NegativeValue23:36

Following the Gentry injury news, Emeka Egbuka is feeling a little cold on draft boards, contributing to a tightening of the third-round wide receiver pool.

Insight page
NegativeInjury25:34

Emeka Egbuka is dealing with a severe turf toe injury, causing significant volatility in his draft position between the third and fifth rounds. Analysts are wary of the injury's long-term impact and potential for re-injury, suggesting he should be avoided until he returns to practice.

James Cook is viewed favorably as a running back option for the upcoming season.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

NegativeProjection79:06

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is viewed as less desirable than Amon-Ra St. Brown because the Seahawks' defense is too strong, limiting the potential for the high-scoring, back-and-forth shootouts needed for fantasy production.

Jaden Higgins was reportedly the best player in Texans camp before his injury, potentially impacting the target distribution between him and Nico Collins.

PositiveInjury85:37

Jeremiah Love is a key addition to the Cardinals' offense; his fantasy value depends on recovering from a high ankle sprain early in the season.

Insight page

NegativeBust180:44

Joe Burrow is criticized for being drafted in the sixth round without being stacked with his primary receivers (Chase or Higgins), making the build structurally unsound.

Jonathan Brooks is being targeted as a flex option in the fifth round due to his upside potential compared to available wide receivers.

PositiveValue91:17

Mike Evans is not a preferred target, even when available in the fifth round.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveBreakout13:16

Mike Washington is viewed as the primary beneficiary of the Ashton Gentry injury. While he has moved up draft boards, he is still typically available in the eighth or ninth round. There is debate regarding his pass-blocking ability, but he has shown speed and size (6'2", 220 lbs) in the preseason.

Nico Collins

PositiveUsage95:06

Trey McBride

Trey McBride is a top-six round draft pick and a core weapon in the Arizona Cardinals' high-upside offense.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveValue73:16

Tyler Warren is considered an upside top-four tight end who represents a great value pick in the middle rounds, allowing managers to wait on the quarterback position.

Insight page

PositiveBreakout25:43

Woody Marks has looked good in the preseason and is becoming a more attractive late-round option due to his performance.

0:49Look at me hosting the Fantasy Empire for the first time.
0:53I just left East Palestine, Ohio. I'm back home in Long Island.
0:57Ready, guys? We are in the middle of draft season.
1:00Tons of changes. The final countdown, two weeks. Two weeks from opening day.
1:05So much going on. Let me bring in the boys.
1:08Here we go. Guys, I feel like I'm at the table of nights.
1:13I don't know if my white horse, Chris, is going to come in.
1:17I mean, look at me. The big boy has grown up to the fantasy empire.
1:23I mean, I'm speechless, boys. Thanks for having me.
1:26Paul, you were pitching to him under one ERA in the minor leagues in AAA.
1:31We couldn't keep you down any longer. We had to bring you up for a start.
1:36There you go, Chris. Look, I'll get my ball ready.
1:40Look, I'm all over. The only problem is, Paul, you jumped the gun and the 7 o'clock pitch time, you threw your first pitch at 6.57.
1:49Yeah, I saw everyone was ready. I figured that, you know, let's get it going.
1:54I usually start our show earlier. I think that's what I was used to.
1:59Just in case something goes wrong, Chris, I'm always two minutes ahead.
2:03But here we are. We're live. The fans are rolling in.
2:07Guys, this is an incredible time of year. I'm a little disappointed.
2:11I was thinking you were going to have the bow tie and the speedo.
2:16You know, I almost did, Matt, but, you know, life got in the way.
2:21My daughter to school actually had some work to do.
2:24So I ended up, you know, going into my dad gear.
2:28At least you didn't go with the cutoff, Paul.
2:31At least you didn't really have the cutoff like you just came off the beach during the live streams.
2:38At least you dressed up a little bit. I tried, Chris, you know, I tried to spruce it up today a little bit.
2:46I think your friend Lou Weber made a comment about the cutoff.
2:50So I said, you know what? I got to go with at least some sleeves.
2:55I love the cutoffs, Paul. I mean, it's like you coming from Planet Fitness working out.
3:00More like Planet Fatness now, so it's probably where I'm coming from.
3:05Well, we're down now. About two weeks ago, it was 11 pounds.
3:09Where are we at now? I plateaued, Chris, about 11 and .001 pounds.
3:13Maxed out at 11, down to nine now. I'm in the hard part now.
3:18I'm in the hard part of weight loss. But guys, this is a big two weeks, man, right?
3:24We are – there's so much going on in football.
3:28I can't believe it's two weeks from opening day.
3:31There's so much you guys revolved in. Nelson, I drafted two drafts at the same time last night.
3:37I wanted to blow my brains out. I could not believe how hard it was.
3:42So if you're doing five, you're like Rain Man to me, man.
3:46And that's a compliment. I can't even fathom doing more than two.
3:51I was like, this is way too hard. I was excited to hear your reaction, but that wasn't the reaction I wanted.
3:58I was hoping you were going to say I never felt more alive.
4:03No, it wasn't alive. I was like – one was a little bit delayed, so I was picking seventh and tenth.
4:10And then when your picks come together, Nelson, it's a huge issue.
4:14Because then I'm like, I don't know which – I look at the primetime.
4:19Do I look at this one? I'm like, never again.
4:22Always the primetime. Yeah, that's kind of how I go.
4:26But anyway – Oh, I was in the online.
4:29I was in the OLC that you were in last night, and you weren't milking the clock at all.
4:35You were making your picks on time. You were actually making good picks as well.
4:41So credit to you. You at least nailed that one.
4:44I don't know how your primetime worked out for you, but – We're going to go through that in a little bit, Chris.
4:52We're going to see our primetime. Oh, a teaser.
4:55There you go. Yeah, a little teaser. There you go.
4:59But it's very – it is difficult. I mean, honestly, Nelson, I don't know how you do it.
5:05I plan on never doing that again. One and done.
5:08One and done. All right, boys. So let's get the show started.
5:12We have a lot to talk about. Those of you who looked at our kind of – our preview, let's have a board meeting.
5:21Because the board is a changing. And Ashton Gentry's somewhat mysterious injury – not that it's mysterious, but we kind of know
5:28what's going on – that shot a lightning bolt through draft world on Sunday.
5:33So, guys, let's talk about the board meeting, how the board is moving.
5:38Matt, why don't you start us off talking about what you've been seeing since the Gentry situation?
5:44I mean, we've seen all kinds of craziness. I think the highest he – I mean, the lowest he went was like
5:51round 12 in one of the high-stakes leagues. In our OC Sunday night, I think he went 9-3, the pick after us.
5:59For me, I mean, I'm going to be looking for discounts.
6:03I'm interested in that. I'm not like actively going to be going after it.
6:07I do have him on two high-stakes leagues Saturday night in a high-stakes leagues, which we will not mention.
6:14Me and my partner, Jason Anthony, had the fourth pick in the second round, and he happened to be there.
6:21I was like, yeah, we both agreed that was a smash pick for us.
6:26So, no major discount. Right? So, then second – you took fourth pick in the second round?
6:32No, this was Saturday night. So, he got injured on Sunday.
6:35Yeah. Okay. So, okay. Go ahead. Yeah. So, that was before the injury, and I was – you know, I'm all in on Aston Gentry at that price.
6:45Unfortunately, you know, whatever it was, 12 hours later, he was carried off the field.
6:50They were doing press circles. I do blame the press circle more on the quarterback tandem.
6:56You know, they're becoming like the Christian Raiders as opposed to the outlaws.
7:00Is Christianity a fade for you, Matt? Is that what you're saying?
7:04No, no. I'm just saying – Nelson. I'm Catholic.
7:08But, you know. Nelson, since Gentry – since the world turned with Gentry on Sunday, what are you seeing on draft boards,
7:15the adjustment with Gentry, you know, in where he's going on the board, where you think he's going to wind up living now for these next couple days?
7:25Yeah, so I've done about 10 drafts since the Gentry injury, and what I've noticed is immediately on Sunday night, he went
7:32about, on average, like sixth, seventh round is where he was going.
7:37Some people probably didn't get the news. They fired him up like in the, you know, late second round.
7:43They thought that was a great value. I think they just didn't hear the news.
7:48Yesterday, once we got more news and it was positive, he really didn't make it out of, like, the second, third round.
7:56That's where he was going. Mike Washington, who's the guy that obviously could benefit from all this, especially if this injury keeps
8:04Gentry out a couple of weeks to start the season, he's moved up, but not as much as I thought.
8:10I thought people would put the carriage before the horse a little bit and, and really steam him up.
8:17But he's typically going like eighth, ninth round, I think, with, with Washington.
8:22Yeah. So, you know, it happened real quick. There was one prime time, right, on Sunday night after this news broke.
8:29He went in the 70s to an owner, right?
8:32I believe like pick 75 overall, like in that range.
8:35That guy got a major break, right? If I was drafting on Sunday night in a bigger draft, I would have took
8:43the shot at some point around the fourth round.
8:46I would have said the news was not stable enough.
8:50It was, it was, um, very murky. Um, I think in an online championship, you had to take a chance sometime after
8:57round three, just to get a unique build and wait.
9:01And if you burn 350 and I'm not saying $350, isn't a lot of money.
9:06Okay. But if you burn 350, if you're doing volume, you had to pull the trigger anytime after the third round on Gentry in that 24 hour span.
9:15In my opinion, uh, I think everything went back to normal.
9:19Now I did two drafts last night. He went in the second round, Paul, the one that we were in, he went 12th overall.
9:28And nothing ever happened. So to me, that's crazy.
9:31I thought at least in last night's draft, there'd be a nice discount.
9:35Uh, maybe he slips to the beginning of the third round.
9:39You pull the trigger there. Didn't happen. Um, what I think the fallout will be now going forward, starting tonight's drafts and forward.
9:47I think Gentry will live in the middle of the second end of the second round, uh, type of thing, because it's still possible.
9:55He might start the week, uh, the year on, um, you know, four game IR or miss a couple in the beginning.
10:03And that's gotta be knocked a little bit after that, the fallout.
10:07I only think the fallout with Gentry is you're going to see Derek Henry living in the second round now as an extra running back.
10:16Okay. And, and, um, I'll leave it at that.
10:19I agree, Chris. I, I, I, I think, uh, Henry definitely moves up and secures a spot there.
10:25Yeah. And what a gift for that guy that got Gentry in the seventh round and a prime time.
10:31Listen, there was probably 15 to 20 online championship drafts in the last day and a half since this Gentry news.
10:39Um, but there was only two prime times in the last, um, two days since the Gentry news.
10:45And one of them, the guy got him in the, in the seventh round.
10:50Right. And Paul, you guys were in the one last night.
10:54He went and walked the second round. Yeah. He went the, uh, second to last pick of the second round.
11:01I'm looking at the board now. So a guy got a, so here's a bill that I haven't seen guys.
11:07A lot of Bijan and Gentry. Right. That's a, that's a, that's a, that's a, that's a very, very different type of build, uh, with him slipping.
11:17I think, you know, listen, the Raiders, a lot of people are, are bullish on the two guys, obviously Bowers and, and Gentry.
11:25I think we're Washington. I think a lot of these rookies get a lot of steam in the preseason that you and I've talked about it.
11:34Chris Nelson, we've all seen this. These guys are playing against, you know, guys are going to be bagging groceries at target.
11:41Most of the time, uh, the starters aren't playing.
11:44I think these rookies get a little overhyped. I mean, Washington, you know, uh, it was even during the draft season that
11:52they said that the coach at Kubiak liked him, but I feel like people overrate these rookies with a couple of big
12:00runs in the preseason when hardly anyone's playing starters.
12:03I don't know what you guys think of that.
12:06I think, I think it met, listen, context matters.
12:09I I've mentioned that, that in the preseason, some of these things you got to take with a grain of salt.
12:16I think some of these things are worth, uh, noting, but if you follow kind of like the breadcrumbs with that head
12:24coach, you know, and you look at last year, everyone felt.
12:28Ken Walker was a way better talent than Zach Charbonnet and they couldn't figure out why those two were basically almost splitting
12:35evenly and, and, and felt that Charbonnet shouldn't have been getting as many snaps and touches as he was.
12:42So now he goes to Las Vegas. And now the question is, you know, for some people that are not as bullish
12:49on Gentry is could this Washington kid play his himself into a role where Gentry's not the full, you know, bell cow, uh, per se.
12:58So let's say, you know, I know they, they said something, I think there was talk of like 60, 40 or something
13:06like that or whatever, but even let's just say the kids, you know, mixing in there enough that it's a little bit of a pain in the ass.
13:15Uh, and it's not what you were expecting out of Gentry.
13:19Is that possible? So those are the things it's like, okay, Gentry, Gentry gets hurt.
13:24The Washington kids looked good, even against backup, even though it's been against backups, the coach based on his limited history, he loved a committee last year.
13:34And that's a possibility this year. Yeah. Uh, I think last year too, though, I think with Seattle, I think they were afraid to unleash Kenneth Walker too.
13:43They were trying to keep him healthy. And, and the thesis for Gentry pre-injury for me was he had 73 targets last year as a sophomore in college.
13:53He had 43 targets junior year. He was sitting at halftime in most of those games.
13:59So, you know, I still, I don't know how good Mike Washington is in pass protection.
14:04And that's a factor there as well. So I think a healthy Gentry is, you know, 80, 20, 75, 25 at most.
14:12That's like, you know, that's the way I see it.
14:15And I'm, and I'm drafting Mike Washington. Look, I'm going to take the kid.
14:20He's got speed. He's made a couple of nice moves in the second level.
14:25He's also six to 220 pounds. So I would think at least he can get in the way of somebody blocking or
14:32somebody coming at the quarterback because he's got the size.
14:36And maybe he learned that when he started out in the university of Buffalo, which is another fun fact that this guy started out at that school.
14:45But guys, while we're on the board, he's produced some decent running backs in the NFL.
14:51Yeah, it's unbelievable. But let's talk about the board, right?
14:54Because there's more impact. I mean, Chris, you mentioned about Derrick Henry living in the second round.
15:00I mean, to me, that goes Barkley and A-Chan also, right?
15:04They're locked and loaded second round picks. A-Chan was, and Barkley, we saw him, guys, sometimes slip into the third.
15:11Not often, but sometimes. But neighbors firmly second round.
15:14You guys spoke about that in your show last week.
15:17We've been talking about that. But let's talk about a little bit more of the impact.
15:23Like one guy who, you know, Nelson, you and I, and Matt, even before Chris entered draft season as he was, you
15:30know, injecting Hugo Spritz into his veins and Capri, right?
15:34Was Amika Abuka, right? This is the guy that I'm seeing really have the most volatility between rounds three, four.
15:41I mean, I saw him in the fifth the other day.
15:45You know, we haven't heard a thing about him, right?
15:48Oh, he took the shoe off. He's standing there.
15:51Guys, because he, to me, is one of the more impactful upper end receivers right now that seems to have the most volatility.
15:59Guys, what do you think about him? Yeah, he's going to, what do you call it?
16:05And he's going to really change boards up here and the look of some teams that get him early in the fourth
16:12round or at least at the turn where he seems to be going in a lot of these drafts.
16:19Now, between like picks 32 and like 42, you know, like he comes around the turn.
16:24People are going to get nice combinations that they weren't getting early in the season here.
16:30You know, we see, we hear the news. People start getting excited again when they hear that he's in sneakers.
16:37He's out of a walking boot. So, people start feeling a little warm and fuzzy again about a Buka.
16:43But, you know, Nelson, you've talked about it. That's not an injury to mess with at all.
16:49A severe turf toe for a wide receiver. You know, you have all the Twitter doctors trying to diagnose it.
16:56We don't know how bad the situation is with the Buka's toe.
17:00And right now, when you're putting a lot of money up on the line for a team, you can't really, you know,
17:08press the button in the second round. So, he's going to be living in the third round at minimum going forward until he's back on a practice field.
17:18Yeah. Yeah. Like you guys know, he's a big target of mine or was a big target of mine.
17:24But injuries in the preseason suck and serious ones are even worse.
17:28And hearing about this turf toe and everything, you know, that just wants me to – makes me want to stay away right now.
17:37Because if I need to see him return to practice, that tells me, okay, he returned to practice within a week.
17:44It wasn't as serious as we thought or I thought.
17:47And I can get back on the Buka train, you know, here in the last two weeks.
17:53But I'm not going to go and draft him right now even though part of my – mentally, part of me says,
18:01oh, he's a great deal here in the late third round.
18:05Ooh, he snuck into the fourth round. But I have to stay disciplined because, like I said, when you get these type
18:12of serious injuries, you know, in the preseason, they can be a bitch to recover from.
18:18And re-injury is a possibility during the season. So, I just want to see how serious it is before I get back in on him.

19:28He was available at 4-4. And at that point, I said, you know what?
19:32I'm going to take the discount here. We've still got three weeks to go.
19:37You know, so I'm hoping that, as you said, maybe next week he returns.
19:42Maybe they're just being extra cautious, being that they have this time.
19:46He's proven what he's had to prove, you know, up to this point in camp.
19:51And to me, at some point, you've got to make that decision.
19:56It wasn't easy. Lad had just gone. I probably would have went Lad and take the safer route.
20:02But that was my call there. So, Matt, I had a real-life decision last night in the primetime.
20:08Everybody's having these real-life decisions. Real-life decisions. I'm thinking of real-life decisions.
20:12I'm serious, guys. I don't know. I got a real-life problem here.
20:16Real-life decisions. Now that we've taken our – now that, Matt, you've taken our Christianity and real-life decisions last night – I'm
20:24glad that you caught on to that, Paul, because I was like, wait a minute.
20:29That sounded serious. Repent. Repent. I have a real-life problem here, lad.
20:33Listen, by the way, just off sub, we're seeing a different level of Modica the last week.
20:39This guy is, first of all, on every show more than Bob Barker.
20:44He's wired like I've never seen him before. And that's saying a lot.
20:48This guy is absolutely cooking with gas. But last night, I took Garrett Wilson ahead of Abuka.
20:54Someone you would not let me draft. Yeah, I'm warming you up.
20:58You know, you and that El Tida background of yours.
21:02I'm still getting used to Modica. But that whole thing with – you know, I just – listen, I'm a little nervous.
21:09Like Nelson said, turf toe – maybe I'm Joe Burrow scared from last year, Chris, when you and I had our traumatic
21:17turf toe experience in the Diamond, right? It's a little bit worrisome, right?
21:21So, listen, I think he is a wild-card guy who's going to impact boards.
21:26And it just – you know, there's a couple – to me, it's him, Jeremiah Love.
21:32You know, another guy that's dropped a little bit is Scadaboo, right?
21:36Scadaboo is kind of going down a little bit.
21:39Paul, I wanted to talk about Scadaboo at one point in the show, but we might as well talk about it now.
21:47You know, he is dropping like a stone. You know, right now when you're drafting every night, you're getting the feel.
21:54You know, when you're locked in at this point like we all are, you get a feel on every draft board of
22:01who's cold, who's hot, who the players don't want and everything.
22:05Not only Cam Scadaboo, who's falling now to the end of the fifth round – you know, I'm sorry, end of the fourth round.
22:14No, I'm sorry, fifth. I'm sorry. I apologize. End of the fifth round where he was going in the fourth round or
22:21at least not getting past the turn. Now he's going – I got him at 59 overall last night.
22:28I pulled the trigger on him. I'm not that high on Scadaboo, but you know what?
22:33When you can clip him in a different build at the end of the fifth now as your RB1 or 2 on
22:41a heavy wide receiver build, that's a new player that's there for you.
22:45Another cold name is Montgomery. Nelson, I know these are two running backs that you love.
22:51They're both kind of cold right now. They're both lasting to that middle of the fifth and going down.
22:57Say that again, Nelson? I love it. That's a good thing.
23:01Yeah, no, it's good for you. Exactly. It's good for someone like you or any drafter that's hoping when you go wide
23:09receiver heavy from the first part of the board to get to that end of the fifth and start putting your running
23:16back room together because for a while there, a couple weeks, running backs weren't coming back.
23:22But I do want to just back up real quick, Paul, because we were on the topic.
23:28What I'm noticing also on these draft boards is the end of the third round is starting to get real tight and dried up.
23:36And especially in the last couple of nights with the Gentry news, we're feeling like Agbuka is a little cold.
23:43We're losing him, losing Gentry, losing Jeremiah Love out of that turn.
23:47It's like three players dried up to extend that end of the third round to make those wide receivers that we all
23:55love to come back and build a heavy wide receiver build in the late third round.
24:00It's starting to get a little tight. I saw a draft yesterday where all those receivers went early third round straight through the middle.
24:09And by the time you got to like 34, 35, 36 overall, not many of them were left.
24:15At least the big wide receivers, the Lads, the Waddles, the Devonta Smiths, those guys.
24:20So the board is changing big time right now these last couple of days again.
24:25I found myself in a position, Chris, in the drafts last night.
24:29And Nelson, you passed Montgomery in the fifth round.
24:32And I was two slots from you and I took them because I thought the value there.
24:38But the other thing is, in both of my drafts last night, Chris, you and I texted about this.
24:45When it was time to say, do I go fourth receiver or third running back?
24:50I elected third running back both times because I looked at the receivers.
24:55I looked at the running backs and I said, you know, I don't know if I want this receiver at this point or an upshot guy.
25:04Like I took Jonathan Brooks in my flex in the prime time last night.
25:08And we're going to go through this board at the end because I'm like, I just think there's a better shot.
25:16And I like Brian Thomas, but he scares the you know what out of me a little bit.
25:22Right. So there's some points now where I don't think, guys, tell me if you think I'm wrong, that you may see
25:29a lot more RBs threes in the flex that we've seen in the beginning of the summer.
25:35I mean, I don't think you're wrong, but I think all this, like, people panicking now about, like, even like David Montgomery.
25:43Look, Woody Marks has looked good in the preseason.
25:46They're playing him. He's playing against, you know, every defense is just a basic defense.
25:51A lot of the starters don't play, as we mentioned already.
25:55And look, he's maybe more attractive now. I mean, even Marshawn Lloyd, who I really like, you know, I'm seeing him out there.
26:03He's catching a touchdown. Yeah, it's great. You want to see that.
26:07But I am not going off of David Montgomery and these guys.
26:11And all these guys in the fifth and sixth round are either upside plays, you know, guys that have roles with upside or their home run shots.
26:21That's why they're fifth, sixth round picks. If you really want the stability or you want that guarantee, you're drafting a running
26:28back in the first and second round. So I think this is more on the level, Paul.
26:34Correct me if I'm wrong. It really is a fifth round debate.
26:38If you're at the end of the fourth round and in the fifth round, right?
26:43The receivers that dry up, do you want to force up a wide receiver that you're not in love with?
26:50Or do you want to jump the gun on a solid running back that you feel is maybe a little misplaced or is more valuable?
26:59Okay. And everybody likes to jump and build these wide receiver rooms so heavy.
27:04But if you are in the back end of the first round, which Paul, last night, we saw something crazy in our
27:11online championship that I think is going to be very common going forward in all leagues.
27:17And that was like seven green stickers in a row at the turn in the first and second round.
27:24It was after pick nine. I think it was C.D.
27:27Lamb went nine. And then running backs went 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 maybe even.
27:33So it was six or seven straight running backs.
27:36A. Chan is starting to creep over to the right side of the board in the second round.
27:42Barkley went from someone that was always falling to 18 to 24, is now always between like 14 and 17 now.
27:49Okay. All these running backs are going that way.
27:53So when you come back in the fifth round, you know, do you want to force a receiver that you're not in love with?
28:01A Devontae Adams, a Mike Evans, one of these older receivers, a Carnell Tate, that these are all receivers that are like,
28:08I don't know if I want to be in on these guys, but I have to take a receiver because I only have two.
28:17Or do you switch it up and go with your third running back when you build off two running backs and get
28:24an ETN or a Scadaboo or a Montgomery or something like that, that you feel is going to get 15, 20 touches.
28:32So that's the major, that's a major issue that drafters are facing right now.
28:37And I'm with Paul. I'll nine out of 10 times go and press the running back again.
28:43I have another way to go. As you mentioned in that four or five turn from the back end, if like say
28:50Watson, Parker, Washington, or if you're a JMO guy, even McLaurin's falling back there.
28:55If those guys are gone, I'm probably, you know, that means Coastal Loveland has a good chance of being there.
29:02And I'll just tap that and take the best running back if I want to go that route after it, like say
29:10whatever, five, two, five, three around that turn. I think that's a way to play it for now.
29:16If that's how things are going to shape up.
29:19Nelson, any final thoughts on that kind of draft dynamic we're just talking about?
29:24Yeah. So my opinion on this whole thing is that I think once you reach the end of the fourth, fifth round,
29:31a lot of those receivers are sketchy for me.
29:35And I think there's going to be a couple that emerge as good picks, but I think you're going to see a lot of busts in that range.
29:44So I think it actually makes sense to go in a different direction at that point in the draft, rather than you,
29:52it makes you feel comfortable because you're putting a yellow sticker on the board, you know, for your team.
29:58But if the right, you know, there's a, there's a chance you don't hit on that receiver.
30:04That receiver is just, it looks good on paper, but when you think about it, it's like that receiver could be hit and miss.
30:13Whereas the running back has more of a stable workload.
30:16Josh Allen has made it down there. Sometimes I think Loveland and Warren are pretty safe bets.
30:22As long as Warren comes back from injury here soon.
30:25But that's kind of how I'm seeing the board is that you're, you're taking a little bit more of a gamble with
30:33the receivers as opposed to just taking a running back that, you know, they're probably in a committee, but they're in a stable situation.
30:41I got a question for you guys at that four or five turn being that at like, say at the back end
30:49of round six, if I'm looking at the five OCs from yesterday, Godwin went six, six.
30:54So he's probably not making it there, but there's a chance because we got him Sunday night at like 72, but you
31:02may possibly Godwin, you got Michael Wilson, Jaden Reed and Josh Downs.
31:06Like, does that make you more apt to take the running back with say that those four or five guys possibly being there as your fourth wide receiver?
31:16That's, that's what we're going to see. And that's why I'm saying earlier in the show, the board is changing big time
31:23because now, you know, the board was so set for like a couple of weeks where it was the same flow.
31:31You know, the third round was all yellow. The fifth round was all green.
31:36Well, now it's switching up because of injuries. And because a couple of names are getting hot and cold and everything, you
31:43know, it's allowing you to take that running back in that early fifth mat because receivers are dropping.
31:49You may not love all the receivers, but the names, you know, there's more options, you know?
31:55And I think it's because of Casey Concepcion, Stribbling.
31:58They've entered this area now of wide receivers that you could come back and late in the sixth and seventh round, you
32:06can get some of these wide receivers to fill out your room as a three or a four.
32:12You know, and at that point, if you build that way, you already have your flex spot locked in with your third running back.
32:20So it's creating a different look for drafters. By the way, before we go any forward, a couple of people in the
32:28comments section are saying that we're having. No, it was just it's just I think that's Hobbs.
32:34I just went to YouTube, Chris, and I heard the sound on my other computer.
32:39So I don't know if it's him because I think the sound I just did a sound check.
32:45Anyone else watching a feeling there's any bit of a sound?
32:49It's just him. So the fact that it's not more than one person, I think it might have been isolated.
32:56Somebody said I was on mute the whole time I was talking, but I don't know.
33:02Well, maybe Hobbs prefers that. Maybe they just hoped that.
33:05Maybe they just hoped I was on mute. I don't know.
33:09Right. I mean, I just, you know, then he told me, I think we're good.
33:14If anyone else is watching, feels like that's it.
33:17Hobbs, maybe you got to get off that dial up on Prodigy and get yourself a little bit of sound on your computer.
33:25Guys, a couple of just a question that came up.
33:29I just want to put up a question from one of the listeners.
33:33My 12-man team is Dark, Gentty, blah, blah, blah, blah.
33:37Any thoughts or advice, guys? I'm going to take a quick look at Mr.
33:41Sean Ford's post. I think you need a backup quarterback, Mr.
33:45Sean Ford, because Dark is not exactly Cal Ripken.
33:48That's the term I like to use for non-durable guys.
33:52What are we supposed to be answering here? Yeah.
33:55Just ask him for advice. So maybe his advice is...
33:58Go out and win. Yeah, good luck. He's got Gentty, Barr could be good receivers.
34:03It was more like a flex kind of post.
34:07All right. So it's a show off. So Sean showed up.
34:10Sean, I could send you an autographed Paul Spateri cutoff sleeve shirt.
34:15There you go. If you like it, it's a gift from the show.
34:19Just a couple of other quotes. Scott of it was hard to trust, but Tracy seems...
34:25Yeah, well... Tracy's dead. Tracy's coming in. Tracy's dead.
34:28Tracy's coming in is ominous. Nate Garcia, who's a loyal fan of all of our live streams.
34:34Guys, what's your take this year? Seems to be needing two running backs to start a draft, maybe even three.
34:40I don't personally think three's the way to go.
34:44I know Nelson did that in one of the drafts that we did with Joey Brown.
34:49I personally think it's a little heavy. I don't know if you guys have any thoughts on Nate's question.
34:56I don't think you have to start two running backs.
34:59I mean, I've done it. And I've done it where I haven't taken a running back to round five.
35:06I think where you are on the board, how the draft is flowing.
35:10And as Nelson has pointed out for like two months ago, pretty much round three should be just yellow.
35:17Now, if you get like Gentty falling into there, that's a consideration I think you have to make and possibly take.
35:24But, you know, for the most part, I think it's, you know, what's your game plan?
35:30Where are you in the draft? And how is the draft falling?
35:34If everybody's taking receivers, you know, I'm not going to be, you know, keep pounding running backs.
35:40Yeah, I'm not. I mean, that goes against how I draft.
35:43I'm not a believer that I got to take two running backs or have to do something.
35:49I just go with the flow of the draft.
35:52Like that particular draft, I went with the three running backs because that's just the way it felt.
35:59I started Gibbs with Joey and Achan fell down there in the second round.
36:03I was fine taking him. And then Henry falls in the third.
36:08I'm like, you know what? This is a tournament format.
36:11Probably going to be very hard to duplicate. So let's try it.
36:15But otherwise, no, I don't look at it that way where that's more of a, you know, safety thing.
36:22It's to feel comfortable. You know, if that's your comfort level, go for it.
36:27You know, my comfort level is, you know, give me a running back in the first two rounds and then I'm going to take wide receivers.
36:36Like that's my comfort level. So, boy, for you, any final thoughts on the board?
36:41I think we've covered the board quite a bit.
36:44We'll put up a primetime board at the end.
36:47So let's move on to the next topic, which is interesting.
36:51So two of the four people in this here show are going, well, are participating in the legacy draft, the $100,000 entry, the Mecca.
36:59I mean, it is the Mecca of all fantasies.
37:02I'm sure there's private leagues with, you know, some big shots on the street who do large ticket, but not as public as this.
37:10So Chris and his partner, Nelson, and his well-publicized partners, everyone knows who they are, well-publicized and well-spoken partners, are going to
37:18participate in this new format, the Circa NFFC getting together.
37:22Guys, I'm excited as a fan to just see what a draft like this will look like.
37:27Granted, it probably won't look much different than the other thousand we've seen.
37:32But Chris, first, talk to me about, I know you're not going to tell us who you like, because I've tried, you
37:40know, as a friend to ask you who you like.
37:43I'm told to kick rocks. I'm told, you know, what are you, Spatari asking too many questions.
37:49I mean, I can't even ask this guy about Colby.
37:52I ask him, Colby Parkins, he tells me, go away, don't ask me about anybody.
37:57Paul, you can ask me. I'm an open book.
38:01Nelson, you're a very different, Nelson, you're a gentleman, Nelson.
38:04You're a very different class. This guy, who I even partner, Nelson, you and I don't even partner and you talk to me.
38:12Me and this guy partner and he still doesn't talk to me.
38:16But Chris. He's afraid you're going to let out the secrets.
38:20Yeah, yeah, Lord knows. But this is, guys, first of all, I think it's really cool.
38:25I'm happy that you guys can do it. Obviously, it's a big commitment financially, a lot of, you know, a lot of brouhaha around it.
38:34Chris, talk to me a bit about, you know, Nelson, what do you guys, you know, is it a little bit different because the stakes are so high?
38:44Or is it you guys are so locked in, you're clearly experts.
38:48Tell us a bit about what you guys think, how you feel about this legacy draft coming up.
38:54Yeah. I mean, listen, I'm excited to be able to participate in this, Nelson.
38:59I'm sure you feel the same way. Hey, I'm looking at it a little differently, to be honest, Paul.
39:06I've been doing a lot of thinking and preparing for this draft.
39:10And there's a couple of little different wrinkles with this.
39:13You know, we're bidding on your draft spots, which are free agent money.
39:18OK, so it's not like a KDS style. So the strategy starts before the draft.
39:23You know, you have to figure out where you want to be on the draft.
39:28How much money do you want to spend of your fab budget and all things like that.
39:34So that's the first major hurdle right there. And to me, when you go into this league, it's going to be a
39:42little different than like a prime time or anything.
39:45You know, I look at the field and the field is very different for this draft.
39:50You know, and I compare it to like the New York Super versus the, you know, you know, the platinum where people
39:58say, hey, the New York Super is a lot tougher because of who's in it compared to the platinum.
40:04You know, so the averages might be, you know, some people that have deep pockets.
40:10They're putting up a lot of money. The board's going to be different, in my opinion.
40:15It's not going to go the same way as most NFFC drafts.
40:19You know, the other, you know, there's myself, there's Nelson, there's Chad and there's Mike Santos.
40:25NFFC players. But the other guys aren't really NFFC players.
40:28And I think that's going to be a major thing you've got to look at before entering this draft for all this
40:36money is don't expect it to go just like these NFFC primetime draft boards are going every night.
40:42Yeah, for me, it's similar where it's actually more about it being unpredictable because there's so many players that are in this draft that I haven't drafted with.
40:52So there's something to be said about going into a primetime or whatever with a bunch of guys that you've been drafting with.
41:00You have a feel for what their style is, right?
41:03You have a feel for what they want to do in the drafts and stuff like that, what players they like, you know, things like that.
41:12But in this draft, it's going to be totally unpredictable.
41:16So for me, I actually think that it suits me well because I'm more of a guy that doesn't game plan for my drafts.
41:24I like to be on the clock and then decide what I'm going to do.
41:29So an unpredictable draft, like I feel like I'm okay with that.
41:33As far as what Chris mentioned about bidding fab dollars for your draft preference.
41:38Okay. I'm familiar with that from the platinum, you know, doing that in the platinum.
41:43And I think that brings in a whole different unique strategy because now you're not leaving it up to like it's in the moment, right?
41:52It's we're going to do it about an hour before the draft starts.
41:56So you have to decide where you want to go and then you got to decide in the moment when the bids are going on.
42:05Like, let's say Greg nominates first. All right. You know, first draft preference.
42:09Let's start at $10. Like we could get up to three, four or $500.
42:14If, if one of those guys in the room or two of those guys in the room want Gibbs or Bijon, right?
42:22Assuming that that's going to be the popular picks.
42:25And that's my assumption. So let's say the first guy, you know, gets it for like three, $400.
42:31He says, I want a pick number one. All right.
42:35Now the second bid, right. Is probably going to go for more because if there was heavy bidding to get to number
42:42one, then, you know, some people like Gibbs a little bit more than Bijon.
42:47Some people look at it as it's even Steven.
42:50So now the second, the second priority is going to be bid on even heavier because people are like, okay, now, now
42:58that the first spot is taken up, this, this is it.
43:02This is the second spot. And, and moving on that, you know, guys are going to decide if they want to be
43:09in the back half of the draft. So that's the uniqueness about it and how much fab you want to spend.
43:17And, you know, what can you go with throughout the season with?
43:21So I have a dollar amount in, in my mind of what I'm willing to spend on a draft slot.
43:28And after that, I do look at it as like fab is important to me.
43:33I, I, I look at it as I don't want to be sitting there, you know, going into the season with half
43:40my fab gone and stuff like that. So, yeah, I think it's going to be unique in both those ways.
43:47I just want to say as a child of Christ, I'm glad no one beats a dog who was barking in the
43:55background like the guilds on his live streams. Whose dog is that?
43:59That ain't mine. That was probably yours, Nelson. That was probably mine.
44:03Oh, wow. Spitary, control your animals. Yeah, I thought it for sure.
44:07It was Nelson's. Listen, I agree with everything Nelson just said.
44:11I just think that when you're bidding on these draft spots, you have to position yourself.
44:17You're going to be positioning yourself in a spot that maybe you think like just say, oh, the beginning of the, you know, the draft.
44:25It's just going to work out differently because of the players that we don't know in this draft.
44:32You know, they could they could take four quarterbacks in round three, you know, and and then that'll allow the receivers to
44:39make it more easily to the end. So the whole draft process of thinking is going to be completely different.
44:46And I think, you know, we'll just have to feel out the board while we're in it.
44:52I also think that draft positioning against the, you know, the other people in the draft that you feel is the highest
45:00your competition is also a major factor in this.
45:03So we'll see Friday night, 10 o'clock at night.
45:06NFFC is going to be live streaming it. Greg is going to be doing it.
45:11And really looking forward to it. That's really all I can say.
45:15A lot of money on the line, a lot of pressure.
45:19And, you know, hopefully one of us takes it down.
45:22I have one last question on the topic before we move off it.
45:27And then we have to go to a quick commercial.
45:30Nelson, right? You're in with two partners. So obviously we know very well and you do a ton of drafts with, right?
45:38You're sitting there. Decision to be made. Who makes the final call?
45:42If you guys can't decide. Yeah. So believe it or not, Steve is allowing myself and Hubbard to make the final calls.
45:50Okay. I do find that hard to believe. Yeah.
45:53That's okay. But what happens when you and Hubbard vehemently disagree on a place to go?
45:58Do you guys wrestle each other? Here's the funny thing.
46:02We've been drafting together for like the last like week or so.
46:06And we're very much on the same page. So there's going to be very little disagreement.
46:11There's probably two players that we strongly disagree on.
46:15And it's players after round 10. So I don't give a shit.
46:19Yeah. Okay. All right. So that's the legacy guys.
46:22Let's take a quick commercial break. We'll be back in a minute.
46:26The NFFC. My favorite high stakes fantasy platform. Why?
46:29Third round reversal. Kentucky Derby draft slot allocation. So it's a lottery based system where you can put in your preference where you want to draft.
46:38It's full PPR. There's three receivers. It's the best place to play fantasy football, especially for high stakes.
46:44And now they've combined with the FFWC. They have a lot more contests to offer.
46:49In fact, they have a double crown bonus where you can join the NFFC primetime.
46:55And if you win that, 300 grand. You can also join the Circo World Championship.
47:00And that's 200 grand. You win both. You win a million dollars.

48:28I was a very rotund version of me in that commercial from Vegas last year.
48:33I see me in my orange Bronco shirt. I look like an orange that was injected by air and steroids.
48:40Boy, what a rough look that was to be in the NFC commercial.
48:44So, boys, we are about 40 minutes in. This has been awesome.
48:48Awesome. I really am excited about that legacy draft.
48:51I will geek out and watch you guys. So, looking forward to that.
48:56So, let's go on to our next subject. Chris had raised this, you know, sleeper offenses, right?
49:02There's, you know, I have my opinion on this.
49:05Obviously, we all do. But there are some teams, right, that always kind of, like last year, the Saints.
49:11No one thought a damn thing about the Saints last year, right?
49:16I mean, I'm using them as an example. And all of a sudden, you're mid-season.
49:21You're like, oh, you know, the Saints are kind of doing some stuff here, right?
49:26So, there are some sleeper offenses the guys want to talk about.
49:30Chris, why don't you start us off with some teams you think offensively may surprise everybody?
49:36I'm going to say my first one. And it's going to probably, you're all going to be like, what?
49:42That's gross. But just because of the news that's been circling the last couple days.
49:47But I still think there's room for this Cleveland Browns offense to...
49:52Oh, jeez. Exactly. See? Sorry, I wasn't muted. Sorry.
49:55This Cleveland Browns offense, just because of the weapons that are out there.
49:59Maybe it's going to take Watson, you know, being sat down after a couple games and Shador comes in and slings it.
50:07But it just looks like the, you know, the formula is there.
50:11Okay? Casey Concepcion looks like a star. Denzel Boston looks like a big outside target.
50:16Harold Fannin, we know what he can do as a tight end.
50:20Okay? In this league already. So that's three major pieces on offense with a running back that looks to be a legit
50:28running back and showed it last year in Quinchon Junkins.
50:31Okay? You add into the fact that you have a defense that is going to be a bottom five defense in the league.
50:39And I'm just talking in terms of, listen, we can name a lot of different teams, but we're talking teams that come
50:47out of nowhere to put up weekly production fantasy-wise.
50:50Okay? Cleveland's going to suck, no doubt about it.
50:53But there's a way for this offense to put 24 points up on the board each week.
50:59Okay? Playing from behind. We saw it last year with the Arizona Cardinals and Jacoby Brissett at the end of the year
51:07going up and down the field, slinging it with a bad defense.
51:11And sometimes you just need the formula and to get behind 17-0 in the first quarter and all hell breaks loose each week.
51:19I see a scenario where the Browns are like that.
51:22And then I see a scenario where the Cardinals are right back into 2025 mode again with the weapons they have.
51:29With Harrison, Wilson, and Trey McBride. We're drafting three guys in the top, you know, six rounds in these three major weapons.
51:37And if Jeremiah Love gets over his high ankle sprain here early in the season, we got four guys that are drafted in the top six rounds.
51:46On one offense, that's a completely forgotten about dumpster fire.
51:50So the Browns and the Cardinals, I wouldn't be shocked if they give some fantasy goodness.
51:55Listen, Maximus, I feel the same way. Yeah, yeah.
51:58I had to put this up. This is some BS.
52:02Vicaro, well done, Vicaro. Let me hear it. What are you guys going to say?
52:07The Green Bay Packers? No, but – Go ahead.
52:10Hold on a second. Hold on a second. Yeah.
52:13Go back to Cleveland. Go back to Cleveland. I think, you know, the owner is the reason why Watson is starting.
52:21I mean, it's dead money, but he's still trying to get some investment out.
52:25The first two games for Cleveland is on the road.
52:29And I think that's his leash. I don't think you see him when they come back to Cleveland.
52:35And I think that's where the Browns could possibly be a salvageable offense.
52:40We saw Shador will sling it. He's kind of like a junior version of Jameis.
52:45He's got a little Jameis in him, you know, where it's, you know, YOLO, just throw it up there.
52:51So I'm kind of with Chris. And my choice would have been the Cardinals because I don't get everybody saying it can't happen again.
53:00But they did absolutely nothing on defense. And they've added, you know, Jeremiah Love to that offense.
53:05So why not? Nelson, do you? Nelson's still recovering.
53:09Nelson's recovering from the Browns. I don't believe one word.
53:12Nelson's speechless. I don't believe one word you guys said.
53:16I'm not interested in Cleveland Browns players. I'm going to say Tennessee Titans is going to be my sneaky offense.
53:22Wait, so Deshaun Watson sucks, but Cam Ward is all world?
53:26Well, let's look at it this way. We know what Deshaun Watson is.
53:31In a second year, Ward, we don't, I don't think we can say that we know what he is.
53:37Okay. So I think that he's learning Brian Dable's offense.
53:41I think it's going to take a couple of weeks, but he's got the weapons on this offense, right?
53:47So you got Carnell Tate, top three pick in the NFL draft, who's a playmaker.
53:53You got old man Calvin Ridley, who's still there.
53:56You got Io Manor that's there making plays in camp.
53:59You got Gunnar Helm that's there. Paulett and Spears in the backfield.
54:03I'm just saying that. What about Wondell? How'd you pass on him?
54:07Sorry, sorry. Wondell Robinson. Okay. So when you, when you add it all up, I'm just saying if we're going to pick,
54:15you know, you picked a long shot with the Browns, like that's ugly, but the Titans are ugly too, right?
54:22Everyone's shitting on Cam Ward. Doesn't look good in the preseason.
54:26You know, all that stuff. So I look at it as, you know, yeah, that's, that's a dark horse offense.
54:33I'm not going to pick an easy one. I'll say outside of Wondell and Lake Spears, I'm actually kind of fading Tennessee now.
54:41I think Dabo gets a lot of accolades because of Josh Allen.
54:45And he wasn't the one that made Allen a good thrower.
54:48It was the quarterback guru and quarterback coach that they worked with on the offseason.
54:54So I'm not as high on the offensive coordinator as everyone else.
54:58I mean, I saw what he did with the Giants and it really wasn't impressive, to be honest with you.
55:05At least for me. I think two offenses to that could surprise if the quarterback play improves is Houston.
55:11I think, you know, they Montgomery adds a stable running back.
55:15They improve the line. You know, Stroud obviously flashed year one and hasn't since.
55:20But the words on Houston are things are coming together.
55:23So I think if they play any competent offense, that's a Super Bowl team.
55:28And the other team, I know you guys don't like the quarterback.
55:32I don't love him either. But I like the coach.
55:36I like the weapons is the Panthers. I think you got a lot of weapons in Carolina.
55:42I don't mean Darren Waller. But I do think between the two receivers and the running backs that and Canales can call a good game.
55:50If Bryce Young can just be good enough that that team could surprise in that division, especially in a division that's very winnable.
55:58What about the Jets? Nobody's mentioned the Jets. You got Brees Garrett Wilson going in.
56:04The Jets were actually third on my list, Matt.
56:07As much as Spitary hates the Jets. I don't know.
56:10He hates the Jets. He hates the Jets. Frank Reich.
56:14Frank Reich is the OC. Frank Reich is the OC.
56:17Let me just remind everyone that Frank Reich and their coach is a disaster.
56:22So when we're sitting here in November, not that I'll be hosting this wonderful show, but I'm telling you, I will be
56:29here and I'll be that guy to say, oh, we're talking about the Jets?
56:34We'll bring you on the victory lap. Yeah, we'll bring you on the victory lap.
56:39I'm here for that. But going back to Houston, you mentioned the Texans and a shout out to Pat Kerwin.
56:46He gave the nickname to Boote going there. I think he's really nice.
56:51Shoot the boot was the nickname he labeled him.
56:54I actually like that. That's what I'm going with going forward.
56:58I think that's a really good acquisition for them.
57:01He can play the X role perfectly. He can play the X role perfectly.
57:06That allows Collins to stay in that zero where he can really eat and possibly, you know, get that 30 percent share or more.
57:14Where were you guys on Jaden Higgins? Because I heard something interesting the other day on a soundbite from I think it was on NFL Network.
57:23The head coach said that Jaden Higgins at the time he went down was the best player in camp.
57:30Mm-hmm. I mean, I was – I'm very upset that he went down.
57:34I was kind of off in Nico because of him.
57:38Yeah. I had 17 percent Higgins. Oh, all right.
57:41So that stung. That stung. Yep. Jaden Higgins was your Ricky P for me early in the season.
57:47Okay. Yeah. I mean, listen, that just – that did two things.
57:51It took a nice sleeper wide receiver out of the top 100 with Jaden Higgins.
57:56And if the coach was saying he was the best player and saying that, knowing full well that he means over Nico
58:04Collins, you know, people were probably on the right track with not making Nico Collins a top 24 overall pick, which now he's starting to become.
58:13So I bet you that offense was going to be a little more spread out in the pass game if Jaden stayed healthy.
58:21And a tight end still productive there, Chris, right?
58:24Dalton Schultz, you know, he's a productive tight end who he likes to go to.
58:29That's an interesting team this year. If they really get any offense going and that defense plays like they did last year,
58:37I mean, they could have steamrolled everybody in the Super Bowl if they were competent on offense.
58:43Okay, guys. So we are – Schultz is the AFC version of Juwan Johnson.
58:47You know, that's the NFC guy. You got the AFC guy.
58:51I think he's the AFC version of Jake Ferguson in Dallas.
58:55Oh, be careful. Oh, I thought you meant the other Ferguson.
58:59Oh, no, I remember. Are you kidding me? There's a certain – That'll be texting me cursing me out.
59:05Everybody here will be cursing me out. I have my list of Matt Modica trigger words.
59:11If my case is not going to spell, I'm going to use it just to see the sky explode and that hat go flying off.
59:19Commercial break. He's going to go smoke a cigarette outside if that was what happened.
59:25Well, it is time for our few seconds of silence.
59:28So everybody, please take our moment of silence here.
59:31And begin. Thank you, Nelson. That's it. I knew Nelson would – Let us pray.
59:36I was hoping he was coming back with an amen.
59:40Yeah, so there you go, Matt. So I think Hobbes says the Colossians 323, you're in.
59:45There you go. This has become the Holy Ruler hour.
59:49We're going to do Bible study here. We're going to come on and we're going to turn it into a religious show.
59:56I have kept my language. I know. It's much more people.
60:00This is very hard. I'll be back to my X-rated show on Sunday nights.
60:05Yeah. On Cinevax After Hours. Cinevax. He used to call it Skinamax.
60:09The Skinamax After Hours of me and Matt Modica.
60:12This Sunday we're on at 8 o'clock, Matt. So we got to – Baby Heidi's got to be before you and I go on.
60:21All right, guys. So in terms of sleeper offense, I think we covered that.
60:26Let's go on to the primetime board review because let me – let's move that up and let me share the board from last evening.
60:34So this is the freshest primetime board, folks, that you're going to see.
60:39This was the draft Nelson and I participated in last night.
60:42So you guys want to take a look here.
60:46And we talked about some of this. But, Chris, maybe start off with some quick observations of what you see here and
60:53the board and some of the trends we've been talking about.
60:57Jeez. Wait a minute. Do you got – what do you got?
61:01Round four you're starting at here? What do you have up?
61:05There you go. Yeah, you got to go up.
61:08There you go. Come on, rookie. This isn't your first row here.
61:12I tell you, for a guy that – All right, you're going to be a clown.
61:18What do I see here? The guy that's the most computer illiterate human being on the planet takes a shot at me every time I screw up something.
61:27If we gave Vicaro the tools to this, Lord knows what would happen.
61:32The show wouldn't have started. Yeah. The show wouldn't have started.
61:36Chris would have like an AOL chat room for the – Everybody go on the AOL chat room and talk about –
61:43Oh, I would have just took the plug out of the wall.
61:47I'm not in the building. Hold up. Matt, you have no idea what he's even saying.
61:53Trust me. It is real. Chris, if you haven't – You boot everything.
61:57It'll work. That's what I tell my mother. Let's take it out of the wall.
62:03I tell my father the same thing. He calls me up.
62:06My TV's not working. Take the plugs out of the wall and put them back in.
62:12In fact, I'm all a cable company. I got nothing for you.
62:16This is the – I mean, I'm four rows off on the board.
62:21What are you doing with the technology? Oh, Chris, by the way, I heard you got new TVs.
62:27Do you need me to go down and program your wife?
62:31Nelson, don't get me started, man. I had a six-man team at the bar all Sunday.
62:36They got in at 9 in the morning. They left at 12 at night.
62:41I spent the whole day trying to reprogram TVs with them and passwords.
62:45We had to go into every streaming service and set up pins and passwords.
62:50It was the biggest disaster day of my life.
62:53Anyway, back to the board. Back to the board.
62:57Do you have – Hold on. But do you have like YouTube and YouTube TV and all that stuff at home?
63:04Yeah, on my TV, yes. Because like you can just, you know, scan a barcode or whatever and – Nelson, look who you're talking to, Nelson.
63:13Nelson, we're going down a dark road. You might as well talk Japanese to me.
63:18I mean, it's just what it is. Nelson's trying to be my tech guy.
63:23Like, Terry's got that job already, Nelson. He really wants that booth.
63:27Yeah. All right, sorry. I'll come set up the TVs with you.
63:31All right, Nelson. You got the booth. All right, all right.
63:35All right. Anyway, geez. This is the first time I'm seeing this board, Paul, from what I – this was last night's one?
63:43Yeah, this was last night's. I mean, you want to take a minute, Chris, because obviously I participated.
63:49I'll just take a minute. Yeah, give it to Nelson first because he was in the draft.
63:55He knows what – What are we talking about?
63:58What do you want me to – Do we want to do a team-by-team or no?
64:04Yeah, we'll go team-by-team. Yeah, I think that's the way we do it.
64:08That's the way we do it here, rookie. Okay.
64:11Well, yeah, it started off on the other stream that we host, Matt.
64:16I'm not – Sorry, Chris. Something in my throat that we started doing that months ago.
64:21Go ahead, Matt. You start. Go ahead, Matt. Yeah.
64:24I mean, team one, I like the build. I mean, structurally, it's really sound.
64:29You get Jack – you get Lamar. We get him.
64:33I mean, even if you don't like Kelsey, you got likely Kelsey.
64:37And as long as Kelsey's on the field with Mahomes, he's going to get targets.
64:42I mean, I don't care how old or how fat he gets, he's getting the ball.
64:48So, yeah. I mean, from a – The thing I – for me personally that would really bother me is having Cam Ward as my backup.
64:56I would like a better one than that. But, you know, I'm not going to pick apart the players.
65:03I think the build is actually really good. And what you should be doing from the one spot there, Scadaboo at the 5-6 turn, I would never pass.
65:13I don't care. Even if you don't like Scadaboo, you have to take him there.
65:18This team's drafted pretty perfectly, in my opinion. After Gibbs, you hit three wide – He's a good drafter, Bob.
65:25Let me cut you off, Chris. I don't know who Twos is, but he's a good drafter.
65:31Yeah. Yeah, I see him a lot. TJ Twos, I think, is his name.
65:36You get your RB2 at that turn with a perfect wide receiver four to complete.
65:41Your two running backs, four receivers through six, which I think you need to be on the left side of the board.
65:48You come back. You hit another upside running back as your RB3 in the next round with Trey Hendo.
65:55And then an elite top five wide quarterback in Lamar.
65:58You get some more running back depth, another lotto ticket in Keaton Mitchell that if Hampton ever went down, Keaton Mitchell's probably
66:06a weekly upside RB2 in your lineup. And then you put your tight end room together with a little veteran and an upside pick in Likely.
66:15So I like everything the guy did. That 7-8 turn is insane, though.
66:19Even if you – like Trevion. Again, if you don't like him, but you're getting that upside shot there.
66:26Yeah. You know, there. It was just – I mean, listen, Nelson, you and Paul were in this draft.
66:33Did you have the feel of just looking at the board of another everybody was waiting on quarterback?
66:39Like, look at this board. You don't see any – you know, you don't see the pink until rounds nine and later, basically.
66:47We'll talk about team two that jumped to borrow a little bit.
66:51But other than that, no quarterbacks for seven rounds.
66:54Yeah, that was part of – yeah, Nelson said when I took May – we'll talk about my team.
67:01But when I took May in the 8th, Chris, I was just like, the value's here.
67:06I don't know why I should pass up Drake May in round eight.
67:11He's QB1 potentially. Potentially, maybe QB2 after Josh Allen.
67:14But I'm like, what? Am I going to pass on him for Romeo Dubs?
67:19No, I'm going to take the top quarterback and add that to my team.
67:23So, yeah, I think these were tough drafts, Chris.
67:27I don't know if Nelson – I mean, you do these as much or more than I do.
67:33But, you know, I felt that no gifts in a draft like this, and you've got to make smart picks along the
67:40way is how I felt last night, Chris. Yeah.
67:43Yeah, and listen, Paul, you made the right move with Drake May.
67:48Eighth round every time. Yes. If everyone's sitting back and wants to wait on quarterback, there's going to be the value with May, Lamar, and usually Burrow.
67:57So, you know, you guys took that with May and Lamar in the one hole.
68:02Nelson, team one, any comments? I mean, I think it's great.
68:06These guys have said enough. I don't know if you want to add anything to it.
68:11No. I focus more on these boards as far as, like, how they put the team together, and it was done well.
68:19I like the team. So, Nelson, lead us off on team two.
68:23What do you think of how team two put us together?
68:27So I get it that, like, it potentially looks like a deal with Gentry there, with Bijan, but, like, I don't really
68:35– I wasn't a fan of this team as he was, like, putting it together.
68:40I was curious on the Joe Burrow pick in the sixth round.
68:44If you're a big fan of Joe Burrow, why didn't you take Tee Higgins when he fell to you instead of McMillan?
68:52So I had, like, a lot of questions. And then I'm like, you fired up Joe Burrow unstacked with no Chase, no
68:59Higgins, and then you fire up Caleb Williams in the tenth round to back up Burrow.
69:05So I was, like – I was really scratching my head as this team was put – you know, as this owner
69:12was putting the team together, and I just wasn't, like, a big fan of it.
69:17I feel like the receivers are a little bit weak.
69:21Like, I think McMillan Adams is fine. Like, Sutton as a number three could be fine.
69:26But I didn't think he needed quorum there in the seventh round.
69:31I feel like once you have, like, two big guys, maybe I would have just handcuffed Gentty with Washington at that point, at that 7-8 turn.
69:40Just some different ideas. But, like, yeah, I don't – wasn't a big fan of, like, the build.
69:46The Caleb pick on this build is just fire into the sun.
69:50Like, just an absolute – tell me your computer went off.
69:54Like, there's absolutely no reason – Maybe pull the plug at that point, Chris.
69:59Maybe pull the plug. You had a reboot, Paul.
70:02Yeah, but now and then you need a good reboot, right?
70:06Right, right. Just pull the plug and all the viruses go away.
70:10Yeah, that's exactly how viruses go away. That's it.
70:13I would say from a structure point, this is unsound, and he would not pass the building.
70:19Maybe the Gentty pick threw him off, you know, with the build.
70:23But I don't have a problem with the Gentty pick either.
70:27You're going to roll the dice. Just say, you know, we get information today or tomorrow with Gentty, and they're like, hey,
70:34he's got a good shot to be opening day.
70:37Well, at least now, you know, you put a rare combination together of Bijan and Gentty that probably nobody is going to
70:45have in the prime time across all the drafts out of the two-hole.
70:49And, you know, we don't like – maybe don't like the names of the receivers, but it's two running backs, three receivers.
70:57The problem I have is the same as Nelson's where you go to Burrow here.
71:02You needed to go right back to receiver or, you know, or an upside or a third running back in my opinion.
71:10But it is what it is there. You needed to come back to your wide receiver room a lot quicker.
71:17There's a lot of question marks. And then you go with a rookie who's banged up and lemon as your four.
71:24So the dinner bell's ringing for someone over here?
71:27Is that you, Spatari? That's not me. I think the – I have mine off.
71:32I don't know. But I think my mic is so super strong.
71:36It's picking up everything. It's picking up everything. It really is.
71:40I tried texting. Everybody's going to say Spatari, man.
71:43Real heavy breather. I didn't realize that this is such a famous production that you got.
71:49I mean, the audio on here. Man, maybe Dan has got an NBC studio somewhere in Minnesota.
71:55I need to get a hold of them. Let's look at Team 3 here real quick.
72:00I'll start out. I mean, I love – the build to me is this is how it's done.
72:06I mean, it's what you do. He waits for Dak, gets the three receivers to start.
72:12Premium tight end. I love the way Team 3 built.
72:15Chris, why don't you start with Team 3? I love it too, especially when you could clip Tyler Warren.
72:22I've been saying this. Out of the three hole, a lot of players are opting to take that fourth wide receiver in the fourth round, right?
72:31It seems pretty obvious. You get Jamar Chase or Puka in that three, four hole.
72:36In the second round, you come back. You know, you're looking at a lot of great wide receivers.
72:42So most likely you're taking the neighbors, the Collins, the Londons, the Pickens.
72:47You know, all these guys are right there for you, okay, to build off two wide receivers.
72:53Then when you get to the end of the third round in these spots, it's wide receiver heaven as well.
73:00So the guy does exactly that out of the three hole.
73:04Starts off with three big wide receivers. What I like that he does is he doesn't force the fourth receiver because I
73:11feel like it closes you off to possibilities as the draft goes on.
73:16He then goes and starts his running back room with his RB1 and gets Javante Williams.
73:21I can't see. It's too strong. It's Kyron. Whatever.
73:24Again, this isn't about players. It's about builds. I like starting off the running back room in that spot in the fourth round.
73:32And when you could clip your second running back in the fifth round and make it a good one and then come
73:40back around and land an upside top four tight end in Tyler Warren, it's money.
73:45Okay. I would have been hard pressed not to take Tyler Warren where he took price, but he pulls off both.
73:52And then he waits on quarterback because I think that if you are the Tyler Warren or Colston Loveland owner or even
74:00the McBride or Bowers, you got to wait on quarterback.
74:03It's tough to pull off the top four tight end and an elite quarterback in the first six rounds.
74:10It's going to make your receiver room or running back room real thin.
74:14So he completed everything here. I really like the team.
74:18At tight end, I know we just talked about it, but maybe not a necessity with a Tyler Warren on the roster.
74:25But, you know, he's got the upside sitting on his bench in Terrence Ferguson.
74:30My only critique would be, and it's not that it's a bad player.
74:35He took the lay in the 16th. I would have went Daniel Jones.
74:39I think he's an upside quarterback that goes late.
74:42And I would have taken that shot just to have a, you know, a backup with an upside possibility.
74:49Did he not draft a backup quarterback? No, he did have to Bryce Young.
74:54But at the last one, I just rolled up to there.
74:58All right, Team 4, Nelson, what do you think of Team 4's build?
75:02You know, he went back and forth, receiver, running back.
75:06Pushed it back on QB, still got two good quarterbacks.
75:09The tight end room I'm not a fan of.
75:12I don't know. Like, it's okay. But, like, I'm not in love with the team.
75:17I'm not going to give the guy a hard time, you know, too much.
75:22But I think there's a little too many running backs in the first 10 rounds maybe.
75:28But I like all the players that he took.
75:31Okay. Yeah, I'm not walking out of the draft if this is my team and I'm, like, swinging it.
75:37It's, like Nelson said, it's not bad. It's not great.
75:41You're not swinging it, Matt, I'm assuming. He's not swinging it side to side, no.
75:46Yeah, I'm assuming not your Louisville slugger, Matt. Swinging, okay.
75:49Team 5. I'm familiar with your game, Matt. Or maybe he's swinging the New Testament or something after his religious outcry today.
75:57Team 5, who's somebody you guys know very well.
76:00Chris, why don't you start with Team 5, a very common combatant of yours in the high stakes.
76:06Yeah. Yeah. You know, I can understand. Three wide receivers and then, you know, he had to take McBride in the fourth, I'm sure he felt.
76:15Starts off his running back room after that. You know what?
76:19I can't. I think when I originally saw this team, I was like, whoa, this looks all over the place.
76:26But to me, I'm fine with this. You know, I don't understand the whole three quarterbacks in the middle.
76:33But I like all three quarterbacks. Maybe he just feels like after, if he doesn't have an elite one, he's got to
76:40then go and put a bigger quarterback room together.
76:43I would have been fine with just, you know, taking Trevor Lawrence and then a backup a couple rounds later.
76:50That's decent. But he goes with three straight quarterbacks.
76:53I would have built out the wide receiver room a little more in that pocket right there from 10 to 12.
77:01Would you have, like for me, if he takes Pat Bryant where he took Purdy and then gets Knicks, you know, you
77:08get another guy with a really nice upside and a possible stack there with the Bronco running back combination he had.
77:15Yeah, that's what I'm saying, Matt. I don't get the three quarterbacks.
77:20I don't question Santos. I'm the same way when the draft was playing out.
77:24I'm like, all right, he's got the Harvey Coleman connection.
77:28So he's got the, you know, part of the Denver backfield.
77:32I would have bypassed Purdy and taken a wide receiver there and said, okay, I got Bo Nix, you know, to go with a couple of Denver guys.
77:41So I'm with Matt that if he takes Pat Bryant, now I'm seeing kind of the story of like, okay, he's got
77:49kind of like this backdoor, you know, Denver stack to go with, you know, Lawrence, who should be really solid, you know, 10th round.
77:57But I think when you look at like the rookies at receiver, like he's got Casey and Lane and Douglas.
78:04That's it. Not a lot of tickets, but the quarterback thing is confusing to me, to be honest with you.
78:11I mean, like Bo Nix is just eating up a roster spot at this point, you know, when are you going to play Bo Nix?
78:20Maybe he loves all three and he wants to play the mix and match game, you know.
78:26I just think you need another body in the wide receiver or running back room at that point.
78:32Yeah, the only thing I'll point out, Chris, you and I, maybe even Matt, debated, is it JSN or Amon Ra at five?
78:40And he took JSN, just something, you know, tomato, tomato.
78:43But I think we all had different arguments on is JSN going to fade a little bit?
78:49Should he be ahead of St. Brown? I think you'll see those flip-flop, you know, even this summer.
78:55Paul, that's fine. And we can bring this up as a quick topic.
79:00You know, Nelson, I think you're in the same camp with me with Amon Ra over the other two.
79:06For me, I want wide receivers that, besides the Puka head case and a groin injury and always feeling nicked up and
79:14everything, when I look at these three in the space, Puka, JSN, Amon Ra, there's one glaring issue for me compared to the other two.
79:23The Rams and the Seahawks are two of the best defenses in football.
79:27What I want in fantasy is shootout games, back and forth games, okay?
79:32Can you see the Rams or the Seahawks on a weekly basis playing 38-31 games with those defenses?
79:38I can't. The Lions defense, I could see 38-31 on a regular basis.
79:42So for me, even though I don't maybe necessarily think Amon Ra is better as a wide receiver than JSN or Puka,
79:50maybe talent-wise, the other two are more talented than Amon Ra, we're playing a fantasy game here.
79:56And a lot of times, players are more productive in better situations than in the ones that Puka and JSN are.
80:03So that, to me, is the tiebreaker for me this year is between them.
80:08I don't know how Nelson and Matt feel. I don't know if that leads into the—I don't know if they want to comment on that.
80:17I'll comment on the fact that I just love the Lions as a bounce-back number one.
80:22I love the fact that they have a last-place schedule.
80:26And I do think their head coach, you know, after the disappointing season they had last year, really wants to put the pedal down.

81:35I'll still take Puker at 4. I just think he's that good.
81:39He's like the Julio Jones now. Yeah, so he's nicked up and, you know, looks like he's hurt on every play.
81:46But he's just so dominant. And in that offense, being the wide receiver 1, I have to keep him at 4.
81:53All right, so baby Matt, why don't you start us off looking at Team 6?
81:59Speaking of Amon Ra, what do you think of Team 6, Matt?
82:03I mean, look, you know, I'm not a fan of going to three running backs after that.
82:09Like, Swift to me got jumped a bit. I could get a similar running back as Swift, in my opinion, in the fifth round.
82:17Look, I like Swift. I think he's a solid pick.
82:20Like, everybody has this guy, like, as a bell cow, and he's just like, you know.
82:26Ben Johnson uses two running backs. You look at the usage last year.
82:30Him and Monongai were pretty much similar in the red zone, goal line touches.
82:35Again, I like Swift a lot, but I could have got a similar back around later.
82:41And I could have got a Parker Washington and DJ Moore, Christian Watson, J-Mo, whoever.
82:46There, I mean, he did go back and get receivers.
82:49But for me, I think in a league where I'm – I get it.
82:54His flex is Swift. But I think he passed up on just, you know, the way I have it ranked.
83:01Just too many good wide receivers there in that fourth round.
83:05I mean, is it a bad team? No. But for me personally, I would have gone with more wide receivers, especially in that fourth round.
83:14Chris, what do you think, Chris? You haven't really seen too many builds.
83:18I'm fine with two, you know, like two wide receivers and three running backs through five rounds.
83:24It's just you don't see it this way with one wide receiver, three straight running backs, and then go back to the wide receiver position.
83:33I don't see that many builds like this. And I think it just looks a little off.
83:38You know, I think I need a better wide receiver too than Harrison in the fifth round.
83:44So, you know, other than that, let's see. Stafford and Murray, Andrews and Pitts.
83:49I don't know. Nelson, do you see anything that's glaring after that?
83:53Nelson's on mute. Nelson, you're on mute, Nelson. Mute.
83:56I'm a fan of Mason, but I think I keep hammering wide receiver at that pick.
84:02Other than that, I can't critique too much. I think you can do a Monra with like a three running back build
84:10if you feel like those three running backs are it.
84:13But I think I'm taking the receiver instead of Swift there in the fourth round because I can get someone very similar
84:21to Swift, I think, in the fifth round. If not, Swift himself comes back.
84:25All right. So let's go on to Team 7.
84:29Nelson, why don't you start out with this Team 7 draft?
84:32I like Ficaro last on this one. Team 7.
84:36He jumped Chase Brown a little early. That's a little early for my taste.
84:40I think Drake London is a bust this year.
84:43So I think that's a bad pick. You know, Garrett Wilson, it's the Jets offense.
84:49Yeah, shit all over the Jets, but then draft the Jet.
84:52Ah, you gotta love it. No, no, no. All kidding aside.
84:56This is why I don't talk to him. Can we say one thing, though?
85:01Yeah. He basically did what Team 6 did, the three running backs, you know, just differently.
85:07And just, I don't know. I look out, but Matt, exactly what I was just saying is you see through six rounds,
85:14you know, three receivers and three running backs. But it's different when it's done the way Paul did it compared to the way Team 6 did it.
85:24But I, yeah, I just like the way that goes so much better.
85:28Yeah. Maybe it's my personal opinion. Yeah. I think it's always because we're, I think in our minds, we need the heavy
85:36wide receiver room for the depth, okay? And then we're willing to roll the dice on the RB2 position more than the
85:43wide receiver two or wide receiver three position on our fantasy teams in the NFFC.
85:48So I think that's what it comes down to.
85:52Yeah, guys. Yeah, I think Paul did a really good job with, you know, going London, Wilson, and then he gets DJ Moore to fall.
86:00You know, I think the receivers didn't get quite cleaned up in this draft in the fourth round.
86:06So I think, I think in another prime time, you know, you do a prime time tonight.
86:12I think all those receivers are gone early fourth round.
86:16The three that just went off the board, you know, Moore, Washington, and Watson, even Jameson.
86:21So I think he did well to get DJ Moore there, ties up the receiver room nice, comes back with Montgomery, and
86:29then he felt in the sixth round, there was no wide receiver that he really liked.
86:34So he went with the upside of Brooks, comes back to receiver, takes the value in Drake May.
86:41See, it's a typical middle of the draft team.
86:44Yeah. Out of the sixth, seventh hole is in the middle of the draft, you can just go and just pick off the value.
86:52So players fall, they're good players, you like them, and they fall a little past their ADP, and you just pluck away.
87:00And that's what Paul did, you know, throughout the draft.
87:03So I like the team. Yeah. Yeah. Paul, I'll say this.
87:07I think this is probably one of your best drafts that I've seen.
87:11No, you're drafting really well all summer. Nelson, you know, Nelson, that took a lot for him to say, by the way.
87:19What's the equation with Paul drafting well all summer?
87:22The pain that I feel. The pain that I feel right now saying this to him.
87:28I might unplug my computer right now just to reset after Chris giving me a compliment.
87:33I should have, in the middle of complimenting you, I should have ripped the plug out of the wall.
87:40Get rid of the virus. Wait, you were just about to say something, guys.
87:45Get rid of the virus. Get rid of the virus.
87:48Now, listen, there's a lot of things you did right in this draft here.
87:53And I've been saying it. I'll say it again.
87:56You get a Jonathan Brooks, a Trey Henderson, a Blake Corum, those guys that are one injury away from being a monster.
88:04You get them as your RB3 at a good value in the sixth or seventh, depending on how you build.
88:10And it's big. And you still are able to complete your wide receiver room with a solid wide receiver four and read.
88:18And then you get an elite quarterback. And you still clip a halfway decent tight end in Dallas Goddard.
88:25So you know that as you're building this team, your tight end room is going to be, I guess, I don't want
88:32to say your weakness, but not your strength. OK?
88:35I'm trying to see the names. I'm really going blind here, guys.
88:40Those reading glasses are in your future. Yeah. What'd you get?
88:43What I was looking for was who your backup tight end was.
88:47AJ Barner. Oh, so nobody. OK. I do like Goddard a lot, though.
88:52I think Goddard is a really solid pick there.
88:55I think it's the right pick, I think, from what I see.
88:59Yes. Likely, then Goddard. Uh, yeah. Listen, you could have.
89:03No, that's it. I mean, two things for me, Chris, just as I was going through the draft, guys, that we'll go on to the next team.
89:12When I took DJ Moore, I was hoping Josh Allen, because I said, oh, maybe Josh Allen and the quarterback dip comes back to me.
89:21And I would have hit him there instead of Brooks.
89:24So that was one thing I was looking at.
89:27In terms of tight end, uh, I debated a tight end when I took May, which was, uh, which was Kincaid over the other two.
89:36But I, again, I did not want to pass.
89:39May was the right call. Yeah. Yeah. And then when Nelson was up at team nine, I said, based on Nelson's build,
89:47the fact that the premium quarterbacks are gone in Nelson's eyes, as I was guessing Nelson for you, that I thought you
89:54would take Kincaid there and I would have liked to get him coming back.
89:59So at that point, I'm like, all right, my tight ends aren't there.
90:04I looked around the board. I said, well, if I'm going to take a value in Addison, because I'd want to just
90:11add some depth at receiver and I will take what tight end is left of the Goddard Ferguson Andrews crew.
90:18And I got Goddard. So that was just my mindset as I was picking.
90:23Yeah. Paul, you were never going to get Allen to come back to you if Nelson was in the nine hole.
90:30That's the first thing. Second thing, you know, at that point, if somehow you did, you'd be able to get to be
90:38sacrificing your RB to a solid RB to. So think about, would you rather have had Josh Allen as your quarterback with
90:45Jonathan Brooks as your RB to and then something else down the road or the fact that you got Drake May who
90:53most people have as their QB to right instead.
90:56Yeah, it looks better with a solid RB to in Montgomery.
91:00Yeah, you're right. A hundred percent. It looks better.
91:03It feels better that way. All right. So we just got a couple of minutes left, guys.
91:09Uh, let's do this little speed dating teammate Nelson.
91:12Yeah. So teammate, uh, elected to go with a Chan in the second round.
91:17I'm good with James cook. I like James cook this year.
91:21Uh, but a Chan in the second round, that's where the draft starts.
91:25Right. And I think that's debatable, whether you go with a receiver there or do you take the two running back approach?
91:33Um, I, I like the two receivers he got.
91:36I'm not into Mike Evans this year. Uh, even in the fifth round, that's just, you know, personal opinion.
91:42Um, six round Judkins. I think he felt like that was good value there, um, for Judkins.
91:48So he elected to do the same thing as you, Paul, where he went with, uh, three running backs through six rounds.
91:56So three and three. And then he, uh, fired off a couple of more receivers, running backs, receivers, and he pushed his,
92:03uh, QBs and tight ends to the max. Uh, I'm fine leaving a draft with dart and Mayfield, but I'm not overly excited, um, about it.
92:12And then Jawan Johnson, Brenton strange in this format, it's non tight end premium.
92:17It, it could work out again, not really something that I'm looking to do and push it, you know, that far back.
92:25So I think it's a solid draft. Uh, but there's like a couple of things I would have done different with the QB and tight end.
92:34I think this, this manager is going to have a lot of decisions on Sundays, uh, every week when you go this
92:41type of build and your wide receiver room after the top two is a, is a cluster of, you know, everything, you
92:49know, good receivers, stribbling golden when Jacoby Myers, you're going to be playing a lot of matchups each week.
92:56Same thing with your running backs with gain, well, and junkens are they in the flex is the receivers in the flex.
93:03Uh, there's nothing solidified in this lineup other than, you know, your top four or five round picks right there.
93:10It's, it's a cluster. Then you're going to have to go to your quarterback position and mix and match between dart Mayfield and Jones each week.
93:19And the same thing at the tight end. So he's going to have his work cut out on this type of build,
93:27uh, putting his lineup together every week. I think the problem with the tight end for him was Kincaid went to pick
93:34before him in nine and pull to Godward, uh, Goddard right before him in 10.
93:40And at that point I would have pushed it too.
93:43I'd have been like, you know what? So I think that, I mean the, the quarterbacks I'm actually fine with.
93:50I like, that's the time where you go three quarterbacks here too.
93:54And you can get like a, you have dark Mayfield who I really like.
93:59And then you add Jones to the mix. I do like the fact that he took Evans and Stribbler.
94:05I think, you know, I think that was a nice pairing for the, you know, wide receivers.
94:11But why not? But why not when you took Jordan Tyson, okay, as your six, who's hurt?
94:17Why not pull the trigger on a Jaden Daniels?
94:20And even if you don't like Jaden Daniels, it's still Jalen Hurts on the board and Brock Purdy.
94:27I probably would have went Purdy because I'm doing that stack.
94:30I would have, you know, I like to stack.
94:33So for me, that would have been the move.
94:37All right. Delson's team. Chris, quick view of Delson's team.
94:40I mean, I like solid in my, as expected.
94:43No, no, no, Paul. Don't, don't say it's solid.
94:46I want Chris to have his own opinion on it.
94:50Yeah. Oh, he will. I will. It's, who's, who's, oh, Michael Wilson.
94:54Yeah. Listen, it's put together really well. You know, you get three running backs in the, in the first eight rounds.
95:01Merit's coming off the bench. You get JT as your bell cow and two in an upside RB too that I like as well.
95:09You do what you usually do for wide receivers after.
95:13Maybe I don't necessarily agree, agree with the players there.
95:16But it is what it is. It's two running backs and four wide receivers, the way it's supposed to be from this spot on the board.
95:25You get a really good tight end in Kincaid at the right price.
95:30And then you, you waited on quarterback and you still got Jalen Hurts.
95:34So, I mean, there's, there's no issues here. You know, I'd love to shit on Nelson, but you know, he put together a great build.
95:43All right. Team 10, Matt, a guy who's a very experienced drafter.
95:47What do you think about team 10? Yeah. I mean, there's no way I'm not taking powers in the third, I guess.
95:55I mean, I just, I just probably couldn't pass that up.
95:59And, you know, he did the right thing. We've seen in these, you know, OCs all summer.
96:04We've seen there's a couple of guys that really like going three running backs.
96:09And if you are going to make a commitment like that, or the two running backs tight end, you just have to pound yellow.
96:18And, you know, that's what he did for the next five rounds.
96:22He didn't worry about any values that would have fallen to him, say quarterback wise and stuff.
96:28And he just, he got that accomplished. So whether you like the players or not, I think he executed it.
96:34It's not, it's never going to look aesthetically pleasing when you start out.
96:39Two running backs and a tight end. But to get Jaden Daniels, where he got him.
96:44I mean, everything I hear about Mahomes in camp is he looks great.
96:49You know, maybe he's not running the first month, but they have that week five bye.
96:54Still Pat Mahomes. So, you know, good player. This is an interesting build, right, Matt?
97:00Like, you don't see this. And one that I'm sure that, you know, you obviously have no clue that Bowers is coming
97:07back to you in the third round. But man, I'm sure he wish he would have, you know, started off his wide
97:15receiver room in round two or one, you know, whatever.
97:18But, you know, to take McCaffrey at 10, you're going to do that.
97:23You come back. Maybe he's in love with Ken Walker.
97:26He takes that. No issues there. Then you expect when you build off two running backs in that nine through 12 hole,
97:34you're like, I'm in great position to start my wide receiver room.
97:38But then you get hit with this with Bowers right there.
97:42So you take him and then you then he built it right.
97:46You got to go all yellow after that. And he did.
97:50So. That's. Yeah. He built it right. Nelson, anything on that?
97:54No, he knows how to build teams. Yeah. Nelson, team 11, because we got to wrap up in a couple of minutes here.
98:02Uh, team 11, I'm fine with the Hampton Jefferson start.
98:05Go McConkie, uh, gets a little bit of a deal on, on Loveland.
98:10He usually goes, you know, early mid fourth. Reese Hall, uh, gets a deal on him in the fifth round.
98:16Um, and then I feel like at that point is where the, the wheels fell off, uh, for him.
98:23So I, I was good with this team up until then.
98:27Mm-hmm I don't get the kiddo pick. Um, I get the Herbert pick, but like, you got to build up that wide
98:34receiver room because outside of like, I know Pierce, like there's good news coming in on Pierce, uh, as the show's going
98:42on right now that he's supposed to return to practice at some point this week.
98:47Um, so I don't mind it. Like the kiddo pick is just a head scratcher.
98:52Like I said, and then Aaron Jones, like. Like he goes later than this 10th round.
98:58I don't need Aaron Jones there. I feel like you got to build up the wide receiver room.
99:04You got to have capable wide receivers to play.
99:07And I just don't think like, I don't see it, you know, with the, this team.
99:13So I think, you know, he went off script a little bit in those middle rounds.
99:18Which is, which sucked because he got Brees hole in the fifth and stuff like that.
99:24You know, you got Loveland. So I agree with Nelson though.
99:28That's it. All right. So let's wrap up team 12.
99:31Chris, what do you think of team 12? Uh, starts off great.
99:35A little risky to make your RB one. Um, I would have passed on love here.
99:41I would have went Allen, uh, at the turn.
99:44And then, uh, I would have took all over love, but I guess, listen, uh, I don't want to talk players.
99:51I guess, uh, craft Laporta double combo tight end.
99:54Uh, he's going to flex out Laporta probably booty.
99:57Nah, he needed more at the wide receiver position.
100:00Uh, he, he went away from the wide, his strength, which is the three, uh, top wide receivers.
100:07Um, he totally abandoned it. Really? He only drafted five.
100:10He never went back. Yeah. He kind of, I mean, boot a boot day.
100:15And, and I think that's tanked out. No, Chris bell.
100:18Oh, Chris bell. Yeah. That's, um, yeah, the wheels can't kind of fell off over here.
100:24Um, after, uh, the first, uh, five rounds in my opinion.
100:28So, uh, so anyway, guys, I think we're going to wrap up.
100:32We have, uh, we've covered a lot of topics today.
100:35Nelson, you are off to the, the mountain desert of the West.
100:40So safe travels for you and good luck on Thursday.
100:43Chris, Matt, and I will be hosting a primetime special where Chris and Matt will put their minds together.
100:50You guys have a draft spot for that yet?
100:53We do not. There's only three spots filled. So, uh, for anybody that wants to compete against the fantasy empire primetime Thursday night, eight o'clock.
101:01Nelson, we'll make you proud. Don't worry about it.
101:04I appreciate it. You know, you'll get, you'll get either a signed coffee mug from Chris, a signed pack of smokes from
101:12Matt or a cutoff t-shirt signed by me. If you come ahead of these two guys in the primetime, Nelson may go
101:20draft for the play just to, just to win the prize.
101:23So we'll be back. What time is that on Thursday guys?
101:27Nelson's probably going to enter. Wait, Nelson's probably going to enter against us.
101:32Yeah. With the Greek. Most, most light, we're going to be sitting next to each other.
101:37Most likely the Greeks like, I got nothing to do.
101:41Let's draft against those guys. Let's go. Let's go.
101:44What time are we on Thursday? Eight or 10?
101:47Is it, is it eight o'clock on Thursday guys?
101:50Yes. I believe so. Eight o'clock on Thursday. These Sam, these same channels, uh, guys, it's been great.
101:56I've been lucky to host. Thanks for having me.
101:59I'm going to go back. Chris, take the bus to Indianapolis.
102:03I think I'm pitching against the Rochester Redwigs back tomorrow.
102:07So again, I'm off the big league roster back at, you know, $30 a day meal money pitching in the minor leagues, but everybody, thank you for watching.
102:16Thank you for supporting us. Thanks for having me host guys.
102:20It's been great. So everyone, thank you. And we'll be back Thursday and the boys will be back next Tuesday with the next fantasy empire.
102:29Tune in. Thank you everybody. Atta boy. Paulie. Yeah.
102:32Great job. Just a different show. Just a different level of energy.
