Player insights

43

A.J. Brown

PositiveUsage23:34

AJ Brown is the WR10. He is expected to be featured heavily in the new offense, similar to how Davante Adams was featured by Josh McDaniels in previous seasons. Brown is healthy and entering the season in a good place, making him a strong play despite a potentially tough matchup against Devin Witherspoon.

Insight page

Alec Pierce

PositiveValue89:00

Alec Pierce is undervalued by the market, as he is the primary field stretcher for the Colts. If fully healthy, he has the potential to repeat his success from last year, where he finished as a productive fantasy receiver.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveUsage7:10

Amon-Ra St. Brown is the WR3 for Week 1 against the Saints. He thrives in games without David Montgomery; in a 10-game sample where Montgomery missed or had limited carries, St. Brown averaged 20.9 PPR points, 8.4 receptions, and 103 yards per game. The game is expected to be high-scoring with significant pace from both teams.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeMatchup83:38

Brian Thomas Jr. faces a difficult matchup against Denzel Ward. Furthermore, concerns about the Browns' offense struggling to move the ball against Jacksonville's defense could limit the total number of pass attempts available for Thomas.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

PositiveMatchup17:43

CeeDee Lamb is the WR7. He faces a Giants secondary that is considered poor, with the Cowboys projected for a high point total. Lamb remains a consistent elite producer, and the team's tendency to leave corners on islands against the Cowboys' passing attack provides significant upside.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

NegativeProjection57:07

Chris Godwin experienced a significant performance decline last year, ranking in the bottom six percentile against zone coverage and bottom 16th percentile against man coverage per Reception Perception. While he may benefit from a full offseason and a potential shootout against the Bengals, Rashi Rice believes rookie Jalen McMillan is currently the superior player.

Insight page
NegativeBust93:34

Chris Godwin is viewed as a potential bust candidate following a significant decline in efficiency against both zone and man coverage last year. His ranking is lower than consensus due to these performance concerns.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveProjection13:43

Chris Olave is the WR5, ranked ahead of consensus. He is projected for 10.5 targets, the second-most in the league for Week 1. He showed WR1-level production after Week 10 last year, averaging 9.9 targets and 86 yards per game. The Lions' secondary is the oldest in the league and lacks the speed to match Olave.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveRole37:08

Christian Watson is expected to be a full-time player in the Packers' offense with no rotation in the wide receiver corps. He is projected to benefit from a high-pace offense and a favorable matchup against a weak Vikings secondary, which lacks a strong pass rush.

Insight page
PositiveProjection62:10

Christian Watson is viewed as a key target for Jordan Love in an offense expected to play with more pace and pass more than ever. The Packers are expected to rely on their passing game against a Vikings secondary that is considered weak, and Watson is a primary beneficiary of this scheme shift.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveUsage62:35

Despite missing the final three weeks of last season, Davante Adams led the NFL in red zone targets with 28, which was 10 more than the next closest player. He remains a high-upside, boom-bust receiver who serves as the primary option inside the 10-yard line, though his reliance on deep passes and touchdowns makes his weekly floor volatile.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveUsage25:46

DeVonta Smith is the WR11. He has shown significant production splits without AJ Brown, averaging 9 targets per game in those instances. The matchup against the Commanders' secondary is favorable, and he is expected to be a key part of the Eagles' passing attack.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

PositiveProjection70:31

DK Metcalf is viewed as a strong start due to Aaron Rodgers' apparent focus on getting him the ball. While his usage was inconsistent last year, the expectation is that he will be used differently in a more pass-heavy Steelers offense, potentially leading to a higher target volume.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeRole18:58

Drake London faces questions regarding his role in the Falcons' offense alongside Kyle Pitts, especially with concerns about Pittsburgh's top corner Joey Porter Jr. and the team's overall offensive efficiency. Despite being the WR5 in usage from 2024 through Week 11, his fantasy outlook is tempered by a low team point projection and uncertainty regarding his slot usage versus other depth chart options.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

NegativeInjury33:37

Emeka Egbuka's status is uncertain due to turf toe. If he plays, he is expected to line up in the flanker spot to avoid the toughest coverage matchups. His ranking may improve if he logs a full practice by the end of the week.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveValue20:47

Garrett Wilson is considered a great pick in the fourth round. Despite the Jets' low projected team total, the Titans allowed a league-high 18 PPR points to opposing WR1s last year. Wilson's target share is expected to remain high, and he is projected to benefit from increased pass attempts compared to previous seasons.

Insight page

George Pickens

PositiveBreakout17:43

George Pickens is the WR8. His usage evolved last year to include more high-percentage targets over the middle rather than just deep sideline balls. He is in a contract year and is viewed as having the potential to outperform CeeDee Lamb this season.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveMatchup5:03

Ja'Marr Chase is the WR2 for Week 1 against the Buccaneers. Despite Joe Burrow's tendency to start slow, the matchup is favorable as the Buccaneers' defense is a pass funnel, ranking 6th in passing yards allowed versus 27th in rush yards allowed last year. Chase faces unproven cornerbacks in a game where the Bengals have the third-highest projected team total (27 points).

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveSleeper57:34

Jalen Coker is considered a discounted asset who proved to be a reliable player inside and outside after entering the starting lineup last year. While some of his production was inflated by busted coverages, he has a favorable matchup against the Bears' secondary outside of Jalen Johnson.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

PositiveProjection56:23

Rashi Rice views Jalen McMillan as significantly better than Chris Godwin at this stage of their careers and intends for the rankings to reflect that gap, assuming McMillan is fully cleared and practicing.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

NegativeProjection30:08

Jameson Williams is a volatile fantasy asset whose production is tied to his usage alongside Sam LaPorta. While he offers high-upside vertical ability, his fantasy output fluctuates based on route types and the Lions' defensive performance. He is ranked as a top-20 receiver for Week 1.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

NegativeMatchup15:24

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the WR6 for Week 1 against the Patriots. While he accounted for 37% of team receptions last year, he faces a tough individual matchup against Christian Gonzalez, who effectively shadowed him in their previous meeting. Despite the difficult matchup, he remains a high-ranked option.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeMatchup27:06

Jaylen Waddle faces a difficult matchup against the Chiefs, who historically defend wide receivers well. Despite the Broncos' team total rising, the Chiefs' secondary and defensive line depth make this one of the toughest matchups for Waddle all season.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveProjection87:06

Jordan Addison is viewed as a potential WR3 candidate if the Vikings' quarterback play improves to a competent level. Despite a lack of consistency, his ability to catch deep passes gives him weekly touchdown upside.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeUsage58:58

There is skepticism regarding Josh Downs' ability to succeed as a stationary wide receiver in two-wide sets, as he has historically relied on motion and free releases. His Week 1 matchup against the Ravens is difficult, particularly if he is covered by Kyle Hamilton, who could neutralize him.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveMatchup8:54

Justin Jefferson is ranked as the WR4. He remains a round-one fantasy pick because his role—high target share and air yards—remains unchanged regardless of the quarterback. He has historically dominated the Packers, averaging 100 yards per game (excluding games with scramble-heavy QBs). The Packers' shift to more man and off-coverage is ideal for Jefferson's elite route-running ability.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

NegativeRole25:56

Ladd McConkey is a high-upside play in the Chargers' offense, which is projected to score 28.5 points. The primary concern is his snap share; he needs to be a 90%+ snap player to reach his full potential. He is compared to Jalen Waddle in terms of role and skill set.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveUsage28:25

Malik Nabers is expected to see significant snap volume due to the Giants' thin wide receiver depth chart. While there are concerns about his recovery from ACL/LCL surgery, he is considered a great player even at 80% capacity, and his role is expected to grow throughout the season.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeProjection73:28

Marvin Harrison Jr. faces a difficult game script as a 10-point underdog against the Chargers. While he is a talented player, the presence of Michael Wilson and Trey McBride in the offense limits his target share, and the market's expectation of a low-scoring game makes him a risky start.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveProjection0:05

Matthew Golden is ranked as a Top 36 wide receiver for Week 1, reflecting the continued draft season enthusiasm for him.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper85:22

Matthew Golden is a high-upside sleeper who is expected to stay on the field for the Packers. He is a fast receiver (4.2 speed) facing a weak Vikings secondary, and the Packers are incentivized to pass the ball due to a lack of trust in their running back committee.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury67:29

Mike Evans is being managed for minor injuries, including quad and hamstring issues, but is expected to be a full participant for Week 1. He faces a difficult matchup against the Rams' improved secondary, specifically Trent McDuffie, and the team's low projected point total limits his immediate ceiling.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveBreakout20:45

Nico Collins is the WR9. He is identified as the most likely candidate for a JSN-style breakout season due to his elite talent and lack of a certified WR2 on the roster. While the matchup against Christian Benford is difficult, Collins has the versatility to dominate in the screen and crossing-route game.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout32:06

Parker Washington is highlighted as a sleeper/breakout candidate, having produced as a WR1 in the latter half of last season. He is expected to operate primarily out of the slot and has a favorable matchup against the Browns' secondary, specifically targeting the slot corner position.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveUsage2:20

Puka Nacua is the WR1 for Week 1 against the 49ers. The Rams are expected to lean into 13 personnel, which should allow Nacua to dominate targets. While his red zone touchdown rate (0.32 per game) trailed Davante Adams (0.76) last year, he still finished as the WR1 overall. He averages 85 yards per game against the 49ers when excluding games where he left early.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

PositiveUsage81:46

Quentin Johnston is expected to see a high snap rate (75-90%) due to his blocking ability and role as a deep threat in the Chargers' offense. He is considered a candidate for a 50-yard touchdown, making him a volatile but potentially high-upside play.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeMatchup35:22

Rashee Rice faces a difficult matchup against the Broncos, who utilize man coverage heavily. Rice has historically struggled against man coverage, and his career stats against Denver are underwhelming. Concerns about his training camp performance and the Chiefs' overall passing volume further dampen his outlook.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

NegativeInjury65:22

Rome Odunze is dealing with a knee injury that has limited his practice participation to walkthroughs and jogging. While he was a high-usage receiver (WR20) in his final four games last year, his Week 1 outlook is tempered by a difficult matchup against a strong Carolina Panthers secondary.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

NegativeProjection28:36

Tee Higgins is the WR12. He is a volatile WR2 who can provide massive weeks but is prone to inconsistency. His historical production with Joe Burrow suggests he remains a fringe WR1/WR2 option.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeMatchup75:52

Terry McLaurin faces a difficult Week 1 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, specifically cornerback Quinyon Mitchell. Concerns about the Commanders' offensive line and the Eagles' pass rush, led by Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis, make McLaurin a risky play.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

NegativeUsage58:06

Trey Tucker is the Raiders' primary wide receiver, but Rashi Rice views him as a dart throw and advises against starting him in fantasy lineups. Rashi Rice argues that bench running backs generally project better than wide receivers in this tier.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

PositiveUsage91:48

Wan'Dale Robinson is expected to lead the Giants in targets, particularly in the slot. He faces a Jets defense that struggled against slot receivers last year, making him a strong PPR play for Week 1.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveUsage22:36

Zay Flowers is positioned for success against the Colts, with the analysts noting his high red-zone target potential. He faces a secondary featuring players returning from injuries (Sauce Gardner, Justin Whaley), and there is optimism he could lead the league in receiving yards based on his role in the Ravens' offense.

0:00We've got you covered! Yes, it's the first edition of Week 1 Wide Receiver Rankings 1 through 48.
0:05And Hayden's got some onion hangers for you, including Matthew Golden.
0:08I don't want to spoil this for you, but yeah, the preseason fantasy draft season love extends over into Week 1.
0:14Matthew Golden is a Top 36 wide receiver in these rankings.
0:17Also, are you debating these Bears wide receivers or what you should do with Rashi Rice, Malik Nabors, coming off of injury.
0:23We cover every single one of these topics, including all, and I mean all of the new play callers and offensive coordinators
0:30and how they impact these pass catchers. That's coming up next here on Yahoo Fantasy Football with Josh and Hayden.
0:35It's Week 1 Wide Receivers time. We're going to go at least 48 deep here.
0:39I mean, Hayden, we've talked about these players for months.
0:42One last moment, one last look at the depth charts, the injury reports, who's practicing, who's not.
0:47Obviously, we're recording this a couple of days earlier than we were expecting, but it's the first rankings episodes of the season.
0:53Yeah, super excited. I will have Rashid Shaheed, Romeo Dobbs, those guys written up if you guys want to go read.
0:59Some of you guys still read Yahoo Sports will have all my written work this year as it'd be a version of the same blueprint.
1:06And then we'll be hitting these wide receiver rankings typically on Friday, but too many games.
1:11Nothing else to do right now. You know, Wednesdays and Thursdays, just throwing wrenches into our plans.
1:16We're going to talk about those Wednesday and Thursday wide receivers too in this episode.
1:20So if you're watching on Friday or Saturday, just ignore them.
1:23Just fast forward. And yes, Hayden's going to be updating these all the way up until Sunday.
1:28And by the way, Sunday we are starting earlier than ever before, 1030 a.m.
1:32Eastern here on the channel up until kickoff. So basically two shows back to back on Sunday morning.
1:37So lock in and be right here at that moment.
1:40Here we go. Puka Nakua is your wide receiver one this week.
1:43This is against the San Francisco 49ers. Hayden, I think my question for the Rams and Puka in general is what changes this year?
1:50Because every year there is a change for Sean McVay.
1:53Is it even more 13 personnel? Are they going to live out of 12 personnel and use Terrence Ferguson as their wide receiver three?
1:59And maybe specifically for Puka, do we see more red zone targets for him immediately after he proved it that he can
2:06do it once Devante Adams went down last year?
2:08Rams always fascinating. I think they're going to double down on the 13 personnel stuff and they got a lot out of it.
2:15And I think that it does give defenses like a lot of things to consider.
2:19And I think that their skill talent at wide receiver and tight end indicates that would be the case.
2:24That's good news for Puka Nakua. He's just going to dominate targets.
2:28And I hope that the red zone stuff gets a little bit closer together because Devante Adams league high 0.76 touchdowns per game in the red zone.
2:35Who can a coup was at 0.32? So pretty much doubled them up in the red area.
2:40And even without those red zone touchdowns, he easily finished as the wide receiver one.
2:44He scored almost three more fantasy points per game than JSN.
2:47So I was looking at the 49ers splits because obviously these teams have played each other plenty of times.
2:53Who can a coup has two games where he left halfway through those, those games.
2:57So you kind of have to kind of discount those games.
3:00And even then 85 yards against the 49ers on average.
3:03Jamar chase is your wide receiver too. It's against the Tampa Buccaneers.
3:06I think Joe Burrow has always been a bit of a slow starter sometime.
3:10That's because, you know, he misses portions of training camp.
3:13But even last year when he was healthy in that first game, it wasn't a great performance.
3:18The other part of this is the Bengals have told us that they're going to change like the under center play action stuff.
3:24Hayden, is that going to be consistently good? And how much of it are we going to see here in week one?
3:30Yeah, I think they're trying to get more explosives on the ground.
3:34That's the primary primary focus for that. But I also think they're going to try to do some of the play action deep stuff.
3:41A lot of the Bengals offense the last couple years since the defenses have kind of changed how they defend them has been more dink and dunk.
3:48That's still made Jamar chase an awesome talent. What's interesting about this matchup is just the pass funnel nature of the Bucs defense.
3:55Vita Veya is back. They just gave him a big deal.
3:58Fairly unproven starters at cornerback to and in the slots of Jamar chasing is a good matchup for him teams historically just
4:04passed the ball against the Bucs six and passing yards allowed last year versus 27th and rush yards.
4:09That's largely a Vita Veya stat. Yep. The third highest projected team total.
4:13These Cincinnati Bengals have here at 27. It's notable because you know they're bringing back all five offensive line starters, but the
4:19Bucs hope is a much improved pass rush with you know, yeah, yeah.
4:23I'd be healthy and Reuben Bain brought in and some other pieces to on top of it.
4:27So that's the matchup I'll be watching for this one.
4:30I'm on Ross. St. Brown is your wide receiver three.
4:33This is against the Northern Saints. He was my wide receiver three in dress heading into this year and I can't wait
4:39to see what he does with drew petzing and that office.
4:42There's a totally great matchup here. And I think just beyond the matchup by the way, the Saints number one in neutral
4:49pace, the lions play with a lot of pace.
4:51So this could just be able to have the most plays and most points of the entire week.
4:56The lines are predicted for the second most points.
4:59Like this is just a great matchup from on Ross St.
5:02Brown. And then the other big thing is without David Montgomery has been a 10 game sample where David Montgomery either missed
5:08or finished with five or fewer carries. You'd like an injury or something like that.
5:12A Monro's average 20.9 PPR points, 22 expected PPR points.
5:15It was like wide receiver one overall. That's 8.4 receptions, 103 receiving yards per game in those 10 games.
5:20So I think that he's a total, total monster.
5:23Uh, and we could see without David Montgomery this season, that someone like a Monro St.
5:28Brown gets even a little bit better this season.
5:30So I think he likes firmly in the elite wider super one category.
5:34Your first change compared to consensus rankings, which by the way, I compare Hayden stuff to consensus out there, 70 plus experts.
5:40And we get to see like the real differences, the real stands that Hayden makes every single week is Justin Jefferson as
5:46your wide receiver for, um, I mean, he's wide receiver.
5:49Six for them. This is against the Green Bay Packers again, changes, not in play caller, but in the quarterback.
5:55And as we have seen, whether it be Kirk cousins to really Carson wins to Nick Mullins, to Sam Darnold, to whoever
6:01else, uh, Justin Jefferson is a productive wide receiver.
6:03So I'm really hoping that JJ McCarthy and Max Brosmer do not handle the football in this game.
6:08I will say even in week 18 with JJ McCarthy and Max Brosmer, Justin Jefferson did have 101 yards against these green Bay Packers.
6:15I've been listening to a lot of green Bay Packers podcasts, uh, because it's been one of the fascinating teams for, for fantasy purposes.
6:22And whenever they talk about the defense, they are very concerned about their cornerbacks.
6:26And then they're going to use a little bit more man coverage, a little bit more off coverage this year with a new scheme over there.
6:33And I think that plays right into someone like Justin Jefferson, who's like the best route runner against off man coverage in the NFL.
6:40So I think this is a fantastic individual matchup for Justin Jefferson.
6:43The Packers beat is very, very concerned about their defense right now without Micah Parsons.
6:48Uh, and then like you said, he averaged a hundred receiving yards from 2022 to 2024.
6:52If you remove the games with Josh jobs and Jaron Hall are kind of like scramble quarterbacks that's with, you know, Kirk
6:58cousins, Sam Darnold, Nick Mullins, you name it. I think that Kyler Murray is absolutely going to be in that tier.
7:04I think that Kevin O'Connell can win coach of the year.
7:07Kyler Murray can win comeback player of the year.
7:10And this is a fantastic, uh, week for Justin Jefferson to get going.
7:14Yeah. I always love to try to predict the week one reactions because again, it's an entire off season of trying to guess what's going to be correct.
7:21And you know, the Vikings projected here for 24 points.
7:24Uh, and if they have an excellent showing, uh, despite what being at home in this one, um, I could see some
7:30major reactions to what Kyler Murray looks like in Kevin O'Connell's offense.
7:34And what he doesn't. The reason I have had Justin Jefferson as a round one fancy pick all summer long is because his role really didn't change.
7:42It's a huge target share, huge number of air yards, and it was just the people throwing them the football.
7:47And while I'm not the highest on Kyler Murray out there compared to the world, uh, I think he is good enough
7:53to like clear the bar of what you have to be in terms of being good enough in KLC's offense.
7:59Yep. I'm very excited to watch Kyler. By the way, real quick, we don't have quarterback rankings, tight end rankings as videos this year.
8:06We're doing too much other things. I have them, uh, over on Yahoo.
8:09Kyler Murray is going to be my quarterback. So if you're looking for rankings, go read.
8:14There will be over on Yahoo. That'll be in the description down below too.
8:18So you can always check out quarterbacks and tight ends in the description of these YouTube videos.
8:23Chris Olave is your wide receiver five. This is at the Detroit lions.
8:26A couple of spots ahead of consensus here. Who has them as wide receiver seven.
8:31Yeah. Just another fantastic matchup here. They're a seven point dogs, uh, in Detroit.
8:35Ben Solak had a great, uh, stat about the, the lion secondary, the oldest of any team in the last 15 years.
8:41I should do not think they have the speed to match up with Chris Olave.
8:45The saints are still projected for over 21 points here.
8:48Uh, he was already the wide receiver seven per game last year, wide receiver six per game usage under Kellen Moore, number one in pace.
8:55Uh, he got better when Tyler Shuck was involved.
8:57He got better after Rashid Shaheed left. He averaged 9.9 targets per game after week 10, 86 yards.
9:02Those are clear wide receiver one numbers without Jordan Tyson.
9:05Nothing really has changed. Looking at the betting markets.
9:08Only Puka Nakua has more projected targets, 10 and a half for Chris Olave.
9:12Jawan Johnson probably ranks quite highly in your tight end rankings on top of it too.
9:16I think like five or six. Ooh, I didn't expect it to be that high.
9:21Sorry. I didn't check out every single one of your, that's awesome.
9:24All right. Next is JSN as your wide receiver six.
9:27As we know, this is tonight's game against the New England Patriots.
9:30I mean, last year, JSN accounted for 37% of the team's receptions.
9:33According to Reeves, that is only behind Brandon Marshall and Steve Smith since at least the 2005 season.
9:39Um, now we get a play caller change as we always talk about.
9:42Things happen when we get new play callers, new quarterbacks, all that type of stuff.
9:46So I also think it's reasonable to say, Hayden, that Rashid Shaheed outproduces what Cooper Cub did last year.
9:52So I'm really intrigued to see how JSN, who was a top three ranked wide receiver almost on a weekly basis in
9:58your rankings this year, opens as wide receiver six.
10:01You got him a couple spots lower than I typically do because of the matchup.
10:05Christian Gonzalez is obviously awesome. I rewatched the Super Bowl, the JSN versus Christian Gonzalez in prep for this.
10:10And, uh, JSN had nine targets, only 27 yards.
10:13Uh, Christian Gonzalez wasn't shadowing him the entire game, but typically Christian Gonzalez would follow him to the right.
10:18So the, whatever side JSN was on. And then there was some man coverage reps where even if JSN went into the
10:24slot, Christian Gonzalez was, was in there. So it's very rare to see like a true shadow in the NFL.
10:30I would say this was like shadow adjacent. And if you go back and I re, uh, read my Super Bowl notes,
10:36Christian Gonzalez was like shadowing like Cortland Sutton in the previous game.
10:40So I think it's gonna be Christian Gonzalez versus JSN.
10:42This will be the best matchup of week one.
10:45I can't wait to watch it. But Christian Gonzalez is one of the few cats that you have to, uh, realistically lower the wide receivers he's, he's facing.
10:53Yeah. And Sam John missed JSN on a few big plays in that game too.
10:57So we could be in for a big one.
11:00So don't just look at obviously the box score from the Super Bowl.
11:03Next is teammates. CD lamb, wide receiver seven, George Pickens, wide receiver eight.
11:07All I heard from Cowboys fans during draft season was, Hey man, George Pickens looks like our wide receiver one.
11:13And here they are in the true fancy football rankers debate, uh, back to back for you.
11:17Yeah. I mean, it's a fantastic matchup for, for both of them.
11:21The giants were pathetic against the run. I can see hard by like over correcting, bringing more guys into the box and
11:27then leaving their corners on islands and their corners are not good.
11:30Deontay banks, like they have been trying to replace him.
11:33Guess what? He's listed as a starter. Greg Newsom is also a very volatile player.
11:37Drew Phillips had some like competitive moments early on, but it's kind of fallen off recently as well.
11:42It is not a good secondary right now. So I can just see hard by bringing that safety into the box.
11:48Another linebacker and leaving these poor guys on islands, fifth highest projected point total, despite being on the road.
11:54The Cowboys are going to be projected for like second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, uh, most points pretty much every single week.
12:00So there's a chance that both these guys get home, uh, and CD lamb splits.
12:04He was still like basically the same guy. He just didn't score as many touchdowns last year with George picks.
12:10That's typically kind of evens out. And then even with, uh, CD lamb, George pickings average 77 yards per game, wider receiver 10 and wider super 13 usage.
12:18And the big thing for pickings last year was he wasn't just a sideline downfield ball winner.
12:22They gave him more and more gimmies. His eight out was lower.
12:26Where he caught more passes over the middle of the field and all that type of stuff.
12:31So his game changed, uh, when, you know, switching spots.
12:33I do think that George pickings could pass CD lamb.
12:36Do you think it's like, I think that's like firmly on the table.
12:40Yeah. Yeah. A hundred percent contract a year and all of it, you know, he's fired up.
12:45Nico Collins is your wide receiver nine against the Buffalo bills corners.
12:48I mean, Buffalo went through some changes defensively, as we know, changes offensively, uh, new head coach in charge.
12:53And meanwhile, Nico Collins. I mean, if you talk about gaps of top pass catcher to secondary pass catcher, he is up
13:00there among the top five or six across the league right now.
13:03My first line is Collins. The most likely wide receiver to have to have a JSN type of breakout season.
13:09It's just, it's this exact same situation, elite defense.
13:11There's no wider super two certified baller on tape.
13:14He's been good, uh, for stretches. I think everything's kind of coming together for him.
13:18He's been a more up and down wide receiver one.
13:21Like last year, he was the wider receiver 11, a wider receiver 11 usage.
13:25This is a difficult matchup. Christian Benford's a really good top corner.
13:28Uh, I do think that, uh, K Sean's going to do all the vertical stuff and I'm hoping that Nico Collins gets
13:34back into like the screen game, more crossing routes.
13:37Cause he can do literally anything that he wants out there.
13:40And I'm hoping that they just doubled down, uh, Nick Kaylee learns.
13:43Like we have to steam up Nico Collins a little bit more this year than he had, uh, last season.
13:49Yeah. 21 and a half. Isn't a horrible team total, but you know, 21 and a half is less projected points.
13:55Then like the Panthers and the Raiders and the Steelers and the Giants and a whole bunch of other offenses that you don't expect.
14:02So just something to keep in mind here with the Texans and yeah, I'm, I'm excited to come to a season long
14:08conclusion on what K Sean booty's role is going to be after just one game here with the Titans or the Texans.
14:14Yep. Okay. AJ Brown is next again, new place changing environment.
14:17I'm wondering Hayden, how this is going to rejuvenate AJ Brown.
14:20Um, obviously when his quarterback has been under center on 420 routes, uh, this is from Reeves.
14:25He has averaged 4.35 yards per route run last year.
14:28Drink may right 10th and snaps under center last year on drop backs.
14:32Uh, and now we get like the tight window throws, but again, he could see a whole bunch of Devin Witherspoon inside and outside in this one.
14:39Yeah. This is probably the best time to catch the Seahawks though.
14:43Devin Witherspoon is definitely going to be a problem.
14:45Those two are going to match up plenty, but, uh, Nicky man war is questionable after ankle surgery.
14:50Tyo Kuda is ruled out. They obviously don't have reek wall in and Kobe Bryant, uh, uh, after the off season as well.
14:57Um, now it's still the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle on ring night.
15:00So it's going to be, it's going to be a terror to play in there.
15:04Uh, but I just think that there's going to be a chance that Josh McDaniels features AJ Brown to such a degree
15:11that even in bad matchups, it doesn't really matter.
15:13Just wanted to, uh, reiterate Devante Adams had 180 and 175 targets with Josh McDaniels a couple of seasons ago.
15:19Uh, and that was like, I think around like the age 30 season that AJ Brown has right here.
15:24And I will also say weird off season. And then in training camp, like it was just a normal training camp for AJ Brown seems healthy and stuff.
15:32So I think that he's going to hit the ground running, you know, comfort, happiness, impact players a lot.
15:37And AJ Brown seems to be in a good place with all that stuff.
15:41So maybe that's a section of the field. We don't talk about section of the game.
15:46We don't talk about enough. Devante Smith speaking of is next as wide receiver 11.
15:50Uh, look, this is a totally new passing game with Sean Mannion.
15:53We have no idea really what it's going to look like, uh, with backups during the preseason, the offense really sputtered at sections.
16:00But Hayden, if you draw it up against a retold reworked Washington commanders defense really might be the most important debut and
16:06great opponent for this passing game to hit its stride in week one.
16:10The commander secondary still looks bad to me. It's Russell Douglas, Mike Sanders, still a Meek Robertson.
16:15Like those guys have had like moments, but like those are not consistent corners.
16:19I think it's going to be a pretty bad.
16:21Yeah. It's, I think this is still just an awesome matchup for him.
16:25The Eagles are seventh in projected points. Uh, we had like really awesome notes in our running back rankings episode for, for Saquon Barkley.
16:32Um, and the splits without AJ Brown for Devante Smith were unreal.
16:35Wide receiver 10 in targets in the games. It's only five games without AJ Brown.
16:39That's nine targets. Like he typically has not gotten nine targets.
16:42That would be awesome. Really just want to see the splits on Sean, uh, uh, the Sean, uh, Mannion offense, how balanced they are more motion.
16:50Are they going three wide? Are they doing Devante Smith in the slot?
16:53There's like so many unanswered questions here. I think ultimately it will just be a positive, uh, versus last year.
16:59And I want to be ranking Devante Smith aggressively.
17:01Just overall, the game total in this game has dropped from 47 and a half down to 44 and a half.
17:07That's the biggest line movement of the weekend. Three points.
17:10Uh, that's probably because they think that Saquon Barkley and the Eagles running game is just going to burn the clock here.
17:16You know, smart. I like it. T Higgins is your wide receiver 12.
17:20We already talked about the under center stuff with Joe Burrow and what his office is going to do.
17:25I will say that again, the last time that T Higgins played 17 games with Joe Burrow in that stretch, if you
17:32package it all together, I believe he was the wide receiver four.
17:35And points per game. Uh, that doesn't always mean it's the most consistent because you know, he's right on this fringe of
17:41wide receiver two territory and even wide receiver twos are roller coasters on a weekly basis.
17:46Yeah. Expanding the sample back to 2022, 39 games with Joe Burrow.
17:49He's the wider super 13 or wider super 14 usage.
17:52That's where I'm going to kind of like stick the landing with him.
17:56Uh, the past funnel bucket here, same notes as Jamar Chase applied to T Higgins a little bit more volatile than other
18:02guys in this range, but he can have two touchdowns and run away with it.
18:06All right. Before we go any further, just want to say to you people, thanks for making our draft season, our August, early September.
18:13So fantastic. If you're new around here, hit that subscribe button.
18:16Again, our show schedule leaves a throat on the screen right now.
18:19We've got you covered both before games on Sunday and then after games on Sunday night football.
18:24Mondays, we get the waiver show as soon as Monday night football ends here with Joel Smith on Tuesday.
18:29It's stats versus film, which is live this year with me and Hayden and Matt Harmon.
18:34Uh, and then Wednesdays, as you know, just listen to that episode.
18:37It's Justin Boone with running back rankings. And we're back here on Fridays with wide receiver rankings on top of it.
18:43Plus Hayden's appearing on shows in the Yahoo fantasy forecast.
18:46So am I, I'm doing that on Thursdays on top of it.
18:49So we've got you covered. On every single channel and every single angle.
18:53If you leave, you know, 2000 likes, that's the goal for this video on top of it.
18:58Drake London is your wide receiver 13 talking point at the Pittsburgh Seeders.
19:02Hayden, how is Kevin Stefanski going to balance Drake London and Kyle Pitts with Tua Tungvalu at quarterback?
19:07Um, I'm not sure if I have a good answer with that.
19:10And I think on top of that, uh, Joey Porter is a really good top corner.
19:15Um, and I'm just concerned about the split because Zach Robinson would get Drake London on the inside.
19:20Looking at the rest of the depth depth chart, they have a bunch of other slot guys.
19:24So like, are they going to like make that a priority still?
19:28Obviously Kyle Pitts plays in the slot too. So yeah, this is one where there's definitely more questions than answered at the same time.
19:35The Falcons offense has not been all that clean.
19:37Um, and since 2024, Drake London is the wider receiver five on wider receiver five usage from 2024, all the way to week 11.
19:44When he had that PCL injury, only Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson have a higher target share over that span.
19:50So you can only move them down as low as this.
19:53And I felt like Dilti even keeping outside the top 12.
19:56Yeah. I guess my concern is, you know, we're talking about the Pittsburgh Seeders here.
20:00It's not like one of the top teams in the league and the Falcons are still only projected for 19 points.
20:06Maybe that'll change when Penix takes over. Cause if you look at Drake London attached to Michael Penix, Kirk Cousins, Desmond Ritter,
20:12Marcus Mariota, like obviously the London stuff is at the best at the highest rate and kind of goes down from there a little bit.
20:19Um, and the other point is Joey Porter, didn't he miss most or all of the preseason holding out like that, that
20:25impacts as we have seen players early in the season.
20:28So I do wonder get a great second half of last year, if he's going to be able to immediately hit that stride against someone like Drake London.
20:36Yeah. The, the Steelers did, they have just so many defensive linemen and you saw like Jalen Ramsey out there.
20:42So it's like not even just Joey Porter, like this will be a top 10 defense for sure.
20:47Garrett Wilson is your wide receiver 14. My hot take this week is the jets are undervalued.
20:52Okay. 18 and a half projected total. The third lowest.
20:54This is against the Tennessee Titans. They are obviously underdogs to the Titans here on the road, but man, the Titans allowed
21:01a league high 18 PPR points to opposing wide receiver one targets last year.
21:05I understand that they bring in Robert Sala and yes, they bring in Alante Taylor in free agency, but Alante Taylor was
21:11at his best in new Orleans as a slot corner.
21:14So if they move them outside to me, that's a projection and not just a projection.
21:18That's what you should take advantage of. If you're Garrett Wilson, not a night match.
21:22Yeah. Taylor's like a really aggressive corner. And you say that as a compliment, also derogatory at the same time, Cordell fly
21:29kind of up and down as well. So, uh, and there's still don't have like a third quality corner, um, in Tennessee.
21:35So I think it's a good matchup. I agree with you.
21:38I would not rank the jets as the 31st offense this week.
21:41I think that's way too low. Um, Mike Leone had a great tweet about, uh, Garrett Wilson as well.
21:47Just that if you just like, look at the amount of dropbacks that actually turn into past attempts.
21:52And then what happens on past attempts between Gino Smith and Justin Fields, it's like a 40% increase in fantasy point production for, uh, the wider receiver group.
22:00So, and I think that the rest of the skill group getting better is going to help them stay on the field more.
22:06But those guys aren't so good that Garrett Wilson's target share is going to come down to like 23%.
22:11It's kind of like that goldy lock zone here where I think, uh, Garrett Wilson's going to be a great pick.
22:17If you got him like somewhere in the fourth round.
22:20I mean, just incredible analysis right there. Just incredible analysis.
22:23Like this is goldy locks down. That's your stuff.
22:26This is the, the area and the year. I think that Garrett Wilson, who we've been out on correctly in previous seasons,
22:32I'm in on Garrett Wilson this season. And, uh, hopefully it turns out right.
22:36Hopefully we time it correctly. Zay flowers is the widest here at 15.
22:39Speaking of overreaction Satan five in zone targets for Zay flowers last year.
22:43This is in a dome. They are favorites. I will go nuts if we get what two in zone targets or even two red zone targets.
22:50I'll take that Declan Doyle. Uh, show me something here.
22:53Yeah, that would be awesome. He's the wide receiver 13 in yards, wide receiver 47 in touchdowns per game or the past
22:59two, uh, past two seasons with Lamar Jackson. So just closing that gap, uh, there are six and projected points.
23:05Indianapolis Colts defense, I think is one that's going to be very boom bust sauce Gardner.
23:10He's returning from a torn Achilles. Justin Whaley, who I loved as a prospect, he busted his ACL going into his rookie season.
23:16He's gonna be making his debut. He's a slot defender.
23:19Obviously Zay flowers going to play some slot here.
23:21So two guys coming back from injury, that's going to be who's, uh, defending Zay flowers.
23:26I like his chances. I know like Matt Harmon, I think in, in our bold predictions, uh, or season, uh, predictions, he
23:32said that Zay flowers could lead the league in receiving, uh, I had Niko Collins clearing 1500 yards.
23:37I forget what you had, uh, for your bold predictions.
23:40Sean scribbling to finish as the rookie wide receiver one.
23:43I mean, is it that bold? Cut his mic.
23:45You can only take so many notes in the off season.
23:49Hey, and when I can just reuse that stuff for these columns, I will reuse it over and over and over.
23:54I think four or five of those group pieces.
23:57I just wrote about Deshaun's replay. Very predictable. Stealing my bit.
24:00Speaking of, I mean, half the league is changing offensive coordinators and play callers for the play caller standpoint.
24:05That is Ted Erwin-Millen here with the Carolina Panthers.
24:08Uh, the reason I bring that up, I mean, we know he was second in the league in terms of 43% of the air yards.
24:15As a rookie for the Panthers. Um, but what needs to change here is getting the football to him on early downs.
24:21He was third highest in target share on third downs last year, but 22nd on early downs.
24:26So this is what Brad Edzik needs to do.
24:29You know, get the ball on first and second down to team Mac.
24:32And there's so much talk about he and Jalen Coker playing in the slot.
24:36It was about 40% of the snaps in the preseason for both.
24:40That's the easy way to do it here, especially against the bears who are going to be without Kyler Gordon.
24:45Yeah. Stealing all my notes there. It's just, it's an easy problem to solve here.
24:49Like he's one of the easiest guys to throw the ball to.
24:53He was already the wide receiver 24 as a rookie.
24:56And typically in your second season, you get better.
24:58So I think that this is an appropriate ranking.
25:01Uh, it really just comes down to the bears defense.
25:04Is Jalen Johnson good or bad? He's had good seasons.
25:06He's had bad seasons. And I don't know what's going to happen this year.
25:10It seems like he's a little bit more motivated.
25:13Uh, they have a first round safety, Dylan, the end of men, who was awesome.
25:17He's going to be making his debut. But at the same time, Kobe Bryant, Kyler Gordon are like the, the veteran, like more stable pieces.
25:24And both of those guys are out. So I would be surprised if the Chicago bears are once again, second worst against fantasy wide receivers.
25:31Still, I would think that they're one that we should be targeting.
25:35The Panthers are expected to lose by just three points against the bears.
25:38But if they bears go absolutely crazy here, I think that Ted Arone and McMillan could have like eight, nine, 10, uh, 10 targets here.
25:45Panthers new tackles and Rashid Walker and Monroe feeling if they hold up well and the pass protection is good, then, um, that would be a fantastic day.
25:53I think for, for team act potential. I agree.
25:56I agree. Lad McConkie Hayden, I've been fantasizing for five months now of Lad McConkie being with Mike McDaniel and Justin Herbert
26:02and that trio and what they can create here.
26:04So I'm really dreading looking back on this game and Lad McConkie is like a 63% snap player.
26:10Uh, I need to be a 93% snap player.
26:12Yeah. I can't say I've been fantasizing, but I've been, I've been intrigued by what's going to happen here.
26:17This, uh, Chargers offense is going to be using two wide receiver sets.
26:21What does that mean for Trey Harris? What does that mean for the tight ends?
26:25Keaton Mitchell seems like he's going to be back.
26:28What does that mean for the running back group?
26:30Very exciting offense to get right because the Chargers are first in team total 28 and a half points.
26:36They're expected to beat the Cardinals by 10 here at home.
26:39Lad McConkie has been a wide receiver one for stretches.
26:42He fell off a cliff last year with Keenan Allen, totally different offense.
26:45I think that this one's great for Lad McConkie.
26:48He's reminds me of Jalen Waddle. Who's been in this mix.
26:51And then obviously to a, like basically he couldn't win the starting job.
26:55And now you have Justin Herbert for Mike McDaniel.
26:57So very intrigued to see this one. The snap count is something I am paying attention to for Lad.
27:03Okay. Let's go Jalen Waddle next. He's your wide receiver 18.
27:06Another player that we've talked at length about the summer.
27:09This is at the Kansas City Chiefs. I mean, this Broncos team not projected for that many points.
27:14However, they have seen a spike in it over the last couple of days.
27:18I think it's been an increase in two and a half team total points for them up from 28 and a half to 23 and a quarter.
27:25So maybe I was brainwashed early in the week.
27:28But for Monday Night Football, Hayden, let's say the line is moving in the direction here.
27:32The Broncos to put up more points than expected.
27:35Yeah, the Chiefs defense, obviously a ton of changes here.
27:38If Mansoor Delaney, their first round corner lives up to his potential.
27:41And he was like a can't miss prospect to me.
27:44Then I think this is going to be a pretty tough matchup.
27:47They have more depth on the defensive line this year than they ever had before.
27:51So I think the Chiefs defense still squarely in like the top 10 mix this year.
27:56Playing in Arrowhead with Mahomes coming off an ACL.
27:58It's going to be rocking on Monday Night Football.
28:01I hope this is the lowest at ranked Jalen Wall for the rest of the season.
28:05This is, I think, a very difficult matchup. But the Chiefs always play wide receivers very well.
28:10Even though they're undergoing changes in the secondary, you just always know Spag is going to end up figuring this out.
28:16So this is, I think, going to be one of the most difficult matchups for Waddle the entire season.
28:22And still, I have positive notes for him. Okay, Malik Nabors.
28:25Wide receiver 19. I don't know if you saw this, but I got tagged in a big post by Stefania Bell appearing on Matthew Barry's show.
28:32She said she can't remember, and she's been doing this for a very long time, when a wide receiver was coming off ACL plus LCL surgery.
28:39I mean, we hear about these ligament combos all the time.
28:42And I was certain that this wasn't as rare, but apparently it's incredibly rare.
28:46But Hayden, she said not necessarily it's about his rehab with the knee being okay.
28:51It's about the confidence in it. It's about being out there and going up for a catch and not being afraid to
28:57get hit and all that type of stuff. And while she might be more in on 2027 versus 2026.
29:02But then, me, I don't have a lab coat.
29:05I don't have a degree in this. But I just look at this depth chart, and if the Giants cut Darius Slayton,
29:11and the depth chart at wide receiver is what it is, wouldn't you just simply expect Malik Nabors to be full go 100% despite maybe comments suggesting otherwise?
29:19That's what I had in my notes too. They have four guys at wide receiver right now.
29:24I think they'll bring up like Braxton Berrios or something like that.
29:27But right on the active roster, it's four wide receivers.
29:30Now, this is a team that's going to be in two wide receiver sets and one wide receiver sets a lot this year.
29:36But I think those end up being positive notes for Malik Nabors.
29:40So this is like the bottom of that huge tier of wide receivers that we loved in round three and round four.
29:46I'm starting Malik Nabors at the bottom and then hopefully every single week that goes up and up and up.
29:52But because there's no other wide receivers, I feel pretty confident he's going to be out there for a lot of snaps.
29:58I think he's not going to be fully himself early on.
30:01But man, 80% of Malik Nabors is still a great football player.
30:04All right. One of your big moves is coming up after this one.
30:08Next, you have Jamison Williams. Wide receiver 23 to consensus.
30:11Wide receiver 20 here for you. Again, high projected team total.
30:14Second highest of the weekend. Only behind the LA Chargers.
30:17And we also have talked about Laporta in a Petsing offense.
30:20Jameer Gibbs in a Petsing offense. I'm on Ross St.
30:23Brown in a Petsing offense. And, you know, Jamison Williams is like, Hey, what about me?
30:27Well, here you go. Your top 20 wide receiver in week one.
30:30Yeah, this one's like going to be very difficult to get right.
30:34Because when Sam Laporta historically has been on the field with Jamison Williams, his ADOT goes up by like three or four yards.
30:40There's a lot fewer crossing routes, more of like big post routes and go routes.
30:45Now, I think Jamo has been improving every single year where I think that you just he's been too effective at the
30:51crossing routes and stuff that I would keep doing that even if you have Sam Laporta.
30:55So I think that there are on off splits with Sam Laporta and like those do exist.
31:00I don't think they're going to be quite as drastic moving forward.
31:03On top of that, the Lions defense at points was very good.
31:07And now I think they're going to be pretty suspect through the air, plus the Saints run a fast paced offense.
31:13So it's going to be way more volatile than all the 19 guys we talked about ahead of him.
31:18But Jamison Williams is going to have some weeks where it's like two touchdowns, 118 yards.
31:23If you start ranking that guy's wide receiver 30, you're in trouble.
31:26We always love the pure downfield vertical ability of Jamison Williams.
31:29But the value really is I'm crossing routes against the grain and then getting the football in his hands and letting him boogie after that.
31:36OK, your first onion hanger of the season at wide receiver is Parker Washington consensus wide receiver 27 for you wide receiver 21.
31:43This is against the Cleveland Browns defense. I mean, once fantasy rankings, the dust settled there, the ADP was Parker Washington, then BTJ, then Jacoby Myers.
31:50Hayden, are you a little bit surprised that Parker Washington and the Jags didn't get a deal done before the start of the season?
31:57Or is it P-Wash just believing in his ability and being like, hey, you're not offering me enough here?
32:02Still a couple of days until the season. So let's see if he actually gets one.
32:07But if I was Parker Washington, I would certainly consider, hey, what if I hang a thousand yards this season?
32:12As the number one. And I'm going to get even more money the following offseason.
32:17Week seven was his kind of like debut as a full time player last year.
32:21From that point on, he was PPR as wide receiver 18, wide receiver 15 usage, 21% target share, which is about the wide receiver 21 as well.
32:28He was a full tier above Brian Thomas and Jacoby Myers.
32:32Sounds like Travis Hunter is going to start the season at corner.
32:35So I think that this is a great spot for Parker Washington.
32:38Looking at the depth chart for the Browns as well.
32:41Obviously, Denzel Ward's their top corner. He's going to be on Brian Thomas.
32:45And I think that it's going to be Tyson Campbell and Miles Harden, their slot corner.
32:49That's who Parker Washington is going to be going against.
32:52I just think in general, it's a good spot for him.
32:55Yeah. For those that have questions of this wide receiver trio, and if they were drafted correctly, again, once we got to
33:01week 11 and beyond last year, Parker Washington was viewed and produced as the wide receiver one.
33:06Also, look for who was running the 15-yard routes over the middle of the field.
33:10That matters so much here for Liam Cohen. And on top of it, when all three of these wide receivers are on
33:17the field, Parker Washington moves in the slot like 63% of the time.
33:20So, yep. He's wound up on like a ton of my teams.
33:24I'm excited. Very, very excited to see what happens here.
33:27Emekek Buka is your wide receiver 22. We talked about this Bengals offense.
33:30What about the reworked Bengals defense against a wide receiver here and near two coming off of turf toe or dealing with that?
33:37And maybe facing DJ Turner, one of the more underrated defensive players in the league.
33:41If you guys remember last year, the Bengals were one of the worst defenses, but they were actually second best against fantasy
33:47wide receivers because DJ Turner was like a wide receiver one eraser.
33:50And then their linebackers and safeties were so miserable that the tight ends and the running backs would just go absolutely crazy.
33:57I don't think that the split between wide receivers and the rest of those positions is going to be quite as drastic this season.
34:03Emekek Buka sounds like he's going to be playing.
34:06We'll get the final practice reports. If we get a full practice in by the end of the week, I might rank
34:12him up a couple spots from here. But turf toe, you know, coming back from turf toes is no joke.
34:18There is a drop off from DJ Turner to down to Dax Hill and Jalen Davis.
34:22And I'm curious to see exactly where Emekek Buka is going to line up.
34:26Chris Godwin is probably going to be playing in the slot.
34:29But I'm hoping that Emekek is going to be playing more of the flanker spot than the X receiver spot that he was playing.
34:36And if that is the case, I think that Emekek is not going to be up against DJ Turner every single snap.
34:42So kind of like threading a needle here. Yeah, you get to motion amended stacks and free releases and all that type
34:49of stuff when Nick Buka is the Z. Okay, let's talk Rashi Rice.
34:52Wide receiver 23. Hayden, when he's been on the field previously, he's scored what 15 plus fancy points per game went on the field.
34:59Like that is in regular season. That is in the postseason.
35:02And guess what? He is going to be on the field here against the Denver Broncos.
35:07And if he's not going to be the focal point, the passing game, who is in 2026?
35:11I think he will be the focal point. It might not be as drastic as of a split as it was previously.
35:18And I think they're going to pass the ball less.
35:20I think the problem with Rashi Rice right now is one, is he the same level player cleanup procedure?
35:26Then he went to jail. I haven't loved what I've seen from the training camp practices.
35:30So I would love to see some full practices going into this.
35:34And then all of us just watch the game and see how he looks.
35:38On top of that, the Broncos played man coverage more than anybody in the league last year.
35:42They have this guy named Patrick Sertan. And the rest of their secondary is awesome as well, including their nickel corner.
35:48And Rashi Rice has been terrible against man coverage.
35:51So it's just like not a good matchup. You look at the career games against the Broncos, 38 scoreless, 56 yards scoreless,
35:5772 yards scoreless, four, four, and six reception. So like compared to like every other team, the Broncos have played Rashi Rice as good as anybody.
36:04Chiefs also only projected for 23 points, middle of the pack right here.
36:08All right. Christian Watson is your wide receiver 24 to close out the wide receiver two category.
36:13His game evolved last year. Can't wait to see what it does this year.
36:17There's not going to be, we hope, I mean, we truly hope a wide receiver rotation.
36:21These three guys are going to be glued on the field.
36:25And even in two wide receiver sets, Christian Watson is going to be glued on the field.
36:29This is the Minnesota Vikings defense. They, you know, mug the gaps up front and then play zone in the back.
36:35So that can be difficult. So I do think in the step that Watson took in terms of out routes and lower
36:41a dot and attacking more blades of grass could really benefit here in week one.
36:46There's not going to be a rotation. Even their wider receiver four, Savion Williams, he's on injured reserve.
36:51So it's like, it's sky more, who's a kick returner and other guys.
36:54You can't even pronounce their last names. Like those are the backups for, for all three of these guys.
37:00So this is the best chance that Jaden Reed, golden and Watson can get home.
37:04The Vikings secondary is looking pretty rough. Byron Murphy, Isaiah Rogers, Jay Ward are their starting corners.
37:09And I was listening to those Packers reporters and they think they can just throw the ball all over Minnesota and that
37:15they don't have a good pass rush right now, which I think is true.
37:19Like Dallas Turner is not taking the step. They have some interesting defensive tackles, but they can just like drop back and
37:25throw the ball over the top against the Minnesota Vikings because their secondary is not good.
37:30And Christian Watson was fantastic. This team's going to play with more pace than ever passed the ball, more than ever.
37:36And I think they're going to use a running back by committee and they don't trust those guys.
37:41They trust Jordan love, Christian Watson, Matthew golden, these guys.
37:43So I have a pretty aggressive rankings. All of them.
37:46Yeah. Vikings just brought back Harrison Smith, you know, got to take a slumber, a CS to all training camp and then
37:53pay him over like $10 million here. That's nice.
37:55Nice money. If you can get it. Okay. Devante Adams is your wide receiver 25, even though he missed the final three
38:01weeks of last season, Devante Adams still led the NFL in touch.
38:05He had 28 in zone targets, which according to rich rebar in the worksheet, that was the most recorded since that data started being tracked.
38:12And the next closest player had 18. So he had 10 more than anyone else.
38:16Devante Adams is one of those players that, you know, we could look back on during fancy draft season of, Oh, he's old.
38:22Oh, he got banged up as the season went along, all that type of stuff.
38:27And then, Oh yeah, he's on the Rams and he's their go-to player inside the 10 yard line.
38:32We probably should have just been drafting that a bit more often.
38:35Yeah. I'm just does it again. I can totally see that.
38:38I'm a little bit nervous with this ranking. I might have to reconsider this one.
38:42He was the wide receiver nine, a wide receiver five usage last year.
38:46And what happened is the red zone role was, was legit.
38:49And then between the twenties, his eight odd was like 16 yards down the field.
38:53I think only a couple of wide receivers in the NFL had a higher a dot outside of the red zone, the Devante Adams.
39:00So he's an extremely boom bust wide receiver and that he has to score the touchdowns or has to score or come
39:06down with some of his, his deep passes. So we'll see what his role looks like.
39:11Didn't love that. They were considering trading him last year or this off season, but I will be moving him up.
39:17This is, this is too well. Next. You have both bears, wide receivers and your name is Hayden Wink.
39:22So that means you have room with Dunze ranked ahead of Luther burden, even with maybe some, negative buzz about Roma doing
39:28say like we still, we're recording this early so we can get it out for the Wednesday and Thursday games.
39:34I wish we had more, you know, practice designations for what Roma doens day is going to be like over these next few days.
39:41Ben Johnson was asked what injury it is. He said it is not about the foot fracture, stress fracture that Roma doens they played with last year.
39:48And in fact, I think the bears beat writers have mentioned it's to the opposite knee, but again, it's been like walkthroughs
39:55and jogging to the side and, and limited participant and all that type of stuff.
39:59So where are you at with a dunze and burn here against the Carolina Panthers?
40:03I don't stress about injuries until I see their practice report.
40:06So if he's, if he's not going to play, I will take him out for my rankings.
40:11I'm assuming he's, he's playing for, for now. Um, and Roma dunze was the wide receiver 20 in usage of his last
40:17four games of the season before he got injured last year.
40:20He was actually, uh, performing extremely well. Uh, he was the wide receiver 18 and usage wide receiver 22 in targets per game.
40:27Uh, now you don't have DJ more. I think that Roma doing there's a very good player.
40:32And, um, I think the matchup is, uh, is, is not the best.
40:35The Panthers have two really awesome corners. And I think that their defenses in general looks a little bit better.
40:41So I have Roma dunze and Luther burden ranked a little bit lower than I otherwise, uh, would, but obviously it just comes down to the report.
40:49I'll have all this finalized later. Speaking of injury report, Mike Evans is your wide receiver 28.
40:53This is the Thursday game against the LA Rams in Australia.
40:56Mike Evans recently said that all of his injuries were minor, that this was all basically part of the plan that they had.
41:03Hey, and I didn't know like croins and quads and maybe future hamstrings were part of the plan, but I guess they were.
41:09Um, and then he's going to be managed every week, which does make sense.
41:13Um, I will add that this Rams defense goes from one of the worst cornerback rooms in the NFL last year to
41:20adding both of the chief starters in the same off season.
41:23Yeah. So we'll see what happens here with, with Mike Evans and his passing game and company.
41:27Uh, I'm in enticed by, you know, a 27 year old Mike Evans on this offense, but we get a 33 year old version instead.
41:35I kind of believe that they were just like, you know, it was maintenance, the entire training camp.
41:40Like you miss like, you know, three or four practices in a row and stuff.
41:44Like what does he have to do in training camp to, to prove himself?
41:48So I kind of believe that, uh, obviously you can get injured later on, but I think that for this, this game,
41:54he's going to be a full participant. Um, the matchup is definitely very difficult.
41:58Trent McDuffie and Jalen Watson. Watson was on the injury report though.
42:01So we'll finalize that. Um, but it'll be most likely Trent McDuffie on, uh, Mike Evans here.
42:06The team totals only had 22 and a half points.
42:09It's 18th for the 49ers. It's not a whole lot.
42:12That's what's going to happen against the, the Rams defense.
42:15No, Aaron Donald, uh, helps on the margins here, but miles Garrett versus, uh, Trent Williams is going to be going to be a treat for us.
42:22Uh, I think Mike Evans was like pretty solid last year.
42:25Um, so I think that whenever he's out there, we want to like rank him as a starter for sure.
42:31DK Metcalf is wide receiver. 29. Hayden, do you believe in Antarctica or is that just where another civilization lives inside of the earth?
42:38Well, DK Metcalf smart because you know, this is, this is complete red meat for Aaron Rogers and he wants the rock.
42:44So this is the perfect time. 150 targets in the direction of DK Metcalf is, is what I took from, from that piece.
42:50Yes. Yes. He's a smart guy. He knows what he's doing here.
42:54Last year, uh, Metcalf was a wide receiver 28 and a wide receiver 34 usage.
42:58Um, and obviously Michael Pittman's in the rotation. Now you, uh, draft journey Bernard, it's going to be a totally different offense.
43:04So I don't want to like look into last year's stats too much in general.
43:08I think the Steelers are going to pass the ball more.
43:12And it's just like something that McCarthy does versus the, uh, the last coordinator for the Steelers.
43:16Uh, DK Metcalf was not throwing the ball down the field at all last year.
43:21Um, and then when he was splitting time with other wide receivers, his target share, like really fell off a cliff.
43:27So I can see this one end up going either way.
43:30Uh, AJ Terrell for the Falcons is, is not the easiest matchup one-on-one, but the Falcons pass rush is pathetic.
43:35And I think that if Aaron Rogers is not actually threatened by a pass rush and he can just dice, uh, uh,
43:41the defense up with his mind, it's a pretty good spot.
43:45So I think DK Metcalf is absolutely a start.
43:47Average 55 or fewer yards in 11 of his 15 games last year.
43:51Um, but man, every single show that Aaron Rogers appears on right now, he's talking to DK Metcalf.
43:56Like if Mike McCarthy can give Rogers that self-belief that he used to have to read it out with this improved offensive
44:02line, then yet DK is an interesting player. He'll probably be used differently than he was last year on top of it.
44:08You have Marvin Harrison jr. As your widers here at 30, this is at the LA chargers.
44:13How many times did you have Marv this summer?
44:16Uh, not many. This was officially like that dead zone.
44:18If you guys were watching the Yahoo expert league for like three rounds in a row, nobody liked their picks.
44:24And like that kind of started with like Marvin Harrison.
44:27Uh, they're expected to lose by 10 points. Game script is definitely on Marvin Harrison's side here at the same time.
44:33It's pretty clear that Michael Wilson's going to be very involved in the offense.
44:37You have training bride. So there's only so many touchdowns to go around when you're projected for 19 points here.
44:42Chargers defense is one that I think has a chance to go from like top five down to closer to middle of the pack.
44:49That's how good of a coordinator. Jesse Minter is they, they have like some stars on the defense, but it's not like littered with stars everywhere.
44:57So I think in general, it's a fine matchup for him.
45:00I'm very curious to see if LaFleur is going to be like pot committed to running the ball or if they're going
45:06to do the PPR scam stuff that we saw in second halves last year.
45:10Um, yeah, I don't know. I know a lot of people with the Cardinals this year are just baking in like, Oh,
45:16we're going to get the same garbage time stuff that we got last year.
45:20As you know, Hayden, I think that that is such a tight needle to throw out, like a tight rope to walk
45:26in that you have to be bad for three quarters almost, and then just be able to turn it on in the fourth quarter.
45:33Like I would just kind of bet against that repeating itself over and over and over again, even with Jacoby at quarterback.
45:39So you're hoping this team is more competitive in the opening three quarters than they were previously.
45:44Uh, and maybe they came with LaFleur at the same time, the markets don't believe so when you're, you know, underdogs by 10 points in the season opener.
45:52Terry McLaurin is your wide receiver 31. You are well behind consensus here.
45:55Uh, they have him as wide receiver 26. So what gives you concerns here against the Philadelphia Eagles on the road?
46:01Oh, Quinnian Mitchell is being an all pro corner and that's who's going to be up against.
46:06And if it's not him, it's reek wall in who's a total, total upgrade for their cornerback to spot.
46:12And then you have Cooper Dejean, who's not going to see Terry cause it's in the slot, but like, man, this defense,
46:18this is going to be a total problem, like a total problem.
46:21I think people are kind of discounting what the Eagles could do this year.
46:25Like if Sean Mannion goes, is like a real coordinator, this team like absolutely is like a contending team.
46:30Uh, it's players like Queen Mitchell to answer your question for, for, um, for Terry McLaurin.
46:35And that's all, it's also the pass rush. Like if they're having center problems, like this is not a team you want
46:41to have center problems with Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter, and you're having center problems and guard problems.
46:46Like no, and a blitzing Zach bond to, you know, you got to pick it up and all that type of stuff.
46:52It's, it's tough. Yeah. I mean, remember go back 365 days when people were freaking out about us suggesting George Pickens because
46:59he was an outside downfield wide receiver when they faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles.
47:03Uh, and guess what? Terry McLaurin has to do that here.
47:06Shut out. And, and week one, I did notice Hayden, um, every single one of my Yahoo coworkers, including you pick the
47:12Dallas Cowboys to win the NFC East. And I picked the Philadelphia Eagles.
47:16So do you want to rework that right now?
47:18That was a great call. I'm going to scan through all of those.
47:22I was like that, that was, you know, you want to be contrarian every once in a while.
47:27I think the Broncos to go to the Superbowl.
47:30That was my contrarian take the Eagles winning this division is, is a, is a great one.
47:34Yeah. I mean, aren't they the favorites? I haven't looked at it, but I would assume they're the favorites, but based on,
47:41you know, this graphic with literally eight other people on it, picking the Cowboys and picking the Eagles.
47:46Hey, I get in the good graces of Philly.
47:48That works out for me, which is good. That's always a good thing.
47:5250, 50 chance. It's not going to be the commanders of the giants.
47:56So like if, you know, 90% of us pick the Cowboys, you know, you're on the good side here.
48:01There it is. Okay. DJ more slots in as wide receiver 32.
48:04This is at the Houston Texans. I'm assuming DJ more be ranked higher than this in future weeks.
48:09Again, this is the Texas defense that has awesome corners, awesome linebackers.
48:13Again, incredible pass rushers up front. Uh, at the same time, we still get to see and figure out what DJ more
48:19looks like in his second iteration of a Joe Brady offense.
48:22Yeah, I think I might slide him ahead of, of Marv.
48:25You can just like drop Marv down a couple of spots here.
48:29Um, now it's, I do that every episode, uh, second guess myself with Marv.
48:33Um, with DJ more, there's going to be, I think some manufactured stuff, maybe not as much as, as he has in previous seasons.
48:39He has to win over the top. It's a very difficult defense to win over the top.
48:44I will say the bills returned for their offense alignment and they usually keep that thing, uh, protected pretty well.
48:50So, um, I think they'll be able to hang with the Texans defense, but as a top five, uh, defense against fantasy
48:56wide receivers last year, obviously Derek Stingley is going to see a lot of DJ more.
49:01Hey, we go from now Marv is wide receiver 32, or excuse me, 32 to Quentin Johnston as wide receiver 33.
49:06I'll repeat what I said with Lad McConkie that, uh, it'll be interesting to see what QJ looks like here, who certainly
49:13has had his moments in recent season and stretches of the season.
49:16Uh, can Mike McDaniel, who was very good at accentuating strengths and maybe hiding some weaknesses, get that right with QJ.
49:22And is he going to be a 75 plus percent snap player on the seat?
49:26I think it'll clear 75% snaps, uh, because I think if they do go to two wide receiver sets and they're trying
49:32to run the ball, I think you'd want QJ out there to block more than Lad McConkie.
49:37Um, so I, I think that his kind of snap rate is going to be nice and secure in the 80s, maybe hopefully 90%.
49:44Um, and then it's, are they going to hit the deep ball with them?
49:48I think that that's going to be the role in this offense.
49:51You've heard about the drive phase, uh, from that viral, uh, camp moment.
49:55Uh, Cardinals are pretty much like running back the same defense that they had last year.
49:59Like not a whole lot of changes to that unit.
50:02There's like hoping that there's like a little bit more continuity and that kind of pays off here.
50:07They were pretty rough to watch on defense last year as well.
50:11So, um, who's more likely to score a 50 yard touchdown Marv or Quinn Johnson this week?
50:16It's probably QJ. Let's flip it again. All right.
50:18Well, Brian Thomas Jr. Is next. And you could probably say the same thing about BTJ and you know, the downfield routes.
50:24Uh, he is going to face Denzel Ward quite a bit though on the outside.
50:29Yeah. He's, he draws the most difficult matchup of everyone in Jacksonville.
50:32We're going to say that a lot. Joel Smith had agreed tweets looking at all the cornerback ones.
50:37BTJ is going to go up against, uh, uh, early in the season.
50:41I will say with Brian Thomas, like he could just be so good again that it doesn't even like really matter that
50:47he's just going to get home against some of the top corners.
50:50Like he is so electric with the ball. It's going to be way too volatile to get right every single week.
50:56Denzel Ward is definitely one of the more difficult matchups, especially if the Browns offense is cannot move the ball against Jacksonville's defense.
51:03There's only gonna be so many dropbacks. And I think that's what scares me even more than Denzel Ward is the Browns
51:09are not going to move the ball in Jacksonville.
51:11Jacksonville's defense looks really good to me. Uh, so I think there's only gonna be so many past attempts to go around here.
51:18All right. Here's your biggest difference compared to the public, compare the market.
51:22Do you want to guess where your wide receiver 35 Matthew Golden ranks out there?
51:26Uh, 48. Yes, exactly. He's wide receiver 48 in consensus rankings.
51:29Why are you 13 spots ahead? Uh, I'm going to draft the area.
51:33I did draft a whole lot of the first rounder on the Packers.
51:36Who's not going to come off the field. And it's a team that's going to pass the ball more and they're incentivized
51:42to pass the ball more against the Vikings right now.
51:45Um, because they don't, they're not going to trust their running backs against them.
51:49And I don't think that the Vikings have good corners right now.
51:53And you know, by the way, Harrison Smith, you're on the couch for, for multiple months, you come back, you're what?
51:5935 or 36. And your first matchup, you're going to have to be playing deep downfield.
52:03And here comes Matthew golden, who runs four, two, and the Christian Watson runs four, three.
52:08Like you're going to pull your hamstring trying to cover those guys down the field.
52:12So I think it's a really good spot. If you listen to the Packers reporters who they have an awesome staff, like
52:18they are really talking about Matthew golden. Uh, and I think for right reasons, Jordan Addison is close in terms of you being higher than the market.
52:26He's your wide receiver 36. He's ranked as wide receiver 43 in consensus rankings.
52:30Look, Justin Jefferson on a weekly basis in a good Vikings offense is extremely consistent.
52:34But if we believe that Justin Jefferson is going to have a good year, then Hayden, I don't think enough people are
52:40then assuming that Jordan Addison is also going to have a good season.
52:44I'll be at a bit more Rocky because he's going to be in that wide receiver two, three, three and a half
52:50territory as a rookie wide receiver 22 per game.
52:52The next season wide receiver 23 per game last year, obviously complete disaster because the quarterback play, but if we think that
52:59Kyler Murray can do, you know, get back to Kirk cousins, Sam Donald level quarterback play, why can't he be a wider receiver three this year?
53:06Now he does it in a different way. There's no consistency.
53:09Uh, betting markets have him at five and a half targets, totally understandable, but he, he is one of the guys that
53:15can have 80 yards and a touchdown because he catches a deep post.
53:19All right. We've talked about Michael Wilson and the Marvin Harrison Jr.
53:22Conversation. Uh, there are some suggesting that he could be like the Cooper cup role in this Michael for offense.
53:28I think we're going to have a bunch of takeaways from who's going to be put in motion.
53:33Who's going to get the free releases, all that type of stuff.
53:36The easy access throws. Yeah. If that's Michael Wilson, that's a good thing.
53:40I do want to ask you about, uh, Alec Pierce, who is next for you as wide receiver 38, because you listen
53:46to Shane Sykin, all systems go here for Alec Pierce.
53:49And he is an important piece of this offense as really the only field stretcher on the roster.
53:54Yeah. Hoping to get some full practices here, but the fact that he returned to practice is the last, uh, week or
54:00so is probably pretty promising for him. He was so good last year.
54:04Uh, and there's like, I guess less target competition with Michael Pittman out of there.
54:08He was the wide receiver 26 and full PPR.
54:11He was even better than that. And half PPR.
54:13I'm not expecting him to repeat that, but I see him like ranked as like wider super 50 or so.
54:19Like that is just so far off where he finished last year.
54:22And if he is a truly good full participant, let's say he's 90% of himself.
54:27They were at one point saying that he's going to be in a little bit of a different role.
54:32I think that we might've overstated that. Uh, but last year his breakout season was because he was all of a sudden
54:38very good, like on the dig routes and a couple of curl routes and whatnot.
54:42And he did not show that previously. That's how you can be a wider receiver three.
54:47And fantasy, the matchup is not a good one.
54:49The Ravens defense can be awesome. Jesse Minner is gonna be one of the best defensive coordinators.
54:54Um, and the Ravens are just going to be a really good team this year.
54:58Uh, so I don't feel great about the matchup, but I think we should get real with what Alec Pierce did last year.
55:05If he is truly fully healthy. Okay. Juan Dale's wide receiver 39.
55:08Um, I get this Hayden, even if it kind of hurts you to put him, uh, among some of these names, because
55:15this jets team, as Reeves noted, allowed a league high 76.5% catch rate and nine yards per target to slot wide receivers.
55:21After trading away sauce Gardner last year, I have questions about their outside corners, the jets, and that extends to the inside and the interior as well.
55:28Um, so yeah, the PPR scale might start here in week one for the favored Tennessee Titans.
55:33I think the jets defense still looks pathetic. I mean, especially the, the, the linebackers and the, the defensive backs they have is not looking too pretty.
55:41So I think it's a good spot for, for Wandale.
55:44I hate to admit it, but Wandale Robinson last year was the wide receiver 17, a wide receiver 13 usage in full PPR.
55:50So, uh, you know, and he's obviously worse than half PPR.
55:53He, there's more target competition this year than he had last year without Malik neighbors.
55:57But let's just be honest. Wandale is going to lead this team in targets.
56:01We saw it in the preseason. Like every fricking play was like a RPO bubble screen to Wanda Robinson.
56:07Does it work? It doesn't, but, um, it seems like they're pretty pot committed to it.
56:11Okay. Moving on. Chris Godwin is your wide receiver 40.
56:14Talk to me. Chris Godwin is wide receiver 31 in consensus rankings this week.
56:18So this is one of the spots that you are.
56:21Way lower than the market on a player. Yeah.
56:23This is assuming a Mecca is cleared and gets like in full, full practices.
56:27I thought Chris Godwin took a huge step back.
56:30Matt Harmon on reception perception had him like, and by the way, Matt absolutely loves Chris Godwin.
56:35But even last year, like bottom six percentile in like the zone stuff, bottom 16th percentile against man coverage.
56:40So it was just like a complete fall off.
56:43We'll see if he bounces back with a full off season.
56:46In theory, he's best, uh, early in the season.
56:48The Bengals defense is way worse than the nickel with their linebackers and safeties than it is with DJ Turner.
56:54So you can squint and see how this like a good spot for Chris Godwin.
56:58They're, uh, expected to lose by three and a half points, potential shootout.
57:02So, uh, maybe I'll move them up a little bit, but I do think that a Mecca is just so much better than Chris Godwin.
57:09At this point, I want my rankings to reflect that.
57:12All right. I'm going to throw 41 plus up there on the board.
57:15That includes Cortland Sutton, Jaden Reed, Josh Downs, Carnell Tate, you know, just the number four overall pick as a wide receiver 44 in his debut.
57:23Jalen Coker, uh, Trey Tucker. I believe this is Romeo Dobbs.
57:26And we'll close things out with Michael Pittman Jr.
57:28Talk about one name on that final row. Um, let's go with, man, how about, how about Jalen Coker?
57:34Uh, I do think Jalen Coker is somebody that, um, was maybe a little bit discounted.
57:38He was the wide receiver 34, uh, last year after he got into the starting lineup, uh, he had like a busted
57:44coverage, long touchdown stuff and kind of inflated some of his numbers.
57:48But at the same time, he's, he's a reliable player to me inside, outside versus little heat.
57:53Like you said, he also moved into the slot.
57:55This is a good matchup for him. Uh, if Jalen Johnson is back up, uh, as a legit cornerback one, the rest
58:01of their corners, I think are very gettable. And I think that would help out Jalen Coker here.
58:06I guess the other one would be Trey Tucker.
58:09He is the Raiders. Number one wide receiver. Most likely is the Miami dolphins defense, who I think you and I can
58:15go out there in a tryout and compete to start at corner.
58:18Uh, so I think he'd be kind of a dart throw.
58:22Uh, at the same time, I think in general, people overrates this level of wide receiver tier and starting lineups.
58:27The crap running back that you have projects better than these wide receivers.
58:31Like, I think we're far away from wide receiver threes.
58:34Once we get to this point, and if you're trying to get these guys into your flex over Chris Rodriguez, something like
58:40that, I think you're out of your mind. Like this is where like, to me, the running backs are so much better.
58:46The projections, uh, back that up. So I think these guys are like bench stashes.
58:50Cause I really hope you don't have to start Trey Tucker and your wider receiver three spot.
58:55I don't know what you were doing, uh, in draft weekend.
58:58I'll throw out Josh Downs as well. I mean, every single fantasy show next Monday, Tuesday, Sunday night is going to react
59:04to Josh Downs usage in this game. I mean, spoke all summer about two wide receiver sets, a role increase, everything of
59:11the sort, uh, through three NFL seasons, he's run only 33 routes and one in two wide receiver sets.
59:16I guess my question is, can he win as a stationary, very wide receiver?
59:20Like even his one and two wide receiver set suffers outside stuff.
59:23Last year, he was kind of motioned into stacks and given free releases.
59:27And so if he is constantly again on the move here to me, Shane's second is kind of telling, you know, he
59:33doesn't believe he can, but we'll see. Um, Josh Downs is the favorite of every single fancy football show out there.
59:39And, uh, hopefully he can be better than the wire super 42 in the opener.
59:43Yeah. We'll see the, the Raven is not a good spot for him.
59:47Like Kyle Hamilton is going to be, playing nickel and whatnot.
59:50Like if, if that's the case, it's, it's going to be tough.
59:54Uh, Nate Wiggins, a good corner, uh, number one.
59:56And then Marlon Humphrey, I think he's getting to the point where he's pretty gettable.
60:00Uh, so I think there could be some Josh Downs versus Marlon Humphrey, but if it's Kyle Hamilton versus Josh Downs, he's
60:07just going to like completely swallowed up. And that's the fear.
60:10Uh, okay. That does it. Thanks for tuning in for wide receiver one through wide receiver 48.
60:14Again, you can check on Hayden's updated rankings all weekend long.
60:18They're in the description down below. They're also on Yahoo, all that type of stuff.
60:22And then we'll be back here Sunday morning, starting at 10 30 AM Eastern with face football live.
60:27And then we'll switch over to an hour plus of the start, sit show where we answer all your questions.
60:32So lock in and we'll see you then up the villa.
60:36Talk to you guys soon.
