Aaron Rodgers

NegativeMatchup66:33

Matt Kelley speculates that if Aaron Rodgers departs the Packers, it could create a favorable dump-off situation for Jalen Warren, potentially aligning perfectly with Warren's skill set and making him an even stronger hold in dynasty.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveBreakout68:00

Antonio Williams is mentioned as a reclamation project or breakout candidate to target in dynasty trades; he's positioned among players where 'things are about to click into place' for them, making them viable trade targets for rebuilding teams.

Insight page

Bo Melton

NegativeDepth Chart17:30

Bo Melton was converted from cornerback to wide receiver in the Packers depth chart, representing the lack of quality depth behind Matthew Golden.

Insight page

Bo Nix

PositiveProjection27:54

Matt Kelley views Bo Nix as a placeholder quarterback who does the bare minimum—he runs enough and throws well enough but offers no compelling reason to draft him; Kelley doesn't own Nix in any of his dynasty startups and explicitly avoids him in favor of either premium early-round quarterbacks like Caleb Williams or late-round discount options like Patrick Mahomes or Dak Prescott. Kelley ranks Nix as quarterback 20 or 21, equivalent to Geno Smith, and notes that Nix is the super-flex asset he thinks about least, which he considers a negative indicator.

Insight page
PositiveValue27:54

Matt Kelley initially considered buying low on Bo Nix but reversed course after learning Colin Cowherd holds the same bearish view, stating he cannot be seen or heard having the same take as Cowherd and declaring 'Bo Nix stinks. I don't want him.' This reflects Kelley's strong negative sentiment on the quarterback despite potential discount pricing.

Insight page
NegativeProjection30:49

Bo Nix has been steadily dropping in dynasty rankings week-over-week due to Denver's high pass rate, low play volume, lack of efficiency, and overall poor performance; Matt Kelley advises against trading him away and suggests that selling low is unlikely to yield 2025 value, with only about 1 in 25 league mates willing to pay fair value for him.

Insight page
NegativeValue47:03

Jamie Parag has zero shares of Bo Nix, indicating a lack of confidence or interest in the quarterback.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveValue60:35

Matt Kelley values Braylon Allen at a 2027 second-round pick by himself in dynasty; PlayerProfiler is the only dynasty ranking service with Allen in the top 25 running backs. Kelley rejected a trade offer that included Allen because the counterparty tried to sneak him into a package deal, indicating high conviction on Allen's dynasty value relative to market perception.

Insight page
PositiveRole62:49

Braylon Allen has earned a 100% snap share on his NFL team, which Kelley describes as exceptionally difficult to achieve at any time in the league. This elite snap share demonstrates Allen is performing at a high level and earning his role in a major way.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeProjection53:12

Brian Thomas is a literal zero in the Saints' run-heavy offense; he's getting only three targets per game and is dropping passes that would have been touchdowns. As a wide receiver two or three in an elite offense with no incentive to pass, he's one of the biggest casualties of the Saints' game-management approach.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout67:48

Brian Thomas is mentioned as a reclamation project or rookie breakout candidate to target in dynasty trades; he's positioned among players like Jordan Addison where 'things are about to click into place' for them, making them viable trade targets for rebuilding teams.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveRole22:07

Matt Kelley identifies Rock Bowers as a cornerstone asset in his dynasty roster, retaining him while selling off aging players like Mike Evans and Saquon Barkley; Bowers is a key younger piece in Kelley's rebuild strategy.

Insight page

Bryce Young

NegativeProjection30:23

Bryce Young is used as an example of a lower-tier quarterback that dynasty owners might irrationally trade for when overreacting to short-term performance data, illustrating the volatility of crowdsourced ranking systems like Keep Trade Cut.

Insight page
NegativeBust48:48

Matt Kelley cites Bryce Young as the best example of first-round pick bias in crowdsourced dynasty ranking services. Kelley notes the public quickly wanted to course-correct on Young after initially rating him as elite, illustrating how biased crowdsourced data is toward first-round draft picks.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveProjection28:48

Matt Kelley's dynasty strategy centers on either acquiring premium quarterbacks early or waiting for late-round discounts; Caleb Williams is his preferred premium early-round target, and Kelley has acquired him in multiple startup leagues. In one startup with co-host Cody, Cody drafted Caleb Williams at pick 102 in super-flex, which Kelley described as aggressive but understandable given the competition for the prospect.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveRole22:34

Matt Kelley retains Chris Bell as a younger asset in his dynasty roster; Bell is part of Kelley's core rebuild pieces alongside other young talent.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout68:00

Chris Bell is mentioned as a reclamation project or breakout candidate to target in dynasty trades; he's positioned among players where 'things are about to click into place' for them, making them viable trade targets for rebuilding teams.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

NegativeBust65:10

Matt Kelley uses Chris Godwin as a cautionary example of a player on a decline arc due to multiple lower-body injuries that have diminished explosiveness. Godwin is compared to DJ Moore as a similar case of a once-elite player now relegated to "dust" status in dynasty, despite maintaining volume. The injury history and loss of explosiveness make Godwin a sell or hold-only situation.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveProjection49:09

Matt Kelley uses Chris Olave as a volume-based comparison point to Parker Washington. Olave will accumulate more total fantasy points than Washington over the next 3-4 years because Olave's team (Saints) is built to pass and score fantasy points, whereas the Jaguars are built to run and play defense. Kelley also references stacking Shuck with Olave as a past strategy.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveProjection19:12

Christian Watson is performing as a wide receiver three overall in 2024, validating the off-season strategy of targeting him in rounds 8-12 of dynasty startups. Matt Kelley emphasizes the signal was clear: no Don'Tavius Wicks, narrow target tree between Reed, Golden, Watson, and Tucker Kraft, contract extension, and Josh Jacobs suspension opening opportunity. Watson was positioned as a firewall receiver to build around, with underlying metrics suggesting first-round caliber despite being drafted in the second round.

Insight page
PositiveValue20:45

Matt Kelley views Christian Watson as significantly more valuable than Jordan Addison, rejecting an offer to trade Addison and a 2027 second for Watson; Watson is the preferred asset in this dynasty comparison.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeValue72:15

Matt Kelley characterizes trading Chuba Hubbard as a clear sell-high situation; he notes that nobody views Hubbard as an elite asset and that offloading him in a rebuild makes sense, though the trade context (Laporta Hubbard and a third for a 2025 first) involves giving up a productive tight end alongside the running back.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

NegativeRole46:35

Matt Kelley traded away DJ Moore as part of his dynasty rebuild, viewing him as an older asset that needed to be moved to avoid being stuck with declining players on a middling team.

Insight page
NegativeBust65:14

Matt Kelley compares DJ Moore to Chris Godwin on a negative career arc, noting both players have suffered multiple lower-body injuries and lost explosiveness. While Moore maintains great volume situations, Kelley views both as essentially "dust" in dynasty, with similar tiers on PlayerProfiler rankings despite Moore ranking higher on crowdsourced services. The lack of explosiveness and injury history make them comparable decline cases.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveValue15:00

Dak Prescott was available in rounds four-to-five range of dynasty startups, allowing teams to pair him with Christian Watson as a quarterback-receiver stack.

Insight page
PositiveValue29:18

Matt Kelley successfully acquired Dak Prescott at a round discount in multiple dynasty startups; Prescott was one of his target quarterbacks after the premium early-round options, representing his strategy of waiting for late-round value on established starting quarterbacks.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveValue14:00

Devante Adams was a tier unto himself in dynasty startups, often still available on the board despite being 33 years old. Matt Kelley notes Adams was part of the strategy to find undervalued receivers, and mentions stacking him with Matthew Stafford as a fun team construction approach.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeRole26:50

Montgomery's role in Houston has become precarious despite the Texans investing significant money in him; the source notes that the team quickly pulled him off the field after a couple of weeks, exemplifying how modern NFL teams are willing to bench expensive veterans in favor of merit-based backfield decisions, suggesting his workload and fantasy value are at risk.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveBreakout67:24

Denzel Boston is identified as a young, exciting player with explosive plays early in his career; the speaker notes that acquiring such a player in a trade for a premium running back is unlikely, positioning Boston as a high-upside prospect that win-now teams would not readily part with.

Insight page

Derek Carr

PositiveProjection51:58

Derek Carr, like Jordan Love, is in an elite offensive environment (Green Bay) where he will outscore Trevor Lawrence more often than not. While Green Bay's offensive line is cartoonishly bad and impacts Love in some games, most weeks the Packers can figure it out and Carr/Love will post 350+ yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.

Insight page

Emmett Johnson

NegativeValue67:02

Emmett Johnson is mentioned as a potential asset to acquire in dynasty trades when rebuilding; he's listed among players like Nicholas Singleton and Jacoby Lane as reasonable complementary pieces to add to a deal for a premium running back like Jaylen Warren to balance the trade value.

Insight page

Fernando Mendoza

PositiveProjection3:00

Fernando Mendoza is one of three strong quarterbacks on Matt Kelley's dynasty team, making him a core asset that reduces the need for additional QB acquisitions like Tyler Huntley.

Insight page

Geno Smith

NegativeValue28:28

Matt Kelley views Geno Smith as a cost-effective alternative to Bo Nix; both are ranked as quarterback 20 or 21, but Geno Smith can be acquired at significantly less cost, making him the superior value play for dynasty teams seeking a placeholder quarterback.

Insight page
NegativeProjection30:00

Geno Smith is ranked quarterback 20 in dynasty rankings, reflecting his limited upside in the current system.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeValue26:02

Matt Kelley describes George Kittle as 'on the older side' but 'still a great asset' in dynasty. He traded Kittle away as part of a rebuild, pairing him with DJ Less and receiving Jonah Coleman and two second-round picks. Kelley frames the deal as favorable for the contending team (getting Kittle's immediate production) while allowing him to stack picks for future value.

Insight page
NegativeRole46:35

Matt Kelley traded away George Kittle as part of his dynasty rebuild, viewing him as an older asset that needed to be moved to avoid being stuck with declining players on a middling team.

Insight page
NegativeProjection72:56

Matt Kelley notes that George Kittle is one of the few elite tight ends who could be traded away in non-premium tight end formats without significant downside, but he has a Chris Godwin problem—limited years remaining and several low-production games—making him a candidate to trade despite elite status.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

PositiveRole26:30

Matt Kelley declares 'it's over, man' for JK Dobbins in the Ravens backfield, signaling the end of his fantasy relevance. This assessment supports the bullish case for Jonah Coleman's imminent breakout and increased role in the offense.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveProjection19:12

Jalen Coker was the endpoint of the four-to-five-round sweet spot for wide receivers in dynasty startups, paired with Christian Watson at the start. Matt Kelley notes Coker was part of the strategy to find undervalued receivers in their prime with first-round-caliber metrics, and was one of the few in that range to hit this year.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

PositiveInjury19:12

Jaden Reed was the only wide receiver in the four-to-five-round sweet spot (Christian Watson to Jalen Coker) that did not hit this year. Matt Kelley notes Reed was injured, which opened opportunity for Matthew Golden in the Packers passing game. Reed was part of the narrow target tree alongside Watson, Golden, and Tucker Kraft.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveValue64:34

Matt Kelley argues Jalen Warren should not be traded despite being in a rebuild; Warren is young for his age at 28 and follows the Terry McLaurin corollary—players who have been healthy and efficient throughout their twenties can play well into their thirties. Warren has years ahead of him with no signs of slowing down, making him a hold even in rebuilds unless the quarterback situation dramatically improves (e.g., Aaron Rodgers departure leading to dump-off opportunities). If selling, Kelley recommends getting additional assets beyond a second-round pick rather than accepting a first-rounder equivalent.

Insight page
PositiveValue67:00

Warren has been awesome this year and super efficient, super productive; he's even underperformed his expected fantasy points despite putting up 20 fantasy points per game and should be scoring more. He's described as a discount version of Jameer Gibbs this year when watching the Steelers. In dynasty trade context, a second and third rounder alone is insufficient compensation for Warren given his current production and efficiency; the speaker would want additional assets like Jacoby Lane, Emmett Johnson, or Nicholas Singleton attached to balance a deal.

Insight page
PositiveProjection70:59

Matt Kelley highlights that Jalen Warren's dynasty value has shifted dramatically; three to four months ago, discussing him as a first-round pick would have seemed crazy, but current on-the-fly dynasty analysis now includes him in first-round discussions, reflecting significant upside reassessment mid-season.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveRole22:34

Matt Kelley retains Jonah Coleman as a younger asset in his dynasty roster; Coleman is part of Kelley's core rebuild pieces alongside other young talent.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout26:02

Matt Kelley identifies Jonah Coleman as a league-winner prospect in dynasty, particularly given the inefficiency and decline of current Ravens running backs. He traded for Coleman (sending George Kittle, DJ Less, and receiving two second-round picks), viewing him as a high-upside backup waiting to take over. Kelley emphasizes Coleman is 'bigger, better, faster, more explosive' than the players he's backing up and expects his role to expand significantly upon return from injury.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout26:47

Coleman is positioned as a potential breakout candidate in Baltimore's backfield; he's described as a bigger, better, faster, more explosive version of the player he's backing up (JK Dobbins), and the source notes that teams around the league are increasingly willing to upgrade on veteran backs when younger talent in the wings proves superior, citing the Texans' quick benching of David Montgomery as evidence of this trend toward meritocratic backfield decisions.

Insight page
NegativeValue67:02

Jonah Coleman is mentioned as a potential asset to acquire in dynasty trades when rebuilding; he's listed among players like Emmett Johnson and Mike Washington as reasonable complementary pieces to add to a deal for a premium running back to balance trade value.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

NegativeValue11:24

Jordan Addison was offered to Matt Kelley in a trade proposal (2027 second-round pick for Christian Watson), which Kelley rejected as absurd. The offer reflects Addison's diminished value compared to prior years; Kelley notes 'yesterday's price is not today's price,' indicating Addison's stock has fallen significantly.

Insight page
NegativeValue20:45

Matt Kelley rejected a trade offer of Jordan Addison at a 2027 first and 2027 second for Christian Watson, calling it an absurd and offensive offer that wastes time; the implication is Addison is significantly overvalued relative to Watson at that price.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout67:48

Jordan Addison is mentioned as a reclamation project or rookie breakout candidate to target in dynasty trades; he's positioned among players like Brian Thomas where 'things are about to click into place' for them, making them viable trade targets for rebuilding teams.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveProjection51:58

Jordan Love, like Derek Carr, is in an elite offensive environment (Green Bay) where he will outscore Trevor Lawrence more often than not. While Green Bay's offensive line is cartoonishly bad and impacts Love in some games (like against the Vikings' elite defense), most weeks the Packers can figure it out and Love will post 350+ yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

PositiveRole22:34

Matt Kelley retains Jordan Tyson as a younger asset in his dynasty roster; Tyson is part of Kelley's core rebuild pieces alongside other young talent.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper67:38

Jordan Tyson is identified as the number one target for rebuilding teams in dynasty trades with win-now teams; the speaker calls him the ideal player to acquire in such scenarios, though acknowledges it's uncommon. Tyson is positioned as a high-upside young player that would make a trade 'a smash' if successfully acquired.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveSleeper67:16

Josh Downs is mentioned as a buy-low wide receiver option that could be acquired in dynasty trades when rebuilding against a win-now team. He's positioned as an accessible target in trade scenarios where a rebuilding team needs running back help and can offer a win-now team a discounted receiver.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

PositiveRole15:30

Josh Jacobs' suspension or placement on the commissioner's exempt list opened opportunity in the Packers offense for Christian Watson and other pass catchers. This was identified as a compounding signal supporting Watson's breakout.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveValue31:42

Justin Herbert is the preferred buy-low candidate over Bo Nix in dynasty; despite current injury issues to his offensive line and receivers, Herbert has a superior statistical resume with multiple 20+ fantasy points per game seasons early in his career, making him a better long-term investment than Bo Nix, whose struggles stem from offensive dysfunction rather than external circumstances.

Insight page
NegativeValue43:38

Justin Herbert cannot be sold low in dynasty despite Chargers dysfunction because there is no market for him; holding is the only viable option as his trade value has evaporated.

Insight page
NegativeProjection47:42

Matt Kelley uses Justin Herbert as a comparable for Trevor Lawrence's rushing upside (200-300 yards, ~5 rushing TDs per year). Kelley also notes Herbert has a Jacksonville Jaguars problem: an elite defense and strong offensive line that limits passing volume. Kelley explains that to score 20+ fantasy points per game as a QB, you need a porous secondary, inability to run the ball, and downfield weapons—the opposite of Herbert's situation.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveRole44:31

Mitchell is the only Chargers player currently capable of producing in their dysfunctional offense; he excels in space and can make defenders miss on swing passes and flat routes, making him the only viable offensive weapon for the team.

Insight page

Keon Coleman

NegativeValue60:50

Keon Coleman was included in a trade package Matt Kelley rejected in his dynasty league. Kelley was offered a 2027 first-round pick (projected 1.12 from the best team) plus mid-level assets for Coleman, Terry McLaurin, Braylon Allen, and Will Shipley, but declined because the first was only a 5-6 slot trade-up from his early second-round pick.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeRole50:19

Kyler Murray previously had to make plays and put his health at risk with the Cardinals because they had no choice and needed to score points. He has since created a new persona as 'professional Kyler Murray' where he takes care of the football, doesn't make mistakes, and manages the game to post 15 fantasy points per game and a 13-4 record. This is contrasted with Trevor Lawrence's similar game-management role.

Insight page
NegativeProjection50:19

Matt Kelley compares Kyler Murray's situation to Trevor Lawrence's: both play for teams with structural limitations that force them to take on unnecessary risk. Murray had to make plays and put his health at risk with the Cardinals because they had no choice and needed to score points. Kelley implies this is a negative for fantasy production and player health.

Insight page

Mac Jones

PositiveRole41:50

Matt Kelley is holding Mac Jones as a keeper piece in dynasty, believing he will secure an NFL job in the future, particularly if Arch Manning returns to college, reducing quarterback supply in the league.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

NegativeBust17:00

Matthew Golden is a 23-year-old first-round pick running as a wide receiver two in fantasy with a 50% catch rate and unrealized air yards. Matt Kelley cautions against early celebration of a breakout, noting Golden was not productive in college, scores poorly on advanced models like the breakout finder, and benefits from an artificial situation (Jaden Reed injury, worst run game in league at 32nd in run blocking). Golden is positioned as an inefficient, volume-dependent receiver with no depth chart competition, making him a sell-high candidate despite first-round capital.

Insight page
NegativeProjection66:50

Matthew Golden is mentioned in passing as a high-volume player; the speaker references 'five weeks of max volume, Matthew golden' in the context of discussing Fantasy Receipts' recent provocative takes and breakout calls.

Insight page
NegativeUsage69:52

Matt Kelley notes that Matthew Golden has received max volume after five weeks, suggesting high usage but also noting that press coverage and fantasy analysis pressure may be driving provocative takes around his performance.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

PositiveRole22:07

Matt Kelley retains Michael Mayer as a younger asset in his dynasty roster while selling off aging players; Mayer is part of Kelley's core rebuild pieces alongside Rock Bowers.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveProjection19:12

Michael Wilson was a third-round target in dynasty startups as part of the strategy to find undervalued receivers in their prime (age 24-27) with first-round-caliber metrics. Matt Kelley notes Michael Wilson was included in the Watson-Washington teams that are in first place. Wilson was positioned as a non-first-round pick with strong underlying metrics, though he went before Jalen Coker in the startup draft.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeRole21:31

Matt Kelley traded away Mike Evans as an aging asset in a sell-off strategy, bundling him with Saquon Barkley and Romeo Doubs to acquire 2027 draft capital; Kelley views Evans as non-essential to his dynasty rebuild despite recent performance.

Insight page
NegativeValue23:34

Matt Kelley characterizes trading Mike Evans as a sell-high situation, noting his age (30 years old) and injury risk as dynasty concerns. He successfully traded Evans alongside Saquon Barkley for a 2027 first and second, but emphasizes this deal is difficult to execute in most leagues; many owners won't entertain offers involving aging players even for early picks. The core risk: older players like Evans are 'a concerning injury away from essentially being useless,' with dynasty value that can 'turn to dust.'

Insight page
NegativeRole46:35

Matt Kelley traded away Mike Evans as part of his dynasty rebuild, viewing him as an older asset that needed to be moved to avoid being stuck with declining players on a middling team.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

NegativeValue67:02

Mike Washington is mentioned as a potential asset to acquire in dynasty trades when rebuilding; he's listed among players like Emmett Johnson and Jonah Coleman as reasonable complementary pieces to add to a deal for a premium running back to balance trade value.

Insight page

Nicholas Singleton

NegativeRole26:40

Matt Kelley mentions Nicholas Singleton as an example of a backup running back waiting in the wings who is 'bigger, better, faster, more explosive' than the starter he's backing up. This is part of a broader point about running backs like Jonah Coleman who are positioned to take over their respective backfields.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout26:49

Singleton is highlighted as one of several running backs waiting in the wings who are bigger, better, faster, and more explosive versions of the players they're currently backing up; the source emphasizes that teams are increasingly willing to make quick backfield changes based on merit rather than draft pedigree or salary.

Insight page
NegativeValue67:16

Nicholas Singleton is mentioned as a potential asset to acquire in dynasty trades when rebuilding; he's listed among players like Emmett Johnson as reasonable complementary pieces to add to a deal for a premium running back to balance trade value.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveRole22:34

Matt Kelley retains Marion Hampton as a younger asset in his dynasty roster; Hampton is part of Kelley's core rebuild pieces alongside other young talent.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveProjection13:18

Parker Washington is virtually unaffected by Trevor Lawrence's game-management approach and the Saints' run-heavy offensive environment; while there will be some weeks with limited volume due to no incentive to pass, most weeks he will eat and be the biggest winner in this scenario. His efficiency makes him resilient even when the Saints don't need to throw.

Insight page
PositiveRole13:18

Parker Washington is one of the most talented receivers in the league and works out fanatically, making him one of the least injury-prone receivers; built like a running back rather than a typical wide receiver, he avoids the ticky-tack injuries (hip pointers, hamstring strains, calf strains, ankle/foot injuries) that plague other receivers who are described as sports cars that get nicked up. This durability is a key reason to love him in dynasty.

Insight page
PositiveProjection19:12

Parker Washington was a sixth-round target in dynasty startups as part of the Packers passing game strategy. Matt Kelley notes he has teams with Watson and Washington in first place, validating the off-season targeting strategy. Washington was grouped with Christian Watson, Michael Wilson, and Jalen Coker as non-first-round picks with first-round-caliber underlying metrics in the age 24-27 prime window.

Insight page
PositiveUsage49:09

Matt Kelley praises Parker Washington as an efficiency monster who produces without high volume. Washington doesn't lead the league in targets or air yards, but he converts opportunities into fantasy points through explosive plays (e.g., taking slants to the house). Kelley warns that even Parker Washington will have low-volume weeks, and he will never compete with Chris Olave in total seasonal fantasy points over the next 3-4 years due to the Jaguars' run-first, defense-first team design.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveValue29:18

Matt Kelley successfully acquired Patrick Mahomes at a round discount in multiple dynasty startups, securing him in the fourth round; this represents his strategy of waiting for late-round value on premium quarterbacks rather than reaching early.

Insight page
NegativeProjection30:23

Matt Kelley uses Patrick Mahomes as an example of a top-tier quarterback whose dynasty value should remain sticky and not be traded away based on short-term performance fluctuations; overreacting to four weeks of data at the quarterback position in dynasty is a path to poor decision-making.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeValue43:38

Quinton Johnston is identified as the only Chargers player safe to sell low on because his value was entirely tied to offensive performance; now that the Chargers offense is dysfunctional, Johnston can be traded away without regret, unlike other Chargers receivers who cannot be moved.

Insight page
NegativeValue47:03

Quinton Johnston has minimal trade value; Matt Kelley immediately discarded him from orphan teams he took over, using him as a throw-in asset to balance trades. Jamie Parag also has zero shares of Johnston.

Insight page
NegativeValue47:21

Matt Kelley dismisses Quinton Johnston as a throw-in asset in trades, indicating minimal fantasy value and willingness to move him for minimal return.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

PositiveUsage26:30

Matt Kelley cites RJ Harvey's inefficient usage as evidence that the Ravens backfield is ripe for a changing of the guard. Harvey's poor performance and inefficiency support the case for Jonah Coleman's imminent breakout and increased role.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

PositiveRole15:30

Romeo Doubs is out of town, reducing the target tree in the Packers passing game. This was part of the signal supporting Christian Watson and Tucker Kraft as targets in dynasty startups.

Insight page
NegativeRole21:31

Matt Kelley traded away Romeo Doubs alongside Mike Evans and Saquon Barkley to acquire 2027 draft capital in a sell-off strategy; Doubs is classified as a non-essential asset in Kelley's dynasty rebuild.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

NegativeProjection70:27

Matt Kelley ranks Sam Laporta as the tight end five in dynasty based on draft capital and production; he expresses concern about trading Laporta away in a non-premium tight end league format, noting that while Laporta has been great, the trade (Laporta Hubbard and a third for a 2025 first) undervalues his elite tight end status and that elite tight ends like Laporta should not be treated as expendable confetti.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeRole21:31

Matt Kelley traded away Saquon Barkley as an aging asset in a sell-off strategy, bundling him with Mike Evans and Romeo Doubs to acquire 2027 draft capital; Kelley views Barkley as non-essential to his dynasty rebuild despite his talent.

Insight page
NegativeValue23:34

Matt Kelley describes Saquon Barkley as 'broken' and a dynasty sell candidate despite his current production. He successfully traded Barkley (age 30) for a 2027 first and second, but notes this deal is rare—most leagues won't accept aging players in return for early picks. Kelley warns that holding Barkley on a rebuilding roster without moving him creates a 'real price': his value deteriorates rapidly, and he becomes immovable. The lesson: if you can't get a 2027 first, take a 2028 first rather than let the asset expire worthless on your roster.

Insight page
NegativeRole46:35

Matt Kelley traded away Saquon Barkley as part of his dynasty rebuild, viewing him as an older asset that needed to be moved to avoid being stuck with declining players on a middling team.

Insight page

Savion Williams

NegativeDepth Chart17:30

Savion Williams is part of the Packers wide receiver depth chart behind Matthew Golden but is currently injured.

Insight page

Skyy Moore

NegativeDepth Chart17:30

Sky Moore is the player behind Matthew Golden in the Packers depth chart, though he is currently injured, leaving Golden with no depth chart competition.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeValue60:50

Matt Kelley received a trade offer involving Terry McLaurin, Braylon Allen, Will Shipley, and Keon Coleman in exchange for Rashid Jhaid, Torrey Horton, Jalen Knoll, Adam Randall, Eli Heidenreich, and a 2027 first-round pick (projected to be the 1.12 from the best team in the league). On paper the deal felt like a smash due to the early first-rounder, but Kelley rejected it because the first was only a 5-6 slot trade-up from his early 2027 second, making the package insufficient given the quality of assets he'd be surrendering.

Insight page
PositiveValue61:13

Matt Kelley argues Terry McLaurin should not be traded in dynasty, contrasting him with declining players like DJ Moore and Chris Godwin. McLaurin has remained largely healthy and efficient throughout his twenties with no signs of slowing down, making him a hold. Kelley invokes the "Terry McLaurin corollary"—the principle that players who have been healthy and efficient in their twenties can play well into their thirties—as justification for holding McLaurin long-term.

Insight page

Tre Harris

NegativeInjury43:56

Trey Harris suffered a hamstring injury and is out for week six, continuing the Chargers' pattern of injuries and dysfunction that prevents the team from building momentum.

Insight page
NegativeInjury44:08

Harris suffered a hamstring injury and is out for week six, ending what had been an opportunity window with the Chargers.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

NegativeProjection41:59

Trevor Lawrence is not being asked to win a lot of games; the Saints are winning with their defense and running game (Alvin Kamara/Tony Jones), not through Lawrence's passing. He's being managed like Tom Brady with Troy Brown—game manager role. This means his fantasy output will lag behind other elite quarterback situations like Jordan Love and Derek Carr, and league mates will realize by week 12-13 that Lawrence is not the fantasy driver this year.

Insight page
NegativeProjection47:21

Trevor Lawrence is not a mobile quarterback and won't win fantasy championships based on his mobility, limiting his ceiling in fantasy football.

Insight page
NegativeProjection47:24

Matt Kelley argues Trevor Lawrence cannot win fantasy championships due to limited mobility compared to Konami QBs; he's similar to Bo Nix or Justin Herbert in rushing upside (200-300 yards, ~5 rushing TDs annually). The Jaguars' elite defense and strong offensive line create a structural problem: the team is built to run the ball and play defense, not pass for fantasy points. Lawrence will face many games where Jacksonville leads 20-3, limiting his passing volume and ceiling. Kelley notes Lawrence ranks highly in crowdsourced dynasty services due to first-round pick bias, but weekly he struggles to meet those expectations because the team is not designed to score fantasy points.

Tucker Kraft

PositiveProjection19:12

Tucker Kraft was predicted to produce in the Packers passing game as part of the narrow target tree alongside Christian Watson, Jaden Reed, and Matthew Golden. Matt Kelley notes the signal was strong for Kraft and Watson entering the season.

Tyler Huntley

NegativeValue0:00

Tyler Huntley was offered to Matt Kelley (for a fourth-round pick) in a spam trade proposal that was rejected. Kelley notes his team already has three strong quarterbacks including Fernando Mendoza, making Huntley an unnecessary acquisition. The offer exemplifies low-quality spam trades Kelley receives regularly.

NegativeRole41:38

Tyler Huntley is mentioned as a potential acquisition target in a dynasty trade scenario where the speaker is building for the future and offsetting Trevor Lawrence with multiple quarterback options including Daniel Jones and Baker Mayfield.

Will Shipley

NegativeValue60:50

Will Shipley was included in a trade package Matt Kelley rejected; Kelley was willing to move Shipley as part of a deal but only if the compensation was sufficient. The trade offer included Shipley alongside Terry McLaurin, Braylon Allen, and Keon Coleman for a 2027 first-round pick (only 5-6 slots ahead of Kelley's early second), which Kelley deemed inadequate.

0:00The Trade Gods He is here behind the scenes with us He has, Justin has a bag of trades, right?
0:06That's what you're trying to get. You're trying to get the bag.
0:10Isn't that what the kids say? You're trying to get the bag, get a bag when you do a great trade like
0:16you get the one on one, the 2027 one on one.
0:20That's a bag. I would consider that a bag.
0:22He has a bag of trades. There's something like 12 to 15 trades in there.
0:27He's going to throw these trades up on the screen and we're going to break them down.
0:32Half and half. Some of these trades you did, some of these trades I did, and actually we have a few that didn't actually happen.
0:40They were trades that we rejected and I'm going to complain about some of those trades because I don't appreciate some of
0:46the offers that I'm getting that have absolutely no chance of ever being accepted and I'm offended and I want to express my offense on the show today.
0:55It's part of the reason this show exists so I can yell at people for sending me sham offers.
1:01So now without further ado, Justin put up on the screen trade number one.
1:05Oh God. Why? Justin, this is what he's starting with?
1:08What? What is this? Okay. Of all the trades in the basket, right?
1:12That he could reach it and pull out. He pulled out.
1:15He he he. This was not, if I had to pick a trade that we should work up to, that we should
1:22maybe just mix in at some point because we want to start shows strong.
1:26We always talk about this at the player profiler podcast network.
1:29You want to start shows strong and end shows strong, right?
1:33Coach. Isn't that the mantra? Start and end very strong in the middle.
1:37You can kind of do what you want. Start and end strong.
1:40And so to start and end strong, we're seeing a trade where I received Tyler Huntley and I give up a fourth rounder.
1:47This was a trade offer. I received from someone named dynasty Zach, right?
1:51And by the way, it says hide usernames for screenshots.
1:54Is anyone on your, why does that exist? My username is Podfather 5,000 on sleeper.
1:59Just like my username on Twitter X is fantasy underscore mansion.
2:02Why does anyone try to hide people's usernames? Is that, is that a thing that's supposed to be kept secret?
2:08Cause I'm not doing it. You want to be in a league with me.
2:13You're in a league with me. Your, your username, Mike, get talked about on a podcast.
2:17You have to deal with it. What, what, why though?
2:20But what is that? Why would that even exist?
2:23Why would anyone care? Name and shame, name and shame, baby.
2:26Put it up there. So this trade, okay. This is a trade that I took offense to.
2:32I wanted to start with just trades that we did that we enjoyed or trades that, you know, we could break down both sides and explain the strategy.
2:40There's no strategy to discuss here. This is just a sham offer.
2:44I get these offers because I'm in so many leagues.
2:47I get a lot of these offers every week.
2:50And so basically part of my day is spent just rejecting the sham trades where clearly the person who is offering the
2:56trade is either not thinking or is actively spamming.
2:59It's one or the other. It's either you're not thinking at all because my team, that team has like three very strong quarterbacks.
3:06Like why would I trade for Tyler Huntley? My team is not in contention and I have three strong quarterbacks, including Fernando Mendoza.
3:13The last player that my team needs in that particular league is Tyler effing Huntley.
3:17So why would you offer it? It's obvious to anyone with a brain that I don't need Tyler Huntley.
3:23And I'm sure this person has a brain. And therefore my only next conclusion is this must be spam.
3:29This is a spam sham offer. That's the only explanation.
3:32If you at least give credit to your league mates that they're not idiots.
3:36Okay. Then the next, you're, you're forced, right? You're forced to come to the conclusion that this was spam and they just
3:43signed up for some software where you can send 11 offers to 11 teams trolling for a fourth rounder.
3:49And I don't agree with that. I don't agree with doing that.
3:52I think that that should be banned. I think if sleeper is going to do something, they should absolutely ban that shit.
3:59I can't even believe it's allowed that you could do that, but it's the only explanation.
4:04That is the best way that you could excuse this behavior is to say, this person just programmatically hit a button that
4:10says, try to get a fourth rounder for Tyler Huntley across all my leagues and let AI do it.
4:16Like, this is like an AI bot offer. And I personally, and this could be the boomer in me.
4:22I personally would never do this shit. I would never do it because I know it's a waste of time and I
4:29respect my league mates too much to make them waste time rejecting all of these deals.
4:34But some people are fine with it. Some people are like, listen, man, I'm going to spam the entire league.
4:40Kick me out if you want, but I'm going to do it because I know for every five spam offers I send
4:46out, there's one person like one in 55 that's going to hit yes.
4:50And I'm going to get a free fourth rounder out of it.
4:54And, you know, by the end of the year, I might have two or three free fourth rounders and I'm grinding so hard at dynasty.
5:01Maybe you're not trying as hard as I am because I'm signing up for this, this expensive software that's, you know, hijacking sleepers servers.
5:09And we're going to, we're going to spam our league mates and they just have to eat it.
5:14This is what makes the data centers run hot and make our climate, our whole globe just warm.
5:20This is a problem. It's problematic. I didn't see you go into global warming on this, but I'm here for it.
5:26Yes. The only, yeah, that fourth round dynasty pick, the world is going to shit, but you're going to get it one in 55 chance.
5:34But I know the culprits. It's those damn kids on those e-bikes who are taking the road.
5:39They're the ones, they're the culprits. They're the new generation.
5:42They're trying to run you off the road with your bicycle out there.
5:46It's terrible and it needs to stop. I think that's what it is.
5:50I'm not, I'm really not passing judgment. My only remark here is that I don't do this.
5:55This is against my ethos in dynasties. A couple of things that I don't do.
5:59I don't send spam offers. You're in a league with me.
6:03You're not going to get any spam offers. You're not going to get any bots running my team.
6:08Okay. That I can promise you you're going to leave with me.
6:12All right. Number one, number two, I'm going to try my hardest to win with the team I have.
6:18So if for whatever reason you were in a league with me and I start a guy in a bye week, or
6:24I started a guy that's injured, or I don't put in a guy that clearly is about to produce this week, that is a mistake.
6:32That is an oversight and absolutely text me, email me, contact me in whatever way you can.
6:37Let me know that on Sunday morning and I will get it fixed.
6:41I will get my lineup ship shape. I take a lot of pride in making sure that guy is out and I'm, I'm a shallow bench.
6:49I got nobody. I'm taking over an orphan team and it's just been hollowed out.
6:53And I have to put in George Helani for those five fantasy points.
6:57I'm going to do that, right? I'm embarrassed. I'm embarrassed to tell you how much George Helani I've started this year.
7:04And a lot of these are teams that are in the bottom three.
7:08And there are a number of leagues that I'm in where I am in second to last or third to last place
7:14because of this, because I know there are teams out there that you look at their lineup and you're like, wait a second.
7:21Why is that player on the bench? That doesn't make any sense.
7:25You should, that player needs to be in your, wait, what, what, how, how are you not starting Michael Wilson this week?
7:32Right. You can't, what? A bad matchup. Yeah. What are you doing?
7:35Right. You're not starting Michael Wilson against the lions, right?
7:38They just traded Marvin Harrison Jr. You're going to keep Michael Wilson on the bench, but you're going to, you're going to
7:45keep name immediately, you know, Stefan digs in the lineup and he's out.
7:49Like, I don't like that. I don't like that at all.
7:52There's nothing you can do about it. Really? I mean, to get to that level of policing, the only way that you
7:59can prevent it is I know that there is a setting that some of these leagues have, which I really like, which
8:06prevents this, which basically says that even though it's a managed league, we treat the draft order as if it was best ball.
8:12Yeah. That's called a max points for setting, which I'm in a couple of those leagues and basically essentially whatever's on your roster is best ball points applied.
8:21Yes. Excellent. And I think that's a great setting.
8:24It's a great setting. It lies where it lies.
8:26That's the only way to do it. Otherwise, if you try to intervene and manually change lineups or, you know, call out players for the sandbagging behavior.
8:35No, no, no. This max points draft order setup, basically best balling.
8:38The draft order is how I like to think about it.
8:42That's the easiest way to think about it. If you just best ball the draft order, it eliminates a lot of this nonsense.
8:49A lot of this gamesmanship is just gone because I just, I can't stomach it.
8:53I know that in leagues that aren't using that setting, I could absolutely gain the system to make sure that I lock in Jeremiah Smith.
9:01I'm just not wired that way. I'm not wired that way.
9:04And in future, future years, 2027, 2028, 2029, me being wired the way I am is going to help me because I'm
9:11going to be so ultra competitive that I'm going to grind out victories when I'm in win now mode that I was
9:17only able to sharpen that steel to get to this point because I'm wired this way.
9:22I'm not wired this other way. I don't think you can just turn it on.
9:27I think you can say, I'm going to participate in this sandbagging behavior, but then one day I'm going to decide to flip the switch.
9:34We're like athletes, big time dynasty leaguers like us.
9:37We're in 20 plus leagues. We're like professional athletes.
9:40Everybody, you know, it you're in, you're in, you're in 20 plus dynasty leagues.
9:44You know, you feel, you feel like a professional athlete.
9:47You're grinding so hard at this. I get it.
9:50I'm with you. And just like a provider, you don't want to be Marvin Harrison, Jr.
9:55You want to be Michael Wilson. I'm Michael Wilson.
9:57I'm wired like Michael Wilson. I'm not Marvin Harrison when it comes to running dynasty teams.
10:02I had a coach once tell me you got to want it when it's not there.
10:07So when it's there, you'll be ready for it.
10:10So you, Matt Kelly, you podfather are applying that principle right now.
10:14So when the time comes, you will be ready.
10:16My friend. Say that again. I want that one more time.
10:20I want that on wax. That was life advice of the highest order.
10:24You got to want it when it's not there.
10:26So when it's there, you'll be ready for it.
10:29Always grind. So thankfully just to update everybody, none of my other league mates, the 10 league mates, including me, that's 11 total.
10:36None of us accepted that deal. So Tyler Huntley is going to continue to rot away on whatever team he's on dynasty.
10:43Zach or whatever. Didn't get, he didn't, didn't fool us this time, but he, I have a feeling there's going to be more of these trades to come.
10:51We'll see. We'll see. Maybe listen to the show and there's a, some kind of setting in the AI, some kind of
10:58prompt where you can say, send these offers, but not ever to the podfather ever again.
11:03I'm hoping if, if we accomplish nothing other than getting like a, an exception AI prompt to, to leave me alone, leave me out of this.
11:11Yeah. Then we've won. All right. What's next, Justin?
11:13Oh boy. Another one. Justin, like he's, I don't know.
11:16This doesn't seem randomized to me. This really, Justin, this does not seem randomized to me.
11:21This is the second trade that he has put on the board that did not happen that I have a, an emotional
11:28reaction to this was a deal where I was proposed to receive Jordan Addison in a 20, 27 second for Christian Watson.
11:34Hey, maybe next year you can get this deal Addison in a second last year.
11:39Yesterday's price is not today's price. Let's talk about Christian Watson, the wide receiver three overall.
11:44You want to send this AI slot bullshit from Jordan Addison.
11:47And let's talk about two podfather, how good it feels to be right about Christian Watson.
11:52Feel it in my heart, my soul, in my penis.
11:55It feels fucking amazing. It feels so fucking good.
11:58It feels so fucking good. Can I just remind everybody about our tactics in startups from round like eight to 12?
12:04If we can remind everybody what we were up to, what our strategy was, this is, this is verbatim.
12:10This is verbatim. This was our approach was first two targets.
12:13We wanted after the first wave of, of, of wide receivers go off the board.
12:18Okay. We were drafting tight ends. We were getting our running back.
12:21We're drafting Scadaboo member Scadaboo was a popular running back.
12:25And then we were trying to, you know, see if we could see if we could get a Tyler shock was a
12:31popular quarterback that we were drafting in these startups this summer.
12:35And then, and I have some of these teams, by the way, I have some of these teams.
12:40And then we, we said that there's a, there's a real sweet spot for wide receivers that can help your fantasy team now and in the future.
12:48And it's about, it lasts for about four rounds, four or five rounds.
12:52And the band, the, the, the, the, the band, the range of players was, it started with Christian Watson.
12:58And if you remember it ended with Jalen Coker, like it was Christian Watson and Jalen Coker.
13:03The only wide receiver in that range that has not hit this year for us was Jaden Reed.
13:08We wanted access to the Packers passing game. That's what, that was something we were desperate for.
13:14It was Christian Watson after Christian Watson. This is, you can check the tape.
13:18It was Parker Washington. We were targeting, and I have these Watson Washington teams that are in first place.
13:24And I'm thinking back to the streams we did you and me, like this is something we're doing.
13:29And then it, and then we, I remember trying to get Reed and then not getting Reed, getting sniped on Reed and then ending up with Coker.
13:37So there are teams where I have Watson and Washington and Michael Wilson was in there as well.
13:43And Michael Wilson went before Coker. So Michael Wilson was the other one that we were targeting.
13:48And these were all just podfather specials. These are non first round picks players that were just the community, the public slow
13:55to get behind these players, mostly because they weren't first rounders.
13:58That's most of the reason like third rounder, Michael Wilson, sixth rounder, Parker Washington, second rounder, Christian Watson.
14:03Like the theme was none of these guys were first round picks, but they were acting as if their underlying metrics looked
14:10like first round picks and they were in their prime.
14:13They were from age 24 to age 27. This swath of players in sort of the early middle rounds of dynasty startups.
14:20We hammered wide receiver. There were startups where we went four straight wide receivers, just ding, ding, ding, ding.
14:26Cause we were like, well, you can get an alpha receiver in his prime three rounds after the equivalent guy goes.
14:32And then there were also some older receivers that we were, that we were soaking up.
14:37Number one being Devante Adams. Ooh. Yeah. Remember that.
14:39Remember that it was, it was a tier by itself because this was a very specific group of wide receivers in startups.
14:46Again, age 24 to age 27, non first round picks that were underrated.
14:50So we blew through that cohort. And then sometimes Devante Adams would still be on the board because he's 33 years old.
14:57And then there was that one team where we, we stacked Stafford with Devante Adams.
15:01And that was a fun, that was a, that was a pretty fun.
15:05That was a, we, we just, we had some fun this summer.
15:09We had fun. Hey, it's like Vince McMahon where he's like, Oh man, it was, it was special, but we talked all
15:16off season about Christian Watson was the firewall wide receiver too, that you could build on your team.
15:21You could jam in any kind of running backs, quarterback bills, Tyler Shuck in those rounds four and five range.
15:27Dak Prescott was another one that you could get.
15:30So you could scaffold your entire team, get Christian Watson, but look, the signal was all there.
15:35No Don Tavia Wicks. You have Romeo Dubs, who's out of town, narrow target tree between Reed, Golden, Watson, and Tucker Kraft.
15:42We really predicted Kraft and Christian Watson. And then we got even more signal as we got closer to the season with
15:48the Josh Jacobs suspension, or just being out on the commissioner's exempt list, being out.
15:53And then it's just, it's right there for us.
15:56Christian Watson is just absolutely eating. You had the contract.
15:59That was another compounding factor. So there was just all steamroll momentum for us.
16:03The entirety of the off season, we were there.
16:06We were, we had it. We were on it.
16:08We had people call us out pod father. We had fantasy receipts hit us up on Matthew Golden that we missed on him.
16:15Well, guess what? Any dickhead can be in on every single player that's out there.
16:20Every now and then you miss one. Wait, what happened?
16:23They, they got out. They, they put it, they put a graph.
16:27It's from this show. They got, they got us on, they receded us on Matthew Golden.
16:31But all I have to say is what about Matthew Golden?
16:35What happened? I guess there was some bearish content that we put out on him.
16:39Is he a thousand yard receiver? Whoa, that's a little early.
16:43It's a little early on Matthew Golden. I think Matthew Golden has run as pure as can be.
16:48The green Bay Packers have the worst running game in the league.
16:52They are number 32 in run blocking and Jaden Reed got hurt.
16:55So I would be very careful victory lapping on Matthew Golden.
16:59Matthew Golden's a 23 year old first round pick.
17:01Of course, this first round picks. If they have a couple of good games, of course, running the best case scenario, why
17:08first round pick, but I would be very careful with Matthew Golden.
17:12Matthew Golden was not productive in college. Matthew Golden in advanced models, like the breakout finder does not score well.
17:18He is absolutely in the best possible situation to score wide receiver fantasy points right now, especially given the injury to Jaden Reed.
17:25But I would not be running out and celebrating a Matthew Golden breakout until we actually see it.
17:30It's still very early. What do we have? Five games in the books?
17:34And he is a wide receiver two in fantasy.
17:37Okay. His catch rate is like 50%. So he hasn't even been that efficient.
17:41There's a lot of unrealized air yards there. Now maybe he can realize those air yards and he can become a wide
17:48receiver one, but this is an inefficient volume dependent wide receiver that has no one behind him.
17:53I mean, the player behind him in the depth chart is Sky Moore.
17:57He's hurt. Savion Williams, he's hurt. Jaden Reed was already hurt weeks ago.
18:01Bo Melton converted to cornerback, and now he's playing wide receiver.
18:04So this is the target competition that you're going to wave around as a big win.
18:09Maybe wait until he has, I don't know. How about, let's say 500 receiving yards?
18:14How about 500 receiving yards? Or why doesn't he first match what he did last year, right?
18:19At least get to like 29 catches. He's not even at 29 catches yet.
18:23What are we even talking about? So fantasy receipts is going this early on a guy like Matthew Golden.
18:29That's dangerous. Old fantasy receipts would not have done that.
18:32Old fantasy receipts was definitely smarter and would not have potentially been caught out doing this because then the problem is if
18:38you're a receipt company and you try to be first by laying down the receipt, sometimes that receipt can get torn up.
18:45Sometimes that receipt's wrong. Sometimes the receipt can get all wet.
18:48You know how you put the receipt on the bar and it gets all wet with beer on it and you can't see it anymore.
18:56And suddenly the receipts null and void that could happen.
18:59This receipt might go straight in the trash can fantasy receipts, and then you can receipt the receipts.
19:05So we need to save that. Please. I did not know this existed.
19:08That fantasy receipts was going a little early and coming at us a little bit early, like a little, little, little early.
19:15Please bookmark that. And we got to come back to that.
19:18If someone told me that they traded Matthew Golden for 20, 27 first, I'd be like good trade.
19:24Absolutely. He is easily a sell high. This is, I mean, he's the perfect sell high candidate.
19:29He's got the first round capital. He's only 23 years old.
19:32You could absolutely weave a narrative to your league mate that he's worth now a first round pick.
19:38He's golden. Yeah, he's golden. Exactly. It's golden hour.
19:41Got to get him. Got to get him now.
19:43First round pick. Right. And then you could actually get a real first rounder, a player that deserves to be drafted in the first round.
19:51Matthew Golden absolutely did not do enough at Texas to deserve a first round pick that that pick was like wired because
19:58the draft was in green Bay and they wanted golden and they invited him there and he wore the coolest suit ever.
20:04And it was a great moment. And I cried and I loved it.
20:08It was awesome. It was great television, but that doesn't mean he's going to be a great receiver.
20:14Get out of here with that. Wow. I'm actually very pleased about this, that they jumped the gun so early over at
20:20fantasy receipts, because this might be the rare opportunity to receipt the receipt.
20:24Yeah. Think about a Texas teammate, Cam Coleman. Would you prefer him with his resume already?
20:29Of course. Of course. For that 27 one. Of course.
20:32And by the way, back to this trade. I mean, because are we ever going to get through 10 plus trades and we're never going to do it.
20:41I mean, fantasy receipts is, is try to take us down with a small sample.
20:45Matthew Golden. Oops. Uh, okay. So someone tried to trade me Jordan Addison at a 20, 27 second for Christian Watson.
20:52That is such an absurd offer that again, I was offended.
20:55I am getting offended. I am not emotionally detached.
20:58I am not super clinical. I do swing with emotions and I do get pissed off when my time is wasted having
21:04to reject these kinds of sham offers in what world like this.
21:08The person who offered this did not think it would ever be accepted.
21:12Then what are you doing? You're wasting both of our time sham.
21:16What's next? What's next, Justin? Oh, beautiful. So this is part of a team that I'm in active cell mode.
21:22I'm stripping the house of the non-essential copper, but I'm keeping the good copper pieces.
21:26I sent away, this is a couple of weeks ago before the cliff though, too.
21:31Uh, Mike Evans. Sure. He's doing great. Barkley got hurt.
21:34Evans Barkley. They said, throw in Romeo doves. Sure.
21:36Fine. All well, good. 27 first, 27 second. I've accumulated, uh, three 27 first, which includes mine for 27 seconds.
21:43I have two 28 ones to 28 twos. And look, I look at aging assets.
21:47Evans Barkley, weren't going to serve my team. I've kept the younger assets in 1.75 tight end premium, rock Bowers cornerstone asset, Michael mayor.
21:54I've got Jonah Coleman, Marion Hampton, Chris Bell, Jordan Tyson.
21:57So I have very good parts. Still. I'm just selling off the aging assets, which there's a difference between you sell everybody
22:04and you tank and you put in just some slapdick player who isn't even active to get the one-on-one because remember podfather, you're too competitive.
22:12You're going to be in that second and third place spot because of those people.
22:16But this is a different way to attack and be aggressive in dynasty divergent.
22:20It allows the people who want to go in, allows the people who want to go out and build for the future to get stronger.
22:28So both teams get stronger. The team that wants to win now got stronger.
22:32And I fortified my position as soon as 2027.
22:35Gary Gouy sheets, Gouy sheets. I love that we're calling people out by their sleeper username.
22:40If you don't like it, you could email me podfather at roto wonderworld.com and explain why it's a big deal, why you hate it.
22:47I don't care. I don't care. I'm out there in the open with all my teams and all my roster ship and all my trades.
22:55And if you want to hide, hide, but you can explain yourself.
22:58You could DM me on Twitter X at fantasy underscore mansion and explain why you want your username hidden.
23:04But for now, uh, we're out here playing in the, in the arena of dynasty.
23:09And so show your face. Do you want to go out here and play and face off against me?
23:14Show your face to the world. These are trades that we're all accountable for any trade.
23:19I do. You can post it anywhere. Let fantasy receipts run with it.
23:23Sometimes too early. They blow go a little really blew it.
23:27Just really, really. If it just waited a few weeks, it would have had so much more residents, but it's like, Hey man, settle down.
23:34Like Jesus, their pass rate is, is unsustainable for the long run.
23:38Like what are you, this is, this is, this is a sell high situation.
23:42What the hell are you doing? I want to commend you for being able to do this trade in theory.
23:48Sure. You can trade Mike Evans and you can trade Saquon Barkley and players for a 20, 27 first and a 20, 27 second.
23:55A lot of people are not going to go for that.
23:59They're going to see how old Mike Evans is and how broken Saquon Barkley is, and they're not going to do it.
24:05I have Saquon Barkley in a league where I'm not going to compete.
24:09And I waited too long. The Turkey got overcooked and now he's worthless, but that's the thing, man.
24:15That's the thing. Players like Mike Evans, players like Saquon Barkley, they're a concerning injury away from essentially being useless.
24:21They, they say it's dust. The kids say that these players have turned to dust because that's what happens.
24:27Their dynasty value turns to dust. So you got that trade just under the wire.
24:31I mean, chef's kiss on the timing and even being able to pull it off.
24:36I just want people to know that trade only happens in like half the leagues.
24:40I'm in half the leagues. They won't even entertain a deal like that.
24:4420, 27 are off the board. And if you're going to try to give me 30 year old players, they're going to tell you to pound sand.
24:52Yeah. I went to about quarter of the league, third of the league, and I got one rock to turn over that sales, baby.
25:00You just get, you need one. Just know in a lot of leagues, you'll get zero and you have to adjust and you have to adjust.
25:08And if, and if you're, if you're rebuilding, if you're rebuilding, you have to do it.
25:12Like my point is if you let the leak expire this season, the season's over and you have Saquon Barkley in your
25:19team, you've lost like you, if they wouldn't give you a 20, 27 first, and you had to settle for a 20,
25:2628 first or something, you need to do it.
25:28Otherwise you're, you're like me sitting here with a Barkley.
25:31I can't move at all. That's the price of not doing a deal.
25:35There was a real price to letting these older assets just wither away on your rebuilding roster.
25:41You need to scour the league and take what you can get.
25:44It's just that in this particular case, what you got was peak value.
25:48Yeah. It's like a Neil McCauley and heat where he's like, you gotta leave when you suspect the heat 30 seconds flat, you gotta run.
25:56That's what we did. Beautiful trade. What's next, Justin?
25:58Oh, okay. Sexual. See what's happening here. Talk to me.
26:02Stripping the assets, stripping the assets, selling the non-essential copper.
26:05George Kittle on the older side, still a great asset.
26:08DJ less. I want DJ less on my teams and dynasty.
26:11He's DJ more in redraft. So if you want him on a winning team, sure.
26:15You're on the good side of four and one.
26:18Yes. But for me, give me Jonah Coleman and I got the two twos.
26:22I crafted this deal. I feel like it's even, it's good parts for the person who's trying to win.
26:28It's great parts for me for just stacking my picks.
26:31And to me, Jonah Coleman is going to end up being a league winner, especially if you look at how RJ Harvey's
26:38being used and how inefficient and just JK Dobbins, it's over, man.
26:42It's about to be over for him. I cannot wait next week until Jonah Coleman comes back.
26:47Dust to dust. Yeah. People forget about Jonah Coleman.
26:49Easy to forget about Nicholas Singleton. There are running backs that are waiting in the wings that are bigger, better, faster, more
26:56explosive versions of the players that they are currently backing up.
26:59Jonah Coleman, you could argue they might, they might decide just to put him in, in, in upgrade on JK Dobbins.
27:06We're seeing this around the league where there are teams that are just there.
27:10Think about the Texans. They pay all this money to David Montgomery.
27:14And a couple of weeks go by, they're pulling them off the field.
27:18Like I've been surprised about how quickly some of these backfields have become meritocracies, pleasantly surprised.
27:22And Sean Payton, I mean, talk about, I want some metrics on Sean Payton, his yell rate, his holler rate on the
27:29sidelines, the, the angry rate of these coaches in Denver.
27:32I've never seen a higher rate of anger with players and each other, how much yelling between the coaches there was on the sideline.
27:39This is the perfect environment for them to say, just Vaudevillian cane, these guys out of here, these veterans out here, put
27:46the rookie in, get somebody else in there. I got to see a new face.
27:51I got to see something. I got to see something different.
27:54Bo Nix is safe for now, for now. Bo Nix is safe.
27:58Bo Nix also not a player I have. I looked, I don't have any, I don't have any Bo Nix.
28:04I only have a couple players that I can say I don't have any of strangely.
28:09And it's not like I had an agenda to go fade Bo Nix.
28:13We never talked about Bo Nix in all the startups we did.
28:16We've never talked about Bo Nix. None of the orphans I took over happened to have Bo Nix.
28:22It's just a, he's just a, a placeholder quarterback.
28:24He runs enough. He throws well enough. He just does the bare minimum.
28:28And I'm like, why do I want the bare minimum?
28:31I can get the bare minimum from Geno Smith at a lot less, less cost.
28:36At least if we, at least if you went a little bit harder, a little riskier, like we did, I think what
28:43would happen was we were either trying to get super premium quarterbacks early or wait, like Caleb Williams.
28:48I have Caleb Williams in a bunch of these leagues.
28:51It was basically Cody and I competing for who was going to draft Caleb Williams.
28:56I think one startup I was in with Cody, he took Caleb Williams at the 102 and super flex.
29:01I was like, it's aggressive, Cody. Let's be honest.
29:04He's like, I don't want you to get him.
29:07I was like, well, okay. So we were either going in that direction and then we were waiting and then trying to,
29:13trying to catch a Dak Prescott, trying to catch a round discount on Patrick Mahomes.
29:18So we got a round discount on Patrick Mahomes.
29:21Got Patrick Mahomes in the fourth round, a bunch got a round discount on Prescott, a bunch.
29:26And then the other quarterback we're trying to get after Prescott was shock.
29:30It was, that was the group that was that those were the targets.
29:34And so for whatever reason, it is so strange.
29:37If there was a player that is quite valuable, especially in super flex, I think we could all Bo Nix has value.
29:43If you're in a super flex league, Bo Nix is a valuable piece.
29:47I never think about him. Like he, if, if you just looked at super flex assets, Bo Nix is the player I think about the least.
29:55And that can't be a good thing. He's quarterback 20, right?
29:58Or 21. And he's behind, you just mentioned the bare minimum.
30:02Geno Smith is quarterback 20. So you couldn't have teed that up any better.
30:06It's the only player that's really dropped for us significantly because our quarterback rankings in dynasty on player profiler are much stickier
30:13because things change with systems and situations and game scripts and all these things.
30:17So overreacting to four weeks of data is a path to hell, especially at the quarterback position in dynasty.
30:23Like what are you going to do? You're going to go trade Patrick Mahomes for Bryce young.
30:28You're going to do that. Well, you got to keep trade cut.
30:31But I mean, no one's actually doing that. You know, it's just, no, you're not doing that shit, but you know, you
30:38see these, these quarterbacks, they fly up and down the board on keep trade cut a crowdsourced ranking system.
30:44It just doesn't make sense to me. Whereas that's by far and away the stickiest position for us.
30:49However, there's such a headwind now with the pass rate and the play volume in Denver and the lack of efficiency and
30:56just the meh factor for Bo Nix that he's just been dropping.
31:00Like he's just been every week. It's just been a steady drumbeat down the board for Bo Nix.
31:05And if you have him, what do you do with Bo Nix?
31:09Can you trade him? I wouldn't even think about putting him on the block.
31:13I maybe, maybe you could sell low. If someone's thinks they can get 2025 Bo Nix at a discount of the 11
31:20league mates, maybe one of those guys will be your partner for a trade.
31:24But again, I think that's 50, 50. I think it's probably one out of 25 league mates, something like that would give
31:31you anything close to 2025 value on Bo Nix.
31:33He looks bad to follow up to this. This is perfect.
31:37Teeing up for this debate. Bo Nix, Justin Herbert, who do you buy low on and why?
31:42Well, who has the, who has the better resume?
31:44Statistically, Justin Herbert has several 20 plus fantasy points per game seasons.
31:48He's also had in that run where he had early in his career.
31:52He did have one down season. And even if you look at Tom Brady, look at the most consistent quarterbacks of all time.
31:59They do oscillate pretty wildly. Brady has been like the QB 24 and Brady has been the QB one in a season.
32:06Why? Well, his entire offensive line got hurt and his number one receiver was Troy Brown.
32:11And in that season, Tom Brady was not what you would call a fantasy asset.
32:15Okay. Well, Justin Herbert's offensive line has been hurt.
32:18Now, again, I've heard that this is partly due to the electric substation that is also next to the chargers practice facility.
32:25There's a, they were there, there's a second practice facility apparently that is directly next to an electric, an electric substation.
32:31And it just so happens that the chargers and the 49ers are by far and away the two most injured teams.
32:37And they're the two teams that are in closest proximity to an electric substation.
32:42So that is happening. But anyway, you look up all it's hurt Slater's hurt and their starting receivers are hurt.
32:48And they had one guy that could meet the bare minimum requirements of an X receiver and Trey Harris.
32:53And then he got hurt in the early third quarter.
32:56So it's doom and gloom. It doesn't get any worse in terms of the situation for Justin Herbert.
33:02Last time I checked, Bo Nix has healthy quarter has healthy receivers.
33:05Last time I checked this, this is just a dysfunctional offense.
33:09You can blame on the coaches, but you can also blame the coaches for what's happening in Los Angeles too.
33:15So basically I think it's easily Herbert because Herbert has a more impressive resume is a better thrower of footballs is a
33:22better athlete just in and of himself, just first principles.
33:25But then also his situation has become so much worse in terms of just 2026 temporary, temporary insanity of an offense.
33:31Like if the offense has to declare temporary insanity, temporary dysfunctionalness, whatever it is.
33:35So he's suffering from the highest degree of temporary dysfunctionalness, much more than Bo Nix right now.
33:40I know it looks dysfunctional when you watch the broadcast because Sean Payton's yelling at everybody, but at least they're healthy.
33:47It's an absolute revelation that you came out and told us that there's an electric substation affecting of all teams, the chargers.
33:53So that's just incredible. Actually one little note, people don't realize there are plenty of cheesesteak stations in the area of Philadelphia
34:00that are hurting the Philadelphia Eagles skill position players.
34:03Uh-oh. Stigmon Barkley, Devonta Smith. So not enough is being made of the cheesesteak stations affecting the Philadelphia Eagles.
34:09So you got all these excuses for all these teams for why they're getting hurt and whatnot.
34:14Over to somebody like Jalen Hurts. Is it sell high time on him?
34:18And would you tear down to a Herbert and add some pluses like maybe a 27 one plus like pick side?
34:24I got bad news. I got some bad news.
34:27As of this week, this is the first time in years, years, Eagles fans.
34:31Jalen Hurts is no longer a top five dynasty quarterback.
34:34Oh, sadly, this, this happened. This was, and again, he lost AJ Brown through no fault of his own.
34:40He has lost Devonta Smith recently. He's lost Dallas Goddard recently.
34:43This is one of the more under discussed elements, input factors in a player's lifetime value rating is their supporting cast.
34:49And it's just not talked about enough. Like his number one receiver is Dontavian Wicks.
34:54What can you imagine Jordan Love? We've seen Jordan Love operating with Dontavian Wicks and Matthew Golden, and it looked really bad.
35:01It was not good football. It was not fun to watch.
35:04Hurts is, is dealing with a bad offensive line.
35:07The offensive line is as bad as it's ever been there, which is why Saquon Barkley has no yards blocked like per touch might have negative.
35:15I don't know if Saquon Barkley going to finish the year as the first running back with negative yards blocked per touch.
35:21It's getting that bad with their offensive line. So, I mean, he's not down there with Herbert.
35:26He's certainly in it. He's currently still, I would say two tiers above Herbert still.
35:31So we are not going to be fading Jalen Hurts into oblivion.
35:35That's not going to happen. We have these guys for their careers.
35:38This is dynasty, and this is one season, but if you had to pick two guys that yes, I would consider by
35:45lows right now in dynasty, Hurts and Herbert would be top of the list.
35:49Okay. A note on Hurts, the next few weeks schedule is beautiful.
35:53And if you want to sell and get out of the Hurts business, I would suggest waiting until they first face this week.
36:00Yeah. The Panthers, ready? Cowboys, Commanders, then the Giants.
36:03So the next month is going to be incredible despite the Chief Steak Station diverting their plans.
36:08You cannot sell low on Herbert. That's not the time to sell low on Herbert because everything is destined to improve for him.
36:15He is the same guy. He's still like 29 years old.
36:18He's going to be as good as he's been the last five years.
36:22It's not like he forgot how to play football for the next five years.
36:26And the situation around him is only going to improve.
36:29Jalen Hurts, the situation around him is only going to improve.
36:33And he's a couple of years younger than Josh Allen.
36:36And he has the game that's most similar to Josh Allen.
36:39He basically has Josh Allen with a weaker arm.
36:42That's the best way to explain who Jalen Hurts is.
36:45And that's a really good fantasy quarterback. These are players, I'm happy to buy low on.
36:50Bo Nix is a sell low because you could absolutely open up your computer or your phone or your tablet or your eyes two years from now.
36:58And Bo Nix is a backup quarterback somewhere. The question I have for you is who do you think gets banished first,
37:04gets supplanted first because these guys were drafted back to back in the NFL draft, Michael Penix or Bo Nix?
37:10Because it's now a debate. They're converging in the dynasty rankings.
37:14It's not like there's no pass volume at all in Atlanta.
37:17So Penix can only rise so much, right? Penix is only going to go up slightly, just like a semi sort of
37:24rise up the rankings, not a full, like, you know, all the blood rushing toward that particular asset.
37:29Everybody after that, everybody wanting a piece of that, everyone grabbing at it in dynasty.
37:34That's not going to happen to Penix in the context of this Atlanta offense.
37:38But what could happen is because at least this is a functional offense, because they can move the ball through Bijan primarily
37:45and their offensive line, if they can win games and sustain drives, he could put up fewer fantasy points per game than
37:51Bo Nix, but keep his job longer. Yeah. Think about how you facilitate to the moneymakers in Bijan Robinson and Drake London.
37:58You're not getting that right now from Bo Nix with Jalen Waddell, who was acquired.
38:03They paid a ton just to acquire him. And the other thing that's happening with Bo Nix is he's not rushing and
38:09fleeing and using the ability he has on the ground.
38:12And when you consider the fact that he had that ankle injury, I think it stands to reason that there could be
38:19a little bit of fear street for him in playing more hesitancy.
38:23And it's an issue for his play. I've always thought he's a system quarterback in a good system with Sean Payton.
38:29But if you're messing that up to your point, the rest of the NFL is not going to be as promising for him.
38:36So if you mess it up with Sean Payton, I'm not so sure you can succeed much elsewhere.
38:41I really hope that's what it is with him.
38:44If that's what it is, if you have Bo Nix and dynasty, again, I don't have any of him.
38:50And it's a complete outlier because I have at least some of every quarterback, including Josh Allen.
38:55I have, I found, I have, I did remember, I have a couple of Josh Allen's, which is great.
39:01It's like, I forgot I have Josh Allen. It's just that when you take over orphans, you just never expect to have Gibbs.
39:08You never expect to have Josh Allen. Oh, you have Gibbs.
39:11You have Gibbs on that one league where somebody died and you took it over.
39:16I remember that. I do have a couple Gibbs actually.
39:19It just makes me smile every time I opened up that, that team.
39:23And I have a couple of Josh Allen's and it's just, it's, it's fun.
39:27It's fun to have these players. It's fun to look up and oh, I have Bijan in the league.
39:33That's amazing. I think only have Bijan like one league, no Bo Nix at all.
39:37Total variants have no idea why I just don't have him.
39:41And I'm very, I couldn't be more happy. I mean, to avoid that particular landmine because he is officially, I think the,
39:47one of the great landmine quarterbacks and all of super flex, if it is the ankle and he's just not a hundred percent mentally or physically.
39:55And eventually as the season goes along, we start to see him scrambling.
39:59We start to see him making plays with his arm and his leg.
40:03And all of a sudden it's like, oh yeah, this is the Bo Nix that I remember from a couple of years ago.
40:10Great. Yeah. This is, but this is, this is NFL breakout Bo Nix.
40:14Welcome back. That's very possible. It's very possible, but it's also possible that Bo Nix, the guy that was kicked around college
40:21football for six years, isn't actually a stud, you know, franchise level quarterback in the NFL.
40:25And he finds himself more on like the CJ Stroud path where the team just doesn't want to pay him.
40:32I don't know. I don't know. When is he, when is he up for like a new contract?
40:37Is this his third year? I feel like it's coming up soon.
40:41I think it's coming up soon because, well, it doesn't really matter that he was drafted in the first round quarterbacks, the,
40:47the, the, you know, the fifth year option never comes into it.
40:51It's got one more year, 2027. Oh, call it.
40:54Jesus Christ. I can't, we got to move on.
40:56We got to put another trade up on the screen.
40:59Oh my God. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry to the audience.
41:03Guess what? I just read. Colin cowherd is begging Denver not to resign Bo Nix to an extension.
41:08Okay. I'm now calling cowherd. This is over. I love Bo Nix.
41:12I wish I'm going to go try to trade for him by low on Bo Nix.
41:17I can't be seen or heard having the same take as Colin cowherd.
41:21What is happening to me? Bo Nix stinks. I don't want him.
41:24What's next, Justin? Oh, look at Justin. So fast.
41:27Yes. Talk to us, coach. What is this? Yeah.
41:30And this really set off that league where I'm turning things around and he had shorted me on, I think the, I don't know, 28 sec.
41:38It was like a 28 seconds. That's what it was.
41:41It was a 28 second, this first and that 27 second.
41:44So then I said, Hey, make it a 28 first, 27 first and the second, and we'll turn it around.
41:50He said here, throw on that fourth. So maybe he can go try and acquire Tyler Huntley later.
41:56And I go and I build my team for the future.
41:59And I offset Trevor Lawrence. I have Daniel Jones and Baker Mayfield and Mac Jones as well.
42:04Mac Jones is another piece of that copper that I want to keep for that house because I see him getting an NFL job, especially pot father.
42:12If we end up having somebody like Arch Manning go back to school, one less quarterback.
42:17So yeah, not for nothing. I'm enjoying that. Who talked about that so much that the audience yelled at me?
42:23I believe the audience yelled at me, stop talking about Arch Manning and the propaganda.
42:28There's no way he's going back to school. No way.
42:31I heard there was no chance. And then I'm an idiot and I'm wasting people's time.
42:36And I'm a troll for mentioning for even broaching the subject.
42:39And no, I was like, I was like, no, I think the odds are he comes out, but think about all these
42:46scenarios where he actually doesn't come out. One of those scenarios is what we're seeing now where he's not playing at the highest level.
42:53He's not playing up to his own expectations. The team isn't playing up to his own expectations.
42:58And he might just want to stay in college because playing football at Texas looks like a hell of a lot of fun to me.
43:06It looks a lot more fun. I mean, it doesn't look, it is, it's a hell of a lot more fun to
43:12play football at Texas than it is to play football in Cleveland.
43:16And he can still make a lot of money.
43:19Yeah, exactly. And it's not like he has to eat in the cafeteria anymore.
43:23No, it's not like that. Times have changed. Times have changed back in my day.
43:27Arch Manning would have to go to the cafeteria.
43:30No more. Are we holding Hampton? You have to, you have to, you thank you.
43:35You have to, okay. Pretty much you have to hold chargers.
43:38The chargers are so dysfunctional. They're so broken that the only player that you can afford to sell low on because it's absolutely over.
43:45And the fact that he had any value at all was tied to this offense being good.
43:51And now that this offense isn't good, you can feel free to let him go is Quinton Johnston.
43:56Other than Quinton Johnston, you have to hold, you cannot sell low on a Rondé Gaston.
44:01You cannot sell low on Justin Herbert. You can't get anything for these guys.
44:05You can't get anything for Ladd McConkie at this point.
44:08You can't get anything for Trey Harris, but he had an opportunity and then hamstring injury.
44:13And now he's out for week six. This is just the story of the chargers.
44:17They can't get out of their own way, run blocking, which makes no sense, but their interior line is the worst in the league.
44:25And Hampton has no room to operate. One guy on this team that can actually do anything right now is Keaton Mitchell.
44:31He's the only one that you can put in situations where you get him out in the flat and he can make
44:38a guy miss and he can actually get positive yards and do cool, fun things.
44:43That's about it. And then we saw a little come on even all doing it randomly, but it's mostly on a down to down basis.
44:50When I think about plays, I would call if I were running this offense, it would be a swing pass to Keaton Mitchell.
44:57That works. Other than that, nothing is working. That's the literally the only place working for the chargers.
45:03You cannot sell any chargers. Please, by all means hold Hampton.
45:06And if you're rebuilding, he's a buy. He is a first round running back with an all purpose skillset.
45:12You put that profile up there on the screen and you will be dazzled.
45:16He has a dazzling, super impressive profile, athleticism, production, everything, everything you would want.
45:20He is comparable and it's a close comp to Brees Hall.
45:24He's like a bitter, he's a bigger, better version of Brees Hall.
45:27That is what he is in a vacuum. That is the best way to describe him.
45:32So yes, you are absolutely trying to trade for him, trying to get him selling low is not an option.
45:38If anyone, I want to see trades. If anyone has sold low, has sold Marin Hampton, has put Marin Hampton on the
45:45block and then a trade and traded him away in the last two, three weeks, put that in the chat.
45:51We want to see it. So let's just circle back to this, just Justin Lawrence trade that you pulled off.
45:57You're happy with it. You're happy with the, with what you, with what you did there.
46:02Absolutely. And I actually checked in with the trade partner, uh, just this last week during that London game, cause he is
46:08a Jaguars fan and he did win the championship last year.
46:12He doesn't have any sellers remorse, buyers remorse. He's very happy about his side.
46:16He's trying to run back to back and I feel very fortified with what I'm getting.
46:21I'm really set up very well. And I have just such excellent cornerstone assets where right now it's very stripped down in
46:28my total max points for is looking like I'm going to get the one-on-one for Jeremiah Smith, but yes, I'm going to be quick turnaround.
46:35It's just a matter of, I got a free look at my team and all those older assets where it's the Mike
46:42Evans, the Barkley's the DJ Morris, George Kittles had to find a way to get out.
46:47It just wasn't going to run its course. I would feel really bad right now, right about this time, if I was
46:53a middling team with all those players. So got to get out at the right time.
46:58I should say Jamie Parag is in the chat thanking us for his zero Quinton Johnston shares.
47:03And there's another one. Okay. Bo Nix, no shares of Bo Nix.
47:07Also no shares of Quinton Johnston. He was one of those guys that just immediately got thrown into trades when I would
47:14take over an orphan, just immediately throw in Quinton Johnston, get him out of here, whatever, whatever you want to give me for him.
47:21Here's a little something to help balance a trade out.
47:24Quinton Johnston, whatever. Here you go. That's fine. Here's the problem with Trevor Lawrence, not super mobile, not a guy that's going
47:31to win fantasy championships with his mobility. No one calls Trevor Lawrence a Konami QB.
47:35He's more similar to what you're getting from a Bo Nix or a Justin Herbert, a guy that can run for two,
47:42300 yards and some, some years, maybe five rushing touchdowns.
47:45So he'll have those, those, those years. Justin Herbert has a Jacksonville Jaguars problem.
47:49His defense is too damn good. And his offensive line is too damn good.
47:53Just, just ask Tyler Shuck, ask Tyler Shuck, how the sausage is made blowing past 20 fantasy points week in, week out.
48:00It's your, your offensive line has to be in a position where it can't run block.
48:05And then you have to have some good receivers and your defense needs to be porous, especially in the back half.
48:11So if your secondary can't cover anybody and you can't run the ball that is, and you have a big arm and
48:18some weapons, some downfield weapons, you're going straight to 20 fantasy points per game.
48:22That's what's going to happen. And a guy like Trevor Lawrence can never compete with that because he's going to be in
48:29a lot of these games where they're up 20 to three and it's the basial, it's the basial toot and show.
48:35So I look up on a service like keep trade cut Trevor Lawrence, because of the resume, he was the one-on-one is
48:42such a bias, such a first round pick and especially a one-on-one pick bias.
48:46When you crowdsource data, it's embarrassing. I'm embarrassed for the public, how biased they are in favor of the one-on-one again, Bryce
48:53young is the best example of this. How quickly they would just want to course correct on Bryce young.
48:59Oh, he's elite. Right. Trevor Lawrence is, I mean, a top option in those crowdsourced ranking services in dynasty, but on a
49:05weekly basis, he has a very difficult time meeting those expectations because of the team he's on.
49:10It is not a team that's built to score fantasy points.
49:14That team is perfectly designed for one player and one player only to score fantasy points.
49:19And that is basial tootin even Parker Washington. And you don't want to hear this, but even Parker Washington is going to have low volume weeks.
49:27And you look at his targets week in week out.
49:30He's it's not like he's leading the league in targets or air yards or anything like that.
49:35Parker Washington is just that good. And that efficient.
49:37He's taken a slant to the, to the house.
49:40That's how Parker Washington, that's how he rolls. That's how he produces.
49:44He's an efficiency monster. It's not doing it with volume, man.
49:47So a guy like Parker Washington, he'll never be able to compete with Chris Olave in terms of total fantasy points in
49:54a season in the next three or four years.
49:57Chris Olave also, another one of those players. Remember we were stacking shucking Olave a lot.
50:01Yeah, that's fine. That was, that was another, that was another receiver.
50:05Hey, to your point about the Jaguars. So over under last two weeks, last week it was 43 and a half this
50:12week to your point 42 and a half. There's a limitation to the ceiling.
50:16When teams face the Jaguars, they get snuffed out.
50:19It's the same problem that Kyler Murray has like Kyler Murray had to go make plays and put his, put his health
50:25at risk as well with the Cardinals because they had no choice.
50:29They had to score points. Now he can be the good guy.
50:33He can be the new guy that he created this new persona that he created professional Kyler Murray, and just take care
50:39of the football, not make mistakes, manage the game post 15 fantasy points a game and post like a 13 and four record.
50:46And that's what Trevor Lawrence is not being asked to win a lot of games.
50:51So if I said, what's the most talented duo Lawrence and Parker or shock and Olave it's hands down Lawrence and Parker,
50:57Parker, Washington is like one of the most talented receivers in the league.
51:01I also think that because he works out so fanatically, he's also one of the least injury prone since that injury he
51:08had in college that cost him the pre-draft process.
51:11And there's the reason he is ultra durable, does not get some of those ticky tack injuries that so many of these
51:18receivers often are hit with like, like a hip pointer, you know, a mild hamstring strain, calf strain, ankle foot, these receivers, they're sports cars.
51:25They get taken out on the weekends and they get these little nicks and knocks.
51:30Not so Parker Washington built like a running back.
51:32So that's another reason why I love him in dynasty.
51:35And of course you want that guy in dynasty, but in terms of like this year, who's going to accrue value, there
51:42isn't a better offensive environment for scoring fantasy points that we're seeing in new Orleans with that passing game, very similar to what we're seeing in green Bay.
51:51It's just that green Bay is so cartoonishly bad with their offensive line that it does actually impact Jordan love in some games.
51:58Like you saw it impacted shock last week because they went against the best defense.
52:02Like what is, what is shaping up to be potentially an ultra elite defense in the Vikings, but most weeks the saints can figure it out.
52:10They can figure out how to turn it on in the second half and shut goes for three 50 and three touchdowns and two interceptions.
52:18That's the shock experience. That's the Jordan love experience.
52:20More often than not, those two guys are going to outscore Trevor Lawrence.
52:24So you getting out now before we get to say week 12, week 13, and your league mates realize, Oh, Trevor Lawrence
52:31is just kind of like Tom Brady with Troy Brown.
52:34They're, they're winning games with their defense and their running game.
52:37Like it's, it's all about blunt. It's not, or tootin it's not really about Trevor Lawrence this year, but we're fortunately though, Parker Washington, so damn efficient.
52:45He's virtually unaffected by this. There are going to be some weeks where you're not going to get much out of Parker
52:52Washington, just because there's no incentive for them to throw the ball at all.
52:56Most weeks though, he's going to eat the biggest loser by far, by the way, in this whole scenario, the guys that
53:03get the most damaged when they find themselves in these elite offenses that have no incentive to ever pass the ball.
53:09It's the wide receiver twos and wide receiver threes.
53:12Like you used to be able to set your watch by Jacoby Myers and getting 10 fantasy points.
53:18You can't do that anymore. Jacoby Myers is he's a coin flip.
53:21He's even going to be fantasy usable week in, week out.
53:25Brian Thomas is a zero, a literal zero. Brian Thomas is getting three targets in a game and he's dropping the one
53:31that was, would have been a touchdown that would have helped me against my daughter, which I don't want to talk about anymore.
53:38It's talking about on top 10 takeaways. You pick the exact right quarterback in terms of current situation and public perception to
53:45put on the block and bank those picks. Bravo.
53:48Justin's really doing this. I can't believe he's doing this.
53:51He's, he's intentionally doing this to me and he has to understand that I'm smiling so much him trolling me like this
53:57makes me so happy, but here's another trade. I rejected.
54:00This is supposed to be trades. We've done to kind of show our strategy and tactics to the world.
54:06And maybe you want to emulate it. Maybe you don't, but here's what we're doing instead.
54:11It's like, these are all trades that I rejected because I was annoyed.
54:15And here's another one where someone tried to trade me tank, Bigsby Puka Nakua.
54:19Hey, good player. Thank you. And Damon Claiborne. Fine.
54:22I like Damon Claiborne. I like him as a throw in wants me to give up just Jeremiah love.
54:28No big deal. And Parker Washington. This is not a trade I would ever do.
54:32However, this is sure as hell less offensive than some of these other Parker Washington trades I've gotten.
54:38It is comical how some fantasy gamers, especially in dynasty leagues, finally come to Jesus on these players.
54:43And they think that there's enough time. Like I think the buy window, maybe it's still open.
54:48Maybe I can still get this guy. Maybe if I dangle a super high brand equity player, he'll bite.
54:54And I'm like, no auto reject, auto reject Parker Washington from a talent profile.
54:58Isn't that far away from Puka Nakua. In fact, in two years, we'll be thinking of Parker Washington as the next Puka Nakua.
55:05It's already happening. And you want me to give up Jeremiah love.
55:09I wouldn't even sell low on a Marion Hampton.
55:12You think I'm going to sell lower Jeremiah love right now?
55:15Are you insane? You think I'm going to get Jeremiah love for me right now after two fantasy points?
55:21Like it's offensive. Like you think I'm a moron think about here's dumping Jeremiah love what?
55:26And I wasn't even offended by this. This is, I, this is a rule of thumb.
55:30If you want to be a good trade partner, someone that I'm not going to dismiss and laugh at as someone that's
55:37just trying to pawn off Tyrod Taylor or Cooper rush.
55:40When I give me Cooper rush for, and try to get a fourth rounder, right for Cooper rush.
55:46And you're trying to do that shit to me.
55:48No, like that is, that is where I draw the line.
55:52That is where I actually will, will bubble up with anger here though.
55:56No, because at least he had to courtesy the professionalism to offer me the best player in the deal.
56:01At least Puka was involved. You want to put Puka, you want to put an elite, an uber elite prospect player in the deal on my side.
56:10I respect you. You want to go load up the other side and make it ridiculous.
56:14Fine. But at least I had the choice of potentially getting the best player in the deal.
56:20And I respect that. It's a lot better than people who, Hey, give something to get something.
56:25And they have none of that. And there's two things with trades need to give something to get something.
56:30And you have to look at the depth of the other team.
56:34How does it make sense for them? And if you can think that way, you will get more deals done other than
56:41the slapdick offers that you just spam out. You have way more success by just generating that friction point to your trade partner.
56:48Think like you would be in their shoes, offer them something that they would want at the same time, get something that you want.
56:55It's not difficult, but it does take an ounce of attention.
56:58Thank you, coach. Well said there has to be a trade involving Parker Washington.
57:03And that I rejected that illustrates what we're talking about.
57:06Don't we have a slapdick Parker, Washington trade somewhere in the basket?
57:09Here we go. Here we go. Look at Justin, Justin.
57:12He's so on it. He's just there. Bang, bang slapdick offer right here.
57:16Look at this slapdick. Look at this sending me Keenan Allen, Lad McConkie in a 2027 fourth rounder.
57:22Not, not a third, not a second. No, no, not a second.
57:25No, no, no, not, not even a third. No, no, a fourth, a fourth rounder for guess who?
57:31Kamani Vidal and Parker Washington. Okay. I don't remember who offered this to me, but shame on them.
57:36And this is the quintessential slapdick. Where have you been all year?
57:40Are you just assuming that I'm a moron? I mean, that, that, that's the reason it's offensive, by the way, why do you get offended?
57:48It's dynasty. People are competing. They're trying to buy low.
57:51Yeah, I know. But the reason I'm offended is because when you get a deal like this in your inbox, you assume
57:57that there was some empathy by your league mate.
58:00There was some effort as coach laid out to put themselves in your shoes and try to understand how you might value
58:07players and what you might like in a deal.
58:09Let's not waste each other's time. And so if that is the case, then definitionally, if you think I would accept this, then you think I'm a moron.
58:18Like what is happening? Who is this? Why do they think that this is a good use of any of our time?
58:25Lad McDonkey. Now I will say Lad McConkie is not the stronghold that a Marion Hampton is.
58:30A Marion Hampton is a stronghold. Don't even think about selling him.
58:33Trey McBride is a hold, obviously. I don't know why I said Trey McBride.
58:38Trey Harris. Yeah. Very much a hold. Trey Harris is a good football player and he will have an opportunity again.
58:44This could be a Roshan Johnson situation where every time he gets an opportunity, he gets hurt, but hopefully it's not.
58:50This is a, this is a good football player and he's better than the wide receiver version of Roshan Johnson.
58:56I can promise you that. Okay. Do not sell low on Trey Harris.
59:00You can't get anything for him anyway. Do not sell low on a Rondé gas and you can't get anything for him anyway.
59:07Don't sell low on Justin Herbert. Don't sell low on a Marion Hampton.
59:11I am holding Lad McConkie, but you could pry him away from me.
59:15If you assigned any value to him that was even close to what he was three or four weeks ago, I'd be interested.
59:22What if I gave you Jalen Waddle? Oh no.
59:25Why did you have to do that? That's a great, if you were doing one for one, just analog trades.
59:31Sure. I guess I'll take it. I'll take Waddle.
59:34Waddle has a better resume than McConkie. Waddle has a breakout season with air yards and a breakout season with yak.
59:40Very few receivers have ever done that. So he has demonstrated skills that McConkie has not demonstrated.
59:45And they're both in the two signature dysfunctional offenses.
59:48One is performatively dysfunctional in Denver with all the yelling and the blaming.
59:52And the other one is just straight up, obviously on its face, dysfunctional at every turn with an offensive coordinator who is
59:59an absolute fraud and somehow wears glasses like this on the sideline and people don't think that he's a moron.
60:05They're like, oh, that's cool. Oh yeah. Oh, South beach.
60:08Oh yeah. Yeah. No, he's hip. Oh, he's one of the young guys.
60:12Yeah. He uses AI. Yeah. Oh, he understands AI.
60:14Yeah. He must know what he's doing. Yeah. He's got tight pants.
60:18He's wearing these, you know, these, what would you call this?
60:21Amber sunglasses, right? These oversized amber sunglasses. He must be, he must be smart.
60:26No, total fraud. Cody did a trade. Cody Carpenter is in the chat.
60:29If we're talking dynasty, Cody's around. Cody's going to find his way into the show or the chat somehow, some way he
60:36sent Jalen Warren for a 20, 27 second and a 20, 27 third.
60:40And he's rebuilding. I would try to get more.
60:43This is one of those scenarios where I understand you don't want the season to expire with Jalen Warren still on your team.
60:50If you're rebuilding that feels suboptimal considering the guy is well past the AJ packs.
60:54He's multiple years past the AJ packs, but he's also a lightly used race car.
60:59So I am conflicted. And in fact, we should put another trade, a trade that actually, I think is complimentary to this trade.
61:06And just in terms of the analysis around it is a trade, Justin, if you can find it, a trade that I
61:13did that involved Terry McLaurin was Terry McLaurin, Braylon Allen, Will Shipley, Keon Coleman.
61:17This was a trade offer that I received and that you and I talked about because I was very close to accepting this.
61:24I was very, very close. I receive Rashid Jhaid, Torrey Horton, Jalen Knoll, Adam Randall, Eli Heidenreich.
61:29In other words, just the ultimate roster clogging bag of mid-level assets to even be kind, to be kind, right?
61:35We're talking about wide receiver threes or wide receiver twos on run first offenses, running backs that are not active on game day.
61:42And I get a 20, 27 first rounder, okay?
61:4520, 27 first rounder for the best team in the league.
61:48So this is the, projects to be the one 12.
61:51I give up Terry McLaurin, Braylon Allen, Will Shipley, Keon Coleman, and my 20, 27 second, which is going to be early.
61:58On paper, this feels like a smash. I want the 20, 27 first so bad.
62:02I don't want the season to expire with Terry McLaurin still on my roster.
62:06But this turns out to be just a, you know, a trade-up.
62:10This is not a real 20, 27 first. This is just a trade-up.
62:14I have an early 20, 27 second. We're talking about five slots at most, five, six slots that I'm trading up and I'm giving up Braylon Allen.
62:22I wouldn't even be as concerned about doing this trade.
62:25In fact, I probably would have done it if it were just Tara McLaurin.
62:30But trying to sneak Braylon Allen, not going to happen.
62:33You're not going to sneak Braylon Allen past me.
62:35And when you go to our dynasty rankings on player profiler, you can see, oh, wow, look where they have Braylon Allen.
62:42I would have to say with high degree of certainty, we are the only dynasty ranking service in existence that has Braylon
62:49Allen in the top 25 running backs. So no, I'm not doing it.
62:53Braylon Allen is worth a 20, 27 second by himself at this point.
62:57He is earning a job in the league in a major way.
63:00You know how hard it is to get it, to earn a 100% snap share on any team in the NFL at any time.
63:07It's crazy. He's doing great. When I look at this deal and we talked about it, you want to come off that second.
63:14For you, you mentioned Braylon Allen, which is fair, especially after what happened last week.
63:19But you want to come off that second round pick.
63:22That's the part where I thought, and you mentioned it earlier, just a few moments ago, sliding back just a handful of
63:29picks is not worth it with that whole entirety of the package.
63:32So I would want to come off of that second round pick, push it over to a third.
63:38I was here strategizing with Justin, how we're going to get through all these trades.
63:42It's going to be challenging. We have a lot more to go and we're already well over an hour in, and we have yet more trades from Cody.
63:51He sent Derek Henry for a 20, 27 first and third.
63:54Yeah. Fair market value. That's perfect. You get a free look at your team.
63:58And clearly Cody just mentioned it's a rebuild. So you're not going to get much more than a first at this point.
64:05So good on you. And you get the immediacy.
64:08You didn't get a 28 first. You got the 27.
64:11It's going to be liquid and you love to see it.
64:14So if that's a backend one, still even great.
64:17Hey, maybe it's Cam Coleman. Maybe it's a Dante Moore, Charlie Becker.
64:21So good on you, Cody. You got to do it.
64:24Good, good trade. Good trade. Cody, the Jalen Warren one though.
64:27See, we have Jalen Warren and Derek Henry one tier away, right?
64:31I would still much rather have Derek Henry, but it's getting closer.
64:34Jalen Warren has been awesome. Like what Jalen Warren is doing this year is not something that any cardboard cutout running back can do just given opportunities.
64:42But can you get a first for Jalen Warren?
64:45I just don't think you can get up there.
64:48I would almost say that second round pick and maybe add somebody, if you believe in him, a Jalen Waddle.
64:54Do you enter Lab McConkie territory? At what point is more enough if you're selling Jalen Warren?
64:59This is why we're here. These exact topics people need to understand.
65:03That's what they want from us, coach. When I get emails from people, this is the type of conversation they want, they need.
65:10How do I get a deal done and not feel like I'm overpaying?
65:14In the case of Cody with the Jalen Warren deal, I think he's on the wrong side of it.
65:19On principle, just like I wouldn't deal McLaurin because McLaurin is not Chris Godwin, right?
65:24You have these players like DJ Moore that are on the Chris Godwin career arc where they've had so many lower body
65:31injuries and they're not the same player. They're not as explosive.
65:34They can put it together for a week here, a week there.
65:38They're in great volume situations, but they're pretty much dust.
65:41If we're really being honest, what's the difference between DJ Moore and Chris Godwin?
65:45I mean, they are in similar tiers on our dynasty rankings.
65:48I can tell you that. I know that DJ Moore is much higher in most services, especially the crowdsourced ranking services, but I don't see much difference.
65:56I mean, these are very similar players, similar ages with similar injury track records and a lack of explosiveness.
66:02McLaurin, not that. McLaurin has years ahead of him.
66:05He hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. Same with Jalen Warren.
66:09Jalen Warren is young for his age is what I would argue.
66:12So with a Jalen Warren, with a guy like Terry McLaurin, we call it, there's a reason we have the Terry McLaurin corollary.
66:19It is the Terry McLaurin corollary that players that have been largely healthy and efficient throughout their twenties can play well into their thirties.
66:26Jalen Warren just now, just today or around today turned 28 years old.
66:30So we could have age 28 season next year.
66:33So it'll still be 28 start the season. And then an age 29 season in 2028, no reason to deal him.
66:39You should not trade a player like Jalen Warren.
66:42Like he's burning a hole in your pocket. Don't do it.
66:45But what if this is a rebuilder and with what quarterback next year, if Aaron Rogers is out and it's dump off
66:52city and it just works, just everything is aligned perfectly for Jalen Warren.
66:56And I imagine, you know, Cody can let us know in the comments.
67:00I imagine Cody is trying to time the market in this sense.
67:04Speaker 2 Doubles out. I understand it. I totally understand the logic behind it.
67:08The way to do that deal is to get something else back.
67:12You've got to figure out a way to get something else back.
67:15You're not going to get a first rounder. You want to trade him, but you can't make it a fire sale.
67:22You've got to get an Emmett Johnson back. You got to get a Jonah Coleman back.
67:26You got to get even Mike Washington. You got to get someone like that back or a wide receiver.
67:32There's plenty of wide receivers you could get back in that situation.
67:36If a person really needed a running back, you could get a buy low receiver.
67:40You get a good Josh Downs, right? Josh Downs, Devon Vele.
67:44Like you're not going to get a wide receiver that has explosive plays early in his career, like a Denzel Boston.
67:50No, you're not going to get a young, exciting player.
67:53That's not going to happen. You're not even going to get a younger hurt player.
67:58Like ideally you could somehow get like a Jordan Tyson.
68:01Like that's the number one target. If you're rebuilding and you're trading with a win now team and somehow, some way they have Jordan Tyson.
68:08It's just not common, but sometimes yes, you can get a Jordan Tyson from those, those dynasty managers.
68:14You could even target like a reclamation project. You could even target like a Brian Thomas or Jordan Addison, or one of
68:20these rookies that's yet to break out, but things are about to click into place for them.
68:26Chris Bell, Antonio Williams. And my favorite of all, my favorite of all, what would have made this trade a smash to
68:32me, an absolute smash, not only because I would love it so much, but because it's very doable.
68:38It's like, it's the perfect player to tack onto a deal like that.
68:42Like, okay, 20, 27 second and a third and wide receiver X, the wide receiver X that you can get from a win now team.
68:49If you're rebuilding right now, the player to get right now.
68:53And Cody and I have talked about him and I'm sure this player wasn't on the roster that he was negotiating with,
68:59but one of these guys we've listed is add nine Mitchell get somebody on the other side to balance this deal out
69:06because a second and a third for Warren is just not enough.
69:10And whoever you're dealing with wants Warren because Warren has been awesome this year and it has been super efficient, super productive.
69:16He's even underperformed his expected fantasy points. Even though he's putting up like 20 fantasy points a game, he should be scoring more.
69:23He's like a discount version of Jameer Gibbs this year.
69:26If you've been watching the Steelers, that's what he looks like.
69:30It's, it's been amazing. He looks amazing. I'm sure the person who's trying to trade for him knows this, sees this and
69:36would happily throw in one, like an Emmett Johnson, Nicholas Singleton, but the player I want thrown in there, Jacoby Lane.
69:43That is the center of the Venn diagram. Smart.
69:45Is if it Cody, if you could have just got Jacoby lane in addition, we would, we would have been victory lapping
69:52that we would have been shoving that in fantasy receipts face three years from now.
69:57He's like, eat this. No fantasy receipts apparently is victory lapping four week breakouts.
70:01Cool. Didn't see that coming. Really? I didn't. It's a weakness.
70:04I think it, I think all the press has maybe gotten to fantasy receipts under a little more pressure to like be
70:11provocative, go after the pod father after five weeks of max volume, Matthew golden.
70:15Okay, cool. One more from Cody. One more from Cody.
70:18We just want to reinforce that, Hey, you want to bring trades into the chat.
70:23We'll talk about them. That's what we do here on trade gods laid out.
70:27So look, it's non-premium tight end. I'm assuming Laporta Hubbard and a third for 27 first.
70:32So again, rebuild on Cody's end, and it's going to hurt to send away Hubbard.
70:36You like to take what he's doing right now and benefit, but if you're not benefiting on a winning team, you have to offload.
70:44And you said non-premium. So Laporta, it's easy to make up that ground at the tight end position and a third just to get to the 27 first.
70:52I love it, Cody. So great options here on the rebuilding side.
70:56And this is what's fun about, you know, all off season.
70:59We don't have these moving parts like we do.
71:02So as we're entering week six, we have all these moving parts and you can take such advantage.
71:07All these players that we've talked about who are low or who are high, we've reshuffled the deck.
71:13In three, four months ago, you would have thought it was crazy.
71:16The way we are talking about Jalen Warren right now, they even enter the discussion for a one.
71:22So this is just the incredible on the fly.
71:25Some of the best dynasty gamers will be Carpentier.
71:27Sharp. Just for the record, Cody is in first place in a number of leagues.
71:32We're in several leagues together. You and I need to be more leagues together, by the way.
71:37I'm in so many leagues with Cody. He's crushing.
71:40He's either in last or first, which is what you want, right?
71:43It's Talladega Knights, right? Cody is Talladega. Wish we could get that to stick.
71:48Talladega, Talladega Carpentier. Cody Sharp and Tear. That's right.
71:50Talladega. Talladega Cody, man. Talladega Cody. If we ain't first, we last.
71:54That's Cody right there. I mean, he is very good at finishing last in these kinds of situations because he is really
72:01bailing on Sam Laporta at a high point. And I understand it.
72:04Sam Laporta is now the tight end five in dynasty.
72:07I think that's beyond dispute. We have met tight end five on player profiler.
72:12There is an argument for likely. I don't agree with that argument.
72:15There's an argument for a few players. Maybe you could argue Sadiq, the super sicko draft capital zealots might say it's Sadiq.
72:22But for us, you look at draft capital, you look at production, you look at everything.
72:27Laporta has been great. I am not concerned that trading Chuba Hubbard now will blow back at me.
72:32I'm not. I'm very comfortable trading Chuba Hubbard. Nobody thinks that Chuba Hubbard is like this elite asset and oh my God,
72:39what might happen if you trade him? No, this is absolutely a sell high situation on Chuba Hubbard.
72:44No doubt about it. I just don't like the Laporta thing.
72:48I think that sometimes, and I find myself falling into this trap.
72:51If it's non tight end premium, I just treat tight ends like they don't matter.
72:56They're confetti. And that's true down the board. Okay.
72:59If we're talking about, I would say at best case of a player that really who's elite, but he's to the point
73:05where you could trade him in non tight end premium and it really wouldn't hurt you would be a George Kittle.
73:12You traded George Kittle and I agree with trading George Kittle right now.
73:15George Kittle has precious few years left and he has a Chris Godwin problem and that he's had several lower body injuries
73:22and that is going to affect his explosiveness sooner rather than later.
73:26Right? So what do we, what do we call it?
73:29The anti-Terra McLaurin corollary, whatever that is, it's going to affect Kittle soon.
73:33So if it were someone like Kittle, if it were Ferguson, if it were even, I would say Sadiq, I would be comfortable.
73:40It's, it's tough when it's Laporta. Laporta is getting to a point at age 25 where he's past the back problems, putting
73:46up 15 plus fantasy points per game. He's like the tight end four and in points per game scoring this year.
73:53If it were craft, I'd be happy. If it were, you know, Harold Fannin, I'd feel better about it.
73:59I just don't want to trade that tight end in that situation now, because for his age 25 season and next year
74:05and the year after there's no change in sight.
74:08Do you think the lions are suddenly going to have a put together an elite defense in the next year or two?
74:15I don't think so. This run that the lions are on from Gibbs on down, including Laporta and Amon Ross St.
74:21Brown. It's pretty epic. It's a pretty epic fantasy situation.
74:24And so that's what hurts me in the deal.
74:27That's where I put this in the, the trade analyzer on player profiler.
74:31And Cody is losing this deal for the 2027 first.
74:34I am also assuming that his trade partner who is acquiring Chuba Hubbard.
74:38If you are packaging Laporta, who is a Laporta is actually pre apex with a, you know, like the poster child for
74:44post apex sell now running backs, which would be Chuba Hubbard.
74:48Chuba Hubbard is very different than Jalen Warren. Chuba Hubbard is very much a volume dependent running back on a team that
74:54has where the depth chart has been cleared out and he's getting there just based on matchup and game situation and the team over-performing.
75:02If you watch Jalen Warren, that's not what's happening.
75:04Jalen Warren is just the best player on the field.
75:07It's different, right? No, you don't watch the Panthers and go just Chuba Hubbard is the best player on the field.
75:14No one's ever said that people are saying that right now in Pittsburgh.
75:18Tell you that right now. It's a little bit different.
75:21It's just a little different, right? So I would much prefer to deal two post apex assets in that situation.
75:27Even if it were Tucker craft, even just not Laporta, dude, like Laporta to me be very difficult to prime away from me.
75:34I wouldn't do it because I think, I think it's over.
75:37He broke out in a huge way. He showed the world what he's capable of his ceiling as a rookie, just like Kyle Pitts did.
75:45And then we've all been asking him to follow it up, improve it, follow it up, improve.
75:50That's who you are. Or was that an anomaly?
75:53Was that you were the last man standing in a, in a heavy pass volume offense and you were all that was
75:59left and a bunch of guys fell down and you scored a bunch of touchdowns.
76:04That happens every year to some players. We, we asked him to prove that that is not the case that he is
76:10a top five tight end because he was in this exact place three years ago, coach.
76:15Yeah. When he was tight in one. Yeah. He, he was there.
76:19And then it's this circuitous route all the way back to where he started.
76:23And now he's 25 and I'm like, I'm in, I'm in.
76:27And this is dynasty. I get this guy for the next five years instead of me having to go and, and carousel
76:33this goddamn position for the next five years with the Brenton strangers and the Jake Ferguson's he's a ticket out of that hell.
76:40So to me, I need more, I need more.
76:43So basically Cody had three trades that he sent to us.
76:46One, I think was just straight up shock. We all agree rebuilding.
76:50You get a 2027 first, you give up Derrick Henry.
76:53Kabang. The other two, I wish he got more.
76:56I wish he got more. And the crazy thing is I came into this show ready to rant against the Twitter mob
77:02and the social media mob telling me I need to get more.
77:06That was the whole theme of the show. But Justin, our producer has engineered the show in such a way that those
77:13trades that I thought we were going to lead with, he has held back the trades that are the most interesting.
77:19He's decided not to put up on the screen for an hour and a half because I have also been in the
77:26situation very recently where the dynasty theory people, the people that are thinking about the theory of dynasty and what you should
77:32be getting in an optimal world, what I should be getting Justin, do you have a trade involving Lamar Jackson and Christian McCaffrey there?
77:40I need to call this particular trade out and request it to be put on the screen because I don't think you're
77:46going to do it unless I ask for it because you want to put Tyler Huntley trades up on the screen to
77:53troll me, which I appreciate very much. And I love, I love you for it, but we need this trade.
77:59Now is the time to talk about if I'm going to criticize Cody Carpentier, the great, the great Carpentier for not getting enough.
78:06I just, can't you get something thrown in to these deals?
78:09Can't we get a Jacoby lane? Can't we get an Emmett Johnson in these deals?
78:14When now teams have to draft some rookies, right?
78:17When now teams end up with Jonah Coleman and Emmett Johnson and Nick Singleton.
78:21And I mean, I don't know, Cyrus Allen might even get some, some routes this week.
78:26Somebody, somebody that has some story that you can tell as a throw in a Chris Bell, something Ted Hurst.
78:32All you need to do to satiate me with these trades, Cody, just get, give, just get, get, get an extra throwing, get a Ted Hurst.
78:40Do we have this trade that I'm talking about the, the, the great Lamar Jackson trade?
78:45Oh no, we might have to do, oh man, we might have to do Justin's trade of all trades.
78:50Let's put it up on the screen. Let's put Justin's trade up on the screen.
78:55This is a trade that Justin did. And then I'm going to go find this trade that I did, and I'm going
79:02to get it up there, but go ahead and tell Justin what you think of this trade.
79:07Justin gets Jacoby lane and Jacoby Myers, the Jacobes, the Jacoby brothers.
79:10He gives up Jalen Knoll and Jaden Higgins. Yeah.
79:13I want the Jacoby lane side stay in your lane perfectly.
79:16Jacoby Myers right now, it's not hitting, you mentioned wide receiver two, wide receiver three for the Jaguars.
79:22It's truncated a little bit. The one upside with Jalen Noel, I do like the idea of him shifting over to the slot with Marvin Harrison Jr.
79:30being traded. And that's something I'm going to watch as soon as this week.
79:34Jaden Higgins is a great dynasty buy. And actually funny enough, he's a player who you could probably get for dirt cheap,
79:41especially now in the thick of things. So I think he's actually a target, but I do like you getting Jacoby lane.
79:48People have forgotten about him. We just got an alert that he should be back very soon.
79:53So just as Lamar Jackson is coming back, there's so much fancy goodness and sharp gamers were on Jacoby lane.
79:59So I'm really glad in this timing, you were able to Justin go and get Jacoby lane and Jacoby Myers, a nice
80:06little throw in, you get utility, but the Texans receivers, I'll be interested to see how things go.
80:11But also sharp on you. It's kind of turned out to, as much as we like Jaden Higgins in real time, getting Marvin Harrison Jr.
80:19with Neekle Collins, all of a sudden seats for chairs, it's very crowded out there.
80:23So I love this deal for you. And I think you're getting the best immediate player right now in Jacoby lane.
80:29And you love to see it. How often have the Ravens struggled to get a second receiver with Lamar Jackson, or just to get a stud receiver period.
80:38That's not Mark Andrews in his prime. And now you have Zay flowers who's crushing it and Jacoby lane, who's about to come right back.
80:46I love this deal for you. So very good deal, very good trade.
80:49And I'd be interested to see the motivation for the person getting both the Texans wide receivers.
80:55I can only hope the only path out for them right now to win would be if Noel took on like a tank Dell type of slot role.
81:03What about tank Dell though? I mean, he's coming back anytime I can get you Kobe lane.
81:08I'm in, this is the new Parker Washington for me.
81:11This is one where I'm just like, listen, everyone that goes to practice says that the team absolutely loves this player.
81:18It makes no sense that you would want this player.
81:21Like it made no sense to think of any Parker Washington as having any value.
81:25He's parked behind Jacoby Myers and Brian Thomas, and they just drafted Travis Hunter.
81:30And why would they ever hand the keys of the offense over to Parker Washington, a six round pick?
81:35That just seems absurd. Brian Thomas had 1100 yards two years ago.
81:39The idea that this would be the Parker Washington show in 2026 just seems absurd.
81:43I love Zay flowers, but Jacoby lane is a fantastic player, a fantastic talent that reportedly had the best camp in the history of the Ravens.
81:51Knowing that I would rather put my chips on the guy I have conviction in.
81:56Jaden Higgins is never going to be the number one as long as Nico Collins is healthy and playing well.
82:02Nico Collins has a couple of years left of his prime.
82:05They add Marvin Harrison Jr. It's becoming incredibly crowded.
82:08The Texans are not necessarily interested in signing Stroud for the longterm.
82:12Maybe they signed him to a short-term contract, maybe a couple of years.
82:16Maybe he has to settle for something that is just not one of these $300 million contracts, which I know he desperately wanted.
82:23He and his agent, especially desperately wanted, which is why he showed up to camp as a brand new guy.
82:29And now you look up and the team is, is flailing.
82:32And even though there's games where he's playing well, he's getting the blame.
82:36And so we don't know where he's going to end up.
82:39We don't know what this offense is going to look like.
82:43If it's his name's not Nico Collins and you want to trade any member of this passing game, including Dalton Schultz, I'm fine with it.
82:50Dalton Schultz is another one of those players where you want to put Dalton Schultz in there with Chuba Hubbard, ship it, right?
82:57That's the type of tight end. I want to ship to a contending team that needs tight end production.
83:03Here you go. Here's Dalton Schultz. Go ahead. Here's Travis Kelsey.
83:06Here's George Kittle by all means, please not, not ready to do that with Sam Laporta.
83:11Now I found this deal. It was on my phone all along.
83:15It somehow was not shared with Justin. He is blameless in this.
83:18This was 100% my failure to prepare properly for the show.
83:22And so it was not intentional by Justin to only put the worst possible trades that have the least amount of tactical
83:28analysis behind them up on the screen to start the show and burn up my voice and all of our brain cells
83:35before putting the real deal, the real conversation starter, the trade that everyone that follows me on social media doesn't follow me
83:42on social media, cares about me, doesn't care about me on social media.
83:46Nobody likes this trade coach. Nobody wanted this trade, but me.
83:49And I want to defend it. I'm here with a podcast called Trade Guys to defend this trade where I receive Josh
83:56Downs, Basial Tootin, Jackson Dart, Travis Hunter, Trevor ETNHN, Taj Brooks, Mike Washington Jr., a 2027 first and a 2027 third.
84:02This is not necessarily a first place team. So this 2027 first could fall in the mix.
84:07It could potentially even be top five. This is a team that is underperforming this year and the manager is frustrated that
84:14it's underperforming and he's trying to turn it around.
84:17So I think right now this team is in say eighth place, ninth place, but it looks like a team that probably
84:23should finish fifth place or fourth place. But importantly, this is not the 112.
84:28When I talk about a 2027 first, this is not the 112, the 111, the 110.
84:32This is a top 10 pick where if things go poorly for this team, it couldn't end up being a top five pick.
84:39Okay. So that's what I received a 2027 first and a 2027 third.
84:43In addition to the players I listed, I gave up Christian McCaffrey, Lamar Jackson, David Montgomery, Terry McLaurin, Michael Pittman, Dontavian Wicks, Terry Ferguson, not calling him Terrence.
84:52If he wants to produce, if he wants to stay healthy, I'll call him Terrence for now.
84:57He's Terry really should be Terrence McLaurin. Terry McLaurin has been so good for so long.
85:02His name really should be Terrence McLaurin, but he has that great nickname, scary Terry.
85:06He's going to stick with that. I understand that.
85:09But if he wants to be called Terrence, I'm all for it.
85:13Not this Ferguson, man. Get out of here. So I'm in last.
85:16I'm very much rebuilding. I had these two aging assets that were absolutely positively burning a hole in my pocket in Christian
85:23McCaffrey and Lamar Jackson, and certainly David Montgomery, but I didn't think I was going to get anything from David Montgomery.
85:29David Montgomery has no standalone value in dynasty. Go ahead and try.
85:33Go see what you can get for David Montgomery right now.
85:36The only way you can get rid of David Montgomery or Michael Pittman is to throw them into a deal like this,
85:43where it's just, hey, I'm trying to win and anything you give me that I think I can plug into my lineup
85:50at some point this season, I'll take it because I've got a bunch of junk on my bench and I'll just assume you take it.
85:57So I'll take all your junk, all your misfit toys, Taj Brooks, Travis Hunter.
86:02Talk about a misfit toy. That is the ultimate toy.
86:05That is a misfit toy now in fantasy, right?
86:07He has the DB next to his position officially.
86:10I knew this was your deal when you sent away Michael Pittman.
86:14I knew because you sent this to me. I didn't know who was getting what.
86:18As soon as I saw the other side with Pittman, I knew that was the side that you were selling.
86:24So bravo on that. This person is front running McCaffrey Jackson and thinking that they're doing highway robbery, but little do they
86:31know you're getting Jackson Dart, which this is phenomenal for you.
86:34Hazel Tootin. I like the first round pick. These are good options.
86:38Mike Washington could really develop into something. You're getting a little bit more than people realize, than meets the eye, and look at what's happened to David Montgomery.
86:46Of course, we spoke on Michael Pittman Jr., Dontavian Wicks, nothing crazy, and Ferguson.
86:51We can't even give him the full bit of his name because he has not produced yet.
86:56So yeah, I like this deal to a degree for you.
86:59In fairness, in fairness, okay, to my league mate, this was pre-Michael Pittman foot injury that sent him to IR, pre-Terry McLaurin
87:06injury, pre-injury to David Montgomery that caused him to leave week five.
87:09Yeah. The only players that were hurt when I did this deal, actually, Terrence Ferguson and Lamar Jackson.
87:15Now I know they're all hurt, except McCaffrey, ironically.
87:18They're all hurt now, which is why you need to deal them.
87:21I'm not telling Cody, don't do deals. I'm not telling Cody, don't get full value for Chuba Hubbard.
87:27You absolutely need to get out of Chuba Hubbard because Chuba Hubbard gets hurt.
87:31He's worthless. Their value vanishes like that. It was like a two-week period where David Montgomery's value went from something to nothing.
87:38Michael Pittman went from something to nothing. Tara McLaurin has been as healthy as any wide receiver in football the last 10
87:44years, misses one game, and suddenly he can't move him.
87:47That is the danger. That's why when a trade like this comes along, you need to make sure you get it done.
87:54I want to thank my trade partner. I don't remember who it was.
87:58He was with me step for step as we escalated this deal because as it was originally composed, it was never going to happen.
88:05What I started doing was what I requested Cody do, would you start adding, throw in pieces, adding pieces.
88:11I was like, well, I do think that if I'm going to be doing this trade, I need to at least get Josh Downs.
88:18And I need to at least get Mike Washington.
88:21And I can't just get a first. I got to get an additional pick.
88:25And we sort of stepped it up. And what if I add Wicks?
88:29What if I add Pittman? What if I add Ferguson?
88:32Ferguson was, I think, an underrated piece of this deal because he's young and he has potential.
88:37So I'm not just dumping all my old players.
88:40I'm saying, hey, here's a bunch of old players that was, wow.
88:44That was the Freudian slip of all time on the show.
88:47Here's some old players that can help you. Like I'm trying to say it with a straight face.
88:53Here's some old players that can help you. And then by the way, I have these exciting upside plays in Dontabian Wicks and Terrence Ferguson.
89:00You can have them too. It feels too one-sided if you're just getting all the old guys in a deal.
89:06But if somehow your league mate, your trade partner can just sprinkle in some upside, some young upside.
89:12It feels so much better. It really greases the wheels.
89:15I feel like it's such a non-factor in the grand scale of this trade.
89:19But Ferguson, I think, mattered. Including Ferguson mattered. And I remember not wanting to give him up.
89:24Being like, well, I'm a rebuilder. Doesn't a rebuilder want Terrence Ferguson?
89:28The answer is yes, but I also need to get a deal done.
89:32And the one player that every rebuilder needs to be going after aggressively is, of course, Jackson Dart.
89:37Jackson Dart is the perfect player. He's not going to score any points for you.
89:42He's going to help you get Jeremiah Smith. Then he's going to come roaring back, having an early season injury.
89:48He's going to be 100% for camp, 100% to start the season.
89:51He produced big numbers in a Konami role for two straight seasons.
89:55Small sample in 2025. Small sample again in 2026.
89:58You put those small samples together, you get almost a full season.
90:01And whether you go back to Matthew Stafford or number of players back through time, the best example Cody brought up was amazing.
90:08Drew Brees. There have been young quarterbacks, premium quarterbacks that have been injured and some you thought their career was over.
90:15Nick Saban thought Drew Brees was not going to be able to play again, or he would have drafted him when he was in Miami.
90:22In fact, that's his signature mistake. If you ask Nick Saban, hey, what happened your NFL career, Nick?
90:28He's like, I should have drafted Drew Brees, right?
90:31Instead, they went and signed Dante Culpepper and it went to hell.
90:34So point is these quarterbacks, if they have the talent, they're going to figure out a way they're going to Matthew Stafford
90:41had a clavicle fracture every year during his time in Detroit, it felt like early in his career.
90:46And he made it through. He became Matthew Stafford.
90:49Jackson Dart. I have 100% confidence. This injury will not impede his progress at all.
90:54He's going to come back to a healthy Malik Neighbors, who's now well more than a year removed from his knee surgery.
91:00Isaiah Likely is breaking out all over the place.
91:03They're going to add another receiver. They have Malachi Fields, maybe we'll develop into a big slot, but they are going to
91:10add yet another receiver in the draft. They have Cam Scadaboo out of the backfield.
91:14They're going to bolster the offensive line. This is going to be a team that I think sharp people are very bullish
91:21on in 2027 than New York Giants. And if you were able to buy low on Malik Neighbors, good for you.
91:27I couldn't do it. I tried. I couldn't do it.
91:30But as you can see up on the board, there's a little check mark next to accepted.
91:35I was able and with a rebuilding team to get my hands on one Jackson Dart.
91:40And that's not easy to do, but he's out there.
91:43He's out there. Teams have him like when now teams have him.
91:47I mean, it's so exploitable. I mean, I did this.
91:50I went through every single league and I tried to find every team that had Jackson Dart.
91:55And if it was a win now team, I immediately submitted an offer.
91:59I don't remember how this offer came to be.
92:02It might've been, that might've been the Genesis where I was like, I see Basial Tootin's usage going up.
92:08And I know this is a run first team and Basial Tootin's only going to get better and better and better.
92:14And you can see where he's, where he's headed in the, in our dynasty rankings.
92:18If I told you Basial Tootin has passed Quinshawn Judkins, would you think that's crazy?
92:23Not as it sits right now. Not as it sits right now at the beginning of the season.
92:29Yeah. That did. That would have been pretty dumb, right?
92:32No one would have ever thought that would be possible.
92:35The absolute worst case scenario for Judkins, which is what we've seen.
92:38He's been healthy and super unproductive, not a hundred percent his fault, but it's just what's happened.
92:43And Basial Tootin has found his way into the absolute dream scenario for a running back where you have an elite defense
92:50and elite offensive line and you have sub four, four wheels.
92:53It is the best possible scenario. They're going to feed you like a grinder and you're going to be able to bust long runs for touchdowns.
93:01In addition to the other touchdowns, you're going to get just by way of being inside the five all the time.
93:08It's an incredible situation. So yes, I'm very bullish on Basial Tootin.
93:11It's surprising. There was a Basial Tootin hive all summer, all spring, going all the way back to start of the dynasty off season.
93:19There was a Basial Tootin hive, but as the season played out and he clearly has found himself in a situation where
93:25his opportunity share exceeded anyone's wildest imagination, we seem to have beat the public in terms of pushing out ahead on Basial
93:32Tootin because we're like, we have the data now.
93:35We just needed a few weeks of data. The data is clear.
93:38This arrow is going up for Tootin on the opportunity share and it's all gonna, who cares whether he's scoring any fantasy points now?
93:46It's all future value. It's all happening. Get excited.
93:48I thought you all were a hive. I thought there was this Basial Tootin hive and then I haven't seen the pop.
93:55Let us know in the chat. Maybe there's some deals that can illustrate proper value on Basial Tootin, but I mean, this
94:02is the signature high running back of the season is Basial Tootin where I am paying the iron price for this guy.
94:08And you can see what I did. You can see what I did.
94:12You don't think I could pay the iron price?
94:15How about Lamar Jackson and Christian McCaffrey? And this trade happened a couple of weeks ago, but the trend was clear a
94:22couple of weeks ago where Basial Tootin was headed.
94:24And every week he just keeps increasing that opportunity share.
94:27So I was trying to get him trying to get dark.
94:31I'm always and forever will be a sucker for Josh Downs and his target share.
94:35And can you imagine my delight when I pull up this team and it has all these players and it has a 20, 27 first.
94:43And I'm like, oh my God, this is like a trade partner out of a dream.
94:48Then I hesitated because I was like, well, the team's near me in the standings.
94:52So I was like, there's no way I can't, he's not gonna.
94:56But as it turns out, you never know. And this is why you have to make these trades.
95:01And this is the exact opposite of what we complained about at the beginning of the show where I empathized greatly with this guy.
95:09I was like, I don't think he's going to even entertain an offer from me.
95:13So I better actually balance it out to make it so that he might actually want to do it.
95:19I might want to, I want to create something where it looks like an overpay.
95:23So he'll do it because he really should be rebuilding.
95:27He really has no business doing this trade. Then as it turns out, I learned later that no, he's, he's here to win.
95:33He thinks he can make a run. And I fucking love that.
95:37I respect the hell out of that because that's how I'm wired.
95:41And I'm like, you go, you go, here's McCaffrey.
95:43Here's Lamar Jackson. Go win, dude. I'm not trying to spite him in the universe.
95:48I'm not calling upon the powers of the universe to tear his team down.
95:52I don't want McCaffrey getting hurt just because it's possible based on where he is in the standings now that I get
95:59a pick in the top half of the first round that could happen.
96:03I'm perfectly fine with him making a run, making the playoffs and making some money.
96:07I want that to happen. I want these players to find a home and for him to achieve his goals with this
96:14trade, which is to turn his team around. I wish more dynasty managers would do this, but there are precious few.
96:20There are so many that are just ready to wrap it up and move on to next year.
96:26Let's wrap it up and move on to next year.
96:29You get to week five, week six, it's like four teams that want to compete.
96:34And you wonder why you can't get deals done.
96:36So this is my response to these people on, on Twitter X.
96:40Can you come back? Because a couple weeks ago I got fleeced and some things have changed with these players, especially the
96:47players on the side that I dealt away. Many of them have been hurt since some of them it's, it's essentially over Michael Pittman's done.
96:54He's an overcooked Turkey over going to zero. You won't get a thing in trade for David Montgomery at this point.
97:01You're not going to get anything. Don't even try now.
97:04Yeah, that was a few weeks ago. Things were different, but I know this is dynasty and I know I needed to
97:10get a deal done and there was risk holding on to these old assets.
97:14And so I risked my reputation. I put this out on social media.
97:18I said, Hey guys on Twitter, what do you think of this trade?
97:22Ooh, thumbs down pod father. You overpaid. You got fleeced.
97:25A mere two weeks later, crickets, crickets. No one's criticizing this trade now, but I want what's best for these players.
97:32I want him to go. I want this guy to achieve his goals with these players.
97:37I'm not, I did not like voodoo doll David Montgomery and Michael Pittman.
97:41I just want people to know that it just worked out that way.
97:45I did have a voodoo. I did though. I did.
97:48I don't, I want them to fail. I do please.
97:51You want the one-on-one you want. It's not like I, I don't need Michael Pittman on any team to produce just as
97:57soon as he stay at zero for the rest of the year.
98:01I don't have much David Montgomery. I'm fine with him being stuck at zero for the rest of the year.
98:07In fact, in this league I have where I'm battling my daughter, which I talk about on top 10 takeaways a lot.
98:14She has David Montgomery. So I really don't want David Montgomery producing at all.
98:18Anyway, but Christian McCaffrey, come on, man. We all want Christian McCaffrey to slay.
98:22We want Lamar Jackson to come back and be Lamar Jackson.
98:25I absolutely do. But I want to salute that person at the time that person got their flowers on social media because
98:32it was a strong consensus, strong majority of the polling public said that I lost that trade and I got fleeced by that guy.
98:39So that guy got his flowers. Now he has Montgomery and he has Lamar Jackson.
98:44But I have to say after all that, I'm very happy.
98:47At the time that person got their flowers on social media because it was a strong consensus, strong majority of the polling
98:54public said that I lost that trade and I got fleeced by that guy.
98:58So that guy got his flowers. Now he has Montgomery and he has Lamar Jackson.
99:03But I have to say after all that, I'm very happy.
99:06I should have gone out on that right there.
99:09That was your, that was your chance. Yeah. I didn't feel like there was enough of a flourish and I was hoping
99:15that you would come back with something else and then I could maybe build to a bigger flourish.
99:21But I also knew there was a big risk that because you and I are so good at podcasting together that you
99:28would think that that was time to go out and that you wouldn't interrupt me.
99:32And so you were like an awesome co-host right there.
99:35And in the back of my mind, I was hoping that you would be less awesome, but unfortunately you're such a good
99:42co-host that you did exactly the thing that you should have done, which is to just give dead air and let us go out.
99:49But I, I hesitated. Well, it's like when somebody hits a home run and you just let the crowd noise happen.
99:56So that's, that's what I did. Good. Was that good?
99:59I feel like I was long-winded again. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
100:02No, no, no. We didn't go out. I just hit the end screen.
100:06Oh, we're still here. No, no, no. I, I, I, no, this is what, this is what's happening.
100:11This is a live video and we're, we're live streaming right now.
100:15And I hit the wrong button. Can I tell you what's happening right now?
100:19It's 10 30 at night. My brain is melting down.
100:22I couldn't for the life of me even find that trade on my phone.
100:26It was awful. Uh, so this is, this is the outtakes we're still streaming and now officially we need to end it.
100:33So we're going to end it right now. This is the end of the stream.
100:38We're finally ending it. I hit the wrong button.
100:40I couldn't find the show. Justin's been terrific. He's laughing.
100:43We should bring in Justin right here for the, let's bring Justin in one time.
100:48I said he was muted, but he wasn't muted.
100:51So now I'm paranoid about calling him muted when he actually isn't muted, but now luckily you're on.
100:56So you can tell if he's muted or not.
100:59And it sounds like he is muted. Maybe his headset died.
101:02That's what would happen. His headset might've died. I had myself muted.
101:06Yup. Yup. Yup. It was good. It was good.
101:09We, we had a lot of man coaches throwing heaters at the quotes today.
101:13Oh my God. Trashing data centers and bringing up high school quotes, man.
101:17It's good stuff. Coach. We love you very much.
101:20Justin did a great job today. It was my fault that I didn't give you the signature trade that I wanted to cover.
101:26And then I blamed you for trolling me for not showing that trade the entire show, but it wasn't even available in the hat to pull out.
101:35So it was a lot of fun. So it's great time.
101:38For those that have been watching the show at all, the trade guide show since coach and I became the co-hosts.
101:44Do you agree with me that of all the hosts on player profilers podcast network, coach Jeremiah Retzlev is absolutely the fastest riser, most improved.
101:52I see it every time we podcast, dude, you get sharper and sharper.
101:56It's incredible. Your presentation skills, your depth of knowledge and this, the way you segue it's brilliant.
102:01Would you say I'm a good order? I'm Michael Wilson.
102:04I'm wired like Michael Wilson. I'm not Marvin Harrison.
102:07I had a coach once tell me you got to want it when it's not there.
102:12So when it's there, you'll be ready for it.
102:14At least Puka was involved. You want to put Puka, you want to put an elite, an Uber elite prospect player in the deal on my side.
102:23I respect you. You want to go load up the other side and make it ridiculous.
102:27Fine. But at least I had the choice of potentially getting the best player in the deal.
102:33And I respect that. I didn't see you go into global warming on this, but I'm here for it.
102:38We would, we would have been victory lapping that we would have been shoving that in fantasy receipts face three years from now.
102:45Times have changed back in my day. Arch Manning would have to go to the cafeteria.
102:50This receipt might go straight in the trash can, fantasy receipts, and then you can receipt the receipts.
102:56Cody sharpened here. It was like a two week period where Dave Montgomery's value went from something to nothing.
103:01What are you going to do? What are you going to do?
103:05I wouldn't even sell low on a Marion Hampton.
103:08You think I'm going to sell low on Jeremiah Love right now?
103:11Are you insane? No, it sucks. I don't know what my sister's name is right here.
103:16Let's do it in the trash can. Thank you.
