Tetairoa McMillan's 15.2% slot rate on passing plays ranked 101st, squarely in the heavy X-receiver bucket with Courtland Sutton, Nico Collins and DK Metcalf (102-104). Chris Brazzell needs to emerge as the sacrificial player, and the Panthers need to spread it out more often to make it happen, but I do believe McMillan can work out of the slot. [Quoted](

It may be a while before Germie Bernard is playing consistently If Roman Wilson is in and doing the deep crossing and vertical role described here, that helps DK Metcalf stay short and intermediate That could mean a better start for DK By mid to late season I still expect Germie to win this battle Germie allows Pittman to play more slot (good for Pittman), but probably sends DK deeper (bad for DK)

Metcalf is the only notable WR to have already played with Aaron Rodgers. In 2025, he adapted to Rodgers' limitations by becoming a YAC monster, generating 7.2 YAC per reception (fourth-most among WRs with 50+ targets), a massive increase from his 4.25 career average.
