0:52It is First Class Fantasy. I'm your host, Pete Nova, joined by Wyatt Bertalone.
0:57And today, we are going to talk about the three worst offenses in fantasy football for 2026.
1:03Thank you folks for joining us today here on Player Profiler.
1:06We are on the main channel. That is right.
1:09Me and Wyatt have done a lot of Dynasty content this offseason.
1:13Now we are shifting our focus a little bit here to the redraft side of things to project the NFL season for
1:20this year for the now, not rookie picks next year.
1:24Nothing like that. We are talking this season, 2026, ahead of camp.
1:28We are talking about three offenses, Wyatt, that we think are probably going to be the worst offenses for fantasy football.
1:35I am going to tell the viewers which offenses we are going to talk about today.
1:40Yeah, so on the docket, we have got the Titans, the Dolphins, and the Cardinals.
1:45And these are three teams that, you know, low projected win totals.
1:49Teams we are really worried about. There could be a lot of problems here.
1:53That does not necessarily mean that there is no hope for all the players on some of these offenses.
2:00But I am sure we will get into that.
2:03Yeah, and which offense do you want to start with first?
2:06I want to start with the Dolphins because I actually think this is the team that has two of the better assets possibly for fantasy football.
2:15I mean, one is really obvious in that Devon Chan.
2:18I mean, he is fantastic. He has been fantastic.
2:21We know that. The concern now is just this team could be absolutely dreadful.
2:26And he now is a quarterback who probably is not going to pass to him as much as his previous quarterback did.
2:33The hope for a Chan is that he's just so darn good that he can rip off big plays despite the offense, despite the team.
2:41And or still catch enough passes because this team is kind of devoid of passing catching talent.
2:47Like, would it surprise anybody if Devon Chan leads this team in targets?
2:51I don't think it would be surprising at all.
2:54That's his path, basically. And, you know, he's cheaper than he has been in the past because of this.
3:00You know, he's in the second round of drafts right now.
3:04Sometimes you can see him fall deep into the second round.
3:08I don't know about you, Pete. It's hard for me to avoid Chan once he starts falling deep into the second round
3:15because of who he is as a player. Yeah.
3:18It's just, you know, at a certain point, you just bet on the talent.
3:23And then there's Malik Willis, who is going to be a really good Russian QB.
3:27We know that about him. About him. We have very small samples of him in recent years.
3:33He's been very good in those small samples. But he's going to a way different situation.
3:38You know, playing on the Packers before, he's playing in a great offense, great weapons, great coaching.
3:44We don't know he has any of that with Miami.
3:47So it's really hard to move those small sample sizes over to Miami.
3:52But he may run enough that it doesn't matter.
3:55You know, we know this about Russian QBs. He could be a bad passer and get there for fantasy just because he runs enough.
4:02But I will say something that people get confused about Russian QBs is they think that that is what determines their ceiling.
4:10And what really rushing for a QB is the floor for a QB.
4:14It's the QBs who have the passing and the rushing built together that are the high-end fantasy QBs.
4:20When a QB really only has rushing, they either have to have a historic rushing season to actually give you top five
4:27potential, or they have to develop their passing game so they can keep the offense on the field consistently to help them score fantasy points.
4:35We only really have, like, Justin Fields giving us a really high-end fantasy QB season where he had a historic rushing season.
4:43He ran 1,200 yards. You know, unless you think Malik Willis is doing that, you have to understand that his ceiling, he
4:50could be top 12, but he's not going to be top five.
4:54Yeah, and let's just take a step back and just talk about the offense here really quick.
5:00You know, it's Bobby Slowick who comes over. You know, he was actually on this team last year, but he was not the offensive coordinator, right?
5:08And then prior to that, he was with the Houston Texans, right, for two years.
5:13Bobby Slowick is interesting because he kind of gets that, like, Shanahan bump because he came from the 49ers, but he never called plays for the 49ers.
5:22Then he obviously went over to the Houston Texans.
5:25And, you know, they saw success his first year, and then obviously in the next year it was not so successful, right?
5:32And so Slowick is interesting because when you just look at, you know, what he's done, he honestly has had more of a receiver-centric offense.
5:40And that's where this really gets tough because when you just look at the target share, you know, his target shares for
5:48the skilled players typically sit somewhere around, like, I think around 60.
5:52I think I have it here. He had a 59% pass rate during his time with the Texans, and he's sitting at,
5:59like, somewhere around, like, a 65-ish, 66-ish, I think, with target share to wide receivers.
6:04And it's tough because when we look at these wide receivers, it's like, does Bobby Slowick change things up a little bit
6:11because he doesn't really have the guys to kind of have that offense where they're throwing 59% of the time wide?
6:18I mean, I don't know. When I looked at the offense and I projected it, I brought it down to 57% pass
6:25rate because we expect them to be playing from behind.
6:29And so that means a 43% rush rate. But I had this offense scoring 32 touchdowns this year.
6:35So it is – it's brutal. I mean, maybe there's some hope.
6:39Maybe Stephon Diggs becomes his free agent signing. Maybe Debo Samuel, one of these guys, comes in and maybe gives us a little bit of a facelift.
6:47But you talked about Stephon H.A., right? And we talked about him, you know, possibly leading the team in targets, and that's exactly what I have.
6:56I have him at 86.2 targets, and I know people bring up Malik Willis doesn't check the ball down as much.
7:03That's what he seems historically. But something's got to give here, Wyatt.
7:07I mean, wide receivers are terrible. I mean, he's throwing to Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert, Chris Bell, Chuchu Atwell, Caleb Douglas, Kevin Coleman Jr.
7:15I mean, that's it. That is the group here.
7:18And that's not that crazy. I mean, he had a 19% target share last year.
7:23I don't think he's going to have – I didn't think he was going to have the same target share that he
7:30had last year because I think it was going to be a slight downtick because of just – because of Malik Willis' style.
7:38But at the same time, Wyatt, like, it's hard to not assume he's going to catch passes in this offense just because
7:45of the scarcity between the rest of the still position players on the team.
7:49So I'm kind of with you with A-Chain. He sits at a 15.8 ADP.
7:54We talk about Malik Willis, Wyatt. I have him projected at 16.3 fantasy points per game.
7:59I think that's pretty fair. I think that accounts for he'll have some spike weeks probably in the 20s, low 20s, because of maybe the rushing upside.
8:08And then he's probably going to have some stinkers where this offense is just going to suck.
8:14I mean, you can't – with the way this offense is set up, Wyatt, it's just – there's no way you can
8:21run hot with your legs and make all these plays if you're Malik Willis with zero help around him.
8:27So I think 16.5 is fair because I think we expect there will be some games where he probably doesn't have a single touchdown.
8:35And then what is the output? It will be interesting to see what Bobby Sloak does with this offense.
8:42He talked about what he did with Houston. And a lot of what he did in Houston was built around play action
8:49and extra protection to rip deep shots and these deep in-cuts with Nico Collins and Tank Dell.
8:54I think that actually does make a good amount of sense for Malik Willis because a lot of play action has the
9:02quarterback on the move a little bit, and that's great for Malik Willis.
9:06We know he's good on the move, and he can always just tuck the ball and run with it when he's in those scenarios.
9:14And he also has a beautiful deep ball. He has a fantastic arm.
9:18Like, coming out of college, it was accuracy-wise was pretty rough, but you can tell he's really worked on that during his
9:25time in the NFL, and you can really hit some of those shots down the field.
9:31So in theory, it makes some sense. But as you brought up with, like, the pass catchers, and I kind of brought
9:38up before, like, yeah, but who's he doing it with?
9:41You know, like, and it's tough to imagine this team.
9:45And it's like their best wide receiver currently is probably Malik Washington, and he is a very close-to-the-line scrimmage player, which doesn't
9:52fit with what Bobby Slovic did in Houston. So it'll be interesting to see how he works in.
9:58You know, I think, you know, all these pass catchers are pretty terrible.
10:02And when that's the case, and you could think, like, well, it wouldn't surprise me if any of them ascend amongst the
10:09others or if it's kind of just spread out.
10:12And if that's the case, it does make me interested in Greg Dulcich a little bit because they're all extremely cheap.
10:19All the pass catchers are extremely cheap. Like, if you're looking at, like, underdog right now, I think Malik Washington is the
10:26first one drafted, and I believe he goes in the 170s, 180, right around there.
10:31183 for Malik Washington. There you go. So, I mean, these are last pick of your redraft team type players, very late in basketball type players.
10:40If you can find a reasonable tight end out of Greg Dulcich that late in the draft, which is possible just because
10:47he could be one of the leading pass catchers, even if that's a 15% target share, like, when it's that late in the draft, that can be valuable.
10:56Yeah, and then Dulcich is an interesting case. I have him at a 20% red zone target share, so I have him projected somewhere on, like, three touchdowns.
11:06I have him projected at 80 targets, which doesn't feel right because I don't project injuries, but Dulcich has had issues staying healthy too.
11:14That was his bugaboo in Denver. I mean, he couldn't stay healthy.
11:18And then there's just the inconsistency with his hands.
11:21Malik Willis, do you have a points per game projection for him just yet, or are you still working your numbers on him?
11:28Like I said, I have him at 16.8. Yeah, I got you.
11:32Yeah, in four-point passing touchdown leagues, I have him at 16.3.
11:36So we are very close on that. But I think we're both showing, you know, that, yeah, he's going to run, but
11:43this offense is terrible, and I don't have full confidence in how good of a passer he was in Green Bay automatically coming over to Miami.
11:52Like, I don't – I mean, like, I still am as, like, an okay, you know, passer, but also, like, this is
11:59probably going to be a very low-volume passing offense and very low play volume.
12:03You know, if I was still looking at a slow offense in Houston, I don't think that's necessarily going to speed up with Miami.
12:11And I imagine they want to run the football because that's where their strength is.
12:16So how many plays per game are they really going to have?
12:20I mean, that's part of my projection too on these teams, that I have them for pretty low plays per game as part of my projection.
12:29Yeah, I had him at – plays per game I had at, like, 58.3, which is, like, right there at the bottom of the league.
12:37Right? It's, like, it's right there at the bottom.
12:40But all right, so if you were going to take a chance on one of these wide receivers, who would it be for you if you had to?
12:49Yeah, it depends on the format a little bit.
12:52In best ball where you have no free agency wire or waiver wire to be a backup, I'm more interested in Malik
13:00Washington because I think he's going to have a role.
13:03You know, if we're talking about Jeff's wide receivers, I believe he will, throughout the season, be a part of the game plan.
13:10You know, if we're talking about managed leagues, I'm much more interested in Chris Bell, especially if there's an IR spot.
13:17You know, in managed, Malik Washington scoring eight PPR points per game does nothing for me.
13:23You know, in best ball, like, sometimes you need those weeks just because, you know, you have injuries on the team.
13:30There's nothing you can do about it because you don't have the waiver wire.
13:34In managed, you have a waiver wire. Like, you can find eight points per game on the wire, you know, every week.
13:41So I'll take the player who has the better theoretical ceiling and see what happens.
13:46And again, especially if I have an IR spot.
13:49Yeah, I mean, that's fair. I have Chris Bell at a 17% red zone target share.
13:55If he's healthy, I think he's going to be a guy that they have to use in the red zone.
14:01So I think that's fair. I have been projected at Bell at seven points.
14:06But this is just how projections go. I mean, you know, it's unfortunate, but it's just, you know, if I'm splitting the
14:13pie up, I got to come together to some sort of consensus.
14:17But let's go ahead and move over to our next team here really quick.
14:22But before we do so, we're going to take a quick break and we'll be right back.
14:27You know, the original player profile was just my podcasting tool that I made available to the public so that you could
14:35follow along and look up the stats while I'm looking them up and talking about them on the show.
14:41Then you're asking, well, I want to dominate my drafts.
14:44I want to know what you know about Josh Downs and Trey Harris and Jalen Coker.
14:49So that's why we have the world famous draft kit.
14:53The key team insights, the player breakdowns, and the key stats that you need to know, like vacated targets, vacated touches, all
15:00there available to you with cheat sheets for every format and interactive drafting.
15:04As you draft, the players fly off the board.
15:07And this year, for the first time, I am publishing my personal draft cheat sheet during draft season, as well as Bradley's.
15:14And when you sign up for the all-in package, you get $25 off with Code Podfather.
15:20Code Podfather, $25 off. The world famous draft kit is now live.
15:24It is ready. It is complete. So go grab it and dominate your drafts.
15:28Listen to the heartbeat. Chevrolet is called the heartbeat of America for a reason.

15:50Chevrolet. Together, let's drive. Are all batteries the same?
15:53That's like asking if all soccer players are the same.
15:56Take Messi, the most decorated player ever. Is there any other player who has achieved that?
16:01No, just him. Now take Duracell. Is there any other battery with power boost ingredients inside?
16:07No, just Duracell. Remember, goats only trust goats. Because they're built different.
16:11And Messi only trusts Duracell. All right, folks. We are back here on First Class Fantasy.
16:16If you are not subscribed already, make sure you do so on the YouTube side.
16:21If you're on the audio side, make sure you give us a thumbs up.
16:25Let us know how we're doing. Give us some feedback.
16:29Give us some stars. You know, whatever you do over there.
16:32But, Wyatt, let's go ahead and move over to our next offense.
16:36And why don't we get to probably the more, I guess, exciting offense.
16:41It's the Arizona Cardinals. I say exciting, Wyatt, because this is an offense that probably has the most appealing players name value-wise
16:48of all these offenses that we're going to talk about today.
16:51To set the stage with Arizona, right? I mean, they have, you know, Mike LaFleur is now in town.
16:58Mike LaFleur comes over, obviously, from the Shanahan tree.
17:01You know, he was with all those coaches in Washington when they were all there under Mike Shanahan, right?
17:07And he was a part of that. And then he branched off.
17:11And they all started kind of going their own ways.
17:14He comes over now. And now he's the head coach.
17:17It was kind of a surprise. He came out of nowhere.
17:21Now he's coaching and calling the place here for Arizona.
17:24And they obviously bring in Jeremiah Love. And Jacoby Brissett, we think, is going to be the starter.
17:30But it's still kind of up in the air because he's still kind of in that dispute.
17:36But there was a photo that just went out that showed him training with the guys.
17:41I'm sure they're going to figure it out. But let's set the stage about this offense, Wyatt.
17:47Do you have projections on, you know, total points for the offense?
17:51Where does the offense land in total touchdowns? You know, what are your projections in general before we get into the players?
17:58Yeah, I have them scoring just under 40 touchdowns for the season.
18:02Okay. This is actually a pretty simple conversation for me because obviously the Cardinals have some really talented weapons.
18:08You know, Trey McBride, one of if not the best tight end in football.
18:13Jeremy Love is a really exciting prospect. Marvin Harrison Jr.
18:16has disappointed compared to expectations, but he's a good wide receiver.
18:20Michael Wilson just showed everybody that he's a good wide receiver in the NFL.
18:24Jacoby Brissett, like you said, I think that will get figured out.
18:28The problem is, is that all these weapons are being drafted aggressively because of what they did last year, which was a
18:36magical circumstance in which they threw caution to the wind as their defense was awful.
18:41They were immediately in garbage time and they let Jacoby Brissett go out there and throw 50 times a game.
18:47That is highly unlikely to happen. Then there's a decent chance that Carson Beck is starting games at the end of the
18:54season and possibly even half the season, depending on how bad things go.
18:59And they just want to see what they have.
19:02How about you? I think Carson Beck is pretty bad.
19:05I think a lot of people think that Carson Beck is pretty bad.
19:09The Cardinals obviously didn't quite think he was terrible to take him in the third round, but that really worries me for
19:17all the weapons, especially considering that he is more likely to start during fantasy playoffs than at any other time.
19:23And he could just crater that offense when it matters the most for all of us.
19:28So when you're drafting these players, you're playing a pretty penny to get them on your team.
19:34And there's a chance that it all goes away pretty early, halfway through the season even.
19:39So that makes me really concerned about the offense, about the players.
19:43Yeah, I get that. I have them projected at, I want to say, 30.
19:48I mean, it's not high. I have them at 34.6 touchdowns this year.
19:52Like you said, I think the interchanging of the quarterbacks is going to be kind of messy.
19:58I do think they're going to give Carson Beck a look at some point.
20:02And the truth is, their schedule is terrible. I mean, they have a gauntlet of a schedule, Wyatt, where it's hard to
20:10find more than three games that you can say, hey, they can win this game.
20:15It's like the Jets are like the only game off the top of my head that I can think of that I
20:22sit there and say, like, hey, that's a winnable game for them.
20:26It's brutal. On one hand, you hope that they're playing from behind and they're airing it out.
20:31But I also just don't know what it means for a guy like Jeremiah Love, who I love the talent Jeremiah Love.
20:39Right now he goes at 25.8. So he's right there on the 2-3 turn.
20:43A lot of times he's sneaking into the late, late second round.
20:47And I expect people, as they get more excited just about fantasy football and guys start hearing names like we've seen with
20:55rookies over the past couple of years. I mean, Ashen Jenty last year was going at the 1-2 turn on a terrible Raiders team.
21:02We saw this offense last year for, you know, the Cardinals still put up points.
21:07I mean, they weren't good, but they were playing from behind a lot.
21:12So I think Jeremiah Love's price goes into that second round.
21:15He's right on the cusp of it at 25 on the ADP.
21:19I think he definitely settles into the second round, probably like that late last three picks in the second round.
21:26Because running backs are just getting pushed up a ton this year.
21:30And I just can't stomach taking him. I love the talent.
21:33I just, I'm not, I'm just not there yet.
21:36I do think that there's going to be some sort of split.
21:40You don't draft a running back that high. I get it to give him a split.
21:46But, I mean, there's already, he's already talking about, you know, he finally is going to get, you know, it's a team game.
21:53And, you know, from college days to now, like, this guy's in the room.
21:58And it just worries me. I don't think James Conner's just going to go away either.
22:03I look at it as a situation where Love is still going to be very good to solid this year.
22:10But I do think he'll get vultured. And I do think you're really, really going to hope that he catches passes in
22:17garbage time to really bring, kind of like the Von A-chain, actually, last year in some ways.
22:23Where there were just times where he did nothing and then he would just have, like, in garbage time, two minutes until he catches, like, five passes.
22:32Like, that's how I see Love kind of getting there, raising that floor.
22:36But the ceiling, I just don't see it there where I do see other players in his range that I'd want to take a chance on.
22:44That I do think have top five potential. Like, that's kind of my concern there.
22:49Do you share similar concerns about Love and his price point?
22:53Or are you kind of just like, hey, you know, talent, I don't really care.
22:58I'm just in love with the talent. And I'm willing to take the chance.
23:03With the main skill players for Arizona, all of them, I want to have some exposure to them, like in best ball
23:10run drafting a lot of teams, because they are so talented.
23:13You know, like, I don't want to have zero of players like that.
23:18But, yeah, I'm worried about what the ceiling is.
23:21Like, how often will this team be in the red zone?
23:24And when they're in the red zone, is it Jeremiah Love or Tyler Algier?
23:29I don't know yet. I think it's going to be Love.
23:33I was talking about James Conner, but yeah. Yeah, I mean, this is a new coaching staff, so we don't know that
23:40they're going to have Tyler Algier do the same thing to Love that he did to B.
23:45John Robinson. But it's a possibility, because we've seen him do it before, because he's good at that stuff, you know?
23:52So, yeah, there are real ceiling concerns for everybody in the offense.
23:56And that's why, you know, the prices are aggressive.
23:59Yeah. Prices are aggressive. Trey McBride, I don't need to get into him too much, at least from my point of view.
24:07I just, I have a philosophy. McBride's going at like 20.
24:10I just have a philosophy, Wyatt, that I just don't take tight ends high.
24:15I really just don't. I'm not going to have much Colson Lovell in this year.
24:20I just can't really stomach taking McBride. And like, he'll probably settle in at that 2-3 turn.
24:25Maybe in some leagues, probably that early third. But I'm just not really, I'm not going to spend up on him.
24:32I love him. He's a great player. I have him projected somewhere around 15 points.
24:37So, I understand. But there's just so much value at tight end this year that I just don't see myself taking much of him.
24:45Especially with how many running backs get drafted high too.
24:48I don't want to start behind because I'm drafting a tight end high.
24:53When we've seen so many come out of nowhere and have solid seasons.
24:57Yeah, I don't personally have an issue with drafting tight ends really highly.
25:01I want to have some exposure to McBride. I want to have some exposure to Bowers.
25:07I want some exposure to Loveland. But this is a year where I feel really comfortable with a lot of different tight ends at different price points.
25:15So, I'm not going to have that much of Bowers or McBride.
25:19I'm going to have a little bit of exposure.
25:22But I'm not going to overweight on either of them.
25:26Yeah. Let's talk a little bit about the wide receivers here.
25:29Marvin Harrison Jr., obviously the fall from grace has been pretty steep.
25:33Marv sitting here. And let's see. Marvin Harrison Jr.
25:36I was trying to flip to add it onto the stage, Wyatt.
25:40But I don't remember which one of the presets.
25:43So, you may have to try that. There you go.
25:47Marvin Harrison Jr., ADP 72. I mean, that's a really, really affordable price for Marvin Harrison Jr.
25:52Michael Wilson, if you look at his price point, I believe he's even farther back.
25:57Michael Wilson is at 90.2. I'm intrigued, I guess, somewhat.
26:00But I still – I'm still probably not going to have too, too much.
26:05If you're telling me Michael Wilson is my wide receiver four, okay.
26:09I can take that. I can live with that.
26:12Same with Marv. Even if Marvin's your wide receiver three, you can probably live with that, too, Wyatt.
26:18Especially if you have two really good wide receivers in front of him.
26:22So, the price point's interesting here. What are your thoughts on the wide receivers?
26:27Yeah, I'm pretty much just aligned with you. So, it's hard to love the prices for either of them because of how crowded the offense is.
26:35And like we were talking about, that we don't think that this offense is going to be the same magical Christmas land
26:43that it was last year for fancy points. But, you know, if Marvin Harrison Jr.
26:48is my wide receiver three, that feels okay. Same, like you said, Michael Wilson, wide receiver four, that feels okay.
26:54But I don't want these players to be ones that I'm relying on too much.
26:59Yeah, and honestly, like Marv goes right ahead of a guy like Parker Washington.
27:04And I know Parker Washington feels like the hot name.
27:07So, I hate to be the guy that's like pounding him and talking about him because it feels like he's just everyone's breakout.
27:15But forgetting about the noise and the steam, you know, Parker Washington goes one spot behind Marv.
27:20And I'd rather take a chance on Parker. I think it'll be a much better offense.
27:25I think the volume will be there. And so, that's just a kind of – when you're looking at the area, Carnell
27:33Tate, we talked about Carnell Tate already, Wyatt. Carnell Tate goes 67.8.
27:37Marvin Harrison Jr. goes 72.6. We talked about both guys now.
27:40I mean, who do you prefer if you're on the clock?
27:44Who would you take today if it was up to you?
27:48I'm taking Carnell Tate because there's really no target – well, there is a little bit of target competition.
27:54But it's a very different type of target competition between the two.
27:58And also, you know, I think that Cam Ward is the best quarterback between the teams.
28:03You know, he rarely had a chance to be able to show that last year.
28:08But I think we could see a little bit different in 2026.
28:12Yeah. I'm actually with you. I would take Carnell Tate as well.
28:16Let's go ahead and move over to our final team here, Wyatt.
28:20And it is going to be – so we talked about the Cardinals already.
28:25We talked about the Miami Dolphins. Dolphins. It is interesting because – and it's not like it's a big surprise here who
28:32we're talking about because we already kind of labeled it before the show started.
28:36But I do find it funny – wait, this was our last team.
28:41This was our last team. My head's all over the place.
28:44I don't know why I just said that. Why did I just say we had another team?
28:50We haven't talked about the Titans yet. We didn't talk about the Titans yet.
28:55But, dude, oh my gosh. I'm sweating over here right now.
28:58So this is a little out of character. But I think we – you know what's funny?
29:04For the viewers, we talked so much about the Titans before we came on that I just assumed that we talked about them already.
29:12That's why when I say we talked about Carnell Tate and we talked about more, we've already talked about both these guys.
29:19All right. Well, let's go ahead and move over to the Titans as the final team here.
29:25And Titans, when you look at just their overall projection for the year, I have them projected at 36.1 touchdowns this year.
29:32I have them at a pass rate of a 55.6.
29:35That makes a run rate of 44.4. Where are you at with the Titans touchdowns-wise?
29:40What are your expectations overall before we get into the offense?
29:44Yeah, I have them scoring 38.5 touchdowns for the season, passing a 56% rate.
29:48Another team that low plays per game. We'll see if they're able to pick up the pace or not.
29:55Another team I expect to try to run more if they can, but a team that might not be able to because
30:02they could easily be behind in games. It's not the best environment.
30:06You know, there's not a lot of talent on the team as a whole, which is rough.
30:11The coaching is obviously better now than it was last year.
30:15This is one thing that we were talking about before the show is that, like, Brian Dayball, you know, I think he's a good offensive coach.
30:24But I think he's a floor raiser for an offense.
30:27But I don't think, like, he brings that high of a ceiling to an offense, you know?
30:33You think he's the Mike McCarthy, just younger. Atlanta, a little steep.
30:36He did lose a little bit of weight. Yeah, a little bit.
30:40Yeah, where, like, yeah, when he has a really good quarterback, his offenses look really good.
30:46Yeah. And when he doesn't, his offenses can look good, you know, because he can put together a solid offense.
30:52But, you know, like, what he did with Daniel Jones was impressive.
30:56But, like, was that offense top of the line?
30:59No, like, not at all. You know, they just, he maximized the talent he had, but he didn't turn into something it wasn't, you know?
31:07Right. So, it definitely helps the offense. But I don't think, like, we're going to see, like, this huge turnaround from Cam Ward this year.
31:16Like, I expect improvement, but I don't think you should expect Cam Ward to all of a sudden be a top QB or anything like that.
31:24Yeah, and I think that's fair. If I was looking at these offenses, the three of them, and I had to say,
31:32hey, I think, you know, when you just look at, like, kind of look at upside, I, crazy enough, I do think
31:39that they have maybe the highest upside or maybe the more intriguing.
31:43I say upside because obviously the Cardinals have the sexiest players, right?
31:47They have the biggest names. So, it's definitely not them.
31:50But when we talk about the environment and what a team is building, I feel like I have a little bit more
31:57faith in the Titans and what they've put together to take a step forward than I do the other two teams.
32:04I mean, Arizona's schedule is just so bad. And the vibes are just so bad around that team being anything this year.
32:11I can see a path for the Titans, just overall ending up being solid.
32:16I mean, let's just talk a little bit about the wide receivers here first, and then we'll get into Cam Ward and
32:23we can talk about the run game. The big names, obviously, are Carnell Tate and Wanda Robinson.
32:29Those are the two players that probably are the most intriguing just out of the wide receivers.
32:35You still have Shima Redike. You have Alec Ayumaner.
32:38You still have Calvin Ridley, who could be pesky, but I don't expect him to be anything fantasy worthy unless there's a lot of injuries in the offense.
32:47But how do you see the target share in this offense shaking out for these wide receivers?
32:52For the wide receivers, I think this is the Colonel Tate and Wanda Robinson show.
32:57I think that Tate will lead the team in targets.
33:01When you take a wide receiver that high, you've got to have some serious plans for him, and it'll work out or it won't.
33:09I think that Colonel Tate represents a nice ceiling because he's a rookie play.
33:13He could just be fantastic. He was a very good prospect coming into the NFL.
33:18It's just kind of a matter of how that offensive environment ends up shaking out.
33:23And then Wanda Robinson is a decent PPR play, but I think he truly is a floor play as opposed to a ceiling play.
33:31Because how many touchdowns will he score on this offense?
33:34You know, he showed some improved efficiency last year with the Giants, but I don't know how much of that ports over
33:42to playing with Cam Ward in this offense. So, like, there's some interest in either of them, depending on cost.
33:48Their costs right now are fine, but neither one really gets me that excited about drafting them.
33:54Yeah. And do you look at Cam Ward? I mean, sorry, do you look at Colonel Tate and think of him having
34:01a similar season to Ted Aroo, McMillan? I mean, Ted Aroo, McMillan had 122 targets last year, 70 catches, 1,014 yards, seven receiving touchdowns.
34:09He averaged 12.4 points per game. Is that pretty close to what you have Tate projected for this year?
34:15I have him for a little bit less than that.
34:18It shouldn't be a surprise if he has a Ted Aroo, McMillan type of season.
34:23I think that's actually a pretty good comparison because of the QB, the offense, all those things, and the type of, you
34:31know, players he's up against in his offense to compete for targets.
34:35But Ted Aroo, McMillan, I thought was a significantly better prospect than Cardinal Tate personally.
34:40But I think that Cam Ward could be a better QB than Bryce Young pretty easily.
34:45So it kind of balances out a little bit.
34:48Yeah, I think that's kind of fair. And last year, Ted Aroo, McMillan, I personally think he had less target competition than
34:55what, you know, than what Cardinal Tate's going to have this year.
34:59Ted Aroo, McMillan, I mean, projecting I had him between 25% and 30% target share, and that's pretty much where he was last year.
35:07Cardinal Tate, I had him at a 20% target share.
35:10That could change a little bit. But that's where I have him currently today.
35:15I think you had shared you're pretty close to that as well, a little bit higher than I am.
35:21But Wanda Robinson, I mean, look, I know you're not as high on him as I am in terms of I had
35:28Wanda to start at a 25% target share. I know it sounds high, but just from what we've seen the last two years, it's just hard to imagine.
35:38I haven't met 137 targets this year, 93 catches, 881, and 3.6 touchdowns.
35:42He's sitting at about, you know, he's sitting at 11.9 points per game, which, you know, for his ADP is pretty decent at a 106 ADP, 11.9.
35:51I have him currently, I don't know if this is going to stay the same, so I don't want people to freak
35:58out here, but I have him 0.1 points ahead of Cardinal Tate, actually.
36:02So if you're asking me who I'd rather take a chance on, I might honestly rather Wanda.
36:08And that might, your stomach might be turning because I think you don't like it.
36:13I was going to say, based on this, you are a Wanda Robinson bull.
36:18You should have on every team you draft. I guess so.
36:21So I like the Wanda Robinson. Maybe we should be talking about the Titans because apparently you think they're going to be really good.
36:29Oh, God, please stop. Let's go ahead and just move over to just Cam Ward a little bit.
36:35We'll get to the running backs and then we'll get out of here.
36:39Cam Ward, what are your projections for him? Touchdowns, is he going to run more this year in your opinion?
36:46Where do you kind of see him ending up?
36:49Yeah, I've got him thrown for just under 25 touchdowns starting the whole season, assuming health.
36:54Like I was saying, I think, you know, Brian Dayball raises the floor of the offense.
36:59I think he will have improvement from Ward and like 25 passing touchdowns isn't anything spectacular.
37:05It's fine. You know, it's a good NFL season, especially for him.
37:09I do think he's going to run more. This is something we've seen from Brian Dayball with all his QBs.
37:15Now he's had QBs who run. Cam Ward has shown athleticism and has shown a willingness to run around the goal line.
37:23I think he will do more of that this year and how much he does between the 20s was yet to be seen.
37:30But I think he will do a little bit more than that.
37:34I think that's just kind of somewhat of a staple of the Brian Dayball offenses, utilizing his QBs athleticism, which Cam Ward does have, you know.
37:43So I do think we're going to see him running some.
37:46Okay. Yeah, I have him at two and a half touchdowns rushing.
37:50I have him attempts wise at 57.2 attempts this year, which would be more than last year.
37:56In college, I'm pretty sure he had a season where he ran over 100 times.
38:01I just think from him, he kind of gives me CJ Stroud vibes where he is somebody who likes to throw the ball deep.
38:09His eyes are typically downfield. He is not somebody who gets out of the pocket and is just looking to go.
38:16He is somebody who just seems to kind of want to extend the play with his arm and just, you know, get the ball downfield.
38:24So that's kind of where I have him. I agree with you.
38:28I think Dayball gets him running a little bit more.
38:31I have met a 17 and a half red zone rush here.
38:35So I think maybe Dayball gets creative with him.
38:38We saw him do it with Daniel Jones a ton.
38:41And so I think that's fair. Moving over to the running backs here.
38:46Somewhat interesting conversation to have. Tajay Spears has been somebody that people have wish casted to be a thing Wyatt for a really long time.
38:54But at the end of the day, Tony Pollard, the savvy vet, is still there.
38:59How do you see things shaking out? Is it finally time to transition from the old man?
39:05Or do you think he's going to kind of hang on to this role still?
39:09I think it's just going to be status quo for these two.
39:13And the way it's been. I don't see why Brian Dayball would change anything that's been going on.
39:19It's Tony Pollard doing the majority of the rushing work.
39:23And Tajay Spears getting a little bit more of the passing down work than Pollard.
39:28Because that's what Spears is especially good at. And Pollard's been a good rusher.
39:32Even last year as he's getting into his advanced age.
39:36And he's obviously not as dynamic as he used to be.
39:39He's still a good player. And we saw it down the stretch last year.
39:44So I have no reason to believe it would change.
39:47Yeah, I mean Pollard averaged 4.5 yards per carry on a pretty brutal offense last year.
39:52That was the most he averaged over the last three years.
39:56So I'm kind of with you. Pollard, he's interesting.
39:59I'm not excited to draft him, so to speak.
40:0276.8 still feels a little bit high, in my opinion, to take Pollard when you have some other guys going around him
40:09that I think have some intriguing upside. I'm very kind of high on Blake Corum this year, who I know is in a timeshare.
40:17But I have some interest there, especially if you're taking Tony Pollard as your RB3, maybe in some cases RB4, if you're
40:24really glutton for running backs that high in the top 80 picks.
40:28To me, it's like I'd rather take a chance on Blake Corum to be my RB3 over Pollard in that situation if you're just looking for upside.
40:37And you don't need him to start your lineup every week if things shake out for Corum, which I do anticipate him
40:44having a similar role and slightly expanded this year.
40:47Tajay Spears, though. Talk to me about him. Do you have him having a decent target share?
40:53Do you think he's involved in the pass game a decent amount?
40:57Is he a guy that you'd be interested in drafting?
41:00He's got 154 ADP, so he's pretty much free.
41:03And for those slappy best ball drafters, I'm sure that they just love the price of Tony Pollard.
41:09He's got to be the most underrated player in drafts right now in best ball.
41:14I actually like Tajay Spears in best ball more than I do in managed leagues.
41:19So predictable. Because I do think he has a weekly role as a pass game weapon.
41:24So when you're doing a 0 RB build and you want some more guaranteed points, I think he's good for that.
41:31But I think if anything happened to Tony Pollard, I don't think we see Tajay Spears get a big workload for an extended period of time.
41:40So I don't think he's necessarily a handcuff per se to Tony Pollard.
41:44I think we'd see some Nicholas Singleton if that happened.
41:47He'd obviously get a boost, but I don't think it would be as big of a boost as other running backs in his area specifically for that.
41:56But if you're looking for some actual production week to week, even without an injury for your best ball teams, when you're
42:04building a little floor into your running back room, I think he's good for that.
42:09And managed, because I don't think he's a full-on handcuff, I don't know what you're doing with him.
42:15I don't know how he fits into a team because you don't actually want to start that.
42:20If you're a 0 RB team, that's not enough week to week to actually slot into your lineup.
42:26Yeah, unfortunately, in a managed league, unless you're really just banking on Tajay Spears just really finally taking that leap, I mean,
42:33when are you going to ever really start him on a bad offense?
42:38I mean, we're talking about a guy that's in a time share on a bad offense that also we don't expect.
42:45I mean, I have him projected for 105 rushing attempts this year.
42:48I mean, that equates to, I mean, it's got to equate to somewhere around like, I don't know why, like six-ish a
42:56game, maybe a little bit more than six-ish a game.
42:59It's just, I don't know, you're really banking on the receiving and it's just going to be hard to start a guy like that.
43:07Singleton's interesting. I wouldn't draft him in redraft, but if you have like a scout team where you just like click and
43:14star players or just keep guys in mind kind of thing, Singleton's interesting.
43:19But the truth is, if Tony Pollard goes down, every analyst and their mother is going to say, go get Nicholas Singleton
43:26because he's going to be the guy that's going to probably be the early down back.
43:31Could be Michael Carter. Who knows? You know, we'll see how that shakes out.
43:36But I do want to mention one other player because this is a guy that has kind of been talked about a decent amount, Wyatt.
43:44But Gunnar Henderson has really been someone that people have kind of started to fall in love with a little bit this year.
43:52Gunnar Henderson is going to pick 185. Brian Dayball has had somewhat of a thing for tight ends, you know, in his past.
43:59What are your thoughts on Henderson? I have him at an 18% red zone target share.
44:04I am a fan of Gunnar Helm, who has a really, really cheap price.
44:09You're going to end this soon. But I think we'll be their starting tight end and we'll be their main pass catching tight end in the offense.
44:18And third option on a bad offense, you know, that does not sound that great.
44:23But in best ball where you can take him as late as you can, he actually fills a nice role, I think,
44:30in some three tight end builds where you're trying to build in a little bit of, you know, potential and a little bit of floor.
44:38Because I do think he is that starting receiving tight end for the Titans.
44:43In managed leagues, not a chance. There's like almost no reason to draft him.
44:48Yeah. If you're drafting Gunnar Helm, you're pretty much playing the waiver wire at tight end.
44:53So, I mean, unless you think he's going to start off hot and you're ready to start him week one, week two,
45:00because he's got a good couple matchups. I have him projected for 60 targets, 48 catches, 394, three touchdowns.
45:06I mean, that puts him at like six points per game.
45:10I mean, it's just not going to be consistent enough, I don't think.
45:14You know, tight ends why we look at guys usually, if they're not a heavy target earner, it's a guy that's like,
45:22okay, well, can you count on this guy to get a touchdown for you almost every other week at least?
45:28And in an offense that we don't expect to have a lot of touchdowns, especially, you know, passing touchdowns, you're at 25.
45:35I'm at 22 for Ward. Helm's probably not somebody that we're going to feel super good about.
45:41By the way, Gunnar Henderson plays for the Baltimore Orioles.
45:44Not exactly sure why that came out of my head there.
