A.J. Brown

PositiveValue17:00

Brown has moved significantly up the board from his historical 2-3 turn range, indicating a rise in draft capital and market valuation.

Insight page

Brenton Strange

NegativeValue49:06

Strange was selected as a backup tight end in the best-ball draft. The source does not provide specific analysis on Strange, noting only that the roster includes multiple tight ends as part of the stacking strategy.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveRole15:00

Williams is available at the 6-7 turn as part of the Lions-Bears stack opportunity. The source notes that if they secure two skill-position Bears at the 4-5 turn, coming back with Caleb creates 'a legitimately very good team.'

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveValue17:00

Olave is identified as the source's highest-rated wide receiver available at the 2-3 turn, though the source prefers not to start three running backs and opts for a wide receiver instead.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveUsage23:00

McCaffrey is cited as an example of a running back that projects to function like a wide receiver for stacking purposes in DFS, with higher snap rates and receiving volume in trail or neutral game scripts.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveValue22:00

Watson is mentioned as one of the source's preferred wide receiver options at the 4-5 turn alongside McLaurin and Adams.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveValue14:00

The source identifies Loveland as one of three players (alongside Burden and Swift) available at the 4-5 turn that the source has drafted above market rates. Loveland is part of the Lions-Bears stack opportunity in Week 17.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveValue14:00

Swift is identified as one of three players (alongside Burden and Loveland) available at the 4-5 turn that the source has drafted above market rates. The source later advocates for taking Swift in the 4-5 turn as part of the Lions-Bears stack, noting that a running back-running back game stack is acceptable when both backs project reasonably in either game script and both have higher snap rates and receiving volume in trail/neutral script.

Insight page
PositiveValue50:10

Swift was the source's highest-available running back at the time of selection. The source notes that while the pick could have gone in multiple directions, Swift made sense as the top RB available, with the stacking correlation to the Eagles providing a bonus but not the primary reason for selection.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveValue22:00

Adams is mentioned as one of the source's preferred wide receiver options at the 4-5 turn alongside McLaurin and Watson.

Insight page

David Njoku

NegativeDepth Chart17:00

Njoku is mentioned as no longer available at the 2-3 turn; the source notes he is now gone from the board, indicating he was drafted earlier than expected in this exercise.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveValue18:00

Smith is selected at the 2-3 turn as the source's preferred wide receiver option. The Eagles' Week 17 matchup against the 49ers provides additional stacking opportunities, with the source noting 'lots of 49ers that I enjoy.'

Insight page
PositiveValue49:30

Smith was one of the three highest-ranked players the source wanted to draft regardless of stacking strategy. The source also notes strong stacking synergy: having Smith and Terry McLaurin on the same team makes Jalen Hertz an automatic pick, and Smith correlates well with the Eagles stack.

Insight page

Dylan Sampson

NegativeValue50:52

Sampson was selected in the late rounds as part of a strategy to spread bets among a group of hopeless running backs with minimal standalone value. The source notes that at pick 216, Sampson and other late-round RBs like Seth McGowan and Samaje Pirine are all similarly poor options, so tie-breaking to correlation is a reasonable approach.

Insight page

Fernando Mendoza

NegativeValue48:48

Mendoza was selected as one of three quarterbacks in the best-ball draft. The source does not provide specific analysis on Mendoza, noting only that the roster is heavily stacked with multiple quarterback correlations.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveValue49:06

Kittle was selected as the primary tight end in the best-ball draft. The source does not explicitly critique the pick, and the overall roster construction is described as one where the source sacrificed the least value to fit the stacking rules.

Insight page

Jacoby Brissett

NegativeValue48:48

Brissett was selected as one of three quarterbacks in the best-ball draft. The source does not provide specific analysis on Brissett, noting only that the roster is heavily stacked with multiple quarterback correlations.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

NegativeInjury17:00

Warren has received bearish injury reporting, contributing to the weakness of the 2-3 turn running back options this year.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveValue49:30

Love was one of the three highest-ranked players the source wanted to draft regardless of stacking strategy, indicating strong conviction on his value and early-round appeal in best-ball formats.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeDepth Chart17:00

Jacobs was a 2-3 turn staple but has declined in ADP following off-field issues. The source notes his departure from the 2-3 turn has made that draft spot tougher overall.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

PositiveValue50:14

Lemon was selected as the wide receiver three in the Eagles stack. The source notes that with Devonta Smith and Terry McLaurin already on the roster, Lemon made sense as the stacked wide receiver option to complete the Eagles correlation.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

PositiveValue49:06

Mayer was selected as a tight end in the best-ball draft. The source explicitly states he really likes Michael Mayer, indicating strong personal conviction on his value.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeInjury17:00

Rice's ADP has declined significantly from the 2-3 turn due to knee surgery and subsequent injury concerns, though the source notes he is 'on the way back a little bit' and is 'a totally fine pick' at the 2-3 turn, suggesting the market may have overcorrected.

Insight page

Ricky Pearsall

PositiveValue50:31

Pearsall was a wide receiver at the top of the source's ranks and ADP range. The source notes that the pick made complete sense in the context of the team, with the added bonus of correlating with stacks already being built.

Insight page

Seth McGowan

PositiveRole46:46

McGowan is the source's slight lean for the backup running back role over Giddens and other competition. The source prefers McGowan because beat writers view it as an even competition despite the typical tie-breaker favoring non-rookies, and McGowan has received universally good reviews in camp while Giddens disappointed last year. However, McGowan will have zero standalone value unless the starter misses time.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveValue17:00

Diggs is mentioned as one of the source's preferred options at the 2-3 turn alongside Olave, indicating strong valuation at that draft spot.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveValue22:00

McLaurin is selected at the 4-5 turn as one of the source's preferred wide receiver options. The Commanders' Week 17 matchup against the Jaguars provides stacking flexibility.

Insight page
PositiveValue50:10

McLaurin was the source's highest-rated wide receiver at the time of selection and was drafted to fill a clear positional need for a second wide receiver. The source notes strong stacking synergy with Jalen Hertz and Devonta Smith on the Eagles.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

NegativeValue49:06

Tucker was selected as a wide receiver in the best-ball draft. The source later characterizes Tucker, along with Ricky Pearsall and Jacoby Myers, as best-ball-specific wide receivers, implying they are better suited to best-ball formats than redraft leagues and may not be preferred in managed redraft contexts.

0:00Welcome back to the Best Ball Strategy Bible, the show where I, Ryan Heath and my co-host Jacob Sanderson are going to
0:08break down all the team builds and approaches that you can use to win these best ball tournaments this year.
0:14This week we're doing something a little bit different.
0:17We're going to talk about the merits of Week 17 playoff round stacking and then we are going to put that into
0:25action to the most maximalist extent possible for you guys in a draft.
0:29You guys can go to fantasypoints.com right now and our audio listeners can use promo code DEEP26 for 10% off any package.
0:37You can get our best ball rankings, you can get our projections, you can get all the content that you guys are
0:44going to need for your 2026 fantasy season. So go check that out, fantasypoints.com, promo code DEEP26.
0:50Alright Jacob, I have a complicated relationship with stacking in best ball.
0:54I'll be honest that just tracking which teams play each other in Week 17 and trying to make my roster comport with
1:02that is like my least favorite part about actually being in a draft room and like having to think about that constantly.
1:09But that's not to say it doesn't work. So I want to hear kind of your overall take on playoff week, Week 17 stacking in best ball.
1:18How important is it? What do you think is optimal?
1:22Alright, so first off, I just want to say today we're really talking about the intra team stacking.
1:28So team against team game stacking. I hope I really hope like in 2026, you know, we don't have to make the
1:35case that in team stacking is beneficial. I think that's been proven.
1:40Mike Leone wrote an amazing article about this like six years ago, that even in seasonal redraft leagues, you derive a material
1:47benefit from pairing a quarterback with their wide receiver or with their tight end.
1:52The relationship of players within the same game on opposing teams is a little bit more controversial.
1:58And I think that depending on the format you're playing or depending on really who you are listening to this show, you
2:05can interpret what I'm going to say as saying it's over or underrated.
2:10This is really something that kind of goes back to DFS, right?
2:14So in DFS, a while ago, it felt like the idea of the bring back, you know, you have your quarterback stacked
2:21with one or two skill position players and then tack on someone from the other team was a legitimate value add versus
2:29a lot of the lineups that people were playing.
2:32And then it became extremely common where a lot of people were playing a bring back.
2:37And interestingly, when more and more of the Sims started getting introduced to DFS over the last couple of years, especially in
2:45some smaller field contests, it started to recommend bring backs less and less.
2:49I think that's for multiple reasons. In part, it's perhaps, you know, not quite as necessary in some spots, depending on some certain game scripts.
2:58And in part because certain guys were just gobbling up a whole lot of ownership without actually projecting that well, because everybody
3:05was using the same bring back versus very popular stacks.
3:09So I think it's very situationally dependent. In best ball, the theory is the last couple of playoff weeks, especially the final
3:16week, is essentially a large DFS tournament or a midfield DFS tournament where you're competing against all these other teams.
3:23And so it's helpful to have a bring back in the same game.
3:27If you're betting on one team to score a ton of points, that's going to push the pace.
3:33It's going to provide potentially a favorable environment for the other team, especially their receivers, past game players, to help score a lot of points too.
3:42I think where I would say that it can potentially be a little bit overvalued is, one, in smaller field finals contests.
3:50So if you're entering a field where it's not like a 600 person final, it's like a 40 person final, a 50
3:57person final, you would find that I don't think DFS simulators are even saying that bring backs are particularly necessary in those type of field sizes.
4:06So I wouldn't go out of my way to do it in best ball, especially when how you get there is a little bit more abstract.
4:15I also would say it's best to use it as a pretty genuine tiebreaker.
4:20I think that it is good to get in the habit of knowing the week 17 matchups, to trying to cater towards certain game stacks when you can.
4:29But I don't think it's something where you wind up really reducing your stands to the point that you're not getting 20% of guys you want to get.
4:39You're not zeroing guys you want to zero and everybody gets smushed between 4% and 12%.
4:44Because rather than having actually strongly thought out player takes, you're forcing yourself to do a game stack with every single pick in your lineup.
4:53I think that that's overkill. So all in all, I think it's a helpful tool to put into the toolkit.
5:00I think it clearly has demonstrated benefits, especially when it's not being done by the entire field.
5:05But I think that you need to be mindful of what you're trying to accomplish, what tournament you're in, certainly as you go about doing it.
5:14Yeah, I agree with most of what you brought up there.
5:18It is just a fact, a truth in sports, in fantasy sports, in DFS, in all of these things that we do.
5:26That, yeah, correlation is generally good. It's something that you want.
5:29And yeah, wide receivers on the opposing team are generally correlated with the opposing quarterback.
5:34Just because, yeah, as teams put up points, the other team often has to chase them on the scoreboard, increases the pace, increases the plays in a game.
5:44All of that is really good. And you want to be on both sides of it if there are well-projecting pieces on both sides of the stack.
5:53And that really is where it kind of comes down to it for me, is I don't want to be taking worse
6:01players or worse projected players or players that I am significantly lower on just to form a stack.
6:07That would be true in DFS, like a one-game DFS slate.
6:11Or, yeah, sorry, not a one-game DFS slate. Like a 10-game DFS slate, a one-week slate.
6:16That's true in DFS. I don't want to stack a guy just to stack.
6:21I want to look for a nice stack. But if there is no good bringback, you don't have to use one.
6:28I completely agree with that. And, yeah, it's even more the case in Vestbal where you have to get to that Week 17 game first.
6:37There are so many, like, stumbling blocks along the way that it kind of is a little weird to plan for that
6:44if it's making it less likely for you to actually get there by picking worse players, right?
6:50So I think that it's easy to get too overboard with it in that sense.
6:55I agree that it should mostly be a tiebreaker.
6:58And I think you want to think about the best games to be stacking.
7:03I think that is legitimately worth thinking about is in Week 17 for this year, what are some of the most exciting, highest total games?
7:11Again, this is in December, so which games are in domes?
7:15I think all of that is super worth thinking about.
7:18But I don't think you need to, yeah, opposing stack by opposing team every single player in your Vestbal lineup.
7:25But we're going to do that today, I think.
7:28Just more out of the novelty than anything else.
7:31So I think this is going to be the first episode where, and you can jump in if I'm wrong, Jacob, but
7:39I think we wholeheartedly would not recommend drafting a Vestbal team in the way that the two of us are about to.
7:46Yeah, this is going to be, I mean, I think, I hope that we're going to find a way to do this
7:54where we actually do wind up getting players and teams that we like.
7:58But yeah, this is like purely a for fun exercise and an on-ramp to talk through some of the actual thoughts that there are on stacking.
8:07What we're going to do today is we're going to give ourselves two wildcard picks.
8:12But outside of that, 16 of the 18 players on the team that we draft together will be playing each other in Week 17.
8:21I'm also, I thought I just mentioned Week 17 because one thing we have not discussed in detail yet in this intro
8:28is the Week 15 or Week 16 stacking. I'm personally a belief that that is like extremely marginal to the point that I almost don't bother with it.
8:38You're talking about trying to finish in like in the top one or top two of under 20 field sizes.
8:44That's regardless of what tournament you're in, whether that's Best Ball Mania or a smaller dollar tournament.
8:50In a field size that small, I think that the advantage that you're getting from game stacking is it's not nothing, but it's pretty marginal.
8:59And it's also coming then at the direct expense of a Week 17 game stack, which actually has a benefit that is itself fairly marginal.
9:07And then here, obviously also then substituting it, substituting that instead of your player takes and whatever else structure to the point
9:15that I just think whatever gain you could get from Week 15, Week 16 stacking is just remarkably marginal to the point that it should almost be ignored.
9:24Maybe that's unpopular. I think Week 17 stacking is like a real benefit with some trade-offs.
9:30I don't really feel that same way about 15 and 16.
9:33The last thing I wanted to hit on was because you'd mentioned, you know, I wouldn't even be in on someone if they were really popular in DFS.
9:43I guess that to me is the biggest difference.
9:46There's a couple of huge differences between stacking in Best Ball and DFS.
9:51One is that the field size, even in Best Ball Mania, is not comparable to the field size of massive DFS tournaments.
9:58It is comparable, certainly, to some DFS tournaments. Two is that in a one-game sample, I am very open to playing guys
10:06in DFS that I don't feel that great about because anything can happen in a one-game sample.
10:11I mean, if you score a touchdown in DFS, like depending on your price, you might already just get into the lineup with one play.
10:20So I'm far less reliant on my player takes in a DFS setting than I am in Best Ball when I need
10:27a player to perform for me over the course of 17 weeks.
10:31The other big difference, though, where you could make a better case for it in Best Ball is just the ownership perspective.
10:39Because in DFS, some of the reasons why certain backstacks don't get promoted is that you're dealing with a consolidated ownership on certain games and certain players.
10:48Whereas, obviously, in Best Ball, the ownership for the whole season of the top 200 or so players in ADP is all going to be exactly the same.
10:58And it's completely impossible to predict what players' ownership is going to be when you actually get down into Week 17.
11:05So all of those reasons, I think, makes me a little bit leery of it.
11:10Um, uh, or of it being a direct comparison.
11:13But, um, certainly, certainly something to consider. And I think there are some ways in which it can even make a little
11:21bit more sense in DFS when you consider that universal ownership.
11:24Yeah, those are great points. Only one more thing that I wanted to kind of tack on to one of those.
11:31And it was on the Week 15 and Week 16, uh, thing that you mentioned, which is I largely agree.
11:38I'm not ever sitting here thinking about, okay, I want to get this Week 15 stack.
11:44What I will sometimes think about is just overarching, uh, like before I start drafting a bunch of teams.
11:50It can be kind of nice to know for situations like an example this year would be the Buccaneers, Falcons, and Saints
11:58all play each other in domes multiple times through Weeks 15 through 17.
12:02I think that, like, doing it divisionally like that, where you're at, like, double dipping on the stacks in the playoff weeks is maybe worth thinking about.
12:11Uh, and those are all game environments that are potentially interesting, right?
12:15So something like that to me is like, all right, that's maybe a little bit of a boost or a thing to
12:23keep in mind or a reason to especially make sure that I'm stacking my Saints with other NFC South players because I'm getting even more benefit there.
12:32Uh, but it's not, I mostly agree with you that it's not like a massive thing that I'm constantly thinking about.
12:39Um, but I think that'll do it. So yeah, as Jacob said, we are going to hop into a draft and do our absolute best to stack.
12:49Uh, yeah, to do an opposing stack for Week 17 with 16 out of our 18 picks.
12:54This is going to be a nightmare. I feel like I should have created a, like, spreadsheet just for the purposes of
13:02this show, uh, outside of just a cheat sheet that we have on screen here.
13:07No, no, no. The part of the fun, like, we're already throwing away our EV in this draft.
13:13Like, part of the fun is just going to be us having to try and remember what the fuck is going on.
13:21Yeah. Uh, so I'm excited. Um, you, this is probably going to be, like, some, uh, some nice misery that the audience
13:28is going to get to enjoy here in a moment.
13:31But yeah, we will see you guys in a few minutes once we hop into a draft.
13:37All right. We are back here in this draft room.
13:41We got the 101 in the draft where we can actually use it and actually pick whoever we want right now.
13:48There's no one on our team. There's no one that we currently have to create a stack with.
13:54So we can be totally free in our choice here.
13:57Uh, Jacob, is there any reason we shouldn't just take Jameer Gibbs at the 101 who I've had ranked as my 101?
14:05All offseason. I believe it's the same with you.
14:08It's the same with the fantasy point and striking.
14:11Is there any other direction that you would even consider going here?
14:15No, there's not. And, uh, for what it's worth, uh, this actually works out pretty well.
14:21Fire exercise. They play Chicago. We have a lot of options to add a bear at either the four or five turn
14:28or potentially Caleb Williams at the six, seven turn.
14:31So, um, I think this team is just going to build itself.
14:35Um, I get, I get my, my one-on-one in Jameer Gibbs and I also get three players.
14:41I think that I've drafted above market rates, um, available to me potentially and in burden, Loveland and Swift.
14:48So, uh, I'm, I'm excited about the start. Yeah, me as well.
14:52Uh, so I guess the way I'll do this is anytime we draft a player, I will just search up, throw in the queue.
15:00Oh, good. Anyone on their team or their matchup that we can consider.
15:04But that way we know if a guy's in the queue, he's like live for us is watching, watching, watching you try
15:12to host this show while trying to draft via the star method.
15:16We'll see how it goes. I have concerns. All right.
15:19I have not, not that much confidence in myself, but you know, we can, we will keep this queue very organized by ADP.
15:27It's all going to work out fine. Surely. Uh, yeah.
15:30And I'm already seeing myself. Oh, maybe I shouldn't have multiple of the same position in here.
15:36I can already see exactly where this is going to go wrong.
15:40Uh, but surely we will prevail here and there will not be any misclicks or misdrafts.
15:46Uh, let's wait here. I'll show the board. We can take a look.
15:50Let's talk about the two, three turn. Uh, cause that, that's a place that is kind of annoying to me as much
15:58as I love the one-on-one, as much as I think Jameer Gibbs is a smash this year.
16:04Uh, there just aren't many running backs. I actually want to click at the two, three turn.
16:09It's very much like a tight end wide receiver or wide receiver, wide receiver spot to me.
16:15Um, and, and even then it's like, I've, I just feel like the other side of the draft is a little better and more exciting.
16:24Uh, the early fourth, but what do you, what do you like typically do with the two, three turns structurally?
16:30Uh, just cause this might be the only chance we get to talk about it on this show.
16:37I don't know. Well, I hope for someone to fall, um, is plan a, but I agree.
16:42I mean, mainly because it felt like the two, three turn like a month ago just got eviscerated where Rasheed Rice used
16:50to be a guy who went there. He declined.
16:53He's on the way back a little bit. Um, but he declined after the, the knee surgery, jail combo platter.
17:00Um, and then you have Jacobs was a two, three turn staple went down after some of the, the issues off the field.
17:08Uh, neighbors has gotten some bearish injury reporting. So even if you didn't like those guys, that's now pushed other guys up.
17:15So it's made it harder. I agree. It's a tough spot.
17:19I love and Nico. Oh, AJ Brown moved way up the board.
17:23Love and Nico are the guys I like. If they get there, Nico is now gone.
17:28I bet love's going to come off the board right here.
17:32Um, and if that happens, that's when I do kind of get stuck picking someone I'm not a big fan of.
17:39Um, love doesn't go. So he is definitely one pick for me.
17:43My highest rated guy. I is probably a Raider later.
17:47I know if we pick love, but yes, we can make it work.
17:51They got some like, all right. So love, I think is, is my number one move here.
17:57And then my highest rank guy is brief. I don't really want to start three RBs.
18:03So I think probably I would advocate for like rice or Smith or flowers or like pick your wide receiver.
18:09I'm going to go with Devante Smith here. Um, that works for me.
18:14I think, yeah. I think rice is a totally fine pick here too.
18:18I think we've all gotten past the point of the off season where we're all afraid of that.
18:24Uh, but the Eagles also, they get, they get the 49ers.
18:28Yeah. Yeah. Which is nice. There's lots of 49ers that I enjoy.
18:32Uh, we get two, we get two game stacks.
18:35We don't have to complete, but if you're keeping track at home, the, we now need the bears, the niners, the Raiders.
18:43Um, so that's, that's our list. Hopefully I'm pretty sure, um, if we want to avoid Xavion Thomas, I feel pretty good
18:50about our chances to draft a bear at the four or five turn.
18:55So hopefully that closes one of these loops, but we'll, we'll see.
18:59Yeah. And it's also like we could draft multiple bears and multiple lions too, right?
19:04We don't have to have like eight different stacks or like team by team stacks, right?
19:09Like we could have three bears and two lions or whatever, right?
19:13It doesn't have not, not that that's possible, but it has to, it doesn't, it, we just can't have someone unstacked, right?
19:21We, it's not like, Oh, we have to have eight different stacks of 16 different teams.
19:26Correct. I don't know. I'm, I'm just asking you on the fly.
19:30We could do that. That would be even crazier.
19:34No, I would prefer, I mean, the goal is to draft a good team, like not to just do a bit.
19:41So I definitely think, you know, if we have, if we, if we're able to take two, even of those skill player
19:48bears at the four or five turn, potentially, you know, you come back with Caleb, like that's, that's a legitimately very good team.
19:56So. Awesome. All right. Well, I'm just sorting through some of these ADPs now trying to keep a nice and organized queue.
20:04Like that's just such a hopeless endeavor of what you're going on.
20:08But by the way, you may, you might want to zoom out just like a fraction.
20:13Just get that whole board. Let me. That whole board in.
20:17I. We're doing our best here, folks. Oh yeah.
20:20There it is. Oh yeah. We got, or we at least got most of it.
20:25That's yeah. We got enough. All right. So we're sitting here.
20:29I mean, structurally, cause obviously we're still trying to draft a structurally good team.
20:34We're sitting here now running back, running back wide receiver, which is probably my preferred way to start drafts.
20:40I didn't ask you, like you had asked me about guys at the two, three turn.
20:46How do you feel about love who we got?
20:49Was there anybody else like that either maybe almost made it to us or that went shortly after us that you have found yourself clicking there?
20:57Yeah. I mean, you hope that like London or AJ Brown falls, but that just rarely happens anymore.
21:04It used to weeks ago. Yeah. It's, it's really just Devante Smith, Rasheed Rice, George Pickens for me are the guys I'm most interested in.
21:12I've like tried very hard to talk myself into love who I think is fine.
21:17And Brees Hall, who I am now just out on for the year.
21:22I, yeah, I, I just can't get into any of the running backs there.
21:26Like love is okay. There's like a world in which the Cardinals are kind of more like chasing points, high volume.
21:34He's a good receiver. It takes over that role.
21:37I don't think Algier is a threat for it.
21:40I, I do like Michael Fleur's taste in running backs.
21:43He was using Brees Hall as an every down bell cow by week for his rookie year.
21:49Like there's totally a world where love is just immediately in a high value role and he pays off that ADP.
21:56But just for, for a four and a half win total team, like I really have to take this guy at the two, three turn.
22:05Like it just feels like rich for me. I don't know.
22:08Maybe that's, I don't mind that. Like misguided, but yeah, you can try to talk for his level of talent up into him.
22:16Um, yeah, his level of talent you're getting, you know, and level of draft capital getting into two, three turn versus we've
22:24historically drafted some of these top five pick running backs.
22:27Like for top 10, even in the first round.
22:30Um, I think you're getting a bad team discount and I think it could be a pretty functional offense.
22:37If the quarterback, okay. Loveland goes, JMO goes. Okay.
22:40So we aren't getting a bear. Well, I think we should take Swift with one of these picks.
22:46Oh yeah, we can take Swift. So that can be one of our picks.
22:51What should our other pick be? So I think we should take Swift and then the other one.
22:57Yeah. I think, I think McLaurin or Adams or Watson, like I, we should take a wide receiver.
23:03We're not, we're not accomplishing stack goals there, but that's fine by me.
23:07Yeah. Commanders give us Jaguars in week 17. That seems doable.
23:11So, okay. Let's go with McLaurin just to keep up at wide receiver.
23:16I would typically say that the running back, running back game stack is the worst, but I think that it's less bad
23:23when we're talking about two running backs who project pretty reasonably in either game script.
23:28And arguably you almost, I mean, you want them to score points because you obviously want touchdowns for both of them, but
23:36both probably project to have higher snap rates, you know, in, in higher receiving volume in trail or neutral script than they do in positive script.
23:45So I think Swift and Gibbs is like, um, not just fine, but like actually helpful.
23:50Yeah. I'd agree. I, I usually think like Jameer Gibbs, Christian McCaffrey, Dijon Robinson.
23:55I just think of those guys as wide receivers in DFS went like for stacking purposes.
24:00Yeah. You generally don't want quarterback plus. You wouldn't want like judging running backs or something like, yes.
24:06A hundred percent. Like, um, I close to don't play each other, but I was just thinking of two random running backs.
24:14Like even like, um, I don't know. I'm trying to think of a realistic running back, running back stack in the same
24:21week, but, um, well, like, yeah, I don't think you'd want to do like basial toot and jacori cross key merit.
24:28Yeah. Yeah. The whole, the, the whole point is that you're chasing a more shootout pass heavy high volume play game script.
24:36And to do that, you don't want a two down running back that needs positive game scripts, uh, to hit a ceiling outcome.
24:44So yeah, I don't think that applies to Jameer Gibbs just like whatsoever.
24:48Um, so yeah, I think what we did was fine.
24:52Um, but yeah, that's yet another thing to try to mentally keep track of.
24:56Cause honestly, that didn't even flag in my brain until you said it, but that, that is, uh, that is definitely something
25:04to think about, um, as we continue here. Um, we get, yeah, I, I, we've, I still feel like we need to, I feel behind it wide receiver.
25:13I know you are more comfortable pushing it, but, um, yeah, Parker Washington goes here who I would have loved to see fall, but it was unlikely.
25:23Uh, yeah, we should already just start planning our next pick.
25:26Probably. Can you feel, can you feel the stress levels rising here?
25:31I feel good. I mean, so I think we can start to build out, uh, like if Marvin came here, no, he
25:38just goes literally comes off the board right. As I say, this is the worst part to me of picking at the,
25:46at the one Oh one is the six, seven turn is terrible outside of quarterback.
25:51Um, Jane Daniels would, would be an auto pick for us here.
25:55Um, if he gets there, I think so it hurts.
25:58So I think we're getting at least one of those guys stacked up with our wide receivers.
26:04Um, Daniels goes, so I'm really hoping that we can do hurts.
26:08My, my preferred turn here is probably just hurts lemon at this point.
26:12Just, just make it a double stack. But yeah, I like that a lot actually.
26:18So let's hope we can get that. Uh, and yeah, and I don't have to worry about stacking for one more turn.
26:25So that's perfect. Uh, I'm in on the Eagles passing game.
26:29I have come around like completely. I think the market is just treating it as if Jalen hurts is a really bad
26:36thrower of the football and like, we'll never be better and can't work in one of these more kind of modern light.
26:44And we can just take both of them right here.
26:47Uh, and they, yeah, he can't work. He can't work in like this kind of more modern middle of the field, heavy
26:55under center play action type of offense. But like, we've seen a lot of QBs work in these like McShanahan esque offenses
27:02that everybody has thought was terrible before we saw them.
27:06So like, I'm just open to hurts, like kind of punching above his weight in efficiency.
27:11Sean Mannion just is saying all the right things hurts his career splits under center on play action, throwing at the middle
27:19of the field are all really good. Even if they're lower volume, uh, all the like inside reporting from Jeremy Fowler is
27:26basically that hurts has a totally different attitude this year where like in years past, he would like verbally fight with Kellen
27:34Moore about changing play calls and stuff, but that he's like actually bought in and wants to like change his tendencies, uh,
27:41that, that have been so sticky over the last handful of seasons.
27:45I think this might just actually work, uh, that this is an efficient passing offense, uh, for yeah, the first time in
27:53what feels like forever for the Eagles. And they're all priced as if it won't be, I think they've been efficient before.
28:00I mean, the Eagles offense, they were really low volume in 2020, um, in 2024, but like they had stretches of being awful.
28:08They also had stretches of being fine. Um, you go back to 2022, they are an extremely efficient passing offense under Shane Steichen.
28:16I mean, I think that we'll see, I think we'll see a hybrid of, of styles.
28:21Like, I don't think that it's going to look like a Kyle Shanahan offense.
28:26I think Hertz has for, for like an average NFL starting quarterback, which is what I think he is.
28:33He just has one of the most kind of like bizarre collections of strengths and weaknesses, and that he has like really,
28:40really incredible strengths and very debilitating weaknesses. And so I think you are still going to see more deep shots and less
28:48digs than you probably would, um, out of a, like LaFleur offense.
28:52Generally, if you were just getting a neutral quarterback or if Tanner McKeave is the quarterback, um, in part because of Hertz's
28:59deficiencies, but in part because I think you do want to legitimately, um, work to his strengths, which is throwing very well-placed.
29:07He's highly catchable go balls, you know, 50 yards down the field.
29:11So I think we're going to see some wrinkles.
29:14And I mean, I think that we've seen now Steichen and Kellen Moore have both run offenses that were highly functional with
29:21the Eagles, but looked a little bit different than their offenses at other places.
29:26And I don't know enough about Sean Mannion, but by all accounts, he's a well-regarded up-and-coming assistant who came from a coaching tree that I highly respect.
29:35And so he seems like a pretty good offensive coordinator higher than me.
29:40And, um, and we've seen good offensive coordinators have success with this team.
29:44So I'm pretty optimistic about Philly. I also like their collection of talent.
29:49Like I think Lemon is not A.J. Brown, but I think it's a really strong prospect and Wicks gives them a way
29:56better wide receiver three than they've ever had. Um, and they go too deep with receiving tight ends now with Stowers.
30:03So I think the collection of talent they have now is pretty interesting.
30:08We're about to come back on the clock. We're going to have no shortage of options to accomplish our stacking goals here,
30:15as well as picks that I think just make sense for this team.
30:20Um, so, uh, curious what you think here. I think we could do our second quarterback, but I don't love two quarterbacks
30:27from the same game quite as much. Um, Laporta goes my inclination would probably to go.
30:33Pure Saul Myers, who are not only stacking options, but are just legitimately my top two ranked wide receivers available.
30:39Um, I don't know if you have another thought here, maybe Purdy.
30:44Yeah, I think that's what I, I think that's what I prefer as well.
30:48Pure Saul Myers. Uh, you're yeah, it's there's, it kind of defeats the purpose to go opposing quarterbacks.
30:54Um, well, yeah, I, I would have been, I would have loved to do like a party kid old back stack or
31:02something like that, but yeah, that makes the most sense to me.
31:06We catch up at the wide receiver position. Uh, so I just need, is, is it only the Raiders that we have open still?
31:14Uh, we just closed two loops. We closed two loops.
31:18So we're, we're doing great here. We're, we're through, we're through nine picks and eight of nine are all stacked up.
31:25So we're exactly on track right now to hit our 16 out of 18 goal.
31:30Um, it's making me think this was too easy.
31:33That really fell nicely for us. I can say so far with absolute confidence that thus far, every pick that we've made
31:40with like, no, cause I was going to say with exception of Swift, but he would have been my highest ranked running
31:48back, um, available and player available at that slot.
31:51So, um, legitimately every player we've picked, at least for me has been the player I would pick if I was under no, uh, no sense of obligation.
32:01Yeah. Yeah. That that's fairly similar for me. Like I dev, I would have gone Pierce all Myers on that last turn.
32:08Uh, Hertz lemon is, I don't know if they're my two, actually they probably are my two highest ranked players there.
32:15Um, yeah. McLaurin was someone I've been meaning to draft more of.
32:19Yeah. Yeah. Basically only Swift is like a guy that I'm not normally going out of my way to click like where
32:27we did, but I think it was kind of, yeah, I think it was kind of fine just with how our build ends up.
32:35I, yeah, I certainly don't mind him over a Montgomery, a two in like the, yeah, that's not like insane insanity to me.
32:43So yeah, this is, this is actually worked out really well in my book so far as well.
32:49Um, massive run on quarterbacks. I was like kind of, kind of thinking, you know, maybe in a perfect world golf comes all the way back.
32:58He absolutely does not. Um, we will see what the quarterback situation is.
33:02We're probably going to have to do a bit of a creative backstack.
33:07Um, we have Hertz, so I don't feel like massively pressed at quarterback.
33:11I feel like we could do one medium priced one.
33:15We could also just do one or two really cheap later ones and figure out whether or not we can make a stack work there.
33:23So, um, yep. We'll see what comes back here.
33:26We know we're taking a Raider. So Mendoza could be a quarterback that we could take as well.
33:32But yeah. Yeah. Probably not this pick, um, either, either the quarterback or the Raider.
33:37So, uh, Kittle's still available, which is nice. Um, we also, okay.
33:42Golden goes off. Um, we're kind of, we're at a pretty good position here, positionally speaking.
33:47And I, and even tight end, like if Kittle gets to us, I think we should definitely smash him.
33:53Um, if not, like I, I like the tight ends in that 144 range, probably as much as I like the tight ends in this range.
34:02So, um, let's see here. See who comes to us.
34:06Yeah. I think Kittle's the clear pick. If he makes it to us, everyone else, I'm, I'm like hesitant to pick for stacking.
34:14Like, Oh, don't worry about it. We're doing great.
34:17But like, we're doing great. Are we taking like, we're doing great on the stacking front.
34:22We also get two freebies. They don't have to pair up literally everyone.
34:27So we're going to be, that's true. Yeah. Um, I think Kittle's clearly one of the first pick.
34:33Yup. Yeah. And then I would say for the second pick, um, click the running back tab quick for me.
34:39You have Aaron Jones there. I'm not like the biggest Aaron Jones guy.
34:44Um, I don't hate him. I guess that would be the pick at running back.
34:49The other options. Yeah. I think I would be Concepcion or I'd be Kelsey.
34:54Yeah. I think I'll go Concepcion there. I feel, yeah, I feel okay about backfilling tight end after Kittle.
35:00We just got to remember early season floor, not the, not the tight ends that Ryan likes to draft the tight ends that Jacob likes to draft instead.
35:10Um, but yeah, I think that's fine. So we, yeah, we can, are there even any cults that are.
35:16That are drafts. I mean, yeah. Concepcion might end up being our freebie.
35:21That, um, that may be a freebie. Um, I mean, we could always do, if we really need to, like in the
35:2818th round, we can tack on a Seth McGowan or DJ Giddens.
35:32If we want to play pin the tail on the cults veteran backup running back bullshit.
35:38But, um, uh, you, we, we, if we want to get really creative, we could just predict the future and, and take Keenan Allen in the 18th round.
35:47Oh, that would be really funny. I, uh, what's his ADP nowadays?
35:51Okay. Yeah. It is still 18th round. No, I'll throw him in the queue just as a, I can, I can say that I've earnestly been draft.
36:01I've, I've been drafting him regardless. Um, but I've, I've aired towards putting him on Daniel Jones stacks, uh, on my own team.
36:08So, yeah, I don't hate that at all. I also like Daniel Jones is best ball ADP.
36:14So I do too. I don't love it. Make it Daniel Jones off the Achilles.
36:19That's like, that's like, that's like, uh, that that's if we're really boxed out type of pick, which we might be.
36:27Um, cause I don't, I don't, we don't have like any other quarterback stack set up currently.
36:32So we're gonna have to figure something out here.
36:35Yeah. Um, well, let's look at available quarterbacks and just try to game this out for ourselves.
36:41Mendoza with, cause our, I think our next turn should be one of Tucker or Naylor, um, as honestly our last wide
36:49receiver and then, um, a tight end. Agreed. Uh, in terms of tight ends.
36:53Yeah. Strange fits. Yup. Strange fits are stuck already.
36:57Otherwise we're, and, uh, chig fits. Uh, right. Right.
37:00You have commanders. And then otherwise we're, we're going to open up a new loop, which is fine.
37:06Yeah. I'm not. Yeah. If we did. Yeah. Me either.
37:09I'm totally, totally not stressed guys. Uh, and mayor is going to be our tight end three on this team.
37:16Um, so that's fine. Yeah. I think that works.
37:19I like, I think I'd prefer strange then. On this team.
37:23Just as the tight end to just as a guy.
37:26I like, I know is going to run all the routes.
37:30Yeah. For sure. There's, there's even an argument to bypass the Raiders wide receivers here.
37:35So then we can have more wide receiver and like, just go with mayor.
37:40Um, but we'll, cause who's, who's at running back right now?
37:44Let's take a quick peek. So my boy Pacheco.
37:47We're not taking Pacheco with Gibbs. Nothing. Yeah. You're right.
37:50Um, I don't like Dylan Sampson. We have a Brown already, but then we definitely have to take a way ahead.
37:57If you can get him, Daniel Jones, right? Um, Jones went right.
38:01Running back. Yeah. Jones. Um, so get rid of, we could take, we could take Cooper and then set up that actually
38:09sets us up with another back stack with the jets.
38:12Um, I don't totally hate that. And then that would, that would get us.
38:17Ideally we'd want a Viking. Um, so I don't know if we, we could tack on like a really late Claiborne.
38:24Um, let's see here. Um, okay. It's a strange there.
38:28I will. I'd rather take Tucker. Honestly. Is how I feel.
38:31Okay. Let's take Tucker. Okay. I think that's probably our, well, we started pretty thin at wide receiver.
38:37So that's fine. We could even go to eight.
38:41We could make this. Yeah. We can make this a two, five, eight, three.
38:45Wouldn't be crazy with, with our start. So, um, and then, uh, yeah, we just need to figure out who our third quarterback is.
38:53Um, shoot. Cause I was going to say we don't need a third quarterback with Hertz, which I would normally say, but
39:01I don't Mendoza is a tough QB too. It's probably not starting the season.
39:06Yes. Uh, I mean, our third quarterback could be like Brissette also, cause then the idea is you're getting the early season starts with Brissette.
39:14You're getting the late season starts with Mendoza and Hertz is your guy anyway.
39:19Yeah. I actually like that specifically for this team.
39:22Uh, and, and Brissette has upside, like on it, on his own too.
39:27Like the, the guy was the QB five by fancy points per game last year.
39:32And he's going as the QB 30. I get all the reasons why that happened and why it's unlikely to repeat, uh,
39:39just in terms of drop back volume and everything.
39:42But LaFleur let Joe Flacco and Mike white do that same thing a few years ago.
39:48And the jets were a high volume passing offense in those games.
39:52Like it wouldn't be the craziest thing. That's kind of what that's, that's kind of what I want for Jeremiah love.
39:59So maybe that is what we play into. Um, I'll, I'll say that the, the Trey Tucker pick is the first pick,
40:06at least for me that, that, um, that wouldn't have aligned with high would have drafted this team without the specific rule set.
40:14So, um, I think otherwise we're, we're, we're, we're doing this for the right reasons, you know, as they say on the bachelor.
40:22Yeah. Fair enough. Yeah. I mean, yeah. Swift, Swift was your like car that you pulled.
40:28Tucker was the one that I pulled. Yeah. Uh, that we, we might disagree on between the two of us, but yeah,
40:35I think overall, all things considered that works out pretty good.
40:39Well, at least then at both terms, we wound up with someone that one of us likes anyway.
40:45So that's fine. Yeah. Um, what do we do here?
40:48We need, we need running back. Mendoza's got to be one of these picks.
40:53Yup. Um, and then it's, so ideally Mendoza and a running back.
40:57I think it's Mendoza and, and Samson. Um, I I'd throw out Coleman too.
41:02You guys haven't buried Bigsby actually is not a bad, I actually really like Bigsby here because we've bet on the Eagles pass a game.
41:11Well, nothing could be more better for Eagles passing volume than a Saquon Barkley injury.
41:16Yeah, that's perfect. I'm in, I'm in love with this angle now.
41:20Hopefully he doesn't go, but that's a excellent point.
41:23Works for our stacks and everything. Yeah. That's beautiful.
41:26Oh, and of course, of course, uh, I'm pretty fun with Samson.
41:30Um, um, I'd be fine with Coleman. Um, so either of those two probably.
41:35Coleman means we have to take a Patriot. So I think I'm going to stick with Mendoza Samson.
41:41That works. Um, Mendoza Samson. And then the Samson thing only helps us though.
41:46If we get a cult, otherwise we have two Browns.
41:49Those are our two freebies. So yeah, if anything Coleman, if anything Coleman, uh, would have helped us because when we get
41:57given us two outs, but, uh, currently, currently as it stands, we've closed every loop except for the Colts.
42:03We have the Eagles and the Niners. We have the Lions and the Bears.
42:08Um, we have the Cardinals and the Raiders. We have the, uh, commanders and the Jaguars.
42:13So the only team that is missing a partner is the, the Browns are missing a cult.
42:19Uh, so as it stands, if we don't take a cult, we have how many picks left here on this team?
42:26We're sitting at a two, four, seven, two. So we have three picks left.
42:31If, if those three picks either correlate with each other or one of our current players, we don't have to take a
42:39cult, but, uh, we could also add a cult and then, then it, then the other two picks would be completely free.
42:46So I think we've, we've accomplished this pretty easily.
42:49Um, yeah, we're definitely taking Brissette as one of the QBs.
42:53Correct. As well. So that's basically just. His ADP is what?
42:57198. So yeah. Okay. So we're going to take Brissette and we're going to take Mayer.
43:02It's going to be probably, it's going to be probably our third quarterback and our third tight end.
43:08And then we need a running back probably as the, uh, I mean, we were pretty strong running back, but I'd probably
43:16rather have a fifth running back than an eighth wide receiver.
43:19I think. Yeah. Agreed. So is there, so we're getting Keenan Allen then is.
43:24Yeah. I mean, we could just do it as McGowan.
43:28Um, who, who else, who do we have that actually?
43:31Cause so if we take, if we take Brissette Mayer, um, if we want to just do maximizing the bit, then it's
43:39getting Zerner McGowan and then we could actually go 18 for 18.
43:43But if not, we would have to take someone who correlates to one of our existing players.
43:48So that would be, um, either. Uh, Katron would be fine.
43:52Um, Mike Washington would be fine. Yep. Uh, Mike Washington, Katron.
43:56Jordan James slash Kalen Black. But that just feels like we may as well take Seth Bagao and DJ Giddens.
44:03Yeah. Um, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There's not much else here.
44:06Uh, James Connor for either when he's in, for when he goes.
44:10That feels, that feels like, that feels like it's against the spirit of the rule where you're taking, you're taking Connor with
44:18love on the hope that he gets cut and is no longer a Cardinal.
44:23Although I, I, I keep manifesting him being in Detroit.
44:26That's also, that also works. So then he can be a direct bet against our first round, first overall pick.
44:33So, you know, that also fits, fits the game while being, while feeling, feeling wrong morally.
44:38Yeah. Yeah. Um, there's just, there's not much else here.
44:42Well, let's go, let's go Brissette Mayer. Um, and then that gets, that gets the picks we actually want.
44:48And then, uh, if, if the room, if the room leaves us, um, like a Mike Washington, that's just way higher in ADP and probably a better pick.
44:58We will select him. If not, um, we'll take Giddens or McGowan.
45:02Do you have a preference between Giddens and McGowan?
45:05It's like, it's, it feels like the most throw your hands up in the air, RB2 battle and in, in, in the NFL right now.
45:13But you're, you're, you're the Colts fan. Man, you're supposed to have the take here.
45:18Uh, I can give you the, I can give you like the Seth McGowan prospect take, which is like, I, I think
45:26he, I think he might be better than Mike Washington.
45:29I think all the, I think both of those guys are really bad though.
45:34Like that was kind of where I was at.
45:37Uh, I mean, DJ Giddens, I obviously liked more as a prospect, um, uh, of the two, but the, the rookie year was very unimpressive.
45:46Um, I mean, mostly because he didn't play, but I would say the main, the main issue in his rookie season was related to pass protection.
45:55Um, Jonathan Taylor stayed healthy the whole season. So we never got to see what would have happened if he got hurt.
46:02But if you are the active RB2 on the Colts, um, behind Jonathan Taylor, like it's the first rules do no harm.
46:10Uh, Taylor is going to play 92% of the snaps.
46:13So it's not really about what you can do with the ball in your hand.
46:18It's like the five plays that Taylor comes off the game, which are probably pass plays.
46:24Do you get pancaked or not? Um, in pass pro and, and Giddens struggled.
46:28And so ultimately they, they signed Amir Abdullah to come in and just be an adult in the room.
46:35Um, what would have happened to Taylor miss time?
46:38I have no clue. Um, by all accounts, like it's legitimately a toss up in that McGowan, it could be McGowan, it
46:45could be Giddens or it could be, they signed someone late in camp.
46:50Um, I I've heard pretty universally good things on McGowan to the point that that's probably my slight lean.
46:56Um, just because I think that they came away from last year, quite unimpressed with Giddens.
47:02And it seems as though McGowan is acquitting himself well.
47:05And the fact that like all of the beat writers already think it's an even competition when you, in theory, think that
47:13earlier in the summer tie goes to the not rookie makes me slightly lean McGowan.
47:18But, um, it's like, who fricking knows? Also like these guys will have absolutely zero standalone value.
47:24But, um, I mean, if you're probably going to get contingent value from one of them, unless they sign like Antonio Gibson or something.
47:32Yeah, no, that, I mean, that makes sense the way you thought it through.
47:37Um, I, I also personally am always just wanting to bet on the player that hasn't failed yet.
47:43Like when, if, if, if right, I get in says already failed, it's like, I, we have, I'd rather the unknown that
47:50hasn't failed yet than the guy that we know has failed.
47:54So it's, I don't know if there's something, something, something in the Monty hall problem or something that I could compare that to probably, but yeah.
48:03So I, so I'll go with Seth McGowan. And with that, we, we, not only did we accomplish our goal of 16
48:10out 18, we span on that goal. We went 18 for 18.
48:14Yeah. Yeah. That was extremely stressful. Uh, if I'm being honest, uh, having run the board for that.
48:20Uh, but I think my strategy was good. Having always guys in the queue that I knew would actually stack up rather
48:28than trying to figure that out on the fly.
48:31I actually think that was the optimal strategy to conduct that ridiculous draft.
48:35Uh, and this draft is pretty good. Uh, I'm fairly happy with this team and with this roster construction.
48:42So to review, we've got, uh, three, five, seven, three, our three quarterbacks, Jalen Hertz, Fernando Mendoza, Jacoby Brissett.
48:48I'm not even going to call out the stacks because everybody's stacked with each other.
48:54I don't even have to point up, point it out when I get to them.
48:59Uh, at running back, we have Jameer Gibbs, Jeremiah Love, DeAndre Swift, Dylan Sampson, Seth McGowan, uh, at wide receiver, Devante Smith,
49:06Harry McLaurin, Makai Lemon, Ricky Pearsall, Jacoby Myers, Casey Concepcion, and Trey Tucker.
49:11And at tight end, George Kittle, Brenton Strange, and Michael Mayer.
49:14Uh, very, my first reaction after like rereading the entire roster is that this is just a very best ball team.
49:22This is, it's very much, I, a lot of these guys, I don't think I'm going to be in on in managed
49:29redraft outside of like a handful of them, but they all fit together in ways that speak to me in best ball,
49:37I guess is how I would put it. Uh, and, and it's an extremely correlated week 17 team.
49:43So yeah, maybe this one's live. I don't, I don't hate this at all, but what about you, Jacob?
49:49And yeah, once you give your thoughts, I can get us out of here.
49:54I mean, maybe, maybe I like these players more than you do.
49:58I'm not sure. Um, but I, I would say like, this was an instructive episode in terms of, I think what, when
50:06stacking is a legitimately helpful, uh, guide versus when it's, it's kind of a meme.
50:11And I would say like, for the most part, I felt like the board aligned and our needs aligned in a way
50:18that we were generally taking players that at least I would have legitimately wanted to take regardless, or at the very least
50:26would have been like one of the two to three options available.
50:30And we tie broke to the one who made the most sense in the context of our roster for stacking reasons.
50:37So like going through the picks, you know, Gibbs, Love, Smith were just the three highest players we wanted regardless to start off.
50:45Um, you know, Terry McLaurin was my highest rated wide receiver at a time that we clearly needed to get a second wide receiver.
50:53Um, I think the swift pick is like, you could kind of go in a number of different directions.
50:59Um, swift would have been, I think my highest available running back there.
51:04Um, and if you want to give an extra bonus for the correlation, why not?
51:09You go to the next turn. It's like, I don't care if we're doing a gimmick.
51:14Like if I have Devonta Smith on my team and Terry McLaurin on my team and Jaden Daniels goes, like I'm taking
51:22Hertz every single time in that scenario. And I'm adding lemon as the wide receiver three.
51:27Likewise, PureSol and Myers were wide receivers at the top of our ranks, top of ADP range.
51:33And you add in the fact that they also correlate with stacks that we've already been building.
51:39That's just a total bonus. But like, again, those are our players that made complete sense in the context of our team.
51:46I think the one time that we didn't really have any stacking option that made a lot of sense was when we
51:54decided to go with Casey Concepcion, who was the unstacked option, was just the best option for the team at the time.
52:01And it's clearly, I think the pick you should make.
52:05The only time where I feel like we were like purely just doing it for the bit is like obviously the Seth
52:12McGowan pick, um, at like the very end, which is like, you know, no, I wouldn't choose Seth McGowan because he goes with Dylan Sampson and Casey Concepcion.
52:22But like, in fairness, I think Seth McGowan is about as crappy of a pick compared to anyone else available at 216.
52:29And like, I think you should probably be taking the approach of spreading your bets among this group of like completely hopeless running backs.
52:38And if it's a helpful exercise for you to break ties towards correlation of like when you pick your 1% Seth McGowan
52:45versus when you pick your 2% Samaje Pirine and your 2% Kamani Vidal, like I think that's as good of a reason
52:53as any because all of these picks are guys that it would make very little sense to have, you know, 14% of one and 0% of everyone else.
53:02So I think it's a team that I would totally stand by and also happens to have a ton of players I'm targeting.
53:10Yeah. And I want to be clear there, there are players on here.
53:14I really like, I really like Jalen hurts and the Eagles.
53:18I really like Casey Concepcion. I really like Michael Mayer.
53:22I really liked Jameer Gibbs. But it's, it's just more like, like Trey Tucker, Ricky Pierce, all Jacoby Myers.
53:28These, these are like best ball ass wide receivers is more of what I was remarking on there.
53:34Uh, that, but Hey, that's going to be any best ball team.
53:38Uh, but yeah, I, I don't know what my point was, but I think I agree with you in, in terms of
53:46if you go back and look at all the drafts that we've done on this channel this year, this might be the
53:53one where we sacrifice the least Evie just to fit with the rules.
53:58I, I, yeah, I can't think of a draft where there were fewer times where we were like, Oh, well, because of
54:05the rule set, we have to do this, or we should think about doing it in this way at this spot.
54:12There, there was a lot of that, but all, yeah.
54:16Uh, it, as you said, it just kind of aligned with the picks you probably should have been making anyway.
54:23So this was really, really fun. Uh, thanks guys for watching.
54:26We are going to be back, uh, later this week.
54:30We are going to be going to two a week on these recordings.
54:34So it's going to be a ton more best ball for the rest of the summer.
54:40I am very excited to be here even more.
54:43Uh, and quick shout out, uh, Jacob and I will be live, uh, for the first time in months on dynasty points
54:50over on the fantasy points dynasty YouTube channel, uh, Tuesday night of this week.
54:55Come check it out. We're going to play five for five.
54:59I'm going to get totally owned. Like I usually do.
55:02I will probably crash out. It's going to be awesome.
55:06You don't want to miss it. So thanks guys.
55:09Have an amazing rest of your day.
