0:56What is good? We're back. We've got a little moves to make action.
1:00Going to be playing off of some current events, things that have gone down in recent, I guess, last few hours at this point.
1:07But you'll probably see this in a few days.
1:10We got my man Stan from Dynasty Price Check.
1:12How you doing, Stan? First time on the show.
1:15Good to see you. Yeah, thanks so much for having me on, guys.
1:19I'm thrilled to chop it up with you guys.
1:22Tons of moving news in the NFL right now.
1:24And we are so damn close to football. I'm ready to go.
1:28It sounds glorious. Shave, you're on the side of the dirt.
1:31How we doing? Listen, I'm not going to lie.
1:34I mean, obviously, I've met Stan before, so this is not my first time talking to him.
1:39But your point about football, if we don't curtail the attack of the fucking substation, we're not going to have any players left.
1:46It's just true. I can't every single day. There's something different.
1:49Travion leaves with whatever he left with today. Ashton Gentia apparently died on the field.
1:54So let's let's talk about something happy like trading that we that we talk about.
1:58I think maybe we should just move to robot legs and then we're good.
2:03Everybody gets robot legs. That's right, Wally. That's right.
2:05Hey, it's not on the sheet, but I did want to start with this.
2:10I had mentioned it, but I didn't put it on here.
2:13First time I've talked to you about it, Shave, any concern for Cam Ward?
2:17Oh, I mean, I would be lying if I said I get a little bit more like the sax, the saxophones get
2:24a little bit louder every time that he goes out there and it looks like shit.
2:28So we're now over to in me being confident in seeing what I would like to see from Cam Ward.
2:35But also we've been fooled. We got Kenny picketed a few years ago by him looking phenomenal in the preseason.
2:41So maybe I'm hoping that like this is a double secret, uno reverse where we can just he can look like shit in the preseason.
2:48And then you just wallow magic turns it on.
2:51Maybe Brian Dayball. Maybe Brian Dayball is just saving all the good stuff for end season because I mean, we're over five on Carnell take target so far.
2:59Not that anyone's counting. Stan, before we move on to the Jaden Higgins injury, which is going to lead off and then
3:06obviously the trade there thoughts on Cam Ward real quick.
3:09Yeah, I look, I'm not going to bogart the mic on this one.
3:13I've actually talked to Shev about this in the past, but I'm significantly lower on Cam Ward.
3:18I think than the rest of the dynasty community call me crazy, but I've actually been saying often this offseason.
3:24This is a make or break season for Cam Ward's dynasty value.
3:28And what I mean with that is not that he's going to be written off forever and worth nothing.
3:33It's just when you talk dynasty ceiling, you're looking at that fourth, fifth round, right, which is really the hard thing to
3:40break through ceiling wise, because even guys like Brock Purdy and Bo Nix, right, it's rare you see him in the second
3:46or third round of a dynasty startup unless people are super quarterback hungry.
3:50And Cam Ward is in the fifth or sixth round right now when I typically run startups.
3:56But this is a guy that only had 159 rushing yards.
3:59He only had a 3.7% scramble rate last year.
4:02I mean, unless you see a significant uptick there, you'd have to have a Jared Goff level proficient pocket passing offense to
4:08work him into a range where he's going to be super fantasy relevant.
4:12Call me crazy, but the Titans, I don't think I've done enough to really push him to that level where I expect
4:19that offense to be giving that level of delivery and output.
4:22And so I think in general, Cam Ward's seen this nice uptick this offseason.
4:26I haven't exactly seen it translate even to start with the action we've seen so far.
4:31So call me Mr. Skeptical over here, but I'm fine transitioning off Cam Ward and I know that's not going to make
4:38Chev super happy, but I'm going to live with it.
4:41Yeah, I mean, look, I don't get too bent out of shape one way or the other about preseason.
4:46It really, to me, it just depends on can the Titans as an organization turn the ship around because that's what's important, getting a quarterback right.
4:54Can the organization get right? We've seen this time after time when the organization isn't right.
4:59It's really hard for the quarterback to be right.
5:02And so I think that's really the key. I think Dayball obviously has been around plenty of quarterbacks and turned them around.
5:08I'm not really necessarily terribly worried about that. Can the franchise itself just get the stink off of it?
5:14And I think then Cam Ward could be fine.
5:17Like maybe he doesn't rise and break through the ceiling, but I'm okay.
5:21He could be a great QB too, maybe throughout his career.
5:24And that's okay. Maybe he doesn't quite rise to where we think he would be, but I'm not saying that that's the case.
5:31I'm just saying I think the Titans need to rise before maybe he rises to being breakthrough that ceiling, like you were kind of saying.
5:39All right, let's jump over. Obviously, Jaden Higgins had an ACL huge bummer was a player that I know Shev and I
5:45were both, you know, pretty excited for this year to kind of see, maybe take the next level.
5:51Obviously, again, depending on that offense and CJ, whether or not I think that could really take place and get to a
5:57spot where we really like Jaden Higgins. But bummer of an injury here.
6:01But today we saw the Boutte trade happen. So that's fairly interesting.
6:05But before we move on to the Boutte part of it, what are we doing with Jaden Higgins, Stan?
6:10Is this a buy low opportunity? Are you getting out for what you can or are you just kind of holding Pat for next year?
6:18Yeah. Unfortunately, I never like to let the market really dictate too much of my dynasty behavior, especially when it comes to injuries.
6:25I mean, Jaden Higgins, yeah, his dynasty value has gone down.
6:28He's not going to score you any fantasy points this year.
6:32So that's just the reality of the situation. Unfortunately, your time to sell was long before this injury.
6:37Your time to sell was when the training camp news is coming out.
6:41He was making some nice highlight reel grabs and he looked like he was going to be the wide receiver too for the Texans.
6:48At this point, I think if you are Jaden Higgins owner, you sit on that bag, you hold it.
6:54You hope that next offseason, you get a nice similar spike and the narrative is happy around the recovery.
7:00Maybe some breakout year three conversations start stirring. But at this point, I think you got to hold from a buy low perspective.
7:06Yeah, my ultimate rebuilders out there are my one year punters looking towards next year, maybe to execute a swing trade.
7:13This is absolutely your chance to buy low. I mean, if you got a Stefan Diggs that's going to be dragging points
7:19down and ruin your draft pick next year, probably time to open that door up.
7:24Start knocking, do your trade talks and see if you can start shipping those veterans to bring in Jaden Higgins.
7:30Shiv, I know that you're going to be on the I think we're all on the basically I'm fine with buying low on Higgins here.
7:38I believe in the player, but I do like we look at the circumstance of Boutte comes in there.
7:43He's in a contract year and we'll talk about him in just a second and what we're doing with him.
7:49But like if he plays well, maybe he gets signed by the Texans.
7:53If Tank Dell returns, if Noel breaks out, if Schultz is going to do what Schultz does, but maybe maybe Klein shows something.
8:00There's a bunch of things that could make this much harder path for Higgins in the future here.
8:06So I think we're all on the buy low.
8:08But how do you view your stock of Jaden Higgins right now?
8:12Delayed, not denied. I mean, we say that we've said that all offseason about a number of players.
8:17I think that I mean, I thought this was a hand in glove fit in terms of him being able to play
8:24off the ball like the zero with Nico playing primarily the X receiver.
8:28They go and get Boutte. So now it gives them a little bit of flexibility.
8:32It's bag season. So you can probably you could probably just go and try to send some low ball offers.
8:38But I mean, the unfortunate thing about the 24 hour news cycle and everyone and their grandmother making content now is the
8:45fact that everybody's going to tell people to hey, if you're if you're bullish on Jaden Higgins to hold unless you're that one guy who said.
8:53So 84 percent of the time, if a receiver doesn't, he's a day to pick and he doesn't go over 525 yards.
8:59He's never going to go over 12 points a game.
9:02He's got a 76 percent chance to never go over 10 points a game.
9:07Then you should probably just sell Jaden Higgins for whatever the bag of peanuts or whatever you can get for him right now.
9:14If you're a reasonably brained person that thinks that, hey, it just takes a little bit of time.
9:19This was an offense that was in flux. CJ Stroud wasn't his best self.
9:23They could have, you know, what's better than one Nico Collins to Nico Collins.
9:27And that's what Jaden Higgins was representing himself to be last year.
9:31So I'm firmly in the buy low camp. There's somebody who wants to exit this Jaden Higgins party.
9:36I will be the one scooping up all the Jaden Higgins.
9:40I believed in him. He was my wide receiver five in that draft class, I believe.
9:45And the landing spot did nothing to deter me from feeling that way.
9:49And the fact that he had to compete with fellow Iowa State Cyclone Xavier Hutchinson early in his career doesn't deter me
9:55from the fact that I think that once he's healthy, we're going to get a better version of this offense.
10:01And everybody's playing for their jobs right now in Houston.
10:04And ironically enough, even though CJ Stroud performed at, you know, he's won playoff games in every single season of his career.
10:11So with that pressure that's coming on, Jaden Higgins is going to step back into an environment where it's kill or be killed.
10:18And I think that he's going to rise to the occasion.
10:21So I'm going to make that bet and I'm going to buy low on Jaden Higgins.

11:16Watch terms and more at AppleCard.com. Some of the trades we have in the database right now from the 23rd, the 22nd.
11:23Higgins, I believe, got injured on the 18th. I could double check that.
11:27But the first one that pops up is Jaden Higgins for Aaron Jones and Jalen McMillan.
11:32How would you feel about that, Stan? Is that buying low enough for you?
11:36And I'm a big Jalen McMillan guy. I don't know where you stand on it.
11:40Yeah, yeah. Look, I'm born and raised in Seattle, Washington.
11:43Big Seahawks fan here. I also grew up in a family of UW goers.
11:47So Jalen McMillan is a staple in my household as well.
11:51And quite frankly, I think he's a lot better than what we're giving him credit for from a fantasy production standpoint.
11:57So I'm with you on that one. That'll be said, though.
12:00I think from a rebuilding standpoint, sure, I have no issue with it.
12:04I mean, I guess for what it's worth, you got about a year younger.
12:09You know, buy yourself another year on that contract, taking timetable.
12:12But I don't have an issue with that trade, especially from a rebuilding standpoint.
12:16How about Jaden Higgins, Cyrus Allen for Jonathan Brooks, Shiv?
12:19Which brings up a whole other topic, which we talked about last week of the Jonathan Brooks thing.
12:25So that kind of lends, how do you feel?
12:27What's your lens on Brooks? But Cyrus Allen and Jaden Higgins or Jonathan Brooks, which side would you be on there?
12:34The instant value, the instant oats of this whole deal is the Jonathan Brooks ascension back into fruition.
12:39We just got the word today that they're going to be in a 50-50 timeshare heading into week one.
12:45So his value is as high as it's been since you picked him in your rookie drafts or in a startup a couple years ago.
12:52So I'll go Jonathan Brooks. I think that both, if you are a firm, firm contender, then yes, I think that it's Jonathan Brooks.
12:59It's easy. It's easy, simple, clean. You get a return on investment immediately or it blows up in your face and you
13:06know that you made a mistake and go a different direction because you're not going to win every trade.
13:12But if you're rebuilding, if you're not trying to win this year, I do think Cyrus Allen's a really good player and
13:18Jaden Higgins isn't going to help you at all in 2026.
13:22So I can understand trying to offload to try to take points out of your lineup.
13:27I do think Jonathan Brooks has a chance to return value as a top 24 running back from a points per game perspective.
13:34But like I said, if you're rebuilding, you know you're not winning any money this year.
13:38Just go ahead and get Cyrus Allen and Jaden Higgins because a year from now, it could be a boat.
13:44I mean, Cyrus Allen could be a boat. I mean, apparently he's training camp Jerry Rice.
13:49So, you know, do whatever you will with that information.
13:52I got a couple more trades here and then we'll move on.
13:56Jaden Higgins just straight up for a second or 27 second.
13:59How do we feel about that? Stan? I'm fine with it.
14:02I'm hoping it's not projected super early. I feel like those 27 seconds are basically pseudo firsts from this year when we
14:09look at that top four class or at least how they're treated on the open market.
14:14So I think that one would be very placement dependent for me.
14:17But if you're looking 206 or later, I'll take the Higgins side.
14:21How about Higgins or Pittman, Shev? All right. So I'm going to say Higgins on the Shev side.
14:27I know you hate Pittman. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
14:29I'm going to answer for the podcast listeners. It's Jaden Higgins.
14:33It's never Michael Pittman for me. Not even if there's a fire.
14:36Stan? Shev, you and I are going to get into it on Michael Pittman, man.
14:41I'm not going to lie. I just did a huge segment a couple of weeks ago talking about Michael Pittman because he's
14:47been one of my guys over the last few years.
14:50And I always say, if you're a T. Higgins owner and you're drafting T.
14:55Higgins at the end of the fourth or the early fifth round, but you could wait to the 10th or 11th round
15:01to get Michael Pittman in your dynasty startup, you do it every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
15:07Because I could put the blind chart comparison fantasy points wise next to you over the last five years.
15:13Michael Pittman has scored better. So I know T.
15:16Higgins is all flashy and this might be the year that he capitalizes and plays a hell of a lot better.
15:22But by the numbers, he's not. Michael Pittman will continue to score at the same rate as him, if not better.
15:28And he's way cheaper and he's one year older.
15:31Are you saying you're saying that Jaden, you're saying, are you saying Jaden Higgins and T.
15:36Higgins or Jaden Higgins and Michael Pittman score the same amount of fancy points?
15:40Is that what you're saying? He's saying he's saying Michael Pittman and T.
15:44Higgins. You're not a blind comparison. Like as in T.
15:47Morris Higgins. Yeah. As in the guy who was, yeah, the guy who was 18 points a game in 2024.
15:53Michael Pittman hasn't approached that ever. 15 points a game in 2025.
15:57Michael Pittman may have one season where he was at 15 points a game in his entire career.
16:02So we could go over the course of five years.
16:05I believe five years ago was T. Higgins rookie year where Michael Pittman went 88 for 10, 32 and six.
16:11But T. Higgins went for 9, 30 and six as a rookie or seven as a rookie, if I'm not mistaken.
16:17So it's just that we don't have to get into this right now.
16:21But I thought this was a quick one. Yeah.
16:24Never, never Michael Pittman for me. Not even if there's a fire.
16:28And if you're giving me a choice between cutting my pinky off and selecting Michael Pittman in the late end of the
16:34draft, if you see me walking around like this from now on, then you just know that I chose never Michael Pittman ever.
16:41So no game. Well, this year, Michael Pittman is going to take all that underneath work from Aaron Rodgers.
16:47Stan, I do like Pittman. I love selecting Pittman in those ranges.
16:50I mostly brought that up because you were saying I think that's a dependent upon on where you are in the stage
16:57of your dynasty cycle with that trade. If you're on one side, then you're Higgins.
17:02If you're on the other side, it muster Shev.
17:04I think it could be Pittman if you're trying to win some money this year.
17:09Now, Shev disagrees, but we will digress from that one.
17:12Yeah. I have so many thoughts right now. I got one more just straight up.
17:16It's this happened on the 26th 12 team full PPR tight end premium.
17:20It was Jaden Higgins straight up for Omar Cooper.
17:23I still take Jaden Higgins. I'm going to lane Jaden Higgins as well.
17:27Call me the call me the Omar Cooper hater out here, but I don't know if I see the path.
17:33I'm OK to be for it to take a second for him to get out there, but I think I tend to agree.
17:40I just I really do. I like Jaden Higgins a lot.
17:43So I think that's really just kind of where that lies for me.
17:47Well, it's funny because I was looking at this.
17:50I was looking at some Jets fan randomly popped into popped on my timeline.
17:54It was like, man, it's like we're going to be pissed whenever we draft whatever receiver we draft and they can't beat
18:01out Adonai Mitchell for the wide receiver to spot.
18:03And that's exactly what's happened. So. And, you know, I'm Mitchell, which Adonai Mitchell's had it.
18:08It's been there. We've seen it. It just he hasn't put the whole thing together.
18:13And if he puts the whole thing together, then there's probably a reason that he keeps Omar Cooper off the field.
18:19And, you know, they should. And I wouldn't look that as a I wouldn't look that as a bad thing for Omar Cooper, that Adonai Mitchell kept.
18:27I know that gets tossed around a lot. Well, if this than that, which I don't think that that's always, you know, this guy's a veteran.
18:35He's been playing a while. He took his lumps.
18:38If he's right and catching the ball and doing everything that he can, Adonai Mitchell's a good receiver.
18:43So. Anyhow. All right, let's move on. Let's go to the bootay side of this thing.
18:48Unless just obviously traded to the Texans. I think this he's got a role that could he could walk right into.
18:54We don't know what tank Dell looks like. Noel kind of had a little bit of a shot last year.
19:00Look fine in doing so, but would probably play a different role than bootay anyway.
19:05Schultz was probably the one who was just going to walk into a big upgrade with Higgins.
19:10I mean, maybe not even a big upgrade because he's been rock solid generally if he's healthy.
19:15And I was thinking Woody Marks actually was probably somebody who benefited from a Higgins injury.
19:20But bringing bootay in there certainly makes things interesting.
19:23Stan, what would be a price point where you would want to be in or out on Keishon bootay here?
19:29Yeah, I think this is another one of those instances, right?
19:32It's like buy the rumors, sell the news. It's like, well, I wish I had bought more bootay three weeks ago when the trade rumors were swirling.
19:40Because I think you could have got him cheap.
19:43You could have sent maybe an Isaac Tesla. You probably, even before all these preseason woes, could have gone to the Cam
19:49Scadaboo owner and offered him Tyrone Tracy and a fourth round pick or just a little bit of a handcuff upside there.
19:56Now, I think you probably have to give up something of value.
20:00I'm probably thinking if you're the Saquon owner, you're probably offering him Tank Bigsby and maybe a fourth round pick sweetener.
20:06I'd probably be fine offering in a non-tight end premium format like a Dallas Goddard, someone that's more of a rental, a Hunter Henry.
20:13Now, I'm going to go back to what I was talking about earlier with Stephon Diggs.
20:18I think you probably do have to offer that level of upside to someone who's an immediate contender.
20:23And maybe if you're somewhere more in the middle playing with that 104 to 108 range from last year and you want
20:30to start swinging some upside here and start to stack your dynasty roster out, you probably got to offer him something worth of value.
20:37Maybe if you're sitting on a Tyreek Hill and you don't want to wait, that's probably about the price point I'd be looking at as well.
20:45Shev, what would be sort of a buy or a sell?
20:48And are you buying? I guess that should have been my first question to you, Stan.
20:53It's more of a buy than a sell for you right now.
20:57Obviously, time would have been better served on the other side of this trade, but you generally like the player.
21:03Yeah, yeah. I think this is one of those players that he's way better in real life than we've been able to see from a fantasy standpoint.
21:11I mean, even in limited sample size, right? Like 16.7 yards per catch last year.
21:16Definitely a guy that had some highlight reel moves.
21:18Obviously, we saw that crazy one-handed catch in the end zone last year.
21:22And so these guys are wildly talented. We forget sometimes because we're all caught up in the fantasy numbers of it, but
21:29this is still one of the best in the world at what he does.
21:33Now he gets an opportunity to show that in a way better light.
21:37And so I do think he's still a buy, especially if you have the capital and some guys down deep in your
21:44roster there that are getting up there in age that you could re-roll swing upside here.
21:48I think opportunity speaks volumes. And now, Butte got the opportunity.
21:52So let's take a swing on him. Shiv, we've been just trying to keep the light on for the booty warrior for a long time here.
22:00Just kind of singing the same things that Stan just said of just like, hey, this is a good player.
22:06Every time he gets opportunity, he does something fun with it.
22:09Like this has been a good player. Like, and from the path from where he started from, from just the first year
22:15being just like, oh my God, is this guy going to make it in the league?
22:20He was somebody who from rookie drafts, like before that was like, this guy could be a first round pick.
22:26In rookie, people were this hyped about this guy.
22:29And he's worked himself and rebuilt himself all the way, and the image of himself all the way back to this point
22:36gets traded and now has an opportunity. Shiv, how do you view this from a, like if we said, would you trade
22:42just a third round pick is your, you would definitely trade a third round pick right now for Butte?
22:48Without question. Third rounds get your guy season. I think with a lot of the drafts that you and I have been,
22:55well, shit, we've only done one together. But in that third round, I'll have to go back and look, but there's, I
23:01really believe in, I really believe in Kayshawn Booty.
23:04He's winning on the most difficult types of routes, which are deep down the field, outside the numbers.
23:09And he's delivering, he's, he's delivering on those, on that promise as Stan alluded to 16.7 yards of catch.
23:15So I'm, he would have been second in yards per route run amongst all Texans in 2025.
23:20The yards per catch would have been best on their team at 16.7.
23:24I think he adds an element, element of verticality that allows Nico to dominate in the middle of the field even more.
23:31And it gives them someone who can line up at X.
23:34We Casey, you and I discussed Jaden Higgins potentially ceiling outcome wise, being better as a power slot, a big slot wide receiver.
23:41That was part of what we talked about early on.
23:44So I think the fit with this team is him being, him taking pressure and alleviating pressure from Nico Collins and him
23:51being free to move around the formation a bit more.
23:54So it's bag season. This is a guy who you, I mean, you 10 out of 10, no notes on everything.
24:00He rebuilt his image. This was the guy who was in conversations to be the wide receiver, one of that 2023 class.
24:07And then it just all went to hell in a handbasket.
24:10He goes fifth round in new England and rebuilds everything.
24:13So, and I think his athleticism is vastly underrated.
24:16This is a guy who ran 10, six in high school and a hundred meter, a hundred meter dash.
24:21So he has real speed. He tested poorly. I think he was playing through an injury his last year at LSU.
24:28And all of that, along with all the character concerns that were swirling around him, led him to fall to the broken version of new England.
24:36Now he's been a part of that resurgence. Now he's with the Texans.
24:39And I think as a full-time player, a guy who's going to earn anywhere from 80 to 110 targets, potentially behind Nico Collins.
24:46I have to be in on this for a third round pick.
24:50Sign me up all day long. Yeah. So, you know, if we're, if we're doing rookie drafts now and you're in your
24:572026 third rounders, like, I think this is a no brainer.
25:00You know, even like, would you stand? Is it, I don't know where you stand and he's on the sheet, but like Jacoby lane or bootay.
25:08Oh, now this one's pulling up my heartstrings. Cause she might be knowing there just by giving you a little bit of a hint.
25:15I have been all in on Jacoby lane since November of last year.
25:19And look, I know everyone's probably out there saying that this time of year, you should have listened to me back in March.
25:26Go check the receipts. It's on the channel. All right.
25:29I love Makai lemon, but I was saying the high rate light reel tape on Jacoby lane is second to none.
25:35This man is acrobatic. He's got red zone upside.
25:38He showed you some speed, even at the combine that even I was not prepared for.
25:43So I think this is all coming to fruition now.
25:46So, you know, all to be said, I like bootay, but I'm going to go Jacoby lane.
25:51What I will throw back at you though, Casey is I think, you know where I'm at with, with bootay and how
25:57to capitalize here is Pat Bryant's getting a little tailwind in, in this, in this Denver camp.
26:03I'm out on Pat Bryant and Pat Bryant, you know, he's, he's only a year younger than bootay is now.
26:09And bootay is going into that contract year. I like betting on guys that are, that are trying to get paid here.
26:15So if there's anyone in your league, that's willing to buy the smoke on Pat Bryant, I mean, that's a no brainer flip for me.
26:23So I think that's, that's the more comfortable range.
26:25Okay. I like it. I was just trying to bring up some, some rookies this year that like would be at the back end of the second.
26:34Uh, in a lot of cases for, for a lot of people drafting super flex site and premium.
26:39Um, right now, I know we've gone through a few and lanes typically middle to end, at least right now.
26:45Um, what was definitely more of a mid third and now we've moved all the way up.
26:50So like, uh, would you like, like, you know, and we'll move on here in a second, but like you got Caleb Douglas and Cyrus Allen making noise.
26:59Would you rather have those guys or would you rather have somebody like a bootay show booty?

27:56The Texans were tied with the lions for eighth in past attempts last year.
28:00There's going to be so much more volume. The Patriots were all the way down at like 30th.
28:05So just from the sheer volume of opportunity, I would be hard pressed to not be, not think that Kayshawn Butte's opportunities
28:12go up in a manner in which I, as much as I love Caleb Douglas, I have, I have the dolphins projected as a bottom two passing offense.
28:21So from a dynasty perspective, it could be, it's really good.
28:24It's found money with Caleb Douglas. I think he's a really good player.
28:28You know how I feel about Chris Bell, but right now, if I'm going into 2026, knowing that this dude's trying to
28:34get paid and knowing that they're going to throw the ball, a metric fuck ton, I'm going to bet on Kayshawn Butte
28:41because we've, we've been delayed, not denied. And now it's time for us to cash in.
28:46I like it. Hey, one more on the Butte and I want to kick it to Stan.
28:51Cause he's got the, he's got the Seahawks championship hat on Tori Horton or Butte.
28:55Oh, look at Jeff over there. It's hurting. It's hurting me.
28:59All right. Look, I'm going to let my Seahawks fandom shine through here.
29:03I I'm going to go Tori Horton there. I know he's been unable to stay healthy and entirely on the field, but
29:09I genuinely believe that the long-term future of the Seahawks looks like Jackson Smith and Jigbet, the one Tori Horton at the two.
29:16And even in that super limited sample size, we saw this guy was, he was getting it done.
29:22He was getting it done in the end zone.
29:24He was getting it done on special teams. I think iron sharpens iron too.
29:29You got to play against that number one defense every single week.
29:32I think Tori Horton ceiling is immense. Yeah, no, I mean, we, this is the Tori Horton fan club for sure over here.
29:39So I figured since you were a Hawks guy, I wanted to see where you stand there, but it was a bummer
29:46that we didn't get to see the run out of Horton last year for sure.
29:50So, all right, let's move on. Let's go to the, let's go to the running back situation.
29:55Apparently we're doing all Texans today, but Woody Marks has been getting some love.
30:00Obviously, you know, again, Shev and I have been, well, I don't know.
30:04I was a big Woody Marks guy last year.
30:06We, we have to, we have to give the context of things.
30:10I was a LaQuint Allen guy. You're a Woody Marks guy.
30:13Woody Marks goes in the fourth round and immediately carves out a role behind the ghost of Nick Chubb, which enjoy retirement.
30:20Nick Chubb, shout out to you. But yeah, Woody Marks.
30:23And then if you watch what he looked like last, this last preseason game, it looks like totally different dude.
30:29Yeah. I did not see this. I watched a shit ton of Woody Marks and I did not see this, like this level of explosiveness, contact balance.
30:37He looks like a really good running back. Yeah.
30:40Not just like a, Oh, Oh, it's, it's good.
30:42It's good. It's like, no, he looks, he looks really good.
30:46Yeah. No, I mean, I, I thought, I thought he was better than given credit for throughout his college career, kind of
30:52banging through the tackles a little bit, but it was the past catching that made me super excited, you know, especially as
30:59a late round running back as far as fantasy drafts go.
31:02And last year he probably got thrust into a situation where that offensive line was awful.
31:07They've completely rebuilt it. And they're still even playing with it a little bit right now.
31:12We're thinking maybe they might even kick the rookie out to a guard and move the guy that they brought in from Arizona.
31:19I'm drawing a blank on his name right now to center right now.
31:23Cause he's been drawn a lot of praise in camp.
31:26So we'll see how that shakes out, but this Texas line should be an upgrade.
31:30Woody marks looks good. They brought in David Montgomery, which should be an upgrade to Nick Chubb from where Nick Chubb was last year.
31:37We can kind of go through the value of Woody marks a little bit, but the way Woody, I want to talk
31:44about this first, the way Woody's looking, is anybody concerned about the outcome for David Montgomery and him, you know, maybe being
31:51closer to 50, 50 than anybody expected Stan. This is a tough one.
31:55I think, you know, from what we've seen the eye test.
31:58Yeah. It makes me a little nervous. I mean, he does look better and there's no denying it, right?
32:04The film doesn't lie. That all being said, I think the high value touches when we talk about fantasy football is really
32:10where David Montgomery is going to excel. I still expect him to be the power back, you know, that gets you those
32:17goal line touches that are obviously where the most ability to score points come into play.
32:22I think he's going to get the early down work still.
32:25I think my thing with Woody marks, not to jump the gun entirely is just the dynasty psychology behind it.
32:31I mean, this man, December 29th birthday. So he's going to be 26 years old before this NFL season is over.
32:37Sure. I just don't know the path that I see with Woody marks of making like a very solid argument.
32:43This guy is a value riser. That's going to stick because once we hit next off season and we all get to
32:50do this content machine again for another six months, everyone's just going to be talking about the age and the, the, you
32:57know, backup role and that he doesn't have a path here to true dynasty relevancy.
33:01And I think it's just, you have a limited ceiling with him that all being said though, I will give it to you.
33:08Yeah. Makes me a tiny bit nervous as the David Montgomery owner that this man's going to eat a little bit of my pie.
33:15I think if you see what we're starting to maybe see little inklings of, and again, we don't want to overreact too much to preseason.
33:23David Montgomery is a great running back. And if, if healthy, I think is going to be just fine.
33:29Like you said, I think the high value touches kind of that sort of stuff.
33:33But if Woody marks can just earn and show you that, Hey, I belong on this field, I'm earning touches and I'm a good pass catcher.
33:41Like we can have like right now, if, if everything's all the same, would you rather have Woody marks or Rashad white?
33:48I would rather have Woody marks. And here's the thing I'll say actually, Casey.
33:52And I think you made a great point there.
33:55What I want to see at Woody marks this year is, is a role understanding and carving that out so that I
34:01actually have something to hang my hat on. Like I want him to show me, this is what I'm going to do
34:08for you from a fantasy football perspective, and then prove it to me so that I know next off season, okay, this is what I'm buying.
34:16Right. And if what I'm buying is a RB three spike week here and there, or a consistent flex option with a
34:22floor of 9.5 points per game, because he's catching four passes guaranteed, and he's going to get 10, you know, rushing opportunities.
34:29Then that's something I can't hang my hat on.
34:32It's just, we haven't seen enough, right? Last year was a little bit of a mess in that Texans backfield.
34:38So show me what I can believe in. Shev, I know you've been a Rashad white guy.
34:43And the reason I bring him up there, they're pretty close in crowdsource rankings right now at the FFD.com for super flex
34:49PPR, a wide receiver, or sorry, running back 43 and running back 45 for Rashad white.
34:54So marks is overtaken him in the last few days, but Rashad white's been on the rise as well.
35:00How do you, you know, if you, I don't know.
35:03Also, I feel like can have similar runouts for their careers.
35:06Right. I mean, I think they could be similar usages.
35:09If there's an injury, you could last year, you kind of saw it with, they had to hang their hat on marks.
35:16He was their best guy. Chubb was banged up.
35:19Chubb was a shell of himself. And so Woody marks got maybe something he wasn't even fully ready for at that time.
35:25So Rashad white or Woody marks right now, chef.
35:28It's Woody marks simply because I have this year plus two more years of contract security with Woody marks.
35:34And he's a year or two younger than Rashad white.
35:37So Rashad white one year, $2 million deal in Washington.
35:40We could be playing limbo, the fantasy musical chairs game.
35:43And he could be somewhere else next year. I think that with Woody marks, he's shown the necessary improvements.
35:48That I wanted to, I want to see as a running back.
35:52And he's tied to the organization for at least two more seasons beyond 2026.
35:56So with Woody marks, it's, it's safe. The, the outcomes are probably similar at this point in time.
36:02You've got the, all of the camp buzz that, uh, you Corey cross key merit bill has been generating.
36:07So it just isn't, there isn't enough safety in selecting Rashad white or 2026.
36:122026. And then after that, you're not, you don't have any clarity of where he'll be playing American tackle football after that.
36:18So, yeah. And I feel like, like you said, Stan, like there there's, you're trying to figure out exactly what he is,
36:25what his role is, how, what he's going to carve out, how he can be.
36:29I think he's a, I think he's a more useful player in a, for a good team to, to, to fix in your, your flexes.
36:37Hey, I'm her. I need an RB too. Like he's not probably somebody you want to lean on consistently.
36:43Great best ball target. I think. Um, but I feel like generally hard to value and hard to like, even just looking
36:49through trades right now, like he's generally somebody who you don't see a lot of like heads up trades, one for one values.
36:56He's usually somebody who's in there helping something get done, but here's one that just popped up.
37:01Woody marks where Kenneth gain. Well, and Bryce Lance.
37:04Ooh, I'm going to take Kenneth gain. Well here.
37:07Okay. So you'd rather have the gain. Well, Lance side on that one.
37:11Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Okay. That was one of the ones I could find.
37:15That was just kind of two or one or one and two.
37:18Here's a Woody marks and a third for a 27 second chev.
37:22So basically the two, three swap for Woody marks.
37:24That's found money. Cause Woody marks was like a fourth round rookie pick.
37:28So I'll go 27 second. Okay. So processed, uh, based trade there.
37:32Uh, I don't, you can't, you can't hate that.
37:35Uh, but generally, like I said, just coming through here, he's a piece in a deal.
37:40He's usually not, you know, the deal that you're making to, to find something to get, you know, he helps to get, he helps deals get done.
37:48Here's Keaton Mitchell or Woody marks straight up. That's one of the only ones powder blue.
37:52A chance. Oh, you're going to keep it. See, I'm taking Woody marks there.
37:57I know you should, you should take, you should, but every, I just made a process trade.
38:02Now I'm going to make the trade that makes everybody go crazy.
38:05Uh, powder blue, a chance simply because I'm going to bet on the upside.
38:10I would probably, I think if you wanted to flesh that out and, you know, just do a great job there to,
38:16to squeeze the maximum amount of value out, you could probably get like a third with Keaton Mitchell to go from Keaton Mitchell to Woody marks.
38:24We're going to move off of Woody marks for Keaton Mitchell right now.
38:28But there are some people, there are some people out there who are aware of what the first season with Devon H
38:35and, and, uh, Raheem Mostert look like. And so that's, that's an outcome that they've convinced themselves of.
38:40I'm not sure because I don't know about this Tyler Biotish being out for the year, but yeah, I would go, I'd go Keaton Mitchell.
38:48I'd probably try to squeeze a third or something out of that as well and move off of Woody marks because that
38:54could be a more explosive run environment. And I do think he's going to play a little bit more than what people
39:01are giving it credit for right now. It's Woody marks for me.
39:04Stan, where are you at? Yeah, I'm going to lean Woody marks.
39:08I just seen, see the, uh, the more clear path to production there.
39:12Anything happens to David Montgomery. I think I'm flipping Woody marks for a pretty penny versus, uh, if something happens to Hampton,
39:19I think we're still going to have a one, two punch with the doll in the building.
39:24I actually think Kamani Vidal is not a bad back by, by any stretch of the imagination.
39:29So, so here's one more. I'm going to move on, um, which this was before bootay got traded, but Woody marks and Taequann Thornton or bootay.
39:37Woody marks and Taequann Thornton or bootay Woody marks, which basically you could just say Woody marks or, or bootay.
39:43Cause Thornton, Thornton. Like I think Thor Thornton was a P whopper King for us last year and was great.
39:49But, um, generally I think he's going to be a tough start and unless it's like a best ball situation.
39:55Yes. Yes. The only way you could, you know, you play in Taequann Thornton in the year of our Lord, 2026, you there's a hotline.
40:02You probably need to call bootay or Woody marks and we'll, and we'll, we'll keep it moving.
40:07Woody marks. Yeah. I'm going to slightly go Woody marks, but Hey, if you're a rebuilder and this is the best you
40:14can get, I'll take the receiver upside and hope he's worth more next year.
40:18Yeah. There's a couple of like thirds in there for Woody marks, which I'm fine with trading the third for Woody marks.
40:25If I, if I need them, um, um, there's like a Jordan Mason in there for Woody marks, which I think I might lean Mason there.
40:33Um, but close. So, all right, to wrap this whole thing up, the Kyle Williams fall outside of this.
40:38Is there a, is this a buy seller hold for Kyle Williams at this particular juncture?
40:43Stan. Ooh, I like some Kyle Williams. All right.
40:46I I'm really letting my hometown fandom go through the roof.
40:49Another episode with you guys. Yeah. You're pulling on all my Washington heartstrings today.
40:53And look, I liked Kyle Williams a lot coming out of the draft last year.
40:58We didn't get to see any of it, but this is a guy that also does have an extreme amount of upside.
41:05Although he's was kind of buried deep down the roster chart here.
41:08I'm not going to go on my Kyle Williams rant here, or we'll be here for an hour, but I think Kyle Williams is a buy.
41:16I think he's by, I think Romeo Dodds and AJ Brown are going to keep mostly off the field of fantasy relevancy
41:23in the immediate, but like deep stash Kyle Williams is by, but I'm not giving up anything material to get him.
41:29Okay. I'll, I'll flip a Malik Washington, or maybe, maybe I'll, I'll flip, uh, you know, uh, an 80 Mitchell, or I'll
41:36give the B John Robinson owner, Brian Robinson city can, sleep more comfortable at night, but I'm not selling the farm for Kyle Williams right now.
41:43A third. I'll do a third because I think like she said before, and this is kind of where I've always been
41:50with picks like thirds or get your guy territory.
41:53Like if you, if you have a preference, like, okay, is there going to be another Kyle Williams in the third round next year?
42:00Sure. But would I rather just have Kyle Williams who I like?
42:04Probably. All right. We got to go over to chef here, but shout out to the pod father.
42:09Kyle Williams come for that ass. Jeff. Whoa. Oh, Oh, you'd give the third for Kyle.
42:14Right. I mean, that's your boy. Yeah. Okay. First of all, I mean, we just, I just put a tweet out there
42:21that said, Kyle Williams is a delayed, not denied dynasty asset.
42:24And every single time I know that whoever Dickhead three, four, five is in my mentions about this.
42:29Oh, he's, if he was good, he wouldn't be playing during a preseason game.
42:33So every single time that he's given an opportunity, it shows up.
42:37It's the same. It's the same principle as Kayshawn Boutte, the booty warrior, but it's just on a much smaller scale.
42:43One catch, 70 yards, touchdown, one catch, 69 yards, touchdown in a preseason game.
42:48He, this is what showed up on his film out of, yeah, out of Wazoo.
42:52And you saw him have tremendous success at Wazoo with Cam Warden in the last year with whoever the quarterback was, but
42:59he was doing some really cool stuff. And I think that this is going to be a guy that they just kind of, he's on the back burner.
43:07I mean, it's pop Douglas's last year of his deal with the Patriots.
43:11So maybe does maybe next year with Romeo Dobbs and AJ Brown and him manning the slot.
43:16Does he get a full-time opportunity? We'll see. But yeah, give me a third or excuse me, give me Kyle Williams over
43:23the third round pick just because if that's the range where I'm going Zachariah branch or if Skylar bell has slipped back
43:30to that, I like Kyle Williams better as a prospect.
43:33And I like what I've seen him do at the NFL level in very limited snaps.
43:37So I would rather take that bet. Yeah. I think the, the bet for me is like, can Kyle Williams become a
43:44more of more than just a vertical threat receiver, which I think he can.
43:48But what, but when we do see the vertical threat receiver being played, like he looks fast on an NFL field.
43:55Right. And I think like, like bootay, I felt like had showed us like, Hey, I can do other things besides just have this kind of role.
44:03I can be an actual X receiver here. We've seen it at times.
44:07We haven't seen that yet from Kyle Williams. Cause he hasn't really had the opportunity, but when you do see Kyle Williams, it's an electric play.
44:14Like you said, Jeff, and that's, that's good enough for me to hang on the kind of the 80 Mitchell run out.
44:21Right. Yes. Oh, we've seen electric plays from him.
44:24We haven't seen a ton of drops from Kyle Williams.
44:27Like we, we saw, you know, AD had some run out and then just had, had some drops in some big area.
44:33The Colts were kind of done with them, moved on and maybe going to get a second life here.
44:39And maybe that's what it takes before Kyle Williams actually gets a real opportunity is the second life.
44:45But it does seem like with the skills, like it seems like the three skill sets that the Patriots mainly have right
44:51now, all are complimentary of one another, which is what I really like about Kyle Williams opportunity this year to just catch
44:58a little bit of fire because he operates completely different than the two other guys that they have as well as the, you know, the tight ends.
45:06So that's, I'm with you guys. I definitely a third, I don't want to go too crazy with, you know, it's hard
45:13to value Kyle Williams necessarily at the time. And he's probably again, going to be more of like somebody who I don't
45:19singularly target, but I'm constantly going back and forth to trying to get him thrown into the trade.
45:25Right. He's not a singular asset trade. He's a, you know what?
45:28I'll take Kyle Williams from the bottom of that bench over there, man.
45:32And you know, most people are going to say, yeah, sure.
45:35Not Chev, Stan or I, but most people. So anyway, let's, let's transition to a, a big, a big time player here in, in Ted McMillan.
45:43Um, now Stan, I don't know where you stand on, on Ted, but we're currently, he's currently wide receiver nine and super
45:50flex PPR, um, FFD, uh, crowdsource rankings, which were like 40, less than 40,000 away from a million swipes.
45:56So come on over to the FFD, get some swipes in and, uh, and help your boys out, help yourself out, ask
46:02yourself some questions that you didn't know needed. Answering, uh, with the swipes there.
46:06So anyway, currently wide receiver nine super flex PPR 26 overall.
46:10He had about a 15% slot usage last year, but it does seem like the game plan this year is to get
46:16those rookie numbers up a good bit. And we actually, I, when we were, I think, were you?
46:22Yeah, we did the test stuff together. Um, I kind of had a similar, like with Jaden Higgins, like I thought power
46:28slot would have, is a good move for him.
46:31And now we're getting it a little bit. How, and Stan, I want to go to you first.
46:37Cause I know where, I know where Shev and I kind of stand on this.
46:41Um, does this move the needle at all for you with Ted?
46:45And if you weren't in on tech before, I mean, this is the tough thing for me.
46:50I'm already all the way in on Ted. In my player rankings, he's wide receiver 10 and dynasty, but you know, have
46:56your cake, eat it to nine, 10, whatever you prefer.
46:59I own a ton of Ted. I bought a ton of Ted during the season last year.
47:05Now, what you are talking about is exciting to hear for us.
47:08Ted lovers out here. We can all put on our, our, we love Ted McMillan shirts and wear them together at the fantasy meetup every year.
47:16But yeah, that slot rate last year, I believe was between 15 and 16% for Ted or O McMillan.
47:22Now, what are we talking about? Doubling that maybe up to 30%.
47:25Okay, great. Give me more opportunities for Ted or O McMillan to get the ball in his hands early and often from
47:32Bryce young, who hasn't exactly been the staple of passing glory.
47:35So I think all being said, if my Tets bags weren't already massive, I'd be buying more of them.
47:41Well, she have, you know, we've been talking about this offensive line and the, and the, they're a little bit banged up
47:48and, and kind of put it together and, and maybe it'll turn out to be okay.
47:52But again, I feel like just this move just gives Bryce even more of an easy button to, Hey, get the ball out of your hands.
48:00There's this huge man over here. Just toss it over to him.
48:04Extension of the run game with Ted McMillan. Right.
48:07So, you know, I would love to hear your thoughts.
48:10Again, I know you were very high on, as you call him the big pineapple.
48:14But what does this do for your confidence in all the things that you've loved about Ted or O McMillan?
48:20I mean, we've got like, how many targets can this man get this year?
48:24It's just, it's gotta be, we're going to get the easy ones as well as, you know, obviously he's a red zone
48:31kind of guy with, with this kind of size.
48:34He has a chef. What has this done for your Ted or O McMillan feelings?
48:38Ooh, buddy. I, I saw this and then I found myself.
48:42I woke up levitating above the fucking cement aisle.
48:44I could not believe that this was my gripe with, this was my gripe with the Panthers and Ted or O McMillan.
48:51And the way that, the way that Dave can now is former wide receivers coach kind of deployed him.
48:57Last year, they didn't do any of the red zone stuff.
49:00That's, that's his thing. Just going up and winning 50, 50 balls.
49:04He's six, four, almost six, five. He's athletic. You saw that at the university of Arizona.
49:08You saw now he was more physical than what I anticipated coming into the, coming into the league.
49:14He was, you know, he's trying to run people over.
49:17He's trying to finish plays. So if they're going to then give him the short area, easy targets and bring that a
49:23dot down to where we can go from 120, 24 targets that he had as a rookie to one 50, one 55.
49:30And that, that raises the ceiling of the passing offense in and of itself, because my biggest issue is that all that
49:37said, Ted O'Neill and going 70 for a 10, 24, 10, 14 and seven last year, that all happened with the Panthers averaging 188 yards passing a game.
49:45So can we get that to, can we get that to two 30?
49:49Can we get it to just somewhere that's, that's respectable that where it puts you on pace to throw for close to 4,000 yards.
49:56What does that look like for Ted O'Neill and McMillan?
49:59That's 150 targets, probably 110 receptions, probably 1400 yards and seven to 12 touchdowns.
50:03So now we're talking about a probably top five wide receiver finish.
50:07So this is the music to my ears that I've been waiting to hear all off season.
50:12And I couldn't be more excited about it. Would you got like, so does this put hand like Drake London or, or Ted O'Neill and McMillan?
50:20Uh, uh, light skin. I'll guy. Meaning Drake, meaning Drake London.
50:23Yes. Still Drake London. Yes. Okay. Stan still. I'll go Drake London, but it's dang close and, and not to pull on
50:30this string too much and go on in the side, but I will say I was in a dynasty startup not that long ago.
50:37And I was sitting there at the three Oh one.
50:40Drake London had somehow fallen. I had the opportunity to move back to the three Oh three.
50:45And I got actually a great return where I was able to, you know, move from the ninth round up to the sixth round.
50:53I ended up doing it. And I took 10 at the three, three came away with, with a Saquon Barkley instead of
50:59a Deandre Swift felt really good about it. So I think like, that's the level of margin I'm playing with now where
51:06it's like, yes, I'm going to take Drake London, but it's no longer far and away.
51:11Like I would definitely hear, hear the deals here.
51:13All right. I CD lamb at 27 and a half years old.
51:17And Ted, a row of McMillan with, you know, if you know, Bryce young, everybody's a little trepidatious about him.
51:23The line are the Panthers for real or not, which, you know, I thought what we saw at the end of the year from the Panthers was nice.
51:31Right. I feel like it was a good boat of confidence to feel okay.
51:36Going into this year where you were kind of maybe losing a little bit of confidence, but what, what would it look
51:42like to go from Tet to CD? I mean, obviously if you're a big time competitor, you probably don't want to do
51:49that, but like middling team, maybe starting to age a little bit.
51:52Like, is there a scenario that you could paint where you'd be willing to go from, from CD?
51:58I mean, obviously there's always a scenario you can pay, but like without too much extra.
52:03I think at the bare minimum, it's a, it's a one, two pick swap.
52:07Like I would, I would hear it. I mean, if we're expecting, let's just say you're looking at a team that doesn't have a great roster build.
52:15And I think I can get a top six pick in 2027 and I would be sending away what I project to be a late 27 second.
52:23So you're talking a pretty solid jump there. I I'd hear the argument for sure.
52:28Shiv. This is, this is tough. If I'm, if I'm a team, that's just, just kind of middling their way to one
52:34Oh six or one Oh seven with CD lamb.
52:37I would, if I could, the smash except is getting some sort of first round pick with Ted or McMillan to, to come off of CD lamb.
52:45But I would take an early 70, second in a late second in the same class, like this 2027 class to come off of CD lamb.
52:53You're saying go back from CD to Tet and pick up two twos.
52:57Yes. Yes. I believe the pick swap from like, you'd take a, you'd go back from, you'd swap the second for the first basically.
53:04Yeah. I go CD in a second for Tet and the first, if the shoe fits.
53:09Yeah. I'd say this is interesting. This is interesting because I feel like there's been a lot of, like I said, trepidation
53:16with, with Ted of just like, yeah, we, cause we've kind of got them hanging right outside of that cornerstone range.
53:22At least that's where we've been sitting, but like right on the doorstep.
53:26But I felt like we couldn't quite give it to him.
53:29And this feels like the nudge to, to make them into a cornerstone as far as the dynasty, you know, that asset.
53:36And maybe you were already there, Stan, but I know she haven't, I had multiple conversations.
53:41Is he, isn't he? It's just, it was the, we just had to see, we had to have the outcome confirmed.
53:47Like with everybody else that we considered a cornerstone, we already had, Hey, this was 16 and a half points a game for Drake London.
53:54Hey, this was a record all time record for receivers, for targets and receptions for Malik neighbors.
54:00We haven't had that. We had a great season from Ted Aro Macmillan in an offense that didn't really have a seal, a true ceiling.
54:07Like I said, Bryce young 188 yards passing a game last year.
54:11So we need that to, we need that to be confirmed in order for us to go ahead and go from the 13 points a game.
54:19He was as a rookie. We need 16. We need 17 to make him a cornerstone.
54:23Yeah. Look, I think my thing with Ted and this is the bird of one, right?
54:28Is it's a lot less of a conversation about Ted and it's way more of a conversation about the quarterback.
54:34I mean, if Ted Rowe Macmillan had a, had a bow Nix or a Brock Purdy, I think we would say he's a cornerstone asset.
54:42I mean, when we were talking about Bryce young a second ago, the crazy thing with Ted Rowe Macmillan, when Bryce young
54:48cleared 205 passing yards, Ted Rowe Macmillan averaged over a hundred receiving yards during those games.
54:53So like, if you could just give him a quarterback that was averaging over 200 passing yards a game, which isn't the
55:00steepest ask, that's a bonafide cornerstone in my book.
55:03And I think we've seen the same issues, at least for me with Garrett Wilson, right?
55:07Like you had quarterback limitations there, but Garrett Wilson's a guy that I would have been fine saying is a cornerstone asset from a talent perspective.
55:15A couple of years back, if we just had the Aaron Rogers experiment pan out, or we actually had some sort of
55:22not ring around the Rosie get up in, in New York.
55:25And so I think that's my, that's, that's my, my spiel on Ted, but cornerstone, you might already have me there.
55:31Yeah, I like it. Basically. Like I look at it as, yeah, like we can, we can, like you said, that was
55:38a good stat pool of, of over 200. If he throws for over 200 yards, Ted basically goes for a hundred.
55:44If we, we had 70 receptions last year, if we can, if we can just easy button 25 more receptions, we're looking
55:51like we're going to get South of a hundred receptions.
55:54We're close to a hundred receptions and a hundred receptions of just, especially PPR just walks him into, you know, into a, into the cornerstone territory for me.
56:02If we're going to say, Hey, we can, we're going to be a, we're going to have Ted a row of McMillan.
56:09We're going to have that upside when things go well, but when they don't, if we're going to force feed like 20
56:16more targets for the year to him, I think we're, I think that makes me pretty excited.
56:21So just wanted to bring that up. It felt like it was something that was tantalizing there.
56:26So we've got about 10 minutes left here. We're going to go quick.
56:30We've got two or three more things to talk about.
56:33Let's talk about stripling, obviously super hot in the streets right now, but let's just go buy, sell, hold around the room.
56:40And then I'll pull up some trades while we're going just general sense.
56:43Shev, I think I know where you stand, but buy, sell, hold on strip, hold Stan.
56:48Buy for the right price, but, but hold. Yes.
56:51Okay. So the last trade in the database is stripling and a 27 third or a 27 first.
56:56So a 27 first for stripling and a 27 third.
56:59You don't like Stan doesn't like it. I'll take my first round pick there.
57:04Yeah, I'm taking, yeah, I'm 1000%. This is again, process wise.
57:07You were taking stripling depending now, again, this is when you do your rookie drafts is, is in the first round now.
57:14Like, yes, he is firmly in the first round.
57:16Now he was not, if you did again, this is for, this is for my guy in the comments that was like,
57:23why do you do your rookie drafts so soon after the, after the NFL draft?
57:27It's because Deshaun stripling goes in like the fourth round of those rookie drafts.
57:32And now I can go get a first round pick for him.
57:35So give me the 27 first. I'm willing to be wrong.
57:39He could be the next Puka Nakua, but I, I will live with, I will live with my failures and I will
57:45just take, I'll take the found money and I could go do something else.
57:49Cool. With that first round pick. I, I feel like that is this, this is peak male pattern, rookie horniness.
57:55And we're seeing the outcome confirmed that, Hey, Deshaun stripling, the organization had really high hopes for him.
58:01Here's like, here's eight receptions in a preseason game.
58:04Here's seven receptions in a preseason game. Here's him doing all the cool stuff that he did in college.
58:09So I, I could capitalize on that and take the first round pick.
58:13I have no problems with that whatsoever. I'm seeing a couple of, 28 seconds in here.
58:18Does that, is that, is that easier mind a little bit of taking the 28 second or would you, or, or stripling on that side?
58:26Cause I'm thinking stripling on the 28 side. Give me, give me stripling over a second.
58:30I'd even do a mid 27 second at this point.
58:33Call me crazy with how much hype that class.
58:36Sorry. Sorry. A 28, a 28 first, a 28 first.
58:39I'm seeing a lot of 28 first. I'll take out that.
58:42I'm good. I'll push that out. I'll take stripling and see what the run out is here because I think I'm still
58:49going to be able to get it. You know, somebody will be interested.
58:53Um, but the 27, I can understand the 28.
58:56I'm fine with, I'm fine with, I'll take strip.
58:58You get, you got more time to try to figure out how to get that, how to get that pick back.
59:05But at the same time, again, process wise where I have stripling, I took him in the fourth round.
59:10I took him in a third round. Understood. Understood.
59:13But at some point. Yeah, no, I mean, I, somebody's going to come knocking for that 28 first and, and let, uh, I'm okay with it.
59:21What I'm saying is I'm okay with cashing out stripling for a 28 first.
59:25If I need stripling or if I need, like I need depth, then you can just, you can hold him and say, Hey, all right.
59:33I think this is the elevator is not at the top floor.
59:36I'm good with that. What is, what is your sense here with getting, you know, two years out on a first trade?
59:43Yeah, I look, I, I think from what you were saying, Casey, you know, I talk about the dynasty rental strategy all the time.
59:50Send your 28 first, use the player for a year.
59:53If you're pretty confident, you can get a first back form next off season.
59:57Then you depreciated the asset, almost nothing. Right. Maybe if I got to give a first and a third, okay, I don't
60:04get the third back a year from now. Big whoop.
60:07I rented him for a third. I could see that argument.
60:10I think I'm still taking the first. And I think the only reason for that is just based off the psychology of
60:17what I know that first can get me in package deals down the line.
60:21I think it's just like, okay, I shop it to the right guy.
60:25I take quench on Judkins. I add a first.
60:28Now I can go buy myself a hammer, you know, for a contending run, a Jonathan Taylor, a James cook, Devon H and to the right guy.
60:36That all being said, I think it's just, it's fringe though.
60:39It's fringe. Yeah. I would, I would say that's a luxury situation.
60:43If you're sending out the 28 to buy strip, that, that, that would be the, I'm not, I don't want to buy them because I need them.
60:51I want to buy them because I can. And I, and I know I'm, I've been, my construction is rock solid and
60:58it's probably going to be most like, I mean, you never want to get too far down the line, but all right.
61:04One more Tony Pollard and strip or Roma dunze.
61:07It's gotta be Rome, right? It's gotta be Rome.
61:10Yes. And you guys are really hitting me on every single Washington guy in the book.
61:15Did we gear this as the Seattle? That was not intentional.
61:18That was unintentional. We just happen to like a lot of the Washington guys.
61:22All right. We got two more things we want to talk about.
61:26And we're almost out of time. We had Jacoby lane on the, on the sheet.
61:30So buy, sell, hold Jacoby lane, Shev. I'll go you first.
61:33Cause it feels like that you, that you like lane over there.
61:37Stan buy, sell, hold, and then we'll, we'll throw a couple of trades out.
61:41Hold hold. This is everything. So all the things that he's good at is, are what the, what the Ravens are asking him to do.
61:49This is not a square peg round hole situation.
61:52I, this is to me, this is signal, not noise for where you're able to get him.
61:57I've had to, I told you on the front end when he got selected by the Ravens, him and Surratt, I was
62:03bummed about that because I was like, man, there's just not enough ceiling around for them to actually see a ceiling outcome.
62:10But now with the uncertainty surrounding Rashad Bateman, with the uncertainty, you know, and what like the role is going to look
62:17like with Declan Doyle, I'm going to hold and just see where this goes because almost certainly it's not going to go to zero.
62:24And if it's not going to go to zero, there's a good chance.
62:28And we'll put the foot, like we put the pedal to the metal and we're, we're pushing this down eight, nine, 10 weeks.
62:35He's caught five or six touchdowns because Mark Andrews may or may not be cooked.
62:39And now they need a new red zone weapon.
62:42And it's just him and Zay in the red zone, just doing real cool stuff.
62:46So I would, I would hold here. If I have, if I have Jacoby lane, I would even, I would even start sending twos.
62:54If I'm like, Hey, I want to take a bet on Jacoby lane because everything that I thought, everything that we saw
63:00him be good at at USC, even though like the details aren't there as a, as that you would necessarily like to
63:07see all of the, all of the talents are being accentuated.
63:10And if that's going to be the case, then we could get to positive outcomes for him faster and sooner than later.
63:17And we could figure out how to do all the rest of the things.
63:21Yeah. As we're, you know, kicking it down the road.
63:24All right. So over to, over to Stan here, we got a six, four 22 year old, just specimen here.
63:30And I think, you know, the reason that I would lean more hold than anything is just because sort of alluding to
63:37what Chev does, like the highlight plays are going to be think the things that people remember from him.
63:42So I feel like the value. And to me, this just comes down to is Declan Doyle good at being an OC or not.
63:50If he is, then lanes probably, you probably should hang on to him.
63:54So what, what draw, what drew you to lane?
63:56Cause I know you're saying buy and hold here.
63:59I would assume. Yeah. Yeah. I'll sit on that.
64:02I mean, to the, to the degree though, and maybe this is going to make me sound a little crazy since I just talked him up.
64:10Like I'm above selling nobody. Like if the right price comes a knock and I will send Jacoby lane away.
64:16I also have a luxury of owning maybe eight to 12 shares of Jacoby lane at this point, uh, with my dynasty degeneracy.
64:22So I think I have a little bit of a, of leeway there.
64:26All being said though, I think exactly what Chev was, was highlighting there.
64:30I mean, you do have a skillset at a Jacoby lane that is very different from what Zay flowers offers you as the primary pass catcher there.
64:38Now you've got Mark Andrews in the building, right?
64:41Can he return to the form of previous top six, Mark Andrews?
64:45Some would say yes. Some would say no. Some would say sit on in the middle ground there.
64:50That's probably where I'm at. Maybe a top eight to 12 finish here for Mark Andrews this year.
64:56All being said, I think Jacoby lane has the chance to cement himself as like the long-term wide receiver two in Baltimore here.
65:03And if that happens this year, and like you mentioned with the offensive coordinator changes, then you're going to be looking like
65:09you got a steal for Jacoby lane. If you brought him bottom for a second round pick today, I'm not in the
65:16range of sending a first or anything crazy. In fact, I still wouldn't even be sending relevant players like a Deandre Swift
65:22that might really push me over the line this year to try to win just for some rookie upside.
65:28I think those deals all exist down the line.
65:31Yeah. There's a, there's a Jaden Higgins for Jacoby lane straight up post injury, which it's Higgins for me, but I mean, it may be lane for you.
65:39I don't know. I think, I think take your pick dead.
65:43Even I think if I'm anywhere near contending this year, I'll take Jacoby lane just because I might actually get points out of him from week six onwards.
65:51But well, to your point, you might even be able to use him as, as capital to do something else with, if
65:58he's doing something, whereas you're not going to get any much capital out of Higgins.
66:02Yeah. I think I'll lean lane. You convinced me, push me over the line there, Casey, you'd have a hard bargain.
66:08My friend, I'm still going Higgins. I'll go. I mean, if I'm trying to, if I'm trying to capitalize and flip this
66:15asset, flip this house, I'm going to go Jacoby lane here just because I'm going to see him doing things.
66:21It's going to be top of mind. That being said, if you do, if you do have Jacoby lane and you're not
66:28going to compete this year, that's something that you should probably explore.
66:31Sending Jacoby lane, maybe attaching like a fourth round pick to it to go get Jaden Higgins.
66:36And then we profit in 2027. This is a good pivot to the last part of this.
66:42Jacoby lane for Mike Washington, straight up. Give me Jacoby lane there.
66:45Oh, wow. Um, wow. Okay. Okay. That was a yesterday.
66:48That was a yesterday trade. Not having, not having fun anymore, guys.
66:52August 23rd on that trade. Yeah. I mean, I, I don't know.
66:55I mean, all the, all the reports from Twitter say that Mike, you know, Mike Washington is a new RB one in, in Las Vegas.
67:03Didn't you hear guys? But I, I probably I'll go, I'll go Mike Washington there just because if this whole thing, if
67:10we're going to get off to a slower start for Ashton gentey and Mike Washington comes out of the gate and looks
67:16anything like he has in the preseason thus far with this rebuilt offensive line, you're going to have some really aggressive, really,
67:23really aggressive trades that you can probably pull off or use him as a tool inclusive, like included into a bigger deal
67:29to get something to tear up, to move around.
67:32He's going to be a utility piece. I think faster than Jacoby lane will Jacoby lanes.
67:37Long-term value is much more stable. And Joe, Kobe lane could be, like I said, with the uncertainty surrounding Rashad Bateman could
67:44be in the wide receiver to roll as soon as week one.
67:47So that's the, this is the dilemma here. I think that with the injury to Ashton gentey, we just, we just need
67:54a little bit of Mike Washington, just like shampoo a little bit goes a long way.
67:59He pops off a 60 yard run in week one.
68:02You're going to have some really aggressive offers in your inbox for Mike Washington.
68:06So it's already aggressive through these rookie drafts that are happening right now.
68:10And obviously, so we had some big news, but even before that big news, it was getting very aggressive for Washington, almost
68:16sort of to the point that I was making with Jacoby lane, like the splash plays are going to be splashy with Mike Washington.
68:24And that's kind of what has driven the price.
68:26Like we got some preseason runs. If there was, if those were 10 yard runs or whatever, then, you know, and he,
68:33but when he pops out of there and runs another 30, everyone's like, Ooh, who's that guy?
68:38Um, a la Damien Pierce. Right. Yeah. And who's that 25 year old out there running the ball.
68:44He's 23, but I know, I know that's part of the running joke there.
68:48Um, but so where do we, where do we settle in on Mike Washington?
68:52What is it? What is it? What is it?
68:55What is it? What is it? What is a good fair non drunk goggles on Mike Washington right now to close the show?
69:02Stan. Oh, if you're a national genti owner, just based off of the hype of yesterday, I could see you giving up
69:08a future second round pick to bring them in as your handcuff.
69:12I don't even think it's getting it done right now.
69:15Yeah, but that's probably not getting it done. And I think it looked like not to derail us back into my Washington fandom and Kubiak in the building.
69:23And I think the main question you need to answer with Mike Washington is how much is this going to be a Kenneth Walker, Zach Charbonnet situation?
69:31And am I going to copy and paste what worked for me when I ran a super bowl?
69:37Or is this a Ashton Gentry is way more talented.
69:40We have to actually utilize him as a workhorse back situation because all I need to see is Mike Washington get some
69:47Zach Charbonnet style usage in the first six weeks of this fantasy football season.
69:51And I think we're having an entirely different conversation on what Mike Washington jr is worth.
69:56I was, I was talking to Jason on the phone who is owner of the FFD and edits the videos.
70:02And if you're an OG, you know, Jason, but what I've, and we were, we were kind of joking around a little
70:08bit, but what this does kind of do your point is it opens up a can of worms of a split that
70:15can't go back in the bag that, that, that we, that I certainly like, I think Gentry is just that good.
70:21And I think this run out with Kubiak was going to be that good.
70:25And I thought we were going to get a split, but it wasn't going to be anything like we just saw, but
70:32like for this season, at least, and then have questions coming into next season, this just opened up a whole can of
70:39worms of if Mike Washington comes out and looks explosive and really good, and they're trying to ease Gentry back in, this
70:45could be something that we battle that I certainly just was like, ah, we're going to be just fine.
70:51Gentry's going to do his damn thing. It was so bad last year and he was still like RB 11.
70:57He's a stud, but this does, I think could potentially put a wrinkle in how that split goes.
71:02Okay. Where this we're with healthy Ashton Gentry. If we didn't get to see, we didn't get to see Mike Washington do his thing.
71:10Like he has been in the preseason. This is probably LaDainian Tomlinson, just shelving Darren Sproles and Michael Turner back in the day.
71:17Now, now you've got to start to have a little bit more aggressive visions to where this is like Mike Washington could cut into the work.
71:24Allah Thomas Jones. For those of you who are my age or in that were in high school in the early two
71:31thousands, you remember the late 2010, the early 2010s where Jamal Charles was famously capped putting up 1500 yards from scrimmage seasons,
71:38but only scoring like six touchdowns because Thomas Jones was getting in the way.
71:42And he, he, he's basically that generation Zach Charbonnet.
71:45So I think that that's probably where this is headed.
71:48I think that you're going to have, I mean, Mike Washington, four, three, three speed Buffalo's all time, longest single, single rush,
71:54the longest Russian in Buffalo program history also belongs to Mike Washington.
71:58So you have this guy with an incredibly athletic skillset.
72:01You have Ashton Gentry, who is all damn near a singularity of a talent.
72:05They're going to be a, as potent of a one, two punch as we could possibly imagine.
72:10That's where I think it goes. I think Mike Washington is really good at football.
72:15I think that Ashton Gentry is, is transcendent as a running back in terms of his contact balance, his ability to hit
72:21home runs, his ability to catch passes out of the backfield.
72:25And I think Mike Washington is a step down from that, but also he's going to be able to hit home.
72:31Think of a young Latavius Murray. It's kind of what he puts you like where he was hitting the, hitting the LT and scoring 90 yard touchdown runs.
72:39Like that's what you could get from Mike Washington, which is a really good football player.
72:44And it's going to be really hard to keep that guy off the field because no running back outside of Christian McCaffrey plays 90% of the snaps.
72:52Right. Well, that's, this was kind of my thought going into it was like, Hey, we're going to, we're going to see
72:59like a 70, 30, maybe even 65, 35 kind of situation with them.
73:03And there else, there is a scenario where Mike Washington comes out and it's, it just falls on his face a little bit.
73:10And we're like, all right, we're good. But I don't know.
73:13It seems like there is a little bit of sliver that this could put a wrinkle in things.
73:19Stan, I'll give you final word on this while we get out of here.
73:23Yeah, no, I don't have too much more to add on the Washington thing.
73:27I think premium handcuffs are worth the buy in the right circumstances.
73:31And depending on your league format, I mean, as we get deeper down the format totem pole to start 10, start 11, start 12s.
73:38Now you're making a really good case to actually start spending some, some draft capital on, on Mike Washington here.
73:44That all being said, I probably am not spending too much more from just a neutral third party, non-Ashton Jente owner here,
73:51maybe a Trey Harris, you know, someone in that kind of range.
73:54I'd be, I'd be fine making the flip, but I'm not in the range yet of sending a Michael Wilson or, or,
74:01you know, anyone that I think has some serious dynasty upside for Mike Washington jr.
74:05Here at the end of the day, we are still talking about at the upside, a 40% piece of a, of a
74:12pie on not the world's greatest team. Still a lot of questions to answer on the Raiders here.
74:17I like Kubiak as much as the next guy, this man's wearing a ring, but you know, at the same time, I'm
74:24not exactly ready to crown him King until I've watched these Raiders win a couple games.
74:29Sure. No, I like it. All right. Stan, where can we find everything that you do?
