Alec Pierce

NegativeInjury20:07

Gatorade Electrolytes questions the health status of Alec Pierce heading into the week one matchup against the Ravens.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveProjection14:53

Baker Mayfield is ranked as the QB11 for Week 1 against Cincinnati. He has finished as a QB1 in three consecutive seasons and is playing in a game with the highest point total on the slate. His ranking depends on the health of pass-catcher Mecha Abuka.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection26:37

Bo Nix is ranked as the QB19 for Week 1 against Kansas City. He is recommended for Superflex leagues but should be benched in one-QB formats due to the difficult matchup against the Chiefs.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

NegativeProjection22:05

Brock Purdy is ranked as the QB16 for Week 1. He is considered a better option for Superflex leagues than standard one-QB leagues, as his ceiling against the Rams is historically moderate.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

PositiveProjection25:10

C.J. Stroud is ranked as the QB18 for Week 1 against Detroit. He was the QB12 from Week 10 onward last season and is expected to take a step forward in his sophomore year in a favorable environment against the Lions' secondary.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveBreakout8:49

Caleb Williams is ranked as the QB6 for Week 1 against the Panthers. He is considered a dark horse for overall QB1 status due to his supporting cast and the offensive philosophy of Ben Johnson. Williams passed for 304 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie game against Carolina.

Insight page

Cam Ward

PositiveBreakout20:21

Gatorade Electrolytes highlights Cam Ward as a potential breakout candidate for his second season, noting the favorable matchup against a Jets defense that allowed the second-most points to fantasy quarterbacks last year. Ward is bolstered by new weapons in Carnell Tate and Wandale Robinson, plus the arrival of Brian Daboll, though Gatorade Electrolytes advises a 'wait and see' approach for starting him in week one.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveProjection10:12

Dak Prescott is ranked as the QB7 for Week 1 against the Giants. He has been highly consistent against New York, finishing as the QB5, QB3, QB11, and QB1 in his last four matchups against them. The Giants' defense remains a favorable target for Prescott's passing attack.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

PositiveProjection19:27

Gatorade Electrolytes expresses significant uncertainty regarding Daniel Jones' health and the target hierarchy of his receiving corps, specifically questioning the roles of Alec Pierce and Keenan Allen. Jones is viewed as a low-end floor play in superflex leagues, with Gatorade Electrolytes explicitly stating they do not plan to draft him on any rosters.

Insight page
PositiveProjection32:07

Daniel Jones is ranked low for Week 1 against the Ravens due to significant uncertainty regarding his health and the target distribution among his receivers.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection17:16

Drake Maye is ranked as the QB13 for Week 1 against Seattle. While he has season-long upside, expectations should be tempered for Week 1 due to the matchup. He scored 17.5 fantasy points against Seattle last year and now benefits from AJ Brown as a teammate.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection5:54

Jalen Hurts is ranked as the QB4 for Week 1 against the Commanders. He has historically averaged 22.1 fantasy points per game against Washington, and the negative sentiment surrounding the Eagles is viewed as unwarranted.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveProjection16:37

Jared Goff is ranked as the QB12 for Week 1 against the Saints. He has finished as a top-10 fantasy quarterback for four straight seasons and leads all quarterbacks in passing yards projection for Week 1.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveProjection10:42

Jayden Daniels is ranked as the QB8 for Week 1 against the Eagles. He averaged 19.1 fantasy points per game in his starts last year and previously threw five touchdowns against Philadelphia. He is a dual-threat asset with improved weapons, including Stefon Diggs.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

PositiveProjection3:51

Joe Burrow is ranked as the QB2 for Week 1 against Tampa Bay. He enters the game fully healthy alongside Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase in an elite offensive environment with a 52.5-point game total.

Insight page

Jordan Love

NegativeProjection30:05

Jordan Love is ranked outside the top 20 for Week 1 against Minnesota. The Packers' offensive scheme limits his passing volume, and he has failed to crack the top 20 in his last two matchups against the Vikings.

Insight page

Josh Allen

NegativeMatchup5:06

Josh Allen is ranked as the QB3 for Week 1 due to a difficult matchup against the Texans, who are considered to have one of the league's best defenses. Allen recorded his second-fewest fantasy points of the season against Houston last year, but remains a must-start due to his consistent top-two fantasy production.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveProjection7:17

Justin Herbert is ranked as the QB5 for Week 1 against Arizona. He benefits from healthy offensive tackles and a competent play-caller. Arizona allowed the third-most points per attempt, fifth-most passing yards, and fourth-most passing touchdowns last season. Herbert also offers rushing upside, having ranked second among QBs in rushing yards last year.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

NegativeUsage20:10

Gatorade Electrolytes questions whether Keenan Allen will lead the team in targets during week one, referring to him as 'ancient'.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveProjection19:01

Kyler Murray is ranked as the QB14 for Week 1 against Green Bay. He is expected to succeed in his Vikings debut under Kevin O'Connell, benefiting from the best weapons of his career.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveProjection2:21

Lamar Jackson is the consensus QB1 for Week 1 against the Colts. He was the overall QB1 in his last full healthy season and maintained a lead of three points per game through the first three weeks of last year before his injury. The Colts defense ranked in the bottom 10 by PFF and allowed the second-most passing yards in the NFL last season.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeProjection23:24

Malik Willis is ranked as the QB17 for Week 1 against Las Vegas. He is a mobile quarterback facing a weak defense, making him a viable Superflex start, though he is risky for one-QB leagues.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

PositiveProjection20:31

Matthew Stafford is ranked as the QB15 for Week 1 against the 49ers. He finished as the QB2 and QB8 in his two games against San Francisco last year. Despite travel concerns, he is in a good spot to produce.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeProjection28:20

Patrick Mahomes is ranked as the QB20 for Week 1 against Denver. He is coming off an ACL injury and facing a tough Broncos defense, making him a risky start in one-QB leagues.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

NegativeValue30:40

Sam Darnold is a low-end Superflex option for Week 1 against New England. While he is considered slept on for the season, the Week 1 matchup against a stingy Patriots defense limits his ceiling.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveProjection12:06

Trevor Lawrence is ranked as the QB9 for Week 1 against the Browns. Despite a tough matchup against a sneaky-good Cleveland defense, Lawrence was the overall QB1 from Week 12 onward last season and is expected to maintain momentum under Liam Cohen.

1:20I'm Mitch Anderson. I'm Justin Mello. And Mello, the NFL season is here.
1:24Week one's right around the corner. Let's help people win the most important week to start the season.
1:29Week one. If you have any questions about your lineup or any start-sit decisions, let us know down below in the comments.
1:35We are going to be answering every single one because we are committed to helping you win your first game.
1:41But Mello, let's start off with our number one quarterback here in week one.
1:45It's Lamar Jackson at Indy. Feeling great about that spot.
1:48Last season, the Colts had a bottom 10 defense according to Pro Football Focus and allowed the second most passing yards in the NFL.
1:55Also, Lamar was the quarterback one of all time.
1:58The last time we saw him play a full healthy season.
2:01And there, imagine, I think this is the one really people forget about.
2:05He was the quarterback one overall by a whole three points per game last year through week three before he got hurt.
2:11I know it's only three weeks, but he was the QB one by a whole three points per game through three weeks.
2:18Handily my quarterback one going into week one. You know, we talk a lot about the quarterback one overall in 2024.
2:24That is one that I don't know if I fully realize.
2:27That's pretty incredible. Yeah. Let's talk about our QB two, though.
2:31You just talked about a guy that we've been worried about with injury.
2:34Here's another one. Let's talk about Joe Burrow, who should be fully healthy here for their game against Tampa Bay.
2:4052 and a half point total. Healthy Joe Burrow.
2:43Healthy Tee Higgins. Healthy Jamar Chase. No questions asked here in one of the best offensive environments, if not the best offensive environment in week one.
2:51Yeah, can't go wrong here. I there's going to be so many points.
2:54Everyone's healthy, which has been kind of an issue in recent years.
2:58Hopefully they don't get off to a slow start like they have in years past.
3:02Right. Everything else is there. All right. Next we have Josh Allen.
3:06This one is tough because on one hand, Houston has debatably the best defense in the league and Josh Allen scored his
3:12second fewest fantasy points on the season last year when he went against the Texans.
3:17But on the other hand, it's Josh frickin Allen.
3:19He is a top two fantasy quarterback every single year.
3:22We shouldn't have to overthink this one very much.
3:25He's a must start every week. It feels crazy to have him here at number three, but I have to agree.
3:31It's kind of like when we put Christian McCaffrey at number one and it feels so wrong not to be putting the
3:38guy that was the first overall pick as the number one running back.
3:42But the matchups are the matchups here. And Josh Allen is going up against an imposing defense.
3:47We have to drop him an entire two spots down to the quarterback three.
3:51But this is the right spot. But let's move on to number four.
3:54This is a guy in a spot I absolutely love.
3:57Jalen Hurts taking on the Washington Commanders outside of that game in 2024 when Jalen Hurts went down early and Kenny Pickett came in.
4:04He's averaging 22.1 points per game against Washington in his career.
4:08We keep talking about the Eagles comeback tour and the first city on that band T-shirt mellow for this comeback tour is in Washington.
4:15I think Jalen Hurts is going to explode against the Commanders.
4:18I'm with you. The vibes are so negative around Jalen Hurts and to some extent the Eagles right now.
4:24I don't think it's warranted. This is a great matchup.
4:27This is a guy who has historically been a great fantasy quarterback even when the real life production has not been there quite to the same extent.
4:34So I'm excited about Jalen Hurts in week one.
4:37Another quarterback I'm very excited about Justin Herbert going against the Arizona Cardinals.
4:41He finally has two healthy offensive tackles and a competent play caller.
4:44He dropped 27 fantasy points week one last year when his line was relatively healthy and I use that relatively word lightly.
4:51And on top of all of it, he gets to play Arizona who allowed the third most points per attempt last season,
4:57the fifth most passing yards and the fourth most passing touchdowns.
5:01Yeah, he's another guy too. We talk about a lot as being like a pocket passer, but like obviously has like the wheels too.
5:08He was second in the entire NFL among quarterbacks and rushing yards.
5:11And part of that was the offensive line issues and a career high and scramble rate.
5:16But Justin Herbert to me against Arizona, an absolutely unbelievable spot, really, really high upside.
5:20And I think we both agree like barring any huge injuries, which is obviously an issue in LA, we could see Justin Herbert having an absolutely massive year.
5:29But let's move on to number six. Let's talk about a guy that I keep seeing conversations about this guy being a
5:35potential QB one overall dark horse, Caleb Williams taking on the Carolina Panthers.
5:39We just talked last episode about his receivers, but like you said, we've heard Ben Johnson say he wants this team to
5:45be the highest scoring offense in NFL history. And if that were to happen, it's got to start with Caleb Williams.
5:52And in his one game against the Panthers as a rookie, he passed for 304 yards and two touchdowns.
5:57I expect Caleb Williams to start hot here. Yeah, he's got just a ridiculous supporting cast.
6:02One of the best offensive minds in the league.
6:04You hear about, you know, the projections of this offense and the hype around this offense, how good they're going to be.
6:11I think it starts here in week one. Next, we have Dak Prescott in a visual game at the Giants.
6:17Dak Prescott's last four weekly finishes when playing against the Giants quarterback five, three, 11 and one.
6:22The Giants defense is still bad. Dak still has CD lamb and George Pickens.
6:26This is an absolute smash spot for Dak Prescott.
6:29Dak Prescott is just like the most boring quarterback to just be so unbelievably consistent when he's healthy.
6:34And like you said, this defense still stinks. This offense is still incredible.
6:38No reason to believe Dak isn't going to absolutely light it up against the Giants.
6:42But moving on to number eight. Thank God we don't have him at number five.
6:47I can't deal with another lawsuit. That's Jaden Daniels taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in the games he's actually started and completed last year.
6:54He averaged 19.1 fantasy points per game. And there's obviously a clear ceiling with this guy.
6:58His last game against Philadelphia, he passed for five touchdowns.
7:01He's one of the best dual threats in the league.
7:04Fire him up in your quarterback one slot. Yeah, don't let last year's injuries and the negative vibes around the commanders dissuade
7:11you from having confidence in Jaden Daniels. Burn the tape.
7:14He runs the ball so much. He's good as a passer.
7:17He has the best weapons he's had of his career at this point now that you asked Stephon Diggs to this offense.
7:23So I think he'll have a really good week one.
7:26Another quarterback we like a lot, Trevor Lawrence taking on the Browns.
7:30I will say Cleveland's defense is sneaky. Still pretty good despite trading away Myles Garrett, which is the only reason we don't have Lawrence higher.
7:37But he was the quarterback one overall from week 12 on last year, and he should hopefully carry that momentum forward into year two with Liam Cohen.
7:45One thing to monitor will be the health of Jacoby Myers in these other weapons.
7:49But it's a good thing that he has so many great weapons anyways.
7:53So I have confidence regardless. Yeah, we're so, so high on Trevor Lawrence this year.
7:58I sneaky sleeper. I've been liking his Parker Washington.
8:00But obviously, we've just got to knock him down a little bit here against Cleveland.
8:05This is a really tough matchup. That being said, I'm so high on him in a season-long outlook.
8:10On to number 10, though. Let's talk about Jackson Dart taking on the Dallas Cowboys.
8:14The vibes have been interesting, to say the least, in New York this offseason.
8:19But this is the Cowboys defense that allowed, by far, by almost 50 points, the most fantasy points to quarterbacks last season.
8:25Obviously, this Dallas defense has improved, so I don't think it will be quite as bad this year.
8:30But if there's ever a spot to start a breakout season for Jackson Dart, it's here against Dallas.
8:36Yeah, some of the camp reports haven't been the greatest for Jackson Dart.
8:39But boy, does he get a great spot to just turn the narrative upside down on its head.
8:45Obviously, we'll need to monitor Malik Naber's availability and his health in Week 1.
8:49That'll change things pretty drastically. But otherwise, I'd really like this spot for Jackson Dart.
8:53Another guy whose spot I really like in Week 1 is Baker Mayfield at Cincinnati.
8:58Talk about bad defenses. Baker Mayfield gets one here.
9:00People want you to forget that he has finished as a quarterback one in three straight seasons.
9:05People want you to forget that. Big quarterback wants you to forget.
9:09Yeah, big quarterback. Don't let them brainwash you, man.
9:12He gets, like I said, one of the worst defenses in the NFL here.
9:16We love that. Heavenly matchup. Similar to what we mentioned with the Jags and Giants, though, we'll need to monitor the health
9:22of the pass catchers, like Abuka, who has the toe injury.
9:25That could bump Mayfield down if Abuka isn't 100% or if he isn't playing.
9:29But I still like Baker regardless. We've got a healthy Baker Mayfield in the game with the highest point total on the
9:36slate, which hopefully he'll have a Mecca Abuka out there.
9:39But it is very easy to forget not only that he was a quarterback one in three straight seasons, that he was the MVP candidate.
9:46Or excuse me, the top MVP candidate in the NFL heading into Week 6 before injuries piled up and the PCL and MCL sprains.
9:53But like a healthy Baker Mayfield against Cincinnati, fire me up.
9:57Absolutely locked in quarterback one. And why not for our final quarterback one of Week 1?
10:01Talk about Jared Goff going up against the New Orleans Saints, who's finished as a top 10 fantasy football quarterback in four straight seasons.
10:08If this guy didn't look like a limping giraffe when he ran, I don't know how high we would be drafting him every year in fantasy.
10:16But nobody has a higher passing yards line here in Week 1 than Jared Goff.
10:20He may be boring, but he should be a certified quarterback one for the first week.
10:25Limping giraffe like he's Mike Lennon or something. Honestly, pretty ass.
10:28That is Mike Lennon. No, I love Jared Goff here in Week 1 too.
10:32Good matchup. Great offense dome game. We love all of that.
10:36Going into the quarterback two territory, we have Drake May at Seattle.
10:39He's obviously a guy we love season long. Should be one of the first quarterbacks off the board in drafts.
10:45Week 1, we're a little bit less confident. The reason being that the Seahawks really embarrassed him last year in the Super Bowl.
10:52Obviously, the last time these two teams met. The good news is that he sneakily still scored 17 and a half fantasy
10:58points in that game, which is pretty respectable. All things considered, AJ Brown is now his teammate.
11:03Rick Wollin is no longer on the opposing side.
11:06So even though we have him as the quarterback 13, it's hard to imagine not starting him.
11:11Yeah, you don't draft Drake May and you don't start him.
11:14This ranking is more to tell you that I think you need to temper your expectations on what you're going to see here in Week 1.
11:22Obviously, May has a tremendous upside. He's one of these dual threat guys we talk about who can throw the deep ball and he can run.
11:30But I completely agree with you. With the matchup, he is a little bit like the receivers in how I view AJ
11:36Brown being like 12B to Tee Higgins. It's kind of Drake May being 12B to Jared Goff.
11:41On to number 14. I mean, Mello, this feels wrong for me to talk about Kyler Murray taking on Green Bay and not you.
11:48I'm going to admit something. There is no telling what we see here.
11:52But I'm taking the side that the Vikings get off to a good start.
11:56Kevin O'Connell is going to put Kyler Murray in a position to succeed.
12:00He's going to have the best weapons of his entire career and he's going to do just that.
12:05He's going to succeed in his debut as a Viking.
12:08I can't tell you everything that's going to happen this year, but I truly think they're going to set him up for success.
12:15And you're going to see this comeback story start for Kyler Murray.
12:18Yeah, I talked about it in the receiver episode with Justin Jefferson.
12:22I think week one is going to be the start of something beautiful this season for this Vikings offense.
12:27Tyler's going to cook. JJ's going to cook. It's going to be glorious.
12:31I'm looking forward to watching it. Next, we have Matthew Stafford playing in Australia against the 49ers.
12:36The MVP in quarterback three overall last year comes in at 15.
12:40I mean, Stafford finished as the quarterback two and quarterback eight in the two weeks he played the Niners last year, which is promising.
12:47However, the San Fran defense was mighty beat up last year.
12:50Should hopefully be healthy this time around. Electric substation willing.
12:53And I'm also not sure how flying into Australia within 24 hours of kickoff will play off for the Rams.
12:59But I guess we'll find out. Yeah, that is definitely a very interesting strategy.
13:03But yeah, Stafford should be in a really, really good spot here.
13:07Like you said, like I did not realize it was that good against San Francisco.
13:11Obviously, I dug a little bit into what Devontae Adams did last year and what Pukunakua did last year.
13:17But there's no reason to believe Matthew Stafford shouldn't come out slinging it.
13:20And this is a team he's familiar with. I absolutely love him at 15.
13:25And there's another guy I love here at number 16.
13:27Not as much week one, but season long. He is my guy.
13:31And that's Brock Purdy. I don't think week one is going to be Brock's highest ceiling environment, as we've seen him tend
13:37to be just fine versus the Rams in his career, but nothing special.
13:41Continue to monitor the health of his pass catchers as well.
13:45But there's probably better options if you're in a one QB league for week one than Brock Purdy.
13:50Super flex, though. You should feel extremely confident firing him up as your quarterback, too.
13:54Yeah. And don't sleep on his ability to scamper.
13:57That boy scampers. Big scampering guy. Big scampering guy.
14:00He'll have a chance in this game if they're throwing the ball late, have some scrambles.
14:04So not the worst of quarterback twos. Next, we have Valik Willis playing at Vegas.
14:09Now, let me say this. Big scamper. Oh, he doesn't scamper.
14:12He strides, Mitch. He's a strider. I will admit, the Dolphins should be relegated to the SEC.
14:17The camp reports around this team have been more depressing than those animal cruelty, like PSA commercials that play in the arms of the angel.
14:24You know, shout out Sarah McLaughlin. Yes, thank you.
14:27I'm glad you know exactly what I'm talking about.
14:30But with that said, he still could be a decent start here as a mobile quarterback, a strider, as we called him,
14:36playing against a Swiss cheese Las Vegas defense. I kind of like him in two quarterback leagues, even though I'm scared in one quarterback.
14:43Yeah, this is probably not the week I would start Malik Willis.
14:47I would probably bench him and look at what it looks like.
14:50Look at how much he's running the ball. It's definitely not a bad matchup.
14:54So this is one that you should be excited about with Malik Willis.
14:58I just, there has to be a better option.
15:01If you don't have anyone available out of the 16 guys we've named, yes, start him.
15:05But to me, I completely agree. He's more of a super flex start here in week one.
15:10On to number 18. We've talked about this game a lot in all three of our rankings episodes.
15:16Let's talk about the New Orleans Detroit game and let's talk about Tyler Shuck.
15:20Mello, as a real certified Shuckhead, I am so excited to see him kick off the sophomore tour with an unbelievable game environment.
15:27From week 10 on last season, this guy was the quarterback 12.
15:30Now he has another full offseason under his belt.
15:33And I think we could absolutely see him take the next step, starting with this incredible situation in Detroit.
15:38Yeah, I think I just kind of want quarterbacks going against the Lions this year just because they're going to be playing
15:45from behind and the Lions secondary isn't good. Like it's just a great environment for quarterbacks.
15:50No Jordan Tyson stinks, but I still think Shuck is a solid super flex start.
15:54Load up 50 targets for Chris Alave. Honestly possible.
15:57Next up, we got Bo Nix playing at Kansas City.
16:00Nix was decent, but not great in his two contests against the Chiefs last year.
16:04I'm very excited to see him play with Jalen Lottel.
16:07I think that's going to be great. I'm not as excited about the matchup or the play caller change at the start
16:13of the season with Sean Payton giving up those duties.
16:16I think Nix is probably just going to end up as the quarterback seven on the season again, just like he has
16:23every year of his career thus far. But I'm probably keeping him on my bench in week one outside of super flex.
16:29I have nothing to add to that. I completely agree.
16:32He's going to be the quarterback seven again, but like this just isn't the matchup I want Bo Nix in.
16:38It's a very similar story to some of these other guys where, you know, I feel very comfortable in super flex, but not as comfortable in one QB.
16:46And the difference I'd say between like him and Malik Willis is like, I could see Malik Willis randomly rushing for a
16:53hundred yards and he does have quarterback one upside.
16:55Bo Nix, I just, I have a hard time seeing it in the spot against Kansas City.
17:00Same. But let's take a look at the other side of that game and let's look at Patrick Mahomes taking on the Denver Broncos.
17:07And this one's tough. We love Patrick Mahomes. He was the quarterback two last year before he got hurt, but we know
17:14Denver is not an inviting matchup specifically for quarterbacks, specifically for a guy who will be in his first real game action
17:20since tearing his ACL and somehow getting back on the field this quickly.
17:24But he's averaged just under 18 fancy points per game against Denver in his career.
17:29I would be cautious here. Same advice we've been giving.
17:32This is more of a quarterback two. This is the line where I would say like, there has to be a better
17:38option for you to start in week one in one quarterback league than Patrick Mahomes.
17:42Yeah, I'm hesitant to ever bet against Patrick Mahomes, but I will in week one, at least from a fantasy perspective.
17:49I will in a week one regular season game.
17:51Right. From a fantasy perspective too. Like the Chiefs can go out and win that game and the home still could be the quarterback 19 on the week.
18:00Just coming off the ACL top matchup. I don't really want to start him in fantasy week one.
18:05Next up, we have Jordan Love at Minnesota. Jordan Love is great, but maybe not quite as great for fantasy.
18:11The Packers just don't throw the ball enough to make it worthwhile to start Jordan Love unless the matchup is extra juicy.
18:17And this one's not. Brian Flores and the Vikings have a solid squad.
18:21Love has failed to crack the top 20 quarterbacks in each of their last two matchups.
18:26So I'm not really going out of my way to start Jordan Love.
18:30I've said it before, but Jordan Love just does not spark joy when I see him in my fantasy football lineup and
18:36I try to avoid it at all costs. This next guy is one that honestly also feels kind of icky when you put him in your starting lineup.
18:44But I actually think he could have a pretty decent performance this year relative to his ADP.
18:49That's Sam Darnold back in this game against New England.
18:52He's a really tough one to rank here. I think this matchup certainly does not help.
18:57Both of these defenses pretty stingy against the pass.
19:00I think he's a fine guy to roll out in two quarterback super flex leagues.
19:04He just has almost no ceiling to me in this matchup.
19:07Yeah, it's a tough matchup. And I agree. I think Darnold's getting a little slept on maybe season long when you look at how good he's been.
19:15That's right, yeah. I agree. The last couple years he's been good.
19:19But yeah, this is not the spot I'm starting him.
19:22Maybe as a low-end quarterback too in super flex, but I just don't really love the matchup.
19:27Yeah. Next up we have Daniel Jones taking on the Ravens.
19:30Is Daniel Jones truly healthy? Is Alec Pierce truly healthy?
19:33Is ancient Keenan Allen going to lead this team in targets in week one?
19:37I have no idea. The upside is that Jones is just as good as he was to start last year, but there
19:43is too much uncertainty for me to really feel confident about it, which is why we have him this low.
19:49Although he said ancient Keenan Allen, it sounded like ancient Mesopotamia.
19:53The traversers went across the Keenan Allen. I don't have to worry about this.
19:57I don't plan on drafting Daniel Jones on any rosters, but if you do have him, yeah.
20:02This one, you can lock him in as your second quarterback.
20:05I would actually rather this next guy probably just for the sake of having a little more upside.
20:10I think Daniel Jones is just really a floor play.
20:13But on to our next one. We talked about this matchup a little bit last episode, and I said this might be my favorite over of the week.
20:21Cam Ward taking on the New York Jets. What better way to kick off a breakout second season than a date with the New York Jets?
20:29They allowed the second most points to fantasy quarterbacks last year, and according to my notes, are still the New York Jets.
20:35And so I'm excited to see what Cam can do here.
20:39He's got two new weapons. He's got Carnell Tate.
20:41He's got Wandale Robinson. You bring in Brian Dayball.
20:44I expect him to elevate this offense. I think I like Cam Ward throughout the whole season, seeing how he develops, but
20:50I actually think this is a spot that you could just see the breakout start.
20:55This defense is bad enough. Wait, Mitch, I'm actually fact-checking you here.
20:58Oh no, you're right. They are still the New York Jets.
21:02They're still the New York Jets. Yeah. Yeah, they're still the New York Jets.
21:06So it is a fair matchup. I think my one thing with Ward is I just kind of want to wait and see at first.
21:13I don't really have a lot of confidence in him yet.
21:16Yeah. So that's why I would probably keep him on the bench unless you're really desperate in like a super flex league.
21:23But the matchups, it's a little intriguing. Those were our top 24 quarterbacks for week one of the NFL season.
21:29As we said at the beginning, if you have any lineup questions at all, that's why you come to the lineup of
21:35fantasy football, leave them down below in the comments and we will answer as many as we possibly can because we are
21:42committed to helping you win the most important week to start the season, week one.
21:46But Melo, before we get out of here, did we miss anything?
21:50I think we got it all. All right. We'll catch you guys next episode.
21:54Bye.
