0:00Hey, Coach and Pete here, NFFC Live, PlayerProfiler. We're streaming it.
0:04We're dreaming it. We're gonna crush tonight. We are here.
0:07Exciting, Pete. We're here. We finally got the 103.
0:10I'm so excited, man. The 103 in this draft.
0:12I couldn't be more pumped up right now. Team one, they're on the clock.
0:17They're on deck. The draft is gonna start very soon.
0:20And I'm so excited. I'm 103. I'm thinking if it's not B.
0:24John and Gibbs, I'm gonna go with somebody like Jamar Chase.
0:27It's 104 pre-show. We had talked about it, Pete.
0:30If it's a 104, I'm considering Amon Ross St.
0:33Brown, but I think gift horse. I'm gonna go with the 103 with somebody like Jamar Chase shy of somebody goes and
0:40tilts the board and does something different. What do you make of that?
0:44Yeah, I don't have a problem with it. I have.
0:48I have it. My rankings have it Puka Jamar, then Amon Ross St.
0:52Brown. So I'm actually with you in that I'm ahead of the market.
0:56I have St. Brown ahead of JSN as well.
0:59But I don't think it's crazy to take St.
1:02Brown even ahead of Jamar. Their schedule is really, really favorable.
1:05It's arguably one of, if not the easiest schedules in football this year with the Lions.
1:10So yeah, I don't think it's crazy. Sometimes you just gotta kind of take your guy.
1:15And especially when it's like a big tournament like this, you kind of have to take risks at times.
1:21So it's also an easy stack. If you take St.
1:25Brown, you can get Laporta, you can get JMO, you can pretty much get everybody except Gibbs pretty comfortably.
1:31So yeah, I'm with it. So just let everybody know the draft has been paused.
1:35I think they're trying to sort something out. Maybe somebody is missing right now.
1:40So we got an admin in the chat. This is how professional the NFFC is.
1:45They're making sure everybody's here. contacting the people, making sure they're here for their draft.
1:498pm Eastern. We are live. Very excited about it.
1:52And something about Amon Ra St. Brown to Pukunikua.
1:55Pete, I had said Amon Ra 4 is who I've got on my mind.
2:00And then you said something about, hey, Puka Nakua, how about him?
2:03And I'm sitting there thinking, Pete, trouble, legal trouble for Puka Nakua.
2:07That's an issue that's out there to where I just sit there and think to myself, you don't have any issue with
2:14the schedule that's going to happen for the Detroit Lions.
2:18You got the number one in on offense. You got regression that can occur for somebody like JSN.
2:23I just see it aligning so well for somebody like Amon Ra St.
2:27Brown to would it be a surprise you if we were to be at the end of the year and they say, all right, Amon Ra St.
2:36Brown, wide receiver one overall in fantasy. He has his best season.
2:40No, and like I said before, I think, you know, you, I have no really issues or concerns because you're looking to win a tournament, right?
2:48I mean, we're here, you know, trying to win this tournament, which is the best ball game.
2:54You know, you have a championship, $30,000 up top to the winner.
2:57You know, you draft in these, in these leagues, right?
3:01There's 12 total people, 12 total teams, right? And then you go into a pool at the end to see who is the highest score for the year.
3:10So 17 weeks cumulative. And so you're looking for variants and you're looking for different things.
3:15Just so, you know, people are aware, like I said, $30,000 grand prize, 800 goes to first place in your division.
3:21Second and third place also gets stuff as well.
3:24And there's also some consolation prizes. So there's a, there's a lot of ways to win.
3:29Make sure you use first time 100. If you want to get a hundred dollars off your first entry when you go ahead and register.
3:37And if you've already kind of done that already in all of our descriptions for the videos on the audio side, you
3:44can, you can see the other promo codes for player profiler where you can get some, also some discounts and some money off on your drafts as well.
3:53So Pete, we see Pukunikua go as a chalk four.
3:56Of course I take Jamar Chase chalk three. JSN pretty chalk, but I would expect team six to go towards Amon Ross St.
4:04Brown here. We shall see Christian McCaffrey still on the board.
4:07What do you make of Christian McCaffrey in this tightness, this soreness, the electric substation, things not looking good.
4:13Panic mode. We're a couple of weeks out from the start of the NFL season.
4:18Pete, are you worried? What's the barometer level one to 10?
4:22What are you sweating as far as CMC? Yeah.
4:25I mean, CMC hasn't practiced in eight days and there was Mike Florio came out.
4:29It's in speculation that he believes that CMC might be kind of holding out due to the Gibbs and B.
4:36John contract disputes. And I think it's very possible that that, that is the case here with CMC as he's getting up there in age.
4:44He did get some more, you know, he did get some more money added onto his deal a few years back.
4:50But, excuse me. We know the deal with CMC.
4:53If CMC is healthy, you know, he's going to give you a top five season, right?
4:58There's players here in this first round that we can't guarantee that, right?
5:03That you're spending high premium on draft capital. So, like, there's a world where, so we'll see.
5:08But it is an undisputed injury. They said it was tightness.
5:11Originally, now Coach Shanahan saying, at least we know he would have practice.
5:16We know he'll be on the field soon. And whether it is not to dispute or not, clearly we're not getting a discount.
5:23So there we see Christian McCaffrey goes team six.
5:26Amon Rock goes seven. Janty and JT go back to back.
5:29We continually see Janty get pressed earlier into round one.
5:33You love to see it. Jonathan Taylor, I think people expect somewhat of a regression candidate for him.
5:38But I don't think people are shy in the late part of round one.
5:43We see Justin Jefferson go team 10. And he can be a little bit of a fade for some people due to
5:50the fact that Kyler Murray, not everybody has the most faith in him.
5:54So how do you feel about this back end of round one here as James Cook goes at the 111?
6:00What player were you talking about? I was just reading one of the comments really quick.
6:05So I missed that last part. Yeah, man, you're sounding good now.
6:09What do you make of this back half of the first round?
6:13Starting with Janty at eight, Taylor Jefferson Cook. Yeah, this is this is how it typically goes is how I expect it.
6:20I have to be honest, like so lately I did a show the other day and I was talking about just each each round of the draft.
6:29And we started talking to me and John. And we were saying how after like round two round, you know, after the
6:36first two rounds, if you don't have a running back, like you're kind of screwed, man.
6:41Like it's you're really chasing and you're really banking on some some good fortune, some good luck, Jay.
6:47And so that's why I don't really mind like this turn here.
6:50Like this is how it should go. Right. Like you're seeing now Janty, Taylor Cook, Chase Brown, Kenneth Walker, Amar and Hampton
6:57have all gone in these last, you know, eight picks and two wide receivers, Jefferson and Lamb.
7:03I mean, Saquon Barker goes off the board now.
7:06Now, keep in mind, though, this is a third round reversal.
7:09So it is going to come back to this side of the board and it's a start three wide receiver, Jay.
7:16So this is a little bit of a different format than, again, what's normal where I still want to anchor down.
7:23I still think you probably need to take a wide receiver here.
7:26But we're in the one oh three spot, Jay.
7:29So that's when running back starts to kind of thin out.
7:33So it's going to be interesting to see who is left on the board.
7:37Let me ask you, Josh Jacobs. OK, who I don't expect him to go in this round, but he did return to practice today.
7:45And Jacobs was dealing with this groin injury. He returned to practice today, which was an encouraging sign.
7:51I have Jacobs as like the last running back that I feel comfortable saying, hey, that's my RB one.
7:57And I'd be like, OK, that's like just at the very end of it.
8:01And I'm not even including like like Brees Hall, Javante, those guys.
8:05I like Javante. I like those guys. But like Kyron, if those guys are RB one this year, you really, really got
8:12to hope and pray that they can give you a top 12 season because I don't see top five in the cards for them.
8:20I could see Josh Jacobs giving us a top five season.
8:23All right. On the clock, Pete, do you want Drake London, Malik Neighbors or Chris Olave?
8:28I definitely don't want Drake London. So for me, it would be to be between Olave and Neighbors.
8:34You're definitely not getting Neighbors on the way back.
8:37Neighbors went back. He went. So I'm going to say Chris Olave with this injury.
8:42Jordan Tyson, you feel like he's a good pick.
8:45Who else is available? We got 30 seconds. So we can talk.
8:48Derrick Henry, Jeremiah Love, Devonta Smith, Emeka Ibuka, Trey McBride, Save Flowers.
8:52Brees Hall. Brees Hall is available. Yeah, I mean, it would be between Olave for me and Derrick Henry.
8:58So that would be my picks if I was going to take one of them.
9:03But go with your gut. So as you were positioning prior to that pick, we'll have a little bit of time now
9:10because we have the third round reversal that you spoke to.
9:14We've been on the benefit of the other side where we've had pick 10 and 11 in the first three respective drafts we've done together, Pete.
9:22And we have that benefit of, hey, the draft gave us something, a gift in the early part of round three.
9:29That's kind of the fun part. Whereas the beginning part of the draft, we have to consider what our build is and we're at the mercy.
9:37Because I went Jamar Chase, there was a run of those running backs.
9:41And to your point, me going Crystal Lave, I like that pick.
9:45But now I may be cornered into the fact that I may be a zero running back team and we may have to do some catch up.
9:54And it may be some bulk share of maybe it's guys like Quinchon Judkins.
9:58Maybe it's guys like a David Montgomery and a Jadarian Price that I have to start patching it together.
10:04Jonathan Brooks. It's not the prettiest thing. But again, that's at the cost of I got two elite premier players in Jamar Chase, who is a slate breaker.
10:13And then Crystal Lave, who we've gotten the news about Jordan Tyson being out two months, ramping up for October.
10:19I don't even know if he's going to be ready by then.
10:23We may be having the most pure run out for somebody like Crystal Lave.
10:28And he's presenting a value to me at this stage of the draft.
10:32Granted, I'm sure there's people of third round Crystal Lave is out there, but there's ripple effects of how we build these teams.
10:39What do you make of the start here? And do you think I am kind of being cornered into zero RB?
10:46Yeah, somewhat. And then there's some questions here, so I want to pull them in just a second.
10:52But to answer what you're pointing out, the nice thing about this format, it is best ball, right?
10:57So you don't like it kind of saves us a little bit if we do get like the Quinchon Judkins, Rico Dowdle,
11:04Trevion Henderson, Ramander Stevenson type of build. Like, at least we know we're getting solid starters and we don't have to pick which one to start every week.
11:13We're in a managed redraft league. It becomes more frustrating when it's those kinds of guys when we don't have that elite guy.
11:21And it's just a mix of like three guys where we have to mix interchange which one we're starting each week and we're playing matchups.
11:29So that's one point there. I do want to grab some chats really quick from Kyle.
11:34And then I think it's Frankenstein fees or something like that.
11:37I don't know. But Kyle said, and I'll give this to you, Jay.
11:41Do you keep Josh Allen, AJ Brown, or Kenneth Walker?
11:45I don't have a first, second, or third, 12-man, half PPR.
11:48He said that those three I mentioned are dynasty players.
11:51I found I can only keep one. So I assume he means keeper players.
11:56And he's asking Josh Allen, Brown, or Kenneth Walker.
11:59Doesn't have a first, second, or a third half-man PPR.
12:02I guess I'm trying to – Yeah, throw a little more context to this.
12:06Because if this is super flex, it's likely going to be Josh Allen regardless of the price.
12:12Yeah. And if it's a late-round pick, which granted, ADPs last year, probably the cheapest player last year would have been Kenneth Walker.
12:19And you're probably going to go, what, fifth-round Kenneth Walker as a keeper in that spot if it is round-dependent and it's single quarterback.
12:27So just throw us a little more details in the chat.
12:30And when he says dynasty, do you mean keeper?
12:33And then when you're talking about first, second, or third pick, if it is dynasty, you're talking like rookie picks?
12:39Or are we talking your actual keeper picks? So just clarify that for us.
12:44And then, Jay, start kind of looking at the board here.
12:47We're going to come back to you to get your thoughts on what you're thinking of.
12:53But I'm going to pull this question. And it said from Fran, he said, is it just a coin toss between Hampton, Walker, Brown, and Barkley?
13:01Who's your favorite of that group? For me, Jay, it's really been Walker and Brown are kind of one and two.
13:08It's been Brown for a long time. Now it's kind of Walker.
13:11I don't really feel there's much of a difference between either.
13:15I'm fine with either guy. But I think those guys are clear ahead for me.
13:20And then I think Hampton and Barkley. I actually have Barkley ahead of Hampton, Jay.
13:24I do want to talk a little bit about that situation with the Chargers offensive line in a second here.
13:31But you're up on the clock. You can answer his question because I think you prefer Hampton, if I'm not wrong, Jay,
13:38because we did do a video on this recently.
13:41And it was between Chase Brown, Kenneth Walker, and Amarion Hampton for round two backs.
13:46And you picked Hampton. Is it still Hampton for you?
13:49God. While I'm on, let me go on the clock real quick.
13:53Okay. Emeka Buka has fallen to me. But Jeremiah Love is here in the third.
13:57I feel like that's a gift because of what's going on with the injury.
14:02And there's a few more receivers who I like.
14:05You say I go Love, right? Yeah, I do.
14:08I've been down on Love, but Love's like my 33rd ranked player.
14:11And so the injury doesn't move him down much more.
14:15I was already down on him compared to – this is a price that I want to pay.
14:20Yep. And we've already gotten Emeka Buka before, so I'm happy with that.
14:24But my God, this can under him. Hampton. There goes Emeka Buka.
14:28That's fine. That's okay. It's meant to be. We spoke it into existence because guess what?
14:33That person probably takes Jeremiah Love. I have a couple other people that are available to me on the wraparound because now
14:40we're wrapping around and you love to see it.
14:43But Hampton, Walker, Brown, Barkley, I love Kenneth Walker this year.
14:47The Chiefs have the most, I believe, vacated carries at the running back position.
14:51If the offense is going to run through them, I see a case for him.
14:56Chase Brown, you've made a beautiful case for him, Pete.
14:59Why wouldn't Saquon Barkley just have a bounce back, dead cat bounce season from two years ago?
15:05And then he breaks fantasy football when he does something like that.
15:08And Hampton actually may look like the most time-shary type of running back of this bunch.
15:14So I love me some O'Meara and Hampton. This is where you really want a lot of shares of different formats because
15:21it's such a chunk from Ash and Janty all the way through about Devon Achan in a lot of formats clumping into round two.
15:28Yeah. It's about to come away. It's like Pokemon, got to catch them all.
15:33All these running backs, you just cannot get enough of in one draft or five drafts.
15:38It's like you just need more drafts. Inject it into your veins, man.
15:42I hope that answers the question. While we're on the clock, though, I got Ted Arora, McMillan, Garrett Wilson, and Travion Henderson, Cam Scadbo.
15:50What do you think? I'm a little lower on Henderson now with the reports of the usage with Stevenson and Henderson.
15:56We've gotten a decent amount of exposure to him, too.
16:00And he's fallen a lot in these drafts. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a chance he's there mid-next round.
16:06So Henderson, I'm out on. Who are the other guys?
16:09Tet and who? Ted Arora, McMillan, Jamison Williams. We got Terry McLaurin.
16:13What about – is Josh Allen still available? Yes.
16:16Should I go with him? I don't really take quarterback high, but, I mean, he's falling here in the fourth round, Josh.
16:23Josh Allen, I have a rule where it's like – I mean, when the elite quarterback slip, you got to take him.
16:30That's a really nice value at pick 39 for Josh Allen.
16:33I'm going to go with it. Something different. It's not my norm, so I'm going to veer venture.
16:39It's way less pressure. DJ Moore is looking like DJ Moore and not DJ Les.
16:44He is a stacking partner. I imagine he'll go between now and then.
16:48If not, I take the gift that's there. But we know you can rattle down some other players in the Bills offense.
16:55You don't have to permanently stack in all these formats.
16:58You can get cumulative points. So, yes, there is a Dalton Kincaid later.
17:02But we can also speak to the fact that I'm setting up for a Tyler Shuck.
17:07I'm setting up for a Joe Burrow. And you're a Goff too, Jay.
17:12Exactly. Oh, well, no, you didn't take Sam Brown.
17:15You took Chase. Yeah, we talked. I got you so far down that line.
17:19But, yeah, I like that. And the pressure is off on me at quarterback.
17:23Somebody who can – you don't necessarily need correlation with Josh Allen.
17:27He can have a 30 to 40 burger where he spreads the ball around and there's two touchdowns up the gut.
17:34And there's not a lot of pressure. But funny enough, I had Tedaro McMillan on the clock there.
17:40Jameson Williams we spoke to. And they were the very two next picks.
17:44So, cannot say enough about the NFFC format, Pete, how sharp everybody is.
17:48And we got a couple different promo codes. Let's talk about this one.
17:52First-time drafters use promo code FIRSTTIME100 during your registration at playNFFC.com slash profiler.
17:56You get $100 off any initial entry of $150 or more.
18:00So, you're talking about you can have this draft, $150, cost you $50.
18:04Like, who doesn't love that, man? So, that's a great deal.
18:07And these are sharp drafters. So, been a lot of fun these last few weeks, Pete.
18:13Probably one of my favorite things is it's the Wild West at certain points.
18:17So, you never know what to expect. Some think – there goes DJ Moore.
18:22Yeah. You don't know what's going to happen. You get sniped here and then you snipe other people.
18:27It's a whole lot of fun. So, it is.
18:30It is a lot of fun. I do want to mention one thing with Hampton too because I did put this out
18:37there and I think people are overrating the Chargers just a little bit, Jeremiah.
18:42Look at this offensive line for a second. I'm going to go through it really quick.
18:47Rashawn Slater recovering from a ruptured patella tendon who we've seen a lot of guys.
18:52It's very hard injury to come back from. He's already suffered a setback in his mispractice in the past week.
18:58They have Kato Awaseka at left guard who I definitely pronounced his name wrong.
19:02He's a UDFA who just has 11 starts in six seasons.
19:06He's their starting left guard, Jay. Tyler Biotish gets carted off at practice today.
19:10He got rolled up on pretty bad. It didn't look good.
19:14Cole Strange right guard, former first round pick, Jay.
19:17But this is his fourth team in his five-year career.
19:20So, it hasn't come nearly as planned for Cole Strange.
19:23And then Joe Walt coming off of ankle surgery at right tackle.
19:27Like, there are some question marks here. And I know McDaniels is a really nice bump.
19:32But, you know, I think we have pushed them up a little high in terms of the pricing.
19:38And I'm interested to see how the market reacts as we get closer and closer if Biotish is out.
19:44So, I wanted to make a note on that because we're talking Hampton before.
19:48And I think it's worth noting because I don't really see many people talking about it.
19:53Everyone assumes that this offensive line is just going to be better.
19:57But we're banking on Rashawn Slater, you know, coming back and being the guy.
20:02And they don't really have much depth behind this offensive line.
20:05So, I'm a little concerned about that, Jay. I don't know what your thoughts are.
20:10But is that something that's crossed your mind yet?
20:13And then we're going to get to Smitty. We'll get to some of these other questions.
20:18You know, but what are your thoughts? I mean, is that something that you've looked at?
20:23And do you have any thoughts on this Chargers offensive line in general?
20:27Yeah, a lot of that news came pouring in today with the Chargers offensive line.
20:32And it just gives you nightmares of last season.
20:35And you have to think beyond just talent, what helps with offensive lines?
20:39It's continuity and year-over-year overlap where the players get snapped amongst each other.
20:43And that shuffling around, there's players who can play other positions.
20:47But that continuity is going to be disrupted. They are learning a brand-new offense with Mike McDaniels.
20:52So, I think that has to be factored. And when you're granular enough at the top, that can shuffle the pins for,
20:59all right, let's shuffle Chase Brown ahead. Let's shuffle Saquon Barkley ahead.
21:03Let's shuffle Kenneth Walker ahead. Hey, I remembered all four running backs in that scenario.
21:08So, it's so cool how granular this is. And this is why we get sharp to if you're drafting on Labor Day
21:15in your redraft, where the baseball looks like a beach ball and it looks like it's on a tee because you just are loaded with information.
21:23That we've been doing these reps since January, Pete, when some of the first Dynasty startups, some of the first best ball contests drop.
21:31And you're just going all through the Dynasty phases, the rookie class, hot best ball summer, everything that we're doing up to today.
21:38All the training camp information that is just a fire hydrant of information.
21:42And we're adjusting. And that's just how sharp it is.
21:45A few months ago, you might have said, yeah, I'll put O'Marrion Hampton head up there.
21:51But now with this little bit of information, we have to just be malleable on the fly and quick.
21:57Just like Chris Alave, we take in round two.
21:59Well, that's a way different Chris Alave late round two pick than it was just a few days ago because of what's
22:06now happened and crystallized with the information we have in Jordan Tyson.
22:10Yeah, I'm with you there. Just for the board's sake on the audio side, just so that you're aware.
22:16So Jeremiah and myself, we have Jamar Chase, Chris Alave, Jeremiah Love, Josh Allen.
22:21Josh Allen falls to the fourth round, so hard to not pass up.
22:25It's kind of like the Lamar Jackson pick for me a couple weeks ago when we were on here live, Jay.
22:32I do got to say, too, Josh Jacobs, we talked about him returning to practice.
22:36He goes in the fifth round here, Jay, at pick 52.
22:40I still am very shocked with the price for Josh Jacobs and how he has fallen.
22:45So I'm very, very much loving the fact that the market's still not very in on Josh Jacobs.
22:51You're coming up with your pick. Let's take a quick step back.
22:55Let's take a quick break. We're going to answer these questions when we come back.
22:59Jeremiah is going to make his picks. We'll talk about them, and then we'll answer your questions right after this.
23:06The NFFC, my favorite high-stakes fantasy platform. Why? Third round reversal.
23:09Kentucky Derby draft slot allocation. So it's a lottery-based system where you can put in your preference where you want to draft.
23:16It's full PPR. There's three receivers. It's the best place to play fantasy football, especially for high stakes.
23:22And now they've combined with the FFWC, they have a lot more contests to offer.
23:27In fact, they have a double crown bonus where you can join the NFFC primetime.
23:32And if you win that, $300,000. You can also join the Circo World Championship, and that's $200,000.
23:37You win both, you win a million dollars. So go to playNFFC.com slash profiler and check the show description for a number of promo codes you can use.

23:49But also, every time you sign up for a new contest, we give you codes to use to get discounts on those entry fees as well.
23:58Thank you to the NFFC. They make our podcast network what it is.
24:02All right. We are back. Jay, you are on the clock.
24:05You were on the clock. Looks like you just made your pick.
24:09So talk to us a little bit about the selection you made.
24:13And I actually love this pick. Well, I'm salivating here.
24:16I'm sitting there just one pick away. We go to the break.
24:20I'm like, hey, let's get us some Parker Washington.
24:23I have Parker Washington now in round five. I think that's the second time we pulled the trigger on him in round five.
24:30We were on the other side of the board.
24:33Oh, there goes Joe Burrow. Oh, what will I do?
24:36Somebody took Joe Burrow on me, and they don't have him stacked with anybody.
24:41Andre Yoshivas is all out there for you. On the comeback around, I was not considering Joe Burrow.
24:46I have advantage with somebody like a Josh Allen.
24:49So while we're on the clock, Jadarian Price, Jordan Tyson, Tyler Warren goes.
24:53I would have liked that. Marvin Harrison Jr., Bucky Irving, BTJ.
24:57Any of those names stick out to you. Give me the running backs again.
25:01We've got Jadarian Price, and that's about it right now, man.
25:05It's Bucky Irving and Jadarian Price. Yeah, big tear gap it sounds like.
25:09I mean, I don't want to chase these guys.
25:12It sounds like the receivers are better. Go over the receivers.
25:15You've got about 15 seconds left. Marvin Harrison, Jordan Tyson, DK Metcalf, Brian Thomas.
25:20Yeah, I don't mind taking Brian Thomas if you think you might want to take a shot on T-Law as a stack.
25:27You take Jadarian Price. That's totally fine, too. I really wasn't sold on anybody in that spot.
25:32It's really hard sometimes when I'm not visually seeing who's there.
25:36But Jadarian Price feels safe. It feels like a totally fine pick, especially if you feel like there's a pretty sizable tear drop-off right after him and Bucky.
25:45So part of my thinking is instead of compounding the advantage that I think I have at wide receiver, I have my
25:52three receiver spots filled, and then it's two running back spots that you have to fill.
25:57Love and Price, funny enough. Ha-ha. Bradley Stalder, shout out.
26:00Notre Dame running backs. You have Love and Price.
26:03I feel so much pressure off. If I sell the story of it's all Jeremiah Love, it's all Jadarian Price.
26:09I've got two stalwart backs who, you know what, later in the draft we can take upside cuff, flex cuff type players at the running back position.
26:18And I feel less pressure at the quarterback position.
26:21I got, in my eyes, our eyes, a QB1 in all formats.
26:25And we got them in the fourth round. Even though we drew blood with the first quarterback, we got them in the
26:32fourth round, which I guess there should be a run on quarterbacks, too.
26:36And while that is happening, we'll have opportunity to attack some of the other positions.
26:41And the receivers, I thought to myself with who was on the board when we're talking about Marvin Harrison Jr., Brian Thomas
26:48Jr., Jordan Tyson, DK Metcalf, Cortland Sutton. As my fourth receiver versus getting my second running back, I felt like I had better advantage.
26:55And it's weirdly enough, Jalen Warren and Jonathan Brooks go.
26:58So Jonathan Brooks was on my periphery because I knew on a 20-gap repeat he would not come back.
27:05But I like a lot of what's going on with Jadarian Price.
27:08I'm not falling for the quote-unquote banana in the tailpipe with George Helani.
27:13Now, I will say, and I've talked about this before on other shows, Pete, and let me know how you feel about it.
27:20I think this is going to be a lot like the Cleveland Browns years ago where Nick Chubb, everybody said, oh, Kareem Hunt, eight-game suspension, it won't matter.
27:29It'll be irrelevant. They'll have a bye week. It'll be like week 10.
27:33It won't even matter. What happened at the end of the season and then the next season following?
27:39Timeshare stuff. Rotation on the running backs. No full bell cow workload for Nick Chubb.
27:43There are three touchdowns rushing out there. One of them went to Kareem Hunt.
27:48The ceiling just wasn't there. I see that happening when Zach Charbonnet returns.
27:52So tell us, Pete, what do you make? I want the bullish angle when I click a Jadarian Price.
27:58But my bearish side tells me to a degree that Zach Charbonnet is going to come in and just kind of do
28:05what Kareem Hunt did years ago to Nick Chubb, cap the ceiling, not make it a bad backfield, but he's going to cap the ceiling.
28:13What do you make? Prognosis in your eyes on Charbonnet and how things will play out in Seattle?
28:19Yeah, I mean, Charbonnet, it really I'm not going to let Charbonnet stop me from drafting a running back first round in round six.
28:27A first round running back round six. I'm not really in love with Price just in general.
28:32But I mean, at this price point, like I find myself totally taking shares of him.
28:37You know, this is an offense that there's two sides of the coin on one side.
28:42Kubiak is gone. So there is a possibility that this offense does take a step back.
28:47I mean, I don't think people are really highlighting it enough.
28:51Now, new OC did come out and say that they don't he doesn't want to change really much of anything and he wants to repeat things.
28:59So, you know, we'll we'll have to see. We'll have to wait and see if the offense does take a step back.
29:06Now, we are have a couple of picks before you.
29:09Let's hammer out some of these questions really quick because the chat has been waiting.
29:14We got 21 people here on YouTube. We got a talker on Twitter.
29:18He said, how are we feeling about Godwin this year?
29:21I was a maker. No evidence. And especially for you, I've heard that they mentioned a lot this year.
29:27I'm a big fan of this guy. Not to overanalyze it.
29:31I don't know how to go too far in depth, but I've got a right.
29:36I said a six. Godwin this year. I really like him.
29:39I think he's just a PPR printing press machine out of the slot.
29:43Chris Godwin will generate 33 percent target share in his career versus I think something like 21 percent out wide.
29:50So if we get somebody like a Chris Godwin to his benefit share in the slot with Baker Mayfield, a motivated, healthy Baker Mayfield, the ceiling is roof.
29:59And as much as I love him at Kobuka, that toe could really be problematic, especially eating into the first month of the year.
30:06What's the benefit of an older player like Chris Godwin?
30:10Well, they look great. Tony the Tiger in September, those first few weeks where they've had the most amount of rest.
30:16They haven't gotten banged up. So especially for early rate, I really like Chris Godwin for the entirety of the year.
30:23I absolutely love Chris Godwin. I'm not worried about Jalen McMillan or Ted Hurst taking away from Chris Godwin.
30:29I see Jalen McMillan and Ted Hurst benefiting and pushing up this offense and making it better, having it be a deeper layer team.
30:37Kenneth Gainwell, of course, I think Baker Mayfield was speaking about how great Kenneth Gainwell is.
30:42So there's a lot of goodness on this team for some fancy outcome.
30:46So I'm thrilled, happy, excited for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
30:49And Smitty, I really like what you're saying about Chris Godwin.
30:53And I'm in on him this year. I think he's just a good pick to just generate great PPR goodness in all formats.
31:00Beautiful. I will get to Kyle's real quick here.
31:03He said it is single quarterback, Josh Allen, A.J.
31:06Brown, Kenneth Walker. He can keep one of them.
31:09Forgetting about everything else, the format seems a little strange, but we do know it's single quarterback and he can keep A.J., Kenneth Walker or Josh Allen.
31:17He doesn't know who else is going to keep, who else are going to be kept.
31:22And so the values are kind of all over the place.
31:26Just from a standpoint of A.J. Brown, Kenneth Walker, I'm probably keeping Kenneth Walker over A.J.
31:31Brown just because I expect running backs in most formats where there are keepers.
31:35Running backs will probably be kept and there's a good chance there's not many and you don't want to get left behind or playing catch up.
31:44So that's my quick advice there. Jay, I'm going to give you this question.
31:48You start looking at the board, though. I'm going to read off.
31:52Start figuring out who you're going to pick. Let me read this question off.
31:57And then actually, why don't you want to we'll hold off on Nexus real quick.
32:01Talk about what's left on the board and what your thoughts are, because you're you're up in one pick.
32:07So let's talk about that first and then we'll get to Nexus and we'll get to Kyle as well.
32:13Yeah, I'm really excited, Pete, of all the players in the queue that we have.
32:18There's still plenty of talent on the board. And did they go in front of me?
32:23Blake Corum just went. The screen is going to disappear and I'm up.
32:27I'm on the clock. And look, I love this player.
32:31And I see this is going to be crazy.
32:34This is jerking, yanking the steering wheel against the entirety of the draft board.
32:38It's movement in real time. Stimulus to us watching football on this weekend.
32:42And who is the thriller player that you want to come away with all your drafts?
32:47I don't care if you got to get them two rounds ahead of ADP, whatever format you're playing in, in your redraft streets, in your best ball streets.
32:56It is going to be Casey Concepcion and everybody else can suck it.
33:00Wow, Casey, this is high at 80. Pick 82.
33:03I have Casey Conception at 97, which is ahead of consensus.
33:0782. I'm totally OK with it, though. These formats, you have to really go ahead and reach up and go grab your guy.
33:14And if you like him, you take him. Right.
33:17We've gotten some great values. Parker Washington, Jay, your pick of him.
33:21Parker Washington was an incredible value. He's going off the board at 46 in the last seven days on NFFC.
33:27And you got him at practically like pick in the 60s.
33:31So you got a good value there. And then you reach up and go get Casey, which maybe you overpay a little bit on the ADP.
33:39But you don't know if you're going to get him on the way back, to be completely honest with you.
33:45Not on the way back on the turn here.
33:48But when it goes and snakes back to that ninth round, there's a good chance you don't get him because of this hype.
33:56I love what I saw from Casey. I love what Todd Monkens plans are with him.
34:01It seems like they're going to use him in that Zay Flowers kind of role, which is what they hinted at.
34:07So excited about that for Casey. And I really liked the usage and the utilization.
34:12And I actually kind of worry a little bit about Harold Fannin.
34:16Harold Fannin could be a guy, Jay, that maybe thrived off of not a lot of great competition around him.
34:22And there's a lot of talent in the Browns skill position group now.
34:26So that's something to monitor and something to think about.
34:30But you're on the clock here again. You take Casey Conception.
34:33Godwin goes off the board right ahead of you.
34:36So does Michael Wilson, Ja'Cory Kroski-Maripo, Nix. Where are you thinking here?
34:40You've got two running backs in Jeremiah Love. We've got four wide receivers.
34:44And we have Josh Allen at quarterback. I think I can wait a little bit at tight end.
34:50Marvin Harrison Jr., or do I lean into Jordan Tyson layering, understanding that I can get him at a discount here in round eight?
34:57And then maybe it sets up for a stack share with the Saints, but I'm getting Jordan Tyson.
35:03I'm sacrificing two months. Is that too much or should I go Marvin Harrison Jr.?
35:08I don't think it's too much. I think sometimes you want unique builds.
35:12So if you like it, go get it. All right.
35:15I'm setting myself up. I'm taking a value dip.
35:18And it's funny. Maybe I'm swapping the value that I had for Casey Concepcion with Jordan Tyson.
35:24He's going to be on the shelf, but I don't have to worry about when to start Jordan Tyson.
35:30Ideally, if he comes back in October, those two months is really just one month of the season.
35:35That can be the cope that I tell myself.
35:38I feel like I'm getting a value dip in somebody like a Jordan Tyson.
35:43We've seen now I have Olave and Tyson. Even if I don't get Tyler Shuck, I have share of the Saints offense.
35:50I'm really loaded at wide receiver. And I have four baller wide receivers, two good running backs.
35:55I feel like I can wait at tight end a little bit.
35:59I have the best quarterback in the league. For fantasy.
36:02And right now I like how the team is going.
36:05I'm not pushing. I'm not pressing in any manner at the moment.
36:09So what do you think? Yeah. I mean, look, Tyson, the past week, he's going off the board at pick 73.
36:16So this is still a value for where he's gone.
36:19Now I do expect the market to continue to drop him and drop him.
36:24I think he probably settles closer to like 110 area, 100 to 110.
36:28But we're talking about the stack here. You got Chris Olave.
36:31You got Jordan Tyson. You could easily potentially get Chuck even maybe on the way back.
36:36And then you also have the possibility of going and getting Jawan Johnson.
36:41So this is an easy team to stack. I don't have issues with it at all.
36:46Do you have a question for you though? Right.
36:48We look at the tight end position. We have Brock Bowers, Trey McBride, Colson Loveland, Tucker Craft, Sam Laporta, Tyler Warren.
36:55Those are the tight ends that have gone off the board.
36:59You do have the potential to stack Kincaid. Are you high on Kincaid this year?
37:03Is he somebody that you're on your radar so you can get a stack with Josh Allen?
37:09Or are you sitting here saying, yeah, like you said before, you don't really need to stack Josh Allen.
37:15And you'd like to if you can, but it's not necessarily a must and you don't want to maybe press to go
37:22get some maybe not as great players just to force that stack.
37:26That's a great question because right now as it sits, Kyle Pitts is still on the board.
37:31Harold Fannin Jr. still on the board. Harold Fannin Jr.
37:34could be accompanied with a Brown stack. And that could be a diversion of either Watson or Shador Sanders, depending on who
37:41we think is going to take that job. I would like your opinion on that.
37:46I think it's going to be Deshaun Watson. But reading on the board, who's left in the queue at the tight end position?
37:54It's Pitts. It's Fannin. There's George Kittle, Dalton Kincaid, Jake Ferguson, who is a target magnet.
37:59We have spoke a lot off air about Travis Kelsey.
38:02If he was a top five tight end last year, Travis Kelsey, with just five touchdowns, just on this one stat alone.
38:09If you get five more touchdowns, double digit touchdowns, 10 touchdowns next year for Travis Kelsey.
38:14He could be tight end three. It's just wild how so many people are just sleeping on him.
38:20And he is buried. Pick 121 in ADP. Isaiah Likely.
38:23There's so many value plays. Dallas Goddard. We drafted one of the teams that you had.
38:28Mark Andrews is on the board. So, again, as we're trying to build this team, there's no tight end premium.
38:34If this were another platform where it had a little extra juice to the tight end, I think we would be sitting there, Pete.
38:42Now, that's not to say, for the person who's getting Bowers round two, had Bowers come back to me with the second pick.
38:49Chase Bowers and get positional advantage? Absolutely. Absolutely. But you don't press.
38:53Essentially, if you get it, you're happy. If you don't get it, you're just cool as a cucumber.
38:59Yeah. We don't want to press stacks too much here.
39:02Going off the board, for those on the audio side, Rico Daddle, Tony Pollard, Romeo Dobbs are the last three guys off the board.
39:10Alec Pierce goes off the board. His ADP has been slipping.
39:13They're now saying that they think he's going to play week one.
39:17They did sign Keenan Allen last night. Josh Downs also goes right behind Alec Pierce.
39:22So very interesting. I've moved Alec Pierce down in my rankings.
39:25He's now pick 105, a ranking of 105. I'm not really clicking on him.
39:30I don't find myself doing that very often. Let's grab some of these questions real quick because we have a little bit of time for your next pick.
39:39Let's go to Nexus who said, hey, guys, I have a question.
39:43I drafted Jackson Dart in round eight. Majority of the quarterbacks were taken, including Herbert in round seven.
39:48Did I make a decent pick? Nexus, I hate to be that guy, but I don't love taking Jackson Dart in round eight.
39:56Round eight's like, you know, kind of depends. I mean, it's somewhere around like the 90s to 100 range.
40:02I mean, it's not the worst in the world.
40:05We'd need to know who is left and who's available.
40:08It sounds like he's saying, Jay, that there wasn't much left.
40:11But I'm not really that high on Dart this year.
40:15Um, so I think there's other players that you can get for cheaper, um, that can, are not going to be far
40:22off from his points per game difference. And may even finish ahead of him, like a packs, uh, a Patrick Mahomes, like
40:29a Tyler shock, like a Baker Mayfield, like a Brock Purdy, Jared Goff.
40:33Like all these guys feel like much better ecosystems.
40:36Um, and so I'm not super, super high on Jackson Dart.
40:39Uh, but Jay, let's, let's move on here really quick.
40:42Cause you're getting close to making your pick. I'm going to pull up one more question here.
40:48Kyle said, uh, probably hit tight end on the nine, 10 turn, which is coming up.
40:53And he sent that text message in a little while ago.
40:56Kyle Pitts goes off the board. Harold Fannin now goes off the board.
41:01We just talked about tight ends, um, with, with the way the board is settling.
41:05Now, are you considering going tight end here still, or are you probably going to continue to push the position?
41:12Man, we have so many players that we can just go with the tight end.
41:17I'm not really worried about it, but I am going to make sure that I go and get myself Jonah Coleman.
41:23Jonah Coleman will not come back. I am so thrilled, excited about him.
41:27I know you love the Denver Broncos, Pete. I'm looking at stimulus of, okay, I see JK Dobbins go.
41:33I'm going to take Jonah Coleman. There's a lot of different stack share that I want in this team or, or pair
41:40share of some players that are desirable. But I'm sitting here.
41:44I want it all. I'm greedy. I want Jonah Coleman as my RB three high upside team pressure off.
41:50I still have good quarterback outs that are going on on this team.
41:54There goes all in Kincaid. So I don't have to, you know, he's not going to come back to me.
42:01The decision is made. I don't have to, I was considering Kincaid, but I don't necessarily feel like I have to force it.
42:08I see a narrative where Allen and Kincaid, Kincaid breaks out.
42:11All of a sudden it's a great stack that you want, but I really love the fact that I can get some Jonah Coleman.
42:19And again, I think we can get some more value at the tight end position.
42:24Maybe it's somebody like Juwan Johnson, who is another beneficiary of this Jordan Tyson injury.
42:29While my first month isn't so good, maybe he's out there for me.
42:33So a lot of good tight ends and God knows we have Pete, Evan Ingram.
42:38We can always fall back on him, you know, when, when the bottom of the barrel for we have.
42:44So relax. Don't go too crazy, but yeah, yeah.
42:47We, we, we, we do have the ability to take like an Ingram and Travis Kelsey goes off the board.
42:53So you're on the pick on the clock. Now I'm going to grab this question really quick from it's a beaut Clark here and you take Tyler shuck.
43:02So we're going to talk about that because that definitely completes the stack.
43:06If you wanted to make sure you got your second quarterback.
43:09So I love that. It's a beaut Clark said half PPR.
43:13Would you take JSN or Jonathan Taylor? It's a good question.
43:17Half PPR definitely makes this feel like it's a little bit closer, but I'm still probably taking JSN.
43:22When we talk about touchdown equity, touchdowns matter much, much more in half PPR because, you know, it's not like PPR spamming
43:29where, you know, those high end high volume guys can make up for it.
43:34But JSN, even in a half PPR, Jay, I'm not worried about it.
43:38Like he's a guy that's going to have a very, very strong yards per reception.
43:43So, you know, you don't have to worry about like low, you know, guys that maybe are getting spammed with a ton of volume.
43:50Like it's the fun digs from last year where he's going for like six for 70 kind of thing.
43:56Like JSN is going to be a guy that's going to hit 100 yards consistently.
44:01And Jonathan Taylor's, I still have some question marks and reservations with him.
44:05I like Jonathan Taylor, but I'm going to take the younger, better player, even if the format typically favors running backs in half point PPR, Jay.
44:14I prefer JSN here. What do you think? And then let's talk a little bit about the board and your pick.
44:20By the way, you took Jonah Coleman and RJ Harvey was still on the board too.
44:25So that means he actually went third out of all the Broncos running back.
44:30So we'll talk about that in a second. Yeah.
44:33A lot of good content to, to queue up there.
44:36But if you believe I was listening to Rich Rebar and he was talking about the regression that can occur for somebody like Jonathan Taylor.
44:44And the stats that he read out, it was he and JJ Zacharisen.
44:48So shout out to you guys. They were talking about Jonathan Taylor and in wins, how he positions in fantasy football versus when they lose.
44:56And he is very much a go with the flow tide player.
45:00So if the Colts are running well, winning, there's correlation Jonathan Taylor to produce as a higher end fantasy asset.
45:06And he's always been a great fantasy asset, but it's so delineated between wins and losses on that physical week when you watch.
45:14I, I want to lean towards Jonathan Taylor. But when I hear about that regression, I think JSN is the pick.
45:20There could be some regression in the throw game in the past game for the Seahawks that still occurs.
45:26But I like the idea of taking JSN just slightly a little bit ahead.
45:31Now, just before we get to some of my picks and what happened with RJ Harvey, let's hear from the podfather.
45:38The NFFC, my favorite high stakes fantasy platform. Why?
45:40Third round reversal, Kentucky Derby draft slot allocation. So it's a lottery based system where you can put in your preference where you want to draft.
45:49It's full PPR. There's three receivers. It's the best place to play fantasy football, especially for high stakes.
45:54And now they've combined with the FFWC, they have a lot more contests to offer.
45:59In fact, they have a double crown bonus where you can join the NFFC primetime.
46:04And if you win that, 300 grand. You can also join the Circle World Championship.
46:09And that's 200 grand. You win both. You win a million dollars.
46:13So go to playNFFC.com slash profiler and check the show description for a number of promo codes you can use.
46:19First time 100 to get 100 bucks when you sign up.
46:23But also, every time you sign up for a new contest, we give you codes to use to get discounts on those entry fees as well.
46:31Thank you to the NFFC. They make our podcast network what it is.
46:35Hey, there you have it from the pod, Father Pete.
46:38You were mentioning just prior to the ad break, RJ Harvey, he goes third.
46:43I think that's absolutely fair. And in one sense, you can talk about the PPR element.
46:48RJ Harvey is out there talking about how excellent Jonah Coleman is.
46:52But for his own game, RJ Harvey has been speaking recently to improving in the pass game.
46:57I think the signal there is we know, reinforce, RJ Harvey knows to be on the field.
47:02He has to be a decent pass catcher and get better there.
47:06Between the tackles grinder, it's going to go to somebody like J.K.
47:10Dobbins. And the next man up is going to be Jonah Coleman.
47:14We hear Jalen Waddell talk about Maurice Jones-Drew comps for Jonah Coleman.
47:18So I'm just elevated, excited to go and get Jonah Coleman.
47:21And I'm going to be fine with being differentiated.
47:24In two pockets, we've gotten value with Parker Washington and Jordan Tyson.
47:28And then in other pockets, we've paid up on Casey Concepcion and Jonah Coleman.
47:32But I'll say, as we talked about the ripple effect of we paid up with a little bit on round two, Chris Alave versus round three.
47:41Well, we're getting a ripple effect of a completely different build.
47:44And we're trying to be unique. So I feel like we're not going chalk.
47:49By the same time, we're directionally on the map.
47:52We're being reactive to the news. Because if you look at this team, you know, Chris Alave, the Jordan Tyson news.
47:58Jeremiah Love, we get third round value in, Pete.
48:01Because, hey, there's that ankle sprain. Josh Allen falls around four.
48:05We love gifts. Parker Washington, great faller. Janarian Price, just came back to practice.
48:09He's got the job. Concepcion flew and went nuts.
48:12So, yes, I go and take him in round seven.
48:15Who knows how itchy other people will get. Jordan Tyson, we get a benefit of round eight falling.
48:21So all of this is stimulus, too, off of all the action that's going on.
48:26So there's a logic if you run down the team, even though it's jumbled a little bit with the ADP.
48:32What are your thoughts? Yeah, we definitely took some advantage of the injury news.
48:37And I talked about it on Twitter the other day.
48:40Like, you know, the people, you know, we're all victims of getting upset when we see our favorite players or guys that we like going down, getting hurt.
48:49But we really haven't seen anybody major go down outside of like Jordan Tyson.
48:53There really hasn't been anybody that's like, oh, my gosh, like this guy, you've got to drop him down super far in your rankings.
49:01But we're getting value dips like we're getting people that are going cheaper because of that.
49:06Right. Parker Washington, we got almost 10 picks past his ADP just because he's missed a couple of days.
49:12Right. So I think that's like the way to do it.
49:15I would note on the Broncos thing really quick.
49:18I do disagree with you just a little bit here.
49:22Harvey, I think the Coleman thing is more of an issue for for Dobbins than it is for Harvey.
49:28Harvey, I've said that in the past, and I still firmly believe that Harvey is going to be a guy that's going
49:35to probably carry the ball six times a game.
49:38Right. But he's going to catch four passes a game or is going to get four to five targets a game.
49:44I firmly believe that that's going to be his role.
49:47I think he's got a very strong carved out role as the pass catcher.
49:52And Coleman's really going to be more of a nag for J.K.
49:56Dobbins where, you know, he's going to eat into Dobbins's work as the in between the tackles guy.
50:01I he did struggle a little bit. Coleman in the past protection in the first preseason game, it was limited and he
50:08has looked decent in camp at it. So I'm not overly concerned.
50:12He hasn't wasn't bad there in college, but just something to note there.
50:16So we just differ a little bit there, which is not not a problem at all.
50:22I mean, this is your team. This is how you're building it right now.
50:26I'm just here in the in the co-seat and I love Coleman.
50:30I just drafted him in another draft earlier today in best ball.
50:34I did draft them a little bit further. But like you said, sometimes like ADP is not a big deal, especially in
50:41these tournaments, like reaching up and getting different builds because you reach on a player, because you get a value dip on a player.
50:48That's how you get unique lineups. And if you're convicted on a player and you feel strongly about a player, you know,
50:55it's not going to matter too much if you, you know, took them 10 spots ahead or, you know, 20 spots ahead.
51:02If you feel really confident that that player is going to be a player this year and it's going to help you
51:09win and you think that they're mispriced with where they're going.
51:13So I totally OK with that. You got another pick coming up.
51:17So I'm just going to pull questions really quick, Jay, because I know I just rambled for a second, but I want to grab these questions.
51:25You focus on the clock. You took Isaiah likely we'll come back.
51:29But let's grab these questions just really quick. Kyle seems like you really like the Jonah Coleman pick.
51:35He said he looks like a beast and a contact seeker.
51:38We got fizzle in the house. He said, what's going on, fellas?
51:42How are we doing? He said, besides Chris Olave, is there a wide receiver on the Saints to target or not really?
51:49Jay Devon Vale is one of them, but there's somebody else that I think you have in mind as well.
51:55I'm sure you're thinking about it sometime later in this draft because you're stacking the Saints team again.
52:01And I'm fine talking about players because we don't have to marry the stacks.
52:06I already have to lock and loaded a lobby and Tyson to Tyler shock.
52:10And as I take the Dallas Cowboys team kicker as his tradition, I don't think we can break this streak, Pete.
52:17So I'm going to go with the Cowboys kicker and we will make a more fruitful effort to go two and two or two and three.
52:25On the defenses and kickers. We got some good advice on that in a prior show.
52:30Going back to, oh, it's Bryce Lance. Bryce Lance would be a player who, and shout out to Debro.
52:36Debro has been on him pretty good. I think we got him, Bryce Lance, maybe around 29 or 30 a couple weeks ago, Pete.
52:44Yep. And now maybe it's around 25. Maybe it's around 24 because there's stimulus of that news.
52:49He should go a few rounds earlier. Is that going to make or break the title wave, the advantage?
52:55Like if you get Bryce Lance in round 25 or Devon Vele in the 20 somewhere, I don't think it's a huge
53:02disadvantage versus the people who have maybe gotten a couple different rounds later prior weeks.
53:07I think sometimes we overlook and just look into it too much and overanalyze where you just want to get ripple effects
53:14of combinations of teams that are just flat out ballers and hoopers.
53:18And if you have a little more crystallized information with somebody like Bryce Lance, I think he's somebody who you want to target in a redraft format.
53:27But Pete, tell me if I'm speaking correctly. I don't think I'd be interested in Bryce Lance in a redraft format.
53:33I would just expect a couple of boom weeks, but unpredictable week over week in replacing those couple of weeks.
53:40Hopefully it's four weeks for Jordan Tyson. Yeah, I'm with you.
53:43The answer for me is really just Jawan Johnson.
53:46Like that's who the answer is for me. I was high on Jawan Johnson, Jay.
53:51I think that's really like that wide receiver too.
53:54I think he's going to be number two on the team in targets this year.
53:59You know, he had he I think he's had back to back years with somewhere on 90 to 100 targets in both seasons.
54:06So I don't see that changing for him. Devon Vele is is kind of sneaky a little bit, Jay, where he might
54:13be in that kind of power slot role a little bit at times.
54:17But overall, I really think it's Jawan Johnson if we're talking men to redraft leagues and he's a great value.
54:23So I'm good with it. By the way, Dallas kickers, it is funny because we I think we've gotten Dallas kickers every
54:30single draft that we've done so far. Maybe we're fish for going quick and high on the kickers.
54:36But it feels like a really, really nice thing.
54:39I mean, positional value wise, we get Josh Allen.
54:42We got Jamar Chase and we got Dallas Cowboys kicker.
54:45We there's an argument to be made that we could easily come out with, you know, the number one player at each
54:52of those positions at the end of this year.
54:55And those guys are going to have major positional advantages over the field.
54:59So love that pick there. You get Isaiah Likely.
55:02Talk to me about Likely because I've been on Isaiah Likely, Jay.
55:06But some people are a little nervous with how the usage was in just the first preseason game.
55:12Have you wavered at all in kind of where you're at with Isaiah Likely or you still feel pretty confident?
55:18I'm more fortified as it's gone along the drumbeat of what's going to happen for the New York Giants.
55:24My contention with Giants is you cannot stop them inside the 20 in the red zone because you have RPO with Scat Pack.
55:31And I'd like your opinion on Scat Bow and the Najee thing.
55:35But Dart, triple threat, run pass option with Scat Bow.
55:38Throwing up to fields as we saw this last weekend, catching the touchdown pass.
55:43Red zone threat was all we primed somebody like Malachi Fields for.
55:47Then, of course, my God, Malik Neighbors and then the duo of Likely and Theo Johnson.
55:52You're sitting there thinking, how can Giants be stopped inside the 20?
55:56But then again, there's Matt Nagy. And then you've got to go from the 20s to the 20s.
56:01You need to get there. And I think that's going to be the challenge, the aggravation, because on paper, it really looks great for the New York Giants.
56:10And Isaiah Likely follows Harbaugh, has more signal, gets a decent contract.
56:14And with all the Titans who went off, when I didn't go Dalton Kincaid, and I would have loved the Alan Kincaid
56:21stack, I see Likely as kind of like a teardrop.
56:24Jake Ferguson was another name of consideration. Mike Washington, great pick right there.
56:29That was another name of consideration for me. So what do you make of that analysis?
56:34Yeah, I like it a lot. And I've wavered when we're just talking about Likely.
56:38I've gone a little bit back and forth with him.
56:42You know, I have him ranked just ahead of Jake Ferguson and Jawan Johnson at my tight ends.
56:47I have Likely as like the number 112 player right now, Jay.
56:51That feels pretty fair. The tight ends start to get really pushed down the board, you know, once the top guys go off.
56:59So I feel pretty good about that. But we do have a couple other questions.
57:03Who did you just take, though? Before we get to questions, you took Emma Johnson, running back for the Chiefs, who looked pretty good in his preseason debut.
57:12What's the thoughts and the thinking there? And before I go there, we have five picks.
57:17So if five defenses go off, hey, it is what it is.
57:21But Rams, Seahawks, Broncos, Patriots, Jaguars on the come around.
57:24I think we've ignored defense a little. We push it down.
57:28I think we got to build a little bit.
57:31There go the Rams. So Seahawks, Broncos, Patriots, Jaguars, Eagles.
57:34Who do you like the most? Oh, yeah. Yeah.
57:37I would say that I am probably I'm on I'm on Seattle the most Rams up, obviously off the board.
57:43I think I'm on Seattle. Chargers have a great start to the year, by the way.
57:48They play like Arizona. And I can't remember the other team.
57:52They just go off the board. But that's kickers for the Chargers.
57:56But, yeah, I prefer Seattle. If you're if you're sitting at this spot, Seattle and Denver are the two.
58:02I actually have both of them ahead of the Rams.
58:05All right. So I'm going to have Seahawks with Jadarion Price stack instead of the Denver Broncos.
58:10I'm going to go Seahawks. I'm going to click it.
58:13And, you know, it's like taking your vitamins, taking your medicine.
58:17It's round 14. There's all these sexy skill position players that I would like.
58:21But I don't feel pressure at the quarterback position.
58:24Had Malik Willis fallen to me, he would have been a nice third quarterback that I would have considered.
58:30But with the quarterbacks on the board, I thought, you know what?
58:34I'm going to go and get a defense. Juwan Johnson goes.
58:38He would have been nice for stack share. There's somebody else being on the hunt for some of that blood in the water for the Jordan Tyson injury.
58:47So hat tip to team six or sorry, team five going to get Juwan Johnson.
58:51But I like the fact that we got a preeminent defense.
58:55We have a preeminent kicking team and preeminent defense in this format.
58:59We're going to want to get at least one of each somewhere else in this draft.
59:04But I like, hey, round 14. Why not? And there's plenty of skill position players left.
59:09Yeah, I'm totally with you there. By the way, if you guys are enjoying the show so far, we really do appreciate you guys being here.
59:17Please give us a thumbs up. I know I keep saying it, but it just really, really helps us out.
59:24When the podfather comes back and he says and looks at the numbers and says, hey, how did Jeremiah and Pete do on their show?
59:32And we're sitting here with a ton of views and we only get like nine, ten likes.
59:37I mean, we got to get more. We got to pump those numbers up.
59:42So give us a thumbs up, guys. We really do appreciate it.
59:45Clearly, you guys are enjoying it because we've been sitting at like 20 to 25 live views on YouTube pretty much the
59:52entire show, which we very much appreciate. Don't get us wrong.
59:56But give us a thumbs up. We very much appreciate that.
59:59Let's check the chat really quick, Jay. And then give us a little bit of a breakdown for the audio side.
60:06Just run through exactly who you have. But let's take a quick sec to go through the chat real quick.
60:13Kyle says, did you say who you'd keep, AJ or Kenneth Walker?
60:16Yeah, we said Kenneth Walker just because of positional advantage and in a keeper league.
60:21I just think it's likely that there's not many running backs left.
60:25He's just kind of chatting. He wants to know our thoughts on Cyrus Allen.
60:29We'll get to Cyrus Allen a little bit once it gets more closer to when he gets selected.
60:35And then he did talk about Jawan Johnson and also agreed that Emmitt Johnson does look really good, Jay.
60:41So read off to the audio side, to the viewers on the visual side, visual side as well.
60:47Talk a little bit about your team and who you have so far.
60:51So we got the 103 and I went chalk with Jamar Chase.
60:55If it's one pick later, I'm going on my own right-hand ground.
60:59But here nor there, Jamar Chase, Chris Alave round two falls to me.
61:03We got that news of structured, crystallizing. No Jordan Tyson for at least the first month of the season.
61:09Then we take advantage of a drop with the ankle sprain.
61:13Jeremiah Love may not hit the lineup week one, Pete.
61:16But round three cannot look a gift horse in the mouth.
61:19Josh Allen round four falls. Gets a positional value there.
61:22Parker Washington late round five falls to us. Janarian Price in round six.
61:27Casey Concepcion, we reach up. I don't want, hey, a 20 gapper.
61:30He comes through in round eight or round nine.
61:33I'm taking Casey Concepcion before anybody gets him. I think he's a round five player.
61:38That's how much I would pay up is round five.
61:41Jordan Tyson goes in round eight. Jonah Coleman's my third running back.
61:45Tyler Shuck, my second quarterback in round 10. The cool thing about this, Pete, was I was looking at Trevor Lawrence.
61:52I'm glad the board took Trevor Lawrence on me because there's a common bye week, week seven with the Bills and the Jags.
61:59So now we got Shuck with week eight, Josh Allen, week seven.
62:03I'm not worried about the quarterback interfering for bye weeks.
62:06Isaiah Likely, my first tight end, our first tight end, Pete, in round 11.
62:11Dallas Cowboys kickers for tradition in round 12. Emmitt Johnson round three.
62:14You love to see it. And then the Seahawks defense Super Bowl champs in round 14.
62:20What do you make of this team and where we're at?
62:23What do you think our direction should be in these next few picks rounds 15 to maybe even 20?
62:29Yeah, I think I think still probably have to hit on some of these running backs if there's some value there.
62:36Kyle Manonga, really nice value slips around 14 because of the injury for him.
62:40So major, major faller. Hyper extended knee looks like he's going to be out a couple of weeks.
62:46I would try to at least fill up the running backs because we did take a little bit of risk.
62:52We're all relying on three rookie running backs right now.
62:56Now, you know, in your we have four taken so far running backs and we're relying on three rookies.
63:02So I would want to hit running back. What does that position look like right now?
63:07Who's available there? Yeah, the top we got Isaiah Pacheco, Tank Bigsby, Alvin Kamara, Brian Robinson, Kamani Vidal and Katron Allen.
63:13I definitely don't want Katron. Honestly, Kamara is kind of interesting.
63:17Tank Bigsby and Kamara are the two guys that I think I'd have my eye on if I were you.
63:23Bigsby is a guy that, you know, you're not going to get much fantasy standalone value unless Saquon goes down.
63:30Kamara, I think you will get standalone value, but the ceiling won't be nearly as high unless, of course, ETN goes down.
63:37But I'd rather Bigsby or Kamara, if we're saying, hey, one of these guys is going to be the starter due to
63:44the guy in front of them going down. I'd much rather Bigsby over Kamara.
63:48So that's kind of my thoughts, Jay. I don't know where you're thinking, but we might not even get them because if
63:55you're telling me that that's what's best, that's left.
63:58Good chance whoever the Saquon Barkley owner is might take Tank Bigsby pretty soon.
64:03So I don't even know if he'd even be available.
64:06But that's just kind of where my head goes and we don't want to push or press, but it is getting thin,
64:13it sounds like, at the running back position. Yeah, and I think there's going to be some value-wide receivers.
64:19Right now we have five receivers through 14 rounds, which will be 15.
64:23So there are going to be some stabs that we want to take, especially if we think Jordan Tyson is going to be out.
64:31That leaves us four healthy receivers to hit three wide receiver spots, a flex spot.
64:35So there may be a little bit of catch-up that goes.
64:39I like Braylon Allen. Braylon Allen's a good pick.
64:42He was not higher up on the Q and good snipe pick there for that team.
64:47We're getting some. So my issue, though, I really do like Isaiah Davis better than Braylon Allen based on what I've seen.
64:54Granted, he gets hurt. Don't want to get stuck to my priors.
64:58But my problem with Braylon Allen is last year he looked phenomenal just the way he did in preseason just this last week.
65:05And then he just was awful in season. He was terrible.
65:09So I feel like I've been down this road before.
65:12I feel like I've been got before, and I'm not really buying it.
65:16Yeah. I'm with you there, too. So, you know, with the Jets, I'm just trying to look and think about, like, who
65:23are the best, you know, who are the best rookie or just sorry, who are the best handcuffs that aren't, like, the top upper echelon?
65:31I assume Tajay Spears is off the board. I assume, you know, we're looking to me at, like, we're talking high upside.
65:38I know Mike Washington's off the board. Is Marshall and Lloyd available?
65:42Oh, that's a good one. Looking around the board.
65:45Yeah, he went. Yep. He went in round 13.
65:48So explain him. Do you feel confident in him to be healthy?
65:51It sounds like he's healthy right now and you can do nothing but go off of that because it's all we have.
65:58It's all we've got. Josh Jacobs, though, are you more are you more pro Josh Jacobs or pro?
66:04Hey, round 13, Marshawn Lloyd. And I'm going to fade Josh Jacobs, who could have suspension.
66:09But you're you're in because I think in round five.
66:12You're in on Josh Jacobs. Yeah, we got it.
66:15That was a great value on Josh Jacobs. I'm very much in on Jacobs.
66:20I love the price that we're getting on him.
66:23I guess I'm just very surprised, Jay, how much people have faded Josh Jacobs.
66:27I understand any of the groin issue. I think people are worried a little bit about the suspension.
66:33I know Ian Rappaport came out and said it's a possibility.
66:36But, you know, Puka Nakua also got banged up with a little bit of an injury.
66:41And Puka Nakua also has the possibility of a suspension.
66:45And he's still getting drafted pretty high in the first round.
66:48I mean, that didn't really affect him too much.
66:51So I yeah, I'm not I'm not really totally understanding where people are coming from there.
66:56I think Jacobs should be around three player. So getting him in round five is awesome value, in my opinion.
67:03So I went and I did kind of lie for a little bit just because I was like, you know, F these people, man.
67:10I'm not you're not you're not taking these guys on me.
67:14It's funny. I'll talk about like Marvin Harrison Jr.
67:17And it's like, oh, you know, if you want to take him, fine.
67:21Dalton Cade, fine. But I went Ray Davis and I kind of like that as some sneaky stack share with Josh Allen.
67:28If there is to be some truth to utilization for the backs, pass game, James Cook maybe gets hurt.
67:34All of a sudden, there's that deadly duo of Allen and Ray Davis.
67:38And then I'm getting all point share of the Buffalo Bills in a sneaky manner in a lower rostered tournament setting share.
67:45The combo of somebody like a Ray Davis with Josh Allen, I think is very sneaky, especially as I miss.
67:51I really would like Dalton Cade when I don't get DJ more with Josh Allen.
67:56But be that as it may, I like something like this that's just unique, differentiated.
68:01And you know how I feel about DeMond Claiborne.
68:04I keep seeing him go at least around round 15.
68:07So I'm happy that I didn't push fate here because Johnny Tuma, if you anybody watch, he went to DeMond Claiborne in
68:14round 15 of that draft that Johnny had. I can't remember where we got him the week prior, but people are wise to him.
68:22And he's another upside play for me to get Coleman, Evan Johnson, Ray Davis, DeMond Claiborne.
68:27I'm super ecstatic in it. You might notice from drafting with me, Pete.
68:31I really like I'm a sucker for like, look, ball up top.
68:35Jeremiah Love, Jadarian Price. And then it's Coleman, Johnson, Davis, DeMond Claiborne, Shawn Michaels, super kick.
68:40We get an injury to any of these players and my guys stay healthy for the duration of the season.
68:46I'm cooking with gas and I have pushed up higher on the board.
68:50Advantage at quarterback. Advantage at receiver. So probably the rest of the way, these next few picks.
68:56So I'm going to ease off on running back.
68:59And I think I need to do a little catch up at receiver and maybe some depth that time in.
69:05So so Mr. Brad said he's in the nine slot and he took Josh Jacobs.
69:10That is who took Jacobs there. He's in the chat.
69:13Love that pick. Go to go to his team.
69:16Let's read his team. Yep. Yeah. He goes. He starts off JT Saquon Barkley.
69:20Great picks. Rashi Rice, Garrett Wilson. And this is the juxtaposition.
69:24He's sitting there. Hey, the board is going to give me Josh Jacobs.
69:28He takes Josh Jacobs round five round six. Drake may love that pick for you.
69:33BTJ Marvin Harrison, Jr. I don't love those players, but I love that price of round seven and eight.
69:39Goes Kyle Pitts for his first tight end in round nine.
69:42Love that. I consider Pitts in that area. And then we'll wait for that box to go away.
69:48RJ Harvey. RJ Harvey. So, hey, we're on the other side.
69:52We're the Spider-Man meme. He gets RJ Harvey round 10.
69:55George Kittle. Great second tight end. Xavier Worthy round 12.
69:58Good upside. Malik Willis. Hey, funny enough. I talked about, hey, if I could have gotten Malik Willis, I would have taken them.
70:05So hat tip to you. And then Denver Broncos defense, which we talked about, Pete.
70:10So it is funny, Mr. Brad, what you got going on there.
70:14Jawan Jennings, Jalen Naylor, Ryan Flournoy. I like those best ball upside wide receivers.
70:18So good draft in here. And this is very fun right now.
70:22He takes Keenan Allen. And this is how crazy and how much value we've gotten on Keenan Allen, Stephon Diggs, Debo Samuel.
70:29We got Keenan Allen as like our like second to last pick in our last draft last week on Thursday.
70:36I think it was, Jay. Keenan Allen went off the board at like pick 290.
70:41And that's not to say it's a bad pick that you took him here.
70:45But it's more about how crazy it is that like the changes we see of like we knew Keenan Allen was going to go to a team.
70:54And yet he continued to fall and fall and fall and fall.
70:57It was the same with Stephon Diggs, who now goes sometimes in the top 100.
71:02And Debo Samuel, who goes somewhere around the top 100, pretty close to that too.
71:07So I still like the Keenan Allen pick. I think you're going to get very – in a best ball format like this, he's a floor pick.
71:16And it's a start three wide receiver. You're going to get a lot of floor with him on a weekly basis.
71:22May not get the ceiling for him, but you'll get the floor.
71:26And I think he's going to play in that Michael Pittman role.
71:30But do you want to get to this next question here from Griff?
71:34What do you call him, Griff? Said, would you rather keep Emeka Egbuka for a 6th round pick or Quinshawn Judkins for
71:41an 11th round pick full PPR redraft? Man, that's some intense value on Judkins, Jay.
71:46Just for reference, I'm going to tell you where these guys are going on ADP in the last week for FFFP – I'm sorry, NFFC.
71:54Quinshawn Judkins goes at pick 58, Jay. And Emeka Egbuka is definitely much higher than that.
71:59Let's see if I can find it, Jay. Egbuka is going at pick 27.
72:03So, I mean, still really great values for both players here.
72:07I think if you're in a league that you think there's going to be a lot of elite running backs kept, I think you keep Judkins.
72:15I think you're fine. Egbuka may not be the value of what Judkins is in terms of how much you're getting saved because he's a 6th round pick.
72:24But a 6th round pick for Egbuka is still an impressive value when he's going in the high 3rd round close to the 2-3 turn, Jay.
72:33So, I would still prefer probably Egbuka here in a vacuum.
72:36But if running back is going to be scarce, I'll take Judkins.
72:40Well, how about the odd experiment of can I get Judkins in round 11 and with this injury, can I get Emeka Egbuka in maybe the 3rd round?
72:49I might go for that versus you go in the 6th round, get Egbuka, have him the safety, the shorty, but then
72:56have to get Judkins in either probably round 5 because you can't go back and get round 7 Quinshawn Judkins.
73:02So, that would be the only juxtaposition I'd be in there.
73:06Look, Pat Bryant goes, that kills me. Terrence Ferguson, Brad, great pick.
73:10I was right on Terrence Ferguson. He was somebody who I had my eye on.
73:1413 personnel, the Rams last year had something like, okay, in 13 personnel, 20 touchdown passes by Matthew Stafford, 0 interception.
73:21So, if it ends up being Terrence Ferguson, I think that's a great pick in round 17.
73:26Brad, you and I, we have a mind meld, so I really like what you got going on there.
73:32I'm going to make this pick. Tight end value.
73:35I'm going to get somebody in Greg Dulcich. Free points.
73:39Just free Miami Dolphins points in somebody like Greg Dulcich.
73:42I need a second tight end. Round 17. What a spot to go and get him.
73:47And amongst those tight ends, Dalton Schultz is another PPR target monster.
73:51We got him in a prior draft, though, Pete.
73:54So, great pick on Terrence Ferguson, Brad, just to keep covering your team and what you have going on.
74:00So, you love to see it. And then, oh, did I get it wrong?
74:04Hold that thought. Basher said, someone is giving me Puka, Nakua.
74:08They wanted Puka and Godwin in PPR redraft. That's a smash for me.
74:12I don't know if you get that gong. Is that a good one?
74:16I heard it. It was good. It was good.
74:19Whatever. Yeah, it's a smash for me. I mean, look, could I see a world where you're maybe a little bit concerned
74:26because of Puka with the injuries, whatever? Yeah. But you're going to have a massive headache rostering of Puka and Godwin J and not knowing who to start.
74:35If it's best ball format like this, totally understand it.
74:38You don't got to worry about it. But in a situation where it's managed redraft PPR, like he's saying, it's very, very easily Puka and Nakua.
74:46That should really be like a Puka and like a running back or a Puka and a much better player than Godwin.
74:53And I like Godwin. There's a world where Godwin finishes ahead of this year.
74:58But on face value, where we are currently with values of players before the season starts, that second player has got to be better than Godwin.
75:06So that's a really awesome value for him. And also, I see Emeka Buka being a round one player in one quarterback formats next year.
75:14Yeah, I know. That is your bold prediction. But with that said, Puka and Nakua is already there.
75:20So you don't even have to force it. So yes, go with Puka and Nakua.
75:24It's a no brainer. And this next player, I'm going to go because I don't know how much longer he's going to last on this board.
75:33And a week ago, we could have let this player be buried.
75:37But it is Caleb Douglas. It may be the wide receiver one on the Miami Dolphins.
75:42So a sneaky little thing I've done, Pete. I've gone and gotten Caleb Douglas, Greg Dulcich.
75:47We can talk about Cyrus Allen, Ted Hurst. Great picks here.
75:50Pat Bryant had gone. He was in my range.
75:53But I've got just a unique where I don't have the stack with Malik Willis.
75:58But I've got Greg Dulcich and Caleb Douglas. And as much as we want to puke on the Miami Dolphins, round 17,
76:05round 18, I get a great pie share of an offense that is probably going to have to be a lot like
76:12the Cardinals of last year, Pete, where they're in throw mode.
76:16They're going to be behind all the time. A lot of that may go underneath to Devon H.
76:21And I like the idea of that. I just got a free tight end in Greg Dulcich.
76:27And I probably got a free wide receiver one in Caleb Douglas.
76:31He's a sleeper pick for me. Round 18 at this part of the draft.
76:35I don't really mind the ADPs. I think that's just like a structure that's out there.
76:40A false construct, as they call it. But talk about Cyrus Allen.
76:44Great pick there. Running with the ones. Do you think there'll be three wide receiver sets with the Chiefs in 2026 that get Cyrus Allen on the field?
76:53Or is he just going to rotate in a little bit more?
76:57Performing great at camp, Pete. Or is this like a little bit of insurance for somebody like Arashi Rice who isn't fully on ramp?
77:04You know what? I think it's really more concerning.
77:07You know, for the two wide receiver sets. Xavier Worthy is going to be that burner down the field.
77:13So I don't think he gets pulled off the field.
77:17It is really more of like what happens in the two wide receiver sets.
77:21Rice is going to be able to block. So I don't think Cyrus Allen is going to get on the field a ton in those situations.
77:29But there's also a world where this is a room that doesn't have much talent.
77:34Cyrus Allen has looked good in camp so far.
77:37And maybe in a crazy world, Cyrus Allen ends up, you know, getting enough or doing well enough to get on the field more.
77:45But this is going to be more of a run.
77:48Not a run first team, Jay. But they're going to run more than we've seen in the past, which is not hard to do.
77:55You have not really ran the football a ton.
77:58So, yeah, I think a lot of 12 personnel is going to be on the table here.
78:04Travis Kelsey, Noah Gray. Noah Gray probably staying in the block.
78:07Kelsey going out to run routes. That's what we're going to see a ton of this year.
78:13And Cyrus Allen is really nipping at the heels.
78:16And he's also behind two guys that Worthy's already got banged up at practice.
78:20So is Rashi Rice. So those guys also have injury concerns.
78:24So he's a very, very nice insurance policy on those receivers in that round.
78:28I do also want to let you know, Mr.
78:31Brad said he really wanted Douglas to stack with Malik Willis.
78:34So you still Douglas with him. I think he stole a player or two from us.
78:39So it's only fair that we get him a little bit back.
78:43But Preppy Girl wants us to really, really badly answer her question, Jay.
78:47So let's just pull it up real quick and then we'll get an idea of what you're thinking.
78:53She said she gets, or let's just say she can either have AJ Brown or Zay and Terry.
78:59So the pack, the trade is AJ Brown on one side, Zay Flowers, Terry McLaurin on the other side.
79:05It's a PPR flex in redraft. Which side do you prefer here?
79:09I think I probably still prefer AJ. But if it's a start three wide receiver league, I probably would lean towards Zay and Terry J.
79:17Because I do see a world where Zay beats out AJ this year just because I'm super high on Zay.
79:23But ultimately, AJ is the best player here by far, in my opinion.
79:27So it's got to be a two wide receiver.
79:30If I'm going to get bulk, I'm going to want to take Zay and Terry.
79:35Usually you take the best player available. But you make an argument that if Terry McLaurin gets 10 targets a game, Zay Flowers gets peppered.
79:43And he finishes and continues on from that late finish where he was wide receiver seven overall last year.
79:49Give me both of them versus AJ Brown. Prior to a trade where we had where we wanted more, it was Puka for Ibuka and Godwin.
79:57And you thought, hey man, I want a little bit more than Godwin as that second piece.
80:03This is a trade where from AJ Brown to get Zay Flowers.
80:07And then the second piece is Terry McLaurin. And if this is redraft, as I understand, give me the Zay and the Terry McLaurin side.
80:15You got two players. You got a round three and maybe a round four player in Terry McLaurin in the redraft streets.
80:22Where you have a one-two term player and somebody like AJ Brown.
80:25I don't think it's more value. I think you're going to cut in.
80:30You're just going to get more beneficial points. And then I would just beg to wonder who would be the other player
80:37in the lineup next to AJ Brown. That would beat out a Terry McLaurin in this trade.
80:42Because it's AJ Brown, Zay Flowers, Terry McLaurin. Who's that second player who's going to be underneath AJ Brown to fill out
80:49to compete with somebody like Terry McLaurin? That would be the only question that I would have.
80:54But I actually lean towards Zay and Terry McLaurin.
80:57And I don't think that's being safe either. I think we get ceiling seasons out of Zay and McLaurin.
81:03We get it out of AJ Brown. But, hey, I'm getting two ceiling players to one AJ Brown.
81:09Yeah, and I can understand that. That's why I said if it's a start three wide receivers, I understand it.
81:16Because there's more positions that you need to fill.
81:18I think that's a goal where, you know, if it's a two running back, two wide receivers, and a flex, I still prefer AJ.
81:26You talk about him at a 2-3 turn. I have AJ as my 14th ranked player.
81:31So I view him closer to a 1-2 turn player than a 2-3 turn player.
81:36That's just me. I do have Zay Flowers. I picked 26.
81:39So I'm ahead of consensus on him. I view him close to a 2-3 turn player.
81:45And then I'm ahead of consensus on Terry as well.
81:48I have Terry as my 39th ranked player. So pretty much very close to being a round three player for Terry.
81:54So get the rationale there. But hopefully we answered the question.
81:58Gave you a couple different perspectives there. Thanks for tuning in.
82:01Make sure you hit that thumbs up. Make sure you subscribe if you're not already.
82:06We've got 24 people live here on Player Profiler.
82:09We're going to take a quick break. Jay's going to make his pick.
82:13He just picked Deshaun Watson. We'll hear on the return back what his thought process was when we come back.
82:20The NFFC, my favorite high-stakes fantasy platform. Why? Third-round reversal.
82:23Kentucky Derby draft slot allocation. So it's a lottery-based system where you can put in your preference where you want to draft.
82:30It's full PPR. There's three receivers. It's the best place to play fantasy football, especially for high stakes.
82:36And now they've combined with the FFWC. They have a lot more contests to offer.
82:40In fact, they have a double crown bonus where you can join the NFFC primetime.
82:45And if you win that, $300,000. You can also join the Circo World Championship.
82:50And that's $200,000. You win both. You win a million dollars.
82:53So go to playnffc.com slash profiler. And check the show description for a number of promo codes you can use.
83:00First time 100 to get $100 when you sign up.
83:03But also, every time you sign up for a new contest, we give you codes to use to get discounts on those entry fees as well.
83:11Thank you to the NFFC. They make our podcast network what it is.
83:15All right. Before we get to what transpired prior, I feel like this is a good time.
83:21There's going to be a run on defenses, Pete, in the 20 gap that we have.
83:26So here at the top, Lions, Packers, Bills, Falcons, Saints, Chiefs, 49ers, Giants.
83:30Saints. Any of those teams? Saints. Saints. Okay, beautiful.
83:33Let's go get them, grab them. They're ranked 239.
83:36When's their bye? When's their bye? Week 8. Okay, good.
83:39Seattle's week 11. So just making sure. I'll make that pick.
83:42And I know you like the Saints as a defense.
83:45So that's a fun one. When the run of the early to mid-tier has gone, you tend to like the New Orleans Saints defense.
83:53Let's talk about it a little bit, Pete. What did occur, though, before I went and took Deshaun Watson, I had the Browns quarterbacks on my mind.
84:02I've leaned Watson, actually, to become the starter, be the starter to start the year.
84:07And whoever gets the keys to this Browns offense is going to be phenomenal.
84:11I get a stack with Casey Concepcion. I don't know how it's going to be for 17, 18 weeks of the NFL season.
84:18But I like the fact that kind of triggered the stimulus of, I can't wait on to my second pick to go
84:25and get Deshaun Watson as my third quarterback. I had to get him on the front end.
84:31And then I was thinking about Zachariah Branch as a boom type of wide receiver that we could get at this pocket of the draft.
84:39Goes one pick before me. So great pick there.
84:42Team four on Zachariah Branch. Two back-to-back picks. Cyrus Allen, Zachariah Branch.
84:45Hat tip there. Great picks. We see a little run of defense go.
84:50The Detroit Lions person went with the Browns and the Lions.
84:53Team two. But it's funny. That was kind of on my mind.
84:57So team two had the same thought. I think everybody else is just chasing now.
85:02Downflow domino effect from that. But I'm glad we got the Saints and Pete.
85:06This is good for us. We're 10 more rounds, and we've got ourselves two defenses.
85:11We finally did it. We're probably going to look for another kicker at some point.
85:16And then we're going to fill out our position players.
85:19What position players do you think we need to go towards for a build?
85:23We have three quarterbacks. We have one, two, three, four, five, six running backs.
85:28We could probably use more running backs. And I have six receivers.
85:32Is that right? Five, six. Six receivers. So we probably got to go a little bit trade back and forth between receivers and running backs.
85:40I have two tight ends. Yeah. I think it's really now you're just playing the board and just taking play.
85:46I don't think it's a matter of how many.
85:49You know, at this point, you filled out enough.
85:52It's a deep enough draft. You can pretty much just free flow here and just pretty much take value as it comes to you.
86:00Devon Vele, we talked about, is a player that I would consider just because you get that stack, another player in that same stack.
86:07You could also start maybe looking at Bills players, maybe a Skyler Bell later, maybe a Keon Coleman, if that's of interest to you.
86:15So I do want to pull this question real quick from Pham first.
86:19It's a good starting point. He said, what kind of draft is this?
86:23I'm watching this and this is really confusing me.
86:26And then he said, oh, never mind. I'm just late.
86:29I was like, why are they drafting defenses first?
86:32I think it's because when the board was scrolled up, when the board was scrolled up, he probably didn't see it.
86:39Mr. Brad said Vele was taken at round 16.
86:42Good catch. I didn't realize that. I typed him in.
86:45He's not there. Yeah. Is Bryce Lance gone too?
86:48No, I don't think so. He's still there. But I was just curious.
86:52That's okay. Look, if he's there, fine. But there's a degree of I have two Saints players.
86:57Like what if I would have gotten Jawan Johnson?
87:00Is it overkill at a certain point? Because in a way, am I betting against myself the discount that I got on somebody like a Jordan Tyson?
87:09See, number one, this is all cope. You just learn to cope with whatever happens on the board.
87:14But at the same time, you can tell a story, a narrative.
87:18And that's what's fun about this because you chop up a redraft.
87:22Pete, weekly, we're making our waiver wire picks. Our defense is in our kicker streaming, right?
87:27And you just kind of play in week in, week out.
87:31On this, it's like you're opening up a book.
87:34You're reading a chapter. A draft is a chapter.
87:37And you're enjoying what goes on. And then the next chapter is something different because it's a different draft.
87:43But you kind of fit it all in, almost like a short story, into one event because that has to play out for the duration.
87:51So we're projecting a whole redraft season packed into this best ball contest.
87:55Yeah. I'm totally, totally with you there. I do think it's a good time to take a break.
88:00Not take a break for a cup break, but just a break to remind the folks of what we're doing here.
88:07With NFFC, this is the best ball championship draft.
88:10Fan first did kind of say, hey, what is this draft?
88:14So we'll explain it. This is a 30-round best ball draft on high-stakes NFFC.
88:18If you ever want to try this out, PJ, that was one of these.
88:22So we can't have another player for my host.
88:25One dollar is off the draft. You lose that.
88:28The way the draft goes, 12 teams in this draft, it's 30 rounds.
88:32It's a third-round reversal. It's also been tough to go to the draft style.
88:37It's pretty much required to do the draft. They randomized the draft order.
88:41And if I get to number one, it's like 25 to the first place.
88:45It's a really, really cool format. It's cumulative. How do you talk to this?
88:50Yeah, and it's really good with the defenses and kickers.
88:53We've gotten two and two now. We are 22 rounds in.
88:57And we have pushed to where we had a kicker, we had a defense, and the whole run went.
89:03All the teams got picked on defense. So, fortunately here, I was able to get a second kicker team.
89:09So now I have the Seahawks, the Saints as my defenses.
89:12And we have now Pete, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as our team kicker.
89:18And all I can remember last year, I have a Dynasty League where I have Chase McLaughlin.
89:23And don't ask me why there's kickers in the Dynasty League, but damn it, I have Chase McLaughlin.
89:29And he was phenomenal to have. It's the Buccaneers offense.
89:32So I'm just sitting there like printing points, getting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
89:36And let me look at their Week 10 to the Cowboys Week 14.
89:40So I feel like, Pete, we have a positional advantage at the kicker position with, okay, it's going to be the Dallas Cowboys.
89:48And then the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they're just another one who maybe they're the seventh best kicking team.
89:53But my God, the points are there. They can hang 30 burgers every week and have a couple field goals in there,
90:00a bunch of extra points, built-in points that are there.
90:04And then, of course, when you get into the fractional scoring element, Chase McLaughlin is hitting a 55-yarder.
90:09You're thrilled. Maybe he hits two of them in a game.
90:13And you're like, okay, cool. This is how we get some of those printed points and get some best ball advantage.
90:20And then I decided to go with Sean Tucker, just another running back.
90:24He fell. He was near pick 250 there, and he was like 202.
90:28So he was not getting picked. I think there's all the bullish news about Kenneth Gainwell and, of course, the fruition of Bucky Irving.
90:36Like, it's going to be logjammed at the top.
90:38But it does never fail. In his career, Sean Tucker finds one or two games each year to just ball out.
90:45So in round 21, realistically, if I get two or three weeks of hit spike weeks where he's a top two, top
90:52three running back, which he's shown at times in a given week, then that's a massive payout.
90:58I would take that right now for what you're getting to boom boss versus a lot of these players in these next
91:05seven, eight rounds, Pete, might be getting you four points, six points.
91:08Stuff that doesn't move the needle. So if I can get a couple spike weeks, going back to, you know, I would
91:15like Caleb Douglas in round 18 to kind of be in a week in, week out player.
91:21He could end up being a league winner, a tournament winner or tournament shifting type of player for me.
91:27But as we get in whittled down here, if it ends up being somebody like a Bryce Lance, I'm not expecting week over week goodness.
91:35I'm hoping for two or three good weeks throughout the year that can just push up my point total and get me right.
91:42Right. Yeah, I'm with you, by the way. Great analysis on explaining a little bit as to why, you know, why we are drafting kickers, defenses.
91:51And it looks like you might have just timed out.
91:54So go ahead and pull that back up. Just hit lobby.
91:57If you hit lobby, you should be able to get back to it.
92:01Just click that right there. And then you should be able to enter.
92:06Scroll back up real quick. Go to my team.
92:08Sorry. Hmm. Hmm. Yeah. And then it should be this.
92:12Yeah, there you go. Should be the second one, I think.
92:15Oh, yeah. I don't know why I did that.
92:18Yeah, I think maybe hit the home button on that or there you go.
92:22Yeah. And then you should be able to hit the draft from top.
92:27Right at the top says draft. Right here. At the top, it should say stats draft.
92:32Right. So go to draft room. Yeah. Okay. That was no, that's not it.
92:36Draft board. Sorry. Sorry, folks. That was very odd.
92:39I've never had that happen yet. A little bit of a timeout situation.
92:43Oh, I'll stop presenting. I'll get it. Sorry about that.
92:46While you're while you're doing that, I'll just talk a little bit.
92:50The Jets defense are an interesting defense as well.
92:53Colts go off the board on the turn there.
92:56Colts and Jeff's Jets defense are two of the weaker schedules for defenses this year.
93:01Jets have a pretty favorable schedule. I mean, they brought in DeMarco Davis.
93:05They brought in some veterans. They obviously draft Bailey in the first round at the top in the first five picks, Jay.
93:12And they get a pretty nice schedule here. They open up against Tennessee.
93:16It's a tough Green Bay, Detroit, Chicago. But then they get Cleveland.
93:20They still get Miami. They get the Raiders. They get Miami again.
93:24And they get Arizona. At the end of the year, they get Minnesota in week 17, which honestly could be J.J.
93:30McCarthy at that point if Kyler gets benched or what happens.
93:34But that's possibly a team that maybe has a rough year.
93:37And then it ends up being a favorable matchup.
93:40So Jets are kind of a sneaky team. If you want to get a third defense, if there's any, if they're dwindling
93:47down and you want to maybe consider grabbing an extra defense.
93:51Also at the tight end position, as tight ends start to come off the board, I'm curious what your thoughts on a
93:58guy like Eli Raired and Jay, who looked pretty good in that preseason game.
94:02He's been rumored to be working with the ones a lot in practice, interchanging with Hunter Henry.
94:08It seems like they could run some two tight end sets and Eli Raired and could be in there.
94:14Now he's a really good blocker. So, you know, it could be more of, Hey, he's really doing a lot of the
94:21blocking and freeing up Hunter Henry, but he's a guy that I've been targeting as well later on in my drafts.
94:28I like that. I'm going to take the Jets.
94:30I'm going to take your advice on that. Go with the three defenses.
94:35I'm going to park it at the defensive position.
94:37I feel like that's going to get us to be stalwart five picks between kickers and defense.
94:43I'm going to be happy with that. I have a couple of receivers in the queue.
94:48So whatever comes between now and then I'll make my pick depending on how it's looking.
94:53So I'm excited about the picks that I have coming up.
94:57And Eli Raired, and though you mentioned, I think he would be worthy.
95:01We did see Hunter Henry did get, what was it?
95:04A two year contract extension, but sometimes players just cannot be denied.
95:08What do you make though? So a rookie tight end, you know, break it down with Stowers and Sadiq.
95:14How much faith do you have in them as rookies because of their prospect profiles versus somebody like an Eli Raired in?
95:21Do you see Eli Raired in having a path to being able to play this year?
95:26I do see a path. I think he'll be out there.
95:29It's just a matter of how, how much will he play?
95:33Raritan is definitely really the biggest factor for him.
95:36By the way, he said, Raritan may be emergency may back stack.
95:40Yeah, totally, totally agree with that. And I think he has Drake May.
95:44So I think, I think he's trying to tell us to back off.
95:48But I don't know that we need to take Raritan this high anyway, but it's something to consider.
95:54Where are you leaning now? You're up in two picks.
95:57Is there anybody that sticks out to you that's still left on the board?
96:01Have a couple of receivers, have a couple of running backs that are of mind.
96:06And boom, this is the beauty of sometimes you go away from your skill position players because you fill in the kickers
96:13in the defense and you think, oh no, all the players that I want are going to be gone.
96:19How about we get a player here, Pete? Did he not just sign Najee Harris?
96:24Did he not just sign with the Giants? He did just sign with the Giants.
96:29Yep. He just signed with our team. So we have Najee Harris now.
96:33If there's any kind of bearishness, people think, okay, Tyrone Tracy got blown.
96:37He's blown up in that rep. And Jackson darts asking why he's going to blue medical tent.
96:42Well, man, you were on the ground for about 30 seconds.
96:46We get Najee Harris to come in, but I think there's stimulus to the fact that Cam Scadabo may not be fully right just yet.
96:54Is Najee Harris more of an anti-Tracy pick or a deterrent to the ceiling of Cam Scadabo?
96:59Because you seem to be of the mind that you're getting discount Scadabo.
97:04One thing that I saw in that route that people were picking apart with Scadabo was, hey, he doesn't trust his lower body yet to turn.
97:12But part of me was wondering, well, were you just doing that on the Giants crappy field and understanding that you don't want to trust the field yet?
97:21Maybe you trust yourself, but on that surface, you don't want to run the full route.
97:26So what do you think is smoke or noise between Cam Scadabo and what we have now with Najee Harris on our team?
97:33Yeah, I think Najee's not really more of a threat to Scadabo.
97:37It's going to be a pass protection player. Scadabo can hold up and pass pro too.
97:42Also, I think I saw a guy, the covers of Giants, that talked about how Harbaugh has historically the last couple of
97:49years, I think, carried four running backs plus a fullback on the roster.
97:53So I guess it's not super surprising. And maybe they just want to lift the floor in that room considering the injury
98:00history with Scadabo and some of the concerns that they might have a little bit with Tracy, especially as a guy to hold up and pass pro.
98:09And when you see your starting quarterback, your prized possession get knocked around like he did, you might kind of say, hey,
98:16well, Scadabo is a guy that could miss some time.
98:19And if he does, we don't want to leave it up to Tracy to be the guy back there protecting him if
98:26there are some concerns with him in pass protection.
98:29Yeah, it'll be interesting. I am not enamored one bit with Najee Harris, but I do recall, I think you took him
98:36in one of the drafts that we did together.
98:39And it was just a thought stimulus of he's going to land and operate and circle onto a team.
98:45And here he is. Land is encircled and operated not too far from JFK airport going to the New York Giants.
98:52And we'll see what that does to Cam Scadabo.
98:55May end up presenting a gift. I'll be interested to see if Cam Scadabo's ADP drops or plummets.
99:00Looking at the board, the next seven picks, Pete, are defenses and kickers.
99:04So get them while you can, because I think we're about to be all out on both positions.
99:10There goes my sweet Isaiah Davis. Love to have him.
99:13He's gone. Taj Brooks, good back-to-back picks for upside cuff running backs.
99:17I really do like Davis and Taj Brooks. As much as Braylon Allen is showing ahead, my God, if you watch Isaiah Davis, he looks so electric.
99:26And Taj Brooks, the Bengals seem to trust him, Pete.
99:29They didn't bring in any running back competition. As much as you're high on somebody like Chase Brown, I know, is it Smosh P.
99:37Ryan who's still there and passed downs? Yep. Do you trust?
99:40Who do you want? Smosh P. Ryan or Taj Brooks if it's not Chase Brown?
99:45Um, did you say Samaj P. Ryan's in Taj Brooks?
99:48Yeah, Taj Brooks. I thought you said Samaj Brooks for some reason.
99:52But yeah. I might have. I might have. My bad.
99:55No, you're good. It's, uh, it's Taj Brooks for me.
99:58Uh, not to say that he's going to be better than Samaj P.
100:03Ryan, but I'll take the younger player all day over P.
100:06Ryan who just doesn't have much upside. Um, you know, as it is, he might have a small role, but even if,
100:13if Brown was to go down, I don't know how high that ceiling is for him.
100:18Yeah. We see, uh, Jeremy Bernard go off. He, all this stuff, Pete, about Jeremy Bernard being fourth on the depth chart.
100:25I don't buy it one bit. He looked amazing in the green Bay game showing off a lot of what I've seen in the pre NFL draft process.
100:34I really liked Jeremy Bernard, the prospect. And here he is as a pro now going in round 25.
100:40What do you make of Jeremy Bernard? What's going on with the Steelers?
100:44Are you a Michael Pittman jr. Person or is it DK Metcalf?
100:48Is it just a little bit of Spider-Man meme with all three of these receivers?
100:53Who do you want in that passing game? Maybe throw in somebody like a Pat for Iron Muth.
100:59I don't know. You stumped me there. I'm over here looking, I'm, I'm, I'm looking at your board and, and I zoned out there.
101:06I, I need some coffee. I apologize. I, I, I zoned out there.
101:11Are you, did you say you saw it? You said Fryer, Ruth and Joe, but the Steelers offense.
101:16Is that, is that what you're getting at? Who do you think is a receiver?
101:21Like buried on the depth chart is Jeremy Bernard.
101:24Who do you think is the guy you want though?
101:27I, I kind of want Roman Wilson now just because he's cheaper and just the reports seem like he is he's doing well in camp.
101:35And I was always a big Roman Wilson fan.
101:38It just, you know, it was kind of the rollout for him.
101:42Didn't work out. He got injured. He was dealing with it and never really got back up and healthy.
101:48But I would, I would definitely prefer Roman Wilson.
101:51I think right now over Bernard, what about yourself?
101:54I really prefer right now. Like I love the prospect in a Jeremy Bernard.
101:58I like him for rookies dynasty formats, but give me Michael Pittman jr.
102:02This year is gross, disgusting. But when he goes say round nine in the draft, you don't have to pay some crazy price for him.
102:10And the problem with Aaron Rogers is he would hold onto the football too much last year.
102:16And I just see that being a scenario where you're going to get the football out just a little bit quicker to a bigger target.
102:24Give me Michael Pittman jr. And we see, I go Jack Batch.
102:27I'd like your opinion. What do you think of Jack Batch this year?
102:32Jack Batch is interesting. And who knows really what's going to go down in that room right now?
102:37There, there's so many different ancillary pieces. You could even say Michael Mayer is, is possibly that like wide, like the third
102:44in the pecking order for targets this year. It wouldn't surprise me if it's like Brock Bowers, Ashton Gentry, and then Michael Mayer.
102:52Like if they're run heavy, super, super heavy and Bowers is almost playing a role as if he's like a receiver.
102:58It wouldn't shock me, but yeah, I don't really have a hold on, on, on it.
103:03I don't necessarily want to draft Jack Batch, but in a league that's so deep like this, I don't mind taking chances on him.
103:11I'm thinking of the other kid who, who, who's the other guy that we, Benson, he's cheaper than Batch.
103:17Probably. I don't think he's gone off the board.
103:20No, he's still on the board. Yeah. And I do like that Keishon Boutte pick that went a couple of rounds ahead too.
103:27I'm surprised he was available this late too. Do you think he gets traded Boutte?
103:32I don't think so. I think if he would have, it would have happened by now, to be honest with you.
103:39So I'm going to say no. That's just what my gut's telling me now.
103:43All right. So Pete, I'm going to have a conundrum.
103:47There's two picks away. So if these two picks are the picks, it is what it is.
103:52But if we have at the tight end position, Oscar Delp to continue stack share in the saints, or is it Eli
103:59Raritan who, look, I'm sorry, man, but he's available now.
104:02And we've kind of pushed him down the board.
104:05Which direction do you want to go? I would probably go with Eli Raritan.
104:10That's who I would prefer. I think just talent wise, he's better.
104:13He has a chance to be better than Henry.
104:16I don't know that Delp will be better than Johnson.
104:19They both have strong rapport with their quarterbacks. But yeah, I would prefer Raritan.
104:24Hey, I pushed it down a few rounds. Hey, man, we just needed a third tight end at this point.
104:30And we said it first. We did. We sure did.
104:33We said it first. And you heard it second.
104:36FP Shooter said PPR, Brian Thomas Jr. or Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt.
104:40BTJ. Yeah, pretty comfortable BTJ for me. Yep. I'm sitting there saying, is that even rounds?
104:45Even keepers? They're like four rounds apart in redraft streets.
104:48Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt kind of goes neck and neck with Rashad White.
104:52I like the touchdown upside. But BTJ is, as much as we're in on Parker Washington, I think there's enough rounds arbitrage
104:59where BTJ is ahead of Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt comfortably.
105:02So I'm sitting there thinking, do you want to pay the higher?
105:06It's BTJ. Yeah. And Darren Waller goes, what do you make of his comeback?
105:10Is it going to be suitable to some spike weeks?
105:13Is it 40 catches and maybe a few touchdowns?
105:16Is it getting streaky with a Bryce Young breakout?
105:19What do you make of Darren Waller? Yeah. I mean, with Waller, it's really an indictment on how bad these skilled players
105:26are, in my opinion, on this team, outside of Coker and Tett.
105:30Right? Jatavion Sanders. We talked about him last time.
105:33But clearly, I think they don't think extremely high of Sanders at this point, or else they probably wouldn't have brought in Waller.
105:40So he must have felt like he would get an opportunity.
105:44Because at this stage of his career, you'd think he'd maybe want to go to somebody who's a contender or a better team.
105:51And he opted not to. So, yeah, I think that's really an indictment on the room in general.
105:57Hey, let's do one more break, and then we should be about ready for my next pick.
106:02The NFFC. My favorite high-stakes fantasy platform. Why? Third-round reversal.
106:05Kentucky Derby draft slot allocation. So it's a lottery-based system where you can put in your preference where you want to draft.
106:12It's full PPR. There's three receivers. It's the best place to play fantasy football, especially for high stakes.
106:18And now they've combined with the FFWC, they have a lot more contests to offer.
106:23In fact, they have a double crown bonus where you can join the NFFC primetime.
106:28And if you win that, $300,000. You can also join the Circo World Championship, and that's $200,000.
106:33You win both, you win a million dollars. So go to playNFFC.com slash profiler.
106:38And check the show description for a number of promo codes you can use.
106:42First time 100 to get $100 when you sign up.
106:45But also, every time you sign up for a new contest, we give you codes to use to get discounts on those entry fees as well.
106:54Thank you to the NFFC. They make our podcast network what it is.
106:58Man, you love to see it, Pete. This reminds me, because we're here in round 27.
107:03Michael Myers, what's the movie? Austin Power. Where he's at the water fountain.
107:07And he has to pee. I think his goal member, the third one.
107:11Yeah. The one with Beyonce. He's at a fountain.
107:14And he's just peeing. And he's got to keep the flow going.
107:18And he runs out of pee. And it's like he's just shooting everything that he can.
107:23That's kind of what it's like these last couple rounds where you're just trying to stab any active player with a pulse, any stimulus of news.
107:31Yeah, we're here in round 27. You love to see it.
107:35The run on defenses and kickers has happened. I'm looking over.
107:38It's all placeholder one, placeholder two. So no defenses.
107:41The only defense left are the Cardinals. And then the only kickers left are the Panthers and the Browns.
107:47So we had spoke before. We wanted to shift up our roster ship of our kickers and our defenses just a little bit.
107:55And I think we kind of nailed it right this week.
107:58What do you think? Yeah, I think so, too.
108:01And we got some good suggestions by a couple of – there was a veteran in the chat that was talking to
108:08us a little bit about what his thoughts were.
108:11And, yeah, I mean, I definitely agree. You touched on it before.
108:15But, you know, it's like even bad defenses can give you a spike week of 20 points, right?
108:20We see it all the time. That's why I stream defenses.
108:24And so when you think of it like that, it's like there's wide receivers.
108:28This guy is being taken in these rounds that it's like even in the best situation, what's the ceiling?
108:34What's their best pop game that can get them into our line?
108:38Timeout, Pete. Timeout, Pete. Okay, go ahead. Chris Bell or Torrey Horton?
108:42I'll go with the – I'll take the upside in Chris Bell.
108:46This late in the draft, he's healthy. I know we're both Torrey Horton guys.
108:50I think you might be able to get Torrey Horton on the way back too if you still want him.
108:57But Chris Bell practicing, less target competition there in my opinion.
109:00I guess I'd just prefer Bell. Some good news there.
109:03Oh, there goes Torrey Horton, funny enough. And look, he's on my board.
109:08But that's good because I had another player in the queue who I'm excited for.
109:12I won't mention him yet. Once this person makes their pick, I'm going to let you guess who the pick is.
109:19So we're just going to let that person – it's going to marinate.
109:23They've gone Malik Benson, Torrey Horton. Maybe they've been listening to this show.
109:27So it's tremendous what some players are or they're just that sharp.
109:31All right, who's a one wide receiver who I can get right now, Pete, that I can stack with one of my quarterbacks?
109:39Skyler – oh, Skyler Bell. Yes. Skyler Bell, man.
109:41He's 333 and this is 327. Right on the money.
109:45Nobody going crazy. I have not really heard much about him.
109:48We saw DJ Moore go completely off in the first game.
109:52Granted, there was some injury risk there. I think Khalil Shakir – is it right that he has some kind of injury he's dealing with?
110:00All of a sudden, Skyler Bell could just be a latent pick.
110:03But I'm not excited. I don't. I'm not – but I'm sitting there, hey, I got Ray Davis, Skyler Bell, something, something to go with Josh Allen.
110:12Yeah, and for Shakir, the question there about is he injured?
110:16He had the tight rope surgery, which you never want to hear.
110:19But it was good to see him playing in the preseason game, moving around, looking healthy.
110:24So that was a positive for Shakir. Beautiful, man.
110:27With the next two picks, I'm thinking I could end up maybe with another quarterback and maybe just like another stash running back at this point.
110:36And then we're on our merry way. Impressions of this draft, how it's gone.
110:40We've gotten sniped a few times, but we've gotten great value.
110:44And we're not talking about Walmart. We see Brandon Iyuko.
110:47Any intel there? Round 28? Or just this person is Mike Myers at the water fountain just trying to piss out some names?
110:54Yeah, I mean it's just a burned pick. I guess at this point, most of these picks, you're like, how much will they contribute?
111:02Jalen Tolbert's interesting. Skyler Bell, those are not bad picks.
111:05Isaiah Bond, I still think you can get value.
111:08I mean Taequann Thornton's going here. He did get hurt today in practice, it sounded like.
111:13But there's still enough value that I'm not just throwing money away on Brandon Iyuko.
111:18I just don't even think he's playing. Keanu Coleman was still on the board, which is absolutely nuts, Jay.
111:24I mean I know we took Skyler Bell. Coleman I think had a touchdown.
111:28Didn't he have a touchdown? He sure did. And I'm not buying it.
111:32Somebody else can pay up. And they can pay round 28 prices for all I'm concerned because I want nothing to do with him.
111:40Okay. That's fair enough. By the way, Jordan's in here in the house.
111:44By the way, thank you guys so much for watching.
111:47We still got 21 people live here on YouTube on the player profiler side.
111:52So I've said it a couple of times. I'll say it again.
111:56Please give us a thumbs up if you're watching on the YouTube side, watching the stream.
112:01If you're enjoying the show, it helps us out tremendously.
112:04So thank you guys so much for supporting us.
112:07Thanks for supporting me and Jeremiah. If you guys really like these shows, we'll continue to do them.
112:13We really, really do enjoy them. So thank you for the support.
112:16Jordan, maybe it's Jordan, but it says Jordan 24.
112:19I said, could you rate my team 14, man?
112:22Love, love, love playing in deep leagues like this.
112:25He said, pick 111 in half point PPR. PPR said PPR.
112:29He, he has Jen Daniels. He has Chase Brown, Gentty.
112:32He has Tet, Malik neighbors, Loveland. His flex is Tate, his DST, his Rams, and he's got Fairburn.
112:38I mean, that's pretty interesting of a build for a 14 man, Jay.
112:42I mean, you're getting Chase Brown and Gentty at the, at the one two.
112:46It sounded like, I don't know if it was at the full turn, but he was still able to manage getting neighbors and Tet.
112:54That's a really, really awesome build for your first four.
112:57And then you get an elite quarterback with Jaden Daniels and you managed to get Colson Loveland.
113:02This is a, that's pretty rare. Now it is half point PPR, Jay.
113:07So maybe Chase Brown, maybe slipped and maybe he wasn't as high as we're thinking.
113:11Maybe it was neighbors that was in the second round and Chase Brown fell a little bit, but I really liked this build.
113:19Yeah. And you get to flex with Carnell Tate.
113:22I, I think it's one of those things where in a 14, there's little to no room for error, but if there
113:29is error, you can tight rope a team like this.
113:32And that's, that's the team that I like in a 14 team.
113:36If you were to tell us, this is what you would get in a 12 team league, we'd be saying, yeah, that's pretty good.
113:43So on that scale, it's an awesome 14 team league.
113:46So good on you, Jordan, 24. But by the way, our, our guy, Brad finally pulled the trigger on Bryce Lance.
113:53Uh, so he just took them. I didn't think.
113:56Yeah. You can have him. Yeah. I love it though.
113:59I think that's a great pick. Yeah. Yeah. So do I, uh, Robert, uh, Goldman's in the house.
114:05I know Robert, a long time listener, uh, from time at face off.
114:09Appreciate you watching the show. He said, interesting show.
114:12Uh, thanks so much, man. Thank you for, for watching and supporting us.
114:16Uh, Joden said, thanks a lot, of course. And yeah, like I said, uh, just so you get, so while you guys
114:23are listening, just talk a little bit about in season plans for myself and Jeremiah.
114:28So, uh, me and Jeremiah on Thursday nights in season, uh, before kickoff, uh, we're going to do a, probably an hour long show.
114:36We're going to give you visually our rankings, uh, for, you know, the week of where we have players.
114:42Um, so we'll give you guys enough time a couple of days before Sunday locks to check in and get an idea of where we are.
114:50We'll also give a couple of betting plays as well for that Thursday night football game and maybe anything that we'd like,
114:57uh, for early looks towards the Sunday game. So we're excited for that.
115:01That's going to be a really fun show. That's going to be on Thursday nights.
115:06Uh, and then for Tuesdays, I'm going to be doing waiver wired at 7am, uh, in season.
115:11And then Jeremiah, uh, I believe you're going to be doing, uh, DSTs and kickers on your side, uh, as well.
115:18Um, when do you plan on dropping those for yourself?
115:21Yeah, the, the DST kickers I'll drop Sunday night.
115:24And as soon as I can get it posted, I believe in people getting things.
115:29Usually what I'll do is I'll talk about as I go, Devin Neal, cool upside back there.
115:34Uh, I'll, I'll talk about, Hey, the Monday night game, a player gets hurt, you know, there's action there for a defense that you could attack.
115:43But I do believe in looking at some of the Vegas lines for the next week and getting those numbers out real
115:50quick because you want to just have some action for the people.
115:53Um, ran really hot on kickers last year and defenses.
115:57Shev and I had three consecutive weeks where we went sub 1% rostered defenses on ESPN format.
116:02I go by ESPN and sleeper because that's what most people play right in their, their managed leagues.
116:08It's a lot of fun. Kyme Fairbairn. Somebody mentioned Fairbairn as their kicker in one of these teams.
116:14He was just clutch, man. To get him above 50% roster ship took forever.
116:18And we just rode that train all the way up.
116:21Jason Myers was another one on Seattle, the Superbowl champs.
116:24He crushed. So it's a whole lot of fun and it's fun getting knowledge from you, Pete, because I know you're a
116:31real sharp gamer in the defensive streets. And it's going to be fun Thursday nights, chopping it up, maybe posting out some,
116:38some bets that we may be interested in. And all this player knowledge, all the step chart from round 20 to 30,
116:45you're probably looking at, if you just do an exercise of round 20 to round 30, that's probably going to make up
116:53a majority of your waiver wire for the season.
116:55Like you're reading tomorrow's paper today by looking at these.
116:59So an exercise you can do is look at a lot of these drafts and just look at the deep cuts and
117:06just see, okay, Jack Petch, maybe a week one waiver wire pick.
117:09I got him in round 25. He goes off.
117:12He looked really good in preseason, but maybe it's Malik Benson to what we were talking about before.
117:18And he goes to team two. So these are all just things that you want to tap in player profiler.
117:24Pete and I have a lot going on and I'm going to take Joe Flacco with my last pick.
117:30He's my fourth quarterback and I didn't get Joe Burrow.
117:34So the cope is I'm going to take what's not here.
117:37That's a smart plan. And to close out, by the way, just the content plan in the future.
117:43Yeah. So and Robert said, you know, love your defense rankings.
117:46I just scream. And Robert, from that perspective, I'm still going to do DST.
117:51It's just going to be over on my sub stack as well.
117:55So you'll be able to get Jeremiah's here on player profiler.
117:58If you want mine, you'll be able to get mine there.
118:02A lot of that, a lot of Jay's rankings and his DST stuff.
118:06We're going to collaborate off of each other too as well.
118:09So, you know, you'll get some, some similar thoughts there.
118:13I just won't be doing the videos anymore. I'm just trying to get out on written form just because it's going to
118:20be quicker and faster, just a little bit more balanced for my life in season.
118:24But you can also follow me on sub stack there.
118:28I just sent it in a chat. You can subscribe for free.
118:31Doesn't cost anything and you'll be able to get content there.
118:35And then Thursdays will be fun, Jay, because we'll definitely talk about our defense rankings because, you know, you'll have done a
118:42show and I'll have my, my DST content up already.
118:45So those will be fun shows excited for it.
118:48We've got pretty much one round left here. Joe Flacco, honestly, a really, really crazy value.
118:53I know it sounds silly to be excited about like players this deep and, and what have you, but I'm honestly shocked.
119:00Flacco is there with your last pick at pick 30.
119:03He's been, you know, he's, he's played every single year as a backup for the last three, four years.
119:09He's always getting in. So really, really love that pick.
119:13That was a sharp pick by you. It's funny.
119:15Thank you. And look, your LaQuinn Allen, who you love.
119:19He was on my mind. Somebody I thought about.
119:22Mac Jones went in round 29 and that just triggered.
119:25Okay. I'm not going to play the Mac Jones lottery at this point.
119:29I'm just going to get a stack with my first 1.3 overall pick.
119:33Jamar chase. And for some reason, every single season, Joe Flacco gets on the football field.
119:38Don't know if that's a bad omen for Joe Burrow.
119:41Same time to the story that we're telling for this team in this chapter, the story would lay out in success.
119:48Joe Flacco seeing the field and my God, somebody who could give 17 targets to Jamar chase.
119:53Like, yes, I meet all the way up. And he's my fourth quarterback as well, because I have Deshaun Watson for the Browns.
120:01And I have that with Casey Concepcion. And then I have Tyler Shuck with Chris Olave and Jordan Tyson, who I got the price paid up for Olave.
120:10And then I got a discount on Jordan Tyson.
120:13And then now I have a stack share with Joe Flacco and Chase.
120:17And then Josh Allen, I have the craziest backdoor of Ray Davis and Skylar Bell.
120:22So you love to see it. And, you know, we'll see what happens with the team.
120:27Let me read it off, Pete, and just give your impression.
120:30I'll just explain it. I kind of talked about how I felt about it.
120:35You can talk about it. And then we'll wrap the show up.
120:38Jamar chase round one. Olave round two. Jeremiah love falls around three.
120:42Josh Allen falls around four. Parker Washington falls around five.
120:45Jadarian Price round six. We reach a little for Casey Concepcion in round seven.
120:50Round eight, a little dip on Tyson. Jonah Coleman at round nine.
120:54Tyler Shuck to complete the Saints stack with Olave and Tyson in round 10.
120:58Our first tight end was Isaiah Likely round 11.
121:01We keep the tradition of the Cowboys. I don't know what we'll do if we never get them.
121:07The Cowboys kickers in round 12. Emmitt Johnson round 13.
121:10Seahawks defense in round 14. Back to back round 15, 16.
121:14Ray Davis and DeMond Claiborne. Our second tight end in round 17.
121:17Greg Dulcich and Caleb Douglas following in round 18.
121:20So two Dolphins there. Round 19. Deshaun Watson completes the stack with Casey Concepcion.
121:25We get the Saints defense. Sean Tucker, Tampa Bay Buccaneers kickers.
121:28Jets defense. Round 24. Newly signed Najee Harris with the Giants.
121:32Jack Betch in round 25. We'll see if he's a Raiders receiver we want.
121:36Eli Raritan. We tried to push him down the board.
121:39We sure did. And we got him in round 26.
121:43Chris Bell. Skylar Bell. Did not mean to do that.
121:4627, 28 respectively. Devin Neal. An upside. Low key play in the Saints backfield.
121:50And then Joe Flacco to wrap it up in round 30.
121:54So your thoughts, Pete? Yeah, I think this was a good draft.
121:58I was happy with the results. I think we got some really nice values.
122:02And I'm happy with it. Running back, still a little dicey.
122:06We'll see how it goes. But we know this is a wide receiver heavy format.
122:10So, you know, that's a positive there. And again, it is best ball, right?
122:15And so, you know, either way, we don't get to worry too much about who are we going to start.
122:21So, yeah, we love that. And by the way, still 21 people live here on Player Profiler on the YouTube side.
122:28So, again, thank you guys so much for watching.
122:31Make sure you guys tune in. If you guys like mine and Jay's content, you know, we are coming out with content every single week.
122:39Me and Jay are doing at least two videos together.
122:42And then I've been posting, you know, some videos here and there.
122:46I just had Jeff Muller on Injury Doctor over at Fantasy Points.
122:50He's going to be dropping a video with me that's coming out later this week.
122:54Me and Jeremiah are probably going to do a mock draft with live players, a lot of sharp players earlier this week as well.
123:02So excited for that. Looks like we have one more question and then we'll send us out of here.
123:08Hey, man, give me a Mecca Buka. It's all the way.
123:12I love Terry McLaurin. Happy PR. Send it for Mecca Buka.
123:15The ADP dip that you might get from the injury for a Buka will still have him ahead of Terry McLaurin.
123:22So, for all my money, I want somebody like a Mecca Buka.
123:26So, great question. Thank you, everybody, for showing, tapping in.
123:29Five stars, like, rate, review, thumbs up, share, all the stuff for us.
123:33It goes a long way. Thanks for tapping in.
123:36We will see you next week. It goes a long way.
123:39Thank you.
