Jaylen Waddle

NegativeInjury6:43

Jaylen Waddle is dealing with a muscle strain that caused a noticeable limp at practice. While expected to miss only 4-5 days, his history of injuries and the team's tendency to spread the ball around create concern.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveSleeper25:46

Jonah Coleman is receiving positive buzz from Sean Payton. While currently RB53, he is a candidate to emerge in the Broncos' backfield if J.K. Dobbins or R.J. Harvey falter.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveValue2:29

Jonathan Taylor signed a two-year, $44 million extension with the Colts. He is currently being drafted around 6th overall, though B. John Robinson questions his value relative to other top-tier options like Amon-Ra St. Brown and CeeDee Lamb.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeInjury10:21

Josh Jacobs is missing time with a groin injury, a recurring issue for him. With Marshawn Lloyd taking first-team reps and Jacobs' lack of explosive playmaking, his RB14 ADP (29th overall) is becoming risky.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeValue5:01

Stefon Diggs signed a one-year, $12 million deal with the Commanders. While his ADP is officially WR57, he is frequently being drafted in the 40s alongside players like Chris Godwin and Jordan Addison, a price point B. John Robinson is skeptical of.

Insight page

Tank Dell

0:53Welcome to the rundown right here on Player Profiler.
0:55Today we're going to be giving you guys all the latest and greatest of fancy football updates.
1:00Make sure you win that free work league so you can show your boss that you are indeed Penske material.
1:06Now let's get right to it. Starting off hot.
1:09We have got Jameer Gibbs agreeing to a three-year $75 million extension, $51.5 million guaranteed.
1:13He gets half a million more than B. John Robinson and the funniest bit in contract signings continues.
1:19This is obviously fantastic news. The hold-in is over and Gibbs will continue to alternate 101 overalls with B.
1:24John Robinson and Jameer Chase. So fun stuff there.
1:27This is a little bit interesting because now there's only one player left the Lions need to extend on offense and that's
1:34Sam Laporta who's going into the final year of his rookie deal.
1:37The team also has an out after this year on the Jared Goff extension if that ship continues to sail.
1:43So we will continue to monitor the progress on that one.
1:47Let's get to our next big dog signing here.
1:49Jonathan Taylor gets to eat as well. That's right.
1:52The old dogs, the young bulls are getting theirs.
1:55Now the old calves. That's not right. Jonathan Taylor reaches a two-year $44 million extension with the Colts of up to $39 million guaranteed.
2:02Certainly well-deserved. He has carried this team ever since being drafted through the Philip Rivers years, the Carson Wentz years, and now
2:08we are well into the Daniel Jones era. This is a pretty make-or-break season for the Colts.
2:13They've got a lot of I don't knows. Can Josh Downs step up and do more in the offense?
2:19Can Alec Pierce return from injury? Can a quarterback recovering from an Achilles tear less than a year ago come back and
2:26lead this team back to the form that they had showed last year?
2:30It's typically an 18-month injury. I don't know how confident I am.
2:33Reports out of camp are that he's looking pretty good.
2:36And, of course, we got the owner here, Carly Israe Gordon, just always showing up and doing her thing.
2:42Fan favorite of the show. Jonathan Taylor is currently going around six overall in drafts.
2:46So are you taking him over Amon Ross St.
2:49Brown? Are you taking him over James Cook? Are you taking him over CeeDee Lamb?
2:53I don't know. You guys let me know in the comments.
2:57All right. A lot of old dogs are getting their juice this summer.
3:01Stephon Diggs signed with the Commanders. One year, $12 million.
3:04This is obviously huge for Jaden Daniels, who I don't think has a single player under the age of 30 still that
3:10can step up in a meaningful way. He's got bit players in Ja'Cory Kroski-Meritt and Rashad White.
3:15Young and hopefully emerging players like Chico Conquo, Traylon Burks.
3:18Could he be anything? Luke McCaffrey working out of the slot.
3:21But really, this is Terry McClure and Stephon Diggs, and they were blazing that up every day.
3:27I don't know where this offense ends up going.
3:29Can David Blau, who was playing quarterback in the NFL when Barbie was in theaters, can he step up and do something?
3:36He was an internal hire, which means this will probably just be an offense that makes Jaden Daniels comfortable.
3:41We'll see how that ends up going. Right now, Diggs is flying up the ranks.
3:46He currently has an ADP of wide receiver 57, but he's often being taken around the 40s now, around Chris Godwins, around
3:53your Jordan Addisons, around your Quentin Johnsons. Is he worth that?
3:56I'm not sure, but drafters are not afraid to make that bet, and they're not afraid to make that bet on Jaden Daniels as well.
4:03Now, it wouldn't be an NFL season without some Jalen Waddell injury updates.
4:07Jalen Waddell limping around Broncos practice. You can't love that.
4:10Sean Payton called this muscle tightens. He was seen at practice with his legs wrapped, and as you can see in the video here, a very noticeable limp.
4:19They did clarify that it was just a muscle strain that should only keep him out for four or five days, so
4:25potentially nothing too serious, but this is not a guy with a great history of injuries.
4:30This is a guy coming into an offense that we already knew was going to spread the ball around, so what does
4:36this do for other guys that are making splashes at camp?
4:40There's some very nice buzz around Pat Bryant. Troy Franklin has looked good.
4:44We know Courtland Sutton is going to be a thing, and guess who the star of the first week of training camp was in Denver?
4:51That's right. You guessed it. Evan Ingram is apparently looking back to his old self.
4:56So what does that do with Jalen Waddell? I'm not sure.
4:59He's currently going around wide receiver 22. Devontae Adams, Trevion Henderson, Zay Flowers, Mecca Ibuka.
5:03These are all guys that people are going to be making bets on for what's going on in 2026.
5:09Are you willing to take that chance? You tell me.
5:12Now let's move on to another guy who certainly has no injury history, and that's going to be Tua Tagovailoa, and as
5:19he's getting intercepted right here, nobody throws an interception like Tua.
5:22He is dealing with a back issue this summer.
5:24Spin the wheel for Tua injuries, and you're always going to land on a different one.
5:29He signed with the Falcons this year as a depth signing initially, but as the Michael Penix rehab doesn't make quite the progress they were looking for.
5:37It's looking like Tua might actually end up being the guy here at some point, and I hope that's the case because
5:44as much as he stinks, he's a much better option over Penix.
5:47This is the only team in the league with three players going top six at their position in fantasy football drafts, and
5:54sometimes you even see Kyle Pitts going higher depending on if you're talking about big money leagues or best ball what have you.
6:01So we'll see what ends up happening. His back issue has been flaring up since late July.
6:06He's been limited at practice, and they keep kind of taking turns with how they're using guys.
6:11As you can see in the video here, they have Michael Penix repping under center and Tua taking shotgun snaps.
6:17So how that ends up shaking out, we'll keep an eye on.
6:21Another one to check out here is going to be Josh Jacobs, who's missing time with a groin injury.
6:26This is not the first time he's had groin injuries.
6:29It pops up every now and then with him.
6:32He hasn't missed the bulk of time in his career with this one, so hopefully nothing too much.
6:37Not expected to be a long-term absence. Marshawn Lloyd is out there taking the bulk of first-team reps.
6:43This is a team in dire need of an explosive addition to the run game.
6:47They're not getting that with Jacobs. Jacobs is going to get you exactly what you need.
6:52You need four yards, he'll get it. You need five yards, he'll get it.
6:56He's not going to rip off 20. He's not going to rip off home run hitters.
7:01And I think that's the last piece of this offense that they're really missing.
7:05Something they had when they had Aaron Jones going strong.
7:08Even A.J. Dillon was able to get you a little bit of that when he was rocking around.
7:13So Jacobs' ADP is one that's made a lot of movement this summer.
7:17He's currently sitting at 29th overall, RB14. You're having to decide between Kyron Williams, between Brees Hall, between Javante Williams, or some of these wide receivers going T.
7:26Higgins, your Garrett Wilsons, and your Tetoroa McMillans. The less clarity and momentum we get, and that's before we even talk about
7:32the off-the-field issues, which I don't think are going to end up being something this year, but you kind of just never know.
7:39So we're getting Marshawn Lloyd buzz combined with Josh Jacobs' injury issues, Josh Jacobs' legal issues.
7:44As long as Marshawn Lloyd stops doing backflips after touchdown celebrations, it looks like he could actually be a part of the
7:50offense this year, which I think would be welcoming.
7:53And he is more or less free in drafts.
7:56You might see him go with the 16th pick.
7:59You might see him 15th if you're in a sharp league.
8:02But for the most part, he's somebody that I really think would be a top waiver at if he goes undrafted week one.
8:09So that's somebody I think you guys are going to want to grab, keep an eye on, watch this groin issue for Jacobs.
8:16Let's get to the largest human being on the planet, Vita Vea, who is a pain.
8:20There's conflicting reports here. The media narrative is that he's demanding a trade every single day of camp.
8:26Jason Light has said there's no way we're trading him.
8:29But he has been a consummate professional in camp with the younger guys, very happy, smiling, hanging out, having fun, giving pointers.
8:35The reason I bring this one up is because the Buccaneers defense last year was a mixed bag.
8:41The front seven is amongst the best in the league, although it was pretty banged up.
8:45The back is horrific. One of the worst passing defenses in the league, and they lost their top corner in free agency to the Steelers with Jamel Dean.
8:54So if they do end up trading Vita, which I'm not sure they're going to, but if they do, we're talking about
9:00an offense that is going to have no choice but to be in what we saw the Cardinals last year, where they
9:07might be in garbage time in the end of the first quarter.
9:10So there's not a lot of star playmakers back there.
9:13Antoine Winfield has not been very good since signing that record-breaking contract a couple years ago.
9:18They've got young, injury-riddled players that have a lot of potential, but Vita Vea is the second-best defensive tackle in the league.
9:25Maybe the first – he's definitely the best run-stuffing defensive tackle.
9:28So if he's gone, this is – might be a tiebreaker for me when I'm looking at Emeka Ibuka in drafts, when
9:35I'm looking at Kenneth Gainwell and Bucky Irving in drafts, when I'm looking at Chris Godwin later in drafts.
9:40They just might have to put up 35 every week to win.
9:44You know, who doesn't love that? All right, let's get to a team that will certainly not have to put up 35
9:50points to win, and that's going to be Tank Dell practicing in pads for the first time since a brutal 2024 knee injury.
9:57GM Nick Casario says Tank Dell is doing well.
10:00Pretty significant injuries. However, over the last few months, he's really started to look like him old self.
10:05This is a – we've been searching for the Tank Dell role replacement since 2024, and actually a little bit before that
10:12because if you guys don't remember, Tank Dell got shot.
10:15So he struggled with a multitude of you hate to see it.
10:19But the problem is Texans drafted two rookies last year that people had nice expectations for, Jalen Noel and Jaden Higgins.
10:25Jalen Noel looks like he's being relegated a little bit more to special teams, and he's also dealing with some injuries.
10:31Jaden Higgins expects to be that true number two next to Nico Collins.
10:35One of the more underrated rookie seasons last year.
10:38Really looked good when given the opportunity. So if you have those two guys dominating the outside, who's going to be filling
10:44in the gaps and catching up the layups, that could end up being Tank Dell.
10:49And I think that's a pretty valuable role. It's one that C.J.
10:52Stroud certainly exploited heavily on during his best season and I think could do it again.
10:57So Tank Dell is going as wide receiver 67.
11:00He's also last pick of your draft kind of guy going around your Tyree kills, your Dylan Sampson's, and your Kayshawn booties.
11:06So just maintain his progress. See how he's doing in drills if he gets any preseason action.
11:11And just see how he looks. You're going to know right away.
11:15You're going to get a gut feel and your eyes are going to be able to do the talking for you.
11:21Isaiah Davis is going to pop up on here.
11:24Not a guy I thought would get any mentioned, but we have to talk about it because of the cascading domino effect he might end up having.
11:32He's going to be out a few weeks with a minor knee injury.
11:36They're confident he'll be back week one. The timeline suggests he will miss any and all preseason openers, and that should give
11:42Braylon Allen an opportunity to maybe show what he can do.
11:46I bring this up because the team has been very vocal about getting all three of these guys involved.
11:51And Davis can really only contribute meaningly in the passing game.
11:55So if he's not in there, if he gets buried, I might have to reconsider how I feel about Brees Hall, who
12:01has not been somebody I've drafted a lot of this offseason.
12:04I'll be honest with you guys. I'm very hesitant of what this Jess offense can even be at its best.
12:10But if he is just getting workhorse, bell cow, dominant stuff, we've seen him thrive in worse situations than this.
12:16Frank Reich really does like to lean on a workhorse role.
12:20He did that in Indianapolis. He did that in Carolina.
12:23And I don't even really believe much in Braylon Allen.
12:26I know he hasn't been working with a whole lot.
12:29Injuries have really capped his ceiling. But I just might have to, you know, we're always wrong about one or two things.
12:35And this is one of the things I've felt since April is I just don't want a part of this Jets backfield.
12:42Might have to pour a glass of bourbon and reconsider.
12:45Trey Harris is really looking to screw up all of our Chargers takes.
12:49And I'm not loving that. Offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel says he was high on this rookie coming into the draft.
12:55This is somebody they were apparently targeting in Miami and was not able to grab.
12:59How good can he do in live reps will be the thing.
13:03He's making jumps and splash plays all over training camp.
13:06And Quentin Johnson is apparently not. He's showing an inability to track the football and an unwillingness to fight for the football as well.
13:13So what do we have here with Trey Harris?
13:16He might be the only wide receiver on the team that can do it all.
13:20Now how well he can do it all, I'm not sure.
13:23But he can win all over the field. He can make contested catches.
13:27He's big. He's athletic. And he can block. So what if this is the guy that doesn't come off the field in two wide receiver sets?
13:35He's got excellent hands. And this is a guy who was a very productive player at Ole Miss.
13:40And we thought he was going to get a little more runway last season.
13:44But for offensive line issues, offensive coordinator issues, he just didn't get the gas.
13:49We think Mike McDaniel might be able to coax that out of him.
13:53That'll be somebody who's going undrafted. You're not going to have to pay up for him at all.
13:58It might be somebody, if you've got a nice bench spot too, just go ahead and fill it with some high volume, high octane offensive players.
14:06Chargers offense is going to be that. All right.
14:08Let's get to some bummer news here. One I don't love talking about.
14:12Kenyon Sadiq. I know we just did a whole Jets thing about how out on the offense I was.
14:18I was not out on Sadiq though, especially where he was going.
14:22Big setback, unfortunately, with a hernia surgery. And it's expected to miss the rest of the offseason.
14:27Potentially, they think he'll be ready for week one, but they keep being very cautious about it.
14:32They were very, why this sucks on top of it obviously sucking is that they were very vocal about moving him all over the formation.
14:39Playing him inside, outside, really taking advantage of that rare athleticism of his.
14:43This is the fastest tight end ever we're talking about.
14:46And for a rookie, losing that edge and being able to get comfortable in the offense early on is massive.
14:52He was going in that round 10, 11, 12 range, which we've seen some amazing rookies go in that range in recent seasons.
14:59Last year, Colston Loveland in that range. The year before, Brock Bowers in that record-breaking season in that range.
15:04Even Dalton Kincaid was going there in 2023 who had a very nice tight end one season.
15:10So right now, he's going as the tight end 18.
15:13He's going to start falling in drafts because why take an injured player on a bad offense in a scheme that doesn't
15:19historically use a lot of tight end usage? He's going around Tyler Algier, Tajay Spears, and Malik Willis.
15:24Malik Willis is going to be a guy I'm driving a lot of late.
15:29I think he has a lot more upside than those kind of flyery backup bench stashes.
15:33So keep an eye on Sadiq. I still think he's worth a roster spot.
15:38Rare, you always want to bet on guys with ceiling, especially if you're talking about him being your second tight end now as opposed to your first.
15:46And the last one that I'll round out today is going to be good old Jonah Coleman.
15:51Sean Payton says he has been pleasantly surprised by anyone.
15:54It's been Jonah Coleman this offseason. Why I bring this up is I don't know how much I can read into it,
16:00but the fact that you're not hearing anything negative about him and you're hearing positivity might make us all want to just
16:07completely reconsider this backfield and where we invest in capital.
16:10J.K. Dobbins and R.J. Harvey are both seven eighth round picks, sometimes later, sometimes earlier, depending on how zealous people are in your drafts.
16:17But everybody thinks they know who the guy is going to be in this offense.
16:22I thought it was going to be R.J. Carvey because I want that passing down, that red zone usage, all that good stuff.
16:28A lot of people believe in J.K. Dobbins because he's the grinder.
16:32He can run through the tackles, and he looked pretty good this year.
16:36What if it just ends up being Jonah Coleman weeks 12, 13, 14, 15?
16:40This is a player that a lot of highly notable publications had as the second most complete back in the draft behind
16:47Jeremiah Love and ahead of Jadarian Price. And we know that Sean Payton can coax RB play out of Honey Boo Boo.
16:53So right now he's going as RB 53. He does go higher than that in some drafts because I think people get
17:00to that point where you're looking at your Alvin Kamaras.
17:03You're looking at your Tyler Algiers. You're looking at your Adni Mitchells and your Tyreek Gills, and you're saying, just give me
17:09a guy that the Broncos selected in a Sean Payton offense.
17:13All he has to do is wait for the J.K.
17:16Dobbins injury. Wait for Sean Payton to sour on R.J.
17:19Harvey. And, hey, you might have a low-end RB2 on your hands.
17:22All right. That will do it for today's rundown.
17:25We will see you guys on Monday. Have a great weekend.
