Adonai Mitchell

PositiveValue19:39

Mitchell is only rostered in 16% of leagues and ranks as the top waiver wire wide receiver add this week. The source recommends spending 15-20-25% FAAB on him, with conviction he could be a WR5 moving forward. Key factors: Geno Smith's elite pass protection (fifth-lowest pressure rate weeks 1-2) enables downfield shots; Mitchell has 12 targets and 150 air yards this week; favorable schedule ahead (Lions, Bears, Browns defenses over next three weeks); and he's providing floor consistency with 60 yards in back-to-back games despite no touchdowns yet.

Insight page
PositiveRole21:34

Mitchell is locked into a two-wide-receiver set starter role for the Jets, with Isaiah Williams and Kenan Sadiq rotating in the slot. The source notes Mitchell is providing consistent production in close games and winning game scripts, not in negative situations, which supports his floor and ceiling.

Insight page
PositiveProjection21:50

Mitchell has not yet scored a touchdown despite strong target volume and air yards, which has kept his peak game totals below Dontavian Wicks and Trey Tucker. Once he adds a touchdown (6 points), combined with his typical 30-yard floor, he will exceed the peak performances of both comparison players, making him the clear priority add.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

NegativeDepth Chart41:50

The source advises holding Bijan Robinson and other Falcons players rather than dropping them, as Michael Pennix is expected to start at quarterback this Thursday; the source believes Pennix's arrival will improve the Falcons offense.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveProjection28:03

Bryce Young is rostered at 33% in Yahoo leagues and is a top-three passer in the NFC South through two weeks with really good volume; his team has the second-highest pass play expected rate (only behind Dallas), which is surprising given Carolina's defensive profile; the defense may help Young in fantasy some weeks, though the source's preference is Tyler Shuck due to Shuck's superior pace-driven volume.

Insight page
PositiveProjection28:42

Bryce Young ranked QB2 and QB5 in fantasy scoring through Week 2; the source attributes this to Carolina's pass-heavy offense (second-highest pass rate only behind Dallas) and defensive support creating turnovers and short fields. The source views this as a short-term play with favorable matchups against the Browns and Lions over the next two weeks, mirroring the 37 and 34 points scored against the Bears and Falcons in Weeks 1–2. However, the source cautions that the schedule becomes more difficult after Week 4 with matchups against the Eagles, Broncos, Saints, and Ravens, and expresses less confidence against top defenses.

Insight page
PositiveRole29:58

The source emphasizes that Carolina's pass-heavy offensive scheme and down-field passing approach, combined with consistent three-receiver sets featuring Bryce, Tedrow McMillan, and Jalen Coker, suggest this is not a fluke. The source states 'good things have really happened' with this trio together and expresses confidence in the team's passing volume, particularly against weaker defenses.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

NegativeRole39:06

Rodriguez has 3.6 points through two weeks and is losing snaps and goal-line work to Jaylen Toot; Toot received the wildcat carry inside the five-yard line while Rodriguez was sidelined, and Toot's snap share increased significantly week-over-week despite similar overall touch counts.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

NegativeRole40:34

Sutton has 6.1 points despite being drafted in 83% of leagues; he is squeezed between Jalen Waddle as the primary big-play pass catcher and Pat Bryant, who is receiving manufactured touches as a younger alternative. The source characterizes Sutton as a wide receiver handcuff with unpredictable weekly production and has evolved into a touchdown-or-bust player with reduced volume compared to prior seasons.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveBreakout25:04

Boston, a rookie WR for Cleveland, opened as WR19 and WR10 in back-to-back weeks and is running significantly more routes than teammate Casey Ogunbowale. The source believes the two best games may have already passed due to touchdown-dependent performances, but projects Boston as the likely breakout candidate if Cleveland experiences a rookie WR emergence later in the season, suggesting long-term upside beyond the early-season spike.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveProjection41:50

The source advises holding Drake London and not dropping him; with Michael Pennix starting at quarterback this Thursday, the source believes Pennix is a perfect fit for London's skill set and that the Falcons offense only needs to be below average (not the worst) for London to produce on a weekly basis.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection41:15

Maye was drafted third or fourth among quarterbacks but is not performing at that level; with AJ Brown on injury reserve for at least three games, the source recommends looking for alternatives rather than dropping him outright. Maye is now matchup-dependent rather than a set-and-forget starter, with difficult matchups against the Jaguars and Bills over the next two weeks; the absence of both AJ Brown and Stefon Diggs means the weapons are not there to support his passing game.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveUsage30:30

Emmanuel Wilson played 29 snaps compared to 24 for Jadarian Price and 18 for George Holani in Week 3. Wilson recorded 21 carries for 92 yards versus Price's 13 carries for 52 yards. The source notes that Wilson is being used as a short-yardage and goal-line back, similar to Kenneth Walker's role last year, with red zone carries split 4–3 in Wilson's favor. After Price exited with a shoulder injury at 2:29 left in the third quarter, Wilson had 14 carries for 21 yards, indicating he took over the workload.

Insight page

Emmett Johnson

PositiveBreakout6:21

The rookie Kansas City running back has impressed despite minimal usage (14 touches in two games), ranking number one in forced missed tackles. Andy Reid stated post-game, 'I think Emmitt will continue to get more snaps and that'll take a little bit off of the load off of Ken Walker the third.' The source ranks Johnson as a top-12 runner if Walker misses a game or two, with RB1 fantasy potential and 'sky high' ceiling. The fact that Kansas City is already in Week 3 saying they want to get him more touches—despite their history of taking rookies slow—signals serious upside. The source prioritizes Johnson ahead of Jonah Coleman as a league-winner add.

Insight page

George Holani

NegativeUsage30:30

George Holani played 18 snaps in Week 3 for Seattle, behind Emmanuel Wilson (29 snaps) and Jadarian Price (24 snaps), indicating a limited role in the backfield rotation.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeInjury1:12

Dobbins exited Week 2 with an injury but the source reports he is 'quote unquote good from this injury that he left the game with.' If he returns, he will reclaim the carries between the twenties and red-zone work in Sean Payton's system. However, the source notes that no running back under Sean Payton has ever hit 250 carries in a season, and Dobbins was on pace for that last year yet still finished around RB23 in points, suggesting even with a full workload, ceiling is limited in this three-back committee.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeInjury31:12

Jadarian Price exited Week 3 with a shoulder injury at 2:29 left in the third quarter after landing on his shoulder following a tackle. Coach Mike McDonald indicated it was a slight injury and not a major concern, but Price played only one snap after the injury. The source expresses concern that Emmanuel Wilson's increased workload (14 carries for 21 yards after Price's exit) could limit Price's fantasy upside, particularly in goal-line and short-yardage situations where Wilson is being favored.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveRole29:58

Jalen Coker is part of Carolina's consistent three-receiver set with Bryce Young and Tedrow McMillan. The source states that 'good things have really happened' when these three receivers play together, and emphasizes that the team's pass-heavy offensive scheme and down-field passing approach is sustainable, not a fluke.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

NegativeRole1:12

After J.K. Dobbins exited Week 2, Coleman played 25 of 62 snaps versus Tyler Bidet's 16 of 62, with Coleman dominating the meaningful work split. The source notes Coleman was drafted for this exact scenario given Dobbins' extreme injury risk, and while Dobbins may return soon, Coleman's role as the trusted grinder in the final moments (including a key 12-yard carry on 3rd-and-11 to win the game) shows he's earned Sean Payton's confidence. The source recommends spending 30–35% of FAB dollars, especially if you own Dobbins for insurance, and suggests this could be a league-winner add in the second half if injuries continue.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

NegativeBust39:30

Mitchell has 5.3 points through two weeks and is underperforming expectations; the source questions whether the original theory of Mitchell being schemed open by Mike McDaniels' play-calling holds up given the lack of production.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeBust38:59

Gainwell is rostered in 74% of leagues but has produced only 5.3 total points through two weeks; the source recommends dropping him.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveUsage6:21

Walker is averaging 31.5 opportunities per game (23.5 carries, 8 targets) through two weeks and looks like the best running back in the NFL. The source notes that even if Emmett Johnson earns more touches, reducing Walker's opportunities to 25 per game with Johnson getting 3–5 extra touches is acceptable, as the reduction would come from between-the-twenties carries (low-value work). The source drafted Walker 11th–13th overall and remains confident in his long-term value despite the emergence of Johnson.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeDepth Chart41:50

The source advises holding Kyle Pitts and other Falcons players rather than dropping them, as Michael Pennix is expected to start at quarterback this Thursday; the source believes Pennix's arrival will improve the Falcons offense, which has been among the worst in the league.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

NegativeRole16:00

Lemon has similar snap counts to Dontavian Wicks but has drawn only 5 targets for 9 total yards through two weeks, mostly at the line of scrimmage. The source notes Lemon is a great stash and hasn't lived up to potential yet, but Wicks' superior target share (10 vs. 5) and route depth suggest Wicks is the preferred receiver in the Eagles' passing game for now.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveMatchup39:47

Harrison was drafted in 90% of Yahoo leagues but has only 3.6 points through two weeks; the source attributes this partly to facing two zone-heavy defenses (Chargers and Seahawks) after showing a significant target differential between man and zone coverage last year. However, the source is critical of Harrison's overall talent, calling him an average football player and noting Michael Wilson is a better receiver; the source recommends benching him against the 49ers for the next two weeks and likely the Giants, with the Lions matchup potentially offering a better spot.

Insight page

Odell Beckham

NegativeRole22:41

Beckham (referred to as 'Flowers' in the Ravens passing attack) is the clear WR1 in Baltimore's offense and the primary target in the passing game; he was close to playing in Week 2 and is expected to return in Week 3, which would reduce Bateman's target volume and role to a secondary/handcuff status.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeBust41:07

Johnston has 4.6 points through two weeks; the source attributes this to his individual warts (dropping passes) compounded by the Chargers offense not functioning effectively, creating a double negative for his fantasy viability.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

PositiveUsage22:41

Bateman played 38 of 40 dropbacks in week 3 and posted elite counting stats: 7 catches, 88 yards, 1 touchdown. He had a 22-yard touchdown reception and is demonstrating high-volume opportunity and production consistency.

Insight page
PositiveUsage22:41

Bateman played 38 of 40 dropbacks in Week 2 with 7 catches, 88 yards, and 1 touchdown; he ran nearly every route and was the clear number two receiver behind Flowers with approximately 50% route share among other receivers. The source notes the Ravens offense is heavily focused on their WR1 (Flowers), making Bateman a short-term play dependent on Flowers' injury status, but his route volume and designed plays suggest the Ravens are committed to getting him involved.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeRole2:30

Harvey is currently shelved with an injury, but the source outlines the complex backfield dynamics: if Harvey misses time, he gets the manufactured red-zone work and all passing-down touches; if Dobbins returns, Harvey loses the red-zone role and operates as the inside-the-twenties grinder. Last year Harvey finished as RB9 in fantasy despite not being a great NFL running back, but the source doubts the three-back committee will ever give one back a six-to-eight-game stretch of full workload like Harvey had last season.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeInjury11:00

Barkley suffered a stinger on his first touch in Week 2, missed the majority of the game, returned after halftime, and exited again. The source notes he is getting an MRI and imaging to determine severity. Barkley ranks 53rd in yards before contact per attempt among 54 qualifying backs, suggesting the Eagles' offensive line struggles are limiting his effectiveness even when healthy. His status for Week 3 is uncertain.

Insight page

Tank Bigsby

NegativeRole11:00

With Saquon Barkley sidelined by a stinger in Week 2, Bigsby got 14 runs versus Will Shipley's 7 runs, establishing him as the primary ground-game back. The source notes that in the Eagles' typical run-heavy style (Week 2 was an outlier with more passing due to a close game), Bigsby should be the RB1 in the backfield. However, the Eagles' run game is struggling: Barkley ranks 53rd and Bigsby ranks 44th in yards before contact per attempt among 54 qualifying backs, a concern tied to offensive line changes (Cam Jurgens moved to left guard, new center). The source expects this to improve but not immediately in Weeks 3–4.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

PositiveBreakout13:00

Tucker transformed from WR73 in Week 1 to WR6 in Week 2 after Clint Kubiak's offense shifted to aggressive downfield play-calling. Seven of his eight targets were 9+ yards downfield, and he scored a deep post touchdown versus two-high safeties despite playing only 37 of 63 snaps (25 of 33 dropbacks). The source compares him to 2024 Rashid Shaheed on the Saints—high variance, inconsistent, but capable of 8–9 targets and 100 yards in boom weeks. The source emphasizes Tucker is the only receiver on this offense with downfield receiving capability and should be a priority add over low-ceiling, inconsistent WRs drafted later.

Insight page
PositiveValue20:06

Tucker is rostered in 29% of leagues and ranks second on the waiver wire priority list behind Adonai Mitchell. The source ranks him above Dontavian Wicks, indicating strong upside potential despite being slightly more rostered than Wicks.

Insight page
PositiveValue27:05

Trey Tucker is valued around the same waiver-wire priority mark as Denzel Washington and Adnay Mitchell for week three pickups.

Insight page

Will Shipley

NegativeRole11:00

Shipley played 24 passing snaps versus 7 runs in Week 2 when Saquon Barkley exited, establishing him as the pass-down back. The source notes this is not an Emmett Johnson situation with guaranteed volume for the RB2, but rather a split where Bigsby is favored for ground work. Shipley's role is contingent on game script and Barkley's health.

0:00The Week 3 Waiver Wire is here. I know, I know, your team didn't score enough points in Week 2.
0:06Joel Smyth and I are here to fix that.
0:08We talked through all of the, you know, surprising usage items, some names that should be available in your league and dive
0:15into some of the repeat offenders over the last couple weeks like, you know, Adnay Mitchell and Dontavian Wicks and if two
0:21games is enough of a sample not just to add them onto your roster but start them in your leagues in the next couple weeks.
0:28Plus the drop list and the deep cuts. Stay tuned for this episode of Yahoo Fantasy Football with Josh and Hayden.
0:34We turn the page to Week 3 for the Week 3 Waiver Wire.
0:38Joel Smith joins me. Oh buddy, we have a lot to discuss because injuries are hitting on almost every single team and
0:44that is leading to some players, I would say surprisingly, getting the football.
0:48First, I want to start with this. Okay, we're not going to talk about Dontayvion Wicks here or Dalton Schultz.
0:54Those guys are 51 and 57% rostered on Yahoo League.
0:57at the moment. So how we do this show is we'll talk about some players under 50% and then under about 20%
1:03in the deep cut section and we'll go through all these positions at running backs, wide receivers, so on and so forth.
1:09So Joel, let's kick things off with the Denver Broncos.
1:12Jonah Coleman, after J.K. Dobbins leaves this game, plays 25 of 62 snaps.
1:16Tyler Bidet, 16 of 62. Pass downs were 6 to 7 in favor of Bidet by one.
1:21Jonah Coleman, I think is a name that we brought up last week, Joel, but anyways, he's rostered in 20.
1:2627% of leagues out there. So what should the people do with their fab dollars?
1:31Yeah, I think it's probably one that went down the past couple of weeks just because probably drafted more than 27%, but
1:37did didn't play in week one, but now a huge role here.
1:40I'm not blowing up my fab for Coleman because Dobbins is probably gonna be back next week.
1:45Harvey, probably more short-term injury, but I still would spend a decent bit and think he is a great ad just because
1:52like this is why you drafted him because Dobbins has the extreme injury risk and Harvey's a little more uncertain.
1:57So the split here between Bidet and him, it was almost all Coleman in terms of what matters.
2:02This is a tough one for me because I can't remember what show it was with you, Joel.
2:08I mean, I record so many, I record multiple with you, but there was a moment where he was one of the
2:14players that I wish we had talked about more last week in that if someone drops him, then sometimes some of the
2:20best additions are when the players who get dropped in week one kind of fall through the cracks there.
2:26However, I'm not sure if any of these Broncos running backs are going to have like true fantasy season changing value unless
2:32two of them get injured and only one is left.
2:35And by that, I mean, that's what worked with RJ Harvey last year, right?
2:39Where he got the carries between the twenties. He got the cool manufactured stuff, you know, inside the 20 yard line that Sean Payton loves to do.
2:47And then he also got the passing down work.
2:49Now that we have three names in this backfield, Joel, that is incredibly difficult.
2:53So like, let's say RJ Harvey is shelved for a little bit, but JK Dobbins does return.
2:58And by the way, apparently he's quote unquote good from this injury that he left the game with, then he's going to get the carries between the twenties.
3:06We're not exactly sure what's going to work between the 10 and the five yard line and the goal line.
3:12And then yes, Jonah Coleman would then operate in passing situations and maybe get some of the cool red zone stuff.
3:18And then we flip that. Like what if Dobbins then misses time, which we expect him to do at some point this
3:24year, then RJ Harvey gets the cool manufactured stuff in the red zone, gets all the passing down work.
3:30And then Jonah Coleman is kind of stuck with this inside the twenties grinder and maybe some short yardage situation.
3:35So to me, I'm not sure if we're ever going to get one of those moments that we got last year in
3:42like a six, eight game stretch where RJ Harvey had the entire backfield to himself.
3:46Yeah, I get that. I think the other side of it, a couple of points would just be with Coleman a little
3:52bit more of the in-between than Dobbins is never going to catch the ball.
3:56Harvey wasn't the greatest. And the big thing for me is because the scene of Denver or the running backs is so good.
4:03Harvey last year wasn't the greatest NFL running back as we've talked about, but as a starter, he was the RB nine.
4:09So I don't think Coleman will get to the RB nine, your fantasy playoffs.
4:13But I think if he is getting 50% of the work, but still like has like maybe the Dobbins role, but with
4:20a little bit more receiving prowess, then you can be like, Oh, you can play him in your flex and see if he takes over Harvey.
4:27See if they go down to injury. See what happens there.
4:30We has a little bit of value, not RJ Harvey in fantasy playoffs, but value.
4:35I think that's a really good point. And look, everyone last year was talking about how JK Dobbins was on a career
4:41pace, you know, and was going to be the first running back.
4:44And by the way, this is one of my craziest stats out there.
4:48The no running back under Sean Payton has ever hit 250 carries in a season in his entire career coaching in the NFL.
4:55JK Dobbins was on pace to do that. And yet with all that baked in, I think he was still on pace
5:01to be like the running back 23 in points.
5:04Yeah, you know, so you have to have a little bit more than just the JK Dobbins role and you outlining potentially that here.
5:10Pajona Coleman is notable. I also thought it was notable that barely playing or not playing a single snap in week one,
5:17then he was the trusted player to be on the field, to grind it out in the final four minutes to basically win the game.
5:24He slid inbounds on that 12 yard carry on seven and 11.
5:27I mean, that that's the stuff that gets you in the good graces.
5:31And you know, the difference in that offense that we saw in week one against, you know, the chiefs versus week two against the Jaguars was notable.
5:39But this is something that we talked about last week, too, that if they have some stumbling blocks, the one change that
5:45they can make, it's not a wide receiver, it's not a tight end, it's to get Jonah Coleman, maybe a little bit more involved than as a spark.
5:53So I don't know if I have some running back issues, Joel would like 30, 35% of the fab dollars make sense here?
6:00I think so. Yeah, yeah, I would say 30 35%, especially yeah, with those running back issues.
6:05Or if you're just having if you have Dobbins, if you need more insurance on term, I think the second half of
6:11the season is where we can like look back on this and be like, man, I really wish I got Coleman.
6:17Let's talk about the rookie running back. This one plays the Kansas City Chase.
6:21His name is Emmett Johnson. There's a lot to discuss here because Emmett Johnson looks incredible.
6:26And let's say his small usage so far this season.
6:28To the point that I think he is number one in force missed tackles.
6:32The only issue here, Joel, is that he's playing behind Kenneth Walker, who looks like the best running back in the NFL at this moment.
6:40I think there's a lot of people wondering, and then he's even getting questions, Andy Reid, of, hey, does this mean Emmett Johnson has earned more work?
6:47And then what does that mean for K9? So just overall, how were you approaching Emmett Johnson last week on the waiver wire?
6:54And still right now, because he's only rostered in 27% of Yahoo.
6:57Yeah, I would be more aggressive this week, just with how these two weeks have gone.
7:02And just the other running backs in this room.
7:05I don't think this is one of you like, you don't need stats for Emmett Johnson.
7:09Just watch the game and you're like, oh my gosh, he's so fun.
7:13So with Walker, he's getting a ton of work.
7:15We know the history of Walker. I think he'll be fine.
7:19He's just getting a ton of volume. And with them saying that, like, I don't necessarily care for like Emmett Johnson's role right now.
7:26Them saying like them being like, yes, he has earned more.
7:29We want to maybe give him a little bit more work and take a little bit off of Walker's plate.
7:34That doesn't worry me for Walker. It doesn't like hype me up to use Johnson now.
7:39But what it does mean to me is, oh, if Walker misses a game or two, Johnson is like a top 20 auto starts or 12 one fantasy.
7:47Yeah. With RV one fantasy potential, like the ceiling is high hot, like sky high.
7:51They cut Amari Di Mercado, which early in camp, it was like Di Mercado's above Johnson.
7:56They take their rookies slow in Kansas city, even their stars like Rasheed Rice, Tyree kill.
8:01So the fact that he's already week three and they're like, yeah, we need to get him more touches.
8:06That says a lot to me. Yeah. This one might not pay off in week three.
8:11Heck it might not even pay off in week 13, but Emmitt Johnson, and we've only seen him touch the football 14
8:17times in his NFL career so far, but it is so evident that he has a juice that he has a tackle
8:23breaking ability that I will say if K nine misses a game or two or three, that Emmitt Johnson for me would
8:29be ranked as a top 12 runner in the NFL.
8:32I do want to point you to, cause Andy Reed was asked about this after last night's game.
8:38He said, quote, I think Emmitt will continue to get more snaps and that'll take a little bit off of the load
8:44off of Ken Walker, the third, but he wants that ball.
8:47Kenny does. He wants the ball every time and he's not asking to be relieved or anything else, but I think as
8:53it goes on, you get a nice balance with those two in there and then it keeps them even more fresh as the season goes on.
9:01So on paper, Joel, I drafted a ton of Kenneth Walker, the third, that might frighten me, but then you look at the actual numbers.
9:08He's averaging 31 and a half opportunities per game right now, 23 and a half carries eight targets.
9:13I would gladly take 25 opportunities per game from here on out.
9:17And if that gives an extra three, four or five touches to Emmitt Johnson per game, that is totally fine.
9:22Yeah. It's something that doesn't really matter to me at all when I'm talking in like value long-term and trades or anything
9:29like that, especially usually when players like lose touches, do backup running backs to keep them fresh.
9:33It's just the between the 20 carries. So it's not like super valuable.
9:37So would you be even more aggressive if you drafted Ken Walker at the one, two turn to get Emmitt Johnson?
9:43Or is this one of the players that no matter who was on your roster, you want to add Emmitt Johnson here?
9:50I want to add him no matter what. I think the answer would be more aggressive if you have Ken Walker, because
9:56right now Walker was drafted where he was later second instead of earlier because of the injuries.
10:01Like that was really the only like big concern.
10:03So now when you have like such an answer and Emmitt Johnson, that we didn't really have pre-draft, I would be aggressive
10:10if I have Walker just to get that insurance.
10:12Yeah. I know a lot of people who watch this channel ended up with K9.
10:16I mean, I think, I think Hayden had him 11th overall and I did him 13th overall when, when draft season ended.
10:23Um, I think I would even prioritize Emmitt Johnson ahead of Jonah Coleman.
10:27As crazy as that sounds, Joe, what would you say?
10:29If I had Walker, I think so. Yeah. Yeah.
10:32I think they're close. I think I would favor Coleman just on a regular team, but they're close.
10:37It's, it's more, I Coleman probably brings a bit more independent value, but then I could see Emmitt Johnson being a true
10:43league winner if he gets the opportunity to do that.
10:46And that's the kind of difference you have to weigh here with the waivers.
10:50Okay. Let's talk about another back up duo. We had to go to Philadelphia.
10:54Sadly, the other player that I drafted constantly in the one, two turns, Saquon Barkley got banged up with a stinger on his first touch.
11:02He missed the majority of the game, came back after halftime and then exited once again.
11:06That led us to Tank Bigsby who's rostered in 29% of leagues out there and Will Shipley getting opportunities.
11:12So Shipley was out there for 24 passing snaps versus seven runs.
11:15Tank Bigsby was out there for 14 runs in seven pass attempts.
11:18Joel is the most important piece of this information is we saw what the backfield split would be once Saquon went down and what would happen moving forward.
11:26Yes, I'd say so. And just, it was very clear what they did where Bigsby was got on the ground.
11:32Shipley was the guy in the air. And as we all predicted, it was a neck and neck game between the Eagles and Titans.
11:39So there was a lot of passing actually compared to what the Eagles usually try to do.
11:44So the box score, it kind of looks like more of a split, but if it's the Eagles usual game with their
11:50defense, with their run heavy style, it should be Bigsby as that RB one, the carries were 13 to seven, but that
11:57was with Shipley getting the third down work. He had a ton more routes than Bigsby.
12:01So this isn't like an Emma Johnson situation where it's guaranteed volume for the RB two, but more of a split where I'd favor Bigsby.
12:08The biggest frustration of this is the Eagles can't freaking run the football right now.
12:13Like if yards before contact is not a perfect metric, but it does a decent job.
12:17Okay. And if you look at of the 54 qualifying running backs out there for the first two weeks, Saquon Barkley ranks
12:2453rd and Tank Bigsby now ranks 44th in yards before contact per attempt.
12:27That is not good. And you know, that's moving off of Lander Dickerson after week one, and then now moving Cam Juergens
12:34to left guard and having a new center. And sure, they faced off against, you know, some formidable defense tackles and Jeffrey Simmons in week two.
12:41But I think that's the big concern here. I was anticipating Eagles offense to get back to gelling and creating lanes.
12:47And maybe that does happen in the future, but it doesn't seem like Jolo that's like a turn the page to week three and week four.
12:55And we named it down. And by the way, we don't even know if Saquon Barkley is going to miss.
13:00He has a stinger. He's getting an MRI. Some imaging and we'll find out more.
13:05I think these next couple of days, let's jump to wide receivers.
13:08There's a bunch of names to hit on here.
13:11The first one is Trey Tucker of the Las Vegas Raiders rostered in 29% of leagues out there had gains of 42,
13:1740, 50, 15, and 13 in this game. What'd you see from Trey Tucker?
13:21What do you think people should do with Trey Tucker on the waiver war?
13:25It's all positive comparing to week one, same as some other guys have talked about.
13:29I bet he was dropped in lots of leagues.
13:32So I think he can have some value Kubiak.
13:34We know that how explosive this passing offense can be in the deep passing game.
13:39They didn't have that in week one. He comes out week two.
13:42We need to do that. And they did, even though I saw your clip on Twitter, like Kirk Cousins using all of
13:48his might to get it 40 yards downfield, but it worked and he got it.
13:53So I think my comparison in fantasy in real life would just be 2024 Rashid Shahid on the Saints.
13:58Yeah, perfect. We're wanting deep gut. It's not going to be consistent, but he'll have weeks where he has eight or nine
14:05targets and a hundred yards and it can work on a fill in basis.
14:09Joel loved doing the show with you. We're on the same page here.
14:12Like Clint Kubiak has been an aggressive downfield play caller in every stop that he's had.
14:17And it's not like ahead of those stops that the New Orleans Saints or the Seattle Seahawks were viewed as those explosive passing teams.
14:24And now in week one, obviously when they demolish their opponents, they didn't throw down the field.
14:29Right. Obviously then Clint Kubiak went and told reporters, Hey, we need the only way to do that is if we actually
14:35throw the ball, you know, and we actually heave it.
14:38And as you said, Kirk Cousins did that to the tune that Trey Tucker transformed from wide receiver 73 in week one,
14:44as you said, people might drop him up to wide receiver six this past week.
14:48So I think this can continue a little bit.
14:51It's going to be high variance for sure. And there's heat comparison is there, but there is no one else on this
14:57offense that can fulfill that type of downfield passing capability and receiving ability like Trey Tucker.
15:02You know, it's not Chris Olave is opposite him or Rashid Jaheed on the Seattle Seahawks.
15:07And so if that's the case with Kirk and then future with Fernando Mendoza, they're going to throw it on the field.
15:13So I really do believe that Trey Tucker should be a priority add for a lot of you out there compared to
15:19a lot of the, Hey, low ceiling and even inconsistent on top of that wide receivers that you might've drafted.
15:25Yeah. And I think there is a decent gap between him and Jalen Naylor too from week one, the first couple of weeks.
15:31Yeah. I mean, seven of his eight targets were nine plus yards down the field, deep post touchdown versus two high safeties.
15:38He only played, I think 37 of 63 snaps, but most importantly, it was 25 of 33 dropbacks.
15:43So again, we're going to have these weeks where he scores as the wide receiver 50.
15:48We're also going to have some other weeks where he scores as the wide receiver 20.
15:52Guess what? That happens with every person. That's the wide receiver.
15:55I don't know, 29 and beyond in, in fancy football right now.
15:59Yeah. Don Tavon Wicks is next. A name we talked about last week with the Philadelphia Eagles.
16:04He's opened the season as wide receiver 15 and wide receiver 26.
16:07He's still rostered in only 28% of Yahoo leagues out there.
16:10Joel is two games, enough of a sample to say, Hey, this is real.
16:14Let's buy in. It's a solid sample. I will say I, if you told me that Makai lemon was having a higher
16:21route share than Don Tavon Wicks, I would never think about picking Wicks up because that was like the concern with lemon.
16:27So lemon hasn't lived up to potential yet. I think he's a great stash as well.
16:31Keep him on your rosters, but with Don Tavon Wicks still 73% route share, they might have to throw a little bit
16:38more like they did in week two because of this run game that you pointed out.
16:42And it's just a really good offense when they are throwing a lot of times when the Eagles receivers aren't good, it's
16:49because they throw 20 to 25 times in a game and they don't hit that.
16:53But I would say like his week two, five for 74 is a lot better for the future looking than like his
16:59two catch touchdown game in week one. So week two made me more confident.
17:03Yeah, I totally understand not starting Don Tavon Wicks in week one.
17:07We didn't know what to expect at all. I think on the show and then obviously on other episodes that we do
17:13throughout the week, mentioning the Tennessee Titans with his team favored and expected to score around 24 points.
17:18Yeah, you could fit them in there in your flex.
17:21And then Joel, they face the Chicago bears and that secondary here in, in week three.
17:26Like if you have brought Dontavian Wicks onto your team already and you have some questions via injury or underperformers again, I
17:32think Wicks is a totally fine flex play here in, in week three, over 70 yards in both games.
17:37Uh, obviously at a touchdown in week one, but as you said, he's basically playing the same amount of snaps as Makai
17:44Lemon, albeit a couple less here, but Wicks has drawn 10 targets.
17:47Makai Lemon has drawn five targets. Wicks has 147 yards and a touchdown.
17:51Makai Lemon only has nine total yards and we're getting these corner routes.
17:55We're getting some in breakers. He's living kind of in that intermediate section.
17:58Meanwhile, Makai stuff kind of seems closer to the line of scrimmage.
18:02So I really like what I see out of this and I'm starting to buy in even more to this post hype sleeper season.
18:09Um, and maybe it's only the first half, but Joel, let's ride this thing for, you know, while we have it and
18:15for how much Wicks is playing in an offense that has to be passed first.
18:19Now, uh, I think he's a totally fine player.
18:22Yeah. And not to mention like Makai, he has five targets.
18:25Most of those are right at the line of scrimmage as we know.
18:29I think, you know, which players are about to have a big Sunday, put that fancy football knowledge to work.
18:34Yes. We have teamed up with draft Kings to give you another way to build around your takes with draft Kings, daily fantasy sports.

19:15Adonai Mitchell is another one. He's open as wide receiver 38 and wide receiver 28 on the season.
19:20That's notable to me because he hasn't even scored a touchdown yet.
19:2312 targets this past week, six catches for 63 yards.
19:26So he has at least again, some consistency of 60 yards in both games to open the season.
19:31He's almost an every snap player, 41 of 50 dropbacks.
19:34I never quit him. And Joel, I'm excited that we're going to talk about him again.
19:39Yeah, I think a lot of people are going to be talking about him over this next month.
19:44Like you said, he's playing a lot. I think Gino is a really good fit for him.
19:49Obviously we talked about Gino loves Adonai Mitchell, but with the offensive line, not get, I know the defense has been great,
19:55but Geno hasn't been under pressure a lot. So if they can keep that up, Geno has been the fifth lowest pressure
20:01rated quarterback in week one and two, then Adonai Mitchell, that's when he gets his downfield targets to get 150 air yards this week.
20:08So I think that's when there's 12 targets become a lot more valuable because you can get them 12 targets because you
20:15have the time to throw those downfield shots. He's not getting these little quick targets.
20:19So the fact that they can protect Gino is huge.
20:22A hundred percent. He had a couple of drops in the weather and this was bad weather against the Packers.
20:28He also did draw a 34 yard defensive pass interference down the field that obviously is not accounted for in a stats again, no touchdowns.
20:35So we're getting some level of stability, a floor with the 60 yards in back-to-back games.
20:39And I want to point you to the schedule, Joel Adonai Mitchell gets the lions, the bears and the Browns defenses over
20:46the next three weeks, then a rough one against the Patriots.
20:49But then we're back with the Miami dolphins right after that.
20:52So I'm going to ask you, Adonai Mitchell only rostered in 16%.
20:55Dontavian Wicks, 28%, Trey Tucker, 29%. Rank those in order.
20:58You can have a moment if you need to, but rank them the order of priority of as you would add them on the waiver wire this week.
21:06I think Wicks would be third still, especially with Lemon there and just that offense, maybe nicer in the short term.
21:12And with Goddard being injured right now, the top two are tough.
21:16Tough. I think, I think Mitchell's my number one.
21:18I love it. And then Tucker. Yeah. I think Mitchell might be more consistent, which is so weird to say given his
21:25history, but I think he has the potential of being a more consistent guy week to week.
21:29I totally agree with you. I will put Adonai Mitchell first in the list.
21:34I feel the jets are locked into him as a two wide receiver set starter.
21:38And then they'll, you know, move around Isaiah Williams and Kenan Sadiq and whatever the slot player is.
21:43And so they're going to live with kind of the ups and downs of that.
21:47And I mentioned, heck they did in this past game.
21:50And Joel, the reason why he hasn't had a single game yet above the peak of Wicks or above the peak of
21:56Trey Tucker is only because he hasn't scored a touchdown yet.
22:00And so once he adds a touchdown onto this, heck maybe that gave me those 30 yards, but then you add another six points onto it.
22:07So yes, baking in the schedule, baking in the offensive line point that you made that that gives them some level of
22:13stability and protection and a platform to have success.
22:16Adonai Mitchell would still be the number one wide receiver ad for me this week too.
22:21I would go as far as like 15, 20, 25%.
22:23Hold on to a good portion of that. I would hopefully try to run that 15%, but at worst, I think he
22:30could be your wide receiver five moving forward. Yeah.
22:32And final point, they haven't really been in passive game scripts.
22:35So he's doing this in close games are winning.
22:38Love that. Let's talk Rashad Bateman because he had a huge week.
22:41Um, 38 of 40 dropbacks he played. And I mean, the, the counting stats were, were absolutely incredible.
22:47I'm sure producer Weaves is throwing them on the screen right now as I pull them up on top of it.
22:53Seven catches, 88 yards, one touchdown. The route that he had 22 yard touchdown was a beauty.
22:58He gave the defensive back a head nod to the outside, cut it back inside, all that type of stuff.
23:03So what are we saying? Is Rashad Bateman here to stay?
23:06Like we've seen about these other post-site sleepers or are you kind of aware that this might be some fool's gold?
23:12I don't think it's fool's gold as long as flowers is out when flower.
23:16I think it's a good sign for flowers with just like how this offense is moving in this passing attack.
23:22But the reason I say that as long as flowers is out is he is the clear number one that they trust in this passing game.
23:30I would say when we're looking at the other receivers, the next closest was right at like a 50% route share.
23:36And you brought up how like Bateman was getting almost every single route.
23:39They talked all week about how they're going to use them in this game and get a lot of plays designed for them.
23:46And we saw that and worked out really well.
23:49I trust this passing attack just with Lamar in this new offense.
23:52Totally. This team is very focused on their wide receiver one, as we have seen with say flowers.
23:57And then the wide receiver two is a bit of an afterthought.
24:01That's the role Bateman has been in. That's, you know, Jacoby Lane getting some targets when he was mixing in there.
24:07So I agree with what you're saying. We're at best.
24:10This is a short term ad. It sounds like say flowers.
24:13It was close to playing this past week and hopefully can play again in week three.
24:17And if that's the case, then, you know, Bateman is almost a wide receiver handcuff, but I mean, he looked good.
24:23Maybe this is one of those cases that this, you know, leads them to somehow some way incorporating a second wide receiver
24:30a bit more, but it's not like he doesn't have a history with Lamar Jackson.
24:34He absolutely does. So to me, that's more of an outline of the offense that there's one figurehead at wide receiver.
24:40And then like the tertiary pieces just have zero consistency on a weekly basis.
24:44Yeah. And I think at worst, you can have them in weeks when this is projected to be a really high scoring
24:50offense and like a 50 point game total. I think you can work there with flowers still, if you can just get
24:57them like six targets in this offense, six targets can be really good.
25:00Sometimes let's talk Denzel Boston, the rookie wide receiver of the Cleveland Browns.
25:04He has opened as the wide receiver 19 and the wide receiver 10 in back-to-back weeks.
25:09The problem, absolutely none of you started him in either of those matchups.
25:12I mean, it makes sense. He plays for the Browns.
25:15They've been underdogs, all that type of stuff. So where are you at with Denzel Boston?
25:20Do we already like miss the two best games that we might have?
25:24Or is this a rookie who's already starting hot and can continue something close to that moving pool?
25:29I think my answer is we've missed the two best games for now.
25:32I would not expect this in week three, probably not a week four or five, but I think down the line, if
25:39there is like this rookie breakout in Cleveland, it has a really big season.
25:43It looks like it's going to be him. He's running a lot more routes than Casey.
25:47And I think Casey is fine for PPR leagues and has that potential too.
25:51But with these two blow up games, both of them came on like those really big touchdowns.
25:56Yes. Like White Hart has a touchdown. No one else does for the Browns.
26:00So just like that one other receiving touchdown. So he's gotten both of them there.
26:05But I think it's one of those where it's like, oh, I'm not chasing the touchdowns or chasing the points.
26:10It's just like, oh, it's a good sign that he's playing a ton and looks good.
26:15Maybe down the line that can turn into something more consistent.
26:18He's out there all the time. And so sometimes in garbage situations, as we saw in week one, that can lead to
26:24a 46 yard touchdown with two minutes left when you're down 34 to three on the scoreboard.
26:29Now this past week was all real to me, you know, seven targets, five receptions, 95 yards and a score.
26:35They obviously beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He nearly had a second touchdown, but he couldn't hold onto it.
26:40Secure it, get that second foot in bounds. He's winning.
26:43And this is the most important thing to me.
26:46He's winning exactly like he did at Washington in terms of creating that sliver of separation on the tight window targets.
26:52And he has the defenders bouncing off of him after contact.
26:55I mean, the long catch run this past week was like freaking sick, man.
26:59Now who knows that Deshaun Watson has now bought himself an extra week and he's the quarterback against the Carolina Panthers in week three.
27:06Who knows what Shador Sanders looks like when he plays quarterback, but Denzel Boston, the talent should be rostered in at least
27:1250% of Yahoo leagues, if not higher Joel. So the only thing that's keeping him down at this percentage at 32% is
27:19the environment and who he's playing around. And if that's the case, then he's definitely worth an ad to me and right
27:25around the same mark as I would put with Trey Tucker and Adnay Mitchell.
27:29Yeah. I think he can hit like Fannin did in the second half, especially Ben, it was good like all year, but
27:35that was like a lot of that was with Sanders.
27:38I think if Sanders can get in here, they can drop back 40 times a game and just have a lot of those completions.
27:45I think Boston can really break out in the second half there.
27:48Let's quickly talk quarterbacks because we've had quarterback injuries to, you know, Jane Daniels.
27:52We've had some underperformers like Drake may. There's a lot to discuss here.
27:56Uh, the two quarterbacks that I did want to bring up Bryce young roster in 33% of leaks and Tyler Shuck at 48%.
28:03Both play in the NFC South. Both are top three in passing yards out there and both might be, you know, surprising
28:09names as fancy scores through the opening two weeks of the season.
28:13Do you have a preference here? Do you want to talk about either?
28:16I would, my preference would be Shuck just with the volume with his offense.
28:20They are number one in pace this year. They're number one last year.
28:24We've talked about the volume. That's what's most important for me looking at quarterback, especially waiver quarterbacks.
28:29It's like, all right, who's just getting a ton of volume.
28:32I don't think that's going to go away at the same time.
28:35Bryce does have really good volume, at least through these first two weeks, their password of our expected is second highest to
28:42only Dallas, which we expect that from Dallas. We wouldn't totally expect that from Carolina.
28:46So they've just gone super pass heavy and their defense probably can help Bryce young in fantasy some weeks along the, on the long way.
28:53And they helped them this week by creating turnovers and, and, you know, getting short fields and all that type of stuff.
29:00We are actually talking about the quarterback two and the quarterback five and fancy football at this moment.
29:05I mean, that, that is pretty amazing looking at the quarterback six through 11 this past weekend.
29:10I think that's why many of you are feeling as if the, you know, fancy scoring demons hit your lineups this week.
29:16I will put a point in Bryce Young's favor for this.
29:19Their schedule over the last two weeks can kind of mirror the schedule of the first two weeks.
29:24You know, when they scored 37 and 34 points against the Browns and the Falcons, excuse me, the bears and the Falcons
29:31because they get the Browns and the lions over the next two weeks.
29:34So Bryce is, I think a short-term look that if you pick them up, you need to have it in mind that
29:41you'll probably start him over the next two weeks.
29:43It gets a bit more difficult after that with like Eagles and the Broncos and the saints and the Bravens and all this type of stuff.
29:51But I buy into this team passing the football a lot more.
29:54I've spoken at length about it, so I won't do it again.
29:58And especially down the field passing and for as many games as we've had Bryce, Tedrow McMillan and Jalen Coker together.
30:04Good things that really happened. So I don't think this is a fluke necessarily, and especially not a fluke against these weaker defenses.
30:10And they have another two week defenses coming up.
30:13Yeah. I think that is the part to take advantage of.
30:16I feel less confident against those like top defenses to play Bryce, especially right now, but I guess those weaker defenses.
30:22He's been great. Okay. Let's talk some deep cuts on 1% of Yahoo leagues out there.
30:27Emmanuel Wilson is on a roster. He now plays with Seattle Seahawks.
30:30Hopefully you all know that he did play 29 snaps in this game compared to 24 for Jadarian price and then 18 for George Holani.
30:37And I wanted to bring this name up. Obviously I drafted a lot of Jadarian price this year.
30:42Joel, if you just look at the box score, Emmanuel Wilson, 21 carries 92 yards.
30:47Jadarian price, 13 carries 52 yards. What does that say to you?
30:50With the injury, I'm not too worried about the price leaving early.
30:53So I think it's still going to be Wilson as just a short yardage in the way of price, like turning into greatness and fantasy.
31:01That's like the main concern for me is there is just like the very similar role that we have with Kenneth Walker last year.
31:08The red zone carries were four to three. A lot of that was just if they were first and five, like first
31:14and five from the goal line, it could be Jadarian price.
31:17But then once they got like two or three yards away and we just need a hammer, that's when they would go with Emmanuel Wilson.
31:24So I kind of set you up that question and you nailed it.
31:28All right. Because I had the same read about Jadarian price exiting with the shoulder issue.
31:32His last touch was at 229 left in the third quarter.
31:36He landed on his shoulder after a tackle. Mike McDonald said so far, it's just a slight injury, not that big of an issue.
31:43Um, he only played one snap after that, but from then on, Emmanuel Wilson had 14 carries for 21 yards.
31:48And so that's why the box score might lie to us a little bit with this.
31:53And hopefully this kind of doesn't continue in, in that direction.
31:56But I am of the opinion that Jadarian price still looks like the best running back in this group.
32:01However, Joel, his box score would have looked a lot better if he got, I don't know, 10 of those 14 carries in the fourth quarter.
32:09And we'd be thinking about him, I think very differently heading into week three.
32:13Yeah, I agree too. I think his role has potential to grow where walkers it was, Oh, maybe next week the role will be there.
32:20Oh, this is a good sign. This is a good sign.
32:23It just kept being good signs until Charbonnet is back.
32:26I think there is like a legit chance that his role can continue to grow.
32:30Let's talk Khalif Raymond, 9% on rosters on Yahoo leagues.
32:33We talked about him last week. And again, he ran the same number of routes as Luther Burton.
32:38He has posted wide receiver 21 and wide receiver 44 scoring so far, another five for 40 on his plate in week two.
32:45Anything you want to add onto what we said about Raymond last week, he played a lot more of the two receiver
32:51sets than burden looking at week one, it kind of flipped.
32:55So Duns, they was out there a lot more too.
32:57So that's part of it as well, but it was a lot of Raymond and Duns.
33:02And those two receiver sets was really important for the bears because they run so much with combat and level in both
33:08on the field and those two tight ends. It's interesting.
33:11I think a lot of his production is due to who they have played in these opening two weeks, like for the
33:17Panthers, their best part of their defense or their outside corners.
33:21And so him working underneath over the middle makes sense, especially in zone.
33:24And then against the Minnesota Vikings, they muddy everything up in all the gaps and they play deep coverage in the back.
33:31And then if Caleb was smooch or didn't know where to go with the football, he was the easy access player over middle of the field.
33:38So Khalif Raymond is like the lowest of the ceiling players.
33:41It is fascinating to me how he is pulling snaps away from other players on the team.
33:46And maybe that's the most notable takeaway to me versus, Hey, we need to add him because he is perfectly fine and
33:52has a history with Ben Johnson that I wonder how long that lasts for.
33:57Antonio Williams, rookie wide receiver for the commanders. We talked about it.
34:00He scored as the wide receiver 14 on 12 routes in week one, then the wide receiver 70 on 26 routes in week two.
34:07So Joel, we got fewer fancy points, but a bump in usage.
34:10So what does that do to you? I'd be more excited if it wasn't for the Jane Daniels injury.
34:16I'm really worried about Daniels and it's like the length I'm guessing it's going to be long-term.
34:21So with Mario coming in, they went really have run heavy last season with Mario when he was in there and you add in digs.
34:28I don't think there is much of a reason to have them in redraft.
34:32If Daniels is out that whole time, but you're happy in dynasty.
34:35You got it. And if you're rebuilding, if Daniels is out for the season or out for a really long time, I
34:42think he's like a good buy for a rebuild team in dynasty.
34:45So there's been a lot of positive. I'll go some rapid fire here.
34:49Ted Hurst is playing a whole bunch of snaps as a rookie wide receiver for the bucks 29 of 44 dropbacks.
34:55That's the wide receiver three. The scene lives out of 11 personnel.
34:58I will say a lot of his routes are just wind sprints.
35:02They're clear outs for egg Buka and Chris Godwin.
35:04Um, although when they did return from the weather delay down for with 51 seconds, they open with three straight targets in his direction.
35:11They're all a bit too difficult. He's like this really, really narrow margin of victory, uh, to like sideline grabs, tight window, all this type of stuff.
35:19But I'm not sure if this is really going to grow into, let's say a valuable baseline target earner type player that
35:25we can depend on in fancy football. Yeah. Yes.
35:2810 targets this year and a 20 yard, a dot.
35:31So kind of like, you know, Alec Pierce's at the world.
35:34So it can work. There's a chance I would watch out for Jalen McMillan though.
35:38Yes. And Baker needs to be on fire. I think for someone like Ted Hurst to like be a good asset for us.
35:45Yeah. Quickly DJ Moore exited. We know on Thursday night football, he is considered a day to day with an AC joint spring.
35:51It looked a lot worse on the field. Josh Palmer, Keon Coleman are like 2% rostered out there.
35:56Uh, basically if DJ Moore comes back and if he plays Joel, these guys aren't worth your time.
36:02Yes. Yeah. If I had to choose one, I would choose Coleman.
36:05Okay. Laquan Treadwell. I actually do want to bring up his name because Alec Pierce went down very quickly.
36:10And once Alec Pierce went down, Laquan Treadwell played 27 of 35 dropbacks.
36:14That was basically more than Keenan Allen. They don't want Keenan Allen to be out there in two wide receiver sets as
36:21an outside wide receiver for this team. And Keenan Allen is probably going to be suspended for a handful of games.
36:27So Joel, in the year of 2026, Laquan Treadwell really might be in our lives as a heavy, heavy snap count player.
36:33And just because of that, and because of how often the Colts throw the ball, he's going to get targets in this offense.
36:39Yeah. I think unless it's a really deep league, I think I'll pass.
36:43I think he might be in an 11 year bet.
36:46Now I am rooting for him. So last night I was like, my, the empathy came out when he fumbled.
36:52Oh my gosh. I was going to feel so bad.
36:55I was going to feel so bad. So like, thank God he didn't fumble, but I'll pass him on fantasy.
37:00It does give me a lot of hope for Josh Downs though.
37:04So Josh Downs, Tyler Warren a little bump, but I'll pass on Treadwell.
37:08Tight ends, Darren Waller, 3% of Yahoo leagues. He's playing on 22 of 40 dropbacks just quickly on him.
37:13He's an asset for this team in the red zone.
37:16He should have had a touchdown in week one that was cleared and ruled out by a bogus OPI.
37:21Then he had two in week two. What they do is they put T-Mac and Jalen Coker on one side of the
37:28field and then Darren Waller on the other and make the defense read and cover the full field.
37:33And that's just tough to do. Like, Hey, you're going to account for these two wide receivers, or are you going to
37:39get isolated coverage for Darren Waller as he's winning in man coverage on the other side?
37:44So that's a big asset in your tight end premium leagues.
37:47And then I'll even bring up Joel Aranda Gadsden.
37:49Charlie Kohler played 42 snaps. Then he exited with an arm injury.
37:53David and Joku played 11 snaps. He would cart it off with, I believe a knee injury.
37:58So then Aranda Gadsden, who was buried on the depth chart because he can't block popped up for 18 routes, which would
38:04be 15 routes on 31 dropbacks and had a touchdown on top of it.
38:08So again, the blocking has been a major issue in all facets for the Chargers.
38:12Aranda Gadsden is still an awful blocker, but at some point they also need someone who can catch the football and Gadsden can do that.
38:20Yeah. And he had multiple games last week or last year that were really good.
38:24So I think with, especially lad banked up a little bit, I think Gadsden can have a real role here as a receiving tight end.
38:31The Chargers are an absolute mess. Okay. Here's your drop list quickly.
38:34And I'm not saying go out and definitely drop some of these players.
38:38However, way in your head, the positivity we said for some versus the lack of importance.
38:43And if these players even exist in your fantasy mind, when you're debating, if you should start them in your lineup or
38:49not like, Hey, would you rather have the guy that we hyped up and we talked about, would you be more amped
38:55to start them versus these, you know, just terrible, terrible picks that you made?
38:59Okay. The first is Kenny Gainwell, 74% of leagues he's rostered in.
39:03He has 5.3 total points so far. Get rid of him.
39:06Chris Rodriguez. He's at 3.6 through two weeks, Joel.
39:09I know you've looked into this. The facial toot and stuff has been fantastic in the first two weeks, despite a difficult matchup in week two.
39:16And most notably toot is the one that got the wildcat carry inside the five yard line and Chris Rodriguez was sideline.
39:22Yeah. The split grew actually a lot. The touches were basically the same, but toot and put a lot more snaps this week than he did last week.
39:30Keaton Mitchell has 5.3 points through two weeks. He's kind of just a bit light to me.
39:35And if really Mike McDaniels not really working as a play caller, then the theory of the play of Keaton Mitchell, just
39:42being kind of this undeniably fast player that is schemed open all these touches that also doesn't work either.
39:47Um, Marvin Harrison Jr. was drafted in 90% of Yahoo leagues out there and he has 3.8 points through two weeks.
39:53Joel, what are you doing? It's tough. I think he's still worth a bench spot and you got to like hope for
39:59something, but they have played two teams that have played against a top or play a ton of zone coverage.
40:05So if you want like an excuse, like there's your excuse.
40:08Marv had one of the biggest differences last year in targets versus man versus zone and chargers Seattle just played a ton of zone at best.
40:16Marvin Harrison Jr. is an average football player. I think Michael Wilson's a better wide receiver.
40:20We know that Trey McBride is one of, if not the best tight end in football, you are not playing Marvin Harrison Jr.
40:27on your team against the 49ers the next two weeks and probably not the giants either, to be honest after that though, it is the lions.
40:34So you have to pick your spot. If you want Marvin Harrison Jr.
40:38to be in our lineup. And again, compare that to what we talked about the consistency of Adonai Mitchell or whoever else.
40:44So weigh that in your mind with this Courtland Sutton.
40:47This is a player who's getting squeezed in two directions in that you have Jalen Waddle as the big play primary pass catcher, Joel.
40:54And then you also have Pat Bryant who they're manufacturing touches for and is kind of the younger version of this.
41:00So his 6.1 points, despite being drafted in 83% of leagues, I don't know what Courtland Sutton would do for me.
41:06Yeah. Like wide receiver handcuffed in a way. And it's just hard to ever predict when he's going to have a good week.
41:13He's going to have good weeks. I just have no idea when it's going to be.
41:17Yeah. He's like really turned into, I think a touchdown or bust player because he's just not going to get as much
41:24volume as he did over the last couple of seasons.
41:27QJ only has 4.6 points. That's a QJ problem.
41:29He's just dropping passes out there. And again, if the Chargers offense doesn't work, then QJ has enough individual warts to him
41:35that he's also not going to work. And then I do want to bring up Drake May.
41:40I would drop to Drake May. I would not drop him, but Joel, I would look for alternatives.
41:46Like we talked about Bryshon, we talked about Tyler Shuck.
41:48Um, the might be slim pickings out there, but Drake May is getting to a point that he's not on fire like he was last year.
41:56And we were hoping that the AJ Brown addition would kind of take this passing offense to the next level and him
42:02being on injury reserve for at least the next three games doesn't leave me for a lot of hope for Drake.
42:08Yeah. The digs absence now like means something now that they don't have AJ Brown.
42:13So the weapons aren't there. I think he can get there rushing fine and with his offense fine, but he is more
42:19of a matchup dependent play, which is not really what you want for.
42:23I think he was drafted third or fourth among quarterback.
42:25Yes. I mean, he gets the Jaguars and the bills over the next two weeks.
42:30So it's again, not one of these players that you just set it and forget it at quarterback.
42:35I kind of think you need to weigh some of your options.
42:38Uh, if the matchup makes sense. And then finally I would hold off on dropping any Atlanta Falcons out there.
42:44I know a lot of you just want to flat out drop Kyle Pitts.
42:48He'd be most likely for me. Obviously you're not moving Drake London.
42:52No one wants him or be John Robinson, but it sounds like Michael Pennix is going to start this Thursday and Joel
42:58it's, you know, a big deal when we think it's a big deal that Michael Pennix is going to make this offense even better.
43:05Yeah. I've been a dead horse on the difference between Pennix and these other quarterbacks for so many reasons.
43:10He's not the greatest quarterback in the world. But for London, he is perfect.
43:14He's perfect. Yes. Like London. All right. That does it for us.
43:18We just need that Falcons offense to be like, not the worst, just be below average.
43:22And some of these guys, like two of them can get there on a weekly basis.
43:27Uh, Joel, thank you. You can follow all of Joel's work, social media, all of it will link in the description down below.
43:33And as always leave a thumbs up, subscribe to the podcast, subscribe to the channel.
