Andy Dalton

NegativeRole0:41

Andy Dalton is a possibility as a backup quarterback for the Eagles following Jalen Hurts' blood clot injury. He was with the team during the summer and was released last week after being demoted for Tanner McKee. As of now, Cole Payton (fifth round pick) would be the backup quarterback this week, but Dalton remains a possibility.

Insight page

Audric Estime

NegativeRole11:24

Fresh off the Vikings practice squad; could be the number two running back for the Browns this week behind Jaleel McLaughlin.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

NegativeInjury6:10

Mayfield will miss another game for the Buccaneers due to a right thumb injury (throwing hand). OC Zach Robinson said Mayfield is 'just not quite ready to practice,' forcing Jalen Daniels to make his third straight start against the Steelers at home.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection8:00

Bo Nix has struggled with aggression and decision-making, posting 190 yards passing or less in three of his last five games. Lance Zierlein notes Nix has reverted to 'check down Charlie' tendencies from college, being too comfortable with short throws instead of attacking downfield. With Sean Payton now calling plays in Denver, Nix must become more explosive and aggressive to succeed; the Broncos' offensive line and run game limitations mean Denver needs explosive passing plays to move the ball effectively.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeInjury0:00

Caleb Williams suffered a serious hamstring tear and missed the last three Bears games. He is a full participant Thursday but must go through medical protocols, stress testing, and practice before being cleared to play against Atlanta on Sunday.

Insight page
PositiveInjury6:30

Williams was a full participant in Thursday practice after missing the last three Bears games. He still needs to go through medical protocols and a stress test before being cleared to play against the Falcons in Atlanta on Sunday.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeInjury22:42

Ruled out for the Texans' divisional matchup against the Jaguars in London; will not make the trip.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveMatchup12:03

Described as a monster; Ravens defense is hurt down the middle with injuries galore along the defensive line; Todd Monken was his play caller last year and knows what he does well, which could help the Ravens defense prepare but likely won't be enough given the Ravens' defensive line injuries.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

NegativeMatchup11:09

Could not pull out fourth quarter comeback on the road in New York against the Jets this week; facing Ravens defense led by all-pro caliber players like Kyle Hamilton; Browns offense is beat up with offensive line issues and running back depth problems.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

NegativeRole5:10

DeVonta Smith is unavailable for the Eagles' game with Tanner McKee starting at quarterback, contributing to a difficult offensive situation for the backup QB.

Insight page

Jaleel McLaughlin

NegativeRole11:24

Could be the starter at running back for the Browns this week; the team is without its training camp running back and facing a Ravens defense that is strong up the middle.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

NegativeInjury0:54

Jalen Hurts is out this week with a superficial blood clot in his calf; no public timetable for return. He showed up on the injury report Friday in London as a full participant with a calf injury, played Sunday, and the Eagles announced the blood clot midday Wednesday. Zach Berman reports the team is still in the process of figuring out the best course of action and treatment, noting it's fairly unprecedented and not a typical injury with established precedent like a sprained ankle or twisted knee. Blood clots are serious and indefinite could mean any number of weeks.

Insight page

Jalon Daniels

NegativeRole6:10

Daniels will make his third straight start for the Buccaneers against the Steelers at home in Week 6, with Baker Mayfield sidelined by a right thumb injury.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

PositiveProjection23:31

Fantastic performance last week against the blitz; described by the host as a favorite person in the NFL, not just as a player.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeInjury23:00

Top-five pick rookie running back for the Cardinals; not at practice and worth monitoring as Arizona prepares to face the Rams at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeInjury10:00

Lamar Jackson officially did not practice and is dealing with an ankle injury. He did not play in week five with the same ankle injury, raising questions about his availability for Baltimore's upcoming game.

Insight page
NegativeInjury10:05

Officially did not practice; did not play in week five with ankle injury; status for Sunday's AFC North matchup against the Browns in Cleveland remains uncertain.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveRole21:27

Set to play in London against the Jaguars despite international travel; confirmed to have passport and will make the trip with the Texans.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury23:28

Not at practice with Achilles soreness in addition to existing rib issue; Buccaneers play Monday night against the Commanders in Santa Clara.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeInjury23:42

Out of practice with a hamstring injury; Chiefs face the winless Chargers in Kansas City on Sunday.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

NegativeRole24:43

Leading the Seahawks offense as they attempt to bounce back after losing to the 49ers in a game viewed by 26 million people; facing the Broncos in Thursday night football week six.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeInjury4:10

Barkley was absent from Eagles practice for the second consecutive day heading into Week 6 against Carolina, raising injury concerns for the game.

Insight page
NegativeRole5:10

Saquon Barkley is unavailable for the Eagles' game with Tanner McKee starting at quarterback, contributing to a difficult offensive situation for the backup QB.

Insight page

Tank Dell

NegativeInjury22:42

Ruled out for the Texans' divisional matchup against the Jaguars in London; will not make the trip.

Insight page

Tanner McKee

NegativeRole0:27

Tanner McKee is the new number one quarterback for the Eagles following Jalen Hurts' blood clot injury. He has had two previous starts in the final game of the season when the Eagles were resting starters, but this is a meaningful midseason game of significance, different from his previous week 18 appearances. He gets his shot now without Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith available, making it a tough spot for McKee. Two years ago he looked really good, entering in week 17 and helping the Eagles win the NFC East in the second half with two touchdowns on four passes.

Insight page
NegativeRole3:25

McKee is starting Week 6 against Carolina after Jalen Hurts' blood clot diagnosis. He previously started Week 17 two years ago and helped the Eagles win the NFC East with two touchdowns on four passes in the second half. He struggled in summer competition with Andy Dalton and did not win that competition, but has a good arm and is a good processor. He is more familiar with the current offense than he was three months ago. However, he will be playing without at least three Day One starting offensive linemen, with starting wide receivers dealing with injuries, and Saquon Barkley absent from practice for two consecutive days—potentially six backups in the starting lineup.

Insight page

Tyler Huntley

NegativeRole10:10

Ravens backup quarterback who started in week five with Lamar Jackson out; led Ravens to overtime win in Atlanta; may start again if Jackson remains unavailable for Sunday's Browns matchup.

0:00This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed Human. Jalen Hurts is out, but the question is for how long?
0:06Coming up on the NFL Report, we have the latest from Philadelphia on the most recent in a long list of Eagles issues.
0:13This one pretty serious. We have two great quarterbacks.
0:16We have two marquee franchises. Do we get another primetime shootout Sunday night?
0:21A Green Bay Dallas primetime preview and your daily dose of Jameis.
0:25I guarantee you it'll make you smile. Promise. It's next on the NFL Report.
0:29Welcome to another edition, a let's get it week six edition of the NFL Report.
0:34We're presented by Nationwide. It is good to be back from our studios in Los Angeles.
0:39My name is Andrew Siciliano. Who's up? Who's down?
0:42Thursday night football in Denver. Lance Zierlein joins us shortly with that.
0:46We begin, however, with what is news to me, our latest headlines.
0:50And there is a lot of news today out of Philadelphia.
0:54The short version is Jalen Hurts is out this week.
0:57The long version, there is no news to me.
1:00No public timetable for his return. No public timetable for his return.
1:04He has what the Eagles are calling a superficial blood clot in his calf.
1:09The team made the announcement today. Hurts showed up on the injury report this past Friday in London as a full participant with a calf injury.
1:17He played Sunday. Wednesday said the injury was a unique experience.
1:21And then today the Eagles midday hit send on a press release saying Jalen's okay, but he has this issue and we don't know when he's coming back.
1:30Zach Berman has covered the Eagles for years and does it in a fantastic way for the athletic.
1:36Zach, any idea how long he's going to be out?
1:39It's a good question. It's a good question. And it's one I would be disingenuous if I gave you an answer to
1:46because I still think they're in the process of figuring that out.
1:50They're in the process of figuring out what the best course of action is, what the best treatment is.
1:57It's not the type of thing where it's a sprained ankle or a twisted knee and you have precedent for it.
2:04It's fairly unprecedented or fairly unique in its approach.
2:07So the short answer is no. And talking to players in the locker room today, they didn't know either.
2:13They just knew it was going to be Tanner McKee on Sunday.
2:17Yeah, blood clots are serious. This is not a one week thing where you're like, oh, no, he's fine next week.
2:24It's indefinite and indefinite could be any number of weeks here.
2:27You mentioned Tanner McKee. He is the new number one.
2:31He has had a shot twice over the last couple of years in the final game of the season when the Eagles
2:38were arresting starters, but they do need another quarterback.
2:41Is Andy Dalton still a possibility? Andy Dalton was obviously here during the summer.
2:45They released him last week after demoting him for Tanner McKee.
2:49You would think it's a possibility. Cole Payton, though, their fifth round pick.
2:53As of now, he would be their backup quarterback this week.
2:57So there have been some the last couple of years that have wondered aloud.
3:01I wonder what Tanner McKee would look like in this offense.
3:05So he gets his shot now midseason, not week 18 when it means nothing.
3:10But he gets his shot, Zach, without Saquon Barkley, Devontae Smith.
3:13The backfield is just a disaster. What kind of shot is this?
3:17Well, it's a meaningful game because, as you referenced, his previous starts came in week 18.
3:22So it's a game of significance, which is different.
3:25But it's a tough spot for Tanner. And I'll be honest with you, Tanner McKee is someone who two years ago looked really good.
3:33He entered the game in week 17, helped Eagles win the NFC East in the second half of that game through two touchdowns on four passes.
3:42And he was a good fit in Eagles' previous offensive scheme.
3:45He struggled this summer in competition with Andy Dalton, did not win that competition.
3:50But he does have a good arm. He's a good processor.
3:54He's more used to this offense than he was, let's say, six weeks ago or three months ago.
4:00But we'll see who he's playing with or more specifically without.
4:03He's down at least three day one starting offensive linemen.
4:06Their starting wide receivers are dealing with injuries. You mentioned Saquon Barkley.
4:10He wasn't at practice today for the second consecutive day.
4:14So there could be as many as six backups in the starting lineup in this game.
4:19I snicker there because he's used to playing with reserves in week 18.
4:23He's playing with half of the reserves this week in week six.
4:27There's symmetry here. His OC, Sean Mannion, was in the same position.
4:31He twice started the final game of the season for the Rams when they were resting Jared Goff for the postseason.
4:38That was his basic starting experience in the NFL.
4:41And now he's calling plays for Tanner McKee, who is in the same position.
4:46It's always a what if, because obviously we know the discourse around Jalen Hurts.
4:50What if Tanner McKee plays well? You never know, right?
4:53And it's something we've seen in Philadelphia before. Howie Roseman would tell you that no organization has benefited more from a backup quarterback than the Eagles.
5:02I mean, there's a Lombardi trophy in this complex I'm in right now because of Nick Foles.
5:08So you never know. Tanner McKee is someone, too, who there is credibility within this locker room, within the huddle.
5:14I was talking to Jordan Mailata, the Eagles left tackle today.
5:18And he spoke about the confidence he has in Tanner from being with Tanner before, that the high energy Tanner brings.
5:25And it's a different type of personality than Jalen Hurts, who's more kind of the calm, cool, collected, to use the term that Jordan Mailata used.
5:33So we'll see what happens. Frankly, the Eagles can't look beyond one week here.
5:38They've lost three in a row. It's the first losing record they've had since the 2021 season.
5:43They just need to win a game, and then they can figure out everything else thereafter.
5:49It's against the Carolina Panthers. Mailata, as you tweeted, said this has been, he said, last week was a week from HE Double Hockey Sticks.
5:57And now this. He spoke too soon, he said.
6:00Yes, he spoke too soon. Zach Berman from The Athletic with the Eagles.
6:04Appreciate you, Zach. We continue here on the NFL Report, and we do so with more quarterback news.
6:10Looks like Baker Mayfield is going to miss another game for the Buccaneers.
6:14OC Zach Robinson says Mayfield is, quote, just not quite ready to practice.
6:19He has a thumb injury. It's his right hand is throwing hand.
6:23So get ready for Jalen Daniels making his third straight start beat the Cowboys last week in primetime.
6:28Bucs at home this week against the Steelers. In Chicago, far more positive for Caleb Williams.
6:34Once again, a full participant Thursday. He has missed the last three Bears games, who, oh, by the way, are in Atlanta Sunday.
6:41They get the Falcons. Do not know before you start asking.
6:45Do not know if I'm playing yet. Have to go through a bunch of medical protocols.
6:50Obviously, have to get out there and practice. Do the stress test thing that, obviously, you do when you're trying to come back from injury or serious injury.
6:59Caleb, what would you say was the injury? What would you tell us was the injury?
7:05It was a hamstring tear and a pretty serious one.
7:08Did they give you a grade? Yeah, we got a grade, but I wouldn't say it's deserved to be put out there after all the false ones.
7:17So, next question. Caleb Williams not showing you his hamstring report card.
7:21We can show you, however, Sam Darnold, Drew Locke, the Seahawks quarterbacks in the building in Denver, getting ready to face the Broncos.
7:28There is Jackson Smith and Jigba, who leads the NFL in touchdown receptions from those two quarterbacks, Seahawks and the Broncos.
7:35Let's get a primetime preview presented by Nationwide here on the NFL Report.
7:39And for that, we welcome NFL.com. It's Lance Zerlein.
7:42Lance, great to see you. Let's talk the other quarterback, Bo Nix, who on the podium this week seemed like, honestly, like it was a therapy session.
7:51Like, what is good play, what is bad play, first quarter versus fourth quarter, letting it rip versus confidence and lack of confidence.
7:59Like, what do you need to see from Bo Nix in the first half tonight that gives you faith he's the guy?
8:06Yeah, he needs to come out with an attacking mindset.
8:09What's happened? So, he has 190 yards passing or less in three of his last five games.
8:15And what's happened to him is that it's the same thing I saw in college.
8:20There were different instances during college where he turned in to check down Charlie.
8:24And he was just comfortable taking the short throw.
8:27They aren't good enough to incrementally move down the field with 14 and 15 play drives.
8:33They've got to hit explosives in Denver. Sean Payton's taking over the play calling.
8:37So, Davis Webb, the former offense coordinator, is no longer the problem.
8:41They've kind of turned their attention to Bo Nix.
8:44And he's got to look down the field and be a more explosive quarterback and be a more aggressive quarterback.
8:51That's the big problem right now that Denver faces and Bo Nix faces.
8:55Now, for Seattle, they've got to run the football.
8:58It's an offensive line that is really poor when it comes to yards before contact.
9:03Their running backs are taking contact in less than one yard.
9:07So, in less than one yard gained, they're already getting contact.
9:10It's one of the worst numbers in the NFL.
9:13So, what are you going to do? Well, Denver's got a bunch of guys out in the secondary.
9:19So, you'd think throw the ball, throw the ball, throw the ball.
9:23But more than likely, Denver will protect that backup secondary that's playing right now, which means lighter boxes.
9:29It's a Denver running game, run defense. That's, you know, they're fourth from last in the NFL right now.
9:35So, I think Seattle has to continue to try and establish the run.
9:39And things will take, the passing game will take care of itself.
9:43So, run the football today. And for Denver, you've got to go get explosives from Bo Nix.
9:49As they're playing in Denver tonight without Sertan and without Talanoa Hufunga.
9:53But Riley Moss is up. He had been questionable.
9:56So, at least some sense of normalcy there in the Denver secondary.
10:00Thank you, Lance Zerline. Let's move on here to Baltimore for the second consecutive day.
10:05Lamar Jackson officially did not practice. Remember, he did not play in week five with the ankle injury.
10:11Tyler Huntley was the Ravens quarterback. They won it overtime in Atlanta.
10:15What does that mean for Sunday? Who knows? But it is an AFC North battle this week with the Ravens taking on the Browns.
10:22That game is in Cleveland. Last year, the Ravens swept the Browns.
10:26But that was John Harbaugh's staff. This is Jesse Minter's staff facing Deshaun Watson, who is 2-0 as a Browns starter against the Ravens.
10:34Yeah, they're playmakers. You know, those guys are especially, you know, Hamilton, all pro guy.
10:39He starts, I think, year two, you know, on his way to be an all pro.
10:44You know, those guys are playing really high-level football for that defense, and they have other guys on that defense too.
10:51So, you know, this is a great challenge for us to be able to go out there and test where we are.
10:59And, you know, we've just got to be on the same page and see what they're doing and make sure that we,
11:06you know, have those guys accounted for each and every play.
11:09This week, Lance Deshaun Watson could not pull out the fourth quarter comeback on the road in New York against the Jets.
11:17They lost that one this week. He likely does not have a running back in his backfield that was there during training camp.
11:24Jaleel McLaughlin could be your starter. Audrick Estime, fresh off the Vikings practice squad, could be your number two.
11:30How do they beat this Ravens defense? Well, they're going to have to create offense.
11:35I'm not sure how it's going to happen because they're beat up on the offense.
11:40As you mentioned, the offensive line wasn't very good last week.
11:44They are really in a problem spot at the running back position.
11:48So Todd Munkin's going to have to figure out how to get the ball outside the tackle boxes.
11:54Quick passing game, find ways to get extended handoffs through tunnel screens and jet sweeps.
11:59He's going to have to become very creative offensively for them to win.
12:03The other problem you have is Derrick Henry. I mean, Derrick Henry is a monster, and you are hurt down the middle.
12:10There are injuries galore along the defensive line for the Cleveland Browns.
12:14Carson Schwestinger right now is not practicing. And you've got Derrick Henry, who's a monster.
12:19Of course, Todd Munkin was his play caller last year, so he knows a little something about what he does well and where he needs help.
12:28And so maybe that can help the defense a little bit.
12:31But more than likely, when you just do the math on this, it's going to be really difficult on both sides of
12:38the ball this week for the Cleveland Browns. Yep, you mentioned Carson Schwestinger.
12:43He has yet to miss a snap this season, but he did not practice in each of the last two days.
12:50Plus, Mike Hall, Mason Graham, both also out of practice today for the Browns.
12:54Lance Zerlein coming right back. Don't go anywhere, Lance.
12:57We continue on the NFL Report, and we continue with this question.
13:01Can the Texans in Lance's backyard make the postseason at 1-4?
13:05Well, no one at 1-4 is making the playoffs, but you get my point.
13:09That's next on the NFL Report. You know, sometimes as we continue on the NFL Report, you look at numbers and you say, how is this a thing?
13:19How are the Cowboys averaging nearly 28 points a game?
13:22That's number seven of the NFL. And how are they two and three?
13:26Well, they lost in primetime last week to the Buccaneers, as bad a loss as you have seen this season.
13:33This week in primetime, they get the Packers at Lambeau.
13:36And Matt LaFleur knows slowing down Dak Prescott ain't easy.
13:39It's a different offense than what we run, but I think it's pretty damn effective.
13:44I think Dak's an elite quarterback. And then you've got two legitimate number one receivers that they're capable of scoring on any play.
13:52Let's look at the quarterbacks side by side. Jordan Love, a just ridiculous performance last week with the deep ball against the
13:59Bears as they carved up the Chicago secondary. These two quarterbacks, Lance Zerlein, pretty darn similar.
14:04And remember, when last they faced, which was a primetime game in Week 5 in Dallas a year ago, they combined for 80 points.
14:12It was a 40-40 tie, if you remember. So the topic bar here is very Sunday morning, Lance.
14:18Not a shot at the topic bar. Which quarterback has the edge Sunday night?
14:23Ooh, I'm going to go slight edge with Jordan Love, and let me tell you why.
14:28He is 20. The Green Bay Packers are 24th in league in scoring offense.
14:33Not even 21 yards a game. They're last with a running game, producing 60 yards on the ground per game.
14:39The offensive line's not as good as what Dak Prescott has.
14:43But you know what? Jordan Love is making it happen with explosives.
14:47Right here, that's a great example. Christian Watson and Matthew Golden are averaging 17.4 yards per catch.
14:52And they've got a total of nine touchdowns between them.
14:56That's the reason that they're 3-2 right now, is because Jordan Love is taking a heavy burden on his shoulders, and he's
15:03delivering when he needs to with explosive plays. That's been the real key here.
15:07Dak's done a great job. But the duo that Dallas has versus the duo at wide receiver that the Green Bay Packers
15:15have, this is a fantastic matchup this week. I just want to mention them because it compliments the two quarterbacks, Love and Prescott as well.
15:23Yeah, absolutely. And as for that Cowboys defense here, Christian Parker, their D.C., who had never called plays before they brought him
15:30in from Philadelphia, where he was an assistant or Vic Fangio, brought in Mike Pettin this week, the former Browns head coach, for a second set of eyes.
15:39Parker says he is going to likely remain on the sideline calling to defense after earlier in the week, owner Jerry Jones,
15:46on his weekly radio spot locally, said Parker would move upstairs.
15:50All right, so there's that if you're scoring at home.
15:53And if you are as well, it's the Giants and not the Cowboys who sit atop the NFC East to open up week six.
16:01New York has, and I'm going to spin this positively, yet to lose a game with Jameis Winston as the starter.
16:08A tie is not a loss. They're 2-0-1. I just think, you know, the coaches are doing an incredible job, you know, catering to our playmakers.
16:17I think that's so important. You know, football can be very simple when you say, hey, this is who we have.
16:24How can we make them look good? We make them look good, we in turn will look good.
16:30So just hats off to those guys upstairs, working their tail off day in and day out to give us the best
16:37chance to go out there and give our best players the ball.
16:41All right, Lance, 2-0-1 with Jameis. 3-1-1 overall. Then it's the Eagles at 2-3, the Cowboys at 2-3, the Commanders at 1-3-1.
16:48Let's play true or false. I beg your pardon.
16:51True or false, Lance, the Giants are the best team in the NFC East.
16:55Hmm. Let's go true. I don't really have a choice, do I?
16:59You don't sound very convincing. Well, look. Look, the Eagles are a mess.
17:04We can't say the Eagles. The Cowboys, defensively, they're a mess again.
17:08Another year where it's a real problem for them.
17:11They got shut down offensively by Todd Bowles last week, although I think Dallas is obviously a good offensive unit.
17:17The advantage here, and this is going to sound strange, I look for all these numbers to find how I could convince myself that it's the Giants.
17:26You know what they do well? They punt well.
17:29And the reason that matters is because they are a good team when it comes to taking away the football with interceptions.
17:36They've got six, and they've only had three interceptions against.
17:40They're good against the pass. So when you get field position for the Giants, they're doing a good job of maintaining good field position for their offense.
17:48So I can't really find – they've got one rushing touchdown.
17:52They're not explosive as a passing team. They're okay defensively in general, but they do just enough to be tops in that division.
18:00It helped that Washington doesn't know much about clock management last week.
18:03But, hey, you are what your record says. You are 3-1-1.
18:07They punt well. Tip of the cap to Jordan Stout.
18:10They punt well. Why can't we talk – hey, Harbaugh's a third-phase guy, right?
18:15He was a special teams coach. And he brought Stout with him from Baltimore.
18:20All right, let's transition to the Bills. We saw them at a Classic on Monday night.
18:25But rhetorical question, can you win a championship without a defense?
18:28Statistically, they do not have a defense, at least not one that could historically win a championship.
18:34True or false, Lance, the Bills are the team to beat in the AFC despite the number 28 defense.
18:40False, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm going Chiefs.
18:44I've been writing the Chiefs off for like three years now, and I thought this was finally my year.
18:50I thought this was finally my year. And Pat Mahomes comes back, and the Chiefs look good again.
18:56Look, I love Josh Allen, my favorite quarterback to watch in the entire NFL.
19:01Love watching the offense perform. Defensively, they're just not very sound.
19:05I think there are some personnel issues that are not going to go away no matter how much they try to coach it up.
19:13And with that in mind, there's just too many teams that can get hot at the right time in the AFC, I
19:20think, for you to just shoot it out with everyone.
19:23So I'm going to have to say Kansas City, once again, is going to be the team that is the best team
19:30in the West right now, rather than the AFC right now.
19:34Wow. Wow. Okay. The Texans were in that conversation when the season began.
19:38They are no longer in that conversation now that they are 1-4.
19:42But, hey, they got a win. Let's show you some Texans defensive numbers, if we could.
19:47Because the first month of the season, when they were facing Josh Allen and Joe Burrow and Dak Prescott, their defense was bad.
19:55But then last week against Cam Ward, well, all of a sudden, they're the Texans defense again.
20:00And, Lance, what if I told you, and I know you know this, you're in Houston, that the schedule sets up pretty well for them.
20:09Now, this week, not easy in any way, shape, or form in London against a very good Jaguar team.
20:15But then it's the Giants, and you just said they punt well.
20:19Then it's a bye. Then it's the Chargers. And then you see the right side of the screen.
20:25Not easy, but not out of the realm of possibility that they could get something going here.
20:30So, Lance Erlein, true or false, the Texans at 1-4 can still make the postseason.
20:35I'm going to say true. Now, you know, come find me after Sunday's game in London because if they lose to the Jaguars, we're shutting it down.
20:44But if they beat the Jaguars, which is definitely possible in London, then all of a sudden you're really looking at needing
20:51to go 5-1 in your next six. That's completely – or rather, 4-1 in your next six.
20:57That's completely possible. They would be 6-5 after that.
21:00And we saw the schedule, it's certainly doable. And then you'll worry about, you know, the colder weather teams as you get to them.
21:08But the Texans right now added Marvin Harrison Jr.
21:11That's – once Nico Collins is on the field, they're scoring almost 30 points a game right now.
21:17So adding Marvin Harrison Jr., Nico's healthy. The defense, I think, is going to become the defense once again.
21:23And the schedule sets up well for them. It's not over just yet.
21:27Don't count them out just yet. Marvin Harrison Jr.
21:30set to play in London. He does have a passport.
21:33Lance Irline, we thank you kindly. Stay right there as we continue on the NFL Report.
21:39Coming up, we go back to Denver. More Thursday night football as the Seahawks and Broncos get ready for a Super Bowl rematch.
21:46One from 12 years ago. Now granted, the fifth time they've met since then.
21:51But why not make it a Super Bowl rematch?

22:23Cam Hayward was there. It's Cam's Kindness Week. Steelers looking to empower young adults with ready-to-work resources, networking and career opportunities, mock interviews, networking opportunities, job resource tables.
22:33A lot there. Great job by the Steelers in the community.
22:36Let's get some quick hits, some headlines from around the NFL.
22:40We mentioned the Texans. They are going to have a few empty seats on the plane going over to London.
22:46Tankdale, David Montgomery, Jalen Petrie, all ruled out already for that divisional head-to-head with the Jaguars.
22:52None of them will make the trip. Keep it an eye on Jeremiah Love Meantime, the rookie running back, at the top five pick in Arizona.
23:00He was not at practice again today. The Cardinals are in L.A.
23:04to face the Rams at SoFi. Mike Evans, not at practice today.
23:08Up in Santa Clara, he has Achilles soreness. That is in addition, Kyle Shanahan says, to his rib issue.
23:14Niners play Monday night. They get the Commanders in Santa Clara.
23:18And Rasheed Rice out of practice today. He has a hamstring injury.
23:22The Chiefs and the winless Chargers. That game is in Kansas City coming up on Sunday.
23:27All right, let's get one more thing in here before we go.
23:31Show you some Jameis Winston numbers last week against the Blitz.
23:35He was fantastic. Also fantastic. Jameis Winston on the podium.
23:38Here to make you smile. Your daily dose of Jameis.
23:41My take on the Jameis Winston experience is that I am called to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth.
23:50Right? Like every time that I'm around someone, I am driven to increase that man or that woman with every action that I take.
23:57So if you're defining that as the Jameis Winston experience, I'm telling you that is the Jameis Winston experience that I intend to give.
24:05He is. He's my favorite. He is flat out my favorite.
24:09Jameis Winston, one of my favorite, not players in the NFL, but people, hands down, in the NFL.
24:15Also among my favorite people, Bucky Brooks, Cody Kessler, and Mike Yam.
24:19They are coming up game day preview with any and everything you need to know about the Seahawks and the Broncos and
24:26Thursday night football in week number six. Among the Denver injuries, Pat Sertan and Talanoa Hufanga.
24:31They are both out, but Riley Moss is up.
24:34So the corner opposite Pat Sertan is up. And for the Seahawks, it's Sam Darnold and company trying to bounce back after losing this past week.
24:43A game viewed by 26 million people. The head-to-head against the 49ers.
24:47I'm Andrew Siciliano. So long, everybody. This is an iHeart Podcast.
24:50Guaranteed human.
