THIS is the year for Josh Downs!!! Beyond the Box Score: <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaRQBAyHFcE>
Just went LIVE for 2 hours to catch you up on all the latest news and analysis around the NFL Chris Rodriguez Parker Washington Ricky Pearsall Josh Downs Alec Pierce & MORE I will do this nearly every day moving forward (sub/like/share below)
The #Colts starting wide receiver group to kick off training camp without Alec Pierce: Josh Downs Ashton Dulin Laquon Treadwell Obviously not having your WR1 makes things seem worse, but it goes to show just how bleak the room will look if Pierce/Downs goes down at any point.
Hot takes with @TheOGfantasy on the @RotoWire Fantasy Football pod - Bucky Irving - Emeka Egbuka - Josh Downs - KC Concepcion - Jayden Reed <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvIcXyQbChc&t=1497s>
Sounds like Josh Downs would prefer to figure out his contract after this season Smart man - with the role increase I think this is going to be a career year for him
#Colts HC Shane Steichen on Josh Downs’ involvement in the 2026 offense: “Getting him involved any way we can, whether it’s in 12 personnel — obviously, he plays a lot in the slot in 11 personnel. But just trying to find different ways to get him the ball.”
And here’s the direct quote that alludes to Josh Downs 2WR set usage, which reporters have signified all offseason Always want the best price, which will rise right now If they sign Keenan it will fall again (maybe to its lowest point since April) - I’m buying all of it

Downs has TOTALED 33 routes and 12 targets from '12' personnel over the past 3 seasons. [Quoted](
Colts Sound Ready To Give Josh Downs More Playing Time <https://www.draftsharks.com/fantasy-football-news/82041/colts-sound-ready-to-give-josh-downs-more-playing-time> [Retweeted](
You see plenty of hype on Josh Downs' strong targets and yards per route metrics. He's been less impressive in fantasy points per route. Ranks among WRs with 40+ targets: 2023: 51st out of 93 2024: 20th out of 105 2025: 41st out of 90
Alec Pierce is close and a week or two away from a return to practice Will be interesting to see if they’re able to implement a bit of a role change from a deep threat to more Less offseason time to work on improving and practicing other routes leads me to think it’s less likely this season (even though they need it) Unsure if they’ll need to manage his reps Josh Downs and Tyler Warren are my targets for 2026
I wonder if Josh Downs knows how much I love and believe in him this year My glorious king's 0.25 TPRR through the first three seasons of his career ranks 8th-highest among all WRs since the 2021 rookie class (Ryan Heath Stat) But did you also know that Downs commanded that number while lining up in 3WR+ sets on 97.1% of his routes? (Kyle Menton Stat) By far the highest percentage among the WRs in this sample (per @FantasyPtsData) Now, imagine him in 2WR sets with Alec Pierce hobbled and hurt
Josh Downs, among 74 WRs who have run 450+ routes out of 11 personnel in the past 2 years, ranks top 10 in both TPRR and 1D/RR when in 11p. The other WRs across the NFL who were top 10 in both: Puka Nacua Ja'Marr Chase Amon-Ra St. Brown AJ Brown Drake London Mike Evans
Michael Pittman was 11th in targets as the motion man in 2025. Both he and Josh Downs ranked top-15 in the NFL in motion targets under Shane Steichen. I watched all of Pittman's motion targets. So many felt transferable 1:1 to Downs
I already cannot stand 95% of the training camp posts we're seeing daily (useless, overly hyperbolic nonsense) So, here are 17 things you should actually pay attention to during Training Camp: 1. When Malik Nabers starts participating with full pads and how he looks doing so 2. Jordy Tyson being a full participant with zero limitations throughout camp 3. Confirmation that Makai Lemon is 100% ready to go, and his hamstring won't be an issue 4. Josh Downs' usage and performance when lining up o...
If you’ve been following along, we’ve known about Josh Downs getting outside reps in the Spring for about a month Excited to keep everyone in the loop this offseason
After examining stand-out Vegas expectations with @SmolaDS and digging into the schedule (plus @CoachspeakIndex notes) for every team with @DanSchneierNFL, I made the following 2026 Fantasy Football rankings adjustments: 📈Kyler Murray / Justin Jefferson 📈Josh Downs / Tyler Warren 📈Jayden Daniels / Terry McLaurin 📉Bill 📈Rachaad White 📈Parker Washington/Brenton Strange 📉BTJ 📉Bhayshul Tuten 📈Derrick Henry 📈Chase Brown 📈Saquon Barkley 📈Kenneth Walker 📉Courtland Sutton 📈Jayden Ree...
Josh Downs will get reps on the outside per Shane Steichen Still an ADP smash Discussed with @MattHarmon_BYB on @YahooFantasy below
We love Josh Downs
This a great question. Who should we expect to see a large increase in First Read Target Share in 2025? 1. DeVonta Smith He ranked 15th at 28.8% last season, but could clear 35%+ with AJ Brown gone 2. Terry McLaurin He ranked 28th at 25.8% during a season where he and Jayden Daniels were often injured (rarely playing together) 3. Christian Watson Even though he was a big riser in 2025, I think his 1READ continues to increase (34th-ranked 23.9% in 2025) 4. Michael Pittman He ranked 38th at 23....
Don't sleep on Josh Downs in fantasy this year 👀 (via Yahoo Fantasy Forecast) @MattHarmon_BYB | @DhananiZain
On the flip side, which WRs saw the biggest decrease in their First Read Target Share from 2024-2025? (per @FantasyPtsData) 1. Cooper Kupp: -14.1% 2. Chris Godwin: -12.9% 3. Christian Kirk: -12.2% 4. Josh Downs: -10.6% 5. Ladd McConkey: -8.7% 6. Davante Adams: -8.3% 7. AJ Brown: -7.1% 8. Brian Thomas: -6.7% 9. Courtland Sutton: -6.4% 10. Stefon Diggs: -6.4% I think several of these players can bounce-back toward their 2024 1READ numbers: Chris Godwin, Josh Downs, and Ladd McConkey
The Colts plan on covering Josh Downs with a mirrored uniform so defenders have no idea he's on the field.

How many times do I need to tell you, Josh Downs (Sleeper ADP shown here) is too cheap (even on UD)? Ofcourse the rec yard O/U prop is closer to a median, but Downs (and Wan’Dale, who I wrote about) are very live to lead their teams in receptions/targets
I know there’s a lot of people into Jordan Addison (I was too!) but if he’s forced to go deep more (was already doing it a lot) - it’s not good and not spikier DK props aren’t a great way to view this, but Jayden Reed, Jordan Addison, and Josh Downs are going in the wrong order
