The source prefers AJ Brown over Justin Jefferson, Drake London, and CeeDee Lamb, ranking him as the WR6 and a priority target at the turn.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

NegativeValue5:36

Amon-Ra St. Brown is consistently coming off the board at the 1.08 position in high-stakes NFFC drafts.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveBreakout76:05

The source is very high on Antonio Williams, ranking him as a first-round rookie pick. Despite Stephon Diggs' arrival, the source believes Williams will find his way onto the field and provide spike-week production.

Insight page

Ashton Jeanty

NegativeInjury7:33

Ashton Jeanty is dealing with a foot injury described as swelling from his cleats; the source believes he may miss time early in the season, leading to a volatile ADP ranging from the 1.02 to the 1.30s.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

NegativeValue5:23

Bijan Robinson is part of the chalky early first-round selection group in NFFC best ball formats.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeValue15:49

Brock Bowers is falling to the third round in some drafts, which the source identifies as a nice value, though they generally avoid drafting tight ends early.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue8:34

Chase Brown is a high-upside running back target, especially when paired with Kenneth Walker at the 1-2 turn. His value could increase if Chiefs tackle Josh Simmons' back injury proves serious.

Insight page

Eli Stowers

NegativeInjury71:26

Reports suggesting Eli Stowers is unusable are considered overblown by the source, who acknowledges he may miss the start of the year but expects the team to integrate him eventually.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

PositiveValue9:00

Emeka Egbuka is considered excellent value at the 4-5 turn, despite some concerns regarding a toe injury. The source notes he is often drafted in the early third round, making the 4-5 turn a significant discount.

Insight page

Greg Dulcich

PositiveValue69:49

The source considers Greg Dolcich a good pick for a Miami stack, noting that while he has health issues and the source lacks significant exposure, he remains a top-20 tight end with target volume.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeInjury5:23

Despite a minor injury scare that might cause him to miss about a week of practice, Ja'Marr Chase remains a high-end pick at the 1.03 spot.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

NegativeValue5:23

Jahmyr Gibbs is being drafted as a top-tier asset in high-stakes NFFC best ball drafts, consistently going early in the first round.

Insight page

Jalen Nailor

NegativeRole28:32

Jalen Naylor is viewed as having a more complete route tree than Trey Tucker, though both are primarily best ball targets.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveValue7:02

James Cook is a preferred target for the source at the back end of the first round in NFFC drafts, though he does not always fall to that spot.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeProjection25:08

The source ranks Jayden Daniels highly (QB3) but notes he is difficult to evaluate due to his pocket maneuvering style, which is compared to a young Russell Wilson, and concerns over the offensive line's health.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveUsage16:50

Jalen Waddle is a priority target for the source, who ranks him as WR15 and values his usage and potential for stacking with Bo Nix.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

NegativeUsage30:21

The source believes the fantasy community has 'jumped the shark' on Jonah Coleman, noting that while he has talent, he is unlikely to see significant volume early in the season without an injury to the starters.

Insight page
PositiveValue45:01

The source highlights Jonah Coleman as an insane value pick in the 11th round, noting that drafting him past round 10 provides high upside.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

NegativeSleeper44:41

The source identifies Jordan Tyson as a high-upside target in the 11th round, viewing him as a low-risk, high-reward pick for best ball formats.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper46:23

The source views Jordan Tyson as a high-upside pick in round 11, even if he misses the first month of the season. The expectation is that he can provide spike weeks of 16+ points once healthy, functioning as a valuable wide receiver three.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeInjury41:26

Josh Downs' ADP has plummeted into the 10th round due to recurring injury issues, specifically a calf injury following a previous hamstring concern.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeValue22:18

Despite potential legal issues and suspension concerns, the source views Josh Jacobs as a high-reward asset worth the risk at his current draft price.

Insight page
NegativeValue32:21

Josh Jacobs is a high-conviction pick in the fifth round. The source believes the suspension risk is overstated and that he would be a second-round pick without the off-field concerns.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeValue15:21

While still a blue-chip player, the source has a slight fade on Justin Jefferson compared to AJ Brown, noting that the top of the WR rankings is extremely thin.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

NegativeInjury72:53

The source expresses ongoing concerns about Keaton Mitchell's durability, noting he is already dealing with an injury and has a history of missing time.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveValue7:24

Kenneth Walker is a recommended anchor running back for the 1.11 turn, despite minor foot injury concerns. The source views him as a high-upside pick alongside Chase Brown.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

NegativeInjury57:26

Kenyon Sadiq has been dealing with a hernia recovery, which the source hopes will open up a window for him to contribute.

Insight page
NegativeInjury67:22

Kenyon Sadiq has been dealing with a hernia recovery, and the source hopes this injury window opens up opportunities for him.

Insight page

Kimani Vidal

PositiveSleeper72:44

The source views Kamani Vidal as a high-upside handcuff who would receive the majority of touches if Hampton goes down, making him an excellent value pick.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveValue43:26

The source prefers Malik Willis over C.J. Stroud for his roster due to cheaper stacking options and a higher personal ranking, despite Stroud's higher profile.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveValue36:45

Marshawn Lloyd is considered a top-tier handcuff with potential standalone value, though his presence has clouded the market's judgment on Josh Jacobs.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveBreakout27:01

The source believes Marvin Harrison Jr. is a momentum-based player who struggles mentally when in a rut but possesses high upside once he starts stacking successful plays.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

PositiveProjection30:07

The source believes Michael Mayer has the potential to be a top-12 tight end, benefiting from the Raiders' lack of wide receiver additions.

Insight page
PositiveValue71:57

The source identifies Michael Mayer as a cheap, high-value target for stacking, particularly for teams that have already drafted Brock Bowers.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveValue12:12

Mike Washington is rising rapidly in drafts due to the uncertainty surrounding Ashton Jeanty's injury, potentially offering immediate value if Jeanty misses time.

Insight page
PositiveRole45:21

The source expects early-season viability for Mike Washington, noting he is on the mend and could see opportunities despite being drafted later than his NFFC ADP suggested.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

NegativeBust57:14

Omar Cooper is struggling as a first-round draft pick, with the source describing the current situation as a very tough scene.

Insight page
NegativeBust67:14

Omar Cooper is currently struggling, which the source describes as a very tough scene for a first-round draft pick, though they note it is not necessarily over for him.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

PositiveSleeper29:07

The source is bullish on the Denver Broncos backfield, viewing R.J. Harvey as a key piece alongside J.K. Dobbins, noting his 12-touchdown season and pass-catching ability.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveInjury41:14

The source dismisses concerns about Sam LaPorta's hip stinger, citing expert medical analysis that it is a deep bruise rather than a structural issue, and views his current ADP as a massive value.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeProjection24:35

The source expresses concern regarding the Commanders' offensive line and Jayden Daniels' development, but remains hopeful that the Terry McLaurin-Daniels connection will materialize as the season progresses.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

PositiveValue49:37

The source identifies Travis Kelce as a great value in round 11, projecting that a return to 10 touchdowns would have made him the TE2 last year. He is ranked 10th in redraft but has top-five upside.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

NegativeRole27:32

Trey Tucker is expected to play on the outside for the Raiders, though the source worries about his role being limited to deep routes.

0:00We are proudly supported by Nathan & Sons, makers of Underbrush Remineralizing Gum.
0:04The Nathan & Sons folks sent me some of this gum and when you taste it, it's like, oh, this is what real flavor tastes like.
0:13It just didn't feel fake. It had a texture and a taste of what real gum should be.
0:19Because I've tried other natural gums and the flavor does not pop like it does with Nathan & Sons and the flavor doesn't last.
0:27My favorite flavor is cinemastic. I also feel like my jaw's in better shape.
0:32Not doing as much clenching with my teeth. And what's funny is it's made with hydroxyapatite, the same mineral your tooth enamel is made from.
0:40And the best part is the chewing gum that helps take care of your teeth in between brushing.
0:46And critically, there is no plastic in this gum.
0:49It's made from natural tree sap and if you want a simple daily upgrade for your teeth, head over to NathanAndSons.com and check out Underbrush.
0:57And get 30% off your first order. NathanAndSons.com to get 30% off.
1:01It's Pete Novo here with Coach, a.k.a. Jeremiah. And we are back.
1:05We have made this a weekly thing where we draft a $150 best ball high stakes NFFC fantasy football draft.
1:12And we're super excited to come back. Ironically enough, Jay, we get the 111.
1:16The draft is about to start and kick off in about five seconds here.
1:21So we're right on time and we are ready to roll.
1:25Any questions you have, drop them in the chat.
1:28Me and Jay will get to them. But, Jay, we're here at the 111 spot and I really don't hate it because,
1:35you know, the corners are my favorite spots in the draft this year.
1:39You know, back and front end. And then with NFFC, we get that third round reversal.
1:45So very, very much love this spot here. And we feel pretty comfortable because we've pretty much drafted out of this spot a couple of times now.
1:54And the nice thing is you get to take advantage of people's mistakes.
1:58There's going to be somebody who reaches in front of us and provides value and opportunity.
2:03It'll just be a matter of do we want to get a little bit more of a unique build?
2:10Because as you mentioned, Pete, this is our third time at the 111.
2:14So it offers opportunity for us to do something different.
2:17Speaking of doing something different, get over to the NFC, NFFC.
2:21OK, exclusive promo codes that we have at Player Profiler.
2:24First time drafters use promo code first time 100 during your registration for $100 off any initial entry fee, $150 or more.
2:32So there's other codes out there for the NFC best ball entry profiler 15, $15 gets you off of the $150 entry.
2:39So there's a bunch of different codes out there.
2:42And we'll talk a little bit about the contest as we go, because this is best ball championship.
2:48$150 entry, 12 teams, 30 rounds, third round reversal.
2:51So it's an endurance marathon. We're draft and done.
2:54It's best ball. This is it. This is a squad.
2:57We have to have forward thinking, tracking your cumulative points across all 17 weeks in the top three.
3:03Pete, you want to build some bankroll? Top three per league get paid out.
3:08$800 goes to the first in your league. Grand prize, 30K.
3:11Prizes based on 230 leagues, 2,760 teams. Deep 30 round rosters let you hoard those late round upside plays.
3:18Boasting elite yards per route run metrics. All the things that you can offer here.
3:23And as we have, the draft is pretty chalky to start.
3:26Gibbs, Bijan, Jamar Chase. A little bit of an injury scare, but we don't see much of a scare for Jamar Chase.
3:34He's still at the 103. And then we see Amon-Ra St.
3:37Brown go at the 108. Just your thoughts on the initial rollout of these first eight picks, Pete.
3:43Yeah, not too much. I mean, Jamar Chase, you know, he's probably going to miss, you know, maybe a week of practice or so.
3:51And that's to be expected at this point. We do have, you know, draft data for you guys that we'll go over.
3:59You are on deck. You are up. That's been from the last week or so.
4:04Let me take the sound effects off on the draft.
4:07That's a rookie mistake there. But, yeah, we have draft data for what's been going on in this format the last few days.
4:15You know, Ashton Gentry still has an ADP of 10.7.
4:18We'll talk about where he's kind of slipped or where he's gone.
4:22I've pretty much started with James Cook in a lot of these drafts in this position, Jay.
4:28You got 28 seconds here on the clock. It is a start three wide receiver draft.
4:33Looking at some of these receivers, I don't really love CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson in this spot.
4:39We do have Gentry, Hampton. We do have possibility of going with Kenneth Walker here.
4:44I don't really like the running backs too much either.
4:47So I'm kind of pitching to hold here. I'm going to end up just shooting my shot.
4:53I'm going to go take Kenneth Walker. I know there's been a little bit of talk.
4:58He has somewhat of a foot injury, but they're saying that it's really just swelling on his foot from the cleat that he's wearing.
5:06I don't mind taking Kenneth Walker here. I've advised people that I'm good taking him and Chase Brown on the one-two turn if you have them.
5:14If Cook doesn't fall, Cook in this scenario does not fall.
5:18And we set ourselves up again. Again, my favorite thing to do, especially at the back end here, is anchor down with
5:25an elite running back in the first round or the second round on the turn.
5:30Because with the third round reversal, Jay, we get the top of the third round.
5:35So there's still usually a very nice receiver that's going to fall to us.
5:40Maybe it's an Emek Agbuka. Maybe it's a Malik Neighbors.
5:43We've seen that time and time again. Speaking of Emeka Agbuka, Justin said, how are we feeling about Agbuka's toe?
5:50I took him with the 4-5 turn and redraft, but it's got me a little nervous.
5:55I wouldn't be necessarily nervous about Agbuka. 4-5 turn, I think Jay is good value for Agbuka.
6:01There's many such cases where he's going high third round.
6:04So 4-5 turn is a discount based on where we've seen him being drafted this offseason.
6:10So I would be happy with that return there, Jay.
6:13What say you? Yeah, I'll be interested to see what your pick is here.
6:18Emeka Agbuka at the 4-5 turn is just brilliant.
6:21You love it. And the risk is baked in for your favor.
6:25You're getting the 4-5 turn. That's such a perfect price.
6:28I expect there's these teams where we've gotten Emeka Agbuka in round two, in round three, and the steam.
6:34He's been steamed all the way up, Emeka Agbuka.
6:37Emeka Agbuka, you're not really having to price in so much risk.
6:41It's kind of like Jeremiah Love falling to the third round, who fell to us in a previous draft, Pete, to round three.
6:49And you're like, oh, cool. Awesome value. So Emeka Agbuka had that 4-5 turn.
6:53I would not be nervous. But at the same time, if he's out week one, maybe even week two, or it's a
7:01slow start the first couple weeks because he's ramping up and the snap percentage isn't going to be as high and the
7:08Buccaneers are being careful with Emeka Agbuka. So don't panic.
7:11But just know you've been able to get your first three picks and then that 4-5 turn.
7:17If those other four players of your first five picks are starting strong and they're blue chip type players, you got a
7:24whole other draft of players who can fill in and replace.
7:28Now, speaking of fill in and replace, Mike Washington has been a hot topic in all the redraft streets and these best
7:35ball streets just soaring up the board when we had that Ashton Janty scare.
7:40Now, I'll be curious too, Pete, because Ashton Jeanty is somebody who we seem to think he's okay.
7:46But now there's like this secondary murmuring of not closure on Ashton Janty.
7:50I'm of the mind that he's going to miss a little bit of time and it won't be wheels up week one
7:58for him to where I think you're going to get a free start or two out of somebody like Mike Washington.
8:05Talk about a max and a min pick. Ashton Janty has gone all the way up at the 102 in these drafts,
8:12Pete, but he's gone all the way down to the 130s.
8:16So a precipitous drop in value at some point, depending on how this injury falls out, Pete, we're going to see some
8:23crazy values, maybe in both directions with it being Mike Washington, people who had him way late, and then people who maybe got a dip on Ashton Janty.
8:32It remains to be seen, but we see in this draft the effect of the news.
8:38We've seen Pete, Ashton Janty go 108, and here he is at the back end of round two to team five.
8:45Yeah, and looking at the recent ADP of just these guys, so Mike Washington in the last four days in this contest
8:52went from the lowest he's gone is 180 and the highest he's gone is 115.
8:57Ashton Janty in this format, right now he's the lowest he's gone is 20 and typically, or at least the highest he's
9:04gone is seven, but he's typically going 12, seven, five right now.
9:08So that's about right where he's currently, I guess, valued in a sense.
9:12And it seems that the market didn't freak out too, too much.
9:16I do have some tweaks that I got to make to some of my rankings.
9:21You know, I'm starting to feel more and more comfortable saying that I prefer AJ Brown over Justin Jefferson over Drake London.
9:29That hasn't changed with him in London, and I prefer him over CeeDee Lamb.
9:33So I'm right there with AJ. I take him here at the turn.
9:38I don't have any exposure to him in these drafts so far.
9:42Mike, I see in the chat, we'll get to you in one second.
9:46But I'm here now with 30 seconds on the clock.
9:49Bowers falls to round three, a nice value there.
9:52There's a lot of wide receivers. I could take Igbuka right now, ADP of 32.
9:57So when we talked about that Igbuka question before, that gives you a little bit of an idea for where he's going right now.
10:05I don't really love the players here. I could go with Zay Flowers.
10:10I'm going to take a chance here. I'm just going to go take Jalen Waddle here because I don't think he's going to come back to me.
10:19I know it's high on Jalen Waddle, and this is not my strict ranking of, hey, I have Waddle ahead of Rashi, Zay, and Igbuka.
10:27Right now, though, Jay, I have Waddle ranked as wide receiver 18, slowly starting to tick up closer and closer ahead of Devonta Smith and Tett.
10:36But McMillan, he'll probably push up in my updated rankings ahead of both of those guys.
10:41I just love what I saw with the usage with Waddle.
10:45I love in this format just what we have so far.
10:48We could stack Kenneth Walker with Patrick Mahomes on a cheap stack with Travis Kelsey.
10:53We could stack Jalen Waddle with Bo Nix and still grab Cortland Sutton.
10:57And then if we wanted to go elite quarterback, if Drake May does fall, we could take Drake May.
11:04Quarterbacks in this format, Jay. Quarterbacks, this is a very savvy, like, you know, these are very savvy rooms.
11:10Drake May falls to, you know, on average, pick 67.
11:13So there is a chance, you know, we can get him maybe in that fifth round, sixth round if I wanted to take a swing.
11:22But all in all, this has been the process of typically what my builds have consisted of, of again, anchoring down on
11:29running back and then taking double tapping at wide receiver.
11:32And you're going to see tons of wide receivers go here because it's a start three wide receiver format.
11:39You're going to see tons of wide receivers go here, Jay.
11:42But before we move on, I just want to grab Mike's question and then you can grab Justin's comments here.
11:49He said, Pete, if Brown had fallen to you at 11, would you have still taken Walker?
11:55I still would take Walker. The injury scare hasn't concerned me, but I will say prior to early this month, I had Chase Brown ahead of Walker.
12:04I know I did a show with Jay a couple of weeks back early to begin the month and I had Walker.
12:11I'm sorry. I had Chase Brown ahead of Walker and my, my thoughts on have changed a little bit, but I will
12:18say Josh Simmons left tackle for the chiefs seems to be dealing with an injury back injury.
12:24And with him, if there, if that is something serious, Jay, um, there's possibility Chase Brown bumps back right back up ahead
12:31of Walker for me, but they're really right next to each other right now in my overall rankings.
12:37So I try to get exposure to both guys.
12:40And that's why I said, I like taking them both at the one, two turn on, on a double tap as well.
12:47And, you know, you put your foot in the water and you have Chase Brown put the other foot in the water
12:55with somebody like a Kenneth Walker in these high stakes.
12:58You like having, um, just a little bit of a disparity in all your players where you're dispersing a little bit of your roster ship.
13:06You don't have to go full portfolio. I mean, every team, well, a couple of teams that we've had, we've gotten Jonah
13:14Coleman, a couple of teams we've had, we've gotten Casey Concepcion.
13:17There's been a couple blue chip players that we like at different prices.
13:22So it's not like you have to per se do everything different every time and just be like a metronome, but you
13:29do want a degree of variation because Pete, we were talking when Jandy suffered his scare.
13:34We were looking all around for, Hey, what Washington do we have out there?
13:39And when you have options of all different handcuffed running backs, you have to diversify because it's kind of like Matthew Barry used to say where it's whack-a-mole.
13:48You're trying to catch the one that pops out going back though, Pete, where you have Justin Jefferson, AJ Brown, our good
13:56friend, Shev is very high on AJ Brown ahead of Justin Jefferson has a slight fade on Jefferson.
14:02And it's one of those things where it's like, don't hear what I'm not saying where just Jefferson could absolutely hit and
14:09do well, but we're so granular up at the top where these little shifts can happen that are differentiated.
14:15If you have more faith, Pete in Drake may delivering for AJ Brown, then Kyler versus Justin Jefferson, that could be as
14:23thin as ice as what you have. But again, back to what you said with picking Waddle at the early part of
14:30the third round dispersal, you have just a great opportunity possibly to stack as well with Bo Nix.
14:36And you know what? Jalen Waddle is one of those players.
14:40So shifty in these drafts where if you don't click them, you don't get them.
14:44So it's like you almost have to be looking out for, hey, there's a yellow bug on the road and now I see him everywhere.
14:53You got to look out for some Jalen Waddle because other savvy drafters, as you mentioned in this room, Pete, and in
15:00all these other drafts will take him. It's going to move all over the formation.
15:05Sean Payton loves him. High investment capital that the bills weren't willing to do, Pete.
15:10Around one pick and it was a first and a fourth significant.
15:14Yeah, it was a swap. Yeah, it was like a first and a swap.
15:19Yeah. And that's the thing with like, I knew I wasn't going to get Waddle on the way back.
15:25And this is a little bit of a different build.
15:28We haven't started with these three players. Typically, we've gotten Cook to start.
15:33And so we're going for a little bit of, again, you almost have to build the foundation to draft backwards in a way, right?
15:41We talked about this where, you know, we're sitting here.
15:44I'm not drafting and pressing stacks or pressing all these things.
15:48But when I look, I'm creating, again, more avenues for stacking players, right?
15:52And that's what we're looking for. We don't press the stacks, but we definitely keep them in mind because they are important, Jay.
16:00Um, Justin said that his first four picks were Gibbs, Bowers, Neighbors, uh, Zay Flowers.
16:05And then he got Ibuka. So, I mean, I, I typically don't like drafting tight end high.
16:10I don't have exposure to Bowers much, but I mean, getting these three wide receivers, cause I usually am like, Hey, I
16:18don't want to chase the running back position, or I don't want to fall behind on one of these positions, but you
16:25anchor down with an elite running back. Of course it Gibbs, you know, that's phenomenal, right?
16:30You get Bowers. So you anchor down obviously with him, but then I would sit there and be like, well, I worry,
16:38are you going to fall behind at wide receiver?
16:40But this is a great wide receiver group to have in this situation, Jay.
16:45So I would be pretty happy if I was him.
16:48Um, and then he also came in and said, deep dive question.
16:52How do you guys like Trey Tucker? I've heard a lot of great things from the franchise about him.
16:59Like they love him. Um, yeah, best ball formats.
17:02Yeah. Jay, um, non-best ball formats. Like it's, it's tough for me to get excited about any of these guys, but you
17:09know, we've had our share of, is it tail?
17:12Is it nailer? Is it Tucker? You know, getting a little exposure to both.
17:17I think Tucker is going to be that guy that's going to play on the outside.
17:22Do worry about the sacrificialness of him kind of being that just run and fly routes all game long.
17:28And then, you know, nailers really a little bit more of, Hey, he can, he can run more of the route tree.
17:36Jay. Uh, but what are your thoughts between those two guys?
17:39Between which two again, you're saying about the two Raiders guys.
17:43Oh, yeah. Trey Tucker. Yep. Yep. I was a little focused on your pick.
17:48So you, you focus on that OTC and on Trey Tucker, I'm right there with you.
17:53I've, I've heard all, um, all the talk about Trey Tucker just being very popular and he balled out last year.
18:00Jalen Naylor gets a free agent money. But why, why are the Raiders not going after wide receivers all off season?
18:07Pretty peculiar, right? But that would just reason to tell you that I think it's going to be more signal for Michael Mayer in addition to Brock Bowers.
18:16And I think you're going to get an opportunity for somebody like Michael Mayer to be a top 12 tight end and
18:24the Raiders richness of their tight end room have two tight end ones.
18:28And then between Naylor and Tucker, I hate to say it, but in the best ball format, that's really where you want them.
18:36I would only hope for a pop early. And can I sell them in redraft?
18:40So if you're in redraft, you just have to think about these types of wide receivers.
18:46Are they WOW? Are they week over week players?
18:49And if they're not, can you catch lightning in the bottle in those first two weeks?
18:54And when people are just having FOMO, because it's been so long since football, then you have your waiver wire week.
19:01Can you package that player up and sell them?
19:04Even if you have to pair them with another player to tear up and have some goodness for yourself.
19:10So that's how I do it. We had somebody here mention Jack Betch and Fernando Mendoza as a great backdoor stack.
19:17And I've been loving that click in all different formats in best ball streets.
19:22And it's funny, week 17, Pete, Raiders, Cardinals lining up for Ash and Janty, Jeremiah Love, Brock Bowers, Trey McBride.
19:29I'm very pumped up. So let's hope again, a lot of things are circling back to Ash and Janty, Pete.
19:35Let's hope everything is aligned there, but let's take a look at some of your sneaky Pete picks.
19:41You went and got Terry McLaurin, Josh Jacobs. You've talked about the value.
19:46You strongly have conviction in Josh Jacobs. So the fifth round can't pass him up.
19:51I'd like you to talk to us about Parker Washington passing on him if it's the value of Josh Jacobs.
19:57But I do want to mention for your wide receivers with Brown and Waddle, AJ Brown for me is wide receiver six.
20:05Jalen Waddle for me is wide receiver 15. So you're really getting, in my eyes, a lot of very good value.
20:12So explain to us there. I like the other out stack that you have with Jaden Daniels.
20:17And I do have a follow up on the commanders.
20:21But tell me what goes in your head. Josh Jacobs passing on Parker Washington.
20:25Is this diversification or falling value or both? Yeah.
20:28I mean, with, with Jacobs, look, to start through wide receivers, you know, we've, we've got a strong core here.
20:35And AJ. So we fall into is when I've done this, it's usually been quarterback here at some point because a guy falls to us that we like.
20:44We took Josh Allen a couple of weeks ago.
20:47Right. And then we ended up taking, you know, we ended up taking Lamar Jackson because we had Zay Flowers.
20:54We ended up taking like, you know, Jackson Dart later.
20:57So, you know, this is one of those where, Hey, like, I know you can wait on quarterback in this format, in
21:04this draft, Greg, what's going on, man. Good to see you.
21:08But I know I can wait on quarterback in this draft.
21:12And so I, I've allowed myself to say, Hey, if Drake may happens to fall to me, cool.
21:18Is it probably going to happen? And I don't think so, but it very well could happen.
21:23It wouldn't surprise me. Jane Daniels is still on the board.
21:27I can, I can stack him. And then if all else fails, if those two guys don't come back to me, I'm not worried.
21:35I still have the opportunity to grab Bo next later.
21:38So I'm taking Jacobs. I'm not, I mean, look with Josh Jacobs.
21:42I don't think a suspension's happening. And with Jacobs, I think if there was no suspension talk at all, if none of
21:50this happened in the off season, Jacobs is probably going right behind Derrick Henry in the second round.
21:56He's a two, three turn pick. And so if that, and then obviously there's been the Marshawn Lloyd where people have gotten excited about him and that's fine.
22:05Like I have Marshawn Lloyd. I think he's, I think he's a, a top, top handcuff right now in fantasy.
22:12I think, I think he has some standalone value potentially too.
22:15Um, but overall, like I, I like Marshawn Lloyd a lot.
22:19Um, but I like the suspension plus Lloyd has, has kind of clouded fantasy managers judgment where to me, like getting Jacobs
22:26in the fifth round, like I just, that, that discount wouldn't be there if there wasn't all this going on.
22:33And I don't really think, like I said, I just don't see the suspension happening.
22:38We've seen so many times. Quinshawn Judkins got into that issue last year.
22:42We've seen Rashi Rice, um, you know, Josh Jacobs, I'm not a lawyer, but you know, it seemed like maybe there's more evidence here.
22:50I don't know. I can't really speak on it, but, uh, I'm going to take the value on Jacobs all day and I'll live with it.
22:59Right. I think there's, there's risk reward in everything.
23:02And for me, Jacobs is totally, totally worth the risk, uh, for the reward and the payoff that we're going to potentially get here.
23:10Um, but it was hard to pass up. I mean, look, Terry was the tough click and obviously Drake may goes there.
23:17That was the one thing I was going to say.
23:20I said, I was, I was looking, I said, I don't see Trevor and Henderson go yet.
23:26And then once I said the click on Henderson, I said, maybe there's a chance they take may and Henderson, but it's fine.
23:34Um, but Terry was a tough click for me because I kind of wanted to go Devante Adams and I kind of wanted to go Parker Washington.
23:43I was stuck between the two. I started running out of time and I said, I'm just going to take Terry.
23:50I have a lot of exposure to Parker already.
23:53I don't have as much between, uh, with Devante, but, um, I figured, you know, I'll take, I'll take the chance on Terry.
24:00So I took him and that was kind of the thought process there.
24:05Hey, you love to see it. And Travion Henderson, Drake may a cool, uh, neat pairing, neat stack chair where you maybe
24:12account for quote unquote, all the touchdowns. And if there's a touchdown pass connection between Henderson and may, it's going to be unique diversified.
24:20I love Jadarian price going at the six one, uh, going back to your spot just before you were able to get Josh Jacobs.
24:28Somebody went with Deandre Swift with Mononga out. Swift is looking like a superb pick, but let's cycle back one more time
24:35to another one of your picks, Pete, Terry McLaurin.
24:38We get fresh news today that the commander's offense was essentially inoperable.
24:42The offensive line was hot dog water bad with a poor showing of Jane Daniels, all the distractions that go on.
24:49And I don't like to read into those things.
24:52I like to say, Hey, we'll get to football, but what are the nerve levels for you on this commander's offense?
24:59Or do you think it's going to be noise and they can sort this out and we get rookie year Jane Daniels and that Terry McLaurin connection aligned?
25:08Yeah, I have, I have serious. Jane Daniels is, is a very tough player for me.
25:14Here. I just drafted him. It was an auction league and I got him at a good price.
25:20I do have him ranked. I have him ranked decently high.
25:23Um, it's not like I'm out on Daniels. I have him at three.
25:28Um, but he's a tough person to evaluate right now with his history of taking his, it's the way he maneuvers around the pocket.
25:36Like he reminds me of Russell Wilson a lot when, when he's running around back there.
25:41Um, you know, old, well, young Russ, um, just the way he goes back and forth to extend the play and then,
25:48and looks for a throw down field. Like Jaden does that a lot.
25:53And with the offensive line, like look, Tunsil, that's a, that's a tough injury.
25:57And the reports today, you know, did not look glowing.
26:01Uh, now Nikki, uh, I want to, I don't want to mispronounce her name.
26:05Uh, Java or something like that. Um, I'm not going to even attempt it, but she used to be on the Denver beat.
26:13So I'm, I'm very familiar. Why am I on auto pick?
26:17Why did I just get auto drafted? What the hell's going on?
26:21Oh my, I'm going to lose my mind. I didn't, I, I, I, I no clue why I was on auto draft just now.
26:28So for the audience, while Pete is tilting and I don't know how that does happen, but he gets auto drafted.
26:35Marvin Harrison, Jr. Caleb Williams goes around. It'll be interesting Pete to see who goes at the turn with Caleb Williams here for your next pick.
26:44Is there any idea that you have for Marvin Harrison to pair with anybody else?
26:49You're not going to have, of course, Jacoby Brissett.
26:52Jeremiah Love is long gone. Trey McBride is gone.
26:55Have you been drafting any Marvin Harrison? Maybe this is a accidental gift from the fantasy gods.
27:01I saw a recent beautiful catch and basically the note and thought and theme that came out of it from Marvin Harrison, Jr.
27:08Was that he's getting his confidence back and a confident player like Marvin Harrison, Jr.
27:13To me, he's really a momentum player. Once he starts stacking wins, the pressure comes off.
27:19And then I think he pushes and maintains that pressure to push down failure and push up success.
27:25But I think when he gets into a rut like he has the first couple of years of his career and it
27:32hasn't fully taken off, I do think between the ears, Marvin Harrison, Jr.
27:36does get in his head. I'm going to stop you there for a second.
27:41Yeah. Yeah. So the nice thing about the NFFC is they have a really, really good admin team.
27:47So they just rewinded the pick for me. I wanted Sutton.
27:51So I was able to contact them in time and they just they just rewinded it back.
27:56So incredible. Hey, just a couple of weeks ago, Pete, we had the team admin team there helping out supporting and somebody
28:04had not shown up to the draft and they were just on it.
28:08And it might have been two people and they got them in there and it worked out and it happened.
28:15So, hey, there goes Marvin Harrison. Maybe that person was tilting.
28:18So the right thing happened. OK, and the analysis you got out of Marvin Harrison, Jr.
28:24But I like the idea of you now have Waddle and Sutton.
28:27Is it a layup stack here for you to go and tackle Bo Nix?
28:32It is. I don't know that I need to take Bo here, though.
28:36I can I can I can probably. I think he I think he's going to get taken.
28:42You think so? Yeah. Look at all the quarterbacks who've been who've gone.
28:46I don't think he comes back to you. I'm going to push it.
28:51OK, push it and it'll be fun. It'll be fun to see because I'd love to see him come back.
28:57Yeah, I'm going to push it. I'm going to know.
29:01And you know what? I'm going to push it and I'm going to go ahead and take R.J.
29:07Harvey. I know. I know. R.J. Harvey. What a what a drastic change from your draft last week to my draft this week.
29:14And this is something that we can. I think we can talk about here because it'll be fun because.
29:21You know, he. Last so last week for those that did watch the show and I'm looking at the chat that's going
29:28on back and forth in the actual draft room.
29:31So sorry. I'm a little distracted. But last week, R.J.
29:34Harvey was the last running back for the Broncos selected and he went off the board at like pick 120.
29:41You passed on him for Jonah Coleman, Jay. And I thought it was a mistake in real time.
29:47But thoughts on your position with Jonah Coleman. I'm glad to give mine, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.
29:54Harvey obviously catches the nice touchdown like a day or two after on the roll on the wheel route flashes that.
30:01And I think the fantasy community kind of wakes back up a little bit on Harvey and it's like, holy crap.
30:08Wait a minute. This guy had 12 touchdowns and was a second round pick for Sean Payton last year.
30:14Maybe there is something still there with him. So just just your thoughts on Harvey and the Coleman situation, because if you're
30:21looking back on it, you took Coleman ahead of him and Harvey was still there at like 120.
30:27Would you looking back, would you have changed that or do you still feel pretty firm on your positioning?
30:33From my positioning, because my full position is I'm all in on the Denver Broncos backfield.
30:39Our very own podfather, Matt Kelly, he's all the way in on some J.K.
30:43Dobbins in Dynasty formats. And I think he's coming around big time on Jonah Coleman.
30:48But the idea simply is going back to and this is what's so much fun about doing content.
30:54Pete, one of our first shows you and I did together over on our Dynasty channel, we were talking about sells and buys and most common trades.
31:03I think it was Dynasty stock market and it was RJ Harvey.
31:07And I was kind of seeing him as a sell.
31:11You were seeing him more as a buy side.
31:14And the one thing that got me to not liquidate of RJ Harvey in my Dynasty formats and the other thing that
31:21kept me getting 13 percent RJ Harvey in best ball formats.
31:25Is the fact that you don't want to miss out.
31:28Whoever hits for the Denver Broncos backfield, you want one of these three.
31:32Maybe it's two of these three. So I have the holistic philosophy of if I'm picking one, I'm not picking against the other.
31:40I'm picking more for what can happen for my team.
31:43So I love the Denver Broncos as an offense in entirety this year.
31:48But I really enjoy that backfield. One of the top O-lines in all of football, Pete.
31:53And I will say depth chart wise today as it is, it's J.K.
31:57Dobbins. It's RJ Harvey. Coleman is going to get some deference and love from the coaches.
32:03But week one, I don't expect Jonah Coleman to be the guy.
32:07So it's more of a predictive bet in a bigger tournament where I'm going to get a huge payoff league winner because Coleman can fit both roles.
32:16Dobbins and Harvey, the pass catching, the rushing. And funny enough, redraft season.
32:20Pete, I know we love some redraft. I just had in a .25 PP points per carry.
32:25I said PP. Points per carry, .25. I took Harvey and Coleman with the idea, hey, I'm going to scoop up the entire backfield.
32:33I did the same thing with Price and Charbonnet.
32:36I didn't have to make that decision. In a closed 12-team league, I don't mind at all handcuffing.
32:42And actually, I was listening to Theo Gremminger. Shout out to him.
32:46Theo was talking about the concept recently of stacking with running backs, not being afraid to have two backs on the team.
32:54And philosophically, if RJ Harvey and Dobbins or RJ Harvey and Jonah Coleman, Pete play different roles, why doesn't it reason to
33:01you want one guy on the team maybe week 15?
33:04You want the other guy week 16? Because it might be a different game flow and structure script.
33:10So, did that answer your question? It did. I still disagree in that.
33:15I love Theo. I think in a best ball format, totally, totally makes sense.
33:19But I just know sometimes offseason, we think a lot about strategy.
33:23We think about all these things. But then sometimes we're not physically feeling it because we're not in the season.
33:30And that struggle of which one do I start on the same team is miserable.
33:35If you had Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet last year, you were miserable.
33:39Absolutely miserable. It was not a fun experience. I mean, it could work out.
33:44Not saying that Blake Horner and Kyron Williams, that could absolutely work out this year.
33:49But it's just a matter of the not knowing when to start sucks.
33:53Now, it's nice if you're like, hey, I'm just cuffing my guy.
33:57And if the starter goes down, then there's less competition.
34:01And I have the backup who I think goes and gets that full role and doesn't have anybody really strong beneath him really nipping into it.
34:09But I just don't want to be stuck in a situation where I'm fighting for that.
34:15The other thing I would say with Coleman is I like Coleman.
34:18But it's tough because with rookies and with young guys on a team like Denver that doesn't have many holes, it's hard to project.
34:26Like I like Pat Bryant. I like him more in a basketball format.
34:31I like him in deep 14-man leagues. Like I've picked him in 14-man leagues.
34:35Like that's understandable. But, you know, it's hard to project guys getting starting roles and impact roles in season when they're young
34:43because they don't have a lot of opportunity to show out.
34:46What is going to make Denver give Coleman 7, 8, 9 carries in a game outside of an injury, right?
34:53And now you're banking. Dobbins has had issues staying healthy.
34:56So that's really the clear bet here. And I'm talking and I'm trying to avoid bringing up the fact that I pushed
35:04it with this Denver stat and it's getting close.
35:07So we shall see. If it doesn't happen, I still have some pivots.
35:11So we'll be fine. But that's just my overall thoughts on the Harvey, all this whole experience with Denver.
35:17I think people have jumped the shark a little too much on Coleman.
35:22I like Coleman. But it's just one of those things.
35:25If you draft a guy like Jonah Coleman in redraft, I get Bo Nix for the audio side.
35:31If you draft Jonah Coleman and his ADP is now pushed up to the 130s near some of these other guys that could be useful, right?
35:40You're now stuck saying, I spent decent enough draft capital on this guy and he's going to be a complete zero for me until halfway through the year.
35:49I'm okay with doing that with guys like Travis Hunter or guys later on in my build.
35:55But it's really, really hard to justify for me having those and owning those roster clogs so far.
36:01I also got to say, there is a player.
36:04So I get to get Bo Nix. So we stack Denver.
36:07We're good there. I get the stack. We got Corlin Sutton.
36:11We got Harvey now. And we have Jalen Waddle with Bo Nix.
36:15So that's good. There's a player, though. I don't want to jinx it.
36:19There is a player that is very close to falling to me.
36:23And I would be ecstatic if this guy comes back to me here.
36:27Okay. I'm not going to say the guy's name until you're on the clock.
36:32Let me do one guess. Yeah. And then you can tell me if I'm wrong.
36:37Is it Casey Concepcion? No. No, no, no. No, man.
36:40Okay. Fine. It's good. We got to differentiate. Very good job.
36:44Sam LaPorta. Great pick. Love the buildup. I was in suspense because I'm like, hey, what's the pick going to be?
36:51Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. I'll just say one last thing to tie that up.
36:56Then we can run to our little ad break.
36:59Yep. But you go to about round 10. And I'm willing to bake in that risk, that upside, just because at that
37:06point, especially in a basketball format, I'm fine with taking stabs.
37:10And the funny thing about it, though, is we're going 30 rounds here.
37:14When we get to guys who are in rounds 25, oh, there goes Concepcion.
37:19So we were right on the nose on that.
37:22When it gets to about round 25, you're sitting there like, damn, can this guy give me one or two weeks of some kind of pop.
37:31But let's hear from the podfather regarding NFFC. The NFFC.
37:34My favorite high stakes fantasy platform. Why? Third round reversal.
37:37Kentucky Derby draft slot allocation. So it's a lottery based system where you can put in your preference where you want to draft.
37:45It's full PPR. There's three receivers. It's the best place to play fantasy football, especially for high stakes.
37:51And now they've combined with the FFWC. They have a lot more contests to offer.
37:56In fact, they have a double crown bonus where you can join the NFFC primetime.
38:01And if you win that, 300 grand. You can also join the Circo World Championship.
38:06And that's 200 grand. You win both. You win a million dollars.
38:10So go to playNFFC.com slash profiler and check the show description for a number of promo codes you can use.
38:16First time 100 to get 100 bucks when you sign up.
38:20But also, every time you sign up for a new contest, we give you codes to use to get discounts on those entry fees as well.
38:29Thank you to the NFFC. They make our podcast network what it is.
38:33We are proudly supported by Nathan & Sons, makers of Underbrush Remineralizing Gum.
38:37The Nathan & Sons folks sent me some of this gum.
38:41And when you taste it, it's like, oh, this is what real flavor tastes like.
38:46It just didn't feel fake. It had a texture and a taste of what real gum should be.
38:52Because I've tried other natural gums. And the flavor does not pop like it does with Nathan & Sons.
38:58And the flavor doesn't last. My favorite flavor is Cinemastic.
39:02I also feel like my jaw's in better shape.
39:05Not doing as much clenching with my teeth. And what's funny is it's made with hydroxyapatite.
39:10The same mineral your tooth enamel is made from.
39:13And the best part is a chewing gum that helps take care of your teeth in between brushing.
39:19And critically, there is no plastic in this gum.
39:22It's made from natural tree sap. And if you want a simple daily upgrade for your teeth, head over to NathanAndSons.com and check out Underbrush.
39:30And get 30% off your first order. NathanAndSons.com to get 30% off.
39:34And while we're starting back up, nice t-shirt, Pete.
39:37What do you mean? What's wrong? We're kind of matching, I guess.
39:41Is that why? Yep. Yeah, mine's not the v-neck.
39:44I'm not a big v-neck guy. I'm not a big v-neck guy.
39:48I got the chest hair. You got chest hair, too.
39:52Yep. But I just, nobody wants to see that from me.
39:55I am Italian, so it does fit, you know, with the v-neck, with the chest hair.
40:01Hey, question. Are you Sicilian? Are you Sicilian-Italian or just like Italian?
40:05Italian-Italian. Not Sicilian, no. All right. I'm Sicilian, so we've established that.
40:09So let's break down. It's been a minute since we kind of talked a little bit of the board.
40:15We've been discussing topical players, Pete. But going through your team, I'll just read off.
40:20You've gone anchor running back Kenneth Walker. Chiefs with the most vacated carries in the NFL.
40:25You love to see it. Doesn't sound like that is such an injury.
40:29It's just the proper footwear for Kenneth Walker. A.J.
40:32Brown, who you took ahead of Justin Jefferson. Jalen Waddell.
40:36Terry McLaurin. Round five, Josh Jacobs. Cortland Sutton. This is where it gets wild.
40:40You've gone round six, seven, eight. Sutton, Harvey, and Bo Nix.
40:44So you have a quad stack of Denver Broncos, Pete.
40:47And then Sam Laporta at nine, who you love.
40:50Tell us about this team. Drew Petsting. Throw in Jared Goff.
40:54Connection to Sam Laporta. Can he return to tight end one overall?
40:58Break down this team. How do you like it?
41:01Yeah, I actually really like this team so far.
41:04We've got to figure out what we're going to do with getting a second quarterback.
41:09There's a couple of things. I do want to say the Sam Laporta thing.
41:14This is why it's very important to just understand what you're reading with some of these injury reports.
41:20It's been nauseating seeing some of these things. Josh Downs, speaking of injuries, Josh Downs goes in the 10th round.
41:26This is a player that consistently went in the 80s, but now he's dealing with a calf.
41:32He was dealing with something else prior. It might have been a hamstring.
41:36But with Laporta, perfect example. Laporta got more of a stinger in the hip.
41:41It had nothing to do with a muscle tear or a muscle pull or some sort of, hey, maybe he was compensating
41:48because of this back surgery or something to that effect.
41:52If you listen to my show with Jeff Moeller on Player Profiler, we talked about him last week.
41:58And if you listen to Jeff on Twitter, he's a great follow.
42:02And he talked about Laporta and he said, this is not something I'm worried about.
42:07It doesn't sound like it's a mechanism thing. It just sounds like it's a bruising kind of thing, a deep bruise probably.
42:14And Laporta is back at practice this week. And we're getting Laporta here in the 9th round.
42:19And I'm a big Laporta fan this year. So getting Laporta 9th round, continue to have his ADP slip.
42:26It's crazy. The differences between home leagues and this ADP, it always fluctuates because in home leagues, the problem is sleeper ADP is terrible.
42:34ESPN ADP, terrible. The best ADP is like NFFC, these real live drafts because you're getting real market sentiment.
42:40And it sucks because a lot of times in these home leagues, people see names that they recognize and the ADP is
42:47pushed up and guys like Sam Laporta go at like pick 60.
42:51But like Sam Laporta on underdog, on any best ball draft I've done, Sam Laporta gets pushed down to like pick 85 in that area typically.
43:00And so it's nice to get him here in the early 100s on a nice, nice cheap value.
43:06I'm sure the Jared Goff owner is a little bit upset with me.
43:10He took Goff there in the 8th round and he probably thought he would snake back to him.
43:16Didn't happen. But, you know, you snooze, you lose.
43:19I do have a quarterback in mind here, Jay.
43:22Yep. Just from a standpoint, so it's Malik Willis, it's Cam Ward, it's CJ Stroud, it's Bryce Young, it's Jacoby Brissett.
43:29I mean, it's not great. Quarterback that I, the two guys I'm looking at here, Jay, are Malik Willis and Stroud.
43:36I'm of the opinion, I have filled up the cupboard enough on wide receiver and running back.
43:42And I got my tight end that I could double tap quarterback here if I really wanted to.
43:48Malik Willis and Stroud both have cheaper stacks. I could get, you know, the tight end on the Texans with, not Ferguson, Schultz.
43:56I always confuse them, but they both play for the Dallas Cowboys.
44:00But then you have Boutte now, you have Jalen Noel.
44:03Well, with the Dolphins, there's still a ton of cheap players there too.
44:07So interestingly enough, I'm going to go with Malik Willis though.
44:11I have him ranked higher than Stroud. His pairings are cheaper.
44:14I don't have to, you know, stress and press to take Stroud, who I'm really not a big fan of.
44:21And we can do what we always do in these, Jay.
44:25We can take some guys behind. I can take Jared Stidham later if I'm worried about Bo Nix getting hurt.
44:31You know, there are ways and paths. But we'll see who comes back to us.
44:36Because I got to tell you, Jordan Tyson's still on the board here, Jay.
44:41And last week we reached up to go get him.
44:44And now he's available possibly for me at the pick 122.
44:48And this is exactly the area that I'm comfortable taking a chance on Jordan freaking Tyson right here.
44:54If he doesn't end up mounting to anything, Jay, who gives a crap?
44:58Getting nearly 11th round though is just insane value.
45:01It's like we're talking about Jonah Coleman, right? We're past round 10 and we have just high upside here in full effect.
45:09Just of note, the Jared Goff person does have Amon Ross St.
45:13Brown. So hats it to them there. They got the front end stack for player for the skill position player to their quarterback pairing.
45:21And then Mike Washington, who's topical, he goes in round 10 and finger to the pulse on NFFC ADP.
45:27Mike Washington was not going in round 10. He was going several rounds later in all handcuffed territory.
45:33It's crazy. It's crazy. I get just a funny feeling where the Raiders head coach, Clint Kubiak, says, Ashton Janty, he's on the mend.
45:41We're not getting like full on. It's not quite prayer circle, Pete.
45:45It's not devastation. But I think there's just going to be some early season viability for somebody like Mike Washington.
45:52But I will say, versus everybody else in this contest, I don't think you're getting much of an advantage, Pete, in round
45:5910 versus all the other people who you're swimming uphill against.
46:03So this person, team three, is going to have to make so many other ripple effect picks later on in their draft
46:10to offset the advantage that they might be playing with more information and getting somebody like Mike Washington.
46:16But all that's to say, you went and we kept it away in case people were watching and listening to us.
46:23You went and got yourself some Jordan Tyson. So I love that pick for you.
46:28Round 11. Tell us about it. Jordan Tyson, what's a bullish case?
46:32Are you thinking, hey, you're only missing a month of the season and it's wheels up week five.
46:38And then we're getting kind of like Odell Beckham Jr.
46:41Rookie season. It's on site immediately. It just took a few weeks.
46:45Yeah. I mean, look, with Jordan Tyson, you know, at the end of the day, he's my wide receiver five.
46:52So for the audio side, it's Kenneth Walker, AJ Brown, Jalen Waddell, Terry McLaurin, Josh Jacobs, Cortland Sutton, RJ Harvey, Bo Nix, Sam Laporta, Malik Willis, Jordan Tyson.
47:01So we talked about the Denver stacks. I'm very well stacked up on Denver.
47:06I don't need to press anything there anymore. And then obviously Malik Willis with Dolphins.
47:11We got some work to do. We had nobody paired up with him, but we know their guys are cheap there.
47:18With Jordan Tyson, as my wide receiver five, he could miss the first week, first month of the season.
47:24He could miss the first month and a half.
47:27And I'm still okay with taking him here. This is what the discount was for.
47:32And Jordan Tyson returns. If I get, think about it this way, in this format, if I get three or four weeks
47:39of Jordan Tyson, where he gives me 16 points, 16 points, right?
47:4315, 16 gives me a spike week. Maybe he gives me a 20-point outing.
47:48And maybe we're talking more 14, 15, 16. He's going to give me, like, that makes the pick enough for me, in my opinion, right?
47:56In a start through wide receiver where you need the upside.
48:00Like, I'm okay with that. Like, honestly, if that's all I got from Jordan Tyson was four weeks in my lineup of
48:0716 points each of those games, I'm good with that as my wide receiver three if he slots in because that's where I would assume he would go.
48:16So, I'm happy with it. You know, this is where, you know, we talk about risk-reward here, Jay.
48:22I mean, there's really no risk and all reward with taking Jordan Tyson in this kind of format at this spot.
48:29So, I'm happy about that. Rashad White goes off the board at 132, Jay.
48:34Ja'Kory Krosky-Merikos at two spots, three spots ahead of him.
48:37Ja'Kory's not practicing. He's got a lower body injury right now, Jay.
48:41And both of these guys have pretty much fallen.
48:44Market sentiment on them. A lot of times they're typically going at that 110 area.
48:49I can tell you specifically, you know, with those two running backs and kind of where they've gone in this past week,
48:57Jay, with Rashad White, he's got a pick 120.
49:00So, he's fallen 10 spots here. This is actually the latest he's gotten drafted in the last four days.
49:06126 was the most recent latest he's gone. And Ja'Kory Krosky-Merikos is going at 117.
49:11And the latest he's gone in the last four days is 129.
49:15So, this is both of these guys' latest drafts.
49:18I think, if I'm adding this up correctly, it was Ja'Kory at 134, 133, 132, 131.
49:23Yeah. Ja'Kory at 129. He matches his latest pick.
49:26And then Rashad White, this is a new latest pick for him in the last four days.
49:32So, Morgan's kind of down on them both. Travis Kelsey, a really nice value too there.
49:37I wanted to note him. I actually, ironically, had Jalen Coker and Rashad White both starred in my queue, and they both
49:45go back-to-back to that one owner in team one.
49:48I didn't think either of them were going to come back to me.
49:52It was just wishful thinking, Jay. But overall, what are your thoughts on the team, on the board?
49:58Any specific thoughts as we're kind of rounding out and getting close to my next pick here?
50:03Well, it seems like most people are fortified with their quarterback position, shy of it looks like team one.
50:10So, it'll be interesting to see the third wave of quarterbacks, the people who make sure that they get a third quarterback
50:17who have two that are still out there. We're one of those teams.
50:21And I like all the values that are kind of presenting their way.
50:26You know, take Travis Kelsey. Going in round 11, you had highlighted and pointed that out.
50:31Travis Kelsey, Pete, if he gets five more touchdowns next year, up to 10, which is absolutely attainable for somebody like Travis
50:38Kelsey, a regression in that favor, another 30 points, he would have been the tight end two in fantasy football last year.
50:46So, Travis Kelsey, great pick. I kind of have him, I think I have him either ninth or tenth in my rankings.
50:53It's tenth. I have him tenth in my redraft rankings.
50:56And my thought being, he can easily creep into the top five, just hitting the marks that he had on targets in his receiving yards.
51:05And just those touchdowns can manifest such a better finish with Eric Biendomey coming back.
51:10It'll be very interesting to see how it runs through.
51:13We like it for our team, Kenneth Walker, and then this person's team and Travis Kelsey.
51:18We did have one question from Greg in the chat, though.
51:22And I think it's a good topical because of where we're at in this draft.
51:27Do you have a set amount of players in each position in mind in a best ball draft?
51:33So, for this NFFC, we have 30 rounds. We'd like to get three, maybe four quarterbacks.
51:38Probably about three tight ends. And then we've been working on our defense and kickers, Pete, where we definitely want two of each.
51:46Maybe three of one being the defense. Or three of the kicker and then two of the defense.
51:52Just a pendulum there. Then I would just venture to say it's about 50-50 even split the rest of the way between receivers and running backs.
52:00And depending on how you like to do it, it's a three wide receiver format.
52:05And let me know what you think, too, Pete, if you want to reinforce any of this.
52:11If you get enough early on receiver, it gives you flexibility in those last 15 rounds to really chase high upside cuff running backs.
52:19Because the most direct handcuff type of position shy of quarterbacks, which can happen as well, is a running back position.
52:26We can try and say it's going to be Isaac Tesla for Jameson Williams.
52:31But it's not as direct, Pete, as Kamani Vidal for O'Marion Hampton.
52:35So, a little bit of what I said. What do you think team build-wise?
52:39Did I cover it pretty well? Is there anything that you want to enhance or clarify?
52:45No, I think you covered it pretty well. And a lot of what you shared is similar sentiment and strategy for me.
52:52So, yeah, we can move on there. I do want to note I did just get Jonah Coleman.
52:58So, I was nervous he wouldn't come back to me.
53:01All this talk about Jonah Coleman, and we were able to get him back to us.
53:07He goes at the very close to the end of the second round.
53:11Our first defense goes off the board here. Some guys on the board at running back.
53:16Jay, Tyron Tracy, Aaron Jones, Keaton Mitchell, Woody Marks is available.
53:20I do like Dylan Sampson a lot. This may be the time to take defense, though, with the way the board is going, Jay.
53:28It feels like the board right now is feeding off of each other.
53:32We saw all these quarterbacks go off the board.
53:35It feels like it may be time to hit the defense.
53:39And typically, we don't draft defense that high, but I think we may have to go that route right now.
53:46Do you want to go all in Broncos? If you have the Broncos run game and their defense, there's correlation there from a DFS angle.
53:54Yes. Yes. And we swear that's the last pick.
53:57You know, Pat Bryant will not get selected no matter what.
54:00Maybe. We'll see. We'll see. The only thing we'll have to look out for is bi-week diversification on the defensive front.
54:07And then I think we're looking out for team build, a third quarterback who we think is viable.
54:13So, hey, shout out to Mad Dog. What is up, man?
54:17What's up, man? You'd love to see it. And I like where we went.
54:22The seal was broken. We're on the front end of a run.
54:26A third defensive is now gone, Pete. So, I like the way we're going.
54:30Look at how the quarterbacks, if you look at this draft board, everybody panicked when quarterbacks started to go.
54:37I could easily see people panicking and just a run on defense starting to happen.
54:42We just saw the Rams go behind me. I did consider Woody Marks.
54:46I'm not a crazy Woody Marks fan, but this late's not bad value.
54:50I mean, his ADP is usually in the 130s.
54:53A little bummed that Marshawn Lloyd didn't come back to me there, Jay.
54:58That was a little bit of a mistake. I know I took Tyson with the value.
55:03A little bit of a bummer there not being able to cuff Jacobs with Lloyd.
55:08But still overall, really, really like the running back room.
55:11It was still a possibility to get, you know, Emma Johnson.
55:15There are a couple of questions in here that I do want to go ahead and grab really quick.
55:21Brett, and then we're going to take a quick break once we answer these questions.
55:26Brett said, what's up, boys? Sorry, I missed the start.
55:30Seriously, though, how is Dave Flowers, the highest paid wide receiver in football?
55:34Jay, why don't you answer that? Yeah, this is all just market.
55:38It's just market. Whoever's turn it is at the time to get the contract, they push up.
55:44So you have to be ecstatic. Like when Alec Pierce got the bag, so many receivers who are either at his level
55:51or supremely talented hire were just ecstatic. This is all a market thing.
55:55Don't look at it as the top paid player is necessarily the best player, but they're pushing market.
56:01This team kind of sucks. Well, we can dive into that a little bit in a moment.
56:07But all you need to know is from a player's angle, it pushes things forward, which at the quarterback position, when you
56:14hear all this talk, Pete, about CJ Stroud, $70 million, and whether that was true or not, you know who screws it up?
56:22It is the players like Tua who get an insane payday.
56:25The guys who get $50 million who shouldn't. The guys got a big payday too, and it didn't look good.
56:32Now, it did look good last year, but it didn't look good for a while, and he didn't do much to deserve it when he got it.
56:41But a lot of times these quarterbacks don't do much.
56:44I mean, honestly, if I'm the Texans, I'm Stan and Pat.
56:48You know, Stroud has – Stroud, $55 million. I understand how the contracts work.
56:53I understand how the market works. But the truth is, you know, Stroud has not done what Nix has done, who's going
57:00to be up for a contract soon. Stroud hasn't done what Jaden Daniels has done or Caleb Williams.
57:06All three of them have been able to lead their teams deep into the playoffs and not because they were carried.
57:13Stroud has had an amazing, amazing defense. And just don't get me wrong, it was a tough, tough group of guys to play with.
57:21They had a lot of injuries in the last playoff game with the Patriots.
57:26But to be fair, he also crumbled and did not do well under that pressure.
57:31So, you know, it's tough to justify a contract like that.
57:34And the truth is, like, he's – I mean, they haven't won a playoff game in the last two years with him.
57:42So, I don't know. I mean, yeah, they've gotten there, but it's on the back of an amazing, amazing defense.
57:48And he just – it's bad when you look at the fact that he hasn't been as good as he was his rookie season.
57:56And you sit there and say, do teams have tape on him?
58:00Is that part of it? I think it's a mixture of the offensive line stinks.
58:05And it's been bad. Not totally his fault. And then also, I think teams do get tape on players and do understand what rattles players.
58:13And clearly defenses understand what – how to get to C.J.
58:17Stroud. And it's been working. Hey, and one thing to tie up to go back before we hit a break.
58:24Yep. All the receivers, I'm telling you, Jamar Chase, Amon Ross St.
58:28Brown, George Pickens, Malik Neighbors. Take all those players who you want in a category.
58:33It could be Justin Jefferson again when he goes off again this year to reset.
58:38When they look at, say, Flowers, they're excited and ecstatic because now the marks that they can be hitting, if they're outpacing,
58:45they're flowers, that's just even better and ebullient for them from a contract standpoint.
58:50So it's more of a market thing. And I just think it was a funny question.
58:55It made me laugh from that standpoint. But it's a valid question, but it's more market-driven.
59:00So it doesn't always add up to what the player is.
59:04And we've seen teams mess up all the time, which is why the Texans, they could absolutely mess up because they have
59:11one-itis where they feel stuck with who they're with.
59:14They want to date the player. They don't want to marry them.
59:18But because of the construct of how the NFL is, they fold and they give in.
59:24So I wish more teams would just say, no, we're going to give you $35 million because that's about where you're at right now.
59:32Take it or leave it. But until teams do that, it's always going to push up.
59:37But, yeah, we can hit that break button. Yeah, we'll come right back.
59:41Stay with us. And make sure you guys hit that like button if you're enjoying the show.
59:47I very much appreciate you guys supporting us. And we'll be right back.
59:51The NFFC, my favorite high-stakes fantasy platform. Why? Third-round reversal.
59:54Kentucky Derby draft slot allocation. So it's a lottery-based system where you can put in your preference where you want to draft.
60:02It's full PPR. There's three receivers. It's the best place to play fantasy football, especially for high stakes.
60:08And now they've combined with the FFWC, they have a lot more contests to offer.
60:13In fact, they have a double crown bonus where you can join the NFFC primetime.
60:18And if you win that, $300,000. You can also join the Circo World Championship.
60:22And that's $200,000. You win both. You win a million dollars.
60:26So go to playNFFC.com slash profiler. And check the show description for a number of promo codes you can use.
60:33First time 100 to get $100 when you sign up.
60:36But also, every time you sign up for a new contest, we give you codes to use to get discounts on those entry fees as well.
60:45Thank you to the NFFC. They make our podcast network what it is.
60:49We are proudly supported by Nathan & Sons, makers of Underbrush Remineralizing Gum.
60:53The Nathan & Sons folks sent me some of this gum.
60:57And when you taste it, it's like, oh, this is what real flavor tastes like.
61:02It just didn't feel fake. It had a texture and a taste of what real gum should be.
61:08Because I've tried other natural gums. And the flavor does not pop like it does with Nathan & Sons.
61:14And the flavor doesn't last. My favorite flavor is Cinemastic.
61:18I also feel like my jaw's in better shape.
61:21Not doing as much clenching with my teeth. And what's funny is it's made with hydroxyapatite.
61:26The same mineral your tooth enamel is made from.
61:29And the best part is a chewing gum that helps take care of your teeth in between brushing.
61:35And critically, there is no plastic in this gum.
61:38It's made from natural tree sap. And if you want a simple daily upgrade for your teeth, head over to NathanAndSons.com and check out Underbrush.

61:50Hey Pete, did you want to talk about... Let's just, for the audience, read off how ass this team is, right?
61:57Because this team is low-key ass according to... Who was it?
62:01What was their name? Shock Azulu 12. Shock Azulu 12 says our team.
62:05Spock or Shocker? Yep. Low-key ass. So can you read off this low-key ass team?
62:10It's all good. Yeah, so we got Nixon, Malik Willis for the quarterbacks.
62:14Running backs, Kenneth Walker, Josh Jacobs, RJ Harvey, Jonah Coleman, Emmitt Johnson.
62:18Again, start three wide receivers. We did cuff. Now Harvey and Coleman are cuffed as well as Kenneth Walker and Emmitt Johnson are cuffed.
62:26So we unfortunately did not get to cuff Josh Jacobs.
62:30And then a wide receiver, AJ Brown, Jalen Waddle, Terry McLaurin, Cortland Sutton, Jordan Tyson.
62:35I mean, it's really hard to do much better in this kind of format at wide receiver when it's pushed up so high.
62:42So yeah, I mean, I'm happy with that. And then we got Sam LaPorta and the Broncos defense.
62:48I like the team so far. You know, there's a guy that I have in mind next that I'm going to, you know, slightly reach on.
62:57But I'm comfortable, I think, taking him ahead of his ADP.
63:01I don't know if he comes back to me because of the way that the draft board sets up.
63:07But it's going to be Adani Mitchell. I do want to talk about AD Mitchell a little bit, Jay, because it looks
63:14like AD Mitchell has a firm grasp on this wide receiver to roll.
63:19And I know people are going to sit here and kind of say, the Jets, they're ass.
63:24They're not good. You know, why would you want AD Mitchell?
63:28But the truth is, Garrett Wilson obviously dealt with that injury last year.
63:32You know, there's really not much talent outside of Garrett Wilson, right?
63:36I mean, it's really just Garrett Wilson and Brees Hall.
63:40So if this offense, I got to be honest, like the Geno looked sharp in that preseason game going downfield like that.
63:47The offense looks good. And I am. I've always been a fan of Frank Reich.
63:52I've always felt like he's gotten a raw deal.
63:55I thought he was dealt a really, really crappy situation when he went to Carolina to be head coach there.
64:01He was the one that wanted CJ Stroud, and they ended up drafting Bryce Young.
64:06That was that whole issue that they had there, Jay.
64:10But so I think Frank Reich, I'm bullish a little bit.
64:13I'm getting a little bit more bullish on the Jets.
64:17Not over my skis on them because I still am behind on consensus for Garrett and Brees Hall.
64:23But I'm starting to move them up by rankings a little bit.
64:27But I do think A.D. Mitchell could be interesting.
64:30If this Jets defense is still not very good and Geno is competent and they're playing from behind, A.D.
64:36Mitchell could have some spike weeks. I mean, you look at what he did last year.
64:41Like, he did have games where, you know, he gave us, like, some pretty good production with the Jets down the stretch.
64:49I think he had, like, two or three games there at the end.
64:53So A.D. Mitchell, I take him. Is it a little high?
64:57Maybe. His ADP is 190. That would technically have been before it came back to me.
65:02So I'm happy there. Other wide receivers that were available were like Trey Harris, Jalen Naylor, Juwan Jennings, Ryan Florinoy.
65:09I would have considered Trey Harris and Ryan Florinoy.
65:12Those were guys I thought about, Jay. But ultimately, I go with A.D.
65:16Mitchell. What are your thoughts on A.D. Mitchell? I know we keep saying we're going to go back to Michael, so we
65:23will grab Michael's question in a second. But what are your thoughts on A.D.?
65:28Yeah, and just so everybody's clarified, Pete is very willing to reach around on A.D.
65:33Mitchell. So just so you know, high on A.D.
65:36Mitchell is podcast Pete. Yeah, I like that pick a ton.
65:39Look, last year I had, like, a five, six-ticket parlay that hits for about $600.
65:44It was a story narrative ticket that I had where it was like Daniel Jones, two touchdown passes, Warren, a touchdown catch,
65:52something on yards and something on an A.D. Mitchell touchdown.
65:55And he throws the ball at the pylon. Heartbreaking.
65:58But maturity has just been the issue. I love A.D.
66:01Mitchell. I've got him in a couple spots in Dynasty.
66:05I've been clicking him in some best ball drafts as well.
66:08I love that pick. And Theo, Theo Grumager, shout out to him.
66:12He was mentioning something about the idea of A.D.
66:15Mitchell is probably going to be one of those first couple week waiver wire hits where, hey, he's going to hit and
66:23people are just going to bid up. You might as well draft four.
66:27And the beauty is we have to think like redraft in this best ball format, Pete.
66:32A.D. Mitchell, we got to get him on the team already.
66:36We can't factor in a waiver wire. We have to play our perceived waiver wire.
66:41So we're predicting and hoping and envisioning in this team layout, A.D.
66:45Mitchell is going to hit for us. And if we can get the Cardinals east with the Jets this year and Geno
66:52Smith can do what Jacoby Brissette did last year, so much is going to be good for both Brees Hall and Garrett Wilson.
67:00And then, A.D. Mitchell, just that secondary shaving of a player who we don't expect.
67:05We just think only it can be top heavy on such a quote unquote bad offense.
67:10But I like where your head's at. It's going to surprise people.
67:14Omar Cooper is struggling. First round draft pick. Very tough scene right now for him.
67:19It's not over. It's just not really the best.
67:22And Kenyon Sadiq has been dealing with a hernia recovering from that.
67:26Hopefully that opens up the window for him as well.
67:30But in two wide receiver sets where the Jets are going to throw much more in my God, it's not Justin Fields.
67:37This is just going to be so excellent. And you tie it all in great with Frank Wright.
67:43I love what's going to happen for A.D. Mitchell and the entirety of the Jets offense.
67:48So Tony the Tiger. Great pick there. And now let's get to.
67:52It's been a while. Michael, thank you for your patience.
67:55He mentions good draft guys. I was thinking Knicks would not come back to you.
68:00Have you noticed people just not stacking this year?
68:03Been really frustrating. I get you get money for winning the league.
68:07And then I think he had another follow up to that.
68:11But it's a it's an overall tournament and a ton of people just talking or taking somebody like Joe Burrow on stack is just crazy to me.
68:20Your thoughts, Pete? Yeah, I get it. But the only time I really understand the unstacked stuff is like later, like in
68:27and it went to QB two and you take them unstacked and you're like, I'm taking Malik Willis.
68:33I'm just going to try to pick up the scraps because Malik Washington and Caleb Douglas go there for whatever reason.
68:40That person double tap both Miami wide receivers there with Josh Allen.
68:44That's really the only other caveat. You take Allen and and where DJ Moore has now been pushed up the board lately.
68:52You know, it's sometimes hard to get DJ Moore on the way back, but you can still easily get like Dalton Kincaid.
68:59This is a situation right here. You look at the Josh Allen drafter.
69:03They have nobody stacked with him and he only gets Fernando Mendoza.
69:07So this team one drafter and this is what happens.
69:11You take luxury picks here where you take quarterback and tight end in the top four rounds.
69:16And now you're kind of chasing other positions. And now he also missed out on stacking everybody.
69:22So, I mean, unless he's going to take some really, really crappy players on Buffalo, like, you know, I don't know what the thought process is there.
69:31But again, I don't mind taking Allen unstacked if it just doesn't go your way.
69:36But then to have no QB two really and it's Fernando Mendoza is a little sketchy.
69:41But, you know, you're not going to really have any high end stacks there.
69:46Now, I am going to take a stack here.
69:49I will go with Greg Dolcich. Greg Dolcich. I'm not a huge fan of Greg Dolcich, but the target targets are there for him.
69:57He has issues staying healthy. I haven't don't have much exposure to him, but he is inside my top 20 for tight ends.
70:04It's a good time to take him. I get the stack with Washington.
70:09I mean, with Miami. So, I take Dolcich there.
70:12And, you know, the one thing I will say about this team that we've got pretty lucky on, Jay, is the bye weeks.
70:19I mean, the bye weeks are really, like, not an issue at all.
70:24If you look at the team here, quarterbacks, no conflicting bye weeks.
70:28Running backs, no conflicting bye weeks outside of obviously having the handcuffs.
70:32For the wide receivers, no conflicting bye weeks. Not a single one of them have the same bye except guys on the same team.
70:40And then tight end, same thing. So, we've actually lucked out tremendously.
70:44I don't really draft. I don't care about bye weeks.
70:47I got to be honest with you. I think worrying about bye weeks, especially in redraft formats.
70:53I understand in best ball, you need to have somebody and you don't get to do add drops.
70:59So, you have to keep it in mind, Jay, to an extent.
71:03But even in redraft, like, I don't let bye weeks get in the way of drafting a player I really want to draft.
71:10I'll figure it out when the bye weeks come.
71:13And normally, when you draft in these best ball streets, you don't want to factor in too much on the bye weeks.
71:21It tends to sort itself out enough. Where you really want to look at it is the quote-unquote onesie positions at the quarterback position and at tight end.
71:30And usually, the amalgamation of what you have at running back and receiver sorts itself out all the way up to the flex spot.
71:38So, unless you have something heavy, which in your case, you could investigate and look at.
71:43Hey, man, I got a lot of Denver Broncos.
71:46I should just take a double look, a little glance in the rearview mirror there at something you can do.
71:53And funny and oddly enough, Pat Bryant goes one pick before you.
71:57I'm not going to ask you if you would have taken him or not.
72:01But going back to Michael's question about the stacking, part of it is, if you don't imprint and click a quarterback when
72:09there's no stacking partner, you're going to end up not having them.
72:13A prime example would be, if you don't get one of George Pickens, CeeDee Lamb, and then throw in Javante Williams too if you want.
72:21If you apply the, I'm not going to pick Dak Prescott now, you could find yourself never, almost never getting Dak Prescott.
72:28So, for me, there's an imprint of you still click some of these quarterbacks when you don't have a front end stack
72:36for the fact that you can get them on the back end stack.
72:40A player for Dak Prescott would be like Ryan Flournoy and more obvious would be a target magnet in somebody like a Jake Ferguson.
72:48So, sometimes it's eye of the beholder, what appears evident, like, hey, this guy doesn't have any stacks.
72:54Just consider it's less common. Another one would be like Devonta Smith and, depending on the format, sometimes Mekhi Lemon and then Jalen Hurts or their adjacent.
73:03And you say to yourself, hey, if you don't have Smith or Barkley or even Mekhi Lemon, why go after Hurts?
73:10Well, you could go and get Dallas Goddard and get something unique.
73:14So, that's my thought on that. Yeah. No, I think it's a good point.
73:19Dallas Goddard's interesting too. Reports coming out today that, you know, the rookie over there with Eli Stowers is not looking –
73:26I think the report's a little overblown. I'm not saying the report's wrong, but they say that he's unusable.
73:32Look, Eli Stowers might not suit up for a couple of weeks to start the year.
73:37But, overall, we knew he had some concerns with his blocking.
73:41And, overall, they took him second round. I don't think that this – I don't think that they're sitting here saying, we
73:48can't get this guy on the field. He's just not going to be good.
73:53They'll figure it out. So, they've had so much success with tight ends over there with Philly.
73:59Yes. We'll grab this question. Said, thoughts on stacking tight end rooms in best ball like the Chargers?
74:05More teams running two tight end sets? And tight end in flex has been hitting more.
74:10Could be salary-based. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, it depends on the team.
74:15Like, if you were to talk about the Rams, if you did this with the Rams tight ends last year, you'd be very happy.
74:23Because the Rams tight end room combined, if they were one player, would have been like top five tight end last year.
74:30So, in that case, it works. The other issue is there's just not a lot of guys that if the starter goes
74:37down, that there's anybody that's really good enough to step in and be a producer consistently and earn targets as a tight end.
74:45So, that's really my thoughts there. I mean, the Steelers have some good tight ends with, you know, Fryermuth and some of the guys over there.
74:54But that – how much do you want the Steelers passing him?
74:58I think they're a little underrated. But, you know, it's just a matter of like how much exposure do you want to
75:05like the tight end two and the tight end three on that team?
75:09Like, I don't know. It's a good question. I just don't find myself saying I really want to corner a tight end room specifically.
75:17Michael Mayer is a good one in my opinion.
75:20Michael Mayer is a good one. Especially if you are Bowers, Draft, or Jay, and you do have Fernando Mendoza.
75:27Like, if I was this team, team one that has no stacks and has Fernando and Josh Allen naked completely right now,
75:34Michael Mayer is a cheap pick that I'd be trying to circle at some point.
75:39But team one is very – this is a very confusing build for team one here.
75:44I'm not trying to be mean, but I guess I just am a little bit lost on the process here.
75:51They did get some nice followers in Rashad White, Josh Downs, and Coker.
75:55But, again, this is a – in a format like this, you really need to have stacks if you're – I think
76:03Michael put it a great way before. Sometimes people are focused on winning their league and not focused on winning the tournament.
76:10And to win the tournament, you're going to need – you're going to need stacks.
76:15I mean, it's going to be very hard. Look at how many – the guy that won BBM last year, Best Ball
76:22Mania, I mean, it was hinged on a lot of that Bears and 49ers game.
76:27I mean, that was huge. So, that was a lot of stacks in that game, and it was like tons and tons of points in that game.
76:36So, yeah, that's kind of my thoughts there, Jay.
76:39Just taking a look, I want to talk about the team real quick.
76:44I just drafted Kamani Vidal. Just in my thoughts, if Campton does go down, Vidal is going to be the guy that gets the majority of the touches.
76:53Keaton Mitchell is already dealing with an injury. He's been out for a couple days now.
76:58That has not been something that has been unusual for him historically.
77:02I'm not a Keaton Mitchell guy. I've been very vocal about this, Jay.
77:07And I still have concerns about the durability. And if Hampton goes down, you know, that's who I want.
77:13I want Kamani Vidal, for sure. Yeah, I think it's a very good pick.
77:18And I actually am a little bit excited at the prospect of, okay, three becomes two.
77:23If Keaton Mitchell happens to be out for a little bit, Kamani Vidal becomes an extremely good value pick.
77:29Although the redundancy in roles, Vidal and Hampton is there a little bit, kind of like the Dobbins and Coleman thing.
77:36But granted, I think Coleman can do kind of a little bit of everything.
77:41But it still exists where it's like the role play.
77:44There isn't a pure pass catcher like Keaton Mitchell behind him that I'm aware of.
77:49Going back, though, to Team 1, I would maybe advise they could get somebody like Jack Betch to go with Fernando Mendoza.
77:56And with Deshaun Stribling, maybe a diversified crazy, if somebody else doesn't take him, Mac Jones, for what I call a custodial
78:04build, where you get a backup quarterback who can come in and be leveraged to clean up sometime in the season or
78:11in the playoff weeks when you need them. So I call that a custodial build where you anticipate a backup quarterback, kind
78:18of like we do with these running back cuffs.
78:21But it's a little more viable, though, in super flex formats to me.
78:26But because you're in this spot, Team 1, that's where I would go.
78:30And to go back to the tight end position, I love that you mentioned Michael Mayer for stacking.
78:36Bowers, Mayer, I think would be awesome. But the only thing is, if the viability is going to hit for somebody like
78:43Michael Mayer, the war value on all the players who went in Brock Bowers range, you're missing out on.
78:50So part of it is when you make a pick, you don't want to bet against that pick with later picks.
78:57And sometimes there's layers to justifying why you took picks to stack with other players.
79:02But you almost don't want to bet against yourself.
79:05So a lot of what we've done, like if you scroll up all the way to the top, Pete, and you start
79:12off with Kenneth Walker and on down to McLaurin and Jalen Waddell, round two, A.J.
79:17Brown, you're making the bet that you're correct and you're right with those picks.
79:22So what you do later, depending on how you want to layer the team, is how you want to layer your upside.
79:29Does that make sense? Yeah, no, it makes a lot of sense.
79:33And I think there's a lot of philosophies with best ball.
79:36I think there's tons of ways you can go about it.
79:40And for me, this year, especially in this format, I'm anchoring down at running back.
79:45That's been a lot of my process. And I'm taking a lot of these three receivers because it just opens up the
79:52late quarterbacks that I can just go to because there's a lot of guys that, like, for example, I took Jalen Waddell
80:00because I knew Bo Nix could be there. I also took, you know, Drake May or I also took A.J.
80:06and Terry because I said, you know what, if one of those guys fall past their ADP, Jaden or Drake, I will
80:14go ahead and scoop up one of those guys if they fall past their ADP.
80:19I do want to make a note. I did take the Saints defense with my last pick, the second to last pick.
80:26And we're now seeing this defense run here. So we want to at least make sure we have two defenses.
80:33We're going to shoot for three. But Saints defense has been one of my most owned defenses in fantasy this year, especially if you're not drafting one high.
80:42They have a phenomenal, phenomenal schedule. It's a tough place to play there.
80:46And I think that offense is going to give that defense a break this year.
80:51I don't think they're going to be an amazing defense, so to speak.
80:56But I think for fantasy, it's definitely one that I've just really enjoyed drafting.
81:00So I take them there, J. And then I take Antonio Williams from Washington.
81:05I've been vocal about him, J. I know you like him, too.
81:09Antonio Williams, I had him ranked as a first-round rookie pick after the draft.
81:14I think I had him at the 112. It was where I ended up having him.
81:19And people thought I was crazy. And I said, look, I had him over Omar Cooper Jr.
81:24Now, again, nothing has happened yet, J., to victory lap or say, I was right on this or right on that.
81:31But the point is, Antonio Williams looked phenomenal in camp.
81:35There's just so much. It's unfortunate that Stephon Diggs signed there because I think Antonio Williams would have had a major, major role.
81:42I think Antonio Williams could have been the best rookie for fantasy football this year at the wide receiver position.
81:49When you look at Carnell Tate, the issues that they're having a little bit in this rocky start to preseason and everything else.
81:57You look at Jordan Tyson with the injuries. You look at Makai Lemon with his injuries.
82:02Now, he is running with the ones. And he had a nice wheel route catch out of the backfield, which I love, love seeing that utilization for him.
82:11But I think Antonio Williams would have had a case for putting up the most production for the wide receiver position for the rookies this year.
82:20But I like it. I have Terry, who's older.
82:23If Terry was to go down, Diggs could play on the outside if he had to.
82:28I don't love Diggs in an X-roll, so to speak.
82:32I'm not saying he's going to play that X-roll if Terry was to go down.
82:37But I have Antonio Williams as a contingency. I think he's going to be involved.
82:42I think he'll have one or two big spike week games.
82:45And I'm just really high on the talent. I think they're going to find ways to get him utilized in this offense.
82:53That, to be completely honest with you, outside of Terry and Diggs, you know, Bill's still unproven.
82:58He had an okay season. Rashad White, I like as a cheap player.
83:03He's a good pass catcher. But it's not like he's the most talented player in the world either.
83:09Like, they still lack talent. Chigga Conkwell hasn't really proved anything.
83:12So, Antonio Williams, I think will find his way onto the field, Jay.
83:17And so, I'm happy to take him where I did.
83:20I really like that. And we saw a beautiful highlight.
83:23Late hands catch for a touchdown. Defender draped on him.
83:26And the eyes didn't give away the ball. And the body didn't give away the ball.
83:32That's something we see in some elite college prospects where we're tracking to the NFL.
83:37And a little less heralded. Maybe it's because Clemson has kept some players down with, you know, their struggles the last couple of years.
83:45And still excellent talent. And I like the way you have the layered build in this commander's offense.
83:51We had a draft recently where we had both Bretton Strange and Parker Washington.
83:55And the idea, thought, process being we have two key pieces of an offense.
84:00While it's not stacked with Trevor Lawrence, we have good pieces of a good offense.
84:05And granted, we did talk about it earlier where the offensive line, it looks untenable, inoperable, tough, dog water.
84:11Just today, about the commander's offense. But if we believe in them bouncing back this year, let's just say they're a top half offense.
84:19And be optimistic that they can be a top 10 offense.
84:23You're getting two pieces in. The alpha, Terry McLaurin.
84:26And then a layered play in round 19, Pete.
84:29Where you don't have to decide when to start Antonio Williams.
84:33Just kind of like the talk you were giving about Jordan Tyson in round 11.
84:38Jordan Tyson in round 11 only has to hit X amount of weeks for you from that vantage point.
84:44It's not 8th round or 6th round Jordan Tyson anymore.
84:47It's an 11th round pick. So the beauty is with Antonio Williams, with Stephon Diggs being pushed in there, it allows him
84:55to go here now in round 19. Where he's more ambiguous.
84:58He could fall anywhere between round 17 and 22.
85:01And people would probably be like, yeah, that makes sense.
85:05You know, so it allows him to hide in this periphery.
85:08Yeah, no, I'm with you. I just, by the way, took team kicker.
85:13Michael, I'm going to get to your comment in a second.
85:16We're going to take a quick break. And then I will go over my last two picks on the other side.
85:23The NFFC. My favorite high stakes fantasy platform. Why?
85:26Third round reversal. Kentucky Derby draft slot allocation. So it's a lottery based system where you can put in your preference where you want to draft.
85:35It's full PPR. There's three receivers. It's the best place to play fantasy football, especially for high stakes.
85:41And now they've combined with the FFWC. They have a lot more contests to offer.
85:46In fact, they have a double crown bonus where you can join the NFFC primetime.
85:51And if you win that 300 grand, you can also join the Circle World Championship.
85:56And that's 200 grand. You win both. You win a million dollars.

86:19Thank you to the NFFC. They make our podcast network what it is.
86:23We are proudly supported by Nathan & Sons, makers of underbrush remineralizing gum.
86:27The Nathan & Sons folks sent me some of this gum.
86:31And when you taste it, it's like, oh, this is what real flavor tastes like.
86:36It just didn't feel fake. It had a texture and a taste of what real gum should be.
86:42Because I've tried other natural gums. And the flavor does not pop like it does with Nathan & Sons.
86:48And the flavor doesn't last. My favorite flavor is cinemastic.
86:52I also feel like my jaw's in better shape.
86:55Not doing as much clenching with my teeth. And what's funny is it's made with hydroxyapatite.
87:00The same mineral your tooth enamel is made from.
87:03And the best part is the chewing gum that helps take care of your teeth in between brushing.
87:09And critically, there is no plastic in this gum.

87:24We have six likes on YouTube. If you guys are enjoying the show, please give us a thumbs up.
87:30Again, it helps us out tremendously. Shout out to NFFC for them sponsoring these drafts.
87:35Great, great platform. If you were watching before, I did get auto-picked for whatever reason.
87:40I was on auto-pick and I reached out to the admin in the league chat.
87:45Very, very easy. They paused the draft. They reversed it.
87:49And they asked who I wanted. And it was that easy.
87:52So really, really good team that they have over there with NFFC.
87:56Can't speak highly enough about Greg and those guys over there.
88:00So shout out to those guys. Really, really like the platform.
88:04Really enjoying these drafts this year. But I took kicker and defense with my last two picks.
88:09So I took my third defense and I took the Rams kicker.
88:13Rams kicked the highest amount of extra points last year.
88:17And a very, very high amount of field goals last year, Jay.
88:21So I just said, you know what? I'm going to take them.
88:25I have the Rams in terms of kicker-wise. I have them decently high in my rankings.
88:30I have Mevis at like 16. There's other guys you can go after that have quote-unquote better kickers.
88:36But overall offensive environment, I just went with it.
88:39I'm sure that's not going to be our last kicker.
88:42And we'll explain that in a second. But I did also take Cleveland Browns.
88:47I was a little bummed out. I've actually taken the Jets, which is going to sound crazy to hear people say I'm
88:54bummed out that I didn't get the Jets defense.
88:57Jets defense did make some improvements though this year, Jay.
89:01And I think they could be a little bit sneaky better this year.
89:05They also have a phenomenal schedule. And so do the Colts.
89:09Colts have a really good schedule too. So I've tried to back those guys.
89:13If I don't get the Saints and a lot of top teams fall and I can't get the Jags or the Chargers,
89:20of course, then I kind of shift to like Colts or the Jets.
89:25But then I take the Browns. And I have the Browns ranked 10 this year.
89:30And there was only like four defenses left. So I was pretty surprised that the Browns were available, Jay.
89:36They got some talent over there. So I was happy to grab them.
89:40And we're going to take probably two more kickers at least, you know, three kickers, three defenses.
89:46That was something that we're starting to kind of ensure that we grab and make sure that we have, of course, at least two and two.
89:55So that's kind of the vibe here, Jay. But let's get to Michael's comment.
89:59He said, I get it. It's more to take team nine.
90:03Burrow super early. Herbert kind of early. And not a single receiver, it does cause these quarterback runs.
90:09And it just hurts every team's chance overall. And so I just noticed a lot more this year coming from Snipes, Lamar
90:16and Herbert in this one team six. Yeah. Just taking a look here.
90:21Who did the Burrow team? Yeah. Burrow ends up getting naked.
90:24Yeah. Like he's like you pointed out, no, no stack with Burrow and no stack early with Herbert.
90:30And then when you scroll down, they take Bryce Young.
90:34But if you look at their entire team, team nine here, this entire team does not have a single player on the
90:41Bengals or the Chargers, if I'm reading this correctly.
90:44And they take Herbert and Burrow. So that definitely can be a little frustrating.
90:49And that definitely changes the board. And that's like every draft, Jay.
90:53Unfortunately, like, you know, everybody has a plan until they get hit in the mouth, right?
90:58Like we always think we're going to do this when we get to the draft.
91:03And then your league is crazily valuing one position.
91:06And you either decide, hey, I'm going to chase like everybody else's.
91:10Or you say, I'm going to pick up extra value elsewhere.
91:13And I'll figure out that position later. Typically, I hope that happens more like tight end and quarterback.
91:19And in this situation, it does happen with quarterback, Jay.
91:23But that's everything. And by the way, we got a kicker run here, too.
91:27I mean, the last, what, seven picks? Six of it, five of them?
91:32No. Six out of the last eight picks have been kickers.
91:35So. Yeah. And another thing that will happen, too, to Michael's point, I'll notice that the quarterback who doesn't have any correlation for the players.
91:44And we talked about the method of imprint and get a back end stack player.
91:49Sure. That's all fine, well and good. But it'll be like a Jamar Chase team.
91:54And then the team that's drafting on just before, just ahead of them, will snipe that quarterback.
91:59And it just doesn't fit where it's like, wow, you really did just snipe the person that was in front of you.
92:07And I don't doubt that there's people out there who are probably just like, hey, I'm going to snipe the people around
92:14me at quarterback and gain some sort of satisfaction from it.
92:18But to me, in a way, that's almost playing defensive.
92:21And it's kind of like the crab theory where it's like, hey, you're not going to get out because I'm not going to get out.
92:29And what helps to alleviate and to get around that is to give yourself a lot of outs.
92:35So like Pete had done, he had given him a Patriots, a Commanders, and then a Broncos out.
92:41And the out that was available to him ended up being somebody like a Bo Nix.
92:47So sometimes you've got to take it away from the board by diversifying some of your skill position players early.
92:53So I would venture to say if your receivers aren't all on the same teams, you're diversifying your opportunity for your quarterback who can be paired.
93:02And sometimes what ends up happening is the board dictates who you end up getting.
93:07And tonight it ended up dictating who Pete got, which I guess this team, it's slightly asked because there's too many Denver Broncos.
93:14But with that said, just on a serious note, he was given, the board gave you tonight, Pete Bo Nix, whereas another
93:22night it may have given you a falling Jaden Daniels to that effect.
93:26So it's all a matter of how you want to press it, push it, and play the room.
93:32And you also want to, as far as sniping goes, you want to have five players for four.
93:38So if there's four draft spots between you and the next pick, you damn well better have five players that you like.
93:45And you want to have even more. And if you do enough of these drafts, whether it's high stakes or some lower
93:53stakes in high volume, the benefit is when you get cornered and you get sniped, you're more malleable, reactive in real time.
94:00And you don't tilt because you have all these methods and plans for what players you're going to go and pick.
94:07Yeah. No, I think that's well said. And that's why you try to, like you said, you try to, in life, the
94:14more keys you have, the more doors you can open, right?
94:18Same concept here. You know, a craftsman, a guy that has a lot of tools around his belt can do a lot different, a lot more things, right?
94:27And so that's the goal here is to have more tools, have more keys to open more doors.
94:33And you want to set yourself up for success.
94:36Now, Jay, I have two quarterbacks. I did not get lucky with Malik Willis.
94:41I only get the single stack with him and Dulcich.
94:44So unfortunately did not get him there. I do take Jalen Noel.
94:48So that was a nice pickup for me. I thought he would have pushed up more on the board with Tank Dell
94:56and the news that, you know, he still could take some time ramping up and obviously Boutte is there.
95:02So that I guess understandably makes sense. Rashad Bateman and Devon Claiborne are on the board.
95:07I know there's some risk there with Bateman, but I'm going to take Bateman.
95:12NFL is just really weird with this stuff, man.
95:15Like, you know, with these guys, are they going to get suspended or not?
95:19Bateman looked phenomenal in the practices today with Washington.
95:22I saw a lot of clips and he was, you know, pretty much cooking everybody.
95:27He looked like the best route runner on the team today for the Ravens.
95:32So we'll see. I know a lot of people are on Jacoby Lane.
95:36We've gotten exposure to Jacoby Lane as well, who did go off the board.
95:41I think already. Yeah, he's no longer there, but we're not going to press stacks, right?
95:46I'm not going to go and take Jalen Tolbert from Miami just to get another player.
95:52Maybe if it's like my second to last pick, I'll take a chance.
95:56But realistically, Jay, I'm not interested. I did think about taking Mac Jones because we only have two quarterbacks.
96:02I tried to push it, though, and see if Jones will come back to me.
96:07Deshaun, Shador, those guys are still on the board.
96:10Maybe take Carson back later on just to, you know, give myself a chance to, you know, if they're bad, he gets
96:18maybe the back end of the season kind of thing.
96:21Yeah, just the idea that you can print points and, you know, to the effect of the team you have, you're not going to.
96:29And ironically enough, you do have a lot of Denver Broncos, but most sense you are not going to say, hey, I
96:36have to get four and five and six of players on the team.
96:41Just if the players are bad, just to fit them in, just to get a stack.
96:46So if you don't believe in that player, if one for one in a vacuum, especially here in round 23, if you
96:53think that Rashad Bateman is going to get you better points than, say, Marvin Mims or Troy Franklin, you don't want to
97:01chase them on the board when somebody like Bateman is still available to you.
97:05So I like the thought process there. You still want to print points.
97:09And at a certain point, there can be negative correlation with over stacking.
97:14But particularly when it's, I'm not going to say bad players, but guys who aren't week over week players.
97:20And Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin would fall into that category in the event that you made that pick.
97:26Like, you're not going to get an, this is like an onslaught stack of the Broncos.
97:32But to me, it fits it because you didn't force the build.
97:36I mean, Waddle saw in like, it's a really good build for where it fell.
97:41And I don't think you're, you're losing per se.
97:44And all the periphery peripheral peripherals, I think of a 40 year old version.
97:48You got to use your peripherals. All those other picks are good build base picks.
97:53And I go back to 11th round, Jordan Tyson, my God, in a tournament setting, when you play to win.
98:00I think that's just such a great pick that you got there.
98:04Yeah. And look, I mean, if you go, if you rewind the tape here and we look at the Denver stacks, I
98:11mean, realistically, two players in my first, what, three Denver players here in this pocket and then Waddle.
98:17You could make the argument, maybe I don't take Waddle.
98:21And you'd be fine with just saying, hey, I'd grab these Denver guys.
98:25And then I got Coleman later. I could, that'd be the one spot I could say, yeah, maybe, maybe don't take Waddle
98:32there and maybe go for Rice, say Flowers, Garrett Wilson.
98:36Or you could flip it where you don't go, you get Waddle because you're paying against those other players.
98:42But then maybe you go for some of those players who are in the range of Cortland Sutton.
98:48And yeah, but funny enough, all, all the price together though, according and out like RJ Harvey, that's a great pick, especially at his ADP.
98:56Yeah. And honestly, the only guy that I forgetting about, like the only guy that I could really confidently say, hey, like
99:03I have over Sutton is Chris Godwin. Godwin's the only guy that I feel like I could say, hey, I I'm okay.
99:11Taking Godwin. I'm not taking, you know, I'm not taking more of them.
99:15Not, I'm not taking BTJ. I'm not taking Alec Pierce.
99:18I'm not taking Quentin Johnston. None of those guys over Cortland Sutton.
99:22And if you've already in your head said, hey, we're going for the stack.
99:27And at this point in the draft, you look at the quarterbacks that have gone off the board.
99:33I miss on AJ and I miss on Terry.
99:36So I only have Jalen. So at this point, you're kind of saying, well, Jaden, Drake may off the board.
99:43It's got to be Bo Nix. So why wouldn't you take Sutton there?
99:47So I, and honestly too, there is enough upside in the other players.
99:51At this position that you're not pigeonholed and saying, well, you have Sutton and Waddle.
99:56And now you kind of don't have, like I have Jordan Tyson.
100:00I mean, as my wide receiver, like five. And Adai Mitchell, who you were able to reach around.
100:06Yeah. I was able to reach out. And I got, and I got Antonio Williams.
100:11So I think these three are good. This is how you do it.
100:16These are good speculative players. Running back is really more where I am a more concerned than wide receiver.
100:22I mean, Jacobs, Kenneth Walker. I could have not taken Harvey here.
100:26Harvey is the mistake pick potentially. If I was going to, if I was going to kind of look at this board
100:33and look at where I might have made a mistake.
100:37I think it's RJ Harvey more than anybody else.
100:40But I looked at the running back position. I wouldn't have minded taking Rico.
100:44I happen to have Rico ahead of Harvey in my rankings right now.
100:49So that maybe is probably the pivot point that I would say I would have preferred to go somewhere else if I could have done it different.
100:57You look at the players that went after Harvey.
101:00You're looking at, you know, it's like, again, it's just not, it's not a lot.
101:05This is a really crappy pocket of players. So, and you know why it's a crappy pocket of players?
101:12Because Casey Concepcion has not come up in the ADP pocket.
101:15I feel like he needs to come up to me.
101:19And I kid you not, Pete, to me, he's a fifth round pick in these redraft formats in these best balls at this point.
101:27It's been a misprint this entire time by about six rounds in any kind of format that you play single quarterback.
101:34When you're talking about Tate, Lemon, Tyson going in rounds five or round six, Casey Concepcion has gone in round 11.
101:41That is a dog shit price. And I'm so happy that Casey Concepcion is finally getting his credit.
101:47I believe last week, the team that we took Casey on, because we've got them at varying prices.
101:53I think we took them in round seven and we had zero Fs there.
101:57I do think that pocket in this part of the draft, Casey Concepcion could probably go that pocket where you're like, Hey, it's Quentin Johnson.
102:06It's Halleck Pierce. And you're just like, man, this is really not inspiring me getting blood flowing to the plums.
102:12It then that's where Casey Concepcion should at least be because that gets the blood flowing to the plums.
102:19Yeah. And by the way, I did talk about Jalen Tolbert and he does go, I have Casey as my 96 ranked
102:26player before I make my updates tonight and tomorrow in my ranking.
102:30So you want to know something? Go ahead. Casey Concepcion, wide receiver one in fantasy football for all rookies this year.
102:37Oh, I could, I could, I could see it.
102:40Absolutely. Yeah. When you were talking to Antonio Williams, I was like, Hey, I need to fire this one off because I've said it a few places.
102:49I want to make sure we establish that tonight.
102:52Yeah, no, I did. I'm, I'm, I'm here for it.
102:55You go Mac Jones. Oh, I'm so happy for you to tell us about how you feel and what you're thinking on the clock here in round 25.
103:04Oh, three seconds, two seconds. Click something. Yeah. Okay.
103:07Talk, talk us through it. Podcast. You go, you go.
103:11Okay. You go Mac Jones. Well, tell us something.
103:14Tell us about Mac Jones. I like that. Yeah.
103:17Mac Jones is a good pick. The kicker was kind of more of a, uh, I'm freaking out because there's only like
103:24five kickers left and we only have one right now.
103:27So I did push kicker down a little bit.
103:30And as you see, right after I took a kicker, two more to go.
103:35And this was a very heavy kick around just before me, but I take the Raiders kicker.
103:41I think at the end of the day, you know, I think they're going to struggle to get into the end zone,
103:48but they might be able to move the ball a little bit better this year.
103:53And so being in that indoor environment, uh, that it just, it made sense to go there.
103:59I needed a kicker. Um, as for Mac Jones.
104:02Yeah. I mean, Mac Jones in this format, not, not a bad pick.
104:06I take him over to Sean Watson. I take him over, uh, you know, uh, Shador Sanders.
104:12So I just avoided those, those quarterbacks completely in my head.
104:15If Mac Jones is starting at any point this season, his highs will be better than whatever Deshaun Watson or Shador give me.
104:23Right. I think like, even if those guys are playing, they're not going to be put into my lineup unless both of
104:30my quarterbacks are hurting Bo Nix and Malik Willis, um, which knock on wood that doesn't happen, uh, with Mac Jones though,
104:38like he, he could give me a good week cause he's in a good offense and we've seen how he can operate that offense.
104:46We've seen good weeks out of him. So I take Mac Jones there.
104:50I'm not, I'm not upset about it. I almost took Mac Jones when I was on the board two rounds ago, uh,
104:57just to make sure I got a backup quarterback.
105:00So, um, yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm good with that so far.
105:04I'm going to show the roster grid Jay really quick, uh, so that people can get a visual of the rooms that
105:11we have so far quarterback room, Bo Nix, Malik Willis, Mac Jones running backs.
105:16We have Kenneth Walker, Josh Jacobs, RJ Harvey, Jonah Coleman, Emmett Johnson, and Kamani the doll.
105:21Uh, this is probably about the time where I'm going to start hitting running backs a little bit more here at the end.
105:29Um, but we're pretty much on par with the rest of the league in the room here with how many running backs
105:36we have where we're pretty much about where everybody else is wide receiver, AJ Brown, Jalen Waddle, Terry McLaurin, Corlin Sutton, Jordan
105:43Tyson, Adani Mitchell, Antonio Williams, Jalen Noel, and Rashad Bateman tight end.
105:47We got Sam LaPorter, Greg Dolcich kickers. We got Los Angeles Rams and the Las Vegas Raiders to indoor teams, Denver saints
105:55and the Cleveland Browns for the team defenses. So I'm happy with that.
105:59I think right now where the focus needs to probably be Jay is tight ends and running backs to kind of round
106:06out the team as we have, uh, we got five more picks left.
106:11Yeah. And you might want to look at just another idea of another quarterback out there, possibly and maybe it's a Joe
106:18Flacco, somebody who could get some points for you and imprint into your lineup.
106:23One thing though, we could do like story time with Mac Jones is the obvious one is if something happened to the
106:3049ers, but what if something happened to, you know, in Cleveland where it's, Hey, let's, let's trade away.
106:36Yeah. Just start telling the story. Hey, if Lamar Jackson goes down and it's week four and you don't want to lost season, maybe Mac Jones gets acquired.
106:45It depends on what the price would have to be, but there's all these narratives that are out there for the different
106:52types of bills that you have where Mac Jones, people don't really, they rule out the fact that it's not necessarily going
107:00to be next year on the market for Mac Jones.
107:03Maybe it's going to be a matter of a trade pressing because we get the misfortune of an injury, but at the
107:10same time, get the opportunity of somebody like Mac Jones.
107:14And then in 30 rounds, got a lot of different players rostered on a lot of different teams.
107:20Maybe you end up with an accidental providential stack.
107:23Yeah, you could, you can fall into it. It certainly, certainly can happen, Jay.
107:27Um, I think probably for me, quarterback wise, Jared Stidham is, makes the most sense.
107:32Just backup Knicks, uh, because I have the stacks.
107:35If, if, if I, if I am taking another quarterback though, that's kind of my thinking.
107:41I mean, I, I feel like I have to add to the running back room a little bit here, Jay.
107:47That's really my big concern. Trey Benson gets cut.
107:50I'm not, I don't know that I want to pick him up.
107:54Maybe he finds a favorable room. Um, let's just show a little bit about what the board looks like.
108:01We have, um, you know, we have the Mercado.
108:04We got like Quinn Allen, Ollie Gordon, who we've talked about in the past.
108:08So did, did we get closure? Did we get closure on Gordon and right?
108:13Cause I think they both had left the last preseason game.
108:17Did we get any closure there? I don't know.
108:20Um, I can check really quick. Who are you going to click?
108:24Who are you going to click? Oh, is it me?
108:27Is it me? Oh shit. Oh shit. Oh shit.
108:30Oh shit. Oh shit. Did I get him? Did I get him?
108:34Did I get him? Who did I get? Oh, okay.
108:37Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. I got Kareem Hunt. That was who I wanted.
108:42Okay. And he just visited the Detroit Lions. Yes.
108:45Can't get away from Isaiah Pacheco. Can't get away from him.
108:48I just starred him because I look, I have no idea if Kareem Hunt to anything anymore, but Pacheco obviously dealing with that injury.
108:56Uh, and Kareem Hunt's been really good at the goal line.
109:00Uh, so, uh, you know, even the last two years.
109:03So Isaiah Davis, maybe a consideration. If DJ Giddens, Devin Neal, Adam Randall probably sticks out the most here.
109:09I think I'll, I'll think I'll take a swing on him.
109:13Jay, just because if I'm looking at the running backs in these rooms, none of these guys, none of these players here are taking a full workload.
109:22If Derek Henry was to go down, Adam Randall would be the early down back.
109:27And I think Justice Hill would be that receiving back, but we know Adam Randall converted wide receiver from Clemson to the
109:34running back position can also catch the football. So I think Adam Randall makes a ton of sense here.
109:41If I was going to, if I was going to take a player, I'll take a peek here for you, Jay.
109:48Is there anybody else? Is Seth McGowan on the board?
109:51I think he's gone. Yeah. He's gone. I thought about him too.
109:55We had a question in the chat and I'll, I'll dig it up.
109:59Somebody had something about Seth McGowan. I'll find it.
110:02Yeah. It was Malik. It was Malik Davis or Seth McGowan.
110:06Who do you prefer? I think was the question.
110:09And would we venture to think that it's Malik Davis, the Cowboys back, right?
110:14Yes. Yes. Yeah. We just heard that DJ Giddens came back from a hamstring injury.
110:19Not that that necessarily helps DJ Giddens or hurt Seth McGowan because DJ Giddens is really the, what I get the impression
110:26is behind the eight ball is DJ Giddens and that Seth McGowan just has just by virtue of just being the most
110:33recent draft pick and not messing up near as much.
110:37I think assignment wise, DJ Giddens struggles. And I loved what I saw on tape in college.
110:42Sometimes it just doesn't translate in the NFL, but I would say with the backfield for Dallas, there's huge opportunity there.
110:49And I would love, you know, Malik Davis, that pick to hit for you.
110:54So I think I would go on the Davis side.
110:57I do like Seth McGowan though. If I have to pick a backup running back for the Colts, McGowan would absolutely be it.
111:05McGowan recently talked about all the things that Jonathan Taylor has been able to teach him, just all the things that McGowan has learned.
111:13And that's pretty cool. It kind of reminds me of...
111:16It's such a jump scare, by the way. All these quarterbacks who end up going to the Rams or the 49ers go
111:23to clipboard school and end up doing excellent elsewhere.
111:26Think of Sam Darnold. So yeah, I rambled a little bit there, Pete, but did I land the plane enough?
111:33Yeah, I think so. And I think I like Seth McGowan, incredibly, incredibly talented player.
111:38Obviously had some real issues off the field in college, but was a...
111:42I think it was... Pretty sure it was Lincoln Riley that recruited him in college.
111:47Obviously had the off the field stuff and had to kind of reset his entire career.
111:53Works his way back, goes to Kentucky. But just a really, really nice...
111:57Just a really good player. And I would prefer him over DJ Giddens.
112:01I'm just looking here, though. We definitely need tight end help.
112:05I have Oscar Delp circled right now. I think he makes some sense.
112:09The other tight ends on the board, I'm going to share the screen really quick.
112:14Jay, you have Max Clare is kind of interesting.
112:17I thought about Darren Waller. He's gone. Dawson Knox, Noah Gray, Tyler Higbee.
112:22Max Clare, again, sticking out of me. I don't want Justin Jolie.
112:26Did Evan Ingram go? Ingram's gone. Ingram's gone. But Charlie Kolar was with the starters.
112:31I know Shev would hate this pick, but it's hard not to take a guy that I think is going to be
112:38on the field probably the most out of all these guys that we are seeing on the board, maybe outside of Darnell and Dawson Knox.
112:46That's a good way to look at it because beggars can't be choosers.
112:50And we get stuck sometimes. This will happen in Dynasty formats where you're shopping for your last spot on your deep roster
112:58and you're like, crap, I don't really like this player.
113:01But then you have to position it against this is the last spot on a Dynasty waiver wire.
113:07Same principle applies here. We're in round 28, 29, 30.
113:10Man, if the pig has lipstick on it, it looks good right now.
113:15So it's just something you have to do where that little differentiator where, hey, who's going to be on the field the most?
113:22If it's Charlie Kolar, then that pick looks like a million bucks right now.
113:27Yeah. A couple other guys. Matt Hibner has had a really nice camp so far for the Ravens.
113:33Is he still available? Yeah, he's available. Okay. If you want to get some upside, I would go for him.
113:40Yeah, him and Oscar Delp on the turn. I wouldn't mind double tapping.
113:44Yeah. A great, great play. Now, Oscar Delp, I think, has a hamstring.
113:48So would you want to go Kolar? He and Kolar go.
113:52So I'll go Hibner first. And then let's go.
113:55Yep, Hibner and then see if Kolar's there. If Kolar gets taken, you go Delp.
114:00Well, let's see. Delp, nursing hamstring injury. He had six targets.
114:04Touchdown. Yeah. Kolar is probably the pick. We know he's going to have a role in that offense.
114:10So he makes a lot of sense. Noah Gray's still available too.
114:14Kind of somewhat interesting, I guess. I mean, it's hard to say interesting.
114:18I think your first inclination towards Kolar. What about Zach Gertz?
114:22He's not on the team right now. I would go for somebody like Kolar.
114:26Your first initial hypothesis, I think, was on the right track.
114:30Where it's saying this guy's going to be on the field.
114:34I think you're scooping cool value because Kolar is going to get you some initial points.
114:39Hibner could get you ultimate points. Yeah. I'm with you.
114:42What about Trevor Etienne too? As someone to take later at the end here, maybe with the last pick.
114:48Obviously Hubbard's dealing with the issues. Jonathan Brooks. Maybe Trevor Etienne too.
114:52It sounds like Chuba Hubbard's going to be on track, though, for week one.
114:57Yeah. That little injury scare. And one thing that I have kind of picked up on is it seems that Jonathan Brooks isn't as good in pass protection.
115:06Yeah. And if that's a little weakness in this game, as much as we wish cast and want cast, and I've had a Chuba Hubbard fade.
115:15Chuba Hubbard gets back healthy. He may still be in some high leverage situations where he doesn't pay off crazy at ADP.
115:22But to your point, maybe Jonathan Brooks doesn't excel as much as we want.
115:27It's more of a wish casting player. And it's a frustrating 50-50 timeshare.
115:31But to go back to your Etienne premise, right now I would go under the premise that both are healthy.
115:38But again, Pulse, round 30, who was the third running back in that offense where it's been profitable for that backfield?
115:45I think you definitely consider it. Any other running backs who just have somewhat of a pull?
115:51Did Jalen write? He got picked, right? I think he did.
115:54I'm just looking to – I just want to see where Jonathan Brooks went in this draft.
116:00Take the big sticker off. And then Kendra Miller, I assume, went.
116:04Yeah. We've been monitoring that backfield in New Orleans.
116:07Brooks goes here, Jay, in the middle of the sixth.
116:10In regular formats, he's probably going around ahead. But because wide receiver pushes running backs down a little bit, Brooks is really going in the fifth round.
116:19I got to be honest. I'm not really in on the price for Brooks at the fifth round.
116:25I think it's a mistake. You know, it's not like he – this offensive line is bad.
116:31Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. Left tackle, right tackle.
116:35Both of them are injured right now for the Panthers.
116:38Bryce Young, I don't think he's a good quarterback.
116:41I just don't. And I worry about the run game a little bit.
116:45And, you know, I think taking Brooks in the fifth round just feels moronic right now.
116:51I don't know why. I mean, you know, people will sit there and say, well, you didn't watch the film.
116:57You didn't watch how good he was in college.
117:00And it's like college was two, three years ago for this guy.
117:04I'm not sitting here – I like Jonathan Brooks at pick 80, 85, 100.
117:09Like I was getting Jonathan Brooks. Like heck, I'll even consider him at like maybe the 6'7 turn.
117:15Yes. But, I mean, fifth round, Jay, you're talking about taking him ahead of guys like Travis Etienne in some cases.
117:22DeAndre Swift. DeAndre Swift. Jadarian Price. Jadarian Price. Now he goes behind those guys in this one.
117:28But it will be in that price range. Yeah.
117:31It just feels a little too much. I feel like we've jumped the shark.
117:35But I do want to also say we still got a good amount of people watching here on YouTube.
117:42If you guys are watching, give us a thumbs up.
117:45Just want to give a shout out to some of the people in the chat.
117:50Shaka Zulu, I know you don't like my team, but appreciate you sticking around and enjoying the show.
117:56Hopefully you enjoyed. Michael, thank you so much. Beebs in the Trap.
118:00Appreciate you jumping in. Albert, my guy. Good to see you.
118:04Dane as well. Greg, got a lot of love for Greg Bundy.
118:08Really, really good friend of the show. Who else do we have in here?
118:12OG Fantasy Football popped in. Good to see you as well, my man.
118:17We had Brett Bradford in here in the chat.
118:20We had an active chat today. Let Go, Let Go was in here as well.
118:25And Justin Boyd as well. So a very fun chat today.
118:28Mike Locke also stopped by in the beginning of the show.
118:32And then we had Josh to kick things off.
118:35But yeah, really, really fun show. Thank you guys so much for sticking around.
118:39If you're not already subscribed to the YouTube, make sure you do so.
118:44If you are listening on the audio side, thank you guys so much for listening.
118:49I'm going to go ahead and read off our team one more time for the audio side.
118:54If you are still here, you're crazy, but I love you.
118:58So thank you. But quarterback room, we got Bo Nix, Malik Willis, Mack Jones.
119:03For the running backs, we got Kenneth Walker, Josh Jacobs, RJ Harvey, Jonah Coleman, Emmitt Johnson, Kamani Vidal, Kareem Hunt, Adam Randall.
119:10So we get a little bit of backstacking there with Kenneth Walker and Emma Johnson, as well as Harvey and Jonah Coleman.
119:17And then we get some speculative plays. AJ Brown, Jalen Waddell, Terry McLaurin, Courtland Sutton, Jordan Tyson, AD Mitchell, Antonio Williams, Jalen Noel, and Rashad Bateman.
119:26For the tight end room, we got Sam LaPorta, Greg Dolcich, Matt Hibner, and Charlie Kolar.
119:31For the kickers, Rams kickers, Raiders kickers, Denver Broncos defense, Saints defense, Cleveland Browns defense.
119:36That's pretty much the team. And then we are going to be second to last pick here, rounding things out at the NJ.
119:44Thoughts on just everything so far? You know, these drafts tend to be a little bit different each time we do them.
119:51Any in particular thoughts? Is there anything you picked up or feel like you may have learned in this draft?
119:58I mean, I feel like we played things well.
120:01We got a little lucky with Knicks there. We did time the defense run pretty well.
120:06And yeah, I feel pretty good. And we got some good ideas of where the market is.
120:12This is why we like doing these drafts. Jordan Tyson fell to 130.
120:16Jay, you took him at like pick 90 last week.
120:20So now you kind of have an idea of, hey, it's a good chance next week when we draft.
120:26You could probably wait even an extra round or two on Tyson and get him even later unless you want to reach up and go take him.
120:35So thoughts on the draft and thoughts on everything else.
120:38You said it great. Real time pricing because Mike Washington goes in round 10.
120:43Ashton Janty falls a little bit further in this draft.
120:46He's not around one player. And that's all just recording, receiving information.
120:50And all these players are moving up and down the ladder.
120:54And just because you pay up for one player doesn't mean you can't pay down and get differentiation elsewhere.
121:00It's just that you have to make sure you get that differentiation elsewhere because so many other people have Mike Washington.
121:07A couple 10, 15 rounds later. So anywhere in that range, you're fighting uphill against those teams.
121:13But you have to make sure that the differentiated player that you're clicking a little bit later, maybe you're catching on to the new buzz.
121:21I can recall Cyrus Allen when he was starting to rise.
121:25Well, guess what? You have to find another flavor of the month as far as like the topic.
121:31Who's going to be that player who's topical, who you're going to see ahead of time, kind of like chess and anticipate.
121:38So it's very fun watching this. And then in real time, you see players who are hurt.
121:44To your point, Jordan Tyson fell. And those sorts of things are always going to happen.
121:49The level of Fear Street and proper market pricing are all in hand in play.
121:54And that's what's been fun and steady is we've been doing maybe one to two of these a week, Pete.
122:01We can see in real time the discussions that we've had.
122:04There's so much more information today than we had just yesterday.
122:08And assuming we do another one in the next week, we'll have even more information then.
122:13It's so saturated and it's amazing what's happening all the way up to week one.
122:18You know, when we get to, I think it's September 8th is the Wednesday night kickoff.
122:24Patriots and Seahawks. Can you believe it's going to be here?
122:27That's what's wild is looking at the dates, the calendar is August 26th.
122:31And I'm like, oh crap, it's about to be September.
122:35And we really are about to have football. It just doesn't seem real because it just seems like, hey, let's just keep drafting, put our head down.
122:44And we've somehow burned through August here. So it's been a blessing.
122:48It's been a lot of fun. And you go with, just for the audience, a little bit of Roman Wilson, maybe a
122:55Roman candle at the end of your draft. Yeah.
122:58Roman Wilson has, appears that he's earned the wide receiver three role.
123:02You know, he's kind of been one of the standout players in training camp.
123:07Um, and so, yeah, I figured take him here.
123:10I liked him in college at Michigan. Uh, maybe he's ready to, to finally earn this role.
123:15Aaron Rogers. We know with rookie and young players, Jeremy Bernard seems to kind of fallen out of favor so far early on here.
123:23I did consider Ty Simpson and Oscar Delp as well.
123:27Um, maybe I should have went Ty Simpson just to give me a fourth quarterback.
123:32Jay, I did want Jared Stidham, but he did get picked right ahead of me.
123:37So that's just kind of how the board felt.
123:40But, uh, this has been a lot of fun.
123:43Uh, again, shout out to the NFFC. Uh, thank you guys so much for watching.
123:48If you are still here, make sure you hit that thumbs up on the way out.
123:53Make sure you subscribe if you have not already.
123:56Um, yeah, that's really about it. And, uh, we'll see you guys next time.

124:29The Nathan and Sons folks sent me some of this gum.
124:33And when you taste it, it's like, oh, this is what real flavor tastes like.
124:38It just didn't feel fake. It had a texture and a taste of what real gum should be.
124:44Because I've tried other natural gums and the flavor does not pop like it does with Nathan and Sons.
124:50And the flavor doesn't last. My favorite flavor is cinemastic.
124:53I also feel like my jaw's in better shape, not doing as much clenching with my teeth.
124:59And what's funny is it's made with hydroxyapatite. The same mineral your tooth enamel is made from.
125:05And the best part is a chewing gum that helps take care of your teeth in between brushing.
125:11And critically, there is no plastic in this gum.
125:14It's made from natural tree sap. And if you want a simple daily upgrade for your teeth, head over to NathanandSons.com and check out Underbrush.
