Baker Mayfield

NegativeValue11:10

Mike Clay notes that Baker Mayfield was selected in the fifth round of their Superflex mock draft.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

NegativeValue59:29

Field Yates expresses concern regarding Bijan Robinson's fantasy outlook due to the poor offensive infrastructure in Atlanta, specifically citing sub-4.0 yards per carry averages and the presence of Tyler Allgeier, who may siphon goal-to-go touches. Mike Clay counters that Robinson is an elite prospect, noting that the last nine running backs drafted in the top 12 of the NFL Draft finished as top-12 fantasy RBs as rookies. Clay is not worried about Allgeier, pointing out that Robinson still produced over 2,000 yards and finished as the RB2 last season despite Allgeier's involvement.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeValue10:55

Mike Clay notes that Bo Nix was selected ahead of Patrick Mahomes in their mock draft, going at pick 3.10.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeProjection63:48

Mike Clay and Field Yates are both invested in Breece Hall, but express caution regarding the New York Jets' offensive environment. The primary concerns are the potential for poor quarterback play and the risk that the team could struggle to run the ball if they are trailing in games. Despite these concerns, Hall remains a high-tier running back option.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveValue6:05

Field Yates identifies Brock Bowers as a tight end option that might cause drafters to go heavy on the position early, potentially leading to a strategy of waiting on wide receivers until the fourth or fifth round.

Insight page

Cam Ward

PositiveBreakout11:30

Mike Clay and Field Yates discuss Cam Ward as a breakout player and a year-two quarterback who is difficult to rank, with Yates admitting he fears having regret if he doesn't get exposure to him despite not having him in his top 15.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

PositiveValue18:00

Field Yates expresses a desire to be able to draft CeeDee Lamb in multiple leagues without the conflict of having to play against him in others, indicating his high confidence in the player.

Insight page
PositiveValue18:35

The speaker expresses high confidence in CeeDee Lamb, noting that he is a player they are 'all in' on and actively target in multiple leagues.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

PositiveBust64:00

Mike Clay is fading Chris Godwin, noting that he has not cleared five touchdowns in a season since 2020 and has struggled with injuries, playing only 16 total games over the last two years. Clay is concerned about the lack of a clear ceiling for Godwin, especially with the emergence of Jalen McMillan and other options in the Tampa Bay offense. Clay prefers to target other players at Godwin's current draft position.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveProjection55:03

Despite concerns about age and heavy workload, Mike Clay maintains Christian McCaffrey as a top-3 running back. McCaffrey is viewed as a 'unicorn' who defies standard age-related decline curves. He led all running backs in snaps, routes, touches, targets, catches, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, and fantasy points last season. In his last five healthy seasons (16+ games), he has finished 3rd, 1st, 2nd, 1st, and 1st in fantasy points per game. He remains the best receiving running back in NFL history and is locked into a high-volume role in the Kyle Shanahan offense.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

NegativeValue11:15

Mike Clay notes that he selected Daniel Jones in their Superflex mock draft, and Field Yates ranks him as his quarterback 17, calling him an established floor play.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveValue40:26

Derrick Henry is preferred over J.K. Dobbins as a second-round pick, with the presence of Keaton Mitchell in the Chargers' backfield serving as a tie-breaker against Dobbins.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveBreakout6:40

Field Yates identifies DeVonta Smith as a trendy breakout candidate and the presumptive wide receiver one for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Insight page
NegativeProjection47:44

DeVonta Smith moves into the WR1 role for the Eagles, but there are concerns about whether the offense can support consistent fantasy production for a second receiver given the presence of Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert.

Insight page

Dontayvion Wicks

PositiveSleeper47:02

Dontayvion Wicks has looked sharp in training camp and is being compared to Keenan Allen for his route running and reliability, making him a preferred late-round flyer.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

PositiveBreakout7:05

Field Yates names Emeka Egbuka his favorite breakout candidate of the year, noting that through the first five weeks of last season, he was the wide receiver three behind only Puka Nacua and Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveBreakout61:56

Mike Clay remains high on Garrett Wilson, citing his history as a target hog and his ability to produce even with poor quarterback play. Clay believes the addition of Geno Smith (or similar stable QB play) would benefit Wilson, noting that Geno Smith has supported multiple top-tier fantasy receivers in the past. Clay views Wilson as a superstar talent and believes his current ADP offers a discount due to his injury-shortened 2023 season.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

NegativeProjection33:31

The speaker suggests the Vikings may no longer believe in J.J. McCarthy's immediate potential, noting that his performance has been poor and the team is hedging by keeping the quarterback competition open.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeUsage38:12

Mike McDaniel's comments suggest a committee approach in the backfield where all three running backs will play a real role, though J.K. Dobbins is still considered the primary guy.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveValue5:52

Field Yates highlights Ja'Marr Chase as one of the elite wide receivers to target at the top of drafts, suggesting that if you miss out on him, Puka Nacua, or Justin Jefferson, you should pivot to other positions and wait for value in the middle rounds.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

PositiveSleeper64:36

Field Yates and Mike Clay both highlight Jalen McMillan as an underrated player in the Tampa Bay offense. Yates suggests taking McMillan as a late-round dart throw rather than drafting Chris Godwin, viewing him as a high-upside value pick.

Insight page

James Conner

NegativeDepth Chart61:11

Mike Clay suggests that James Conner does not have a long-term role in the Arizona Cardinals' offense, stating that he likely will not be the primary back if the other players on the roster are healthy. Clay expresses hope that Conner finds a new team where he can contribute.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeProjection42:00

Despite concerns regarding the offensive line following Laremy Tunsil's injury, Jayden Daniels' fantasy outlook remains stable due to his improved supporting cast and significant rushing upside.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeInjury7:40

Daniel Dopp mentions that Jaylen Waddle is currently dealing with an injury, but still considers him a talented option in the middle rounds of drafts.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeProjection52:02

Justin Herbert is a polarizing fantasy asset; while he has elite physical tools and a good offensive line, his historical finishes (11th-15th) and the lack of consistent top-tier production lead to a lower ranking (QB14) from some analysts compared to others (QB6).

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveValue5:52

Field Yates lists Justin Jefferson alongside Puka Nacua and Ja'Marr Chase as the elite wide receivers to target early, advising drafters to wait until the fourth or fifth round if they miss out on these top options.

Insight page
PositiveProjection35:51

Justin Jefferson is considered 'veto-proof' for fantasy purposes, as he has demonstrated the ability to remain a dominant producer even with subpar quarterback play.

Insight page
PositiveProjection36:51

Justin Jefferson remains a dominant fantasy asset regardless of quarterback quality; he has proven he can produce elite numbers even with subpar quarterback play, as evidenced by his performance during the Nick Mullens and Jaren Hall stretch.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

NegativeRole38:37

Keaton Mitchell is expected to have a real role in the offense that will bite into J.K. Dobbins' value, though he is ranked around RB49 and his standalone value is limited.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeDepth Chart32:15

The Vikings have not officially named a starter, but the speaker believes Kyler Murray is the likely Week 1 starter over J.J. McCarthy, noting that the team is still evaluating the process.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveBreakout6:50

Field Yates notes that drafters are invested in the Chargers offense and the potential for a breakout from Ladd McConkey, citing his speed as a key asset for Mike McDaniel's scheme.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveInjury22:58

Malik Nabers is expected to be available for Week 1 against the Cowboys, barring any setbacks. Despite initial concerns about a four-to-six-game absence, the current outlook is optimistic.

Insight page
PositiveValue23:26

Malik Nabers is currently being drafted in the middle of the third round (ADP 38, WR14), but the speaker ranks him as WR9, neck-and-neck with AJ Brown, due to his high talent and projected availability.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeValue11:15

Mike Clay notes that Malik Willis was selected shortly after Daniel Jones in their Superflex mock draft.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeValue9:00

Daniel Dopp and Field Yates express surprise at Marvin Harrison Jr.'s fall to the ninth round in their Superflex mock draft, noting that while he is not dead in the water, his investment has not been worth it through two years due to a lack of consistent usage.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

NegativeValue11:05

Mike Clay notes that he selected Matthew Stafford with the 11th pick of the third round in their Superflex mock draft.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

PositiveValue43:43

Michael Pittman is a target monster with five straight seasons of 111+ targets; he is a highly drafted player and a consistent producer who remains a strong value in the eighth round.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveUsage10:10

Field Yates notes that Michael Wilson benefited from the Cardinals' pass-heavy offensive approach in the second half of last season, leading to inflated fantasy stats.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveValue10:45

Mike Clay identifies Patrick Mahomes as the best value at the seventh pick in the third round of their Superflex mock draft.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveValue5:52

Field Yates identifies Puka Nacua as a top-tier wide receiver option to target early in drafts, noting that if you don't land him, Ja'Marr Chase, or Justin Jefferson, you should be prepared to wait until the fourth or fifth round for other wide receiver options.

Insight page

Rachaad White

NegativeUsage42:30

Rachaad White is expected to maintain his role as an effective pass-catching running back in the Washington offense, potentially limiting the passing-game upside of other backs.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

NegativeValue11:20

Mike Clay identifies Sam Darnold as a decent floor play as a number two quarterback in the sixth round of a Superflex draft.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

NegativeValue7:40

Daniel Dopp notes that Tee Higgins was selected in the middle rounds of their mock draft, highlighting the depth of talent available at the wide receiver position in that range.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

NegativeRole7:55

Daniel Dopp discusses TreVeyon Henderson as a potential number two running back, noting that he is being drafted in the same range as other mid-round skill players.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveValue6:05

Field Yates notes that drafters might go running back or tight end heavy early, specifically mentioning Trey McBride as a player who might lead to bypassing top wide receivers in the early rounds.

Insight page
PositiveUsage10:10

Field Yates notes that Trey McBride saw inflated stats in the second half of last season due to the Cardinals' pass-heavy offensive approach, which also benefited Michael Wilson.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

NegativeUsage60:07

Field Yates is concerned that Tyler Allgeier will continue to take valuable goal-to-go touches away from Bijan Robinson. Mike Clay dismisses this concern, noting that Allgeier had over 600 yards and eight touchdowns last year while Robinson still managed to finish as the RB2, suggesting their roles can coexist for fantasy purposes.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveBreakout44:35

Tyler Warren is a high-upside value target at tight end who could potentially finish as the TE1 due to projected high target volume and potential rushing usage.

Insight page

Xavier Legette

PositiveBreakout6:25

Field Yates highlights Xavier Legette as a breakout candidate, noting a four-week stretch last year where he was a top-12 wide receiver and expecting a second-year boost as the clear-cut wide receiver one in Carolina.

1:42A little bit of a recap from yesterday's mock draft.
1:45We'll go through that pretty quickly. We got some training camp breakdowns as well.

2:33Yeah, I'm told there's a few left, so we've got a little bit of space left for those that want to be.
2:39Let's make it happen. Party. We'll get to hang out, too.
2:42Remember, after the show, we hang out. Yes. Maybe have a drink.
2:45The problem is. It's so fun. Last live show, I'm pretty sure you were just there for the zip line.
2:50Like, I don't think you even cared about the live show.
2:53Yeah. I mean, I was. I mean, that's true.
2:56That's true. You guys, you guys had all the interacting.
2:58I was on the zip line. That's the whole time.
3:01Yeah, we're just making. Are we? First, I think you should leave a reference of this year.
3:06Yes. First one of the year. Exactly. Exactly. Field hasn't yelled 55 yet, so.
3:10Start the calendar. 55. It'll happen. There's one. 55 takeaways.
3:12I was going to say, 55 mock draft takeaways.
3:15Let's start with Field. We had a big mock draft yesterday.
3:18Just in case people didn't watch it or be a part of that yesterday.
3:21Real quickly, it is a super flex draft with an extra flex position.
3:25So we had two extra spots. Very deep draft.
3:27A little bit different than our usual ones. Field.
3:30Any major takeaways for you? So this, you have to kind of bake in that you have two extra spots on each roster.
3:36So you can almost move this takeaway up by like a round or two if you're just doing a standard 10 or 12 team league.
3:43Okay. Round six produced four wide receiver picks that I was all about when I saw them come off the board yesterday.
3:49So in a standard league, this might be more like round four.
3:52It's just kind of a reminder that if you don't land a Puka or a Jamar Chase or a Justin Jefferson, JSN,
3:58any of those guys at the very top, because you either go running back heavy or perhaps running back plus tight end
4:04heavy early on with a Trey McBride or a Brock Bowers, there are going to be some awesome wide receiver options somewhere
4:10in the fourth to fifth round in our 10 or 12 team leagues.
4:14The four guys that went in round six specifically yesterday that I loved.
4:17Teddero McMillan. This is not the order, by the way, which they were taken.
4:21It's just the four guys. Just four guys. Teddero McMillan, who had a stretch of four weeks last year where he was a top 12 wide receiver.
4:28We expect a boost in his second year. Clear cut wide receiver one in Carolina.
4:32Devontae Smith, another trendy breakout candidate, AJ Brown, now in New England Patriot.
4:36Devontae Smith, the presumptive wide receiver one for Philadelphia.
4:38Lad McConkie, who we know that Lad two years ago was the toast of the town for the Chargers.
4:43Last season was a mystery. But we're all kind of invested in this Chargers offense and the potential for a breakout.
4:49Mike McDaniel has a need for speed. Lad McConkie offers plenty of that.
4:53And then finally, Emeka Abuka. You guys know my favorite breakout candidate of the year who, through the first five weeks of
4:59last season, was wide receiver three behind only Puka Nakua in Amonra St.
5:02Brown. So the takeaway to apply this to other drafts is just patience will be a virtue at wide receiver.
5:07I'm not telling you to bypass a Puka Nakua or a Jamar Chase, but it can get kind of empty and feel like an inauspicious start.
5:15If you don't have a running back and you're going into the third or fourth round, I don't feel that same way
5:21if I don't have a wide receiver into the third or fourth round.
5:24Yeah. A couple of things here. First of all, that was the order.
5:28They were picked. So well done by you. Way to go.
5:31Nailed it. Also, T. Higgins went right before Abuka.
5:33And we also had Jalen Waddle in the middle.
5:35Now, I know he's a little beat up right now, but that's a lot of talent in that spot, to your point.
5:41And if you look at the running backs that are going in this area, too.
5:45Cam Scadaboo, I like him. We'll talk about him perhaps later.
5:48Quinchon Judkins, fine. But then it's, you know, Trevion Henderson.
5:51We have Tedaroa, Trevion Henderson, who might be a number two running back.
5:55We may talk about that at some point, too.
5:57Then Devontae Smith. Then McConkie. Waddle. Then, I mean, it's super flex.
6:00Sam Darnold. T. Higgins. Janarian Price is a question mark.
6:03Bashal Tootin, a question mark. You know, a breakout guy.
6:06A lot of certified star receivers here are guys that we have very high hopes for.
6:10I think some people, though, might be a little surprised.
6:13And I know ADP kind of reflects this. But I think if you just think like Tedaroa and McMillan, it's like, ah, it's the Panthers offense.
6:20And I don't know if he, like, has that level, that ceiling.
6:23But at Buka, like, there's just so much more hype for it.
6:26Like, Tedaroa is kind of quieter. Sure. But McMillan is going ahead of him at times and well ahead of him in this draft.
6:33I think that kind of makes sense in a lot of ways.
6:36Remember, McMillan went first in the draft. And also, McMillan was a rookie of the year.
6:41Yes, he was. And he was a much safer play in fantasy last year.
6:44Buka started high. And then he really disappeared. McMillan didn't have as high a ceiling.
6:48But his floor was really high because he saw a lot of target volume.
6:52And we, of course, we expect him to go to the next level this year.
6:56So, like, that's how, that's kind of how I still feel about them.
7:00I feel like a Buka is a better shot to be, like, a top five or ten receiver.
7:05But I feel like the floor maybe is a little higher with McMillan, who, in theory, is the more talented player.
7:10I think that's fair. Yeah, I don't know. Well, I would like to attack on it.
7:15I'm going to go second, if you guys don't mind, really quickly, because I think it kind of dovetails off of what Field said.
7:21I, first off, I think the first round is exactly what you should expect in a super flex league.
7:26We saw the first five quarterbacks come off the board in a super flex league.
7:30And I think that's about right. More often than not.
7:33Six actually went to start. Did Joe Burrow come off as well?
7:36I didn't realize Burrow was part of that. So, that was one of my major takeaways.
7:41And then, I like that people pivoted. Don't force the quarterback spot, right?
7:44When you're in a super flex league, sometimes you feel like you need to force a quarterback.
7:49I think people did the right thing in grabbing some nice skill position players.
7:53My takeaway is that I had a perfect draft except for the sixth round.
7:56Perfect. And if I changed it, let's just take a look at this really quickly.
8:00If I change this up, and in the sixth round, I don't take Jadarian Price.
8:05And instead, I take the guy that you just talked about, Emeka Abuka, who was on the board.
8:09Yeah. My lineup, Drake May, Baker Mayfield, James Cook, Omari and Hampton, Emeka Abuka, Jamison Williams, Colston Loveland, DK Metcalf with either Marvin Harrison Jr.
8:16or Michael Wilson. And a 12-team league. The idea that Emeka Abuka can be my wide receiver one and Jamo can be
8:22my wide receiver two, rather than Jamison Williams being my wide receiver one and DK being my wide receiver two.
8:28I like this a lot more, even though I love Jadarian Price.
8:31I didn't need that second or the third running back.
8:34Excuse me. I could have done a lot better here.
8:36So I like this move. This is my non-regret lineup.
8:39Other than that, I'd love to roll into the season with this kind of a squad.
8:43Can I just give you my takeaway from looking at that draft?
8:47Was that listed, like the left column was your picks one through five and the right column was six through 10 in sequential order?
8:53I did not see it. Okay. I think it was.
8:56I'm assuming it was, because that would be the most logical way to present.
9:00Yes, Drake May. How the Marvin Harrisons have fallen.
9:02Oh my gosh. It's still jarring to see Marvin Harrison Jr.
9:05as what I think was your ninth round. Yes.
9:07I mean, it's like a lesson. And, you know, it's one of those where it wasn't fantasy analysts and people in the
9:13media that were just hyping up Marvin Harrison Jr.
9:16I'll continue to go back to this. The Arizona Cardinals are the fourth pick in the draft.
9:20They could have easily moved back in the draft because that was the year in which, obviously, it won Caleb Williams, Jaden
9:26Daniels, Drake May, one, two, three, a quarterback. They could have fetched something for somebody that wanted to move up for a J.J.
9:33McCarthy, a Bo Nix, maybe a Michael Penix Jr.
9:35It seemed like probably J.J. McCarthy was the most likely quarterback the teams are going to move up for.
9:40Wisely, they did not, as you can tell, so far.
9:43The Cardinals were like, no, we have to hang tight because we need this player, Marvin Harrison Jr.
9:48Yeah. They bypassed offers to move down and that's how strongly they felt.
9:51So it wasn't just us who felt that way about Marvin Harrison Jr.
9:55It was the league. It was the Cardinals. And two years in, the investment has not been worth it at all.
10:01They just can't find a way to consistently feature the player to the point that, in fantasy drafts, he's going to the ninth round in the Superflex League.
10:08Crazy. Yeah. And not dead in the water yet, by any means.
10:11Year three. I remember when I started in this industry, it was like, I don't even bother with receivers till year three.
10:17Like, they're just useless. And unless they're maybe like the...
10:20Devontae Adams is a good player for him. Yeah, exactly.
10:23Yeah. Perfect example. Yeah. But that was common back then.
10:26That was the rule. It was the rule with like year two quarterbacks now.
10:29It's like year three receivers back then. So this is year three for him.
10:33It's going to be a big year to make a leap.
10:36It's going to be obviously a new offense. It's not going to be...
10:40It's not going to be the offense we saw with Arizona in the second half last year, where they were just like,
10:46we're going to throw it every time. And that's why a lot of stats were inflated for guys like Trey McBride, who
10:52made a big leap from Murray to Bursette, as well as, of course, Michael Wilson.
10:56And actually, Harrison had a big game with Bursette, but he just didn't play much because he was injured most of the season.
11:02And that was another reason Wilson was so good.
11:04So there's still hope here, and I'm kind of fascinated in what should be an upgraded offensive system here, if he can
11:10kind of get it going in year three. Very fascinating player.
11:13Mike, give me your quick takeaways from this draft.
11:16Yeah. Mine is just... Look, if you pick at the early portion of round one in Superflex, yeah, take a superstar quarterback.
11:22That's fine. But to your point that you just made, you don't have to force it after that because there's going to be a lot of value.
11:29You've got Patrick Mahomes at... I thought he was maybe the best value at the seventh pick in the third round.
11:35Bo Nix. I was going to say it, but I figured, you know...
11:38Actually, no. It's wrong because Bo Nix's a little ahead of him, and he went at 310.
11:43So, tease. Tease. Gotcha. Matthew Stafford, I took the 11th pick of the third round.
11:47So it's Mahomes, Nick Stafford in the third. Fifth round, Baker Mayfield.
11:50And I took Daniel Jones. Then Malik Willis goes the next pick.
11:53And even guys like Sam Darnold as your number two going in the sixth round of a Superflex.
11:58Just a decent floor play. Cam Ward, a breakout player.
12:01Again, a year two quarterback goes in the eighth round.
12:04So you have options. You don't have to force it.
12:06Because remember, you might think, I don't want Darnold as my two or Daniel Jones.
12:11But you're going to have superstars everywhere else because you address them early.
12:14And that's going to give you an edge. I want to use this as an opportunity for us to remind...
12:19Or maybe this is to all of us. Us on the show, viewers, listeners, producers.
12:24I think there's a good segment or even a full show that is the players I fear I'm just too low on.
12:29And Cam Ward would be one of those guys where I'm having a hard time jamming him up my rankings much higher than I currently have him.
12:37At the same time, I do think there's a world in which Cam Ward makes a huge leap.
12:42And I'm like, dang it. Why didn't I have Cam Ward as a top 15 quarterback going into the season?
12:47Obviously, if I felt completely convinced he would be inside my top 15 quarterback.
12:51But there's an interesting list of players I think you come up with.
12:54It's like, I don't have them ranked as high as I would like to.
12:58But I am simultaneously afraid that if I don't get some exposure to them, I'm going to have some major regret during the middle.
13:05Agreed. But the answer, the reason he's not higher is like, okay, once you reach a point where it's worth taking flyers
13:11like that, there's still so much talent at quarterback right now.
13:14Like in that 10 to 20 range, there's so many good options.
13:17Daniel Jones is like my quarterback 17. He's an established, really, like I think if he got the Daniel Jones fantasy level, I'd be pumped for Cam Ward.
13:25And Daniel Jones is at quarterback 17. As you know, managing maintenance, repair, and operations is never easy.

14:42I understand we have questions from the chat. Yeah, let's see what we got.
14:46A couple questions from the chat on the mock draft.
14:49First one here comes from Veronica. Veronica, one of the best, most loyal listeners.
14:53We love Veronica. How much did the draft position matter in selecting teams?
14:56Do you come up with a strategy or adapt to the other players?
15:00Based on where you're at in the draft, it does kind of make a difference.
15:04I go in with this mentality. It's not necessarily a strategy like I have to execute zero RB or I have to
15:10execute this thing, but I do go in with I would like to walk away with these players if I can, and
15:16then if the draft allows me, I take those players.
15:18If not, then I pivot, and it really is.
15:21I don't want to say that simple, but you just do enough research.
15:24That's the pivot if you need to for me.
15:27So I think both questions that Veronica are both factors that Veronica mentioned in the second portion of that question matter, which
15:33is like, do you have a strategy relative to your slot or do you adapt based off of the other drafters in the room?
15:39The slot matters to me in this way, and we've talked about this many times before, but let's reiterate it.
15:45If you're picking towards the end of round one, you're going to have big gaps between your every other round picks.
15:50Yep. If you want a player, you better just take them.
15:53Just don't worry about it because the worst feeling in a draft is when you overthink it.
15:58You think you can just let that player fall into your lap at your next pick, and then you miss him by two or three picks.
16:05So that's how the draft slot matters to me, but I'm always adapting.
16:09We talked about this live during the draft yesterday.
16:11At some point, you could do the math, right?
16:13If it's the third round and half of the teams have already taken two quarterbacks, you're not likely to see those six
16:19teams take a quarterback sometime again soon, and then you can kind of see, all right, I'm four picks away of those players ahead of me.
16:26Three of them, or two of them, have already taken two quarterbacks.
16:30I probably have a quarterback coming my way. If none of them have taken a quarterback, you better prepare for your best
16:36flex option to be your next pick. Always be adapting.
16:38ABA, hashtag ABA. That's a thing. It is? No, it's not.
16:41I just made that up. Oh, okay. You got to have some of that mental gymnastic ability.
16:46I'm always, always, always. Gymnastic ability? Yeah. That's a word, too.
16:49Yeah, we're just making stuff up. You know what I mean?
16:52We need a dictionary, a focused dictionary for this year.
16:55Yes. I have, I told you guys this yesterday.
16:57I was cleaning out my basement recently, and I found a pretty well-maintained set of encyclopedias.
17:01So I don't have a dictionary, but I do have encyclopedias.
17:04We need them here. Are those worth anything? They're probably not worth anything.
17:08Dang. I was hoping you guys were like, oh yeah, Encyclopedia Britannica's are worth $10,000 each, and you have eight of them.
17:14Are they gold-leafed? Yes. Then I'll come over to your house after this.
17:17I think someone was trying to send you a message.
17:20You're like, you need to start reading, man. Someone needs to get learning.
17:24Learn some words. Learn some words, bro. Next one comes from Maddo.
17:27Wants to know, if you had two leagues, would you try to avoid taking the same player in round one in both drafts?
17:33Are you guys diversifying? No. This is a great question, man.
17:36It is a great question. Not necessarily. We do more than two, so it's tricky because you can never really just get the same guys.
17:43I don't have a problem with it because you can look at it either way.
17:47You can look at it as, look, first of all, what's the goal?
17:51The goal is not to finish second or third or make the playoffs.
17:54It's to win the league, right? So if you get, if you're like, Pukunuku is my guy.
17:59That's who I want. He's the guy I want at that spot.
18:02And you take him in both and he's himself.
18:04You have a great chance to make the playoffs and win the championship.
18:08Obviously, if he gets hurt or something, you don't.
18:10But I mean, you can't really play that game, I don't think.
18:14I just take the best guy on the board.
18:16I would love, and we don't get to do this because we're in too many leagues.
18:20I'd love to be able to feel like I can just root for a fantasy player without the caveat of knowing that
18:26I'm also playing against him in about four of the leagues that I'm rooting for him.
18:31Right? So it's just like sometimes it would be nice to just have two versions.
18:35I get CeeDee Lamb in both leagues, and I'm all in on CeeDee Lamb, and I never have to root against him.
18:41All right. So if it's just two leagues, fair thoughts from you guys.
18:44But let's be honest. We're sickos. And so are a lot of the people that are watching or listening right now.
18:50And they probably play in a half dozen leagues or more.
18:53I hope so. This may well be to my detriment, but I've never finished worse than first in a fantasy league, so apparently it's working.
19:00Interesting. No reaction from Mike. Mike is just nonplussed.
19:02He's still tired. He's in one-team leagues. We know that.
19:05We've addressed this before. No, I am like, I have such gigantic FOMO if at the end of our many drafts that
19:11we do, and I would say the average number of leagues I play in is on the low end, 10, on the
19:17high end, probably 16, 17 in a given year.
19:19If there's a megastar I don't have, it gnaws at me.
19:22At the end of this year's draft cycle, I've come away with no—honestly, it's usually the guys at the very top, no
19:28B-Jean or Jameer Gibbs, because you have to get lucky enough to get the first or second pick to get them most likely.
19:34It's going to just bother me all season long.
19:37So I like to diversify the portfolio. I'm always trying to win each league, and I'm always roster constructing based off of
19:43who I took early in the draft, but I want exposure to every notable player, every single one.
19:48Yeah, fair enough. I mean, I don't think about it that way.
19:51Just like I don't spend much time looking at bye weeks, I'm just like— Oh, bye weeks?
19:56If he's at the top of my board, I'm taking the guy.
19:59Yeah, bye weeks I don't care about as much either, but dude, I definitely need some skin in the game.
20:04I will say this, best ball, certainly I'm more likely to diversify there.
20:08You don't want—early on, I was taking so much Jeremiah love.
20:11He was just coming, and I was like, all right, I have too much here.
20:15If it doesn't work out, I'm burnt in best ball.
20:18So it just kind of depends on your format as well.
20:20All right, last one we have here comes from Justin Stoddard.
20:23League I'm in has a draft order being set 30 minutes prior to the draft.
20:28What's the best way for you guys to prepare for this?
20:31That's what we just said, ABA. Always be adapting.
20:33Yeah, I think you need to do—part of this is do a bunch of mock drafts so that you can understand how
20:39the board is breaking, because that's as much preparation as you can do.
20:42You don't get the option, the luxury of knowing where you're going to be drafting from.
20:47So just get used to seeing how the board usually breaks, and that will help you identify value, because you're like, oh,
20:53usually Jeremiah love has gone eight picks before this, and it lets you see stuff like that.
20:57So I think just being able to dive in and be a part of the mock draft exercise is very valuable.
21:03Okay, so I do want people to chime in.
21:05If you're listening, send us a tweet. If you're watching right now, hit us up in chat or tweet at us, whatever you prefer.
21:12Maybe tomorrow we can run through a list of the best ways to determine your draft order.
21:17Oh, yes. Because, you know, if it's just automatically generated, the result is still important, but the process to get there is kind of uninspiring.
21:23So I want to know the best way you and your leagues decide the draft order.
21:28I like that field. I like it. We do a 40-yard dash every year in the FFNow League, which is why Mike
21:34has picked 12th each of the past few years.
21:36Last in every single year. Yes, that's true. Didn't we do an obstacle course for draft order one time and how'd that end?
21:42I don't remember what. Yowzer! Well, Mike, did you make it on TMZ?
21:46Yeah, I did. I was standing there healthy as you were walking like this.
21:50That's mean, Mike. I tried to get them to start 40 times on that, but they didn't do it.
21:55Yeah. Honestly, what a bad self-own that was for me.
21:58Damn it. It wasn't great. You set that up.
22:00It was almost too easy. I was like, should I do it?
22:03The answer is always. Always. Always. I mean, I did.
22:06All right, guys, let's talk about some training camp.
22:08Let's do it. Yeah, we're back, boys. Let's do it.
22:11Training camp is back 10 days into camp. What do we need to know?
22:15A couple of things that are going on. We honestly just brought a bunch of camp buzz.
22:20Yeah. Stuff that has caught our attention field. I'm going to start with you.
22:23What's one of the things that you've just been gnawing at you that you've seen from camp?
22:28By the way, just before we get into this, Keith reminds me that Tristan does a column.
22:33Yes. Tristan H. Cockroft. The H stands for happy.
22:35It's going to be available on ESPN.com. It's the best picks from each draft slot.
22:39Love that. So it's a helpful tool if you have one all the way through however many teams are in your leagues.
22:45All right. So it's 10-ish days into camp. Yeah.
22:47Some of the biggest stuff that we have heard from camp.
22:50We're going to scrape a little bit deeper than this.
22:53But to me, the single most important thing for fantasy that I've seen so far in training camp is that after an
22:59offseason where it looked like he might be out for four to six games, Malik Nabors looks like he's going to be available.
23:05Week one. That is my number one, too. Jordan Renan.
23:08All right. So we're all in lockstep there. Jordan Renan noted that barring a setback, Malik Nabors is expected to play week one against the Cowboys.
23:15If you care, he has owned the Cowboys in three games.
23:18Let's be honest. Most receivers have owned the Cowboys recently.
23:21Malik Nabors, I mean, if you knew you were going to have him available in week one, he'd be going much higher
23:27than where we have seen him routinely go, which I'm getting him in the middle of the third round frequently.
23:32This is just a great question. Why don't we look at a full screen really quickly?
23:37Because my question is, if you say by September 1, right now it's August 10th.
23:41Yep. He's going off the board. It's wide receiver 14, ADP of 38.
23:44That's the fourth round. That's insane. 38th. Yeah. So if we get to, let's say September 1st, we're like the week before the season starts.
23:51These are the wide receivers that are going ahead of Malik Nabors.
23:54How high do you think he would rise for you?
23:57Where would you want to be taking him? If you thought he was fully healthy heading into the season?
24:02I can tell you where I have him. I already have him ranked wide receiver nine.
24:06You're at nine? Yes. And it's right. It's like neck and neck with AJ Brown.
24:10But you're still hedging a little bit or no?
24:13No, that's like about as high as I'll go with Malik Nabors.
24:16Because I do think that he is more talented than some of the players ranked inside the first eight of wide receivers.
24:22And while I expect him to play in week one, I also think the Giants will be a little bit judicious with him.
24:28Not enough to move him much further down than wide receiver nine.
24:32Sure. But I think wide receiver nine is a good range for him.
24:35I think that's totally fair. I think Drake London's probably my measuring stick right there.
24:39I mean, this guy, Nabors, I mean, it's easy to forget how dominant he was in that first year.
24:44Yeah, he was. You want to do it? Well, rookie receiving record in terms of catch.
24:49I'm the stat guy. So yeah, you tell us.
24:51You tell us. 35% target share, over 11 targets per game.
24:54He was top 30 in scoring all but two weeks, which is just to have that floor is incredible, including 10 straight weeks to finish that rookie season.
25:02I mean, think about that floor you had in your lineup every week, not to mention the ceiling he delivered.
25:07Uh, what's interesting about him though, is not to mention coming off the injury.
25:11This is where there's, this could be good or bad.
25:14Some of this coming off the injuries, the bad part, but you have Jackson dart who has thrown ready for this three passes to him.
25:20It's crazy last year, just three passes. He's thrown in a regular season game.
25:24You have a new head coach. You have a new play caller.
25:27There's just a lot of changes in New York.
25:30So as we've seen, like I'm trying to think of an example or think Brian Thomas, right?
25:34Like we talked about this yesterday, very good connection with Mac Jones, not as much with Trevor Lawrence.
25:39So we don't really know what the dark to neighbors connection is.
25:43We don't know what this offense is going to look like necessarily.
25:46So there's more question marks than just, is he fully healthy?
25:49But I believe in the talent. So as far as I'm concerned, you get past the like St.
25:54Brown, Lamb, Jefferson, and then that's the line. I think London neighbors, Rasheed Rice, I think they're all right.
25:59And so you'd have him after Drake London, but ahead of Rasheed Rice, AJ Brown.
26:03I would say eight is where I would put him.
26:06I'd put him in that range. Because Rice has questions.
26:08Just for the podcast listeners at home that didn't get a chance to see the full screen, the wide receivers that are right next to him.
26:15We're talking about Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, George Pickens, Nico Collins, AJ Brown, and Rasheed Rice.
26:20I think I'd have him inside the top 10 and he'd probably be right in that eight to nine range.
26:25I'd probably have him ahead of Nico and right in that AJ Brown conversation, which I think is very close to where you've got him feel.
26:32And to be clear, I'm still hedging a little bit more in the rankings.
26:36I have him closer to 14 right now, but I'm monitoring this.
26:39So the more optimism there is, that'll be a full, because we don't know, you can be limited the first few weeks,
26:45you know, like I'm, I'm, I'm still trying to get a feel.
26:49We need no setbacks. We need, we still need to get to the start of the season.
26:53There's still reason to hedge a little bit. Maybe we can package these into one show, but another, I think very notable
26:59preseason topic is the biggest ranking changes you've seen from call it July 30th, August 30th.
27:03Cause things do, of course things change, right? Injuries, performances, what coaches have to say about things.
27:08Reporting from boots on the ground, like all this stuff impacts things.
27:11And Malik neighbors has a chance to be a riser in rankings.
27:15I like how you feel just live producing the show, like future shows, like, let's just write down.
27:19We got this show we're going to do on Tuesday.
27:22We're doing this show. We got this one. I'm high on these ideas.
27:26Yes. Yeah. Mike, give me one of your training camp buzzes.
27:29What is, what's one of the things about the table?
27:31So one of my favorite things to do. And like, again, we, we monitor social.
27:35We're seeing all the commentary from beat reporters and our fellow analysts out there.
27:39And some of them are, many of them are very exceptional.
27:42The industry is great in that regard. We've so much talent out there, but it's just funny to just see guys get hyped up out of nowhere.
27:50And sometimes like, you just have to really understand and pick your spots when it matters, because sometimes a guy will get
27:55hyped up for being the training camp star. And that it's like a day three rookie.
28:00And that just means like, they're going to make the team.
28:03Like they're doing so well. Sure. They're not going to be in the practice squad or get waved.
28:08They're making the 53. I was just going to say that.
28:11Cyrus Allen. Oh, I have a list here. So there's a couple of these guys who I think it's worth taking notes
28:17of other guys where it's just like, this is not worth your time.
28:20Okay. So, uh, stripling for San Francisco is an example of a player who it's worth paying attention to do because I would agree on that.
28:27So I got injured overall pick. Yeah. Mike Evans has had injury issues recently.
28:31He's 33 years old. Like this is a guy who the hype is worthwhile because this guy could start.
28:36He might be their leading target getter this year.
28:39And we know it's highly efficient offense. Jacoby lane in Baltimore.
28:42I'll have more. Even if he's exceptional, right? Is he going to get past Rashad Bateman to be the two?
28:47Maybe he does. And let's say he does that.
28:49Is that enough for him to be a starter in fantasy?
28:52Probably not. So I just give you a quick number to help answer that question for you.
28:57This will be, I'll get rid of one of my takeaways.
29:00Obviously it's a new offensive coordinator. So there's a chance that things change, but I still don't think this offense is going
29:06to limit Lamar Jackson entirely as a runner. During Lamar's starting tenure, his top pass catcher, top wide receiver has been inside the top 23 once.
29:13That was actually Zay Flowers last year as wide receiver 13.
29:16The highest, the wide receiver two for the Ravens has ranked with Lamar as the starter.
29:20Wait, let me guess on this. 37th. 46th. That was Rashad Bateman two seasons ago.
29:24Oh yeah. That's right. Yeah. It's just, you know, you just take away some passing volume because Lamar is going to run.
29:30Yep. You have the most durable, best power running back.
29:33Yep. Right now, at least of the last 20 years, probably in Derrick Henry.
29:37Like when you run the football, it chews up the clock.
29:40The game moves faster. Like there's just probably fewer overall plays available.
29:43So while Jacoby Lane is having a great camp to the point that our Jamison Hensley said this, and I quote, in
29:4927 years of covering the Ravens, I'm not sure I've seen a rookie have a trading camp quite like wide receiver Jacoby Lane.
29:55Yeah. But that's my point. Like even if it all goes great and he's the number two receivers, that enough to be a fantasy starter?
30:02Probably not. I would say he is like the definition of like a 14th to 16th round pick at this point.
30:08Yeah, exactly. So late round flyer, but that's it.
30:10And there's other examples. Ted Hurst is another one.
30:13Generally, he's the future ex of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but you have a Mecca Buka.
30:17You have Chris Godwin. You have Jalen McMillan, Tez Johnson.
30:20I concur there. Kate Ott is going to get a couple of kids.
30:23Like there's just too many mouths to feed. Trey Harris, same kind of thing with the Chargers.
30:28You still have Quentin Johnson and you obviously you still have Ladd McConkie, the tight ends, brother mouths to feed.
30:33You're not going to like this one. Kayshawn Booty, same thing.
30:36I mean, they went out and got Romeo Dobbs and AJ Brown.
30:40They're not just going to chill while Kayshawn Booty's out there.
30:43He'll have some big catches. He'll have some big plays.
30:45But if he wasn't delivering last year in fantasy, you're going to tell me they're going to bring in Brown and Dobbs
30:51and then he's going to be a fantasy. No, no chance.
30:54Pat Bryant, same thing. Waddle and Sutton. Malachi Fields, maybe if he wins the two, but probably not.
30:59Brandon Thompson's getting hype. He's the real deal. I saw a quote the other day.
31:03He looks sure as a returner and a depth guy, but he's not going to he's not going to make much noise.
31:09And the last one I will, I will say this one could happen if there's an injury, but Colby Young is the fourth rounder for the Bengals.
31:16Light to Mazda. Only if, if, if Chaser Higgins get hurt, but that's not a draftable guy.
31:21So these are just like every day you see them.
31:24There's a report every day of a guy like this.
31:26You have to see through and decide, look, does he even have a path to fantasy relevance in almost all of these cases?
31:33And these are guys that have got a lot of hype.
31:36The answer's probably not. The disrespect to not even mention Isaac Teslaw is really.
31:39I don't know. I actually, he's one of the few I saw a negative report on.
31:44And I was going to say that. Almost unheard of.
31:47Dan Campbell came out and said, he's got to do more than just make one handed catches.
31:51He's going to block. He's going to block his butt off, but he's got to do more than that.
31:56He's not a guy that I think is a sleeper necessarily, even though I love that Lions offense.
32:01What do you got? Can I ask you a question about the Vikings?
32:05Maybe. Yes. Depends what the question is. I give, I grant permission.
32:08JJ McCarthy was really bad last year. Yeah. And we're 10 days into camp and we haven't named a starter.
32:13No surprise. Is that a no surprise thing to you?
32:16They haven't named a starter, but they've named a starter.
32:19How does that work? Why would they not name a starter then field?
32:22It's a competition. Why is it a, how is it a competition?
32:26Because of Kyler Murray. I mean, we have what?
32:28How many more weeks until the games begin? Yeah.
32:30But weeks, if you're Kyler Murray, you came in to start for this football team.
32:35Like it's not, it shouldn't be a competition with how bad JJ McCarthy was last year.
32:39Remember how far Kyler Murray had fallen, right? I mean, the guy got cut and they had one of the biggest dead money cap charges ever.
32:46Like Kyler was kind of radioactive in the world of the NFL.
32:49He's there making the minimum. Like I think Kyler went there with an understanding that he has an awesome chance of being the week one starter.
32:56He's going to have to stay sharp to keep that job throughout the rest of the season.
33:01I'm not surprised. Like I would say it's pretty rare that we see a team name a starter in a true competition
33:07this early in camp absent when it's the veteran.
33:09Ironically, he's in this situation again. Jacoby Brissett ahead of the rookie drafted quarterback like Drake May and now Carson Beck.
33:15I'm not surprised by it. Actually, one of my takeaways is that Kyler Murray is the likely QB one.
33:20Really? Yeah. I mean, I think that the Vikings want to see this process play out.
33:24Like if if Kyler, you know, craps the bed for the next 10 days, then JJ probably does have some life if he plays well.
33:31It seems like he just has to the idea that he hasn't been named the starter.
33:36I understand all the things that you're saying. Yeah.
33:38JJ McCarthy was just so bad that to feel like Kyler hasn't shown enough already is like, does that make me have
33:44to be nervous about what Kyler is bringing to the field right now?
33:47Are you guys nervous? I am not nervous. I think from the Vikings perspective, it's this it's if you are like, okay,
33:53Kyler's just the guy you're accepting quarterback purgatory, right?
33:56As a franchise for a while, just for a little while, you don't have your long-term franchise quarterback, which is just massive in this game.
34:03There's nothing more important than hitting on that player.
34:05However, if you feel like, okay, we know what we have in Kyler Murray.
34:09Here's the, here's the line. And JJ McCarthy is able to eclipse that.
34:12That's great news for that franchise. That means, okay, this guy was a young quarterback in the league.
34:17He missed his whole first year, struggled in his set in his first de facto NFL season.
34:22But now we made a big leap and suddenly he actually seems to be better than Kyler Murray.
34:27His trajectory is going up. This is huge for our franchise.
34:30That's why you don't name him yet. I think you just, you just hope he improves, but I don't, I don't think it's so.
34:36I don't run an NFL franchise. The part why that feels weird to me is if you wanted to bring in a veteran with the thought J.J.
34:44McCarthy, J.J. McCarthy was going to continue to make that like leap slowly, but we're getting there.
34:48Then I don't think that I would want to bring in a guy that is still clearly going to try to be the starter.
34:55And I'm going to have some feelings if I'm not the guy, I think that an older quarterback would be a much better option.
35:01But who is? So I guess we have to go back in time and go to March and say, all right, Kyler
35:07Murray, by the way, making $1.35 million pennies for an NFL quarterback, which is a crazy thing to say about $1.35 million in general.
35:14Who would you have preferred the Vikings pursued this off season?
35:17Her cousins. I mean, I think you, I think Kyler is them aiming higher.
35:20A team that has a big defense. Aiming higher for what?
35:23But if you want J.J. McCarthy to be the guy, then you're not aiming high on Kyler.
35:28I think that's. Here's, I think the untold part of this, Daniel.
35:31I don't think they believe in J.J. McCarthy anymore.
35:34That's. So that's where I'm at. If they don't believe in him, then why have they not just come out and said, Kyler, you're the guy.
35:41You're hedging. I think you have to with a team that's built that way, too, especially a guy like Kyler, who has
35:47kind of evolved into, yes, he can run, but more conservative.
35:50Like he's been better about just getting the ball in the hands of his skill guys.
35:54So it kind of fits. But you still want McCarthy motivated and you want him to be the guy you drafted.
36:00Like you hoped you had when you would have when you drafted him.
36:03No team that's in a competition. And right now, obviously the Browns are in a competition.
36:08The Falcons are. The Vikings are. Sort of the Cardinals, but not really.
36:11Like no one's named a starter that's in a true competition.
36:14So to me, I'm not bothered by it. I think J.J.
36:17McCarthy. I think at this point, the best pathway forward for J.J.
36:20McCarthy is a bad pathway for the Vikings, which is that Kyler starts.
36:24He plays so poorly and they have no choice but to roll out J.J.
36:28McCarthy. But this is always a dynamic that we have in play.
36:31What does that mean for Justin Jefferson? If they have to make the move to J.J.
36:35McCarthy because it's that bad. I don't think that good quarterback play or bad quarterback play.
36:40I'm going to screw this up, but like Justin Jefferson can still have bad quarterback play and be a great fantasy player.
36:46Like the guy was dominant. Atrocious. Yeah. Well, I just mean, it can be atrocious as long as I throw the football to Justin Jefferson.
36:52That's right. I mean, like it wasn't good. But like the year in which they were trotting out Nick Mullins and Jaron
36:58Hall, like it wasn't like it was great quarterback.
37:01Correct. But they got the ball to Justin Jefferson.
37:03That's just an outlier. I think they're just set up to be about a 500 team.
37:08I just think that with Kyler. You know, I think he's serviceable, but it's just a great future of the franchise.
37:13I didn't mean to make us linger on Kyler Murray for so long.
37:17It's okay. No charges offensive lineman is hurt right now.
37:19Love that. Huge. That's huge. Yes. Right. And I saw a chart recently and I'm totally screwing up.
37:24Like who is. We'll talk about that in a second.
37:27Which teams have seen the most attrition or change amongst their offensive line?
37:31And the chargers are near the top of that list because of two players returning from injury and Joe Walt and also
37:37Rashawn Slater and then some changes they made personnel wise.
37:39And it's not just two players. There's like two like.
37:42Yeah. Like all pro level tackles. Yeah. You know, they drafted a Jake Slaughter in the second round.
37:47Like they signed Cole Strange. Like it's good. Yeah.
37:49Like I wouldn't want it if, you know, if, if the, whoever you thought with the Rams changed out a bunch of
37:55offensive linemen, I'd be like, that's not great. The Rams had a good offensive line last year.
38:00The chargers, everybody should have been under evaluation. Yep.
38:02That's really good. Good. So it just, it, for as great as, as, as my hope is for this offense, the offensive
38:08line is the way in which the wheels could fall off fastest.
38:12Yes. They are talking about Mike McDaniel had a quote yesterday, which now what Tuesday he added on Monday about like bad news for fantasy owners.
38:19Like everybody is going to eat, you know, all three running backs are going to play a real role.
38:24Um, many people have already dug up comments from Mike McDaniel two years ago when he talks about how there are four
38:30starters in the backfield and then Devon HM went on to become RB five for the season.
38:34Um, I still think of Martin Hampton is the guy.
38:37I just said the Keaton Mitchell's role will be real enough to bite away at some of Hampton's value, but for the
38:43overall wellness of the offense, the fact that no charges, offensive lineman is hurt.
38:47Good news. Hampton was hurt by it last year.
38:49He had 124 carries last season that are Martin Hampton.
38:52He had just three explosive runs. For a six foot two, 220 pound back who runs four, four, four.
38:57Like that's not a good rate. And I think a lot of it was chalked up to just how bad the offensive line was.
39:04Are we talking about that running back commentary? Do we have any further thought?
39:07We talked about, uh, Hampton yesterday. Yeah. I mean, so he's five, I'm 12 or 13 on Hampton.
39:12You're sort of in the mind. I think I said yesterday.
39:15So kind of in that range. So you're not adjusting based on comment.
39:19Yeah. Um, we have a board bet on CMC versus Amari and Hampton.
39:22For the season. You have CMC Hampton. Who has who?
39:25I have Hampton. I have CMC. Okay. We're going to talk about it.
39:29We'll talk about it. We'll get into, uh, the thoughts on that.
39:32Interesting. Yeah. Uh, I love that though. This is huge for fantasy because it's not just Hampton.
39:36Everyone. I mean, Justin Herbert should be better. Lad McConkie should be better.
39:40That's that will be massive for the whole. Yeah.
39:42I still, uh, I'm not, I don't think I'm moving the needle much on Hampton.
39:46Maybe it would break a tie here. They stuff the comments you're saying.
39:50But I think the bottom line is if like last year when both guys were healthy, it was, I mean, it was Hampton.
39:56I mean, they wanted to go to him as their feature back.
39:59You took him in the first round. I still would say he's very clearly the better player.
40:04Of course. He's the best. But now, so I'm not worried about him.
40:08And yeah, Keaton Mitchell's going to have a role in the offense.
40:11We already know that that's already baked in. So I, yeah, I'm not super worried about it.
40:15Keaton Mitchell is fields. It's Kalen Balazs for this season.
40:18No, but I think I have him ranked like RB 49.
40:21That's exactly right. Yes. It has very little to do with the standalone value of Keaton Mitchell.
40:26It has a lot to do with just, if you're trying to decide whether a Marion Hampton or Derrick Henry should be
40:32your second round pick, a nice way to break that tie for me is take Derrick Henry because of Keaton Mitchell now
40:38playing for the Chargers, not the Ravens. Fair enough.
40:40Not that Mitchell did much in Baltimore anyway, but it's just like, I think he's got, you know, I think he's going to have, it's not even upside.
40:48I just think he's going to have a role.
40:50Like again, like they didn't pay him $6 million to just be a special teams guy.
40:55Oh, you're right. Right. So like if he's playing 35% of the snaps, whatever, if he's playing 25% of the offensive snaps
41:00and Keamani Vidal is playing 20% of the offensive snaps, a Marion Hampton at 55% of the snaps is different than a
41:06Marion Hampton at 65% of the snaps. I will be writing Mike McDaniel, a strongly worded letter.
41:11If a Marion Hampton is playing only 55% of the snaps, it's possible.
41:15Mike, what do you got? All right. Mine is the Washington offense.
41:18I think that is one that is obviously had a lot of news so far in training camp.
41:23We had a major injury. So first you're like, Oh, this could be a problem for this offense with Laramie Tunsell going
41:29out for maybe the whole regular season, but certainly a big chunk.
41:32A while. One of the best left tackles in the NFL.
41:35I, in my unit grades, I dropped Washington to 32nd with their current offensive line system.
41:39That could change a little bit in the NFL.
41:42There are 32 teams. Yeah. So they fell to dead last.
41:45They're already shaky. But Tunsell is one of the best tackles in the NFL.
41:48So that is a huge loss. However, just moments later, a couple of days later, they signed Stefan Diggs.
41:54So that upgrades the offense a little bit. I think at the bottom line is I'm not moving the needle much for Jaden Daniels.
42:00So I'm a little concerned about the offensive line, but his supporting cast is better than what he has had.
42:06Yep. And obviously adds a lot of value with his legs, which is huge.
42:09Also, as part of this is JCM hype a little bit.
42:12Can this guy be involved in the passing game is the question.
42:16And that is huge for him because if he, if Krosky Merritt is not involved in the passing game, he's just not
42:22going to be a starter in fantasy. And he wasn't last year.
42:25And that really cost him. Rashad White is obviously there and going to be involved in that backfield.
42:30But I'm very interested to see if they try to feature JCM in the backfield or in the, in the passing game
42:36during the preseason a little bit, because if we can get to up hit 30, 40 catches, there could be something there.
42:42But so far, the hype is stronger. Interesting. Yeah, I'm low.
42:45I'm low. I have not adjusted my JCM rankings yet.
42:47I have a heart. I mean, they were like totally disinterested in throwing the football.
42:51I know. Like it was, he was one of those guys.
42:54We used to see this with the Patriots all the time where it was like, you had the running back that played
43:00on running downs and you had the running back to put in the passing downs and say whatever you want about Rashad
43:06White as a runner and his efficiency. He'll hit you up on Instagram if that happens.
43:11That's a callback to when he DM'd like angrily a few years ago.
43:14Yeah. He is an effective pass catching running back.
43:17So it wouldn't surprise me if he does maintain that role in DC and JCM is still the guy that, you know, the, the traditional running downs.
43:24He is the man. I got one more. Please go for it.
43:27I'm just really pumped that Daniel Jones looks like he's been playing well and looks healthy.
43:32That has been fantastic. Not just for Daniel Jones, because he's one of those late round quarterbacks that you can wait on,
43:37but I think for the offense as well, you look at Michael Pittman and what he has done over the last five
43:43years in Indianapolis, the dude has been a target monster, at least 111 targets for five straight seasons.
43:48And now he's going to leave this offense. And we already know that when you look at it, we're going to have the full screen up here.
43:56It'll be able to see all the things that Michael Pittman did.
43:59111, 110, 154, 142, 129 ton of volume. Yeah.
44:01He was wide receiver, 20 or higher in four of the last five seasons.
44:05So he is getting a ton of production as well.
44:08And now they signed Alec Pierce to a bunch of money started on the pop list.
44:12Still there. And we're going to see what that means.
44:15Cause it's also their thing. They're kind of talking about a role change with him.
44:19Well, you know, role changes. This is the time of year when it would be really valuable to be out there.
44:25If you're going to have a role change, to be honest, Josh Downs also has a groin injury.
44:30We've never seen him be the alpha, the number one.
44:32I feels like Tyler Warren last year who had 111 targets.
44:35Would it be crazy to you guys to say that he has upwards of 140 to 150 targets this season?
44:41That's a big number, but no, um, that's like an extra two targets per game.
44:45Yeah. Yeah. I think that seems high to me.
44:47Let me see what I have him at. Um, it would seem like Alec Pierce and Josh Downs, like remaining on the sideline would lead to that.
44:55Um, it would also include, well, so they throw inertia behind those two.
44:58It also would require some inertia. Like the Colts feel like a prime make a trade for a wide receiver.
45:03There's no, but Ashton Doolin and who else is there?
45:06Who else is the wide receiver? Nick Westbrook. Right.
45:09Like the Nick Westbrook reference. You're not doing that.
45:11Like we're throwing the ball to Tyler Warren. And by the way, I talked about the ADOT last week.
45:16I like, this is just a prime situation where yesterday I said, you know what?
45:20Because of the Luther burden thing, I might, I might move Colson Loveland finally ahead of Tyler Warren.
45:25You change your mind. When I look back in on this, I'm all, I think Tyler Warren with what his target share
45:31could be in this offense could finish as the tight end one in fantasy with the volume that he's potentially going to get from Daniel Jones.
45:38And he's going to carry the ball. Could get a rushing touchdown mix in there as well.
45:43Um, but I'm a little mad because you are talking right now about two of my most drafted players.
45:48Michael, Michael Pittman is my most drafted player. I love Michael Pittman.
45:51By far. Really? Rogers also can't throw the ball more than five yards down.
45:55I mean, Pittman going in the eighth round. I mean, last year I loved him and he was going in the 10th round.
46:01Now he's only moving up to the eighth after a certain other certified terrific season.
46:05And Tyler Warren's my value target at tight end.
46:08He's been going after at that tier all year long.
46:10So, all right. Well, Matt, you right now for stealing.
46:13Sorry about that. Guys, but, um, I'm just pumped that Daniel Jones is healthy because we'd be having a different conversation if
46:19there was a different quarterback under center. No offense, Field Jates, but I am just cause nevermind.
46:24No, just cause you know why. What's happening? Cause of the Anthony Richardson under center.
46:28Oh yeah. I was the only, that was out of the game.
46:31Yeah. Speaking of guys having negative training camp reports.
46:33I mean, he's on the, there's maybe like three guys.
46:36I can't get a bag of peanuts for him right now.
46:39No, it's tough. No, no, no. It's tough. All right.
46:42My last one's a deeper cut. I like deep cuts.
46:45I just, and I'll make it quick here. Mekhi Lemon's been dealing with an injury for Philly and his absence, first of
46:51all, puts like a little bit of cold water on the idea of him being like a, an early star for the Eagles.
46:57And then second of all, Dontavia and Wicks, this kind of goes hand to hand, has looked really sharp.
47:02There was a time in which Nick Sirianni invoked some Keenan Allen when describing Dontavia and Wicks game.
47:07You know, this precise route runner, reliable hands, middle of the field Maven.
47:10There are worse guys to be compared to than Keenan Allen.
47:13And I think coaches tend to do this. Like obviously Nick Sirianni knows that Keenan Allen's a future Hall of Famer.
47:19Dontavia and Wicks is just, has like yet to be more than a wide receiver three, but there are shades of what
47:25he brings to the table that remind you of what Keenan Allen brought to the table, maybe still brings to the table.
47:31And so Dontavia and Wicks has emerged as sort of like the late round Philly flyer that I like as much as any other wide receiver.
47:38Totally fine with that. I feel similar to Lemon in that I haven't drafted him really at all because this is, you
47:44had former Heisman Trophy winning super, maybe we don't go as far as superstar, but he's a star, Devontae Smith, right?
47:50Yeah. He was kind of in the shadow of AJ Brown, which is kind of my point.
47:54He was kind of like under the radar, but a very good player.
47:58As far as number two receivers go, he is excellent.
48:01One of the best in the NFL. And yet he kind of struggled like to, he was like hanging on as a
48:06wide receiver to usually in the wide receiver, three conversation points per game.
48:10When AJ Brown was out there, it took that level of player just to hang on to borderline wide receiver, two numbers.
48:16And now he, you know, AJ Brown's gone. Smith moves into that one spot, which is good for him.
48:21But is there enough target volume to support another wide receiver?
48:24That's the question. It is a new offense, but it's still Jalen Hurts.
48:28And he's still going to be, he's still going to run the ball out.
48:31You still have Saquon Barkley. Dallas Goddard's going to have a 20% target share.
48:35There are, I think it's going to be hard to get consistent fantasy production from the second receiver in that offense this year.
48:41That's just my thought. Late round flyer for me for that reason.
48:45And I'll say this last thing I'll say, nobody knows that offense on the roster better than Don Tavian Wicks.
48:50He's the guy that came over from, maybe they have a couple other guys that were scrap heap type players, but the
48:56biggest packer to change teams to Philadelphia this off season is Don Tavian Wicks.

51:08I love it where we just ask you, what's wrong with your brain?
51:11I'm not that high. I'm not that high. I'm not like wildly high.
51:15I'm so high. I'm so high. I'm so high on love.
51:18Me too. I'm high as well. You are so high today.
51:21Oh, God. I was high and not sleeping is what I was.
51:24Is that what it was? Yeah. I hope that makes the chat laugh as much as it makes us laugh.
51:30That was fun. It was a fun time. Well done.
51:32Mike, you got a couple of rankings that we just think are absolutely ridiculous.
51:36You were clearly using the ganja when this happened.
51:39Some of them. Some of them. You two should be debating because there are some players you guys brought up who I'm
51:44like, I have the same ranking, but the one of you is like way off.
51:49All right. Listen, anytime we can make Mike the foil.
51:51That's exactly. That's what that's what I can defend everything.
51:54Bring it. Well, clearly. All right. I, it looks like you were on vacation when you did a lot of his ranking.
52:00So I want to start with this. Justin Herbert.
52:02This is me. Got him at quarterback six. You've got him at quarterback 14.
52:06That's not even the same zip code. You want to defend your honor.
52:10Yeah, let's we've heard fields argument. I want to hear it again, but I want to hear yours first.
52:15Why are you so out on Justin Herbert? Yeah.
52:17So let's think about last year. First of all, we'll start there.
52:21Okay. So inside the top 10 and pass attempts, passing yards, touchdowns, very productive.
52:24And he ran a lot to fifth and carry second and rushing yards among quarterbacks career highs there.
52:29So that all sounds pretty good, right? Yeah. Yeah.
52:32He finished 10th at quarterback and fantasy points last year and had five top five fantasy weeks.
52:36No other finishes better than 13th. So it wasn't even with those pretty big passing and rushing numbers.
52:41He didn't quite get to a ceiling where he was delivering consistently elite numbers.
52:45So there's that. Now, after last season, if you look at it on a points per game basis, he has finished between 11th and 15th.
52:52Each of the past four seasons, 11th to 15th, each of the past four seasons, he has one finish in his entire career better than eighth at quarterback.
52:59So we've seen him have an elite season one time so far this season.
53:03I know that the offensive line is very healthy, which is obviously good for me.
53:07The new play, a play caller in Mike McDaniel, McDaniel had some success currently in Miami, but not all the time.
53:13He's not employed as their head coach anymore. And the offense was a disaster last season and was kind of all over the map while he was there.
53:20I think Justin Herbert with how deep quarterback is, is a fringe quarterback one, but I don't think he should be ranked sixth where you have him six.
53:28There's just too many safer, better, more polished, more productive options.
53:31A quarterback. I am so high on Justin Herbert.
53:34I can see that. But like, but like, so what you said is fair about how the offense last year was not good.
53:40That was a Tua Tungo-Vailoa problem. Like the quarterback was the issue in Miami.
53:44I do not believe the system or the person calling the plays was the issue.
53:48The two years prior to Mike McDaniel showing up in Miami, the dolphins were 27th and yards per play, third in yards per game.
53:54And those two years after he got there, when guys actually stayed healthy and performed capably, they were first in yards per
54:00play and third in yards per game. Like this is just a system that is sort of a fantasy cheat code.
54:06So we can certainly be, you know, agree to disagree.
54:08I've used the stat a couple of times. He had seven games last year, did Herbo with 225 passing yards and 30 or more rushing yards.
54:16Versatile player. Great system. I'm in. By the way, better offensive line in LA or Miami.
54:20That would be LA. All right. And better skill position players around the quarterback.
54:24I mean, by the end of last season, it got really thin.
54:27It was real bad. But at the beginning of last year, a Tyreek Hill, Jalen Waddell, Devon HN skill group is better
54:33than what I think he has to work with right now in LA.
54:36So you have just a quick fire. Do you finish that?
54:39No, no, no. That's it. I just, I, I'm more on field side than yourself.
54:43Okay. But he, yeah, you're at nine. I saw, but you have him at six.
54:48So you have Alan Daniels, Jackson, May, Hertz, Burrow.
54:50You have him over one of those guys. Burrow.
54:52Yeah. You have him over Burrow. Yep. Wow. All right.
54:55This is going to be great. This is good.
54:58Fair enough. Good tracking here. Yeah. Wow. All right.
55:00Let's keep it rolling. Think about a board bet or something.
55:03What's wrong with your brain when you are thinking about Christian McCaffrey?
55:06Cause I thought you were the numbers guy, right?
55:09And this is what I'm having a hard time understanding.
55:11Christian McCaffrey is 30. I've heard my friend, Mike Clay talk about 30 year old running backs incessantly over the last years.
55:17He also had 450 touches last season. I heard my friend, Mike Clay talk about how you want to fade heavy workloads after historically large seasons.
55:24And yet you've got CMC as RB3. So as the number guy that has made this argument before, why are you still in on CMC?
55:31Is that because you have them at 3-2 field?
55:34He also does. Okay. All right. That's what it is.
55:36But here's this thing. Do you guys see this?
55:39Like these things that float around once in a while, there's only a few of them.
55:43And in fantasy, they're stars. They float around. What are they?
55:46You know what they are? They're just gently gliding through the air.
55:49They're unicorns. Oh. They're these things called unicorns. And very few of them.
55:53Okay. In the NFL. Even in NFL history, these guys generally go to the hall of fame, in fact.
55:58Gotcha. And I would say Christian McCaffrey fits the bill, much like Derrick Henry as a unicorn at the running back position.
56:04And yes, I've done a lot of analysis on this during this offseason about age curves for running backs.
56:09And obviously, a lot of these guys will start to fall off.
56:12And we've seen it with Dalvin Cook and Joe Mixon and Aaron Jones in recent years.
56:17But guys like Henry and McCaffrey can seem to defy it.
56:20And I think we saw that a little bit last year, too, with McCaffrey, whose efficiency was not good.
56:25He infamously didn't have, what, a 20-yard run until week 18 or 17, something like that.
56:29Yards per carry was down. But he was still number one at running back in.
56:33Snaps, routes, touches, targets, catches, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns.
56:36And of course, the big one, fantasy points. And here's the thing.
56:39When McCaffrey is healthy, which he's been three of the last four years, it's easy to forget that because he's had these
56:45years where he's missed a lot of time. But three last four years, he's played 16-plus games.
56:50But in his career, if you look at her, let me rephrase that because we're going to exclude his rookie year when
56:56he was still kind of limited getting used to the NFL in Carolina.
56:59But his last five healthy seasons, when he's played 16-plus games, he's finished third, first, second, first, and first in fantasy points
57:05per game at the running back position. The guy's a unicorn.
57:08He's still in this Kyle Shanahan-led offense. He's going to be heavily involved as a rusher and, of course, as a receiver.
57:14I think he, again, I can't say anything more than it's impossible to knock him into projections too far because he is
57:20just so heavily involved and a unicorn at the position.
57:23So I'll give you Gibbs. I'll give you Robinson.
57:25But after that, Taylor, A. Chan, Cook, those kind of guys, I'm still going McCaffrey.
57:29Yeah, good. Cosign. Great thoughts there from Mike. Crazy.
57:32That's all I got. Crazy that after you watched what happened to Saquon Barkley last year, you're just going to go right back in.
57:38They're not the same guy. I agree. I know they're not.
57:41McAfrey's way better. McAfrey's older. I know. I agree with you.
57:44Which is wild to say about Barkley. With a bigger injury history.
57:47Over the last couple of years. I don't think it's going to be better.
57:51And it hasn't mattered. He's just, he's the best.
57:54I think the thing that, to me, the ultimate card that he has to play.
57:58He's the best receiving running back in the history of the NFL.
58:01100%. Like, it is, like, last year there were seven players that had 100 catches and seven receiving touchdowns.
58:06Jamar Chase, Amon Ross, St. Brown, Puka Nakua, Chris Olave, Offensive Player of the Year, Jackson Smith and Jigba and Trey McBride, and Christian McCaffrey.
58:13That's insane. So, to me, the only way, like, I just, I just don't believe that if Christian McCaffrey is available for
58:1917 games, he will be anything lower than RB3.
58:21Yeah, and there's not, like, there was major investment by the Niners to be like, we have to roll this guy's rollback.
58:27Listen, they took a running back in the third round.
58:30Yeah, but they do that every year. Because Cal Channing can't help him.
58:33Yes, they do that every year. I'm not worried about that.
58:36And then the guy gets healthy scratch by week two and just barely playing.
58:40That's it. I'm out. I'm done. For those reasons, I'm out.
58:43Let's talk about Jeremiah. I will say this really quick.
58:46McCaffrey, probably not finishing RB10. Like, he's either, unless he misses, like, two, unless he misses four games.
58:51Exactly, yeah. Either he's going to be hurt and miss the season, or...
58:54Saquon finishes RB12 last year after being RB1. Like, the thing is that, like, the things that Saquon needed to be a
59:00top five running back are not as repeatable as what CMC needs.
59:04Saquon needed explosive runs and touchdown upside. CMC, that was not going to be as likely to repeat because explosive runs are hard to repeat.
59:10Okay. And then touchdowns are hard to repeat when your quarterback is the greatest tush pusher in the history of the game.
59:16CMC, like, how is this offense operating if CMC has not seen seven targets a game?
59:21Great question. Yeah. That's a great question, Field. I'll let you guys draft them.
59:24Yeah, that's a great question. Yeah. All right. What's the next one that we have here?
59:29Jeremiah Love. Jeremiah Love. Come on here. So maybe I'll start the bearish case and Mike can make the bullish case.
59:34Sure. Go for it. It's pretty straightforward for me.
59:37Touch of scar tissue from last year with Ashvin Jensie.
59:40I'm just legit concerned about how bad this offensive infrastructure is going to be.
59:43I'm concerned about the rushing... Like, the guys averaging sub-four yards per carry are going to have a hard time being fantasy monsters.
59:50I like some of the players that are... I just really like all the running backs that are ahead of Jeremiah Love.
59:56It's a very close cluster of guys from, I would call it RB7 to RB14.
60:00I have Jeremiah Love at the bottom of that tier.
60:02I'm concerned about the offensive line. And I am concerned about Tyler Algier taking valuable goal-to-go touches from him.
60:07Yeah. First of all, I agree that that tier is very deep.
60:11So I can't crush you for having him... It starts with Derrick Henry for me and goes all the way to Jeremiah Love.
60:17I have Cook down to like Brees Hall. It's like 6-15.
60:20The projection difference is like 6-8 points for all of them.
60:23So it's hard for me to be super aggressive on this.
60:26But the bottom line is the guy is just one of the best running back prospects we've seen in a very long time.
60:32And the history of these guys drafted this early is outstanding.
60:35I'm going to use this stat 100 times over the next month.
60:38Each of the past nine running backs that were selected in the top 12 of the NFL draft finished top 12 in fantasy points as a rookie.
60:46Worst case scenario we saw last year with Ashton Gentry.
60:48And he still finished in the top 12. We would expect Love to be a better player.
60:53And to your point on Algier, he had over 600 yards and eight touchdowns last year.
60:57And B. John Robinson had over 2,000 yards and was a number two running back.
61:01The year before, he was third with Algier who had similar stats, just not as many touchdowns.
61:06So I'm not really worried about Tyler Algier. And I don't think James Conner has a role in this offense.
61:11I think he goes elsewhere. What about my Trey Benson shares in Dynasty?
61:15Is that also gone? Well, at least he didn't trade a two and a three for him last year when he took
61:21over as the lead back for Conner. It's funny because there's going to be a lot of movement in NFL rosters over
61:27the next 20 days before rosters are shaped to 53 players.
61:30And the big storylines are not going to be who the Cardinals keep at running back.
61:34But people like us are very invested in how that running back.
61:38I mean, Conner we love as a player. Like, I hope he goes somewhere and can play this year.
61:43It's not going to happen in Arizona. It's just not if the other guys are healthy.
61:47Yeah. The tricky one there. He's a heart and soul guy.
61:50No doubt. So much of the Cardinals that you trade him away.
61:53What does that look like? Mike, let's talk about Gary Wilson.
61:56Can't quit him, Mike. What's going on with you and this kid?
61:59Yeah. Can't get him. He was outstanding last season.
62:02First of all, he's been a target hog throughout his career so far.
62:05I know that the quarterback issues in New York have hurt him, but he was even last year with Justin Fields there.
62:11He was off to a really good start with second in target share for touchdowns, 14.2 fantasy points per game.
62:17And you look at Geno Smith here. I think this helps him.
62:20I think Gino Smith is not the future quarterback for this franchise, but I think he could hold down the fort this season.
62:26If you look at his three consecutive years as a starter in Seattle, 2022, Tyler Lock and DK Metcalf, both top 16 fantasy receivers, 2023 Metcalf was 21.
62:34Lockett was 31. He lost a little because JSN, that was his first year on the team.
62:39He was a top 50 receiver. And then 2024, of course, JSN makes the leap to the top 10.
62:44Metcalf missed a couple of games, finished 32nd. So Gino has shown that he's a pocket quarterback, doesn't run a lot, can
62:50get the ball in the hands of these guys.
62:52So I think Garrett Wilson is one of the superstar talents at the NFL.
62:56His target share has proven that. His big plays have shown that.
62:59We're getting a discount because he was hurt last year.
63:02He bounces back this year. Are you worried about like Omar Cooper or any of the other additions to that offense?
63:08Not so much. No, truly what I'm most worried about is lack of touchdown upside.
63:12We talked about this with Reese Hall and just quarterback play could be, they could be a quick pull the plug on their starting quarterback.
63:18Maybe. I think their defense is a little underrated now, which is not always a good thing.
63:23Yeah. Yeah. I think their defense is more average than it is poor now.
63:27And I think the offensive line or the offense is solid enough.
63:30Like I think they're going to be competitive. I don't think they're going to be an embarrassment.
63:35They're going to be competitive enough. And Wilson's going to be the star of that offense.
63:39So I'm with Bruce Hall. That coach makes me very nervous.
63:42Wait a second. If the offensive line is very good and the defense is legit, why aren't we more in on Reese Hall?
63:48Quarterback. I think we are. I mean, we're in on Bruce Hall, but he's in that tier as far as I'm concerned.
63:54If they're losing. Yes. They're going to have a hard time running football.
63:58So fair. All right. What about Chris Godwin? Mike Clay?
64:00Are we in or are we out on Chris Godwin now that Mike Evans has left coming back from injury last year?
64:06We didn't really like hit his ceiling last year.
64:09I know he was coming off the yeah, I know he was coming off the injury last year, but hit 11 fantasy points only twice.
64:16He's played a total of 16 games the past two years.
64:19He's 30 years old now. He hasn't believed that.
64:21Believe it or not. He hasn't cleared five touchdowns in a season since 2020.
64:25Wow. 2020 was the last time he had more than five breakdowns in a season.
64:29I know he was had a terrific year a few years ago, but you have a book.
64:34You have McMillan, who I think is an underrated player.
64:36We talked about Hurst and Tess Johnson and Kate Otten and they're both running backs.
64:40Like I get that Evans is gone, but I have a hard time seeing a ceiling here for this guy.
64:46After what we've seen the last couple of years, I'm aiming, I'm focusing my energy elsewhere at that point in the draft.
64:52Me too. I would much rather have Jalen McMillan at the very end of the draft.
64:56One of my last picks as a dart throw than going with Chris Godwin, unfortunately, with where he is.
65:01I think we have a mailbag. We got one question from our mailbag.
65:05Our friends over at chat. That question is going to be from Richard.
65:08Richard wants to know, I think my clay smells like Velveeta mac and cheese shells, but in a good way.
65:14First of all, compliment. Second of all, when was this guy smelling me?
65:17That's concerning. I know I was at the... What do you think?
65:20It's good. I mean, honestly, whatever it is. The one thing I'll say is the Velveeta mac and cheese shells is the good cheese.
65:27It's not like the powdered cheese you put with milk and butter that you have to do yourself.
65:32It's like the creamy cheese that comes in the package.
65:35By the way, in my defense, I don't have my cologne right now because it was too big to pack.
65:40So it was in the check bag, which is at Megan's house.
65:43Right now she's coming back. So it might be a little smellier.
65:46You are stink. Honestly, pretty good. Honestly, pretty good.
65:49I admire it. Yeah. All right. I did shower today, you know, so I did do that.
65:53A step forward for humanity. That's right. You smell good.
65:56Your takes stink, but you smell good. Hey. We're coming back tomorrow for more, guys.
66:00Me, Mike, and Field cannot wait. Hang out with our buddy Eric Moody in chat as well.
66:05Follow him on social media at Eric and Moody.
66:07We love you guys. Don't forget to love each other and be kind to yourself.
66:11We'll see you guys tomorrow. We'll see you guys tomorrow.
66:14The WNBA on ESPN. All season long.
