A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury15:38

A.J. Brown suffered a high ankle sprain after a defender landed on his leg. He is expected to miss a couple of weeks, which significantly impacts the Patriots' passing attack.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveProjection49:15

Baker Mayfield is a viable Week 1 pivot option who could climb back into the back-end top-12 quarterback conversation, provided he stays healthy.

Insight page

Blake Corum

NegativeRole23:58

There is interest in monitoring Corum's usage tonight to see if he carves out a meaningful role alongside Kyron Williams.

Insight page

Brian Robinson

NegativeUsage100:54

The source is down on Brian Robinson Jr. (referred to as Bill Krosky-Merritt), noting he had zero targets in the final six games of last season and requires high yardage and a touchdown to pay off his draft cost.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeInjury19:12

Bowers is not IR eligible until he is officially ruled out by the Raiders; the team has stated that everyone is playing, so he remains active for now.

Insight page
NegativeInjury20:53

Brock Bowers underwent a surprise meniscus trim surgery and is expected to miss one or two games. Despite the injury, he remains a top-tier tight end prospect for the season, though he is currently not IR-eligible on the ESPN platform until the team officially rules him out.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeUsage46:01

Bucky Irving is not a lineup lock, as he faces competition for volume from Sean Tucker and Kenny Gainwell. He was inefficient last year (48th of 57 RBs in points per touch) and had zero carries inside the five-yard line.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeProjection41:54

Carnell Tate is a viable WR3 or flex option, but the source hesitates to rank him highly because rookies drafted in the top 15 often have solid but not spectacular first games.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveSleeper21:18

Bell is listed as a starter and is a viable end-of-bench add in deep leagues; he possesses high-end talent that could have made him a first-round pick.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveProjection38:41

Christian Watson is ranked as the WR26 and is considered a borderline lineup lock and strong flex option, with the source expecting his best season yet.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeUsage21:52

The primary concern for Achan in Week 1 is his target volume from Malik Willis; if he receives fewer than three targets, it will be a major cause for concern.

Insight page

Dontayvion Wicks

NegativeProjection98:41

The source is avoiding Dontayvion Wicks, noting that in three seasons he has had exactly one game with 24+ fantasy points, averaging only 5.3 points in all other games, and questioning if the offense can support a second consistent fantasy receiver.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeProjection32:17

London's fantasy outlook is tied to Tua's performance; there is concern regarding Tua's poor preseason and his ability to consistently feed London.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection20:26

Drake Maye is coming off five straight concerning performances against quality teams. The source notes that he needs to improve his play against better competition to be fantasy-relevant.

Insight page

Drew Lock

NegativeProjection7:11

Drew Lock is viewed as a serviceable replacement for Sam Darnold, but he is not expected to put up enormous passing numbers. Historically, he has averaged 14.9 fantasy points per game and has reached 16 points only once in his last 10 games.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeProjection24:26

Kittle is ranked as the TE17 for tonight's game; it is difficult to trust him for a full complement of snaps after missing significant practice time.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

NegativeProjection37:51

The source reflects on the pre-season expectations for JJ McCarthy, questioning if he could have been a breakout top-12 quarterback.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveUsage8:58

Jadarian Price is the clear lead back for Seattle, playing 44% of snaps and leading the team with 10 carries and 11 routes run. While his receiving usage was minimal, he is considered a low-end RB2 or strong flex option moving forward, especially with favorable matchups against Arizona and Washington.

Insight page

Jake Tonges

PositiveSleeper25:04

Tonjes is a viable fill-in option only if George Kittle is ruled inactive; he averaged nearly 12 fantasy points per game in Kittle's absence last season.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

PositiveProjection4:16

Despite Sam Darnold's injury, Jaxon Smith-Njigba remains a high-end fantasy asset after a strong performance of 8 catches for 122 yards and a touchdown. While his touchdown equity may be slightly lower without Darnold, he remains a locked-in starter.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

NegativeProjection38:54

Jayden Reed is ranked as the WR44. The source expects volatility, predicting five games where he looks like the team's best receiver and 10-12 games where he is unstartable.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

NegativeRole30:46

Warren is viewed as a low-end flex consideration in a 50-50 committee backfield; he is expected to see passing-down work but lacks standalone RB2 value.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveValue37:40

Josh Allen was acquired in a dynasty trade last year for two future first-round picks, highlighting his high market value.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeUsage44:07

Josh Downs is a flex option, but the source suggests he may be outscored by Parker Washington in terms of fantasy fun and production.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

PositiveValue40:59

Josh Jacobs should be added via waivers if dropped, as he provides value to a fantasy roster despite potential missed games.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveUsage40:25

The source emphasizes that Justin Jefferson needs a career-high target share (at least 30% or 10 targets) to be effective, noting he needs to be more efficient than last year.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveBreakout54:41

Juwan Johnson is a TE1 candidate who finished tied for second in top-12 fantasy weeks among tight ends last year. He averaged 11.5 points per game with his current quarterback and has room for growth in end-zone targets.

Insight page
PositiveUsage92:25

Juwan Johnson had zero end zone targets with Tyler Shuck as his quarterback last season, but he was top seven in receptions and top five in receiving yards with Shuck, suggesting room for positive regression in scoring opportunities.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveUsage47:24

Kenny Gainwell is viewed as an elite pass-catching back who will play a significant role, evidenced by his $7 million salary.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeUsage44:44

Kyren Williams handled punt return duties only in Week 1 of last season, serving as a cautionary tale for overreacting to punt return news.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeUsage34:53

Lloyd is ranked as the RB26 for Week 1; he is expected to lead the backfield with a 50-55% snap share, but faces a tough Minnesota defense and competition for touches.

Insight page
NegativeUsage37:17

Marshawn Lloyd is being held on benches in fantasy leagues, with the source noting he is a player who continues to hang around on rosters while managers wait for his opportunity.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeProjection42:33

Marvin Harrison Jr. is cited as an example of a highly-drafted rookie who underperformed in his first NFL game, finishing with only four points.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

NegativeBreakout38:54

Matthew Golden is ranked as the WR37 and is viewed as intriguing due to his breakout potential, despite having zero touchdowns as a rookie.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

PositiveValue19:17

Mayer is a great punt play at $2,700 on DraftKings for Week 1, allowing managers to save salary for other roster spots.

Insight page
PositiveValue24:19

With Brock Bowers sidelined, Michael Mayer is a strong waiver wire add and plug-and-play option. In four games without Bowers last year, Mayer saw a 25.5% target share and averaged 13.9 fantasy points per game.

Insight page
PositiveUsage43:15

Michael Mayer is preferred over George Kittle in full PPR formats, with the source noting his 25% target share and potential to be a TE1 if he were a starter elsewhere.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeProjection26:05

Evans is ranked as the WR36 for tonight's game; while he is a touchdown-dependent veteran, he remains a high-efficiency option in a tough matchup against the Rams' secondary.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

NegativeRole20:49

Washington has no standalone fantasy value and should not be started; he serves only as an elite insurance option for Ashton Gentry.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveUsage44:04

Parker Washington is recommended as a fun flex option over Josh Downs, with the source highlighting his role as a full-time punt returner and his strong second half last season.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

PositiveUsage41:45

Quinshon Judkins is the preferred start over Marshawn Lloyd and Carnell Tate, with the expectation that he will push for 20 carries.

Insight page

Rachaad White

NegativeUsage100:41

Rachaad White is viewed as the preferred target in the Commanders backfield for Week 1, though he remains outside the top 20 running backs and is considered a 'dead zone' flyer.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

NegativeRole17:01

Romeo Doubs is not currently a recommended fantasy start. He is playing behind Matt Collins in certain packages and failed to record a catch on three targets despite A.J. Brown's injury. He may be on the flex radar, but he is not a lineup lock.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

NegativeInjury4:07

Sam Darnold suffered a hip injury during Wednesday's game. While there is no fracture and it is not considered a season-ending injury, he is expected to miss some time. The team has a 10-day window before their next game.

Insight page

Sean Tucker

PositiveUsage47:07

Sean Tucker is identified as a strong goal-line option, having recorded 11 carries inside the five-yard line last year and ranking as the RB11 on a points-per-touch basis.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeValue95:53

The source is avoiding Stefon Diggs in Week 1 against a strong Eagles defense, noting his ADP spiked too high after signing and expressing concern that he is now the number two option in a lower-volume passing attack compared to his previous role.

Insight page

Travis Hunter

NegativeProjection38:01

The source recalls pre-season speculation regarding whether Travis Hunter could emerge as a potential top-15 wide receiver.

Insight page

Trey Benson

NegativeValue37:23

The source expresses a commitment to holding Trey Benson in dynasty formats indefinitely, despite a lack of immediate production.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveInjury38:22

Tucker Kraft is a full participant in practice and is confirmed to play in Week 1.

0:38Bayer Ultra, only at the Home Depot. Friends, welcome into Fantasy Focus Football alongside Field Yates and Mike Clay.
0:44My name is Daniel Dopp, and we had some football last night.
0:47We're going to dive into that. It's going to be a lot of fun to recap Wednesday night football.
0:52Is it going to be fun? That part's not going to be fun.
0:56The fun part is going to be the week one preview, the storylines we're going to dive into today.
1:01It's going to be a blast getting into everything.
1:04But really quickly, before we do all that, a couple of logistics really quickly.
1:08Our buddy Eric Moody hanging out in chat all the time.
1:11Want to get to him. We love that guy.
1:13Follow him on social media at Eric and Moody, and make sure while you're watching Fantasy Focus Football on ESPN2, you also
1:19have on Fantasy Focus Sunday kickoff presented by Lowe's on your second screen experience live on the NFL on ESPN YouTube every Sunday, 1130 a.m.
1:26to 1 p.m. Get your lineup questions answered by the man himself, Eric Moody.
1:30He's going to be there every single Sunday for you guys.
1:33So go check him out there, as well as check out our friends over at Trophy Smack.
1:38Go to trophysmack.com. Use the promo code TROPHYWEEK1 to be able to get something sick.
1:42We got a snakeskin belt right in front of us.
1:45Sweet. That didn't belong in like a league in like Colorado or Texas.
1:49By the way, you said second screen experience for Eric Moody.
1:52I actually watched a second screen experience of my own last night.
1:55You did? I watched Grey's Anatomy during the game because every player kept getting hurt that I felt like it was only appropriate.
2:02Was that a crossover? That was good. Players were showing up.
2:05I was trying to learn something about what's going on.
2:08Congratulations, Field. Isn't Grey's Anatomy based in Seattle? Yes.
2:10Yeah, so Grey's Anatomy, Hospital in Seattle. Yes. So Christina, our producer, confirms that is accurate.
2:15I watched like the first like 11 seasons of Grey's Anatomy, but now that they're on to like- It's McDreamy, right?
2:20Yes. Yeah. Steamy and McDreamy. People don't know that before you worked here at ESPN, you were just McDreamy.
2:26That's, yes, that's what I did in life. Yes.
2:28Oh, many hats. No comment. Let's talk about Wednesday night football, to be honest.
2:32And we will hit the Brock Bowers news right after Wednesday night.
2:36Yes, agreed with that. It's a big kick in the- I love watching football, but you can probably miss me with Wednesday
2:42night football from here on out, guys. Wasn't really great.
2:44A lot of injuries, unfortunately, that really derailed this game.
2:47Let's start right off the top because right off the rip, unfortunately, Sam Darnold goes down.
2:52And that, we thought, was going to have a major impact on what happened.
2:56Turned out JSN is still pretty legit at football, even without him.
2:59How do you feel about what Sam Darnold's missing time is going to do to this offense field?
3:04Yeah, so we're talking at 10.02 a.m. on Thursday morning.
3:07We'll see whether we get more information. I'm assuming we'll get more information today.
3:11The good news is that Mike McDonald, the coach of the Seahawks, after the game last night said, we got some great
3:17news on Sam, which I, reading between the lines there, I think there was an initial fear that, like, this might be serious.
3:23It's a hip injury. Could this be the kind of thing that derails Sam's season before it really gets going?
3:29Not the case. No fractured hip. He sounds like he could miss some period of time.
3:33They do have 10 days before their next game, but it doesn't sound like worst-case scenario.
3:38We don't know how long he's going to miss, but I think we can agree that until Sam Darnold returns, while JSN
3:44did absolutely mash last night, eight catches, 122 yards and a touchdown, what a player he is.
3:49He's awesome. The downside of JSN is decreased a little bit without Sam Darnold.
3:53For sure. Like, the touchdown equity for this offense, they scored just one last night.
3:57I'm not saying JSN's going to be a wide receiver 17 for me in my Week 2 rankings, but when the tier
4:03is either three or four players, JSN plus Jamar Chase, Pukunikua, and maybe Amon Ross St.
4:08Brown, I think it's fair to say that going into next week, my confidence would probably be the lowest of JSN out of those four guys.
4:15Yeah, no doubt. And I think that if you look at the Seahawks offense going into, even to yesterday, or going into
4:21the season, you were probably only starting two guys.
4:23You were starting JSN, of course, and you were probably starting Janarian Price.
4:27I don't think that changes going forward. The matchup's going to be lighter as well.
4:31I will say this about Drew Locke. 16 of 22, 187 yards, had that touchdown to JSN.
4:36JSN did a lot of that work. He did.
4:39Short pass, made a great play. He was fine.
4:41He was serviceable. But if you look back at his 24 career games in the NFL for Drew Locke, just 14.9 fantasy
4:47points per game, he's reached 16 points once in his last 10 games.
4:51And I know it's a quarterback side. He does that a little bit with his legs, but that shows you that he's not putting up enormous passing numbers.
4:59I don't think that's going to change in the Seattle offense.
5:02It's going to try to run the ball. And as you saw last night, their defense is outstanding.
5:07It's amazing. With all those injuries, they're still amazing.
5:09Yeah, game script is going to be in their favor going forward.
5:13So who would you say their next two games are?
5:15He said they're a lot. Arizona and Washington, both on the road.
5:19They're probably going to be ahead or competitive. They're going to be able to run the football.
5:24I know we'll talk about Janarian Price in a second, but I think it's beneficial for him.
5:28And again, at the end of the day, it doesn't change a lot in terms of who you're sitting or starting in this offense.
5:35JSN's locked in. Price, you're probably starting. That's it.
5:38Let's talk about Jadarian Price. I was going to say, yeah, how did you guys feel about him?
5:43Because when I watched Janarian Price out there, he clearly looked like the better of the backs.
5:47He even got a little bit of passing game work.
5:50But there was a commitment to get everybody the ball.
5:53Do you want me to give you those numbers first?
5:56He played half of the snaps in there. He played 24 snaps, 21 for George Halani.
6:00That's 44%. And then Emmanuel Wilson, who they liked in short yardage, I guess, came in and played three snaps in the game.
6:07The positives, I would say, for Price, though, in terms of that usage is he was the lead ball carrier.
6:12He had 10 carries. Halani had eight. But when it was early downs and they wanted to run the football generally, they wanted to lean toward him.
6:20He did outplay Halani in that area also. And this one's a big one.
6:24Routes run. 11 for Janarian Price. Not a big number, but it was number one at running back.
6:29It's not like they leaned heavily on Halani. He ran seven routes, just one for Emmanuel Wilson.
6:34So that, plus that was his first game. They're going to go into game two.
6:38The run defense is going to be easier. I think this was a point in the right direction for him.
6:43I think no matter what side of the Jadarian Price argument you were on coming into the year, you could make the
6:49case for or make the case against. Yes, you could.
6:52The good news is he looks awesome. The guy's a very talented runner.
6:56No surprise there. We knew that coming into this year.
6:59Next week when they play Arizona, he might get 20 carries.
7:02He might turn those 20 carries into 120 yards and a touchdown.
7:05The case against him was, is he going to have any passing game involvement?
7:09Well, he had six receiving yards last night. So a minimal role in the receiving game compared to guys that we are
7:15profiling as top 15, maybe top 10-ish running backs.
7:18He's going to have to be an elite, elite rusher to have anywhere close to that value going forward.
7:23I will say that Mike brought the Emanuel Wilson point up.
7:26That was annoying. Like at one point, the Seahawks had the ball second and one at like the four-yard line, an opportunity to punch it in.
7:33And Emanuel Wilson was on the field. They ended up getting called for a false start.
7:38So it changed the complexion of the situation right on the spot.
7:41But I would like to see Seattle be a little bit more committed to Jadari and Price in those gotta-have-it situations.
7:47But I would say still like a, I think he enters, well, next week will be a different story.
7:52I would say generally after one game, if you said to me, how would you value Jadari and Price?
7:58I would say he's right on the borderline of a low-end RB2 or a strong flex.
8:02I am. I'm left feeling optimistic in part because I think with week one, I felt like they had a game plan
8:08that they knew they wanted to distribute the football.
8:11And when you saw Jadari and Price get the ball, he showed that he was clearly the best of the three guys in that backfield.
8:18We already knew that. That wasn't a question. But when you look at it now moving forward, do we decide, okay, now we saw it in week one.
8:26Do we decide to give maybe just a couple more snaps to Jadari and Price?
8:30Do we see it slowly start to expand over the next couple weeks?
8:33I don't think it'll be a big jump, but I'm interested to see if that slowly starts to increase.
8:39Hopefully it expands, and then we just hope that once Zach Charbonnet is back, it doesn't retract.
8:44Correct. Yeah. Field, how many NFL plays, how many NFL snaps do teams usually average?
8:48Roughly? Roughly? I think we concluded the answer was like 62.
8:51Yeah, 62, 64 in that range. Well, Seattle only ran 47 plays last night.
8:55So that also is not going to continue, which is why all the numbers, like they had 24 pass attempts, they had
9:0122 total carries, two of which were by Drew Locke.
9:04So in a normal game, there'd be about 15 more plays.
9:07That probably gets Jadari and Price to maybe an extra target, maybe five more carries, you know, and that looks a lot better.
9:13So I wouldn't be totally concerned about the overall counting stats for him.
9:17I think it's a good sign kind of where he fell in the totem pole, like going forward.
9:22My main concern is like when Charbonnet comes back.
9:24I do think they're going to split it. But we'll talk about that.
9:28That was a draft season conversation right now, at least for the next few weeks.
9:32You could feel good starting price. Feeling good about that.
9:35I am feeling concerned, unfortunately, other side of the ball.
9:38A.J. Brown left the game dealing with a high ankle sprain.
9:41We saw him get banged up. Kind of took like a knee right to the ankle when there's a defender landed on it, unfortunately.
9:48A couple weeks, I would assume without A.J. Brown.
9:50Obviously, we don't know an official timeline, but when you just think about historically high ankle sprains and what it means, you're
9:56probably thinking of a couple weeks you're going to be without A.J.
10:00Brown. How is that going to impact Drake May and this offense and the way you guys are looking at them?
10:06On the plus side for the Patriots and Drake May, matchups get easier, right?
10:09It's probably hard to find a matchup as difficult as Seattle.
10:13Maybe Houston would be in that same territory when they play Houston later this season.
10:17That being said, I mean, this Patriots wide receiver room completely changed when A.J.
10:21Brown was off the field. Going into next week when they play home to Pittsburgh, my snap reaction is nobody from the
10:27Patriots wide receiver or tight end room is going to be a lineup block for me.
10:31That's my snap reaction when I think about this because what we saw last night, and Mike, you can highlight this a
10:37little bit more, is that Romeo Dobbs was out there when they were passing, but he also was not, at least at
10:44the beginning of the game, playing as much as a player who now makes $17 million per year you would think would be playing.
10:50Yeah, I talked about this throughout earlier this week.
10:53I look forward to week one to get a good feel of like snap counts and routes and that kind of like usage for these players.
11:00Probably the biggest surprise last night was Matt Collins clearly running ahead of Romeo Dobbs.
11:04Now, to your point, when they were running the ball, Collins was out there when they were throwing, Dobbs was out there.
11:10He still ran 28 routes. That was second on the team to only Pop Douglas, who ran 32.
11:15He would have been third had A.J. Brown not got injured, but it's not a it's not a role that's going to
11:22lead to any sort of fantasy relevance. That's a bad sign.
11:25They paid him a lot of money to come in and you're running behind Matt Collins.
11:29I'll do respect to Matt Collins. He has a role and he was targeted a lot actually last season.
11:34Frankly, he might be targeted a lot over the next couple of weeks.
11:38So I agree with you. I'm not going to touch any of these guys.
11:42I think that you can look if Brown didn't get hurt.
11:45I would have came in here and said, look, if you took a late flyer and Dobbs cut him like it's just not going to happen.
11:52He's not going to play enough. He said he had three targets last night, even with Brown missing half the game and didn't have a single catch.
12:00Bad drop. Yeah, bad, bad, bad. Bad, but with Brown out, I mean, he in theory should be their number one receiver.
12:06I mean, again, he still ran 28 routes. So I think you could hang tight if you want.
12:11You can cut him loose if you want to go out and have a lot of good waiver options.
12:16But I think it's possible he's going to be on the flex radar.
12:20It's likely he'll be on the flex radar next week.
12:23But certainly not a lineup block. I wouldn't go that far.
12:26Tough night for Drake May. I mean, just bad, like real life story bigger than fantasy, in my opinion, because he has
12:32like Drake May has got to get it going against good teams.
12:35Just period fact. End of story. This guy who nearly won MVP last season.
12:39He was not the MVP last night. And this is now five straight concerning performances from Drake May against quality teams.
12:45Trevor Lawrence needs to get 9.83 fantasy points for Mike and I to win that week one board bet.
12:51Let's get to the news on Brock Bowers, though, Daniel.
12:53Let's talk about it. Unfortunately, we got news yesterday from Adam Schefter.
12:57Brock Bowers underwent a surprise surgery, guys, that I don't think any of us knew anything about.
13:01We are told he's going to miss a game or two for what it's worth.
13:06Unfortunately, this is major news for us because we had no idea coming into week one that this was going to be
13:12a thing they're taking on the Miami Dolphins here.
13:14We're going to throw up Adam Schefter's tweet on the screen as well, but it really kind of shuts down the number
13:20of people you're looking to play in this game.
13:23We'll talk about the game in a moment. But Brock Bowers underwent.
13:26Sorry, I got this tweet here. Underwent a meniscus trim Tuesday in Dallas.
13:30Expected to miss a game or two. Sources told Rap Sheet and Schefter got banged up in a little a little bit in camp.
13:37That's it. I'm trying to find silver linings here.
13:39You know, a game or two is important. We'll see whether it ends up being a game or two.
13:45But Adam Schefter does not just tweet things for like, you know, for craps and giggles.
13:49He does it because he believes it's good information.
13:51Dan Cooper is the he's the go to guy for knees.
13:55This is Patrick Mahomes surgeon. He's as good as it gets.
13:58So, you know, one or two games to me still feels in play for Brock Bowers.
14:02Other than when the guy you drafted gets hurt on like the opening drive.
14:06This is like about as close to like this is a gigantic kick in the pants.
14:11Right. Brock Bowers. And I made the case for hot take.
14:14Like he's going to set the NFL tight end single season receiving record.
14:17And we were drafting him as a top 20 to 25 player.
14:21And now you're not going to have him to begin the season sucks.
14:24Really sucks. That's a gigantic, gigantic, gigantic blow. Yeah, it absolutely is.
14:28It's unfortunate. I think if there's probably a handful of people still drafting tonight.
14:31I still think he's tight end to a game or two.
14:35Totally agree. Yeah. Yeah. And there's a lot of pushback when I put that on social.
14:39But Loveland, I mean, I guess you can make a case.
14:42But I'd still go Bowers. You gotta see it.
14:45His, yeah, Bowers can get to that level that maybe no one else at tight end can get to.
14:50So I stand by him as tight end two behind McBride.
14:53I will say this. If you have Bowers and Michael Mayer still out there, just scoop him up and file him.
14:59And that's the one, maybe that's the silver lining.
15:01The only silver lining. You can plug him in.
15:04There was four games last year that Brock Bowers was out and Mayer played.
15:08Listen to these numbers. You tell me if these are good for a tight end.
15:12Or honestly, a wide receiver. 93% of the snaps.
15:1525.5% target share. That's huge. Enormous number. I mean, that's in the vicinity of what Bowers is at generally.
15:20He filled right in. One of those games was a 31-0 loss where they had a ridiculous 28 offensive snaps.
15:25I don't know if you remember that they got blown out by the Chiefs and the offense was not in the field.
15:32So that was obviously a throwaway game. The other three games, so he averaged 13.9 fantasy points per game at least 16 in two of the three games.
15:39They're also facing Miami this week, which should be a great matchup for the Raiders to get off to a good start.
15:46So Michael Mayer, I'm at tight end 12. You could plug him right in, though, if you had Bowers.
15:51I mean, he's out there on a ton of waiver wires.
15:54I know people were scooping him up yesterday, but you can get him and plug him in.
15:59You're good for a week or two. Every game day starts before the lights go up.
16:03Before the snap. Before the roar. Something's already at work.
16:06Cleaner. Quieter. Energy. Production. Running where the game lives.
16:09Strong enough for fourth and goal. Smart enough for what comes next.
16:12Powering game day. Powering the fans and powering the communities that show up every Saturday.
16:16The same energy that runs your stadium, runs the schools, and the hospital in your neighborhood.
16:21That is performance. Powered by Bloom Energy. Powering game days.
16:23Powering communities. Powering communities. Powering communities. There's nothing worse than waking up sick.
16:27In this time of year, with the kids back in school surrounded by hundreds of others, yours may bring home a whole
16:33new world of viruses and bacteria your family may have no immunity to.
16:37No kids. Viruses are still everywhere. And one ugly strain just showed up.
16:40Now it's 2 a.m. Your throat feels like strep and your fever is spiking.

17:14I'm going to do, I'm going to ask Daniel about the Raiders running backs here in a second.
17:19But I'm going to do a PSA. So I'm letting our production team know.
17:23Can we please clip what I'm about to say in like five seconds?
17:27A lot of people have been asking us after the Brock Bowers report from Adam Schefter and Ian Rappaport.
17:32Why can't I put him on IR? We have said this many times before.
17:36It's worth doing it again to start this year.
17:38Designations on the ESPN Fantasy app are controlled. We outsource them to our friends over at Rotowire.
17:43They do a great job. But until a team makes a move or announces a player to be out, whatever reporting there
17:49is, that player is not going to be ruled out.
17:52And that's just how it has always been. I know this is not a thing that happens often.
17:57But there was a time when Ben Roethlisberger was reported to be out.
18:01And then he ended up playing in the game on Sunday for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
18:05The problem is that while our reporters are amazing, until a team comes out and says, this guy is out, like when
18:11the Falcons said recently, Michael Penix Jr. is going to be inactive in week one.
18:15And so if you have Penix, you can put him in your IR spot.
18:19Jordan Tyson's been placed on IR. You can put him in your IR spot.
18:23I know it's something that frustrates people. It's a very fine line.
18:26I get it. But until Brock Bowers is ruled out by the Raiders and their head coach, like two hours before this
18:33report came out, said we expect to have all of our guys on the field on Sunday, until they make that ruling,
18:39as things presently stand within our game, Brock Bowers is not IR eligible.
18:42I get why you're frustrated. That's how it goes.
18:45None of the three of us can make that change by ourselves.
18:48That is how things are. We will see if things adjust at some point.
18:52But until Brock Bowers is ruled out, he is not going to be IR eligible.
18:56If you do want to tweet at us and let us know how frustrated you are, at Mike Clay NFL is our Twitter handle.
19:03Trust me, I've already gotten those because I address this on social and people are very mad at me about it.
19:09Still not. I'm like, direct it to the Raiders.
19:11Like, they're the ones that said everybody's playing. Exactly.
19:14If they said Bowers is out, then he'd be out.
19:17Last thing really quickly, Michael Mayer's $2,700 if you want to use him in DraftKings this week at the tight end spot
19:23is a really great punt play to be able to save some money and go somewhere else with some bigger money in your roster.
19:30All right, let's talk about the running backs. Mike, what does this mean?
19:33Did this do anything for your Ashton Gentry projection with where we think he's going to be?
19:38Not really. I mean, maybe he gets an extra target out of this.
19:42I think they'll try to distribute them again. Michael Mayer, his target, Chairman Bowers, has been out, has been the same.
19:48Plus, they brought in Ian Thomas too. That guy, you know, could see a target or two.
19:52Not a big number, but there's ways they can spread these out.
19:56I don't think it's going to affect Ashton Gentry a lot.
19:59We've talked about this throughout the week. This is a great matchup for the Raiders running back.
20:03So, we expect Gentry to be active. You guys just buried the lead.
20:07He practiced in full yesterday. Yeah, practiced in full.
20:10So, we're not really worried about it. It's possible maybe they are like, you know what?
20:14Mike Washington's been playing well. He had the injury.
20:17Maybe we roll him back a little bit from where we might normally be.
20:21Not really concerned about that, but even if it's 80% of normal Ashton Gentry, you're going to start him.
20:26He's a terrific player. He's going to play a lot regardless, and it's a great matchup against Miami.
20:31He can be limited and score two touchdowns in a game where this should be one of the Raiders' best games of the season.
20:38Certainly, their highest winning percentage chance at home against this Dolphins team.
20:41So, it should be all systems go for Ashton Gentry.
20:44You have him. You're firing him up without pause.
20:46And he's the only running back that you're even considering.
20:49I'm not playing Mike Washington Jr. anywhere unless there's a reason why he's...
20:53The Mike Washington factor is how much he detracts from the value.
20:56Correct. If at all of Ashton Gentry. Exactly. No standalone value there.
20:59Insurance. Elite insurance running back, but you're not starting him.
21:02You saw on the lineup lock screen that Miami has won.
21:05It's Devon Achan. Unless you guys feel differently, there's no Dolphin that I am intrigued by playing in week one.
21:11And hopefully Malik Willis plays well. But otherwise, not trusting a Dolphins wide receiver.
21:15Yeah, I'm going to be watching those two rookie third-round receivers closely, though.
21:18Chris Bell and Caleb Douglas. I love that they are not messing around.
21:22Some teams are like, ah, they're rookies. And Bell missed a lot of time at the ACL.
21:27We're going to bury them. No way. They're listed as starters.
21:30And they're getting the vote of confidence that if they're the best receivers, they're going to play.
21:35And Chris Bell, I mean, as you know, he could have been a first-round pick.
21:39So, if you're in a deep league and he's still out there on waivers, not a bad guy to add to the end of your bench.
21:46Most important thing to watch in this game is the same thing that we're watching in a handful of other games.
21:52How often does Malik Willis put the ball in the hands of Devon Achan through the air?
21:57If he has three targets, it's going to be a problem, and we're going to start panicking majorly after week one.
22:03Yep. All right. Who you guys got in this game?
22:05We're going to pick every game, by the way.
22:08The Raiders. Raiders. Yeah, we got game picks. I think they're all...
22:11Are they not up there? Oh, I thought we...
22:14I picked the Raiders in this one. There they are.
22:17Oh, there we go. Oh, I guess I picked the Dolph...
22:20Oh, no, I picked the Raiders too. Yeah, thank you.
22:22Yeah, I'm going to forget my picks. You guys can just flash mine.
22:26There we go. Love that. Three for three on the Raiders.
22:29Oh, dang. Okay, thank you. Producers helped us on that one.
22:32Thank you. The Dolphins. All right, let's move forward here to the game tonight.
22:36Got a big one. Yeah, bring it. We got a game.
22:39I guess it's tonight slash tomorrow, depending on which continent you're in.
22:43The Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers go down under.
22:46There are four lineup blocks in this game. Christian McCaffrey, Kieran Williams, Puka Nakua, and Devontae Adams.
22:51I'm not doing it. No, you've got to do it now.
22:54Come on. That was too good. I'm bad at this.
22:57Look, I had to do it as a punishment last year, and it was awful.
23:01Yeah. Mike failed before he even got away. I know my lane.
23:04Did you guys ever watch the show Summer Heights High?
23:07One of my favorite shows of all time. Great comedy back in the day.
23:11Yes, this game is being played in Australia. I'll stop speaking in an Australian accent.
23:15You did a great job. It wasn't bad. But yes, the game will be played tonight in the States, tomorrow in Australia.
23:21That's right. This is a huge one. Did you see the thing about Raheem Morris, how he's going to miss his whole birthday?
23:28His whole birthday. Yeah. Because he's traveling. The time change.
23:30Shut up. So he's literally leaving the day before his birthday, and when they get there, it will be the next day.
23:37The best part is, he left when he was 49, and by the time he got there, he missed his 50th birthday.
23:43He's so committed to the 49ers that he refused to turn 50.
23:46I didn't know that part. That's funny. I love that.
23:49All right. So yeah, you saw the four lineup blocks.
23:52No surprise there with the Rams. I am interested in Blake Corum to see how much of a role he plays tonight.
23:58I say that because our friend Adam Schefter, who's amongst the most tapped in people in anything in life, did draft Blake Corum and Kyron Williams.
24:05He drafted Blake Corum early in the War Room League, which I think his thought process was just, I want all of the Rams backfield every game.
24:13It'll be productive in aggregate. It's a 16-team league, so running backs fly off the board there.
24:17But obviously, I have my eyes on Blake Corum.
24:20But let's talk about, to me, I think the most interesting thing, Mike, of this game is George Kittle, who's off the injury report tonight.
24:27Are we cranking him up? I am not cranking him up.
24:30I have him at tight end 17. It's just hard to imagine him missing so much time, being in doubt to even
24:36travel for this game, and then playing a full complement of snaps.
24:40I know, you know, look, it might be a simple, we know what tight end is.
24:44Like, he could just have two targets and catch a touchdown and end up tight end 11.
24:49Eli Rarity. Yeah, exactly. So, look, if you're in a really tight spot at tight end and you want to take a shot at it, fine.
24:56But I would stay away from this one. He's tight end 17 for me.
25:00I'm not going to start him, and I'm certainly not going to start Jake Tonjes either.
25:04We are keeping an eye on him in case Kittle was out.
25:08If Kittle is a surprise inactive, Tonjes, you can file in.
25:11He averaged just a hair under 12 fantasy points per game in place of Kittle last season, which would have ranked eighth over the full season.
25:18So that's the only path I'm considering. A Niners tight end this week is if Kittle's out, Tonjes could be filed in.
25:24That's it. Our rankings all reflect a similar value for George Kittle.
25:28I think another question for the 49ers offense is, are you playing a wide receiver tonight?
25:32I think at some point this season, like this 49ers wide receiver room is so old, right?
25:37Mike Evans, Debo Samuel, Christian Kirk, who's on IR.
25:39But that's three very tenured receivers. With Dejan Shribling as like the man waiting in the wings.
25:44He generated all the hype during the preseason. I just don't think that Shribling is going to be a thing coming out of the chutes here.
25:51I think it's going to take some time before Shribling plays a meaningful role.
25:55And while Mike Evans was not exactly the most exciting target in drafts, worth noting he does make $17 million a year now.
26:02And the Niners have been saying all the right things about Mike Evans.
26:05I have him as wide receiver 36 in this game.
26:08Prior years when you're playing against the Rams, you were concerned about the pass rush, but you were not concerned about the cornerback room.
26:15Now you are, as the Rams imported the Chiefs cornerback room.
26:18And they now have Trent McDuffie and Jalen Watson playing behind, well, not Aaron Donald, but Miles Garrett and the rest of that outstanding front.
26:25So a tough matchup here tonight. Yes. I've got Mike Evans as wide receiver 36.
26:29Debo Samuel as wide receiver 43. And Dejan Shribling right on the border of my top 50.
26:34Do you guys agree or disagree that if you're playing a Niners wide receiver tonight, it is Mike Evans?
26:39I agree with Evans. I have Shribling second, but it's close.
26:42I think that'll be a close call. I'm pumped to see Shribling though.
26:46One of the most anticipated players of the week, I would say.
26:49I'm nervous for all kinds of outcomes. In the sense that like, if he plays every single snap and has 12 targets,
26:55I'm like, damn it, I was way too low on the guy.
26:59Or if it's like... I think he'll be busy.
27:01Or it's like, yeah, he plays 12 snaps and you're like, oh, I forget the preseason is different.
27:06I'm more in on Shribling than I am on Mike Evans.
27:09Frank Tice? Yeah. In terms of draft capital spent or exposure, yes.
27:13Week one. But I think week one, Evans. Oh, you like Shribling over Evans week one?
27:17Yeah, I would play him over Evans. Interesting. Okay.
27:20Yeah. I'm deferring to age and experience. And frankly, like Mike Evans, obviously not the same level of player, but like the
27:26upside on Mike Evans is still pretty damn high right now.
27:29Did you see those routes he was running? He was doing this.
27:32Yeah. He wasn't trying real hard, guys. He was running some routes.
27:36He's a touchdown machine and a high efficient offense.
27:38He might be able to have some unsustainable efficiency this year in terms of yards.
27:42Some Devontae Adams like... Yeah, very much. That's his best chance.
27:46I did not... Again, I have very little Mike Evans exposure.
27:49I don't think I have any Mike Evans exposure, honestly, in drafts this year.
27:53Two for you? I have none. I have a lot of Shribling, so...
27:56I just have one Mike Evans in a deeper league.
27:59He also feels like... You could tell me week five rolls around.
28:02Mike Evans is wide receiver 13 on the year.
28:05And we're like, holy crap, we missed the boat.
28:07And then by Thanksgiving, you could be like, I don't know.
28:10That is exactly my expectation. It's like the reverse Jeremiah Love.
28:13Slow start for Love, and then he's going to be worth it.
28:17Evans is the opposite. I think he'll come out.
28:19He'll be like, all right, three touchdowns in four games.
28:22And then it's going to start to cool a little bit.
28:25But... Quinton Johnston, like last year, kind of a thing.
28:28Actually, a lot of guys did that. Ibuka, Dunze, had a good first month.
28:32Let's calm down on the Ibuka hate. All right.
28:34Hey, no hate at all. All right, for what it's worth, I would just say this.
28:39I think that with Mike Evans and DeJount Stribling, if there was someone that I thought the defense would be more keyed
28:45in on, it would be Mike Evans. Maybe a slightly easier matchup for DeJount Stribling in this one because of that.
28:51He's going to be on the perimeter. He's going to see.
28:54McDuffie might shadow him in this game. I'm taking the Rams in this one.
28:58Yeah. I have... The Rams. There we go. Thank you.
29:01I'm going to forget literally... I'm going to forget all of them.
29:04We'll find out. The really obvious ones, yes. Did we do our Super Bowl picks, by the way?
29:09I don't think we did that yesterday. No, we did not.
29:12We'll do that. Mine is Rams, so... Yeah, mine was Ravens over Rams.
29:16They don't pick on them. Life insurance is one of those things that's easy to put off because it doesn't feel urgent today.
29:22But it's not just another financial box to check.
29:25It's about having a plan in place, so if life throws something unexpected at your family, they're not left dealing with the financial side without support.
29:32We'll be right back. We'll be right back. Mike, I want to talk about some running backs.
29:37Okay. These running backs are a tough one to figure out because Steelers, all draft season, it's kind of been back and forth.
29:43Is it Rico Daudel? Are you in on Jalen Warren?
29:46Are you in on Rico Daudel? Which side are you on?
29:49They're taking on the Atlanta Falcons here. I've got, when you look at these lineup blocks, we've got Bajon Robertson, obviously, Drake
29:55London, Kyle Pitts, all the Falcons that you expect.
29:58Should I try to read the lineup blocks and the accent of the game or where the game is being played?
30:04I like that field. Steelers? Yinzas. Yeah, I don't really have...
30:07You guys? I need to import Tone Diggs, our buddy from Pat McAfee's show.
30:11Maybe it's Pat himself. He, of course, Pittsburgh legend.
30:13I would screw this up, so I'm not even going to bother trying.
30:17Michael Pittman Jr. and DK Metcalf are flex considerations, potentially, not lineup blocks, I would assume, Mike?
30:22I put them as lineup blocks, both top 26, and I kind of lean toward 12-team leagues.
30:26So, yeah, I think if you have them in this matchup, I'm firing them up.
30:31Well, let's talk about the running backs then. Those are the lineup blocks, by the way, on the screen.
30:36That's what we show. I've got Rico Daudel ahead.
30:38of Jalen Warren in this one. I'm curious where you guys are at, but I just like Rico Daudel as the one better pure running back.
30:46When I look at what I think this Mike McCarthy offense is going to be, I just think he's the better runner.
30:52The Pittsburgh style of a running back as a part of that.
30:55I know Jalen Warren's more like the pass-catching guy that we think of.
30:59Jalen Warren was a starter for the entire season last year, right?
31:02Rico Daudel was a part-time starter halfway through the year because of injury.
31:06He only had one less reception than Jalen Warren.
31:08He wasn't that bad of a pass-catcher from that perspective.
31:11So right now, just like with the way that I think the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to play offense week one, until
31:17I see Jalen Warren prove to me that he needs to be the guy, I think Rico Daudel just feels like the
31:23better, safer, potential, low-end RB2 play, and Warren is more like a low-end flex consideration.
31:28Probably a better pure runner is Rico Daudel, a better finisher at the goal line.
31:32Definitely. He'll have more touchdown upside. And familiarity with Mike McCarthy all working his favor.
31:36I think Jalen Warren is a good runner. I think he's a very capable pass-catcher, and there's obviously familiarity, reliability, and play there for him as well.
31:44So I have Daudel. Shoot, I screwed this up.
31:46I have Daudel at RB27. I got to recall my Jalen Warren rank, but the bottom line is...
31:51We're all close. I mean, I have one ahead of Daudel.
31:54The hope here is, I actually think for our purposes, like the better thing for us would be that we avoid dead
32:00zones, which is like they both kind of play enough to render them, not saying this is Jadarian Price's future or destiny,
32:06but like last night, where it's like everybody plays enough and none of the roles are impactful enough and what we don't
32:13think is going to be this amazing offense in Pittsburgh, that it's like, yeah, they both get 12 opportunities a game, 12
32:19to 15 opportunities a game, and they both average between like 10 and 12 fantasy points per game, something like that.
32:25Yeah, look, if they have 64 offensive snaps, it might be 32-32 or 33-31.
32:29You know what I mean? I think this is going to be a true committee 50-50 split with a lean towards Warren
32:35and passing situations to out on early downs. That's not good enough for me to consider one of these guys for my RB2 slot.
32:41Yeah, maybe at some point one moves ahead a little bit and becomes a flex option, but also Mike McCarthy, hates running backs from a fantasy perspective.
32:49Brutal, bad target. Hasn't been nice. Every season. So I've talked about this throughout the offseason.
32:53So staying away for week one. A couple of things here.
32:57I know they're lineup locks, but I'm legitimately curious how Tua plays for Drake London's purposes.
33:01Not that Drake London got great quarterback play last year, but Tua was so awful in the preseason.
33:06And this feels like the shortest leash in the history of starting quarterback leashes.
33:10Like, please, Tua, keep it together enough to feed Drake London into the football 12 times.
33:14Yeah, and he's done that. It's hard to believe he would just fall out.
33:18It's not like he's 40 years old. You know, he's still a prime agent.
33:22In Miami, he was able to get the ball in the hands of his playmakers.
33:26I know. They've had some big fantasy seasons, so hopefully he can do it here.
33:31Just feels like, I mean, is there anybody that I'm missing that's had what feels like a worse preseason than Tua?
33:37Well, there's a couple. Isaac Tesla. Deshaun Watson was pretty poor as well.
33:40Yeah, that's a good one. Okay. KJ McCarthy would probably get out there as well.
33:44QB three, right, in Minnesota? I went after one of your Lions and you just took it in stride, so well done.
33:51Mispronounced his name. I didn't even hear it. Didn't even hear it.
33:54Who are you guys picking in this game? Steelers.
33:56Steelers. I mean the Falcons. Wow, you're talking about the Falcons, huh?
34:00We're bad at forgetting who we are. We're bad at remembering in this one.
34:04Yeah, Steelers. Falcons, what's your confidence level in that Falcons pick?
34:07My confidence level players in the game. That's weird.
34:09That's weird. That's weird you picked a team that's going to lose.
34:13I thought your sister picked a team that's going to win.
34:16If I didn't do it, I would have jinxed the entire thing.
34:19So you guys should be grateful. I took Falcons.
34:22I think Mike and I are almost perfectly aligned so far.
34:25We're picking the winners, you know? That's what you're supposed to do.
34:28Did it last night. Yeah. Yep. Next up. This is you guys.
34:31Sorry. Oh, here we go. All right, Mike, let's talk about the Packers and the Vikings.
34:36And I believe you wanted to discuss the value of Marshawn Lloyd.
34:39We're going to see the lineup blocks here. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
34:43This game is being played Sunday, 425 in Minnesota.
34:45We're going to wait on the lineup blocks in just a moment.
34:48So, Mike, while we wait for those, does Marshawn Lloyd crack that lineup lock list?
34:53He does not. He's RB26 this week. This is a wait and see.
34:56Very similar scenario to Jadarian Price, actually. This guy is entering his third year in the NFL.
35:01He's only appeared in one game. It's a little bit different, but a lot of excitement around him with no Josh Jacobs there.
35:07He finally gets an opportunity former day two draft pick.
35:10So, I'm, again, very fascinated to see what kind of role he plays in this one.
35:15But I do expect to see quite a bit of Chris Brooks, who is a good change of pace guy, along with
35:21Emmanuel Wilson behind Josh Jacobs the last couple of years.
35:24And I expect that tomorrow, or what day is it?
35:26Thursday on, so, Sunday. We get the promotions on Saturday.
35:29Yes. We will see Pierre Strong activated as well.
35:32Could see a few touches as well. So, probably going to be a three at a backfield.
35:37I would think Marshawn Lloyd is in the 50-55% snap share range.
35:40Should be the lead ball carrier. Maybe not a lot of pass catching involvement.
35:44What percent? And pretty good defense here in Minnesota.
35:46So, at the end of the day, no 55 jokes, okay?
35:49Why not? Are you out? Yeah, I'm out. This is serious business.
35:53The season's here. Two things. Okay. I don't agree with that.
35:56You don't agree with what? Oh, the 55 jokes?
35:58Yes. Being out on that. But you do it wrong, so you just ruined it a long time ago.
36:04So, we just don't do it anymore. Wow. You're ruined?
36:06You just yell 55. And then the fantasy footballer crowd gets mad at us.
36:10That's true. Wow. Because you do it wrong. How do you do it right?
36:14No, I'm not doing it. No, Mike, come on!
36:17No, it's ruined. 55% of the carries. The way you described what you think Marshawn Lloyd's outlook could look like sounded almost exactly like Jadarian Bryant.
36:24Yeah, very. That's what I'm kind of expecting in this one.
36:27But we also don't know for sure what it's going to look like.
36:31Is he even going to be an effective NFL running back?
36:34We've seen him in one game. We don't know.
36:36We don't know. I am heavily invested in this game because I do have some Marshawn Lloyd shares.
36:41But also because our boss, Scott Clark, plays in Dynasty League that the three of us play in.
36:46It's about half ESPNers and half former colleagues of ours here at ESPN.
36:50And we made a trade probably four, maybe three or four years ago.
36:54He was kind of pivoting to get younger and I kind of saw an opportunity to make a push.
36:59And I acquired Derrick Henry for Javante Williams and there was some flotsam involved as well.
37:03One of the players going from my roster to his was Marshawn Lloyd.
37:07And now like ever since Four years later. I guess it wasn't four years later.
37:11And like one of the jokes he always would be like you know, it'd be random like week nine he'll be like
37:17currently anticipating 22 points from Marshawn Lloyd. Right? It's just like he continues to hang around on Scott's bench.
37:23Sooner or later. That's me with Trey Benson. I'm going to keep Trey Benson forever in Dynasty for no reason.
37:28So this is a big moment here for Scott Clark's team.
37:31Yeah. Huge. Yeah. So you're going to start him?
37:34We have a lot of fluxes. Dynasty is probably in there.
37:37That's why Dynasty is the best by the way.
37:40It's because Scott made a big trade last year himself in which he acquired Josh Allen for the cost of two future first round picks.
37:47Plus and this was like early last season. Like I think even before the season.
37:51JJ McCarthy and Travis Hunter. And think about where we were last year at this time with both of those players before the season had begun.
37:58Could JJ McCarthy they be a breakout top 12 quarterback?
38:01Is Travis Hunter going to be a potential top 15 wide receiver?
38:04Yeah. It's a Dynasty can be the best. It can also It can also be the worst.
38:09The worst. Oh that's so fun. Alright so Marshawn Lloyd that's where Mike is at.
38:13I wanted to discuss the Packers wide receivers as always they are kind of an enigma.
38:18How do you rank all of these players? Worth noting before I get into the receivers.
38:22Tucker Craft full go yesterday. He is going to play in week one.
38:26We were expecting that but just an update on where he stands health wise.
38:30Here is how I have this kind of reminds me of my 49ers analysis earlier.
38:34Less so like I know exactly what's going to happen more so here's how I have them ranked in case you want to follow said rankings.
38:41You guys know that I think Christian Watson's ready for his best season yet.
38:45Yep. He has wide receiver 26 for me. So inside my top 30 I consider him a borderline lineup lock.
38:51He's certainly a strong flex consideration. Matthew Golden wide receiver 37.
38:54Jayden Reed wide receiver 44. Jayden Reed will probably have five games this year where he looks like the best Packers wide receiver.
39:00I think the other 10 to 12 games are going to be games where you're saying to yourself why would I ever bother starting this player?
39:07Golden is super intriguing because of the breakout possibility.
39:10The Packers made this big investment in him a year ago.
39:13He also had zero touchdowns as a rookie. So Watson is my guy out of the three Packers wide receivers or either
39:19of you confident in any Packers wide receiver to the point he would be inside your top 30.
39:24Nope. Not this week. They're all outside my top 30 but I do have Watson the highest for this week.
39:30But again it's 32 33 and then I've Jayden Reed down at 39.
39:33Remember the Vikings we expect to still be very good defensively.
39:36Yeah. And they allowed the fewest fantasy points to wide receivers last season quietly.
39:40I feel like like the I think because of what went on with the offense they kind of quietly got the job
39:47done but they shut down receivers last year and again they should be very good in that area again this year.
39:52Even shut down Jefferson Jefferson last year. Yeah you're right they did they were that good.
39:57They were just so good in practice that they couldn't even get going and when the game happened.
40:02It was confidence filled all his confidence. Yeah I'm avoiding these receivers for week one for the most part.
40:07Mike took the Packers. You took the Packers. I took the Packers in this one.
40:11Where did our producers go? Packers all around. Wow.
40:14Yikes. That's in part because Quinton is a Packers fan so they had to do it.
40:18Please please please please please Kyler Murray do your job.
40:21No that's the only thing we want. What's that job to be clear?
40:25Throw the football early and often to Justin Jefferson.
40:27That's it. Okay. I'll do respect to Addison and Jennings.
40:30I was going Parkinson. I was going further down.
40:33I was going to say TJ Parkinson. How dare you?
40:35He needs 10 at least 10 targets or a 30% target Sheriff.
40:39Kyler only throws the ball 27 times which is he probably.
40:42Justin Jefferson needs to have at least nine of them.
40:45We need a career high target share from Justin Jefferson which he had last year but needs to be more efficient.
40:51It's going to be the same thing. Let's take a couple of questions from our chat.
40:55This one comes from Isaac Smith wants to know someone dropped Josh Jacobs in my league.
41:00Is it worth the waiver claim this early in the season?
41:03Absolutely. I agree. Speculative. I think it's you know again we've been using sort of like five-ish games missed as a potential guess for Josh Jacobs.
41:10We don't know obviously but yes I would say he deserves to be rostered right now.
41:14Agreed. Deserves sounds like the wrong choice of words.
41:17I know what you mean. I think he is a player that would bring value on your fantasy roster right now based off what we know.
41:24You're right. With you on that. All right next one from our chat.
41:28By the way thanks for hanging out with us in there.
41:31We love the community you guys have been able to foster with our buddy Eric.
41:35Again follow him at Eric and Moody. This one is from Lalo Garcia.
41:39Should I start Quinchan Judkins, Marshawn Lloyd, or Carnell Tate?
41:41In my flex. I have an answer here. What do you guys think?
41:45Yeah Judkins for me. Judkins easy call for me.
41:48I did look at I don't know. Are we doing Titans today?
41:51I don't know when we're doing that one. Carnell Tate.
41:54We'll get into that but basically it's very similar to what you did with Jeremiah Love like where yeah they have good
42:00first seasons but how do they do in that first game right?
42:03And for guys drafted in the top 15 and wide receiver and again all the numbers at another point but basically solid but not spectacular.
42:10Usually I don't see a huge games from these guys.
42:13right out of the gate so a little bit of hesitation there enough to start him as a wide receiver three or
42:19flex yes but enough to put him over Quinshawn Judkins who should have pushing for 20 carries in this game.
42:25No go Judkins. We're all in this together. That's why I was excited in my arms to you guys.
42:30I can't quite reach. We're all in this together.
42:33Do you guys remember when Marvin Harrison Jr.'s first game that was a four Cardinals went up like 28 to three over
42:39the Bills and you're like if I told you the score would be 28 to three at half would you believe that Marvin Harrison Jr.
42:46would finish with four points? It was like one catch for 30 yards in his first NFL game.
42:51And that was again that's rare for those guys drafted that early.
42:54They usually have a solid first game but he did not.
42:57Sadly it was like some sort of foreshadowing. I think he's one of two of those top 15 receivers over the past decade.
43:04A lot of times it's cool to be like one of two.
43:07This is not one of those top 10 in a bad way.
43:10Another couple questions here before we move on. This one comes from another YouTube listener.
43:15Full PPR George Kittle or Michael Mayer? Michael Mayer.
43:17I think Michael Mayer as well. I think that 25% target share.
43:20Remember Mayer was a second round pick. This guy would be probably a tight end one in fantasy if he was starting for another team.
43:27What are we laughing at? I'm getting better at my job is what we're laughing at.
43:32The user my. If you're watching you can go back and rewind it.
43:36I missed it. What'd you do? This is the user my.
43:39Yes. We've had this user on the past before that has left some comments in our chat.
43:43But we love having him in there. Them. Him or her.
43:47Whoever it is. We got one more. Tell me later.
43:49I don't know. Just hit the rewind button for like 20 seconds.
43:53You'll see it. This last one comes from Dale.
43:55Oh, wow. This last one comes from Day. Dale and Ike.
43:58Maybe not. Maybe not. Maybe not. Dale and Ike off.
44:01Dale and Ike off. All right. Parker Washington versus Cleveland.
44:04Oh, come on. Or Josh Downs versus Baltimore for flex two.
44:07Oh, flex two. I mean, do you like having fun?
44:10Do you like having fun when you play fantasy?
44:12Yes. I do. Yes. Parker Washington. Are you kidding me?
44:15Again, one of the guys I cannot wait to see over.
44:18Do you want to watch Josh Downs? Like Josh Downs maybe outscores him if Washington doesn't have a big player to like.
44:24No, it's all going to be short range. Little throws and like that has value.
44:28But come on. First of all, you drafted Parker Washington before him.
44:32Yes. And that is a fun player. Yeah, he's a fun player.
44:35Come on. Parker Washington. I agree. News or noise on Parker Washington being named the team's punt returner?
44:40Oh, I don't care. Was Kyron Williams named the Rams punt returner again?
44:44I don't. Oh, actually, I forgot about that because I saw the tweets and I was like, man, how many recent examples
44:50are there of guys who handled punt return duties that also had a big offense?
44:54Did Kyron really handle punt return duties for that long into the season?
44:58He had one punt return. It was in week one and then he never did it again.
45:03Right, because it might happen in week one. Just, you know, teams want to just kind of get off the tee to borrow a golf metaphor.
45:10Yeah, he did handle Parker Washington. He was very good last season.
45:13As we know, he handled 96% of their punt returns last year.
45:17Oh, well, for the whole season, that was 25 punt returns, including the playoffs.
45:20By the way, he was awesome in the second half of last year.
45:24Yeah, he was and he was still their full-time punt returner.
45:27Let's talk about the Bucs. Let's do it. Baker Mayfield used to have two chips on his shoulder.
45:32Then he got both of his pockets full of money.
45:35Yeah, yeah. I'm not sure how that one's going to work here in this one anymore.
45:39We look at the lineup blocks. Joe Burrow, Chase Brown, Jamar Chase, Teagans, the entire Bengals offense that you expect.
45:45Mecca Abuka practiced in full yesterday. That's a good sign for Abuka, of course, dealt with that toe.
45:50Yeah, you were nervous. Mike, is there a second page to this lineup blocks or is Mecca Abuka the only lineup block from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
45:58Yes, he is. Who else? Yeah, we're not putting Bucky Irving on there.
46:01He's the one that's you're probably starting in, but I wouldn't go as far as to call him a lineup block.
46:07I agree. Let's talk about it because remember he was the RB 22, 21.
46:11So yeah, might have two better options. I don't I just don't feel good about Bucky like he's still the RB one
46:17of this team, but I feel like you've got two guys.
46:20Didn't happen. Yeah, I was able to hold it in.
46:23Bless you. Yeah, it's bad for audio listeners. I feel and we're still waiting.
46:27Sean Tucker has been banged up, but he's got two guys.
46:30I feel like on both sides of his the role of his job that are just vulturing his volume.
46:35He's got Sean Tucker that I think is a really good end zone guy and we watch Sean Tucker on a points per touch basis.
46:42Sean Tucker was RB 11 last year, which is insane.
46:45That just shows you that his like he is a touchdown vulture at the goal line.
46:50That's what that says to me. And Kenny Gainwell is an unbelievable pass catcher.
46:54There is no more ceiling. It doesn't really feel like for Bucky in the same way, not in the same way.
46:59So because of that, it's just if you're starting him, he's like a low end RB to that you're hoping falls into
47:06the end zone falls right outside of the top 20.
47:08I would guess for Mike because he's not a lineup lock interested to see how this Bengals run defense looks this year.
47:15I mean, they were a disaster across the board last year.
47:18So the miles Garrett trade one of the biggest defensive trades of the offseason.
47:22Yeah. Dexter Lawrence, like they think he can be a one man fix for the run defense.
47:26Hey, it wasn't just that Jonathan Allen, boy Mafe can stop the run.
47:30I mean, they made some big change. Yeah, they made some big changes up front.
47:34I don't think that's going to be. I love when teams do that.
47:38Sometimes teams just continue to ignore weaknesses every year and you're like, what are they doing?
47:42And the Bengals are very guilty of that. They did not do that with the interior of that defensive line this year.
47:48They added some B or the whole front of the defense.
47:52I feel like Bucky really fell off from an efficiency standpoint, like between his first four weeks.
47:56He was amazing. He was. And then he got banged up and it was tough.
48:00Health issues, sort of ambiguity surrounding those still makes it hard to fully evaluate it.
48:05But yeah, he was not the same player after he returned as he was in the first.
48:09He was like, I think like a top 10 in terms of total touches in the first four weeks of this season.
48:16Yeah, definitely with you. I am very curious how this Bucks backfield plays out.
48:19I feel like the league finally got it right.
48:22Right. With Kenny Gainwell making $7 million per year.
48:25And that's the kind of money that tells you he is going to play a real role.
48:29Like this could be a Jadarian Price situation based off what we saw last night from Price for Bucky Irving.
48:35I had a really quickly just a fun stat that I want to say because it was while I was researching these
48:41guys looking at it last year, Bucky Irving 48th out of a qualified 57 running backs and fantasy points per touch.
48:47Just unbelievably inefficient. You know who was RB1? Kenny Gainwell.
48:50His backfield mate, Kenny Gainwell. Oh, wow. And how many carries inside the five yard line did Bucky Irving have last year?
48:56That's a great question, Mike. How many? He had zero.
48:59Zero. Sean Tucker. Sean Tucker had 11 inside the five yard line.
49:02I think it's 8 for maybe it was 8 for 52.3% of the Bucks.
49:06It'll be interesting to see the way that everything is deployed.
49:09We'll talk a lot about it at the snap share and how everyone is utilized here in week one after this.
49:15Baker has my attention for this week. It's kind of a weird week for quarterbacks because we have a couple of like
49:21otherwise no brainers that are in tough spots, right?
49:24Drake May. We saw that why that was the case last night.
49:27Josh Allen. Now our confidence is not as low as at least mine and Mike's confidence was going into last night for Drake May.
49:34And you can make the case that there are a couple other QBs that, you know, Jaden Daniels, he faces a tough Philadelphia defense.
49:40If you're going to pivot off of those guys, who might be amongst the pivot options?
49:45Baker Mayfield. And I don't think the Baker Mayfield's upside is just like you can pivot to him in week one and
49:51he can be your starter to begin the season.
49:53Like I think Baker Mayfield could claw his way back in to back end top 12 quarterback conversation.
49:58They were awful last season. Awful as an offense just across the board.
50:02Two years ago, they were lighting things up. Now part of that was because their defense was so bad.
50:07They were throwing, they were like the Bengals a season ago as far as defense and offense is concerned.
50:13I just generally think this Bengals, sorry, this Buccaneers offense will be a lot better.
50:17And while I'm not, I think this Bengals defense is better as Mike discussed, not convinced they're fixed.
50:22Right? So I think Baker can throw the football around the yard a little bit this week.
50:27I've got him as quarterback 13. I'm a hair lower than you.
50:30I agree. I think like two years ago, he needed enormous passing numbers to get into that top 10.
50:35I think they could do it again though. If he said, remember the reports were, and he's not the kind of guy
50:42that's going to come out and complain that he's hurt, but the reports were like, he was pretty beat up last year.
50:48And the same thing with Emeka Abuka and that really affected things.
50:51You know, Chris Godwin, Mike Evans is out. I mean, there was a lot of things that went wrong for them.
50:57So they come in healthy to this, this season.
50:59No doubt about it. I'm with you. There's, he's one of them guys that could sneak back into relevance.
51:05How much does he now make per year? Almost as much as Mike.
51:08Beat me to it. You know, field always makes that joke and I thought I had my opportunity there and you stole it from me.
51:15I'm sorry. How many million per year? I don't know.
51:18What is it? You don't know. 55. Is it?
51:21It is. Yes. Oh, that's amazing. I'm trying to serve you up.
51:24Come on, Michael. Nope. Bump set spike. You got to do the spike.
51:28Bump set. No, it's not. You can't just show 55.
51:31It's 55 burgers, 55 fries, 55 dogs, 55 milkshakes.
51:3355 million. 55 million. 55 touchdown passes. Who are you guys taking in this one?
51:3755 fantasy points. Oh, wow. We're some mixed there.
51:40I am taking the Buccaneers. I'm going Bengals. I'm taking the Bengals in this one.
51:44You know what makes me the most disappointed? Week one.
51:47Last year, we said one thing about the Bengals defense.
51:50Start your tight end every single week against them.
51:52We're not even talking about Kaye Dotton in this one.
51:55We'll see. Brian Cook might help erase things on that category.
51:58I want to see. Maybe that happens. Raheem Sanders later.
52:01Anyone have Payne Durham? Stop. Stop. Don't want that.
52:03Payne Durham touchdown here. Yeah, I'm going Bengals. The Bengals famous for their quick starts.
52:07Yes, they are. They are. They are. Let's talk Lions and Saints, Michael.
52:11Oh, here we go. That was a fun one for you.
52:14You got your Lions and your guy Tyler Shuck on the other side.
52:18Absolutely. Got a little bit of everyone. The lineup block page is full here.
52:22Jameer Gibbs, Amonra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam Laporta, Travis Achan Jr., and Chris Olave as well on the other side.
52:28Honestly, if I was going to build a DFS lineup, which I may, a little bit of foreshadowing, you might see that on my Twitter.
52:35It'll be popular. This will be a big game to stack because it's the second highest implied total on the week.
52:40Got a very, very angry message on social media last night.
52:43Oh, no. From somebody telling me, telling us, we have to stop confusing Devon Achan and Travis Achan.
52:49Pronounce his name correctly. This is like typical of you guys.
52:52Did this person miss the news? I guess so.
52:54Missed the news. Apparently, like legitimately missed the news of the offseason.
52:57That was me. That's my burner. Gotcha. Travis. I'm sorry.
53:00Gotcha. That was it. All for this moment. Gotcha.
53:03Formerly, Travis Etienne has made it clear that he wants to go by his proper pronunciation.
53:07You call him what that guy wants you to call him.
53:10You change his name. So, person who was really, like really mad.
53:14That's really tough. Yeah. That's weird. Someone on social was really mad about him.
53:18That doesn't usually happen. That's never happened before. That's so weird.
53:21All right, guys. Talk to me about this game.
53:23Speaking of guys who you hear his name pronounced quite differently, should we talk about some secondary targets for the Saints?
53:29There's no reason to start Devon Valet, right? Devon Valet rhymes with Valet.
53:33Dang it. See, I did it wrong. That's where I was going with that.
53:37It's because, of course, Jordan Tyson is out for at least the first four games of the season.
53:42Yep. Might be closer to six games, but we'll keep an eye on that.
53:46Hopefully he's back sooner rather than later. We're excited to see him.
53:49But in the meantime, Devon Valet is a guy that will step in.
53:53Likely he's an every down player opposite Chris Alave.
53:55Five games last year. He was a full-timer for the Saints.
53:58One of them he left hurt. Average 5.6 targets per game.
54:01Solid number in what we expect to be an okay offense this year.
54:05Wasn't super consistent, but he did have that one big game in week 13.
54:09Eight for 93 and a touchdown. So that shows you what he could potentially bring to the table.
54:14The other thing we also like is, and this applies to Jawan Johnson I'll get to in a second, but the Lions
54:20already struggled against receivers last year and they are beat up in the secondary right now.
54:24No Brian Branch. No Kirby Joseph. Not Tracy Walker.
54:27That's right. Kirby Joseph. And of course, Terry and Arnold's no longer with that team.
54:31Rock Yacin, now the number two cornerback. Yeah, so they have problems in the secondary right now that opens up some opportunities for Valet.
54:38And then Jawan Johnson. I have a trivia question for you guys.
54:41Yes, I'm so ready. Where did Jawan Johnson finish last season?
54:44No, I don't have that one. Where did he finish in top 12 fantasy weeks among tight ends last year?
54:50Sixth. Ooh, I'm going to say seventh. Second. You believe that?
54:53Trey McBride, huh? Yeah, he was second. He was tied for second with nine top 10 fan, top 12 fantasy weeks last season.
54:59Career highs across the board. I do believe that.
55:02Um, yeah, he was eighth or better at tight end in targets, catches, yardage, and fantasy points.
55:07So, uh, we thought we didn't like him as much in the drafts because they brought in Tyson, right?
55:12But obviously things changed without Tyson. He's very much on that tight end one radar this week.
55:17Where did they go to college? Uh, Kutztown University.
55:19Eastern, correct. I know that's wrong. Eastern, coastal Carolina.
55:22Also incorrect. He is the Aaron Dolan of NFL players.
55:25Oh, okay. Oregon and then Penn State. Or Penn State and then Oregon.
55:28I think Aaron was the other. Yeah, I think he was a wide receiver in college who became a test in the NFL.
55:35I think I like Jawan Johnson a little bit more than you guys this week.
55:39And you highlighted a really positive case for him.
55:41I did the same thing. Like, you look at everything he did last year.
55:45Once Tyler Shuck took over, he was tied at nine points per game, averaged 11.5 points per game with Shuck as his
55:51starting quarterback, which is more than serviceable. And again, the negative last year, do you want to know how many end zone targets he had?
55:58Seven. Zero. Seven. Zero for Jawan Johnson. Zero. That means that there's only room for that to go up.
56:04He was tied at nine when he had zero end zone targets.
56:07So there's at least room for there to be more there.
56:10And I'm expecting some garbage time again with a lot of points being scored in this one.
56:15I like Jawan Johnson. I don't know if he had four.
56:18Jawan Johnson? I have him with four. Are we sure about that?
56:21Four end zone targets? Yeah. I don't know. That's not what mine said.
56:25I have him with four. But we'll have to see.
56:28I'm looking at end zone targets right here. Should we do a board bet?
56:32Did Jawan Johnson have, I say Jawan Johnson had four end zone targets last season.
56:36He had zero end zone targets with Tyler Shuck as his quarterback.
56:39Oh, with Tyler Shuck. Okay. Much smaller. He was top seven in receptions.
56:43Top five in receiving yards with Tyler Shuck as his quarterback.
56:46Like he was really good. Yeah. Okay. All right.
56:49Gotcha. Chuck, Chuck. Lions, Lions, Lions, Lions, Lions. Yeah.
56:51Lions, Lions, Lions. By the way, the only reason I'm a little lower on Johnson than you is that tier.
56:57It's so close. There's so many guys like Goddard, Andrews, Kelsey, Ferguson, likely, Mayer, Talkinson.
57:01All those guys are right in that range. But if you want to start him this week, no qualms with that.
57:07Did we have to admit that we all were required to pick the Lions to be nice to Daniel?
57:12Yeah. No, you don't have to admit that. He put that in his contract.
57:16That's exactly right. No negativity about the Lions here.
57:18All right. That's true. Sweet. Next one. The Commanders and the Eagles.
57:22Mike's Eagles, of course, is a big one. Cannot wait for that.
57:25Here are the five lineup blocks according to Mike Clay.
57:28No major surprises. Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley. Hurts in a tasty matchup.
57:31Devontae Smith, big breakout year potentially. Jaden Daniels in a difficult matchup but still good enough to be started.
57:37Terry McLaurin, same goes. Difficult matchup but still good enough to be started.
57:40Maybe he sees some Quinjon Mitchell tonight. Mike, you wanted to discuss wide receivers.
57:44Knott's name, Terry McLaurin and Devontae Smith. Yeah, exactly.
57:47There's a lot of notable names here but the question is are we starting them in week one in the matchup for both sides?
57:53So we'll start with Stephon Diggs here. I'm a wide receiver 44.
57:57I have not, again, I have no exposure to him.
58:00You know, he was more palatable early in the offseason before he signed but when he signed his ADP spiked a little
58:06bit too much for me so I've been out on him and I just don't see a path here against a really good Eagles defense.
58:13Remember, he was the number one target in the Patriots high-scoring offense last year one that was high volume in the passing game.
58:19Easy schedule. No doubt about it. Now he goes to probably the number two in a much lower volume passing attack.
58:25Remember, no more Cliff Kingsbury. That's probably going to slow down the offense a little bit and of course with Jaden running
58:31that's going to lower the volume so I just don't know if there's enough there for frankly an older wide receiver to
58:37be a consistent fantasy option that we feel really good about so I'm not starting him in a tough matchup.
58:43You remember, the Eagles allowed six touchdowns wide receivers the entire season last year six touchdowns to receivers.
58:48So much of that secondary is back besides Reid Blank.
58:51Yeah, exactly. With Tariq Willen at it too. Yeah, yeah and you're going to see Cooper DeGene at safety more often this
58:57year he'll still be in the slop at State Lake.
59:00Yeah, they're in a really good spot so I'm avoiding Diggs this week in this matchup he might be a flex option in better matchups we'll see.
59:07For the Eagles you know, you have the clear number one with Devontae Smith after that I think they're going to shuffle guys around early on.
59:14Now, they took Makai Lemon in the first round but he missed a huge chunk of the offseason so I expect a
59:21slow start for him I'm not starting him Dontavian Wicks will benefit from that he'll be on the field more but you're
59:27really hoping that he has a long a long a big play a big touchdown something like that but I thought this
59:33was really fascinating Dontavian Wicks that three seasons with the Packers right?
59:36He had exactly one game with at least 24 fantasy points in all three seasons exactly one When will that game come?
59:42Exactly one in all three seasons otherwise in all of his other games he averaged 5.3 fantasy points per game Wow Just
59:49kind of an unreal sort of Good enough to get traded for you know, and get an extension for decent money but
59:55not good enough to be playing Yeah, and I've said Yeah, I don't Sorry, finish your I said not good enough to
60:01be in your lineup Yeah, yeah I was going to say we talked about this through August I don't know if they're
60:07going to be able to support a second consistent fantasy receiver with Jalen Hurts under center so this is an avoid for
60:13me I don't know You guys give me a different example Is there a backfield that feels like it may be more
60:19likely headed for a dead zone than the commanders backfield this season?
60:23Yes Who is it? The Panthers Panthers? Okay I think the I think the commanders are more I agree with you I
60:29think the commanders are more likely to be a dead zone I just don't know unless Rashad White takes control but I
60:35don't get that indication Yeah, so there are a few that come to mind I just wanted to explain my They're both
60:41right there Yeah, sort of my pessimism for them going into this game specifically I've got Rashad White clearly as the preferred
60:47target for week one He's my RB 33 but still well outside my top 20 I'm much more likely to start a
60:54flex wide receiver than I am a running back Bill Krosky-Merritt to Corey Krosky-Merritt is my running back 42 and there was
61:00a time remember going into last season we were like oh my god could the commanders really rely on this diamond in
61:06the rough day 3 selection well it's worth noting that the Eagles are the 4th biggest favorite of the week if you're
61:12favored to be up that means that the team who is down is more likely to be passing the football here's a
61:18little Mike Clay trivia for you over the last 6 games of last season how many targets did Bill Krosky-Merritt see?
61:24Zero Correct zero targets in the last 6 games now new system new coordinator first time play caller maybe David Blau taps
61:30into more of Bill Krosky-Merritt's passing game skills than we saw from Cliff Kingsbury but I mean this guy makes Derrick Henry
61:36look high volume in the passing department he had like 13 targets all year 9 catches he really needs to have 80
61:42plus yards and a touchdown to pay off so until further notice I am down on Bill Krosky-Merritt's his projection on the
61:49screen 11 carries for 45 yards 1 catch for 7 yards looks a lot like what we saw last night from Jadarian
61:55Price we keep making that comp but that might be the usage like Rashad White might be in a George Helani role
62:01and that's kind of what we're expecting and that's why these guys were so inexpensive in fantasy drafts they were just dead
62:07zone flyers I found myself drafting more JCM than I did Rashad White because he was the one generating the hype throughout
62:13the offseason so hopefully they do expand on his role he's an exciting player but we'll see I need to stand on
62:19business and just say that comparing Jadarian Price to Jokori Krosky-Merritt doesn't sit well with me and I understand the numbers might
62:26be the same that was basically Jadarian Price's line line I understand I didn't like it I hear you didn't like it
62:32you made the joke that he had almost as many targets last night as he had his entire college career that's factually
62:38correct he was about a third of the way there not bad we're all taking the Eagles in this game I'm assuming
62:44yes we are I was actually obligated to take the Eagles the producers taking the commanders getting frisky I think that Jaden
62:50Daniels I believe his best ever fantasy game was against the Eagles there was a high scoring game he had like five
62:56touchdowns and like 33 points so I don't know love that it's gonna be a tough one so a couple things here
63:02the game tonight is a reminder 835 is kickoff so later than a typical primetime game again they're playing in Australia oh
63:09that's no big deal for us on the east coast we'll just stay up a little bit later even it felt like
63:15an affront to society last night for me to have to be up until almost midnight like I did get to feed
63:21the baby I did the dream feed were you on the couch was last night I was downstairs on the couch I
63:27brought the baby has we have a rocking chair in her bedroom so it's you know what I'm tired this morning it's
63:33the cutest friggin thing in the world so of course it is yeah we're it's football season starting is not just football
63:39season it's also back to school so now I'm getting up much earlier than I need to normally because I have to
63:46get the kids on the bus into school and that so yeah I was hoping they didn't go to overtime last night
63:52I will say that for a minute there except for the fantasy points it should have went to overtime if he doesn't
63:58throw that pass that probably goes over this goes back this is back to couch season for me oh my god we
64:04don't do a lot of TV watching we don't do like but like once you get to football season it's like I'm
64:10there non-stop do you bring like a blanket and a pillow out with you for these late night games in case you
64:16fall asleep or do you refuse to allow yourself to fall asleep you guys know that I never fall asleep during the
64:22day we do know that me the dad with three young kids I mean don't you just have blankets and pillows on
64:29your sofa we do but do you sleep with those like when you take a nap do you sleep with those I
64:35don't nap you're not a napper I can't do it I don't like it I just feel like my days ruined if
64:41I nap I feel like I'm in a haze of course a computer would feel that way I don't nap either I
64:47wish I did but like I will fall asleep on the couch but that's like me falling asleep that's like you actually
64:53go into bed I don't nap no wow trust me I wish I would I'm power on in the morning one coffee
64:59and then I power off power on there is no standby mode alright well I'm curious if you guys nap please tell
