Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection39:48

Brock Bowers is the source's pick for tight end this week after a strong performance last week; the source ranks him as the second-ranked tight end and notes he has been deployed as a wide receiver in the Las Vegas offense, where he would rank approximately between wide receiver seven or eight among all receivers.

Insight page
PositiveValue40:18

Brock Bowers is valued so highly that the source would not trade him for elite wide receivers like Justin Jefferson or CeeDee Lamb; the source would only consider trading him for wide receivers ranked approximately eighth through tenth, placing him in the elite tier of all offensive playmakers, not just tight ends.

Insight page
PositiveValue41:34

Bowers is positioned as the only tight end the source would acquire in a trade scenario, suggesting elite tier value and scarcity premium; the source indicates willingness to trade him only for top-tier receivers like Jamar Chase, Amari Cooper, or Jefferson, establishing him as a cornerstone asset.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveProjection6:00

Bryce Young is ranked as high as he has ever been in Fantasy Focus rankings this week despite a down performance against Cleveland. He leads the NFL in both passing yards and expected passing touchdowns through three weeks, indicating strong volume and goal-line opportunities. The source notes he's getting a great matchup against Detroit, which has allowed the most passing yards and fantasy points to quarterbacks (nine touchdowns already) and has given up at least 23 points to Josh Allen, Geno Smith, and Tyler Shough. However, a potential red flag is his rushing production: only three carries for 16 yards so far, which is a significant drop from his rushing volume last year.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveUsage33:56

Watson has been a strong performer to start the season with elite volume: 6th in targets, 12th in receptions, 5th in receiving yards, and 3rd in receiving touchdowns. The source notes the running game doesn't work in Green Bay, which is great for Watson's fantasy value, and he's been fantastic from a volume perspective with a condensed target tree.

Insight page
PositiveUsage36:00

Watson leads Packers receivers in volume: 6th in targets, 12th in receptions, 5th in receiving yards, 3rd in receiving touchdowns. The Packers' running game is ineffective, concentrating pass volume through Watson. With Jaden Reed likely out, Watson and Matthew Golden will handle the condensed target tree. Packers are the pass-heaviest offense in the NFL at 73% pass rate (easily #1 in league), driven by negative game script and trailing situations.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup36:27

Watson faces Tampa Bay, which has allowed 20+ fantasy points to multiple receivers (Denzel Boston, Jordan Addison). The source projects Watson as locked in at WR2 with his volume and offensive role, and expects him to remain a top-20 wide receiver as long as he stays healthy.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup54:44

Christian Watson is the only wide receiver to reach 12+ fantasy points against the Jets this season, putting up 14 points. The source uses this as context for why Luther Burden might have his hands full against the Jets defense.

Insight page

Darren Waller

PositiveValue43:41

The source ranks Darren Waller at tight end 10, which is described as an aggressive rank compared to the consensus ranking of tight end 24. This represents a significant positive deviation from market expectations, suggesting undervaluation.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup44:44

Against the Detroit Lions, who allow the most yards, most receptions, and most touchdowns per game in the NFL with poor safety play and coverage issues, Waller is positioned well in the end zone; the source considers him a solid play and hints he may not be their long-shot pick for the week.

Insight page
PositiveUsage45:10

Waller saw a big jump in targets last week with eight targets in week three when Jalen Coker was out; he's still only playing half the snaps, but the source notes that if Coker remains out this week it would definitely boost Waller's volume and role.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeRole27:06

Montgomery's value is heavily dependent on Nico Collins' health. Without Collins, the Texans offense cannot be unlocked, and the source explicitly states they don't want to play Montgomery unless Nico is available. Even with Collins, the upside is limited to getting the offense closer to the end zone, which is not material enough to prefer Montgomery over Jalen Warren.

Insight page
PositiveValue38:27

In a flex decision vs. Lad McConkey, the source prefers Montgomery and hopes he finds the end zone. McConkey faces a tough matchup against Seattle.

Insight page

Dawson Knox

PositiveMatchup43:54

Dawson Knox scored 8.5 fantasy points and a touchdown against the Lions in week two, contributing to the pattern of tight ends finding success against Detroit's defense.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

NegativeMatchup38:40

Boston is mentioned as an option in a flex decision vs. Jalen Coker and another player. Boston previously scored 20 fantasy points against Tampa Bay.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup38:59

Denzel Boston is a pivot option if Jalen Coker is unavailable (DNP/DMP), but the source expresses concern about Boston's matchup against the Steelers defense, noting it's a tough defensive unit that could result in a dud performance.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeProjection39:31

George Kittle is ranked third among tight ends in the source's Week 4 rankings.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

PositiveProjection42:23

Fannin had a terrific week three performance with 7 catches for 51 yards and 2 touchdowns on 9 targets, following a slow start (week one: 21 yards on 3 targets; week two: 5 catches for 54 yards on 6 targets). His snap participation and route rate are up significantly from last year, and target share is also improved. The source ranks him as a top-10 tight end (fringe tight end one), though his consistency depends on Deshaun Watson's play quality.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeProjection39:38

Isaiah Likely is ranked seventh among tight ends in the source's Week 4 rankings.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

NegativeInjury30:58

Coker got banged up last week and is iffy for Sunday night. The source will discuss his status further based on practice information over the next three days. If healthy, he's ranked as a top-20 option.

Insight page
PositiveValue38:40

In a flex decision vs. Denzel Boston and another option, the source prefers Coker if he's healthy. However, the Browns play Thursday, so there may be injury clarity concerns if Coker has a DNP or DMP designation.

Insight page
PositiveRole39:06

If Jalen Coker shows any practice participation Wednesday or Thursday, he should be started over Denzel Boston; the source prioritizes Coker's availability and role over Boston, who faces a tough Steelers defense.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

NegativeProjection10:00

Daniel Dopp is out on Jalen Hurts this week against the Rams. Hurts has finished outside the top 15 at quarterback in back-to-back weeks (against Titans and Bears), defenses not expected to be this strong. His rushing upside has essentially disappeared compared to last year—he has only 16 carries for 87 yards and one touchdown through three weeks, a dramatic decline from his previous rushing volume. The loss of A.J. Brown has removed another weapon and passing outlet. While the Rams have given up over 20 fantasy points to quarterbacks in two of the last three weeks, the source expects a much tougher outing. Hurts is no longer a tier-one quarterback but rather a high-end tier-two or low-end QB1, and this week he's very low-end QB1 (ranked QB11).

Insight page

Jayden Reed

NegativeInjury36:15

Reed is very doubtful to play this week and has not been officially ruled out, but the source expects him to miss the game against Tampa Bay.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveDepth Chart18:00

Jalen Warren moves up in the running back rankings to approximately RB9 this week following Rico Dowdle's injury status. Dowdle was listed as a non-participant in estimated workouts, creating an opportunity for Warren to see increased usage in the backfield.

Insight page
PositiveDepth Chart18:07

Warren moves up in rankings with Rico Dowdle ruled out (non-participant in estimated workout). The source calls Warren a fringe RB1 option for this week's Thursday night game, making him the preferred play over David Montgomery in a head-to-head flex decision.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveUsage23:44

Love was unleashed in week three after limited usage in weeks 1–2 (43% snap share), jumping to 63% snaps and 26 touches for 109 yards and a touchdown—more touches in one week than the prior two combined. He's been involved in the passing game with at least three targets in every game, and the source views this as the new norm following his high ankle sprain recovery.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup25:09

Love faces the Giants this week, who allow 5.1 yards per carry (third-highest in the NFL), marking his best matchup to date. The source projects a big opportunity: if Love gets 20+ touches again with improved efficiency and another touchdown, he'll be in the RB1 mix. He also has back-to-back favorable matchups (Giants, then Lions), though the schedule toughens after.

Insight page

Jeremy Ruckert

PositiveMatchup43:54

Jeremy Ruckert scored 14.9 fantasy points and a touchdown against the Lions in week three, contributing to the pattern of tight ends finding elite success against Detroit's defense. He was a top-10 tight end in fantasy in that week.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveValue38:00

In a flex decision vs. Terry McLaurin, the source is more optimistic on Downs than the other panelists. Downs' volume is huge, and he faces Washington, which has allowed the most fantasy points to receivers so far this season.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

NegativeProjection39:38

Jawan Johnson is ranked tenth among tight ends in the source's Week 4 rankings.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup43:54

Juwan Johnson scored 14.2 fantasy points and a touchdown against the Lions in week one, establishing the Lions as a favorable tight end matchup. He was a top-10 tight end in fantasy in that week.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

PositiveMatchup43:54

Kenyon Sadiq scored 23.5 fantasy points and a touchdown against the Lions in week three, establishing the Lions as an elite tight end matchup. He was a top-10 tight end in fantasy in that week.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveMatchup14:00

Kyler Murray faces a historic opportunity this week against Miami. The Dolphins' defense has allowed the best quarterback performance in NFL history through three weeks: opposing quarterbacks are completing 80.3% of their passes, allowing 9.1 yards per attempt (second-worst in NFL), and Miami is the only team without a single sack this year. The source frames this as a make-or-break week: 'If Kyler Murray does not get the job done this weekend, then we might be kicking him to the curb as a fantasy asset.' The Vikings (Miami's last opponent) had three straight games under 250 yards of total offense, showing how bad Miami's defense is. This is Kyler's best chance to prove himself as a fantasy starter.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

NegativeMatchup38:27

McConkey faces a tough matchup against Seattle this week, which is a reason to prefer David Montgomery in a flex decision.

Insight page
NegativeProjection55:10

The source expresses zero confidence in starting Ladd McConkey in week four against Seattle. Despite acknowledging McConkey is probably the most talented wide receiver in the 25-35 ADP range, the source notes McConkey has done nothing in recent cake matchups except for his first game three weeks ago, and that past performance doesn't help in week four.

Insight page
NegativeValue55:38

Despite the source's hesitation on McConkey for week four, the source acknowledges McConkey is probably the most talented wide receiver in the 25-35 ADP range, noting there are several really talented players in that tier including Jameson Williams.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveRole28:27

Burden was heavily utilized last week and is playing well, with a good connection to Case Keenum. The source notes he's been quietly solid despite the Chiefs' offensive struggles, and if Keenum remains the starter, Burden is the preferred flex option over Omari Hampton. His ADP came back to earth late in the offseason, making him a value pick.

Insight page
NegativeProjection54:33

Luther Burden is averaging 6.8 yards per target this season. The source notes the volume improved last week but the efficiency has not been strong, providing context for the matchup concern against the Jets.

Insight page
PositiveUsage55:12

Luther Burden received 11 targets last week, catching 7 for 61 yards and a touchdown. The source is bullish on Burden's trajectory, noting he's clearly the guy in the Bears offense with Case Keenum, and prefers him over Ladd McConkie despite the Jets defense matchup. The source emphasizes Burden's volume and efficiency gains as reasons to build confidence, contrasting his 11 targets and production with McConkie's inconsistency.

Insight page
PositiveRole55:43

The source dismisses concerns about Tyson Bajan and confirms Luther Burden is the clear lead receiver in the Bears offense with Case Keenum. Roma Dunze is ruled out, further solidifying Burden's role as the primary target.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

NegativeRole36:27

Golden will take on a larger role in the Packers' passing game with Jaden Reed likely out. He and Tucker Craft will split the secondary receiving opportunities behind Christian Watson.

Insight page

Mitchell Evans

PositiveBreakout45:40

The source hints at Mitchell Evans as a potential long-shot play for the week against Detroit, who have allowed six of nine touchdowns to tight ends through three games; Evans is positioned as a breakout candidate in a matchup where tight ends are scoring at an elevated rate.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeInjury27:06

Collins' status for this week is uncertain; the source indicates there's a question of whether he'll play this week rather than a confirmation. His presence is critical to the Texans offense, and his absence significantly impacts the value of running backs like David Montgomery.

Insight page

Noah Fant

PositiveMatchup43:54

Noah Fant scored 13.3 fantasy points and a touchdown against the Lions in week one, establishing the Lions as a favorable tight end matchup. He was a top-10 tight end in fantasy in that week.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeInjury30:58

Nakua had a big day in week four but his status is uncertain. Sean McVay has indicated there's a chance he plays this weekend, but the source says the situation doesn't pass the smell test and wants to see practice reports before making a final call.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

NegativeProjection39:38

Sam Laporta is ranked sixth among tight ends in the source's Week 4 rankings.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveMatchup38:00

McLaurin has a great matchup this week and is favored by some panelists in a flex decision vs. Josh Downs, though one panelist prefers Downs due to volume and Washington's weak pass defense.

Insight page
PositiveProjection53:59

Terry McLaurin put up 19.7 fantasy points last week against Seattle; the source notes he's been very busy despite the offense being bad, with a full-time role last week after playing only half snaps in week two. The source suggests the number one receiver can do something against this defense.

Insight page

Tetairoa McMillan

PositiveMatchup30:58

McMillan is ranked as the source's WR10 for week four against the Lions, who allow nearly 300 passing yards per game (worst over the past decade). Two receivers have already posted 26.7+ fantasy points against Detroit (Chris Olave 26.7 in week one, Garrett Wilson 26.7+ last week), making this an elite matchup. The source would have a hard time not starting McMillan even in bad weather.

Insight page

Tommy Tremble

NegativeMatchup46:08

Tommy Tremble is mentioned as a Panthers tight end option in a week where Detroit allows the most touchdowns per game in the NFL and has allowed six of nine total touchdowns to tight ends through three games.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

NegativeProjection39:31

Travis Kelce is ranked fifth among tight ends in the source's Week 4 rankings.

Insight page

Trey McBride

NegativeProjection40:00

Trey McBride is ranked as the top tight end in the source's Week 4 rankings, though the source notes there is not much additional commentary to add about him beyond his top ranking.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeRole36:27

Craft has not materialized as expected in early season. With Jaden Reed likely out, Craft and Matthew Golden will split the secondary receiving role, but Craft has underperformed relative to preseason expectations.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

NegativeProjection39:31

Tyler Warren is ranked fourth among tight ends in the source's Week 4 rankings.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

NegativeUsage32:12

Worthy's usage has faded significantly. Week one saw 6 targets (3 catches, 18 yards), week two had 7 targets (5 catches, 25 yards, 1 TD), but week three dropped to only 2 targets. The source attributes the early-season effort to get Worthy the ball to Rice's limited usage in week one, but now that Rice is ramping up, Worthy's role has diminished. He has zero career 100-yard games (excluding a Super Bowl garbage-time performance).

0:26Sorry about that, Mike. I just yell. That nice, pleasant music comes on and then you start screaming at my ear.
0:32I know. It's not my fault. You know what it reminds me of?
0:35What? You guys are well aware. I have three children.
0:38My middle child is every day the tone setter.
0:41She wakes up earliest. The problem is my middle is still in a crib.
0:44My oldest is not. Anyway, this is good. My middle, in order to let everybody know that she's awake, has to make some noise.
0:51She has a monitor in her room and I've told her, the monitor is right next to your bed.
0:56Yep. And I have the monitor feed on my phone right next to my bed.
1:00Okay. So all you gotta do when you wake up in the morning is just go, Daddy.
1:05She doesn't do that, does she feel? Instead, she pretends like no monitors exist whatsoever and our bedrooms are on opposite sides
1:11of the house, of the top floor, and she screams at the top of her lungs, waking up her big sister and oftentimes her little sister.
1:18Gosh. At least that's not till like probably 8, 8.30, right?
1:21Yeah. Yeah, sure. Right, right, right. Yeah, yeah, definitely late in the day.
1:25Yeah, like it's probably 8 or 8.30 in like the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, but more like, you know, 6 or 6.30 in the Yates household.
1:32Fields, did you have an energy bar this morning?
1:34I did. I think you have a little bit right here on your nose.
1:38Did I? Right there. There you go. Got it, baby.
1:41I also have makeup done. Thank you. No, that's all right.
1:44By my kids as well. It's not your fault.
1:46I also love, I walked into the makeup room this morning here at ESPN and the makeup artist who was helping me
1:52out was like, did you do your own makeup today?
1:55Yeah. Oh, wow. Oh, why? That's how pretty he is.
1:58Yes, that's exactly it. She's like, because there's glitter all over your face right now.
2:02Oh, that's a door. After I'm done my makeup, the other makeup artists are like, oh, come on in.
2:07We'll get, we'll take care of it. No, no, the point was my daughters are constantly doing my makeup.
2:12I am like the glitter king. We got a big, we got a big show today.
2:17I want to get to one thing that's not football, but I want to tell you what we are going to talk about on the show today.
2:24We got our week four rankings, obviously a random ranking we do at the end of the show.
2:29We've had a lot of fun being able to do that.
2:32Chat has been a blast with that. We got some face-offs that we are going to do, some fantasy face-offs as to
2:38who we would want to start this week. And a quick shout out to our friends over at Trophy Smack.
2:44Use the promo code Trophy Week 4 for 10% off your orders over at trophysmack.com.
2:48We're going to dive into rankings in a minute, but first, Field, you're playing through something right now.
2:53You came in with a big red Q next to your name.
2:56Yeah, but I don't miss shows, do I? You don't.
2:59Pretty rarely, at least. You don't. Are you going to be limited, though?
3:02Are you going to be limited today? I need to report.
3:05Don't anticipate being limited, but you guys can judge based off how my analysis goes.
3:09Okay. Yeah, the Yates kids, we will not be having more than three kids is what happened.
3:14Because that's where we're at. We're done. Yeah, we're done.
3:17Took care of something yesterday so that there will be three Yates girls.
3:20Absolutely, man. Over the next couple of months, there will be no more Yates girls going forward.
3:25When they take them out, do they put fake ones in there so that it's still...
3:29Is that how it works? Leave the fifth on that one, Daniel.
3:32All right. I actually don't know too much about it.
3:35Okay. It's a very disarming process for about 25 minutes.
3:38Yeah, look. We're all dealing with something right now, right?
3:41So I think we should do a poll and see who has the toughest recovery this week, right?
3:45Okay. Talk to me. Daniel Dopp dealing with his leg hair recovery from that pain.
3:50I think that may have hurt more than my procedure.
3:52I'm not kidding. So frustrating. Which is wild. You're, of course, dealing with your procedure.
3:56Yeah. And I'm a little tired today. Okay. Wow.
3:59I think we should see who has the toughest recovery today.
4:02I think we should do a poll in the chat and see what people think.
4:06Let's dive into our week's tour rankings. Updating projections.
4:08There's a lot of like this, like tapping the keyboard and stuff.
4:12Yes. I know. You know, that's a lot of work.
4:14Shout out to our buddy Eric Moody, who's always hanging out in chat, holding it down.
4:19Here are our top rankings at the quarterback spot.
4:21Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Tyler Shough, and Bryce Young are your top five.
4:25Six through 10 is Brock Purdy, Trevor Lawrence, Kyler Murray, Joe Burrow, and Jalen Hurts.
4:29Field G8s, I'd like to call on you. Yeah, we're going to talk about three names specifically in just a moment.
4:35But can we all agree that other than Josh Allen being the quarterback god, not a lot about quarterback has gone according to scripts so far this year.
4:43Correct. Right. The idea was, at least in my opinion, the idea was like Lamar Jackson versus Jaden Daniels versus Jalen Hurts versus Joe Burrow.
4:50Throw in a few other names right there in that top tier.
4:53Yep. They're all kind of close. And rather than arguing over whether Lamar should be ahead of Jaden Daniels or Jalen Hurts,
4:59the bigger point was like they're so close that you might see Jalen be the second drafted quarterback.
5:04You might see Lamar, but who cares, right? Instead, the answer is that it's Josh and then it's everybody else.
5:09And we've had some new names that have entered the chat.
5:12Like if I were to ask you guys just without thinking about it too much, Josh Allen is off the board.
5:18Who's the quarterback you want most rest of season?
5:20Who's your answer? Go. Probably Lamar Jackson. Yeah, Lamar Jackson.
5:23Okay. And then number two, be on Lamar? Pass.
5:26All right. I don't think that there is a definitive number three quarterback that I've seen through three weeks that I can
5:32say that's who I would want rest of season.
5:34And I'm not sure that Lamar has run away with being QB2, right?
5:38I mean, he's not QB2 in terms of scoring so far.
5:41No, it's that he's done well enough and I know the skill set that he has.
5:45The other guys that are in that conversation, have they played a little above their skis or is this like you're talking about?
5:51Is this a new group of guys to be in there?
5:54Maybe Brock Purdy? Yeah. Purdy's been amazing. Patrick Mahomes has been awesome.
5:58Like there are some names that have entered the chat.
6:00Yeah. Anyways, that's my big takeaway on quarterbacks so far is that those rankings look weird compared to where we were preseason.
6:06Yeah. You might have just get used to that.
6:09Matchups matter so much. And by the way, there was a lot of, oh man, we should have taken Allen way earlier after week two.
6:16I mean, he was QB19 in week three. So we'll see if he actually is at that level.
6:21And he may be. I mean, we projected him well ahead of all the other quarterbacks.
6:25We ranked him ahead of all of their quarterbacks as well.
6:28But the level he was at after two weeks, the thought was maybe he actually was worth the replacement cost.
6:33The premium of where you would have had to take him.
6:36We'll see. I mean, back to QB19, back to earth.
6:39He's only 13 points ahead of Brock Purdy, who you took substantially later in draft.
6:43So we'll see how that aspect of it pans out.
6:46I want to start with you, Mike, because Bryce Young is as high as he has ever been in our fantasy rankings.
6:52Coming off of a down week, unfortunately, against Cleveland.
6:54But he is getting a great matchup this week.
6:57Yeah, he is. You mentioned back to earth last week, 13.6 fantasy points, which at some points of his career, you'd be like, I'd take that.
7:04Yeah. 14 from Bryce. So had 291 passing yards in that game.
7:07He actually leads the NFL in both passing yards and expected passing touchdowns.
7:11So he's getting the passing volume. He's getting opportunities near the goal line to throw the football.
7:15That's huge. Remember, weeks one and two. I mean, I want to say a good matchup against Chicago, although they've been better lately.
7:22But either way, three passing touchdowns against him, three against Atlanta as well.
7:25If there's a little bit of a red flag here on him sustaining QB1 numbers, it's the rushing.
7:30He has three carries for 16 yards so far.
7:33Did score a rushing touchdown, which helped, but he didn't do a lot of that last year.
7:37So we'll see. Of course, to your point, why is he ranked QB3, QB5, QB3 by us this week?
7:42Daniel, avert your ears. I don't like it, guys.
7:45You're playing your Detroit Lions. They've led the most passing yards and fantasy points to quarterbacks so far as well as nine touchdowns already.
7:51They've played Josh Allen, Geno Smith, and Tyler Shuck.
7:54They have all put up at least 23 points against this defense.
7:57Bryce is in a great spot. He's playing well.
8:00Great matchup. Lots to love here. I couldn't agree more.
8:02I'm going to save too many thoughts because I have another Panther that will come up in our rankings conversation in just a little bit.
8:09Do you expect at some point your Lions defense is going to show up?
8:13Or have you just kind of succumbed to the idea that, all right, we are going to score 30 plus in almost every game.
8:20We are also going to allow 30 plus in almost every game.
8:23I think more of that one. Okay. Yeah. I mean, where are the answers?
8:27Right? Like, it doesn't sound like Kirby Joseph is anywhere close.
8:30I was going to say the answers are getting the two safeties back, Brian Branch and Kirby Joseph.
8:35And without that happening, we've got a huge hole at the number two cornerback spot.
8:39Dan Campbell won't even confirm that Kirby Joseph's going to play again this year.
8:42I know like he's stopping short of that. I know that we don't talk a lot of defense here, but we're talking about how exploitable the Lions are.
8:50And Brian Branch at some point sounds like he will be back, but a defensive back coming off of an Achilles tear
8:56isn't the same as Brian Branch at his peak.
8:59So this is why the Detroit Lions honestly are the most fantasy friendly team in all of football because their offense scores so many points.
9:05They have so many superstars and their defense is so bad that it allows the other team's offense to score so many points.
9:12And then it's just a shootout, a barrage of passing back and forth.
9:15Like they are the most fantasy friendly team in the offense, just like team in the NFL.
9:20I feel like the only way that one of their games does not go this way is if, and they play obviously in a dome.
9:27So this, and they play in a division with another dome team.
9:30Maybe they'll play a monsoon game or something soon.
9:32Whether? Yeah. Like other than that, I can't imagine a Lions game not being extremely high school.
9:37Yeah. I agree. They're similar to Dallas last year.
9:40You have to wonder with their light schedule and their good offense and their window open, there's plenty of opportunity in the NBA and the NFC.
9:47I wonder if they're like Dallas at the trade deadline and try to make some defensive acquisitions.
9:51They might have to, because if they're like, Hey, we have a shot this year with this slate, we can potentially win the conference.
9:58They need the Raiders to start losing a lot of games because Max Crosby.
10:02Crosby. Yeah. Boom. We're aligned on Bryce Young. Who's your pick for quarterback, Daniel?
10:05I'm out on Jalen Hurts this week, my friends.
10:08Jalen Hurts has been really difficult. We're picking on each other here.
10:11Yeah, a little bit. And this isn't about you, Michael, but back-to-back weeks, finishing outside the top 15 at quarterback, guys.
10:17Checking the Charlotte weather. And that was against the Titans and the Bears.
10:20Those aren't like defenses that we thought was going to make him be this far down the line.
10:25His rushing upside just is not the same as it was last year.
10:29That has basically disappeared. The loss of A.J. Brown, even though he has a true wide receiver one in Devontae Smith, I think the loss of A.J.
10:36Brown is just another weapon that hasn't given him a passing outlet, even though we've seen a little bit over here.
10:42And the Rams, this is just a tough defense.
10:44Regardless of what they have done, they have given up over 20 fantasy points to quarterbacks in two of the last three weeks.
10:51But I'm just expecting a much tougher outing for Jalen Hurts in this one.
10:55He's not the guy that we thought he was coming into the season.
10:58Similar to that Saquon Barkley conversation, I don't really think he's a tier one guy right now.
11:03I think he's more like a high-end tier two quarterback.
11:06Still a low-end QB1, but this week he's very low-end QB1.
11:09Yeah, he's close. I mean, he has 16 carries, 87 yards, and one touchdown on the ground.
11:13That was like Josh Allen's week two. Yeah, pretty much.
11:16I mean, I think he had 16 carries in week two.
11:19Yeah, I mean, look. The offense struggled last year.
11:21His rushing was rolled back from about 150 carries to about 105 last year, and he was QB8 in fantasy points per game.
11:28Now the offense doesn't look much better. Maybe week one, but not since then.
11:31And he's running perhaps even less. And they lost one of the best weapons.
11:35He might not be at QB1 much longer. Yeah.
11:38He might be like Mariota or Kyler Murray level at this point.
11:41So they have to get it going. They have to figure out how to move.
11:45The schedule is easy, much like Detroit's going forward.
11:48That helps for sure. But the offense needs to be more efficient, and he has to add a little bit more with his life.
11:54Do you guys know where you have him ranked this week against the Rams?
11:58Quarterback 11 for me. You have him 11? I am 11 as well.
12:0111, yeah. Okay. By the way, I think that week one might actually be painting like a slightly rosier picture for where
12:07Jalen Hurst is at right now compared to where it was.
12:10That game against Washington, he had one passing touchdown until the fourth quarter.
12:14He got two in the – and those count, obviously, right?
12:17But like it was a slog for three quarters there.
12:20Week two, they win a game against Tennessee that was far closer than we anticipated.
12:24And this past week, he lays an egg. He does have a rushing touchdown against the Bears, but otherwise an unforgettable night.
12:30The entire Eagles offense has my concerns. Yeah. Right?
12:32I mean, ultimately, they have taken clubs out of the bag of both Jalen Hurst and Saquon Barkley to be elite fantasy weapons.
12:39Yeah. They can coexist together, but the truth is that Saquon in a different offense, not playing with Jalen Hurst, is probably a more valuable player.
12:46I don't think that Jalen, his value is determined by Saquon's presence one way or the other, but Saquon – Jalen not
12:52being able to run nearly as much. And that could be an age thing, right?
12:56He's getting – not old, but he is, you know, he's what, eight years into his career now?
13:01Like at some point, you have to be mindful of the wear and tear, even of the most durable, steady quarterbacks, like
13:07Jalen Hurst is an absolute freight train. But yeah, we may have seen the sun set on Jalen Hurst being a top three to four fantasy quarterback.
13:14Yeah. He's an amazing real-life quarterback. Yes. But a fantasy quarterback might be a different conversation.
13:18The push-push really elevated him for a while, and that's not where it's at now.
13:23But if you remember in history, like that's just not going to be the Jalen Hurst.
13:27By the way, your golf metaphor game is on point.
13:30Thank you. I was waiting for my opportunity. We've been making a lot of different sport references.
13:34I like that one. Thank you. Gloves out of the bag.
13:37That's like a pretty common golf metaphor. Yeah. Mike and I, that's not – I mean – That was a good one.
13:43You're basically the Tiger Woods of ESPN. I'm surprised you haven't heard it.
13:47I couldn't wait to pounce on that, but he just kept talking.
13:50Come on, man. My quarterback pick is a name that Mike – Oh, go ahead.
13:54Why don't you talk some more, Phil? Yeah, just mentioned.
13:57Sorry. Wait, do you have more to say? No, no, no.
14:00Okay. No, no, no. It was just because of Mike.
14:03You mentioned his name, Mike? Kyler Murray. I think this is one of the – second straight week I brought him up as a topic.
14:09Last week it was like, can we resurrect Kyler Murray as a fantasy starter?
14:13The Bucs – Vikings, excuse me, who played the Bucs last week – have three straight games under 250 yards of total offense.
14:20If Kyler Murray does not get the job done this weekend, then we might be kicking him to the curb as a
14:26fantasy asset, much less an elite fantasy quarterback. The reason, of course, is they play the Miami Dolphins.
14:31Miami actually, if you look at some of the fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks, passing yards to quarterbacks, not terrible.
14:36It's just that teams don't really need to throw the football that much against Miami.
14:40But check this out. When they do, the Dolphins defensively have accounted for a total of zero sacks, the only team in
14:46the NFL without a single sack this year. Quarterbacks have plenty of time.
14:50What does time generally lead to? Better accuracy. Opposing quarterbacks are completing 80.3% of their passes against the Dolphins' defense right now.
14:56They are the best quarterback in NFL history when facing off against this Dolphins' defense through three weeks.
15:01They are allowing, the Dolphins are, 9.1 yards per attempt so far.
15:04That is second worst in the NFL. Only the Cardinals are worse.
15:07Miami's defense is so bad and so generous. How bad are they field?
15:11I mean, they make teams. They make opposing quarterbacks.
15:13Basically, they're bad. No, that was a joke. Oh.
15:16You were like, they're so bad. And I was like, how bad are they field?
15:20So bad. Oh, okay. I don't know. I landed flat.
15:22So bad that I... It's like a Yo Mama joke, guys.
15:25Oh, oh, oh. Oh, oh. But we don't have a good metaphor.
15:29And then I don't realize your thought. He's a metaphor guy today.
15:32Yeah, metaphor guy. That's my bad, guys. The clubs in the bag of the Dolphins' defense.
15:36There are none of them. The defense is terrible.
15:39Kyler Murray, if not now, never, right? So if Kyler can't perform at a high level this week, then we can just
15:45kiss the Kyler Murray as a quarterback starter experiment goodbye.
15:47Agreed. And we'll pivot to other names that were drafted outside the top 10 as either streaming options or guys that could
15:53fill your roster spot for four to six weeks.
15:56I have some Kyler thoughts, but I'm going to save them for a little later in the show when Mike and I
16:02maybe go back and forth a little bit. We do have a couple of questions, though.
16:06Before we move on from our chat about the quarterback position this week, and our first question we have from our YouTube
16:12chat comes from the wonderful Christina Buswell. Hey! How are you?
16:15Can I start Geno Smith over Drake? Drake May.
16:18May continues to burn me, but can I really trust Geno?
16:21By the way, this is against you. Yeah, here's the thing.
16:24She's playing me in the show league this week, guys, so I think she should play Drake May.
16:29What about you? You have Geno over May. I would play Geno over Drake May.
16:33Geno against Chicago. It's close. I've got Drake May.
16:35Honestly, it's so close. I don't know who I have ranked ahead.
16:39How close does it feel? So close. Still not Dinland.
16:41All right, I'm not going to do it again, guys.
16:44I'm completely flummoxed. I don't know. I do a May ahead by a little bit.
16:48Do you? There we go. David Lichlund. I've got May ahead of Geno Smith, so my answer is Drake.
16:53I don't feel great about either, but this is what it is.
16:57Prescott or Bryce Young this week, guys? Oh, come on.
16:59Bryce Young. We just talked about it. This one's not even close.
17:03Gotta go Bryce Young. It's just the matchup. Mr.
17:05ANC Mariota or Kyler Murray, guys? Man, it's crazy, because who do you have more confidence in playing well this weekend?
17:11Marcus Mariota. And who do you have more confidence in the matchup in this week?
17:15Kyler Murray. But it's close. It's really that simple.
17:17It's not like the Colts are any good defensively.
17:20Yeah. Yeah, I'm going to go to this overseas, too.
17:22I've got Kyler Murray ranked ahead of him. Me, too.
17:25I do, too. I'll take Kyler. I got him at six.
17:28Strong communities are built in the places where life happens, where families build their lives, where students build their futures, where businesses create opportunity.
17:35Bloom Energy provides reliable power for the places communities depend on every day, from hospitals and college campuses to stores and factories.
17:41Clean, quiet power that uses little water right where it's needed, so communities can keep moving forward.
17:45Bloom Energy, power America relies on. All right. Let's talk about some running backs, my friends.
17:50Running backs here in week four. The top 20 starts with Jameer Gibbs, Bajon Robinson, Ken Walker III, Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry,
17:56CMC, Ashton Gentry, and James Cook, as well as Chase Brown, Chuba Hubbard, Jeremiah Love, Bucky Irving, Aaron Jones taking on Miami,
18:02Saquon Barkley, Cam Scadaboo rounds out the top 15, Javante Williams, Jalen Warren, Kyron Williams, DeAndre Swift, and David Montgomery.
18:07That's top 20. Are we talking about Warren here?
18:10No. If you didn't do it, I was going to.
18:12I just pulled out Rico Dowdle this morning, so Warren moves up to, I believe, if I'm at nine.
18:18Yeah, Rico Dowdle was a non-participant in their estimated workout yesterday.
18:21Yep. He was out there with his teammates, but was estimated as a non-participant.
18:24I don't think any of us are talking about him, but we will talk about it tomorrow.
18:29Thursday night preview. Yep. I just want to say really quickly, I want to talk about Jameer Gibbs.
18:34Is there a way we can throw that panel back up on the screen?
18:38Can we see really quickly, like just the top running backs again so that we can see what Jameer Gibbs' projection is?
18:44His projection is 26.18. Yeah, too low probably based on what we've seen.
18:47Bajon Robinson's is 21.5, almost a full five points lower.
18:50Wow. He is averaging, Jameer Gibbs, 32.8 fantasy points per game.
18:53He leads the NFL with 27.6 touches per game on an offense that's scoring 30 points every single game.
18:5826.18 is a massive number, and also it might not be high enough.
19:02Mike, honestly, with the way that they are utilizing him, this guy really is getting the ball almost 30 times a game.
19:08Yeah. You asked Mike yesterday if he had any, like, historical data points about this projection, and you said you didn't know for sure.
19:14I don't recall exactly, but I think, like, It's very high.
19:17Peak Christian McCaffrey was probably in, was certainly in this vicinity some weeks when the matchup was really good.
19:2327, 28 points. Yeah, Gibbs is on a heater right now to open the season with three top three finishes.
19:28He already is 19 points ahead of Ken Walker.
19:30Think about how good Ken Walker's been so far.
19:33Score multiple touchdowns pretty much every game so far, if not every game, and he has a 19 point edge on him.
19:39I mean, he's just crushing the competition right now.
19:41And a couple things, again, we don't have to belabor Jameer Gibbs analysis for too long, but he has a couple of
19:47really important things going for him, is maybe three actually.
19:50The defense is so bad, they're going to have to score points every single game.
19:54We talked about that just a moment ago. On top of that, there's nobody, I mean, nobody behind him.
19:59Sione Vocky and Jacob Saylor's, like, there's no threat to Jameer Gibbs, and Isaiah Pacheco, that could be a while, right?
20:05On top of that, this is a pressure cooker year for Dan Campbell.
20:09And ultimately, I think the coaching staff understands, in a different, I'm trying to think of like a coach, like maybe, maybe
20:15we've seen a little bit of this with Kyle Shanahan.
20:17He signed that extension, like just before the season started.
20:20He's not going anywhere, right? So, they aren't going to fail.
20:23They're already three and oh, they look like a very good team.
20:26But Kyle can play the long game a little bit more with a player like Christian McCaffrey, that I feel like this
20:32Lions staff, like maybe is saying to themselves, a couple of years ago, we're not just the toast of the NFC North,
20:38but like we're the team that has a chance to control the conference for the next three years.
20:43Feels a little bit different right now. They got to win this year.
20:47They got to win meaningfully, and it ain't going to be because of their defense.
20:51So Jameer, not going anywhere. Five catches, six catches, seven catches in his three games this year.
20:56Like he's just unbelievable. And he's the goal line back.
20:58Like he's awesome. I just wanted to point out 26, 26 points for projection.
21:02It's just huge. That's a massive number here, right?
21:05What about Ashton Gentry, Field Jates? Yeah. So the question that I have with Ashton Gentry is whether, because when you looked
21:11at those projections, six players, north of 20 fantasy points, which is a monster number.
21:15Seventh with Ashton Gentry, and he was at 18 plus fantasy points.
21:18The question I have for Gentry going forward is whether he has a chance to jump into that elite RB1 group, or
21:24if he's going to settle into more of like a solid RB2.
21:27After week one. Solid RB2? Yeah. You're thinking RB2.
21:30I mean, maybe let's talk about this. Okay. He was obviously incredible in week one when they played the husk of the Miami Dolphins defense, right?
21:37Yep. You have to be encouraged by the utilization.
21:39He's six in the NFL and carries incredibly encouraged by the passing game utilization.
21:43Everything is good on paper, right? You look at the number of opportunities he's getting, you look at the way they're using him, they're designing things for him.
21:51It's all awesome. One of my concerns coming into the season that I mentioned a few times was like, yeah, the offensive
21:57line is better, but how much better is it with Tyler Linderbaum as like the most meaningful outside contribution?
22:02They drafted Trey Zune in the fourth round, but it wasn't like they added four new starters along the offensive line.
22:08Right. Over the past two games playing, not the Miami Dolphins, Ashton Gentry has averaged 2.3 and 2.9 yards per carry.
22:13Now the chargers suck, but their defense, I think is pretty good.
22:17The saints, I don't think are some, you know, dominant defense that you're like under three yards per carry against New Orleans Saints.
22:23Yeah. That's what you expect. Like you don't expect that.
22:26So my question is if Ashton Gentry can't get that rushing utilization or that rushing efficiency up, he's 33rd in the NFL in yards per carry right now.
22:33Maybe he settles in to more like RB 12 as opposed to RB six or seven.
22:38Yeah. Interesting. And in, in this scenario where they're thinking, okay, the rushing efficiency isn't there.
22:42The adjustment here isn't to take him away from passing situations.
22:45Cause Mike Washington jr. His game is, you know, he's obviously a height, weight, speed, like superstar athlete.
22:50Yeah. They're going to use him as a runner.
22:52Like that's his game. He's not much of a pass catcher.
22:55So the adjustment would be fewer carries still should be involved in the passing.
22:59And be right. He could settle in as the role is elite.
23:03Yeah. The role is elite. Yeah. But the schedule coming up so far, definitely has all of our attention.
23:08Keep in mind that the Raiders three, you know, they deserve all the flowers they are getting right now.
23:13The next eight weeks are going to be a bit of a reality check, including the next four games chiefs this weekend.
23:19That's very tough. The Patriots, the book is still out on the Patriots.
23:23Not good so far. They are good run defense though.
23:25The bills and the Rams. So I got my eyes sort of glued on this one here for Ashton.
23:30It's going to be interesting. He only had three targets this last week with Brock Bowers back.
23:35He had a little bit more receiving game work the first two weeks without him, but I think it's still enough.
23:41But the passing game utilization is so good this year.
23:44It's three for 37. So these are like legit schemed up.
23:47Let's get him in space versus last year where it was like, Gino's about to get sacked.
23:51Let's, you know, flip the ball to Ashton for a negative one yard catch.
23:55Do you guys feel like, and this is not, maybe not a, once Fernando Mendoza potentially takes over, like quarterbacks all play differently.
24:01They all target differently. They all have their own safety valves.
24:04Like, are we going to be talking about how this defense, this offense might look different under Fernando Mendoza than it is
24:10under Kirk cousins with their, the way that we utilize the running back in this backfield.
24:15They want to be more aggressive at the very least.
24:17I don't think it'll change that. Agreed. I think they want to run the offense through.
24:22Yeah. In his hands. As much as possible with you.
24:24All right. What about Jeremiah? My love. Yes. Speaking of a guy who we need a little more efficiency out of it started great last week.
24:32He was averaging about five and a half, six yards per carry for most of that game.
24:36I kind of fell off late in that game, but the big news was just, they turned the backfield over to him
24:42in week three after limiting him the first two games, which is again, something we saw coming considering how much of the off season that he missed.
24:50But you look at the comps here very quickly weeks one and two, he played 43% of the snaps that went up
24:56to 63% week three weeks, one and two. He told 95 yards and one touchdown and 25 touches last week alone, 109
25:02yards and a touchdown on 26 touches. So he had more in week three in terms of touches than he did in weeks one and two combined.
25:09He also has been plenty involved in the passing game.
25:12He has at least three targets in every game so far this season.
25:15And here's the thing. This is going to be his best matchup so far.
25:19There's a big opportunity here. They're playing the giants are like 5.1 yards per carry to back so far this season.
25:25That's third highest. I've talked about how their schedule is pretty tough during the regular season and very easy during the fantasy
25:31playoffs, which is something that was very intriguing to me.
25:34But this is one of those good matchup. So big opportunity here for love.
25:37We got the volume last week. If he gets 20 touches again and the efficiency is better and he scores a touchdown again.
25:44I mean, he's going to be right in that RB one mix every week giants this week.
25:48Lions next week. Yeah. Back-to-back good ones. And then it gets tougher again.
25:52So this is a big window here for Jeremiah love.
25:55Yeah. The lions obviously are a bigger question defending the past, but they haven't been a whole lot better defending the run so far this season.
26:02Yeah. This would be great. And I really, really hope that the first two weeks of the Cardinals playing at Tyler Algier
26:08as much as they did was not stubbornness, but was truly just, Hey, the guy's coming off of a high ankle sprain.
26:14Like that's it. It had to be being smart, right?
26:16I hope it was. Yeah. I've not put anything past NFL coaches running back.
26:20So that's the hope. And the hope is that what we saw on Sunday with all due respect to Tyler Algier is the new norm going forward.
26:28I love it though. Be smart with your young new asset.
26:31That's amazing. Let's take a couple of questions before we dive into wide receivers from our mailbag running back questions this week.
26:37Zachary wants to know Montgomery with Nico Collins, healthy or Warren with no Rico.
26:40Yeah. Mike just mentioned right now we'd say Rico is if he at the very best for Thursday night.
26:46So definitely Jalen Warren. Also, is there any indication that Nico Collins is playing this week?
26:50I don't think so. I think that's more a question of if he plays this week.
26:54I think there is a big without Nico Collins, that offense isn't doing anything.
26:58I don't really want to play David Montgomery unless Nico can be a part of it because that offense can't be unlocked without Nico.
27:05I'm going to go with Jalen Warren. I'm with you on that one.
27:08Nico doesn't really affect my Montgomery evaluation anyway. Maybe it improves the offense a little bit.
27:13Probably the idea is the offense gets closer to the end zone.
27:16Yeah. That's about it. But not enough. Not super material.
27:19But yes, Warren is, I'd say a fringe Harvey one.
27:21So he's, he's the guy here. Love that. All right.
27:24Another question here from our YouTube chat. Derek Bruce wants to know Hampton or burden in the flex.
27:29Omari and Hampton. You want this one, Daniel? Or Luther burden.
27:32Well, I loved Omari and Hampton coming into the season.
27:35Mike loved Luther burden coming into the season. I wouldn't go that far.
27:38I mean, I did like him the final few weeks of the off season when his ADP came back to earth.
27:44You hated Luther burden. I did until the last few weeks of the off season when his ADP came back to earth.
27:50I would go. I drafted him a couple of times late.
27:53My answers are morning. I would probably still go with the running back.
27:57That's going to touch the ball a bunch. Not me.
27:59Okay. You know the burden. Heavily utilized last week.
28:02Playing well. I mean, he's quietly been okay so far.
28:04It just seems like it's been a disaster there, but the premier pass catchers, he's been fine and had a good game last week.
28:11Good connection with Case Keenum. What? But Hampton, I'm very concerned about.
28:14We'll talk more about that. Case Keenum doesn't start this week.
28:17Yeah. What do you guys think? Do you think they?
28:20They've been talking about Tyson Bajan being the guy.
28:23Yeah. It would have Ben Johnson say he's like Bajan won the number two job over him.
28:27So there's a reason for that. I'm going to guess based off what happened on Monday night, the Case Keenum's going to
28:33be the guy until he falls flat on his face or Kelly Williams returns.
28:37If Case Keenum is the guy, it does put more stock in the Luther burden basket for me.
28:42If it's Tyson Bajan, I would definitely go more.
28:44I don't know. I just don't have the same trust.
28:47Ben Johnson is telling us that Bajan is better than Case Keenum.
28:50So in theory, Johnson's offense also put up three points in week two.
28:54So, well, they also just crushed the Eagles defense and they put up.
28:57You're right. Points in week one or whatever it was.
29:00I don't know. That was, that was the line.
29:03So that's the, yeah, it's a little bit of bitterness.
29:05All right, let's dive into the wide receivers. Wide receivers here in week four.
29:09JSN, Jamar Chase, Amonra St. Brown, Puka Nakua. He's good.
29:12Chris Olave, Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, Drake London, just superstars, man.
29:15Garrett Wilson, Zay Flowers, Nico Collins, if he plays, Parker Washington, Devontae Smith, Tedaroa McMillan, Rashi Rice, Devontae Adams, that is a
29:21top 16 with Christian Watson, George Pickens, Tee Higgins, and Jalen Coker rounding out the top 20 guys.
29:26Big, big day for Puka Nakua today, by the way.
29:29We'll see whether he does practice for the Rams.
29:31I would say this, the reporting has indicated that Sean McVay has flat out said, this sounds like there's a chance of play this weekend.
29:38Something about that situation is not passing the smell test for me.
29:41Yep. I'm with you on that. We'll figure out.
29:44We'll have a better picture of that after practice today.
29:46I want to ask you about Tedaroa McMillan last week.
29:49Jalen Coker kind of got banged up. He did.
29:52Dealing with some stuff. Are you feeling about both Tedaroa?
29:54I guess you could put both of them in there.
29:57If you want to, Tedaroa and Jalen. Yeah. We'll keep an eye on Jalen Coker status.
30:01Sounds like he's probably iffy for Sunday night, but we will discuss that further based off practice information for the next three days.
30:08Have you guys heard this? Alliance really struggled defensively.
30:10Thanks, Phil. Do you know how many passing yards per game they're currently allowing?
30:14No, I don't. 700. Okay. Okay. Close. Over 299.
30:16Oof. That's basically 700. It's the worst. If it holds up, it's the worst over the past decade.
30:21I mean, it's, it's rare to see teams allow over 275 and they're at nearly 300 passing yards per game.
30:27Sample size is small. Obviously a lot of football to go, but not a lot of reasons for optimism as we discussed earlier on.
30:33I have won a Superbowl that have allowed almost 300 passing yards a game.
30:37I guess zero. That's not good for my future then.
30:40I'm going to guess that. Yeah. It worked. Is there an answer?
30:43They already benched a corner. Maybe that'll be better.
30:46Maybe that'll help. Maybe that'll help. We brought you seen bench.
30:49Yeah. Who could have seen that coming? It's like the Packers offensive line in the Lions cornerback room.
30:53You could have seen those. At least the Packers though, are just signing all available offensive linemen on free.
30:59Amazing overhaul. Anyways, two wide receivers have already put up 26.7 or more fantasy points against this Lions team.
31:04That was Chris Olave in week one, Garrett Wilson last week.
31:07It's kind of funny how Josh Allen put up over 40 against the Bills, and there was no wide receiver at even 12 fantasy points.
31:14Dalton Kincaid had a big day. Yes. Josh Allen had a big day himself.
31:17It was kind of a sort of divvy it up.
31:20That was a game that DJ Moore got hurt.
31:23So wide receivers can have themselves. Yeah. Sorry. Can have until today against the Lions.
31:27So on Sunday night, I told you guys, I'm checking to see whether the Lions will ever play in a bad weather day.
31:33I went and opened up the app. Charlotte, Saturday and Sunday is supposed to get a lot of rain.
31:38It's supposed to stop before kickoff. So it looks like by the time kickoff is around, rain will be no issue.
31:44Good. Which even if rain were prevalent for the game, I still would have a hard time not starting Ted O'Rowell-McMillan against Daniels Lions.
31:51He's my wide receiver 10 this week, which is exactly where Daniel is and five spots ahead of him.
31:56Yeah, I'm a hair lower, but a lot of names in that vicinity.
31:59And Jalen Coker, if he is healthy, we have him as a top 20 option.
32:03He'd be in the light of the world. All the things that you had talked about.
32:08Bryson Tremaine, flag that name as a possible Raheem Sanders pick for this week.
32:12Like it. Mike, where are you going with this one?
32:14I'm going with Rushy Rice. Going the right direction.
32:17You know, he just had to get me burned from the knockout league in week one.
32:21And then he started playing football. He tried though.
32:24He did score that one touchdown on one of his two targets in week one.
32:28But guys, he's another guy who missed a lot of time in the off season.
32:32Who's trending up over the first few weeks of the season.
32:35It seemed like there was intent there to not really use him a lot.
32:39He was on the field a lot, but not target him the first couple of games.
32:43It was just like, why is he not the first read at all?
32:46That was especially the case in week one. Still found the end zone.
32:50Week two ramped up to four for 83 on six targets.
32:53But last week, finally, even in a very low volume game, seven for 88 on nine targets.
32:58He had a 39% target share against the dolphins.
33:00Career high usage this year and snaps at 79% and route participation.
33:0375%. He's been around a while on a per game basis.
33:06He's never hit numbers like that. So that's a good step forward for, um, Rashi rice at they're playing the Raiders.
33:12I will say this. They've allowed the third fewest fantasy points to receivers.
33:16It's a little bit of a trap. They haven't allowed a touchdown to a receiver yet.
33:20They have a lot of five passing touchdowns. It just happened to, they haven't happened to go to a receiver.
33:26That'll correct itself going forward. And even without a score, Chris Olave, 19.7 points against them last week.
33:30Caleb Douglas at 14.4 against him. So number ones have, uh, had decent success even without finding the end zone.
33:36So feeling really good about Rashi rice, not going to get them into the wide receiver one mix just yet.
33:41I want to see it another week, but he is at least a very good wide receiver too at this point.
33:47And you know, it doesn't seem like it's happening.
33:50Xavier worthy. Ever. Yeah. My gosh. Yeah. They, he looked, he looked good week one.
33:54And, but I, again, I think that was just a factor of like, we're not using rice yet.
33:59And now it's kind of faded away a little bit.
34:01What was the line in week one? I still, you know, I feel like it's, I only have a little bit of his line in week one.
34:09Yeah. For Xavier worthy. He was featured. I think he saw a lot of targets, right?
34:13They were, they seem to be trying to utilize him a lot.
34:16Six targets, three catches for 18 yards. Yeah. So then it wasn't like production wasn't there, but the effort to get him,
34:22the football was there next week, seven targets, five catches, 25 yards and a touchdown.
34:26Yeah. I mean, then only two targets. I was watching rice very closely in that week, one game because I had, I
34:32was in jeopardy of losing a knockout. Right. So in the past, Rasheed rice and run them quick slants and stuff.
34:38They would do everything they can to get him the football.
34:41They were doing that with worthy out of the gate in that game.
34:45They weren't doing it with right. So interesting. That was, that was the notable change.
34:49But again, that changed last week and that's a good sign going forward.
34:52Do you guys, when you're talking about a player and his career, if a player does something in the, in the, in
34:58the playoffs, you count that when like, remember last year with, Hey, Matthew golden did not score a single touchdown.
35:04It was a playoff game. Xavier worthy. When, when, when appropriate.
35:07Yes. Xavier worthy has zero career, a hundred yard games.
35:10Unless you count the super bowl. When he, in garbage time.
35:13That's crazy. In garbage time. I was, in the bleachers at that point.
35:16I mean, that was, it was over. I mean, I was like, good, good.
35:201.5. Savvy bees. Literally more than that. More than that.
35:23That was a, that was a tricky one. Cause I was enjoying that, but I also, I had the, I was, I
35:29had the sore throat cause I was getting the flu or not the flu.
35:32I was getting like, whatever, uh, an illness, a cold or some sort.
35:36So, you know, it's often starts with the sore throat.
35:39And I had that during that game. Uh, so I was, yeah, terrible.
35:42You were like, you know what? Honestly, like you're sitting there talking to your girlfriend.
35:46You're like, maybe we just don't go to the game.
35:49Yeah. You know, Superbowl, right? Like maybe they'll play in the hall of fame game next year.
35:54We can go to that instead. No way. No way.
35:56That was, uh, I was battling through that. It was, that was amazing.
36:00But yeah, I remember, uh, worthy scoring right in front of us twice in the late in that game, but, um, didn't matter at that point.
36:07The game was way over with. Why don't you get a shout out to a little shout out to you, field Jates.
36:13Oh, Christian Watson's been your guy to start the season.
36:16He's been really good for what it's worth. Rushing it.
36:19Great volume. Great, great volume. Wide receiver, six in targets, 12th and receptions, fifth and receiving yards, third and receiving touchdowns.
36:24The running game doesn't work in green Bay, which is great.
36:27If you have a Christian Watson guy on your roster, he's been fantastic from that perspective.
36:32It seems like it's going to be another condensed target tree.
36:35I'm assuming hasn't officially been ruled out, but we're very doubtful to see Jaden read this week.
36:39So it should be Matthew golden and Tucker craft.
36:42Tucker craft. Hasn't really materialized the way that we were thinking he may at the earlier parts of the season.
36:47So it's really just him and Matthew golden. They're taken on Tampa Bay.
36:51Tampa Bay just allowed 20 fantasy points to Denzel Boston, 20 fantasy points to Jordan Addison.
36:55The only team they haven't allowed 20 fantasy points to a wide receiver too, is actually the Cincinnati Bengals with two months.
37:01But, um, I think right now, Christian Watson locked in as a wide receiver too, with that volume and the way that that offense is playing.
37:08He is the guy that everything is running through.
37:11I know we've said this a million times about him.
37:13Just got to stay healthy. And if he does, he'll probably be as long as he's top 20 for wider.
37:19By the way, Packers pass heaviest offense in the NFL.
37:22That's a little bit of, it's actually a lot of bit of game script.
37:25They, to your, I remember you talking about this.
37:28I was a little more hesitant on it based on Matt Lofler's track record, but they're calling the pass heaviest offense in
37:34the NFL and their game scripts have been very beneficial for the past because they've been trailing.
37:39They've had to throw a lot. So they've called past 73% of the time.
37:42That's easily number one in the league. It'll come down, but for now, as long as Josh Jacobs is out, it might not come down by a lot.
37:50Yeah. Kind of a mess. Let's go to our tight ends to wrap things up here.
37:54We're going to do a couple of questions for us really quickly.
37:58I lied. Wide receivers from our YouTube chat. Shout out to red alert.
38:01206 wants to know half point PPR. Josh downs or scary Terry in the flex.
38:05Gary Terry. For sure. Great matchup. Scary Terry. Scary Terry.
38:08Uh, they're both is not his nickname. Uh, I'm on, I'm on downs.
38:12I have them very close, but I'm more optimistic than you guys on Josh down.
38:16Just the volume is huge. And then remember they're playing Washington.
38:19They've allowed the most fantasy points to receiver so far.
38:21All right. Great spot. Great goalie wants to know David Montgomery or lad McConkie in the Montgomery for me.
38:27Lad tough matchup against Seattle. I don't love Seattle.
38:29That's a tough call. I'll lean towards Montgomery and hope he finds the end zone.
38:33That's what I'm doing too. Open Monty falls into the painted area.
38:36Last one here. Hoodie Squanch wants to know cooker or a coker or Boston.
38:40I'd be Jalen Coker. If he's healthy. Yeah. Coker.
38:43If he's healthy, obviously you have to pivot off of him.
38:46If he's not going to play, but that we agreed that one Sunday night.
38:50So that might be a tricky one. I think we'll have clarity.
38:53I hope. Oh, I'm sorry. Cause the Browns play Thursday.
38:56Oh, right. Yeah. Yeah. So even think about that part of it.
38:59If there's a legitimate question mark, if we go DMP, DNP for Jalen Coker, you play Denzel Boston.
39:04I think so. If we go, if there's any practice from Jalen Coker Wednesday or Thursday, I'm going Jalen Coker.
39:09Yeah. And keep an eye. I mean, if you could find a similar option, I mean, yeah, yeah, you could.
39:15Darren Waller. That's what I mean. Maybe you could find another option too.
39:18Cause remember Boston is going up against the Steelers.
39:21I mean, that's a tough defense. So definitely. You're definitely a chance of a dud there.
39:25That makes me a little nervous. Let's dive into some tight ends.
39:28Let's do it. Speaking of which. Top 10 tight ends.
39:31Trey McBride, Brock Bowers, George Kittle, Tyler Warren, Travis Kelsey.
39:34That is the top five, six through 10. Sam Laporta famously played college ball for the Atlanta Hawkeyes.
39:39Isaiah likely Dalton Cade, Harold Fainer Jr. And Jawan Johnson.
39:41You say the Atlanta Hawkeyes. Oh, you know, you got to read the news.
39:45Don't Mike. Just let's, let's just keep moving on guys.
39:48Let's talk about Brock Bowers. He looked great last week.
39:51That's my pick for tight end this week. Give it to me field.
39:54I, unlike you guys have a missed tight end one.
39:57Wow. That's embarrassing for you. Eric Moody as well.
39:59Has a missed tight end one because he knows ball.
40:02Oh, we have, we must have Trey McBride as tight end one.
40:05Is that what it is? Is he good? I don't, you want to do a board?
40:10Has he done anything the last couple of years?
40:12I don't know. How many, what like level of wide receiver is off the table in a trade for, for Brock Bowers?
40:18Right now. And that's me. I wouldn't trade him for chase.
40:21I wouldn't trade chase for him. So no JSN, no chase.
40:24Uh, Amon Ra. I'm going to lean. Yeah. I'd keep on.
40:27Again, that's positioned in your. Yep. Once you get into the CD lamb, Drake, yeah, I'm not trading Puka for him.
40:33Yeah. Probably the London tier is where, okay. So we're getting like past CD lamb and Justin Jefferson.
40:38I think right in that vicinity. Wide receiver eight through 10 range.
40:41Maybe. All right. I, you guys picked two already.
40:44There's not much to say about Trey McBride. I thought I would just take a moment to appreciate the ridiculousness that was
40:50Brock Bowers yesterday and do a stock check of just like rest of season, how valuable he is, not just compared to
40:56tight ends, but compared to other elite playmakers. And I think if you're a wide receiver, which he has been deployed as
41:02a wide receiver in that Las Vegas offense, he'd probably be somewhere between like wide receiver seven or eight.
41:07I agree with you. He's amazing. Yeah. Let's just hope their defense is not legit.
41:11And comes back to earth a little. Cause that's just going to, we want those, look, they play 4 p.m.
41:164 p.m. Eastern every week. And we love just watching Bowers just soak up second half targets.
41:21Just keep them coming all year long. Amen, baby.
41:23What kind of a, let's say that you've got Brock Bowers and you were going to consider, would you ever move him?
41:29Or at this point, would you be like, I would only, only want to acquire Brock Bowers.
41:34I mean, there's a world in which you snagged Alton Kinkade off of waivers.
41:38I was going to say, what tight end would you have to have on your roster behind Brock Bowers to consider making a move?
41:45Third into one. I mean, look, if you, yeah.
41:47So would, would he be high enough for you?
41:49I mean, look, if you have Kinkade or one of those other guys and you can move Bowers, someone will give you
41:55Jamar Chase or Amonra or Jefferson or like, and you need a receiver.
41:59Yeah. And you've got a tight end. I mean, you can certainly make the case.
42:03They're going to be similar or better. I would need someone better.
42:06I think than Harold Fannin, but I don't know.
42:09How do you feel about him this week? Uh, yeah, I actually thought you would start with him because we were just
42:15talking about this game, but I mean, I'm sorry.
42:17You know, it's still the preseason. Right. I'm starting with the guy that's ranked the highest and then moving up.
42:23I apologize. yeah. Harold Fannin, terrific game last week.
42:25We needed that after a slow start seven for 51 and two touchdowns on nine targets.
42:30Remember, he had the dud in week one, just 21 yards on three targets.
42:33Yep. Week two, a little better five for 54 and that one in six targets.
42:37It felt like still not a tight end one yet.
42:40It's a little nervous, but then of course, uh, exploded in week three.
42:44Um, you know, what's interesting about him is this is a little surprising, but his snaps and route participation are up big time from last year.
42:51And he was outstanding. I felt like he was an out there, out there every play last year.
42:56I know David and joke was involved for half the season, but, um, target shares actually up a little bit from last year as well.
43:03The key here is how well does Deshaun Watson play?
43:05Can he keep this going? He's been tough match.
43:08It was the Browns tomorrow night. Yeah, he was okay.
43:10Week one, he was played pretty well weeks two and three.
43:13And then, uh, yeah, this week is going to be, you know, huge.
43:17They're at home, but they're playing the Steelers to your point.
43:20We'll talk more about this one tomorrow. Uh, the Steelers did leave Mike, uh, Mike is sick.
43:25He opened for a touchdown last week. So there is that, I guess, in his defense for me, fan in a fringe tight end one guys.
43:32I'm not talking about a tight end inside the top 10, but I do have them ranked as a top 10 tight end.
43:38Okay. And that is Darren Waller, the baller, interesting.
43:41That's an aggressive rank. I like it. You guys have them at tight end 24.
43:45I've got them at 10. Um, I just want to throw up a full screen.
43:49I asked our production team to build looking at what tight ends have done against the lion so far this year.
43:54And I'll kind of lay it out to our audio listeners.
43:57Juwan Johnson, 14.2 fantasy points scored a touchdown. Noah fan, 13.3 fantasy points.
44:01Also in week one, also scored a touchdown. Don't Kincaid, 22.5 in week two, scored a touchdown.
44:06Dawson Knox, eight and a half. Also in week two, also scored a touchdown.
44:09Kenyon Sadiq, 23 and a half, scored a touchdown in week three.
44:13Jeremy Ruckert, 14.9 also scored a touchdown in week three.
44:15They have allowed five of these six tight ends on this screen to be top 10 in fantasy football in the weeks
44:21that they have played the Detroit Lions. They've only played three games.
44:25Correct. Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant were both top 10 tight ends in fantasy and Kenyon Sadiq and Jeremy Ruckert were both top 10 tight ends in fantasy.
44:32Obviously, don't think Kade was as well in week two.
44:35It's really amazing. Do you think there's like, what is behind this?
44:38Is it just randomness through three weeks? That's a great question.
44:41that's what? Six of the nine touchdowns. Is that right?
44:44Six of the nine touchdowns have gone to tight ends.
44:47I mean, yeah, I mean, certainly that ratio is going to probably fix itself, but it's still.
44:51Is it? They just have such poor safety play right now.
44:54Not that safety are exclusively responsible for tight ends.
44:57We don't also have our linebackers. Aren't notably, uh, always great in coverage.
45:00You know, we don't always have the best linebackers from a coverage perspective.
45:04I love our lover guy in the middle, but, um, yeah, allowing the most yards in the NFL, most receptions in the
45:10NFL and most touchdowns per game in the NFL.
45:13They're the type. I love this. This is a great, great stat by you.
45:16Great, great ranking. Yeah. This is interesting. It's also, I mean, Darren Waller did see a big jump in targets last week,
45:22but it's still, he's still only playing half the snap.
45:25So two touchdowns in week two and eight targets and eight targets, by the way, with no jail and Coker in, in week three, by the way.
45:32So like if Coker, the cause that definitely helped.
45:35That would help. So if he is going to be out this week, it would definitely boost him.
45:40And that's part of why I have him there.
45:42But even against I, like if every single one of those touchdown or tight end scored a touchdown against the Detroit lions,
45:48every single one of them that we had on this screen.
45:51So like, I think Darren Waller is fine in the end zone and maybe a spoiler alert for who I may pick for a long shot this week.
45:59Ooh. Yeah. Not Waller, but well, now you're tipping your hand.
46:02Well, if you guys want to go ahead and be bullies and take it, I'm trembling about what you, who you might.
46:08Wow. Good job, Mike. Pressed by you. Mitchell, Mitchell Evans.
46:11Yeah, buddy. Good job, buddy. Got some options. I love you.
46:14Should we just all pick a Panthers? How many?
46:16Do they have four on the roster? They should.
46:19Everyone takes a Panthers. Mitchell Evans. Tommy Tremble. Yeah.
46:21That's it. Is there, let's see. Let's see. I think they have a rookie, Oh, they have five.
46:26Yeah. Cause they have, maybe they'll all score. Fabian Sanders.
46:29Yeah. He hasn't played yet though. Philippe Franks. Who's the quarterback.
46:32Maybe he could throw one. He used to be a quarterback.
46:35So he's become a sweet special teams player. Yeah.
46:37Love that. All right. Let's do our fantasy face-off.
46:40Expand to the people. That's right. Guys. Field, you're going to be the judge.
46:43Mike and I are going to bring two guys to the table.
46:47Suits, judge fields, Yates. Do we have any images of you in a suit?
46:51One time. Oh, I wore a suit when I officiated our buddy, Damian Dabrowski's wedding.
46:55That's right. Yes. That's really it. The thing is you looked awesome in a suit.
46:59Thank you. I appreciate that. I appreciate it. You know who else looks awesome?
47:03Kyler Murray taking on the Miami dolphins. We already talked about it a bunch guys, but here's the deal.
47:08We're going to give a bunch of players, two players, Mike and I are going to give a player back and forth.
47:14I'm going to say why I would start this guy.
47:16Mike would say why he would start the other guy.
47:19Fields, you get to choose in between who would you choose in the fantasy faceoff conversation?
47:24Dig it. I'm going with Kyler Murray against the Miami dolphins.
47:27You already laid out the conversation earlier. Actually, can I have your notes?
47:30I'll just read that again. If you don't give them to him.
47:33You're helping. No, this is great. This is fantastic.
47:36So Kyler, That's mine. He's terrible. They have zero sacks this season.
47:39Did you guys know that? Quarterbacks are allowing 80.3% of passes to be completed to them.
47:439.1 yards allowed per attempt. Honestly, one of the things that I wanted to say that I didn't when you were giving
47:49your analysis field, the other quarterbacks, not everyone has had huge games against Miami, to be honest.
47:54Okay. But what those other teams have had are real running backs.
47:57It was the 49ers who had CMC. It was the Chiefs who had Ken Walker, the third, and it was the Raiders who had Ashton Jenty.
48:04I don't think that Aaron Jones is in that same level of running back.
48:08And so because of that, I still expect the Vikings to be doing quite a bit of offense in this one, which
48:14means if it's not coming from the running back, like I did with the other three teams that played there, I just
48:20think that Kyler is going to get a little bit more than the other quarterbacks saw the previous three weeks.
48:26So that's why I am in on Kyler because of the matchup.
48:29And if I'm out, then I get burned by Kyler Murray.
48:32Wow. Mr. Clay. Yeah. I'm going to take this guy, Patrick Mahomes.
48:35Have you heard of him? He seems like he's pretty good at football.
48:39Yeah. I'm going to roll with him. He's actually done something this season and last season.
48:43I mean, he was even better than him last season.
48:46Kyler Murray last score, 19 fantasy points in a game in 2024.
48:49It's been that long since he's had a really good fantasy game.
48:53Mahomes was top 10 in the first two weeks of the season.
48:56Didn't have to throw much last week against the Miami dolphins, who your quarterback is facing.
49:00And the dolphins have held two quarterbacks now under 16 fantasy points because teams do not have to throw the ball against them.
49:06So that's a concern with Murray. Whereas Mahomes, you know what you're getting.
49:10He's been so productive. Fifth and passing yards, fifth and passing touchdowns.
49:13Also as a rushing touchdown, they're playing the Raiders who allowed 17 to Malik Willis.
49:17Yep. They'll add 24 to your guy, Tyler Shuck.
49:20Yep. I mean, why even mess around with Kyler Murray this week?
49:23It doesn't make sense. I do want to say, and maybe I'm, I might be wrong on this.
49:28I don't think the rushing that we saw, in week one, that touchdown, like you take away his rushing touchdown.
49:33I know that's not the way fantasy works. He had 15 fantasy points.
49:37Okay. Kyler Murray is two carries for 17 yards.
49:39And in week three, Patrick Mahomes, again, had 15 fantasy points.
49:42when Patrick Mahomes isn't doing the rushing stuff that he did last season, he's an average fantasy quarterback.
49:47He's top five in passing yards and touchdowns. I don't think it's going to sustain.
49:51Very different approaches from the two of you. Daniel, I'm an emotional fantasy ranker.
49:55I was still in the courtroom as well. Like you much more appeal to like, you know, the humanity side.
50:01Yes. Mike tries to bully his way into an argument win.
50:04And it worked. Patrick Mahomes is my pick. It's hard.
50:06How do you, how do you pick against Patrick?
50:09I don't know. he's right over your shoulder. Look at that imagery.
50:12Like, how do you? It's true. All right. We'll go running back.
50:16I'll let you go first. Then Mike, maybe the problem is I led with a bad argument.
50:20Maybe you can stumble, fumble off the top. Yeah.
50:23This one's going to be a lot tighter for sure.
50:25We're going to be talking about Irving. I'm making the case for Bucky Irving.
50:29You're making the case for your guy, chase Brown here.
50:32Um, I love what I've seen from Bucky so far.
50:35He is top 15 at running back and touches yards and fantasy, fantasy points so far.
50:39Also second and catches among running backs, which is obviously going to bring your floor up at least 15 touches in all
50:45three games, 90 plus yards in two of the three games.
50:48And the exception was the Vikings elite run defense last week.
50:51So, uh, that's not the case against the Packers this week.
50:54They've allowed six touchdowns and the second most fantasy points to running back so far, even if they roll back, they rolled
51:00back Irving usage a little bit last week, and he still was, uh, productive against a good defense.
51:05So, give me Bucky Irving here over chase Brown, who by the way has been under 11 fantasy points now in two consecutive games, Daniel.
51:12So chase Brown, while being under 11 fantasy points in two consecutive games, it's tough when you lead my argument with a negative stat.
51:18I have other negatives. Do you know what I mean?
51:21No, no, no. I didn't actually want you to lead in in the first place.
51:25There's a lot of them here. Here's the thing about chase Brown.
51:28Have you guys watched the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play football this year?
51:32My gosh, that team is terrible. Yeah. Do you think that without Baker Mayfield out there, you're just going to give the
51:38football to Bucky Irving and defenses aren't just going to swarm the box and be like, sure, we're going to let this guy beat us.
51:44No, let the quarterback beat you with his arm.
51:47Chase Brown plays on an offense that could easily score 30 points a game every single week of the season, even though
51:53last week and the week before was not great.
51:55Here's what he did do. He had 21 touches in week one.
51:59He had 23 touches in week two last week, 15 against a tough Pittsburgh defense.
52:03That's part of the defense that you can run up against with the Pittsburgh Steelers in their same division.
52:08Sometimes no way against the Jacksonville Jaguars. I understand also another good defense, but there's no way with what this offense is
52:14and the quarterback, they're going to have under center and what they will look like versus the Bucks with a backup quarterback.
52:20There's no way I'm starting Bucky Irving over Chase Brown with everything that Chase Brown.
52:24So wait, the Jags are allowing 3.1 yards per carry to running back.
52:28So it's probably going to slow him on the ground.
52:30Numbers are going to help your argument. And the, and the, and Chase Brown over the last two weeks is a total of 10 receiving yards.
52:37So where's he getting the production from? So not on the ground, not in the, in the passing game.
52:43I have to give Daniel credit because that was a much better effort to persuade on that.
52:47Like you appeal with like a little bit more zest and vigor.
52:51Yeah. But still not enough. Bucky is the guy that I'm starting.
52:54Dang it, Mike is 2-0. Let's wrap it up with wide receivers.
52:57All right. The problem, the only piece of advice is like you make really good points and then you're like, yeah, I
53:03know the Jacksonville like is like a whatever. I want it because I want to be, Oh, don't be honest.
53:09No, don't be honest. That's the problem with lawyers.
53:11There's no objectivity. I give you my side and I don't give you the other side.
53:15I let you bring up the other side. By the way, are you picking, are you picking the guy you've ranked higher?
53:21Are you just like, are you just going off of argument?
53:24Okay. Vibes. I like that. All right. I like that.
53:27That's good. Exactly. Yeah. We're going to, we're going to rotate every week.
53:31So I want to see how I should approach this in the future.
53:34I'm the judge. Okay. Last one. Last one. A wide receiver.
53:37You'll go first or second. It's up to you.
53:40I want to go second again. Okay. Mike is bringing Lad McConkie to the table.
53:44I'm talking Luther Burden, the third. Yeah. So it's a guy.
53:47This is a tricky one. A guy you love versus a guy I didn't love.
53:51You hate. This is a tricky one. Yeah. So this is a tricky one for sure.
53:55But give me Lad McConkie here. I'm still buying in on him.
53:59Remember, he only played half the game in week one, had five catches for 82 yards and a touchdown.
54:04Week two, only played half the snaps. Did have a dud coming off the injury.
54:08We didn't know if he was going to play in that one.
54:11Smart. Last week, back to a full-time role, put up 66 yards in that game.
54:15He's still, I know that offense has been bad, but he has been very busy.
54:19Last week against Seattle, Terry McLaren put up almost 20 fantasy points, 19.7.
54:23So maybe the number one receiver can do something against this defense.
54:26And I'm still a little hesitant on, on the other side of this with Luther Burden, a little hesitant on if Case Keenum could do it again.
54:33Look, Burden is averaging 6.8 yards per target this season.
54:36So the volume is better last week, but the efficiency has not been.
54:40They're playing the Jets. Do you know that only one wide receiver has reached 12 fantasy points?
54:44I want to go with Amon Ross. Against the Jets?
54:47No, it's your boy Christian Watson. Yeah. It was 14 points.
54:50That's the most put up in a game against the Jets.
54:53So Burden might have his, his hands full here.
54:56So give, give the edge to, uh, the guy thinks the better, more polished player now healthy.
55:00Finally in, in, Ladd McConkie. Burden's got his hands full.
55:03That means he's got a lot of balls in him.
55:06So it's going to be a lot of opportunities guys.
55:08Is that the whole argument? No, hold on. I think I got more.
55:12Hold on. I think I got more. Uh, Luther Burden guys, 11 targets last week, by the way, did you even watch any of the chargers games?
55:19There's no way that you're like talking about how Luther Burden is like maybe played poorly or something about this bears offense.
55:25If you didn't watch the chargers games, then you would be talking about Ladd McConkie.
55:29Like he was actually good at football, but the offense is awful.
55:33There was nothing to write home about. There's no reason for optimism in this offense.
55:37There is reason for optimism around Luther Burden though, because 11 targets last week, seven for 61 and a touchdown clearly coming on.
55:43I'm not buying the Tyson Bajan thing. It's him and Case Keenum.
55:46He clearly looked like the guy. And in this offense, Roma Dunze out, not even thinking about starting Roma Dunze.
55:52But when I look at vibes and the way that these offenses are rolling, I don't care about the Jets defense.
55:58I don't care about any of that. I would rather have the guy that has been doing things, 11 targets, something that
56:04makes me feel like I can build off of rather than right now, if I'm starting Ladd McConkie, I have no confidence.
56:10I have zero confidence in Ladd because we're playing the Seattle Seahawks.
56:13We have gone up against a bunch of cake matchups and I've done nothing in them except for the first game.
56:19That was three games ago. That doesn't help me in week four, Michael.
56:22All right. So Daniel absolutely does a much better job with each round that goes by.
56:26He's getting angrier and making your arguments. But that's, that's more persuasive.
56:30However, Oh, I hate the however. Was it persuasive enough?
56:32Yes. burden it is. Well done. That was the toughest case to make.
56:36That really was. Yeah. That was a tough one.
56:38It doesn't feel good to start Ladd McConkie right now, but also is he the most talented wide receiver in this range
56:44of wide receivers around 25 to 35? Probably. I mean, there are some really talented players there.
56:49Jameson Williams is like way down there. Super talented.
56:52Like there's a bunch of guys this year. So there are.
56:55That's the hard part. All right. Fun times. Field, you did good as a judge.
56:59I didn't have to do much. It was great.
57:01Yeah. Judge Judy and execution. For the record, I'm up two to one.
57:05We're keeping track of all of these. Will there be any clean sweeps this year?
57:09I don't know. Find out. It's very important that we don't just try to be like, all right, he got two.
57:15So he gets one now as long as we keep it objective.
57:18Yeah. Guys, we are doing our Wednesday random ranking.
57:20We love the chat for this. It's always been a ton of fun.
57:24Make sure if you are in chat or if you're not, you come and hang out on the Wednesday show and let
57:30us know what your top rankings are. Today it is worst fictional movie or TV show plot to be stuck in.
57:36Worst fictional movie or TV show plot to be stuck in.
57:39No true crimes. No, yeah. Documentaries, anything like that.
57:41Yep. Who wants to go first? You both looked at me, so I'll go first.
57:45I've been going first the last couple times. My third one is Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
57:50Oh, that was on my list. For real? Yeah.
57:52Just being shrunk down. That'd be scary. What if he can't come back?
57:56I was just saying. It was on my, yeah, it was on my, it was on my short list of movies to consider.
58:02You know, a comedy too, so it's fun, but also a great movie to go back and watch too.
58:07But that would be a nightmare to be. It'd be terrible.
58:10Yeah, to be that small. You're shrunk down. Realistically, you would just be gone immediately.
58:14Yes. You get eaten by a bug or something, it'd be over with.
58:18When you see like those giant pants, like walking by, you're like, yeah, it'd be terrible.
58:22Yeah, the giant oatmeal pie sandwich in that movie.
58:25Those are great movies. Think about that. It would take you like a week and a half to eat it all.
58:30It'd be very satisfying. A week and a half?
58:33That's it. Depends how small you are, I guess.
58:35Don't ants eat fast? Yeah, but you're not an ant.
58:38I mean, you're just shrunk. You're just going to accidentally shrunk.
58:41Oh, fast eater. That's fair. All right. All right.
58:43That's my three. Are we doing them all or are we going?
58:47No, no, no. Oh, number three for me? Yeah, do three for you.
58:50This is pretty modern. This is very much in vogue right now.
58:54Okay. Not a blood guy. The Pit. Have you guys watched The Pit?
58:57I have not. I have not watched it yet, but I've heard.
59:00Everybody loves it. Everybody says it's an amazing show.
59:03I've only seen bits and pieces. That's not where you would thrive.
59:06The blood. Not for me. I'm out. I'm out.
59:09Apparently, of all the medical shows, it's considered the most realistic.
59:12Sure. Oh, yeah, just showing up to work today.
59:14All I have to do is suture together in open hearts.
59:17Not for me. I'm out. That's fair. Fields' life so good is nightmare scenarios being a doctor.
59:22Like, flumming it as a doctor. You want to be, that's his nightmare scenario.
59:26Do you want to be playing with like intestines?
59:28I'm saving lives of children out here. I can't handle this, guys.
59:31No, but I mean, if you see the list of shows I have, it's like, well, my next two are a little
59:37more like, you know, just kind of goofy, but that first one, I just, I don't do blood well.
59:42My first one, yeah. My first one is, um, Lost.
59:45Damn it! Oh, good one. That was my number one pick.
59:48Was it? Yes! Shield, I'm so sorry. Or let's talk about it.
59:51Yeah. Do you know how confusing that show is?
59:54I have no idea what happened. It ended 25 years ago and none of us know.
59:58You're on an island. And by the way, there's, your plane crashed.
60:02I got to be a part of a plane crash probably.
60:05That sucks. That's not great. You're on an island.
60:07There's a polar bear, a smoke monster. It's not Penny's boat.
60:10There's others. And there's a hatch with a bunch of numbers that we did.
60:14Like, there's, it never makes sense. And I would, oh, field, take over.
60:17My brain just short-circuted. So I don't know, like if for shows that last for like, you know, season upon season upon
60:23season, I don't know how much foresight there is.
60:26Like when friends is going through their unbelievably dominant run, like when you're in the middle of season four, have you already mapped out five and six?
60:33Because the energy I got from lost was that like, it's the middle of season two.
60:38We don't know what's going to happen at the end of season two.
60:41They kind of like made the story up as it moved along.
60:44And that to me as a consumer was very confusing.
60:47My mind was all discombobulated. This is the unquestioned number one for me.
60:51Lost just threw me for a world many times over.
60:53I love that. Great show though. Yellow Jack is very similar.
60:56Might be worse in a similar circumstances. I don't know if you've seen that, but that's a wild.
61:01It's a wild. Similar, similar concept, but yeah. Shout out to our buddy, Daniel day Kim, by the way, one of the stars.
61:08That's right. Two for me is, this is a silly one, Truman Show.
61:11Oh man. Like your entire life, you're being watched.
61:14You're being watched, yeah. At all times, everything. Think about that, like you can't escape anything.
61:18Every, all the intimate parts of your life, everything.
61:20That'd be terrible. I wonder if that might be how life is now.
61:24What? Yeah. Sometimes it feels like we're being watched.
61:26Yeah, I mean, you're right. Yeah. You should read Dungeon Crawler Carl.
61:30Dungeon Crawler Carl? Yeah. Okay. It's a great book.
61:32It kind of like dives into a little bit of that.
61:35It's a very fun, fantastical book. It's a good series.
61:38All right. You've already gotten my number one. So Daniel, you can go to your.
61:42My number two is Jurassic Park. Yeah. Good one.
61:44Tough one. Because I love dinosaurs, but like that's, it's the opposite way of the way that you want to encounter the dinosaurs.
61:51It's just running and screaming and terror and all of that stuff.
61:54And you don't, you're not prepared for it. Like it would be terrible.
61:58So I could watch Jurassic Park, the original one, a hundred times a year.
62:01Yeah. Great movie. Just really want to be a part of it.
62:05I wouldn't want to be in the movie. No, it's a great movie to watch.
62:09Would never want to be in it. So that's my number two.
62:12All right. So my number one is loss. I'm not moving off that stance.
62:16That's fair. My number two though is Breaking Bad.
62:18Because it's just like a series of events that like, you know, are going to eventually end in a crash and burn scenario.
62:25Yeah. Your life is falling apart around you. Your wife is the absolute worst, right?
62:29I mean, Fields goes from being a doctor in one to making meth in the other.
62:33There's a big gap between one and two. Not like Walter White should be like, you know, he's not exactly like the
62:39poster child for like integrity and all that. There were some things he did along the way that were wrong, but it
62:45was just like every plan or every part of the plan he devised.
62:49It was like, all right, this is going to buy us a little bit more time until we step into another pile
62:55of crap a little bit later on. So Breaking Bad will be a very difficult place to be.
63:00Like it. Mine is, oh man, this one's, if you're our age, this one's going to bring it back in a bad way.
63:06Final destination. Oh yes. That's tough. Just knowing. Yes.
63:08What's coming down the line. All that moves over and over.
63:11Speaking like any Armageddon type show. Yeah. You can say that, but this one like you, it's just all those disasters.
63:17I mean, have you driven on a road and seen a truck, a tractor trailer with long logs on it and not thought about that movie?
63:24Like that's just. You wait for the one I changed to release and then it just comes flying.
63:29Absolutely. Speed up and get past this truck as fast as possible.
63:32Anytime you get into an elevator, you're like get in before the door closes.
63:36More like you walk on an escalator to go up at a mall.
63:40Malls used to be a thing that kids would go to back in our, when we were children.
63:45And there's a couple left out there. Yeah. So, um, do you have another one?
63:49Do you want to give your number? I want lost to be my number one, because that's how passionate.
63:54That's how passionate you are about it. Um, my number one movie, worst fictional movie or TV show plot to be a part of would be draft day.
64:02I have to work for the Cleveland Browns. Wow.
64:04That's shot through the heart. Sorry. They might win on Thursday night.
64:07Keith. I don't know. That is rude. They might win on Thursday night.
64:11What are you going to do then? I don't know.
64:14They're two in one. That's a good question. Yeah.
64:16Yeah. I have a, I have a couple honorable mentions.
64:19Bring it. Let's, let's do these first in case someone takes them.
64:22Days of our lives would suck. Just stuck in a crappy drama.
64:25I thought about golden girls. I thought about having that be on the list for what it's worth.
64:30The walking dead. I thought about that as well.
64:33The walking dead. Uh, that's amazing. Good one. Yep.
64:35That's such a great movie. In a way. It wouldn't be.
64:38You, we think it's fun cause it's a movie.
64:41Oh no. Jeff, Jeff C. Yeah. If you haven't seen the human centipede, you don't want to.
64:45I haven't seen that. No, no, you don't need to watch it.
64:48You don't need to. Starship troopers thought about that one as well.
64:52That one was real gross. That one was real gross.
64:54That was one of my honorable mentions. Yeah. That was, that was another good one.
64:59Yeah. The thing with saw though, is like, you have to do something bad to be even put in there.
65:04So it's like a weird one. Like you have to basically be a criminal or something.
65:08Uh, other ones for me, groundhog day. I thought about that.
65:11Uh, and the purge. That's another good one. You haven't watched the purge?
65:15No, what's the purge? Field. And a couple of those.
65:18Yeah. One, all crime is legal for one day.
65:20One day. All crime is legal. 24 hour period.
65:23It's a movie. It's a, there's a couple of three or four movies.
65:26Yeah. I gotta write this one down. Um, don't watch it with the kids.
65:30Fields like that's interesting to me. We should do that.
65:33I'm going to write my congressman. The purge. Let's go to the poll here.
65:37We set out a poll at the very beginning of the show, guys.
65:40Who is the toughest? Mike Clay. Thank you. Come on.
65:43That's right. You guys are the worst. You'll last.
65:45I love the field. You have 27% as the lowest.
65:48I wanted that in there just because I knew that was going to happen.
65:52That's hilarious. Recount. You know what though? But our demographic out there, everybody gets it, you know?
65:56That was good. Tough being a little tired, you know?
65:59Just tired. Thanks for hanging out with us today, guys.
66:02We're going to be back tomorrow. We're going to preview week four, dive into what will be Thursday night football and hang
66:08out with these Yahoo's a little bit longer for Mike and field.
66:11I'm not showing up to me. I am, Daniel.
66:14We love you guys. Don't forget to love each other and be kind to yourself.
66:18You deserve it. We'll see you guys tomorrow. That's a fine.
66:21You just learned that. You in the hole, six, oh, one, oh,
