0:57We've got Pete, we've got Jeremiah Ratzlaff, and myself, Wyatt.
1:00Today, we're talking about some really deep sleepers at the wide receiver position using NFFC ADP.
1:05But if I'm being honest, we could use any ADP because we're talking about players going at the ends of your drafts
1:12that we think could possibly help you this season.
1:15First up, Jeremiah, Caleb Douglas. What's going on? Hey, we love it.
1:19Caleb Douglas, he could be ranked wide receiver 8 million.
1:22But on NFFC, he is wide receiver 150, 277 overall.
1:25We're talking round 23. So super late. That back third of your draft, those 30-round drafts, you start taking stabs at these wide receivers.
1:33Give me this dolphin in Caleb Douglas. Preseason scouting report before the NFL draft process, before he became a third-round pick ahead of Chris Bell.
1:41Well, boys, we were there for the NFL draft.
1:44It was hype. It was excitement. A Florida to Texas Tech transfer.
1:47He's very good on the boundary. 413 wide snaps to 84 slot snaps.
1:51Plays physical. Vertical threat deep ball. Contested catchability with his height.
1:55Ball tracking and catch radius. So the football, at times, the field.
1:59It's the only thing containing Caleb Douglas. The defenders are lucky that there's an out of bounds or that the QB can't throw as far, simply.
2:07He is a lid lifter in the light of somebody like Alec Pierce, Rashid Shahid.
2:12I see mixes of Martavis Bryant, Robbie Chosin Anderson.
2:14Long legs get going. Reminds me, in a much lesser version, of how Randy Moss could move at top speed.
2:21So not fully Randy Moss, but little elements where it's like you blink for a hot second, and you can do maybe
2:281 20th of what Randy Moss could do in some junctures of the football field.
2:32So he's not necessarily the freak, but he does have some cool flashes.
2:37The little bit of knocks on him that I have, it's easy to knock the ball out of his hands.
2:43Catching balls in traffic. He's not necessarily a hands catcher in tight spaces.
2:47So that could present itself in the red zone.
2:50Not a tackle breaker. And he can improve his release package.
2:53So those are some notes on him. We're getting good narrative that he's top of the depth chart.
2:59Now, we know that can be a lie sometimes.
3:02He's at the top of the Dolphins depth chart.
3:05What is that necessarily worth? You've got Greg Dulcich, who's a free tight end.
3:09You have Malik Washington, who I know Pete prefers.
3:12You've got Jalen Tolbert. Malik Willis is going to throw to somebody besides Devon Achan.
3:17And I like the idea of Caleb Douglas. He's now reaching the point for me, Wyatt and Pete, where I'm going to
3:24decide in redrafts to actually make the pick on Caleb Douglas because I am anticipating being able to trade him for some sort of value.
3:32So preemptively, he'll be a late round stash for me.
3:35I'm going to get him in these best ball in the NFFC streets.
3:39And then in redraft, the action item for me is to get him at the end of the draft.
3:45And then after the first month happens and he's the guy and he's flashing and everybody just rushes to get him off
3:52the waiver wire, I'll see what I can do to sweeten him.
3:56He may be somebody who sweetens the pot for a trade.
3:59So that's what I'm looking at. Interviews with Caleb Douglas, he's talking about every rep they're going at it.
4:05How that's the difference in practice versus college, where he could kind of fly through some of his practices and games in college.
4:12Well, at the NFL level, every snap it's on site.
4:15So it's pretty cool to hear the maturation for him and what he's got going on.
4:20So Caleb Douglas, he's my sleeper. What do you guys think of that?
4:25Around 23. I know on other canine friendly platforms, he would go around 17, around 18.
4:30But what do you gentlemen think of him as a late round flyer?
4:34Yeah, Pete. So Caleb Douglas, his selection in the third round kind of surprised everybody.
4:38But he goes to a place where it's wide open.
4:42What do you think? Yeah, look, with Miami, it's just going to be a pick your poison for a free square.
4:48I personally prefer Malik Washington. But encouraging news for at least Caleb Douglas, who is drafted to a team where, again, not a lot of targets.
4:56If Chris Bell was healthy, if they brought in a Keenan Allen, a Deebo Samuel, a Stephon Diggs, I think it would kind of put the kibosh.
5:05And I really wouldn't want any exposure. I prefer Caleb Douglas.
5:08And most of these guys that we're going to talk about today, you would think, are more best ball picks probably than redraft managed leagues.
5:16But still, they could have some value depending on how the season shakes out with injuries or just overall just taking over the starting role.
5:24And in Caleb Douglas' situation, this is a team that's going to be playing from behind.
5:29So he does have a chance to carve out a role.
5:33The reports in camp have been pretty good. And this was a guy that was drafted top 100 and, quite frankly, is
5:40listed as a starter on the depth chart, right?
5:43Ahead of Jalen Tolbert. I'm sorry. Ahead of 2-2 Atwell.
5:46Ahead of guys like Jalen Rager. Kevin Coleman. Just goes to show what kind of roster this is at the receiver position.
5:53And it's really him, Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert. Those are the starting three receivers.
5:57So, yeah, Caleb Douglas. Don't mind taking a dart throw.
6:00So, most of these guys, except me, at least Caleb Douglas, is going to be a guy that you're comfortable cutting after week one, week two.
6:08It's just a matter of that's your rotating bench guy that you're looking for upside and you're hoping that they show out early.
6:16Yeah, I think Caleb Douglas is actually, from the Miami wide receivers, perhaps the best pick specifically for redraft.
6:22Because if you find out he doesn't have a role early on, you can cut ties and just move on.
6:28Whereas Malik Washington, I actually think is really good for best ball where we actually do want some of these players who
6:35are more just safe floor in best ball because you don't have a wire to go to when things don't work out.
6:42Whereas you draft Caleb Douglas in best ball and he turns out he doesn't have a role.
6:47Like, that's just a zero on your roster. You know, Malik Washington, we expect to do something, but he doesn't really have that high of a ceiling.
6:56So, we can count him for something on those teams.
6:59I don't really want Malik Washington to redraft because what's, you know, seven points per game going to do on my bench?
7:06Like, I don't care. You know, but like, Caleb Douglas, if he has a role, we'll find out early and you can plug him in.
7:14And if it's something you need, or as Jeremiah said, maybe use him to sweeten a pot to get a deal done for a better player.
7:22So, I like the call, Jeremiah. Everybody, we're going to take a quick second to hear about that in NFFC.

8:54Louis, Missouri. Back on the Fantasy Price Check, and Pete is up to give us his sleeper.
8:59Yeah, for me, it's Pat Bryant. You know, I've talked about Pat Bryant a little bit here and there, you know, over on Twitter.
9:07And Pat Bryant's getting a decent amount of steam.
9:10It just seems like every day in camp so far, you know, he's making big plays.
9:15You know, just overall spotlight's been on him a decent amount.
9:18And, you know, I am very high on Jalen Waddell this year.
9:22And Jalen Waddell has had issues staying healthy. Pat Bryant really slots into more of that Cortland Sutton role than Jalen Waddell.
9:29But my point more or less is that there is opportunity there in case there is an injury.
9:35And, you know, Cortland Sutton had injuries earlier on in his career.
9:38You know, Jalen Waddell has had issues staying healthy as of late, and he's already dealing with something.
9:44And it's kind of opened up, you know, more time and the ability for Bryant to shine.
9:49Sutton, to start camp this year, you know, missed like two days in a row for veteran rest days, right?
9:56And so, you know, they're trying to manage his load.
9:59And I think there's a possibility that Bryant gets more involved earlier on in the season, even without an injury, right?
10:06I think in three wide receiver sets on like third downs, he's going to be a guy that will be out there.
10:12Big catch radius. And overall, just a player I really like to come out of college.
10:18Sean Payton was asked on the show with Kay Adams, you know, how are you going to, you know, keep Pat Bryant off the field, right?
10:26Like and Sean pretty much said, we're not like we're not going to keep him off the field.
10:31He's going to be on the field. And I just think it's one of those things where the upside for Bryant may
10:38not be sky high, but he's one of those kind of like handcuffs where in very rare situation, there's a couple of offenses like Ryan Florinoy.
10:47There's a couple of wide receivers that may be our third on the depth chart that can still have some value and
10:54their value shoots up really, really high. If they're starting guy in front of them goes down.
10:59This is also a team that threw the ball fifth most in the NFL last year.
11:04So we know the passing attempts will be there and they didn't really upgrade the running back room too much.
11:10It's still JK Dobbins who already had an injury scare to start camp.
11:14You know, it's RJ Harvey who's had some vision issues and then they brought in Jonah Coleman.
11:20I know people like Jonah Coleman. He's still a rookie.
11:23They still are going to have issues. I think running the ball efficiently and effectively are going to have to throw the ball.
11:30So I think Pat Bryant's just a really nice pick.
11:33See if he's involved in the, in the first few weeks of the season and same kind of kind of situation.
11:40You can cut bait, you know, if you're not interested in kind of holding out for an injury and also get a
11:47free look to see, Hey, is he going to be, is he going to be viable without an injury to start the year?
11:54Yeah. You know, Jeremiah, I can't get out of my head in the playoffs last year against the bills.
12:00It seemed like they almost made the passing game plan out of Pam Bryant.
12:05Like they started off with three straight targets to basically to start the game.
12:09He gets a concussion. We don't know like how good of a game he was getting ready to have.
12:15How do you feel about him? Well, it's funny because you pray for opportunities where you can get a discounted price on
12:22a player like that, who they're pre emerging. And then unfortunately something happens to them with injury.
12:27I see that with a parallel with somebody like Torrey Horton.
12:31What's the commonality between Pat Bryant and Torrey Horton?
12:34Gentlemen, they're buried behind receivers where you could see a path where it may seem redundant right now, but just a little
12:41bit on the other side, there could be a path to opportunity.
12:44Maybe it is a Cortland Sutton who gets traded.
12:47Maybe it's a Cooper cup is absolute dust. And then Torrey Horton just matriculates up.
12:52But I love the Pat Bryant call by Pete.
12:55And when we've heard, and I know Sean Payton isn't the best, most reliable for coach speak, but when he's made comparisons
13:02to Michael Thomas, it does get you salivating a little bit and start to think about that pre emerging talent that was displayed last year to your point.
13:11So if you can remember that little nugget, Wyatt, you can take advantage of that this year.
13:16And prior to the buzz that has been generated for Pat Bryant, if you've been clicking, I think you've been prudent to build that into your portfolios.
13:24And last night, Pete, in the NFFC draft, you astutely drafted Pat Bryant.
13:29And I did notice you went Cortland Sutton two drafts ago.
13:32And then in this draft last night, Pete, you went Pat Bryant.
13:36So as part of your thought, hey, you're going to layer if you miss somebody like Sutton, that arch type of wide
13:43receiver, you're going to go for a Pat Bryant just to get something out of that Broncos room because you see the
13:50key to goodness in that Broncos passing game layered underneath somebody like Jalen Waddle.
13:54Yeah, I just think kind of like what Wyatt said, I think there's a plan and a path for Bryant to be successful.
14:01And look, this could be a year early and that's okay.
14:05You're not going to be spending much on him.
14:08This is a guy that pretty much goes undrafted, right?
14:11So last pick in your draft, you're taking him again at the back end of your roster.
14:16And as a quick player, you always need guys like that, though.
14:20You need guys on your line in your roster that you're saying, okay, I am good with cutting this person a week or two into the season.
14:29I'm not married to these people. Sometimes we get so fixated from players and we're like, oh, man, like I don't want to drop them.
14:36Like you might take a second tight end or, you know, which I typically don't do, especially if I have a really good one.
14:44Or even when I don't have a really good one, I still typically only draft one tight end, right?
14:50Like you're just clogging up roster spots and it makes it for less and less space where you can go get a
14:57guy that broke out earlier on in the season.
15:00So that's how I look at a lot of these guys.
15:03And that's kind of my method of how I play.
15:06And look, the truth is, you know, there's also a world where he re-aggravates whatever he has and they shut him down.
15:13And maybe he starts off slow to start the first week or two into the season.
15:18And it opens up a chance for Bryant to, you know, make a name for himself and be like, hey, this guy's
15:25got to be involved in the offense and the game plan.
15:29I could easily see Sutton start to lose some touches where maybe the end zone and the red zones there, but maybe
15:36the volume kind of shifts more towards Bryant as they are similar skill set.
15:40So it's a wait and see game. But again, could be a year early on Pat Bryant.
15:46But I still think he's an interesting player, especially with bottle sidelined this early in the offseason.
15:51Well, while these two went for the young players who are looking to make their mark in the NFL, I'm going to
15:58go for old reliable at the end of the drafts with Keenan Allen.
16:02Yes, I know he does not have a team yet, but the buzz is coming.
16:07It seems like he actually has multiple suitors and we're waiting to find out where he's going to go.
16:13And dude is certifiably not washed. Okay, just last year on the Chargers led them in target share and yards per route run.
16:20He is the reason why we were worried about Ladd McConkie.
16:23And some people probably still have some worry for Ladd McConkie going into 2026 because Keenan Allen came in and mogged him.
16:30And yes, I just did say mogged and hopefully I used it correctly.
16:34You did. You did. But I do think he's going to be signing somewhere to a team that is looking for wide
16:41receiver help who needs him on their team. And while he does not have the highest ceiling, we know that it's hard
16:48to find what projectable floor he could have this late in drafts.
16:52Jeremiah, how are you feeling about Keenan Allen? Last night we were speaking about it, Pete, and it's funny.
16:58The literal definition of free agency is Keenan Allen.
17:01He has this agency as we were getting closer to week one snaps where it's likely, okay, 14 teams make the postseason.
17:08And then in competition for maybe a good chunk of the season, there's at least 20 as you're getting towards the end.
17:15And it's a elimination game, right? Last couple games are so important.
17:19There are so many options and so many teams look and appear better than they are because, hey, it's we're getting to week one.
17:26Everyone's fresh. Everybody has aspirations. So it benefits so much Keenan Allen.
17:30He can go to familiarity. If it were to be the Chargers and we plug right back in, it'd be fear street for Lab McConkie.
17:38But it'd be great for Keenan Allen and the price that you're paying, Wyatt, on fantasy price check here.
17:44And then the Bears. There's familiarity there. Maybe they see a little bit of a vacuum with DJ Moore out, even as much as they love Luther Burden.
17:53They're a Super Bowl aspiration team. So teams are really going to look at we're interested in winning, not players' feelings per se.
18:00Somebody like Keenan Allen can step in. One last team that would be golden.
18:04I think a lot of people ideally would like somebody like the Colts.
18:09So good call on Keenan Allen and where you're getting him in the drafts will not be the price payout that he
18:16has, Keenan Allen, when he does sign. So you might as well pay the price now because you're going to get a benefit up in value.
18:24Yeah, Pete, any final thoughts on Keenan Allen before we get out of here?
18:28Yeah, I mean, like Jay said, we drafted him last night.
18:32You know, he's an easy click in best ball formats, especially in these NFFC drafts that we've been doing for the best ball championships.
18:39But, you know, with Keenan, it's like he's probably got to be going to a contender unless there's a major injury from
18:46now until week one where, you know, it's maybe not the best team or not a contender, but somebody in the middle where they lose a star player.
18:55And you're saying, OK, we need to get him in there because it's even like it seemed like the Atlanta Falcons makes a lot of sense.
19:03But it's like, why would he go to Atlanta?
19:06But overall, like Wyatt said, I mean, the one one of the bigger edges, edges get smaller and smaller with fantasy football
19:13as there's more content, there's more data, there's more you know, there's just more analysis.
19:18And the floor for players is just getting higher.
19:21People's knowledge of the game and fantasy is just increasing every single year.
19:25But one of them is to me, it's just drafting older players.
19:28Right. I mean, players are taking care of their bodies more.
19:32Some of these players are elite players. Keenan Allen was quote unquote elite at one point in his career, and he's been
19:39able to continue to demand targets like Wyatt said last year, like the year before on the Bears, when everybody made fun of the dude for being fat.
19:48And he ended up still pulling in 100 targets.
19:51So, you know, there's always an edge with these older players.
19:54Stephon Diggs shoots up 40, 50, 40, 50 picks just off of a signing.
19:58Debo Samuel has launched into my top 100 now that he's on the 49ers.
20:03And these are guys that we consistently see that you can always get value on.
20:08And if Keenan doesn't doesn't sign for like, you know, into the last week of the offseason, people are going to already start having their homely drafts.
20:16And so you'll be able to get him at a pretty much no cost value.
20:21So I like the call out. That does it for us on the fantasy price check.
