Player insights

32

Alvin Kamara

NegativeInjury18:03

Alvin Kamara is currently dealing with an injury with an expected recovery timeline of about a month; his role as an aging veteran back is already small and could be further reduced if Travis Etienne performs well early in the season.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveProjection24:10

Mike Clay suggests Baker Mayfield could finish as a high-end fantasy quarterback if he remains healthy, noting his ability to put up significant passing numbers.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeProjection44:17

Brian Thomas Jr. is viewed as a high-variance player similar to Quinton Johnston; while he has the talent to finish as a top-10 receiver, the current team outlook suggests Parker Washington is the more consistent option for targets.

Insight page

Calvin Ridley

NegativeUsage61:13

Despite being 32, he remains on the roster and is expected to have a role in the offense, which could impact the target ceiling for other receivers.

Insight page

Chigoziem Okonkwo

PositiveSleeper48:41

Chigoziem Okonkwo is a sleeper tight end (TE19) who could benefit from a move to Washington's offense. Despite a history of low goal-line usage, his consistency (50+ catches in three straight seasons) and the potential for a high-scoring offense under Jayden Daniels make him an intriguing value.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

NegativeProjection64:12

There is concern that he may not return to his previous form, which could open the door for Jalen McMillan to earn more targets.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

PositiveValue31:44

Courtland Sutton is a preferred target over Jalen Waddle due to a three-round ADP discount; he is expected to see similar production to Waddle but with higher touchdown upside due to his role near the goal line.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveProjection53:46

Expected to face touchdown regression at age 33, which opens up target and scoring opportunities for teammates like Terrence Ferguson.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveValue34:18

Garrett Wilson is ranked ahead of Zay Flowers and is considered a high-ceiling asset; he is a strong trade target even if it requires giving up Zay Flowers, as his potential remains higher despite his current situation.

Insight page
PositiveValue36:45

Mike Clay prefers Garrett Wilson in a trade scenario over Zay Flowers, noting that the Marshawn Lloyd factor makes the trade worthwhile for the side receiving Wilson.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeBreakout55:39

Likely is a high-upside breakout candidate in the Giants' offense, but his fantasy value is capped by his limited blocking ability, which may keep him off the field in run-heavy sets. Theo Johnson could also eat into his target share.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

PositiveBreakout63:41

A late-round sleeper who showed high-end production in his rookie year. If Chris Godwin struggles or if there are health issues with other receivers, McMillan could push for a significant role by mid-season.

Insight page

James Conner

NegativeRole19:52

There is pessimism regarding James Conner's early-season role in Arizona due to the presence of Tyler Allgeier and Jeremiah Love, with the expectation that the team will need to feature their younger playmakers.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveValue19:12

Jeremiah Love is a high-conviction target whose ADP has fallen to 23 (early third round), which is considered an appropriate or even undervalued spot for a rookie with superstar potential; he is expected to be highly productive if he reaches 15+ touches per game, and his ankle injury is progressing well.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveBreakout7:23

Field Yates projects a breakout for Jordan Love, noting he was a top-eight fantasy QB in nearly 27% of his starts last year and possesses mobility that separates him from pocket-only passers. Yates expects the Packers' offense to be more Love-centric with a streamlined group of pass-catchers including Tucker Craft, Christian Watson, and Jayden Reed.

Insight page
NegativeProjection10:47

Mike Clay is pessimistic about Jordan Love's fantasy outlook, ranking him 22nd and doubting he will reach QB1 status. Clay cites a lack of rushing production (under 300 yards and one TD over the last two years) and a conservative, slow-paced offensive scheme under Matt LaFleur as limiting factors.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

PositiveValue30:06

Keenan Allen is considered a borderline rosterable player who is likely droppable if Alec Pierce is healthy, as he lacks a clear path to fantasy relevance given the target competition in the Colts' offense.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

NegativeProjection45:41

Ladd McConkey is expected to take on a primary role in the new Mike McDaniel offense. While he saw high usage in the slot last year, his efficiency plummeted; the team is banking on improved efficiency to justify his draft cost.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveSleeper23:30

Mike Clay highlights Malik Willis as a deep sleeper at quarterback, currently going as QB24, specifically due to his dual-threat ability.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveUsage41:52

Mike Clay identifies Parker Washington as the Jaguars' clear WR1, noting that in 21 games with at least 50% route participation, he averaged a 20% target share and 12.2 fantasy PPG. Despite rising ADP, Clay believes he is Trevor Lawrence's primary target and will maintain his role over Brian Thomas Jr.

Insight page
NegativeValue59:39

Drafted 50th overall in a recent mock, representing a 'faith play' on his talent as a receiver.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeProjection23:55

Mike Clay ranks Patrick Mahomes as the 15th quarterback, noting that his fantasy production last year was heavily buoyed by early-season rushing and expressing interest in seeing how his passing game evolves this season.

Insight page

T.J. Hockenson

PositiveValue58:31

Currently available at a 'free' price point in drafts, making him a value target despite previous concerns about his status.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveBreakout51:55

Terrence Ferguson is a massive, athletic tight end who could emerge as the third target in the Rams' offense. Despite competition from Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee, his elite athletic profile and usage as a deep threat (17.5 aDOT) suggest significant breakout potential.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout53:46

Ranked at 15 due to expected touchdown regression for Davante Adams; could become a primary touchdown target for Matthew Stafford. While competition from Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson, and Davis Allen creates volatility, he remains a strong breakout candidate.

Insight page

Theo Johnson

NegativeUsage57:36

Could potentially occupy the Mark Andrews-style role in the Giants' offense, which poses a threat to Isaiah Likely's touchdown upside.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

PositiveBreakout18:13

Travis Etienne is viewed as an amazing pass-catching running back with a prolific track record dating back to his time at Clemson, where he set the NCAA record for most games with a touchdown scored; he is positioned to potentially expand his role if he plays well while Alvin Kamara is sidelined.

Insight page
PositiveRole28:46

The analysts discuss Travis Etienne's potential for an increased role in New Orleans, especially with Alvin Kamara currently injured. Etienne is praised for his elite pass-catching ability, which was his calling card coming out of Clemson.

Insight page

Tyler Higbee

NegativeUsage55:06

Expected to remain involved in the Rams' offense, potentially siphoning targets and touchdowns from other tight ends like Terrence Ferguson.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

PositiveUsage60:08

Expected to be a PPR beast with high catch volume; showed field-stretching ability last year, proving he is more than just a short-area receiver.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeValue34:18

Zay Flowers is a valuable wide receiver, but he is ranked behind Garrett Wilson, making him a secondary piece in trade scenarios involving Wilson.

Insight page
NegativeBreakout37:08

Field Yates ranks Zay Flowers as his WR16 and a breakout candidate, citing his strong finish last season (WR7 in PPG from weeks 14-18). However, there is hesitation regarding his ceiling, as he lacks goal-line work and faces increased competition from a healthier Rashad Bateman, Jacoby Lane, and Derrick Henry.

0:24Welcome to Fantasy Focus Football, alongside a sleepy Mike Clay and a very tired VJ.
0:28My name is Daniel Dopp. My name is Daniel Dopp, here for a live show of Fantasy Focus.
0:33Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry guys.
0:35Listen, it has been a week so far. Fantasy Football Marathon is in the books.
0:39Two straight days of being able to do a ton of fantasy content with you guys.
0:44We are a little bit tired, though. Yeah, we are.
0:46Last night, we wrapped up our draft around 11.30 p.m.
0:49last night, and it's a late one. I had Sports Center at 12.10 a.m.
0:53after that. I don't know about you guys. Did you just get to go home and sleep?
0:58I mean, I tried to sleep, but... How do you sleep after doing that?
1:01So much adrenaline after them shows. Exactly. Yeah, so...
1:04After dominating that mock draft, I could not fall asleep.
1:07I went home and I fed a baby. So, yeah.
1:09Oh, look at you. You go from working to working, feels.
1:12It's true. But she cooperated, which was great. Very proud of the young people.
1:16Love that. Love that. Well, we got a very fun show on tap today, and by fun, I mean we are going
1:22to be a little loopy, but we're going to have some fun being able to dive into some breakouts for this year.
1:28Each one of us brought a breakout at each one of the positions.
1:32We're going to dive into that. First, a quick shout-out to our buddy Eric Moody.
1:36Follow him on social media at Eric and Moody.
1:38Normally, he's in the chat, which he is today.
1:40He's also here in Bristol in the control room hanging out for one more day before he heads back home.
1:46So, give our little guy Eric Moody a little bit of love.
1:49He's not little. He's actually the biggest person on the team.
1:52It's true. It's true. Former offensive lineman. Moody is well built.
1:55He could probably bench a lot of reps at 225 pounds.
1:58You mentioned we're doing breakouts. I have a question and a statement.
2:01I guess I'll start with the statement. I am going to try, from now until the end of the preseason, to make
2:07sure that I continue to get some new fresh names in.
2:10Players that we haven't discussed as much, and I think I've said my piece on Justin Herbert and Colston Loveland and Derrick Henry.
2:17If something notable happens with those players or their teams, we'll talk about it through that lens.
2:21But my names today were guys that I don't think I've talked about as much this preseason.
2:26I wanted to get some additional thoughts off my chest.
2:29That's my statement. And I think we're all kind of aligned, like going forward.
2:32We want to do it last. I would say, yeah, I did the opposite this time because this was in the middle of the marathon.
2:39We came up with these, so I just listed my favorite quarterback running back.
2:43I didn't think much through it, but I said the same thing before the show, which is like, this might be the
2:49last time I talk about Jeremiah Love today. Like, we've done it enough, but I'll put it on the board today.
2:55One last time. One more time. Official breakouts. And then, you know, I've said, there's this stat I've been saying every day, and I'm tired of saying this.
3:02The stat that you say every day is that Jeremiah Love is an Arizona Cardinal.
3:06Yes, that's it. That's it. That's right. The question is, do you guys have a strict definition of a breakout?
3:12No. Okay. No, it's all relative. There's different types of breakouts.
3:15There's guys that maybe can go from wide receiver.
3:17Think of JSN, right? Jumps from like wide receiver 2-3 to an elite receiver.
3:21And then there's guys that come out of nowhere, or a guy like a late round flyer, an undrafted guy who becomes a fantasy starter.
3:28So, yeah, there's different levels to it. I feel like there, I mean, you could say the last couple years we've been
3:34waiting for Kyle Pitts to be a breakout. Because we saw it for a second in his rookie season, right?
3:39And then there were a couple years where he kind of fell back.
3:43Can you re-break out if we've already seen it once?
3:45I think that's part of my criteria, even though I might have seen it at one point.
3:50If you have a couple seasons where like things kind of go down or something like that, you can break out again.
3:56I think a good example would be like Justin Herbert, who had that one spike season.
4:00Like four years ago. He just said, we're not using Justin Herbert.
4:04I know, but I'm saying like... Mike wants to make the case.
4:07But I think that's a similar example, too. Like he did have that one good year, and then he disappeared for a long time.
4:13But if he does leap up and he falls, he pays off like you think, and he gets into the top five, I would consider that a break.
4:21Didn't that rash break out again this year? He was telling me about it during the break, too.
4:26Still don't have a good answer for that. I haven't made a rash reference in probably 18 months.
4:31It's been a minute. But there's just no better time to do it then.
4:35Can't you re-break out? Yeah. All right. I'll put it back on the shelf for another 18 months.
4:39Back like the elf on the shelf. All right, Field Yates, quarterback breakouts.
4:43I'm going to start with you, my friend, because I know how much you love love.
4:47Yes. I've been saying that all half season two.
4:50Time to talk J-Love. Jordan Love. And so one thing about making a breakout case is that there are some stats that
4:56can work to help paint the picture as to why the player is going to break out.
5:00Sure. But the point is, like, you're expecting a leap of some sort.
5:04So prior year stats don't tell the full story about what you think the player can become.
5:09But I would say this. Jordan Love last year was a top eight quarterback in four of his games that he played,
5:15nearly 27% of his starts because he did not play a full 17-game season.
5:18Jordan Love has shown some level of upside previously.
5:21He also had five games with over 20 rushing yards last year.
5:24He had just one of those in 2024, which is to note that I can't tell you he's going to have five more games with 20-plus rushing yards.
5:32But we're always looking for pathways to fantasy success.
5:34Jordan Love is a mobile quarterback. He's not going to use his legs a ton.
5:38He's not Lamar Jackson or Jalen Hurts or Drake May.
5:41But he's mobile enough that he's not going to be a Jared Goff, a Matthew Stafford, a Kirk Cousins-type quarterback who only
5:47has to throw for 4,500 yards and 40 touchdowns.
5:49No big deal. Mike has talked about how he sort of sees this Packers offense.
5:53And I'm in alignment here. Kind of like we are sort of streamlining things, right?
5:57We are streamlining. It's not going to be nine different receivers that play meaningful roles and catch passes.
6:02It's going to be a lot of Tucker Craft at tight end with Matthew Golden, Christian Watson, Jaden Reed as the three pass catchers.
6:09I think this offense is just going to be more Jordan Love-centric.
6:12I haven't missed quarterback 16. So I'm saying breakout.
6:15It's somewhat relative. But that's three spots higher than anybody else.
6:18I think this is a really good real-life player who I think will take a step forward as a fantasy player as
6:24the Packers put more on his plate this year.
6:26One of my favorite, I'm not going to say late-round targets because where I like him is if you take a quasi-risky QB1, he's one of my favorites.
6:34All right, I'm going to pair a, just making this up, Caleb Williams with a Jordan Love.
6:38The only time that a Packers and a Bears quarterback can get along is on my fantasy roster.
6:43This is a tough one for me. We're not aligned on this one.
6:47I think it's a long shot he's going to be in the QB1 conversation.
6:50He flirted with fantasy relevance in 2023, but it's kind of been really bad the last couple of years.
6:56I know that he may run more than like a Stafford or Goff, but I mean, he has just under 300 total
7:02rushing yards over the last two years combined and only one touchdown.
7:05And also, it's got to be a schematic change too.
7:08So like first thing is coming maybe to an extent, but also like Malafleur also runs a very slow offense too or kind of limits plays.
7:15It's so conservative and I just don't know if that part of it's going to change.
7:19So it's going to be balanced. It's going to be probably slow.
7:22He's not going to run enough. I mean, he really is going to need a tremendous passing season and maybe that does
7:28happen, but I don't know if it gets to the level of like where Baker was two years ago or where Matthew Stafford was last year.
7:35I mean, Jared Goff puts up enormous passing numbers and can barely hang in the top 10.
7:40I mean, love has to really get to that level.
7:43So maybe maybe this is the year that happens, but I'm a little more pessimistic, especially with all the depth ahead of him.
7:49Guys that do run guys that have that passing upside.
7:52I just can't get there. I'm 22 on my board and I don't know if I'd go much higher than that.
7:57Half full. No, this is that too. This is cold water.
8:00Oh, that Mike. Mike is throwing some water. I don't understand like after all the things that we just did, why you
8:06would wake up and choose violence against field like that.
8:09It's been seven minutes into the show. Wrong stuff.
8:11One player objective. That's what he said wrong. He's a NFL player, but he's just not a very good fantasy quarterback.
8:17Can I peel the curtain back a little bit as well here?
8:20Yes, please. Remember how I mentioned that like I'm trying to talk about some fresh faces and new blood.
8:25Yep. We've talked about a lot of quarterbacks up to this point already.
8:29A lot. I know. I appreciate that part of it.
8:32The Williams case. We've talked about that. I know.
8:34I know. Not that you guys can't mention those players.
8:37I don't know. I was. It's like, who have we not discussed that much?
8:41Did I have a level of optimism on it?
8:43And I do have optimism. He's my quarterback 16.
8:46So I'm not, I'm not giving you my quarterback 25.
8:48Like I'm not making the CJ Stroud case as a breakout this year.
8:52But Jordan Love has my interest more than Mike.
8:54And I think probably more than. Yes. I'd say Stroud and Love feel similar from a fantasy perspective though.
8:59I loves a better player. Loves a better player.
9:02I can't trust CJ. Ice cold. I don't either.
9:04I don't trust either in fantasy. Mike, if you were going to throw a dart at someone to break out at the quarterback position, who would you pick?
9:12Jackson. Oh, hey. Yeah. Again, I feel like I feel like now because of field set to table, I have to find like a deeper one as well.
9:20But I already picked our graphics are set. We picked our names.
9:23Dart is my favorite quarterback target this season for sure.
9:26We saw what he did last season, 12 games.
9:28He had eight top tens, which is fifth, fifth most among quarterbacks.
9:31Tremendous rushing potential to tremendous rushing production last year.
9:34And he was fine as a passer with a pretty poor supporting cast, to be quite honest.
9:38So with Malik neighbors out there now, and they had some good depth with Darnell Mooney and you have Isaiah likely at tight end.
9:45And I believe it's year three now for Theo Johnson as well.
9:48I mean, they just have the pieces in place here to really make a leap forward.
9:52So I think the sky is the limit for Jackson Dart.
9:55And he remains my primary target at quarterback, although across the industry, he's generally going like in the ninth round.
10:01And somebody took him in the seventh round of a 10-teamer last night on national television.
10:05This guy. I was not thrilled. But you know, what's funny about it is I had to settle for Dak Prescott and
10:11Bo Nix, a quarterback like who I have ninth and tenth in my rankings at quarterback.
10:15Like that position is so deep, so deep. Patience at quarterback.
10:18I actually really liked the Jackson Dart pick. You know, it has to suck.
10:22And if you're watching, you can see this. If you're listening, I apologize.
10:26It's got to suck to be one of the other Giants wide receivers besides Malik neighbors.
10:30You know why? We show some clips right there.
10:33And this is a guy who's coming off of a gigantic knee injury and he moves so much faster than everybody else.
10:39Yeah. Like it's got to be humbling. It's like, we play the same sport.
10:42Like there might be some Giants wide receivers that make more money than Malik neighbors right now because he's on a rookie contract.
10:49Oh, I don't know that. Oh yeah. No, I saw, um, I saw a video the other day.
10:54It was a difference between a good, great and elite wide receiver.
10:57And it was the Vikings and they were running the same routes.
11:00It was Jawan Jennings. It was like, Oh, pretty good.
11:03And it was like Jordan Addison. Like, Oh, he's probably better.
11:06And then Justin Jefferson goes and you're like, Oh my, just that's not like that guy's not even like human compared to them.
11:12It's unbelievable. So unless you, you are ridiculous. When it comes to LSU, Ohio state, I don't understand how you get all these wide receivers.
11:19It is remarkable. Who's your pick Daniel? Well fields, you and I understood the assignment.
11:23So we wanted to go with a couple of guys.
11:26No, I literally did follow the assignment. Mike, I'm not even talking to you.
11:29I was talking to feet. No, I followed you.
11:32I wanted to hear more about your thoughts. I ended up going, I love you, Michael, just for what it's worth.
11:38I went with Tyler Shuck here. Ooh, deep cut.
11:40This is a deep cut. I have them a little bit higher than you guys.
11:44I've got them at QB 13. You guys are just outside the top 16 with Tyler.
11:48One of the things that I'm looking at is he didn't play for the entirety of the beginning of the season.
11:54Didn't even play until week 12. After week 12, that was his first start.
11:58This is what he did. 17.4, 21.3, 18.1, 17.1, 21.9, at least 17 fantasy points across the board in every single game as a rookie.
12:05Yeah. After not playing for the entirety of the season.
12:07This is one of the things that we want to see, which is a rookie being able to take an opportunity, especially towards the end of the year.
12:15Give us a little bit of pump, a little bit of zhuzh as my friend Liz says to be able to see what he could be.
12:22I do think that the Saints are going to be an ascending team in the NFC South this year.
12:27The Jordan Tyson thing puts a little bit of cold water like Mike would do on your takes on this one, unfortunately.
12:33However, I still love Tyler Shuck. I think if he uses his legs and this offense does what it can do, I
12:39don't think that it's crazy to think the comp of Tyler Shuck could be similar to what Bo Nix was last year.
12:45Okay. He checks a lot of the right boxes, a second year quarterback, mobile quarterback.
12:49That's good. I would say that not a dominant supporting cast by any stretch, but intriguing supporting cast.
12:54Absolutely. Like Chris Olave leads the way there when Jordan Tyson's back.
12:57That certainly helps as well. Confidence should be sky high right now.
13:01It's a division that does not have any defenses that I'm like, all right, you have of those six division games.
13:06You've got two where you're playing, you know, this kind of hurts to be in the NFC West.
13:11If you're Brock Purdy, he's an amazing player. He's got four ridiculously tough matchups against the Rams and the Seahawks, which we
13:17saw what happened to him against Seattle late last season.
13:20So I don't hate the Tyler Shuck call at all.
13:23Yeah. He had put decent numbers together as a rusher and passer.
13:26You have a high ceiling, but the supporting cast is not good.
13:29It is much better now. I mean, at some point I'll have Tyson.
13:33You mentioned a lot of a obviously Travis Echan as well.
13:36So yeah, I like that call for sure. Also, you know, he, I guess we shouldn't be shocked if he's going to
13:42be a decent quarterback that it happened quickly. Cause remember he was an older prospect.
13:46It's seven years. I just, I just confirmed this cause I was very close, but he's actually older than Trevor Lawrence, which is crazy wild.
13:53You know, you wouldn't think he's older. A lot of these guys were talking about two years older than like CJ Stroud has been around for a while.
14:00So he should be polished and he looked polished late last season.
14:03So yeah, I do like this one. Yeah. All right.
14:06Let's take a quick look at the running. No, I want to do mine.
14:10Malik Willis is mine. That's my deep. How dare you?
14:13That's a good. If I, if I was, yeah, if, if it was more like a, a deeper breakout player, Malik Willis
14:19certainly would be on that list because of his dual threat ability.
14:22I'll give you a little trivia here as we get to, oh, there's the quarterback ADP.
14:26So Malik Willis is Mike's deep sleeper. He's currently going as quarterback 24.
14:30There are some red flags for all of these players on the board, really starting at Patrick Bahomes.
14:35I was just going to say 15th ranked quarterback him at 15.
14:38A lot of what he did last year was buoyed by his legs earlier on in the season.
14:43I'm interested to see what he's going to look like this year from a passing game perspective.
14:47But I wouldn't be surprised if Baker Mayfield finishes like QB.
14:50He's another one of those guys. He can put up big passing numbers if, if a book is healthy.
14:56I mean, he can do that for sure. But that just goes to show the depth at that position.
15:01As you know, managing maintenance, repair and operations is never easy.
15:04But for the ones who always rise to the challenge, Grainger has your back.

16:37Maybe a little bit of trivia here. And bear with me, I did need to reduce the qualifier by one yard to make this work.
16:43But there are five running backs that have at least 1,399 scrimmage yards in three of the past four seasons.
16:49Okay. I wish it were 1,400, but it's instead 1,399.
16:52That works. I'm going to give you four of them.
16:54Okay. You guys can see if you can guess the fifth.
16:57All right. Derrick Henry? Yep. Good. Saquon Barkley? Good.
17:00Christian McCaffrey? Good. B. John Robinson? Good. I would say three guys who are maybe already Pro Football Hall of Famers if
17:06they retire today, and a fourth in B. John who's on that trip.
17:09On the way, yeah. Can you guess the fifth?
17:12Kyle Hughes check. He missed it by three yards, too.
17:14Stop. That's a tough one. For sure, it'd be a fullback.
17:17Me, too. I was thinking Alec Ingold. I understand why you went with.
17:21I actually saw the paper, so I can't guess.
17:23I also saw the paper. Tell me who it is, though.
17:26It is Travis H. Ann Jr. Yeah. I love these goofies.
17:29Actually, it was Travis Etienne. That was Travis Etienne.
17:32Actually, it was. At the time, it was Travis Etienne.
17:34So I don't know if we can trust any of these stats now.
17:38It's a new guy, right? This is why I think the terms break out sort of subjective, right?
17:43Because he's been a good player in three of his four NFL seasons.
17:46He also, at times, feels like he was not utilized to his full capabilities in Jacksonville.
17:51And he had some competition, some competition for opportunities, especially last year when the offense kind of found its footing.
17:56The Saints gave him a huge contract this offseason for a running back.
18:00I think it was four years. $53 million to be precise.
18:03Alvin Kamara is currently banged up. I know that the expected timeline is around a month.
18:07I would just say that when it's an older veteran back who's kind of like hanging on for a role as it
18:13is, that window being open for Travis Etienne, like if he plays well in the first couple of weeks, the Alvin Kamara
18:19role, which is probably already small to begin with, could just be reduced further.
18:23Etienne's an amazing pass catcher. Coming out of Clemson, that was his calling card was he is one of the best pass
18:29catching running backs amongst prospects we'd seen in the past few years.
18:32When he came out of Clemson, he also had set the single, excuse me, set the NCAA record for most games with a touchdown scored.
18:39Like he's been a prolific player at every level.
18:41We have confidence in this offense as we just discussed with the lens of Tyler Shuck.
18:46Mike was talking about how the Packers are one of the slowest offenses in the NFL.
18:50Not many offenses are faster than a Kellen Moore offense.
18:53A lot of plays, a lot of opportunities here.
18:55If A-chan is RB11 at the end of the year, I won't be surprised.
18:59Even in a year where we feel like there's 14 really strong running backs to begin the board.
19:04I agree with that. That's good at all. Mike Clay, where are you going with your make-out pick?
19:09Field loves the wrong love, but I love the right love.
19:12Jeremiah Love, of course. I've talked about him over and over again.
19:15Actually, I'm going to change my stats slightly. I'm going to make it a little more specific, okay?
19:20Right. I've used it so much. The last nine running backs drafted in the top 12 finished top 11 in fantasy points.
19:26I was a rookie in fantasy points. So 12 is like a nice round number I was using.
19:31Yeah, it rolls off the tongue. It does. But it actually is top 11 because Gentie finished 11th last year.
19:36Yeah, look, I'm obviously all in on Jeremiah Love.
19:39His ADP has fallen a little bit. I took him in the late second round in our draft last night.
19:44Often he goes into third. I don't want to take a chance of missing out on him.
19:49I'm keeping a close eye on very similar to Alvin Kamara.
19:52James Conner status in Arizona. I'll be obviously frustrated if he has a role early in the season.
19:56I'm pessimistic that's going to happen. I just don't.
19:59I don't see that happens with Tyler Algier there.
20:01And obviously Jeremiah Love. But here, the bottom line is even if they try to start him slow the first week or
20:07two, I think it's going to be too good to keep him off the field.
20:11He's going to, especially an offense that are a team that needs good things to go right for a team that's going to struggle this year.
20:18They need playmakers. I think they're going to have to feature him this year.
20:22And if he gets 15 plus touches a game, I think he's going to be super efficient and highly productive.
20:28And frankly, the number might be higher than that.
20:30A couple of things to note here. First, I did see a photo on Instagram or social media somewhere of Jeremiah Love
20:36carrying pizzas up a staircase to get into an airplane as the Cardinals are flying to their final preseason game.
20:42Is that like a rookie? I think it's, yeah, rookie sort of responsibilities, if you will.
20:46Sure. And another sign that that ankle is progressing nicely, right?
20:49If he was... He can carry all them pizzas?
20:51But more so just like, you know, if there's any risk whatsoever, you're not making the third overall pick on the draft,
20:57walk up a set of stairs that's just been pushed up to an airplane, right?
21:01Yeah. These aren't exactly like, you know, an architectural masterpiece that he was walking up there.
21:06That's number one. Number two is my fear, so to speak, on Jeremiah Love after he was drafted was, is he going
21:12to get up to the range of where people were taking Ashton Gentry last year and B.
21:16John Robinson when he came out? Because if Ashton Gentry has, excuse me, if Jeremiah Love has a season like either one
21:22of those guys and he was being taken ninth overall, I get it.
21:26Yes. It would still be a top 12 running back, but it would be a disappointing season.
21:30Like, as somebody who rostered Ashton Gentry in the war room last year, who took him, I want to say like sixth
21:36to eighth overall, somewhere in that sixth to eighth range, it was a disappointing season.
21:41Like, it just was, even if he still finishes a top 12 back.
21:44I mean, it was sixth to eighth overall and he finished 11th, so yeah, I mean, of course it was.
21:49There it is. There it is. Rookie duties. Rookie duties is what we're calling it.
21:54Looking healthy, looking strong. Yeah. That's my guy. Exactly.
21:56That's a lot of pieces. That's a lot of boxes.
21:59Is that seven pizzas? Seven pizzas. That's like a Mike Weekend Fest right now.
22:03Yeah, it really is. And by the way, he's also, I think he's drinking the old school Gatorade out of a can.
22:08The best. Wow. It's the best. Wow. Like, I absolutely loved Gatorade out of a can back in the day.
22:14I wish it was available more readily around stores in Connecticut.
22:17Anyways, if he has one of those type seasons and he was going ninth overall, it'd be a problem.
22:22But his ADP, not just because of the ankle, but also because there's some really good running back options this year that
22:28have been there and done that, his current ADP is 23.
22:31Like, to me, if he's RB11 after being drafted 23rd overall, no, I don't consider that an amazing season.
22:36I don't consider that a disappointing season. I consider it an about right season.
22:40In ESPN Standard Leagues, 23 means he's coming off the board at the beginning of the third round.
22:45You just said last year that Ashton Gentry was drafted somewhere between like pick six and eight.
22:49I mean, a lot of leagues for sure. Yes.
22:52So it would be like if, you know, if Jonathan Taylor finished his, finishes RB11 this year, you'd be like, that sucks.
22:58This feels like, unfortunately, even though all the things you're saying about Jeremiah Love, and I don't think any of us disagree
23:04with the superstar potential of him, this just feels like a more appropriate spot for a rookie right now, especially with where
23:10the top of the running back room is. I think we just have, I think two things is people are making sure
23:16to stockpile running backs early and just like a lot of veteran backs find themselves in a good spot.
23:21Who's your pick? I decided to go deep with this one because this bears running backs to the moon this year.
23:27I understand. We've been talking about DeAndre Swift. He's already kind of broken out.
23:31How about Kyle Monungay? Listen, Kyle Monungay, I think is in a spot and this would be a breakout for real.
23:36If it really happens, he had a couple of weeks last year where he looked really good taking over for DeAndre Swift.
23:4217.4 fantasy points as running back 12 in week seven, over 22 fantasy points in week nine, over 19 fantasy points in week 13.
23:49When he was given the opportunity, we saw him look very good in this offense.
23:53I think there's at least a chance that this becomes a little bit more of a two headed backfield.
23:58Like we saw down the stretch last year, even though DeAndre Swift clearly going to be the RB one of this squad.
24:04That's not in consideration. I don't believe, but if anything happens to him, I think Kyle Monungay has a shot to be
24:10able to continue to do more within this offense.
24:12We saw him do really well last year and I just keep coming back to in my head, right?
24:17This isn't a stat, but it is a narrative.
24:20Ben Johnson told all of us he wants to score more points than anyone else ever in the history of the NFL.
24:26If that happens, sometimes I just want to load up on guys at the position.
24:30And Kyle Monungay is the cheapest of the bears to load up on in drafts right now.
24:35So as far as like a late round insurance running back that could break out if the situation was right, I really love the situation.
24:41Let's be honest. This was the hardest position to find a break.
24:45Oh, easily. Running back is the hardest one. There's a couple ones that stand out like we didn't do.
24:50Like Bashal Toon would have been a logical one that's popular.
24:53I should say he's like a very popular breakout player.
24:56That's a good one. I hear you. Oh, God.
24:58No, no. You go. That's the problem. I was going to say, he averaged like seven fantasy points.
25:03Guys, I'm diving deep. If I just wanted to see the guy that was drafted third of the world.
25:08But here's where you lost me. Here's where you lost me, though.
25:11You said DeAndre Swift obviously will remain the lead back.
25:14I mean, that's the end of him as a breakout barring injury, right?
25:18I mean, I just, unless you think they really can support two fantasy starters at running back, I don't know how this works.
25:24Have we ever seen a Ben Johnson-led offense support two fans?
25:27But is that what you're saying, though? That's what I'm asking.
25:30Well, I don't know. No, no, no. I just, I guess I was just like wondering if that's ever.
25:35So Kyle Mononga is as good as peak David Montgomery.
25:38And Jameer Gibbs is DeAndre Swift. Hey, that's why we're prognosticating breakouts rather than just saying, you're my love.
25:43And I'm prognosticating that you're wrong on this one, barring Swift injury.
25:46Obviously, he was outstanding. He had almost 200 yards to one game Swift miss, but he averaged under eight fantasy points per game the rest of the year.
25:54So this is actually, this is, I think, an important way to illustrate a very notable dynamic that comes into drafts.
25:59Because it's hard for me when I say like, yeah, like load up on running backs early and then Puka Nakua falls to you at pick seven.
26:07All right, listen, I'm taking Puka Nakua there, right?
26:09It's too good to bypass a player of that value.
26:12Yep. It's really not like Puka vis-a-vis Christian McCaffrey or Jonathan Taylor that I think makes the point about why we believe
26:18more often than not to lean into running backs early.
26:21Unfortunately, it's, let's call it RB33. Kyle Manungai has, in Mike's estimation, and I'm aligned with Mike.
26:25Sorry, Daniel. That's all right. No standalone value in a week, in a 10-team league, right?
26:30Like 16-team league during bye weeks, maybe. But otherwise, not going to be playing him.
26:34Whoever, I don't know who wide receiver 33 is coming off the board right now.
26:38But the name is probably his teammate, Luther Burden III, which even with Mike's understandable and logical issues with his ADP industry-wide,
26:44like Luther Burden could certainly, he could be a top 15 wide receiver.
26:47Yeah, no doubt. He wouldn't be stunned, right? If Kyle Manungai becomes a top 15 running back and DeAndre Swift remains healthy, I would be flatly stunned.
26:54Absolutely. And kind of the point is the cost, too.
26:57You know, he's going eighth, ninth round in the industry right now.
27:00Now, that's a little expensive for an insurance running back at that point in the draft, especially with the receiver talent that you have.
27:07Like one of your, the same ADP as Wondale Robinson, who is like, I feel like could be usable week to week.
27:13Oh, yeah, he will be. And then, like, I think about, again, I'm just going to add another name onto these because
27:19I want to go, I want to play this game.
27:22I wish I did, like, deeper, deeper breakouts. Did you say?
27:25A round of difficult, Mike? Not. Eighth, nine round of 12-team leagues.
27:28But, like, seventh, eighth round right now is Jonathan Brooks.
27:31So, I feel like, could be a usable running back, too, if he does take control of that job.
27:36I know you're not as high on him, but he actually has a path to standalone value if he's a 15-touch lead back in Carolina this year.
27:43He's pinned it up, for sure. I know he's going a hair earlier, but I would definitely lean that direction.
27:49ESPN Fantasy League's Kyle Manungai coming off the board in the 13th round, so not even close to that.
27:54And I recognize this is why we talk about ADP.
27:56It's different based on where you're going to play.
27:59I would also like to say, I love that I'm being taken to task for not picking a top 20 running back that has already broken out.
28:06And I just decided to follow the exercise and pick someone that hasn't done it in the league yet, guys.
28:12But it's fair. That was not the— Manungai has played in the league.
28:15My guy, Love, has not yet. Oh, my gosh.
28:18Oh, my gosh. He can go from zero-with all the way to the top 10.
28:22Your guy's going to go from 30th to 27th?
28:24Like, I don't— I asked who was wide receiver 33 and ADP, by the way.
28:28Answer right now. Cortland Sutton. So, Cortland Sutton. Yeah.
28:31But that's a more intriguing player for me based off of where he is being taken versus RB33.
28:36Let's dive into a handful of questions before we move on.
28:39We talked about quarterbacks. We talked about some running backs.
28:41You know what, guys? Before we dive into that, I do want to say this.
28:45It was really great being able to do this marathon with you.
28:49We had over what? Did we— 2.04 million teams drafted.
28:512 million teams drafted. Unbelievable. Mike only did 1 million of them.
28:55That's right. It's just the start because this is where drafts really start to kick off right now.
28:59Hopefully, you have been able to wait, and the majority of your leagues are going to happen now.
29:04I feel—you and I have a draft literally today.
29:07That we're going to start. I think it's 8.30 maybe?
29:09Yes, tonight. 8.30 tonight. We have a draft. And by the way, something that we mentioned during the broadcast last night, worth sharing here and understand.
29:17No pressure, but something to consider. V.org slash donate.
29:19ESPN is trying to raise 10 million for pediatric cancer research between now and the Super Bowl.
29:24You know, there's an often used phrase that I think sometimes rubs people the wrong way, that there is no such thing as a donation too small.
29:31There is no such thing as a donation too small here.
29:34Yeah, well said. A dollar is $1 more than nothing, and it's $1 closer to the goal.
29:39Yep. And so if you're willing and you're capable, we would certainly appreciate it.
29:42V.org slash donate. We talked about that on the marathon last night.
29:46And we are five months and 20 days away from the Super Bowl.
29:49Oh, wow. We have a countdown here at ESPN.
29:52It's pretty cool. Yeah. Obviously, ESPN's first ever Super Bowl broadcast on our network.
29:55ABC's had them previously, but the first ever on ESPN.
29:58So there you have it. Let's dive into a handful of questions from our chat.
30:02This one comes from Wild Bill Reviews. Is Keenan Allen worth the waiver pickup?
30:06Guys, so you're waiting for the draft, right? The draft happens.
30:09Yeah. How would you pick him up off the waivers?
30:12I guess it would have to be someone you put on IR.
30:15Otherwise, are you adding him off of waivers? Well, you could also.
30:18Yeah. I mean, some teams, some leagues run waivers right away.
30:21There are ways you could add him. It just depends.
30:24He's my wide receiver, 51. So it depends on who you have at the very last spot on your bench.
30:29If you drafted a defense you don't plan on keeping, you could do it there and then make the decision later.
30:35But I'm not sure how much data you can collect between now and the start of week one that would cause you to move off of Keenan Allen.
30:43But yeah, I don't think he is a reasonable end of bench player right now.
30:47Yeah. Good. I want to know what Wild Bill reviews though.
30:50Oh yeah. I want to know that too. That's my question.
30:53My quick thought. I agree with that. I would say if Alec Pierce is in active week one, we'll probably rank Allen as a flex option.
31:00If Alec Pierce is ready to go, he's going to be droppable.
31:03Like, I don't think Allen's going to have a path to fantasy relevance.
31:07He played a lot last year. A pretty decent target share in Chicago and LA last year, Chicago the year before.
31:12And he was unusable in fantasy. I mean, he was putting single digits up every week with a 20 some percent target share.
31:19I mean, I don't know if he has much left in the tank.
31:22And I don't think he's going to see a 20 plus percent target share if Alec Pierce is healthy, along with Josh Downs, Tyler Warren, Jonathan Taylor.
31:29It's just not going to happen. Okay. Let's move on.
31:32Next question that we have from our chat. This one comes from Liminal Man.
31:36We love this one right here. Hey, got to have a Broncos receiver.
31:39Who's the better choice considering ADP? Mike, I believe you talked about Corlin Sutton yesterday, right?
31:44As a part of your perfect draft. Yeah. Look, I love Jalen Waddle, the player, but he's going in the fourth round.
31:50Corlin Sutton's going in the seventh round. And I think they're going to be similar in terms of production.
31:55Waddle might see more targets, but Sutton is going to be featured near the goal line, which Waddle might not score a lot.
32:01So you might just get double the touchdowns out of Sutton.
32:04So that three round difference is pretty wide. Sutton's definitely the better target as far as I'm concerned.
32:09I still want the answer. Has Wild Bill responded to what he reviews?
32:13You know, review fantasy. We'll get Eric Moodie in chat to make sure he'll do some sleuthing and then hopefully check back
32:19in with us towards the end of the show.
32:21That just seems like a great hobby. Like, hey, I review, I don't know.
32:25Wild Bill reviews. I review Italian restaurants. You literally review football players for your job.
32:29That's true. But I'm thinking like, what would be my hobby?
32:32I'd like to review top 100 golf courses. That would be awesome.
32:35Oh, that'd be bad. There's a guy who actually, he's on social media.
32:39That's his job. All right. That's his thing. I was going to say job.
32:42He made it his job. He just goes around the top 100 courses.
32:46You think he would get better at golf? Like how much better at golf?
32:50Not much better at golf, sadly. I would maybe break 100.
32:53Oh, nice. I break 100. But not by a lot.
32:55Oh, okay. All right. As you know, managing maintenance, repair, and operations is never easy.

33:56Well, a community cycling group. The thing about Facebook, you might find more than what you're looking for.
34:00From a browse to a bike ride, this summer, find more on Facebook.
34:04One more question. One more question from our chat.
34:06This one comes from Anthony Nguyen. This one says, trade alert.
34:09I rostered Josh Jacobs. Received a trade offer for Garrett Wilson slash Lloyd for my Zay Flowers.
34:14Yep. Josh is my RB2. I accepted. I should accept, right?
34:17There you go. Honestly, like, so we have... Should accept.
34:20More to come on Zay Flowers in a moment here.
34:22But basically the deal is, you know, you have the Packers backfield essentially accounted for, and you get Zay Flowers for Garrett Wilson.
34:29So is the delta between Garrett Wilson and Zay Flowers larger than the added value of having both Packers running backs?
34:34I have Garrett Wilson ranked ahead of Zay Flowers, so obviously I'm taking that.
34:38Well, I think in this case he would be giving away Garrett Wilson to acquire Zay Flowers.
34:43I thought it said he was getting Wilson and Floyd.
34:45Or Wilson, he's getting Wilson and Floyd. Okay, my bad.
34:48Yes, okay. So that's an auto, yes. Yes, I screw that up.
34:51So basically you would get Garrett Wilson and Marshawn Lloyd in exchange.
34:55Yeah, I think someone's trying to send him Lloyd because he has Jacobs.
34:58Right. But they want Flowers instead of Wilson. And they don't trust Garrett Wilson because they're probably like...
35:03Great job. Great place for the Jets. I don't want this guy in my squad.
35:07Let me have the wide receiver from the Baltimore Ravens.
35:10Flowers is going a little before Wilson in drafts, but I have Wilson higher.
35:14I think his ceiling's much higher too, even though he hasn't shown it yet for obvious reasons.
35:18But yeah, I mean, I'm on the Wilson side.
35:21I'm okay with just the wide receiver swap straight up, like as that is.
35:25And the fact that you get an insurance running back just in case something happens.
35:29What's the worst that would happen? By the way...
35:31Josh Jacobs misses time. Do you think Wilson would even be ranked as a top 25 running back?
35:36A Floyd or a Lloyd. Yeah, that's the thing.
35:38I do want to point that out. I wouldn't go...
35:41I wouldn't necessarily trade... I'm not going to take a worse starter just to get a late round insurance running back, but this is not that situation.
35:48Right. It's just the insurance back isn't that important.
35:51Those are late round guys for a reason. They're not high priority.
35:54So if it was like... I don't know. He was going to get...
35:58Ted Rowe and McMillan had to give up Drake London to do that.
36:01No. Automatically no. Right. Like, it just depends on who the players are.
36:05But in this case, I like Wilson more. Okay, so...
36:08Mike loves Wilson. Field, who's your wide receiver breakout?
36:10Well, can I just close the pin or close the circle on that last question one more time?
36:15Is... Those are the hardest... When the question... If the question were, should I trade Garrett Wilson for Zay Flowers?
36:20Yep. Those are the hardest kind of questions for us as analysts to answer because it's like, oh, my wide receiver 12 for my wide receiver 13.
36:28Like, there's not that much conviction in those players, right?
36:30Especially if they're in the same tier, which we talked about at the beginning of this season.
36:35But they also are some of my favorite kind of trades because what it is, is it's two people that have that itchy trigger finger.
36:42And they're like, I just want to make a trade.
36:44I'm kind of shuffling the deck. Yeah. But YOLO, right?
36:47And fantasy football trades are like an instant energy shot.
36:50So I love those trades, even if they're hard to analyze.
36:53But the Marshawn Lloyd factor was enough for me to say, yes, worthwhile for the person that gets Garrett Wilson.
36:58So can you imagine trading away a guy that would break out at the wide receiver spot this year?
37:03That would be crazy. And yet I was still considering doing it in those circumstances.
37:08Zay Flowers is my wide receiver 16 and my potential breakout candidate.
37:11We've talked about Zay Flowers like not at all so far this preseason.
37:14Yep. Zay Flowers got hot down the stretch last year.
37:17And that's what kind of has me intrigued on top of some other dynamics that I will discuss in just a moment.
37:23But Zay Flowers for weeks 14 through 18, final five weeks of the season.
37:27Wide receiver 7 in points per game. That's good.
37:29He was 8th in catches and 4th in yards.
37:32No surprise, 1, 2, 3 in yards. Can you guess?
37:34No. Tomorrow chase. Actually, not tomorrow chase. Puka, Albonron, Jason.
37:37Okay. So, you know, three of the four elite receivers.
37:40Zay Flowers got hot. The Raiders, Ravens, paid him a ton of money this season.
37:44Bunches he had. $35 million per year, which is crazy because it sounds like a ton of money.
37:49It also makes him, like, I don't know, the 7th highest paid wide receiver now in the NFL.
37:54I think he's a good player. The questions have not been whether Zay Flowers is really talented or capable.
37:59It's just, is the offense going to feature him enough?
38:02Maybe I'm buying too much into the possibility of a new system.
38:05Basically, I would say the newest system Lamar Jackson has played in during his career.
38:09It's Greg Roman to then Todd Munkin to now this Declan Doyle system.
38:12You're hopeful that Declan Doyle comes in and says, that guy number four is how everything in the passing game works.
38:18There's no more Isaiah Likely. Yes, Jacoby Lane's building some buzz so far this preseason.
38:22But clearly the best wide receiver on this Ravens roster is Zay Flowers.
38:26I'm trying to build the case. I don't, you know, again, we need...
38:29There is a chance for a breakout here. There is a breakout.
38:33I think he's a solid wide receiver too. I think last year...
38:36That was not a convincing case by me. I would say this.
38:39I would not be surprised if last year was his ceiling season.
38:42Like, I wonder if he settles in a little bit.
38:45Yeah. He finished... Well, he was seventh total, what, 12th on a point-per-game basis.
38:49One of the problems with him is his role, which is kind of a short area, you know, produces with the ball in his hands sort of player.
38:56But he doesn't get much work near the goal line.
38:59And part of that is the offense. Exactly. His career high is seven end zone targets and six touchdowns.
39:04I don't know if he's going to really... Maybe he has an outlier season and he exceeds his total.
39:09He's a little lucky in that department. It's possible.
39:12But there was just so much reliance on him last year.
39:15And obviously, now you have a healthier shot. Bateman, who scored a ton of touchdowns two years ago.
39:20Jacoby Lane, there's hype there. We'll see what they get out of Mark Andrews.
39:24Derek Hendry is obviously going to be very busy.
39:26So, I wonder if last year with the numbers he put up in almost a 30% target share, if he kind of
39:32maxes out there and now settles back in. Because remember, he never finished better than 31st in fantasy points per game before last year.
39:39That was the first time. And he spiked all the way up to 12.
39:42So, that's my only hesitation. But he's just a fine wide receiver too.
39:46I think I'm just fine with him. With a chance for him to scrape a little bit higher.
39:51Maybe. Yeah. And I would say that one of the...
39:53Oh, sorry. Do you think there's any smoke with the Jacoby Lane thing?
39:57Or is it just like, how are we... We've never been able to support two wide receivers anyways.
40:02Not in fantasy. We used to have a late round bucket of flyers.
40:05Yeah. Like a literal late round bucket of flyers.
40:08I would throw him into that bucket. I agreed.
40:10You've been saying his name. That's why. Yeah. I mean, Jamison Hensley said he has been one of the most impressive rookies he's ever seen for the Ravens.
40:18I think it was rookie receivers. And he's been covering the team for 27 years.
40:22Which I think is almost the entirety of the franchise.
40:25I'll tell you what. The reason to get excited about him would be is if they do trade Rashad Bateman before the start of the season.
40:32Which I think is a long shot. It sounds like they were...
40:35Actually with... Maybe Houston called before they traded for Keyshawn Booty.
40:38Obviously, it didn't work out with Bateman. But if they do make a surprising move and he goes, then Lane becomes...
40:44That tells me, because of the situation there, that they're like, okay, this guy is legit.
40:48We have to get him on the field. We don't need Bateman now.
40:52That would be the sign. But I don't think that's going to happen.
40:55Last thing I'll say is the season-long numbers for Zay Flowers are like, wow, he was wide receiver seven in total points.
41:01Like, didn't he kind of by definition break out last year?
41:04Remember, subjective is an important word for how we're defining breakouts.
41:07And I think it's, can he be utilized and tapped into more consistently?
41:11Definitely. Tristan H. Cockroft. Yep. The great Tristan H.
41:13Cockroft writes a piece about the most consistent players in fantasy football.
41:16He's constantly tabulating who has given you what you need week in and week out.
41:20And my hope for Zay Flowers would be that it's not that he...
41:24He could even be wide receiver 11 this upcoming season, but just have a much steadier target floor week in and week out.
41:30And I would feel better about him compared to where I was last year, where he kind of spiked and dipped and spiked and dipped.
41:37He had a gnarly streak from weeks two to 13 last year where you're like, wow, zero or I think it might
41:43have been zero finishes inside the top 20. That's not great.
41:46I am with you on that, unfortunately. Let's move on and talk about the next one.
41:50Mike Clay, Parker Washington, a high round draft pick.
41:53And by high round, I mean he was drafted in the sixth round, 185th overall a couple years ago.
41:58Baller! Yeah, I actually followed the assignment. I picked a player who we actually...
42:02How dare you? How dare you? Are ranked higher than where they finished last year, unlike Zay Flowers.
42:07I'm going Parker Washington. I don't like how expensive he's getting right now.
42:10That one bothers me, but I do still think he could pay it off and will pay it off.
42:15Six rounder a few years ago. Sometimes those... I've written about this many times.
42:19Every offseason I update this because I think it's so important.
42:22But if you look at the rookie receivers who perform and receivers that break out in their first couple years in the
42:28league, they're almost all first, second, and third round picks.
42:31Almost all of them. It's so rare to find like a Juwan Jennings.
42:34It doesn't happen very often. Tyreek Hill being another example.
42:37So it kind of makes sense that Parker Washington being a sixth round pick, it's taken a while because teams just don't trust these guys yet.
42:44They'll get a cup of tea here or there as a starter.
42:47But that's another baseball term. We're bringing them all out this year.
42:51A cup of tea? You got a cup of tea in the majors, right?
42:54Yeah. And then go... We're just bringing them all out this year.
42:58What's that? That originated in baseball? I think so.
43:00I just remember it as like a baseball term.
43:03Yeah. And it feels like it was always like, I got a cup of tea 15 days in the majors and then back to the...
43:09Anyway, he's gotten some opportunity... What? It's not... I'm just trying to look it up on Google and it's just telling me about tea.
43:16It's just a cup of tea. Yeah. It's literally a tea.
43:19I drink a lot of tea these days. But anyway, where I'm going with this is when they've given him those opportunities, he has performed.
43:26There's 21 games since the start of 2024 in which he had a route participation of at least 50%.
43:31So when they're throwing the ball, he's on the field more than half the time.
43:35In those games, he has a 20% target share and 12.2 fantasy points per game, which would have put him right in
43:41the wide receiver two mix last season. That includes the finish to last season where he was red hot four straight games
43:47with at least nine targets and 19 fantasy points.
43:49I know there are a lot of mouse to feed in this offense, including specifically at wide receiver.
43:54But there is nothing about this offseason that suggests he's not their number one receiver.
43:58Everything indicates he is number one, not leaving the field.
44:01They'll pull Brian Thomas off the field. Washington is the guy.
44:04And if that doesn't happen, I'm going to be really surprised.
44:07It's just... There's not like one report that's like...
44:09And it's not like he's probably just going to wrote...
44:12It's like he is the guy. He is Trevor Lawrence's guy.
44:15He established that late last year. The cat's out of the bag now.
44:19He's the guy. So again, he's getting a little pricey, but I believe in the talent.
44:23He's going to get real pricey for the Jaguars soon.
44:26Sure is. You might have an extension by the time the season begins.
44:29Did I bring this up on the show yesterday?
44:32I'm not sure. I think the alternate uniforms announcement.
44:34Oh, yes. Okay, I did mention that. Parker Washington front and center.
44:37I am flummoxed. I think he's an awesome player.
44:40He's an awesome dude as well. Like the exact kind of player you want to reward.
44:44And I can't decide if there's like a top 20 wide receiver, hiding in plain sight with basically everything that Mike just said.
44:50Or if this is going to be the Chargers of last year, where Parker Washington is a great player.
44:56Jacoby Myers is a really darn good player. Brian Thomas is sort of Quinton Johnston-y.
45:00Really talented, but inconsistent. And it's like, oh, through four weeks, each of them, maybe you throw Travis Hunter in there as
45:06well, has had one week where they've seen seven plus targets.
45:09And I just, I can't figure it out. All of the signs are telling us, as Mike said, every sign points to
45:15him needing to be a top 30 wide receiver.
45:17Yep. Yeah. And also, would we be shocked if Brian Thomas finishes wide receiver nine?
45:21Like just bounce it. I mean, we finished wide receiver four two years ago.
45:25It's so wild. But yeah, I mean, he could be Quinton Johnson too.
45:28It's just, it's such a hard one to figure out, but this entire off the whole off season suggests that it's Washington, not Thomas.
45:35I'm having a hard time deciding myself, but yep.
45:37Here you. This is my layup guys at the wide receiver spot for the breakout.
45:41I decided this is where I was going to do it.
45:44Ladd McConkie. Laddie. Kind of already broke out once as a rookie, but last year, if you remember, finished as wide receiver 36.
45:51Yeah. He was, who was he last year? He was not Lad McConkie.
45:54He was bad McDonkey. Bad McDonkey. That's right. Finished as wide receiver 13 in total points as a rookie.
45:59So that Delta between those two things, obviously we don't want those chargers to be around.
46:04He got Keenan Allen last year. I think things are going to be very different here this season.
46:09New Mike McDaniel offense, being able to come in and be the number one.
46:12Quinton Johnston, even though you talked about it, will have some big games.
46:16That's a part of what he does. Consistency though, as field just said, is not one of the terms that we use to define his game.
46:23Sure. Lad McConkie is going to be that guy.
46:25I think you told us he's got four, three wheels.
46:28He does. I mean, you may not realize it very fast.
46:31Ran the most number of... Is that because he's white?
46:34I think so. Okay. Ran the most number of slots, snaps last year out of any wide receiver.
46:39The dude is going to smash, especially because you have that scar tissue from last year.
46:43We already saw him break out as a rookie, but the idea that he fell all the way back to wide receiver,
46:4930 total points, wide receiver, 36 in points per game.
46:52This needs to stop. We are not allowed to show tweets that capitalize every word in the sentence.
46:57I am drawing a line. It's a boundary that I have in life.
47:00So here's my question on that. How do you do that?
47:03Right. Do you have like a setting on your phone that like every time you type a space, it goes back to a capital letter?
47:10I don't know. Because if not, doesn't that feel like...
47:13So inefficient. There is one word that wasn't capitalized.
47:15It. Yeah. I don't know. Is this like an AI account?
47:18Is this one of them collaborators? There's no AI.
47:21Is that a person? Is there? Or I don't know.
47:23Whatever. Like it, I don't know how you produce this.
47:26I'm pretty sure it's really regulated. I just mean like to do something like that.
47:30I don't know. No, I'm kidding. Yeah. Good call here.
47:33Thought about... Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If I... What? If I miss...
47:36Me saying there's no... There's no AI on the internet, right?
47:39Yeah. Of course. I just don't know. I don't...
47:41I'm not... I'm not technical enough to know how to create something like that automatically.
47:45A tweet. Anyway. A tweet. Yeah. No, I don't know how to do that.
47:49I've only done that a billion times. He's trying to be like Cam...
47:53Like Cam Newton created like a legitimate keyboard. Oh, yeah.
47:55He did. People can type out like Cam's letters, which I think is cool, but...
47:59Anyway, Bad McDonkey last year, if you knew going into the season that he was going to...
48:04He ran way more routes last year than he did the year before.
48:08His target numbers were very similar to his rookie season.
48:10He actually was seventh among receivers and end zone targets last year.
48:14If you knew all those things going into the season, you would have ranked him even higher than we had him.
48:19But the efficiency plummeted last year. Plummeted. Yards per target, catch rate, all that.
48:23So that's going to be Mike McDaniel's job here to figure out how to get that efficiency up because the usage is there.
48:29If that works out, that's great. It's the efficiency that was problematic last year.
48:33So we will see if they fix things. All right.
48:36We're going to move to tight ends here. And my last one is kind of a talent play.
48:41Yes. Tight end 19 for me at Chico Conquo.
48:43Got four years and 40 million bucks. Liz is a big Chico Conquo sleeper.
48:47Sure is. So go check out Facts vs. Feelings, of course.
48:50And shout out to Liz for hanging with us again over the past handful of shows.
48:54Chick comes from a bad situation in Tennessee. They weren't scoring a lot of points and they weren't featuring him all that often.
49:01Washington's going to lead with Terry McLaurin. I think Stephon Diggs will play a real and big role, but Chick should play a role for sure.
49:08They've had a lot of injuries amongst other tight ends in Washington.
49:11And keep in mind that two years ago, so if we're banking on this offense being closer to what it was during
49:17Jaden Daniels' rookie season, they were top five in points per game that year, top five in EPA.
49:22They were top five in red zone drive. So they got the ball down there often.
49:26You get down to the red zone, you've got more opportunities for touchdowns.
49:30Chick Okonkwo, I think, has a chance to look like a much different player.
49:33Guy who also returns to the DMV, likes Stephon Diggs, two Maryland grads.
49:37Which definitely counts for something very valuable in fantasy.
49:39Yeah, obviously, Zach Ertz has done some damage when he's been healthy in this offense.
49:43For some reason, I have like a lot of, I'm looking at my write-up on Okonkwo, I have like a lot of
49:49what could best be described as like fun facts about him over the last couple of years.
49:54One of four tight ends who have appeared in every game since he entered the league over the last three years.
50:00One of six tight ends that have 50 plus catches each of the past three seasons.
50:04That's a very interesting nugget for sure. And the other one is he has finished exactly 21st in fantasy points at tight
50:10end three years in a row now. Wow. That's like not as exciting for my purposes.
50:14No, some of these aren't great. I mean, he also, but you know, part of his problem has been though, he's, you know, 16% target share.
50:21Not, he probably needs to be a little higher to get into the tight end one conversation, but a big problem has been that offense.
50:28He's eight touchdowns and 11 end zone targets in his career.
50:31They just don't get to the goal line. They don't use him much there.
50:35Eight touchdowns in four seasons. Yeah. 11 total end zone targets is very poor.
50:39It's what you're banking on, right? It's like, uh, it's remember we were talking about Brees Hall, maybe being traded to the chiefs at the deadline last year.
50:46Well, imagine Brees Hall if he played in a real offense, right?
50:50Yeah. Yeah. That's kind of what you were. Could be it.
50:53Could be it. Yep. I know Mike's. I do.
50:55Oh yeah. I do too. I think it's a good one because Mike, you've talked about a decent amount, but it's been mostly recently.
51:02Yep. And he's a very, very intriguing player. Yeah.
51:04He remains extremely cheap on draft day. This is one of them guys I'm surprised isn't generating more hype considering the offense
51:10and the fact that he's a year two tight end who was a second round pick last year.
51:15It's Terrence, Terrence Ferguson. This is also a team that could lead the league and heavy sets and two and three tight end sets.
51:22He's going to be on the field a lot.
51:24My drawback initially to him, bless you, was when they re-signed Tyler Higby to go along with Colby Parkinson, who had a
51:30big roll down the stretch ahead of Ferguson late last year.
51:33They're going to rotate Davis Allen in and I don't clear Max Clare second round pick this year.
51:38I think he, that has healthy scratch written all over it.
51:41Like I think the plan is 2027. It's going to be the Ferguson Claire show, but for now, um, I think it's going to be Ferguson this year.
51:48And what's interesting about him is his average depth of target last year.
51:52Again, it's minimum 10 targets. I had to put a low threshold on this because the sample wasn't high, but the way
51:58he was used was kind of wild. He has 17.5 average depth of target, which is high for a wide receiver.
52:04That's the highest I've seen by from a tight end in at least a decade as far back as I have this stuff charted.
52:10So, um, his target, his, uh, target tree should be a little more well-rounded this year.
52:14He did a five end zone targets last year, which was 13th at tight ends for, for a guy that didn't play very much.
52:21Um, but the bottom line is he could open this season.
52:24Number three in line for targets in maybe the best offense in the NFL and offense that could score.
52:29What do we, what's our board met? 40 passing touchdowns potentially those rankings right there on the board.
52:34The most you got to miss. Yeah. Mike kind of likes him at 19.
52:38What does it and and R is that mean?
52:40Not, not really, not, not related. We're not related.
52:43Although I did, um, I covered Bo Nix's pro day when he was coming out in the 2024 NFL draft.
52:48Uh, it was like the first day of free agency.
52:51Kirk Cousins signed with the Falcons on that day.
52:53I felt like the entire world was staring at Kirk Cousins news and there was like, you know, whatever, 20 scouts, a
52:59couple of coaches and me and Eugene, Oregon, beautiful place, by the way, absolutely phenomenal area.
53:04Love Oregon. If you are listening to the show, we have either been there or live there.
53:08What a beautiful state you guys have. Uh, and they're like, you got to check out this tight end who it wasn't
53:14like Terrence Ferguson was some, I'd seen Terrence Ferguson play when scouting Bo Nix previously.
53:18Uh, and he looks like an NBA center. He is massive and he is ridiculously athletic.
53:23He was staring one-handed catches left and right. Uh, he's Mike's on to something here.
53:27Yeah. I mean, this guy has top five upside.
53:29I mean, he really, he was drafted to be their, their star tight end.
53:33Uh, the only, we're a year away from that.
53:35Yeah. Uh, I, I could see that maybe post Devontan.
53:38There's room for a third guy. They don't have a third receiver.
53:41Like that he really should be, if he's not third in line for targets here, what, what went wrong?
53:47Like he's a Colby Parkinson. Like what went wrong?
53:49He should be third in line. The Rams, by the way, it's like, Oh, look at us.
53:54We're the Rams. We trade for miles Garrett and we have Puka Naku and Matthew Stafford and Devontae Adams on offense.
53:59We signed Trent McDuffie or we trade for him.
54:02And we also sign Jalen Watson. So we can just punt on our first and second round picks this year.
54:07Those guys might not even play a snap all season.
54:10Crazy. Ty Simpson, Max Clare. Yep. Enjoy LA weather.
54:12At least. Yep. Using our first two round picks on guys that will help us.
54:16That was somewhat surprising, but regardless there, I mean, they're the best team in the league on both sides of the ball.
54:22So how you can't criticize. Well, Mike, until the games are played, we'll see.
54:26I have Terrence Ferguson at 15, just for the record, because of the fact that we talk about the touchdown regression for Devontae Adams.
54:33I wouldn't be shocked if with that touchdown regression and the idea that everything that Mike has talked about, he's helped me get way more into Terrence Ferguson.
54:40I've dived into the numbers. Diven in. Dove. Dove in.
54:43Dove in. Yeah. I dived. Dove. Yeah. Doved into the numbers.
54:46I have face planted into the numbers. Yeah. And it makes me feel like, would I be shocked if this guy becomes
54:52one of the touchdown makers for Matthew Stafford? If we do see that touchdown regression from a 33 year old Devontae Adams.
54:58You guys are also tattoo bros. He's got a lot of it.
55:01Yes. Oh yeah. Him and I are buddies. My only hesitation on going higher on him is just that.
55:06You've got him at 19. Tyler Higby is going to catch.
55:09He's going to be annoying and catch touchdowns and Colby Parkinson.
55:12All these guys, you're going to be furious. If he starts for you, you're going to be furious when Davis Allen scores,
55:18catches a pass or scores a touchdown. It's just the nature of this offense.
55:22It's my only hesitation on going higher, but at the end of the day, I still like him.
55:27I think he's a good chance of a breakout.
55:29Last one for you, Daniel. And by the way, we have football in two weeks.
55:34Yes, we do have football in a couple weeks.
55:36Is my math correct? Yeah. Yeah. I think that's right.
55:39Yeah, that's right. My breakout is a guy that we have seen do some things before when given an opportunity, although not
55:45always, but Isaiah likely moving on from the Baltimore Ravens into a Giants offense.
55:49The Giants is just a team that we have primed to potentially take a step for us in fantasy football.
55:54If Jackson Dart can stay healthy with John Harbaugh coming overfield, you talked about it last night.
55:59He knows how to be able to find ways to help a dual threat quarterback succeed in his offense.
56:04Being able to have neighbors back, being able to have Cam Scadaboo so that that running game can be all the things you needed to be.
56:11And Isaiah likely has been a field stretcher, has been a great receiving option at the tight end spot.
56:16The problem is he came from an offense where that just wasn't a necessity for them week in and week out.
56:22We didn't see consistency from him because we didn't really see consistency in that Ravens passing game across the board anyways.
56:27We don't talk about that with anyone. So a little bit of this is the faith of like, I've seen what this
56:33kid can do when given the chance. Now, do you believe that he's going to be fully unlocked and the tight end
56:39one of this offense, or are you worried that maybe someone else, another tight end that was there that we liked from
56:45last year is going to eat in enough to his share that he can't break out.
56:50And I want to think that with them bringing him over, Isaiah likely at least has a shot with some of the
56:56skills that we have seen in the past to break out in this offense this year.
57:00This is a little bit unfair to Isaiah likely, who's also from Massachusetts.
57:03So shout out to fellow Massachusetts. You know when he went to school?
57:07He went to Coastal Carolina. Of course he did.
57:09Fields. Fields. He played for Everett High School. Mikey's Mikey Sandra still commander.
57:13Second round pick. Both guys. Love that. Everett area.
57:15This is kind of unfair because I think a lot of tight ends really need touchdowns to pay off.
57:21But Isaiah likely has a real chance of being part time is like too underwhelming, but far from every down player.
57:26He is. If they're throwing the foot, if they're running the football or trying to create the illusion of running the football
57:32before they pass the football, he ain't going to be on the field.
57:36Theo Johnson. That's the problem. It's just, he is such a limited blocker.
57:39I've been following reports throughout training camp and it's like when they're, you know, he's, I'm trying to think of the perfect
57:45analogy of who Isaiah likely, who else has like served in this role where it's like when they're passing the ball, this
57:51tight ends on the field and otherwise he's not.
57:54And I mean, Graham, maybe like just cause Dawson Knox is there.
57:57My best comp was. The taps are so low.
57:59My best comp was when Isaiah likely played for the Ravens previously.
58:03Yeah. I mean, it's, but it's fair. I mean, I was thinking the same thing, like Theo, if, if you're, if you
58:09draft Isaiah likely and he doesn't work out for you, even as like a good wide or a tight end to this
58:15year might be because like you have Theo Johnson in the Mark Andrews role and he's stealing touchdowns or something like that.
58:21That may be where you get burned. So yeah, that's why I'm not quite as high.
58:25There's a lot of tight ends in this tier though, going from Ferguson all the way up to, you know, even the
58:31Andrews and we've, TJ Hawkinson's like free now. I mean, that's a guy that we used to be like, I'm worried he might just be done.
58:38I think maybe, yeah. I'm just saying there's so many guys in that tier.
58:42So I would say my takeaway from all of these picks, we made 12, 16 in total and a couple exclusions like,
58:48you know, Jackson, Dart, Jeremiah, love, we're all going to be like, we're good there.
58:52It's hard to pick breakouts because you're kind of acknowledging the warts when you're making these picks.
58:56You have to, right. It's like, cause I feel like, I don't know, two thirds of the picks that any of us
59:02offered up, at least one of us was like, yeah, but, and it's like, ah, all right.
59:07Well, if there was no hesitation, they'd be ranked higher.
59:10You know, they would be a breakout candidate. We would have, they would like that.
59:14We'd have them as a top. I don't know.
59:16We'd rank them as, I don't know. What do you have Jeremiah?
59:20I love we'd rank them wherever we have Jeremiah.
59:22I love, but this is part of the game we play is that you can't just draft every player at your ceiling or you're going to lose.
59:29You're never going to get over the top. So you have to pick some guys who are more volatile, but the ceiling's high.
59:36I thought that I thought maybe Adam Schefter pulled that last night.
59:39When he drafted Parker Washington 50th overall. Yeah. That was, that was a, that was a faith play in Parker Washington.
59:45Yeah, he is. He's a really good player. He may pay off, but we are, it's all about value-based drafting.
59:50Name of the game. We're going to do some bonus picks here real quick.
59:54Oh, okay. Yes, that's right. One player breakout. We don't know these ones.
59:57We don't know these ones. I want to make sure.
60:00Hold on. Let me just. But you'll know mine.
60:02Oh, okay. Well then let's. Yes, yes, yes, yes.
60:05I got mine. Okay. You got yours. Do you want to go first?
60:08He has back-to-back seasons with 90 catches. Wanda Robinson's going to get again this year.
60:13I was just about to say it. I was hoping you'll let it on a little further.
60:17Yeah. Wanda, let's your guy. Yeah, you talked about this last night.
60:20Yeah. I still think, and I got to get higher on the rankings maybe than with this analysis, but I just think this guy's going to absolutely feast.
60:28He's going to be a PPR beast. And what he showed last year is he's not just a PPR guy.
60:33Right? Like he, I should not say that. What he showed last year is that he is not just three yards in
60:39a cloud of dust or like an ADOT of 1.7 yards.
60:42Like he had some field-stretching moments last year. Remember the game Russell Wilson torched the Cowboys for like 485 yards?
60:48Week two last year, Wandale was menacing down the field.
60:51So this guy's just a really, really good football player.
60:53Okay. But over under two and a half touchdowns in this offense.
60:57Over. Yeah. Over. Wouldn't be surprised. Yeah. I don't think he's going to get a lot of goal line work.
61:02And I'm a little lower on you guys because yes, he's going to catch a lot of passes in the short range.
61:08But I mean, Carnot is still there. Yeah. And Gunnar Helm is going to get some run.
61:13And also like Calvin Ridley's still there right now.
61:15I mean, is he still, I know he's 32, but Calvin Ridley is still.
61:19Mike. It wasn't long ago. He's there. $13 million.
61:21No, but when, but I understand that, but let's just can please tell me if I'm wrong.
61:26But when you see a guy that's making $13 million playing week one of the preseason, you're not like that guy is on track to make the roster.
61:33They had so much cap space that it wasn't like really that big.
61:37They've renegotiated this deal and it wasn't like, all right, we got to get him down.
61:41We got to spend it somewhere. $3 million. They had to have a role there.
61:45Yes. If he's playing every week. Mine is Cam Scadaboo.
61:48Again, no, no shock here. I've talked about him, his numbers in those six games last year where he was the feature back were tremendous.
61:55He scored six touchdowns, 16 carries a game, a hair under five targets per game, which don't don't overlook that.
62:00That is a big number for Scadaboo and over 96 yards per game.
62:04So the volume is there. The efficiency was there.
62:06The production's there. Now you have a better offensive line.
62:09You have a better head coach in John Harbaugh.
62:11You have Jackson Dart for the whole season. The passing game is going to be better.
62:16Everything sets up well. Two of the three guys that he's competing with.
62:19He beat out last year very clearly in Tracy and Singletary.
62:22And I'm sorry. Najee Harris. Yes, he may be the number two and have a role and get some touches.
62:28It's typical for more than one running back to play.
62:30I'm not worried about that. But again, Najee was in a role last year where it was like, oh, is he going to start over O'Marrion Hampton?
62:38And he was a non-threat to him. Hampton was clearly better than him right away.
62:42I feel very similar here about this situation. The last two players in the FBS to have at least 1,500 rushing yards
62:48and 500 receiving yards in a single season were who?
62:51Cam Scadaboo and I don't know. Mike Washington Jr.
62:53No, a very famous player, Christian McCaffrey. Oh, wow.
62:55Good pull. How's that for territory? That's the opposite of where I thought that question was going to go.
63:01I was thinking it was like an Austin Eckler or something.
63:04I can't remember where he went exactly. He went to, I think it was Colorado.
63:08We have to check the exact, it's like Colorado Pueblo or something, right?
63:11No, no. It's something state. Western Colorado University. There we go.
63:14Western Colorado University. Shout out Austin Eckler. I think he's in the content creation game these years.
63:19Yeah. Oh, yeah. Huge fantasy football guy. Hey, guys.
63:21How about my breakout? Again, I'm the one that knows what the people are looking for here.
63:26After Mike gave you a guy in the 20s as a potential breakout.
63:29Field, you got a wide receiver in the 30s.
63:32That's okay. Well, for us in the 30s, Mike's way down there.
63:35You're going to do a kicker? Better be a kicker.
63:38I'm talking about my guy who I love in Jalen McMillan.
63:41Let's talk about a breakout. Yeah. The idea of what he can be as a rookie.
63:45I like this. If you remember at the end of the season, his rookie year, weeks 14 through 18, the dude was unbelievable.
63:51Saw over 19 fantasy points per game. Unfortunately, had an injury plagued second year.
63:55But even in his sophomore season, down the stretch, week 17, we saw him come on seven catches for 114 yards on nine targets in championship week.
64:03No one was starting him. But part of it is the idea that we've seen this happen before.
64:07I'm worried that Chris Godwin just won't be the Chris Godwin that we used to see.
64:12We saw Mecca Abuka fall off the cliff a little bit.
64:15And I do like Baker Mayfield as a quarterback.
64:17So even if Abuka is going to be the wide receiver one, and I think he's going to get a ton of targets in this offense.
64:24I think there's a shot that by the time we hit halfway through the season, Jalen McMillan could be pushing to potentially
64:30be the wide receiver two of this squad. If Chris Godwin doesn't look like the Chris Godwin of old.
64:35I think that's the key here. Also, if Abuka is not healthy to open the season, my profile, I wrote on the
64:41site and I have him ranked considerably lower than you.
64:44But what I wrote was McMillan is a fascinating late round sleeper.
64:47I mean, and I stand by that again. That's what we're looking for in these late rounds is a guy who it's
64:53hard to project really high because there's so many mouths to feed.
64:57But he's like one thing away from being a weekly starter.
65:00Yeah, and that's a different. I get asked that all the time.
65:03What's the difference between rankings and projections exactly this?
65:05You know, if one thing happens, suddenly they fly up the rankings.
65:09And actually, that fits for Terrence Ferguson, too. If DeMonte Adams goes down or Naku is suspended four games, they're going way up the right.
65:15I mean, Ferguson will rank top 12 week one if Naku is suspended.
65:19I mean, that's just that's the kind of guy you want to look out late.
65:23So I agree. I finally got a little compliment.
65:25Let's go. Show's over. It's actually literally over. Let's shut it down now.
65:29We're coming back tomorrow. You know what we're talking about tomorrow?
65:32I don't know. We've been sleepers. We should have done that differently.
65:35This should have been the sleepers episode today coming off of the marathon, guys.
65:39We've got 32 and we're going deep sleepers tomorrow.
65:41You're bringing a sleeper for every single day. We're doing it tomorrow.
65:45Yes, indeed. All right. I'm ready. Love that. A sleeper from every single team.
65:49That's going to do it for us. Field Mike and I are going to go take a nap.
65:53We love you guys. Don't forget to love each other.
65:56Be kind to yourself. Come back. Hang out with us tomorrow.
