Alec Pierce

NegativeInjury19:20

Alec Pierce is dealing with a lingering injury that has him limping; the source is waiting for him to walk in a straight line before feeling confident, noting that his movement remains concerning during training camp.

Insight page
NegativeInjury32:00

Josh Norris notes that Alec Pierce is currently dealing with an injury and is 'hopeful to return to practice this week,' though his status remains a point of concern for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection28:18

The source is high on Brock Purdy, citing his status as a top-five fantasy quarterback in points per game last year and his role as a 'pseudo gunslinger' who leads the league in intermediate passing attempts.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveValue29:30

The source views Dak Prescott as a full tier above Brock Purdy, citing his superior supporting cast, including CeeDee Lamb and a returning offensive line, as reasons for his higher ranking.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

PositiveBreakout33:27

The source views Dalton Kincaid as an awesome tight end who is currently healthy and could see increased usage under a new offensive coordinator who prioritizes passing.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

PositiveProjection19:04

The source is more optimistic than the market on Daniel Jones, suggesting that if the offense under Shane Steichen can reach 24 points per game, he will be a valuable fantasy asset.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeInjury30:54

The source is skeptical about George Kittle's early-season availability and volume, noting he is coming off Achilles surgery and may require a ramp-up period, though acknowledging his elite efficiency when on the field.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeUsage36:32

The source notes Isaiah Likely will likely be the second-leading receiver for the Giants, but expresses concern about his fantasy value on a team committed to a run-heavy approach and his potential for part-time snap counts.

Insight page
NegativeRole38:26

The source expresses concern over Isaiah Likely's value as a part-time tight end, noting he will likely play fewer snaps than Travis Kelce did last year. While he is the team's second-best pass catcher, the source questions his weekly consistency, comparing his potential outcome to a 'Kyle Pitts rookie season' where he might reach 1,000 yards but struggle with touchdown production or overall fantasy utility.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveUsage20:54

The source views Jalen Warren as a featured back with significant pass-catching upside in an offense that will likely lean on him, noting his efficiency in pass protection and ability to run hard despite his size.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeUsage2:01

Hayden Winks ranks Kyren Williams 34th overall, citing a late-season shift toward a 50/50 split with Blake Corum during the final four games. Winks expects the Rams' offense to regress from their league-leading efficiency last year, making a committee backfield a significant risk to Williams' fantasy ceiling.

Insight page
PositiveUsage5:06

Josh Norris ranks Kyren Williams 26th overall, arguing that Sean McVay consistently leans on Williams when the game is close or trailing (75% snap share). Norris notes that Williams finished as the RB11 in points per game despite a high passing-touchdown rate, and expects a potential increase in rushing scores to sustain his value.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury25:30

Mike Evans is considered a 'do not draft' candidate by the source due to a recurring cycle of injuries, including a 33-year-old groin strain, quad issues, and a history of hamstring problems that cause him to miss games.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

PositiveUsage41:48

The source is skeptical that Rashee Rice will maintain his previous target dominance, citing concerns over his health (rehabbing a knee) and the potential for the Chiefs' offense to shift toward a more run-heavy, under-center style that could reduce his target share.

Insight page

Rashid Shaheed

PositiveBreakout52:37

The source identifies Rashid Shaheed as a 'quiet winner' of the offseason and a favorite late-round pick. They believe he can easily overtake Cooper Kupp in the offense, noting that his previous struggles were due to a mid-season trade and a difficult learning curve, which should be mitigated by a full offseason under the new play-caller.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

NegativeRole21:43

The source expects Rico Dowdle to serve primarily as a 'four-minute bruiser' or change-of-pace back, noting that he is unlikely to threaten for 50+ receptions and may lose the featured role to Jalen Warren.

Insight page

Theo Johnson

NegativeInjury39:36

Theo Johnson left practice after an apparent outburst involving his helmet and gloves, requiring assistance from trainers. The source notes this as part of a trend of 'mystery injuries' occurring during this point in the calendar.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

PositiveValue9:57

Hayden Winks ranks Travis Etienne 35th overall, highlighting a superior offensive environment under Kellen Moore and an improved offensive line. Winks believes Etienne will dominate early-down work and goal-line snaps, projecting him to be more effective than in previous seasons despite the presence of Alvin Kamara.

Insight page
NegativeProjection12:11

Josh Norris ranks Travis Etienne 43rd overall, noting that Etienne was the biggest beneficiary of favorable field position last year, leading all RBs in fantasy points on drives starting in opponent territory. Norris points to declining efficiency metrics in the second half of last season (3.6 YPC) and expresses concern about the Saints' overall offensive fragility.

Insight page

Travis Hunter

PositiveSleeper45:39

The source ranks Travis Hunter 163rd, viewing him as a high-upside 'contingent' asset. Despite current usage primarily on defense, the source argues that Hunter's elite talent and the potential for an injury to the Jaguars' starting wide receivers could force him into a significant offensive role, making him a worthy final-round dart throw.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveUsage20:16

Hayden Winks ranks Tyler Warren 67th overall, citing concerns about a groin injury and the arrival of Keenan Allen as a direct threat to Warren's target share. Winks is skeptical of the Colts' offensive floor given multiple injuries to key players and believes the tight end position is deep enough to stream.

Insight page
PositiveUsage23:23

Josh Norris ranks Tyler Warren 48th overall, emphasizing his role as the team's primary target leader as a rookie. Norris expects positive touchdown regression (from 5 to 8-10) and believes Shane Steichen's scheme will continue to prioritize Warren in high-value areas like the red zone and screen game.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

PositiveBreakout41:36

The source is optimistic about Xavier Worthy, ranking him 113th compared to the co-host's 139th. The reasoning centers on Worthy's health relative to Rashee Rice, the Chiefs' shift toward an under-center, play-action-heavy offense that favors deep passing, and the belief that Worthy will emerge as a full-time player once the team stops 'hiding' him.

0:00Fun Show for you today. Hayden and I go head to head.
0:03Yes, these are the players, the 10 players we disagree on the most.
0:07They surprise me. I think they'll surprise you. We don't just disagree on certain names.
0:11We also disagree on just teams in general, how certain players will be used overall this season.
0:16And you know, it's a little feisty at points.
0:19So stick around this episode of Yahoo Fantasy Football with Josh and Hayden.
0:22After 100 hours of shows this offseason, this is the episode you have all been waiting for.
0:27Me versus Hayden. Yes, the players that we disagree on the most.
0:31Some of these we've discussed this summer, Hayden. Some we haven't.
0:34Maybe we've held some of our opinions close to the chest so far in our discussions.
0:38This is a good one each and every year.
0:41Yeah, this is going to be a great show.
0:43Some of these names, we just like we're on the total opposite sides.
0:47And sometimes we're both kind of on the same side.
0:50But one of them just takes it to the extreme, which I like to hear as well.
0:55Yeah. Before we get going, leave in the comments down below who you think we're going to talk about.
1:00Pause this video. Do that because I know so many of you watch these episodes that you can tell I'm on this
1:06side, Hayden's on this side and vice versa for certain points.
1:09And let us know, you know, some of your flag plant players this draft season as well.
1:14Okay, we'll kick things off with a name that I wouldn't have expected us to be on this opposite ends of but here we are.
1:21Kyron Williams leads off this conversation. Hayden, you are 34th overall.
1:25I'm 26. By the way, you can find our rankings in the description down below both half PPR and full over on Yahoo.
1:31It's all free to all of you. Hayden, I guess you should go first here like giving your overall thoughts here in
1:37Kyron Williams and why we might be different. In the final four games of the year, including the NFL playoffs, Kyron Williams
1:44played between 50 and 63% of the snaps in the game that they got eliminated.
1:48He was at 50% of the snaps a near coin flipped here.
1:51Keep in mind that most of his games when he was like the locked in top five top 10 fantasy running back, he was like at 85%.
1:59What happens is Blake Corham just starts offering something that the Rams really appreciate.
2:03And we just have to wonder how good the Rams are going to be.
2:07Obviously, they're going to be good. But last year, they were number one in points per game yards per game and success
2:13rate last year is one of the highest success rate rushing offenses of the decade.
2:17And even with that, he was kind of where he is in ADP RB eight RB 12 usage and half PPR in
2:24previous seasons, he would have been in the mix for like an RB three type of finish.
2:28So I'm expecting the Rams to still be very good, but maybe not be quite as good as they were last season.
2:35They have a left tackle possibly can get suspended.
2:37They're just like, it's a kind of a fragile team, one that we expect to go all the way.
2:43And I don't think that the Blake Corham stuff is going away.
2:46It's probably going to be 60 40 somewhere in that range, but I'm just looking at the last four games of the
2:52season when they're trying to win the Superbowl. And that was a drive for drive rotation.
2:57That's okay. When you average 30 points per game, if we're averaging 25, 26 points per game, uh, that's where I think
3:03he gets a little bit trickier inside like the top 25.
3:06Interesting. You said the last four games of the season, obviously three of those were wins.
3:11One of them was a loss, uh, a very close one, a narrow one.
3:15Um, overall though, Kyron Williams has played 75% of the snaps when the Rams have been tied or trailing compared to Blake Corham's 24.4%.
3:21So while I understand that there were moments and some of them happened towards the end of the season, again, when they
3:28were three and one, um, that it was drive for drive.
3:31I do believe that just overall when the Rams, and it isn't very often when they are trailing or even close to the scoreboard as maybe their opponents.
3:39Um, I think Sean McVay leans more on Kyron Williams and he's going to continue to do that.
3:44Now, 73% of the Rams touchdowns last year were passing the fourth highest rate in the league.
3:49So I think that that could naturally get back to more rushing scores.
3:52And that would be incredibly advantageous for someone like Kyron Williams, because despite that number, Kyron Williams finished as the running back 11 and points per game.
4:00And right now he's being drafted on Yahoo as the running back 14.
4:04And he would tied for the third most red zone rushing scores on the fifth most rushing carries inside of the 10 yard line.
4:10So they can, you know, and once again, they're projected for what the most points in the league, if they do that again, great.
4:17If they still pass for a lot of touchdowns, he is still getting a lot of work in these high value touch areas that lead to fancy points.
4:25If they are a little bit worse, and I think that that might mean fewer passing scores, then I still think like
4:31this rushing aspect and a short yardage aspect has been so beneficial to Kyron Williams over the last three seasons that I
4:38just love to take the lead back. And I think he is the lead back, uh, on one of the highest projected offenses.
4:44Yeah. That's why I have Javante Williams one spot ahead.
4:47I just don't have to worry about somebody stealing goal line work in that situation.
4:51They're very similar play players. And then like the other thing is there's a bunch of wide receivers that I kind of
4:58put ahead of these, uh, running backs, uh, in this range.
5:01One of them being like Jalen Waddle, Ted, row of McMillan, like those types.
5:05Um, so it's, it's not that like, I think Kyron's like the worst pick, uh, out there.
5:09It's just that I think that this season's not, not going to exactly resemble the previous seasons.
5:14And if the Rams take a step back, whether it's injuries or something like that, this committee backfield is like one that
5:21would like really cause him to tank. Like the Rams have to be elite, elite for this to work.
5:26Uh, decent case that's going to happen, but in those other cases, it's going to be a pretty bad pick.
5:32Yeah. I'm just looking at where consensus rankings have Kyron Williams, the M 31st.
5:36So they're basically, you know, fencing in between us.
5:38Yeah. I mean, over the last three seasons, Kyron Williams has finished second, first, and third in fantasy points scored inside of the red zone.
5:45I mean, we just talk about touchdowns all the time and Kyron Williams, even when, you know, there have been challengers for
5:51his backfield and not Kyron Williams still scores a lot of touchdowns because, uh, he's on the LA Rams.
5:57All right. Next up is Travis HN. We're flipping this one.
6:00I'm 43rd. You have him 35th. Why are you so into Travis HN this year for the 17th time this off season?
6:06Yeah. Uh, well, I don't think anyone has agreed with me.
6:09So I got to make my case once again, I think it's the best environment he's ever been in, in terms of a neutral pace.
6:16They're going to be number one, number two, just how they were this last season.
6:21That's something that Kellen Moore always has. And the offensive line, I would say is average to good.
6:26And every single season with Jacksonville, it's been bad to horrific.
6:29And even with that, in three of his four seasons, he's, uh, totaled 1,399 yards.
6:33That's plenty enough to be worthy of an early round four selection.
6:37Alvin Kamara is injured. I don't think Alvin Kamara is very good.
6:40They gave him a lot of money to replace Alvin Kamara.
6:43They didn't know if he was even going to be a part of the team.
6:47Uh, the backups behind them are completely unproven players.
6:50They want him to be, uh, a, um, explosive type of player.
6:53And I think that he has the juice to do that behind an offensive line.
6:58That's going to be better than it ever was before.
7:00And then even last year, uh, he was the RB 11 on RB 14 usage.
7:05And that was with a committee. He was getting cut into two different ways.
7:09Uh, and he was still an effective player. I'm not sure if this is going to actually be cut into that many different ways.
7:15I think that he's going to be out there for a lot of the early down snaps.
7:20I'd be very surprised if Kamara is ever mixing in at the goal line.
7:24That's a pretty exciting role for a team. I think, uh, should be at least, uh, pretty high up there in terms of play volume.
7:31So to me, no player benefited more in fancy football from turnovers than Travis HN did last year.
7:36Rich Rebar had an unbelievable stat over on sharp football analysis that HN led all players last season in fancy points scored
7:43when the drive started in the opponent's side of the field with 82.2 fantasy points.
7:47The next closest running back was Jonathan Taylor at 30 points less at 52.4.
7:51Uh, and that's important because really in the second half of last season, since Jacksonville's week eight by like ETN, his underlying metrics were not good.
7:58You know, uh, he rushed for 3.6 yards per carry.
8:01That was 24th of 32 backs with a hundred plus attempts, a 32% success rate.
8:05That was 30th across the league. If you were to gain any yardage on a league high, 26% of his attempts over that span.
8:12Now, a lot of that can be attributed to the offensive line.
8:16As we always talk about with these running backs is not just individual stuff.
8:20Uh, as we discussed yesterday's show Jacksonville's offensive line for kind of the second year in a row was going through some chair shuffling.
8:26You would like to think that the saints with how much investment they have in their two tackle spots and then bringing
8:33David Edwards at guard could be better in that department.
8:35Um, but there's the numbers that we're working with and just overall with this one, I am basically lockstep where he's being selected.
8:42You're the one kind of on the ledge here, bringing him almost 10 spots higher than he is going anywhere else.
8:48Yep. I dropped him a ton. Uh, he's riding the three, four turn to me.
8:52This is where he finished last year. Uh, if not even higher than this in the overall scoring, I think a lot
8:58of those metrics that you pointed to was just the offensive line difference that I'm going for.
9:03And there's only so many, uh, ways to kind of beat consensus right now.
9:07I think offensive line remains one of those. We're talking about two first rounders at tackle David Edwards, the veteran been there
9:13before Eric McCoy, when he's out there is rock solid.
9:16And then their worst one is at least a former, uh, first round pick.
9:20Um, they just don't have like that many guys in the skill group.
9:24I think that he's also like a candidate to catch more passes than ever, just more play volume.
9:29Um, and it's going to be Devin Neal and Audrey estimate Kendra Miller behind them.
9:33Like, I don't think he's going to come off the field very much.
9:37I am starting to wonder if you can get a bit concerned that the saints offense in a perfect world on paper looks great.
9:44And then when you dig below the surface, it's quite fragile.
9:47Like every single one of these pieces pieces is fragile.
9:50Uh, Jordan Tyson, that's already happened. Chris Lave exit practice today.
9:53Hopefully he's totally fine. But as we heard, he actually has a clause in his contract is from Nick underhill that if
9:59it goes back to why he missed so many games for consecutive seasons about what head injuries and he can't be cleared
10:05anymore, then they basically can get out of that deal.
10:08We know about Tyler Shucks injuries in college and Travis agents in the NFL, all this type of stuff.
10:14So I think though, the number one talking point with Travis H and for me is this glut of wide receivers.
10:20Again, it's the conversation every single time I appreciate him, but for you, you are basically selecting him and you can tell
10:26me if I'm wrong with these names ahead of, again, this is just where the board has him, uh, say flowers, Jalen
10:32Waddle, Terrone, Melanie, Mecca, Buka and Ladd McConkie. Yeah.
10:35I think what happens though, especially on Yahoo, there's so much great value in like Matthew golden, like those types of guys,
10:41John stripling later on that I feel better about, you know, like drafting one or two strong wide receivers and then just
10:47like throwing three or four names into the house, the Jordan Addison tier.
10:51And then a lot of times you can get like Rome a dunce who I really like Christian Watson kind of at
10:57that five, six turns just kind of depends on the format that you're in a DJ more, those type of names, Jamison
11:03Williams, even sometimes Luther Burden can fall, uh, that far where, um, I still, as much as I like those wide receivers
11:09there, there are still some really strong wide receivers at the next turn, or you're gonna have to be stuck with, you
11:16know, the trade beyond Henderson's like that's like the five, six turn running backs.
11:20And I just think you're running backs before this.
11:22Yeah. Yeah, you definitely can. I'm not afraid and I'm not above going running back, running back, picking a wide receiver in round three.
11:29And then in round four, filling out my flex with Travis, uh, H and I've done that plenty.
11:34There you go. Yeah. I just can't take him above Zay flowers, Jalen model and some of the other wide receivers that we mentioned.
11:41So I think that's really the gap here versus maybe our actual running back ranking might be identical.
11:46It's more just the overall comparing him to the wide receiver selected around him at this point.
11:51I didn't mention the top of show. Now's the perfect time.
11:54Uh, you might be the judge of who wins this battle of the brains here.
11:58So less than the comments at the end, and you can even tie them by player by player.
12:03If you want to, who wins for Karen Williams, Travis, H and, and throughout here, and let us know at the end,
12:10who won the Hayden versus Josh debate of the rankings today.
12:13Next. I mean, it's basically the entire Colts passing game.
12:16We disagree on, uh, Tyler Warren. You have 67th overall.
12:18I'm 48th. Alec Pierce Hayden. You're one 13. I'm 84th.
12:21Daniel Jones, even one 97 for you. I'm one 33rd.
12:24So where should we begin? Tyler Warren or Alec Pierce, or what should we do here?
12:29Well, I'm going to win the Alec Pierce stuff.
12:31So let's, let's start, let's start with Tyler Warren.
12:34Cause that'll be actually an interesting debate here. Um, I'm factoring in the Keenan Allen stuff as a direct threat to Tyler Warren.
12:40Tyler Warren's dealing with this groin injury. Obviously that matters to some degree.
12:44I'm assuming he's going to be out there, but that's something that you can, that can always linger.
12:49There can be a setback in a perfect world.
12:52The Tyler Warren stuff is underneath dink and dunk all the way down the football field.
12:56Uh, I'm not sure if the Colts are going to be quite as great this year.
13:01Just looking at all of these injuries, Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, uh, Tyler Warren, Daniel Jones coming off injury.
13:06That's a lot when you're already losing Michael Pittman.
13:09So I'm not sure if it's Colts offense is going to be that amazing.
13:13I think Tyler Warren is a fine manufactured touch player.
13:15I don't think he's like Mr. Uh, isolation route runner.
13:18I think he's fine at that, but this is a pretty big difference between Colson Loveland and Tyler Warren, uh, in that degree.
13:25So I just, I'm just a little bit nervous about the floor of the entire offense.
13:29And I'm also nervous that Keenan Allen does a lot of the stuff that Tyler Warren does.
13:34And Keenan Allen has been just, uh, snatching souls for the last couple of years against guys that we draft in this territory.
13:41And I think in general, uh, some of the, the mid round, late round tight ends, I think are starting to look
13:47a little bit better where at one point I was like, you got to get a top eight guy.
13:52Now that we have some, some better names out like the tight end 10 to tight end 15.
13:57I do think you can put this position off and redraft and play the matchups if you want to.
14:03So the number one scoring offense from weeks one through 13 last year makes you concerned that there's no floor for this
14:09offense this year, last year, this, this upcoming year.
14:12Well, last year they were, I mean, that was the number one scoring offense with 30 points per game, 36 injuries ago.
14:18Fair. But that doesn't mean that they're going to go from like the number one scoring offense down to the 24th scoring offense.
14:24You know, like that's what happened when they got all room when they got injured, they were like the 24th offense.
14:30Well, I mean, this is all kind of tied also to Daniel Jones, who by literally every single account, either Robert Mays
14:37going there, the beat writers, everyone, they're saying that overwhelming positivity, that he's in good shape, that he is good to go.
14:43And they are doing everything basically that they did last year.
14:46And so to me, like that is the start of where everything goes from, from here.
14:50And with the Keenan Allen taking away from Tyler Warren, I think a large portion of that, if this team's going to
14:57still run some 12 personnel and he's going to come in and 11 personnel stuff is, is the third downs.
15:02Well, Tyler Warren, 49 of his targets last year on first down last year, 39 were on second down, and then just
15:0924 on third and fourth down of last year.
15:11So like weeks one through 13, again, when Daniel Jones was healthy last year, 10.7 points per game, that was a tight end six.
15:18And that was only on four touchdowns all season long, catching one rushing score.
15:22So like, to me, it's very easy how this goes up to the next level where he's a top four scoring tight end.
15:28It's going from five total touchdowns to eight touchdowns or nine touchdowns or 10 touchdowns.
15:33And I think that's important because like he led this team in targets already as a rookie.
15:38And it was very clear when you go back and watch this team that Shane Seiken absolutely loves to dial it up with him.
15:44It was split flow action. It was play action.
15:47It was boots. He's the best screen guy. On the team too.
15:50So I think Shane Seiken is going to continue that.
15:53And then he had 112 targets. Pittman had 111.
15:56The next closest was about 85. I don't think the app is really going to change that much.
16:01And I think Tyler Warren is like still going to lead this team in receiving.
16:05And I think they're just, you know, maybe not going to be a top five scoring offense, but 15th great.
16:11I'm still going to roll with Tyler Warren as the tight end four and the 48th overall player this year.
16:16Yeah. I just think there's too many good wide receivers and running backs in that range.
16:21And then to me versus like Jalen hurts, or you named one of the elite court or not the totally elite quarterbacks,
16:27like one of those like mid range quarterbacks. I'd rather stack up my quarterback with one of those wide receivers and go with, with Tyler Warren.
16:35I think it's, it's, he's a good player. I'm not sure if he has, like, I'm literally going to be like one
16:41of the guys that you need type of talent.
16:43I think that he's one tier below that. I'm just not sure that the volume is ever going to get there with
16:50us to be a pretty balanced offense as always, especially in the red zone.
16:54I think part of those red zone numbers, just because you have Jonathan Taylor out there, like you don't need to be throwing the ball too much.
17:01So there's just, there's just too many other tight end names that I feel comfortable with.
17:06At one point I was kind of with you, but kind of, as we learn more and more about the Colts, I'm
17:12just starting to get a little bit nervous. See, for me, he's like in the perfect spot behind your Emeka Gbuka's, Lad McConkie's, Garrett Wilson's and DeAndre Swift's.
17:20And then ahead of Dave Montgomery, Quinshon Jenkins, Terry McLaurin, Devontae Adams, all that area.
17:24Like that is a, you know, void in a draft where I think it's a clear tear break and I want all these players.
17:31And then I'm skeptical about all the others. And I would put him right at that group.
17:36Yeah. I mean, right now on Yahoo, ADP wise, Garrett Wilson goes right after Tyler Warren.
17:40I think that's, that's insane. Okay. But you're, you're much later than that though on him.
17:45So like, I think you can easily say, okay, if Garrett Wilson's off the board, then you're still taking, you know, a
17:51bunch of the other players after Tyler Warren ahead.
17:54Yeah. I mean, I think Terry McLaurin, Quinshaw Judkins, I think, uh, Bucky Irving, Devontae Adams, like there's, there's still a lot of names.
18:00I think they just have a higher, uh, fantasy point, a season, uh, available to them.
18:05And there's just been too many other tight ends that are just kind of rising up my rankings because of injuries, uh,
18:11elsewhere that I'm starting to get a little bit more comfortable with that rather than, uh, waiting too long.
18:17Yeah. I mean, 19 red zone targets last year as a rookie, that's 11th most of any wide receiver tight end across the league.
18:23And now he doesn't have Michael Pittman on top of it.
18:27And I hear you as like, maybe, I mean, I'm never going to say that he is the isolated route runner of Colson Loveland.
18:33He did have a sick ass rep of one-on-one against Patrick Sertan and just bodied him and demolished him and won that.
18:40I think he's fearless. I think he's strong. I think he absorbs contact that he wants to be the hammer on every single time he has the football.
18:48Um, and he was tied in three and route participation last year.
18:51So again, the pathway is so easy for me to see how he's not the tight end six again.
18:56It's by scoring more than five touchdowns. And I think he's going to score more than five touchdowns here this year, seven, eight, nine on top of that.
19:04And I, again, I guess the crux of the whole thing is I'm actually way more optimistic than seemingly everybody on Daniel
19:11Jones and Shane Steichen getting this back to, again, I'm not saying they have to be 30 points per game, but if
19:17they're down to 24 points per game, I mean, Hey, we're rolling here.
19:20And then like even Alec Pierce, it's interesting. Whenever I post about him online, it is met with, you know, a lot
19:27of pessimism out there, except for Colts fans who like closely follow the scene.
19:31And they all firmly believe that he is going to be ready for week one.
19:35We got the report today that he's quote hopeful to return to practice this week.
19:39Now, obviously anytime that you see him walking on the sideline, especially with Josh downs right now, it does not look great.
19:45Both are limping, but I, there's like this area of wide receivers where it's just like, okay, I can make the case here or there for them.
19:53And with Alec Pierce, when he's on the field, I know this is a very long season and I understand he's coming
19:59back from a major injury, but at some point I'm like, I'd rather take the shot on Alec Pierce knowing what we
20:06know versus these unknowns that, uh, I haven't seen do it to the same degree that Alec Pierce has done.
20:11And that's why I have him at 84. I'm just waiting for him to walk in a straight line.
20:17Like that's kind of the threshold I'm looking for.
20:19It just seems to be like the same exact limp.
20:22And like when he's signing autographs, he's limping there, he's walking next to Josh downs.
20:26It was also not walking in a straight line, uh, to your point there.
20:30And maybe this is how Tyler Warren, you get home where he is literally the last remaining body and they have to
20:36give them, uh, the rock a ton. But, um, it just seems like he's like knee and ankles buckling when I sit there and watch him walk.
20:44And, um, if I knew that I was being filmed every single time I would walk, I would try my hardest to walk normal.
20:51And it seems like we haven't cleared that threshold yet.
20:54And I think just times times ticking. Okay. Let's talk about Jalen Warren.
20:57He might be your favorite player in the league.
21:00Uh, you haven't seen fifth overall. I have an 81st overall.
21:03So again, this is one of those players that, um, I think we're actually quite opposite on and then he's going 73rd on Yahoo.
21:10So there's a nice eight section gap between kind of both of where you have him and then much later where I have him.
21:17So we talked about him yesterday show in the preseason two week, two notes.
21:21So what do you want to add here about Tyler or excuse me, Jalen Moore is the RB 20 on RB 22 usage last season.
21:28The Steelers were fourth and running back usage as a team because you know, his, his teammate was the MVP and caught a million passes.
21:35Uh, and that's what Jalen Warren could, could do with Aaron Rogers this year.
21:39I don't think that Rico Dowdle is ever going to be a threat for 50 plus, uh, receptions.
21:44He was always like the change of pace, kind of like hammer type, uh, with Mike, uh, Mike McCarthy.
21:49And in general, the McCarthy offenses want to be a little bit more pass heavy than run heavy.
21:54I think that he fits the bill. And then I always have thought that Jalen Warren is just a really good player in general.
22:01I think he's good in pass protection. I think he runs, uh, really hard for, for his size.
22:06He's five, eight to 15. There's a lot of running backs have had awesome seasons kind of in that ballpark.
22:12Uh, he can catch the ball cleanly. And I think that he's not, uh, I think he's going to probably split the
22:18goal line work with Rico Dowdle while catching a lot more passes than Rico Dowdle.
22:23So he's one of these, uh, running backs where I'm looking at the offensive line.
22:27It looks pretty solid to me. I think that Aaron Rogers is kind of like pigeonholed into an offense.
22:32That's going to have to be using the running backs quite a bit here.
22:36And there's enough talent on offense in general for this team to be, uh, hopefully close to league average, uh, on offense.
22:42So this is more just watching Jalen Warren. And finally we have like a season where it seems like they're going to like really lean on him.
22:50Uh, and I think that Rico Dowdle is going to be like a four minute bruiser type, but the actual featured back will be Jalen Warren.
22:57For someone who loves touchdowns as much as you do, I'm surprised you like Jalen Warren this much because for his career,
23:04Jalen Warren has converted six of 30 goal to go runs for touchdowns.
23:07Uh, that's 20%. Uh, if you look at inside the 10 yard line, his rate is way worse than someone like Rico Dowdle's for example.
23:14Um, so, you know, recently we've had either local writers or national people, Mike DeFabo, Mike Vecchiano say they expect Rico Dowdle
23:21to be the leader in this running back committee.
23:23Now they might be extrapolating based on, you know, Rico Dowdle's relationship with Mike McCarthy when he did have over, you know,
23:30what 12 or 1100 total yards together. Um, but I guess I get to the point with Jalen Warren is he better catch a whole bunch of passes.
23:37Can he do it to the same level that can, can he gain well did last year?
23:42He was like a legit downfield player. Are they going to use someone in that way when, you know, they've added Michael Pittman this year?
23:49Probably not. But at the same time, obviously we talked about the great Gretchen stat that he posted that six running backs got 85 targets last season.
23:57Five are going to the top two rounds. The six was, can he gain well?
24:01We know that Aaron Rogers always incorporates his running backs and stuff, but I'm just looking at touchdowns and Jalen Warren hasn't
24:08scored a whole bunch of those inside the 20 inside the 10.
24:11And if that is like the real, I think delineation in these six, seventh, eighth round running backs, uh, I'm not sure
24:17he's going to have it, but he will have passing volume obviously to hopefully make up for it.
24:22I think just from when he was drafted by the sealers versus what their offensive line is now, I think it's just a lot better.
24:29I mean, they have like two first rounders that they can plug in, uh, at tackle at any point or kick them
24:36inside, uh, Troy Fatano, Zach Frazier, those guys are really good players.
24:39And then, uh, they've been able to develop a bunch of these other types out there.
24:44Plus you have Darnell, uh, Washington kind of clearing lane.
24:46So, um, I think it's, it's a function of mostly like Aaron Rogers.
24:50Uh, I think they have to get these running backs involved.
24:53And, uh, I would just bet on the sealers offensive line paving the way for, um, these touches and plus just Rico
24:59Dowdle types, like at a certain point, the changing veteran grinder type, these guys like fall off a cliff sometimes.
25:05And if that happens, I, I would, I would not be that surprised.
25:09Uh, I'm going to use the same logic that you previously used as well, where, uh, Parker Washington is going three spots after Jalen Warren.
25:16And I'm going to take Parker Washington a hundred and a hundred times ahead of Jalen Warren.
25:21Yeah. I have not been in too many drafts where that's the decision.
25:24Like all the drafts I'm in Parker Washington's long gone, but maybe send me an invite next is Mike Evans.
25:30And actually we're going to talk about some other 49ers here because it's interesting.
25:34You're ahead of me on Mike Evans and I'm ahead of you on Brock Purdy and George Kittle.
25:39I don't know how that logic makes sense, but let's try to figure it out.
25:43Okay. Uh, I also don't think we've talked about Mike Evans one time this summer.
25:48So let's do it. Cause I actually think it's an extremely important conversation.
25:51He is my 67th overall player and you just moved him down to 60th overall.
25:56My issue with Mike Evans, uh, right now he's not participating in training camp.
26:00It's a groin issue. And that is after he had a quad issue already.
26:04I mean, reading between the lines, it seems like every time he tries to ramp up, he gets scaled back down again
26:10and he already left practice twice this week. So quad strain, groin strain, and we're not talking about groin strains with Brees
26:16Hall or Tyler Warren or Bill Krosky Merritt. We're talking about a 33 year old groin strain and Hayden.
26:21We also haven't even discussed the hamstring that has kept him out for about four straight seasons for multiple games in each of those years.
26:29So to me, we know that Mike Evans is a hall of fame talent.
26:32I would have loved a 27 year old Mike Evans to be a part of a Kyle Shanahan offense, but we get
26:39a 33 year old version of it that, uh, has barely touched the field this year.
26:43And that is highly, highly concerning for me for also a player that, I mean, I think we can expect him to
26:49miss a handful of games because he has done that almost each of the last few seasons.
26:54There was also a stint where he had his foot and ankle wrapped and he wasn't able to practice, uh, on that as well.
27:01So it's like literally his entire lower half here.
27:04Plus he had the collarbone injury from last year.
27:06So yeah, he's one, if he stays healthy, he's gonna, he's going to be pretty sweet.
27:11But, uh, even then I do wonder if they're going to like make him not an every down player, if they're going
27:17to, you know, try to keep them healthy for, for parts of the season.
27:21Uh, just Sean's dribbling your, your guy, George Kittle coming back CMC.
27:24Uh, we'll see. I I'm equally nervous. There is kind of like a pretty big tear break, you know, around Mike Evans in wider receiver land.
27:32So sometimes in like round five, uh, he's like kind of like the best name available, but I'd never feel comfortable with him.
27:38And I think a lot of the running backs in that range, I feel a little bit safer with, um, I thought he was fine last year.
27:46I didn't think that he was like the best player, uh, like he had been, um, in previous seasons.
27:51Yeah. And again, I am like 23 spots just at wide receiver, not overall, just at wide receiver ahead of the public in the market on Deshaun's dribbling.
27:59Yeah. And then Mike Evans now just on Yahoo is going next to Jameson Williams, Christian Watson, and Roman Dunsay.
28:05I really take all three of those names ahead of Mike Evans.
28:08Like to me, he's almost on a do not draft list at this moment.
28:12Yeah. Yeah. I, all those younger guys, I like a lot more.
28:16Okay. Well, I'm so very into Brock Purdy and George Kittle.
28:19Um, again, you have Brock Purdy, 103rd, I'm 77th here.
28:22He's in that cluster of other quarterbacks to me that I think this is why, uh, he's this much higher than he is for you.
28:29Like I'm ahead of Dak Prescott and Trevor Lawrence.
28:31Um, it's simply put like this is a beat up group he played with last year, offensive line skill room.
28:37He was beat up too. And he still was what the quarterback five in points per game.
28:42I understand that the easiest schedule in the NFL last year, other than the New England Patriots.
28:47But what I love is in this offense, he scores fancy points and in this offense, he throws down the field multiple times.
28:53He has led the NFL in terms of, uh, throws 10 or more yards down the field.
28:58And, uh, he's healthy at this point. It's very different than hopefully he was last year.
29:03Uh, and if that's the case, I still believe in him as kind of a pseudo gunslinger, even though he didn't have
29:09that mentality early on in his career. I, I agreed with a lot of your analysis.
29:13I just like disagree with, with how we're valuing it.
29:16I just can't put them ahead of, uh, like that entire tier group.
29:20And I'm just like letting the board kind of fall to me where like just whoever still available is going to be my quarterback.
29:27But I do think someone like Dak Prescott is just a full tier ahead.
29:31Just looking at the weapons, the offensive line. Uh, I just think that it's just two totally different animals that we're working
29:37with, with CD lamb, George pick and then entirely returning offensive line rather than what, what Brock Purdy is doing, dealing with.
29:43And I just think that Dak is still just a better quarterback in general.
29:47Uh, so yeah, I'm fine with Brock Purdy. It's just, I don't draft a lot of Mike Evans.
29:52Um, I don't draft a whole lot of George Kittle, which we'll get to.
29:56So there's not that many times where I'm forced into like stacking up Brock Purdy.
30:00And I, I draft like a lot of the other, um, wide receivers that are attached to the quarterbacks that go around them.
30:07So like to me, uh, quarterbacks easy this year, I'm waiting and then I'm stacking and I don't really have to like nail the exact rankings.
30:14These guys kind of all are pretty similar to me and I just want to stack my quarterbacks and I'm not going
30:21to force the issue with Brock Purdy versus somebody else.
30:23Yeah. I mean, as we talked about in the round by round analysis of our favorite picks, like I'm taking the guy
30:30that's falling here, whether it be Purdy, Dak Prescott, Trevor Lawrence, or Bo Nix, like I'm happy to do that.
30:35But again, if I'm prioritizing, striveling, if I'm taking George Kittle, uh, and happy with him, like around ahead of where he's
30:42going right now, which by the way, I think that is going to extremely change over the next couple of weeks.
30:47Then, um, then yeah, I do end up with Brock Purdy because, uh, I am already drafting his stacking options just quickly on Kittle.
30:54Um, when they played together, he has a team high in terms of end zone targets at 33%, 2.18 yards per route
31:01run, which ranked third among tight ends last year.
31:03You know, he's third in fancy points per route.
31:06He's an animal. He's a freak. I think he is one of these guys that, uh, is just built different.
31:11And despite his age comes back from these injuries at a high level.
31:15And to the point that you said before, he's very easy to pair.
31:19If you have some early season concerns with Jawan Johnson, for example.
31:22And so if I am out on Mike Evans and I'm in on Brock Purdy, then I need to also be in
31:28on the likes of George Kittle and striveling because I believe in this offense and I believe that the passing game is still going to be successful.
31:36And if Evans isn't going to do it to the degree that other people think he is, then I think Kittle and
31:42striveling are going to do it for them. Yeah.
31:45To me, the Kittle one's fascinating because it just comes down to like how healthy he is and like, he's going to be out there early on.
31:52Is he going to be out there in a full-time capacity or anywhere near that?
31:57Uh, I'm maybe more skeptical than many people with that.
32:00And then also he's never been an elite, like volume guy.
32:03He's just been the best in the highest efficient player in the entire league.
32:07And I think that's asking a lot. So he, he either needs to just be as good as he was before the
32:13injury, which is, I think it's asking a lot or his volume has to come up.
32:17And I'm just not sure if this would be the season where all of a sudden his volume is going to come up.
32:24So if you just like start, uh, dinging down his efficiency numbers and like kind of keep his volume kind of where
32:30it is, it's hard for me to make the math work.
32:33Now, your point is he's been an outlier forever and he's just going to do it again.
32:38And that is possible, but I think that we're kind of pushing this pretty far.
32:42Now we're talking about a, what 30, almost 33 year old, uh, in nine months, uh, from his Achilles surgery will be week one.
32:49Um, and I think that's, uh, it's possible that he returns there, but I would just guess like the first half of
32:55the season, he's going to be like ramping up.
32:58And by that point, it's a little bit too late.
33:01Do you have Harold Fannin still over? I do.
33:03I do. I think that, I think that the target difference between the two is going to be, um, pretty substantial.
33:09Um, I don't have like those guys like that far apart anymore.
33:13I've been moving Kittle up just a little bit to me, someone like Sam Laporta, Kyle pits, like those are the ones
33:19where I just think that there's like way more upside, uh, well ahead of George Kittle.
33:23Yeah. Um, I think that Dalton Kincaid versus George Kittle is fascinating.
33:27Dalton Kincaid is healthy right now. He's also awesome on a per route basis.
33:31Um, and he's the younger player. Both offenses are good.
33:34So I think George Kittle versus Kincaid's interesting. Uh, I would just rather take the player not coming off the torn Achilles.
33:40Interesting. I think with the Kincaid stuff is in the last few years, he has supposed to have been the go-to player for them.
33:47And now DJ Moore is going to be the go-to player for them.
33:50Maybe. Yeah. I think DJ Moore is going to be a factor there.
33:54I also think that Dalton Kincaid has been playing through like a ton of injuries over these, over the years.
34:00And I do wonder if like now that he's healthy right now going into the year, if he's going to be like
34:06able to be a bigger part of that offense.
34:09Um, but you just have like different, uh, like the, the fact that the offensive coordinator is now the head coach and stuff.
34:15I do wonder if they're going to kind of soften some of the stuff that maybe McDermott wasn't comfortable with, with Dalton Kincaid.
34:22Maybe the offensive minds like, dude, we're trying to put up points here and we're going to pass the ball.
34:27And Dalton Kincaid is going to be a big part of that.
34:31Cause every single time he's out in the route, I think, I do think that Dalton Kincaid is an awesome tight end.
34:37It just only when he's out, but maybe routes, he's just not on the field as much, but maybe that changes.
34:43Like you said, that's, that's, that's kind of what I'm hoping for with him.
34:47Okay. Yeah. I'm still 13 spots, uh, from George Kittle to Harold Fannin hiring Kittle because, um, I think the 49ers are
34:53going to score way more points than, than the Browns.
34:56And we have talked about how Harold Fannin last year really got home because he was the only dependable pass catcher on that team.
35:03And he was the easy button on that offense.
35:05And I don't think he's going to be the easy button on that offense anymore.
35:10That's Casey. Yeah. Yeah. The other thing that the 49ers this year projected for 25 points, there's been a lot of seasons
35:16where they've been like close to like 30 points when Kittle's been getting home.
35:20And, um, I do think I'm pretty nervous about the 49ers just in general.
35:24Like it's another one of these like pretty fragile offenses where like, I would not be surprised like this is the first
35:30time ever, like they finished outside the top 10 in scoring just because of how fragile everything is.
35:35I've got some exciting news for you bills fans, or if you just live in the Buffalo area and watch our show.
35:41Yes. Yahoo fantasy draft weekend presented by burst is coming to Dick's house of sports in the Buffalo area.
35:47That is this Saturday, August 29th, three to 7 PM.
35:50I will be there. Justin Boone will be there.
35:52And the wide receiver guru, Matt Harmon will be there as well for a special live edition of the Yahoo fantasy forecast.
35:58We're going to break down everything that you need to know for your fantasy draft, but to answer your questions.
36:04And again, it's gonna be a live show for you all to sit in and watch and listen to and contribute to.
36:10Plus we'll give away some free things along the way.
36:13So if you're getting ready for your draft, this is the place to be.
36:17Bring your league mates, bring your friends, your fiance, your dog, whatever.
36:21Come hang out with us. We'll see you in Amherst, New York this Saturday, August 29th at 3 PM.
36:26Okay. Let's talk more tight ends then. Cause you have Isaiah likely highest among everyone at Yahoo at 108 overall.
36:32Um, interesting though. You were the lowest on the quarterback.
36:34I have Isaiah likely 137th overall. So, uh, talk to me about Isaiah likely and what you love about him this year.
36:41Yeah. This to me is just about the other wide receivers that are, that are out there.
36:45It's going to be like Malachi fields and Darius Slayton in a part-time role.
36:49And Isaiah likely is going to be out there for almost all of the passing snaps.
36:54Um, and he's going to be out in the route.
36:57It's just be like him neighbors and fields. Cause like, they're going to have like, you know, uh, a second tight end
37:03or, um, uh, Patrick Ricard, one of those types out there.
37:06And in the preseason, whenever they were passing the ball, he was like a slot wide receiver.
37:11Like he was never had his hand in the dirt.
37:14And I just think the giants are going to have some, some games are going to have to pass the ball late
37:20and they paid them a lot of money. And there's some familiarity, uh, with this.
37:24And he's been so dominant in training camp that, um, I'm willing to like somewhat ignore the preseason week one usage from
37:31him, which was, I think moderately concerning and just look around the room here and like, you know, NFL offense is still past the ball a lot.
37:38And I'm not going to pencil in Malachi fields and Darius Slayton for more than a couple of catches per game.
37:44And they signed Isaiah likely for that, for, uh, that reason.
37:47So, um, so I know some are a lot higher than I, than, than I am with Isaiah likely.
37:53I still think this is a pretty rock solid price for him.
37:56Yeah. I think we agree that he's going to probably be the second leading receiver on the giants.
38:01I'm just concerned at how valuable that's going to be on a team that has told us all off season.
38:07They're going to run, run, run, run, run. And I don't want to kind of over estimate how much of a fantasy
38:13impact or an impact overall that the second leading pass catcher on the giants is going to be like Travis Kelsey last year was a full-time player.
38:21I even think Travis Kelsey in his current form still is a better player than Isaiah likely was.
38:26He was playing for Matt Nagy last year and Travis Kelsey finished with like 9.1 fantasy points.
38:31Um, I think Isaiah like he's going to play fewer snaps than Travis Kelsey did last year.
38:36And I'm kind of just not in the business of really recommending part-time tight ends.
38:40Um, so this team has Theo Johnson, they have Chris Manhurts, they have Patrick Ricard, they have Isaiah likely.
38:45So yes, when they have likely and another tight end on the field, that will mean good things for Isaiah likely.
38:51Cause again, he's the second best pass catcher out there.
38:54I also think there's going to be a number of snaps where he's not on the field and they can run and pass in those situations.
39:01So I kind of wonder if we even get like a cow pits rookie season from him in a way where it's
39:08like, Oh, we get a thousand yards, but then he's also the tight end 10 because he doesn't score touchdowns or he
39:14has fewer yards and maybe he scores one or two extra touchdowns than that.
39:18I just, I guess I'm concerned overall of how valuable this giant second best pass catcher is going to be in the grand scheme of things.
39:25When we look back on the season, if he gets a thousand yards, but that's, that's a W that I'm not expecting you in that.
39:32That would be, that'd be amazing. Uh, other things Theo Johnson left practice yesterday.
39:36Uh, apparently he, uh, threw his helmet, ripped his blood, uh, gloves off and then, uh, had to be, um, pushed away with, with trainers.
39:43So we'll see. So we're getting to the point of the calendar where there's some of the, some of these mystery injuries,
39:50which I have no idea what it's, what's going to be about.
39:53But the second we start losing a blocking tight end, then there's just gonna have to like be out there for, for all the snaps.
40:00And at that point, uh, the number two target, uh, that would be playing in a, like a really, really heavy role,
40:06I think is too, too good to ignore. Again, the team that has told us over and over and over again, that they're going to run the football.
40:14I'm just not exactly sure how big of a deal their second best pass catcher is going to be.
40:20Yeah. I have it as a tight end 12th.
40:22So it's, to me, this is just the part of the draft where the Yahoo ADPs like normalize.
40:27I'm still trying to figure out why every tight end on Yahoo goes like two or three rounds, sometimes even more than that earlier than anywhere else.
40:35Um, so it's like, always just like shocking to me to like get into the Yahoo draft.
40:40And then like all the players I'm used to drafting in like the eighth and ninth round or like now fifth round picks.
40:46I'm like, what am I supposed to do with that?
40:49Right. Just overall though, like I have it, Juwan Johnson, then Dallas Goddard, then Andrew strange, Jake Ferguson, and then Isaiah likely.
40:55So he's in that same tier of the last four names I just mentioned, but all those guys are full-time players compared to Isaiah likely.
41:02And that's why he's at the end of the group for me.
41:06Yeah. He just more like the mystery box. Like there's a chance that he can kind of like, uh, get out of
41:12like that, like tight ends to upside kind of tier where he's like, he could just be such a big part of the past game.
41:19Uh, because they really don't know that all those guys have already escaped the tight end to mystery box for stretches of their season.
41:26Yeah. I think those are, those are a lot of like older players.
41:30And, um, I think Isaiah likely is in the prime of his career.
41:33Okay. Next is Xavier worthy. I have him one 39th.
41:36You have him one 13th. Talk to me. Why are you into Xavier worthy in the year of 2026?
41:42Well, I just have not watched Rashi rice, uh, you know, run without a limp Xavier worthy is coming back from practice,
41:48but that was like a more mild shoulder injury rather than, you know, he wasn't rehabbing his knee in jail, for example.
41:54So I just feel better about, uh, Xavier worthy coming back to the practice field rather than Rashi rice.
41:59I've just noticed the chief's offense, both in the training camp reports and then what they've shown in preseason, this is going
42:06to be a like under center play action and then throw some deep passes type of offense.
42:11And I do think that Xavier worthy has a much better chance, uh, in that, uh, situation.
42:15And, uh, I'm just very skeptical that Rashi rice is going to be as target dominant as he was same thing with Travis Kelsey.
42:22And if you're looking around that, that tier, there's a lot of wide receivers that are on like, you know, pretty bad offenses around him.
42:29And I think that Xavier worthy, uh, he's at least attached to a, to an offense.
42:34That's always going to be like top 10 or just about a top 10.
42:38So we'll see year three, lots, lots riding on them this entire last season.
42:42If you wanted to, you can press the ignore button because they were forcing him into a role that they did not
42:48want him to be in because of the injury.
42:51Um, and at some point I think they have to like, let go of the, of those kinds of, um, the ways
42:57that they were hiding them and see what they actually have with Xavier worthy.
43:01So I think this is a pure dart throw.
43:03Um, and after Matthew golden's gone, Xavier, where it's one of these names where like, I think he's gonna be a full-time player.
43:10I think he has proven he's quite a bad downfield wide receiver in the NFL.
43:14And from he's like a nine yard underneath wide receiver so far in his career.
43:18I mean, he's got four 16, 20 plus yard targets last year, seven of 21 the year before that.
43:24I mean, he was four 13, the intermediate section again, back in 2024.
43:27I think there are some physical limitations to him where these NFL corners just don't allow him to play fast.
43:33They force him to play at their speed and you need to be, you know, more than speed to be a vertical pass catcher down the field.
43:41He has three games of reaching 80 yards receiving over 34 in his career so far.
43:45Um, and then yeah, the Urcolano stat in games where Rashi Rice has played, Xavier worthy has averaged 2.7 catches per game.
43:52So Xavier worthy right now is the one who's not in team drills and Rashi Rice is the one who's in team drills.
43:58Yeah. I think those, that's just a totally different style of offense.
44:01Like if we think this is going to be the Kenneth Walker show under center, then I think a lot of the
44:08ways that Rashi Rice was getting the ball to was because they didn't have that type.
44:12And when you do have that type players like Xavier worthy, become a little bit more effective.
44:17So we'll see. I'm, I think I'm, I'm okay.
44:20Rolling the dice on a player that played through injury the entire previous season.
44:24And every single one of those stats, those are included when he was just not, uh, healthy, uh, in those seasons.
44:30And if that gets kind of squared away, then maybe that those data points were just like, not, uh, all that exciting
44:36to, to be using as we, you know, project forward for a season where I'm, I'm expecting him to be healthier this
44:42year than he was, uh, last year for sure.
44:45Yeah. I also believe that Tyquan Thornton has shown himself to be a better downfield connection than Xavier worthy has been throughout
44:51like, again, the 34 games with Patrick Williams. Yeah.
44:53Patrick Williams missed Xavier where that can't happen. Yeah.
44:56No, I mean, he's missed everyone. He's missed everyone down the field over the last couple of years.
45:01I would say a lot of those downfield numbers that you're citing.
45:04Um, I can look at those and be like, well, Patrick Williams puts it on the money and we're looking at ADR touchdowns.
45:11I think a lot is a stretch. I think Xavier worthy has really struggled to get down the field against physical corners.
45:17Like to me, he just kind of gets bodied in those situations.
45:21Yeah. But I don't disagree. We're talking about the wide receiver 50 something in drafts.
45:25Yeah. Well, you wanted to talk about him. This, this was a name that you brought up.
45:30Yeah. I'm saying the chiefs full-time player. Let's see what happens.
45:33Former first rounder. Let's see what happens. Okay. We'll close these out with a, I guess a wide receiver and Travis Hunter.
45:39You have him one 63rd and that's really the talking point here is you haven't won 63rd.
45:44So like that is fringing on your top one 50 overall players.
45:47For me, I'm not really like, cause with Yahoo, we have to factor in these defenses and kickers.
45:52So like his ranking of 200 ish for me, like doesn't matter here.
45:56But, uh, why, why are you even have Travis Hunter close to the top one 50, which to me is like what
46:02everyone from home should be drafting off of? Like there's a chance that they end up with Travis Hunter at the end of their drafts.
46:09If they use your rankings. Perfect. I mean, most players around him are going to score nothing and there can't be relied upon.
46:16And I think that's going to happen with Travis Hunter until it doesn't until there's an injury, by the way, Jacoby Myers, like mystery injury.
46:23Don't know what the hell it is. No one has a good idea what the exact injury is.
46:28Um, and that's all it takes for Travis Hunter to become, uh, somebody that they really need.
46:33I think that his wide receiver film is very good.
46:36And the second he's in the starting lineup and he's a player that's getting more than 50% of the snaps.
46:41I think he's going to be very intriguing. So he's almost like a contingent running back.
46:46We draft a lot of contingent running backs. Um, not a lot of those contingent running backs for the second overall pick, uh, in the NFL draft.
46:54I think there's a lot of talent with him and he's just waiting for somebody to go down with an injury and
47:00then he's gonna be forced out of there. Or Jacksonville just says we're getting this guy on the field.
47:05And this guy is actually one of the most unique players, uh, to, to ever enter the NFL.
47:10So with the last pick in your draft, I'm okay.
47:13Waiting a month, figuring out if you're in, if it's going to work or not.
47:17And if I lose out on, you know, Brian Robinson jr or something like that, so be it.
47:23Yeah. I mean, I would love for him to play more wide receiver.
47:26Uh, he's awesome at it. I really feel like last year there was a sliding doors moment that if he did play
47:32more than he would be almost locked into the starting, when the starting wide receiver jobs this year, but the injury did happen last year.
47:40And to me, the Jaguars have shown like very little inclination of adding snaps to wide receiver.
47:44And in fact, and I think they're drastically taking them away.
47:48Um, Travis Hunter spent the vast majority of his reps over the last week at quarterback, according to our guy, John Shipley,
47:54he did not spend a single 11 on 11 rep on offense on Sunday, for example, that was with Jacoby Myers hurt.
48:00So if we look at the depth chart and we read some of the beat writers, they're saying that Travis Hunter is
48:06basically only working at X and that is as Brian Thomas jr's direct backup.
48:10And that's it. Um, in the joint practices, which, you know, I think for a lot of these teams, especially someone like
48:16Travis Hunter, who we're not going to see a probably for a single snap in preseason.
48:21Um, maybe we should read into that more than any of these preseason games for the Jaguars.
48:26He had 28 snaps on defense and two on offense.
48:29Now that is notable. They were splitting the field.
48:31So it was just offense on one side and defense on the other end, they're going back and forth and all that type of stuff.
48:38But, uh, yeah, I mean, I think he's the Jaguars cornerback one.
48:42I know the season is extremely long. And if he does line up as a starting wide receiver, I think he's capable of doing it.
48:49Then I'd be really excited. But again, uh, despite what Travis Hunter and Liam Cohen and James Gladstone have said, I think
48:55their actions have spoken so far this off season that Travis Hunter is going to see the vast, vast, vast majority of his snaps on defense.
49:02I think they've told him to put on weight because they wanted to play a ton of snaps.
49:08And I think that's means on both sides of the ball.
49:11Um, I think that the scrimmage stuff, I don't know how the layout of the practice is like it might've literally been
49:17impossible because they were scrimmaging on both sides of the field and stuff.
49:21I just don't know what that split could be.
49:23That could be total nothing burger. Um, Brian Thomas left with an injury today.
49:27Jacoby's banged up right now. Like this is how all of a sudden it brought, if he was a full-time player in
49:33this offense, we would be drafting him in the fifth round.
49:36And like, we're not that far away from that happening because one of any of the three wide receivers going down in
49:43front of them would unlock the potential for him to get out there.
49:46And then there's also just the potential for him to play both sides of the ball and that's it.
49:52Um, and he'd be a totally unique player if that happens, but I agree with you.
49:56Season is long. And that's why I want to hold onto Travis under with my, my last pick.
50:01I think he's going to be tough to hang on to if he's not playing wide receiver in week one or week
50:08two or week three at the end of your bench.
50:10And like, we have these waivers and everything of players that are showing out and all that type of stuff.
50:16So to me, he's kind of a tough pick to hang on to that you do make in your final round.
50:22Yeah. Obviously it depends on how big your league is.
50:25There's also just like too many wide receivers. I just don't see like the true upside of them connecting on.
50:31So like, you know, it's, it's kind of like the, the Trey Harris, uh, we'll see about like Debo, Samuel, Pat, Brian,
50:37like these types of guys, uh, get drafted ahead of them.
50:40Like Rashid Shahid, like what's I like Rashid Shahid, but he's only going to get so many targets per game.
50:46Like I just don't see the pathway for, for a lot of the guys in front of them to get enough volume
50:52where they're going to like be consistent top 30 assets.
50:55And we're one injury away from Travis Hunter, I think being one of those guys.
50:59So it's kind of, it's just like the, would you rather have Kenny Gainwell or tank big speed debate?
51:04It's like the same exact thing at wide receiver.
51:07And I've always on the side of the tank bigs bees where if something goes our way, we have like a league
51:13winner rather than someone that was like moderately helpful in helping you out.
51:17I mean, it is on my radar that the dude had no idea where to line up for the first seven weeks of last year.
51:24And then he has spent these last week and a half doing almost solely defensive work.
51:29And so then asking him to know exactly where to line up in any of these three wide receiver spots seems like a stretch to me.
51:36So I kind of understand it from their perspective.
51:38If he's only learning X and he's the direct backup to Brian Thomas Jr.
51:42And so if BTJ misses time or gets traded or whatever, then yes, I am all in.
51:47But again, for someone that seemed kind of overwhelmed, and it made sense based on his college days, I'm not sure if
51:53I've, and it doesn't seem like they're comfortable with him being like, Oh, Jacoby's out.
51:58You're just going to play Jacoby spot or Parker Washington's out.
52:01You're just going to play in his spot. Like, I'm not sure if they're there yet with him right now.
52:07Yeah. Well, then this is just to me, just like all about the upside play.
52:11And I think in redraft, like that's the best, that's a really good spot to be in because you're not going to
52:17play them until you feel comfortable with it. And I think we would have the signs that like they're, they're ready to unleash them.
52:24And I think that's going to be due to injury if anything else, but you know, how many teams have their top
52:30three wide receivers stay healthy the entire season? This doesn't happen very often.
52:34Yeah. You and I also really disagree on Rashid Shahid.
52:37Like I'm 126th. I'm the highest of the group.
52:39And then you have him 145th. I think this could be like a real Rashid Shahid breakout.
52:44Uh, now who knows if the Seahawks are going to be as good as they were last year as the most efficient,
52:50you know, off play action, all that type of stuff.
52:53But I think it was a tall ask for him to hit the ground running after being traded mid season for a
52:59team that was already winning a whole bunch of games, uh, despite knowing Clint could be X offense.
53:04And obviously now it's Brian Flurry calling passes or calling place.
53:08Um, but I think it's quite easy for him to overtake Cooper cup in this offense and Tori Horton's already injured.
53:13And so, uh, I think Rashid Shahid is one of my favorite late round wide receiver picks right now.
53:19A hundred percent. Yeah. I got, I think he's the same thing where talking about defenses and kickers and whatnot.
53:25And in my rankings where, uh, maybe I'm a little bit more aggressive on those positions than Rashid Shahid.
53:30I think Rashid Shahid is not even close in versus Cooper cup.
53:33It's like not even close. Right. Yeah. Right. Yeah.
53:36He's kind of maybe like one of the, I think quiet winners of the off season, but he's getting zero work mainly
53:42because of, you know, barely playing, but, uh, I highly doubt he barely plays this year.
53:47So I'm excited to see what Rashid Shahid does.
53:49Um, okay. I think that does it. Um, beautiful.
53:52The next show is your least favorite pick in every single round.
53:55We already have our favorite pick in every single round.
53:58Both his videos are already on the channel. My version of that comes out on Sunday.
54:03And then while I'm out away up in Buffalo, New York, uh, which by the way, Dick's house of sport, all of
54:09you can come join me and Matt Harmon and Justin Boone there on a Saturday for a live show.
54:14Um, you're going to have some guests on for Thursday, correct?
54:17I am Jacob and Sam from the waiver wire shows the previous they're coming on.
54:22We're doing like a little truth serum, just like, let it rip.
54:25Uh, don't be afraid of being wrong and just let it rip.
54:28You mean the actual truth. And those guys, uh, aren't afraid of doing that.
54:32So I'm excited for it. Love that. It's going to be an awesome show.
54:36I'll definitely watch it while I am away. Um, you've all been watching our shows at a ridiculous rate over the last few days and few weeks.
