A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury20:59

AJ Brown has been placed on IR and is expected to miss at least four games, with some reports suggesting it could be as many as six. The source advises holding him in IR spots if available, but trading him is only recommended if receiving elite value in return.

Insight page

Aaron Jones

PositiveRole105:18

Aaron Jones is considered a must-start RB2 in most formats, with the source ranking him inside the top 20. While there is some uncertainty regarding the backfield split with Jerome Ford and DJ Dallas, the source expects Jones to handle the majority of early-down work.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveUsage59:03

Bijan Robinson is a clear lineup lock who remains the focal point of the Falcons' offense, evidenced by his eight catches in Week 1 and his ability to create explosive plays despite the team's overall offensive struggles.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeInjury76:39

Brock Bowers' status for the upcoming game is uncertain; his availability must be monitored before setting lineups.

Insight page

Bryce Young

NegativeProjection81:40

Bryce Young provided a 'fine' fantasy output of 19 points in Week 1, though the source notes he has a historical tendency to struggle with consistency in back-to-back games.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveUsage26:25

Bucky Irving had an impressive Week 1, scoring 20.3 fantasy points with a 61.5% snap share. Notably, he was heavily involved in the passing game, recording seven catches on 21 routes, which is a target on one-third of his routes.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

NegativeUsage19:52

Chris Rodriguez only saw six touches in Week 1, which the source describes as a throwaway game for the Jaguars backfield, leaving his role uncertain despite expectations that he might be used more when the team is ahead.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveProjection73:44

Christian Watson is considered a recommended start for Week 2, as the source views him as a primary pass-catching option for the Packers.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

PositiveUsage11:48

Dalton Kincaid saw a significant usage increase in Week 1, with 77% snap share and 71% route participation. These are his highest marks since mid-2024, positioning him as a mid-range TE1 for Week 2 against a Lions defense that struggled against tight ends.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveUsage85:31

Devonta Smith remains a lineup lock. He maintained a high route participation rate (25 of 28 pass plays) in Week 1, confirming his role as the primary receiver in the Eagles' offense.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeValue59:06

Despite a disastrous Week 1 performance and concerns regarding the Falcons' quarterback situation, Drake London remains a hold in all formats, including dynasty. The source expects him to be peppered with targets in Week 2 as a correction to his low usage in the opener.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection21:04

The source does not consider Drake Maye a lineup lock for the upcoming week, noting he is not currently a recommended start.

Insight page

Dyami Brown

PositiveSleeper98:22

Diami Brown is highlighted as a deep sleeper (under 1% rostered) for Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys. He operated as the clear WR3 for his team in Week 1, and the source expects a high-volume passing game script for him in this matchup.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

NegativeValue25:51

Despite being drafted as a top-6 tight end, the source notes they currently do not want to start Harold Fannin in Week 2, suggesting owners should stay away from Browns players until further notice.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveRole103:33

The source recommends starting Isaiah Likely over George Kittle for Week 2, citing Likely's strong Week 1 performance and the need for Kittle to prove his snap share (targeting 65%) before being considered an every-week starter.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

NegativeBreakout34:28

The source notes that a conversation regarding Jalen Coker versus Ted McMillan is beginning to boil, as Coker showed promise with over 16 fantasy points in each of the final two weeks of last season.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveProjection32:31

The source ranks Jared Goff higher than Joe Burrow for the upcoming week, regardless of Burrow's health status.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeProjection18:44

Despite a disappointing Week 1 (one catch, two yards), the source maintains confidence in Jalen Waddle. The Broncos are expected to prioritize getting him involved, and his target share projection is slightly bumped due to the narrative that Sean Payton's wife drafted him.

Insight page
PositiveValue32:57

The source prefers Jalen Waddle over Matthew Golden as a wide receiver start for the upcoming week.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeInjury8:21

Joe Burrow is dealing with back soreness following Week 1. While he expects to play, the source recommends sitting him due to a tough matchup and his health status, suggesting managers should have a backup quarterback ready.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveProjection104:05

The source prefers Justin Herbert over Trevor Lawrence for fantasy lineups in Week 2.

Insight page

Kalen Ballage

PositiveValue104:12

Kalen Ballage is preferred over Tyler Allgeier as a flex option for Week 2, with the source noting he could see a busy second half against Miami.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveUsage27:15

Kenneth Gainwell saw very little involvement in Week 1, recording only one target on 13 routes, as Bucky Irving dominated the backfield work.

Insight page

Kyle Williams

PositiveSleeper100:59

Kyle Williams is a deep sleeper target who serves as the fourth receiver on his team. Despite limited usage in Week 1 (11 snaps, 7 routes), the source notes his history of big-play ability and suggests he could be utilized for a deep shot against Pittsburgh.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeUsage72:02

Marshawn Lloyd's role is concerning after being out-snapped 37 to 30 by Chris Brooks in Week 1. Furthermore, Brooks dominated passing-down work (30 snaps to 16) and was more efficient on the ground (4.1 YPC vs 2.8 YPC), leaving Lloyd outside of reliable RB2 territory for now.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

NegativeUsage32:48

Matthew Golden saw 12 targets in Week 1, though much of that production came in garbage time. The source is not yet sold on him as a reliable weekly option compared to others.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

NegativeProjection80:47

If Brock Bowers is unable to play, Michael Mayer is a viable low-end TE1 start, similar to his Week 1 output.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeInjury5:25

Nico Collins is dealing with a hamstring injury sustained during Wednesday's practice. While the injury is not considered long-term, he is unlikely to play in Week 2, and fantasy managers should make other plans.

Insight page

Pat Freiermuth

PositiveUsage23:24

Pat Freiermuth is trending upward after a strong Week 1 performance (5 catches, 46 yards, 1 TD) and a significant increase in route participation to 72%. He is now considered a viable streaming option at tight end.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveProjection105:04

The source prefers Patrick Mahomes over Baker Mayfield for Week 2, citing confidence in Mahomes' performance from the previous week.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeRole20:36

Rhamondre Stevenson is currently ranked as RB20, but his role and ranking could be impacted by the return of Travion Henderson to full practice. In the 20 dropbacks following AJ Brown's injury last week, Stevenson ran 18 routes.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeInjury25:12

RJ Harvey was a non-participant in Wednesday's estimated practice report, putting his status for the upcoming game in question.

Insight page

Roman Wilson

PositiveSleeper100:23

Roman Wilson is identified as a potential post-hype sleeper (0.2% rostered) following a six-target performance in Week 1. The source notes a reported connection with his quarterback during the preseason and suggests he could see production against the Patriots.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

PositiveBreakout22:02

With AJ Brown out, Romeo Doubs has a significant opportunity to shine. The source ranks him as a flex option for Week 2, noting that he was on the field for all 20 dropbacks following Brown's injury last week.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeProjection87:21

The source expresses concern that Saquon Barkley's peak years as an 'off-the-charts' elite fantasy running back may be behind him, noting he was drafted in a tier with younger breakout candidates.

Insight page
NegativeProjection88:36

The source expresses concern that Saquon Barkley's elite fantasy ceiling has diminished due to a decline in the Eagles' offensive line performance and a significant reduction in his receiving usage. Over his last six regular-season games, he recorded only 11 targets and three catches for 11 yards. While he remains a top-20 play, the source suggests he is no longer in the same tier as elite backs like Breece Hall, Jahmyr Gibbs, or Christian McCaffrey.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveProjection73:49

Tucker Kraft is viewed as a viable starting option for fantasy lineups in Week 2.

Insight page

Xavier Hutchinson

NegativeUsage7:14

With Nico Collins likely out, the Texans are expected to rotate four wide receivers. Xavier Hutchinson saw 28 routes in Week 1 and is expected to be involved, though he remains a risky fantasy option.

0:00Hey, we've got some game time tips to share.
0:02When you're hosting during football season, you've got to be ready for every kind of craving.

0:30So whether you're getting ready for kickoff or feeding a full house, Frigidaire has every craving covered.
0:35Available at the Home Depot. How doers get more done.
0:38Only when using stone-baked pizza mode, cook time requires preheat and reheat and may vary based on ingredients.
0:43What's up, friends? Welcome to Fantasy Focus Football alongside Mike Clay and Field Yates.
0:46My name is Daniel Dopp. Very excited to bring a Thursday episode week to preview part one, my friends.
0:51Diving into a bunch of the games today. We got a lot on tap.
0:55But first and foremost, guys, also a Thursday Night Football game.
0:58How are you doing? I'm great. I'm actually curious what you're doing.
1:01We had this conversation, I think, after the show yesterday about whether you enjoy when your beloved team plays on Thursday Night
1:07Football or if you prefer for them to play on Sunday.
1:10I had a strong take on this. You did, yeah.
1:13Yes, I do not like Thursday Night Football. Not because the quality of football isn't great, but because I wait all week for that Sunday ritual of football.
1:20There is a ritual for me of watching my team on Sundays.
1:23The only time I'm okay breaking that is Monday Night Football when the entire country wants to watch the game.
1:29Yeah, fair. Okay. So that's where I'm at on this one.
1:32However, that means I get to watch all the games equally on Sunday without the Lions.
1:36Yeah, and you know, you could pull off a pretty big upset tonight if they go into the new Bills Stadium.
1:42That's true. That'll be a trivia answer for a long time.
1:45Yeah. In the first game in the new Bills Stadium.
1:47Ah, true. Look at that. See, future Lions. Haven't the Bills like won more games in MetLife Stadium than the Jets have
1:53in like the last two years or something? Isn't there some like ridiculous like, you know, the Bills are free now?
1:59I don't know. That's a great question. I'm probably wrong in that one, but interesting.
2:03Yeah, I actually enjoy watching all standalone games. You'd prefer to have them standalone tonight because of the ability to watch all games sort of equally come Sunday.
2:10But I cannot wait for this one tonight. It is going to be huge.
2:14It's going to be fun. We'll talk about Lions and Bills in just a moment.
2:18We have some news, though. We do. First and foremost, a shout out to our buddies at Trophy Smack.
2:2310% off with the promo code Trophy Week 2.
2:25Go over to trophysmack.com. Grab something from them like this super cool belt that we got here on our desk.
2:31Mike requested a snakeskin belt and Trophy Snack said, sweet.
2:33Yeah. We'll get you one too. Do I get that for being first and starts of the week in week one?
2:39Is that how that works? No, you don't. No, I don't.
2:42Well, we're off to go. Fantasy Focus Show League, how'd you do in that?
2:46I did not do good. Okay. That's what you get.
2:48There you go. All right. I'm off to a slow start, but that happened last year too, and it ended well.
2:54We're not going to talk much about the Focus Show League week to week, but I will just note that I think
3:00I scored the second most points in the league this week.
3:03Good for you. And lost to Liz by 40.
3:05Oh, by 40. That's amazing. Liz absolutely dominated my team.
3:08That's amazing. I put up 155, and she put up 195.
3:11That's unreal. So Liz, officially the team to beat.
3:13She crushed me in the Countdown League as well, Fantasy Focus Countdown League.
3:17Wow, Liz. Yeah, she's pretty good at football. Everything's coming up Liz right now.
3:20You know who else is good at football but may not be available here in week two?
3:25Nico Collins, guys. We found out today may be missing here in week two.
3:29Banged up, hurt his hamstring injury in Wednesday's practice.
3:31Yep. I think it sounds safe to say that if you have Nico Collins, you should probably consider making other plans just
3:37for this week, although it sounds like they avoided potentially long-term injury here.
3:41Yeah, so this is good news, bad news, right?
3:43Correct. Like, you see a player get added to the injury reports because of an injury that took place during practice, and
3:49you immediately think to yourself, am I going to be without my wide receiver one or two for a month, or could he play this upcoming weekend?
3:56It sounds like probably not this weekend, but not a major injury.
3:59Hamstrings for wide receivers make you a little bit nervous here.
4:02The reason why we wanted to address this is I suppose there are players you could be making a decision upon tonight
4:08going into Thursday night in football for Nico Collins, but more importantly is do we see anybody not named Nico Collins, and
4:14of course Jaden Higgins, that would be worth adding off of waivers right now that could potentially impact a league as deep,
4:20excuse me, as shallow as 10 teams? Yeah, so I don't think we're going to have anyone ranked as a good flex option.
4:26The problem is they're going to rotate, I think, four guys through a wide receiver.
4:30You look at the routes from last week, 33 for Nico, he was first.
4:34Xavier Hutchinson, 28. Kayshawn Booty, 23. Jalen Knoll, 12.
4:36Jared Wayne, who will be mixed in as well.
4:39Maybe a good Raheem Sanders pick there on the totem pole.
4:41Although Xavier Hutchinson's still under 1% as well. He was at six.
4:45So I think all four guys will be involved in this one.
4:48If I had to choose, I'd probably pick the explosive playmaker, Kayshawn Booty.
4:51You know, maybe hit for a long play. But otherwise, I'm probably going to avoid.
4:55But the good news is they have respectable depth here.
4:58So they can hold down the forward for a week.
5:01All right, so the Texans play the Bengals. There's also some news on the Bengals side, Daniel, which involves the quarterback, Joe Burrow.
5:07Yeah, dealing with some back soreness, unfortunately. Trying to carry the Bengals in week one and it hurt him here in this one.
5:13Actually, their defense did. We're going to keep an eye on that one, obviously, to see what's going to happen here.
5:19He expects to play Sunday at Houston. But I'll tell you what, we already had him way down our rankings to begin with because of this matchup.
5:26If I feel like he's banged up going into it, I'm probably just going to remove Joe Burrow altogether.
5:31Maybe not from my rankings. He'd probably be like a low 20s guy.
5:34Yeah. But I'd say for now, like if you have Joe Burrow as your normal starter and you haven't already added a backup quarterback.
5:41You need to. Yes. Because of the matchup, which I know Josh Allen did not make it look like a tough matchup,
5:47but we still believe it's a very tough matchup for Joe Burrow.
5:50So, and this health status, let's make a plan here.
5:53Whether it's a Bryce Young off of waivers, maybe a Daniel Jones, maybe, you know, whoever, you know, Jared Goff playing tonight.
5:58Like these are some names to consider if you have Joe Burrow as not just your starter, but your only quarterback on the roster.
6:05On top of that, if Joe is out, we'll talk more tomorrow, which he won't be, but he expects to play.
6:10We'll talk just in general more tomorrow about these wide receivers and what their forecast is for the upcoming weekend.
6:16Yeah. Agreed. Joe Flacco, you know, as far as backups go.
6:19Joe Flacco! Yeah. Not worried about, more worried about Nico, but we'll keep an eye on this one.
6:24Congratulations on being O for one in properly pronouncing Joe Flacco's last name.
6:27Would you rather have Baker Mayfield right now in week two or Joe Burrow?
6:31Yeah. Again, we already had Burrow as a sit.
6:33So this kind of makes it an easier sit.
6:36Adam is 18 to my quarterback ranks. Yeah. Makes it an easier sit than it already was.
6:40Okay. Got it. All right. Let's talk about Thursday night football, my friends.
6:44Bills and Lions. Lions. This is going to be a really fun one here.
6:47Lineup blocks in this one include basically everybody. Holy smokes.
6:50That's a full page. Josh Allen, Jameer Gibbs, James Cook, Amon Ross St.
6:54Brown, DJ Moore, Jamison Williams, Sam Laporta. All of them are lineup blocks on this one.
6:58That is a good looking fantasy team right there.
7:00That's a whole team right there. Seriously, that really is.
7:03That is a squad in and of itself. So who are we really making conversations about in this one?
7:08I guess we're probably looking at Dalton Kincaid with what he did in week one.
7:12Mike, how you feeling? What do you have his projection after?
7:15Because we've seen Dalton Kincaid do this before. We've seen the pockets of the big games.
7:19I think he's startable for sure. He's a borderline tight end one at this point.
7:23I know you talked about this a little bit yesterday, but an impressive week one, 130 yards on six targets.
7:29We've seen that before from him. Last year, he had 14 plus fantasy points six times, but he had a ton of duds as well.
7:35He's just been all over the map. The reason?
7:38Playing time. But here's a few numbers for you.
7:40He played 77% of the offensive snaps last year.
7:42He was at 39%. He was on the field for 71% of their pass plays.
7:46Actually, his route participation was 71%. So we're not even counting plays where he pass blocked.
7:51That's up from 47% last season. Both of those numbers in the 70s were his highest since midway through 2024.
7:56It's been a long time. So that was a big change for Dalton Kincaid last week.
8:00That gives me a lot of hope that he can jump into the mid-range tight end one conversation.
8:05And how'd the Lions do against the Saints tight ends last week, Daniel?
8:09Okay, Michael. Not good. 7 for 87 and two touchdowns.
8:11Noah Fant got in on the action as well.
8:14Yes, he did. So a good spot here for Kincaid.
8:16If I scooped him up off waivers or I drafted him, I would certainly consider strongly streaming him this week.
8:22All right. So that's like the micro story, right?
8:24It's like we need Dalton Kincaid to live up to what he showed in week one.
8:28Let's talk more macro right now, guys. Let's talk about the important thing here tonight.
8:32Is that we are, how many hours? Less than, just about 10 hours away from kickoff right now.
8:37And what we are, I think, is on paper the fantasy friendliest game in this incredibly early season.
8:42Agreed. We're, what, 16 games into the NFL year.
8:44Yep. We need you guys to live up to the hype.
8:47All right. I need Josh Allen, 30 burger tonight.
8:50I need Jerry Goff, four touchdown passes. Jameer Gibbs, just do what you do normally and you'll be just fine.
8:55Jame-O, no egg this week. There's no bagel. All right.
8:58We need a big day here from Jamison Williams.
9:00We need Sam Laporta to find the end zone tonight.
9:03I need 70 points scored in real life between these two teams tonight.
9:06That is what tonight's game is all about. I feel like what you need is what happened last time.
9:11I think we even have a full screen of what it looked like the last time these two teams played.
9:17It was 48 to 42, guys. Okay. So give me this.
9:20I asked for 70. Give me 90. Jared Goff, 494 and five touchdowns.
9:23Amon Ross, St. Brown, 14 catches for 193 yards and a touchdown.
9:26Laporta, seven for 111. Not too much to ask, Sammy.
9:29Jame-O had three for 37 and a touchdown. Josh Allen, 363, two passing touchdowns plus 68 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
9:35All right. So doing some quick math there. That's 6.8.
9:38That's 8.8. He had over 40 points on that one.
9:40Both him and Goff had over 40 points. No big deal.
9:43James Cook had 105 yards and two rushing touchdowns in this one.
9:46Oh, Ty Johnson, five catches for 114 yards. Don't remind me.
9:49All right. So we need this. This is exactly what we are hoping for is the last time they played is this game right here.
9:56Field only won 70, though. He hates offense. That's weird.
9:59I want 70 in the first half is what I want.
10:02There we go. That's what I'm asking for. I'm not trying to be greedy here.
10:06I just want, we need a fantasy bonanza, right?
10:08Dalton Kade, I agree. Like, I'm glad Mike brought up.
10:11It's the only conversation. But everything else, just give me points.
10:14All right. Which means we're trending towards a 13 to 10 grinded out victory.
10:17Where Tyler Bass somehow kicks four field goals and an extra point.
10:21So much energy here now. I'm like, do I start Kade or Tyler Warren?
10:24Like, now I just want to start. Now I want more pieces of this game.
10:28There's so much hype around it. All right. I want it all.
10:32Guys, in the new stadium. First game in this new stadium for the Buffalo Bills.
10:36Who are you taking to win this one? I am taking the Buffalo Bills at home.
10:40Sorry, Daniel. Sorry, Daniel. Yeah. I'm going Bills by two.
10:43I think that's what you guys have to do.
10:45I think that's the appropriate pick. Yeah. That's weird.
10:47Do you pick the Lions? Wow. I'm shocked by this.
10:50I am, in fact, taking the Detroit Lions to win.
10:53Listen, someone's got to be the bad guy. Like, if you don't ride for your team, what is the point of being a fan?
10:59Exactly. Absolutely. They could be 0-9. I would still pick Detroit.
11:02Absolutely. 100%. I think these are maybe two top five teams in the NFL, too.
11:06So certainly once the Lions' defense gets healthier, you know, these are two powerhouse teams.
11:10All right. Let's dive into our Week 2 preview part one here.
11:13We've got a bunch of games to dive into, my friends.
11:16We're going to start with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Denver Broncos.
11:20Let's do it. Yeah. That's a fun one. How many lineup locks do we have in this one?
11:24Jalen Waddle. Jalen Waddle is still a lineup lock after what happened in Week 1.
11:28He's, he, he... Let's just talk about this. It's kind of good.
11:32I missed the show on Tuesday, and you guys gave some of this energy.
11:35So let me just reiterate it. Actually, you read the full lineup locks, and I'll talk about Jalen Waddle.
11:40Jalen Waddle, wide receiver 23. Courtland Sutton, wide receiver 31.
11:43And Parker Washington, obviously on the other side. Definitely a lineup lock at wide receiver 27 for our consensus rankings.
11:48Field, go ahead and take the stage. All right, so one game is not enough for us to feel like the Broncos
11:54have, like, illegitimate plans for Jalen Waddle within their offense.
11:57Because they are going to get him going because they traded the first-round pick for him.
12:01Like, it needs to happen. And if for some reason it doesn't, then I will readjust my stance and be like, this
12:07was an absolutely ridiculous move to make for a roster that was so good that the value you were getting in a
12:13first-round pick to address one of your other minor needs.
12:16Because I wouldn't say the wide receiver was, like, this absolutely game-changing need for Denver.
12:20A wide receiver, one, who could stretch the field if you actually threw the ball down the field would be useful.
12:25But Bo Nix, uh-uh, no more. Can't be playing like the Bo Nix we saw too often last year.
12:30Like, Monday night was forgettable of the highest order.
12:33There were a couple of year three quarterbacks that really did not.
12:36You know, Drake May, Jaden Daniels, Bo Nix. More questions and answers after week one for those three guys.
12:41Caleb Williams, you're good. We need it, though. Jalen Waddell is going to be a factor for this Denver Broncos offense.
12:47It starts on Sunday. It isn't... I think this Jaguars defense is pretty legit, but that Chiefs defense just had so many
12:53more answers schematically than I think most defenses will present for the Broncos.
12:56I think Jalen Waddell gets on track. Yeah, I'm weirdly not worried about this.
13:00Unless you really think that Davis Webb can't call a game and is just going to blow up.
13:05But if that keeps happening, they'll go back to Sean Payton.
13:07So I'm just not worried. I mean, think about last year.
13:10I mean, Corlin's son the last two years has been terrific with Bo Nix.
13:14Also, your guy Troy Franklin was pretty relevant for a big chunk of last season.
13:18I mean, I'm just not really sweating this one at all.
13:21I haven't really moved the needle on Waddell. They're going to get him involved, to your point.
13:26Bo Nix is good enough to get him the ball.
13:28It was a really tough matchup. It was in Kansas City against a division rival.
13:32That game was a disaster. They're going to get back on track soon and perhaps this week at home.
13:37Maybe you guys have never met anyone that's played fantasy football before.
13:41But sometimes week one overreactions cause you to think about things that you would normally not do.
13:45And three targets, one catch for two yards from Jalen Waddell.
13:48There's a bad drop there, too. Would at least feel like emotionally like, did I just get this wrong?
13:53Did we all overthink this? I'm not disagreeing with you guys.
13:56I'm just saying that I think that's a bigger question than you're letting on.
14:00Because people are like... So rude on the screen right now.
14:03That's so mean. By the way, two things. First of all, this isn't like Marvin Harrison Jr.
14:07coming into the NFL. We've seen Waddell play for a long time.
14:11He's a very good player. He's very good. We know that for sure.
14:14And the other part is something I'm forgetting now.
14:16I'll tell you what you're forgetting. I'll just take it from you, Mike.
14:20Have you guys seen this tweet? I got to be honest with you.
14:23The joke is made like once a week on fantasy Twitter and it still makes me laugh.
14:28Or someone will start with like a leading headline like, Marvin Harrison Jr.
14:31is a baller. Here are the only wide receivers I'm starting over him in week two.
14:36And because Twitter now allows you to use as many characters as you want, it goes through like 50 receivers.
14:41And then the bottom... I saw this on Twitter.
14:43I forget who it was. And it was like the last one was Xavier Worthy or something.
14:48Or Khalil Shakir. And it was like, that's it.
14:5051 guys. That's funny. And that's it. That's so good.
14:53All right. Yeah. But Jalen Waddell, the Broncos have to get it going with Jalen Waddell.
14:57I hope that this is one of those funky week one things that we look back on.
15:02Me too. Can you believe the Broncos got gobsmacked by the Chiefs?
15:0531-10 on Monday Night Football in week one. One note from the Broncos that we can talk about more further if we need to tomorrow.
15:12RJ Harvey was a non-participant in an estimated practice report on Wednesday.
15:15So we have our antenna up a little bit more about one of the Broncos running backs.
15:20How does... Just last thing and then we'll talk about Jaguars.
15:22How does Clay Eye take into effect that Sean Payton's wife drafted Jalen Waddell?
15:26How about that? He needs to get involved in week two.
15:29Otherwise, Sean Payton's sleeping on the couch. Slightly higher target share projection.
15:32Because of that, it does bump it up just a little bit.
15:36Or call an extra player too. Okay. Or I'll tell Davis.
15:39Can you believe that though? That's pretty cool actually.
15:41I mean, it's great. It's awesome. But it's like you tell your wife to draft this guy and he has one catch for two yards.
15:48That's not good. That's not good. By the way, speaking of looking back and being like, oh, do you remember when that happened?
15:54First of all, like remember last year? Dustin Fields went off as a passer.
15:58Oh, that too. But also the Patriots lost to the Raiders.
16:00That is accurate. But I tweeted right after the Chargers lost to Arizona.
16:04I was like, the Chargers are definitely going to the Super Bowl now, right?
16:08Like they're definitely going to. So we can look back at that and be like, remember when they lost to the Cardinals on week one?
16:14You should stick it into existence. At the Super Bowl if the Chargers make it to them.
16:19I agree. The Chargers Rams. I mean, there you go.
16:22In the LA Stadium. Tough commute. Yeah. Mike, what's going on with the Jaguars running back?
16:26Do you see enough in week one either way to have one of them projected as a startable option here?
16:31Yeah. So I actually looked. Remember we talked about this Monday a little bit and we were like, we saw a lot
16:37of Chris Rodriguez early and it seemed like maybe he was the lead back.
16:41But I looked at actually like play by play through and that was actually not the case.
16:45But you saw Toon was plenty involved. He was on the field a lot.
16:49So it was more even early on and then Toon kind of took control in the second half.
16:54So I don't think it was an element of kind of protecting lead back Chris Rodriguez.
16:58I think Toon is their lead back. But they did use four running backs.
17:02You know? Yeah. LaQuint Allen and Demir. Yeah. They combined for six snaps.
17:05But it's clear they're going to use those guys in some sort of capacity.
17:09They're going to get a series here or there in obvious passing situations.
17:13But they did. Yeah. Six snaps for them. Toon played 27.
17:1627. 23 for Rodriguez. But again, Toon had a nice edge in carries.
17:1915 to 6. And it was pretty even in routes.
17:22I would like to see more Toon routes. It was 9 for him.
17:2510 for Rodriguez. They combined for one target. That has to increase for Toon if he's going to be a serviceable RB2.
17:31Toon did play well. He had 88 yards on 16 touches in this game.
17:35And now goes up against the Denver Broncos. Yes, they were crushed by Ken Walker.
17:39I get it. But, you know, remember early last season, the Broncos were crushed by O'Marion Hampton and Jonathan Taylor.
17:44They had two awful games against them. Yeah. They allowed the fewest fantasy points to running backs last season, even with those games included.
17:51So, this is still a very tough defense. They're going on the road here.
17:54I'm a little low on Toon this week. I'm at RB31.
17:57So, I think he's not the greatest flex option.
18:00But there was enough there in week one that there's hope that he can get into that conversation in neutral matchups moving forward.
18:06Ideally, you don't have to play either of these running backs.
18:09Let's reflect that. You just have better options available to you.
18:12Yeah, right now. Yeah, yeah. And Chris Rodriguez, I mean, he only had six touches in that game.
18:17It wasn't much. You know, he's still going to be there.
18:19That game a little bit of a throwaway for the Jaguars backfield, though.
18:23Maybe. Maybe. Because they just... A little bit. Maybe.
18:25But, again, you might think that they would lean more on Rodriguez in a situation like that.
18:30So, I don't know when they're ahead. Like, that seems like what he was there for.
18:34So, I don't know. Maybe they're also telling us Tootin's the guy.
18:37But, for now, tough matchup. I'm going to avoid this one.
18:40I'm picking the Broncos. I'm picking the Broncos. Ah, I'm picking the Jaguars.
18:44Sorry about that. That was good. Okay, okay. I'm also taking the Jaguars in this one.
18:48Would you have picked... If this game was week one, would you have picked the Jags, do you think?
18:53I would have picked the Broncos, probably. Yeah. So, you're kind of moving the needle a little bit.
18:58A little bit, yeah. Okay, that's fair. I mean, I can totally see the Jaguars.
19:02Must win for the Broncos? Who do they play in week three?
19:05Can't start 0-2. I don't know. Who is it?
19:08Rams. Sunday night football. Oh, we've got to have it.
19:100-3 is... Rams might have a must win themselves on Monday night against the G-Men.

19:41Many people's first serious relationship didn't start with a kiss.
19:44It started with a kickoff. Or perhaps it was love at first hike.
19:47But unfortunately, many of these football lovers don't live in the same city as their team, which is why Marriott Bonvoy has

19:59So if you want to stay closer to your team, check in for game day with Marriott Bonvoy, the official sponsor of the NFL.
20:05We'll see you there. Every game day starts before the lights go up.
20:09Before the snap. Before the roar. Something's already at work.
20:11Cleaner, quieter energy production. Running where the game lives.
20:14Strong enough for fourth and goal. Smart enough for what comes next.
20:17Powering game day. Powering the fans and powering the communities that show up every Saturday.
20:21The same energy that runs your stadium, runs the schools and the hospital in your neighborhood.
20:25That is performance. Powered by bloom energy. Powering game days.
20:28Powering communities. Let's talk about the next really exciting game on the slate.
20:31Steelers Patriots. That's a fun one. A lot of line of locks in this one.
20:36Ramondre Stevenson and us. The Fantasy Focus Countdown Show.
20:38That's right. A reminder or a note, perhaps, that Travion Henderson is now back practicing in full for the Patriots.
20:43So, Ramondre, if there was no Travion, might be ranked a few spots higher than RB20.
20:48We'll see how much Travion's role impacts, or his presence impacts Ramondre's role.
20:51Those are two big, long names to pronounce. They are.
20:54Ramondre Stevenson and Travion Henderson. The third guy is Corey Kinnear.
20:57It's different. That's different. Onix, Corey Kinnear. Corey Kinnear.
20:59Big story here, obviously, and everyone knows this. AJ Brown going to miss a number of weeks.
21:04Placed on IR. We don't have Drake May listed as a lineup lock for this one.
21:08And when we're calling him not a lineup lock, we just call him Drake May, not Drake Drake May.
21:13Exactly. Drake Drake May. He'll be two this week.
21:15Without AJ Brown in this offense, Mike, how do you have the receiving core kind of breaking out with your projection?
21:21This is, I mean, look, if you had to...
21:23Oh, I'm sorry. Oh, you wanted the receivers. Yeah, I have Pat Fryer moved here.
21:27So, I just wanted to pass along some numbers from last week.
21:31Let's note a couple things. I'll give you the data in a moment, but let's note that how a team handles an
21:36injury within a game does not always forecast how they'll handle an injury when they've known about it for a full 10
21:42days like the Patriots will have by Sunday with the AJ Brown injury.
21:46I'm also going to alert that it's supposed to be nasty weather here on Sunday in New England.
21:51We'll see whether that rain hits Gillette Stadium. More to come on Fantasy Focus Countdown.
21:55But in those, there were 20 passing dropbacks after AJ Brown got hurt.
21:58He got hurt about a minute and a half into the third quarter.
22:02They had 20 subsequent dropbacks. Of those 20, Mack Hollins and Romeo Dobbs were on the field for all 20 dropbacks.
22:07Ramondre Stevenson, I'm sorry, DeMario Douglas, Pop Douglas was on the field for 19 of them.
22:11So lots of three receiver sets. Ramondre Stevenson, 18 routes run.
22:14Hunter Henry ran 14 routes of those 20 dropbacks.
22:17And then Len Larrison had one route good enough for one target as well.
22:21So I think that when the Patriots line up in three wide receiver sets this upcoming weekend, it's going to be Mack
22:26Hollins, Romeo Dobbs, and Pop Douglas on the field a ton.
22:29Listen, Romeo Dobbs, I know that his stock is about as low as it could be after week one for a guy that signed a massive contract.
22:37This is the opportunity to make good on it, right?
22:39It just is. Like, Romeo Dobbs got a lot of money this offseason from the Patriots before AJ Brown was traded there
22:45because they felt like they got an upgrade on Stephon Diggs.
22:48If Stephon Diggs was still there with the Patriots right now and AJ Brown was out, we'd be saying, is this guy
22:54a top 15 wide receiver in fantasy for week two?
22:57So this is Romeo Dobbs' time to shine. He better shine or else that contract could start to age poorly in a hurry.
23:03But as of right now, I rank the Patriots wide receivers as Romeo Dobbs in my flex spot.
23:08Mack Hollins and Demario Douglas would only be deeper league considerations.
23:11I would agree with that. I hope they... You know what?
23:13Go ahead. Save my thought for later. Oh, my God.
23:16I want to see one more wide receiver involved.
23:19I want to save that for the end of the show.
23:22What do you want to say on Pat Friermuth?
23:24Big dutch, dutch. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Pat Friermuth. Yeah, I felt good about his usage last week.
23:28I think that this is a guy who, after his first year, we thought might be a regular mid-to-back-end tight end one for a long time.
23:35It obviously did not work great in the Arthur Smith offense, but maybe he's back in that conversation now.
23:40Remember, Jonu Smith was there last year. He's not there anymore.
23:43Five for 46 and a touchdown last week on five targets.
23:46It was his best fantasy game since he had 28.1 points in week seven last season.
23:51That was his only game with 12 points last year, the whole season.
23:54But the difference, very much like Dalton Kincaid, is playing time.
23:57Last year, his route participation was 54%. This year, in week one, 72%.
24:01Big change. That's a big number for a tight end.
24:03That means you're not just out there, again, blocking.
24:06You're running routes. So, big change for Friermuth. Gives me some inspiration.
24:09You can get back into that, at least the streaming conversation.
24:12There's a lot of names in that area, but feeling pretty good about that.
24:16You're seeing a slightly different route number on this screen.
24:18Some people categorize them a little differently, but I'm at 72%.
24:21Screen says 81%. I like our numbers better. Wondering if you guys are buying into narrative street at all here for Pat Friermuth.
24:27Not really. You're not familiar with the narrative. I'm not.
24:30Yeah. Mike, you're basically a Massachusetts guy. Now you need to know these things.
24:34Pat Friermuth played his high school football at the Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts.
24:38Okay. He is considered by almost everybody. The second best athlete from the Brooks School in Massachusetts, obviously behind Chapin Duke.
24:43Yes. Got it. Thank you. My wife. Everyone knows that.
24:46Everyone knows that. I'll remember it now. Now I know.
24:49Narrative street in play here. The Patriots are winning this game, by the way.
24:52Yes. The Patriots are winning this game. Yeah. I have the Patriots as well.
24:56This is second time I've said this. Must win.
24:59Whoa. The producers go with the Steelers? Christina's a Steelers fan.
25:01Oh, that's right. She's doing the right thing. Biased.
25:04Yeah. Okay. She says Steelers. It's a must win for the Patriots.
25:07Jaguars and Bills on the road after this. Yes.
25:10Oh, boy. All right. Let's talk about this next one.
25:12Browns and Bucks. This one's not very fun, to be honest.
25:15There's really only one conversation really to talk about with this game.
25:18Are you going to take a phone call? We're going to throw it up there.
25:22Yeah. My wife, Rosie, is texting me right now.
25:25You're not interested in this game. She has strong thoughts on Pat Friermuth.
25:28No big deal. Browns and Buccaneers. Lineup locks. You got a lot of them.
25:32And by a lot, we mean two. Yeah. Bucky Irving and Emeka Abuka.
25:35I don't see anyone from the Browns up there.
25:38Can you argue with that? You know what? Until Deshaun Watson stops being the quarterback, are we going to have a lineup lock from the Browns?
25:45Can you imagine if they had a good quarterback like Baker Mayfield or something?
25:49Oh, wait. He's on the other team in this game.
25:51Ken Zampisi had some thoughts on that. I think it's actually news that we drafted Harold Fannin as tight end five or
25:57six, and we legitimately don't want to play him in week two.
26:00I know he will. He will get there, but he'll be okay.
26:03Yeah. But right now, sorry. I did not mean to have that.
26:07It's okay. Yeah. For the Browns, this feels like one where the upside is low enough across the board, absent garbage time,
26:13but you can just stay away until further notice, which might be week three when they return home and perhaps they have a new starting quarterback.
26:20The question, if there is really a question here, is is Bucky Irving just ready to smash once again?
26:25Let's talk through some of the numbers here on Bucky in week one, the things that we liked.
26:29Average, excuse me, he scored 20.3 fantasy points, which is a lot of points, and he was still only RB12 for the week.
26:36Good week for running backs in week one. Good week for NFL offenses.
26:39Yes, it was. But importantly for Bucky Irving, and we did not expect this to be the case, is that Bucky Irving
26:45had seven targets on just 21 routes in week one.
26:48So he had a target on a third of his routes.
26:51His seven catches ties his previous career high. It was the second most catches for any running back in all of week one.
26:57I think maybe... Yes. Someone had eight. Oh, it was...
26:59Was it H-N? No. No, Travis H-N. He had eight targets, didn't he?
27:03Or eight, nine targets? Might have been H-N. But bottom line is it was excellent on the receiving front there for Bucky Irving.
27:09He had 93 total scrimmage yards. And, of course, with Bucky Irving playing a lot as a receiver, it meant very little
27:15for Kenneth Gamewell, who had one target on 13 routes.
27:18So 61.5% snap share for Bucky Irving is a good number, not some dominant number, but he was very efficient and very involved in those snaps.
27:24Travis H-N did have seven catches. Seven out of nine.
27:27Yeah, he had nine because that game went to overtime against your Lions, as you know.
27:31He was very busy. You're both going to kick yourself.
27:34Did Jameer Gibbs have eight catches for 30 yards?
27:37John Robinson. Oh, yes. He was the only thing that worked in that Falcons offense.
27:41He had eight for 90 in a touchdown. We'll talk about them in a moment.
27:45Wait, so what was he? So Irving was third?
27:47I thought he said he was second. He was tied for second.
27:50Tied for second. Got it, got it, got it, got it.
27:53Okay. Yeah, man. All right. Which one are you taking in this one?
27:57Oh, come on. Here's the limb. I'm going out on it.
28:00Buccaneers. I am going with the Buccaneers, too. Me, the Buccaneers.
28:02All right, across the board, everyone's going with the Buccaneers on this one.

28:52shout out to our buddy Eric Moody. In case you didn't know, on Sunday mornings, he does an awesome new show called
28:58Fantasy Focus Sunday Kickoff presented by Lowe's. Live on the NFL and ESPN YouTube page starting at 1130 a.m.
29:03Eastern time to get your lineup set. It's a great second screen experience while you're watching Fantasy Focus Countdown.
29:08Head on over there and check that out and follow our guy at Eric N.
29:12Moody. Let's take a couple questions from our chat now here.
29:15This one comes from Tyler. Tyler wants to know, what do we do with A.J.
29:19Brown? What scenario do we hold? What scenario do we trade?
29:22I think the only way that you trade is like, it's going to be four games we know for sure, right?
29:27It could be more than that. Some believe it might be six is what I heard.
29:32Yeah. I would trade you David Montgomery for A.J.
29:34Brown. Don't get me started there. I consider that.
29:37So if you won your week one matchup, it obviously makes you lean a little more towards hold.
29:41This is like a little bit of a nuanced question, right?
29:44So hold to me comes under these circumstances. Independent of your week one results, if you like your roster as it stands
29:50going into week two, generally going to hold, unless someone makes you an offer that you're like, why on earth would this person do this?
29:57Yeah. Right? Like, I'm just going to throw a name out there.
30:00Not that this guy was great in week one.
30:02But if somebody offered you T. Higgins or Lad McConkie right now, those are guys that are being drafted somewhere between like
30:08wide receiver 13 and 16 range coming into the season.
30:11Would either of you take T. Higgins or Lad McConkie for A.J.
30:14Brown right now? Yeah, I would take Lad. Okay.
30:17So can I give you a real hypothetical trade offer that I got?
30:20You got one. Okay. So I have Jonathan Taylor.
30:23Is it a hypothetical if it's a real trade offer?
30:25Oh, yeah. Yes, it is. Good point. No, this is a real hypothetical.
30:29Yeah, well, it was in the past and has been since I already made a decision on it.
30:33I have Jonathan Taylor. Yep. The person at A.J.
30:36Brown offered me A.J. Brown. And you're ready for this.
30:39O'Marion Hampton. For your Jonathan Taylor. Yes. I'm assuming you said no?
30:42I said no. Yeah. But that's a good one, though.
30:44Yeah. I mean, I won Taylor the next six weeks over Hampton.
30:48It might work out where, I don't know, Taylor only outscores Hampton by, let's just say 50 points and A.J.
30:53Brown comes back and is a wide receiver one.
30:55And maybe it would have worked out, but I'm just not going to mess with that right now.
31:00That's a healthy offer, though. O'Marion Hampton and A.J.
31:03Brown for... It was a good offer. Yes. I thought about it.
31:06I think after week one, generally speaking, the only time in which you're making a trade in this scenario is if it's
31:12like, it's so obvious that it would require some lunacy to say no.
31:15Sure. Yeah. Right. But there's so little data. There's so little data.
31:18And also, when it comes to a player like Taylor or Gibbs or Robbins, like those guys are first round, cemented elite players.
31:25It's so hard to move on from that. It goes to your point you make often, right?
31:29Which is it's not just that you are... It's Jonathan Taylor plus whoever you have as your next depth wide receiver.
31:35Exactly right. You're not taking a zero for Brown, right?
31:37Right. So if you draft it, I'm just making this up, Debo Samuel, but you trade for A.J.
31:42Brown, well, Debo gets relegated to the bench. Like, Jonathan Taylor plus Debo Samuel for A.J.
31:46Brown and O'Marion Hampton might sound like the Jonathan Taylor side is a clear winner.
31:50We'll see, but it sounds like it in some ways.
31:53Also, this is why you need to have an IR spot because a lot of times I'll throw someone on my IR
31:59right after the draft or just to utilize it as an extra roster spot.
32:03A.J. Brown is the kind of player that's meant for IR.
32:06You can sit him there, hold on if you need to.
32:09And then, so just to play into that, DeSean Stribbling, an example of a guy you could cut loose.
32:14You could cut loose because of it. He's not going to be out.
32:17We mentioned that, but probably closer to 10 weeks now.
32:20So not a guy you can keep stashed. You don't have to worry about that one anymore.
32:24All right. Let's take another question here from chat.
32:27This next one comes from... Salaam wants to know, should I start Jared Goff tonight?
32:31I have Joe Burrow. Independent of what happens with Joe Burrow.
32:34And again, all signs continue to point towards him playing on Sunday.
32:37Independent of that, I have Jared Goff ranked higher than Joe Burrow.
32:40Yep. Agreed. I'm with you on that. All right.
32:43Next one comes from Mano wants to know, we think Golden or Waddle as the wide receiver to this week.
32:48Matthew Golden saw 12 targets. A lot of it in garbage time.
32:51Yeah. But still a healthy target share, guys. Like the talent I saw on display there.
32:55I like Jalen Waddle. Waddle for sure. Yeah. Not there yet on Golden.
32:59By the way, I saw, I believe I saw one of our question askers from yesterday, and I think I screwed it up.
33:05Realtor Andrick, I think it's Andrick. Like the name is Andrick.
33:08And I thought, you know, it was Realtor Andrick.
33:10Maybe it is. I think it's Andrick. So Andrick, if you're out there watching right now, I just wanted to say shout out to you.
33:17Thanks for your loyalty for checking in. I know.
33:19I know. He realized in the middle of the night, he was like, oh.
33:23Here's the deal. Oh, man. Andrick, let me just say this.
33:26I care about you. I care about the people.
33:29I care about the chat. I care about our community.
33:31Of course. Mike cares about projections. Yeah. So you decide what's more valuable in your life.
33:36He's going to be like. But I care about you.
33:38The person is going to be like, no, it is Andrick.
33:41I'm a realtor and I'm married to someone named Rick.
33:44Realtor and Rick. And that's what it was. So you spent all that time for nothing.
33:48Nope. Mike wants to move on. Field wants to do one more question.
33:52And because Field's the man of the people, we're going to do one more question.
33:56Super Yoni wants to know, would you start Ted Rowe McMillan, Devontae Adams, or Debo Samuel?
34:00Ooh. I like Debo after what I saw last week, but not going there.
34:04I have it ranked as their list on the screen.
34:06Ted McMillan, Devontae Adams, and then Debo. Me too.
34:09I have Adams one spot ahead of McMillan. It's a close call.
34:12I think playing the Giants versus going into Atlanta for Carolina, I think they come back to earth based on Bryce Young's track record.
34:18I'm leaning Adams, but close call. You got to go either way.
34:21For Silver Foxes, though. So that checks out. Have you guys seen, how long until we start to have the Jalen Coker versus Ted McMillan conversation?
34:28It's already starting to boil. After this week. Really?
34:31I think so. I think, yeah. Well, let's see how the usage looks this week.
34:35I think then it becomes, because this has gone back to last year.
34:38The last two weeks of last season, Coker was over 16 fantasy points.
34:42So I think McMillan's the better player, I want to say.
34:45The better raw talent. But it doesn't always work that way.
34:48I don't know. But I still lean McMillan. But we'll start having a conversation soon.
34:52I think it starts to be a conversation this week.
34:54Coker's just got to keep up that target share.
34:57And I think we could have a Bryce Young conversation, too, if he plays well.
35:01He's had Atlanta's number recently. But he also has this history of having a big game and then just going way down the two.
35:07We talked about this on the waiver show on Tuesday.
35:10So we'll see. He has to show it consistently.
35:12Guys, let's just talk about... Can I test Mike one more time?
35:15Yeah, go ahead. Yeah. Jalen Coker from West Charleston University Tech.
35:18Okay, so he started his career there. Oh, okay.
35:21Okay. Holy Cross. Holy Cross. Come on! When I'm testing you, it's going to be Massachusetts-related.
35:25All Massachusetts. I'm not there yet. I knew that.
35:28I'm still a rookie in the Massachusetts area. So I'm going to take a while.
35:32Have enough lobster rolls and you won't be. All right.
35:34Let's dive into a little bit more about this Falcons-Panthers games, my friend.
35:38We were already a little bit in on these Panthers-wide receivers.
35:41Here are the lineup locks we have in this one.
35:43Bajon Robinson obviously had eight catches in week one.
35:46Drake London still a lineup lock, even though emotionally it feels not fun to throw him out there.
35:51And Tedaroa McMillan. Let's ask this question right off the bat.
35:53Field, if Cooper Rush is the quarterback, do I still have to start Drake London?
35:57Not totally sold on that myself. I know Mike might feel differently, but I am not there yet.
36:02I'm going to sort of process that over the next couple of days.
36:06Yep. I mean, their head coach, Kevin Stefanski, wouldn't even rule out Jack Strand, the fourth-string QB.
36:10Sounds like probably no Michael Penix Jr. yet this week.
36:13And Tua sounds probably not as well. Is it Sternad?
36:16It's Strand. I don't know. I can't read. Strand.
36:18Jack Sternad. I thought it was Strand, but that's what I have it as.
36:22Strand, yes. There is a Sternad. There's like a linebacker Sternad.
36:25Justin Sternad from the Denver Broncos. There's also a good Sternad.
36:28I actually don't know on Justin. Oh. Got him.
36:30Got him. Got him. Got him. There's one on the board.
36:33Colorado. One career member. I love that. Random name on there.
36:36Thank you. All right. Well executed. Do you guys want the good news or the bad news on the Falcons offense from week one with Cooper Rush?
36:43Give me the bad news first. Let's start there.
36:46The Falcons did not settle for a field goal or a turnover or a turnover on downs on any of their trips to the red zone last week.
36:53That sounds like a good news. That's a good news.
36:56Oh, okay. Oh, so you just ignored us? Oh, yes.
36:58I never listened to you. That's the good news.
37:01What? Where was the bad part? All right. Here's the bad news.
37:04Okay. Oh, okay. They were the only team in the NFL.
37:07So there's... You set us up for that. The NFL.
37:10I did. Remember back in the day, the 20-yard line at different stadiums used to be like highlighted.
37:14They would do like a double thick line. They would dress it up a little bit.
37:19That seems to have gone by the wayside. But it used to be very obvious where the red zone was.
37:24Yep. The Falcons ignored it. They never got there.
37:26The Falcons did not read the friggin' red zone last year, last week against the Steelers.
37:31The only offense they had was B. John Robinson being Superman.
37:34He did run through the red zone. Yes. Yes.
37:36That was bad. Yes. That was the only time.
37:39All right? So that's how bad the offense as a whole was.
37:42Yeah. This is amazing, though. Last week, 31 teams had their wide receivers and tight ends combined for at least 10 receptions,
37:48which is not that significant of a number to reach.
37:50It seems like there's one team not on that one.
37:53There will be one team. 32 teams minus 30.
37:55That's what leaves one team. 10 plus receptions for the wide receivers and tight ends.
37:59The Falcons. Every single wide receiver and tight end.
38:02In week one combined for four catches. That's disgusting.
38:04Four. That's bad. Four. Not even 10. They couldn't even get to 10.
38:08Every other team did. We've been dunking on the Browns offense all week.
38:11Have you seen how pathetic that offense was? They got to 10.
38:14The Falcons couldn't even get to five. That's brutal.
38:17This offense was completely non-functional in week one. And I know the Steelers are a pretty good defense.
38:22And they're a better defense in Carolina this upcoming weekend.
38:24I know the Panthers just said 59 hung on them.
38:27But this offense is non-functioning right now, given the quarterback state.
38:30So I've got real concerns. You start Jack Strand.
38:32Give us some hope. I at least want to see him.
38:35I mean, he had a good preseason. Like, put him out there.
38:38Sure. Yes. Great. My point is this. We want Jack Strand.
38:41That's right. So I want Jack Strand, too. I don't know.
38:44Whatever. I want Tua. I mean, yeah. Perfect. What I really want is Michael Penix Jr.
38:49But he's not healthy. So I want. I need it.
38:51I need it now, though. But guys, like, it hurt me to have to watch this offense.
38:56So I don't know. I. Can I tell you a situation I'm in?
38:59Please. Yes, I need it. I've got Drake London in a couple of leagues.
39:03Dynasty League included. Dynasty League included. Yeah. And at least this week, I'm going to trust it one more time.
39:08Drake London is too talented. I think they've got.
39:11I have to give him an opportunity to right the ship.
39:14I can't, like, bail after the first bat. I'm going to buy in.
39:17Lowering my expectations. I don't know what that means.
39:20There's no actionable to that. But it's just like, I'm not expecting Drake London to be what I drafted him to be.
39:25But I'm not going to bench him yet. After this game, if we don't have a quarterback change, then we're just going
39:31to have to have a bigger conversation. Yeah. He's one of those guys where after.
39:35There's a short list of guys like this. Where if they have a game where they only have, like, two or three targets.
39:41Or a complete disaster. And, you know, during the week, they're like, okay, we have to fix that.
39:46Those guys generally come back the next week and just are peppered early on with targets.
39:51Yeah. I would. That would be my expectation. He's at that level.
39:54So nervous. Doesn't feel good about it. I had a thought on Dynasty and Drake London.
39:58We can take in the minute. I think we have something for the chat on Jack Strand.
40:03Chat? Let's bring it up. It's Strand. My bad.
40:05Oh, but as a Falcons fan, if it's Rush, I don't blame y'all sitting London or any Falcon not named Bajon.
40:11Rush's performance has to be the worst QB performance in recent history.
40:14From C Santiago 7. Two for his QBR. Guys, it was awful.
40:17At least he saved Bajon, though. We'll give him that.
40:20We'll give him one point. He didn't save Bajon.
40:22Don't you dare say that. Bajon saved Bajon. He has to throw it to him.
40:26He has to throw him to the ball. Bull crap.
40:29He threw the ball like four feet. And Bajon took it 60 yards.
40:32No, Robinson did it all. But at least he got it in his hands.
40:36So, you know, we complain about that sometimes where the guy, you know, you're not getting these fantasy relevant guys the ball at all.
40:42And that's a problem. We're like, come on, just get it in their hands.
40:46He didn't do it for Pitts or London. But at least Robinson.
40:49That's fair. If it wasn't for Scott Mitchell, Barry Sanders probably wouldn't be a good running back.
40:54You're right. Probably not. Probably not. Who are you taking in this one?
40:57Panthers or Falcons? I'm taking the Panthers in this one.
41:00Yeah, me too. I am taking the Panthers. You know what dawned on me from, I think everybody across the board took the Panthers in this one?
41:07Producers as well? Yeah. I believe you are correct.
41:10Yeah. Sure did. Unless I'm, yeah, there we go.
41:12Remember Drake London, you're on your dynasty team. You won the league this past year.
41:16I did. Two years ago in the semifinals, you were playing, I think Matthew.
41:20Yes. Barry. And he had Jared Goff and Amon Ra.
41:23That was like the last game that either one of you had any players.
41:26It was a 425 game. And you were up, I don't know, some ridiculous amount of points going into that game.
41:32And then he came back and got you. Do you know what game that was?
41:36The Lions. Bills. Is that the Bills game? We're not really.
41:39The 48-40. That's how I was thinking about it.
41:41I lost two matchups because of that game. Yeah, there was another where I had also went up against our buddy Kurt in the Michigan Men.
41:48Not in the Michigan Men League, but our buddy.
41:51So you're going to have flashbacks tonight. I have so much scar tissue from that game.
41:55At least you're going to be more positive. We could have faced each other in the finals.
41:59Yeah. I wish that we had field. Trust me.
42:02Honestly, though, you kind of don't because my team in the finals, I had.
42:06You smashed. It was like, it was, if you guys may recall this, but the Ravens played the Texans on Christmas Day, two Christmases ago.
42:12Okay. Yeah. And I have Lamar and Derrick Henry.
42:15I'll never forget. Yeah. I was sitting there watching with my father-in-law and he was like, why is this guy jumping like an absolute maniac every play?
42:22I'm like, because did you see Derrick Henry go off for like 120 yards and a touchdown in the first half?
42:27So that was a good week for the team.
42:30Yeah. Anyways. Hopefully we get a good week from the Jets and Packers here, Mike.
42:34Why don't you and I talk about that one?
42:36Okay. It's going to be interesting. The Jets actually weren't too bad in week one.
42:40Lineup locks for this one. The two guys that we would expect, Brace Hall and Garrett Wilson for the Packers.
42:46I see Christian Watson, Tucker Craft. I don't see any running backs on there, Michael.
42:50No running backs. By the way, the Jets bar is just like, they weren't that bad.
42:54Like that's like a bar for the Jets now.
42:56It's like, yeah, that's true. Honestly. No, that's big progress for them.
43:00That's great. Like they were atrocious again. If Geno Smith can make those two guys fantasy relevant for the entire season, that's
43:05the best thing that we can hope for. That's kind of my point.
43:09I know. Just get the ball to those guys and we're happy.
43:12And at some point, Kenyon City. Mike, I just said that on Drake London, we're not going to bail after one week.
43:18What about the Packers running backs? Are we allowed to bail after one week?
43:22Yes, for now. For now. The distribution was not in Marshawn Lloyd's favor and we needed it to be in his favor to trust him as an RB2.
43:29I think he's still in the flex conversation in this matchup, but look, he was out snap 37 to 30.
43:35He did have an edge of 13 to seven in carries, which was good.
43:38But the routes were, the passing down work leaned toward Chris Brooks.
43:42I actually looked at specifically when they called pass.
43:44Chris Brooks was on the field for 30 of those plays to 16 for Marshawn Lloyd.
43:48Wow. Basically doubled them up. That is not great.
43:51Not good. Also, Marshawn Lloyd didn't, like, whereas Bashaw Tewin, like, played well and you're like, okay, maybe earn more.
43:56Same thing with, like, Ja'Cory Krosky-Meritt. Marshawn Lloyd did not in this one.
43:59I know it was a really tough matchup, but 13 carries for 37 yards.
44:03That's 2.8 yards per carry. Chris Brooks went seven for 29.
44:06That's over four yards per carry. So that was even a little better.
44:10I know the scenarios are a little bit different, you know, guys in the box, whatever it might be.
44:15But Lloyd did not earn a larger share of the pie in that game.
44:18And the Jets were good against the opposing running backs last week.
44:22So I'm avoiding this one if I can. Me too.
44:24I'm just looking at the pass catchers. I would be starting Christian Watson if I have him.
44:29I would be starting Tucker Kraft if I had him.
44:31And you could start Golden as a flex. He's not there yet where he's a lineup block, but he's at least now in the company.
44:38Field and I both have him at wide receiver 34.
44:41So in a 12-team league, he would fall in that flex radar based on what he did.
44:45Again, we don't think that 12 targets is going to happen again because so much of it was in garbage time.
44:51But it was nice seeing him at least be utilized.
44:54Yeah, we were talking. We were in like a group text talking about how Watson was doing everything and Golden nothing in the first half.
45:00And then it kind of flipped in the second half and Golden just went off.
45:04But again, they were they had fallen behind when that really started.
45:08Yeah. You know, and he kind of soaked up a ton of volume.
45:11So we're not we're not lineup block territory yet, but good start.
45:14That's really it here. Not a while I was like to talk about this game.
45:18You're taking the Packers or the Jets? Tougher than I thought it was going to be to pick this game coming into
45:24week two, but I'm taking the Packers. Wow. Packers at home here, right?
45:28All of us except for the producers who took the Jets, which is a little bit of a shock.
45:33It is in New York, but I'll leave Packers.
45:35I think that's yeah. Our buddy Quentin Thorne, who helps us out with a bunch of stuff here.
45:40He is a big Packers fan. Surprised the producers did not go with.
45:43Oh, but the other producer, Zach, is a Jets fan.
45:46I understand why we picked the Jets now. A little side bet up in the control room.
45:51I get it. All right. Let's talk Raiders and Chargers Field.
45:54I mentioned this a little bit yesterday and we'll dive in a little bit more, but lineup blocks on this one.
45:59Ashton Gentry. Brock Bowers, if he plays. Still waiting to get a little bit more information.
46:03Yep. We'll continue to monitor that. Obviously, check out Fantasy Focus Countdown Sunday morning, 10 a.m.
46:08Eastern time on ESPN2. We will give you all the latest when inactives come out for the Chargers.
46:13We got Lad McConkie and Omari and Hampton. Field, this is the matchup.
46:16We need the Chargers to get on track. Be the Mike McDaniel offense that we thought we were going to see last week.
46:22How do you feel about starting Chargers this week in Fantasy?
46:25Well, a lot less excited than I did last week.
46:28I'll tell you that much. But Lad McConkie, who we'll see whether he plays, doesn't sound like there's a ton of optimism at the moment.
46:34A big chest injury. If he's ribbed, I think is what they're calling it.
46:38Yes. If he is out, it's not like there's a Chargers wide receiver that I say, okay, Lad out.
46:43You're starting him. Probably Quinton Johnson will be my highest ranked.
46:46But the Chargers converted on third down twice last week.
46:49On the plus side, the Browns didn't do that.
46:51Twice. So they beat the Browns. Part of the issue, though, is they just didn't have the ball at all in this game last week.
46:58They had 22 minutes and 29 seconds of time of possession in Week 1.
47:02Only the Titans had more. So I'm not going to excuse this Week 1 performance.
47:06It was awful. It was pathetic. It was embarrassing.
47:08I felt a sense of guilt watching them because I was so optimistic about this offense.
47:12Mike McDaniel, with much lesser personnel, has made much more out of his offenses.
47:16That was totally not the case in Week 1.
47:19This is it. We talked about this on yesterday's show.
47:21Like, you do it this week, and you build some confidence, and you prove that some of that hype, if not all that hype, was deserved.
47:28Or we are pulling the plug on our Chargers optimism almost right away.
47:32And by the way, this goes to everybody. Like, no one was good.
47:35It's not like, you know, you're a Martin Hampton guy.
47:38Like, you'll probably be feeling comparably disappointed if he once again sort of has a turd game.
47:42You know what it'll make me feel like? It'll make me feel like how Chase Brown started last season.
47:47Yeah, although the schedule is just going to get brutal now for the Chargers.
47:51But I had high expectations, and it took Chase Brown a long time.
47:55That's the thing. And I agree with you. Yesterday, we talked about this.
47:58Like, this is a game. He has to get it going.
48:01The next one, traveling across the country at Buffalo.
48:03Okay, Buffalo's not the defense it used to be.
48:06So you maybe have another game after this, and then the schedule just gets brutal.
48:10So you need to build that confidence now. Yeah, he is going to have to run the ball well, too.
48:15Because, I mean, Keaton Mitchell ran my routes in this game.
48:18It was 10-7. Neither one of them was targeted.
48:21I don't even want you guys to say his name.
48:23It should be a swear word. But again, if he's just going to be Derek Henry, though, and, like, it's all based
48:29on carry volume, and he's only going to get a couple targets.
48:32That's a problem. Like, he's really going to have to run the ball well.
48:36It's a good opportunity at home against a Raiders team they should be better than.
48:40But again, we thought that last week against Arizona, and they were disappointed.
48:44So I'm with you. Huge game for our long-term expectations for the Chargers.
48:47Let's say that Brock Bowers doesn't go in this one.
48:50Michael Mayer slotting in as a low-end, tight-end one like he did in Week 1.
48:54It was fine last week. Similar expectations. I mean, startable.
48:56I mean, how many options were there last week that proved to be startable?
49:00By the way, I said the other day, I said Bryce Young was fine in Week 1, and I'm getting hammered on
49:06social from Panthers fans because he played well. I said fine in Week 1 from a fantasy perspective.
49:11I was talking about his point total of 19.
49:13I was not talking about film watching. He averaged 17 points in the game last year.
49:18He had 19 in this game. That was the point.
49:20He was fine. He wasn't like a spectacular fantasy quarterback.
49:23That's what I meant. Yes, Bryce Young was awesome in Week 1.
49:26We'll see if he can do it. But, again, he has a history of not doing it in back-to-back games.
49:31Can our production team clip that? Yes, please. And then doctor it?
49:35And it says Bryce Young. You don't need to doctor it.
49:38People hear what they want to hear. They've already decided I'm a Bryce Young hater.
49:42Bryce Young was case on booty in Week 1.
49:44Same thing with Mayer. I'm not saying he played poorly.
49:47He's a very good tight end. Could be a tight end one for a lot of teams.
49:51But his fantasy output was fine. It was fine.
49:54It was like nine points. Yep. Who are you taking this one?
49:57Raiders or Chargers? Chargers get it done. Chargers for me as well.
50:00I'm buying into Chargers one more week before I start to fully hit the panic button.
50:04All right. Eagles and Titans. Hey. I know the Eagles.
50:07Are you... Okay. The lineup box tells me everything I need to know.
50:10We got Saquon Barkley, Jalen Hurts, Devonta Smith. The Titans seem to be the other team outside of the Browns right now with the quarterback situation.
50:17But that one has like a limit of time.
50:20That's fair. It's got to change. I can't imagine starting any Titans right now with confidence.
50:24When's Cam Ward panic time? I mean, you got the guys around you now.
50:28Tate, Wandale, Ridley's your three. You got Gunnar Helm who did a lot of damage last year.
50:32You have Tony Pollard in the back. I mean, you got to get it going.
50:36100%. You got to figure it out. I mean, if he can't...
50:40Yes, yes, yes, yes. He has the guys around him to be at least average.
50:44It won't be easy this week. I'll tell you that much.
50:47Yeah. Eagles defense isn't a great defense to get it going against.
50:50A little bit. But yeah, they got to get going because we can't...
50:53Speaking of quarterbacks just getting the ball in the hands of skill guys, get the ball to these guys.
50:58They can make plays. So let's talk about the Eagles receivers before I dive into something that I think is...
51:04I don't know. It's a name that has meant so much to us in fantasy football that I want to give it some good thought.
51:10You go for the wide receivers. Yeah, wide receivers.
51:13Yeah, kind of an underwhelming week one. Eight catches, 121 yards, and a touchdown combined.
51:17And a lot of that was one play to Dontavian Wicks.
51:20But keep in mind, this was a really good game script for the Eagles.
51:23They led for most of this game. Hurts only attempted 25 passes.
51:27And also Dallas Goddard sold two touchdowns. So that's why there wasn't much impact from them.
51:31They were staying the course on Devontae Smith. He was on the field for 20...
51:35He ran around on 25 of their 28 pass plays in the game.
51:38Dontavian Wicks was second at 24. Makai Lemon at 23.
51:41So my perception of this unit is basically the same as in the offseason.
51:45So that's pretty much the end of the analysis.
51:47It's just like it's what we thought it was going to be.
51:50Devontae Smith is still a lineup block. He's the one.
51:53Wicks and Lemon, I think, are just going to steal too much from each other.
51:57It's just not going to be enough consistent volume.
52:00I can't trust either guy in my lineup right now.
52:02I'm not a part of this conversation because this is your team.
52:05But you're allowed to speak to it. I appreciate that.
52:08I'm going to ask a dummy question. When you say a player was out there for 25 and ran a route on
52:1425 of the 28 pass plays, that means that three of the passing plays, he was just a blocker?
52:19Or he was on the sideline. On the field, yes.
52:22For a wide receiver, it usually means they're on the sideline.
52:25But some guys will block, you know. Tied Angel's day in the block.
52:28Because he could block. Got it. Okay, so he took a breather for three plays, basically.
52:32Which, I mean, if you're 25 of 28, that's around 90%.
52:35I mean, that's a great hit rate. I appreciate it.
52:38I just wanted the context. I appreciate it. Go ahead.
52:41When do we start talking about Saquon Barkley? In which way?
52:44Maybe, like, is D graduating a term? I know what you mean when you say it.
52:48Moving down? Yep. Are the days of Saquon Barkley being an off-the-charts fantasy back behind us?
52:52I think so. Okay. I think so, but I think we felt that way in draft season, right?
52:57Well, I don't know. I think I wrote exactly that.
53:00I just feel like he was clustered with a bunch of guys.
53:03I wasn't here with, you guys know my Derrick Henry optimism, but it was like he was being drafted right around.
53:08Amarion Hampton and Jeremiah Love and Ashton Gentey. All guys where it's like, they can make the big leap and be a top five running back, right?
53:16Yeah. Here's why I'm concerned about Saquon. A couple of years ago, obviously, he was off-the-charts amazing.
53:20He had over 2,000 rushing yards. He was perhaps a fantasy top five MVP.
53:24The guy was amazing, right? Every single week, he had five games with 30-plus fantasy points.
53:28I remember just a couple weeks ago being like, we haven't talked a lot about Saquon Barkley.
53:33Maybe we should a little bit more. Part of the reality two years ago that hasn't changed is that Saquon Barkley did not catch a ton of passes.
53:40It didn't matter because he was running so dang efficiently.
53:43Yep. The Eagles offensive line was so darn good.
53:45The scheme was so perfect. They win the Super Bowl that year.
53:49All those things go right. Mike, you're an Eagles fan.
53:51Are you optimistic about the offensive line right now?
53:54No. Not with Landon Dickerson. It's getting a little older.
53:56I still think it's a very good offensive line when healthy, but yeah, they've been a little beat up.
54:01There was a time where it felt like two years ago they were in a tier basically by themselves as an offensive line.
54:08Definitely. There may be a top five or eight offensive line.
54:10I'm not Mike Goldick Jr. I'm not going to sit here and try to rank all 32, but I don't think they
54:16are viewed anymore as so much better than everybody else that you could put me behind them and you get a bunch of yards.
54:23Saquon is obviously an elite talent. So the offensive line is not nearly as good.
54:27Saquon Barkley's rushing efficiency as a result goes down.
54:29Over his past six regular season games, I didn't even look at the playoff games, Saquon Barkley has a total of 11
54:35targets and three catches for 11 receiving yards. This is, you know, one third of a 17 games pace, but just for
54:41some context, that would be a full season pace of nine catches for 31 yards for Saquon Barkley.
54:46If it keeps up, it's going to be better than that.
54:49It's going to be better than nine catches for 31 yards, but he has basically been rid of his receiving duties, which
54:55is not like he was catching a hundred passes two years ago, but he was running so darn effectively and scoring so many touchdowns.
55:01It didn't matter. This Eagles offense is not as good as it was two years ago.
55:05He's still not catching passes that I don't know.
55:08I'm worried that Saquon, I don't know, in a month that we talk about him as like RB 17 as opposed to
55:14RB, like he might've been RB seven in our week one ranks.
55:17I am both worried because I agree with all of the things that you're saying field and try to figure out how
55:23to counterbalance that with what I feel like Mike is potentially also going to say, which is they have such a great
55:29schedule, at least to start the year. Yes. Yes.
55:31This will help this weekend. The title, if it doesn't happen against the Titans and that's maybe part of it.
55:36Yes, definitely. If it doesn't happen against the Titans, I will say this was a low volume game for them in some ways.
55:42The, he did have 80 yards. So it's not, I mean, again, not, you know, he didn't have a Derek Henry game
55:48or anything like that, but he did have 80 yards on.
55:51He's also on the field for 22 of their 33 called passes.
55:54It was eight for Will Shipley, three for tank big space.
55:57That's still a pretty good number. At least he was out in the field.
56:01So perhaps that'll lead to more targets, but I hear you.
56:04He's going to have to, to, to make up ground to become a top five, top seven running back.
56:09He's going to have to run at a high level.
56:12And you're right. I don't know if he gets that level anymore.
56:15And that was my thought in the off season was I think he's now down a tier or two.
56:20Like he's still going to hang in the running back one conversation.
56:23There's so much volume. There's talent there. The old line is still pretty good.
56:27The offense will be fine, but I don't know if he gets to that level.
56:31I don't think he's going to be in the conversation with Robinson Gibbs, CMC guys like that.
56:36I think those days are behind. So the first like few weeks of the season for fantasy in my mind, or not
56:42just talking about the guys that kind of come out of nowhere and have huge games, Isaiah likely goes off and is he a tight end one?
56:49But I think it's also looking at the big names that we talked about coming into the season and deciding like, if
56:55things don't go as expected, can things turn quickly to Marches, right?
56:58We expect that to turn in a major way, or is this going to be like where things are heading going forward?
57:04And like, is a Saquon Barkley or Devante Adams, usually older players, are they more vulnerable to the potential slide?
57:09So I've got Saquon ranked easily, easily inside my top 20.
57:12I'm starting him every league that I have. I'm not, I'm not suggesting otherwise.
57:16I'm just flagging it. Yeah. I need to turn around in a hurry or else the conversation has become a whole lot more serious.
57:22I'm with you. Yeah. It's different. Like, I think it's what we talked about before with like Jonathan Taylor, like being at
57:28that level, that's not Saquon Barkley's level now. Like when you're evaluating trades, you know, we're not putting him in that category anymore.
57:34So I would agree with that. Field and I are taking the Eagles, Mike, you and the producers on the Titans, which was a surprising pick here.
57:41No one's that foolish. You know, but that arrogance though, that's an upset special here, isn't it?
57:46It is. Isn't it? Oh man. This is one of our producers.
57:49Dave is a huge Titans fan. So you guys got to have a little wager.
57:53This is the perfect week for Mike to be like, so when's Cam Ward going to put it together?
57:58Huh? When's Cam Ward finally going to get good at football?
58:01Oh, this week against my Eagles, huh? Yeah. They would.
58:04That's how it tends to go. Let's talk about the Raheem Sanders Monopoly Fund, my friends.
58:08We crushed it last week. One for one. We.
58:11You crushed it. Oh, it's we're a team. We are a team.
58:14Let's be clear. If I get it right, I will not be giving you guys credit.
58:18All right. That's right. Thank you for giving me credit, but I will not be.
58:22Daniel's still being humble after going 0 for last year.
58:25That's right. I respect it. I need to earn a little bit more.
58:28Grabbing Cole Komet. I got lucky. We scored 59 points.
58:31Honestly, your pick of Kalief Raymond was also an awesome choice.
58:34Objectively speaking, that was probably the best pick. The best pick.
58:37This is a game I've lost. The Cole Komet touchdown was like a...
58:40How many times could Caleb have made that throw?
58:43If he tried that a hundred times, how many times did he do?
58:46How many times did he hit that? Caleb with that arm talent?
58:49Maybe 50. I mean, it's incredible, but I mean, it could not have been better.
58:53I mean, it was a 100% accuracy right into his hands.
58:56If it was off a little bit and maybe doesn't happen.
58:59I mean, perfect play. All right. We're going to start this week.
59:02I'm going to go with Diami Brown. Ooh, talk to me.
59:051% rostered, guys. Taking on the Dallas Cowboys. Cowboys just got embarrassed, to be honest, by the Giants.
59:10I expect the Dallas Cowboys to find that offense that they didn't have in week one.
59:14When that happens, there's going to just have to be a lot of throwing in this game.
59:19I don't think it's going to be the running back.
59:22So I'm just taking a shot at an offense.
59:24I think it's just going to have to throw the ball a lot.
59:28Yeah. And he ran clearly as the number three wide receiver last week ahead of Antonio Williams.
59:32My only concern with Brown would be, does Williams take that job after impressing?
59:36If they watch the tape and say, hey, this guy's good.
59:39He flips and they flip roles. But again, we're talking about under 1% guys.
59:42So under 0.5%. I thought about him too. We cut it in half because last week we're 1% because we hit.
59:48Now we have to pick guys under 0.5%. I forgot about that.
59:51So I got lucky with Mike. Oh, wow. Thank you for that.
59:55I forgot we did that. But a reminder that every time we're making the case for somebody in the Raheem Sanders fund,
60:00the case against is about 100 times stronger. So much stronger.
60:03I just wanted to make a point about Antonio Williams there.
60:06So I was just sliding that in there. I came so close to, and I still think it's a really good pick.
60:12Raheem Sanders this week. I thought about it too.
60:15As Raheem Sanders, probably going to be the Browns' RB too with Dylan Sampson banged up.
60:19He's going to miss some time. But my pick surprisingly had six targets in week one.
60:23Yeah. I like this one. Maybe some post-hype production for Roman Wilson.
60:26Third round pick a couple years ago out of Michigan for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
60:30There was some talk about him during the preseason.
60:32Him and Aaron Rodgers seemingly having a connection. Enough that he got six targets in week one.
60:37They play the Patriots. I mentioned the weather could be gnarly earlier, but we'll monitor that.
60:41But I'm going Roman Wilson. 0.2% rostered. Like it.
60:44I like it. Although I don't want it to work out because we need Metcalf.
60:48We need our guy Michael Pittman. We need Terry McLaurin.
60:50We need Stephon Diggs too. I know. I hear you.
60:53All right. But what we don't really need is a lot of the Patriots wide receivers because we're not going to start them.
60:59So mine's fine here. I'm going to go with Kyle Williams.
61:02All right. I want this one to happen. You know, we talked about the Patriots game earlier.
61:07This guy is fourth in line at receiver. I looked at the usage after the injury as well.
61:12I was hoping to see more Kyle Williams because he looked pretty good last year in spots.
61:16It didn't happen. It was a little more. He got a few more routes, but I would like to see more.
61:22Only 11 snaps, seven routes last week. But he's going to be fourth in line at receiver.
61:26And last year, he had three long touchdowns. He hits for the big play occasionally.
61:30Remember, this is a year two receiver. It was a third round pick last year.
61:34Tough matchup here against Pittsburgh. But again, only need one.
61:37One big play. And I think they'll dial up a play or two for him in this game.
61:42I like it. Either of you guys think about any of the Baltimore wide receivers with the depth issues we're currently having?
61:48Safe hours, no practice yesterday. And then Jacoby Lane.
61:50On IR. Probably a month. They had Chris Moran.
61:52Old friend Chris Moran. I feel like he's had 19 cups of tea in Baltimore.
61:56He was very involved last week. I don't know if they'll do that again.
62:00The Laquan Treadwell of Baltimore. Yeah. Yes. So we'll see.
62:03We'll talk about Devontae Walker. Guys like that might be involved.
62:06I like that one. All right. Let's dive into a little bit more of the mailbag here before we get out of here on a Thursday.
62:13Guys, first question that we have comes from Kenny Templeton.
62:15Are you playing Kittle? Are you going to stick with Likely?
62:18Now be careful. The logo for this person is a 49ers logo.
62:22I'm sticking with Isaiah Likely. Yeah, me too. I think so, too.
62:25Another week of Likely. I think it's totally fine to, like, you've got this really talented younger player.
62:30Like, let's see if George Kittle, like, I'd like for him to get to, I don't know, 65% of the snaps before
62:35you're calling them an every week starter. Yes. I agree.
62:38And I like the idea of being able to just keep on following what we saw from Week 1 with Likely.
62:44All right. Just in time. Lawrence or Herbert? Justin Herbert.
62:46Yeah, Herbert. Lawrence has played Denver. Jamer Gamer wants to know, in my knockout league, who's a better flex option?
62:52And Kalen Black or Tyler Algier? I'm going Kalen Black.
62:54Tyler Algier and the Seahawks. Seahawks. Kalen Black against Miami.
62:57He might have a busy second half. I agree with Field on that one.
63:01Yep. All right. Next one we have. This is another one.
63:04Destroy Nation wants to know, Baker or Patrick Mahomes?
63:06I've got Patty Mahomes. Yeah, me too. Baker Mayfield.
63:09I'm going Mahomes. I like what I saw last week.
63:11I do, too. But also, I want to say the revenge game for Baker Mayfield coming back.
63:16I kind of like that, too. Fair, fair, fair.
63:18All right. Tim wants to know, does Aaron Jones become a lineup block at RB2 over Warren and Cross Kimera in a full PPR league?
63:25There's Jordan Mason going on IR as part of this.
63:28I did fill in Aaron. I was on the fence.
63:30And usually, I guess if I'm on the fence, if a guy's a lineup block, he probably shouldn't be.
63:35But Aaron Jones in my top 20, I feel like he is.
63:39I feel like you plug him in if you got him.
63:41A little outside my top 20. I think 24 for me in my week.
63:45I lean towards 12 team leagues, too. So I think he's I think you'd be hard pressed to bench Aaron Jones in this spot.
63:52But if you told me he played 75% of the snaps this week, I would not be surprised.
63:56It's going to be like Jerome Ford and DJ Dallas.
63:59Yeah. DJ Dallas, I think it's been five years since he had more than four touches in a game.
64:04Wow. I mean, he'll have some sort of role in passing situations.
64:07But what I think they're going to do is probably Aaron Jones more in early downs and maybe Dallas in passing situations and mix Jerome Ford.
64:14And that would be my guess. But we'll see how it plays out.
64:18Love that. Also love being able to do the show with you, fellas.
64:21Thanks for hanging out with me today. Thanks for hanging out with us today and hanging out in chat for Mike and Field.
64:27Don't forget to love each other and be kind to yourself.
64:30You guys, you deserve it. We love you so much.
64:33We'll be back here on Friday to recap Thursday Night Football.
