1:01Andy's the host of and owner of the Packaday podcast.
1:04And he just absolutely incredible information year round about the Packers.
1:07Andy, how are we doing today? I'm doing fantastic.
1:10Thanks as always for having me. Yeah, absolutely. It's good to see you back on the pod.
1:15I know like we were saying earlier, there's been some requests for this and, and, you know, a very interesting off season for the pack as a whole.
1:23You know, it's really looking forward to just having these, this conversation and diving in.
1:27So let's just get into it. You know, I think one of the first things that stood out for me this off
1:33season was, you know, LaFleur saying, Hey, we're going to strip everything down, start over like it's year one.
1:39And my question here was just, do you feel like this is actually happening?
1:43Have you seen change? Have you not seen change?
1:45What's your general take on this new scheme? Quote unquote.
1:48Yeah, I do think it's happening. I do think that they are pretty committed to getting this kind of back to square one.
1:55And I think the big takeaway here is just focusing on fundamentals.
1:58There were a lot of times last year and over the last few years where I'm just some concepts didn't work.
2:04And I think more importantly, players were not always on the same page.
2:08You saw some pre-snap penalties. You saw players running the wrong routes, guys colliding into each other on routes.
2:13It wasn't constant. It wasn't, you know, every play by any stretch of the imagination, but probably a bit too much of it.
2:20I think Matt just wants to kind of scale things back and kind of say, here's, here's what your responsibilities are on this specific play.
2:27Get the fundamentals of that play and sort of, you know, walk before you can run.
2:32And I think that's what we're going to see a little bit more of now, as far as in OTAs and mini camps, it's pretty impossible to tell.
2:40I mean, they're still running an offense that looks very similar to a Matt LaFleur offense.
2:44It's tough to know exactly how much they've scaled it down at what point they're going to loosen things up a little
2:50bit more and start adding more to the playbook and things like that.
2:54But it does seem to be a point of emphasis.
2:57It does seem to be something that's happening. And I think, again, the big focus here is fundamentals.
3:02Sure. I mean, if you had this, you know, obviously you have eyes on this team, you know, regularly.
3:08What, if you could just take us through maybe a couple things that, you know, you talked about like the misroutes and that kind of thing.
3:15But what, what schematically do you feel would be the biggest advantage given the personnel on this team that they weren't doing
3:21last year that they now you feel should lean into?
3:24Yeah. For schematically and from a personnel standpoint, I mean, we're, we're going to talk about this, I think a little bit
3:30as well, but just, I think they've kind of pared down the roster.
3:34I think some due to necessity, but I think some also due to the fact that there were just a ton of mouths to feed within the offense.
3:42I mean, you had a wide receiver core that was five deep and then you had Josh Jacobs, you had Tucker Craft.
3:49I mean, there was just a lot of pieces that you had to try to get involved.
3:53I mean, there was, you know, eight, nine guys, 10 guys getting involved in any given game a year ago.
3:59And it just didn't feel like the offense could ever really get into any sort of legitimate rhythm.
4:04So I think paring down the playbook a little bit, having them focused on the fundamentals, having them focused on knowing their
4:11responsibilities and why they're doing everything on that play.
4:13And also just getting it where you're probably seeing a lot of 11 personnel, Josh Jacobs at running back, Tucker Craft at
4:19tight end with Matthew Golden, Christian Watson, and Jaden Reed at wide receiver, probably Jaden Reed primarily playing in the slot.
4:25I think that's the formation and the personnel grouping that you're going to see a lot of.
4:30And then I just think too, on the offensive line, there was a lot of moving parts on the offensive line.
4:36I think they have a legitimate starting five right now, how good they are.
4:40That's going to be a huge question for this team, but I think you're going to see Jordan Morgan stay at left
4:47tackle, Aaron Banks at left guard, Sean Ryan now a full season at center, Anthony Golden full season at right guard, and
4:53of course, Zach Tom, their ace at right tackle.
4:55So just think kind of settling everything in and letting it kind of cook the way that it needs to a little
5:02bit more is also sort of what they're looking for here.
5:05Great to hear, right? I think anytime you have offensive line continuity year over year, it's a huge, you know, boost to
5:11the offense in general, regardless of your changing scheme or not.
5:14But, you know, I feel like it does almost all start with a quarterback, right?
5:19Let's talk about Jordan love here. You know, his peak season, let's call it 2023.
5:23You know, you've seen him now two years removed from that.
5:26I know the team has had injuries over that stretch to its skill position groups.
5:30I know kind of like you were talking about, there's, there were a lot of most to feed and maybe that was
5:37part of it, but what does this coaching staff and what does Jordan love need to do to get back to that 2023 form?
5:43And I guess part of that question is, do you feel it's possible for him to get back to that 2023 form?
5:50Yeah. Not only do I feel like it's possible, but I would actually say and feel pretty adamantly that Jordan love actually
5:56played better last year than he did in 2023.
5:59So for me personally, I go through when I grade every single player on every single play.
6:03I had Jordan love graded better last year than I had him graded in 2023.
6:08PFF, for instance, in 2025 had him graded in 2025 better than he did in 2023.
6:12And if you just want to go on pure statistics, yes, there were some like, you know, touchdowns weren't as many, but
6:19he had five fewer interceptions and his passer rating was one Oh one point two.
6:23It was 96.1 back in 2023. I think one of the big things here is that Matt LaFleur needs to hand the
6:29reins over a little bit more to Jordan love and let him do the heavy lifting within this offense.
6:35It felt like this was still a team that wanted to be a balanced football team and really let Josh Jacobs do a lot of the heavy lifting.
6:43And the offensive line just didn't really allow that.
6:45The run game was not what it needed to be.
6:48The run game was very inefficient and the passing game remained very efficient despite all the moving parts.
6:53Christian Watson being out to begin the year and then Jane reading out the middle of the year.
6:58Tucker craft being out at the end of the year, they never really had their full complement of weapons yet.
7:04Jordan love continued to keep it together. It was able to kind of, you know, keep the ship going other than of
7:10course, you know, end of the year when they had their five game losing streak.
7:15But you know, a lot of that was on defense and specialty.
7:18The offense wasn't flawless, but to me, Jordan has to stay healthy.
7:22We've seen the last couple of years that Malik Willis had to play in a few different games.
7:27So I think staying healthy for him, the offensive line needs to protect better.
7:31And Matt LaFleur just needs to trust Jordan a little bit more and kind of put the ball in his hands and
7:37trust him to sort of operate at the highest of levels.
7:40But no, I thought he was fantastic a season ago.
7:43His efficiency numbers were through the roof. So I think just giving him a little bit more opportunity to run with the
7:49offense, not literally run, but, you know, figuratively run the off.
7:52Sure. That's going to be what's going to be huge for Jordan loves, you know, taking that next step.
7:58You know, you said it like getting Jordan love more involved, you know, having him come in the offense.
8:03What are some things that let's talk just more specifics with that just to kind of give our listeners an idea.
8:09What are some key things that you would want to see from him when it comes to commanding that offense?
8:15Yeah, he has full command of the offense. I think Matt just needs to, you know, even just give him more opportunities, just basically just throw more.
8:23It's not even necessarily giving him anything, you know, more from like a, you know, high end quarterbacking level or anything like that.
8:29He can change plays at the line. He knows how to read defenses.
8:33He has the entire offense at his disposal. And, you know, he's obviously grown in this offense, studied under Aaron Rogers.
8:39He's, he's got pretty darn near close to PhD in Matt LaFleur system at this point in time.
8:44So that, that to me is not so much the issue.
8:47If there are things that he needs to improve upon, I do think there's times where his, and he's talked about this,
8:54this off season of continuing to work on his footwork, because he is a quarterback that can throw off platform.
8:59He has the arm talent. He doesn't have to be set.
9:03He can be fading away. And he, that's sort of his go-to.
9:06He is that like NBA player. That's going to go to the fade away jump shot.
9:11Even when he had, it doesn't have to like, it's just his comfort zone.
9:15So you'll see him kind of throwing off his back foot a ton.
9:18I think he wants to step into his throws a little bit more work on his footwork, be a little bit more consistent.
9:25The two areas where that can help is every once in a while, usually like once, maybe twice per game, you'll see
9:31a perfectly drawn up play and a wide receivers wide open.
9:34He just misses them. And sometimes that miss isn't even an incompletion.
9:38Sometimes though it's that the receiver has to stop.
9:40He has to catch it behind him, or it's just a lot more complicated than it should be.
9:45Whereas if it was in stride, the running, the running back receiver tight end, et cetera, would have to, would be able to kind of run onto it.
9:53Other times it's just a miss and it ends up being an incompletion rather than a bigger play.
9:59And then the other one is just his deep ball accuracy in 2024.
10:02Between the 23 and 24 season, you could tell he spent a ton of time on his deep ball accuracy, training camp, preseason, all of it.
10:10He looked phenomenal with the deep ball. And then he had all the injuries to start 2024.
10:15And he had three different big injuries in 2024.
10:17And it felt like he couldn't quite, you know, you know, capture that ability that he worked on all offseason.
10:23And then it didn't quite carry over into 2025.
10:25So just think him working on his footwork and the attention to detail a little bit.
10:30Some of those layups and some of those big throws, I think will come a little bit easier for him.
10:36Yeah. And hopefully this offense as a whole, you know, helps assist with that.
10:40And as we dive into this, you know, pod today, and we talk about the different areas, I'm hoping, you know, as
10:46we finish this, finish this out, the culmination of all this information.
10:49And kicks back to joining love, being able to do what you just discussed.
10:53Yeah. So let's, let's go next level with it.
10:56Let's move a little bit back in the formation and talk to this running back room.
11:01You know, obviously Josh Jacobs has had a little bit of off the field issues this off season.
11:06Um, but I think the exciting thing, at least for me is I was a big Marshawn Lloyd fan.
11:11You know, I was excited when he ended up with the Packers.
11:15I thought it was a tremendous opportunity. We obviously saw the injuries both years.
11:19It seems like he went to extreme lens, I guess we'll call it to get that remedied fixed, whatever you want to call it.
11:26He looked pretty good from the videos I've seen so far in camp and his movement, you know, and then you still
11:32have Chris Brooks in that backfield through who personally, or from what I've seen, I feel like the Packers trust as well as a whole.
11:39You know, how do you see this backfield shaping up?
11:42I got to ask, do you see there, is there any scenario that you see Jacobs not being available for week one?
11:48And if that does happen, what does the backfield look like?
11:51No, it's a heavy question. This is the biggest mystery box.
11:54I think in the entire Packers right now is the running back room.
11:58So it could be so simple. Josh Jacobs is the one Marshawn Lloyd is healthy and is the clear number to change of pace, dynamic playmaking running back.
12:06And Chris Brooks is the clear number three blitz pickup third down back.
12:10Uh, one of the best blockers on the team.
12:12And they even started to use him a little bit and like some fullback sets and OTAs and many camps as well.
12:19So this, this on paper looks really simple. Jacobs, Lloyd Brooks.
12:22It's a perfect one through three. You have everything that you want, but it's not quite that simple.
12:27The one that is, is Chris Brooks. Chris Brooks, by all accounts, they gave him a new contract this off season.
12:33He's going to be the number three is a good solid overall running back.
12:37And he's great at the blitz pickups in the past protection.
12:40I just think that's going to be far too big of a role for them to move on from.
12:46So Chris Brooks, number three running back. That one feels like the only thing that we have any sort of real consistent feel on at the moment.
12:53Sure. Marshawn Lloyd. Marshawn Lloyd has everything he needs to be that change of pace, dynamic, super fun running back.
12:59And what we have seen from him in OTAs, many camps and training camp over the last two plus years now, this is his third year.
13:06It has been unbelievable. Like there has been no player that I think in green Bay has dropped more jaws and has
13:13caused more buzz with the media on the sidelines than what Marshawn Lloyd has done when he's been out there and actually practicing.
13:19Like some of the stuff he does is really unique, really funny, super talented.
13:23He's played 10 snaps in two years because of all the injury issues that he's had.
13:28And it's been just this laundry list, even at appendicitis, like he just has been snake bit in every single imaginable way.
13:34So he spends a lot of time in the offseason figuring out going to doctors and they think they have it figured out.
13:41They think it went stemmed all the way back to his torn ACL early on in college, that he never really strengthened the way that he needed to.
13:49And, you know, kind of recovered the way it needed to.
13:52And they think they have it figured out. And he looked good in OTAs and many camps.
13:57But now the big question is going to be, can he actually be available for the season?
14:02And then Josh Jacobs off field concerns. This could be a million different things.
14:06There have been no charges that have been brought forward to Josh Jacobs as we're recording this.
14:11So this could be anything from they never bring any charges forward and nothing comes of it.
14:15It's just, it's done. It's over. You know, even in that scenario, the NFL could still look into it and they could
14:22find their own whatever and decide, hey, you know, there's going to be a six game suspension or anything like that.
14:28If there are charges brought forth, there could be a commissioner's exempt list sort of situation where until things get resolved, he's not available to the team.
14:35If things get resolved and it's not anything insanely egregious, he could still be looking at a six game suspension or he could go to jail.
14:43He could be suspended for the year. He could be done with the NFL.
14:47Any of that is within the realm of possibility.
14:49So anything from him being completely available and no issue whatsoever to never playing football again are all within the realm of possibility at the moment.
14:57So you talk about, again, a complete mystery box.
14:59We have no idea what's going to happen with Josh Jacobs.
15:03We have no idea if Marshall Lloyd can stay healthy and we feel pretty good that Chris Brooks is going to be the number three back.
15:10I will add on top of it. If Josh Jacobs is not available, I would expect them to explore the running back market.
15:17Keep an eye on Arizona, whether it be somebody like a Trey Benson, James Connor, those two plays.
15:22They signed Algier. Of course, they drafted Jeremiah Love.
15:24They probably are not going to keep both Benson and Connor.
15:27So those would be two running backs I would keep an eye on if Green Bay does have to pivot and go
15:34in a different direction if something happens with Josh Jacobs.
15:37Super interesting. I think that running back room in Arizona, everyone's keeping an eye on, right?
15:41If an injury, if there's unavailability, it seems to just be the room that makes the most sense with those four guys there.
15:48All right, let's move on and talk wide receivers.
15:50And we're going to split this into two parts, right?
15:53The two veterans that have been there in Reed and Watson.
15:56And then we'll talk about the second year guys after this.
16:00But just looking into, you know, these two guys, how do their roles evolve now that, you know, the other wide receivers are out of the room?
16:07Obviously, Dobbs in New England, Wicks in, oh my goodness, Philly?
16:10No, where? Philly. Philly, I'm actually right. It opens around 130 targets.
16:14Where do you see those targets going? Do you think that we're going to see them go to Watson and Reed?
16:20Or are we going to continue to see that spread that we're used to seeing in the Packers offense?
16:25But just honing it in, Reed and Watson, what are our expectations?
16:29Yeah, we can certainly touch base on Savion and Golden more in just a moment.
16:33But I think it's important to kind of group them into this conversation just a little bit.
16:38Because I do think there's going to be a big three in Green Bay.
16:42And I think that's going to be Reed, Watson, and Golden.
16:45I think Reed is going to be a little bit of the gadget guy, slot guy.
16:50But he's the guy that they manufacture, touch it for a little bit more.
16:54I think Christian Watson is going to be the true legitimate number one wide receiver in Green Bay.
16:59Matt LaFleur hates that terminology. He doesn't see anybody as a number one.
17:02But he's going to be the go-to wide receiver.
17:05He looked fantastic coming off of injury a season ago.
17:08He developed even more as a route runner. He's got the size.
17:11He's got the speed. His hands have been fantastic.
17:14I know he gets labeled as a drop ball guy.
17:17He's not a drop ball guy at all. He has a very high catch percentage.
17:21So he's going to be the guy in this offense by all expectations.
17:25And then again, Golden's going to be the three.
17:27There's going to be a lot of three wide receiver sets.
17:30Savion will be the four. And then you've got guys like Bo Melton, Sky Moore, and then an under-the-radar guy in Isaiah
17:37Nair that are kind of battling for those other spots.
17:40The other thing I'll add on top of that is this is a coach who loves rotating his wide receivers.
17:45And I don't see that stopping. So while I think there's going to be a true big three in Golden, Watson, and
17:52Reed, I think Savion Williams is going to get a decent amount of playing time.
17:56And whoever is that number five, whether it be Bo Melton or Sky Moore probably, I think you're going to see them
18:02get involved in the offense as well. It's just how he likes to operate.
18:06And I don't see that changing. But I do think, as we kind of talked about earlier in streamlining these weapons, that
18:12Golden, Watson, and Reed are going to be the primary three.
18:16I think we're going to see those three, Tucker Craft, and if available, Josh Jacobs, your big five.
18:21That big five has not played together yet for the Packers.
18:24And those are sort of their big five. It has not happened because you had all the injuries that happened.
18:30And all of those guys throughout the course of last season.
18:33So they have yet to play together. I think that's going to be the group that they lean on with Watson being
18:39the primary outside guy, Reed being the primary slot, Golden kind of being that number three and in a much bigger role this year.
18:46And I do expect if those guys can stay healthy, that they are going to get a much more lion's share of
18:52the targets because Romeo Dobbs and Dontavian Wicks are gone.
18:55And there is a lot more opportunity out there for them.
18:58You know, when you talk about rotate, the rotation of these guys, I mean, I think that always scares anyone from obviously a fantasy side of things, right?
19:06What, you know, you've obviously covered this team for a while with Matt before as a coach.
19:11What, what percentage do you think is up from a snap share count?
19:15Are we talking for these guys? Is it, you know, are we in the seventies?
19:19Are we in the sixties? Like how, how, I don't want to say ugly are we getting, but if you had to
19:25put a percentage on it for the, for that, those three there in that main set.
19:30Yeah. Percentages are a little bit tough, but I'll just put it this way.
19:34Right. So in the last like three years, I've told everyone to stay away from Packers wide receivers and fantasy.
19:40I said, just don't do it. There's no, there's no, cause you're going to see like, it's all going to be fool's gold.
19:46Cause one of these guys is going to go for five catches and 120 yards and two touchdowns one week.
19:52And then they might go two or three weeks in a row where they catch like one ball total.
19:57Like it's just going to be too volatile and you never know what you're going to get from it.
20:03I will say this. I think again, assuming they're all healthy and you, and you trust their health and assuming that Josh Jacobs is ready to go.
20:11I think Josh Jacobs, Tucker craft, Jaden Reed and Christian Watson are all very viable fantasy options this year.
20:16And I think even Matthew golden is going to be in that conversation as well.
20:20So I think, you know, you're going to see primarily the top three, you know, probably playing, you know, in that 70% range, kind of like you said.
20:28And then I think you'll, you'll see some saving on Williams and there's going to be injuries.
20:33Like those three top receivers have had injury issues.
20:36Savion Williams would be that number four and you'll see his target share increase, but he's probably going to be around like, you know, 40% maybe.
20:43And then, you know, you'll see sky more, Oh, Melton, those guys just kind of fill in a smattering of snaps here and there.
20:50But I feel much, much more comfortable with the top three wide receivers in green Bay being fantasy options this year than
20:56I have really in, in probably since Devante Adams is left, um, as a true top wide receiver in fantasy.
21:02I feel really, really good about the Packers wide receivers this year.
21:06That's good. Absolutely. Great take there. It's funny. We, I just last or two weeks ago was talking about Matt Perino, um, who covers the bills.
21:13And we were talking about, you know, the addition of more coming into that team.
21:17And Joe Brady flat out told him in an interview, he's like, you know, there's going to be people who are disappointed
21:24because more is going to have four for 40.
21:26And he's this number, he's our number one, but then Shakir might have six for 90.
21:31He's like, it's about the offense as a whole.
21:33And it sounds like that's been kind of the way green Bay has been right over the, over the last few years.
21:40So it's interesting to see what could be again, if everyone's healthy, if things are clicking.
21:44So at least from a fantasy standpoint, it sounds like there's maybe some hope, you know, that it, things could be slightly
21:50better this year from a picking the right guy standpoint.
21:53If not draft your Packers and best ball and call it a day, right?
21:57Exactly. Um, all right, let's get into the year two guys, right?
22:01You, you talked a little bit about, um, Matthew golden and Sivion Williams.
22:04How do you see them specifically playing in this offense kind of role wise?
22:08You know, you mentioned golden being in those, that three wide receiver set.
22:12You know, I think a lot of people in general expect him to ascend and, you know, be, have that more prominent
22:18role, have a larger target share, be more part of the offense.
22:22Curious your take on what that actually will look like for him.
22:25And then what is Williams in general need to do to become a larger part of this offense?
22:30You know, we know he has versatility to line up, you know, in the backfield and take those jet sweeps.
22:36And we saw some of that, which is always intriguing, but let's just dive in a little bit deeper to golden and
22:42Sivion Williams and what your general thoughts on them this year.

24:21They are here to help. Yeah, as mentioned, I think Golden's going to be that number three.
24:25And you're just going to see a lot of time.
24:28He's a starter. They're going to go with a lot of 11 personnel, three wide receiver sets.
24:33So he's going to be a starter in this offense.
24:36And I think everybody, and certainly myself included, expects him to take a significant jump.
24:40We sort of saw a sneak preview in that Bears playoff game at the end of the year where he had a fantastic game against Chicago.
24:48His run after the catch is there. His hands are fantastic.
24:51He knows how to win deep. He's super fast.
24:53And his route running is really good. The one thing last year, as you could tell, he had the rookie eyes where
25:00just everything was like he was thinking the entire time.
25:03He ran wrong routes. They couldn't always trust him to be in the right spot at the right time.
25:08Those were issues from it. It seems like that stuff is behind him, that he has a much better understanding of the
25:14offense, that all those kind of rookie battles are no longer there.
25:18And he's just playing. And I think that's going to be a huge change for Matthew Golden and just being able to
25:24go out there and use all of his raw talent to its fullest extent.
25:28And I even thought, for me, he graded very high when he was out there, other than some of those route running mistakes and things like that.
25:36He had a couple plays early in the year where he should have won, had like 80-yard touchdowns.
25:41But Jordan, unfortunately, just missed him on a couple of those plays.
25:44I think his season looks a lot different if Jordan just hits him on a couple of those.
25:50He is super talented. He's going to take a big jump.
25:53I feel really, really confident in that. And as far as Savion Williams goes, Jordan Love brought him up specifically.
25:58He was asked something to the extent of like, what playmaker on offense is not getting talked about enough?
26:04And is somebody that you've maybe seen something from?
26:06And he brought up Savion Williams. Basically, he's saying he just needs more reps and that all the talent is there, everything that he needs.
26:14The one thing I'll add on top of that for Savion Williams is a lot of people, when they cover the draft,
26:20myself included, for those of us that are trying to get as many prospects in as we can up until the draft
26:26time and just get a feel for them, 99% of the draft experts or the people that are going and watching the
26:32tape are watching the most recent season. Because if you're going to all of a sudden get into previous seasons for all
26:39these guys, you're going to get to like 50 guys instead of trying to get to 100 or 200 or however many you want to get to.
26:46So, so many people watched Savion Williams' 2024 tape when he was a rookie in 2025.
26:51And in 2024, they used him as a gadget guy to the extreme, even at quarterback, wildcat, everything, because they didn't have
26:57a quarterback to get him the ball. But if you go back to 24 and 23, when they actually used him as
27:04a legitimate wide receiver and not just a gadget guy, he was phenomenal, making huge plays down the field.
27:09Just some of the spectacular catches that he had.
27:12It was really remarkable to see him really operate at a very high level as a true, legitimate like deep ball and just possession wide receiver.
27:19He looked awesome. So he has that in his game.
27:22In fact, I like that version of his game better than the gadgety sort of wildcard sort of guy or wildcat sort of guy.
27:29So I think you're going to see him develop as much more of a true wide receiver.
27:34And as Jordan Love mentioned, just getting those reps, being more involved in the offense, he's going to be the number four.
27:40There's going to be games where either Golden or Reed or Watson misses where he's in the top three, and he's going
27:46to get a decent amount of playing time. So developmental guy, probably not somebody you're taking right now as a legitimate fantasy option.
27:53But keep an eye on him. If Watson, Reed or Golden go down for any period of time, he's going to probably
27:59be that, you know, in that top three of wide receivers, potentially becomes a legitimate, you know, fantasy option at that point.
28:05Certainly somebody to kind of keep an eye on in more of like a deeper dynasty league sort of thing.
28:11Sure. I mean, I think to your point, the ability of Savion Williams is the most intriguing part, right?
28:17And, you know, kind of perfect segue into the tight end room here, because I feel like we've talked about Luke Musgrave
28:23and him being this, you know, kind of down the field stretcher, this potential to shake the offense.
28:28He's this offensive weapon. But again, hasn't stayed healthy.
28:31Hasn't really seen that transpire. I mean, I from camp reports this year, I feel like from what I read, he never really stood out.
28:38And please correct me if I'm wrong, if he did have amazing days that we just didn't know about.
28:43But you have hopefully have Tucker Craft coming back 100% from his ACL tier.
28:47You know, you have Josh Wiley who's in this tight end room as well.
28:51And honestly, someone I thought was really underrated during his time in Tennessee.
28:55You know, take us through this tight end room.
28:57Tell us what you think the plans are for each guy.
29:01We talked about, or you already talked about Kraft being in that kind of core set.
29:05Um, you know, and he was spectacular when healthy.
29:08So take this wherever you want to go tight end room wise, but let's touch base on each of them and kind of get your thoughts.
29:15Yeah. The biggest thing is Tucker Craft sounds like he's going to be ready to go week one and there may not
29:21even be a snap count for him. He has made incredible progress.
29:25It's one thing to like, you see all the videos of him running and sprinting and doing all this stuff.
29:31That's great. Sometimes that can be a little bit of like fool's gold.
29:34You don't know for sure. Uh, but not only does it look incredible and does he look ahead of schedule, but he's
29:41talked about how incredible he feels and that, you know, he's at a schedule and that he's ready for week one.
29:47Matt LaFleur has talked about it. Like everybody's pretty amazed at the progress that he's made coming off the ACL.
29:52He looks like Tucker. You know, he hasn't practiced obviously, but like he, the way he's even running and it just, it's
29:59very, very much looks like Tucker Craft. So it seems like he's going to be in a great spot going into the
30:05season and being ready for week one. Um, as far as the number two tight end spot goes, that's a little bit more interesting.
30:12As you mentioned, Luke Musgrave had opportunities with Tucker Craft out last year.
30:15I don't think he made the most of them.
30:18And he and Josh Wiley by the end of the year, we're kind of, you know, rotating back and forth.
30:24Even Drake Dabney was getting some playing time. So, uh, he did not like solidify his spot.
30:29Uh, he looked okay at times in OTs and mini camps, but I would actually say, I thought Josh Wiley outperformed him.
30:35And then Musgrave went down with an injury. It doesn't sound like it's anything serious, but at the end of mini camp as well.
30:42So, um, keep an eye on Josh Wiley. Uh, he had a, like I mentioned, a very nice OT and mini camp.
30:48Uh, there's a world in which Wiley wins the number two tight end spot.
30:52Um, I don't think either Wiley or Musgrave are really fantasy options at this point, but, um, if you're really desperate and
30:58need, you know, somebody that's a number two tight end, um, even that's up for grabs because Musgrave and Wiley probably split snaps a little bit.
31:06There's not anybody else really on the roster at the moment.
31:09That's really pushing for a spot. They just picked up a tight end off of waivers, uh, Luke Lachey, um, from the Houston Texans.
31:16But other than that, um, there, there's not a ton else that's like pressing for playing time.
31:21So keep an eye on Josh Wiley, Luke Musgrave as they, you know, kind of battle it out for that number two spot.
31:27Ah, excellent insight there. All right. Let's finish it up.
31:30Andy would just giving you a sandbox, right? Tell us something we need to know about this offense might not be immediately
31:36obvious, might be obvious can go positive, negative, any direction you want to take this.
31:41What, what do we need to know about this Packers offense?
31:44Yeah. It's all going to come down to the offensive line.
31:47Um, so the, the quarterback is when he's protected has been like MVP level quarterback when protected, uh, the wide receivers, I
31:53think Watson Reed and golden are going to tear it up.
31:56If Jordan love has time, Tucker craft looked like one of the best tight ends in football prior to the injury.
32:02And assuming Josh Jacobs is good to go in Marshawn Lloyd is healthy.
32:06That one, two punch has the ability to be one of the best one, two punches at running back.
32:12In my opinion, in the NFL, there's a lot of ifs there, but if they can, you know, be out there, I do think they can be.
32:19It all comes down to, can this offensive line actually run block enough so that the running backs can actually get something going.
32:26You can set up play action and can they pass protect for Jordan love enough?
32:30Jordan Morgan is moving to left tackle and that's good.
32:33It's his natural position coming out of college, but he's got to prove that he can hold down the blind side for
32:39Jordan love Aaron banks last year when he was healthy, he looked good when he was not healthy.
32:44He looked bad. He's already got a little bit of an injury issue coming up at OTAs and mini camp.
32:50So something to keep an eye on there. Sean Ryan's making that full transition to center.
32:55His second year making that transition. I know he played it at the end of last year, but really still making that transition to right guard.
33:02And then Zach Tom's coming off a pretty significant injury and what level he can play to is going to be really important as well.
33:09So to me, the entire offense, if that offensive line is a top 10 offensive line, I think this is a top three offense in the NFL.
33:17If they perform league average, they're probably around a top 10, you know, offense in the NFL.
33:22And if they're below average, it's going to be disappointing because I think Jordan love is not really going to be able to get in that rhythm.
33:30And I think the running game is going to have another struggle like they did a season ago.
33:35So this all comes down to me to the offensive line and what they can do this upcoming season.
33:40I feel like the game is always one in the trenches, right?
