Brandon Aiyuk

NegativeRole3:00

FantasyPros expresses serious concern about Aiyuk's social media behavior and public conduct, arguing it signals potential locker room issues and mental instability that could damage his free agency prospects. Aiyuk has lost representation, publicly trashes team ownership and coaching staff, refuses to play, and appears to be holding the 49ers hostage despite receiving $50 million guaranteed. The source contends that the more antics Aiyuk creates, the fewer team options he will have as a free agent, as potential suitors will view him as a liability. The source adds that Aiyuk has only had two 1,000-yard seasons and is overpaid, noting that receivers are becoming commoditized in the draft and that Aiyuk's behavior mirrors Antonio Brown's trajectory—a cautionary tale of talent undermined by off-field conduct.

Dak Prescott

NegativeProjection17:27

ESPN's Ben Solak projects that Dak Prescott could throw for 5,000 yards in 2026. FantasyPros sells this projection, arguing that while the Cowboys have strong passing weapons (CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and an underrated tight end), the 5,000-yard threshold is unlikely. Matthew Stafford led the league with 4,700 yards last year, making 5,000 yards an outlier projection. Prescott will be efficient and finish top-five in passing yards, but is not expected to reach 5,000. The source also sells the projection citing the Cowboys' improved defense in the offseason, which should reduce the need for Prescott to throw as much. Dak had 4,500 passing yards in 2025 despite missing receivers (CeeDee Lamb out, other receivers out) and had the most pass attempts of his career; with a better defense, the Cowboys will have fewer offensive snaps and pass attempts, reducing Dak's volume. The source projects Dak will "cross 45 [touchdowns] for sure" but expects a decline in passing yards due to improved defense limiting offensive opportunities.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

NegativeRole60:38

The source expresses preference for Shedeur Sanders over Deshaun Watson at quarterback for the Browns, implying Watson's role or status is uncertain and that Sanders is the preferred option moving forward. The source states: "as long as Shador Sanders out there and not Deshaun Watson," indicating Watson is not the preferred QB option.

Insight page

Geno Smith

NegativeBust60:56

The source criticizes Geno Smith's 2025 performance, noting he 'thought he was Aaron Rodgers last year trying to make every throw' and had a '19 to 17 TD to interception ratio, 200 yards per game,' indicating poor decision-making and inefficient play that makes the Jets unlikely to contend in 2026.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeInjury35:54

FantasyPros expresses concern about Malik Nabers' health status heading into 2026. The source notes that with a healthy quarterback (Daniel Jones), healthy running back, and healthy Nabers, the Giants become more viable in the NFC East. However, the source also notes that "every single structurally offensive position has like a question mark around injuries," making the Giants' viability dependent on staying healthy. The source speaker explicitly states concerns about Nabers' health will be "a problem" for the Giants' outlook.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeRole25:03

Marvin Harrison is expected to "do something at some point" and make a big step up in the Cardinals offense in 2026. FantasyPros notes that Harrison has been a recurring disappointment ("Maserati Marv was too late"), with the team and analysts repeatedly expecting him to break out. However, the source projects that with more efficiency from Harrison and fewer pass attempts overall (due to the Cardinals' run-heavy approach), Harrison will finally deliver on his potential. If Harrison fails again, Michael Wilson could benefit as a Brissett favorite. The source's FantasyPros projections have Harrison for 1,000+ yards, but the source is skeptical given the Cardinals' shift toward the run game.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

NegativeInjury33:23

FantasyPros identifies Matthew Stafford's health as the sole risk factor for the Rams' Super Bowl contention. The source says the Rams are the team to beat in the NFC by a wide margin, with the only concern being "Ken Stafford, stay healthy." The Rams are favored at 4-5.5 odds to win the Super Bowl. The source plans to bet heavily on the Rams when odds boosts become available in the offseason. Stafford's durability is critical to the Rams' championship window.

Insight page

Maxx Crosby

PositiveRole60:35

The source notes the Raiders 'got Max Crosby back in the fold at least,' indicating a positive roster addition of the key defensive pass rusher returning to the team.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveProjection23:43

FantasyPros is selling Michael Wilson repeating a 1,000-yard season in 2026. Wilson had 1,006 yards in 2025 after two consecutive 500-yard seasons, but the source cites several headwinds: (1) Jacoby Brissett had to throw excessively in 2025 due to a poor Cardinals defense, inflating Wilson's volume; (2) Trey McBride is expected to take another step forward, reducing targets to Wilson; (3) the Cardinals went heavy on running backs in free agency and the draft (Algier, Love), signaling intent to run more and pass less; (4) Marvin Harrison is expected to improve, further reducing Wilson's target share. The source projects a 10% reduction in pass attempts, which combined with improved efficiency elsewhere, will push Wilson below 1,000 yards. However, if Marvin Harrison busts again, Wilson could be a Brissett favorite and exceed expectations.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeProjection12:12

Albert Breer reports that Patrick Mahomes is trending towards being cleared for 11-on-11 work at the start of training camp, signaling recovery progress from his injury. However, FantasyPros debate Week 1 availability. Wolcock buys the report and sees value on Mahomes and the Chiefs from a future betting perspective, citing Mahomes' competitive nature and the team's ability to rest him early given their schedule and backup quarterback support. Welsh and Pisapia are more skeptical, arguing that with an early bye in Week 5, the Chiefs should rest Mahomes through the first four games to ensure full health, especially given the suspect early schedule (Broncos, Colts, Dolphins, Raiders). Welsh projects the Chiefs could go 3-1 or 2-2 without Mahomes and prefers to have him fully healthy for December rather than risk re-injury in September.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveBreakout24:43

Trey McBride is expected to take another step forward in 2026 with Jacoby Brissett as the Cardinals' quarterback. FantasyPros notes that when Carson Beck looked his best, he had tight ends thrown to, suggesting the tight end position gets a boost under Brissett. McBride's expected improvement will reduce target share for Michael Wilson and other receivers, making McBride a focal point of the Cardinals' passing attack.

0:20It's me, Joe Pisapia. And today you're going to notice something.
0:23It's all the hosts. That's right. It's myself. It's the Welsh and the Seth Wolcock talking about NFL narratives.
0:28D-Bro is off somewhere again on vacation. We'll see.
0:31He'll be back next week, I believe. Spending time with your family.
0:34Whatever. And then Andrew Erickson's internet was melted today from all the heat in the Northeast.
0:38And it's 100 degrees here in New Jersey, but my internet is working.
0:42So we got Seth Wolcock last minute to step in.
0:45The pinch hitter of all pinch hitters. Erickson goes to the bench.
0:48Wolcock, you're up. He has not seen any of the topics.
0:51He knows nothing. Seth is the adrenaline pumping for you right now in this show that you're going to come in hot,
0:57give your opinions, and then just walk away. Well, I'll tell you what, man.
1:01It goes to prove that the hosts at Fantasy Pros are arguably the hardest working people in this company.
1:06So excited to chop it up with you and talk all things NFL in a time where there are more storylines than
1:12we would think at this time of year. Oh, and Welsh, I don't think it's even up to question.
1:17We are definitely the most responsible, the hardest working, and I would also dare to say the best looking.
1:23I mean, just spitting facts. Just spitting facts at the top of the show.
1:27I love the theory of this. I love the all-host show here because we have to present and move through and create
1:33the narratives and the storylines of the show. And now it's like the kids are running free.
1:37We get to get these analysts out of here.
1:40We get to kind of go nuts here, so I'm excited.
1:43Get out of here, nerds. Okay, so today we are going to talk about some off-season narratives where you get an idea
1:49of how, you know, the guys think things are going this off-season, whether or not some of these concepts that have been,
1:55you know, kind of falling into place here in the social media specter, in the media specter just completely.
2:00If we're really buying into them or not, we think they're kind of false narratives or lazy or what have you.
2:06We're also going to talk about first-to-worst candidates as well.
2:09Some of the teams that finish last every year, there's a couple, at least one, that finishes first in their division.
2:14We're going to rank off last year's worst and see who has the best record of actually or the best chance of being first.
2:21And we're also going to talk about some camp buzz.
2:24But first, we're going to talk about some headlines.
2:26Before we do, make sure you subscribe to this channel right now.
2:29Make sure you hang out with us. Ring the bell till it goes ding on the tailgate where we just talk football and hang out with our friends.
2:37And I know so many of you are dropping great comments.
2:40We appreciate that. This is a great community. And we're going to be live in season every day talking football.
2:46So get ready, everybody. Big things are happening. So when you drop your comments and subscribe to our new channel, you could win our latest giveaway, the B.

3:02Drop your comments. Like this video. Easy things to do.
3:05All right. Let's start here with Brandon Ayuk because Welsh, as we know by your hat and by my 15 years of
3:11experience with you, you are a big 49er guy.
3:13I was alone on an island last week because we had a little discussion about Brandon Ayuk.
3:18And I said, I like the social media stuff.
3:21It's fun. I know he's just kind of spouting off, doing his thing.
3:24But I think it's going a little too far.
3:27And I think it's going to turn some people off.
3:29However, I was on an island in this opinion.
3:32Fitzy and Erickson are telling me that, no, it doesn't matter.
3:35Nobody cares. All this stuff. However, a little bit of news just broke here recently where the athletics, Nick, and forgive me if I say this name wrong.
3:43Job Vala? Job Vala. I think it's Job Vala.
3:45You know what? I was going to work on it before the show.
3:49And then Erickson's internet broke and we miss it.
3:51Now he's trying to get back into the room.
3:54So I'm not going to let him get back into the room.
3:57I already told him he's off the show. He's done for the day.
4:00Hit the showers, Erickson. Hit the showers. We already got a replacement for you.
4:04Go enjoy the weekend. But Mr. Job Vala is saying that recent social media posts could prove quote unquote concerning for the
4:10Washington commanders for an office who seem like the favorite.
4:13Go ahead. I'm going to unleash the Welsh here with some big opinions on Brandon Ayuk.
4:17Go ahead. Joe, before the show, tells me about this.
4:20Utter shock I have that you had a panel of people sitting here being like, well, you know, like Ayoub, this is fun.
4:27What are you people talking about? He trying to be clear about this and clean about this.
4:31Seth, do you see all of the rage flowing into Welsh's frontal cortex at the same time where he can't even formulate words?
4:38This is amazing, Seth, right? I can see it less than if it were you, Joey, where I can see that big, beautiful bald head.
4:44It's fair. It's a little easier to see. As a 49er fan, obviously there's an annoyance to it.
4:49But he is clearly on an island of his own.
4:52And I think that it's like, so if you take the pieces out, what he's doing on social media looks like a crazy person.
4:59And we have a historical line of wide receivers, specifically wide receivers for whatever the reason is, that have gone off the deep end.
5:05Obviously, Antonio Brown is like the common denominator of what everybody goes to.
5:09But he has – what he's doing is mostly pressed against by most people.
5:13They don't like how he's publicly doing this. Maybe it was fun and it was cute.
5:17Maybe that's what's getting some of the guys that were on here being like, oh, he's just trying to press.
5:23But he's lost his agent. And there was a communication with his agent for like a year, by the way.
5:28That was a big thing. He was out. Oh, I just lost my – I've been out with an agent for a year.
5:34And then they just filed – we don't know if it was IUC or the agency that had filed for no representation.
5:40I mean he's – in public tampering, he looks like a crazy person.
5:44There is nobody in the corner. There's nobody in the corner that is giving any like actual advice in here.
5:50So, I mean you're not playing this fun game of leverage where you're just like, oh, yeah, okay, you know, you guys
5:56are kind of doing this little goofy thing. And I need to get out of here and go play football.
6:01No, it looks far beyond that. Like it's not – like there's a level of maybe like mental instability that's going on with it.
6:08But furthermore, outside of that, there is no actual representation of him doing the right thing.
6:12Every single day – what's the post today? Going to be a commander soon and then he's just like dancing to a
6:18song, throws the thing where he's throwing the money out there.
6:21I don't know how anybody can look at this situation.
6:24We have a team that spent whatever $50 million guaranteed, can't get work out of him.
6:28A player that refuses to play, that publicly trashes the owners, the GMs, the coaches, publicly trashing everybody, taking their money, laughing
6:34about it, and talking about playing for another team.
6:37He is holding them hostage. He's trying to blackmail them.
6:40How would any other team be sitting out there being like, oh, yeah, this is going to be great when he's a free agent.
6:46That's the guy that I want to bring into the locker room.
6:49He's going to be a great locker room guy.
6:52That's where I was astonished. Because I thought we'd just come on here and be like, yeah, man, Ayuk is just kind
6:58of being – what a silly goose this is.
7:00This is going to end kind of bad and whatever.
7:03But to hear that everybody thinks teams are going to be falling over themselves to pick him up, this guy hasn't played
7:09in like a year and a half, two years.
7:12He has not played in a while. He is publicly trashing everybody.
7:15Looks like a locker room cancer. There's only so much everybody can take.
7:19And I think we are out of the space where anybody can take the Brandon Ayuk stuff.
7:23Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm too attached to it.
7:26But it gets weirder every single day and astonished that more people weren't on your side of this, Joe, that, yeah, duh,
7:32I don't think that what he's doing is making a great representation for any team to watch him.
7:37That's not good. I would say just be quiet and go get your money, man.
7:41That's what I would be doing because the last thing I want to do – what I want to do is I want to bring more teams.
7:48I want to have more options. But the more you go out and you create antics for yourself, the less options you
7:54have potentially of other suitors who could eventually drive up the price.
7:58Because if you're a free agent in a year from now, that's going to be something everybody is going to look at
8:04and say, well, we bring this guy in. How much of trouble is he going to be?
8:08Now, if we – first of all, well, you can have a cigarette if you want now after that because I'm sure that felt really good for you.
8:16We don't get the sponsor yet, but I heard they're getting that Zingum.
8:20So maybe the nicotine gum. I mean great. Pop some of that in.
8:23Have you ever seen a kid when they first get their phone?
8:26By the way, this is the last thing I'm going to say.
8:30You ever seen like when a kid first gets their phone and then they kind of like retract a little bit and
8:36they're alone and they're making videos and they're like doing – like that's how he seemed.
8:40He seems like a child that has nobody helping to parent to put him in a right position and he's sitting there
8:46making all the wrong decisions and it's like this isn't good.
8:49This person is not making the right decisions and they have no support system around them.
8:54It's crazy. Seth, you are – God blessed us today with you because you're a Steelers fan who may be able to speak to this a little bit.
9:01Because there was a fellow named Antonio Brown who certainly had a very complex relationship with social media and it certainly did
9:07unravel before our very eyes over a few seasons.
9:10So what's your take on Iuke and do you think the commanders eventually will bite the bullet anyway because of how much they need another wide receiver?
9:17Or do you think this is going to turn their gaze to a Keenan Allen or somebody else?
9:22I'm so glad you brought up AB because there's always this like line of demarcation when it comes to, hey, we're willing
9:28to put up with his antics and his BS because the production is so good.
9:32Right. Brandon Iuke only had two 1,000-yard receiving seasons.
9:35The year after that, Jawan Jennings out of everyone also had a 1,000-yard season in this same offense.
9:40And keep in mind, that was 2023 when he went for 1,300-plus yards.
9:43It's like it's so far in the rear view that like and like you look at this upcoming 2027 draft class, what
9:49the 2026 and 2025 draft class just gave us from a pass catching standpoint.
9:53Receivers are becoming a dime a dozen. Like I get he's still if we are ranking just on pure talent, maybe a top 30, top 35 guy.
10:01He was overpaid here in San Francisco, obviously. And I think the number one winner out of all these antics happening right
10:07now, Vontaze Burfik because for years and years, everyone thought that he was the guy who gave Antonio Brown CTE.
10:12I just think wide receivers, you give them money, they get a little crazy.
10:16Like I don't know about you guys. So like my upbringings, there was not a lot of money in my household.
10:22And you did not throw money away. You do not throw sandwich bags away, let alone $24 million.
10:27So I just cannot imagine him leaving that amount of money on the table just not to show up for rehab out of all things.
10:34The last thing I'll say, Joe, is when you ask the question, like, is he going to be a commander?
10:39I want to affirmatively say no. And I don't think it is no at this point.
10:44I think the percentages have increasingly gotten worse and worse and worse.
10:47If the commanders would make move, the reason that it's not a no right now is the commanders clearly have space for another playmaker.
10:53There are guys that are in the open market and that they have not made that move.
10:58It does reek of them potentially, you know, waiting this out.
11:01I think it's only a matter of time, though, that they go, they make the move and we can all move on.
11:07And then it's going to create a whole nother scuttlebutt around him.
11:10But there's also the narrative, at least the narrative.
11:13Maybe there's also truth in it, too, that they actually, you know, really do have a strong bond is, you know, why
11:19you can and Jane Daniels play together. There are issues, right?
11:22Like, so, like, you know, reuniting with your old QB, you know, I mean, didn't work out for Devante Adams.
11:28Former GM, too. Former GM, too. Great point. And Wilcox, to your point earlier, Antonio Brown is going to run through a couple of seasons here.
11:35110, 1499, 129 catches, 1698 yards, so 136 for 1834, 106 for 1284, 101 for 1533.
11:39He was not good. He was dominant. Okay, so.
11:42So good that Tom Brady said, come on in, baby.
11:44Like, you can have the guest bedroom, you can have the master bedroom, you know, you can hang out with my wife, whatever you want to do, man.
11:52Well, I think that was the one line that started to get crossed there.
11:56And then next thing you know, there's no sharing of that.
11:59All right. Let's share some camp buzz with the guys and talk about if they're buying or selling.
12:04Now that we put the brand, I, you can matter at least to the side for now.
12:08I'm sure it'll be something we talk about all July.
12:11Uh, let's talk about buying or selling sports illustrated Albert Breer believing Patrick Mahomes is quote trending towards being cleared for 11
12:17on 11 work at the start of training camp.
12:20Wilcock, you buying this or selling it? I'm kind of buying it, Joe.
12:23Honestly, like Albert Breer, we know this guy. He's, you know, usually on my BS detector, he's low on it.
12:29I feel like especially during this time of the season, but half of homes, we know this, like this guy has a
12:35par three golf course, like in his property, right?
12:37Like I cannot imagine this guy sitting on the couch, not trying to golf, not trying to go out, sling the pill a little bit around.
12:44So I'm here honestly. And like from a future betting perspective, I think there's some value on my homes.
12:50I think there's some value on the chief. So I'm slowly getting bought back in.
12:54I just don't know if they can fix the offense altogether.
12:57The major concern there still being the Rashi Rice situation.
13:00Well, I'm still selling this because I feel like with the, or I am, I'm selling week one my homes because I
13:06think it's a bad idea because it doesn't matter.
13:08The first couple of games that they have anyway are, you know, suspect situations.
13:12Who cares about September? Get healthy, get in the playoffs.
13:15They have an early buy in week five. If you start them on the pop in four weeks, you can have them activated for week six.
13:22And then it's, you hope that you're having the healthiest version of him.
13:25That's what I would do with the franchise quarterback that I'm paying millions upon millions of dollars.
13:30But Welsh, what do you think? You think my homes are going to say, no, I'm the quarterback.
13:35I'm going to find a way to get there week one and screw it.
13:39I think this reeks of positive, positive, positive, and then boom, four week pop completely.
13:43I think this is. See, all the old guys are so skeptical.
13:46Young Seth, just medicine. Medicine is improved Welsh medicine.
13:49Medicine is better than ever right now. This guy's a freak.
13:52Come on. Yeah. Well, if he went over to Germany and had some infusion or whatever, like McCaffrey, maybe I'd feel a little bit better about it.
13:59But like, I don't think so. They also brought in Justin Fields.
14:02Like, I think you bring in a quarterback like that in the protection that this team is going to maybe need some support early on in the season.
14:10And obviously, like with the injury issues, you want to have like long-term protection with it.
14:15But like, they could push this. I'm not, I don't think this is an unobtainable thing for him to be available for week one.
14:21But yeah, this is me probably being old, old fuddy-duddy like Joe and thinking, why?
14:25Why? This is a, this is a basketball, by the way.
14:28You can't, I'm going to sit them out every single game and not play back-to-backs and stuff.
14:33But don't play them for the first couple because you did bring in a veteran quarterback.
14:37And you spent a lot of money on a heavy running back attack, too.
14:41Absolutely. You've got the running game that you can rely on early on in the season.
14:46You're not, you didn't lose your pass catchers. You just, you just foreseeably still have Rasheed Rice.
14:50And you've got a veteran quarterback that can, that can facilitate this.
14:54But like, having trusting Justin Fields in the past, like from a Steelers standpoint, I don't think that's the guy you really want.
15:00Do you mean Justin Fields who had a 4-2 record, almost 5-1 with that crazy comeback that he just fell short of?
15:06Yeah, but that's funny with TJ Watt and the boys under one of the best head coaches of all time, Mike Tomlin.
15:12Look what happened to him last year with Aaron Glenn and company.
15:15Yeah, Andy Reid. Andy Reid's a nobody, for sure.
15:18Andy Reid is just a college coach coming in.
15:20And yeah, look at the weapons around him. And what does that offense also build around, too?
15:25Little out routes to Rasheed Rice and Travis Kelsey get yak.
15:28Ken Walker, finally a running back that they, I'm fully, you know what?
15:32The more we talk about this, the more I don't believe that he's going to be available for week one.
15:37What odds would you need to bet that he is available week one, Patrick Mahomes?
15:41Like, what do you mean? Like, if I say even, like, I would bet even money.
15:46I would bet minus 120, I think, on it, that Pat Mahomes is a chief starter by week one.
15:51Why? But think about this, Seth. Like, okay, they play the Broncos week one.
15:55They're in their own building. Okay, like, that's going to be a tough game even if Mahomes is healthy.
16:00Sure. It just is. After that, they play the Colts.
16:03They play the Dolphins. They play the Raiders. Are you telling me that Andy Reid can't squeeze out a couple victories there
16:09without Mahomes and have him ready for this? Like, I think you can.
16:12To me, it's like, listen, Patty, I love you, baby.
16:15You're my guy. Go get healthy. Go get right.
16:17Take that extra week with the bye week. That gives you five extra weeks of getting 100% because the last thing you'd
16:23want is a re-injury, a reoccurrence, a weakness. Something happened on the field where he's not 100% ready to go.
16:29I want him chomping in the bit, not terrified to go back out there.
16:33Not to say that he's, like, scared of it, but I'm – if I'm Andy Reid, I'm telling him, Patrick, I care about December.
16:39I don't care about September, especially with the way the schedule lays out because I think no matter what, they're 2-2 or 1-3.
16:46No, I'm sorry, 3-1 potentially in that schedule the way it opens up anyway.
16:50You can't beat the Raiders. You can't beat the Daniel Jones coming back.
16:53Colts. I think, again, you can figure it out.
16:56Find a way. There's a little bit of toughness in there.
16:59Like, if he truly were 100%, I think they would press it.
17:02But, like, no matter what, I think all we're going to get is puppy dogs and rainbow type of information out there.
17:08Like, well, he's going to be cleared and he's going to be this, and I do too.
17:13And Patrick Mahomes probably does as well. But I just – I think week one is a tall ask for when they
17:19brought in a veteran quarterback in the team that they've built around.
17:22All right, next up, ESPN's Ben Solak believes that Dak Prescott could throw for 5,000 yards in 2026.
17:27Welch, buy or sell the idea of Dak hitting 5K.
17:30Yeah, I mean, I think the possibility floats out there.
17:32I mean, I kind of want to be like ifs and buts were candies and nuts.
17:37We'd all have a Merry Christmas, if you know what I mean.
17:40But I'm going to sell it. I think I'm going to sell this idea.
17:44Obviously, they have the pieces around. I love Pickens and Lamb combo.
17:47The Florano, I think, is super underrated as well.
17:50It's an offense that definitely is going to be built around passing.
17:53But, you know, there's a lot of injury things are floating out there.
17:57And, you know, what, 4,700 yards was our top dog for Matthew Stafford last year.
18:01I think this is just more like fun speak.
18:03You know, it's like he could do this. And it's like what that really means is like is he going to be top five in passing yards?
18:11This offense is going to be built around a passing offense?
18:14Yes. I believe that's going to happen. I believe he will be efficient.
18:17He's got the weapons for it. Do I believe he will actually throw for 5,000 yards?
18:22No, I do not. So I guess I'm going to sell this.
18:25I want to buy it, but my problem is I actually think they fixed some of the ills of the defense in the offseason.
18:32So if they were going into the same 2026 with the defense of 2025, I would actually say sign me up.
18:37Like I'm good for this. In fact, I would run to go bet Dak Prescott to lead the league in passing yards.
18:43Fair point, yeah. But the fact that defense has improved, Seth, means I'm going to sell this.
18:48But I do think he's going to cross 45 for sure.
18:51Yeah, like I love Ben Solick, another young guy in the industry here.
18:55Stroudsburg PA native as well. So, you know, love the hometown kid here.
18:58I ain't smoking what he's selling right here. I'll be honest because it's exactly what you said there, Joey.
19:03Like the first part of that is like this defense is way better, man.
19:07Not only did they go out and use both those first round picks on really good defensive players.
19:12So one of those is Caleb Downs, which we've had great players on that Ohio State defense.
19:17Captain Jack, Malik Williams, so many different players. Arvell Reese, of course, as well.
19:21And that defense was always driven through what Caleb Downs could do out there, whether it's playing nickel, whether it's coming down,
19:27playing the star, whether it's dropping back into coverage.
19:29So for me, like this defense is going to be better.
19:32And like Dak Prescott last year only had 4,500 yards.
19:35Like I know he wasn't 100% healthy at times.
19:37I know, of course, Seedy missed. And Lamb was out for some time too, right?
19:42But guess what? The most pass attempts of his career.
19:44Yeah. Was in that model as well. And it still was 4,500.
19:48And what happens if Seedy Lamb or Pickens goes down?
19:50Like they have Florinoy, who was a good story last year.
19:53Besides that, it's like Johnny Mingo, who they gave up all that draft capital for.
19:58Yeah, but Ferguson stepped up in that 42. I want to give Jake Ferguson some love.
20:02Yeah, you got, I like Ferguson and I like Shoemaker.
20:05But like at the wide receiver position in particular, it is scary.
20:08Like it's all the old guys we rooted for at one point in fantasy.
20:12Tyler Johnson, Denzel Mims. Like it's not a great wide receiver core outside of those top two guys.
20:17Can I ask real quick? They were the fifth worst graded defense according to PFF last season.
20:21What do you think? Just put a number on it, Joe.
20:24Where they go and what that defensive push potentially takes away from the passing game.
20:29Do you know what I'm saying? Like they are.
20:31You're saying they were the fifth worst defense last year?
20:34Fifth worst. So PFF grade, fifth worst. I would say they're probably around 15, 16.
20:38And that's all they have to be to compete for that division.
20:41And that's all they have to be to be a playoff team this year.
20:45If the Giants backdoor their way into the playoffs, it's because the Cowboys failed.
20:49I'm telling you that right now. It's either or.
20:51I don't think it's the Eagles, the Cowboys and the Giants.
20:54I think if if that defense fails and it's not what I think it could be this year, then I think the Giants could overtake them potentially.
21:02Yeah. My point to that would be is if they now become a middle line defense in the NFL, what could that
21:08what what is the equation to what that takes away from potential pass attempts?
21:12Because the defense is so bad. They're churning over to more offensive snaps.
21:15Could that take away 2% of the production? Maybe that's 20 to 30 pass attempts.
21:19And now you're talking about needing more efficiency. If we really want to hang on the words where he says he's like
21:255000 yard passer, you're going to have do you have two guys that can stretch the field?
21:30Absolutely. And CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens playmakers beyond belief.
21:33But like the amount of efficiency you've got to have with maybe a little bit less on the playing side, because that
21:39defense is going to hold a bit more, you know, might take some of that might take some of that offensive off the off the top.
21:46Now, by the way, Seth, you and Ben Solak, you guys play cornhole together in central Pennsylvania hanging out?
21:51Never playing cornhole. Might have saw him out there on the can jam field at one point.
21:56I was a little nervous to go talk to him.
21:59So yeah, yeah. Big can jam. He's a ladder ball.
22:01What is can jam? What is can jam? You know what can jam is, brother?
22:06Never heard of it in my life. You Arizonaite.
22:08I don't even know what disc golf is either, do you?
22:11Bro. I know. Do you even frog horse right there?
22:14Do you even frog? I don't know what can jam or pan am was that you said.
22:18I'm a West Coast guy. They have can jam on the West Coast, especially in California.
22:23What is it? Go ahead, Seth. It is. It is.
22:26There are two barrels. Basically think small trash cans.
22:28You have a Frisbee. You're throwing it over top to a partner and then they have to put it like they like
22:34bash it into the like the hole of the garbage can.
22:37But if you slot it and you throw it across and like there's a little slot in the front of the garbage can, it goes right in.
22:45You win the game. So best yard game. Sounds riveting.
22:47Can we do a yard games show at one point?
22:50Joey, just like rank them. All I know is that a fantasy football expo, if we can get our hands on a couple of these things.
22:57Oh, I'll bring Can Jam, baby. It'll be at the Airbnb.
23:00Don't you worry. You can finish up your tailgate recording and come outside and throw a little jam.
23:05I would say bring the ladder ball. The cornhole is a little hard to bring.
23:09Those are very heavy. Is ladder golf hillbilly golf?
23:12Is that what that is? No, ladder balls when you throw the ladders and you got the little like it's almost We
23:18call that hillbilly golf around these parts. So I never heard ladder ball before.
23:22That I've never heard. See, everybody's learning something new today.
23:24You know Can Jam. Now I've heard ladder ball called hillbilly golf, which I'm sure.
23:29Do you guys not play video games? No, no.
23:31No. Other people who don't live in Arizona where it's 120 degrees all the time go outside.
23:36Yeah, we don't go outside. Yeah, we go outside.
23:38So I don't know what you're talking about. All right.
23:41Last one here for the camp was Michael Wilson apparently told ESPN.
23:44ESPN's John Weinfuss that talks on extension are going great.
23:47Seth Wilcock buy or sell Michael Wilson repeating a thousand yard season in 2026.
23:51I'm going to sell it, but I'm very happy if he cashes in right now.
23:55Michael Wilson, of course, one of the few good Stanford products we've had over the last couple of years.
24:00Of course, you can throw out like Alec Ayo Manor, David Bailey before he transferred down there to Lubbock.
24:05So I've always had a soft spot for this guy in my heart.
24:09I definitely think there's like some risk versus reward like in giving him an extension because you look at the passing numbers
24:15and how much Jacoby Brissett especially had to throw the ball because of how bad that defense was.
24:20I think that was low inflated. Michael Wilson's like this is like the risk versus reward for him, though.
24:25Like he has to stay with kind of a dog crap organization that treats their employees and just entire facility kind of like crap.
24:32So you either stay there and hopefully get the bag coming off a 1000 yard season after two back to back 500 yard seasons to begin your career.
24:39So like it's like, do you take the bag but stay where you're unhappy, you know, or take that new job and and maybe you get less money.
24:47So I'm going to sell it. I just think Trey McBride is going to take another step forward here with Jacoby Brissett
24:53as a quarterback potentially for a lot of the season.
24:56Carson Beck, when he looked his best, he had rock powers that he was thrown to.
25:00So I think the tight end gets a boost here.
25:03And then like Marvin Harrison has to do something at some point, dude.
25:07Maserati Marv was too late. We keep telling ourselves that every year.
25:10I know every year we look at why. Why?
25:12It's like that meme of the guy with the stick who's poking a thing and do something.
25:17Marvin Harrison, do something. Come on, do something. Can you give me Joey before we move on?
25:22Can you give me your best Maserati Marv, like your Gus Johnson impression?
25:25Because like that's all time stuff right there from from big, big Gus.
25:29I don't think I have a Gus Johnson invitation.
25:31I did do a really funny Jerry Lewis the other day on the MLB live stream.
25:36Okay. Because somebody has a question. They screwed up the name of the player and they said Jerry Lewis instead of Royce Lewis.
25:42And I performed that verbally. Joe starts going, lady.
25:45Why? Why? With the batting average in the Babbitt.
25:47All right. Let's let's talk about Michael Wilson on your point of view, Welsh, because this is a guy, you know, two
25:53straight years is just kind of like showing up 500 yards.
25:56Okay. Whatever. Then thousand and six last year, it felt like 995 of them came in the second half there where things just kind of just tore up.
26:04It's getting to a point. Like I'm on these shows where I was like, fade him, fade him, fade him.
26:09I was like, I didn't realize anybody was attacking him in the first place.
26:13But if he kind of falls in my lap in fantasy drafts, like I'm not going to, I'm not going to like
26:19shun him either from my fantasy team. Cause there is a world we live in where Marvin Harrison just never happens.
26:25I mean, if you look at fantasy, if you go over to fantasy pros, by the way, and you want to look
26:31at projections, our projections do have him for a thousand, a thousand and six yards.
26:35So he is one of the last year. Terrific.
26:38Pretty much. Yeah. It looks like one of how we have like doubled up numbers.
26:42Let's call it like 22 or 20 somewhere between 20 and 22 wide receivers are projected to have a thousand yards and
26:48they are projecting him to repeat that. I'm going to sell it though.
26:51I think a lot of the points you guys have probably talked about weeks prior and kind of what Seth was talking about.
26:58They went on a heavy run, a free agency and the draft at running backs.
27:02That probably wasn't a coincidence or an accident that they went and got Algier and drafted love.
27:06They clearly want to get the ball on the ground a little bit more, have a little bit more control, not be reliant on the pass.
27:14And I do think that Marvin Harrison is ready to make a big step up in this offense.
27:19And on top of it, Trey McBride's the top guy.
27:21So if you're going to take away a significant amount of pass attempts and by significant, it's like maybe 10% or something like that.
27:28I think with more efficiency from Marvin Harrison, less attempts that go to Michael Wilson.
27:32I just think he's going to fall short of the thousand yards.
27:35Cool that they're excited about the contract extensions and he feels good.
27:39Great. Somebody needs it. You know, Brissette freaking out.
27:41Everyone's freaking out over there. I just think the Cardinals are in one of the toughest divisions out there.
27:46Defensively in division is going to be really, really tough for them overall.
27:50And I just think this team is trying to slow down the game and try to have more clock control with the run.
27:56And I think that's going to take away from Michael Wilson.
27:59But if Marvin Harrison falls on his face again and is just one of the biggest busts and failures, Michael Wilson clearly was a Brissette favorite.
28:06So I wouldn't say it's not a possibility. I kind of agree with you.
28:10If he were to fall in like fantasy drafts, I'd be interested in stuff.
28:14But I think it's going to be a whirlwind.
28:17A couple of weeks where he's great. A couple of weeks where he's down.
28:20It's a Trey McBride show. All right. We're going to get to the narratives coming up next.
28:25Before we do, shout out to our sponsor, Hard Rock Bet.

31:25And Seth, are you as infuriated as I am about that red card that was not a red card that wasn't even
31:31called as a penalty on the field? And now we lose our best goal scorer for a game against Belgium on Monday?
31:37It's ridiculous. I also had the two shots on goal for a battle again that night, too.
31:42So yeah, that was an absolute heartbreak. They already had one.
31:45Wake up, Welsh! It was tough, Joey. I mean, we can beat Belgium, though, without him.
31:49We really can't. I agree, but I'm annoyed. Here's what I'm annoyed about.
31:53This is a stupid process. So you're telling me there's a process where you can appeal it and they can get more
31:59suspension time as opposed to a time where you can't appeal it to get less.
32:03How the hell does that function? I really appreciate your guys' love of the sport for like three weeks.
32:08I think it's really cool that you pick three weeks out of the four years.
32:12That's not true. I'm a Juventus guy. You do talk about soccer a lot on football.
32:16I watch a million soccer. I watch a little Premier League.
32:19Ted Lasso's my favorite show. I can't say that I'm a specialist, okay?
32:23If Ted Lasso's your favorite show, clearly you're a soccer guy.
32:26What do I say? Silly me. But Seth, I just think it's stupid.
32:30It's terrible. Especially in our barn, Joe. On our barn and our home turf, it just felt like the refs got overwhelmed
32:36there for a minute and they just kind of let whatever fly.
32:39So, yeah. I'm heartbroken, but we'll live on, baby.
32:41We'll beat Belgium without them. All right. Good. I'm glad you're excited about it.
32:45All right. I'm glad you're feeling confident. All right.
32:48Next up here, we're going to talk about some narratives.
32:50All right. So we're going to go through these pretty quickly here.
32:54I want you to give me your take. Well, we've got a lot of them to go through and I want to
33:00hit as many as we can here before we go play our game, before we get out of the tailgate today and
33:06get kicked out of the parking lot. So let's start with a little true or false here on these narratives.
33:11I'm going to throw some of these out there.
33:14These are some of the headlines, some narratives, some thoughts that seem to be very prevalent across the NFL landscape right now.
33:20If you're looking at any content anywhere, social media, you know, old school media, whatever kind of media you're looking at.
33:26The Rams are the team to beat in the NFC by a wide margin.
33:30Seth Wilcock, is that true or false? I think it's true, Joey.
33:33Honestly, the only thing you have to worry about is like Ken Stafford, stay healthy.
33:37And even if he can't, like I'm more believer in Tyson than most people.
33:41Like that's not who I want as my quarterback going down a postseason stretch.
33:45But with Miles Garrett in tow, man, like I'm just waiting.
33:48They're like, you know, anywhere from four to five and a half right now to win the Super Bowl.
33:53As soon as I get like 100% odds boost this summer when the books are like, hey, there's nothing to bet on.
33:59Here's something for the futures market. 100% going on the Rams right there for multiple units.
34:03By a lot. I'm not sure. But it does feel like on paper, at least it's the same thing of last year.
34:09They're a very top heavy team. But my God, the top of that team is so talented and so heavy that if
34:15they do just stay healthy, it's very hard not to think that they are the odds on favor, Welsh.
34:21A lot of people say that about me too.
34:23Very top. Very talented. Because your brain's that big, Welsh.
34:26That's right. Yeah, it's because of my brain. Because your brains.
34:29I would say the better way to phrase this is the NFC West is the place that is the place to beat.
34:35Because we're completely discounting the Seahawks here, which is crazy.
34:38Obviously, like Homerism a bit, but the 49ers are a scary team.
34:41It's the NFC West is the place to beat.
34:43But yeah, like in general, like the Rams are the scariest version of that.
34:47But that division as a whole, it's why the Cardinals are kind of laughable in this and what we're going to talk about later.
34:54But I'll kind of say yes, but let's just make sure we also focus that there are three teams in the NFC
35:00West that I think easily could be Super Bowl contenders compared to any of the other teams in the NFC division.
35:06All right, next up here is the Giants narrative that they are now very viable because of simply the regime change.
35:11So getting rid of the one coach and switching over to, again, Hall of Fame coach is enough, regardless of any of
35:18the other injury returns or any of the other ills that might suit the Giants, or even an ill like Matt Nagy
35:24doesn't matter because all that matters is Harbaugh's there.
35:26Is that true or false, Welsh? I'm going to say true, actually, because the way you phrased it was, are they viable?
35:32And yes, I think they are more viable. The Eagles look a little bit more susceptible.
35:36You know, if you're taking off of like A.J.
35:39Brown, maybe that'll be a nothing burger. I think it's hard to do this when you look at the Cowboys, you look
35:45at the Eagles in general, and you look at, you know, a healthy commanders team with Jaden Daniels, not with Brandon Ayuk.
35:51But like the general statement of are they more viable?
35:54Yeah, you have to imagine with the healthy quarterback, the healthy running back, the healthy neighbors.
35:58But those are the things that also make it like a quick no if you wanted to do that.
36:03Every single structurally offensive position has like a question mark around injuries.
36:07It's a kind of tough division still, but I'll just say yes because of how you phrased it.
36:12How about you, Wilcox? Do you think that the Giants are now all of a sudden just back in it despite some, you know, big question?
36:19I mean, Malik, neighbors is a huge question. I don't think Kemp's got to be as big of an injury question personally.
36:25I know some people disagree with me, but everyone just like buying back in on the Giants.
36:29I know they were very close last year, too.
36:32They had a lot of games in the fourth quarter or second half that they had leads and they blew leads or
36:38they just couldn't pull it out there. So do you think that Harbaugh is just the cure all for what ails the Giants?
36:44So because of how you phrased the question, I'm going to say false.
36:48And it's not because I don't believe in the Giants, because like I'll tell you right now, I thought about yesterday pulling
36:54out my 401k to go buy some more Jackson Dart rookie cards.
36:57Like I believe in this kid that much right now.
37:00I believe in Malik neighbors. I believe in Cam Scadaboo.
37:03And like, well, let's be honest, their defensive front, one of the wildest, honestly, that I've seen in my time covering this game.
37:09So I do like this team, but I honestly think like John Harbaugh is a little bit of a fraud.
37:15Like, I don't want to say that. Like, what a shock.
37:18A Steeler fan. Coming from the Steeler fan. Oh, my God.
37:21In the same show. Wait, Welsh. In the same show, we got Mike Tomlin, the greatest coach ever, and John Harbaugh, fraud.
37:27Fraud. I just think he underperformed at times. Like, dude, if either he's a fraud or Lamar Jackson is a fraud because
37:33they have been touted as this great team and they continue to fall short of expectations every single year.
37:38Not wrong. Couldn't even make the playoffs last year, dude.
37:41Like, what are you talking about? Like, the Steelers running out 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers.
37:45Like, come on. Give me a break, dude. All right.
37:47Wow. Real feelings out there. Take that, John Harbaugh.
37:50I like the Giants. I want to bet them somehow.
37:52What about Jim Harbaugh? You like him or no?
37:55Yeah, but he also might be a cheater is the only thing about him.
37:59And he left the NCAA before they could do anything.
38:02What do you mean might, first of all? Second of all, fun fact, Jim Harbaugh has more rushing yards in his NFL career than Bo Jackson.
38:09Fun fact. Wow. I forgot. He was one of the early mobile court.
38:12He was probably fun to watch. Him and, like, Randall Cunningham was at that era.
38:16Who would have thought it would be an NFL coach?
38:19That's actually an NCAA. You like that? It was funny because this was, like, a trivia thing where they asked all the coaches.
38:25I saw this thing, and I immediately, of course, being a child of the 80s, went, okay, which quarterbacks are head coaches in the NFL?
38:32Oh, it can only be Harbaugh. They asked all the coaches, including John, his brother.
38:36He could not access it. He's like, I don't know.
38:39Was it this guy? Was it that? Like, they never even said his own brother.
38:43Yeah. Wow. John. Why is brothers a fraud? That's why he's a fraud.
38:47That's right. It just deepens the fraud. All right.
38:49Doesn't even know his own brother. All right. Here.
38:52This one's going to hit home. This one's personal.
38:54Others didn't improve a QB this year on purpose.
38:57What do you think about that, Seth? Is that true or false?
39:00I mean, it's not like they didn't improve because, like, but I will say, I will say.
39:05Hold on. They literally didn't. I call fraud. They literally didn't.
39:08Yeah. It might have been worse. They literally didn't.
39:10Aaron Rodgers is a year older, and they got a bunch of other jabronis there.
39:14You bring back Mason Rudolph, who can at least, like, sling it around in this offense a little bit.
39:20Knows Heinz Field. Drew Aller. I think he slings his helmet better than the ball.
39:24Okay. Fair. Fair. All right. And then, Drew Aller, you can't teach 6'5", 230, right?
39:28So, like, you at least get a guy to put on your bench.
39:31But everything I've been hearing around this Western PA area, guys, is, like, this team actually loved Will Howard.
39:37So, like, if Aaron Rodgers didn't come back, they were okay running out Howard, running out Aller.
39:41Like, I want to see what these young guys are made of for sure.
39:45So, yeah, I'm actually, I'm buying this. Probably came out from our guy Jerry Dulek as well from the formerly Post-Gazette.
39:51And, you know, I trust everything Big Jerry says out there.
39:54It's funny because when I was at the draft this year in Pittsburgh, there was an odd amount of Will Howard jerseys, which I thought was very comical.
40:02People like him. My best friend from college is from Pittsburgh.
40:05He's a huge Steelers fan. And we were walking around there together.
40:08And he's like, what is happening with these Will Howard jerseys?
40:11He's like, I don't know, dude. I think this is, but, well, I mean, look, I think that the Steelers know what they're doing here.
40:18You know, I think McCarthy knows what he's doing.
40:20And there's no solution here. The solution is to be bad and go into what could be the best quarterback pool we've had in a decade, right?
40:28Go draft Sam Levitt. Fire him up, yeah. By the way, you can't teach 6'5", but you also can't teach Drew Howard to read progressions.
40:35But continue. That's fair. Yeah. I would just say, like, how you asked the question, like, did they do this on purpose?
40:41I guess I would say yes, because I just don't think there were a lot of other options that made sense for the team.
40:47So, like, this is what they were going to do.
40:50Now, if you're insinuating they did this on purpose so they stink to get a high quarterback pick, I think that's, like, hilariously incorrect.
40:57Because that is, like, the opposite of what the Steelers have done.
41:00My whole life. Yeah. Yeah. The entire time he's been alive.
41:03Like, that is not something that they play or do.
41:06And, no, I do not think that. I just don't think there were, A, viable options that they wanted to get involved in.
41:12And, you know, B, they didn't have a backup plan.
41:15They had something they've poorly done for a decent amount of time is have the backup plan to the next guy.
41:20And it has not filtered out. So, I think the purposeful side of this is they had planned were either going Will Howard or going with Aaron Rodgers.
41:28They did not improve. I'm not going to play that.
41:31But maybe Howard will be the big shock and surprise.
41:34But I think maybe another question to ask here is, is the starting quarterback for the Steelers in 2027 on the current roster?
41:40And I think we could – I think that might be more fun to say no, that that person is not.
41:46All right. Let's get to another one here. The Bengals.
41:49Especially if you're spending any quality time with Derek Brown and Andrew Erickson.
41:52They are all in this year, baby. The Bengals are back as a legitimate AFC contender.
41:56Is that true or false, Welsh? Yeah, absolutely. I do think there's change in Baltimore.
42:01I think that division, the AFC North, and this is going to hurt Seth's feelings a little bit, but I think they
42:07have gone from like the division you look at and you're just like, man, they're just all powerhouses to like – I
42:13kind of think it's a little bit closer to anybody's game.
42:16I don't think it's as powerful as it has been in years past.
42:19There's just some holes you can poke across the board.
42:22And I think getting Joe Burrow back, Joe Burrow healthy for the season just makes the Bengals kind of a scary team.
42:28So yeah, I'm going to say that they're a viable contender for that division because I think it's a little bit more open.
42:34And I also think the NFC is just like way more of a competition, especially like I said when you look at the NFC West.
42:41So yeah, I think the Bengals definitely need to be thought as contenders as long as Joe Burrow is healthy.
42:47Well, I mean that's always the caveat, right? He's either healthy or he's not.
42:51So do you like – You're not going to do that mess they did last year.
42:55Do you like the retooled Bengals for 2026 there, Mr.
42:58Steeler? Yeah, what do you think, Seth? Frauds? What do you think?
43:01I think you can be a playoff team, but like as far as like going to beat the Patriots or going to
43:07beat the Buffalo Bills or even the Denver Broncos, I think in the playoffs, I think that's a stretch, right?
43:13Because like there's still a team – I don't know if Joe Burrow won like loves football anymore because I feel like
43:19– he's just – I don't know if it's been too much skyline chili or too much time in the limelight, but
43:25like this guy seems to have lost that spark a little bit.
43:28And also like I don't believe this offensive line is as fixed as everyone thinks.
43:32Like you still have Orlando Brown who's a million years old protecting the blind side.
43:36He's been hit or miss over the last couple years.
43:39And like Dalton Reisner is not like a starting offensive guard.
43:42I thought that's where they should have gone at 10 instead of maybe going out and making the trade for Lenny like they did.
43:49But like they're a playoff team for sure, but I just don't think an actual contender to make a Super Bowl run at this point.
43:55There's still too many unknowns on that team. All right.
43:58Let's get to another potential narrative that's going on here.
44:01Let's go back to the Chiefs for a second.
44:03The Chiefs are a third place team this year, Seth, because that seems to be the running theme here.
44:09I know it's mine. I think the Chiefs are legitimately in a weird transition.
44:13And I don't know if they did enough to turn this roster over between the salary cap issues they've got and between
44:19some of the age in that roster that they've had.
44:21I know they did some things. I just don't think they did enough.
44:25And I look at the Chargers and the Broncos as still being very formidable ahead of them right now.
44:30What do you think? Well, they got Juwan Taylor off their team.
44:33The guy who's just been, you know, getting all the false start penalties for the last two years.
44:38That definitely helps. But I think the Chargers are my pick in this division.
44:42And then it comes down to can the Chiefs like battle bow, especially against the Broncos.
44:47Again, you mentioned that week one game. I think that's going to be huge for this division, Joe, especially because like can
44:53the Broncos win with that first place schedule now?
44:55Right. That is the big question mark to me.
44:58So I'm going to lean true ish if that's OK.
45:00I do think like they still have enough holes on that defense.
45:04I mean, Mansoor Delaney's got to come in and like be a cornerback and just shut people down from day one.
45:09And aside from, you know, guys like Stingley, Sauce Gardner, Joey Porter Jr.
45:13across the league, you don't always get that right away.
45:16All right. Welsh, what do you think about the Chiefs being a third place team?
45:20Is that true or false? I think the Chiefs are not the runaway number one team.
45:24So I think by virtue of that now, I think we could say this is true because they can easily be.
45:30There's an easy path where they could be fourth in this division, honestly.
45:34Oh, I don't know. But well, I'm just I just say if you look at like where we're heading and again, it's like parity in the division.
45:41That's the thing I think that's happening in your division.
45:44There's a lot more parity across those teams. I think the parity is opening up a little bit.
45:49And I just look at it as the Chiefs are not they're not going to run away with this division anymore.
45:54They easily could push back. I think the Chargers, like you said, I think they're going to be near the top.
46:00Broncos are scary. So, yeah, I'll buy this. Here's another one, too, that I'm hearing a lot about, and it's giving me
46:06James Cook year over year vibes where everyone kept telling me James Cook can't be good again.
46:11And I kept saying, well, where were the changes?
46:13And everyone just said, well, you just can't do it.
46:16OK, so I ended up on all my fantasy teams and he was pretty good.
46:20And I got him at a discount. I'm hearing the same thing about JSN.
46:24Jackson Smith and Jigba can't possibly have another big season.
46:27And I think to myself, am I, I don't know, am I just missing something?
46:31The run game is worse. Rashid Shahid is not a guy that's going to really eat into the target here.
46:36Cooper Cup last year was dust anyway. Like, I think this is another one of things like we're fooling ourselves that we
46:43think that JSN can't possibly do it again. Because literally, the only thing that's changed is the offensive coordinator.
46:48But he's been a promotion from within. And the fact that the run game is worse.
46:52So, Welsh, I feel like this is false. I think he actually could do it again.
46:57What do you think? Yeah, I think it's crazy pill stuff.
47:00Like, why? Why would he not do it again?
47:02Like, what, where's the, like, really compelling reason outside of, like, what you want to be like, well, we'll just do it for one year.
47:09Like, projections are in. Again, going back to Fantasy Pro's projections on the fantasy side, if you care about that.
47:14He's number one. He's number one in receiving yards at 1,600, 114 catches, around 10 touchdowns.
47:19That's a pretty good marker when a lot of projections are going to build in some safety nets, are going to look at two to three year markers.
47:27And you're going to compare against guys like Jamar Chase and Pukunakua.
47:30So, I don't see the compelling reason why he can't compete.
47:33I mean, if anything, that run game as well, kind of decimated.
47:36They're going to deal without Charbonnet for some time.
47:39They're going to be piece mailing it at the begin with either, you know, Holani or Price.
47:43That could lead them into more passing situations, which is going to lead to more Jackson Smith and Jigpa, who is just a demon at getting open.
47:51And that is the first read, first, second, and third read is JSN.
47:54I see no reason why this would change. So, I absolutely do think that.
47:58Now, if you think the question is, like, can he repeat and just be far and beyond number one, blah, blah, blah.
48:04I would want some wiggle room and just say, like, I think he could be top three wide receiver in the NFL.
48:10And I think that's how you have to look at it.
48:13And I think that's an easy, easy way to repeat.
48:16What do you think, Seth? I think the door is absolutely open to this.
48:20And the fact that we're all ignoring it, again, it feels very reminiscent of everybody saying, well, that thing that nobody really saw coming, that everybody got wrong.
48:28Well, that's not our failure. And it's not going to happen this year.
48:31I feel like this is a lot more about people being wrong about JSN and not seeing it coming.
48:36And now saying, you watch, I'll be right this year.
48:39And I think they're going to be wrong twice.
48:42Yeah. Yeah. Two thoughts and two shout outs of appreciation to both you gentlemen.
48:45First of all, Welsh, the George Helani shout out.
48:48I had an uncomfortable amount of money on that guy in the Super Bowl over two and a half rushing attempts.
48:54My goodness was that a sweat, but we brought that one home.
48:57So shout out to George Helani. Shout out to you for that, Welsh.
49:00You are a degenerate, Wilcock. I love it. Hey, you got to find those angles, right?
49:05Since this guy stepped on the field at Ohio State, been one of the most disrespected players I've ever seen in my life, Joey P.
49:12Because he was out there from year one out producing guys like Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave.
49:16And no one seemed to care. Next season comes back, banged up a little bit.
49:20He still goes off for 300 plus yards in the Rose Bowl.
49:24Sets a Rose Bowl single game record. And then comes in the NFL.
49:27He's dealing with Shane Waldron as a freaking offensive coordinator.
49:30And everyone's like, OK, yeah, he's actually not that good.
49:33Let's just throw in the towel. I bought in that year.
49:36I bought in last year. People in my fantasy draft laughed in my face.
49:40My high school principal attended that draft. And he said, I've never been so more disappointed than you than drafting JSN in
49:46the second round of my draft last year. And I would just like to double bird all those people.
49:51Because JSN is one of the best wide receivers in the league.
49:54And why do I think he can do it this year?
49:57Yes, I don't like the offensive coordinatorship with Kubiak leaving.
50:00But this team was also third in rushing percentage per play last year.
50:03Joey, 49.7. That defense is probably not going to be as good.
50:07They're going to regress a little bit. They're going to have to throw more.
50:11They're going to have to lean on Sam Donald's arm and specifically JSN in the receiving game, especially without Ken Walker and Charbonnet to start the season.
50:18All right. By the way, Shane Waldron got promoted to passing game coordinator with the Jaguars.
50:22I just want to throw that out there. Sell Trevor.
50:25Sell Trevor. I saw that this week and I was hoping to throw that in Erickson's face before his internet melted.
50:31So, Andrew, I'll see you on Monday. Maybe that's why.
50:34Maybe he purposely killed the internet not to hear it.
50:36Oh, the internet is not working. I cannot see you.
50:39Have you guys ever actually done that on a call and acted like you?
50:43Because I've seen it in movies and TV. Oh, I've gotten people where they thought I was frozen.
50:48I've done it on Zoom meetings. I've done a phone call.
50:51Never Zoom. I was, oh, it's cracking up. I've done that.
50:54Yeah, that's a good one. All right. Let's see how much time we have.
50:58Let's do two more. Let's do two more. We'll do them fast.
51:01First one is the Bears' magic can't possibly repeat itself year over year.
51:05Everything just broke right for them every moment, every bounce of the football.
51:08The Bears are due for aggression, and there's nothing we can do to stop it.
51:12Seth, what do you think? True or false? I'm going to say false, right?
51:16Like, I think if there's anyone you can believe in from a schematic standpoint, it is Ben Johnson calling the shots out there.
51:23Do I think they're overrated? Absolutely. Their win total is too high.
51:26I definitely agree with that. I think Luther Burton going way too high in fantasy.
51:30You know, there's a lot of turmoil in the city right now.
51:33Are they going to be the Indiana Bears? So I think there's a lot going against them, but I do love Ben Johnson.
51:40I can't say I don't love Ben Johnson. So maybe I'm the, I don't know.
51:44I'm somewhere in the middle of this one, but I'll still sell this, I guess.
51:48What do you think, Keir Walsh? Yeah, I'm going to sell.
51:51I think you got a talented quarterback, a great play call.
51:54You got the offensive weapon. You're a little negative.
51:56Yeah, but yeah, that's true. No, I'm not going to discount that, but you brought a lot of the same pieces back.
52:02I like the wide receivers, like the running backs.
52:05I like Loveland. Like, I'm going to sell this.
52:07I'm going to be hard selling this actually. All right.
52:10Last one. Going back to the Seattle Seahawks for a second and the Patriots.
52:14Everybody says that there's no way either of these two teams can get back to the Super Bowl.
52:19I understand the Patriots have a tougher schedule. I get that.
52:22I understand that they, you know, they kind of came out of nowhere last year, caught people by surprise.
52:27And I also understand that Seattle, to a certain extent, did that as well.
52:31And Seattle lost Ken Walker year over year and they lost their offensive coordinator.
52:35And it's a change for everybody. Nobody, nobody had that matchup going into the preseason.
52:39I'm like, yeah, give me the Seahawks and Patriots Super Bowl.
52:42That's the one that I want to take to the window.
52:45Nobody had that. But are we discounting too much?
52:47Maybe the talent level of both of these teams and the capability of both of these head coaches?
52:52Well, true or false that neither of these teams can get back to the Super Bowl in 2026.
52:57That would just be impossible. As a representative of the NFC West on this show and for the great people watching, I
53:03am obligated to trash the Seahawks and say that they cannot.
53:06It is my obligation as a person wearing a 49ers hat, even to represent the Rams.
53:11But I think it's a little silly to say that neither.
53:14I think the Patriots idea is like asinine that they can't.
53:17I mean, they're getting better. I think it's a lot tougher road for the Seahawks to be able to do.
53:22If I'm not just being like snarky about it and stuff like that, like do the Seahawks still have some of the talent?
53:29Yeah, absolutely. The road has gotten tougher by the changes that they've made just overall and personnel, but also divisionally.
53:34You know, the 49ers might be a little bit scarier in some eyes with Mike Evans in there.
53:39They also got Christian Kirk. The Rams are the serious team.
53:42Come on, dude. I'm just saying. I'm just saying.
53:45You don't get to say anything to me when you're talking about the Harbaugh's and the Tom.
53:49All I'm saying is, is it's a new complement of wide receivers that are actually healthy and, you know, want to play
53:55the game and aren't just making Instagram stories where they're dancing around.
53:59That's all I'm saying. Either is Mike Evans. It's true.
54:01But the path is tougher on multiple sides. I think it is much more difficult for the Seahawks to make that jump than it is for the Patriots.
54:09But there is a lot of parody in the NFL as well.
54:12So like what I predict that they're both going to be there, I probably wouldn't.
54:16So I guess. If you had to pick one, who has a better chance?
54:20Patriots. I already said that. Patriots easy. Right. So Seth, what about you?
54:24If you had to pick one, who is it?
54:26Or you're sold on the idea that nobody can.
54:29Yeah, if everything's good in big Mike's affairs, like I would say the Patriots, like I want to make sure that, you know, we're buttoned up over there.
54:37How did you mean that? Like literally in his affairs or like?
54:40Yeah. Yeah. Like there's a hell of a Freudian slip.
54:43No, like when you get your affairs in order.
54:45Right. You know what I mean? Like, oh, yeah.
54:48How do you mean that? How many affairs do you have to get in order?
54:52What are you saying? Just, you know, like, like this is the time of year I'm getting, you know, we're off a little bit.
54:58We got a little more free time. I'm getting my affairs in order.
55:02That's all. So as long. Well, if you get pulled over, make sure that you tell everybody that, you know, Mike Tomlin.
55:08Yeah. I wish I had not said the word Christian Kirk because I was batting a thousand on this show.
55:13I had all against Seth. We were we were just against Seth and all these bad things.
55:18I just hadn't said that. And I mean, you kind of got me out of it a little bit by mentioning Tomlin and affairs.
55:25But man, I was so close to bat in a really great show.
55:28But please go on, Seth. I mean, Drake May is the guy I'm not going to bet against.
55:33I think AJ Brown's really hungry to get out there to this defense.
55:37If they can get a pass rush like Joe, I think that's the biggest thing with them is like, well, they have
55:43the pass rush because they kind of got lucky at the end of the season there with chase on that.
55:48He was just kind of on fire going through that playoff run.
55:52All right, everybody. So those are the narratives going on and what we think about them.
55:56What do you think? Drop your comments below. Can these teams get back to the Super Bowl?
56:01Can JSN repeat? You saw what we were talking about.
56:03All right. Last thing we're going to talk about.
56:06We'll run through this real quick and we'll get out of here.
56:09We're ranking the worst to first. So I've got my ranking of the teams that finished last in 2025 that I think
56:15have the best chance of finishing first in 2026.
56:18I'll start with mine here. I'm going to go with the Saints number one here.
56:22The Saints, to me, have the easiest path in that division.
56:25I like their draft. I like their offseason. They brought in Tyson.
56:28They brought in AJ. They have a quarterback who seems to be making strides.
56:32I think Kellen Moore was a terrific first-year head coach last year.
56:35I think he did a lot of good things.
56:38Second is going to be the Lions for me because I think the division is tougher.
56:42I also think Dan Campbell can always coach himself out of a win.
56:46Any given time, any moment, Dan Campbell can coach himself out of a W.
56:50It's what he does. He's aggressive. So aggressive sometimes that he forgets about good football tactics.
56:54The next up for me is the Titans at three.
56:57Another one where it should be like a massive turnaround of Cam Ward really just progresses very quickly.
57:02I can see that happening. And Robert Sala coming in and, you know, the pieces they brought in there.
57:07I think it's going to be a very different look and the Titans, again, a very easy schedule.
57:12The Giants I have at four. I understand if people have them higher, but I kind of just kind of in the middle right now for me.
57:19Again, some questions about Malik will Malik neighbors health.
57:22I think that's going to be a problem for me.
57:24I think the Browns at five because if Seth is right.
57:27Okay. You know that the Ravens are always overrated and we all know that the Steelers have their quarterback issues no matter what Seth might think.
57:35Uh, and then on top of that, you have the current cluster that is always the Bengals health.
57:40So maybe the Browns could even sneak in there.
57:42Crazy things, new regime, new people there. Who knows?
57:45Unlikely. I think it's very unlikely at number six that the Raiders get there just because I think it's just a year
57:51of learning and a year of transition for the young quarterback.
57:54It wouldn't surprise me if they went over their win total low, because I think Fernando Mendoza is a winner and I could see that being the case.
58:01But again, I think there's just too many holes there, especially on defense and the offensive line still, although it's gotten a little better year over year.
58:09The Jets at seven. Why? Because they're the Jets.
58:11And I think if you look at the schedule, there's a good chance that Aaron Glenn is fired before we hit week 10.
58:17Just put it out there, folks. It is not a kind schedule to them.
58:21It's not a kind division. I just don't see any way that they can do that.
58:26And then the Cardinals, again, this is more just because of the difficulty of the division than anything else.
58:31Three of the best teams in the NFC are in one division and Welsh knows this well.
58:36So I think the Cardinals just have the toughest road of any of these teams to finish first.
58:41That's my ranking. Saints, Lions, Titans, Giants, Browns, Raiders, Jets, Cardinals.
58:44Welsh, give me your rankings here. Worst to first potentially in 2026.
58:47So I have the one and two flipped here.
58:49I'm going to go with the Lions at one, Saints at two.
58:53I love your take on the Saints. I agree kind of like across the board.
58:57But the caveats I'm going to have is I think the Saints have the easiest path.
59:01I think the Lions are the most talented. The division is tough.
59:04Clearly, you've got Bears in there. You've got Packers like it's a tough road.
59:08But I just think they're just so talented and underperformed last year.
59:12And I think this is an easy path for them to move up as far as like going from four up.
59:17Can they get to one? You know, it's tougher than what the Saints are going to have to do.
59:23But I want to bet on the talent of the Lions.
59:26So Lions and Saints. The difference I have with you, you were talking kind of positively at the Browns, but you didn't really put them out there.
59:33I'm going to put them at three. Yes. Yes.
59:36Yeah. And that's about what I talked about earlier.
59:38Like, I don't I think there's more parity in this division.
59:41I don't think anybody has a stranglehold on it.
59:43Not a big Browns guy. But, you know, I think the complement of offensive weapons kind of works and they got a great defense.
59:50That's really what this is about. This is like a solid defense in that division with more parity.
59:55If I had to make the bets on like who has the opportunity, I think the Browns could be one of those surprising ones.
60:02I go to the Titans at four, which you had a little bit higher.
60:05So I'm kind of close with you. Raiders at I'm kind of indifferent.
60:09I got to be honest with you. After the Titans, it becomes a little bit indifferent.
60:13Raiders at five. Giants at six. I kind of even talk.
60:16I think that division is going to be really tough for them.
60:20I do think the path changes a little bit, but I still think it is really difficult.
60:24Again, Raiders. I really Raiders probably should have been lower if I guess if I'm being honest.
60:29Jets at seven because nope. And Cardinals, as you mentioned, it's laughable because I live here in Arizona.
60:34I'm around the Cardinals the most. But I and you said it perfectly.
60:38The best three teams in the NFC are all in this division and the Cardinals are going to get beat around.
60:43So their path is almost unobtainable, I believe, for them to get to one.
60:47But I really do feel strong about the Lions and the Browns.
60:51That's probably the one I have like most hold to is that defense, that defense with a little bit more of a
60:57serviceable offense might make some waves in that division.
60:59That is my worst to first. All right, Seth, you're up.
61:02Two minute drill. Give us your worst to first predictions for 2026.
61:05Rank. Yeah, I'm betting on MCDC, baby. Like you got to go back to him here, especially like this is in a
61:11division two where like I do expect the Bears to regress just a little bit.
61:16Again, why I like Ben Johnson. They have other question marks there that I outlined earlier.
61:20Minnesota, like they're going to be out of it by probably what?
61:23November 15th, whenever the new cod drops. Right. So, you know, you can count them out.
61:28So I think Lions certainly back in the mix there.
61:30Saints, you guys outlined perfectly. It's a really great opportunity for them to continue to improve.
61:35And the Browns here at three. Well, I'm lockstep with you, dude.
61:38Like as long as Shador Sanders out there and not Deshaun Watson, which we can't like prove that Shador was pretty good
61:44last year, almost had a 500 record as a rookie.
61:47Now he gets some real wide receivers in there.
61:49Casey Concepcion, Denzel Boston go along with a guy like Harold Fan Jr.
61:53who tore up the Mac a couple of years ago.
61:56Quinshot Jutkins is coming back. They still have a good defense, even despite trading Miles Garrett.
62:00Just won't have a great pass rush right off the rip.
62:03He'll just be a more methodical pass rush rather than the speed one.
62:07Titans. I like Bob Sala. I like bringing in Dable.
62:09I like Cam Ward. I kind of like this entire team.
62:12I just think they're still a couple of years away for me.
62:16Giants. The division's tough, right? Like the entire situation.
62:18They don't beat the Cowboys and the teams in their division enough for me to put them over there.
62:23Other than like, I love this team. Like I love the offensive weapons there.
62:27Love the front front front of that defense to Raiders.
62:30If Kirk Cousins wasn't starting at all this year, I think I'd be more inclined to go with them.
62:35They got Max Crosby back in the fold at least.
62:38So you like what they've done there. New York Jets.
62:41Like, I mean, then the Cardinals, like I would bet my house that neither of them can even sniff the playoffs.
62:46Like, I mean, honestly, if you want to go out in the prediction markets right now, Aaron Glenn to be fired in
62:53September is on the markets right now. I'm putting the yes side down.
62:56That guy is a terrible head coach. Geno Smith, even if he's on the field with all the shenanigans he has going
63:02off it, dude thought he was Aaron Rodgers last year trying to make every throw.
63:06I think he had a 19 to 17 TD to interception ratio, 200 yards per game.
63:11They're toast. And then the Cardinals, like Carson Beck's probably starting by November and, you know, we'll see how that goes for him.
63:17I like that. We all had the Jets and Cardinals last.
63:20Yeah, that was the easy thing. You're getting to QB or just work your way up for the start at the bottom and work your way up.
63:27Who do you think is going to finish first next year?
