Alec Pierce

PositiveValue45:46

Alec Pierce is considered good value despite recent injury reports. He is expected to play an expanded role after being a top-25 wide receiver last year.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveValue3:42

Full Espn Fantasy Experts note that Bijan Robinson is a top-tier selection, with some analysts preferring him over Jahmyr Gibbs in half-PPR formats.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeInjury20:59

Breece Hall suffered a strained groin, though head coach Aaron Glenn downplayed the severity. The injury status adds risk to his draft profile, though it was considered a reasonable roll of the dice at his draft position.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveValue30:02

Brock Bowers is considered a top-tier tight end alongside Trey McBride, with a notable gap between them and the rest of the field.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveRole64:42

The Full Espn Fantasy Experts highlight Caleb Douglas as a healthy rookie who has earned a starting spot on the Dolphins' depth chart and could potentially emerge as the team's number one receiver.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveDepth Chart49:28

Chris Bell, the Dolphins' rookie third-round pick, has been activated from injury recovery. While his Week 1 status is uncertain, his activation is a positive sign for his availability.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveValue28:52

Chris Olave is a target for Daniel Dopp in the third round, valued as a strong WR2 option.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveValue4:14

Christian McCaffrey remains a premier selection, with Mike Clay drafting him at the fourth spot in a half-PPR mock draft.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveBreakout39:20

Full Espn Fantasy Experts is "buying" Christian Watson this year, noting he was impressive down the stretch last season. He is boosted in PPR formats as a big-play touchdown threat, especially if Matt LaFleur narrows the target tree.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveProjection26:02

DJ Moore is identified as the strongest bet among his tier of receivers to reach 95 catches. He has a history of career-best production in the Joe Brady offense, to which he is returning.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveValue11:51

Derrick Henry is viewed as a safer, high-value play in half-PPR formats where his limited receiving upside is less of a penalty compared to full PPR.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveValue43:59

George Kittle is considered a high-upside draft pick despite injury concerns. He was highly productive late last season, recording four 20-point games in his final six outings.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

PositiveValue43:43

Harold Fannin is drafted as a healthy tight end option late in the draft, positioned as a safer play compared to other tight ends dealing with injuries.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveValue3:42

Jahmyr Gibbs is considered a top-tier running back option, with Matt Bowen selecting him in the first round of the mock draft.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveProjection20:15

Javonte Williams is viewed as a classic half-PPR/non-PPR asset with passing game involvement and significant upside, including the potential for 12 rushing touchdowns. He benefits from minimal backfield competition, with only inexperienced backups Jaden Blue and Phil Maffa behind him.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeInjury20:39

Jeremiah Love is dealing with a high ankle sprain that will keep him out for the remainder of the preseason and potentially Week 1, though historical data suggests a return within 4 weeks.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveUsage41:07

Jonathan Brooks is viewed as a high-variance running back who could enter Week 1 as the clear lead back in Carolina due to Chuba Hubbard's hamstring injury.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

PositiveRole60:48

The Full Espn Fantasy Experts report that Jordan Mason is emerging as the clear lead runner for the Vikings, making him a valuable late-round target despite Aaron Jones's expected role in passing situations.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

NegativeInjury29:02

Jordan Tyson suffered a hamstring injury, which is a significant concern given his history with similar injuries during the pre-draft process.

Insight page
NegativeInjury46:27

Jordan Tyson is a talented rookie but carries significant uncertainty due to a persistent hamstring injury that may keep him out early in the season.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeValue18:48

Josh Jacobs is facing significant uncertainty due to off-field allegations and potential suspension, creating a 'big cloud' over his draft valuation. The situation is described as high-profile, making it difficult to determine an appropriate draft spot.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveValue50:14

Justin Herbert is considered a strong value pick in the 11th round, ranked as a top-six quarterback by Full Espn Fantasy Experts.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveValue13:26

Justin Jefferson is highly regarded by the analysts, with Field Yates noting he likes all things involving him for the current season.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

NegativeRole63:25

The Full Espn Fantasy Experts clarify that Keaton Mitchell is unlikely to have standalone fantasy value, but his potential role could negatively impact the upside of De'Von Achane in the Dolphins' offense.

Insight page

Luther Burden

NegativeBust27:18

Luther Burden is viewed as being drafted at the apex of his value (4th round in 12-team leagues), which is considered too rich given his limited career production, injury status, and lack of playoff impact. He is not considered a 'sure thing' compared to more established stars like Garrett Wilson.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveValue20:00

Malik Nabers is considered good value in the third round of a 10-team league, with expectations that he will be ready for Week 1.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveBreakout15:43

Daniel Dopp is all-in on Amarion Hampton, ranking him as an RB1 and RB5 overall, expecting him to crush in his current offense.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeInjury7:29

Puka Nacua's draft stock is sliding due to concerns regarding a potential injury that could cause him to miss at least one game.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

PositiveBreakout61:19

The Full Espn Fantasy Experts consider Quinton Johnston a high-upside late-round target, citing his performance last year and the potential for him to succeed if Justin Herbert has a strong season.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

PositiveValue23:50

Quinshawn Judkins is a high-upside target in half-PPR formats. He is expected to handle a massive workload and could potentially lead the NFL in carries if the Cleveland offense remains competitive. He is considered great value as a third running back.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeProjection36:48

Full Espn Fantasy Experts ranks Rhamondre Stevenson ahead of Travion Henderson, but expresses concern that Stevenson was not startable last year and doubts his role will expand at age 28. He averaged only nine carries and two targets per game last season.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

PositiveRole42:16

Tony Pollard is viewed as the clear-cut lead rusher in Tennessee. Despite Tyjae Spears hype, the expectation is that Pollard remains the primary back, with Robert Saleh potentially having a soft spot for him based on past performance.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeInjury43:46

Tucker Kraft is noted as potentially limited to open the season due to injury, though he is expected to be involved in the passing game when healthy.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

PositiveDepth Chart27:12

Tyler Allgeier is viewed as a key insurance running back who could see 16-20 carries if Jeremiah Love misses time.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeInjury49:18

There is currently no clear timeline for Zach Charbonnet's return from injury, though there is hope he could return unexpectedly.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveValue21:44

Zay Flowers is considered good value at his current draft position, coming off a season where he finished seventh in fantasy points among wide receivers despite Lamar Jackson missing time.

0:00This episode is brought to you by Facebook. So, you were scrolling on Marketplace, and there it was, the bike you'd been searching for.
0:07You sent a message, and it turned out the seller was super chatty, kind of funny, and an avid cyclist.
0:12The next thing you know, you're in a cycling crew.
0:15Well, a community cycling group. The thing about Facebook, you might find more than what you're looking for.
0:20From a browse to a bike ride, this summer, find more on Facebook.
0:24Oh, what's up, friends? Welcome into Fantasy Focus Football alongside Field Yates and Mike Clay.
0:28My name is Daniel Dopp. It is Monday, August 17th, and guys, we had some football over the weekend.
0:33Our first bit of preseason football. How exciting is that?
0:36We're going to talk about that just a little bit.
0:39Most importantly, man, do you guys feel how chilly it is in here?
0:42Do you guys feel that? Yeah, yeah, I do.
0:45Is that a draft? Oh, it's a draft day, baby!
0:47Nailed it! A draft Monday already starting right now.
0:50We're going to have a big mock draft here for you guys, like we always do on Monday.
0:55I am picking from the sixth spot. Field is picking from the eighth spot.
0:59Mike is picking from the fourth spot as well.
1:01So we're going to be doing that throughout the entirety of the show.
1:05First and foremost, really quickly, I want to tell you guys about our live show, FantasyFocusLive.com.
1:09There are only a few tickets left. Go grab them.
1:12It's going to be New York City, August 20th, FantasyFocusLive.com.
1:15Go check that out. And hang out in our chat with our buddy Eric Moody.
1:19Follow him on social media, at Eric and Moody.
1:22And just jump in chat. Hang out with all the people.
1:25Do a little bit of the socializing. You know what I mean?
1:28It's a good time being in there. Send some punishments, ways you determine your draft order, etc., etc.
1:33By the way, there was stuff that happened over the weekend.
1:36I was just going to say. For football purposes.
1:38In preseason games. The good news about doing a mock draft is that you can talk about it before the mock begins,
1:45or you can talk about it when the notable players get taken off the board.
1:49Jeremiah Love now nursing a high ankle sprain. Brees Hall, moments before our show began, walked off the field with trainers at the Jets practice.
1:56We'll talk about that once Brees Hall is picked.
1:58We are basically flying blind to the Brees Hall situation.
2:01We have no information other than reporters seem to believe it's an upper right leg situation.
2:05We'll talk about these things as these players come off the board.
2:09But we already made three picks. Yeah, we did.
2:11People are written. I haven't said a word yet.
2:14You guys have kind of stolen the thunder here.
2:16And I'm sitting here wondering, should I pick or am I waiting?
2:19Liz Loza, I want to say this really quickly.
2:22Liz Loza going opposite of what the people, I believe the people were 53-47 on Jameer Gibbs over Bajon Robinson.
2:28She went with Bajon and then Matt Bowen took Jameer Gibbs and then Jamar Chase.
2:32Still waiting to see what happens here at four, Mike.
2:34I think that we clarify this is half PPR, right?
2:37Half PPR. So it changes things just a little bit.
2:40I think if he was fully good to go, I'd still lean Puk and Nakua here.
2:44But half PPR, I'm going to get a running back.
2:47And I'm going to get a running back that even though it's half PPR, you still get a half a point for a catch.
2:54So give me Daniel Dopp's favorite player. What a reach.
2:57Christian McCaffrey in the four spot. Give me that.
2:59I don't like it. Have you guys, do you guys agree that the best spot to pick in?
3:04I would say on average, most years I want to pick one-on-one, right?
3:08It's fun. You get the first pick, you get the best player ostensibly.
3:11Feels like this is one of those years where two is where you want to be.
3:16Because they're so close, right? Even the strongest case for Bajon Robinson is just ever so slightly stronger than the strongest case for Jameer Gibbs or vice versa.
3:24So just take the other one. Yeah. Go ahead, Mike.
3:26I was just going to say, I feel like this year I don't really care.
3:30I'm just happy everywhere. You are just emotionless this year.
3:33I think if you pick at the beginning of the first round and when you come around round two, at the 2-3
3:39turn, you're going to still get two really good players.
3:42But honestly, at the 1-2 turn, you're going to get really good players.
3:46I mean, it's just there's so much. I feel like a lot of the positions are really top-heavy.
3:51Yeah. It's just really a receiver, tight end. Obviously, quarterback's a different animal.
3:54Even running back. Running back has some sort of, it's kind of leveled off a little bit.
3:59That's probably not. But like, especially receiver and tight end, so extreme top-heavy.
4:03Who am I? I'm just going to do a quick impression.
4:06Spreadsheet says players same, do not care who. Go ahead.
4:08I know. I know the answer. Who is it?
4:11It's got to be Randy Scott. Randy Scott, that's right.
4:14Good old Randy Scott. Love Randy on SportsCenter in the Morning.
4:17Love him. All right. Not Randy Scott? Okay. I am on the clock.
4:20Yep. After CMC, Amon Ross St. Brown came off the board and I got to choose between, do I want Puka here?
4:26I mean, he's falling. I'm at six right now.
4:29We have this big question. Or do I go with a sure thing that feels like a sure thing in JSN and
4:35that is what I'm going to do. So I'm going to take JSN here.
4:39There you go. But this is instructive because the Puka fall has begun.
4:43Yep. And this is not. I don't think this is just a half PPR thing.
4:47Half PPR takes a touch. Of Puka's value off.
4:49But not dramatic value off. Correct. He is starting to slide a little bit as the specter of Puka Nakua missing at least one game.
4:56Seems to be in play now. Man, it will be helpful.
4:59The NFL did over the weekend, by the way.
5:02I was just going to say that. Or on Friday, suspended several players.
5:05Yes. There's a handful of guys that have been suspended for a variety of different things.
5:10No word yet on Puka Nakua. And we'll see whether we get Puka Nakua news this Friday or later or later.
5:16But I'm going to end the slide here. I'm taking Puka.
5:19Jonathan Taylor came off the board to Cam Wolf at seven.
5:22And then you took it. I'm taking Puka at eight.
5:24Back to back. Really good value. So Puka to me, you know, at some point we hope to get some clarity there.
5:31And it's possible that the answer is no punishment.
5:33Right. But ultimately, this is a player that even if you got 15 games of Puka Nakua, you'd still feel like he merited top eight overall selection.
5:41It does put some pressure on my 13th pick.
5:43So I pick eight out of 10 here. But I did take Puka Nakua with my eighth overall selection.
5:48I got to tell you, it is much easier to do that in a mock draft versus a real draft.
5:54Yes, it is. I had one of my first drafts last night and Puka did not really seem to be falling much at all.
6:01So perhaps people more optimistic here. Now this makes for an interesting decision I have coming up.
6:05After Puka, we had James Cook, Devon Achan and Ashton Gentty all back to back to back a little running back run there.
6:12First round is in the books, my friends. Yep.
6:14I think that's pretty much how every first round is going to look, give or take.
6:19Yeah, I agree. Justin Jefferson maybe could squeak in there.
6:21CeeDee Lamb could maybe squeak in there. There's a handful of guys, but it's a fairly chalky first round.
6:27Well, no Justin Jefferson in there. I would say Achan round one, he's kind of slipped to round two and 12 teamers.
6:33So especially in a half PPR. I could tear early there.
6:36But yeah, nothing too wild. I could see a tiny slide.
6:39I'm back on the clock here. And keep in mind, I did take Puka Nakua.
6:43So I think people always ask, what's your draft strategy?
6:46And my draft strategy is it depends on how to change you, Daniel.
6:49You're welcome. Well, the one thing I am definitely trying to do this year is remain patient at quarterback.
6:55I just felt like the builds when you're taking a 10th round quarterback are often better than a second or third round
7:01Josh Allen or fourth or fifth round Lamar Jackson, Jaden Daniels, et cetera.
7:04But everything is about how you've picked up to that point.
7:07So having taken Puka Nakua at number eight overall, baked in some risks there.
7:11I'm going to take a player that you guys know I'm very optimistic on and also was better in half PPR, which
7:17is Derrick Henry, where the fact that his moderate at best receiving value is offset because it's only half a point for every catch.
7:24I took Derrick Henry. I feel like a safer play to counter the riskier play of Puka Nakua.
7:29No, I'm at it, you know. Oh, you want to hope and he was a little further down the draft room, but he was the highest projected player.
7:37So I actually have, you know, Henry in PPR.
7:39I have around in the 10 to 12 range and not PPR of an RB five.
7:44I mean, it's a big difference for him going from PPR to non PPR.
7:48So we're kind of meeting in the middle here.
7:50Yeah. He was the best player on the board right there.
7:53And I was hoping I would get lucky and he would slip a little bit.
7:57So, well, you didn't Mike, you know why? Because I texted you over the weekend and you didn't respond.
8:03Didn't say anything back. Justin Jefferson goes, let's see, fourth pick.
8:06So that's 14 overall. Excuse me, to Cam Wolf.
8:08And I like all things involving Justin Jefferson this year.
8:11Yeah, me too. I'm back on the clock here.
8:13Fields Yates. I already took Jackson Smith and Jigba.
8:16The guys I'm looking at, we got Jeremiah Love.
8:18I think I'm out right now in that situation.
8:21Drake London, Rashi Rice, Trey McBride, Saquon Barkley, Chase Brown.
8:24I'm going to go with my gut because I have a ranking system for a reason, my friends.
8:29I love one of these running backs. Boop, I have a ranking model.
8:32Boop. Where am I? Daniel Dopp. Pretty good, Mike.
8:35That was pretty good, Mike. That was good. Hard Knocks is back and so is the official Hard Knocks podcast.

9:43Available online at 5hourenergy.com and on Amazon. I'm going to go with Amarion Hampton!
9:47Hey, I mean... I'm all in on Amarion Hampton, and from him, I have him as an RB1.
9:52I have him ranked as my RB5. Love him in this offense.
9:55I think he's going to crush. David Presley takes Chase Brown afterwards.
9:58I'm team old running back. Let's go. So here's the...
10:01Oh, Saquon Barkley? TMC and Barkley. Look, again, half PPR.
10:04They're the best players on the board. I want running backs here, so give me those guys.
10:08Let me ask you guys a question. Yeah. Because Daniel just said, like, hey, I'm all in on Amarion Hampton.
10:14I'm taking him here. It just kind of creates a unique dynamic for us when we're doing drafts, because I also...
10:20Like, what's... The perfect world is when you're getting a value on a player that you believe in, right?
10:25Correct. So if you're Daniel, and you think Amarion Hampton's got a chance to be there, pick number 26, yeah, you love
10:31the guy, and you're affirming that love by taking him at whatever pick it was overall, but you just took him round two, pick five.
10:38So 15th overall. Is there a part of you that was like, man, you know what?
10:43I'm just going to roll the dice and see if I can get it at 26.
10:47Absolutely. I'm guessing he's probably gone, and we have to talk about Jeremiah Love in one second after you're done here, Daniel.
10:53I'll tell you why, and it's a little bit different, unfortunately, for me.
10:57In these drafts, a lot of the times when we're drafting, we've talked about the players that we like.
11:02So I know that by the time it gets to 26, I think if I was not in a draft with a
11:08bunch of really smart people that I really liked, and it was just like me and a bunch of friends, I would
11:14roll the dice, see if I could get him at 26.
11:17Okay. But I felt like in this draft, he would come off the board before.
11:21Like, if I wandered him, I had to take him there.
11:24All right, let's take a breath here, because like four notable picks just took place here.
11:29All right, let's talk about it. Since Mike took Saquon Barkley, I'm just going to run off the board, and then we can talk about it.
11:36Drake London at pick eight in the second round, AJ Brown, then Kenneth Walker rounds out the second round to start the third.
11:42Here we go. Malik Neighbors. Now we're talking. Jeremiah Love, Josh Jacobs, and Rashi Rice.
11:47Those are four big names that all have some flags around them.
11:50So let's start at the top. Yep. Which one do you think is the biggest one?
11:54I mean, I would rather talk about Jeremiah Love.
11:57The most notable one is Jeremiah Love. We can go in order.
12:00Just like, we all agree that round three, pick one in a 10-team league is about fair for Malik Neighbors?
12:06Yeah, I think that's fine. Good value. Back up my board.
12:09He's going to be ready for week one, most likely, barring his setback.
12:12So even if he's a little limited, look, if he's not pretty much ready to go, he's not going to be on the field.
12:19So if he's out there, his role, when they're throwing the football, he's going to be on the field.
12:24I feel pretty good about it. Agreed. So I would say we're all here.
12:28Like the analysis is, Roger, that looks good. Yep.
12:31Jeremiah Love is where it gets fascinating. And I think Mike is going to have a strong opinion that I think would
12:37vary from people that are in the same boat.
12:39Jeremiah Love, for those that missed it over the weekend, has been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, according to Adam Schefter,
12:45which is going to keep him out for the rest of this preseason.
12:49And it's not a guarantee that he plays week one for the Arizona Cardinals.
12:53So Mike, Matt Bowen takes him round three, pick two.
12:56That's close to where he is going already. He seems unbothered by it.
12:59Mike, I believe you are strongly unbothered by this as well.
13:02I wouldn't say I'm unbothered about the injury. I want him to be healthy.
13:06I'm worried that he could be an active week one, and I have him on a lot of teams.
13:11So I don't want that to happen, obviously. However, it does not seem like it's going to extend further than zero to one game.
13:18So I'm not super worried about it. Also, if you saw him before the injury in that game, I was already worried like, uh-oh, ADP is going up.
13:26Like he looks awesome. He looks exactly what I was hoping for.
13:29I think that if I can get more of a discount on him now in drafts, I'm going to be ecstatic about
13:35that because I was already kind of expecting maybe a little bit of a slow start.
13:40Maybe the first few weeks they worked Tyler Algier more into it, and then you're going to see Love be a difference
13:46maker, and his role is just going to expand to the point where he's a 20-plus touch guy a week.
13:51So that's my expectation. I'm still all in on Jeremiah Love.
13:54Obviously, I moved him down slightly in my overall rank.
13:57Just a couple spots because he might miss a game.
14:00That's a variable here. And we talked about how that tier of running backs is so deep.
14:05So at the end of the day, I think where he went here, he goes right ahead of Josh Jacobs.
14:10You know, what are the running backs you have?
14:13Brees Hall, we'll talk about in a second. Javante Williams.
14:16Travis Etienne. Or Travis H. Darn it. Put a coin in the jar.
14:19You'd be poor. Put it in the jar. Spending all your money?
14:22We need like a buzzer or something. Yeah, we do.
14:25We'll get one. I can get like a dog shocker.
14:28No, I don't want that. Yeah, like a cramp simulator.
14:31What is with the punishment suggestions this year? We got to rip our hair off our legs.
14:35We're getting shocked. I'm watching a lot of indie wrestling this offseason, and they do some seriously hardcore stuff.
14:41Someone's going to pitch like that red punching bag thing.
14:44It just like punches you in the face. Man up, Mike, will you?
14:47Yeah, it's ridiculous. But anyway, I think where he's going here is still fine.
14:51I liked him more than this. Now he's kind of fallen a little bit.
14:55Yeah. So I'm okay with this vicinity of the draft.
14:58So I wanted to give you guys some data.
15:00There's a gentleman named Matt Preventure, who is a longtime New England Patriots team doctor, has multiple Super Bowl wins, is a member of the Patriots staff.
15:08So obviously this guy has dealt with this as close as you can.
15:11He also is a huge fantasy football junkie and has a website, thepredictors.com.
15:15They have all sorts of data. Him and his team have compiled decades of data on athletes facing the ailments across the board.
15:21Certainly high ankle sprain is very run of the mill.
15:24And he told me, I asked him, I said, do you have any data on this from last night?
15:29And his data shows that the average timeout for a running back with the high ankle sprain is 4.09 weeks.
15:35Now, upon return, they saw less than a 1% drop in snaps, less than a 2% drop in rushing yards, and less
15:41than 13% drop in rushing touchdowns after the injury.
15:43So like mostly the same player upon coming back, the single most important thing is that you don't rush the player back.
15:50Right. But the average time missed is 4.09 weeks.
15:52So if we go four weeks from right now, and let's call it yesterday because, of course, that was the day that
15:58Adam Schefter tweeted this, it would get us to September 13th, which is Sunday of week one of the NFL season.
16:04So even if Jeremiah Love is out for week one, historical data suggests he probably won't miss much more than that, and
16:10he might be available for week one. So I initially was nervous, and I was like, how can you draft this guy?
16:16I think the way it impacts draft strategy, and we'll see whether Matt Bowen agrees, is I had a draft last night
16:22and took Jeremiah Love in the back end of the second round, and I made sure that I got Tyler Algier.
16:28Yeah, I moved him up slightly, and I ran an update of my rankings yesterday.
16:32I moved Algier up just a little bit in that tier of insurance running backs because keep in mind, too, James Conner
16:38hasn't been practicing, and we don't even know if he'll be on the 53 at this point.
16:43We'll see. Trey Benson, he's been hurt. So it might be Tyler Algier and Bam Knight week one.
16:48And that's going to mean Tyler Algier might push for 16 to 20 carries plus a couple targets in that game.
16:54I'm back on the clock here, my friends. That was a long one, but I want to get there.
16:59No, it's all you know. It's very worth talking about.
17:02I have Omari in Hampton and Jackson Smith in Jigba.
17:05For what it's worth, if Malik Nabors or Rashi Rice, who just went off in the last five picks, fell to me,
17:11I would have absolutely taken either one of those wide receivers here in the third.
17:15I'd love them as a wide receiver, too, especially for your squad.
17:18I don't really want to do the tight end early.
17:21Haven't had one come off the board yet. Both Trey McBride and Brock Bowers are there, and I'd like to hold off
17:27on Brees Hall a little bit longer. So I'm going to go with my next highest ranked wide receiver.
17:32Unfortunately, he had a teammate that left this preseason week one game in Jordan Tyson, but I love Chris Olave.
17:38Going to grab him as my wide receiver, too, here.
17:41Yeah. Go ahead. I'll say, yeah, the Jordan Tyson injury is a huge bummer.
17:45He, of course, was impacted by this hamstring injury or a hamstring injury during the pre-draft process.
17:49It's now another hamstring injury. Very unclear if it's a recurrence, if it's the other hamstring.
17:54But just a huge bummer for a guy who, by all accounts, was lighting up Saints training camp.
17:59I was the second person to take a tight end is Cam Wolf took Trey McBride right ahead of me, taking Brock Bowers.
18:05I have that order flipped, but it's like 1.01.
18:08Yep. I don't waste too much energy arguing with people that have Trey McBride ahead of Brock Bowers.
18:13These guys are in a tier unto themselves. I now have Derek Henry, Puka Nakua, Brock Bowers.
18:17Yes, Brock Bowers is probably a little better in PPR standards.
18:20I mean, scoring, excuse me, but it's tight ends.
18:23Like, the difference between those top two tight ends in pretty much every format, except for formats that give you, like, gigantic
18:29bonuses if, like, your first name is Tyler or Colston.
18:32I still think the gap between Brock Bowers and Trey McBride is pretty notable over the rest of the field.
18:37It's a dynamite start. Yeah. Oh, wow. Thank you.
18:40It's a good group. I mean, you'll ruin it.
18:42Like, we know that. Yes, there we go. Thank you, Mike.
18:45Give it time. Give it time. There we go.
18:48Josh Jacobs was interesting to me by EK, by the way.
18:51Josh Jacobs went 30th overall. We'll see. You know, Adam Schefter mentioned Josh Jacobs when he was talking about these players who might be facing suspension.
18:58And Josh Jacobs, I would say this. I'm not trying to sort of rank the severity of incidents off the field.
19:04I just feel as though the coverage of Josh Jacobs and what we know about the incident, the allegations, was the highest profile compared to what we've seen.
19:12We saw the picture from Puka Nakua. None of these guys are excused in any way, shape, or form.
19:17It does feel like something has come down the pike here with Josh Jacobs.
19:21There's no two ways about that. That puts a big cloud on trying to figure out where the right spot to draft him in fantasy football is, unfortunately.
19:29It's really not fun talking about these things. No, it's not.
19:32Right? So we're not trying to be crass in any way, shape, or form.
19:36Not at all. We're trying to hopefully give you some perspective on fantasy football that you understand is not trying to make
19:42any sort of light of the situations. Yeah. And by the way, you mentioned this earlier Friday.
19:46There was, I believe, four suspensions announced, James Pierce being the biggest one of the four.
19:51But I was just kind of waiting because they were rolling in from Adam.
19:55They just kept going and going and going. I was like, when are these fantasy relevant ones coming?
20:00And they did not come yet. So we're going to keep an eye on it.
20:04After Field took Brock Bowers, we had George Pickens, then Nico Collins, Tedderola McMillan, Brees Hall by Eric Moody there, second pick of the fourth round.
20:11And Field, you ended up going with a running back here as well.
20:15Yeah. Yeah, Javante Williams, who I do feel like is a really classic half PPR, non-PPR player.
20:19He's going to impact the passing game as well.
20:22But the upside for Javante Williams is the possibility for 12 rushing touchdowns.
20:25Yep. Right? This offense is going to be awesome.
20:28Minimal competition, four carries. Behind him in the backfield are two inexperienced draft picks from last year in Jaden Blue and Phil Maffa.
20:34Javante, really solid player last year. I thought the Brees Hall pick was fascinating by Eric Moody.
20:39This could be a non-injury, right? We've seen guys leave training camp one day and be back the next day, a few days later.
20:46It might be significant. But until we add that information, I thought it was a reasonable roll of the dice there by Eric Moody.
20:52I agree with that. All right. You know what?
20:55Come on. Daniel's up. How about this? This is why you do these things.
20:59Uh-oh. Jets running back Brees Hall suffered a strained groin today, according to head coach Aaron Glenn.
21:03Quote, I don't think it was a big deal, Glenn told reporters.
21:07I guess that guy's never had a strained groin then before, huh?
21:10Dang it. That joke. Oh, how is it not a big deal?
21:13Just move on. You're on the clock, man. All right.
21:16All right. So it sounds like Eric Moody got good value there.
21:20Yeah. He got that push alert. That's right. Just before we did.
21:23And he pounced. He pounced. Yeah. That's definitely good value.
21:26He certainly could have been on our radar a little bit earlier in this draft.
21:30So good value there. Oh, a couple of picks in a row here.
21:33Yep. Yep. I went with, so after Field took Javante Williams, Kyron Williams.
21:37Yeah. Then Kyron Williams came off the board. Excuse me.
21:40I took Devonta Smith as my flex. David Presley, our producer to Cam Scadaboo.
21:44Zay Flowers to you, Mike Clay. Yeah. That feels like good value as well.
21:48I agree with that. That's the end of a tier.
21:50I feel like at wide receiver. Depends how you feel about some of these other guys like a Devonta Adams or Lad McConkie, who Losa just took.
21:58But T. T. Higgins probably in that conversation, but feels like Zay Flowers, who was seventh in fantasy points at receiver last year.
22:04And that was with Lamar Jackson, not healthy for a chunk of the season.
22:08So I feel pretty good about that. I'm going to miss bad McDonkey for what it's worth.
22:13Right. Yes. Well, he's going to be so good.
22:15No, no. He's going to be good this year.
22:18Field. We are speaking into existence. He's on my team and he has a bad week.
22:22It's back. That's OK. All right. One bad week.
22:25Up again. Yeah. Back on the clock again. All right.
22:27So since you had that pick, Travis Achan came off the board of Mecca Abuka, Lad McConkie, like you talked about.
22:33Liz Losa also took Colston Loveland, Devonta Adams, and T.
22:36Higgins to EK. Mike, you are back up. Before you go, Mike, can I just say a player that I've been very, to quote Mike, very high on.
22:44Very high on. That I'm starting to get a little more worried about.
22:47Uh-oh. Not going to lie. It pains me to say so, Mecca Abuka.
22:51The injury. For that reason. We've gotten to the point.
22:54There was a report on Friday from Rick Stroud, who's been covering the team for a long time.
22:59He does an awesome job. Yep. Says the Buccaneers are very optimistic about a Mecca Abuka playing in week one.
23:04All right. That part of it is good. Right?
23:07Yeah. I also think training camp is pretty valuable for him.
23:10And this is not a situation where, like, Jeremiah Love is so, so, so talented.
23:14And they took him third overall. If Jeremiah Love is healthy, he's going to have a notable role.
23:19I'm not saying Mecca Abuka won't. But this is also a wide receiver room where there's now a three-week window for other
23:25young players to step in and, like, earn a bit more trust there.
23:29I'm getting a little nervous. And toes. Not going to lie.
23:32Toe injuries scare me for a wide receiver. It's fair.
23:35I had him all the way to wide receiver 11.
23:37He'll be pushing down a little bit. Okay. Yeah, you were higher than us on Abuka.
23:42So, interesting. I'm a little lower. I haven't moved him yet.
23:45How high are you? Just... I'm not high at all.
23:48You know who I'm high on? Quinshawn Judkins. Oh!
23:50Or my flex. I'm going running back, running back, running back with three.
23:54Well, I shouldn't say that. I didn't go in order.
23:56But three of my first five picks. So, I'm locking myself into a running back and a flex.
24:01And the reason is this. I have two receivers.
24:04I didn't love... I feel like the tier upcoming of receivers is pretty deep.
24:08So, I could wait a little bit there. I thought about Tyler Warren.
24:11Yeah. Love him. But the teardrop after Judkins is massive.
24:14He was the last running back in my tier.
24:17It's Bucky Irving next, who has his own share of question marks with what could be a three-headed backfield committee.
24:22So, to get Judkins here, again, half PPR. So, he gets a boost here.
24:26This isn't a guy that's going to catch 50 footballs, right?
24:29He might catch 25 or 30. But in half PPR, that doesn't ding him as much.
24:34This guy could lead the NFL in carries this year.
24:36As long as Cleveland is sort of competitive. He's going to handle a big share of the workload for them.
24:42So, Judkins is a player I like. One of the youngest running backs in the NFL.
24:46To get him as my third running back at this point feels like great value.
24:51By the way, we are 46 picks in. Josh Allen's still on the board.
24:54Still on the board. You know where that's not going to happen?
24:58Well, it wasn't with you. No, no, no. I just mean it's not going to happen.
25:02Yes. When we're doing drafts elsewhere, Josh Allen will have assuredly been drafted.
25:06And again, sometimes the response to that might be, well, then why should I care about this draft?
25:11But you should learn from... Then you do it.
25:13Just wait for the quarterback. Wait. Then we're doing it for a reason because we know we're going to get great value later at quarterback.
25:20You don't need... Let someone take Josh Allen in the second round.
25:24That's great for you. Cam Wolf listening to the podcast just took Josh Allen, obviously, as a part of the pitch.
25:29At this point, it's fine. But I'm sure it's totally good value.
25:33Allen goes in round two and then Drake May starts going in round three and Jaden Daniels.
25:37That's great for you. Lamar Jackson. Right. You're going to get great value later.
25:41Get all the talent at the other positions and you're going to be in a good spot.
25:46All right. So I'm up now. And a reminder, my pick so far, Derrick Henry, Javante Williams, Pukab Nukua, and Brock Bowers.
25:52So I have two starting running backs. Still need a wide receiver flex.
25:56Not going to take a quarterback here. We've reached these.
25:58The highest ranked wide receivers that are next up on the board.
26:02Terry McLaurin, Jalen Waddell, Roma Dunze, Jameis and Williams, DJ Moore, Luther Burding, Cardinal Tate.
26:06I don't think any of those guys, though. Like, Terry McLaurin's best season was because he mashed with 14 touchdowns.
26:12Jalen Waddell might be a lower volume, but bigger play upside guy.
26:15Jameis and Williams, we know. Yep. Talked about it.
26:17He's going to average, you know, whatever. 19 yards a catch.
26:20I like this tier more than you do. No, I'm not saying I don't like it.
26:25I'm just saying none of these guys. Well, I'm not as high as you are on these tiers.
26:30I'll stop that now. More so just like I don't think any of these guys are strong bets for 95 catches this
26:36year, but I'm going to go with the one that I think might be the strongest, DJ Moore.
26:41OK, I think who are in the opener. I think that is the close.
26:45If you were going to say 95 catches, I agree with you.
26:48DJ Moore is the one that can make that happen.
26:51So DJ Moore and the Bills made their debut at Highmark Stadium, a beautiful new facility that Bills will call home.
26:57Their first regular season game will be against Daniel Dopp's Detroit Lions week.
27:00That's right. Thursday night football. DJ Moore had three catches for 61 yards.
27:04There's going to be a bit of everybody eats up in Buffalo, but DJ Moore had his best seasons of his career playing in that Joe Brady offense.
27:12He returns there. I can't believe you didn't say solidified, locked in Amonra St.
27:16Brown 2.0. Luther Burden was the best bet to get 90 catches.
27:19Do you have any thoughts on him, Mike? No, I'm not.
27:22I can't say anything about him because Bears fans are furious about the Bears fans.
27:26Yeah, I think Bears fans and people that are just convinced that there's no downside to Luther Burden, which seems to be fun.
27:33They like fun, Mike. They want to be the eternal optimist, and you're just trying to be a realist in this situation.
27:39You're not actually negative. You're just saying like, hey, I'm being more realistic.
27:42I have a wide receiver 27. But yeah, I mean, I just haven't anointed the guy yet.
27:47Wide receiver 27 is still really good. The 26 wide receivers that are before him are probably all unbelievable wide receivers.
27:53It's the deepest position in the game. It's like the TLDR of the video that Mike was attributed to Mike.
27:58Yes. I don't know if you tweeted it yourself.
28:01I think it just used your handle was included.
28:03I would, but I just didn't have to. I think sort of the TLDR, the short version, and Mike, you can correct me if I'm wrong.
28:10It's been like a week, so I kind of forgot what you said.
28:14It's basically like, you know, there are people that are currently drafting Luther Burden at what we believe could be like the
28:20absolute apex of his value, of his upside. Yeah.
28:23And so like if you have, this is somebody who we project maybe is going to be, you know, you have him
28:29as wide receiver 27 and people are buying him as wide receiver 14.
28:32Of course you wouldn't agree with that. Yeah. I mean, he's going in the fourth round of 12 team leagues.
28:38Like look at a consensus league, 12 team leagues, competitive leagues across the industry, a draft Kings best ball, which we do quite often for people.
28:45He's going in the fourth round. I mean, is that, is that not simple?
28:49That's simple. Fourth round for a guy that has four career 10 point games and three of them were with Roma Dunes,
28:55a sideline, a guy who disappeared in the playoffs last year, a guy who's hurt right now.
29:00Not going to play in the pre. I mean, it's a little rich for me.
29:04That's all I'm saying. The guy's going around him.
29:07Like for example, a comparison I made Garrett Wilson, who with really shaky quarterback plays, but a target monster, a terrific player.
29:13And now has Geno Smith, who, again, I know it's not a standout quarterback in their prime, but a guy that has
29:19supported a lot of fantasy success from his past catchers over during his time in Seattle.
29:23It feels like a better situation for a more solidified star player in the NFL.
29:27I'm sorry. I like I've got pushback on saying that Garrett Wilson is a star.
29:31That guy is outstanding. Yeah, he's one of the best talents at wide receiver in the NFL.
29:36Maybe we'll finally see his ceiling this season. So I for me, it's just I think we're often guilty of looking at
29:42a player's ceiling and not their floor or not the risk that is involved with the player.
29:47And Luther Burden is not a sure thing. Good for you.
29:50You know, that is not a sure thing with your chest.
29:53Yeah. Do you guys know that that that photo that mean that often goes around?
29:57It's a carport that has like a rundown house with a carport.
30:01With like a Ferrari. Yeah. I think people feel as though like Garrett Wilson is the Ferrari metaphorically and the car and
30:07the house is the Jets quarterback situation. I actually I feel if Geno Smith.
30:11Eric Moody is taking his time. Is your starting quarterback.
30:13He's milking the clock. He's probably chatting it up right now.
30:16That's why. Oh, wow. Oh, OK. I'm glad. So we'll pause for a second.
30:20I'm actually on the clock. So I'll filibuster. Go ahead.
30:23He just took. He just took DeAndre Swift. He did.
30:26At the end of Friday shows like when he comes off the board on Monday.
30:30Talk about it. Courtney Cronin was doing a radio interview.
30:33She covers the Bears for us here at ESPN amongst many other things.
30:36Great job. And she said she was talking about how he has been the most consistent player in Bears training camp.
30:42I took it upon myself to reach out to some folks within the Bears to see their assessment.
30:47Agreement. OK. A lot of agreement. Really? Yeah. People.
30:50A lot of impressive reviews from DeAndre Swift. I mean, that's good to hear.
30:54But at the same time, I'm like, not surprising.
30:56OK. Well, he's like, I feel like he's trying to give Eric.
30:59Gosh. Like, what did you expect here? Like, no, he's like, he stinks now.
31:03Like what? OK. Or he's like an elite player now.
31:06Like, I know. Like, you don't think that out of a 90 player roster, a veteran running back is better.
31:12Like, do you think he's going to be better at football this year?
31:15Like, he's 27. I mean, that made me feel better about him.
31:19Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm crazy here. I mean, it's better.
31:22I guess it's better than hearing like he lost a step or something.
31:25I guess. No doubt. I don't know. But that's not new.
31:28I don't know. Who would you have? If I had pitched that, again, that quote, I heard that quote from Courtney.
31:34I heard the back end of it. He's been the most consistent player in training camp so far this season.
31:40Sounds like him. I would have been like, I don't know.
31:43Like, it's one of those quotes that it's sort of like a player on the rise.
31:47That's how I interpret it. And it's like, oh, you know, like Colston Loveland or like Joe Tooney, their guard.
31:53That would be the one. The most consistent guy be like a seasoned veteran.
31:57Like, that would make more sense to me. I would say this.
32:00I wouldn't take DeAndre Swift. And I know Daniel can sympathize with this.
32:03You're an Eagles fan. You can sympathize with it as well.
32:06I wouldn't say DeAndre's career has always been defined by consistency.
32:10Agreed. It has in fantasy output. He had like almost the exact same numbers like three years in a row.
32:15Like, he absolutely was one of those guys. Why'd you be in your Cheerios this morning?
32:20I was going to say. No, I woke up and chose violence.
32:23I mean it as a compliment to him. Like, I feel like he's been more of a floor player than maybe he gets credit for.
32:30I thought it was notable. I thought it was not.
32:33He was what, RB15 last year? Like, we have him lower than that actually by a little bit.
32:38I'm going to draft. To America, who's out there listening right now.
32:41All right, mister, I love Kyle Menungay. All right, so you dropped him.
32:44You're right, Menungay, by the way. It's the sixth round, Mike.
32:48It's too early on Kyle Menungay. My point being, if you like Menungay, well, then I guess you don't like Swift.
32:53Menungay banged up over the weekend. Adam Schefter tweeting that it sounds like he's going to be fine.
32:58Daniel and I more impressed with the DeAndre Swift nugget from Courtney than Mike was.
33:03How high did you move him in your rankings?
33:05RB2. Really high. RB2? Yeah. Good. I'm just, I mean.
33:08Money where your mouth is. Man, I. You didn't draft him.
33:11I'm just saying. I didn't have the chance to.
33:13I just, man, I don't know. There are certain things that make me feel better about drafting a player, and that would
33:19be one of them, and so I'll leave it at that.
33:22After DeAndre Swift's field to Roma Dunze, then Jalen Waddle, and I took David Montgomery.
33:27Part of the reason why I decided to go with David Montgomery is because I did the thing that I talked about on the show the other day.
33:34I waited, and I took Jadarian Price as my RB2.
33:37You got all, you got a pair of very half PPR running backs.
33:41I sure do. And then David Montgomery, I just wanted to take another safety running back because I waited so long at the position.
33:47Again, my wide receiver should be set with Devonta Smith, Bristol Lave, and Jackson Smith, and Jiggo.
33:52I don't know. What's wrong, Mike? What's wrong? Look at the...
33:55I'm on the clock. Luther Burden is clearly, clearly the highest player.
33:59This is one of those situations where sometimes a guy just stares at you.
34:02Make some good content. He's just sitting at the top of the player pool.
34:06I mean, Carnell Tate's right there. I actually moved Carnell Tate down a little bit because that offense...
34:11Shaky offense. ...not looked very good. Yeah. Yeah. Just a little bit.
34:15You know, we're moving guys around tiers. What else you got on your squad, Mike?
34:19I don't see three running backs, two receivers. They do need a quarterback and tight end, but the tight end tiers right now...
34:25Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I mean, these are my rankings. Yeah, they are.
34:28They are sort of... Look at these receivers. Trash.
34:31I have Corlin Sutton projected just a hair above Burden.
34:33This is a close call. Come on. Do it.
34:36Do it. Yeah. Sometimes you got to go for upside, right?
34:39That's right. You guys know that, like, if I'm a fan of a breakout this year, it's Luther Burden.
34:44And, you know... Yes! I can't believe you did it.
34:47I've always been a Luther Burden fan. Can't believe you!
34:50I've always been a Luther Burden. Clip just this.
34:52Hey, I wrote an article, like, who's going to score more touchdowns?
34:56You did! Luther Burden. Yes. Second on that list.
34:58I mean, you know guys that I'm... He had two touchdowns last year.
35:02We're up on six touchdowns as the projection this year, Mike.
35:05All right, real talk here, though. This would not happen in an industry draft for sure.
35:09Like, he is... Burden wouldn't last this long. I think everyone maybe is listening to me, or maybe it's the injury or whatever.
35:16And I did say this last week. If he starts to fall in drafts, I'll be more interested in Luther Burden.
35:21He has fallen... He never makes it this far.
35:24We are in a 10-team draft. He just went in the sixth round.
35:28In 12-teamers, he's been going in the fourth round.
35:30This was a drop for Luther Burden. So... After Luther Burden.

36:45I just want to say this because we talk about them back-to-back.
36:48Ramondre Stevenson was drafted before Travion Henderson. They went back-to-back.
36:51EK going with the old guard because the Patriots just can't quit in field.
36:55We talked about it. I would say this is that like how they go, I don't...
36:59I always say you got to know your needs once you get to the middle portion of the draft.
37:04Yes. Right? At the beginning, you're stockpiling good players.
37:07Yep. At some point, you graduate from stockpiling good players to, as best you can, still collecting good players but also knowing what you need.
37:14If you drafted two high-variance running backs at the very top of the board, you're rolling the dice.
37:19Maybe you're not sold on Jeremiah Love or you're not sold on Saquon Barkley bouncing back this year.
37:24Whoever you describe as two high-variance running backs, maybe you want to take a Ramondre Stevenson where you're like, I just need
37:30a guy that can plug some gaps. If you took a Derrick Henry and a James Cook at the top of the
37:36draft and you're like, these two guys are going to be rock solid this year.
37:40I'm okay with rolling the dice on the high upside player.
37:43Then it's Travion Henderson. Right? I have... You have to rank one of them higher than the other.
37:48I have ranked Ramondre Stevenson ahead of Travion Henderson because I am afraid that they're going to be more than a handful
37:54of weeks where Henderson's role is completely to be determined and he ends up with 6.2 fantasy points, even if his efficiency is okay.
38:01Yeah. It's just... Here's the thing. Stevenson bothers me because he wasn't really startable last year.
38:05And I don't know if that's going to change.
38:08I don't think at age 28 his role is going to expand.
38:11And last year, when they were healthy throughout the regular season, Henderson out-carried him last year.
38:16So I know it changed in the playoffs. I hear what you're saying.
38:19I just don't... I just don't... I'm not interested in Stevenson.
38:22I have a hard time... The guy averaged nine carries and two targets a game last year.
38:27Listen, we have said this many times. And we said this last week when we were talking about these players.
38:33We're not describing them as targets. We're just saying, when you're making the decision between these two players on the board, here
38:39is how I am breaking that tie. All right, I'm taking my...
38:42I'm not telling you you're wrong. While you look through this really quickly, Field, I'm going to catch people up.
38:47Seventh round had a little bit of a quarterback run.
38:50Liv Loza took Jaden Daniels in the first pick.
38:53Then Cortland Sutton. Mike Evans. Mike, you took Lamar Jackson with the fourth pick of the seventh round.
38:58David Presley took Parker Washington. I took then Drake May.
39:01So three quarterbacks within the first six picks there.
39:03This wouldn't happen in most drafts, but this is where we're at with where we are.
39:07I believe it's Drake, Drake Maye. Drake, Drake May May.
39:10You're right. And then DK Metcalf comes off the board and Field.
39:14Doth mine eyes deceive me? I think that's French for...
39:16Did you just take Christian Watson? That is exactly what I said.
39:20That checks out. He's a Watson guy. I'm a Watson guy.
39:23Yes. I don't know. I mean, like, if you look at the other receivers that are available at this point, Michael Pittman Jr., Alec Pierce, Marvin Harrison Jr.
39:30I'm buying a man. I am buying Christian Watson this year.
39:34I thought he was awesome down the stretch. I understand what the mitigating factors are.
39:38I wasn't ready to take a quarterback here, even with Jalen Hurts still on the board.
39:42I just... I'm punting on quarterback until later. I've already got my tight end.
39:46Feel good about this one. I am fascinated to see if Matt LaFleur just narrows the target tree this year.
39:52Because if he does, it's going to be a big deal for all three receivers.
39:56Jaden Reed, of course, more of a PPR guy.
39:58He's dinged a little bit in this value. But Christian Watson boosted in this format because he's going to be a lower
40:04catch, more of a big play touchdown sort of guy.
40:07So that helps him. And, of course, Matthew Golden as well.
40:10I saw a good tweet over the weekend. You guys will probably appreciate this, which was from...
40:15Let me get the name because it was funny.
40:17Stay in front. Jonathan Brooks. Gosh, sometimes... Why are we...
40:20Why do we do this? I would like to say this really quickly while Fields is looking forward.
40:25There it is. All. Oh, dang it. Now, when you go to your timeline, it doesn't just show...
40:30It shows only your tweets, not retweets as well.
40:33Twilly Allen, who says, We need to start using the first initials of their names to differentiate them.
40:38Oh, I saw that. Yes. Which was quoting a tweet from Peyton Hallis that said, Quote, LaFleur says love will miss a week with a sore ankle.
40:45This is going to be a long and confusing season.
40:48Of course, Matt LaFleur, Coach's Jordan Love. Jordan Love.
40:50Mike LaFleur, Coach's Jeremiah Love. It's a problem. The joke here, obviously.
40:54The first initial doesn't help either. Jay Love doesn't help.
40:56That was the joke. M LaFleur says Jay Love.
40:59Is that not going to be great? By the way, we talked about Eric Moody going with a high floor, consistent DeAndre Swift last round.
41:06This round, he goes with one of the biggest variables at running back right now.
41:10It's early at this point in the draft in Jonathan Brooks, who now Chuba Hubbard dealing with a hamstring.
41:15So we might go into week one with Brooks as the clear lead back in Carolina with Trevor Achan.
41:21Hey! As his backup, of course. The brother of Travis Achan.
41:24Got it. Yes. Cousin of Marcus Achan. Devon Achan.
41:26Reep. No. We got Daniel for a second there.
41:29Dang it! All right. So since we had that, I do want to say, you had mentioned when we were talking about
41:35Christian Watson, you said this is a tier. I think that's a great way to look at this group.
41:40Because most of these, Michael Pittman Jr. notwithstanding. Alec Pierce, big upside, but some variable question marks for sure.
41:45Christian Watson, you had the same thing. Marvin Harrison Jr., tons of upside, but tons of question marks also.
41:51Matthew Golden, potential post-type sleeper, but some question marks.
41:53Michael Wilson, we've seen it. Yeah, these guys all still available.
41:56Brian Thomas Jr., like is there a chance he could revitalize?
41:59There is a bunch of high upside guys here, but I'm not sure you can count on any of them week to week.
42:05It's sort of like taking that dart throw here in the middle of the draft to see which one could kind of fit your squad.
42:12Along those lines, I went for boring with my ninth round pick.
42:16What'd you do with that one? I took, I'm sorry, eighth round pick.
42:19Tony Pollard, non-PPR. Pollard just continues to look like the clear cut.
42:23But he's the guy. One in Tennessee, I have some question marks about the offensive line, but the running back's available right
42:29now, just so you have some perspective. Yes. Jalen Warren, Rico Dowdle, Kenny Gainwell, who we like a lot, but he's offset
42:35a bit by the fact that it's half PPR versus full PPR.
42:38Chuba Hubbard, J.K. Dobbins, and Daniel's son, Kyle Munoon guy.
42:41That's right. Moon. Moon guy. There's been TyJ Spears hype that it might be more of like an equal distribution in that backfield.
42:47But my expectation is that even if that's true, it's still Tony Pollard is the lead rusher.
42:52Same. Spears more involved in the passing game. So that report doesn't move the needle a lot for me.
42:57I think Spears is a good player, but it's going to be a backfield committee there.
43:02I will tell you this. This is the only reason why.
43:05I mean, if TyJ Spears plays way better than him, then it's going to change things.
43:09But Robert Salwa got chewed up last year by Tony Pollard.
43:12I bet you he has a lot of confidence in Tony.
43:15Tony, remember when Salwa was the 49ers DC? Pollard went nuts last year against them.
43:20I bet Robert Salwa is a soft spot for Tony Pollard.
43:23All right. I'm up here and I was debating, like, can I really let Michael Pittman go here?
43:28Fortunately, producer Dave Presley drafted him. So that makes it a little easier for me to go with the other option here,
43:34which is to end this tight end tier. Yes, there's a nice tier and everyone else went.
43:38But I'm going to take the healthy guy of the group.
43:41There's a few good options here. Harold Fannin and then the next tier down because of injuries only.
43:46Tucker Kraft, who said during the weekend he might be limited to open the season.
43:51It sounds like he'll be pretty involved in the throw of the football.
43:54I'm not super concerned. He's been working his way up my rankings as he's gotten healthier.
43:59And of course, George Kittle. I've been drafting a lot recently because he may or may not play week one, but he'll be back pretty soon.
44:06So those guys are on the move a little bit.
44:09But at the end of the day, I'll take a healthy Harold Fannin this late in the draft.
44:14So my starting lineup is, my friends, complete. Let's see it.
44:17What is your starting lineup, Mike? Can we look at it real quick?
44:20Well, maybe there it is. Yeah. Quarterback Lamar Jackson, running backs Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley and Quinn Sean Judkins.
44:26Wide receiver Rasheed Rice, Dave Flowers, Harold Fannin at tight end.
44:29And we have a second flex there. Luther Burden, the third, my guy.
44:32Hashtag my guy. Did you try to do it?
44:35Where's your kicker? Did you try and do a stack or did it just work out that way?
44:40Was it Flowers? Do you ever think? Definitely did that.
44:42Well, I'm not sure if you ever. Some people like doing strategies.
44:46Not in a normal like head-to-head 10-12 team league.
44:48Generally not. I'm just taking the best guy on the board.
44:51But I'll be happy to watch the little extra Baltimore this year.
44:55Absolutely. The draft that we're not playing yet. Field will be happy to watch Derrick Henry run the ball 35 times a
45:01game and not throw the ball as a part of it.
45:04Field, do you have a full starting lineup? I do not.
45:07I have no quarterback. No quarterback yet. But I can show you who I am.
45:11Still waiting on yours. Yeah, why don't we take a quick look at it here?
45:15We're getting into the 10th round. Derrick Henry, Javante Williams, Puka Nakua, DJ Moore, my two wideouts.
45:20Brock Bowers, my starting flex would be Roma Dunze with Christian Watson and Tony Pollard as options.
45:25Some perspective on why I haven't taken a quarterback yet.
45:27QBs still on the board. Jackson Dart, Trevor Lawrence, Dak Prescott, Bo Nix, Brock Purdy, Matthew Stafford, Caleb Williams, Patrick Mahomes.
45:33A lot of good ones. Kyler Murray. I mean, those are good ones still.
45:37A lot of good ones. But I'm just going to sit here and wait now because I'm mad at Eric Carabelle.
45:43Who did Eric Carabelle do? Took Alec Pierce. Alec Pierce.
45:46He has been plummeting in drafts lately because of all the Barry's reports.
45:49Yeah, I mean, it's crazy. The reports from the team are they still expect him ready for week one.
45:55But even if he doesn't play week one, I still feel like this is good value for a guy that we talked about him last week.
46:02I expect him to play an expanded role. And the guy was wide receiver 20 something last year and should see more.
46:08I mean, they paid him a lot of money.
46:10So I did. I agree on this being a good value.
46:13I would just say I know it still feels like football is kind of a long ways away.
46:18We're two weeks from Niners, Rams, being in like, I mean, shoot.
46:22The Patriots and Seahawks play in, like, 20, how many days?
46:25I can't do math. God damn it. I can't do math either.
46:28A little under a month. Yeah. A month? Like, we're.
46:31Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That game. By the way, I was just up on, obviously I was up because he took Alec Pierce.
46:37The post-type sleeper. 23 days. So the Patriots and the Seahawks play.
46:41Okay. Pretty close. It is pretty close. In fact, it is.
46:44So I thought about Jordan Tyson there. And I, you know, we just don't have clarity on the injury situation with him.
46:50So I did not go that direction. I thought about it.
46:53He could still go on IR for a while.
46:55And I still expect him to make a big impact this season when he's out there.
47:00But the question is, when is it going to be early in the season?
47:04Is it going to be midway through the season?
47:06We just don't know that yet. Obviously there's some uncertainty with the fact that he's a rookie as well.
47:11And now he's going to miss time. So I did go with a different potential breakout wide receiver.
47:16A guy that I thought I would not touch at all this year, but he's pretty cheap.
47:21So give me some Matthew Golden. I think the reason, by the way, that the other concern for Jordan Tyson that people
47:27probably have is that even if he does come back early, this is a hamstring problem that's persisted for a long time now.
47:34Right. And it's, hey, you get him back and he has a great week.
47:37You're probably concerned. Could this happen once again? Right.
47:40Especially when it fouls him from college. It's like it's.
47:43That's why people are nervous. That's for sure. But man alive is he talented.
47:47Yes. Oh my gosh. Unbelievably. All right. I took Brian Thomas Jr.
47:50with my last pick. I got a full starting lineup here, my friends.
47:54Drake May is my quarterback. Omari and Hampton. Jadarian Price.
47:56You got your guys. That's right. Those are all my two running backs, my starters.
48:00So I got three nice running backs, I think.
48:03Jackson Smith and Jigba. Chris Olave, Devonta Smith as my flex with Brian Thomas Jr.
48:07I grabbed as my first bench wide receiver. Some upside.
48:10I got Sam Laporta as a starting tight end as well.
48:13Full starting lineup. I really like this squad. I like the way that it came out.
48:17Could have waited even longer. I don't think like I won't be able to do this because I got Drake May so late.
48:24Drake, Drake May may will not last this long in normal drafts.
48:27But I love the way that this has played out for me so far, especially being able to get grab David Montgomery.
48:33After I drafted Jadarian Price, I still stand by.
48:36If you're going to grab him as an RB2, there's enough question mark there.
48:40Maybe make sure you just have depth at that position.
48:42I'm worried about your running backs, but it could work out great.
48:46I mean, they're very I mean, Hampton's probably a little safer.
48:49I did move him down. We talked about that tier, right?
48:52That deep tier of we did running backs. I moved him toward the bottom of that just because it's so close and
48:58there's so much from from the Chargers, so much Keaton Mitchell hype.
49:01And I don't think it's going to like crush O'Marion Hampton, but it's enough to kind of break some ties in that range.
49:08So if we say he's like a good RB2 and then you have Jadarian Price who that's a big question mark right now.
49:14I was literally looking last night just trying to figure out something on Zach Charbonnet.
49:18Like when is he coming back? And sometimes you get nothing and then he's back.
49:22Like, for example, a guy who I really moved down as like not no longer a late round flyer was Chris Bell,
49:28the rookie third round pick for the Dolphins, who's their most talented receiver.
49:32But he was recovering for a torn ACL and there was kind of nothing there.
49:36It was like, guy might not play this season.
49:39And then he's activated out of nowhere. So that doesn't mean he's going to be ready week one, but he's he's back.
49:45That's a good sign because they want to get him on the field and ready to go as soon as possible.
49:51So it could kind of come out of nowhere with Charbonnet as well.
49:54And I'm monitoring that to the extent that people care about offensive line play.
49:58How about Bears left tackle Ozzy Trapillo, who they thought might miss soccer the entire season.
50:02Yeah. And he got activated yesterday. Yesterday, he's got a long ways to go in his recovery still.
50:07But I mean, that's pretty impressive right there. I just drafted my quarterback.
50:11My final my starting lineup is now complete. Oh, let's see it.
50:14This is a classic. Have your cake and eat it too moment for me with the QB because I took Justin Herbert in the 11th round.
50:22Yeah. And I have him as my quarterback six.
50:24My roster is as follows. Justin Herbert, Derek Henry, Javante Williams, Puka Nakua, DJ Moore, Brock Bowers, Roma Dunze with options like
50:30Christian Watson, Tony Pollard and Chuba Hubbard on the bench.
50:33I like that feel. Yeah. Thanks. Herbert over Jackson Dart.
50:36It's funny. I have a pretty big gap in my rankings between those two, but the projections aren't like massively off.
50:42That's that tier where it's just there's just so many quality options.
50:45So you're saying tiers matter, huh? Tiers always matter.
50:47Have I said otherwise? Was there a point where I was just trying to get that to be reinforced to people?
50:53Yeah, of course. I understand why people want, you know, you know, DK Metcalf versus Terry McLaurin.
50:58Give me a very strong definitive case. Yeah. Look, if I don't take one of the top few quarterbacks, like I feel like Lamar Jackson could.
51:05I mean, he could outscore every other quarterback by 80 points.
51:08Like we've seen that before. If he's on his game, he could do that.
51:12That's why I went a little earlier on quarterback.
51:15But if I miss on those top guys like Allen and Lamar Jackson and Jaden Daniels, even Drake May, I'm happy to wait a long time.
51:22Just like you just did. Sure. Jordan Tyson finally comes off the board in the 10th.
51:26Cam Wolf grabbed him with a fourth pick. I think that's what happens at this point.
51:31If he like we're in the 10th round, look at some of the names that are going to be taken.
51:36So if they don't work out, they don't work out.
51:39Jordan Tyson. I took George Kittle, to be honest.
51:41I mean, honestly, with where I was at second tight end.
51:45Why not? He may be a top five tight end.
51:47He might play in three weeks. Yep. It's crazy.
51:50So with the wide receivers that were available, I already had a starting tight end.
51:54But I got to a point where I'm just looking at these guys and I just think George Kittle is the best player available.
52:01Forget the position. Yeah. Like I just thought he was the best player still on the board.
52:05So even though I already had a tight end.
52:08Totally. I thought, why not go with it? By the way, he was still I know he's 33 now and it's coming off a major injury.
52:15We can't ignore that. But also like he was red hot before he got hurt last year.
52:20He had four 20 point games in his last, I believe, six outings last year.
52:24Yep. And that's big time for tight end. So he was he was crushing it.
52:28What was it? Four games. It was big time.
52:31Big time. Do it again. Big time. I don't know.
52:33The way you said it, it was just like fun.
52:36You're like and it was big time. Big time.
52:39Big time. Mike Lee. Big time. Mike took a player we haven't talked about much.
52:43Let's use this opportunity to do so. Chikori, a.k.a.
52:45Bill Krosky-Meritt was your 10th round pick, Mike. What do you make of this commander's backfield?
52:50I make that I want Krosky-Meritt to take on a larger share of the passing game workload.
52:54And so far, the hype in the offseason is that he's he's acclimating himself.
52:58Well, he was a, you know, a guy who was he was undrafted.
53:02Right. Was he a seventh rounder? Seventh round. Seventh rounder.
53:05Obviously, those guys usually don't do much as rookies, but he did enough that they got rid of Brian Robinson Jr.
53:10And he had a role last year. And by the way, he was effective last year.
53:15I think he averaged about four point six yards per carry, two point two after contact, which is terrific.
53:20So he can already handle a big workload as a ball carrier.
53:24We expect that at least at least half the carries.
53:26But if he can get an uptick, it doesn't have to be a massive target here, but an uptick in passing down work.
53:33He's going to pay this off for sure and can deliver potentially flex value.
53:37So he's my third bench player. I'm happy with that.
53:39OK, there we go. I don't this is it's a backfield.
53:42I haven't targeted much. I don't know that Mike taking him in the 10th round is like an aggressive territory, but I
53:48just have a hard time figuring out whether Bill is actually going to take on some of the duties that would make him fantasy relevant.
53:55Or if we are just headed for Bill's on the field, it's early downs and they're probably going to run the football.
54:02Bill is off the field. It's a passing situation.
54:04You know, Rashad White is probably going to be on the field.
54:07Yep. Yep. I'm sure he'll have a role as well, but I think that would be great for them if JCM kind of breaks out this season.
54:15We got about 10 or so minutes left here.
54:17And I'm just going to take a guy I love and this is too cheap for him.
54:22And honestly, I'd feel good about him as my starter had I not taken Lamar Jackson, but kind of like you and
54:28like George Kittle as like an upside player, maybe trade bait down the road.
54:32I'm going to take Jackson Dart here. I really think he has elite upside.
54:36I'd happy to take him. Can we just talk about this?
54:39I feel like you get to a point emotionally sometimes in drafts where you're like, dang it, I've already drafted that position.
54:45But everyone else now I'm later on in the draft, everyone else that I'm looking at, there's a guy that I just like more than everyone else.
54:53But it's a position that I have already drafted.
54:55How do you like do that emotional hedge to say, you know what?
54:59This is smart. I can do this. Let's just talk about how you guys break down that decision.
55:04Can I give you an example quick of how this worked out for me exceptionally well last year?
55:09And it doesn't always. And sometimes when you take guys late, you could just cut them loose and it doesn't hurt you.
55:15But the upside is this. Last year, I would take my QB one.
55:18And then one of my favorite targets in every draft as my QB two was Drake May.
55:23And that was he was my starter all year.
55:26My number one quarterback. I could trade for a piece at another place.
55:29If like someone had Lamar Jackson, they needed a quarterback.
55:32I could either trade May or my starting quarterback.
55:34And that paid off in a big way. So no doubt about it.
55:38When you get to this point in the draft, you should be looking for those breakout players because that's who's going to win you the league.
55:45So you want to be as a word of advice to you when you're addressing your quarterback room, like during meetings over
55:51the next couple of weeks, you got to go by first or last name.
55:55You can't just say Jackson because you have Lamar Jackson.
55:58That's true. That's confusing. That's true. Thank you for telling me that.
56:01That'd be a good team name. Lamar Jackson Dart.
56:04Yeah, I like that. That is my team name now because I got both guys, right?
56:08As Field just pointed out. How good is that?
56:11I ended up going with Rashad White, the commander's running back.
56:14I like Rashad White a little bit more than I like JCM.
56:17We'll see what that backfield though breaks out as.
56:20We're in the 11th round here. Yeah, but I got a guy.
56:23Yes, he did not go that I am about to take right here.
56:27I've been hoping would slide to me. That was very busy during his team's preseason game.
56:31Oh, John Stribble. Yeah, he was way up. Wide receiver, San Francisco 49ers, who again, everybody else on the team is either old or hurt.
56:38Yes. Yes. And he had seven catches in the preseason.
56:41Yes, both. A lot of them are both. Again, this is upside city.
56:44There's plenty of examples of guys flashing in the preseason and us overdoing it.
56:4811th round is not overdoing it, in my opinion.
56:51He was a 33rd pick in the draft. It was a much discussed 33rd pick.
56:55He was, I know that there are those that don't believe players rise or fall during the draft process.
57:00It's just the media catching up with the league.
57:03I feel pretty darn confident that Sean Stribble was a late riser in the pre-draft process.
57:07He was awesome for Ole Miss in the playoffs.
57:10Kind of helped boost his candidacy. Had a really good pre-draft process.
57:13Ran 436. Like 206 pounds. He's huge. Mack Jones calls him the flying Hawaiian.
57:17Ooh. He's from Hawaii. Yeah. Um, and, uh, Brock Purdy's been very complimentary of him and he was very busy.
57:22Now you could make the case if he's so good, why was he playing with backups in that first preseason game?
57:28I do think some of these guys, even if they project to have a decent role, like need to get some exposure.
57:34Right. Right. Like he's never played an NFL game preseason or otherwise.
57:38It's probably useful to have him on the field for some of this action.
57:41I know you've had football reps, but there's just a difference between like, Hey, I mean, even if it's preseason, get out
57:48there and experience the game a little bit. That's common for rookies.
57:51Yeah. A little time here left. So we're going to keep, uh, all right.
57:55Let's recap really quickly. The 11th round Liz Lowe took Trevor Lawrence, Jaden Reed, then Travis Kelsey came off the board.
58:01Mike, you took Jackson Dart. Like we talked about Dak Prescott came off the board after that.
58:05I took Rashad white, Travis Hunter. We haven't talked about him very often in fantasy drafts.
58:10Dejan Stribling field. You took him. Then Dallas Goddare, Brock Purdy and Bo Nick.
58:14So this is where we're getting that late quarterback run.
58:16Everyone that was waiting at the spot. I love that.
58:19After taking a second quarterback to kind of start sometimes.
58:22And I'm not saying that's the case here. You were ahead of the run professionals, but sometimes like you could take a second quarterback, like an upside play.
58:30And it kind of puts some people that don't have one in panic mode.
58:34Yep. Like, oh no, it's drying up. It's getting thin.
58:36I got to start clicking. And then everyone starts taking quarterbacks.
58:39And that's great news because then that frees up skilled players for you.
58:43I took a legitimately high upside player in the 12th round here that I think is really interesting.
58:48I drafted him in a slow draft last night.
58:50Rashid Shahid. I like it. He's just, you know, sadly, it probably would take an injury for him to become a weekly fantasy asset.
58:57But if something happens to JSN or Cooper Cup, I got $17 million a year this offseason.
59:02I expect him to be ahead of Cup in the priority order for that offense when they're calling plays.
59:07And remember, this is a guy that had a, what, a 20% target share at times with the Saints.
59:12So they can feature him if they want to.
59:15And again, they paid him like they're going to feature him.
59:18If they don't now, what are you doing? For a team that was that tight, the Seahawks began the offseason with a ton of salary cap space.
59:25The Seahawks also had a ton of players that needed to either be re-signed or they need to reinvest it.
59:31Devin Witherspoon, Leonard Williams, Abe Lucas. Like, they've got a Charles Cross.
59:34They've got all these young players that are about to get paid.
59:38So that cap space number seemed larger than it actually was.
59:41The reason I bring that up is them reinvesting Rashid Shahid is like they have a finite number of resources and they use a legitimate amount on Shahid.
59:48I like Rashid Shahid. I'm with you on that.
59:51Cam Wolf took Alvin Kamara after that. I went with Quinton Johnston, then Caleb Williams, Jordan Mason, Matthew Stafford, Jake Ferguson.
59:57Liz Loza grabbed her guy, Jaden Higgins. She has been hyping him up as well.
60:01Yep. Like him a lot. We are now 13.
60:03And Liz just took Tyler Algier. That was very smart of her.
60:07That was really smart. Way later than he's probably going to go.
60:10Yeah. I took him in round 10 last night.
60:13Really? Round 10? Yeah. We'll see. I just had Jeremiah Love.
60:16Yeah. I felt like I had to do it.
60:18I had to pay the premium to get Tyler Algier.
60:21Yeah. You know? Totally fair. And it depends on roster construction.
60:24Like in this case, if I had taken Love, I also have, you know, I have three starting running backs.
60:29So I don't necessarily have to force it because if Love were to miss time, I would have, like, let's say I took Love over Barkley, right?
60:37I would sell a McCaffrey and Judkins in there.
60:39And I could put a receiver like Burden or Golden or someone like that in my flex spot.
60:44I actually took Jordan Mason, who sometimes like you're just monitoring training camp.
60:48And it's like, it's becoming very clear from people that are watching the Vikings that like there's a little bit of a change here.
60:55Jordan Mason actually is going to be their clear lead runner this year.
60:58And I know Aaron Jones will have a role in passing situations, but there's just enough there that in half PPR or
61:04non-PPR, that was enough for me to take a shot here on Mason in the 12th round.
61:09When do you think it's enough for you to just make the pick since you've been on the clock for so long and we're all just waiting?
61:17How about I just take an upside wide receiver?
61:19Dang it! Dang it! Dang it! Dang it! The Browns wanted were Quinton Johnston, just because we've seen him again, late round, high upside guy.
61:26We saw him smash last year. If Justin Herbert does really well this year, there's a chance he does well.
61:32Yeah. And then Casey Concepcion had some fun highlights over the weekend.
61:35It just, he looked very electric out there. First round rookie.
61:38Give me that. Browns didn't always look electric, but there was some fun plays out there for him.
61:43So I just, I wanted him to fall. He was going to be an upside guy.
61:47I took you at the end of the draft.
61:50Hey, dig it. The Browns took another receiver a few minutes later and he's still there.
61:54I mean, he looks pretty good. Sorry, I didn't mean to.
61:57It's okay. No, I got nervous. I know. I almost knocked over the water.
62:01Can we look at our lineups now? Are we going to wrap this thing at the hour or no?
62:07I don't know what we're doing here. That's a great question.
62:10Okay. We're going to finish the draft. We might go just past an hour, but we're going to be real close here.
62:16We're going to rip through them things. I'm going to go another high upside guy.
62:20Why not? He was a first round draft pick.
62:22That's going to be my Kai Lemon. Okay. Yeah.
62:25The Don Tavian Wicks hype and Lemon not being fully healthy makes me a little nervous about Lemon.
62:30Sure. Bam, right on cue. I just took Don Tavian Wicks, Michael.
62:33Look at that. Lemon, Boston, and Wicks. The guys we were all just talking about.
62:37Yep. But yeah, I was already a little nervous about Lemon.
62:40I've talked about this. I talked about it last week a little bit, how hard it was for A.J.
62:46Brown was delivering as a wide receiver one. Devontae Smith kind of a fringe wide receiver two.
62:50And that's a very, very good player. Maybe the best number two receiver in the NFL.
62:55And now you bring in a rookie into that spot, kind of a slot area target.
62:59I don't know if he's going to get the volume to be able to deliver starting caliber numbers.
63:04And then also you're getting the Don Tavian Wicks hype.
63:07And they're probably going to roll out Hollywood Brown in certain packages as well.
63:11So I'm a little nervous about Lemon. But at this point in the draft, again, it's fine.
63:16He's starting to fall a little bit. So this is where you throw darts at those, you know, first, second round rookies.
63:22Speaking of darts, Tristan H. Cockroft throwing a dart at Keaton Mitchell.
63:25Have you guys started seeing him come off the board earlier with any of the hype that we've had?
63:30Or has there not been enough time for that hype to develop into there?
63:34I don't believe so. What I would say, yeah, I hear where Mike's coming from.
63:38The part about Keaton Mitchell that I want to continue to make very clear is it's not so much that Keaton Mitchell is likely to have standalone value.
63:46It's much more about the idea that if Keaton Mitchell plays a legitimate role, it takes a touch of the upside off of Daniel's son.
63:53Unless Mike McDaniel turns him into an elite offense and it's, you know, Hill, Waddle, Mostert, A-Chan, like everyone's just, like Johnnie
63:59Smith, like everyone's just crushing it in that offense.
64:02Maybe, maybe they get that offense to the next level, but it seems a little expensive for me.
64:07He usually is. I think it's fine at this point in the draft.
64:10Yeah. But we will see. Daniel, you're up. It's hard for me to get fired up about like really any pick in round 14.
64:17Well, that's the thing. We're in round 14. I ended up going with Tyler here grabbing a second quarterback.
64:22I thought, why not with everyone that was here?
64:25I love the rest of my lineup. Why don't we take a quick look at it?
64:29Because all that I have left right now is defenses.
64:32I make my last skill pick. Okay, sure. Why don't we?
64:35Yeah. Because I want to, I want to ask a question here and it is, what if, what if Malik Willis is good, is decent even.
64:42What if he's decent this year? And you have three quarterbacks?
64:45Who's his number one? Who's his number one? No, I'm not.
64:48No, I'm not taking my, I'm not taking Malik Willis, but if he is good, probably one or two of his pass catchers are pretty good.
64:55Is that Caleb Douglas or is it Chris Bell?
64:58I'm going Caleb Douglas. The guy who's healthy right now and has earned himself a spot as a starter on the Dolphins
65:04depth chart and looked really good in that first preseason game.
65:07See that catch? Remember, much like Bell, third round rookie, went a lot earlier than we thought he would go in the draft.
65:13But all we care about is what happens when he's on the field.
65:17And he very well could be the Dolphins' number one receiver.
65:20So again, if that offense stinks and he's just getting, you know, two for 24, I just cut him loose at this point.
65:26But what if Malik Willis is good? Remember, the best quarterback in the NFL, sample size aside over the last two years, is Malik Willis.
65:33Jared Goff has. I like this game. It's Malik Willis.
65:36His efficiency, his numbers are ludicrous. I'll bring him up at some point.
65:40But he needs the number one receiver and maybe it's Caleb Douglas.
65:43So give me that 14th round. You have one?
65:46What if we stuck a battery up Mike's butt and put him out in the rain during a thunderstorm?
65:51Do you have a thing that's also not going to come true that you want to say as a what if?
65:57That's a tough act to follow. That's inappropriate and I don't care for it.
66:01What you just said. I don't even have a reaction.
66:03I'm saying I don't really know how to react to that.
66:06Do you want to know what size battery? I don't.
66:09All right. Let's keep moving then, guys. Keep moving here.
66:12We've got some defenses and kickers coming off the board.
66:15It's just defenses and kickers. So why don't we use this time while we're doing defenses and kickers to go through our lineups?
66:21Perhaps that maybe that's a good idea. Maybe that's a great idea.
66:24Who's up first? Why don't we start with Michael?
66:27Okay. Mike, you want to talk to us about your squad?
66:30Sure. I will. Let's do it. My quarterback is one Lamar Jackson.
66:33You've heard of him. He's fantastic. Lamar Jackson. Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, and Quinshawn Judkins.
66:37So I'm feeling fantastic about the running back position.
66:40I just feel like I don't have to stress as much about having a third starting running back.
66:45If you're short there, that's a stressor in fantasy because if a guy gets hurt, you're just like, oh man, I'm in
66:51trouble because it's such a hard position to replace.
66:54But when you have three, even if something happens to say Barkley, I could plug Judkins in there and receiver so deep.
67:00I'll have other options. So I have those three at running back.
67:03That fills out my flex. Of course, Rasheed Rice and Zay Flowers feel like I have two top 15 receivers there.
67:09Harold Fannin is at worst, probably a mid-range tight end one.
67:12So the starting lineup feels pretty good on the bench.
67:15A lot of upside here. A lot of lottery tickets.
67:17Luther Byrd in the third. Matthew Golden. JCM. We talked about him.
67:21Krosky Barrett. Jackson Dart, a breakout at the quarterback position.
67:23Jordan Mason should be the lead rusher for Minnesota.
67:26Casey Concepcion and Caleb Douglas. So I have two rookie receivers, two second-year receivers just on the bench.
67:31So that's where you want to attack. High draft capital first or second-year receivers is where the money is in fantasy.
67:37So give me those guys. All right. Here's my team.
67:40Let's see if you're a field. My starting quarterback is Justin Herbert, a player that I'm very optimistic on.
67:45As you guys know, I got him very late.
67:47Derrick Henry, Javante Williams, my two running backs. Puka and DJ Moore as my starting wide receivers with Brock Bowers as my tight end.
67:54My current starting flex is Roma Dunze. Other options to fill in there would be Christian Watson, maybe Tony Pollard, Chuba Hubbard,
68:00and then a couple of interesting high upside plays.
68:03Three of them to be specific. Well, two of them to be specific.
68:06Dejan Scherbling and Rashid Shahid. A little bit of a don't roll the dice on Dontavian Wicks.
68:11Mike mentioned he's been getting some buzz. Yep. And then Mike Washington Jr.
68:15looked really good for the Raiders in their preseason game with that 50-plus yard run.
68:19My defense is the Packers to the extent you care.
68:21And Dicker, the kicker, is my kicker. Yeah, by the way, three picks in.
68:25We said the field would ruin it, and he came through.
68:28He ruined it. He did. He did. That's true.
68:31That was really good. That's good. Respect. I have nothing to say other than good job by you.
68:36My squad, when I look at it, I really like my team.
68:39I'm going to start at the top with Drake May.
68:42My two running backs are Omari and Hampton and Jadarian Price.
68:45My wide receivers are Jackson, Smith, and Jigba. Chris Olave.
68:48My flex is Devonta Smith. So I have three wide receiver ones on my squad.
68:52Yeah. Sam Laporta, my tight end. My bench looks like David Montgomery, the upside of Brian Thomas Jr.
68:57at wide receiver. George Kittle, who I can start on the IR, and hopefully he develops into a top five guy again.
69:03Rashad White as the No. 2 in that Washington offense.
69:06Quinton Johnston, who we saw have some run last year with Justin Herbert.
69:09Mekhi Lemon as a dart throw. And Tyler Shuck just as a backup quarterback, in case anything happens to Drake May.
69:15I like where I was at. Normally, I don't draft two quarterbacks and two tight ends, but because I was able to
69:21wait long enough, I didn't feel like I really stretched myself super thin.
69:25So I like this squad. And then Lions as my defense, and my kicker is Brandon Aubrey.
69:30Draft grades are in. I don't know who does these or how they calculate them, but is an A good?
69:35I don't know. I'm number one in the power rankings of the day.
69:39Is that good? I'm just mad you got an F.
69:42Do better. I'm going to put two batteries up there.
69:44Listen, we love you guys. Thank you for hanging out with us today.
69:48We're going to be back tomorrow. I don't know what the show is.
69:52We're going to have fun with it, though. I think it's just trashing Mike's team.
