Adam Randall

PositiveSleeper62:25

Adam Randall is an underrated insurance running back for the Ravens. While Derrick Henry is the lead back, Randall is a unique, well-built pass-catcher who could see goal-line work and lead the team in carries if Henry is sidelined.

Insight page

Alec Pierce

PositiveRole3:39

Alec Pierce's fantasy outlook has been downgraded following the signing of Keenan Allen. While the source notes Pierce is talented and has been paid well, his target share and overall production are expected to decrease compared to his previous role, especially while he manages current health issues.

Insight page
PositiveValue66:07

The source likes Alec Pierce in best ball formats and is willing to take a shot on him in drafts because he could be in a good spot if active in week one.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

NegativeRole23:27

The source notes Bijan Robinson may share the role of the second-leading option in the Falcons' passing game alongside Kyle Pitts.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveValue18:28

The source advocates for drafting Brock Bowers in the second round, noting that it does not negatively impact the ability to secure quality running backs and wide receivers later in the draft.

Insight page
PositiveValue23:16

The source identifies Brock Bowers as one of the few tight ends they feel secure about, placing him in a top tier of reliable options for fantasy managers.

Insight page
PositiveUsage30:28

Field Yates drafted Brock Bowers in the second round and remains a strong advocate for the build, noting that the early investment in the tight end position did not hinder his ability to draft quality running backs and wide receivers.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveValue19:10

Brock Purdy is considered a quality value option for those employing a late-round quarterback strategy.

Insight page
PositiveValue23:39

The source identifies Brock Purdy as a strong late-round quarterback target who can be paired with another starter like Trevor Lawrence in 10-team formats.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveProjection36:46

The source views Carnell Tate as the most pro-ready prospect in the draft, citing his transferable skills, reliable hands, and route running. Despite a quiet preseason opener, the source maintains optimism, noting that history for top-10 drafted wide receivers suggests a 25% target share for those playing at least 14 games. He is recommended as a WR22-25 target.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeValue27:00

The source discusses the strategy of drafting Chase Brown in relation to having Ja'Marr Chase on the same roster, noting it is a common question for fantasy managers.

Insight page
PositiveValue28:20

The source confirms that pairing Chase Brown with Ja'Marr Chase is a viable strategy for fantasy managers, noting that top-tier offenses frequently support multiple fantasy-relevant players.

Insight page

Chris Bell

NegativeSleeper49:10

Chris Bell is viewed as a capable body with explosive potential, though he is currently recovering from a November ACL tear. The source suggests he could become a waiver wire target if he sees increased usage during the season.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveUsage20:54

Chris Olave is considered a weekly starter who is locked into the source's lineup.

Insight page
NegativeProjection64:51

The source moved Chris Olave up two spots in their rankings (to WR10 or WR11) following the Tyson injury, as his projected target share increased. However, the source notes that Olave's own injury history remains a concern.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeInjury20:04

Christian McCaffrey is dealing with calf tightness, but the source reports no concern regarding his Week 1 availability. Despite the injury, the source has not adjusted his ranking, maintaining him as a top-three overall pick in PPR formats.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveValue23:20

The source identifies Colston Loveland as one of the few tight ends they feel secure about, placing him in a top tier of reliable options for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

PositiveSleeper55:10

Cyrus Allen is having a great camp for the Chiefs. The source considers him a serviceable double-digit round investment, noting the team's reliance on him as a potential highlight player.

Insight page
NegativeSleeper58:28

Cyrus Allen is having a great camp, but the source notes that Chiefs receivers often generate hype that fails to pay off. He is considered a serviceable double-digit round investment.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveValue19:10

Dak Prescott is listed as a quality value option for managers waiting to draft a quarterback.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveUsage20:54

Devonta Smith is identified as a weekly starter who will remain in the source's lineup throughout the season.

Drake Maye

PositiveUsage21:02

Insight page
NegativeProjection21:07

Drake Maye is mentioned as a player on the roster, though no specific analysis or projection is provided beyond his presence on the team.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper24:45

The source cites Drake Maye as an example of an easy, high-upside click in late rounds for fantasy managers looking for backup quarterback depth.

Insight page

Emmett Johnson

PositiveValue60:08

Emmett Johnson, a fifth-round pick for the Chiefs, ran well in his first preseason game and was praised by Andy Reid. The source suggests he may have been underdrafted.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveValue21:09

The source views George Kittle as a strong asset, particularly when paired with another elite tight end like Sam LaPorta to create a surplus at the position.

Insight page
PositiveDepth Chart21:09

George Kittle is paired with Sam LaPorta to provide the source with a strong, reliable tight end situation.

Insight page
PositiveValue24:29

The source advocates pouncing on George Kittle if he falls in drafts, noting he is currently being drafted in the 10th round despite having the potential to be a team's number one pass catcher.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeValue62:03

J.K. Dobbins is being drafted in the 13th round, making him essentially free. While he claims he won't miss a game, the source remains cautious about the Broncos' backfield.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeValue27:00

The source addresses the common draft question of whether to avoid drafting Chase Brown if you have already selected Ja'Marr Chase, suggesting it is a point of consideration for roster construction.

Insight page
PositiveValue28:20

The source suggests that drafting Ja'Marr Chase alongside Chase Brown is acceptable, as high-powered offenses can support multiple top-tier fantasy assets, though they advise against stacking too many players from the same team like Burrow, Higgins, and Chase simultaneously.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeValue27:03

The source discusses the strategy of drafting Jadarion Price in relation to having Jaxon Smith-Njigba on the same roster, noting it is a common question for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

NegativeUsage25:33

The source uses Jahmyr Gibbs as an example of a player whose draft selection might impact the decision to draft other teammates like Tyler Allgeier, noting that adding players who provide zero early-season value limits roster flexibility.

Insight page

Jake Bobo

NegativeValue26:41

The source references Jake Bobo in the context of discussing pass-catching options, though they dismiss the comparison to George Kittle's potential role.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

PositiveUsage20:54

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is viewed as a weekly starter who will not be removed from the source's lineup.

Insight page
NegativeValue27:03

The source uses Jaxon Smith-Njigba as an example of a player whose presence on a roster might lead managers to question whether they should avoid drafting teammates like Jadarion Price.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeValue28:55

The source advises against stacking Joe Burrow with both Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase, noting that having too many eggs in one basket is risky for fantasy rosters.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

NegativeSleeper60:55

Jonah Coleman is a buzzy preseason player with a good skill set, but the source is not convinced he will have a big role. He is a late-round dart throw who could become a waiver wire target if J.K. Dobbins misses time.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

NegativeSleeper25:42

The source mentions Jordan Tyson as a player they are considering rolling the dice on, noting that such picks can limit the roster space available for backup quarterbacks or tight ends.

Insight page
NegativeInjury38:47

Jordan Tyson is expected to miss eight weeks with a hamstring injury, likely keeping him out until at least week nine. The source advises against drafting him in the top 60 wide receivers based on projected points, noting that the roster spot investment is likely not worth the wait for a rookie who may not produce immediately upon return.

Insight page

Josh Allen

NegativeProjection19:16

The source ranks Josh Allen 28th overall, noting that while he is a top-tier quarterback, the opportunity cost of drafting him early often outweighs the benefit compared to other positions.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveRole3:47

Josh Downs has been moved down in the source's rankings following the signing of Keenan Allen. The addition of a veteran receiver is expected to impact the target distribution for the Colts' younger pass catchers.

Insight page

Justice Hill

NegativeRole63:00

Justice Hill is viewed as a passing-down specialist for the Ravens and is unlikely to clear double-digit carries in a game barring disaster.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeValue18:15

Justin Herbert is highlighted as a late-round quarterback option with an ADP around 93, serving as a value target for those waiting on the position.

Insight page
PositiveValue28:51

Field Yates advocates for waiting on the quarterback position, citing his selection of Justin Herbert in the 10th round as a successful strategy. While Herbert is ranked as QB6 by Yates, he is ranked as QB14 by Mike Clay.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

NegativeRole2:35

Keenan Allen signed with the Colts, filling a clear void at the WR3 spot. While he is a future Hall of Famer, the source notes he is 34 years old and coming off a 2023 season where he was largely unproductive in fantasy, failing to reach 11 points in 14 of his final 15 games. The source expects him to have a handful of usable weeks but does not view him as a league winner.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

PositiveRole23:23

The source considers Kyle Pitts a secure tight end option, noting he is likely the number two option in the passing game, potentially co-second with Bijan Robinson.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeValue18:15

The source notes Lamar Jackson is being drafted around pick 66 in current mock drafts, which is part of the broader strategy to wait on the quarterback position.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

NegativeSleeper11:32

The source identifies Makai Lemon as a potential league-winning target in deeper formats, preferring his upside over the veteran floor of Keenan Allen. However, the source acknowledges the risk that Lemon could remain the WR3/4 in a low-volume Philadelphia passing attack.

Insight page

Malachi Fields

PositiveSleeper52:36

Malachi Fields is an intriguing sleeper due to his reliable hands and contested-catch ability. With Malik Neighbors entering the season banged up and the WR2 role uncertain, Fields has generated some buzz.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

PositiveValue23:39

The source highlights Matthew Stafford as a late-round quarterback option that can be paired with other QBs like Trevor Lawrence or Patrick Mahomes for free.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

NegativeUsage59:49

Mike Washington Jr. is a classic height-weight-speed back who averaged over six yards per carry in college. He is only a fantasy factor if Javonte Williams is injured.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

NegativeDepth Chart50:40

Omar Cooper Jr. appears buried on the Jets' depth chart based on preseason snap shares, with the team favoring Isaiah Williams. The source suggests this may be a redshirt season for him.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveValue23:39

The source notes that Patrick Mahomes can be paired with other quarterbacks like Matthew Stafford in late rounds, providing high-upside roster depth.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeProjection61:43

R.J. Harvey is a capable pass catcher who benefited from a good offense, but the source expects his touchdown production to regress to the mean.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveValue21:07

The source expresses confidence in rostering Sam LaPorta as a primary tight end option, noting that pairing him with George Kittle provides a strong, secure position group.

Insight page

Skyler Bell

NegativeDepth Chart59:26

Skylar Bell does not appear to be a factor for the Bills, currently positioned as the wide receiver five.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

NegativeDepth Chart59:31

Ted Hurst is an intriguing prospect for the Buccaneers due to the Mecca Abuka injury situation, though he still has significant development ahead.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

NegativeValue28:55

The source advises against stacking Tee Higgins with Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase, noting that having too many eggs in one basket is risky for fantasy rosters.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveSleeper24:55

The source identifies Terrence Ferguson as one of their preferred late-round picks in most drafts, representing the pool of high-ceiling players to target at the end of a draft.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveValue23:39

The source suggests pairing Trevor Lawrence with another quarterback like Brock Purdy, Matthew Stafford, or Patrick Mahomes in late rounds as a viable strategy for 10-team leagues.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveValue23:18

The source identifies Trey McBride as one of the few tight ends they feel secure about, placing him in a top tier of reliable options for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeValue23:43

The source mentions Tucker Kraft as a player who creates enough doubt that he might require insurance, but also enough excitement to potentially provide a roster surplus.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

NegativeUsage25:33

The source discusses the opportunity cost of drafting Tyler Allgeier, noting that adding players who provide little early-season value can restrict the ability to stash backup quarterbacks or tight ends.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveProjection3:42

Despite the addition of Keenan Allen, the source maintains a positive outlook on Tyler Warren. Mike Clay did not adjust Warren's 22% target share projection, noting that Warren remains a key part of the offense and is also involved as a goal-line rusher.

Insight page
PositiveValue23:21

The source identifies Tyler Warren as one of the few tight ends they feel secure about, placing him in a top tier of reliable options for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

NegativeUsage58:46

The source questions if there is more preseason hype surrounding Cyrus Allen than the former first-round pick Xavier Worthy, noting the tendency for Chiefs receivers to be over-hyped.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeValue28:23

The source uses Zach Charbonnet and Jackson Smith-Njigba as an example of a teammate pairing that is acceptable to draft together, provided the offense is productive.

0:27Welcome to Fantasy Focus Football alongside Mike Clay and Field Yates.
0:30My name is Daniel Dopp. We're breaking out the government names today.
0:33Not going to lie. For a second, I was adjusting my earpiece.
0:36I thought you said your name was Daniel Baby Dopp.
0:39How good would that be? That would be quite a good name.
0:42Yeah, let's change it. It is now. Yeah. Why not?
0:45Why not? Call me Daniel Baby. Hey, like half the players in the NFL just go with whatever name they want.
0:51There's a lot of names. That's not how that works.
0:53Yeah, they do. Matthew Stafford. That's not his name.
0:56What's his real name? What's his name? His first name is, I forget.
0:59Wint? No. What is it? Seriously? Matthew Stafford is a different name?
1:03Like Dak Prescott is Rain. Dak Prescott. Dak Prescott.
1:05Matthew Stafford. Matthew Stafford. That's it. No, that's an easy name to forget.
1:09There's a lot of them. There's way more of them than you realize.
1:12Hey, we got a big show coming up for you guys today.
1:16Really excited about where we're going to do a mock draft analysis of what we did yesterday.
1:20Our 10-team mock draft. Going to be a quick recap of what we think of our teams.
1:25And we're going to dive into a bunch of rookie talk.
1:28Our guy, Field Yates, is doing first draft every single week now.
1:31A new podcast just came out on Monday. Go check that out once you're done listening to this show.
1:36But we're going to dive into a bunch of rookie conversation.
1:39Obviously, we had a big injury that happened to one of the rookies we're going to talk about.
1:44I'm going to save it. Rather than go off the top, we'll put it into that part of the show.
1:50But I do want to really quickly dive into a little bit of news that we have.
1:55Because Keenan Allen signed this morning? Last night? I think it was like 11.30 last night.
1:5911.30 p.m. last night. I was asleep. I've got to admit it.
2:02And by the way, Keenan Allen. Oh, okay. That's fair.
2:05Michael Keenan Allen. He goes by Keenan for short form.
2:08Yes. But signs with the Colts. Yeah. With this squad.
2:10Obviously back with the team. And now we're in a situation.
2:13We were in on the Colts for a couple things.
2:16But they got three pass catchers that were there.
2:19Alec Pierce. We already had kind of a little ways down.
2:22We have Tyler Warren, who we were really in on with all the targets that had been vacated.
2:27With Michael Pittman leaving. And maybe Josh Downs. How does Michael...
2:30Excuse me. How does Michael Keenan Allen... I almost had it.
2:33How does Keenan Allen impact the way that you're going to look at this Colts offense?
2:37First of all, shout out the insider himself, Mr.
2:40Mike Clay. That's right. A couple days ago. Maybe it was yesterday.
2:43Keenan Allen to the Colts watch is officially on.
2:45Yeah. That was... I hate to say it, but...
2:48Kind of a layup as far as those dot connections go.
2:51I mean... Well, Mike... They had a very clear void at the number three spot.
2:55Let alone the fact that Alec Pierce is not fully healthy.
2:58So... Yeah. I'm not... Trust me. I'm not taking credit for that one.
3:01That was one that a lot of people have been speculating and makes perfect sense.
3:06Well, Mike, we tried to give you credits. And instead, you denied said credit.
3:09So... I was trying to give Mike credit and say, nice call on Keenan Allen.
3:14It... I will continue to give Mike credit for Keenan Allen.
3:17So... There are a few ways to read this.
3:19Man, like all those injuries have piled up. Steven Holder, our Colts reporter, has noted like, man, I'm surprised it took this long.
3:25This has been months in the making. Shane Steichen and Keenan Allen go all the way back to Steichen's days with the
3:31Chargers, which is during one of Allen's earlier tenures with Los Angeles.
3:35And I think to myself, yeah, I mean... You could read into this that it's just because of the injuries the Colts
3:41have had throughout the training camp and offseason. Sure.
3:43It also is the fact that Keenan Allen's like, what, 34?
3:46Mm-hmm. Right? Like, does he really want to be in training camp?
3:49Nope. On July 28th, going through the same old stuff that you go through every year during training camp?
3:55Do you think Keenan Allen needs five weeks of practice to get up to speed on how to run an option route?
4:01Of course not. It's Keenan Allen. He's a future Hall of Famer, at least in my opinion.
4:05So I think part of this is because of the injuries, Mike.
4:09I think part of this is also a long time coming for Keenan Allen to the Colts.
4:13He has jumped into the 40s of my ranks.
4:16I forget what number specifically between 40 and 50, but to give you some perspective of about where he's at, he is
4:22going to have a handful of weeks that are awesome.
4:24He is going to have a handful of weeks in which Keenan Allen piles up 12 targets and goes eight for 62, maybe a touchdown.
4:31That's what I wanted Tyler Warren to be in this offense.
4:34Does that mean Tyler Warren's not eating as much?
4:37First of all, I didn't touch Tyler Warren's projection at all.
4:40He was at a 21% target share last year.
4:42Michael Pittman's out. 34-year-old Keenan Allen is in. I have a 22%.
4:46I didn't touch it. I don't think this affects Tyler Warren at all, who, by the way, also involved as a rusher.
4:52Three goal line carries last year. Still feel great about Tyler Warren.
4:55I did move down. Alec Pierce and Josh Downs a little bit.
4:58More closer to where they've been in their career.
5:01A little still a little higher for Pierce. They've had him a lot of money when he's healthy.
5:06I think his role will be expanded. Again, remember, you're going from Pittman to Keenan Allen.
5:10I don't think he's going to be quite as good or as targeted.
5:14And I look back to last year for this because Keenan Allen last year had a 22% target share, which is a pretty big number.
5:20Yeah. But he was really bad in fantasy last year.
5:23He was in his final 15 games, including the playoffs.
5:26He was under 11 fantasy points in 14 of the 15.
5:29He had one big game. Otherwise, he was averaging like six, seven fantasy points a game.
5:33Six, seven. Jesus, Mike. It's right there. Come on, Mike.
5:36I'm not trying to give you credit. Unsubscribe. I'm not.
5:39What do they say now? I'm leaving the chat.
5:41That's right. Yes. So, yeah, I wonder if, you know, a guy was playing half the snaps last year and really was
5:47not productive is going to be a guy that really moves the needle.
5:51So I kind of disagree with you. I'm lower on him.
5:54I think that it does affect the other receivers a little bit.
5:57But once Pearson downs are healthy, I think he's going to be good.
6:01Now, Pierce misses a couple of weeks to open the year.
6:04Different conversation. I think we rank Allen as a starter in fantasy, but I don't think it lasts a big chunk of the year.
6:10I viewed it when I heard this news the same way where Tyler Warren is still going to be the guy.
6:16I, you know, say that I'm nervous about it because I don't want Keenan Allen to come in and steal all the
6:22targets that I thought was going to go to him.
6:25But to me, it would be Josh Downs and Alec Pierce that are more impacted in this offense.
6:30I don't have Keenan Allen inside my top 50.
6:32So I think there's a chance we're kind of saying the same thing.
6:36Just maybe phrasing it differently. Okay. Go to the wide receivers 40 to 50 right now, if you don't mind.
6:41I would love to feel. And look at some of the names that are currently being ranked between 40 and 50.
6:47Maybe Mike has it more handy. 40 to 50.
6:49Just some of the names. Chris Godwin Jr., Jordan Addison, Josh Downs, Makai Lemon, Quentin Johnston, Khalil Shakir, Xavier Worthy, Jaden Reed.
6:56So I think maybe Khalil Shakir will be a little bit different than the rest of those guys.
7:00But don't we kind of view those guys as players who are going to have a handful of usable games and then
7:06some total duds mixed in as well? That's a fair way to put it.
7:10More. I feel like when you get to this territory, the draft, you're looking for more.
7:15Your starting lineups filled out. You're looking for more of league winners.
7:18I don't think Keenan Allen's a league winner, but like Denzel Boston or Stribling or Concepcion or even Makai Lemon.
7:23Like those kind of guys just seem more appealing at this point.
7:27Like I'm not. Yeah. This comes back to knowing your needs though, right?
7:30Is it? It just matters. We said the number one draft strategy yesterday is what you've done in the draft up to that point.
7:37That dictates what you're going to do for the rest of the draft.
7:40No doubt that if I'm looking for the guy that has the chance to be my wide receiver two in a legitimately
7:46championship winning team, I'm taking Makai Lemon over Keenan Allen.
7:49I also acknowledge that Makai Lemon could be a lemon for fantasy, right?
7:53Like he might be the clear cut wide receiver three and the clear cut pass catcher four in Philly's offense, which ain't
7:59exactly high volume as it is and have very little fantasy relevance this year, which where I think that Keenan Allen does
8:05not come back to Indianapolis for real money to not have a real role.
8:09The one thing I'll say about this is that once again, even if Alec Pierce, was a hundred percent, I think there's
8:15a decent chance they still do this. Yeah. Right.
8:17I don't think this has been in the makings for months.
8:20Yeah, exactly. I just don't think they're planning on going into the season with like Nick Westbrook or someone along those lines as their number three receiver.
8:28So I will say if you're looking at Alec Pierce or you already drafted him, I wouldn't panic yet.
8:33Yes, he maybe misses a game, but he still seems to be on track for week one.
8:37And by the way, shout out to Chris Ballard, who kind of changed his game plan, adjusted a little bit.
8:43It was kind of frustrating for a long time how it was all in-house.
8:47They just want to go outside the organization. They've kind of shifted the last few years and the franchises made a leap
8:53forward and they were very good last year until Daniel Jones got hurt.
8:56So I think Colts fans might disagree with what you just said there, but making a leap forward.
9:01Like, yeah, they were eight and two last year, but I think it's eight, nine.
9:05It's progress from where they were. I mean, this is a big year for him.
9:10It's a huge, it definitely is. But this is the kind of thing you have to do.
9:14You can't be stubborn and not sign guys like this and just try to keep it.
9:19You can't like, well, Ashton Nolan's been here for five, six years.
9:22So he's our camp. He just can't operate that way.
9:25Put it on the pole. I have an idea because I think my big takeaway is I'm not really excited to draft any Colts wide receiver.
9:32Are you? And that's my question to the poll right now.
9:35Are you excited to draft any Colts wide receiver?
9:37I'm not saying a specific one. Okay. I know Mike lands on the Alec Pierce side.
9:42Yeah. Just that cost. I mean, his cost is so cheap now.
9:45It's so cheap. I'm not excited personally. Me either.
9:47All right. So that's two to one. So might as well just end the poll there.
9:52Yeah. Stop the count. I'm not scared. All right.
9:54Guys, let's do a little bit of mock draft analysis because yesterday we did a 10 team mock draft.
9:59The three of us had, I believe Clay, you were six and eight.
10:03Yeah. Four. I was at six. You were at eight fields.
10:06Yep. Why don't we start with Mike's team? We'll start on the other side of the desk, Mike.
10:11And just yesterday you had an instant reaction, but whenever we draft, like you sleep on it, you can wake up and
10:17look at your team the next day and you have potentially a different feeling because you've let the dust settle a little bit.
10:23How do you feel about the squad you drafted?
10:26Not me. I gave myself an A yesterday and I gave myself an A today.
10:30Okay. I did just get a spam text about bagels, so I might have to leave to go get bagels.
10:35But anyway, that's important. I mean, top priority. Yeah.
10:38Look, pretty happy with the team. The one thing, you know, yesterday going into that draft, we had a list of players
10:44mentally that we wanted to talk about mostly due to injury concerns.
10:47Right. So we kind of rolled through those. Getting out of high interest credit card debt is hard by yourself, which is

11:58But the guy we didn't talk about was perhaps the guy drafted earliest on that list, which was Christian McCaffrey, who I
12:04took with one of my first picks in this draft.
12:07So the report there is there's some tightness that he's dealing with.
12:10There was some speculation that maybe he was just holding in a little because of the contract signed by Jameer Gibbs and Bajon Robinson.
12:17Reportedly from Ian Rappaport yesterday, our new teammate, Ian Rappaport, is that that has no connection whatsoever, and he's dealing with legit tightness.
12:23But however, there's no concern about week one availability.
12:26So I should have said that yesterday when I drafted him, why I wasn't concerned.
12:30But as far as I'm concerned right now, I'm not changing anything.
12:33I still expect him to be ready to roll week one.
12:36Remember last year? Sorry. Remember two years ago when there wasn't any concern about him playing week one at the same time?
12:42Yeah. Yes. And then last year, by the way, there was an injury.
12:46He crushed it. But last year there was. Like at some point during camp last year, something did flare a little bit.
12:52And we're like, here we go. Deja vu all over again.
12:55And then he went on to be a totally healthy player.
12:58The best player in fantasy football by far. By far.
13:01So there's you can make the case that you should be worried.
13:04You can also make the case that you shouldn't be worried.
13:07This comes down to. So when we're doing these mock drafts and we have our rankings, which are being updated in the
13:13case of Mike, like every 20 minutes. But in the case of those of us who handle these rankings on ESPN, at
13:19least every couple of days I'm going in there and making tweaks.
13:22Even if it's just one player going up three spots, like we are constantly tweaking them.
13:27They're reflected on the website. One of our bosses, Scott Clark, we have this conversation often is that he really feels as
13:33though like the ranking should always be reflecting. If you were doing a mock draft right now, a draft right now, not
13:39a mock draft, a real draft right now, how would you rank?
13:42And would Christian McCaffrey stay at, I have him third overall in PPR scoring.
13:46This is a half PPR, but I'd feel just as good about CMC as third overall and half PPR as I do in full PPR.
13:53Or do we think that like, are you really going to be the person that pulls the trigger on CMC at pick number three?
13:59And if not, then he shouldn't be that high in your rankings, right?
14:03Or are you having rankings that reflect where you think it's going to be by the time we get to peak draft season, right?
14:09Which we are not in peak draft season yet.
14:12Each of us has had a few drafts, but I know most of my drafts are at least a week away.
14:18And it's a, it's a fine line that you're kind of balancing.
14:21I do based off of the information that Mike just mentioned and just sort of the general tenor of the reporting surrounding Christian McCaffrey.
14:27I have not, and will not be updated my rank for him.
14:31I have him as third overall half PPR included.
14:33I'm not concerned at the moment about Christian McCaffrey.
14:36The strongest case about being concerned right now, at least for me, is if Christian McCaffrey gets hurt during the season, even
14:42if he comes back tomorrow and practices every day in full until the season begins.
14:46And then in week three of the season, Christian McCaffrey gets hurt and misses a month.
14:50I'm going to say, damn it. I did it to myself again, right?
14:54Because he's had an injury history. If I take B.
14:57John Robinson first or second overall, and he gets hurt in week three, I'm not going to say, damn it.
15:02I did it to myself again. I'm going to say that sucks.
15:05I got unlucky. Although the truth is you just got unlucky if Christian McCaffrey gets hurt.
15:10It's no different. It's just, there's a mental side of the game that machine Mike can distance himself from compartmentalize Daniel and I can't.
15:16Yeah. But think about this. If I told you right now, I'm guaranteeing you Christian McCaffrey will miss exactly four games, not more, not less exactly four games.
15:24Sure. How do you, how do you feel about him?
15:27I still think he, well, do I have like the ability to draft a backup running back to fill in?
15:32Of course you, you put a flex guy in there.
15:35I think he goes to the end of the first round.
15:38Yeah, exactly. I mean, it barely moves the needle.
15:40I mean, if you're guaranteeing you're getting that many games out of a player of that caliber, that's a great thing to have.
15:47I hear you. You don't get zeros when he's out.
15:49Three versus 10 is a big gap in the draft order.
15:52Also, you don't get to choose when those weeks come.
15:55And if they happen at the wrong time, you know, we're talking week 13, week 14, then like all of a sudden you're sunk in a different situation.
16:03Again, week six through. I know. Well, we're putting a lot of caveats on it.
16:07I'm not disagreeing with you. If I knew that Christian McCaffrey would be healthy for the entire season and all the things,
16:13it would change the way that I'm ranking him.
16:15Yeah. So you don't know that. But just to put a pin in like where we presently stand, the three of us,
16:21Mike made clear with his actions yesterday. Yep. He is not changing his Christian McCaffrey rank or approach.
16:26I am saying I am not changing my Christian McCaffrey rank or approach.
16:30I had a draft on Sunday night. I had the sixth pick and I took Christian McCaffrey.
16:35I am also saying even with this, I am not changing my draft.
16:38You're just much lower than him. I'm just lower than you guys.
16:41Yes. But I'm not moving him down any farther because of this as a part of the conversation.
16:46I think it's important to know because there are a few players where my ranking, I mentioned yesterday, like I have officially grown concerned with Emeka Abuka.
16:54Yep. That was like hours before Todd Bowles was like, yeah, he's day to day, week to week.
16:59We'll see whether he plays week one. So my concern grows by the minute with Emeka Abuka.
17:03I have adjusted him. He's down, I think, to wide receiver 13 from 11.
17:07Not a huge bump down, but still, that's a bump.
17:10Christian McCaffrey has stayed where he is. He's amongst the guys that even while dealing with an injury during training camp, his rank has not moved.
17:17Phil, I want to talk to you about your team because you waited on the quarterback spot in part because you had
17:23a guy you had ranked higher than some of the other rankers.
17:26So you felt really good just waiting at QB.
17:29I did. I took Justin Herbert in round 10.
17:31He's my quarterback six. Mike famously has a quarterback 14.
17:34Mike doesn't like him. More Madison Beard's music. Different conversation for a different podcast.
17:38Go check out ESPN Audio. Anyways, I think in a different draft, with a different group of people drafting, this pick would feel different than it did yesterday.
17:46Because as an example, I had in my 7th and 10 round picks, Christian Watson and Justin Herbert.
17:51Mike in his 7th and 10th round selections yesterday.
17:53Got Lamar Jackson and Ja'Cory Krosky-Merritt. But I don't think that Lamar Jackson's going in the 7th round.
17:58No. Ever. No. Except for the people that we are drafting with.
18:01Agreed. So waiting on quarterback when everybody is waiting on quarterback doesn't create the same advantage as when you're playing in a
18:07league where somebody has taken Josh Allen 17th overall and Lamar goes 23rd and Jaden Daniels goes 27th and Drake May goes 32nd and Jalen Hurts goes 40th.
18:15But when Lamar Jackson goes, whatever, 66th, Justin Herbert going 93rd doesn't feel nearly as valuable.
18:19But that's classic ESPN fantasy staff rankings, waiting on quarterback.
18:22We all, most all of us do it. I am still a dramatic advocate for waiting at quarterback this year.
18:28And I also went early on tight end with Brock Bowers and I still loved the build there.
18:32I had Brock Bowers in my second round. And I felt like it did not impact the ability to grab good running backs and receivers.
18:39Yeah. I said this yesterday. Just remember that just because your neighborhood league might not see quarterbacks fall quite that far doesn't mean you shouldn't wait.
18:46Like, yes, those guys are going to go early.
18:49That's even better for you. If like you said, Lamar and Jaden, that's great for you.
18:53That means all those skill guys in those first few rounds, those superstar players in other positions are falling to you.
18:59It's going to be a huge advantage for you to still wait.
19:02Don't panic because in your neighborhood league, it's not going the same way.
19:06And these quarterbacks are getting clicked off. You're still going to have outstanding value options.
19:10Bo Nix, Dak Prescott, Brock Purdy, Stafford, Herbert is still going to fall.
19:14I mean, you have so many quality options. Yeah.
19:16I also like if, if Josh Allen, and this was a mock draft.
19:20So we're, we're sort of toying with things. I have Josh 28th in my overall rankings.
19:24So if I'm sitting there at the end of the third round and Josh Allen's still available, he's in the queue at the very least.
19:31At least thinking about it. Yeah. At least thinking about it.
19:34Yeah. I haven't projected way ahead of all the other quarterbacks.
19:37The only reason I don't draft him as often is because again, the opportunity cost is just not worth it where he goes quite often.
19:44There's just so many good players at the other side.
19:46Are you going to knock his projection at all in the games that they wear those uniforms?
19:51Oh, there's by a lot. Yes. Good. Good. Big time.
19:54Big time. I don't know when they're, is that a, is that a Thursday night thing or I don't even know what?
20:00I've seen the uniforms. I don't recall if they've announced the dates yet, but it will be very notable when they play in those, what's it called?
20:07Like nickel city uniforms. Nickel city. It is that they're going to do it twice this year.
20:12Right now we're getting the dates for you right now behind the scenes.
20:16By the way, we'll see if we rank him first in week one too.
20:19We'll not be ranked first. Yeah. Houston. So something really quickly with my team guys.
20:23And then we were going to take a couple of questions from our chat about the draft.
20:28I love my squad. I went in with an idea.
20:31I wanted to be able to go out and get guys that I wanted to target.
20:35I understand where people are, where the industry has them, but I do my own rankings.
20:40I do my own tiers. And so I went out and targeted the guys that I wanted.
20:44And with the way I was able to do that, grabbing my running back in Omari and Hampton with my RB two
20:50and Jadarian price, let me load up on a bunch of really good wide receivers.
20:54JSN, Chris Olave, Devonta Smith, having those three guys, they're going to be starters every single week.
20:59None of them are going to come out of my starting lineup.
21:02I have Drake May at quarterback. He's not going to come out of my starting lineup.
21:07I have Sam Laporta, Drake, Drake Maymay. Thank you.
21:09Sorry about that. I have Sam Laporta and George Kittle.
21:12Like I'm in a great spot at the tight end position.
21:15So the big question mark is maybe you're out on Omari and Hampton.
21:19That's fine. It's not your draft. It's mine. If I'm in on Omari and Hampton, I'm the one that has to be able to live with it.
21:26It's my team, right? So when I look at this, I feel like based on my rankings and how I value players,
21:32I walked away with dudes I'm really pumped to be able to have in fantasy.
21:36And I say that not because we don't love the draft grades.
21:39Mike, I love getting a draft grade at the end, but I don't care what Mike's draft grade is at the end of a real draft.
21:47Mock drafts, we have fun with it, but I want to walk away with guys that I targeted.
21:51And I felt like when I look at this draft, I achieved a bunch of the things that I had been hoping to get.
21:58This is why we do mocks. And I felt like I learned a bunch from other mocks.
22:03So I'm really pumped with the way that this one worked out.
22:06So you didn't sleep well last night. You were up last night practicing this.
22:10I was so defensive and you were stressed. I wasn't defensive.
22:13I wanted to find a way to play this league out.
22:16And you had to talk yourself into this team.
22:18I can see right through this. Just a reminder, by the way, if you get a B in college, it's a 3.0 GPA, right?
22:25And for those of us that couldn't, yes. So I actually think a B grade is amazing in your mock draft.
22:31Two thoughts. We talked yesterday about when we are doing this, because we do have, and not that people who play fantasy
22:37football can't make their own rankings, but not many people that I know are being compensated as a living to go and rank every player by position.
22:44But for us, when we do, there is that fine line of like, yeah, I love Amar and Hampton, but I think
22:50I could probably get him around later. Yep. To me, it's much less scientific.
22:54It's sometimes just art. It's trying to play the board effectively.
22:57So I hear you on like targeting your guys and feeling good about it.
23:01But you also, if you said, Hey, I try to be patient that I missed out on one of my guys, I think that's justifiable as well.
23:08Something you did that I love. And I don't know that I would always love this in different years.
23:13I'm down on the tight end double dip. If I don't have one of obviously Brock Bowers, Trey McBride.
23:19Yep. Colson, Loveland, Tyler Warren. Yep. And I would throw Kyle Pitts into one of those five guys that I feel really secure about.
23:25He's going to be the number two option in the passing game.
23:29Maybe co-two with B. John Robinson. Sure. I think he's just, he's become the player, not quite to the level that we
23:35hope for, but a good, solid player in fantasy.
23:37Like if you grab a Sam Laporte and a George Kittle like you do, I'm totally fine with that.
23:42I feel really good. Tucker Craft plus somebody else.
23:45Yes. There are a lot of guys that create just enough doubt that it's nice to have some insurance, but there are
23:51also a lot of guys that create just enough excitement that if you hit on both of them, you've created a real surplus for your roster.
23:58You grab two of them. Yep. I'm with you on that.
24:01We actually have a question from our YouTube chat.
24:03Okay. Kind of around this a little bit. This one comes from Stressi.
24:0710 person league, full PPR. Is it worth stashing one backup tight end or one backup quarterback on the bench?
24:12You were just saying this. I fully agree with you.
24:15Yeah. I mean, I love the quarterback thing too at the end of drafts, right?
24:19Yes. Like the Trevor Lawrence plus Brock Purdy or Trevor Lawrence plus Matthew Stafford, Matthew Stafford plus Patrick Mahomes like for free.
24:25Yes. Why not? Yeah. The answer here, I think is it depends who's there.
24:29If someone's falling and you're like, man, George Kittle has fallen too far.
24:33People are too scared. Like you did yesterday. Yep.
24:35Pounce on George Kittle. It's the same thing. I used the comparison yesterday, last year.
24:39I don't always like taking a second tight end, especially if I'm secure with my first tight end or my first quarterback,
24:45but like Drake may was an easy click last year as an upside play.
24:49And you could do the same thing this year, considering how deep it is at quarterback and same thing with tight end.
24:55Like one of my last picks and most drafts is Terrence Ferguson for the Rams.
24:59I mean, guys like that, whether it's running back, quarterback, receiver, tight end, whatever it is, there's a pool of these upside
25:05guys with your last few picks could be a high ceiling insurance running backs first or second year, high pedigree receivers.
25:11And of course the tight ends and quarterbacks we just talked about, like those are all in the pool and you should
25:17be just picking from that group late. It doesn't matter what position.
25:20So I am an advocate of what this person posed the question to do.
25:24I am a generally an advocate for it. What I will say is, and not to straddle the fence here, but some
25:30of it just depends on also like what else you're doing.
25:33Like if you grab, I'm just, if you draft Jeremiah Love and you're like, I'm going to pay full freight on Tyler
25:39Algier and you draft a banged up wide receiver.
25:42You're like, I want to roll the dice on Jordan Tyson, who we'll talk about later.
25:46Each time you do something in which you add a player who at least at the beginning of the season provides zero
25:52value to you, it shuts the window on having that second quarterback or that second tight end because there's only, well, technically
25:58not a tight end, but there's only room for one quarterback in your lineup.
26:02Correct. So every time you do one of those things, it decreases the opportunity a little bit to take a second quarterback.
26:08Just keep that in mind. But in roster construction where that isn't an issue, like again, I've, I've happily double dipped a
26:14QB because you're getting these guys in 13th and 14th round.
26:17If you're waiting, usually I don't do both two quarterbacks and two tight ends.
26:21I think I said that a little last week on the podcast.
26:24Um, but yes, I'm fully in on board with that.
26:27Also George Kittle right now, still being drafted in the 10th round.
26:30How many guys being drafted in the 10th round could legitimately be the number one pass catcher for their squad right now on fantasy football.
26:37And I recognize the flags that are there because of other than Jake Bobo, obviously.
26:41Okay guys. Well, guess we'll move on to the next question here.
26:44Can I make one point on Daniel's on Daniel squad that I think is important because I think we get a, is it a good point?
26:52Yeah, it is. It's a good point about your squad.
26:54And we're out of time for this. There are people that sometimes ask a version of this question is like, if I
27:00take Jamar Chase, should I avoid Chase Brown? Right.
27:03Or if I take Jackson Smith and Jigba, should I avoid Jadari and Price?
27:07Yep. There were actually a lot of examples of a top 12 running back and receiver on the same team in 2025.
27:13Last year, there was a top 12 running back on the Rams with two top 12 wide receivers.
27:18The Ravens, the Lions, the Falcons, and the Bengals all had top 12 running backs and wide outs.
27:23The Cowboys had a top 12 running back and two top 12 wide receivers.
27:26So the moral of the story, if it's a good offense, it's okay to double dip.
27:31Yes. I probably wouldn't be double dipping on the Browns early, but I'm okay with double dipping.
27:35I wouldn't want to do like Burrow, T. Higgins, and Jamar Chase or something.
27:39Just too many eggs in the same basket. But yeah, Brown Chase, something like that.
27:43Totally fine. Love it. All right. That's it for questions.

28:56We're going to move ahead, my friends. We are talking about some rookies that you need to know.
29:01Here's the deal. It does feel like in fantasy football this year.
29:04And field, I already talked about this. You obviously do the first draft podcast.
29:08You know so much more about these guys. Can't wait to learn about them.
29:12But it feels like this year in fantasy, the top end is just not nearly as full of guys that will be
29:18impactful for us in our game as it has been in years past.
29:21Does that feel about right? I think so. I think it was reflected in some dynasty leagues last year where first round
29:27picks were going for less than they normally would.
29:30And there just wasn't nearly as much excitement in our, we play in the dynasty league together and we do an offline draft.
29:36And it was like, oh, we're already taking that guy.
29:39That guy, huh? That third round receiver. Tail end of the first round, huh?
29:43Not great, but we do have a crown jewel.
29:45So I thought what we figure we do is like the rookies will kind of categorize them.
29:50The must draft need to know. I'll give you a little bit of the scouting.
29:54Some of these names we've talked about a ton, so we'll be quicker on them.
29:58Scouting wise though, Jeremiah Love, you guys know this is a B.
30:01John Robinson level prospect, 40 touchdowns over the past two seasons, back-to-back years with a 90 plus yard rushing touchdown in college.
30:07He's fast. He's elusive. He's got enough power. He's incredible as a pass catcher.
30:11I'd be stunned beyond words if Jeremiah Love was not the first rookie taken in every redraft this year.
30:16And he was probably the first rookie taken in almost every Dynasty League as well.
30:20Maybe, maybe save super flex formats. But we've talked about him pretty much every show.
30:25He's going somewhere around the back end of the second round.
30:28I think that's going to be exactly where he ends up, where he should end up.
30:32He is at RB 11 for me. I know Mike is a little bit higher.
30:36His current ADP is 18.5. Jeremiah Love, not much more to say other than this kid rules as a player.
30:42The mitigating factors are what they are, right? Not a great offense.
30:45Tyler Algier is going to play some level of a role.
30:48And right now, Jeremiah Love has an ankle sprain.
30:50Yep. I wonder if we'll see that, you know, any of his draft ADP dip just a little bit because of that ankle sprain.
30:57I think it will. As the preseason. So right now, Mike, you still have Jeremiah Love at running back seven.
31:02Is that right? Yes, I do. I'm still very high on Jeremiah Love.
31:06I moved him down behind like Ashton Gentey, but I guess I know I've cooked six Gentey seven.
31:11So I have a mid eight right now. You love Love.
31:14But again, those guys were so close. I just want to give you a little added perspective really quick here.
31:19Yeah. I talked about the last nine running backs selected in the top 12, finished top 12 and fantasy points as a rookie.
31:26I mentioned that stat many times. This is the average stats for that group of nine players.
31:3015 games, 289 touches, 1456 yards, 11 touchdowns, 17.3 fantasy points per game.
31:34That's the average for those nine running backs. Jeremiah Love, I have in the vicinity of that for this year.
31:39So as far as I'm concerned, it's all systems go.
31:42Tape looks good. Yeah. For those reasons, I am not out.
31:45Not out on Jeremiah Love. One last tasty kicker and we got a long ways to go.
31:50Okay. And there are a lot of things that could influence this.
31:53But as of right now, weeks 15, 16, and 17, the three teams that Jeremiah Love and the Cardinals play, the Jets, the Saints, and the Raiders.
32:00Yep. I talked about that last week. Remember my future headline was he was a league winner this year.
32:06Yep. So I think the Saints would be pretty solid on defense, but, and the Jets will be okay.
32:11I just, they're better. Yeah. But it's, yes, I just, I think, and I've said this before, I think tanking is going
32:17to be a real thing in the NFL this season.
32:20The draft looks that good and teams are realizing being in the middle is that unsavory.
32:24Yes. There's no point in being the Dolphins. Doesn't, yeah, it doesn't help you get better.
32:28The Dolphins of the last five years. Correct. Yes.
32:31No point. The Dolphins are doing it correctly now.
32:33Right. But there was no point, like, even though years in which they made the playoffs and then they got summarily dismissed
32:39by the Chiefs when they forgot to show up for that very cold game.
32:43All right. You go from Jeremiah Love, there's like clearly a gap now.
32:47Yes, big gap. Right. How many players are in this next tier that you feel like are still going to be on a weekly basis?
32:54Yeah. I thought there were three until yesterday. So now there's two.
32:57In whatever order you want to choose, I'll say Jadarian Price first only because he's a running back and we're always looking for running backs.
33:04Sure. He goes 32nd overall. I thought he was, I think I had him like 35th overall in my final big board.
33:10Way off. Very, very powerful runner. No, I'm not.
33:12Very powerful runner. Very fast. Excellent kick return man as well.
33:15He's great at breaking tackles. He's good between the tackles.
33:18He's going to make guys miss a little bit for a guy of his size, but he's not as shaky, if you
33:24want to call that a word, as Jeremiah Love is.
33:27Probably caught a lot of passes in college, right?
33:29He caught six last year. So that's one of the big question marks.
33:33It's more than you, Todd. That's true. True, true, true.
33:36That's true. He had six catches last year. Of course, so much of the passing game work was going to go to Jeremiah Love because he's that special.
33:43Fumbles were a problem for Jadarian Price as well.
33:46Got to keep that part of the equation rock steady because that's an easy way to get yourself sent to the bench.
33:52But he goes to Seattle, who has the third highest run rate in the NFL last season.
33:56They had a league I-85 red zone runs. And going into the draft, it felt like the shallowest running back room in the league, right?
34:03I mean, even the Cardinals had a pretty decent running back room prior to Jeremiah Love.
34:08So Jadarian Price, Daniel I know has him as RB19.
34:10Mike and I, I think, are a little more bearish.
34:13RB24, 25, that range. But still, I think he's deserving of being drafted in...
34:17I want to take a quick... Sorry. 6-7th round?
34:196-7. Okay. I like it. I want to look at the ADP of guys going around him.
34:24I'm just curious how you feel about right now with where Jadarian Price is coming off the board.
34:29You're talking about Harold Fannin, Mike's favorite guy. Luther Byrd in the third.
34:33Basial Tootin. Matthew Stafford. Jadarian Price. I mean, this is...
34:35You're talking, like you said, seventh... This is eighth round.
34:38Eighth into ninth round. Mike, ADP is not ninth round for Jadarian Price in the rest of the industry.
34:43We're... No, he's going in the sixth round right now.
34:46Sixth round other places. Yeah, he's going in sixth round of 12-team leagues.
34:50Again, I'm a little lower than you. I would be higher on him if Zach Charbonnet was just out for the season.
34:56But by all accounts, it could be first month of the season.
34:59Something along those lines. That makes me nervous. I just feel like you might get to a point weeks...
35:04Six or seven. Where Zach Charbonnet ramped up for a couple weeks.
35:07And he's a big part of that offense. And they love...
35:10Like, to your point, you talk about the little things running backs do.
35:14Charbonnet did those for the Seahawks. That's the reason Ken Walker III had such a limited role last season.
35:19And I don't expect that to go away once Charbonnet...
35:22Who, by the way, isn't like 33 years old.
35:24You know, he's still in his prime. He's a young running back.
35:28He's going to come back. He's going to be healthy.
35:30And they like him. He's going to have a role in this backfield.
35:34The only thing that I want to say based off of that full screen that Daniel just showed...
35:39And I know that Mike has the industry consensus ADP.
35:42We've been saying Matthew Stafford, like one of our favorite late-round quarterbacks.
35:45Based off of live draft data, he is not.
35:47Because he's going 79th. Which is not late-round. Not late-round.
35:50Middle-round. That's eighth round. So, just keep... I will, at least going forward, until that...
35:54Unless or until that sort of levels out, I will not refer to Matthew Stafford as a late-round guy.
35:59We think of him as a late-round guy. He's going in the ninth round of 12-team leagues.
36:04You have to keep in mind, too, ADP there could sometimes reflect like six-team leagues.
36:08And there's a lot of casual leagues out there.
36:11And so, if you're in a six-team league, Matthew Stafford might go quite a bit earlier.
36:15If it's a Rams fans or someone who knows he's the league MVP and wants to grab him.
36:20Only one of draft players named John. And those leagues exist.
36:23So, yeah. I mean, John Stafford's still pretty good, too.
36:26That's a good guy. Not bad. Not bad. That's right.
36:29John's a few from Philly. Different kind of John.
36:31Different John. You're right. You're right. Let's talk about Carnell Tate.
36:34We were pumped on Carnell Tate, Field G8s. Yeah.
36:36And I'm not going to let the performance... I know Mike has adjusted the ranks a little bit.
36:41Just a hair. Just a hair. Yeah, a tiny bit.
36:44I'm not going to let week one of the preseason totally dissuade me.
36:48I thought that Carnell Tate was the most pro-ready prospect in the entire draft.
36:52Maybe along with Jeremiah Love because he plays a very transferable position at running back.
36:56What he lacked in premier deep speed he made up for in great hands.
37:00Very good route running. Effort as a blocker. All the things that will keep him on the field in all situations.
37:05Right? This is not going to be a guy who's yanked when they're playing one wide receiver sets.
37:10I think this offense makes a leap. Wondell Robinson is probably being underrated once again because he's a really good player.
37:16But I think Carnell Tate deserves to be drafted around Jadarian Price.
37:19Somewhere in that wide receiver 22 to 25 range.
37:22Yeah. I'm just a hair lower on you guys.
37:24If you look back, I did this article. Actually, it's in the NFL section.
37:28Like rookie projections about a month or so after the draft ends.
37:31And I always look pretty close or, you know, very closely at like the history of players with similar draft capital.
37:37So I look back at the 16 wide receivers who played more than a few snaps who were drafted in the top 10 over the past decade.
37:44And the numbers are wild. Actually, 12 of the 16 receivers picked in the top 10 had at least 865 yards.
37:50The exceptions, Tavon Austin, Corey Davis and Mike Williams, who all missed at least three games that year.
37:55And Roma Dunze was the other exception. And of course, he was behind DJ Moore and Keenan Allen.
38:00The 13 receivers who played at least 14 games handled a, get ready for this, 25% target share.
38:05As a rookie, the lowest was a Dunze's 19%.
38:07So that tells us that Carnell Tate and when healthy, we'll get to him in a second.
38:12Jordan Tyson, based on history, they should handle big workloads.
38:15So that was my initial optimism on Carnell Tate.
38:17I do want to see a little bit more from Cam Ward.
38:21But again, I moved him in a couple spots, but I still have him as an every week starter as a wide receiver three.
38:27Yep. So he's going at the beginning of the eighth round.
38:30So a little bit ahead of what we were just talking about with Jadari and Price.
38:35Yeah. Roma Dunze or Carnell Tate right there. I mean, he's surrounded by a bunch of running backs that we're looking at.
38:41So this is going to be an interesting spot for him to figure out what he can be in this Titans offense field.
38:47Let's talk about Jordan Tyson, unfortunately, because we were all in on this kid.
38:51First round rookie loved. I have been in on the Saints.
38:54I love what the Saints could potentially be this year.
38:57And the dude is electric, unfortunately. Found out he's going to miss eight weeks with the hamstring that he is dealing with.
39:03Where does that put us right now? Eight weeks from today.
39:06That would be like week six or seven. Heyo.
39:08And they have a bye week. Are we bringing it back?
39:11Are we bringing six, seven back? Hopefully not. Thank you.
39:14Please. They have a bye week. They have a bye week eight.
39:17So keep in mind what that probably means. Right?
39:20Like you're probably talking about week nine best case scenario.
39:22And so I think this one really, people might get sick of us talking about it.
39:27This one really comes down to what you have done in your draft up to this point.
39:31Right? Like the ranking on Jordan Tyson matters. It sort of doesn't as well.
39:35Right? Because if you're just ranking the players based off of how many projected fantasy points they will score for the upcoming
39:41season, he should not be in your top 60.
39:44Yeah. But if you're ranking the most valuable assets, you could easily put him inside your top 60 of wide receivers.
39:49Because maybe you feel, you could feel as though Jordan Tyson, upon his return, whether it's for five, eight, 10 games, has
39:55the chance to crack the top 25 of wide receivers more frequently than other wide outs who may never get there.
40:01Right? Like you may feel as though Omar Cooper Jr.
40:04We'll talk about it in a minute. Like there's just no chance he has upside.
40:08So why bother ranking him ahead of Jordan Tyson, even though Omar Cooper Jr.
40:12Is healthy? So it just comes down to philosophical, philosophical thing on rankings.
40:15Yeah. No doubt. And by the way, you know, I think a lot of people listening might be thinking, well, eight weeks
40:22from today is like week five, but it's a hamstring and he's a rookie.
40:25And like, I, and he's, I think there's a chance he comes back before the bi-week, but the reason we say week
40:31eight, bi, back in week nine, I mean, it would not be surprising based on his history and what type injury this
40:37is that he's held out until that point. Right?
40:40So yeah, he could come back earlier. I don't think that makes a difference for me when I'm ranking him.
40:45You know, I, I'm going to expect him to miss a big chunk of the season.
40:50And frankly, there are just so many, including rookies, like upside guys.
40:53Once we get to rounds 10, 11, 12, I just don't know if it's worth it.
40:57Like I'll take to John Stribling without even hesitating right now.
41:00And you can apply that to Concepcion and Denzel Boston and guys like that as well.
41:05I want to ask you guys this question really quickly right now with where we're at in draft.
41:10If we know, we know he's going to miss time, two months.
41:13So when you draft a kid like this, you're talking about purposefully drafting a person, you know, you're going to put into your IR spot.
41:20Right? So you're not going to probably draft a George Kittle and a Zach Charbonnet and a Jordan Tyson, unless you just have a crazy deep IR league.
41:28Yeah. When you do this with Jordan Tyson, do you think with where you have to draft him, you're drafting him and
41:34now you really can't use your IR on someone else?
41:36Or if somebody else gets hurt, are you like, you know what?
41:40I'll burn my 13th round pick. It's just Jordan Tyson.
41:42Got to drop him off the IR. I didn't even get any value out of what I had.
41:47You know what I mean? That's a part of the conversation.
41:50Yeah. I mean, I, I mentioned the ranking doesn't really matter.
41:53He's no longer my top 60. Okay. Then my, I'm like, that's, that's.
41:57So if you draft him and then have to drop him with where you will be drafting him at, you're not like,
42:03all right, I just, I can't believe I invested that.
42:06You're like, no, that's how it works. It sucks.
42:08I don't think I'm taking him. It would have to be an extreme situation where I went heavy on all the other positions.
42:14And I'm like, my receiver situation is really bad.
42:17I'm going to need, I'm going to need a hero mid season.
42:20Maybe I'll leave him stashed. But by the way, keep this in mind too.
42:24He seems like a safe prospect. We don't know.
42:26Like, we don't know if any of these guys are going to be good for Fernando Mendoza looks like he's going to be a really good player.
42:34We don't know that at all. We don't know if Jeremiah loves going to be good.
42:38We don't know anything about these guys at the pro level.
42:41They haven't been there. So he could come back finally and be okay in fantasy.
42:45And you're like, I waited half the season for a guy that's, I don't even want to put in my flex spot.
42:51That's the thing. It's just not worth the expense.
42:54That's where I'm at as well. I think he's a very, very talented kid, by the way.
42:59Like incredibly explosive. Good things happen when the ball is in his hand.
43:02Yes. The hype next year in 2027 drafts is going to be enormous, but we're not there.
43:07We got a question from our chat right now.
43:09By the way, shout out to our buddy at Eric Moody.
43:12Follow him on social media at Eric and Moody.
43:15But right now, chat from our queue. This one comes from Jeff C.
43:18He might be our most popular. Yeah, absolutely. We love Jeff.
43:21Who is the wide receiver to now? No surprise that Devon Vele and Tyler Shook have a good chemistry.
43:27They are Vele, who they traded. Fourth round pick?
43:29Yeah. Four from Denver. Great piece of business by Denver last year.
43:32But Vele had some bright moments down the stretch last year.
43:35Yep. And Vele, by the way, had 66 catches in two seasons.
43:39Like not a non-factor through two years for a guy that was taken in the seventh round.
43:43So I thought Vele was a good player coming out of Utah.
43:47I also understood he was an old, unathletic prospect relative to guys being taken.
43:50Field. Ageism is a crime. I learned it from Mike.
43:53Yeah. He was very much an old prospect. But yeah, he was hurt a lot of last season.
43:58He had 12 fantasy points in one game. But he did play a pretty sizable role for a month before he got re-injured.
44:04So I expect him to be the number two.
44:07If he can get into the flex conversation, it's a matter of how good Tyler Shuck is.
44:11If he ups his game this year and can support, obviously, Chris Alave, Travis Achan out of the backfield.
44:17Maybe Jawan Johnson now with Tyson out can hang in the tight end one conversation for a little while.
44:22I don't think there's enough there for Vele to get to the flex conversation.
44:26But I have him ranked right around 70, which makes him like a last pick in your draft.
44:31Good with that one right there. You said that you had only three guys in this list part of like 1A, 1B.
44:37Yep. And that's Carnell Tate, Jadarian Price, and Jordan Tyson.
44:39Mike had a bone to pick with you because he wanted to add one name to this list.
44:44No, opposite. Oh. Mekhi Lemon was on the list.
44:47I said he should be probably down. Oh, he shouldn't be on the list.
44:51I do not have Mekhi Lemon on my list.
44:53All right. We're in concert. So we're on the same page there.
44:56Yeah, I don't think he should be. So then here's the thing.
45:00Let's talk about Mekhi Lemon and a bunch of other guys field.
45:03There were other high drafted wide receivers. Like first rounders, second rounders here, but we just don't have the same kind of upside it feels like.
45:10Let's talk about the upside city guys. Well, can I just, I don't want to totally dismiss Mekhi Lemon.
45:15Like he was the 20, what, first, 22nd overall pick?
45:18Yep. Like he's obviously, and he was on the Blitnikoff last year, which is the best college wide receiver.
45:23Should have been Jeremiah Smith, but who cares? Anyways, he's a great player.
45:27He's a slot guy and this Eagles offense, you know, like they had a hard enough time supporting both AJ Brown and Devontae Smith.
45:33Yep. Are they going to be able to support Devontae Smith and maybe Duntabian Wicks and maybe Mekhi Lemon?
45:39Dallas Goddard. Dallas Goddard. Hollywood Brown once in a while.
45:41It is going to be an adjusted offense. I just have less confidence for those reasons on top of the fact that
45:47Mekhi Lemon has been out for a lot of training camp.
45:50Understood. Upside city, all these players, maybe with the exception of the first one that I mentioned, as of right now, we're
45:56going way outside of the top 100 in ESPN draft data.
45:59Yep. So keep in mind that if you see them go earlier than this, that's fine.
46:04I'm just telling you right now on ESPN on average, they're going much, much later than this.
46:08Maybe the most intriguing name, maybe the guy that generated the most heat this preseason amongst rookies, John Stribling.
46:14Yep. 33rd overall pick. Big height, weight, speed guy coming out of Ole Miss via Oklahoma State and Washington State.
46:19Was great for Ole Miss in the playoffs last year with Cooked against Miami.
46:23Can really run. Precise route runner. Good after the catch.
46:26And he had seven catches in the Niners preseason opener.
46:29There's a world in which week one, the Niners tried out Mike Evans, Christian Kirk, Debo Samuel, George Kittle as their four top pass catchers.
46:35And it wouldn't be totally surprising, right? Like those guys all got real money, especially Mike Evans.
46:40He got real, real money. Christian Kirk got, I think like 7 million worth up to 10 or something.
46:45And Debo got a contract worth up to $7 million.
46:48It's possible San Francisco says we have a window.
46:50We'll be the third best team in our division, but we also might be a top six team in the NFL.
46:56Like we don't have time to wait on rookies.
46:59Yeah. There's also a chance in which San Francisco was like, Jesus, this is the only guy that has some consistent explosiveness.
47:05Dijon Shribling giddy up, but he has been ascending.
47:07He has become one of my favorites round tenant on targets.
47:10I could not have said it better myself. Also, his uncle's a WWE Hall of Famer.
47:15So, I mean. Really? That's important. Does that move the needle for you a little bit?
47:19Don Morocco. Yes, that's right. Wow. Yeah. So, fun fact there.
47:22I'm the wrestling guy around here. I'm the wrestling fan.
47:25But no doubt. He may lead the team in targets this year.
47:28It goes both ways, right? Wide range of outcomes.
47:30Yeah. And that's what you want to do with your, he's going in the 12th, 13th round right now and 12 teamers across the industry.
47:37It's an easy click right now. You want those potential league winners in that area of the draft.
47:42All right. So, the two Browns receivers, we'll do them together.
47:45Casey Concepcion. A little bit of Jalen Waddell to his game in college.
47:49Very explosive. Two touchdowns as the punt returner last year.
47:52Superdler, dynamic both at NC State and Texas A&M.
47:54Undersized, slight, and real quarterback concerns for me in Cleveland.
47:57So, I am generally fading this passing game with the exception of Harold Fannin.
48:01If I'm taking a shot on he or Denzel Boston, I'm still taking the shot on Casey Concepcion for this reason.
48:06I think Denzel Boston would need to win with like lots of volume and lots of touchdowns.
48:11Not sure you're going to get a lot of volume or touchdowns here.
48:15But Boston, really solid player. Great hands. Great route runner.
48:17Can play in the slot. Just the reason why he went 39th and not 24th is he's not a very good athlete for a wide receiver.
48:24Yeah, just keep in mind the pass catchers, the big three here.
48:28Wide receivers for Cleveland going in the 11th, 13th, and 15th round.
48:31Jerry Judy, of course, added to that list. So, very inexpensive.
48:34I agree with you. Concepcion is the most appealing of the trio for sure.
48:38But I think all of them are fine dart throws late in your draft.
48:42Don't forget, Jerry Judy is a very good football player.
48:44And he's been a top 25 fantasy wide receiver two of the last four years.
48:49So, he has it in there. It's possible. It's just going to be a question of what kind of quarterback play.
48:54We got a couple of like just really bad offenses that recognized through the draft, we need to just add some firepower.
49:00Browns are one of them. They added a bunch of offensive guys.
49:04Jets did the same thing. We'll get there in one second.
49:07I think we have them. Oh, sorry. Well, you can do the Dolphins next.
49:10Just quick. I don't know if maybe I have it back.
49:14No, no, no. You're right. Dolphins, Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell, both guys taking the third round.
49:18Douglas spent a pair of years at Texas Tech, 15.1 yards per catch.
49:22So, pretty good. Pretty explosive player. He had, I would say, the catch of the preseason so far in their opener against the Commanders.
49:28Uh, it's a grand opportunity for somebody in Miami.
49:31Just not optimistic about this passing game. Chris Bell looks legitimately like A.J.
49:34Brown. He's coming off of a November ACL tear.
49:37He was recently brought up from the NFI list.
49:39We'll see whether he is even on the field at the beginning of the year.
49:43I don't think Miami, who is doing it right and stripping this thing down to the studs is going to be in
49:49a rush to bring him back to the field.
49:52But, so I am, these are two capable bodies.
49:54Another set of rookies that I'm not heavily invested in.
49:57Yeah, I think Caleb Douglas, a fine late round flyer, just because he might be their guy that leads the team and targets this season.
50:04As for Chris Bell, I feel like if Malik Willis is fine, like as long as he's not a disaster, I think
50:10Chris Bell is going to be one of them like guys we're talking about on a waiver wire show on a Tuesday.
50:16At some point this season, we're like, whoa, did you see?
50:19He played a little more this week. Had some nice catches, caught a touchdown.
50:23Time to scoop him up for your bench and see, because this guy, it'll be legit.
50:27But do you think he goes in round two if he's healthy?
50:31Chris Bell? Yeah. I think he would have gone like one to two.
50:34There you go. See, there you go. Very, very explosive player.
50:37Omar Cooper Jr. in the Jets. Omar Cooper Jr.
50:40and Kenyon Sadiq from the Jets. Couple updates here.
50:42Kenyon Sadiq, hernia situation. He has missed a lot of training camp.
50:45Yeah. And Omar Cooper Jr., if you put any stock into preseason snap share, looks like he's buried right now, right?
50:51The team is talking up Isaiah Williams, an undrafted free agent of Daniels Lyons a couple of years ago, who Aaron Glenn
50:57is saying all the right things about. This could be a redshirt season.
51:01And I am approaching my drafts as such for both Jets pass catchers not investing right now.
51:05The only thing I would say there is, I remember, I'm going back to Justin Jefferson's, this time, Justin Jefferson's first training camp.
51:12And they're like, ah, Busy Johnson's taking that job.
51:14Like he's Justin Jefferson. And that's how the season started.
51:17The first two weeks, Busy Johnson was playing against head of Justin Jefferson.
51:20And then week three happened and the rest was history.
51:23That being said, it was a little different. You have Garrett Wilson, of course, there.
51:27They're talking about A.D. Mitchell. I'm a little hesitant on his upside, but he, you know, they have a couple of tight ends.
51:34They like Brees Hall out of the backfield, assuming he's going to be healthy and good to go.
51:38So I agree. I would like to see more positivity on Omar Cooper, but this might not be his year.
51:44Next up is Jeremy Bernard, third round wide receiver, second round wide receiver for the Steelers out of Alabama via Michigan State and Washington.
51:51He was playing behind that trio of receivers, Roma Dunze, Jalen Polk and Jalen McMillan during his Washington time.
51:56Goes to Alabama, becomes their leading receiver. Very reliable hands.
51:58Did not have a 50 plus yard catch during his college career.
52:02So it's going to have to be a guy that dominates in the target department, not in the big play department.
52:08And I don't know, like, am I really expecting an offense with DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman and an assortment of tight
52:14ends to get the rookie receiver that involved early?
52:16My answer is no. No, probably not. He'll need an injury.
52:19And also Roman Wilson, apparently, is a three job locked down right now.
52:23I think that'll change at some point. It better.
52:25I mean, if Bernard can't pass him out after the struggles he's had, if he scratched the times last year, that would be a problem.
52:32But I agree. I think he's well off the fantasy radar right now.
52:36This one could intrigue me. It's Malachi Fields for the Giants third round pick who came to Notre Dame for his final
52:42college season and no drops last year. Great, great hands.
52:44He ran for six, two or something at the combine.
52:47Not fast. He's a contested catch specialist. We know who wide receiver one is in New York.
52:52It's Malik Neighbors. But when your wide receiver one is coming into the season banged up and we don't know who wide
52:58receiver two is, has me sort of intrigued. There's at least there's at least a little bit of buzz here.
53:03He had a beautiful toe tap touchdown in the corner of the end zone.
53:07Yeah, you have like Darius Slain and Darnell Mooney, like guys like that.
53:11Even Odell Beckham's there. Juju Smith-Schuster's there. There's a lot of these veteran receivers and they might just like soak up snaps early in the year.
53:18But at some point you have to imagine they take a longer look.
53:21When Odell Beckham Jr. is playing in the first preseason game, do we expect him to like still be on the roster?
53:27I do not. You don't think he makes the 53?
53:30I don't know. I feel like if you're a veteran playing preseason week one like that.
53:34Calvin Ridley did the same thing. Like I dropped Calvin Ridley completely out of my ranks after I saw him get time in week one.
53:41I could be way off here. I'll just say this is and we got to rip through some names.
53:46I have an update here is if it wasn't John Harbaugh as the coach, I could if it was like a coach
53:53who was already on the hot seat, you might be like keeping for the business moves.
53:57But John Harbaugh doesn't have to worry about the business side of football.
54:00He's going to make this team notable. And remember when they signed Juju and OBJ was when it was like, oh, we
54:06might not have neighbors for a while. Now it looks like we're going to have neighbors.
54:11All right. So this is more important than the rest of these names that we'll get to.
54:16Aaron Glenn, the Jets head coach, has said that Brees Hall is going to be out two to three weeks.
54:21OK, but he expects him to be ready for the season opener.
54:24Keep in mind, season opener is three weeks and five days from right now.
54:28So if it's that three weeks, it's still going to be a little dicey there.
54:32It's going to be hard to and this is a whatever, a groin injury.
54:36So just keep an eye on that one there.
54:39We'll talk about that more during the show tomorrow.
54:41Yeah, I would just say quickly instant reaction if you're drafting today is maybe it breaks a tie.
54:46Like maybe you go the other direction. That's about it.
54:49I'm not moving. And John Judkins, Cam Scadaboo, those type of players graded or ranked similarly to or go right wide receiver there.
54:55Yeah, just really quick on some names here. Chicope Lane for the Ravens generate a lot of hype guys.
55:00I can't invest in a second wide receiver in the Baltimore offense.
55:04History has told us we can't do it there, too, even with a great camp.
55:08Cyrus Allen from the Chiefs having a great camp.
55:10I think it might be a little bit more of a story of the fact that the Chiefs are relying on a
55:16fifth round receiver to be a highlight player. Totally serviceable double digit round investment.
55:20But we'll see. Do you feel like you've heard more just like preseason hype around Cyrus Allen than you have heard about
55:26former first rounder Xavier Worthy in this Chiefs? Perhaps.
55:28But I would say this and like he could buck the trend.
55:32Every year that someone's getting pumped by the Chiefs.
55:34It's like every year. Justin Ross is it's it's I do.
55:37Yeah, that's you're right. Jalen Royals and Justin Ross.
55:40You're in a Patrick Mahomes lead offense. Any one of these.
55:43Carson Steele. Carson Steele. I was just like every year.
55:45I mean, they're one of the most well, you know, the preeminent franchise in the NFL for the last decade.
55:51Like they're going to be covered extensively. So there's been a lot of guys that have generated a lot of hype in
55:57Kansas City and have not paid off. Fernando Mendoza.
55:59We can talk about that later. Zachariah Branch for the Falcons.
56:02Excellent after the catch, but we're focused on Drake London and Kyle Pitts.
56:06Yeah. And Peter Robinson. Skylar Bell doesn't sound like he's a factor right now for the Bills.
56:11Wide receiver five. It looks like. Yep. And then Ted Hurst for the Buccaneers.
56:14More intrigued because of the Mecca Abuka injury situation, but still has a ways to go.
56:19All right. What about some rookie running back dart throats here field?
56:22We've got eight minutes left. Running back is a little bit thinner.
56:25I think it's important to know these names because they're insurance backs.
56:29Mike Washington Jr. His final college season. Yeah. Looks at that 53 yard run for Vegas in their season opener.
56:34Average over six yards per carry for Arkansas. He is the classic height, weight, speed running back.
56:39A lot of all those things. And Clint Kubiak has said he wants to be a little bit more equitable in the backfield.
56:45Fantasy wise. He's only a factor if Jente's hurt.
56:48No doubt. Emmett Johnson, fifth round pick for the Chiefs out of Nebraska.
56:51One of the positives, according to Andrew Reid, coming out of that first preseason game ran well.
56:56Thought he probably got underdrafted a little bit. It's a Ken Walker show though, right?
57:00But he's a Ken Walker insurance boss. Don't forget who his competition is.
57:04Harsin Steele. Amari Di Mercado. That's right. Amari. That's right.
57:06Keep calm. Battling for that two job. One of the surprises in the NFL draft is Kalen Black.
57:11He went the third round out of Indiana. A non-combite invitee going to the third round.
57:16That's rare. We'll see. The Niners have this history of drafting running backs under Kyle Shanahan.
57:20And they ever work out. Not really working out.
57:22Yes. Like the way he ran. Like the college production last year.
57:26But I am hesitant to invest in him. I'm not even sure that if something happens with CMC, he would be the guy to himself.
57:33I think it would be a committee. Jonah Coleman.
57:35He's been a buzzy guy in preseason. I would say this.
57:38I like the player. I like the skill set.
57:41There's a little bit of Sean Payton. He had a little bit of the same thing with Kansas City we were talking about.
57:47Every year there's a Sean Payton guy that, you know, he's buzzing.
57:50He's doing this and that, right? Marvin Mims and these guys and Pat Bryant.
57:54Not all of those have really amounted to much.
57:56So not fine as a late round dart throw.
57:59But I am not convinced that Jonah Coleman is going to have a big role.
58:03I think he might be better than R.J. Harvey.
58:05Certainly as a runner, though. So he's very intriguing to me.
58:09I feel like if something happens to J.K. Dobbins.
58:11And look, Dobbins swears he won't miss a game this year.
58:14Obviously, he can't really control that. But if something happens to Dobbins, Coleman's going to be the headliner on our waiver show.
58:20I mean, so that puts him in that tier with those late round running backs.
58:24You didn't like him down the stretch, R.J. Harvey?
58:27Not rushing efficiency. He's a capable pass catcher. And he took advantage of a good offense and scored a bunch of touchdowns.
58:33But he's going to regress to the mean in the touchdown department.
58:36And again, I think that Coleman's probably a better rushing.
58:39All of these Broncos running backs coming off the board crazy late, by the way.
58:43No one is in on either J.K. Dobbins. There's a tough backfield.
58:4613th round and R.J. Harvey, 14th round. So all of them are basically free to me.
58:50I like him. I'll probably be in on him in 27 if he's their lead back.
58:55Last name for the running backs, Adam Randall. And sorry to rip through some of these guys, but like not a great rookie class.
59:01Trevor, who finished up as a running back during his time with the Tigers.
59:05He and Derrick Henry weigh combined to nearly 500 pounds.
59:08It is a good looking running back room. I saw Adam Randall up close at the senior bowl last year.
59:13And you're like, oh my God, that guy's in the running back group.
59:17What about the tight end or the defensive end spot?
59:20He is really well built. I don't think he's particularly instinctive as a runner, but he's very unique because of the pass catching.
59:26It's the Derrick Henry show, though. It is Derrick Henry show in Baltimore.
59:30He has been Teflon Derrick Henry. So good to know who the backup would be if Derrick Henry exactly hanged up.
59:35And I think that's probably Adam Randall with a healthier dose of guys like Justice Hill.
59:40Yeah. Justice Hill more of a passing down guy.
59:42Probably not going to ever clear double digit carries in a game again, barring disaster.
59:46But Randall is an underrated insurance running back. I'd say it's a guy who we're not really talking about.
59:52But as soon as something happens to Derrick Henry, like who's the guy?
59:55And he's probably candidate. You know, he's going to get the goal line work and probably lead that team in carries him,
60:01which should be a pretty good offense. So don't forget that name.
60:04All right. Want to head to the mailbag. But first, we had a poll that we put out at the beginning of the show.
60:11Nope. Sorry. Never mind on that. We're going to some questions from the mailbag.
60:15This one comes from Orion. Orion wants to know what round is too high to take Stribbling?
60:20Mike, as our high aficionado, what high is too high?
60:22First round's way too high, I would say. Let's see.
60:25I'm looking at the names because I have him at 54.
60:28I keep moving him up. I've been drafting him, so I'm getting him in this range.
60:32But once you get to like, I'm looking at eight through 10, where it's like Jaden Reed and Worthy and Quentin Johnson and now Josh Downs.
60:40I think that is the vicinity. Maybe a hair ahead of that, like a Jordan Addison level, because it's not crushing your team if you miss.
60:47Right. And the upside is terrific. If you remember, this is an offense.
60:50It's probably an average nine or so yards per pass attempt, which is the extreme.
60:54That's like, but it's normal for Kyle Shanahan's offenses.
60:57So he should be highly efficient when he's on the field.
61:00And if he is an every down player, he's going to pay off at that ADP.
61:04Like it. So that's like ninth, tenth round, you're saying?
61:07Yeah. Okay. Somewhere in that range. So about ninth to tenth.
61:10Before that would be a little too. Before that's probably a little too high.
61:14I mean, I'm not going to crush you for like round eight, but you know.
61:18Sixth round. There's so much opportunity. Exactly right. You're doing something crazy there.
61:21Yeah. Yeah. All right. Next question that we have from our YouTube chat.
61:25This one comes from Riley Nagel wants to know, has Olave's value grown with Tyson being out for two months?
61:31Thinking of getting him as my wide receiver one.
61:33Mike, did you move the projections at all with this Tyson injury?
61:36Yeah. I moved Olave up a little bit as target share.
61:39I had projected down a hair from where he was last year.
61:43And now it's kind of meeting in the middle a little bit.
61:46So I did move him up ahead of Garrett Wilson, AJ Brown.
61:49And I guess I had him ahead of Malik Nabors already.
61:52So moved him up two spots. That's a potential.
61:55Is that wide receiver one range? Wide receiver ten?
61:57Ten. Ten. Yeah. Yeah. I think I have him wide receiver 11.
62:00He finished six wide receiver 12. So there wasn't a lot of room for him to grow.
62:05Right? So I think it's two things at once.
62:08It's a positive. It's also not, doesn't dramatically shift his outlook.
62:11Right. I think there's still a little bit of, while this injury can help Chris Olave, Chris Olave has dealt with his
62:17own thing that gives a little bit of some yellow flags as a part of drafting him as well, which is, you
62:23know, at least some of the thought process that I have.
62:26Yes. Unfortunately. All right. One more question that we have here from chat.
62:29We're going to do our poll from earlier. In fact, guys, are you excited to draft any Colts wide receiver?
62:35Yes. Who are the 22% of sickos that said yes?
62:37And who do they want to draft? Oh, Mike.
62:40Mike just spammed the vote for a hundred of them.
62:43That was all me. Yeah. Look, it's just the fact that Alec Pierce has fallen so far.
62:47I get to a point in my draft where I'm like, I'll take that shot because if he's active in week one,
62:53I'm going to be in a really good spot.
62:56Yeah. We're on one side of the ledger and you're on the other side of the ledger.
63:00I get it though. I get, I get why people, I don't know.
63:04It's hard for me to get fired up after them right now.
63:07I agree. Best ball feels different though. I love Alec Pierce and best ball.
63:11Very different conversation though. All right. We're coming back tomorrow.
