The source likes Mike Davis at +5.5 points (-185) as a parlay piece or straight bet, noting he is a more aggressive, faster, and dynamic athlete than Nourillo Aliyev. The source believes Davis wins a round and avoids being finished at a high percentage, suggesting fair odds for the +5.5 line should be closer to -230 (70%).

Sean Zerilla believes Davis's +5.5 point spread at -185 is mispriced and should be closer to -230, making it a strong parlay piece or straight bet.

0:00Hey, this is Hayes Davenport and Sean Clements. We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook.
0:04Each week we talk to someone in show business and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us.
0:12Everyone has a good time and no one gets mad at their publicist for letting them do our show.
0:18We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, Adam Scott, Danny McBride, Ben Stiller, and a lot of other big
0:25shots that wouldn't be where they are without us.
0:28Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
0:33On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
0:38I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle.
0:44I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinheiro, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first.
0:53I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility.
0:57Listen to Solita on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
1:02I'm Hoda Kotb, host of the podcast. Our hometown is not a test tube.
1:0690 miles northeast of Nashville, a battle for the future of America plays out in one small town.
1:12Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land.
1:15We need cities on a shining hill. This is Our Town, a podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the
1:22site of a social experiment and fights back. Guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you?
1:29Listen to Our Town on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
1:34Did you hear the new episode of the Hey Jonas podcast?
1:38We are at D23, so we'll see who stops by.
1:41The cast of Frozen stopped by. Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel.
1:45I auditioned for Frozen. What? For Kristoff. They said, okay, what are you going to be singing today?
1:51I said, I don't know. That must have been why you didn't get it.
1:55Oh, you probably won. Plus, John Stamos, Hayden Christensen from Star Wars, and more.
1:59And I guess I can share that, uh... No way.
2:02The Action Network Podcast. Podcast. Podcast. If you are even remotely a savage, you'll run these people over in a second.
2:09Oh! Hello and welcome to the Action Network Podcast, UFC betting preview.
2:13I'm your host, Sean Zerilla, joined today by Billy Ward to help you break down this weekend's card for UFC Abu Dhabi.
2:20Give your best bets, favorite underdogs, top props, and more.
2:23If you'd like to instantly tell some of the bets that we discussed on today's show, look for the quick slip link
2:30in the podcast and video descriptions, or visit actionnetwork.com slash bet now.
2:33Early start time this weekend, 13 fight card from Abu Dhabi, the Etihad Arena.
2:38Prelims at 9 a.m. Eastern. Main card, six fight main card at noon Eastern.
2:42Eastern main event, Magomed and Klaiv about minus 550 going up against Bogdan.
2:46Guskov, light heavyweight fight, five rounds. Guskov coming in off of a draw against Jan Belhovich.
2:51Ankalayev coming in off of a knockout loss to Alex Poetan-Pereira for the light heavyweight title.
2:56That was his first title defense after beating Poetan by unanimous decision.
3:00So coming back here in Abu Dhabi, hoping to get back on track and get back in the title picture.
3:06But Guskov largely been overachieving, winning a bunch of fights as an underdog on his way up the light heavyweight ladder.
3:13Competitive for three rounds with Belhovich. This will be his first venture and first foray into a five-round fight.
3:19Normally a very fast starter. You'll see to the way Billy is betting this bout.
3:24And I don't disagree in terms of Billy's approach here.
3:27Billy likes Guskov to potentially get off to a hot start.
3:30But a longer fight should favor Ankalayev and his five-round experience and his more well-rounded skill set.
3:35And overall, if it does extend, I like Ankalayev.
3:38Over one and a half rounds on a same-game parlay with Ankalayev.
3:42Pays out around even money. Roughly minus 105. Ankalayev by decision is plus 440.
3:46Made sprinkle the decision prop. I will certainly play the over one and a half with Ankalayev, though, in an SGP.
3:53Right around evens. That's how I would approach this fight.
3:56Billy's going to take an alternative approach, though, and go with some early finish props for Bogdan.
4:01Round one is plus 1800. Round two is plus 2500.
4:05And then I'd imagine, Billy, you'll be looking for a live entry point on Ankalayev if he's still around after the first 10 minutes or so.
4:13So tell me about your betting approach for this fight, how you landed on these props, and how you see it playing out.
4:20Yeah. Frustratingly, for it being an early card, I feel like this is actually a weirdly good live betting card.
4:26Which I don't like to give out when some of these fights are starting at 9 a.m.
4:32Eastern. You know, if we got a listener in California at 6 a.m.
4:36their time. Probably not up firing off live bets unless they're real hardcore, which if you are, we love you for that.
4:43I'll be up. Get the smoker going Saturday morning.
4:45That's my ritual anytime we have early UFC is smoke some large piece of meat since I'm up early anyway.
4:52Anyway, with all that said, Sean, I don't think Guskov's going to do it.
4:56But if he was going to do it, it'd be one of the first two rounds, right?
5:01Like, that's the only shot he has. He was originally supposed to rematch Yanni Blackjacks after their draw next week or two weeks from now, something like that.
5:10They pulled him from that one because Ankalayev needed an opponent.
5:14I'm pretty sure he knows. He's not, you know, built for a five-round fight against a much more technical fighter.
5:20He's going to come out here, throw them things, hope one of them lands.
5:24It probably won't if he lands and doesn't finish Ankalayev and we can get a better price on Big Onk.
5:30Absolutely would love a live bet. Not sure that the price ever gets any better.
5:35It certainly wouldn't shock me if Ankalayev kind of dominated from the opening bell until he eventually gets him out of there.
5:42But that's my logic here. You know, very long shot, light sprinkles.
5:46I looked at the under one and a half in Guskov, same game parlay.
5:50That was plus 900, which this is kind of, I think, better because you're getting a better average price and getting an
5:57extra two and a half minutes late in round two.
6:00Obviously, you would lose one of the bets if you win one of them, even in this situation.
6:06So the math isn't super clean. But something like that, you know, Guskov early into Ankalayev live if it's there.
6:12And if Ankalayev dominates the whole time, I'll have a ton of him in DFS and that's how I'll get my exposure to this fight.
6:20Goblakovich going to fight Navajo Sterling next week. Good shout out by you pointing out Guskov not only moved up a week,
6:27but he was also not training for a five round fight.
6:30So first attempted five rounds was not getting a camp to prepare for five rounds.
6:35Maybe he comes out ultra hot, like you say, maybe he comes out conservatively in an attempt to actually maintain some gas
6:42in the event that it does go to an extended bout.
6:45But for that reason, over one and a half with Ankalayev, you know, certainly like the opinion that this can go deeper
6:52and would say there, you know, is quantifiable value on Ankalayev's decision prop, given how high it is.
6:58But the over one and a half in a fight where the challenger, the underdog has not trained for five rounds, I
7:05think is certainly the more intelligent and logical approach there.
7:08Let's move on to the Koma event in our fight of the night between Ramazan, Tamarov and Steve Urceg in the flyweight division.
7:15I thought Tamarov was one of your guys, Billy.
7:18I was expecting you to pick him here. You're going to look for Urceg, though, at even money or better and also in the live market.
7:26I agree with Urceg live. Urceg has dropped a number of first rounds throughout his UFC run.
7:31I think he's lost all but two of them.
7:34Tamarov tends to be a hot starter. So the dynamics of this fight kind of dictate Urceg going to be looking to
7:41make his reads early, looking to avoid the dangerous power shots.
7:44He's four inches taller. He has a five inch reach advantage.
7:48He's going to gauge his range and distance, but he's going to look to protect his chin because he can be chinny.
7:55And he has gotten clipped quite a number of times in his UFC career.
7:59Tamarov, the smaller man, but packs more power. Urceg, the more technical fighter, the better grappler.
8:04This goes longer. It favors Urceg. But in terms of a projection and the market momentum, I actually make Tamarov closer to minus 125.
8:12So a small edge at around minus 115 where he is currently.
8:16I would take him small pre-fight at that number.
8:18And then I'll look for a live bet on Urceg after five minutes.
8:22After round one, I think Urceg will start to pick up his pace, mixing the grappling.
8:27We'll see how the fight plays out from there.
8:30But a small Tamarov pre-fight for me into a live bet on Urceg.
8:34Billy likes Urceg pre-fight at even money or better.
8:37And then he's also going to look to add more live.
8:41So I'm sure you noticed that trend in terms of Urceg dropping early minutes.
8:45Obviously, Tamarov tends to be a fast starter. Did I get those price targets right?
8:50And is it the five-minute mark that you're looking to come in live?
8:54Yeah, I don't have a great need to have Steve Urceg pre-fight.
8:57If it keeps moving and we get plus money on him, I might.
9:02I'm trying to not only give a live bet on any of these fights this morning or tonight for us as we record.
9:09But this morning, just in case you're not up, this will be Saturday afternoon.
9:13But you might have a life outside of just watching UFC fights on Saturday morning slash afternoon.
9:18You're not going to want to bet live. Right, you shouldn't.
9:22I mean, that's objectively wrong. But in case you do, I'd like to give everyone pre-fight looks on spots I prefer live.
9:29The one little pushback I'll give you, not because you were necessarily wrong.
9:33You said Tamarov had much more power. He did have much more power.
9:37And then he also popped for steroids and hasn't fought in like 15 months.
9:41And he's the level of expendable fighter that they're actually going to drug test and make sure isn't using stuff.
9:48Right? Like these are the guys we catch. So some of the more well-known names possibly could slip through.
9:54I'm not sure that that power carries or he looks anything like he did before.
9:58He'll probably be fine. Like, that's usually not that big of a difference.
10:02But it's enough of a factor that it got me off thinking he would finish Ursaic early.
10:08In which case, I'd be comfortable with Ursaic pre-fight.
10:10But if it keeps moving to plus money, it looks like since we made this sheet, it's bounced back a little bit.
10:17We're closer to a pick-em where Ursaic was getting the plus money.
10:21So you don't need to have anything pre-fight. That's my pick if you're going to.
10:26Otherwise, I think Ursaic live after the first round will almost certainly be a better price.
10:31Busy underdog section for us this week. And it's going to blend into the props a little bit as well.
10:37I've got some fights where I like the underdog and the inside-the-distance prop together in kind of a structured bet.
10:43I think both lines, or at least one of the two lines is wrong.
10:48We'll get there in a moment. The dog that I showed the biggest edge on this week, Damian Ripecki, going up against Magomed Zainikov in the lightweight division.
10:56Ripecki taking him at about plus 240. And then the point spread plus 5.5 as well.
11:02Because I do think a lot of these fighters who are going up against the fighters from the Middle East are going
11:08to get difficulty in terms of winning decisions in close rounds.
11:12So I want to have some points spread coverage this week in addition to some money lines on some of these dogs too.
11:19I believe this fight is lined around a pick-em to reach a decision.
11:23And you're getting one of them closer north of 2-1, well north of 2-1 in a fight where I make Damian Ripecki closer to plus 170.
11:31So I'd bet him down to a rep plus 190, plus 200.
11:35And then also take his point spread, the plus 5.5 in a fight between a couple, I believe, a couple of unbeaten lightweights.
11:42Do you have any thoughts on this bout, Billy?
11:45I do. I actually have a prop on this one.
11:48So this is one of the ones we're blending.
11:51I am betting on this fight to end by either fighter submission at plus 500.
11:56That's via FanDuel, it's a little bit higher there.
11:59I came into this thinking that I would like Ripecki by submission.
12:02He seems to be more of a grappler from what I've seen.
12:06He lists his foundation as kickboxing. He said he did that when he was younger.
12:11But Chenko, or John Pork, as we're calling Zainukov at this point for some reason, is, despite being from Dagestan, he's more of a striker.
12:19He said he wants to prove that Dagestani can do Muay Thai and all that.
12:23I think Ripecki will look to grapple here. I could also see him grappling self into trouble.
12:29Even if you're a kickboxer from Dagestan, you're going to accidentally learn some grappling and be no slouch on the mats.
12:35And he does have some submission wins. So a little bit of a long shot sprinkle.
12:40But I really like that at plus 500. Again, that's FanDuel.
12:44Most places have plus 400. I would still take the plus 400.
12:47But that would be more of a, you know, just to have some interest in this fight.
12:53The plus 500, I think, is actually a good edge.
12:56Yeah, I feel pretty confident. If it doesn't end via sub, that Ripecki is going to win at least one of these
13:03rounds and cover that plus five and a half point spread.
13:06So definitely like that, the money line. And then Billy taking a shot on the fight ends by submission prop in a
13:13bout, as I said, between a couple of unbeaten lightweight.
13:16Is this John Pork's official UFC debut? It is.
13:19He won on Contender Series. Ripecki was signed straight from regionals.
13:22So looking forward to this one. Feels like a little bit of a glorified Contender Series fight, but these guys are actually quite talented.
13:30And both are probably worth signing directly from their regionals.
13:33They just made John Pork's guy or Khabib's guy go through Contender Series.
13:37Thomas Pedersen about plus 145, plus 150 going up against Walter Walker.
13:41I see Pedersen actually as high as plus 165, then also the fight to end inside the distance at minus 170.
13:48Can Walter Walker snatch another leg this week? He's done four straight.
13:51Pedersen, Juco National Wrestling Champion. Seen some pretty decent ground game stuff from him.
13:56It's just on the feet. He tends to be up against it, especially against these other heavyweights.
14:01This is not the matchup though, where I really worry about him eating a big power shot on the feet, not being competitive in the grappling.
14:09Just don't get your legs snatched. I know it sounds that simple.
14:13It's not against Walter Walker, but I just think Pedersen has more ways to win the fight.
14:18I think he can win control-based wrestling match where he gets on top and doesn't succumb to the leg locks.
14:24I think he could win with some cage pushing.
14:27I think he can win landing more striking volume on the feet.
14:31So I make him closer to plus 120 here.
14:34Walker more finishing upside, but Pedersen, I think much more decision equity.
14:38I would bet him down to about plus 130.
14:40And then I also like the fight to end inside the distance at minus 170.
14:45Just not sure how I'm going to structure those.
14:48I think one of those cashes, a very high probability of the time.
14:52I'm not sure if both of them cash together though as highly.
14:56So I think the ends inside the distance is sort of insurance for Pedersen because I do give him more decision equity.
15:03I'm going to figure out how I want to structure that in terms of a play.
15:08But Pedersen at around plus 165 down to plus 130 and then the fight to end inside the distance up to around minus 200.
15:15Two ways I would play Pedersen against Walter Walker.
15:18Billy, is he getting another heel hook this weekend?
15:21Am I just completely off base with the Pedersen look?
15:24I was going to say, that's all really well thought out.
15:27And I can tell you put a lot of research into it.
15:31But Walter Walker is just going to heel hook another dude.
15:35I came on here on this very show. It's fine.
15:38I came on this very show like three straight times.
15:41I was like, it's not that hard to just not get heel hooked by a dude that you know only wants to heel hook you.
15:49Right? Like if you're worried about other things, maybe not getting heel hooked is hard.
15:53You know, I get that. I could very well go out and get heel hooked myself at any given point.
16:00But Walter Walker is just going to heel hook you.
16:03He's heel hooked everyone he has competed against in any way, shape or form, except for Zion Clark at Karate Combat.
16:09Do you know who Zion Clark is, Sean Zerlo?
16:12I don't. Zion Clark has no legs. So that was the only person he was unable to heel hook was a torso
16:19with arms named Zion Clark who competes in grappling.
16:22And Walter Walker made a great show of it.
16:25He was falling back for the legs. And where's his leg?
16:28What do I do? And then he reneged and choked him.
16:32But yeah, it doesn't make any sense. It's stupid.
16:34It's the squarest bet ever. But I'm just waiting for those specific submission props and betting on Walter Walker by heel hook because it's inevitable.
16:42I apologize to Zion Clark. I actually do know who Zion Clark is.
16:46I just I didn't know him by the full name.
16:49I just know him from the documentary Zion. But yeah, we're checking out that film.
16:54Extremely inspirational human being. But yeah, a little hard to heel hook a guy who doesn't have heels.
17:00So Walter Walker, just avoid the heel hook. Thomas Patterson, don't get taken down.
17:04Don't end up in a scramble. Be safe, my man.
17:07But if you are going to lose the fight, please do get finished.
17:11That way I push on it at minimum. See if you can get Zion into the camp to give you some tricks on not getting heel hook.
17:20That might be the way to go. So anything you can do to gain an edge over Walter Walker this weekend.
17:26Actually, awkwardly looking forward to that fight. Happy to have some heavyweights back on the card.
17:31I feel like it's been a while since we've had a bunch of heavyweight fights.
17:36So looking forward to this weekend's card. I think this is a pretty decent offering.
17:41I'm actually anticipating waking up early for some of these bouts.
17:44Even though most of my takes are kind of backloaded towards the middle and the rear end of the card.
17:51So if you are tailing my bets this weekend, fortunately for you, you may not have to wake up until closer to 11 a.m.
17:58Because I think the second half of the card is where the majority of my action is going to lie.
18:04One of those fights, Muhammad Saeed at about plus 145 going up against Dustin Jacoby in the light heavyweight division.
18:11Same structure here for me as the Pedersen fight.
18:13I like the underdog and I like the fight to end inside the distance.
18:18Saeed around plus 155. Fight ends inside the distance around minus 150.
18:22Saeed, I believe, signed directly from UAE Warriors. He trains with Sergey Pavlovich.
18:26I believe Maghavan and Goliath, like pretty decent UFC level training partners.
18:29Jacoby getting up there in age. I think 39 now.
18:33Just the durability starting to slip a little bit.
18:35Favor him in a more extended fight. But I do think Saeed has the youth and durability on his side.
18:42I make this fight right over to pick him.
18:44Plus 110. I would bet Saeed at plus 155 down to around plus 120.
18:49And then the ends inside the distance. I like up to around minus 170.
18:53I make that closer to minus 190. Billy, do you have any thoughts or bets on this light heavyweight bout?
18:59Yeah. A quick shout out to Brad in the Action Network Discord who pointed out that this might be the hardest fighter
19:06to ever Google because his name is phonetically Mohammed Said.
19:09So you just get a murder. Quirin Croats rather than the fighter.
19:13I actually didn't look a ton into this one because it was so hard to figure out who exactly Mohammed Saeed is.
19:20His topology lists him as born in Moscow, fighting out of Moscow, but has a UAE flag.
19:25UFC.com says he's from Dagestan. Any number of people could show up to fight Dustin Jacoby this weekend and I wouldn't be totally shocked.
19:33So mostly staying away from this one. It is weird to see the local or local-ish, depending on where he's actually from
19:40fighter, come in as an underdog, which is interesting here.
19:43Like so many of these cards are stacked heavily for the local side.
19:47So interested in that. Jacoby's been on a good run recently.
19:51I think you're right in that at 39, that durability is going to fall off a cliff kind of all at once.
19:57So we'll see how it goes. I'm intrigued by this fight mainly to learn who exactly Mohammed Saeed actually is.
20:04Yeah, listed on UFC.com is Mohammed Saeedov. They got the OV on there.
20:08And if you're going to add an OV onto a name of anybody in this region, I know their win probability probably
20:15increases by 10 to 20% implied, especially if it's going to end up going to a decision.
20:20So if he's competing as Mohammed Saeedov on Saturday, bump up is implied win probability if it's just Mohammed Saeed.
20:26I'm slightly less interested in firing a Moneyline bet.
20:29But if you come in with the OV or the EV attached on the name, definitely, I mean, Magomed, Zanikov, you know, John Pork already betting against him.
20:38But if he's going by John Pork, does he have the OV on the name?
20:43It's up for debate, right? One fighter you're taking a shot against because he does not have an OV on his name
20:49is Nourillo Aliyev with the EV attached slightly less strong than the OV family of the Magomedovs.
20:55The Mokkachevs, though, you know, still pretty worthy in this area of regional MMA.
20:59But we both like Mike Davis this weekend. In terms of different wagers, Davis plus five and a half points, minus 185.
21:06I think he wins a round and doesn't get finished at very high percentage of the time.
21:11I think that fair odds on that line should probably be closer to at least minus 230 and 70%, if not even higher than that.
21:19So I like Davis plus five and a half at minus 185 as a part lay piece, as a potential straight bet.
21:26But you also like Davis plus 205 in the money line.
21:30And then in the finish only market at minus 125.
21:33Interested in how you think he gets this done, whether it's by knockout or submission?
21:37Do you think he has a grappling advantage here he's going to exploit?
21:41What are your thoughts on this bout? Because I thought the money line was relatively okay, but I do think he wins
21:48a round in a fight that I believe is lying to go to a decision.
21:53Yeah, I think the finish only is probably my favorite.
21:56Aliyev finished his opponent on the Contender Series. That is his only finished victory since 2018.
22:01His third fight is a pro. It comes out from a karate school that I'm actually familiar with.
22:07They hosted a fight that I competed at when I was a pro like 10 years ago.
22:12They put through the event, basically. And they're like point fighter karate style guys who transitioned to MMA.
22:18And they do really well winning decisions and outpointing guys, you know, from a distance, landing lighter shots.
22:23Mike Davis is much more aggressive. I think a notably stronger and faster athlete in this matchup.
22:29Probably knockout would be more likely, but he's got some submission wins in his record.
22:33I think a little bit of a club and sub on at least one of those, maybe both of those.
22:40I don't remember exactly. I think he knocked down Natan Levy before submitting him.
22:44Either way, just the more dynamic fighter who is actually actively out there hunting submissions.
22:49And I really like your bet for that same reason because it just needs one moment in one round effectively to cover that.
22:56If Aliyev is trying to win via points and via, you know, smart technical outside fighting.
23:01Davis has one big moment and doesn't get finished the rest of the fight.
23:05That might cover that in, you know, a 10 second span might be all he needs to do.
23:11So like all three of those, as you were saying with the heavyweight fight, not exactly sure how I'm going to end up structuring this.
23:19You can obviously go a little bit bigger on the finish only lines because those get refunded if the fight goes to a decision no matter who wins.
23:28So we'll have probably some of all three of those coming into that fight.
23:32Always been a big fan of Mike Davis, Beast Boy.
23:35Just never that active, never really fights more than one or two times a year.
23:40Pretty in his mid-30s now, I think his potential chance at not a title run, but like a run up the rankings
23:47of the lightweight division, getting himself in the title mix.
23:50You know, I think that's probably past him at this point, but hopefully he has some fun fights and some fun wins left in his career.
23:58Really well-rounded fighter, good athlete, fun guy. Hoping the best for him this weekend and hopefully we can cash a few tickets on his fight against Arul Aliyev.
24:07A couple of dogs you like. Prop I like on one of these fights as well.
24:12Let's start with the straight dog, Abubakar Vagayev, about minus 265.
24:15Going up against your pick, Sigid Izagakmaev, around plus 220.
24:18Vagayev, a good wrestler. Izagakmaev has gassed out later in this fight, struggled with his cardio against Nicholas Dalby.
24:24He's good power though, could definitely win some big moments in this fights.
24:28Maybe he needs one round on technicality and then one round in terms of a big moment, like a knockdown.
24:35Probably has success early in this fight. If he has it at all, I would look for a live bet potentially in Vagayev maybe after round one.
24:43But what are your thoughts on the cardio dynamic here?
24:46And how do you think he gets it done, Billy?
24:49Expecting a finish or do you think he wins on points?
24:53I could see either way. The cardio dynamic, I guess the pushback I would give is that everyone kind of looks like
25:00they have bad cardio when they fight Nick Dalby.
25:02Sure. Which was the only fight we've seen him in the UFC.
25:06Lost a split decision, was close. I was personally very glad to see Dalby get one back against a Russian fighter when
25:13he was so badly robbed against Frenat Krakordinov a couple years prior to that.
25:18So basically my general thesis here is that I'm not going to download, downgrade Izagakmaev at all by losing a split decision to Nicholas Dalby.
25:25Probably one of the most underrated fighters of the last seven or eight years.
25:30That is Dalby. Tough out for everyone. Has big moments even when he loses, that kind of thing.
25:35Fights everybody close. Seems to have... Right, exactly. Izagakmaev seems to be working on his grappling.
25:40He did a grappling match at Karate Combat. Fought pretty tough opponents in one FC.
25:45Where his opponent has been fighting in lesser known regional promotions, ACA, which is another Middle Eastern one.
25:51But it's not UAE Warriors. It's not the premier one.
25:54So I just don't know. At 24 and 4, 33 years old, 19 of his 23 career wins are all by decision.
26:01Which isn't a great sign when you're fighting, especially in lower promotions.
26:05So I don't know a ton about him. Did not find any tape on Vagaev.
26:09But I just think Izagakmaev is generally undervalued here.
26:12Rizvan Kuniev about minus 320 going up against Tyrell Fortune at plus 260.
26:16Another heavyweight fight. We're going to bleed in a little bit here to our props section because I like Kuniev by decision about plus 155.
26:24Not a huge edge. I make his decision prop though closer to plus 135.
26:28Show a small edge on his money line as well.
26:31This fight is lying to go to a decision.
26:34He's the local fighter. He's going to be landing more strikes.
26:38Fortune going to be doing a little bit more wrestling.
26:41They do tend to give a little bit more deference to scoring to takedowns in this area of the world than they are now in the United States.
26:50And in other areas where they're emphasizing damage. Wrestling, grappling still gets a little bit more deference in the Middle East, in my opinion.
26:57I think it does anyway. Maybe it's getting phased out a little bit over time.
27:02But overall, Kuniev should land a little bit more damage here over the course of 15 minutes and another fight.
27:08I believe it is lying to go to a decision.
27:11It should be considering his decision prop again is around plus 155.
27:15So take that down to around plus 140 between Kuniev and Fortune.
27:19And there is a way you could cash both that ticket and Billy's ticket because Billy's betting Fortune plus three and a half at around plus 110.
27:27Billy is the worry that you're going to get robbed on the scorecards if you take the money.
27:33Yeah, 100%. And hopefully it's robbed to an extent that still covers the point spread because we've had some of those where
27:40it was 30-27 written down before the fight started when Renat Fakardinov lost to Nicholas Dalby.
27:45Which is the one that you and I will both come back to probably every six months for the rest of our lives.
27:52I think Fortune's pretty good. I mean, he's a D1 wrestler.
27:55I want to say D1 All-American. He's 39. So that was, or 36.
27:59So that was quite some time ago. So he's also a lot bigger than Kuniev.
28:04He weighed in about 20 pounds heavier than Kuniev did the last time both of them fought.
28:09Decent reach edge, if I'm not mistaken. Fortune is 75 and a half inches.
28:14No, Kuniev 76. So pretty much same reach. But the weight is going to matter a lot if he is able to get takedowns.
28:21We saw Kuniev deny takedowns from Giants and Almeida, but Almeida was basically just a juiced up light heavyweight.
28:27And Fortune, in a similar matchup against Marcin Tybura, was able to get three takedowns and win a decision despite getting outstruck overall.
28:35I think Kuniev, to an extent, is similar to Marcin Tybura.
28:38Faster on the feet, but same size and frame.
28:41Similar level of grappling. I think that path is there.
28:44And hopefully the plus three and a half at plus money covers any shenanigans in terms of a split decision.
28:50Because you technically can lose those on split decisions, and we have if it goes 30-27 both ways against you.
28:56So we will see, but we just need a couple judges in here to not be too biased.
29:02On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
29:07I can wait four hours for the next bus, or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle.
29:14I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinheiro, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first.
29:22I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility.
29:27Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people, and they were like, you smiled at us.
29:32Not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is,
29:39and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind, or
29:46wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your
29:53first trip, I hope you listen to Solita on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
29:59I'm Hoda Kotb, host of the podcast Joy 101 with Hoda Kotb.
30:03If you know me, you know I'm always searching for inspiration and useful tools to maximize joy.
30:08So this podcast lets us uncover those things together through meaningful conversations with fascinating people.
30:13Like when my friend Henry Winkler offered advice to aspiring actors and really anybody hoping to stand out.
30:19You're not hired just to fill time and space.
30:22You're hired to fill the space with you. You have something in your guts.
30:26You go with it. And Shawn Johnson recalled the moment she realized her now husband, Andrew, was the one.
30:32He was just so unapologetically himself and knew nothing of Hollywood.
30:35He hadn't been on a plane before without his family.
30:39It was so pure. Listen to Joy 101 with Hoda Kotb on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
30:46Our town is small taters by most standards, right?
30:49But to the people who grew up here, it's everything.
30:52What happens when a quiet Tennessee town becomes the front line in a battle over the future of America?
30:58Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land in the area.
31:02The first thing you see when it pops up is pioneers in Appalachia.
31:06But they weren't just planting houses. We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and embody the Christian way of life.
31:13Stop right there. Is that normal? A podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment.
31:20God need men to rule. Great. And decides to fight back.
31:23Do not use my hard work to sell your bull****.
31:26They're not just opposing what's being planned for here.
31:29Our hometown is not a test tube. They feel like they're standing in opposition to an entire administration.
31:35Guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you?
31:39Listen to Our Town on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
31:44Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. And Sean Clements. We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook on the Big Money Players Network.
31:51Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. Each week, we talk to someone in show business, a.k.a.
31:56the biz, and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us.
32:02Everyone has a good time, and no one gets mad at their publicist for letting them do our show.
32:08We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman.
32:11Not that great. Actually, can you help me shape this?
32:14How about we flip it on his head? How about we flip the script?
32:18Okay. What if the surprise woman, who actually you think is the straight man, is actually the one who's acting weird?
32:25Adam Scott. This entire time, you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show.
32:30I would never expect. Let go of that. I have.
32:33I would never set expectations for something like that to happen.
32:37It seems like you did. If the universe allows for something like that to happen, I'm open to it.
32:43I'm always going to accept. Okay. Danny McBride, fine.
32:45Yeah. It's all this fragile masculinity. Mm-hmm. Exuding. I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you.
32:52Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I was like, is that weed? Nope.
32:55It's fragile masculinity. Mm-hmm. Yep. Ben Stiller, no. Because a lot of times, out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is.
33:03You know what I mean? They're so stupid. Everyone's so dumb except for you.
33:08And fake. Right. Fake and also not interested or just like, oh, I've got my life.
33:13I don't care about your life. And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us.
33:19Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on
33:26every episode, but he's just so busy. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
33:33Did you hear the new episode of the Hey Jonas podcast?
33:37We are at D23, so we'll see who stops by.
33:40The cast of Frozen stopped by. Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel.
33:44I auditioned for Frozen. What? For Kristoff. They said, okay, what are you going to be singing today?
33:50I said, I don't know. That must have been why you didn't get it.
33:54Oh, you probably won. Plus, John Stamos, Hayden Christensen from Star Wars, and more.
33:58And I guess I can share that, uh... No way.
34:02Listen to the latest episode of Hey Jonas on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

34:54With that, let's move on to our remaining top props for this weekend's card.
34:59Some of these are going to bleed into our best and final bets as well.
35:04Let's start off with the biggest favorite on the card.
35:07Second biggest favorite on the card. Biggest favorite on the card.
35:10Islam Doolatov at about minus 1,000, minus 1050, going up against the returning Wellington Terman, who is about plus 700.
35:16Doolatov, a fighter whose personal life section on his Wikipedia page is just as long as the fight section of his Wikipedia page.
35:24You can read that on your own. Bit of a controversial guy, but inside the cage.
35:29Very violent finisher. Nicknamed the Ripper. And I think this guy is somebody the UFC is looking to build up a highlight
35:35reel for as they elevate him up the welterweight ladder.
35:39His round one knockout prop, I saw his highs plus 118.
35:42Other books, it's juiced at minus 110, minus 115.
35:45Have never liked Wellington Terman's shin and coming off of a significant layoff.
35:49I think he's going to get clipped and put away relatively quickly.
35:53Do you have any thoughts on this fight, Billy?
35:56Yeah, this will obviously be a great DFS fight.
35:58Feels pretty safe. I think Doolatov will be pretty heavily owned as long as people can find cheap enough underdogs.
36:05But I wanted to knock Doolatov for inactivity. I mean, he's busy running a barber shop and being a fashion model and all those other things.
36:13But Wellington Terman hasn't fought in like almost three years.
36:16So if I'm going to use that as a disqualifying feature, it doesn't get me anywhere.
36:21So if you're pretty heavy on Doolatov for DFS and seeing your bet come in as KO1, that's exactly what I need for that playoff in DFS.
36:29So it made me feel a little better about it.
36:32Abdul Hussein, about minus 650 going up against Cody Gibson.
36:36Hussein, by KO, the prop that showed up as potential edge for me, making his UFC debut.
36:41This is a guy who's a former international amateur, European world champion, 8-0 as an amateur.
36:46KO'd Tyson Nam. Only loss, I believe, is to Mohamed Mikhaev.
36:49And he's facing a 38-year-old Cody Gibson who just got knocked out for the first time in his professional career.
36:56Been subbed a bunch as well. But again, another guy I think the UFC looking to build a highlight reel for and
37:03giving him an older fighter coming off of a bad knockout loss, bad and quick knockout loss for his UFC debut.
37:09So Hussein, by KO, I make plus 190. You can get that as high as plus 250.
37:14Do you have any thoughts on this fight, Billy?
37:17Yeah, interesting path to the UFC for Abdul Hussein, who of all places is allegedly at least born and trains out of Finland.
37:24Wouldn't have guessed that based on the name and being put on this card.
37:29His most recent professional fighting experience was a decision, a majority decision boxing match that he competed in in May, like just two months before his UFC debut.
37:38Before that, he knocked out Tyson Nam right around last Christmas.
37:41Had no idea Tyson Nam was still doing it.
37:44Tyson Nam, please don't go fight these young hitters anymore.
37:47You're 42 years old. Like, why are we doing this?
37:50I hope Tyson Nam's doing great. I loved him in his brief UFC and various combat sports career.
37:56So, yeah, no betting action on this for me.
37:59I just thought it was interesting that a guy had a boxing match less than two months before his UFC debut.
38:05That feels unwise. You probably knew you were getting the UFC call up here, but who knows?
38:11My two favorite post-COVID UFC knockouts. I mean, the Gaethje one, obviously, you know, goes without saying.
38:16Everybody's seen that. The Impa Kasang and I spinning back kick with his foot being held all-timer.
38:21My third is probably Tyson Nam knocking out Ode Osborne after Ode missed on a flying knee, and Tyson just waited for
38:28him to come down and clubbed him with the right hand and put him out immediately.
38:33It's one of my favorite knockout highlights ever. It's the example of, like, you know, why aren't these guys more aggressive sometimes?
38:40Tyson Nam saw that flying knee coming from a mile away, timed it the moment he hit the ground, just clubbed Ode to sleep.
38:47An absolutely hilarious knockout. Shout out to Tyson Nam.
38:50Love Tyson Nam. But, yes, that was just the fourth knockout of his professional career, and I believe the first time he'd
38:57been knocked out since, oh, man, I'm going real far back.
39:01That was the first time Tyson Nam had been knocked out since joining the UFC.
39:05Last time he got knocked out before getting knocked out by Abdul Hussain was 2013 when he was still in World Series of Fighting, I believe.
39:13So, kid definitely has some power. Curious to see how the UFC advances him within the Bantamweight division.
39:19A couple of fights that, like I said, are going to bleed into this prop and final bet section.
39:25So, let's talk about the finish prop that we both like, or the fighter that we like to finish.
39:31That's Sam Patterson at about minus 415 going up against Santiago Ponzinibbio.
39:35Yet another fight. UFC, in my opinion, just looking to give a highlight to a guy who has already had a bunch of finishes.
39:42Patterson looking excellent. At Walter White, way better than he did at 155.
39:46Seems to have filled out. Consistently finishing opponents. And I think the best aspect of his skill set is his grappling.
39:53And I think he's going to finish Santiago Ponzinibbio this weekend.
39:56And the sub prop is significantly higher than his knockout prop.
40:00Sub about plus 360. I make that closer to plus 275.
40:03I like that down to plus 300. And then Billy is taking his inside the distance prop here.
40:09What number did you get that, Billy? And what do you like that down to?
40:14Yeah, I'm saying the best is minus 185. I might cut that off by doing a little bit of SGP with under
40:21some number of minutes just to get a little better price.
40:24I'm with you in terms of Patterson strengthening his grappling.
40:27And I was kind of looking that way. It almost feels like the market wants you to think knockout when their submission is the sharper side.
40:35Ponzinibbio has never been submitted. This is, I believe, his 40th professional fight.
40:39I was really surprised by that. But he has been knocked out three, two times in his last three fights.
40:46Or two times in his last four. He has lost three of his last four.
40:50This is the first time since getting knocked out by Kevin Holland that he is fighting someone who is under the age of 39.
40:58Which is not a great sign. Like, they let him do the unc circuit, the age-appropriate matchmaking.
41:03And now they're like, all right, you had your fun.
41:06You know, you're going to build a highlight for someone else on your way back to the Spanish broadcast booth.
41:13Which always makes me think of old school like WWF and WCW when the Spanish announce table was getting destroyed.
41:19Because that's where Ponzinibbio sits now. He does a lot of the broadcasting for the Spanish side.
41:24So, I'm with you. I think it's probably the better side, especially at the price.
41:29But I'm just taking inside the distance at minus 180 or so to not have to worry about how he gets finished.
41:36Best bet or final bet for you? Probably final bet.
41:39I think my best bet is the Axel Sola angle that we'll talk about shortly.
41:44Yeah, let's talk about it right now. Axel Sola live after five minutes would be my best bet on this card, frankly.
41:50I think it's probably the best and most obvious angle to play here because Bonfim, Ishmael Bonfim, I wanted to make sure
41:57I had the right of the two Bonfim brothers.
42:00Ishmael Bonfim always struggles five minutes into his fights.
42:03We see it very consistently. Sola is really tough, but his striking defense is vulnerable.
42:08And I think he is going to take some damage in round one.
42:12If he survives that, he should take over the fight after five minutes.
42:16So, Axel Sola live after round one. Axel Sola to minus 200 or so small pre-fight, I think would be fine as well.
42:23And then Axel Sola by Cale, I make at line about plus 140.
42:27You can get his knockout prop at plus 180.
42:30I don't think he's going to want to mess around with Bonfim in the grappling even when Bonfim gets tired.
42:36Forge is taller, three-inch reach advantage, and a significant cardio edge for Axel Sola.
42:41Over Ishmael Bonfim, like him to get it done.
42:43Billy also likes him to get it done probably in the second or third rounds.
42:48Billy, you're going to take the Sola and over four and a half minutes prop right around even money.
42:54Is that the only way you're betting this fight, or do you have any other angles?
42:59Yeah, I'm looking a few different ways at this one.
43:02The live, as you pointed out, is probably the best possible option.
43:06I think there's a relatively decent likelihood that Bonfim flips the line at some point in the first round.
43:12Maybe it doesn't even last through the whole first round.
43:15We've seen that happen with him. He dominates the first round, and then with a minute left gets cracked, and it falls apart on him.
43:23I don't want to say Bonfim is a quitter.
43:26That's too strong of a word. And I put this in my full preview of this one, which you never would have guessed was the fight I did.
43:34But he seems like a guy who, if he doesn't just blow you away right away, he doesn't really have a second option.
43:42He's kind of fine with just getting out of there one way or the other if he doesn't just overwhelm you immediately,
43:48which for most of his career he did, and then you get to the UFC, it's not there.
43:54Dan Tom has, in his southpaw report, he's 1-2 against lefties.
43:58Not a great sign against a very left-handed Axel Sola, who has a karate stance and fights long.
44:03He's also 0-1 against Frenchmen, having lost to Benoit Saint-Denis.
44:06So probably not as important. That's a hat tip to me for noticing that one.
44:11But also not a good sign. So live is my favorite.
44:14I like the over, you know, over one round effectively if you need this pre-fight, because this one is a little bit earlier in the day.
44:23Another interesting one, if you throw knockout onto the over 4.5 SGP, because those are theoretically anti-correlated, you can get a much better price.
44:30Or even just finish it all. So I will have some split among those.
44:35I think the over 4.5 with the finish might be the most fun way to bet it, because you're betting on basically
44:41getting all of the second and third round rolled into one bet instead of doing the slip props.
44:47Gabriel Bonfim, his brother, showed pretty good cardio in his win, main event win over Boulam Mohamed, going all 25 minutes.
44:54Ishmael Bonfim is consistently, as I said, struggling with the cardio, but does not have the worst cardio in the division.
45:00Do you know who his two UFC wins are over?
45:03I know one of them is Terrence McKinney. It is Terrence McKinney.
45:07The other is over a, I believe at the time, 40-year-old Vince Bichelle.
45:11Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. No, I will say... Not the best resume, I was going to say, in terms of the UFC wins.
45:18Those are, in hindsight, have not aged particularly well.
45:21Go ahead. Yeah, I don't think it's like cardio in the physical sense of like, he couldn't go run for a long time or whatever.
45:29I think it's more mental in terms of just not really feeling like he can...
45:34If he can't finish you, he's just like, yeah, I don't know what to do now.
45:39And we saw Axel Sola just go to war with Mason Jones in his last fight.
45:44I should say, Axel Sola, one and one against former Cage Warriors champs.
45:48He is a Aries FC champ, so the England versus France battle remains unsettled for now from Axel Sola.
45:54Maybe we'll get the Mason Jones rematch. But yeah, to your point, Gabriel, I don't think his cardio is better.
46:00I think he just doesn't quit as easily or is more prepared mentally to go long.
46:05Also worth pointing out, the first fight with Vince Fischel for Bonfim was canceled because Bonfim missed by three and a half pounds.
46:12And then his recent loss against Chris Padilla, he missed by five pounds at lightweight.
46:17So, you know, not sure how dedicated he is, how prepared he is.
46:21Just wants to be kind of a big bully and knock people out.
46:25And then when that doesn't happen, not a great backup plan.
46:29Will be interesting to see the weigh-in. So it's probably what, like 2 a.m.
46:33Friday morning or something? I haven't looked to see when they eventually happen.
46:37I'll pull that up in one second. Before we get to the fight, I believe there's just one fight we haven't touched
46:44on as of yet that we'll touch on before we get out of here.
46:48Just wanted to clarify because we did talk about the Walter Walker fight.
46:52You are betting Walker by submission. And if you can find it, you're going to bet him by heel hook?
46:59I'm probably going to wait to see the heel hook line as long as that comes up.
47:04They don't have too many of the exact submissions.
47:07If not, yeah, I guess submission at 150 is fine.
47:10I might just sit it out. At this point, it's just more of a bit.
47:15And I've been wrong betting against him to get a heel hook enough times that I'm going to lean into it.
47:21And if that snaps the streak, that's fine. Like we need one heavyweight to know how to defend a heel hook to keep my sanity.
47:29I'm curious about how you're going to use that fight from a DFS perspective and then also this fight from a DFS
47:36perspective because there's so many big favorites on the card.
47:39One of which, second biggest favorite on the card, Magomed Chuchalov going up against Brenton Ribeiro.
47:44Chuchalov about minus 800 in the light heavyweight division.
47:47Ribeiro, one of the biggest glass cannons in the UFC, has lost eight of his 10 career losses by finish.
47:53And it seems like he's just swinging hard. And the moment he gets clipped once big, he ends up crumbling.
47:59What are you doing this fight? As I said, from a DFS perspective, how heavily are you going to use all of the favorites?
48:07Like rank the favorites in your priority order for me, or at least the bigger favorites in your priority order for me
48:14in terms of using them for DFS this week.
48:17And then if you have any thoughts from a betting perspective on this fight as well.
48:22Yeah, from a betting perspective, I'll start with that while I pull up the salaries because I don't know I'm all off
48:29the top of my head just yet. But I believe Brenton Ribeiro is one of those guys that we're not entirely confident
48:35genuinely wants to win these fights for various reasons.
48:38Interesting that both of these guys fought Kyle Machado, if anyone remembers him, the Canadian lawyer who was briefly in the UFC.
48:45Chuchalov is coming off a two-minute knockout win over him.
48:48And Brenton Ribeiro beat him by split decision in one of his two UFC wins, against the other being the Kimura over
48:55Dayar Nurgazeh, which kind of no one expected, but Dayar has been a weird guy in the UFC.
49:01Yes. It's tough here. To get back to the DFS question, it really depends on what underdogs you want to play and therefore leave salary for, right?
49:09So if you want to go more balanced, you're not getting up to the huge favorites like the Doolatovs.
49:15Doolatov is 9,800, so the highest they ever do is 99, and he's pretty much right there.
49:21You'd love to have Doolatov. Doolatov is 9,700. You kind of can't play them both unless you really want to play a
49:27Ruzveki, as you mentioned, a Tyrell Fortune, as I came up with, is a Gokmijev, and you kind of have to fit
49:34all three of those in to get those heavy favorites.
49:37So looking at it, the ownership will probably be heavier on like the Sam Patterson, John Port, maybe even Kunayev range.
49:44I think if you go middle of the road with four or five of your picks, it'll probably be pretty contrarian and be a good GPP option.
49:52I'm like one of the few people who loves UFC cash games.
49:56I think it's the best fantasy product that exists in the world, and I'm one of like three people that think that.
50:03But if you can get Tyrell Fortune, Izagakmijev, squeeze in one of those two heavy favorites, I guess I'm a little bit
50:10more confident in Doolatov than Tuchelov, but it really almost comes down to variance and who gets the win quicker.
50:16You want the win in the first minute or like the last 10 seconds of the first round because you get the
50:23bonus for the first minute, but the speed doesn't matter within there.
50:27So you're almost flipping a coin. I guess I'd feel a little bit better about Doolatov getting it right away against a
50:34guy who hasn't fought in almost three years though.
50:37That'll do it for a UFC betting preview. You can find more UFC betting content for both Billy and myself and the

51:29On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
51:34I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle.
51:40I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinheiro and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first.

52:22Our hometown is not a test tube. 90 miles northeast of Nashville, a battle for the future of America plays out in one small town.

52:53Do you hear the new episode of the Hey Jonas podcast?
52:56We are at D23, so we'll see who stops by.
52:59The cast of Frozen stopped by. Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel.
53:03I auditioned for Frozen. What? For Kristoff. They said, okay, what are you going to be singing today?
53:09I said, I don't know. That must have been why you didn't get it.
53:13Oh, you probably won. Plus, John Stamos, Hayden Christensen from Star Wars, and more.
53:18And I guess I can share that, uh... No way.
