Aaron Jones

NegativeProjection39:03

Aaron Jones is a fairly strong play at his salary against the Bears, who allowed a strong game to Chuba Hubbard last week. However, there's uncertainty about the Vikings' run-game emphasis without Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones' involvement in the passing game (he had only two targets last week). The source expects more passing-game work for Jones this week, but the extent of the Vikings' run-game lean versus pass-heavy approach remains an open question. At 20% ownership, he's a solid cash-game play but not an absolute smash.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveMatchup13:00

Baker is interesting in a revenge spot against the Browns. The Browns allowed the second-most fantasy points per drop back to quarterbacks in Week 1 (though this may be more a Jaguars thing). The Buccaneers as a team are one of the best buy-low offenses after Week 1 due to a minus-three turnover margin; aside from turnovers, the offense was pretty exciting. As massive favorites against the Browns, the Buccaneers should run more plays than they did in Week 1 when they finished bottom-six in total plays run.

Insight page
NegativeProjection45:45

Baker Mayfield's team-level regression concerns apply to Bucky Irving's outlook; despite Mayfield's turnovers in Week 1, the Buccaneers ran the fewest plays of any team in the NFL, suggesting significant upside potential as offensive volume increases.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

NegativeUsage30:14

Bijan Robinson had the highest target share in a single game by a running back in fantasy data history last week at over 40%, which explains his 34% projected ownership. However, historically against the Panthers' defensive coordinator over six games across three seasons, Robinson has exceeded 15% target share only once and never had more than six targets. While he's gone over 25 DraftKings points in half those games without heavy receiving volume, the source suggests the 10-target, 4-target-for-Drake-London split may be a one-week sample that people are overindexing on, with London potentially seeing more involvement in Week 2.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeValue25:45

Bo Nix projects as top-three point-per-dollar value across the industry but faces a tricky spot. The source watched Davis Webb's play-calling look broken on Monday night against the Chiefs, creating hesitation despite industry projections favoring him. However, the Broncos should adjust their offense at home against Jacksonville (vs. Kansas City last week). At 5% projected ownership, Nix is worth considering for potential bounce-back upside, though the Jaguars' solid defense makes it less of a smash compared to if Denver faced a weaker opponent. The source will play some Nix but won't make him a top-five exposure.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection8:51

Purdy averages over 25 DraftKings points per game over his last five games in 2024; trails only Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen in fantasy points per opportunity; leads all QBs in fantasy points per drop back. The source views him as clearly one of the best plays on the slate despite 9% ownership, preferring him over Dak Prescott in this spot.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveValue43:14

At 6,100 DK salary with 12% projected ownership, Irving is priced way too cheaply for a running back with a three-down bell cow workload in an awesome spot where the Buccaneers are huge favorites against Cleveland; the source notes Irving was drafted at the end of round two in 2025 offseason as an ascending talent after leading all running backs in fantasy points per game in healthy games over his last seven games of his rookie season.

Insight page
PositiveValue43:34

Bucky Irving is a very high-interest play at $6,100 with 12% projected ownership against Cleveland's defense. The source positions Irving as an incredible ownership-adjusted play and a strong alternative to Javante Williams at a similar price point. Irving was being drafted at the end of round two in 2025 offseason drafts as an ascending talent heading into his second season, making his current DFS pricing and low ownership a potential value spot.

Insight page
PositiveUsage44:58

In Week 1, Irving posted a career-high 25% target share, ran a route on 58% of the Buccaneers dropbacks (more than Kenny Gainwell), and got everything in the red zone; the source emphasizes that concerns about Irving losing high-value touches to Sean Tucker and Rashad White were answered, as Sean Tucker had to take a pay cut to stay with the team and the regime is not as high on him as a goal-line option.

Insight page
PositiveProjection45:45

Despite Baker Mayfield's turnovers and the Buccaneers running the fewest plays of any team in the NFL, Irving still scored 20 DK points in Week 1, suggesting significant upside potential given the team's expected regression and increased offensive volume.

Insight page
NegativeRole46:31

Irving is expected to be pretty involved in the passing game despite Kenny Gainwell's presence; the source was concerned about Gainwell cutting into Irving's passing game involvement, but that doesn't appear to be a significant concern.

Insight page
NegativeUsage53:14

Irving's snap distribution in Week 1 was comparable to David Montgomery's, establishing a benchmark for Montgomery's workload quality and volume.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveProjection23:24

Caleb Williams is a very high-interest play at $6,800 against the Vikings despite tough matchup context. He has five career games with 48+ point totals, averaging 25.7 DraftKings points per game in those contests—second only to Josh Allen league-wide. With two such high-total games on this slate, his rushing upside is compelling; he has the second-highest scramble rate in the NFL when facing the blitz (Vikings are blitz-heavy). His pass catchers remain cheap after failing to cash last week, making him a strong single-stack option in tournaments at low projected ownership (4%).

Insight page

Carson Wentz

PositiveValue9:15

Wentz at 4,600 is the best cheap QB on the slate and a top-five play overall for tournaments. In three games under Kevin O'Connell where he wasn't playing with a dislocated shoulder and torn labrum, he posted 19.2, 26.2, and 15.3 DK points. The source argues industry projections may be overweighting his injury-plagued 2025 stretch. Against a Bears defense that allowed 39 points to Bryce Young, the stack with Justin Jefferson is extremely easy.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeValue54:26

Brown's workload last week was as strong as expected, though his DraftKings points relative to other running backs on the slate were not elite. He carries high value at his price point. However, the source raises a strategic concern: Brown's historical success with Joe Burrow may be partially due to defenses having to respect Burrow's passing ability, not just the run game. With Burrow banged up heading into Week 2, the Bengals may lean on the run more, but this could also mean Houston's defense can focus more on stopping the run, potentially negating the benefit of increased volume. At 6% ownership, the workload appeal is real, but the game environment against Houston's strong defense is concerning.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveProjection35:00

Christian McCaffrey is a mega-smash tournament play despite 22% ownership. His Week 1 workload was likely suppressed due to the 49ers' non-competitive game against the Dolphins (17-hour flight, blowout scenario). McCaffrey still received all high-value work, leading in targets and routes from the backfield, playing most snaps inside the 20-yard line. On his normal workload, he'd be 50% owned. At 13.5-point favorites against Miami, McCaffrey is an amazing play in tournaments. Additionally, Kalon Black is on the injury report this week, potentially giving McCaffrey even more volume.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveRole8:15

Watson is one of the two receivers playing in two-receiver sets for the Packers in Week 1, consolidating the passing game alongside Matthew Golden due to ineffective running back play.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup80:35

Christian Watson is part of a mini stack with Garrett Wilson that the source finds really fun. The source mentions Watson as an option alongside Wilson in the Packers-Jets game.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveValue71:48

Colston Loveland is cheaper at 5K and is the source's favorite Bears pass catcher. He's been leading the team in usage since they changed their offense at the end of last season. The source likes Loveland more than either of the Bears wide receivers in terms of Caleb Williams stacking partners.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveValue47:01

Swift is an interesting tournament play at a low price point; after posting top-five expected fantasy points last week and leading the NFL in rushing yards over expectation, the field doesn't want to play him this week, creating value. The Bears offense, led by Ben Johnson, has been top two in yards per carry and EPA per rush since Johnson became play caller, suggesting the rushing attack's success wasn't a fluke.

Insight page
NegativeUsage50:41

Swift drew only one target and 21.1% route participation in week one despite posting 20.5 expected fantasy points, raising concerns about passing game involvement. However, the source notes Swift is game script sensitive and averages 17.9 DraftKings points per game in wins since last season, ranking top five among slate-eligible running backs this week. With the Bears as comfortable favorites against the Vikings, the source is not concerned about the lack of passing game involvement in this specific spot, as the game script should favor Swift's workload.

Insight page
NegativeUsage53:14

Swift's workload in Week 1 was noticeably lighter than David Montgomery's, serving as a comparative benchmark for Montgomery's superior snap distribution and red-zone opportunity share.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

NegativeProjection5:00

Historically, Dak averages only 20.2 DraftKings points per game in games with at least a 50-point over/under and has gone over 25 DK points in just one of seven games over that span. The source suggests the ceiling may be overestimated by the field despite the Cowboys-Commanders game having the highest total on the slate at 50 points.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveValue53:01

Montgomery carries only 6% projected ownership despite posting a better workload than DeAndre Swift in week one, making him an undervalued tournament play. The source highlights Montgomery's workload as comparable to or better than Swift's, positioning him as a strong value pick in DFS tournaments with low ownership.

Insight page
NegativeValue53:14

At 6% projected ownership, Montgomery offers strong DFS value; he had a better workload than DeAndre Swift and nearly matched Bucky Irving's snap distribution, dominated inside the 10-yard line on every running back opportunity, and ran more routes than Woody Marks. He scored three touchdowns last week and ranked among the top running backs in expected fantasy points due to elite touchdown equity. The Texans are incentivized to lean heavily on the run with Nico Collins out. However, the source hesitates slightly due to the depth of quality 6k running back options and the risk that Houston may not reach the red zone frequently.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveRole19:00

Henry continues to be a math problem for opposing defenses alongside Lamar Jackson. The combination makes it much easier for Lamar to have big performances even through the air.

Insight page
PositiveProjection34:00

Derrick Henry is a mega-smash play at 23% ownership. Since joining the Ravens, he averages over 23 DraftKings fantasy points per game in wins. He posted 19 expected fantasy points in Week 1 (top-seven mark at RB), and has historically dunked on expected fantasy points models for years. The Ravens are big favorites and could lean more on the run with Zay Flowers out, making this a game script-favorable spot where Henry's elite workload and game-script sensitivity align perfectly.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeBust81:40

DK Metcalf is a name the source goes back and forth on in terms of the extent to which to play him. The Steelers came out insanely pass heavy in week one (top two in pass rate over expectation), which is not surprising given Mike McCarthy's history and Aaron Rodgers' history with McCarthy. However, the source has two concerns: (1) DK Metcalf has literally never delivered in any of the weeks he's been a strong point per dollar play, which he very much is this week with consolidated targets and a great role; (2) the source wonders if the Steelers will be pass heavy for a second week in a row after the offense didn't work well in week one with them being so absurdly pass heavy. The Steelers had one of the worst offensive performances in terms of efficiency and yards per play in week one, next to the Falcons and Broncos. The source thinks they might decide to go more run heavy, feature 12 personnel and tight ends more, and notes that Jalen Coker is just as interesting as Metcalf but a hundred dollars cheaper.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveProjection32:47

Drake London is positioned as a potential Week 2 breakout candidate despite the narrative that he's screwed with Cooper Rush at QB. His career splits with Michael Penix are strong at over 20 DraftKings points per game, and the source sees a world where passing volume shifts more to London this week after Bijan Robinson absorbed 10 targets last week. London's splits with Penix suggest he could catch people off guard in Week 2 as the receiving game potentially normalizes.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection20:15

Drake Maye at 6,100 might be a sneaky play in tournaments despite back-to-back tough matchups against Seattle and now the Steelers. The source trusts the larger sample size of his MVP-caliber play from earlier in the season over recent tough matchups. The Steelers were solid last week but were playing against Cooper Rush, so it's unclear how much can be taken from that performance. Joey Porter Jr. is likely out again. With AJ Brown out, Maye has really cheap pass catchers available.

Insight page
PositiveValue21:38

At $6,100 salary, Drake May is positioned as a sneaky tournament play with upside despite AJ Brown being out. The source notes May was QB2 in fantasy points per game last year, scoring 90% of Josh Allen's fantasy output with a limited receiver core (Stefan Diggs in part-time role, not reaching 60-70% route share in many games). While his splits against top-seven defenses are poor, the cheap pass-catcher pricing around him in tournaments makes him a sharp angle worth considering.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveMatchup75:57

Garrett Wilson is only 6K and has a really strong schematic matchup. The Packers have shifted very cover four heavy with their new defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon (who was with the Cardinals and Eagles, both cover four heavy). Wilson is top three in targets per route run against cover four over the last three years behind only Drake London and JSN. The Packers could be a horrific defense that gets targeted every week; they are bottom five in EPA per drop back allowed on plays without Micah Parsons on the field going back to last year and were bottom 10 in pressure rate generated in week one. Geno Smith is the most pressure-sensitive quarterback in the NFL in terms of catchable throw rate and accurate throw rate, so it matters that he's not being pressured. Wilson ranked top five in first read target share in week one and had a top 10 XFP role among wide receivers despite the Jets leading the entirety of week one. The Jets offense used a lot more play action and ran from under center in week one, which are ways to juice passing game efficiency. If the game environment shoots out, Wilson could post a really strong score.

Insight page

George Pickens

PositiveProjection70:35

George Pickens is the most obvious bounce back candidate of any wide receiver this week. He lost 51 air yards due to drops in week one, which is more than what happened over the entirety of 2025 for him. He was negative five points below expectation (below his XFP), which is the worst mark he's ever had with the Cowboys. The source expects the bounce back is probably coming, though notes that Pickens is one of the chalkiest guys at the top of the slate at 17% projected ownership.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveValue48:02

Jamar Chase is coming in at 16% projected ownership against Houston, which the source found surprising, expecting him to be contrarian on the slate. However, at 7,600 (under 8K), the price point is hard to argue against. The source notes that the big reason for the ownership is the price.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveValue85:00

Jalen Coker is just as interesting as DK Metcalf but a hundred dollars cheaper. The source prefers Coker as an alternative to Metcalf in the Steelers offense.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveProjection37:07

Javante Williams is an amazing play relative to his 22% ownership, which is 12% lower than Bijan Robinson. He was top-six among all players at all positions in expected fantasy points per team play in Week 1, getting all the work out of the backfield. The Cowboys are favored, and Javante averages 18 DraftKings points per game in wins dating back to the start of last year. He's priced way too cheap for his bell-cow role, making him a strong tournament play despite the source's personal talent concerns.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup47:02

Williams is a low-6K running back tournament play, though the matchup against the Packers is a potential concern; the Packers didn't have much success in this spot last week. However, the Packers' run game and running backs are worse than the Bears' rushing attack, which has been elite under Ben Johnson.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveMatchup7:00

Daniels is intriguing against the Cowboys, who are a top-five quarterback matchup since the start of last season and have allowed the most rushing yards to quarterbacks over that span. The rushing upside for Daniels could be significant in a condensed stack.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeInjury54:26

Burrow is banged up heading into Week 2, which may influence the Bengals' offensive approach. The source notes that his injury status could affect Chase Brown's fantasy value, as Brown's historical success with a healthy Burrow may be tied to defenses respecting Burrow's passing ability rather than just increased run volume.

Insight page

Jordan Love

NegativeProjection8:15

Love is a totally fine play with a similar thesis to other top QBs on the slate. The Packers posted the fourth-best pass rate over expectation since Josh Jacobs joined the team, driven by ineffective running back play in Week 1 (Marshawn Lloyd had the worst rush yards over expectation per carry). The stack with Christian Watson and Matthew Golden is super easy.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeInjury29:20

Justin Herbert's interest hinges entirely on Ladd McConkie's health status. The Chargers' adjusted net yards per attempt dropped from top-five to worst in the NFL in Week 1 with and without McConkie on the field, indicating his impact is critical. The source will only play Herbert if Adam Schefter reports Sunday morning that McConkie will play with no limitations; otherwise, Herbert is off the board.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveMatchup10:30

Jefferson averages close to 20 DraftKings points per game in games with Carson Wentz. Against the Bears defense that just got shredded by Bryce Young and has been one of the worst defenses against the deep ball dating back to last season, Jefferson averages 1.7 deep targets per game (20+ yards downfield), the sixth most of any WR on the slate.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup70:59

Justin Jefferson is less surprising at the top of the slate because the source wants to play Vikings stacks. Jefferson on the deep ball is really strong against the Bears, which is a matchup the source had highlighted in advanced matchup analysis. If going over on anyone in the top four receivers, the source would go over on Jefferson.

Insight page

Kaelon Black

NegativeInjury36:00

Kalon Black is on the injury report this week, which could further reduce his already-limited role and give Christian McCaffrey even more volume in the 49ers backfield.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeUsage45:01

In Week 1, Kenny Gainwell ran routes on fewer than 58% of the Buccaneers dropbacks, less than Bucky Irving, indicating Irving is more involved in the passing game than Gainwell despite offseason concerns that Gainwell would cut into Irving's passing-game involvement.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveProjection17:30

Lamar is a top-five play on the slate at just 5% projected ownership on a slate without Josh Allen to threaten him. He looked healthy in Week 1 and hit 40 rushing yards for only the second time since injuring his hamstring in Week 4 of 2025, which has a massive impact on both rushing and passing efficiency. In 2024, he averaged 26.4 DK points per game with an MVP-level season. Over the last three years in fully healthy games, he averages 26.7 DK points per game and has gone over 29 in 38% of those games. Against the Saints, who created an overtime game script with 160 combined plays in Week 1.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveProjection71:48

Luther Burden had a 68.4% route participation rate in week one, a career high for him, and maintained 2.4 yards per route run on that higher route share. The source is willing to bet on a Burden bounce back. While the touchdowns weren't there, the usage could have been even better if he hadn't fumbled a screen on the first drive. He also had five first read targets last week, trailing only Khalif Raymond who had six, which is a promising sign.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeUsage8:15

Lloyd had the worst rush yards over expectation per carry of any running back in Week 1, which contributed to the Packers' high pass rate over expectation.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveRole8:15

Golden is one of the two receivers playing in two-receiver sets for the Packers in Week 1, consolidating the passing game alongside Christian Watson due to ineffective running back play.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeInjury54:03

Collins is out for Week 2, which significantly impacts the Texans' offensive strategy. His absence massively incentivizes Houston to lean heavily on the run game, benefiting running backs like David Montgomery. However, it also raises the risk that the Texans may not reach the red zone as frequently without Collins' deep-threat ability.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveValue65:15

Parker Washington is going to be in every single one of the source's Trevor Lawrence lineups and will also have some naked Parker Washington exposure. He's a baller who continues to score fantasy points and is not being projected up around the industry. He has an amazing schematic matchup in two ways: (1) Pat Surtain is expected to shadow Ryan Thomas Jr., and Surtain is one of the few corners worth legitimately adjusting projections for because Parker will stay away from him; (2) the Broncos are very man coverage heavy, and Lawrence has succeeded so much with Parker as a man beater, averaging almost three yards per route run against man, easily leading the team. Lawrence only dropped back three times in the second half on non-screens, so Washington had 19.3 DK fantasy points in basically one half of play with 20 expected fantasy points, a top six mark at the position.

Insight page

Rachaad White

PositiveValue50:30

At $5,600 salary with 1% projected ownership against a Broncos defense that showed vulnerability in week one, White offers contrarian value in DFS tournaments. The source notes White is an electric back with the ability to break off long runs, and despite limited NFL sample, has demonstrated this capability in the past. With the Broncos proving beatable after week one, White presents tournament upside at a mid-tier price point.

Insight page

Sean Tucker

NegativeRole45:09

Sean Tucker should play in Week 2 but the Buccaneers regime is not as high on him as a goal-line option; Tucker had to take a pay cut to even stay with the team this year, suggesting diminished role expectations and reduced red-zone opportunity share.

Insight page

T.J. Hockenson

PositiveRole11:30

Hockenson is an interesting double-stack option alongside Carson Wentz and Justin Jefferson against the Bears defense.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveProjection14:15

Lawrence is one of the source's favorite plays on the slate. Over his last five games, he averages 30.4 DK points per game, easily leading the slate; over his last 17 games, 21.8 DK points per game leads all QBs. He hung 30 DK points on the Broncos in Week 16 last year and is capable of hanging a massive score on this defense. The Broncos play a ton of man coverage, and Lawrence has been 50% more efficient by fantasy points per drop back against man. His rushing role is amazing in expected fantasy points; he gets the rushing role inside the 10-yard line (a Liam Cohen QB thing).

Insight page

Woody Marks

NegativeUsage53:58

Marks ran fewer routes than David Montgomery in Week 1, indicating a secondary role in the Texans' passing game relative to Montgomery.

0:00This is Outside The Box for Week 2 of the NFL season where I and Ryan Heath are going to be breaking down the DraftKings slate for tournaments.
0:09We're going to be looking at some of the chalkier players briefly and then trying to find some players that are outside the box to play in tournaments.
0:18We'll be going position by position starting with quarterbacks and running backs, receivers, tight ends.
0:23At the end, we will build some lineups as well, but of course, as usual, we're going to start with quarterbacks.
0:30Ryan, it's always interesting in Week 2 to see kind of how people are reacting to Week 1 because you'll get some
0:37overreactions, but you also do learn a fair amount of new information at the start of the season because Week 1, I
0:44mean, a lot of things happened that maybe we weren't expecting.
0:47So this is always kind of a fun week where I feel like there is a lot of edge.
0:53Has not been my most successful week typically historically, so hopefully we can break that front.
0:58And I do think that there is a lot of edge to be had here.
1:03Have you had success in Week 2 in the past?
1:07And do you think you found some edges for us today?
1:10Great way for us to start off the show, I just want to say, because I feel similarly to you in that
1:17usually going into Week 2, I feel very good and very confident.
1:21And like I've learned so much and I have so many really sharp and strong angles that the field isn't seeing.
1:28And I feel that way this week. But yeah, historically Week 2 has been probably one of my worst weeks in playing
1:35DFS because the confidence that we can get lulled into with only one week of data is so alluring.
1:41It's just very hard to remain humble to understand this is a one-game sample size.
1:46It feels like really big because it's the only sample we have.
1:50But yeah, we should definitely keep that in mind, I guess, throughout the show is like what we thought coming into the
1:57season is still more predictive than one week of data.
2:00This is a DFS show, but talking in terms of redraft, preseason ADP is more predictive than fantasy points per game in
2:07the new season until we get to Week 4 or Week 5.
2:11So I do think that is something to keep in mind as you're building your lineups this week.
2:17And as you're evaluating different plays, it's very easy to get suckered in by a one-game sample, particularly for passing games and
2:24wide receivers, I would say, is where it's probably most dangerous.
2:27I don't know. I saw Josh Palmer score a long touchdown in Week 1.
2:32He came in at 20% ownership on the showdown slate and immediately scored another long touchdown in Week 2.
2:38So I'm expecting Khalif Raymond to lead the Bears in first read targets every week this year because that's what we've seen so far.
2:45Yeah, no, I don't think that we can necessarily, like, we haven't necessarily been overconfident.
2:50You know, it might not be a mistake, the fact that we're losing in Week 2.
2:55It's a tough game when we play. We're playing tournaments, so you might have played excellently in the past and we just haven't gotten there.
3:03And this will be the first year that we actually do crush in Week 2.
3:08Let's hope that we do it for viewers of Outside the Box.
3:12Like last week, speaking of crushers, Scott Barrett last week.
3:15If you do miss Scott Barrett, I wanted to remind people that you can catch him on the Sunday morning show.
3:22Still, if you are a subscriber, two fantasy points.
3:25That is a Discord-only show Sunday mornings that Scott Barrett does with Johnny Proctor.
3:29And it came to mind because Scott, you know, wanted to remind me that his lineup outscored the lineup that we built last week.
3:37The lineup they built on that show put up 200 points.
3:41You and I do it. We built two lineups.
3:44One of them did cash. Our Jordan Love lineup cashed largely because of Love and Christian Watson, I'm sure.
3:50But yeah, they had success in their first week.
3:53So I wanted to remind people, if you want to still catch Scott on some DFS videos, make sure you check out
4:00that one in the Discord on Sunday morning with Johnny Proctor.
4:03But Ryan, let's get into this late. Let's start talking some quarterbacks.
4:07And as usual, we will start by talking about some of the chalkier pieces.
4:12And again, it's all relative. We don't have any mega chalk on this late.
4:16But we do have these top two kind of stand out from an ownership standpoint.
4:21Dak Prescott at 11%. Brock Purdy at 9%. You can just give your thoughts briefly.
4:26Are either of these a mega smash for you or a mega fade at these ownership numbers?
4:31I wouldn't say he's a mega fade, but definitely comparing the two of them, Brock Purdy is a lot more appealing to
4:38me than Dak Prescott in this spot. I think Dak has this kind of reputation as a quarterback you really want to play in DFS.
4:46He's so easy to stack. It's him, CD Pickens.
4:49It's just very easy to get there when this game has the highest total on the slate, a 50 point over under.
4:56I completely understand why people are gravitating to Dak this week.
5:00And I don't think it's necessarily wrong, but if we're poking holes in the chalk, going back to the start of last
5:07year, Dak only averages 20.2 DraftKings points per game in these games with at least a 50 point over under.
5:13He's only gone over 25 DK in one of seven games over that span.
5:18I do think there's an angle here where maybe the ceiling is being overestimated a little bit by people for Dak.
5:24Historically, I think it's been better to play these Cowboys shootouts through the other team, which maybe we'll get to with the commanders.
5:32But yeah, while like Dak Pickens, CD Stacks are fine.
5:35I much prefer the Brock Purdy angle here. He has just been amazing over averages over 25 DraftKings points per game.
5:42Over his last five since 2024, he trails only Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen in fantasy points per opportunity, leads all QBs in fantasy points per drop back.
5:51It is a massive spread, but we have seen Purdy blow up in some of these spots that I think he's just
5:58clearly one of the best plays on the slate.
6:01I think the ownership is right. If anything, I would flip him and Dak in my ownership rankings where I'm grading how
6:08good the plays are relative to ownership. Give me Purdy for sure.
6:12Yeah, Purdy jumped out to me immediately looking at the slate.
6:15They just have such a high total. A lot of fun ways to stack up, which we'll get to the how we're
6:22stacking Purdy later on once we get to some other positions.
6:26But he does. He looks like a pretty strong play even at 9% ownership.
6:30Moving down the list, we have a couple more interesting names right at the top.
6:35I guess let's get into the game of me guessing who you are going to be wanting to play this weekend.
6:42I should theoretically have a leg up in this game because I watched your first look show with Jake Trivey.
6:48But I've completely forgotten. That was on what, Tuesday?
6:51I've completely forgotten everything that you guys said on that show.
6:55Now I've had several days to think about Thursday night football, getting to the slate.
7:00Now I'm trying to remember who you talked about, and I just can't remember who you guys wanted to play.
7:06But you did just kind of give me a hint.
7:09And I think that the next two names on this list, I'm guessing at least one of them is going to be there.
7:17Because you just said you might have interest in Jaden Daniels, the opponent against that Dallas team.
7:22And then Jordan Love was a player that you and I were both really into last week because we think that they
7:29might pass the ball more this year. It might be more condensed, especially with Josh Jacobs.
7:34While Josh Jacobs is out. And now another pretty good matchup with the Jets.
7:39I don't know, at least a fine matchup with the Jets.
7:42So I think these two are kind of interesting names right off the top.
7:47Do you have any particular interest in Jaden Daniels or Jordan Love?
7:51I wouldn't say either are at the top of my list.
7:54But if I were playing like a 150 set, I would certainly have both of them in it.
8:00Jaden Daniels is intriguing because the Cowboys, just since the start of last season, are a top five quarterback matchup.
8:06Jake Trivey had a nice note on cashing points yesterday where the Cowboys have also been the defense that's allowed the most rushing to quarterbacks over that span.
8:15So I do think the rushing for Daniels could be good.
8:19It is nice and condensed and we can we'll get to the receivers.
8:23But I think the stack is pretty compelling as well.
8:26Love, I like. I think I don't like him.
8:29He doesn't make my heart sing quite as much as a few other QBs on this slate.
8:35I think it's a really good QB slate, to be clear.
8:38Love is a totally fine play. It's a similar thesis.
8:41I don't know that we see the Jets manage to push the Packers quite as much.
8:47But hey, it was the fourth best pass rate over expectation that the Packers have posted since Josh Jacobs joined the team.
8:54That makes a ton of sense because their running backs were completely ineffective in week one.
8:59Marshawn Lloyd had the worst rush yards over expectation per carry of any running back on the week.
9:05We saw the passing game consolidate to Christian Watson, Matthew Golden as the two receivers playing in the two receiver sets.
9:11So the stack is super easy with those two.
9:14So I do think Love is interesting as well.
9:17But yeah, probably not like a top five play on the slate for me.
9:22All right. Let me try to find a top five play on the slate for Ryan.
9:27I'm going to go with Carson Wentz just because of the price tag and the matchup.
9:32I mean, just what we saw last week from this Bears defense seems kind of promising.
9:37If Bryce Young can hang 39 points on a defense, hopefully Carson Wentz can also.
9:42Am I right that Carson Wentz is in your top five?
9:45Yes, I think Carson Wentz is clearly the best cheap quarterback on the slate.
9:50I think he's one of my top five quarterbacks overall for tournaments on the slate this week.
9:554,600 is just insane relative to the output we've seen from him when he's played under Kevin O'Connell.
10:01One thing that I think a lot of people have memory hold because it happened in the middle of the season last
10:08year and the Vikings other quarterbacks kind of like stole the narrative.
10:12Wentz was playing through a torn labrum and a dislocated shoulder for three games in 2025.
10:17He did not perform very well in any of those games.
10:21So I think a lot of the projections around the industry are maybe a little bit weighting that in more than I would argue makes sense.
10:29In three games that Wentz has played under Kevin O'Connell for the Vikings where he wasn't playing with a dislocated shoulder and a torn labrum.
10:3719.2, 26.2 and 15.3 draft Kings points. That's an awesome value.
10:41That's an awesome upside outcome for a QB that's this cheap.
10:44The stack is extremely easy. You just play Justin Jefferson.
10:47He averages close to 20 draft Kings points per game in games with Carson Wentz.
10:52It's up against a Bears defense that just got absolutely shredded by Bryce Young, which is never a particularly good sign for
10:59how your secondary is going to perform this season.
11:02But they even dating back to last season, the Bears have been one of the worst defenses against the deep ball.
11:09And Jefferson averages 1.7 deep targets per game, 20 or more yards downfield in these games with Wentz.
11:15That's the sixth most of any wide receiver on the slate.
11:18So I do think there is slate wrecking upside specifically from the Wentz plus Jefferson stack.
11:23I don't mind. Jake Tribby had a nice take on caching points, I thought, in terms of TJ Hawkinson as an interesting double stack option there.
11:32I think you could go there as well. So yeah, Wentz I feel really great about this week.
11:38Yeah, Wentz definitely one of the top on my list.
11:41I'm really surprised by the projected ownership that I see here at Fantasy Point and around the industry.
11:47I thought that for sure Wentz is going to be mega chalky.
11:50And maybe you're right. Maybe it's because he's being kind of under projected some places due to the injury last year affecting how he did in those games.
11:59But yeah, Wentz to me is just a smash.
12:02Until we learn that this Bears defense is not going to give up a ton of 30 plus points a game, I
12:09think we have to consider, especially when you get a competent quarterback with awesome pass catchers at 4,600.
12:15I mean, yeah, it just feels like an absolute smash to me.
12:19Another one, a quarterback that I want your thoughts on because I'm like sort of intrigued by it, but not totally sold.
12:26And I want to hear if you think that I'm totally nuts.
12:30But Baker Mayfield to me is pretty interesting in a revenge spot here against the Browns.
12:35The Browns were just awful last week against Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars in terms of like EPA per pass attempt allowed.
12:42I believe it was the best possible matchup. I think they gave up like the second most looking at the data suite
12:49second most fantasy points per drop back to quarterbacks.
12:52Maybe that was a Jaguars thing. So I might not be that the Browns defense was as bad as they looked last week.
12:59But, you know, Baker strikes me as having a little bit of vengeance in his heart.
13:05Did you have any interest in Baker Mayfield this week?
13:08I he wasn't one of my like top quarterbacks that I had in my head, but you make a decent case.
13:15I think my main pushback would be as you just alluded to.
13:18I think maybe we should be carrying that stat more over in terms of the Jaguars passing game as a hint for another guy.
13:26I really want to play. But no, Baker makes sense to me.
13:30And the Buccaneers overall as a team, I think, are one of the best by low sort of offenses after week one.
13:37They had a minus three turnover margin, a couple of dumb turnovers from Baker Mayfield, which is what we get occasionally from him.
13:44But that meant that they finished bottom six in total plays run.
13:48And that is just probably not going to be the case this week where they're massive favorites against the Browns.
13:55The offense, aside from the turnovers, was pretty exciting.
13:58We'll get into it when we talk about some running backs and wide receivers.
14:02But yeah, I think just from an overall like offensive environment regression standpoint, Baker makes a little bit of sense.
14:09But yeah, again, not one of my favorites. All right.
14:12You gave me a hint, so I'm just going to go there next.
14:16Trevor Lawrence, sounds like you're pretty interested in just playing the Jaguars, playing the hits.
14:21I think I'll have a good idea of who you want to play at wide receiver also if you're into Trevor Lawrence.
14:28So let's start there. Do you think he's – is Trevor Lawrence just for real at this point?
14:34Do you like the matchup? What do you like about Trevor Lawrence this week?
14:38I like basically everything about him. Yeah, I have a hard time arguing why you shouldn't play him.
14:44I think people are being scared off by the Broncos at home, which is understandable.
14:49But Lawrence hung like 30 DraftKings points on the Broncos in week 16 last year, which I'm not sure people remember.
14:55But he is absolutely capable of like hanging a massive score on specifically this defense.
15:00But yeah, Lawrence has just been amazing. He – let's see.
15:04My stats here are over his last five games, 30.4 DK points per game easily leads the slate.
15:10Even over his last 17 games, if you want a bigger sample, 21.8 DraftKings points per game leads all quarterbacks on the slate over that span.
15:18He's only priced as the QB 11. I just mentioned that he has destroyed this Broncos defense before, but it's also a nice schematic matchup.
15:26The Broncos play a ton of man coverage, and Lawrence has been 50% more efficient by fantasy points per drop back against man.
15:33Yeah, I just kind of don't see why we wouldn't go back to Lawrence.
15:38Just the rushing role is amazing in expected fantasy points, which we now have for quarterbacks.
15:43I – at the fantasy points data suite that people can check out.
15:47That's new this year. He's just been top three because, yeah, he gets the rushing role inside the 10-yard line.
15:54That's also a Liam Cohen quarterback thing where he encourages his QBs to go for that, as we saw with Baker Mayfield a couple years ago too.
16:02So, yeah, I think Lawrence is just one of my favorite plays.
16:06I don't know if he'll be everyone's favorite GPP play.
16:09That's maybe my one caveat is I do think he's someone that could catch steam as we get into the weekend and
16:16everybody listens to their DFS podcasts, but that's more of a feeling thing.
16:21I'm going to play a bunch of him. I mean, he's coming in, yeah, 5% projected ownership seems pretty fair.
16:27Honestly, he's one that I've struggled with. Like, how much interest should I have in Lawrence because of, like you said, the Broncos at home?
16:35Tough, tough matchup. Now, we saw them, the defense just got, you know, torn to shreds by the Chiefs last week, and
16:42I couldn't decide if, like, is that really sticky or is that just like they were in Arrowhead and the Chiefs are just good at home?
16:50And, you know, I didn't know to what extent I should believe in that because I thought going into that game, like,
16:58oh, this Broncos defense is going to be really tough.
17:01They kept most of the defense they had from last year, which was really good, and usually that continuity, it's like, okay,
17:08you can probably count on them being good again, and then they just, they look broken in that game against the Chiefs.
17:15So, yeah, so I like the call of Trevor Lawrence.
17:18I'll probably get to some Lawrence, but he's not one that had stood out to me.
17:23Who else? Who else is on your list? I've got at least one name that I want to throw at you, but
17:30before we get there, I just want to open it up and see if there's anybody else on your list that you
17:37are like, this is a must play this week.
17:40I don't know if I have anyone else that's like must play.
17:44There's what? Well, there's two other quarterbacks that I'm interested in playing that I would consider top five plays on the slate.
17:51I guess I'll talk about Lamar Jackson. That's probably the most interesting one to me.
17:56I think it's so Zay Flowers is doubtful, not going to play more than likely.
18:01But even despite that, I think it's a little crazy that Lamar is coming in at 5% on a slate that doesn't
18:08have Josh Allen to like kind of threaten him in terms of posting an unmatchable quarterback score.
18:13I do think that is now back in Lamar Jackson's range of outcomes every single week because he looked healthy in week
18:20one and he hit 40 rushing yards for only the second time since he had originally injured his hamstring back in week four of 2025.
18:28That has a massive impact, obviously not only on his rushing, but also on his passing efficiency.
18:34The stat I had thrown been throwing around in the offseason was Lamar is a top two passer in the NFL by
18:41every efficiency stat from the pocket last year before his injury before defenses could just kind of cheat and say, well, we
18:48know you aren't a threat on the ground. The math is like not just fully against us.
18:53We can play you differently. Unfortunately, that's not the case anymore.
18:57Now, Lamar and Derrick Henry continues to just be a math problem for opposing defenses.
19:02You can't account for all of it. And that makes it much easier for Lamar to have these big performances even through the air.
19:10In 2024, he was averaging 26.4 DraftKings points per game.
19:13Had like an MVP level season. Even if you want to take all of the games in 2025 before he injured his
19:20hamstring and include last week in your sample. So the last three years in fully healthy games, 26.7 DraftKings fantasy points per
19:27game has gone over 29 in 38 percent of those.
19:30It's against this Saints team that just created a overtime game script with like 160 combined plays in Lion Saints last week.
19:37I don't know, man. I think Lamar is just one like one of the more exciting QB plays this week.
19:44Yeah, no, I like Lamar for sure stands out as one of the better plays on the slate.
19:49The biggest concern would be the game script just getting out of hand and it becoming a Derrick Henry game against the Saints in Baltimore.
19:57But yeah, no, I'm with you. I think Lamar just seeing that upside again is fun for one of the most fun
20:04players in fantasy football or in football in general, I should say.
20:08Good to see Lamar Jackson back to being what he has been at his peak.
20:13Let me throw a name at you just because it's one that I'm like toying with and I think I'm going to do it.
20:21But I'm going to give you the opportunity to tell me that I am nuts for considering Drake May against the Steelers.
20:28Because to me, Drake May, people are kind of trying to write him off right now.
20:33After last year, he was an MVP candidate. A lot of people thought he's a schedule merchant.
20:39This is not real. He's just playing in the best possible, having the best possible schedule.
20:44And then towards the end of the playoffs, you know, kind of didn't live up to the same type of production as he had early on.
20:52And now he has back-to-back games against Seattle where he's just been pretty bad fantasy-wise.
20:57And theoretically, this could be another tough matchup with the Steelers.
21:00I'm just, I think to me, I'm not convinced that Drake May is not, you know, an MVP caliber player.
21:07I don't think we know that for sure. I think he's had a couple really tough matchups in a row.
21:13I think I'm going to trust the larger sample size there.
21:17But then also you've got the Steelers. We thought they were going to be a good defense coming into the year.
21:24And they were solid last week. But they were playing against Cooper Rush.
21:28I don't know that I can really take away anything from what the Steelers did against Cooper Rush.
21:33Because I think every defense is going to look great against Cooper Rush.
21:38And Joey Porter Jr. is going to be out most likely once again.
21:42So I'm kind of, I think that Drake May might be kind of a sneaky play at 6100.
21:48Just knowing the upside that he has. And then he has, you know, really cheap pass catchers with AJ Brown out.
21:54Do you think I'm nuts for having an interest in Drake May in tournaments?
21:59I don't think you're nuts. Graham Barfield brought up the same player on cashing points and caught me off guard a little bit.
22:06But now that I've like had a little time to digest that and think about it, fair enough is what I would say.
22:14Yeah, the splits with Drake May against like top seven defenses.
22:17So the entirety of the playoff run plus these last two games against Seattle are very bad.
22:23But yeah, this guy was the QB two in fantasy points per game last year.
22:27Only like not he was scoring 90% of what Josh Allen was in fantasy football.
22:32I had not really a great receiver core, right?
22:35It was Stefan Diggs in a part time role.
22:38Not not even getting up to like a 60, 70% route share in a lot of those games where May was absolutely nuking.
22:45So, yeah, the more I've thought about it, the more I have come around on it a little bit.
22:52I think he's difficult to stack. I do have one Patriots receiver that we'll probably talk about later that I think could be a good pairing with him.
23:01But yeah, like I hear you. I think that's a pretty sharp angle to be considering.
23:06I don't know if I'll get to it, but I do.
23:09I'd like the thought there. Okay, I think that's I'll take that.
23:13That's that's at least permission to play to play Drake May.
23:17If you also like the angle there. I guess what one other name that I want to get your your thoughts on
23:24Caleb Williams last week rushed 10 times for 65 yards and two touchdowns.
23:28Like I don't know where that came from. Didn't really bring along the pass catchers that you want to stack up with him.
23:35Now he's 6800 in a tough matchup with Brian Flores.
23:38But you can make the argument that with the Vikings being so aggressive like there there might be opportunities there for for
23:46Ben Johnson and the Bears to potentially exploit that.
23:48But you know expensive probably going to get some ownership just based on how good he was last week.
23:55I only project for 4%. What's your level of interest in Caleb Williams?
23:59Very high. He was the name I almost said instead of Lamar Jackson.
24:03I think that's really my only like way I'm going back and forth is I'm paying up at QB is Lamar just better than Caleb.
24:11It's very close for me. I think they're both awesome plays.
24:14Because Caleb has five career games where the total is 48 points or higher.
24:19He averages 25.7 DraftKings points per game in those contests.
24:22That's behind only Josh Allen if you were to do a similar split for every quarterback in the league.
24:28So he has nuked in these higher total games.
24:31There's only really two of those on this slate.
24:34I think it's compelling. I think the rushing angle is very compelling for him.
24:39The Vikings as we talked about last week are one of the most blitz heavy teams in the league.
24:45We were wrong about Jaden Reed against the blitz last week.
24:48But I think even more straightforwardly. Caleb Williams gets up to the second highest scramble rate in the NFL when he faces
24:55the blitz going back to last year. So I really do think Caleb as a single stack with all with all of
25:02his pieces still being cheap because none of them paid off last week.
25:07That's pretty fun to me. I am definitely moved somewhat by that.
25:10Especially with the field. I think largely playing this game through the Vikings side.
25:15Yeah, just going right back to Caleb. Guy that led all players and fantasy points in week one is fair enough.
25:22Honestly, I kind of like that. Yeah, I think Caleb is a pretty strong angle.
25:26We know the upside. We just saw it last week from Caleb Williams.
25:31Wide range of outcomes, I'd say, against the Vikings, but worth playing at least in tournaments at low ownership.
25:37Are there any other quarterbacks that you feel compelled to talk about before we move on to running backs?
25:43Can I ask you about a quarterback? Yeah. Bo Nix projects as like a top three point per dollar value around the industry.
25:50Does anyone want to play Bo Nix? Are you going to play Bo Nix?
25:55I don't want to. I have zero desire whatsoever after watching what the Davis Webb play calling Broncos looked like on Monday night.
26:02But I'm sure everyone feels like that, right? This might be one of those week one things where we all watched a
26:09game on national TV where the Broncos offense looked completely lost in Davis Webb's first time calling a game.
26:15All the people that are actually having to project games relative to Vegas totals and everything are saying Bo Nix is a really great value on the slate.
26:24I don't know. I'm not saying I want to play him, but it feels like, I don't know, it's a spot I
26:31wanted to just ask you about and pick your brain on because it's like really tricky for me.
26:37Yeah, no, I think that that's a good note on Bo Nix.
26:41Like, I do think he's a good name to bring up because these are the exact spots where it's like we all
26:48just watched him like on primetime game look terrible, look like the whole offense is broken.
26:53Everybody's ready to write off Davis Webb is like, well, now they're not gonna be good anymore because Sean Payton's not the play caller.
27:01They're not gonna do it with Davis Webb. So everybody kind of jumping off.
27:05But Bo Nix has been kind of inconsistent throughout his career, right?
27:09And we don't know, like, yeah, Davis Webb, sample size of one against a Steve Spagnuolo, awesome Chiefs defense.
27:15He was not great. Now, the tough thing here for me with Bo Nix is the matchup because they have another really tough matchup with the Jaguars.
27:24But at least this one is in Denver where you'd think they'd have a pretty big home field advantage in Denver.
27:31Yeah, no, I kind of like it. I think that they should be able to adjust the offense.
27:37I'd expect them to be at least, you know, much better than they were last week against the Chiefs.
27:43So I like to call out they're gonna play fast.
27:46They Sean Payton said this week, you know, he keeps on talking about all the fantasy points.
27:51Maybe he doesn't talk about in terms of fantasy points, but all the usage that Jalen Waddle is going to get.
27:58You've got Pat Bryant there who is who is used in a pretty significant way last week.
28:04So there's ways to stack it up. He's projected for 5% ownership, which to me is like, that's fine.
28:10Like it doesn't strike me as like super smash if he gets to 5% ownership, but it does seem like, yeah, I
28:17think he's probably going to be in my player pool because he's not getting crazy high ownership.
28:22I just it's hard for me to be as enthusiastic about it as I'd like to be for a like potential bounce
28:29back spot because he's playing the Jaguars. If he was playing the Bears and getting he'd probably be getting 7% ownership.
28:36Then I'd be like, that's a smash. I want to play all the Bo Nix.
28:41It's just tougher for me against the Jaguars, who I do think have a pretty good defense.
28:46So yeah, I think I think I'm I'm I'm on it with with Bo Nix.
28:51I think I will play some it's not going to be he won't be one of my top five highest exposed quarterbacks.
28:58At least I don't think he will. But I do like playing some and potentially doing the full game stack there, which
29:05is to like kind of, I think tougher defenses.
29:08So not like the best blow up spot, but like wouldn't be that surprising to see it play kind of fast and the offense is looking pretty competent.
29:17Yeah, I like I like the idea of playing a little bit of Bo Nix.
29:22All right. Any other any other quarterbacks? You know, Justin Herbert was a guy we all want to play last week.
29:29We're jumping off that, I guess. Any others that you are like enthusiastic about?
29:33Herbert, I think if we hear from Adam Schefter on Sunday morning that Ladd McConkie is going to play and have no
29:40limitations, then I could be talked into it. But the literally the Chargers by adjusted net yards per attempt went from a
29:47top five offense to the worst offense in the NFL in week one with and without Ladd McConkie on the field.
29:54So I think really that is going to drive my Herbert interest.
29:58If Ladd's not playing or sounds like he'll be limited, I will not be playing any Herbert.
30:03I think that's good at the QB position. I didn't have anyone else I really wanted to bring up.
30:09All right. Yeah, that works for me. Let's move on to running backs.
30:14At the top of the list, we have Bijan Robinson at 34 percent.
30:18Derrick Henry, 23 percent. Christian McCaffrey, 22. Javante Williams, 22 percent.
30:21Aaron Jones, 20 percent. I'd say those those five I would I would consider to be the chalk that we should talk about.
30:29Are there any of these names that you look at and think that's disgusting?
30:33I don't want any part of that or any of these that you think I'm going to be double the field.
30:40How are you feeling about these top five in terms of ownership?
30:44I think I have two clear favorites here or I'll say two and a half clear favorites.
30:49I'll start talking about Bijan Robinson. I understand why he's projected as the highest owned player on the slate.
30:55He probably should be. That's like that's probably just right.
30:59A guy had the highest target share in a single game by a running back in fantasy points data history.
31:05Last week, over 40 percent. Just insane usage. The Falcons decided, hey, we don't actually want to be a serious offense.
31:12We just want to or maybe that's their attempt at being a serious offense with Cooper Rush.
31:17But either way, it's it's good for Bijan Robinson and fantasy, I suppose, if he's just going to get peppered the entire game.
31:25I do think if you're looking for an angle or like a reason to poke a hole in Bijan Robinson, it's historically
31:32he has not been that highly targeted against the Panthers.
31:35So over the past three seasons, we have six games between Bijan Robinson and the Panthers with their defensive coordinator.
31:41He has only gone over a 15 percent target share in one of those games.
31:46And again, last week, 40 percent target share for Bijan Robinson.
31:50Just for comparison, never more than six targets in any of those.
31:54I mean, he's gone over 25 DK in half of them.
31:57So it's not as if he needs the receiving game to pay off here.
32:02But I do think if in terms of one week samples that people may be over index on 10 targets for Bijan
32:09and four targets for Drake London is maybe one of those where it's like, yeah, I could see Drake London just being way more involved in week two.
32:18I his splits are really good with Michael Penix.
32:21He's over 20 DraftKings points per game in his career with Penix.
32:24I think the natural tendency and mine included is to say, wow, Drake London is screwed as long as it's Cooper Rush.
32:31And that's probably true. And I do think there are better wide receiver plays in London.
32:37But I do see a world where kind of more of the passing volume shifts over there this week.
32:43And that's like a thing that catches people off guard in week two.
32:47So that's maybe one kind of note in terms of the or do you have thoughts on Bijan before I get into
32:54the chalk that the other chalky guys that I like?
32:57Or can we go to them? You know, I think that I'm largely on the same page as you like.
33:04I'm certainly I don't anticipate being overweight on Bijan.
33:06I don't think that he's like the smash play that Jameer Gibbs was last week.
33:11He was one that I frankly I missed out.
33:14I missed on Bijan last week. I was not really into it against the Steelers.
33:19I thought it's going to be tough going with Cooper Rush.
33:23Did not anticipate the 10 targets last week for Bijan.
33:26Obviously has the upside, but at 34% ownership, I imagine I'll be a bit light there.
33:31Just on the assumption that things could go a little bit differently.
33:35We could see, you know, not quite the same condensation on on Bijan this week.
33:40So yeah, we can we can move on. Yeah, and I think a lot of my reasoning for taking that angle with
33:47Bijan is I think each of the next three names that are listed are basically just as good as him for tournaments.
33:54Like I think the ownership ideally or my exposures would be much closer with him and Henry McCaffrey and Javante.
34:00Derek Henry, since he joined the Ravens averages over 23 DraftKings fantasy points per game in wins.
34:06He's just a really strong play. The Ravens are big favorites.
34:09There's I don't know. There's like no additional analysis to give on Derek Henry.
34:14Like the guy came in with one of the best workloads that he had has seen, at least compared to last year.
34:2119 expected fantasy points in week one. A top seven mark at the running back position.
34:26Let all running backs in DraftKings fantasy points. More than any other player, he has been dunking on the expected fantasy points models for years now.
34:34This is just another spot where he could do that.
34:37Ravens could decide to lean more on the run with Zay Flowers out, of course.
34:42So I think Henry is like right there with Bijan as my top running back play on the slate.
34:48McCaffrey is intriguing to me because I think we would see 50% ownership if he was anywhere close to his normal workload in week one.
34:56It could very easily have it. I shouldn't even say very easily.
35:00I think it is most likely that McCaffrey did not have his usual workload because almost none of the 49ers did.
35:07This was a game halfway around the world, a 17 hour flight that was not competitive for most of it.
35:13So I think you can very easily tell a story where Kyle Shanahan said, OK, yeah, Kalon Black looks pretty good.
35:20We don't really need McCaffrey in this game as much.
35:23CMC still got all of the high value work.
35:26Was clearly the leader in terms of targets and routes out of the backfield.
35:31Was playing everything pretty much inside the 20s. Yeah, still getting all the high value touches.
35:36Just was losing some between the 20s in a game that was never really that competitive.
35:41Yeah, McCaffrey on his normal workload would, again, be a 50% owned player on this slate.
35:4613 and a half point favorites against the UFL level Dolphins.
35:50McCaffrey is an amazing play. I don't play cash.
35:53I imagine like maybe he's a little scarier in cash just because of workload stuff.
35:57But for tournaments, I think he's amazing. And also Kalon Black is on the injury report this week.
36:03So potentially Mike McCaffrey just gets everything. It may not even matter.
36:07So CMC, amazing play. Javante Williams, also an amazing play, I think.
36:11Or again, relative to ownership to Bijan being 12% higher than him in these projections.
36:16I think Javante is just as good a play as Bijan.
36:19He was top six among all players at all positions in XFP per team play in week one.
36:25He just got all of the work out of the backfield here.
36:29Cowboys are favored in this game. Javante averages 18 DraftKings points per game in wins.
36:34Going back to the start of last year, he's priced way too cheap.
36:38He also is a good play to me. So yeah, I think all of the...
36:43Or I forgot to talk about Aaron Jones. I would rank him probably closer to Bijan in terms of how my level of interest.
36:50But yeah, I think the three guys in the middle are like the ones I feel best about.
36:56I don't know about you, Neil. Yeah, I would say the one that I maybe have a little bit flipped and maybe it's not right.
37:04But Javante to me is kind of like fine at 22%, but not like a smash.
37:09Maybe I'm underrating. Maybe I'm underrating the matchup with Washington.
37:13Just looking at the fantasy points they allowed per opportunity.
37:16It was a good but not amazing matchup for Javante.
37:19Not quite as involved in the passing game as I'd like him to be.
37:24But you're probably right because he does get like he's basically getting all the usage for the Cowboys.
37:29I think I just maybe I just don't believe in the talent quite as much.
37:34So I just struggle with Javante when he's getting ownership.
37:37It's less exciting. Whereas like, yeah, Derrick Henry, like one of the most game script sensitive running backs in the NFL.
37:44And this is going to be a game in their favor, what, seven and a half points like they should be able to absolutely smash.
37:52So this is very much a Derrick Henry spot.
37:5523% ownership seems totally fair. Christian McCaffrey, you made all the points that I would make of just like, yeah, if he
38:02we don't know that he's going to get his usual workload.
38:06And it is worth noting that, yeah, especially this would be a game where they could pull back his usage again because they're playing the Dolphins.
38:14They might not necessarily need to use him. But like you said, he's getting the high value touches anyway.
38:20So I'm going to make the bet on McCaffrey just getting enough usage again in a spot where San Francisco should be
38:27able to just put their foot on the pedal.
38:30So, yeah, I love McCaffrey, Henry and then Aaron Jones don't really know to what extent the Vikings will lean on him.
38:37I think he's going to be a bell cow this week.
38:41And I think the Bears, when we saw Chuba had a really nice game against them last week, I think it's a nice matchup.
38:48Just just don't know to what extent they're going to lean on the run versus just passing the ball a lot more with without Jordan Mason.
38:57And what to what extent Aaron Jones is going to be involved in the passing game?
39:02I think he only had like two targets last week.
39:05Now we expect that that would be a lot more for Aaron Jones.
39:09So, yeah, he's it's an open question what we're going to see there.
39:13But I think he's a fairly strong play at his salary.
39:17The ownership is enough that it's not an absolute smash.
39:20I think, yeah, I think the cash game plays are like Aaron Jones, Bijan and then figure it out from there.
39:27But, yeah, no, I like Aaron Jones, but I think I'm kind of with the field there.
39:32Not not really over the field. But I think in general, I'm on the same page as you were like, yeah, McCaffrey, mega smash, Derek Henry, mega smash.
39:41Bijan, enough ownership that I'm a little bit questioning it.
39:45Yeah. And then to me, I think I I'm not quite as high on Javante as you, but that might just be a Javante bias on my part.
39:54And then Aaron Jones, I'm kind of kind of with the field.
39:57So on Javante, it's just interesting to bring up in terms of like week one over reactions.
40:03I also hated Javante this offseason. I am not a Javante Williams guy, but I don't know.
40:08I feel like I'm for years. I felt like I got owned by Derek Henry over and over and over.
40:15I was constantly the nerd with the spreadsheet getting shoved into a locker saying, yeah, Derek Henry can't possibly keep this up for another season.
40:23Look at this age curve that I that I drew that shows Derek Henry is going to suck this year, guys.
40:30That was not me this year. I turned over that leaf with Derek Henry did not turn over the Javante Williams leaf whatsoever was I agree.
40:38I'm not that high on his talent, but I don't know.
40:41This was one where it just became week one and it was undeniable to me.
40:46Malik Davis, who was going to be there, RB2 got injured like three days before the season.
40:52So they end up with Amari Di Mercado, who's like a pass pro specialist and played like three snaps in week one.
40:59I don't know how much that's going to increase.
41:02Like, I do think at least for the early season, it's just been like a perfect possible run out for Javante.
41:08And I I don't know. There's a part of me that wants to like shift quickly on those types of players that
41:15I had like big workload doubts on coming into the year.
41:19But yeah, it's that's interesting. I'm not really sure what's like the right way to approach that.
41:24Yeah, no, I think that that probably is the right way to to to shift pretty quickly once we have more information
41:32because, yeah, it's looking like he's just going to be a bell cow.
41:36Just the ownership is enough to me and the price tag, I guess, that I'm at a glance not as excited about it.
41:43But maybe maybe by the time I actually make lineups, I will have been convinced that that Javante is a smash play.
41:50Then moving down the ownership list, I was not going to continue with the chop conversation.
41:55But I do think Ashton Gentry is an interesting conversation just seeing the workload last week for Gentry.
42:01I mean, he looks like he's he's fully healthy.
42:04He's going to have all the work he can handle.
42:07He's 6,800. That seems like a pretty fair price tag for Gentry.
42:11This is one that I think we got right last week.
42:15We talked about how like, yeah, why? Why is Gentry not getting more ownership?
42:19And then he was he had a very strong game.
42:22Are we going back to the Ashton Gentry well against the Chargers?
42:26I'm definitely willing to. Yeah, I think the ownership or the hesitance people might have is just game script related where it's
42:33like, hey, they got to beat up on the Dolphins last week.
42:37Maybe it won't be the same against the Chargers.
42:40I don't know that it matters. Gentry was being used like an every down bell cow.
42:45We saw him throughout his rookie season be used in that way where he was just a top four, top five target
42:52share at the running back position all season. It's exactly what we saw in week one, even though he was coming off of the prayer circle ankle injury.
43:01I think he's just an undeniable bell cow and he's priced too cheaply for that type of role.
43:07So, yeah, I like Gentry quite a bit. I think he makes sense to just go right back to this week.
43:14You already mentioned some interest in I think you were alluding to having some interest in Bucky Irving this week at 6,100
43:2112 percent projected ownership against that Cleveland defense that I know I thought they're going to be pretty good coming to the year.
43:28I'm not throwing away everything that I thought about them.
43:31But what's your level of interest in Bucky? Very high, I would say.
43:36Yeah, I think maybe the best argument for like not going as heavy on Javante Williams is Bucky Irving's right there in a similar price range.
43:44And I I think Bucky's an incredible ownership adjusted play here.
43:47I this is I just want to like rewind for everybody like where we've come from and gone on Bucky Irving in the 2025 offseason.
43:55This guy was being drafted at the end of round two in every fantasy draft like he was an ascending talent heading into his second season.
44:04I had just completely smashed down the stretch of his rookie year, like I believe, led all running backs in fantasy points
44:11per game in healthy games over his last seven games post by whatever it was in his rookie season.
44:17Everybody was excited about Bucky Irving. All the film guys pretty much were excited about Bucky Irving.
44:22He had looked great. And last year, he we came into the season.
44:27The Buccaneers offensive line was completely decimated with injuries for most of it.
44:31Irving had a bell cow workload for the first month of 2025, but got injured, came back, was losing high value touches to Sean Tucker.
44:39I was continuing to lose a lot of targets to Rashad White, was just kind of getting squeezed from both directions, as
44:46you might say, for high value touches, which are just so important at the running back position in fantasy football, right?
44:53In week one, all of our concerns on that got answered to my eye, at the very least.
44:58Career high 25% target share for Bucky last week.
45:01Ran a route on 58% of the Buccaneers dropbacks, more than Kenny Gainwell, so played more in the passing game than he did.
45:09Got everything in the red zone. And Sean Tucker should play this week.
45:13I don't think that this regime is as high on Sean Tucker as a goal line option.
45:18He had to take a pay cut to even stay with the team this year.
45:23So I think we're just back at a place.
45:26Just, again, try to bring yourself back to after Bucky's rookie season.
45:30I think that's just where we are with him, where at 6,100, similarly to Javante, he's just priced way too cheaply for
45:37a running back with a three-down bell cow workload.
45:40In this awesome spot where the Buccaneers are huge favorites against this Browns defense, that it does not seem to be that scary without Miles Garrett after all.
45:49So, yeah, I think Bucky's just an amazing, amazing play.
45:52I talked about the team level regression stuff with Baker Mayfield.
45:56That all super applies to Bucky as well. Despite all those turnovers, he still got to 20 DK last week on, like,
46:03yeah, with some of the fewest plays of any team in the NFL.
46:07So, yeah, why not? I think Bucky's awesome this week.
46:10Yeah, no, I like that call. Also, yeah, I was planning on playing it through the passing game primarily.
46:16But you can also, I think, include Bucky in that passing game equation.
46:20You can include him in those Baker stacks, as you mentioned.
46:24More involved in the passing game. I think a lot of us, you know, thought this offseason, we were concerned about how
46:31much Kenny Gainwell was going to cut into the passing game involvement for Bucky Irving.
46:36That doesn't seem like that's going to be a big concern.
46:39Looks like he's going to be pretty involved. Yeah, so Bucky, another strong target.
46:44Who are some other names that you're targeting at the running back position?
46:48Do you have any favorites that are getting less ownership here?
46:52There's a lot of intriguing ones. So maybe I need a little help narrowing some down.
46:57I'll throw a couple names out. I think DeAndre Swift is interesting.
47:01That after what he did and what the Bears offense did last week, and he was top seven or top five at
47:08the position in expected fantasy points, I easily led the NFL in Rashard's over-expectation, or him and Monungay were number one and
47:15number two, that the field just doesn't want to play him this week.
47:19That's interesting to me. Especially, again, you know what?
47:22You are, I'm just talking myself out of Javante as we talk about more of these like low 6K running backs.
47:29I think all of these guys are awesome tournament plays.
47:32I guess like with him, the argument back against him would be the matchup.
47:36The Packers didn't have much success last week in this spot, but also I think their run game and their running backs
47:43are a lot worse than the Ben Johnson running game.
47:46The guy's been top two in yards per carry, EPA per rush, every rushing statistic since he became a play caller.
47:53So maybe we shouldn't have been that surprised that this Bears rushing attack was so potent.
47:58Yeah, I kind of like the idea of DeAndre Swift.
48:02Chase Brown and David Montgomery are both intriguing plays.
48:04I'll give you one like very crazy one that like outside the box was just made for.
48:10Bachel Tootin. This Broncos defense just allowed the most missed tackles forced of any defense in any game going back to at least 2025.
48:18I believe also going back to 2024 previous years, most missed tackles forced allowed to a running back in the run game.
48:25It wasn't just Ken Walker either. Emmett Johnson was also one of the top three running backs in missed tackles forced per touch in week one.
48:33They just couldn't tackle anybody. Bachel Tootin was also a top four running back by missed tackles forced per touch in week one.
48:40He looked amazing, I thought. We didn't really get a sense totally of what the goal line and receiving roles and high
48:48value touches were going to be in terms of how they would be split apart between Tootin and Searod in week one
48:55just because the Jaguars ran so few plays. That game was over with and completely out of the question by halftime.
49:01So there's like some uncertainty here. Liam Cohen sounded really impressed with Tootin after week one.
49:06This was a player that coming into the season was one of my bigger flag plants in season-long fantasy football.
49:13Just because these Liam Cohen backfields are always so valuable because he designs all of these screens to the running backs.
49:20Tootin had a nice play on a screen in week one.
49:23We could see even more of that in a more competitive game.
49:27I think there's a chance that he has the goal line role.
49:31We don't really know, I would say. Between him and Searod, there was like one snap that Searod came in on the
49:3810, but it was like after Tootin had recovered a fumble.
49:42It wasn't like really a legit, oh, Searod just is the goal line back.
49:46To me, at least how I interpreted it. So yeah, at 5,600 and no one's going to play him, that's kind of interesting to me.
49:54I don't know if I'll get to it in like a hand building, a three max or something, just because there's so much good running back value.
50:03But just a name I wanted to shout out there for the MME bros.
50:07I mean, 1% projected ownership against a defense. Like he's an electric back.
50:11We know that Tootin has the ability to break off a long run.
50:16We haven't really seen it in the NFL so much, but we've seen it in the past for Tootin.
50:22We're pretty sure that he has that in his bag.
50:25And now we're facing a Broncos defense that we thought was going to be really good.
50:30I still think is going to be really good.
50:33But our one week sample tells us that they can be beat.
50:37They can, you know, he could just have an electric game against them.
50:41At 1% ownership at mid 5,000 price tag. I like that.
50:44I like that shout out of facial Tootin. And DeAndre Swift, so are you concerned at all about the like passing game involvement?
50:52That was the part that surprised me with Swift.
50:55Just one target, 21.1% route participation. Like you said, still had 20.5 expected fantasy points.
51:00So like the workload was still good enough from a pretty fantasy friendly.
51:04But I don't know, that kind of scared me off him against the Vikings, like not being involved in the passing game.
51:11Um, yeah, I guess I, I did a write-up of the Bears and did not include DeAndre Swift as a play.
51:18And now you have me doubting it, but, uh, to what extent are you concerned about the lack of passing game involvement last week?
51:25I, I mean, a little concerned from like a season long perspective, but in this spot, uh, where the Bears, is it
51:32a four point spread, five point spread, something like that.
51:36They're like comfortable favorites in this game. I don't know that it matters that much.
51:40Uh, Swift has also been kind of a low key, fairly game script sensitive back, uh, in wins since the start of last season.
51:48He averages 17.9 DraftKings points per game, which would rank top five, uh, among the slate eligible running backs this week.
51:55Uh, I, I think as, as long as you're building such that it's assuming that the Bears kind of dominate this game,
52:02I don't see any issue with the passing game involvement for Swift.
52:06This week. Um, that, that is like one reason I think to pull back after week one and redraft and say, Hey,
52:13maybe I'm not rocketing, uh, Swift super far up my rest of season rankings, but it, yeah, specifically in the spot, I,
52:20I, I'm not really that worried about it. Okay.
52:23Yeah. I guess, I guess my, my concern is like, well, common on that was so involved in the passing game that he had such a big week.
52:32Um, I don't know if, if there's maybe he, uh, carves out more of a role going forward, but probably, probably not a concern yet at this point.
52:41Like you said, this is just, uh, there, they are favorites.
52:44It should be a nice spot for Swift. Um, so we can, we can roll him out there.
52:50Any other, any other names that you want to talk about at running back?
52:55And if you don't have any, I'll see if I have any that I want to throw at you.
53:01If you, uh, don't come up with any, um, let's just, there are several other players that I, I think you could play in a tournament.
53:09There's so many good running back plays. Um, let, let's just talk about David Montgomery.
53:14Uh, Trey, if you want to throw up his projected ownership there, I think there's like a point I want to make on this.
53:22Uh, yeah, just 6% projected ownership on David Montgomery.
53:24After, I mean, he had to my eye a better workload than DeAndre Swift.
53:29Um, pretty damn close to a Bucky Irving. Uh, just in terms of, yeah, he didn't play like every snap, but inside the 10, it was all him.
53:38Every single running back opportunity there, uh, ran more routes than Woody Marks did.
53:42Uh, in a game where Nico Collins is out, the Texans are massively incentivized to lean on the run as much as they possibly can.
53:51I think that that's pretty interesting to get David Montgomery, where we know the touchdown equity is amazing.
53:56He scored three last week. Uh, was a, well, one of the top running backs and expected fantasy points just because of that.
54:04Uh, yeah, he's, but again, there's like so many good 6k running backs is like where I hesitate a little bit.
54:10Um, you can also argue like maybe the Texans just never get inside the 10 yard line in this game.
54:17If you're, I'm, I'm a little worried about that certainly without Nico Collins, but he's one I would consider Chase Brown on the other side of that game.
54:26I think also makes sense just because Joe Burrow coming into the week banged up.
54:31Um, the Bengals could also just decide to lean on the run game a little bit more.
54:36Uh, Brown's workload was just as amazing as we expected it to be last week.
54:41Uh, the, the draft Kings points relative to every other running back going off on the slate weren't quite there, but it
54:48was pretty, a really strong workload for Brown also had everything high value.
54:52So all of these names are like kind of, yeah, it in consideration for me, but is there any one else you
54:59wanted to bring up or ask me about? There is one more name that I want to bring up, but first I
55:06just want to like, uh, you know, question the pushback a little bit on Brown or like get your thoughts on.
55:13So, so you, you brought up last week that Brown has been really good in games with Joe Burrow.
55:19Do you think Joe Burrow being injured? Like, do you think that might maybe affect things like just if the defense knows,
55:26and obviously it's a really strong defense with Houston anyway, but if Joe Burrow is coming in kind of banged up to
55:33the point where they're going to be leaning on the run, like, do you think that it's partially he does well in
55:40games with Joe Burrow because the other team can't focus on the run as much they have to worry about Burrow?
55:47Um, I don't know. I'm just kind of, I'm wondering if that same like benefit of playing with Joe Burrow applies if
55:54Joe Burrow is banged up and then we're like trying to think, well, maybe they'll run more because Joe Burrow's hurt.
56:01Um, can you, are we having our cake and eating it too by, by, you know, making that argument?
56:07Um, I'm just trying to trying to think through like whether, whether the injury to Joe Burrow might negatively impact Chase Brown
56:14because he hasn't been as good in games, uh, without a healthy Joe Burrow in the past.
56:20Um, maybe it doesn't matter at 6% ownership, just, uh, just trying to push back a little bit because, uh, he's not
56:27somebody that I love against Houston, but, uh, you're right.
56:30The workload should be pretty good. I honestly, I think that's fair in terms, at least in terms of like, there are
56:37so many running back, good running back plays. We need to like narrow these guys down.
56:42I think that's fair enough to say, I just think this game could be kind of gross.
56:48Uh, a lot of the appeal of Brown with Burrow is his receiving role in the red zone.
56:53A lot of that is like receiving touchdowns that he's really feasted on.
56:57So that could also be like, yeah, a similar concern if Burrow's not fully healthy.
57:02I think Burrow's probably like, will probably be fine.
57:05Um, I think in hindsight, if he doesn't play well this weekend, it will be something people talk about, but very easily
57:12Burrow could drop a big performance on all of our heads.
57:16Uh, he certainly has in the past. So yeah, I, that's, that's fair enough.
57:20Honestly, I, I would rank him behind, um, like Bucky Irving, for example, definitely.
57:25I think all of these guys are, are like worse than Bucky Irving that we've kind of been talking about the last 10 minutes.
57:33Okay. Okay. I have one more, more name to throw out there and it's, um, realizing that it's sort of a funny
57:40name for me to throw out there because you and I had a Twitter exchange this summer in which, uh, you were,
57:47you're kind of making an anti-Jonathan Brooks case. And I responded and said, I forget, I forget exactly what you said, but
57:54I responded and said, but Jonathan Brooks doesn't have anybody in front of him on the depth chart.
58:00I was very much pro Brooks all summer. And now I want to make the case for what about Chuba Hubbard?
58:06Cause he had, he had a pretty amazing workload, uh, in week one, uh, now a matchup with Atlanta, which Pittsburgh didn't
58:13really take advantage of it, but I think Atlanta might be a pretty beatable defense.
58:18And I think Chuba Hubbard's usage last week was like, didn't look as good as it actually was because they had like, it was a blowout.
58:26They had, uh, AJ Dylan running out the clock at the end, but Chuba Hubbard was getting all of the high value touches.
58:34He had, I believe three carries and one target inside the top, uh, inside the 10 yard line last week.
58:40So, uh, I, I'm becoming a Chuba bull for just this week.
58:44Um, do you have any interest, uh, in, in Chuba at, you know, 5,800, 7% ownership?
58:49Yeah, no, that's a great call out. I forgot about Chuba, but that that's a great one.
58:55Uh, I also, it's funny you bring up that Twitter exchange.
58:58Cause I, I did think I probably did think that about Jonathan Brooks.
59:02He ended up being in my redraft draft guide as a guy I was telling people to target.
59:08Uh, I had RJ Harvey ranked ahead of him earlier in August, uh, before all the injury movement had happened.
59:15But yeah, there is a guy in front of Jonathan Brooks, as you're saying, uh, and actually even beyond what you just
59:22said, uh, Hubbard had, I can't remember if he scored on the player, if it was just an, another play inside the 10, they got negated to penalty.
59:31So yeah, his workload was just excellent. He got everything in terms of high value touches, uh, ran way more routes than
59:38Jonathan Brooks was just being used in a three down bell cow role.
59:42Uh, yeah, I get like my only pushback would be how much do we actually like this game?
59:48Uh, the Panthers, I know were like a little bit more fun on offense last week in terms of, uh, attacking downfield, picking up the pace and everything.
59:57Uh, but everything we've seen from the Panthers has been like, they, they just don't want to run that many plays.
60:04They want to drag games out as much as possible.
60:07I think the Falcons will be happy to, uh, do the same thing.
60:11I just, yeah, I don't know. I just have play volume concerns for the, for that game, but I think Hubbard at
60:18the price and ownership does make sense for sure.
60:21Yeah. I guess to me, the, the play volume concerns, it's more of a concern for me with the passing game of the Panthers.
60:29Cause I feel like Dave Goodell, like he said in the past, like, I can't wait to prove how much we want to run it down their throat.
60:38I forget what the exact quote was, but it was a couple of years ago.
60:42Just, and like has kind of followed through that.
60:45He just loves running the ball. And I feel like this is like the game to run the ball against this Atlanta,
60:52you know, Cooper Cooper rush led offense. They're not gonna be able to score.
60:57So I would think the Panthers is going to run the ball a ton in this game and it could be, you
61:04know, I mean, Chuba only ended up with 13 touches last week, but I think in the right game script, seeing what
61:11we saw, he could have 25 in a game if things go right.
61:15And I wouldn't be that surprised to see it in this matchup with Atlanta, but yeah, it just comes down to like
61:22the, the relative ownership and price tag of Chuba.
61:25I think he's a better play than, than the ownership would suggest, uh, not like an absolute smash, but like a, a
61:32player that I'm going to be at least double the field.
61:36If he does come in at 7%, um, any other running backs you want to talk about?
61:41I think I'm good, Neil on running backs. All right.
61:44Uh, should we take a brief look at the data suite 2.0?
61:48Cause we, we have not, we, we've been featuring it on the show.
61:52We've shown the data suite, uh, time and time again, we're, we're using it constantly.
61:57And, and frankly, in my own research, I mean, it's so fast and easy to use at this point that I just,
62:04I'm in love with, with the data suite 2.0 at this point.
62:08Um, but I believe you had, uh, some specific things that we could look at and I should remind people, you can
62:15see it on the screen just below me. If you want to check out the data suite or anything else at fantasy points, use promo code DFS.
62:24You can get 10% off any product at fantasy points.
62:27Um, highly recommend the data suite. If you enjoy digging into data as much as, uh, the nerd above me does.
62:34Um, actually I, I, I'm, I'm with you. I also really love digging into this data, especially now that it is so easy to use.
62:42Um, Ryan, what, what, what do you want to show us with a data suite 2.0?
62:47Yeah. I just want to say like, I'm completely addicted to this tool.
62:51It has made my job so much easier, uh, in, in terms of just researching players, looking through usage, uh, we'll, we'll
62:58probably show off some different tools from data suite 2.0 on the show throughout the season.
63:03But, uh, this one just, this is the game splits tool.
63:07Uh, you can find it here under tools, come down to game splits.
63:11And this just lets you do the player with, or without another player splits extremely easily.
63:16Uh, one that I had pulled for my content this week was a Dallas Goddard related split.
63:22So you can just pick the team. You can pick any timeframe, uh, includes playoffs, any weeks that you want to go through.
63:29Uh, you can split on coaching. You can split on the starting quarterback, which is super easy.
63:35Uh, here I'm just going games, uh, where AJ Brown played one, one or more snaps.
63:40So where he was active for the Eagles. Uh, and if we hit analyze here, it comes up so freaking quickly.
63:46It's crazy. I actually had this in PPR, but you can change this to draft Kings.
63:52You can change this to fan duel. You can change it to tight end premium, half PPR, whatever you want.
63:58And just quickly rerun it there. Uh, yeah. 16 draft Kings fantasy points per game for Dallas Goddard since the start of
64:052023, uh, without AJ Brown, uh, there's like a full game log down here that you can scroll to as well and
64:12see like how he got there and what the exact stats were here.
64:16Uh, and you can split game by game on any player.
64:20So like if we wanted to compare, uh, this, so again, 16.2 DK points per game for Goddard without AJ Brown, uh,
64:27let's compare it to Devante Smith, uh, is like a natural comparison to go with there.
64:32I think, uh, for Devante, uh, without AJ Brown, 15.4 DK points per game, fewer than Dallas Goddard, uh, which was just
64:39kind of a surprising, uh, fun little split right there.
64:42And you can do the same thing. Look at his games with, and without him.
64:47Uh, yeah, just so many stats and ways to like break this down.
64:51And, and this is just one tool guys in data suite 2.0.
64:55Like if I scroll through everything here and just show off all of the tools, uh, we've got the coverage matrix, uh,
65:02which is what I use to do my schematic matchups analysis for advanced matchups.
65:07Uh, also new this year is the, let's see, which one is it in?
65:11I should know this by heart by now. Probably.
65:14Uh, I know where it is. I go to this tool all the damn time.
65:19Um, there's just so many options. You know, there's so many it's, it's insane.
65:24Um, here's what I'll do. I'll just go to the homepage and look for it.
65:28Uh, it's, it's a splits tool where we can look at the player splits comparison.
65:33That's what I was looking for. Uh, I don't, and yeah, it's, you can sort of see this on the screen, but
65:40in this tool, uh, you are able to just look at the on off splits for man coverage zone, single high too
65:47high, uh, at any position, uh, with any stats.
65:50So you can look at yards per outrun targets per outrun.
65:54Uh, I have it set up and this goes for any tool in data suite 2.0.
65:59We have views here. So if I do this, I saved this from earlier and it will take a minute, but it
66:06will just pull up exactly how I had set up this table the last time I used it.
66:12Uh, and it will just show us wide receivers and tight ends with my route minimum, uh, against man coverage here.
66:18And yeah, you can see, uh, we can sort by whatever, uh, yards per outrun against man.
66:24I have it over the last 10 games. You can go into seasons and just go multiple seasons.
66:30If you want 2025 to 2026. Uh, and you get like, yeah, Jackson Smith and Jigba, uh, 5% more efficient by yards
66:37per outrun against man coverage over this split playing the Cardinals who don't play much of it.
66:42Right. And this is how I do so much of my advanced matchups content.
66:47It's made it so much easier. So yeah, uh, anybody that's interested in all of the stuff the data suite has to
66:54offer of which there is a ton, just highly, highly recommend go to fantasy points.com use promo code DFS for 10% off.
67:01Uh, it, it will legitimately change your life, uh, just because of the amount of time you'll want to spend digging into the numbers if you enjoy that.
67:10Uh, so yeah, we can, we can move on, um, to the wide receiver position, but just wanted to show that off for everybody.
67:18No, that was, that was really cool. And I, as somebody who spent like all day today, I've been in, in the
67:25data suite has basically been all because I've been researching the slate all day and you're still showing me stuff that I'm like, Oh yeah.
67:33Like I know that I saw that you can do that somewhere, but I don't, didn't remember exactly how to do the
67:40on off splits for one player with another. I, it's funny cause I had actually been asked by a friend of mine
67:47how to do that in the data suite. And I was like, I know there's a better way to do it.
67:54I wasn't at my computer at the time. I was like, but I, I usually just like look up, you know, using
68:01one of like the, uh, weekly view tools, like when was this player out?
68:05And then I just do it manually. And so he ended up doing that, but do that.
68:11But I was like, I'm pretty sure there is a better way to do it.
68:15And yeah, the way you just showed super simple.
68:18Um, yeah, it's, it's kind of never ending the things you can do it.
68:23I can't tell you how many times in the past couple of days I've been like thinking about something that I want to look at.
68:31And, um, I don't know how to do that, but I'm like, I bet you can do this in data suite 2.0
68:38and then you figure it out pretty, pretty intuitively.
68:41Most of the time it's pretty quick. Uh, very cool.
68:44All right, let's move on to wide receivers at the top.
68:48I mean, we had the, the chalky Dak Prescott, not that surprising to see that the two chalkiest receivers on the slate are his wide receivers.
68:56CD lamb coming in at 20% ownership, George Pickens at 17.
68:59And then below them, you've got a lot of spend ups at the top.
69:04Jamar chase 16% projected ownership against Houston. That seems surprising to me.
69:08I thought, I thought Jamar chase was going to be contrarian on this slate.
69:12And then, uh, Justin Jefferson less surprising because we want to play those, uh, Viking stacks.
69:17So looking at these, these top four to start Ryan, uh, what is your level of interest and anybody that you're planning
69:24on being above the field of this, uh, top four or anybody that's a big page for you?
69:30I think all of them are reasonable plays, uh, CD and Pickens price down relative to where they would have been last year.
69:38Jamar chase. I think that's the big reason for a lot of the ownership is yeah.
69:43Jamar chase. It's 7,600 under eight K is like really hard to argue against.
69:47Uh, so I won't try to do it that hard.
69:51Um, with CD and Pickens specifically, I just think that the double that the Dak CD Pickens double is going to be extremely, extremely chalky.
69:59So that's like something you want to play around.
70:01If you are building there, um, I CD was the role was great.
70:06Uh, top 12 among all position players in XFP per team play in week one, uh, top 10 among wide receivers and
70:13overall XFP with 18.2, which is pretty good in such an insane week one slate.
70:17So I, I think he's fine. Uh, same with George Pickens.
70:21Like it Pickens is one where it's like, I wish we were getting a discount from, or like, uh, I don't know.
70:28He's like the most obvious bounce back candidate of any wide receiver this week where it's like, yeah, he lost 51 air
70:35yards due to drops in week one, which is more than that than happened over the entirety of 2025 for him.
70:42Uh, he's, he was negative five points below expectation, uh, below his XFP, which is like the worst mark he's ever had with the Cowboys.
70:50So I, I do think like, yeah, the, the bounce backs probably coming.
70:54These are good plays, but yeah, they're, they're the chalkiest guys at the top.
70:59And I, I don't have like, I don't have interest in like going over on any of them.
71:04Uh, Jefferson, we talked about earlier with Carson Wentz.
71:07I just think that stack specifically is really strong.
71:10Uh, Jefferson on the deep ball is really strong against the bears.
71:14That's a matchup I had highlighted in advanced matchup.
71:17So if I'm going over on anyone, it's probably him.
71:20Uh, but it's, yeah, I don't know. There, there's like a lot of really good wide receiver plays further down the board
71:27this week that I don't think you have to like stick to all of the chalk.
71:32I want to move just, just down, uh, one, one player down from this list is, uh, JSN is coming in at 13% ownership.
71:40I just want to throw out the stat. He had 11 first read targets last week, 61% first read target share for JSN.
71:47Um, how, how much interest do you have now that we have, uh, drew lock in as the quarterback seemed to work out.
71:55Like he, he seemed like he didn't miss a beat last week.
71:59What's your level of concern on JSN or, you know, relative to this 13% ownership at 8,100?
72:04Are you willing to eat the chop there? Are you too concerned about the, uh, the drew lock experience?
72:10It's another one where I, I wish we were getting more of like an ownership discount, but I, and maybe we ultimately
72:17will, uh, we'll see ownership can change a lot between when we record this and Sunday morning, of course.
72:23Uh, but I think he's a really good play kind of regardless of that.
72:28Um, it's an amazing schematic matchup for JSN where the Cardinals have been one of the most cover four heavy teams in
72:35the NFL dating back to the start of last season.
72:38Uh, it was a, we had highlighted last week that they retained the same defensive coordinator, a lot of the same personnel.
72:45Uh, they continued to be cover four heavy in week one.
72:49JSN averages six yards per out run against cover four, uh, dating back to last year, which is just absolutely bonkers.
72:56Uh, I've been targeted on 48% of his routes against it.
72:59And you bring up drew lock and that you're right to, because schematic matchups often are very influenced by quarterbacks and by
73:06the tendencies that like their tendencies, what they prefer to do and how they prefer to attack certain coverages with different receivers.
73:13A lot of the time it's like a quarterback split in disguise.
73:17Uh, but at the very least drew lock has been very good against cover four.
73:22Uh, going back to 2023, he would have ranked second among all quarterbacks in fantasy points per drop back against that shell.
73:29It's easily his most efficient shell throws it deep 13% of the time, which would be a top seven mark, uh, against cover four.
73:37So I do think that, and also up just, yeah, straight up based on what we saw for, from JSN for most of that week one game.
73:45I don't think that he's going to skip a beat.
73:49I think he can just do it again, basically is where I'm at on him.
73:53Uh, and the other angle is it, if we're super galaxy braining this, uh, maybe drew lock is actually good for JSN because it keeps the spread closer.
74:02It'll keep the game closer. And the biggest thing with JSN last year was he was amazing in any sort of competitive
74:09game and games that were decided by a score or less 27.4 draft Kings points per game.
74:15Uh, in games that were decided, that were decided by more than one score or that the Seahawks won by more than
74:22one score down to 16.8 draft Kings points per game.
74:25I think first half versus second half splits were like very wide for JSN last year for the same reason that a
74:32lot of the time that Seahawks just didn't need to throw for the second half of games.
74:38Uh, it's a three point spread, I believe, or somewhere around that.
74:42I think that's like the most compelling JSN argument to me is maybe being underrated by the field a little bit, uh,
74:49for a player that can nuke a slate as much as he's shown because of drew lock.
74:54But just because of those factors, I think they could actually play in his favor.
74:59I think he's quite a really strong play. Yep.
75:02Love, love that. Um, so we're, we're eating some of the chalkboard, not going too overboard for the most part with the top of the chalkboard.
75:10Um, am I correct in my assumption that in your Trevor Lawrence tax, you're going to be playing a lot of Parker
75:17Washington again, cause that looked pretty good last week.
75:20The, uh, the Parker Washington, I know you were a Washington guy this summer, uh, and last week and yeah, looking like
75:27we're, we're going to continue with the P wash train.
75:30Are you going there this week? I 100% am.
75:33Uh, Parker Washington is going to be in every single one of my Trevor Lawrence lineups.
75:38I'm probably going to have some naked Parker Washington as well.
75:42I, he, he's just a baller. He just continues to like to, to score fantasy points.
75:47And I don't know, we just continue to not project him up around the industry.
75:52And I don't really get why, uh, it's a amazing schematic matchup for him, uh, in two ways.
75:58One, we expect Pat Sertan to shadow Ryan Thomas jr is what we're projecting at fantasy points right now.
76:04Uh, Sertan, one of the few corners in the league that I think is worth like legitimately adjusting a projection and your
76:11expectations of an offense because of, uh, Parker going to stay away from him.
76:15Uh, certainly whenever he's in the slot and probably on most of his routes, uh, and the Broncos very man coverage, heavy defense.
76:23It's been Parker Washington that, uh, Lawrence has succeeded so much with as a man beater, uh, averaging almost three yards per
76:30out run against man, easily leading the team. Uh, he, yeah, he's just a, he's a great play to me, uh, in,
76:37in basically like one half of football because Lawrence only dropped back three times in the second half, uh, on non screens.
76:44Uh, yeah, Washington just, what, what was it? It was over, uh, let's see.
76:48Duh, duh, duh, duh, duh. Uh, I gotta, I gotta have these up 19.3 DK fantasy points in basically one half of
76:56play 20 expected fantasy points, a top six mark at the position.
76:59Uh, yeah, just why are we, why are we not pricing up Parker Washington and playing a ton of Parker Washington?
77:06He just won't stop. At some point, the price is going to move up.
77:11Like it just, it just has to with how good he's been for a pretty big stretch of time at this point.
77:18Yeah. Seems, seems like a strong play. Uh, you mentioned, I mean, you have interest in Caleb Williams this week and I
77:25know last week it was all on the ground.
77:28He put up 37 fantasy points with those two rushing touchdowns, 65 yards, but I don't think that we're making the assumption
77:35that it's going to be Caleb on the ground is how he's going to score most of his points every week.
77:42Are you, are you, uh, projecting or predicting, hoping for a bounce back from either of Luther Burden or Romo Dunze?
77:48Are you thinking that they're going to be going back to a Khalif Raymond as much as they did last week?
77:55How, how are you stacking up? Are you, are you playing a good amount of any of these bears, uh, wide receivers?
78:02Yeah. I mean, that's a tricky thing with Caleb is just how do you stack him?
78:07And I think it's the same dilemma. Um, I don't know that I'm going to play, uh, bears wide receivers naked or without Caleb.
78:15Um, just because I, there's like so much uncertainty there.
78:18There's so many good wide receiver plays to talk through it a little bit.
78:23Uh, a dunze is interesting just because yeah, you can see Trey has it on the screen down at a 49% snap share last week, 55% route share.
78:32Uh, he had entered the week on the injury report.
78:35He's been off the injury report, uh, all of week two.
78:38So I, I expect his role to scale up.
78:41That's probably mostly coming out of, uh, Jada Walker, uh, and probably Kaylee Framond.
78:46And some, uh, so he, it's like interesting. I don't, we just, I don't want to play Roma dunze until we actually
78:53see him back in a full-time role. Uh, it's, he was awesome for the first six weeks of 2025, uh, before his foot injury.
79:01Um, but since then it's just kind of been either not a full-time role or not effective in it.
79:07So I, I'm probably good on a dunze. I would take the shot on burden.
79:11Uh, just had this 68.4% route participation rate. You see it is a career high for him.
79:17Uh, maintained 2.4 yards per outrun on that higher route share.
79:20So that that's at least intriguing to me. Like, yeah, the, the touchdowns weren't there.
79:25Uh, I think arguably the usage could have been even better if he hadn't fumbled a screen on the first drive.
79:32Um, so yeah, I, I'm like willing to bet on the Luther burden.
79:36And bounce back. I think if I'm playing Caleb, uh, I think I like Colson Loveland more than either of the bears
79:43wide receivers in terms of Caleb Williams stacking partners.
79:46He's, uh, cheaper. He's down at 5k. Um, we talked about it last week, but he's really been leading this team in usage.
79:54Um, like since they kind of changed their offense at the end of last season, I think he's like my favorite bears pass catcher.
80:01Um, we can get to him a little bit more with the tight ends maybe, but yeah, that's so not, not like
80:08super strong feelings on, on any bears receivers this week.
80:12But I, I think, yeah, you want to play at least one of them with Caleb, I think.
80:17Yeah. I think that that is a same page there and yeah, Colson Loveland.
80:22We'll talk about once we get to the tight ends, I will say for Luther burden, he did have five first read
80:29targets last week, which was, which did trail Calif Raymond who had six, but, uh, you know, that's promising sign for, for Luther burden.
80:37I did not realize that he never got above a 68% route participation last year.
80:41That's kind of nuts, uh, given how good he was at the end of the year.
80:47Um, yeah. So, uh, for me, it would be Luther burden if I'm playing one, but yeah, uh, we'll, we'll get to Colston Loveland.
80:54Um, as far as, I mean, just thinking through some of the quarterbacks that you liked, you also liked Lamar Jackson and
81:01we're, we're anticipating that Zay flowers is going to be out.
81:05Are you going to be stacking Lamar with Rashad Bateman or any other receiver on the Ravens?
81:10I will not be playing Rashad Bateman. Um, I will be playing Mark Andrews as we can get to later with the
81:17tight ends or we, or we can talk about it now.
81:21However, however you want to, let's wait, let's wait till we get to a two tight ends.
81:26Just, just wanted to see if you had interest in Rashad Bateman, uh, since we're playing some Lamar Jackson.
81:33Um, all right, let's, let me, let me open up to you.
81:36Do you, do you have any other wide receivers that you are really enthusiastic about, um, that you need to talk about?
81:43Yeah, there's so many. Um, Trey, why don't you sort us by salary and just show me like 6k through 66k basically.
81:51And kind of, yeah. So I think this is like an absolutely loaded range this week.
81:56There are so many players I could make a case for.
81:59Um, I'll, I'll start with Garrett Wilson, I guess.
82:02He is only 6k. He has a really strong, uh, schematic matchup where we have seen, uh, the Packers shift very cover
82:09for heavy with their new defensive coordinator, Jonathan Gannon, who was with the Cardinals very cover for heavy.
82:15Same with when he was with the Eagles. Uh, that's like what I expect from, uh, sorry.
82:20Did I say the Titans at some point? The Packers Titans.
82:24I I'm all out of sorts, uh, right now, but yes, uh, the Packers are going to be cover for heavy.
82:31Garrett Wilson, uh, top three in targets per out run against cover for over the last three years behind only Drake London and JSN.
82:38Uh, I think this is interesting mostly because I think the Packers could be a horrific defense that we're targeting every single week.
82:46If we fast forward to like week six, uh, they are bottom five and EPA per drop back allowed on plays without
82:53Micah Parsons on the field going back to last year.
82:56Um, they were bottom 10 in pressure rate generated in week one.
83:00And that's like a really big note for Geno Smith, who's the most pressure sensitive quarterback in the NFL in terms of catchable throw rate, accurate throw rate.
83:09It really matters that Geno's not being pressured for supporting his receiving weapons.
83:13And that's what I expect this week is that he will have time and be able to do that for Wilson.
83:20And you get to play Wilson at 6k, uh, coming off of a week when he ranked top five and first read
83:27target chair, which is nothing new for him. The role's always been amazing with Garrett Wilson.
83:32Um, but he was, he had that role was like top 10 in XFP among wide receivers, despite the jets leading the entirety of week one.
83:40I don't think that's going to be the same thing against the Packers this week should be a much closer game as a much closer spread.
83:49Uh, if this game environment kind of shoots out, I can see Garrett Wilson posting like a really strong score.
83:55Um, the jets offense was like a pleasant surprise to me in week one in terms of like the play calling cheat codes.
84:03They were using a lot more play action. Uh, they were running from under center a lot.
84:08These are, uh, things I have written about all summer in terms of ways that play callers in the NFL can juice the efficiency of their passing games.
84:17Uh, I didn't really expect it from Frank Reich if I'm going to be honest, but Hey, potentially he's like turned over a new leaf here.
84:25Uh, so I, yeah, I think Wilson is one of the more intriguing wide receiver plays.
84:31Um, but yeah, again, there's a lot, there's a lot of 6k guys.
84:35I like, I think the, the mini stack with Wilson plus Christian Watson is really fun.
84:40Uh, or even Matthew golden. If you want to go cheaper.
84:43Um, but yeah, those are some, um, I don't know.
84:47Am I still saying names? Are you asking me names?
84:50What are we doing here now, Neil? Uh, if you have more names that you want to throw out there, um, go right ahead.
84:57I'll, I'll see if I have, I mean, DK Metcalf is a name that I'm like, sort of, I go back and
85:05forth on the extent to which I want to play DK Metcalf.
85:08But yeah, it seems like it could be a strong spot for him.
85:13Um, is he one that you have interest in?
85:15It sounds like you don't want to, but you might be forced to play some DK Metcalf.
85:21That's about where I am. I would say. Yeah.
85:24Um, we saw the sealers come out insanely pass heavy in week one, uh, top two in pass rate over expectation.
85:31Uh, that's not super surprising in terms of Mike McCarthy's history and Aaron Rogers history, uh, with Mike McCarthy.
85:37I think maybe people were mostly surprised because they were used to the Arthur Smith version of the Steelers.
85:43Uh, so yeah, the pass volume was very good.
85:46I guess like my concern, I have two concerns.
85:49Uh, one is that DK Metcalf has, has literally never been a good play, uh, or sorry, has, has never delivered, uh,
85:56in any of the weeks that he's ever been like a strong point per dollar play, which he very much is.
86:02Uh, I had really consolidated targets last week. Uh, the, the role looks great.
86:07He was getting like, yeah, I, I don't know.
86:10I'm, I'm just like out of ways to argue against DK Metcalf other than he has literally always let us down anytime.
86:17He's been a well projecting play. Um, and I, I guess number two, more, more like from a actual football analysis to give you some actual analysis.
86:26That's not me complaining about DK Metcalf. Uh, I do wonder if the Steelers are going to be pass heavy for a
86:33second week in a row, uh, after the offense didn't work that well in week one with, with them being so absurdly pass heavy.
86:40Uh, like I, I think this is another spot in week one where it's like, we have one week of data ever,
86:47everyone's really like locked in on this and thinks it's really important and impactful.
86:52But I, I, next to the Falcons, uh, and I guess the Broncos, uh, the Steelers had one, just one of the
86:59worst offensive performances in terms of efficiency, uh, yards per play, all of those stats in week one.
87:05I, maybe they decide to go a little bit more run heavy, uh, Michael Pittman out as well.
87:11They could like go more 12 personnel feature, the tight ends.
87:14Like I, I don't know. I'm not like sold on.
87:17You have to play Metcalf. Uh, I think Jalen Coker is just as interesting basically as he is and a hundred dollars cheaper.
87:25Um, yeah, yeah. I don't know if you have Coker thoughts.
87:28Yeah. I mean, it's tough because he just went off.
87:31So then you, you assume that maybe the ownership is going to get out of hand, but what do we actually have?
87:38Uh, Jalen Coker's ownership at 8%. Um, this is something that I had, I had looked at the, the split for Coker
87:46versus Tedderoa McMillan and their last six games. So they're, they're both getting 8% ownership.
87:50Tedderoa McMillan is 6,100. Coker is 5,100. Um, I don't remember exactly what the split is, but it's something like over their
87:57last six games, 15.7 fantasy points per game for Coker and like 9.96 or something for, for Tedderoa McMillan.
88:04Something ridiculous like that, where Coker is just, just mogging him.
88:07Um, you, do you think that's going to continue?
88:10Are you, are you a Coke head Ryan? I, I am.
88:13Yeah. Consider me a Coke head. Uh, I think it could continue.
88:17Yeah. I have the split in front of me over their last six games together.
88:22Uh, Coker and McMillan have the same number of targets.
88:25Uh, Coker averages more receiving yards per game, 63 to 51 more draft Kings points per game, 16 to 9.9.
88:32Um, I'm reminded of all of those awful saints teams where it was Chris Olave and Rashid Shahid as like the former
88:39round one pick and the undrafted free agent that is just perennially, perennially underrated.
88:43Uh, always like coming kind of close in terms of efficiency or overall output to the higher drafted player.
88:49And he's just always priced cheaper in DFS. Uh, I wasn't people.
88:53I can't remember which shows I did and didn't say this on last week, but I wasn't as convinced on Coker last
89:00week, just because the downfield role wasn't there as much, uh, throughout 2025.
89:05That certainly changed last week. He caught a deep touchdown.
89:08Uh, yeah, I don't know. I, I mentioned, I think I have like game environment concerns, play volume concerns in this game,
89:15but I think in the 5k range, uh, yeah.
89:18Coker grosses me out less than DK Metcalf grosses me out is, is how I would put this.
89:24Uh, it's a strong schematic matchup as well. Uh, Falcons play a lot of single high, a lot of cover for, uh,
89:31those are some of the better shells for Jalen Coker.
89:34So, so he's pretty, he's pretty good to me.
89:37I think I'll have, I will have more Coker than Metcalf or at least I'll feel better about any Coker I have than any Metcalf I have.
89:45All right. Strong, strong endorsement for, for Jalen Coker being less gross than DK Metcalf.
89:50Yeah. And I think that the price tag is, is pretty nice there.
89:54Um, I do have, so teams that I want to ask you about.
89:59So you, we talked about, you brought up Bo Nix as somebody that might be interesting.
90:04Do you know who you're stacking Bo Nix with?
90:07Is it just Jalen Waddle? Do you have interest in, in Pat Bryant?
90:11Um, what are you thinking about, uh, potential stacking partners if you do play some Bo Nix?
90:16It would probably, and to be clear that the Bo Nix discussion was very hypothetical for me.
90:22I don't know that I'm playing Bo Nix. Uh, it would probably just be Waddle for me.
90:27Um, you, you mentioned that, uh, yeah, Sean Payton told his wife, uh, to draft Jalen Waddle in fantasy.
90:33Uh, that I, I would never wish, wish ill on anybody else's marriage, but man, that, that one's gotta have been rough, uh, after week one.
90:42Yeah. I don't know. I, I think Waddle's just tough because at, as I mentioned, there's so many 6k wide receivers.
90:48I like Waddle is kind of priced toward the higher end of that.
90:53I think just like Garrett Wilson is just a better play.
90:56I think Christian Watson's just a better play. Uh, I think like Lad McConkie, if he plays is probably just a better play.
91:03Uh, there's other guys, Mike Evans, I think is a better play than Jalen Waddle.
91:08So it's tough. That's probably, I guess if I were playing Nix, that's where I'd go.
91:13Uh, Brian is fine. Yeah. Led the, led the team in target share last week.
91:18Uh, that's another one though, where it's like, are the Broncos coming out of week one happy about how their offense performed
91:25and saying, we're going to want to like replicate this.
91:28Where Pat Bryant is leading the team in targets.
91:31I think Bryant's a good player to be clear.
91:34I think he probably overtakes Cortland Sutton eventually this season.
91:37And just in terms of overall playing time involvement in the offense.
91:41Um, but yeah, I, my guess would be if the Broncos are pivoting and making an adjustment, it's, oh, we're really making
91:48sure that Jalen Waddle gets the ball in his hands this week.
91:52Uh, so that's where, that's how I would play it.
91:55Yeah. Yeah. Brian is such a tough one for me because he's one of the players that I am most cheering for
92:03this year, just based on my bags. I drafted a ton, uh, in, in best ball, want him to surpass Cortland Sutton
92:10and like such a mixed bag from week one.
92:13I mean, like you said, led the team in target share led team five first read targets for Pat Bryant.
92:19I don't think anybody expected that week one for, for Pat Bryant to lead the team in first read target shares, but
92:26he also had two kind of important, um, offensive holding calls.
92:30And then I forget what the other, I think just, oh, a bad drop.
92:34He also, he had a bad drop that was on a third down.
92:38I believe that would have probably been a first down.
92:41Uh, and then in the fourth quarter when they really needed to, to make something happen, they had him off the field
92:48for, for, uh, big chunks of it. So yeah, some, some concern that Pat Bryant, like, you know, they, they wanted to
92:56see what they had in him and he did not have a great first showing in that game.
93:01Um, so yeah, not sure what to make of that, but then, uh, another, another team that again, I have interest in play.
93:09And so you haven't even expressed a ton of interest in playing this, but if you do play some Drake, man, I
93:16think you mentioned that you have interest in one receiver on the Patriots.
93:20So who would be your choice, uh, of receiver on the Patriots?
93:24I'll tell you, uh, first I'm just realizing though, now that we're talking about the Patriots, I totally forgot to bring up
93:31Ramondre Stevenson in the running back section. I think he's a really fun play.
93:35Uh, I, I just don't buy at all that Travion Henderson is going to be that involved.
93:41Uh, Stevenson was a massive bell cow in week one.
93:44The efficiency sucked. Everyone got to make fun of him for, uh, looking slow against one of the best run defenses in the league last week.
93:52But the workload was amazing. Uh, Stevenson, uh, has his price too cheap for his output, uh, in games.
93:59The Patriots have won even with Travion. So he's one I would consider, uh, may I, and I mean, with the receiving
94:06role, maybe he's even fine to play with Drake may that might be a little thin.
94:11Um, but the receiver, I would play with Drake may, uh, or that I'm just interested in as a punt option in general.
94:18Uh, pop Douglas, he's 3,800. Uh, oh, it came down to 3% projected ownership.
94:23I had him at 5% earlier. So even better, uh, relative to what I was talking about on caching points.
94:29Um, but he just was the most involved receiver, uh, in terms of route participation, uh, went up to 81% in the second half without AJ Brown.
94:38Uh, he had five of his seven targets come against cover three, uh, that the Seahawks were playing.
94:44The Steelers, uh, play a ton of cover three.
94:46Uh, their defensive coordinator came over from the Raiders last year.
94:50He was leading the NFL in cover three usage the entire season.
94:54Uh, they did the same exact thing in week one.
94:57So, yeah, five of Douglas's seven targets came against cover three last week.
95:01He was targeted on 40% of his routes against it, uh, four more against cover three than anyone else on the team.
95:08Uh, even if you always want to widen the sample, he has a 15% boost to his targets per run against that
95:15shell, uh, going back to last season. So I think Douglas would be my choice here.
95:20Um, I think you, you can maybe argue like the upside, but I don't know that you need that much of like
95:28a downfield role, uh, for a third. $3,800 receiver, especially if you're playing him with Drake may, or even if you're playing
95:35him as a punt, I, he can easily get there, uh, just with strong usage and a touchdown.
95:40Uh, he, I don't know. I I'm, I'm a scorned Patriots fan.
95:44I probably should have brought that up earlier when you, yeah.
95:48When you were talking about Drake may, I have like a negative bias against all Patriots in terms of fantasy football.
95:55Uh, I try very hard not to let my fandom or my bias come into my analysis, but with the Patriots, I
96:02think I'm often more pessimistic than, uh, I should be.
96:05And I I'm very pessimistic in terms of, I can't believe that this team got rid of Kayshawn Booty for absolutely nothing.
96:12Uh, just for AJ Brown to immediately get injured.
96:15Like why so ridiculous that you as an NFL football team are like, we have too many good receivers.
96:21We have too many good role players. Like that's so insane to me.
96:25Um, but yeah, so we're stuck with pop Douglas, but I think the team very much wants to make this a thing and like prove themselves right.
96:34In terms of that evaluation that, uh, we're going out and acquiring AJ Brown so that he can just post up on the outside.
96:41So pop Douglas can be featured in the slot.
96:44Uh, I think that's like where the team is at right now.
96:48So that's where I would go in DFS for week two.
96:52Yeah, no, I, I like the pop Douglas shout.
96:55He is, I had all, all three of the, um, remaining receivers as like, I think pretty good.
97:00Uh, not wouldn't make my 20, like if I just played 20 lineups, they probably wouldn't make my feel, but I think
97:07all of pop Douglas, Matt Collins and Romeo Dobbs probably do make that list.
97:12But I do think pop is, is probably the best of that group.
97:16Six first three targets last week for pop Douglas.
97:19Um, yeah, that, that was, uh, I had some hope that he was going to be like a step into that slot role.
97:26Obviously that came to fruition. He had, I believe five catches for a total of 20 yards.
97:32So like didn't really, uh, produce in the way we want him to, but I think the upside is, is obviously higher than that.
97:40Um, and then that kind of shows you the, I wouldn't call it the floor, but like the, the likely floor of, of, uh, pop Douglas.
97:48So I, I do like that shout. Um, Matt Collins is, you know, I think that they traded Keishon booty because they,
97:55they just want an excuse to play Matt Collins.
97:58Just, I think teams that have Matt Collins just love him.
98:01And I, or I think that the Patriots at least seem to really love Matt Collins.
98:07It's funny because you look at the splits quarter to quarter.
98:10It was, he ran one, one route in the, each of the first two quarters of the game.
98:16And then the second half, uh, with, with AJ Brown out, we had, uh, Matt Collins stepped up and ran five routes in the third quarter.
98:24And then 14 in the fourth quarter, they just seem to seem to pick up steam.
98:29Seems like the team loves him. Drake may love him.
98:33So I think that he's like, he's one that nobody's going to want to play, but like, you just look at the
98:40game log of, of, uh, Matt Collins and he just has too many good games for me to really say like, oh yeah, you can't go there.
98:48He just like, he keeps proving me wrong when I don't want to play Matt Collins.
98:53He feels so boring and then keeps putting up, you know, 15, 16 fantasy point games.
98:59Um, but then I do think like Romeo Dobbs is, uh, intriguing from the just bounce back perspective.
99:04Like he really, really bad game last week. We had, uh, three targets.
99:09I believe two of them, uh, fantasy points charted as being catchable targets.
99:13One of them, an actual drop for Romeo Dobbs didn't have the role that we thought he was going to have, or
99:20at least I thought he was going to have 69% route participation, three targets.
99:24You see it on the screen. Um, so really poor, poor game, both for the way he played and also for the
99:31way he was used, uh, being a lot less than expected, but now AJ Brown is out.
99:37I kind of think, uh, we, we probably see, we continue to see Dobbs and, um, nobody's going to, going to want
99:44to play him after the just totally terrible game last week.
99:47So, so for a large field tournament, I don't hate the idea of playing just a little bit of Romeo Dobbs, probably only in Drake may stacks.
99:56Um, but I think he's at least, at least viable in those.
100:00Um, all right, let's, let's move on. Did you have you, have you thought of any other receivers that you are particularly
100:07interested in that we have not yet talked about?
100:10Uh, or if you want me to, I can try to find some other names to throw at you.
100:16Uh, I don't have anyone else that I think we like have to talk about.
100:21There's other guys I like if you want to throw names at me, but we, we can move on.
100:27We can do whatever you want here. Uh, if you want more wide receivers, uh, go, go read slate breakdown.
100:33Uh, Jake trivia and Graham Barfield are writing up a ton of them.
100:38Go listen to Sunday morning update with, uh, Scott Barrett and Johnny Proctor as well.
100:42Uh, with your fantasy point subscription, you can get in our discord and listen to that show.
100:48Uh, extremely valuable content. So yeah, I think that's whatever you want to do, Neil.
100:53Yeah, no, I think we can move on. Cause I think we have, we've talked about all of the receivers that I
101:00am like really trying to play a lot of, I guess, uh, one more, just, uh, a meat gag book.
101:06I want to throw out there. Um, although I started digging into it, he did not have as good of a role
101:13as I seem to remember as I was rooting for Chris Godwin last week.
101:18It felt like they were just peppering a meat gag book.
101:21Um, and then, uh, looking at the data suite was not quite the same role that I thought, but, uh, we, we
101:28talked about how this might be a sneaky good matchup against Cleveland.
101:32Um, I do think that a book is probably my favorite to play for Tampa.
101:37Um, but do you have any, he's kind of expensive, but I don't know, six targets, 81% route participation.
101:43Uh, would, would he be your stacking partner? Or if you do go to some, uh, some Baker Mayfield five first retargete last week.
101:51Yeah, he would be. Um, I, I mentioned earlier, I like the Buccaneers from like a team regression standpoint.
101:57Um, a booker was the player being targeted when the Buccaneers were using motion at the snap.
102:02So, uh, this was like my big case on Chris Godwin coming into the season was Zach Robinson's their new offensive coordinator.
102:09He is the king of getting his players into motion at the snap.
102:14That was like the Drake London and Bijan Robinson receiving cheat code last year was they would just be in motion at the snap.
102:21It would free them up, uh, just to get the ball in, in the hands of his best playmakers.
102:27Uh, and I thought Chris Godwin could be used like that because he was back in 2024, uh, in sort of a similar style of offense.
102:36Uh, but it was a Bucca in week one.
102:39He had six targets, uh, just on those plays.
102:42Only one target with motion at the snap for Chris Godwin.
102:45So I, I do think if there's, uh, like a Buccaneers offensive blow up this week, it's probably via Mecca Bucca.
102:52Um, I, I like him. I, I think I'm probably more inclined to play him as a one-off, but then again, there's so many 6k range receivers.
103:01I like that. How much will I actually get to is questionable.
103:04Um, but yeah, he's awesome. Uh, I think I mentioned Mike Evans, his name earlier.
103:09He, he's an amazing play to me as well.
103:12Uh, for similar reasons to Brock Purdy. Uh, yeah, I think that's pretty good.
103:17Honestly. Yeah. I think we, we've covered all the most important receivers that we want to talk about.
103:22He was just the last one on my list that I was like, I want to hear your thoughts on it.
103:29So let's move on to tight ends. Let's start looking at the chalk at tight end.
103:34And at the top, you, I think you've already said that, uh, you, you'd like to play some Mark Andrews in your
103:41Lamar Jackson stacks, but he's 21% projected ownership. Are you going to go to Mark Andrews outside of Lamar Jackson stacks?
103:48And do you think you'll match the field? Um, at 21%.
103:52Yeah, it is sad because I was expecting him to not be that highly owned and then Zay Flowers gets ruled out
103:59and yeah, he comes way up in ownership projection.
104:02Understandably so. Um, I think if you're playing Andrews, you're largely playing him for the touchdown equity.
104:07Uh, he has going back to last season, 10 end zone targets, which is double anybody else on the Ravens.
104:13Um, it's more than every other tight end in the NFL, but aside from Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, if I'm remembering correctly.
104:21So you're getting a really awesome red zone role with him.
104:24Um, but like if you're asking in terms of outside of Lamar Jackson stacks, can he fail as chalk?
104:30Uh, yeah, absolutely. Like the Mark Andrews loves dropping the ball in the end zone.
104:35Are you kidding me? Uh, so yeah, I, I don't know that there are a lot of tight end plays.
104:42I really like this week. So out outside of those like Ravens game stacks, I do think it makes sense to get
104:49away from him where that ends up coming in, whether I'm above or below the field.
104:54I'm not sure, but that's like how I would treat it.
104:57Dalton Schultz. Uh, we have no Nico Collins for Houston.
105:01The wide receivers are all pretty gross. The remaining wide receivers on Houston.
105:05Uh, yeah, uh, against Cincinnati. We've, we've been attacking Cincinnati for 30 years.
105:09Uh, as long as I've been playing fantasy football, I think we've been attacking Cincinnati with tight ends.
105:15That's an exaggeration, but it feels like a long time.
105:18We've been attacking Cincinnati with tight ends. Do you want to do it this week with Dalton Schultz?
105:243,200, 19% ownership. I really don't like Dalton Schultz feels like being forced to eat my vegetables as a kid.
105:30And I, I like do not want to have any sort of $3,200, 19% owned Dalton Schultz in my lineups.
105:37I don't know. I just failed at that, at that metaphor, but like, dude, that's so gross.
105:42It's so boring. Uh, Schultz does not have slate breaking upside to me whatsoever.
105:47Uh, over the last three seasons, he's hit 15 DraftKings points only five times.
105:51Uh, he has never hit more than 11.3 DraftKings points in a game without Nico Collins.
105:56Uh, he was like banged up in some of those games, but like his splits without Collins are not actually that good.
106:03Uh, and actually, well, to be clear, that's like 3X.
106:07That is good. You're happy in cash if you play Dalton Schultz and that's like the result, I suppose.
106:13But yeah, I don't know, man. Like I, I, he doesn't scare me whatsoever.
106:17I think there are other tight ends I would rather play.
106:21Um, I'm, I'm worried that the Texans passing game is just not very good this week.
106:26I'm worried they go very run heavy. Uh, they were at a negative two and a half percent P-Row in the games that Nico missed last year.
106:35That's yeah. I, I'm just, I, I'm, I'm good.
106:37With Schultz. I think I'll, I'll try to be below the field.
106:41I would say. I'm just, I'm, I'm, I'm using the, uh, because you can do multiple seasons now.
106:47I was just going to start with 2025. The, the differential between, uh, the fantasy points that Cincinnati gives up to tight
106:54ends and the next worst team as far as defending tight ends.
106:58Um, but it's not getting that much better as I extend seasons, but I'll just, uh, the, the four most recent seasons
107:05they've given up more than a hundred fantasy points.
107:08Uh, more than the next worst, uh, Miami to two tight ends.
107:12It, I thought it was going to make my case stronger and stronger looking through all the past seasons, but yeah, they
107:19just, they gave up a lot more last year to tight ends than any other defense.
107:24This might be a better Cincinnati defense than we've, than we've seen in the past though.
107:29So it might not be quite the same smash defense.
107:32Um, as long as we're still looking at the, let's look at the next two in terms of chalk.
107:38And then I know we're going to, we're going to talk about Colson Loveland also, but we have Michael Mayer at 13% projected ownership.
107:46Kind of let people down last week. Uh, but Brock Bowers out again this week.
107:51Are we going back there? And then also Trey McBride, um, just continues to, to absolutely crush fantasy football.
107:57Um, so what, what, what is your level of interest?
108:00I think you'll be above the field on either of mayor or McBride, or is either of them a big fade for you?
108:08Uh, neither is a big fade. I think I'm more willing to give Michael Mayer another chance than I am to play a bunch of Dalton Schultz.
108:16So I think if, if I'm paying down at tight end, that's like kind of where I'm starting is with mayor.
108:23Uh, it it's basically just the same type of cases last week.
108:27Like the usage was there. The fantasy points were not that that's fine.
108:31Uh, I don't have that much to say on it, but he's okay to me.
108:36Uh, Trey McBride is legit, really interesting. Um, I think the way I, we talked about JSN a good amount earlier.
108:43I think the way I want to play it is, and I have, I haven't, uh, like experimented that much with building
108:50yet, but in my head, the way I want to play it is just the McBride JSN mini.
108:56I think paying up at tight end and paying up to JSN might get you down to like some five, six K
109:03range running backs and get you a little bit different in that way.
109:07It's just like a different way to build that maybe we could, uh, experiment with, but McBride's really, really compelling to me.
109:14Um, 22 draft Kings points per game in games with Jacoby Brissett the last two years.
109:19Uh, that would be wide receiver two on the slate.
109:22He's priced as just the wide receiver seven. Uh, if you imagined he were a wide receiver, uh, it's a good schematic matchup.
109:30The Seahawks play a lot of zone coverage. McBride has feasted against zone in particular, uh, especially relative to Marvin Harrison, Michael Wilson.
109:37Uh, so I think he's a really fun one.
109:40I I'm just like done overthinking McBride is kind of where I'm at very similarly to Javante Williams, as we were talking
109:47about where I was lower on McBride, like relative to where he was going in seasonal.
109:52Um, but I, like, I, I just feel like the industry just massively overthought it.
109:57Like we nuked him down into the mid late third round because we thought the Cardinals would throw less, but like they're,
110:04I don't know, they're going to be trailing every game.
110:07Like, what are we, what are we doing? Uh, so yeah, Trey McBride play him.
110:12He's another one. I'm just happy to quickly pivot back onto in week two after the usage we saw in week one,
110:19uh, was effectively the same as it was all of last year with Brissette.
110:24So he he's fun. He's a good play to me.
110:27I think Colson lovely. We already talked about Colson Loveland being the pass catcher you're most interested in on the bears.
110:34Uh, so I know you have interest. What, what is your level of interest in Colson Loveland?
110:39It's pretty high. Um, I was worried there. It's, it's so funny in DFS.
110:44Like sometimes you get the big ownership discounts on the guys that fail.
110:48And sometimes you don't at all. Like we aren't getting an ownership discount on George Pickens.
110:53We are on Colson Loveland, I guess, uh, at the same exact price that he was at last week, which we already
111:00thought was far too low for what his role was.
111:03Uh, Loveland ran the most routes of any player on the bears last week, 84.2% route participation, just an elite number.
111:10You'd be super happy with any wide receiver running that many routes.
111:14Uh, and over our wider sample, if we go all the way back to the bears by, uh, in like week five
111:21of 2025, since then Loveland averages 2.25 yards per route run.
111:24Uh, of course it was a zero last week, but even including that game in the sample, that's more efficient than Brock Bowers was as a rookie.
111:33That's more efficient than Trey McBride was over that exact same span.
111:37Uh, so yeah, Loveland's legitimately really exciting to me, uh, as, as a 5k tight end.
111:42Um, if it really is that the field is off of him now, uh, or at least that he's single digit ownership,
111:49that that's something I really want to make sure I attack.
111:53Uh, even outside of like lineups on playing Caleb in, I think Loveland is, yeah, that that's just a really fun play to me.
112:00Yeah. My, my prediction is that he comes in at double digits just because I think everybody like can see it like,
112:07oh, that's obviously like, this is too, too sharp.
112:10We're all going to want to do the same thing because he's projected four single digits around the industry.
112:16But I kind of feel like everybody's going to do the same thing.
112:21And then like, yeah, we're going to end up with, you know, 14% Loveland, which is still fine probably, but, um, yeah, well, we'll see.
112:29I could be wrong about that. He's being projected pretty low.
112:32Um, so let me open it up to you.
112:35Who are just some of your favorite tight ends in the interest of, you know, getting us out of here, uh, relatively
112:42soon, um, to tell me about some of your favorites.
112:45Um, there's one that I wanted to keep paywalled.
112:48I think in advanced matchups, uh, you, Scott Barrett tells me I need to paywall more of these players guys.
112:55Sorry. I give out so many of them from our content at fantasy points on this show.
113:00I can't give every single one. Um, but yeah, there is another tight end that I wrote up, uh, that I think is really, really strong.
113:08Um, honestly, there's been some hints throughout the show as to who it is.
113:13You guys can probably guess. Uh, I'm just trying to think of a second one that I can throw out other, uh, than him.
113:21Um, I don't know. Why don't you throw, why don't you like throw a couple of names at me and I'll just go say yes or no.
113:29And I don't have to expand unless it's a yes.
113:33George Kittle. Oh yes. Yeah. That's, that's who I just should have brought up probably.
113:37Um, yeah, I, we talked about it a little bit with Christian McCaffrey, but Kittle was yeah, on a limited route share last week.
113:45I, it was in, in the forties, I believe.
113:48Um, yeah, 47% route share. Uh, two of his five targets were on designed reads.
113:53He was the first read on all the other ones.
113:56There was clearly like intentional usage for Kittle and on the very first drive, he ran the most routes of any pass
114:03catcher on the team, eight routes on the first drive, four targets on that first drive.
114:08I think what happened is they say, all right, we're going halfway around the world to Australia.
114:14Uh, George is like, you're, you're going to play the first drive and see how you look.
114:19He, I mean, he looked awesome. He continued, he commanded all of these targets.
114:24They built the game plan around him kind of for that first look.
114:28Uh, and then that was like most of the routes and involvement that he saw in the game.
114:34Uh, I think very easily George Kittle for a player that I, I, now I wish I had the historical splits on
114:41hand, but George Kittle in terms of games above 15 DraftKings points, 20 DraftKings points over the past three to four seasons
114:48is up there with Trey McBride, with Bowers, with prime Travis Kelsey.
114:52Like this guy's ceiling is amazing. Uh, the 49ers have the highest implied total of any team this week.
114:58Kittle's only 4,600. Yeah. That's, that's an awesome play.
115:01I, I obviously play him with rock Purdy. I even, I, I would say like similar price range to Mark Andrews.
115:07I think you're almost making a similar bet, except I it's, yeah, it's a, it's a better team total.
115:13And Kittle is like, I don't know, even post Achilles Kittle, I might take over wash Mark Andrews right now.
115:20So yeah, that, that's like a really fun kind of pivot there.
115:24I think Dallas Goddard. Um, he's okay, I guess.
115:27Yeah. TJ Hawkinson. Um, I can't remember if I mentioned him, Jake Tribby really likes him in the Carson Wentz stacks, or
115:34if you want to double Carson Wentz, I think that makes sense, uh, for where he's priced, um, relative to, yeah, to
115:41Dalton Schultz, Michael Mayer, you get a nice ownership discount if you're making a game script bet there.
115:46I think he's, yeah, I think he's decent. All right.
115:50Is that enough? Should we, uh, should we move on and make some lineups?
115:54I think, yeah, let's make some lineups. Starting with our first lineup.
115:58Do you, do you want to start with the, uh, the stack and you can include everybody from you, you know, your
116:05quarterback, the stack, the bring back, if you want to, or would you rather have me start the first one?
116:12You can pick for the first stack and I'll, and I'll choose the second stack in our second lineup.
116:18Okay. Um, let's see. I would like to start with, um, I guess I'll, I'll do one that we're both in on Carson Wentz.
116:25I want to do Wentz with Jefferson. I think I might, I'm debating if I want to do a double stack.
116:32Um, I'm actually going to do kind of a, I'm going to do Wentz with Jefferson and no, cause I want to
116:39leave you with the opportunity to do another wide receiver also.
116:43So maybe I won't do the Addison double stack.
116:46I'll do Wentz with Jefferson. And then I like the, the Luther burden bring back, I think better than you do.
116:52So this is one where I'm going to, going to force you into a player that you probably won't get to a ton of elsewhere.
117:00So we'll start with Wentz Jefferson burden. And then I'll, I'll let you add on a player that you like.
117:07Okay. Um, cheap quarterback. I'm a little tempted to pay up at tight end with Trey McBride.
117:12So we, we can take it out if it ends up not working, but I think that's kind of a fun way to, to start off.
117:21All right, let's do that. Um, now we need, we, we probably want to save some salary, especially if I'm now I'm
117:28thinking about, are we going to do a JSN bring back for, for Trey McBride?
117:33Well, we'll see if we, if we actually can do that.
117:36Uh, but I'm thinking I might want to save a little bit of money at running back.
117:42And I think we have a fairly chalky start with, I think Wentz will probably come in higher than 5% owned.
117:48Uh, Jefferson's certainly going to be a bit chalky.
117:51Um, so I'm, I'm thinking I might want to save a little bit of, uh, get a little bit off the board
117:58at running back and also save some salary. So, and actually this is one where now I'm thinking the other way, Aaron
118:05Jones could work with the Carson Wentz stack, but I'm going to go with, uh, your galaxy brain play here.
118:12Basial Tootin 5,600, 1% projected ownership. I think that's plenty off the board for a lineup that was, you know, starting to
118:19look chalky, but I, but I liked that call out of Basial Tootin.
118:23So now we still have 48, 50 left per play.
118:26What do you want to do? Ooh, I like that.
118:29We probably, yeah, with this lineup, we just need to stay cheap at running back.
118:34Uh, show, show me like the 6k range. I know you don't like Javante.
118:39Uh, we can do Javante. If you like Javante, I'm going to play some Javante.
118:44Okay. Let's, let's put Javante in for now. Uh, if we need like the 300 or 400 to go to like Bucky
118:51or Chuba or whatever, I think that's fine too.
118:53Keep in mind, but yeah. All right. So I'm going to go to defense.
118:58Um, I could just go all the way down to like the Titans.
119:02I think are fine, but I'm going to, I'm going to try going a little bit higher first.
119:08Um, cause I don't think I want to pay all the way down.
119:12Let's see, man. It's, it's kind of tough, uh, as far as pay downs go.
119:17Cause I'm, I kind of just want to play, uh, the Panthers against, uh, Cooper rush.
119:22I think they have a decent defense. Cooper rush pretty bad.
119:26I don't know if they're going to throw it enough for, you know, the Panthers defense to take advantage, but I'm going to start there.
119:34I think I'm going to go to a Panthers defense against Cooper rush.
119:38Actually, Cincinnati sort of interesting too. I'll go Panthers.
119:41I'll go Panthers. Yeah. I think those are both good.
119:44Um, okay. I'm trying to do mental math here.
119:47Uh, show me how much JSN is. 80, 101.
119:50Okay. Uh, and we, so we can't do it.
119:53He's the only receiver that we don't have. Yeah.
119:55I was, my thought here was to do JSN plus pop Douglas.
119:59Um, maybe that's a little too cute. We could probably fit it if we squeezed out defense and like Javante.
120:06Maybe. What if we go down to the Titans defense?
120:09Maybe. Yeah. And then we can, and then we can blow.
120:13Let's, let's see what this looks like. Oh, 2800.
120:15So I think pop Douglas is 3800. Maybe. Maybe.
120:18Yes. So yeah, we'd have to go down even further.
120:22Yeah. This probably won't work. You can go, you can take JSN out and go back to what you wanted.
120:28Probably. All right. That's a bummer that we can't, uh, cause I'm, you know, we could, I was thinking we could go down to Chuba or something.
120:37Um, but let's, uh, yeah, let's try something else at wide receiver.
120:40Um, what do you, uh, who else do you like at receiver for our, you know, relative payup or we could do,
120:48you know, uh, another running back in the flex of the relative payup.
120:52Yeah. Um, scroll, scroll down a little at receiver.
120:55Uh, I'm just trying to think if I'm weaving, there's like nobody at 49 or 48.
121:00That's any good. So like maybe Parker, he was 58, right?
121:0359 59. Is there a 5k flex player that you don't hate?
121:07I mean, Loveland, we could always play Loveland as another bring back.
121:11That's actually really fun. Um, that's like very unique double tight end.
121:15Uh, yeah, you get still get Loveland as the bring back, which is like the one we might've wanted McBride, basically a
121:22wide receiver in this lineup, which I, I, as we talked about earlier, I think is fine.
121:27Uh, yeah. So I, and I believe I, I'm just assuming the Seattle game is later, so I'm going to, uh, swap
121:34them and then it just looks like, yeah, we've got McBride as the wide receiver.
121:39There you go. Beauty. I think that works. So we've got Carson Wentz with Justin Jefferson bring backs of Luther burden.
121:46And Colston Loveland. We also have Basial Tootin as our total dark throw 1% projected ownership.
121:51Javante Williams, Parker, Washington, Colston, Loveland, uh, uh, Trey McBride and the Titans defense.
121:56I had a fruit fly attack me right as I was reading that off.
122:00It threw me off. Um, but yeah, I think that that, uh, that lineup works.
122:05So I'm going to enter that one and then we'll do one more.
122:09Um, and you can choose who you like, uh, as the stack.
122:13Ooh. Um, for my one stack, let's do, let's do, well, we, we did, uh, we did, we did, we did in 5,900.
122:20Um, do you want to bring back or anything in this one?
122:24Um, I don't, so I think the best bring back last week was the Jaguars defense.
122:29Um, for if you were stacking the Jaguars, I I'm tempted to say similar this week.
122:35Like what if we, because Trevor Lawrence will just be so greedy on these turnovers with these short fields.
122:41Uh, if they, the Broncos continue to be a mess on offense and turn the ball over, like is, is that compelling?
122:48I don't, I don't know. You want to play the, the, I don't hate it.
122:53It's, it's not something not many people will do Trevor Lawrence stack with the Jaguars defense, but I don't hate that.
122:59Um, we are 2400. They're 24. Yeah, they're only 24.
123:02That's, that's good. Yeah, it does seem pretty good.
123:05All right. Let's, let's try it. Let's, let's do something weird.
123:09Okay. Uh, all right. And then what do I want to do at running back?
123:14I think that, I mean, relatively inexpensive this, this, uh, you know, as a start.
123:19Um, so I will go to. I think McCaffrey McCaffrey at 8,000.
123:22Uh, just, I think we agree that he is a very strong play and I'll throw it back to you.
123:29Um, let's go. Ooh, can we, can we do the Garrett Wilson, Christian Watson mini?
123:34Yeah. Let's do that. Wilson, Christian Watson, 6200. Okay.
123:37Um, now what else do I want to do at running back?
123:40We still have 52, 33 left per player. So we could do, you know, kind of a cheaper tight end potentially and
123:47get to a couple more, you know, uh, reasonably priced running backs.
123:51So I am going to start by going to Derek Henry at 7,200.
123:55Um, and now we, if we go to a cheaper tight end, we could get, you know, pay up a little bit
124:03of flex, but, uh, what are you thinking? Do you want to, do you want to choose the flex or choose a tight end?
124:10Um, I'll, I'll pick the tight end, the cheap tight end.
124:14Uh, probably Michael mayor is what I'm thinking. Um, yeah.
124:17Yeah. Let's see where that leads us to mayor.
124:20It's a plenty unique lineup with Trevor and Jack's D I think.
124:24Yeah. The question is, are there any players we like at 4900?
124:2849 sucks. Yeah. Maybe, maybe we do pay down.
124:30I mean, we could do the, the, the stack with, uh, Parker Washington and Jacobi Myers.
124:36Uh, he looked pretty good point per dollar in the fantasy points projection.
124:40So he's one that we could consider, but, uh, otherwise Dallas Goddard's there at 4,800.
124:45Um, I'd say he's playable BTJ also. We could do that.
124:48So multiple ways to do the double stack there.
124:51Matthew golden at 4,700. I don't hate that either.
124:54Um, you want to play Watson and golden with no Jordan love is, are we too good?
124:59Too thin there? Or I don't, you tell me you're the D you're the DFS genius.
125:05Like that's not my department, but yeah, it's, it is, it's playable.
125:08Um, you know, if you kind of assume that Matthew golden is just getting eight receptions for a hundred yards and no
125:15touchdown, like there, there's ways that they can both hit without Jordan love hitting with the, the way drafting scoring works.
125:22Um, so I'd say it's, it is something that I'm willing to do.
125:26It's not my favorite way to build when I'm, when I'm hand building.
125:31Cause it is like most of the time, if they both go off in a way that you need, like probably Jordan
125:38love is putting up a big score too. Um, yeah.
125:41What else is there though? So we could swap Watson to golden and then you can have like a real flex player
125:48and keep like the thesis of the lineup. Um, we, we could also just swap mayor down to slightly, I mean, Hawkinson is a hundred dollars cheaper.
125:57Then you get up to the Colson Loveland or the $5,000 tier.
126:00Um, or I, you don't want to play Schultz so we can, we can skip past Schultz, uh, trying to think if
126:08there are any other, yeah, that, that would probably be the, the cheaper tight end option.
126:13If we are, are there $5,000 players that are worth getting to?
126:17Cause obviously we, we just played Loveland. We could play Loveland again.
126:20Dobson Dobbs, QJ, Coker at 51 would be my target probably, but yeah, you need 200 for it.
126:26Yeah. Um, and then Kate Otten is fine, but not super exciting.
126:30Yeah. Bring back. Like, yeah, I don't, I don't know.
126:33I threw his name out on catching points, but I did not mean it whatsoever.
126:38Yeah. I have an anger. And you, you're, I mean, I think I'm more into Schultz than you are, but I'm not,
126:45he's, he's not one I'm going to force you to play.
126:49Um, so are there any of these $4,900 players we should consider, or would you rather get away from, uh, what did you want to do the Watson?
126:58Just, just swap Watson to Matthew Golden, which is like sacrilege.
127:01If the pre week one version of me knew that I was doing that, yeah, would have been really upset and concerned.
127:08But now, yeah, you have a lot to play with here.
127:12Um, so there is Devante again. Uh, I like a Buka a bit.
127:16Um, yeah, there's still, we just took out Watson.
127:19We could, we could go Bucky Irving. Yeah. I like that.
127:22I hate that. I like that a lot. That's a good lineup.
127:26Yeah. We're leaving 300 on the table. I think I'm okay.
127:30Leaving 300 on the table. Uh, of course with that, then you're, you know, hoping that McCaffrey outscores B John straight up.
127:37Cause he, we could pay up for B John there.
127:40Um, there are other ways to play this, but I think this, this lineup works.
127:45I think these players could, you know, score those and you're not really hitting, trying to hit perfection in, uh, these, uh, full slates anyway.
127:53So the lineup is Trevor Lawrence with Parker Washington and the Jaguars defense.
127:57Nobody from Denver. Then we have Christian McCaffrey, Derek Henry, Garrett Wilson, and Matthew golden, little mini, um, Michael Mayer, and then Bucky Irving.
128:05This one leaves 300 on the table. I think it works.
128:08I like it. I think this is a fun lineup.
128:12Yeah. There you go. I like this one. I, I feel like the, I feel like I ruined our first one by jamming McBride into it, honestly.
128:20Um, but I, so I like that one better.
128:23I mean, sometimes it's not the ones you love that win though.
128:27I think they both think they both have a shot.
128:30Um, all right. That's going to do it though for the show.
128:34This was a lot of fun. Episode two, uh, made, made some lineups.
128:38Hopefully we can at least cash one of these again.
128:41Hopefully it's at the top of the tournament though.
128:44It's really what we're hoping for. Um, Ryan, what else, where, where else can people find you coming up, uh, the rest of the weekend?
128:52Or I guess you, you take a Saturday off, right?
128:56So, uh, after the weekend, what, what do you have coming up?
128:59Uh, where, where people find you? Yeah. You can come find me, uh, in the fantasy points, DFS discord channel.

129:21Uh, and yeah, the rest of the week you can find me, uh, on the main YouTube channel, uh, reviewing, uh, the

129:40Yeah. I think that's all I got. Uh, thanks Neil.
129:43All right. Yeah. So, uh, I, I put out a video last week that I'm kind of excited about, um, about the,
129:50the night that I won a million dollars. It was, it was a really fun sweat.
129:55I really enjoyed reliving the experience and so far I've gotten some positive reviews.
130:00So you can check out, uh, if you go to the Flannelverse YouTube channel, it's on the main page.
130:06Uh, it's at the top there. So it's a 14 minute video, just kind of describing, uh, that night that I won the Millie maker.
130:14Um, but also you can always find all of my showdown write-ups behind the paywall at fantasy points.
130:20Next one will be for Sunday night football. I also do showdown shows before all of the primetime slates, Thursday night football,

130:31Uh, so a lot of the, the fantasy points data in the fantasy points data suite, uh, highly featured there.
130:37So check that out as well. But that's all I got.
130:41Uh, you can find me there. There's me on the screen at player Q DFS on Twitter.
