Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection20:02

Brock Bowers delivered a top-tier performance in Week 3 with 27.6 fantasy points, meeting the high expectations set for him during the draft process.

Insight page

Bryce Young

NegativeMatchup43:28

Bryce Young is a viable streaming option for Week 4 against the Detroit Lions, who have consistently allowed high fantasy point totals to opposing quarterbacks and pass catchers.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeInjury55:32

Bucky Irving exited the game with an undisclosed injury and spent much of the fourth quarter on the sideline.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeInjury53:40

Devon Achane suffered a knee injury that is described as not very optimistic by Jeff Hafley.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

NegativeUsage5:02

Deebo Samuel recorded 80 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 despite having zero receptions and zero targets, as the production came via a lateral from Mike Evans. While he remains fantasy-relevant, this performance was not PPR-friendly.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

NegativeBust27:22

Denzel Boston was a disappointment in Week 3, recording only two catches for 20 yards on four targets. While he remains on the fantasy radar, he failed to deliver the flex-worthy performance expected.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeBust38:54

Drake Maye has failed to hit double-digit fantasy points for three consecutive weeks, and it is time to bench him. He is not a must-start, and managers should be flexible enough to stream the quarterback position rather than remaining tied to his summer ADP.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveUsage21:58

Garrett Wilson is the alpha receiver for his team, recording 10 catches for 107 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets in Week 3. He is a must-start wide receiver moving forward due to his massive volume.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveValue18:32

George Kittle is a high-value asset, recording six catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3. He has strong chemistry with Brock Purdy and is arguably the team's primary pass-catching option.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

PositiveProjection16:43

Harold Fannin is seeing his fantasy production increase weekly, recording seven catches for 51 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3. He is now ranked as a low-end TE1 (TE11-14 range) moving forward.

Insight page

Jeremy Ruckert

PositiveSleeper10:36

Jeremy Ruckert emerged as a viable streaming option in Week 3, recording five catches for 39 yards and a touchdown for 14.9 fantasy points, capitalizing on increased opportunity.

Insight page

Josh Allen

NegativeProjection28:54

Josh Allen had a mediocre passing day in Week 3 with two interceptions, but his rushing ability (eight carries, 22 yards, two touchdowns) saved his fantasy day. He remains a top-tier option despite the tough matchup.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeBust30:36

Justin Herbert is a drop candidate after a disappointing 12.7-point performance in Week 3 and a brutal upcoming schedule of defenses. He has struggled with efficiency and the team's offensive distribution.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeInjury54:11

Justin Jefferson exited the game with an ankle injury, returned briefly, but ultimately went to the locker room and did not return.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveProjection13:23

Juwan Johnson is the clear leading tight end for his team, recording seven catches for 53 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3. He is expected to remain a primary option until there is a change in the depth chart.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

NegativeUsage32:26

Keaton Mitchell saw usage in Week 3 but was inefficient, recording three catches for negative five yards and a touchdown. His involvement is a concern for the efficiency of the backfield.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

PositiveBreakout14:09

Kenyon Sadiq is an elite athlete who showcased his potential in Week 3 with seven catches for 105 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. While his opportunity was boosted by teammate absences, his performance suggests he will earn more playing time.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

NegativeUsage33:30

Ladd McConkey was not a focal point in the offense in Week 3, as the team spread the ball around to nine different pass catchers. Despite the lack of volume, he remains a difficult player to bench.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeUsage35:20

Malik Nabers is struggling due to poor quarterback play, converting only five of six targets for 26 yards; while he shouldn't be benched, expectations should be lowered, and he may be relegated to a flex option depending on roster depth.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeInjury55:14

Mark Andrews left the game in the second quarter with a hand injury after recording only one catch.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveBust50:06

Marvin Harrison Jr. is considered droppable as Michael Wilson has emerged as the clear primary target in the Arizona offense, drawing 17 targets for 89 yards and a touchdown.

Insight page

Noah Fant

NegativeProjection13:17

Noah Fant recorded four catches for 33 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3, but there is skepticism regarding his consistency moving forward despite the high-scoring output.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveProjection37:16

Terry McLaurin is performing well with Marcus Mariota, recording nearly 20 fantasy points on six of nine targets for 77 yards and a touchdown. Historical data shows he averages 16.5 fantasy points in games where Mariota drops back at least 20 times.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

PositiveProjection8:51

Travis Kelce provided a solid 14-point fantasy outing in Week 3, catching two passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. Despite only seeing two targets, his ability to find the end zone keeps him valuable.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveUsage12:01

Trey McBride remains a target monster, recording nine catches on 11 targets for 75 yards in Week 3. His value is high because he is not touchdown-dependent, consistently providing strong yardage totals.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

NegativeUsage9:10

Tyler Warren remains a high-volume play, recording nine receptions on 10 targets for 55 yards in Week 3. While he hasn't reached the elite tier of tight ends, he is providing a consistent floor of 10-14 fantasy points, which is bolstered by Alec Pierce being on IR.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

PositiveSleeper51:59

Zach Charbonnet should be a top waiver wire priority as he appears poised for a changing of the guard in the Seattle backfield, given the continued struggles of Jadarian Price.

0:32What up, friends? Welcome into Fantasy Focus, Monday morning Rapid Reaction alongside Liz Loza.
0:37Hello, Elizabeth. Hello. Nice to see you, Daniel. Sorry that I'm not in Bristol, but I am still happy to be here
0:44because it was like a topsy-turvy, weird, but very wonderful day for fantasy and football in Week 3.
0:50Yeah, some of us got some dubs. We love being able to talk about that.
0:55We're going to dive into all the things, a quick rapid reaction.
0:58First and foremost, though, a quick peek behind the curtain in case this is your first time listening.
1:04It's Sunday night, about 8.15 my time, 5.15 p.m.
1:07Liz's time. We're diving straight into the stuff that we saw.
1:11Not really a deep dive necessarily, but a little bit of a rapid recap of all the things that we saw from this week.
1:19So, Liz, with that, let's dive into our very first What the Fantasy?
1:23Boy, that escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand fast.
1:27Well, let's start, Daniel, with Jameer Gibbs. I mean, you must have been out of your mind in the best way possible
1:34while watching him roll up 40 fantasy points. Yeah, 20 carries, 99 yards, two touchdowns.
1:39Like, I love the two touchdowns. Wasn't super efficient on the ground.
1:43That's okay. He makes his plays where he makes his plays.
1:47The big thing is, man, through the air, seven catches for 65 yards and a receiving game touchdown as well.
1:53Three total touchdowns for the second time this year.
1:5641.4 fantasy points. The dude was just unbelievable. He is clearly making the case as to why he deserved to be 1.01.
2:03100%. And also, ironically, I was watching this game with some Lions fans.
2:07We'll get into that on Facts vs. Feelings this Thursday.
2:11A little tease, if you will. And your fan base is so fascinating because I thought they were going to be thrilled jumping up and down.
2:19And yet they were, but they were also like, you know, this isn't going to last.
2:24No knuckles there to support him. Dan Campbell's just going to run him into the ground.
2:29And I was like, yo, just can you be happy in the moment, please?
2:34Girl, I'm so glad that you weren't here pre-show because I said to our producer, should I be worried about how many
2:41touches Jameer Gibbs is going to have at the end of the season?
2:45So I'm glad. That's all right. I want to be excited now.
2:49We'll worry about that's next year's problem, right? Right now we are living in Jameer Gibbs world.
2:55We love a punting on the problem. 100%. That's right.
2:58What about you, Liz? What's your WTF moment? Well, I thought it was fascinating that Debo Samuel could register 80 yards and yet not record a single reception.
3:07It was zero. Zero reception. So he had 80 yards and a touchdown with technically zero catches or zero targets because Mike Evans lateraled the ball to him.
3:16So there was this box score anomaly. We are going to get into the 49ers in a little bit, but Debo Samuel doing wide back like things.
3:25And we love to see it, especially on a day when Mike Evans exited and Deshaun Watson obviously still on IR.
3:32The 49ers will host the Broncos in week four.
3:35So Debo Samuel looking rather fantasy relevant despite not having a lot of receiving volume next week.
3:40I think it's going to be really fun to see this week.
3:44And by the way, if anyone's listening to this now is your call to action.
3:49I want to know because he didn't have a reception on that play.
3:53Did anybody lose by a point or less because he had 80 receiving yards and a touchdown, but zero receptions?
4:00If you lost because of that, please send us your line up either to me or Liz or at fantasy focus on social media.
4:08We would love to be able to see that.
4:10All right. Not PPR friendly that play. Oh, definitely not PPR friendly.
4:14But you know what is friendly every single week?
4:17Jackson Smith and Jigba. Liz, he just won't quit.
4:2010 catches, 128 yards, two touchdowns on 14 targets for 35.36 fantasy points.
4:24We thought there was going to be some regression, right?
4:28Because it's tough to repeat what he did last year, but I haven't seen it yet.
4:33New play caller, different quarterback in week two, and none of it matters.
4:37He also threw for a first down in this game.
4:40So what a multi-dimensional skill set this guy has.
4:43He's managed six total touchdowns over three weeks. He's managed at least eight receptions in every single game and cleared 120 receiving yards for three straight weeks.
4:52If you drafted JSN as your first wide receiver, man, you are very happy and deserve a pat on the back.
4:59Yeah, feeling good right now. All right, with that, Liz, let's dive into our biggest takeaways from week three.
5:05And here we go. Liz, it was the week of the tight end.
5:09As like our resident tight end whisperer, you must be feeling good right now.
5:14I mean, the tight end that I thought would smash this week did not.
5:18He did not exploit a matchup that I thought was very good.
5:22But sure, I am very pleased with this list of 10.
5:26Shall we start at the bottom and work our way up from Travis Kelsey onwards?
5:31Okay, Travis Kelsey at Miami. Obviously, the Chiefs heavily favored by double-digit points in this effort.
5:36And Kelsey gets you nearly 14 fantasy points. You're not mad at that at all.
5:41He caught two balls for 59 yards and found the end zone yet again.
5:45Love that. Only two targets, but at least he found the end zone.
5:50My guy, Tyler Warren, I have been standing for him all offseason.
5:53Been waiting for him to take over. Still didn't do a whole lot in this one from a production standpoint.
6:00Only 55 yards and didn't find the end zone.
6:03But he had 10 targets and turned that into nine receptions.
6:06Good enough for 14.7 fantasy points, Liz. This was, again, against a tough Houston defense.
6:11Even though it hasn't materialized into the top tier, Tyler Warren, that we thought we were drafting, at least it hasn't made
6:18you feel like you made a mistake because he's delivering you solid around 10 to 12 to 14 fantasy points right now
6:26through the first three weeks of the season. And with Alec Pierce on IR, Warren is going to continue to be a
6:33high-volume play, so you can't get mad at him.
6:36You called Warren your guy, but I think this next player, Jeremy Ruckert, was your guy.
6:41Because shouts to you, maybe you're trying to Wally pit me as the tight end whisperer.
6:46You mentioned him earlier in the week, so go ahead and take a bow, baby.
6:51Here's the thing. I said this when we were doing our Raheem Mostert fund.
6:55If there's someone under 1% rostered that could potentially score a touchdown this week with no Mason Taylor, how about a backup tight end not named Kenyon Sadiq?
7:05Because I already thought he was going to be very involved.
7:08Why not find another one? And then it actually happened.
7:11Five for 39 and a touchdown for 14.9 fantasy points.
7:15I mean, I didn't need amazing. I didn't need it to happen against my own team, but I appreciate the shout-out.
7:21How about Trey McBride? Do we need to give this kid a shout-out?
7:26Because he's actually towards the bottom of this list, surprisingly, Liz.
7:29Yeah, he managed 16.5 fantasy points. No big deal, right?
7:32Like, just over 15 fantasy points from your tight end.
7:36He has spoiled us, frankly. Nine catches for 75 yards, converting 9 of 11, I should say.
7:41So he remains a target monster. No touchdown. But the beautiful thing about Trey McBride is that he is not touchdown dependent
7:48like most of the other players at this position.
7:51You are not wrong. All right, I'm going to put the next two together here, Liz.
7:57Noah Fant had four for 33 and two touchdowns.
7:5919.3 fantasy points. And third in Juwan. My guy, Juwan Johnson.
8:03Seven for 53. And two more touchdowns. Tyler Shuck threw four touchdowns to tight ends this week.
8:09Good enough for Juwan. 24.3 fantasy points. I feel like this is just going to continue rolling right now until we see more Jordan Tyson.
8:17At least with Juwan Johnson. Correct. I'm with you on that.
8:20Yeah. Yeah, I agree with you. But Juwan Johnson remains, obviously, the leading tight end.
8:25It's nice to see Noah Fant, after years of waiting for him to break out and become the red zone target that
8:32he was promised out of college, have some of this.
8:36But I don't really want to bite because I'm not sure how consistent it will be on him.
8:41Still agree with you. Johnson is the guy. I also want to talk about someone who is turning into a guy with a capital G.
8:49It's Kenyon Sadiq. Ugh. What? I mean, there do not exist enough superlatives to properly describe this guy's upper end athleticism.
8:56Out of college, 100th percentile speed, 100th percentile burst, 99th percentile catch radius.
9:01And you saw that come together despite not seeing a ton of targets.
9:05I mean, in this one, he did see eight looks.
9:08We'll get into why in a second. But his touchdown grab was spectacular.
9:12It's beautiful. And all of that athleticism was there.
9:15He ended up with seven catches for 105 receiving yards and that aforementioned touchdown.
9:20A little bit of an asterisk, though. I don't really want to give it.
9:24I think we should, though. No Aidy Mitchell in this game and no Mason Taylor.
9:29So that did boost his opportunities, you have to imagine.
9:32I think, though, after showing like this, though, he's going to earn himself more playing time.
9:38I was just going to say, you don't want to fault somebody for being in a really good position that they should take advantage of.
9:46And then they do take advantage of it. But then we only highlight this only happened because these things didn't take place.
9:53It's like, no, he did all the things we wanted him to do in this moment.
9:58So I'm totally with you. He is way, way, way, way on the radar right now.
10:03Yep. He looked good again, Liz. Seven for 51 and two touchdowns.
10:07Are you noticing a theme here? We've got a lot of touchdown equity at the tight end position this week.
10:1424.1 fantasy points for Harold Fannin in a win against the Carolina Panthers.
10:18Well, his production, both on the field and virtually via fantasy, is increasing every week.
10:23And I like to see him more and more folded in.
10:26I was predicting that he would start to climb in week three.
10:30I just thought it would be because there was a change at quarterback.
10:34That hasn't happened. Deshaun Watson is playing pretty well.
10:37So I'm going to keep ranking Harold Fannin moving forward as a low end tight end one somewhere in, depending on the
10:44matchup, that tight end 11 to 14 range. But we know that this is a potential outcome.
10:50And that's why he's going to stay there. If we just cut to the end of that analysis, Liz, every time you
10:57said stuff about Harold Fannin, it was, which is why I think he'll start being really good in week three and beyond.
11:04That's all we need. You called it. You were on point with this one, right?
11:09That's all we need is the end of it.
11:12What about George Kittle? That guy is someone we were both very excited about over the summer.
11:18Go ahead. Great value. Great value. If you waited, he was a ninth round or 10th round draft pick for the majority of the offseason.
11:26Six for 82 and two touchdowns for George Kittle.
11:29Seven targets. 26.2 fantasy points. Him and Brock Purdy are just locked in with unbelievable chemistry.
11:34It's clear that he is their number one, not number one, number two, but I think he's their number one pass catcher, to be honest.
11:42And he really crushed me in starts of the week.
11:45If you listen to the show, Mike started both him and Brock Purdy.
11:49So I'm not super pumped about that, Liz. 26 fantasy points.
11:53Obviously, we mentioned the injuries to the 49ers receiving Corso Kittle remains incredibly valuable.
11:58This next guy, this last guy. Yeah. Yes. Don't call it a comeback.
12:02The top tight end for the week thus far.
12:0527.6 fantasy points for one. Brock Bowers. They call him double B's, but not for the reason you might think.
12:11That's fair. They call me double B's, but not for the reason also that you might think.
12:17See how I served you up on that one?
12:20Yeah. I actually, it caught me off guard. There was a pause there.
12:24I had to figure out what I was supposed to do with it.
12:2827.6 fantasy points. Like you said, this is what we were expecting when we drafted him as the number one or number two, tight end in football.
12:37By the way, like I think Kirk Cousins has been slinging it, Liz.
12:41He has thrown three touchdowns for three straight weeks.
12:44Wild. Unbelievable. Oh, like it's Fernando Mendoza even going to see the field this year or is Kirk Cousins just going to hold down this job?
12:52I mean, I think Fernando Mendoza is like trying to figure out how to ask out Addison Rae in Vegas.
12:59Okay. That's my guess. Okay. All right. All right.
13:02Well, huge week for the tight end position. Obviously, we went through all of the top 10 there.
13:08When all of the top 10 scored above 13 and a half fantasy points, you know you had a really nice week.
13:15Let's talk about the rest of the week, Liz.
13:18Garrett Wilson, him and Geno Smith. If you streamed him this week against my Detroit Lions, holy smokes.
13:24They smashed. 10 catches for 107 yards and a touchdown.
13:2713 targets for Garrett Wilson. 26.7 fantasy points. We'll talk about this a little bit when we talk about the Panthers coming up here from their game.
13:36But looking ahead, knowing that they take on Chicago this next week, Liz.
13:40Yeah. Volume's too good. Even though we don't know what's going on with the Chicago Bears team.
13:45But there's no way I am benching Garrett Wilson after what I've seen to start this season.
13:51No, it turns out the Jets offense and Geno Smith much more stable than people anticipated.
13:56Garrett Wilson's volume is monstrous. He is the team's alpha.
13:59And, you know, looking ahead, he's going to remain a low-end wide receiver.
14:04One, for fantasy purposes, at Chicago, I don't see the Bears secondary really improving moving forward.
14:09Every day is better with donuts. But who wants that sugar crash?
14:13Five-Hour Energy has two bakery classics with none of the guilt.
14:16You might want the raspberry flavor of a jelly donut five-hour energy shot.
14:20Or maybe the rich and silky vanilla combo of the Boston cream donut five-hour energy shot.
14:26Either way, you're getting the guilty pleasure of a bakery with none of the guilt.
14:31New jelly donut and Boston cream donut five-hour energy shots available at fivehourenergy.com and on Amazon.
14:36As you know, managing maintenance, repair, and operations is never easy.

15:58Availability varies by state. Piece about Geno. Like, you're not starting him outside of a two-quarterback league, obviously.
16:03But the fact that he has supported the rest of this offense is what we are digging.
16:09And I love that this week, a week that I thought, and this will become a theme, unfortunately, if you have seen
16:16the way that teams have played the Detroit Lions, this was another situation where can I use Geno potentially as a streaming
16:23option against soft matchups this week or this year?
16:26This week, you saw that he could potentially deliver for you later on this season when he has another nice matchup.
16:33And not to jinx anything, but he has yet to throw an interception so far this season.
16:39Girl. Girl. Girl. Feels great, honestly. All right. I love it.
16:42You know what doesn't feel great? Denzel Boston. This one was disappointing.
16:46I was kind of talking this one into a flex.
16:49Yeah, I was pumped about it. He was the only one that kind of looked like he had any sort of connection.
16:56Obviously, with Deshaun Watson right now, we thought sooner or later we were going to see Deshaun Watson.
17:02And it feels like Deshaun Watson is going to be the quarterback here again for another week.
17:08Instead of it being a Denzel Boston week, it was just a Harold Fanon week.
17:13Yeah, Boston did not get the volume. We anticipated just four targets in this one, two catches.
17:18He did find the end zone in weeks one and week two.
17:22Sometimes we're going to have a game like this, a day like this.
17:26I think Boston should remain on the fantasy radar.
17:29He just wasn't flex worthy like we thought he might be in week three.
17:34Agreed. Agreed on that one. Did you know that Josh Allen is, in fact, not Superman?
17:39He does have some earthly qualities. I mean, everybody's got to have a Clark Kent moment.
17:44Okay. Thank you. That's true. You're not wrong. 17.4 fantasy points.
17:48Wasn't great. Two interceptions. Here's the thing. Josh Allen can run the ball like no other quarterback in the NFL.
17:54Eight carries, 22 yards, and two touchdowns. That carried him here.
17:58Otherwise, it did not look great. We didn't see Dalton Kincaid.
18:01He wasn't in that list of tight ends that we just mentioned, Liz.
18:06So he wasn't great this week. No. No, he certainly wasn't.
18:09You know, the Chargers defense, obviously very desperate, really tried to fluster Allen through the air, and that worked.
18:15I mean, they sacked him four times. But to your point, Josh Allen can do all the things.
18:21And so his two rushing scores saved his day.
18:24And that's why people drafted him as early as they did.
18:28He's going to face the Patriots in week four.
18:31And I don't expect him to come any further back down to earth, if you will.
18:36So Liz, if you wanted to take a moment and talk to managers of Justin Herbert to let them know how they
18:43should handle the situation moving forward, what would you say to them?
18:47I mean, I've dropped him. And I really did bite on the preseason hype.
18:51I fully bought it. But see, the joy of a deep position and value added is that you can often roster two quarterbacks.
18:59That's what you and I, in fact, often recommend to people during draft season.
19:03And since I also rostered Tyler Shuck, I've been okay.
19:07Love that. So I mean, Justin Herbert, 12.7 fantasy points in this one.
19:11He did find the end zone. So one touchdown, also one interception, only completed 20 of 34 passes.
19:17And in week four, he gets the Seahawks. So yikes.
19:20So here's the thing with this team. Like, I think you have to keep starting Omari and Hampton because he's a running
19:27back and what the running back position is and what his touchdown equity could be, even though not very efficient.
19:34Let's talk. He was not efficient. Yeah. His efficiency really was not great in this one.
19:39I believe that he just managed four more yards on six more carries than Keaton Mitchell, who I'm sorry I interrupted.
19:46I think you were about to talk about. Well, that's the thing.
19:50Keaton Mitchell had three catches for negative five yards and one touchdown.
19:53That's not very efficient, Liz, but it was getting the job done, unfortunately.
19:58And this is one of those things. I think it is going to be a problem if we start seeing a little
20:05bit more Keaton Mitchell in this one. It just felt like everybody got involved this week.
20:10Like, Ladd McConkie wasn't a focal point the way that we thought he should have been.
20:15There was too much spreading the ball around, and he spread the ball around and did even win the game.
20:22Yeah. Nine different pass catchers drew a look in this one.
20:25To me, that is also evidence of Mike McDaniel just like mad scientist trying to figure something out, but it's not working.
20:32So here's the thing. I think I'm out on Justin Herbert.
20:36I think you're right in dropping him. Ladd McConkie is going to be tough not to play because he's still Ladd freaking McConkie.
20:43It's not his fault. But these defenses, just for everyone to know, coming up, here's what they have for this offense.
20:50At Seattle, then Denver, then at Kansas City, then a bye, then at the Rams, then Houston, and then at Baltimore.
20:57That is just an unbelievably wicked run of defenses to go up against with an 0-3 start, by the way, when you played Arizona, the Raiders, and Buffalo.
21:06Yeah, bad vibes. We're going to see what happens there.
21:09Yes, we'll continue to talk about that because it's one of the most interesting situations, most disappointing situation in all of fantasy
21:17football, without question, through the first three weeks of the season.
21:20Agreed on that. What about Malik Neighbors? Liz, unfortunately, with Jackson Dart not being there, it doesn't feel like Jameis is old Jameis.
21:28It just feels like Jameis is old. Is old.
21:31Right? He's only 32. But yes, I agree with that analysis.
21:34I mean, if you're talking about disappointing, we figured that Malik Neighbors would manage enough volume to drag whoever was under center
21:41into production, and that Jameis Winston would be better given a week, right?
21:46He wasn't immediately called into action. He's had time to prepare for this game, but the connection is definitely off.
21:52As for Neighbors, he converted five of six for just 26 receiving yards under eight fantasy points.
21:58Yeah. I don't know, Daniel, though, like looking ahead, I know we're just like rapidly reacting and letting it live in our
22:05bodies and we'll digest it and talk about it and give analysis throughout the week.
22:10But right now, immediately, you're not benching him, right?
22:12But maybe depending on your roster, you're just using him as a flex.
22:17Yeah. I think that's more of what it is.
22:20I may have a flex option that is playing better or a better situation materialized than where Malik Neighbors is at right now.
22:27So again, I will not be benching him. I'm with you on that.
22:31But lowering expectations for sure. I thought we, Liz, and by the way, just to move on with this, I was lowering expectations to the Commanders wide receivers.
22:40Same division. Looks like Marcus Mariota is totally fine keeping them, at least Marcus, excuse me, at least Scary Terry afloat.
22:47You know, spooky season is coming. So maybe this is when Scary Terry will come into form.
22:53We have to give our colleague Marcus Grant a shout out because he did have some interesting stats telling people not to freak out about Terry McLaurin.
23:02This stat didn't come from him, but I do have one.
23:05McLaurin registered previous to this effort six career games with Mariota dropping back at least 20 times and averaged 16 and a
23:12half fantasy points per game during those efforts. He got over 20 fantasy points today.
23:17So we don't mind. I'm sorry. He got nearly 20 fantasy points today.
23:21Converted six of nine looks for 77 receiving yards.
23:24Found the end zone. So I think if you're looking at around 16 fantasy points from McLaurin with Mariota under center, that
23:31is reasonable based on the data that exists. Yeah.
23:34Feeling good about that. I would love to get that many fantasy points from one Drake May, Liz.
23:40It's been three straight weeks that he has not even hit double digit fantasy points.
23:45At this point, I totally understand benching him. You've got to have a second quarterback that's better, right?
23:51I 100% agree with you. I mean, Kirk Cousins ripped off three touchdowns again.
23:55But on Tuesday when I was on fantasy focus, I was like, guys, I don't want to start him.
24:02And then I feel like I was convinced because of the big three injuries to the quarterback position that we had to do it out of necessity.
24:10I didn't want to do it. And I don't, I mean, I don't want to start him at Buffalo.
24:17I feel like I am okay at this point with Drake May, who didn't even manage four flipping fantasy points in this effort.
24:24If he goes off on my bench and I am just stashing him in case there's a turnaround based on the talent that we saw last season, fine.
24:33Then that will be my green light to start him moving forward.
24:37But until that happens, I'm not even going to get salty about something happening on my bench because I'd rather it occur
24:44there than him continuing to like put a grenade in the rest of my roster.
24:49I totally agree with you, Liz. Just like in the real NFL, I think, and tell me if you disagree with this,
24:56but like in the real NFL, players that have a higher draft price often get a longer ability, a longer line.
25:03Yeah, yeah. Yes, right? And when it's fantasy football, I do the same thing.
25:08There's like a little bit of draft equity. You know, I invested this much into a guy.
25:13That only lasts for so many weeks, obviously. You get to a point where it doesn't mean anything.
25:19Drake May isn't one of those guys, though. Drake May was not an early round pick.
25:24Drake May was in the middle round. So it shouldn't be that hard for you to move on from where you grabbed him, I don't think.
25:33I mean, I think two quick things. He was the QB3 coming off of most boards.
25:38But your point is positional. You talked about Omarion Hampton earlier, right?
25:42Like at the running back position, you are going to treat that differently than you will quarterback because quarterback is so deep
25:49because Geno Smith, you can stream because Kirk Cousins, you can apparently stream.
25:53You don't need to start Drake May. So I want people to feel like they don't have to be as tied to
26:00their ADP over the summer at the quarterback positions.
26:03You have to be a little bit more flexible based on, you know, the player.
26:08Bryce Young's hype train, unfortunately, kind of slowed down a little bit in Cleveland.
26:13Yeah, I don't really love that here against Cleveland.
26:15Both Jalen Coker and Tedderall McMillan, not great. Jalen Coker got banged up in this one.
26:21He was banged up coming into the game and then also got injured while he was in the game and left early.
26:28That would have maybe made you think that Tedderall McMillan would get a little bit extra love here.
26:34Didn't really work out that way. Bryce Young, only 13.6 fantasy points.
26:38But let me ask you this question, Liz, if you don't mind.
26:41In spite of Bryce Young playing so poorly, if you had Drake May and Bryce Young was on the waiver wire and
26:49you knew he drew the Detroit Lions next week.
26:51Lions who just gave up 23 fantasy points to Tyler Shuck, 40 fantasy points to Josh Allen, and 26 fantasy points to Geno Smith.
26:59Excellent. Do you think that you would be grabbing Bryce Young and potentially playing him over Drake May this week?
27:06Well, I can't go on a tear about... Every game day starts before the lights go up.
27:11Before the snap. Before the roar. Something's already at work.
27:15Cleaner. Quieter. Energy. Production. Running where the game lives.
27:17Strong enough for fourth and goal. Smart enough for what comes next.
27:21Powering game day. Powering the fans and powering the communities that show up every Saturday.

28:08Many people's first serious relationship didn't start with a kiss.
28:11It started with a kickoff. Or perhaps it was love at first hike.
28:16But unfortunately, many of these football lovers don't live in the same city as their team.
28:21Which is why Marriott Bonvoy has hotels close to nearly every NFL stadium.

28:30So if you want to stay closer to your team, check in for game day with Marriott Bonvoy, the official sponsor of the NFL.
28:37We'll see you there. Sitting Drake May and streaming at the position and then not, in fact, stream at the position because
28:45that's what you do when you play the matchup.
28:47So yes, I would play Bryce Young against your Detroit Lions if I was choosing to stream, which I think people should do.
28:55Also, if I get some DMs about Darren Waller because he has found the end zone and he's surprised again.
29:01Guys, I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying emotionally I can't do it.
29:06Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you on that.
29:09I am in on pass catchers though. Even though Teddero McMillan had a bad week and Jalen Coker left early.
29:15Pass catchers against the Lions. I just want to tell you this really quickly.
29:20Liz, week one, Chris Olave had 28.2 and Devon Vele had 19.9 fantasy points.
29:24Both of those are really good numbers. In week two, Dalton Kincaid had 22.5 because DJ Moore got banged up and missed that game.
29:32He just took over. In week three, Garrett Wilson had 26.7 and Kenyon Sadiq had 23.5.
29:37There's been at least one 20-point score on the other side of the Detroit Lions every single week that is not the quarterback.
29:45I don't know why you're doing this to yourself, buddy.
29:48You're going to be rolling out those stats for the rest of this week.
29:53So it's personal. I hope that this is cathartic at least.
29:56Oh, it feels. No, it does. It helps to be able to get it out because here's the thing.
30:02It creates a great fantasy matchup when I'm watching my Detroit Lions.
30:06That part I can at least buy into. I'm not buying into Marvin Harrison Jr.
30:11I'm out. Right? We're done at this point. He's droppable.
30:15If I had Marvin Harrison Jr., I'm dropping him and moving on because it seems clear that Michael Wilson is the guy.
30:22I mean, I think Arizona's about to do the same thing.
30:25When I'm listening to their head coach talk about his jogging style and some sort of like vague defense of him, get out of here.
30:33And also, I think to your point, no MHJ, no problem because Stanford grad Michael Wilson goes absolutely off.
30:40He drew 17 targets. Michael Wilson did. He converted 11 of those for 89 yards and a touchdown, nearly 26 fantasy points.
30:47We're not messing around with Marvin Harrison Jr. at this point.
30:50Jeremiah Love, though, starting to round into form. Would you agree?
30:54Looking fantastic. 21 carries, 90 yards, 15, excuse me, five receptions for 19 yards.
30:58Wasn't super efficient, but he did find the end zone.
31:0221.9 fantasy points. I'm not going to ask for anything more than that from Jeremiah Love.
31:07If he's going to give me 20 plus, I'm going to be fine with the way he gives it to me.
31:14So no issues there. Yeah, his former college teammate, Jadarian Price, however, did not impress yet again.
31:19I think it's time that we got to maybe start grabbing Charbonnet wherever possible and planning for a changing of the guard,
31:26but one that is much more positive. Yeah? Yeah, Charbonnet rostered in about 50% of league, so he should be a heavy
31:33waiver target this week with the way that they have started at the running back position in Seattle.
31:39Doesn't feel good because I was all in on Jadarian Price, and it just feels like I swung and missed this one.
31:46There was an opportunity there for this young kid that was drafted early on to take over a backfield, a Super Bowl winning backfield.
31:54And through the first three weeks, unfortunately, we have not seen it.
31:58I think just like you said. It's getting worse week after week.
32:02Zach Charbonnet has to be a top waiver priority for you guys this week.
32:07Ouch, baby. Very ouch. All right, Liz. There's unfortunately a lot of injuries to dive into here for week three.
32:13Why don't you give us the information we need to know?
32:17All right, let's rip through it because it's never fun.
32:20Devon A. Chan suffered a knee injury. Jeff Halfley said after Sunday's loss to the Chief that A.
32:26Chan's knee injury, quote, does not sound very optimistic.
32:29Brees Hall suffered a thigh injury. He was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Lions.
32:35In the fourth quarter, we'll keep everyone updated on that as more information materializes.
32:39Jalen Coker, we mentioned earlier, suffered a quad injury.
32:42Now he came into the game with an ankle injury.
32:46He is, quote, not concerned, but we should be and we will keep tabs on it.
32:51Justin Jefferson, an ankle issue. This is not turning out to be the bounce back effort that we were hoping for Justin Jefferson.
32:58He exited in the first back, came back onto the sideline with his ankle taped, but then went back into the locker room and did not return.
33:07Mike Evans, we discussed earlier, suffered that rib injury.
33:10Travis A. Chan left the game with an undisclosed injury in the second half.
33:14Mark Andrews hurt his hand. He left in the second quarter after catching just one of three targets.
33:20Baker Mayfield, ooh, this one was rough at the end of the contest.
33:25He was screaming in pain after trying to extend the play.
33:28It looks like it's a thumb issue. We're obviously managing that one.
33:32And then Bucky Irving, also a Tampa Bay Buccaneer, exited with something that was undisclosed.
33:37He was on the sideline for much of the fourth quarter.
33:40It's unclear when or how he picked up the issue, but obviously moving forward as more information comes to light, we will update everyone.
33:48That is the list of injuries for week three.
33:51Too long of a list of injuries, to be honest, but I really appreciate the info and we will continue to monitor those throughout the week.
