wide receivers, uh, pounding wide
82:03receivers. I think FFPC is best built to round out your kicker and def defense room. Um, and of course tight ends and
82:11and stash running backs later on, not wide receivers in a format that only forces you to start two wide receivers weekly. And so because we went topheavy,
82:21we can then take one more swing on a stash and ask ourselves if they reach their ceiling outcome, who could actually start, logically start over
82:30Mike Evans and Desan Stribbling. And I think we have three guys we will discuss when it gets closer because I don't want
82:36them sniped.
82:38>> That's right. And I I'll say uh Theo this this funny funny comment. I get the um Theo is undefeated in the first week
82:45of FFPC and I get it guys like but you have to understand the big big gorilla when you start talking about the
82:51structure of the format here with the playoff at the end of it. Week one matters a lot. We don't like we don't
82:57want to start out slowly, John. We want to get run out the gate here. Um you know obviously want to be playing our
83:03best highest upside fantasy football as we get towards the playoffs but a 3 and 0 start would be pretty fun as well. We
83:10see team number one loves the guys in our queue. Double double taps uh two wide receivers we had in the queue. Team
83:16number one unsurprisingly is putting together a very very nice build. They also draft Kalin Black at the 1212.
83:23Brilland Allen at 1301. John, I like both of those values for that team. Any thoughts on what you've seen them do in
83:29the back half?
83:30>> No, I like the the values they have in Kenan Allen a stash wide receiver and Trey Harris. Uh Kalin Black is just
83:38naturally kind of like Seth McGawan how he's like regardless of what you think of his profile, they've naturally become their team's direct backups because the
83:46other guy competing DJ Giddens with a second hamstring injury in camp and Jordan James with a rib injury that's held them out for the and for the next
83:54few weeks as well. They've just naturally become the backup running back because the other guy got injured. So yeah, sure. That's the contingency
84:00option for an elite running back.
84:03Looking at our queue right now, I think we need to load a few more names in there just to be safe so we don't have
84:08to scramble here. I've said that, you know, it's always tilting when you get sniped in uh in in a fantasy draft. It's
84:15even more tilting when you get sniped at like the 17 uh 18 turn because you have fewer names that you're really
84:22comfortable about drafting here. Uh yeah, this runout has not been ideal for us in terms of the last few picks. So,
84:29I'm going to load in a few guys. You can load in a few guys.
84:33and we'll see which way this thing goes.
84:37I have one interesting Well, I I have one that I actually really like here that I just put in. He's the bottom of
84:43the queue. Another uh few that I think are are interesting that we could kind of paint a story. I had a a conversation
84:52about which player do we think is going to be uh the the big which actually Allan Silowski asked me this in the NFC
85:02but you start doing the like the mental mental question that I think helps with your light round strategy. Who's a player that you could see being a
85:10massive waiverwire ad in week one that's not routinely selected? because there's always a couple guys like this even in
85:1920 round FFPC NFC. Maybe we'll talk about that as we get to these picks. But I think it's a really fun mental
85:26exercise. John, John, when you do drafts, I know you do a ton of baseball.
85:30I mean, how important is it to you to have those final round picks like in the back of your head? Are you mixing up
85:37variants when you get to the the end endame uh picks or are you like consistently like loading up on the same
85:44guy? It's usually only one or two picks that I'll attempt to correlate. I'm always stacking at best. I prioritize that when nitpicking between players. Uh
85:54even drafting players whose profiles and outlooks I don't like. It doesn't matter because I have a portfolio. So I'm just stacking along with my guys. Uh so I'll
86:02I'll definitely mix it up. even like when I have some last round, you know, because the later stacks in CJ Stra and
86:09the Texans, Malik Willis and the Dolphins and Fernando Mendoza and the Raiders, it really opens up the door for like last round guys. Michael Mayer
86:18always uh pick take your pick between the Dolphins wide receivers just for stacking purposes even though I question whether any of them will actually be
86:25usable for seasonl long leagues. And then the Texans have always been an easy one to just grab Tank Dell or Jay Lenol
86:31later on. Um, so yeah, it's I really just correlate with whatever quarterbacks I have.
86:37>> Two picks away from uh the the 1712. And I'll give a shout out to Justin Herszig who who does a great job for you guys.
86:44He's always talked about the importance of these like last few picks in baseball. And I think in baseball people sort of like they try to hit this grand
86:51slam with like some guy, some deep threat who maybe could give you one big spike week when really they should be
86:57grabbing like usable guys. little bit different for us in reddraft for sure because we have the ability to hit the waiver wire. So chasing upside's fine,
87:05but I do think FFPC a couple little little uh wrinkles here with the free look and also with the tight end premium
87:12and and with the two flexes. So I'm very much into Malachi Fields with one of these two picks. I don't know how
87:19open-minded you are to this one, but I think he's the wide receiver too there.
87:24Uh he's going to be on the field the whole time. It feels like that's the guy that I think could be a big waiverwire
87:29ad early on. Um really open-minded to anyone you want here, but I just wanted to throw his name out there into
87:34consideration, John.
87:38>> Yeah, I gosh, the the heart wants to say Tank Dale, but the brain knows Tank Dell's probably done. Uh that's the
87:46issue.
87:47>> I think it's Fields and I and I as much as we need another wide receiver, I think the wide receivers we have in the
87:53queue, somebody could come back. I think if you're cool with it, I'm going to put in Fields.
87:57>> Yep. Go for it.
87:58>> Okay. So, we're taking Fields. Okay. And now this pick Dell I I agree. I mean, Dell the run out could be really great
88:06for him, but it feels like a a wishful thinking and us kind of rooting for him.
88:12I'll say if we want Jake Tanis for the free look and the fact that we have all this San Francisco correlation, if KD
88:18sits that first game, couldn't you see a scenario where Tanis has like six catches, 55 yards, and maybe a touchdown? Um, I mean, I think it's it's
88:28a it's a good situation for us. And then the other guys I think could all come back. Ryan Florenoi, if you want to hold
88:36Florenoi, he'll be the one that's taken.
88:38So, it's Tanis or Floroi for me. Uh, I will take Tanis in this case.
88:43>> Okay, let's take Tanjis and then we'll talk about it. So, I mean, I think it's your thoughts on Florenoi because he's
88:50like, man, he looks good, John. He looks great. I mean, every time we see a highlight of the guy, uh, he looks
88:56fantastic, but it's another one of those where need a you need a injury really for him to take off. Um, your thoughts on Florenoi just rostering
89:06him? I think it would would have been the same problem with potentially rostering Travis Hunter where you're kind of pot committed to holding these
89:13guys if you take him here. Worst thing ever would be Florenoi. You you draft him, he's slow out the gate in week one
89:20or week two and then you have a lamb or pickings injury and you're leaving like this 500 50% fab guy on the waiver wire.
89:28So that's just my problem with those kind of guys. Your your thoughts here, John?
89:34uh on on Jake Tongis and the and what he can do if he starts >> or and also just the the Florenoi
89:41argument.
89:41>> Oh, for Feno. Sorry, I got messed up in the conversation.
89:44>> Oh, yeah. We already saw Fenoi be a a a contingency wide receiver last year.
89:50Step in in two wide receiver sets whenever CD Lamb was injured. So, that's pretty much what you're banking on. I still question the overall script of the
89:59Cowboys offense. Uh, their defense is going to be league average, if not better than league average this year.
90:04Everything's changed. Whenever they got Quinn Williams, they they became a top three rushing defense and EPA per carry.
90:10Thus, they were a pass funnel. I don't even know if they're going to be necessarily a pass funnel this year because they've added so much in free
90:16agency. Caleb DS, who is was potentially argued as the best defender in the entire class, moving around at safety for for Christian Parker as well, who's
90:25a much more intuitive play caller than Matt Ebloose was. And so I kind of question the plays per game and the game
90:31scripts we're going to see from the Cowboys overall. Um, but will they be explosive? Do they still have elite top heavy talent? Absolutely. So I think
90:38Fenoy is just fine. But I I can't ever like the outlook of actually starting him or flexing him during by-weeks if
90:46everyone's healthy. I think that's really thin still personally. But you know the contingency value you're getting.
90:52>> Yeah. I mean even if they're in heavy 11, Ferguson's not going to disappear.
90:57Um, so yeah, I think I think you're you're right on that one. Um, and then Tanjis, it's just a simple bet. I mean,
91:03what's your vibes here, John? I don't think anybody even knows. I had Jeff Mueller on that show should drop this weekend. He's sort of the foremost
91:12injury expert in in fantasy these days.
91:14He's sort of even he thinks KD could could make the uh make the trip. And one little thing he he said, uh, John, which
91:22is a really interesting one, is LA is gonna fly to to Australia like two days before. It's like they're not going to
91:29be in Australia at all. They're flying super late, but San Francisco is going to fly one week before. And KD has said
91:36if he is not playing in the game, he's not making the flight. So, we're going to have clarity on George KD a week
91:43before the start of the season, which I thought was a really fun wrinkle. Uh, Mu Jeff Mueller talks about it a lot on my
91:49show, but uh, Tanis, I mean, hey, he was good last year, John.
91:53>> Yeah. I mean, the annoying thing, the worst case scenario is that George KD plays because that's not even a guarantee you start him. Then you're
92:02still talking about the Rams defense and more importantly, George KD being ramped up and playing limited snaps. Um, if KD says he's a go, I I don't even believe
92:11he's going to be a full-time player, but he is a guy who they can just plug in inside the 10 yard line and he'll run an
92:16annoying route that'll catch a touchdown and still get you there. So, uh, luckily it's a free look week because I I think
92:22it's going to be a lot shakier than everyone suggests.
92:26>> Yeah, I think you're right about that.
92:28Um, one question we had in the chat and and John, you're really well thought out with a lot of your takes. So, uh, this
92:33this is from Mile High Stello. I'd like to hear Dagel's take on this. Why does it seem like this year more than ever
92:41people are completely overlooking injuries both current and from last year and drafting people as if they will return to 100% uh production right away?
92:52And then he references Scataboo, Judkins, Neighbors. Um your thoughts on this one? It's an interesting question.
93:00And I I mean I think before you even talk, I think personally I feel like people are just more comfortable with
93:05athletes bouncing back from injuries in general these days. And I think the last couple years we've seen guys actually recover uh pretty well and the old guys
93:13have all stayed healthy. That's sort of my feel. Players are a little bit more injury uh risk averse. Your thoughts on
93:20this though, John?
93:22>> Actually, I don't think it's seemed more like it this year. That's the thing. I I feel like people always overlook
93:28injuries. uh you know the the last three years in baseball, everyone's always said that cliche of uh drafting an injured player for when they come back
93:39and they can deliver at the end of the year. That's never been the case though.
93:45Um we and that goes back to like TJ Hawkins and coming back and just being a useless player the last month and a half
93:50of the season. We we have the data from, you know, fantasy points is Ryan Heath, who's done tremendous work all off
93:56seasonason. And the last four players to return from a fibula fracture. This includes Quinn John Judkins and Cam Scataboo's outlook for this year. The
94:03last four players to return from that same injury averaged 6.7 fewer points per game the following year because they were less explosive players. That's also
94:11why I think like I have as I talked about earlier Cam Scataboo, Bree Hall, Jeremiah Love, Cam Scataboo, and Quinn Sean Juckkins strictly from a profile
94:22standpoint are the types are there aren't type of players who have receiving profiles and thus can emerge from that dead zone. But if someone
94:31wanted to push back as I'm doing against my own self and say, "Hey, these players are coming back from a serious injury."
94:37Like, you don't have to draft them at cost. I would also say you are correct and it's okay to skip them too. That's
94:43why I'm so wide open and pragmatic when I draft this year. I'm kind of just letting the board naturally come to me.
94:49Uh and this includes the injured players returning.
94:52>> That's I think that you you said it you said it very well. Um and it'll be interesting to see this way the way this
94:59season sort of shakes out. I think that there's a lot of players now where we're seeing players banged up that are high
95:06upside year two guys. if if we're sort of overrating the injuries, we can end up with some fantastic values on the
95:12board, including our own Breece Hall pick where it sounds like Bruce Hall, there's really no beat reporters in New York that are even stressed at all that
95:22we're going to see him miss week one. It feels like almost a given that he's going to be there. And groin injuries
95:28are not really like huge reagravation risks. It's just sort of like get there.
95:33Um, so Jeff Mueller and I talked about that as well. So, I'm hoping that ends up being a tremendous value for us.
95:39John, we're a few picks away. We have the Q loaded here. Um, some interesting names in here for sure. And a lot of
95:48these guys are just going to be cut week one anyway. Uh, this is really kind of a our own free look at usage.
95:55So, I kind of like where your head's at.
95:58The one scenario is if we if we take somebody in round 20 here, if Seattle has a poor game defensively, one of these two picks is going to go to
96:08a team defense and we're going to cut that player and take our chances. So, I don't think if you see a wonderful
96:15defensive option for week one, which I don't, but if you see a wonderful defensive option that you just love on the on the wire uh the available options
96:25here, we should probably consider them in round 20 just so we don't mad dash it to the waiver wire that that after that
96:31first game. [snorts] >> No, I I personally don't see any. So, >> okay. So, let's leave it alone. And I think we're at two positional two
96:40positional values here.
96:42>> I like player number four in the queue.
96:45What is the status on player number two?
96:49>> Uh well he he he signed three weeks before before he signed last year >> and then in nine starts three of them
96:59were top six finishes. So that's kind of the argument is that the guy actually is healthier than he was last year.
97:07Now, can Now, can we actually predict when to start that guy? That's really the issue.
97:12>> That's right. Um, I think we're probably good. We're probably good there after the Tanjas pick. And it's again, that's another guy we just would sort of have
97:20to hold. I think five is interesting. If anything h happens with if anything's going on with Ibuka, then I think Ted
97:28Hurst is really interesting here. I think Jeremy Bernard on the same on the same argument where Pitman's dealt with some injuries. And I know they talk up
97:36Roman Wilson, but I think Bernard second round pick, very talented. And then Ali Gordon has been sort of my 20th round
97:44click at running back. I He's the one I'd bet on in Miami as a true handcuff.
97:49And then of course Shawn Tucker, I'm not going to get talked off of him behind one of the league's best offensive line
97:54and Bucky Irving uh sort of being um you know, the hurt shoulder and being a lighter back. Do you have a lean here
98:01with any of these guys?
98:06Uh, Aaron Rogers gets injured. Drew Aller, for some reason, is better than he was in college. Thus, Jeremy Bernard gets there in three wide receiver sets.
98:16That's the That's the ceiling case I can tell myself.
98:20>> Let's take them.
98:21>> The running backs are the running backs are hideous.
98:24>> They're gross. They're all gross. And Sam Perine also here, who's the direct handcuff. Uh, but what is he if Chase
98:30Brown goes down? uh he'd probably be usable. I think Perine makes a little sense if we're just playing the injury game. And both of these guys, Bernard
98:39and Perine, could get cut. Uh we also Jake Tis if if he doesn't if KD plays week one and does anything or if he just
98:47simply plays, Tanis goes to the wire. Uh Olly Gordon's fine.
98:52>> Let me just check one more guy and then we'll put in Olly Gordon. What about Naji?
99:01Yeah.
99:03>> You want to go naji over?
99:05>> Yeah. The least exciting. Yeah. You'll get from me.
99:08>> Is your call. You're the guest here.
99:10Gordon. Gordon or Naji?
99:12>> Let's go Naji.
99:13>> Let's go Naji and just see what happens.
99:15>> It's a good disgusting pick in the very last round.
99:21>> Way to look. I forgot. I forgot he's buried in ADP.
99:25>> Well, people laughing off my ollie. my and P this is this is it's a gross gross pick but let's see what what the the
99:32runout is and uh Tyrone Tracy seems like they're not into him anymore after they go out and sign Naji and I get it
99:39Tracy's had 1,000 yards two straight straight years John is there a scenario that Singleary or Tracy is moved like this week um it feels like uh with the
99:47Nagi signing one of those guys could be off the roster in sort of a shock move >> Tracy just seems like he's going to
99:54stick around as a a third round running back or be scratched on game days. I don't think he'll be off the roster,
100:00though. I still think they know they need uh help and that kind of player.
100:05>> I I really like the Olly Gordon 20th round pick. Some some Oy Gordon haters in the uh in the chat. I like Ollie
100:11Gordon in the 20th round, but I do think Harris is fine mixing in. We see in the 19th round Charlie Kolar and we see Eric
100:18All. So, the team picking 11th takes two tight ends that I think could be waverwire ads after week one. your thoughts on Aronda Gatson? Looks like
100:27he's really really falling like a rock in terms of the the hierarchy there.
100:32>> I would definitely take that on, especially since all of our uh prognosis on him is based solely on preeason.
100:39Like, of course, that has a wide range of outcomes. I would love a Randy Gadston here.
100:44>> 20th round picks are supposed to be a little gross. Joe, you said it best.
100:47We're in the 20th round here.
100:48>> There's a lot of growth in there. And then we see Sam Per go off the board.
100:52Um, yeah, it's I like the Bernard pick.
100:55I think Ted Hurst is interesting. If if Ibuka has a little bit of a bad runout, then I think Tez Johnson or Ted Hurst is
101:02going to have viability. Jaylen McMillan back on the field, he would be a huge winner. Chris Godman would be a huge
101:07winner, but we already know that Godman was injured last year. Jaylen McMillan was injured even a couple of weeks ago.
101:13So, I think Ted Hurst uh could have some viability at some point if some of these guys get hurt. And then I'll say TZ
101:19Johnson was good last year for a number of weeks. I remember writing about him in the waiverwire column. Uh Naji's it's
101:25a disgusting 20th round pick. It looks it makes our roster look way less sexy.
101:29John, I'm just like it's like it's like just staring at us. But if something happens to Kim Scataboo week one, Naji's
101:35going for 225% of FAB the following week just based on the way these FFPC managers handle it.
101:43Uh let us know in the chat if you like these builds. I think a couple of these managers did very well.
101:49>> Crack Rock uh mentioned that the Naji Harris signing since, you know, the great the great reporter of our time, Crack Rock, uh is very close with the
102:00Giants and Vikings owners and Marago. Uh he mentioned that the Naji Harris signing was because of Tyrone Tracy's pass blocking like John Harbaugh was
102:12that worried about it that then they went out for Naji Harris to be the backup to just give them more competent
102:18options. But yes, it could also be because Cam Scataboo is slowly returning from his injury.
102:25>> Yeah, I think I think you're right on that one. We are uh three picks away, so I think we're going to recap this this
102:31uh team one more time. uh Kenneth Walker, Justin Jefferson. We we go running back, wide receiver instead of running back, running back. Then we end
102:40up with Bree Hall, Jaylen Wadd at the 3-4 turn. Very balanced start. Harold Fannon Jr. at the 512, Mike Evans at the
102:47601. We take Dejon Stribbling at 712, which I think was a really good value.
102:53Dallas Goddard at the 801 over Daltton Concaid, a little bit of a tilt there for us. Katon Mitchell at the 912. And
102:59then the value that we were not anticipating, we get Jaden Daniels at the 1001. We double tap tap quarterback with Brock Perie at the 1112. Then we
103:09take Tank Bsby, EMTT Johnson. We get the Seattle defense, Cam Little, AJ Barner, Malachi Fields, Jake Tongis for the free look and the correlation. We take a shot
103:21on Jeremy Bernard in round 19 and then we take Naji Harris in round 20. John, this was really good. let everybody know
103:28sort of what you have going on as we are less than three weeks away from the start of actual football.
