Bucky Irving

NegativeBust0:34

Bucky Irving is a sell because his ceiling is capped by Kenneth Gainwell (who had 80 targets last year) and new coach Zach Robinson's tendency to use committee approaches, similar to his Atlanta scheme.

Insight page
NegativeBust0:34

Bucky Irving is a sell because he's smaller than average, only has fourth-round capital, and faces competition from Kenneth Gainwell and Sean Tucker in a new coaching staff system.

Insight page
NegativeInjury0:34

Bucky Irving has multiple injury concerns including a shoulder injury that has persisted for months, originally reported as a foot injury, with additional mental health considerations.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:35

Bucky Irving is not guaranteed a top-12 season and may not get a second contract, making him a risky dynasty asset compared to more secure options.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

NegativeBust0:12

Host ranks CJ Stroud at QB23 in dynasty (five spots below consensus QB18), grouping him with veterans like Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones; believes his rookie season was an anomaly and serious regression suggests he could hit rock bottom, with scheme fit concerns and constant offensive coordinator turnover in Houston.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveValue0:10

Host suggests Caleb Williams could be acquired straight up in a trade for Lamar Jackson, indicating he views Williams favorably as a potential target for contenders.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveProjection0:24

Chase Brown is ranked in the top 12 running backs and is a buy because he plays in a unique situation with two elite WRs (T Higgins and Jamar Chase) that consistently open up light boxes for him.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:25

Chase Brown is a great receiving back in a secure position with minimal competition at RB, and there's a possibility the Bengals extend him soon, providing long-term stability.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:25

Chase Brown should be able to deliver top 12 RB production for at least two years given his skillset and the fact that he doesn't take hard hits or play overly physical.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:25

Chase Brown must be in the top 16 for dynasty RBs because he can deliver a top 12 season, which is more valuable than many other prospects given how quickly the RB landscape changes.

Insight page
PositiveUsage0:27

Chase Brown gets the high-value touches (goal line, majority of targets) while Samajay Perine takes the low-value carries, and Chase Brown has elite athletic metrics (94th percentile burst, 92nd percentile 40-yard dash, 91st percentile college rating).

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveRole0:16

David Montgomery is in Houston's offense, and the team appears to want to invest in the run game rather than have CJ Stroud air it out.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveProjection0:28

Javante Williams is a buy at age 26 because he's in a similar situation to Chase Brown with elite offensive weapons (CD Lamb, Dak Prescott) and consistently delivered RB2 production throughout last season.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:30

Javante Williams is ranked ahead of Bucky Irving and is a buy because he's only 26 years old, just received an extension, and can be acquired without paying a lot for quality RB2 production.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:31

Javante Williams is an elite pass protector and one of the best in the NFL at the position, which ensures he'll always have a role on passing downs and stick around in the league.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:32

Javante Williams has a true three-down skillset with great hands out of the backfield, not just pass protection, and can work at the goal line, making him a top-10 opportunity share candidate for RBs.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:34

Javante Williams had a career-high 4.8 yards per carry, scored 11 touchdowns, and broke off a career-high 66-yard run last season, with room to grow in the receiving department.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveRole0:35

Kenneth Gainwell was signed by Tampa Bay as one of their bigger offseason signings and had 80 targets last year in Pittsburgh, positioning him as a receiving back who will cap Bucky Irving's ceiling.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:38

Kenneth Gainwell had his own breakout season last year in Pittsburgh and could be the real deal as a receiving running back in Tampa Bay's offense, not just a pet project.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeBust0:08

Host is selling Lamar Jackson despite him being QB2 in consensus, citing his age (29), reliance on rushing ability, injury history, and new defensive-minded head coach that could limit offensive upside; suggests trading him down to Jackson Dart plus a first-round pick.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

NegativeBust0:12

Host references Michael Penix as an example of a quarterback who was overdrafted a couple of seasons ago and whose actual real value in dynasty is now questionable.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveRole0:13

Host mentions loving Nico Collins as a weapon for CJ Stroud, though notes the overall offense may not support high passing volume.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveValue0:09

Mahomes has slid in consensus rankings and likely won't return much in a trade, though you could potentially acquire Jackson Dart (QB10) plus a first-round pick if trading him away.

Insight page

Sean Tucker

PositiveSleeper0:38

Sean Tucker is an undrafted RB who looked flat-out better than Bucky Irving all of last season and has elite metrics (90th percentile 40-yard dash, 95th percentile bench press, 95th percentile college target share).

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:39

Sean Tucker broke off multiple long touchdown runs last season and the Buccaneers offense was flat-out better when he was getting the ball, suggesting coaches will realize they need him more on the field.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper0:39

Sean Tucker is a value pick because he was undrafted and will have to keep proving himself, but his eye test is excellent and he could be a strong option if Bucky Irving gets injured again.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveBreakout0:10

Host has Trevor Lawrence rising in dynasty rankings as a guy with a bright future; he's only 26 years old and benefits from Liam Cohen's presence in the offense.

Insight page

Ty Simpson

NegativeBust0:05

Host ranks Ty Simpson at QB 25-30 in dynasty and is selling immediately, believing he was a big reach by the Rams and unlikely to help fantasy teams now or in the future despite high draft capital, though his trade value may be at an all-time high before he takes the field.

Insight page

Tyler Shough

PositiveSleeper0:18

Host is bullish on Tyler Shough as a buy in dynasty, ranking him around QB17-18 (six spots ahead of consensus), and would rather take him than Ty Simpson; believes the ceiling is higher for Shough despite lack of long-term deal and first-round draft capital, praising his situation and fantasy ceiling.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:19

Pete identifies Tyler Shough as his biggest buy at QB, noting he was an early second-round pick despite being thought to go much later; emphasizes the importance of landing spot and scheme fit, particularly with Kellen Moore's offense which has historically produced fantasy value.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:19

Tyler Shough is ranked QB 17 in dynasty but will be ranked considerably higher in redraft rankings due to his fit in Kellen Moore's high-volume passing offense in New Orleans.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:20

Tyler Shough's age (26) and experience are benefits in Kellen Moore's system, as he has enough maturity and reps to execute the offense effectively despite being a second-year QB.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper0:21

Tyler Shough and Malik Willis are both fascinating dynasty prospects because you don't have to pay a lot to acquire them, yet they can help you win now and potentially develop into more efficient passers long-term.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:21

Tyler Shough offers dynasty value because you can get him at a lower price than Lamar Jackson while only losing a modest amount of points per game in the box score this upcoming season.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:22

Tyler Shough's maturity and age (26) are benefits for his development, as he has accumulated more reps and experience than younger QBs, which contributed to his strong play last year.

1:50Welcome back to the Fantasy Edge podcast sponsored by GoBallerX Labs and brought to you by the Player Profiler Fantasy Sports Podcast Network.
1:57Joined by Jeremiah Retzlaff today, very special guest from the Player Profiler world.
2:01We're here to do sequel of sorts, part two of our Dynasty Buy Sell that we did about a month or so ago.
2:07I think it's the time is blending all together right now.
2:11We did a pre-draft Buy Sell Dynasty Strategy episode, talked about players were buying and selling at each position.
2:16Now the draft has happened. There's a lot of rumors starting to swirl as we approach off-season minicamps, OTAs, et cetera.
2:22Pete's here to break down all things Dynasty Strategy Buy Sell with me here tonight.
2:27Without further ado, Pete, man, really appreciate you hopping on to do this again.
2:31And what's been going on lately in the Player Profiler world?
2:34Pete Yeah, man. Appreciate you having me on. Not really much has changed, right?
2:38I mean, we're just getting ready to finish and preparing to guide the draft kit, right?
2:43That we're getting all that started over at Player Profiler for redraft season, as well as just getting out our projections, early projections for this year.
2:50So super excited about that. And yeah, I'm just in the weeds, you know, doing my research, kind of trying to start
2:57formulating, you know, where I see players and offenses for the year, kind of how I see them panning out with target distribution and everything else.
3:04And you know how it goes sometimes when you just kind of get in the thick of it.
3:10So it's kind of nice when you don't have to worry about week to week when you're in the NFL season, you
3:16have, you're not on the clock to like get content out.
3:19So it allows you to kind of have a little bit of a more fine comb to kind of look through some stuff.
3:26And it's enjoyable. This is a good time of the year.
3:29And I'm excited for the next couple months coming up.
3:32Yeah, absolutely. You know, we've done at the Fantasy Edge podcast here, we've done, we did quite a few pre-draft podcasts, more
3:39or less on the player profile aspect of these different prospects coming into the draft, right?
3:43And like, trying not to speculate too much on landing spots on scheme fits just of like historical comparisons, right college efficiency,
3:50and which of these skill sets can transfer to, you know, year one success in the NFL and who can help out
3:56our fantasy football teams in the short term, and the long term, but now now we know, right, like, it's not just the combine results.
4:03And, you know, creating a model for these player profiles, right?
4:07We know the landing spots, we know the offensive coordinators, we know the scheme fits, we know a decent amount right now about the depth charts.
4:14Obviously, a lot is going to change from now until the end of the summer.
4:19But we're in a different spot now, we can actually start to put together, change our rankings, update our priors, etc, etc.
4:25So, you know, I have my top 300 dynasty rankings and tiers that I released a couple weeks ago, as well as
4:32my top 100 rookie rankings and tiers. You can find those on our brand new website, which is Fantasy Edge HQ.
4:38That's FantasyEdgeHQ.com. Also at the website, you can find links to our free Substack newsletter, which we relaunched a few weeks ago,
4:44our podcast, our YouTube channel, all of our social channels, we're posting clips and reels from our long form shows as well.
4:51So we're just going to dive right into things here.
4:54I'll pull up my screen a couple times as well to show some of the rankings I'm referring to.
4:59But I want to go to the quarterback position first.
5:02And just looking, I think we don't have to sit here, Pete and debate like who's one and two Josh Allen, Drake May, etc.
5:09I kind of want to dive deeper in into the quarterback rankings and see, you know, for me personally, I'll just start
5:15off with a guy that I'm higher on than consensus going into the 2026 season.
5:20And yes, like I know that this guy could, I think when it comes to year one, versus, you know, later down
5:26the road, I think one guy that I'm going to sell right off the bat is going to be Ty Simpson.
5:32And like, obviously, everyone was surprised that he was drafted as high as he was by the Los Angeles Rams.
5:38We all know the memes and the videos and gifts from Sean McVay and his reaction to that.
5:44But at the same time, like high draft capital is supposed to mean something and has historically mean a lot in prior NFL draft seasons.
5:51I just don't see a bright future for Ty Simpson in the event where Stafford retires, you know, there's already been rumors
5:57about McVay stepping down from his post when Stafford does decide to move on.
6:01And I just think it was a big reach on the Los Angeles Rams part.
6:06And at this point, you may be able to get more for Ty Simpson now than you ever can like his trade
6:12value just might be at an all time high before he ever sets the field because of that upside.
6:18And like, what could he be type of first round quarterback draft pick?
6:22So he's one guy off the bat for me where yeah, I get this is we're talking dynasty here, but I've got
6:28him down past QB 25 near QB 30. Overall, you know, next to guys like Bryce Young veterans, you know, Jared Goff, etc, etc.
6:35I just don't know if he's ever going to help my fantasy team either when now or when towards the future, maybe he'll prove me wrong on that.
6:43But he's my first sell coming out of the draft is Ty Simpson.
6:47It's like great landing spot on paper if Matthew Stafford would ever go down.
6:51Maybe he's got he's obviously got some good weapons around him.
6:54I just don't know if I do trust the profile of the prospect here with Ty Simpson and the longevity that he
7:01might be able to have despite him being a top, you know, top 15 overall pick in the draft.
7:06Yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm kind of there with you with Simpson.
7:10What I would give pushback on is, I expect his value to kind of hold, you know, unless, you know, there's no
7:16real way for him to lose value. I feel like here, right?
7:20If anything, it should gain value if Stafford goes down and it looks bad.
7:24And we're saying, yeah, he's definitely not coming back next season.
7:27He's going to retire. That's where I see him losing value.
7:30The only way he also lose, sorry, gaining value, he can also lose value, but just being terrible.
7:35I mean, I, the Rams, I don't think they're locked in to say, Hey, Stafford, Stafford were to get hurt this year.
7:42And Ty Simpson was to step on the field and be really bad.
7:46I don't think they would be locked in and say, yeah, we're not taking a quarterback next year with how good the class looks.
7:53Now it might be a lot to invest in that, in that group.
7:56But again, I think teams are showing us that they're willing to be aggressive and eat the mistakes that they make with the quarterback position.
8:04So there is some risk there with Simpson. Ultimately, I don't think he's a panic sell where you have to move him right now.
8:11But, you know, maybe move him when camp starts.
8:13And if he starts to look a little bit better and gets some good reports out of camp, maybe, maybe that's a
8:20time where you can go sell him because maybe he, maybe he gets a little bit more confidence in the dynasty world and streets.
8:27A player for me at the quarterback position that I'd be selling right now is Lamar Jackson.
8:32You know, Lamar Jackson, great player. You know, he's ranked right now as quarterback two in consensus rankings for dynasty.
8:38And I think we're at an inflection point with Lamar.
8:41He's 29 years old. He just got paired up with a defensive minded head coach, you know, and Jesse Minter, you know,
8:47kind of similar to the CJ Stroud stuff that worries me.
8:50Like when you have defensive minded head coaches, you know, it can limit the upside for the offensive side of the football.
8:57You also factor in Lamar's 29 years old, right?
8:59A lot of his game is using his legs and the rushing ability.
9:03And we saw him kind of pile up the injuries last year.
9:07He's got this weird thing where he deals with illnesses a lot.
9:10I don't know what that is, but it's been time and time again with Lamar where, you know, he's dealt with some
9:17sort of illness and I don't know, I'm not a doctor and it's not something that's been shared as to what that might be.
9:24But for whatever reason, I think at quarterback two right now, I think it's a good time to sell Lamar.
9:29I think you can tear down from Lamar to like a Jackson dart, maybe get and get a pick on top of that, like a first next year.
9:38I think that's a, that's a wise move to make Patrick Mahomes is ranked in consensus right now.
9:43You know, he's kind of slid a little bit as well.
9:46So those are the kinds of moves I would make.
9:49I mean, Mahomes, you probably, you're going to have to spend, you're not going to get much back, but if you did
9:56dart, who's quarterback 10 in consensus, you could probably get dart in our first next year.
10:00Maybe you could get Caleb Williams. You know, if you were selling to somebody who's a contender and they didn't want to
10:07take the chance that, that Williams and the bears don't take a step forward next year, but I could, I could even
10:13do Caleb straight up, you know, with Lamar, even if you don't really get anything added on top.
10:18So that's where I'm at Lamar love the player.
10:21I just worried about the cliff and if the legs start to slow down with a more conservative game plan at head
10:27coach, you know, I just, I do worry a little bit if we're kind of at that ceiling and, you know, he
10:34can only really lose value at this point. And history says his style is going to slow down.
10:39We would think sooner rather than later. Yeah, I think that's a good call.
10:43I've got Lamar Jackson as my QB three in dynasty.
10:46I've got may one Allen just in a tier of their own.
10:50And then I, I agree with the Caleb Williams, last dynasty risers and fathers episode we did with Chad Parsons last week.
10:56I talked about Trevor Lawrence. He's a guy that I have rising in my rankings, right?
11:01Former number one pick overall with Liam Cohen there in town.
11:04I do see a very bright future for a guy who's only 26 years old.
11:08And you talk about Lamar Jackson. I think about like with growing up watching the NBA with Alan Iverson, right.
11:14Of like, you know, once he loses that elite speed and his ability to just be able to have the ball in
11:21his hands, the entire game and have an entire team rely on him.
11:24Then like, can he fit in and kind of just be like that down to down, you know, pocket passing quarterback and
11:31really, you know, be able to elevate his teammates with just as passing.
11:35Right. And then I give Lamar Jackson a ton of credit.
11:38I think over the last five years, he's tremendously improved as a passer.
11:42But again, like, you know, when, when is like, you know, when are you going to reach that peak?
11:47And when are you going to see the value start to decline?
11:51It's, it's, it's, it's hard for me to see Lamar Jackson's value rising any more than it has over the last couple
11:57of seasons or where it is right now. So I think that's a really good call out.
12:02I think what, with the thing I mentioned as well with the guy like Ty Simpson, you know, you, you look at
12:09a guy like Michael Penix, who was overdrafted a couple of seasons ago and you know, what is his actual real value now in dynasty?
12:16And I think that once Ty Simpson hits the field, I'm going to just bet on him, his value declining.
12:22And if he proves me wrong, he proves me wrong, but that's kind of the other end of the spectrum.
12:28I'll go with one other cell here and you can wrap it up with a player to buy.
12:33I just want to touch on someone that I've been meaning to touch on.
12:37Haven't been able to in these last couple of shows we've done, but you kind of alluded to a little bit with Houston, CJ Stroud.
12:44Like I've got him QB 23 in my dynasty rankings right now.
12:48And that's five spots below the fantasy pros dynasty consensus.
12:51For me, they have him at QB 18 overall.
12:53Like I've got him in my tier four alongside guys like Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones, Kyler Murray, veterans like Baker Mayfield, you
13:00know, Jared Goff, Matthew Stafford, Bryce Young. I just don't see a world where CJ Stroud is bouncing back right now.
13:06Yeah. I know he has Nico Collins and I love Nico Collins, but the, the, the real serious decline and regression we've
13:12seen in his game over the last couple of seasons, it just makes me think more and more that that rookie season was an anomaly.
13:20And at some point, like we could hit an even lower point.
13:23We could even hit rock bottom with a guy like CJ Stroud, where he completely loses his confidence, his trade value.
13:29So obviously like, I still think there's a little bit of cache there with people can still say, yeah, you know, he
13:36hasn't even played five years at the league. He's going to get back to somewhat of that rookie form.
13:41We saw, I just don't know if that scheme fit is going to be there anymore.
13:46Like we saw there and the constant turnover we've seen when we're, we're constantly being disappointed with the offensive coordinators in Houston.
13:53And it's like, okay, well, CJ Stroud finally has a chance to write himself and how he really just flatline in the
13:59playoffs and the way his confidence looked completely broken.
14:02I'm just not sure if we're going to see a bounce back despite him being just 24 years old.
14:07So I'm not going to completely bury them, bury it in my ranks, but instead of having that in that QB 15
14:14to 20 range, I've got them more in like the QB 20 to 25 borderline 25 ish range as well.

16:06Protect yourself now at Aura.com slash remove. Yeah, and the one that, look, Stroud is the kind of player that I try
16:13to avoid, and I'm kind of with you. I have Stroud as my 23rd quarterback behind Kyler, Cam Ward, Mendoza, Stafford, Jared Goff, Tyler Shough, Baker, Mayfield, Dak.
16:21With Stroud, this is a guy that does not run.
16:24So even if we're thinking of a guy that could be in a conservative game plan, which is a concern with that
16:30defense and with that coach, he also is not going to give you make up for it a little bit with his legs.
16:37This is a guy that his most yards rushing was 233 in 2024.
16:41As a rookie, he rushed for 167, last year 209.
16:44He's not giving you much on the ground, and the best season of his career was 23 touchdowns.
16:49With how things went last year, how good the defense was, I think they want to invest in this run game.
16:55That's why David Montgomery's there. They want to run the football.
16:58They don't want to have CJ Stroud airing it out.
17:01I do think with Stroud, the nice thing is I'm expecting a contract extension.
17:05I know some of the guys at the player profiler house that are plugged in, we talked to some guys there, and
17:12they've had some conversations with some people that said the Stroud deal is pretty close to just being finalized.
17:17So I expect Stroud to be extended by the time week one rolls around.
17:21So you do love the idea of the insulation, the safety net.
17:25That's really the only thing that's kind of helping Stroud out right now.
17:29And what you can hang your hat on is he's a quarterback that's going to get an extension and is going to have a safety net.
17:36And you know, he's going to be around and have a starting position for the next two to three years, most likely because of an extension.
17:44Whereas, you know, the ceiling though, is just not there for Stroud with the way the offense is.
17:49Like, don't get me wrong, there's a lot of weapons, but I just don't see this offense airing it out.
17:55Like, you know, some might have hoped. Now for me, and then we can, you know, you can, I'll tie it up.
18:02If you have any extra things you want to say, you know, you can go ahead.
18:06I mean, you, you talked about, you know, Tyler Shucks on, you know, the, the show sheet here, it's on the title
18:13for me, Tyler Shuck is, is still a buy.
18:15I think you can get him pretty, pretty decently priced right now.
18:19Like going out there with what the cost of Ty Simpson was in this past draft, there was a world where you
18:25could get Ty Simpson and probably, I mean, Tyler Shuck and probably still get Tyler Shuck for that pick on the clock.
18:32When Ty Simpson's on the board, I would much rather take Tyler Shuck right now.
18:36Fantasy pros has him ranked about 23 Tyler Shuck, about six spots ahead on consensus right around where Baker and Dak are.
18:43And so I would, if you're, there's a world where you could even flip CJ Stroud for Tyler Shuck and a first
18:49next year or two next year, those are a world I wouldn't mind because the ceiling is higher, is higher for Shuck
18:55in my opinion, even if the longevity is, you know, he doesn't have that, he's not tied to a long-term deal and
19:02he didn't get first round draft capital. Those are the only real big concerns I have, but I like what I like
19:08the situation that he's in and the ceiling for fantasy.
19:11Yeah. I'm with you on that. To me, Tyler Shuck is my biggest buy because I think with these quarterback selections, we,
19:18we, we want to look at like, who was the, who was the number one overall pick, right?
19:23Fernando Mendoza. Then we look at the guy like Tyler Shuck.
19:26He's like, Oh, he was overdrafted, but he was still an early second round pick, even though a lot of us quote
19:33unquote ball knowers thought he was going to go much later in last year's draft.
19:37Right. But it's all about the landing spot. It's all about the culture of the scheme fit.
19:42And I think that if, if any offense we could be attached to, regardless of ADP price in drafts coming up this
19:48off season, and that's, that have been ongoing, we want to be attached to Kellen Moore's offense, like the tempo, the pace
19:55of play, how many pass attempts they throw per game, their pass rate over expectation.
19:59We know that when Kellen Moore was in Philadelphia, we wanted pieces of that entire offense in Philadelphia with Jalen Hurts, AJ
20:06Brown, Devonta Smith, even DeAndre Swift, that running back at the time, like we wanted pieces of that.
20:11And as soon as he leaves, we see that offense completely plummet in terms of fantasy value and really expectations, right?
20:17We're all disappointed in their respective outputs. So I think with a guy like Tyler Shuck, he fits that system perfectly.
20:23He's got enough mobility to make it work. He's also going to be in the right place to where, you know, yeah,
20:30he might not, they might not be winning a ton of games, or maybe they are a little competitive in that division
20:36this year, but he 26 years old. I think that's a benefit because like he is a little more experienced than some
20:43of these other, you know, you know, second year quarterbacks.
20:45And yeah, I think as, as an overall prospect, you don't want that, but as, as a, as a dynasty owner, you're
20:52like, Hey, I got a second year quarterback, but he's 26 years old.
20:56Like he knows enough now to hang in this system and to make the most out of this system with Kellen Moore in New Orleans.
21:03So absolutely. Like I, I have it on the screen here in my dynasty rankings.
21:07I've got Tyler Shuck QB 17. In terms of my, my redraft rankings, which I'll be, I'll be posting my post-draft update next week.
21:14I'm going to have Tyler Shuck considerably higher than, than QB 17.
21:18This, this is only just like, Hey, you know, how much long-term potential does he have?
21:23Like, I think Malik Wills, Tyler Shuck, both those guys I'm really fascinated in because you don't have to pay a lot
21:29to get them and they can help you win now and they could potentially even blossom into bigger, more efficient passers and
21:36help you even more long-term as well. So yeah, I really like to call it on that.
21:40And it seems like it's more of a polarizing process of a dynasty prospect where it's like, yeah, Tyler Shuck redraft best ball.
21:47That's great. But dynasty, I'm not that interested. I actually am very interested in dynasty because I think you can get off
21:54a higher price than more Jackson plug in Tyler Shuck and be able to accumulate a ton of assets and how much
22:00points per game are you actually losing at the end of the day in the box score this upcoming season.
22:06I'm not really sure if it's going to be all that much.
22:09So yeah. Yeah. I would. And the last thing, the one thing I would add with Chuck and just quarterbacks in general
22:16is you make a point of like the age and the age is a concern for like running backs, wide receivers, tight
22:22ends, like whatever you can make the argument for quarterbacks though.
22:26Look, we, we operate, I operate for dynasty in two to three year windows.
22:30Right. And even at quarterback guests, it's great. You find a guy like Drake may, you don't want to move off him.
22:36If you have a good roster, there's no need to move off him.
22:40As long as that dynasty league is active and it doesn't fold, you got a quarterback that's going to be locked in,
22:46you know, for the next four or five, six years, you know, and you're golden.
22:51But the truth is like with a guy like Chuck, you know, if you get two to three good years, fringe quarterback,
22:57one years from him, you'd be happy. And like you said, quarterbacks coming in older are not concerning for me because again,
23:04two to three year windows, but also it's the maturity.
23:07It's the, the accumulation of how many reps they've had.
23:09A lot of these quarterbacks come in and they don't have those reps or they don't have enough.
23:15And it takes them a little bit of time to get settled and to get comfortable.
23:19I think that's part of why Tyler Shuck looked as good as he did last year because of the maturity, because of the age.
23:26And, and so I think that's a benefit. And some of these quarterbacks staying in college a little longer, there's risk like
23:33Garrett Nussmeyer, but it can also be a benefit if you stay back, you know, and can kind of sharpen your skills
23:39and get another year under your belt. Yeah, for sure.
23:42Let's move on to running backs here. Pete, I'll let you start off this position.
23:47Who's run, who's one running back that you're either buying or selling?
23:50I know we talked a lot about Kenneth Walker before the draft.
23:54I don't know if much really changed there despite them drafting Emmitt Johnson, but any guy high on the rankings, low on
24:00the rankings, who's one guy that stands out to you post draft in terms of buying or selling here?
24:06Yeah, I'm a, I'm buying chase Brown. Chase Brown is, is in my top 12 for running backs right now.
24:11Now I think that the, the Cincinnati Bengals proved to us and proved to me because I was not a big believer in chase Brown last off season.
24:20I started to kind of buy into it once I saw what they did with the draft.
24:25But to be honest with you, like this team still hasn't really added anything significant.
24:29Yes. Samajay Piran was a thorn in the side at times last year, but chase Brown plays in a very unique situation, right?
24:36He has two alphas on the outside and T Higgins and Jamar chase that are going to continuously open up light boxes
24:42for him to, you know, to, to, to get room to run.
24:46And so that's definitely helpful. Now the Bengals did add to the defense.
24:50So it should be a little bit better, but they're still going to be trying to air the football out.
24:55I don't think there's going to become a conservative, you know, approach from them, you know, when, with, with the talent that
25:02they have, they're still going to have their foot to the, you know, down to the pedal, to the metal with the offense.
25:09But I think chase Brown's a guy that gets overlooked because he's not the flashiest.
25:13He's not the most explosive player, but he's a great receiving back.
25:16He's in a very, very, you know, secure position right now with not much talent on the roster at the position.
25:23And I think there's a chance that they go ahead and extend him soon.
25:27You know, 26 years old. I think his skillset wise, this is a guy that he doesn't take a lot of hard hits.
25:33He doesn't play, you know, super, super tough physical.
25:36So you should be able to get two years at least of, you know, top 12 kind of play from him.
25:42And with running backs, to me, I always look at it like this.
25:46If a running back can give me, if I, if I look at a running back and say, yeah, he can give me a top 12 season.
25:54That guy has to be in like my top 16 for dynasty, regardless of age, because the dynasty running back landscape changes
26:00so fast with injuries, with age and with competition in the room that yes, two to three of your windows is kind of how I like to operate.
26:09But you know, if you can give me an elite season or at least a true running back one season that matters.
26:15And if I can guarantee that that's more than I can say for guys like Bashaw Tootin, who is kind of, kind
26:21of rising up a little bit this year and his situation is still a little gray.
26:26There's some guys towards the back end, RJ Harvey, right?
26:29Those are guys where it's like, can I really say top 12 season for them?
26:33There are things that have to happen for it to happen, like, you know, injury in the room or whatever for their, you know, role to expand.
26:41But Chase Brown, like that, you can clearly see the path of how does he get to a top 12 running back this year?
26:48And it's not that hard when you think about the passing volume in the offense, the light boxes, and just the touchdown equity that will be there.
26:56And the possibility of them also giving him an extension, which I think is very possible before the season starts as well.
27:03Yeah, no, I really like the call out there.
27:05I mean, you know, yes, it feels like he hasn't been in the league that long already 26 years old, but has
27:12only played those couple seasons so far. Came in obviously after a lot of years at Illinois, fifth round draft pick, but does the draft capital matter anymore?
27:20No, because like you said, he's in, he's in that role.
27:23He's got the talent around him. They trust in him.
27:26He's going to, he's going to get all the high value touches.
27:30Like I, I, a lot of people last year were kind of bashing him like mid season about sell chase Brown, Samajay
27:36P Ryan's coming in and taking these snaps and carries away.
27:39But you know, Samajay P Ryan is coming in and taking those low value touches away, right?
27:44Like the, in between the twenties carries, like some of the early down carries, we want chase Brown at the goal line.
27:51We want him getting the majority of the targets.
27:53And we know he's explosive as well. Like you see it up on the player profiler screen that, that, that we have
28:00up, you know, obviously 94% percentile burst score, 92nd percentile 40 yard dash was 91st percentile college rating above average college target share.
28:06So he, he checks all those boxes that we want despite his round five capital.
28:11And he's already surpassed that expectation of being around five, you know, running back prospect in the NFL.
28:16For me personally, I've got chase Brown technically a few spots lower than consensus, but I got him in this really large series.
28:23As you can see here. Well, you know, I have my top eight dynasty running backs.
28:28I've got chase around 14, but I've got them around guys like Amari and Hampton, Travion Henderson, Kenneth Walker, Travis CTN.
28:34So I totally can see somebody being in the same, being like, Hey, like I want to get off Josh Jacobs and
28:40move to chase Brown and make that trade happen.
28:43Absolutely. I'd like to do that. Same with Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, even if you're looking long-term.
28:48So I'd like to call out there one guy that, that I've got one spot above chase Brown.
28:53And it feels like he's been in the league twice as long, but is the same age, 26 years old as Javante Williams.
29:00And I think that we're still being held back from the couple of seasons where he came into the league really exploded onto the scene.
29:07We're like, Oh, this is going to, this is going to be the next great rookie running back prospect.
29:13Then he gets hurt. Then he comes back from injury too early has a couple of frustrating seasons.
29:18Right. And we're thinking like, Oh, this guy's career is done, but he's only 26 years old.
29:23He got the contract from Dallas. Right. And I, and I think in the same vein, what the, what the way it
29:29was set up is very similar to how the bangles are set up, right?
29:33Like they've got the veteran quarterback there in Dak Prescott.
29:36I don't see him moving on anytime soon. You've got CD lamb, you've got that Prescott, and then you've got Javante Williams to come in.
29:44And even though he didn't have, maybe didn't have like the most explosive second half of the season, you look at the games.
29:50He's consistently giving you RB to RB two numbers throughout the season, even though he was dealing with injuries late last year as well.
29:57We see, you know, before the buy, obviously half of the season, four or five different games of RB 10 production or better on the week.
30:05So I think Javante Williams can actually get better from what we saw last year in terms of what he did before the buy.
30:12And I just frankly don't see anyone else on that Dallas step chart.
30:16That's going to challenge him whatsoever. So it feels like he's been in the league a lot longer, but at 26 years
30:22old, I think he absolutely could have a couple seasons in him where he's the lead back and getting almost all the
30:29high value touches for one of the maybe most borderline top five, most explosive offenses in the league with Dallas.
30:35And I love the situation there. So I'm going to be buying Javante Williams.
30:39And I don't think you really have to pay a whole lot to get Javante Williams as a quality RB two back
30:45on your roster for short-term production this season, as well as the next couple of seasons as well.
30:50Yeah, I'm with you on Javante as well. He's been a guy that I'm looking to buy as well right now.
30:56I've sent out some offers. I, I have Javante Williams ranked ahead of Bucky Irving right now.
31:01Bucky Irving is a sell for me. Just a lot of concern about Bucky.
31:06Uh, and I would rather tear down to Javante, right?
31:08Javante is only 26 years old and, uh, he did just get the extension.
31:13Um, and the thing about a guy like Javante, this is a kind of player who lasts in the league a long
31:19time because he's a player that coaches and quarterbacks can trust great pass blocker that that's always been the thing with him
31:25is he, he, he's very, very good. I mean, he's an elite pass protector at the running back position.
31:31He's one of the best in the NFL. And so that's something that's always going to give him a role and have him stick around.
31:38And when you're attached to an offense that loves to throw the football, like he's always going to be in there for those passing downs.
31:46And so that there's, there's value there. Um, and, and, you know, what he did last year was impressive.
31:51Um, it was really nice to see him kind of shake the rust off and, uh, you know, kind of, uh, shake the narrative, right?
31:59Uh, he, he looked really bad in Denver the last two years with the injury and then, you know, just trying to come back.
32:06It just, it just didn't really work out, but it seems like he's got a, you know, fresh mindset.
32:11It's a fresh start for him. He, he did enough to get Jared Jones to sign another running back to an extension
32:18after the Ezekiel Elliott, you know, extension. So that should tell you enough that Jerry feels confident in him as well.
32:24Um, what I also would say, uh, you know, about Javante too, is really good hands out of the backfield.
32:30It's not just the past protection, but obviously it's the passing downs and the receiving work.
32:34And he can also work at the goal line, but there's really not much in this room.
32:39This is a true three down skillset. There is not really many running backs that we can point to in the NFL
32:46this year that we're going to say, Hey, this guy is going to get all the work.
32:51And I think I can, you can confidently say Javante has to be up there in the top 10 for at least
32:57opportunity share for all running backs in the NFL coming in this year.
33:01Right. I mean, Phil Moffa, you know, Jaden blue, there's really just not many guys in that room.
33:06So, um, I like to call out on Javante as well.
33:09Yeah. I mean, like, you know, Malik Davis, I like him when he plays, but he's not a guy that they're serious
33:16about becoming, you know, you know, the franchise RB and full-time starter there.
33:20And like, I'll, I'll, I'll be the first to admit.
33:23And I think this is something that you and I, we play so much fantasy.
33:27We overlook this compared to more casual players that are just getting into dynasty or that are looking to expand their portfolios
33:33and just leagues in general, whether it's basketball, just getting off your priors, your opinions is so important as a strategy, as
33:40just part of like, I wouldn't even go so far as to call it a strategy, but it has to be part of your strategy.
33:47Right. Like you never get married to a player take, never get married to an opinion last going into last year.
33:53I was completely off. I was completely out on Javante Williams.
33:56Right. And like, that's totally fine. Like he proved me wrong.
34:00And now I'm back in because like, because of the age, because of the situation.
34:04Right. And we see like, it's not just that, Oh, this is some veteran who just got a good opportunity and fell into a bunch of touchdowns.
34:12Like, no, like he had a career high 4.8 yards per carry, right.
34:16Scored 11 touchdowns, broke off a career high long run of 66 yards.
34:20You see the stats on the screen there. And I, and I think there's room to grow even in the receiving department as well with them.
34:27So yeah, I really liked Javante Williams. I'd like to call it on chase Brown.
34:32Who's one running back that you're selling in this range or a little bit lower down the board?
34:37Yeah, I alluded to it and, and I won't take up too much Bucky Irving for me.
34:42It's just a lot of red flags for Bucky.
34:44I talked about it on my show last week, but you know, Bucky Irving, you know, you have the shoulder injury.
34:51Originally it was a foot injury. Then it became a shoulder.
34:54You know, it was like we, every week it was like, we have no idea if Bucky's coming back.
34:59Then all of a sudden we hear, you know, there's some mental health stuff going on and, you know, we don't want
35:06to, you know, speculate too much on that, but it's just that there's a lot of things going on here.
35:12Smaller running back, right? A guy that, you know, fourth round capital.
35:15Yes. He looked really good his first year, but we have to sometimes be fluid about situations that are changing.
35:21This is a new coaching staff. Zach Robinson is here now.
35:24And Kenneth Gainwell was one of the bigger, the bigger signings or first signings that they made this off season.
35:30Kenneth Gainwell had 80 targets last year. He's a receiving back.
35:33That's going to cap Bucky's ceiling in my opinion for at least this year.
35:37Now dynasty again, two to three year windows, but for at least this year, we're talking about Bucky.
35:43Who's now going into year. I want to say it's year three.
35:46You know, what does it look like for him for an extension?
35:50He's, he's, you know, he's still young, 23 years old, but I just think the ceiling is capped a little bit with
35:56Kenneth Gainwell and Zach Robinson came from Atlanta and in Atlanta, Zach Robinson had the best running back in football and B.
36:03John Robinson and still had somewhat of a committee with Tyler out here, vulturing touches.
36:07So Bucky Irving is not B. John Robinson. So who was to say that, that Kenneth Gainwell is not going to be
36:13able to steal touches in the receiving game. And Sean Tucker is not going to be that big body that Zach Robinson
36:20liked to use last year with Tyler out here at the goal line.
36:24I think those are all very real concerns. And, and to top it all off, he's still not healthy right now from
36:30a shoulder injury that he had months ago. So I have some concerns about Bucky.
36:34I, I, I'll, I'll share this. I traded Garrett Wilson for Bucky Irving in a league that was very stingy at moving running backs.
36:42And I knew I was overpaying a little bit for Bucky, but I had a lot of wide receiver talent and that
36:48was like a month and a half, two months ago.
36:51And I'm regretting that move right now. Uh, I would much rather Garrett Wilson over Bucky in a vacuum, you know, you
36:57know, so should that's how fluid and quickly the running back landscape can change.
37:01And that's why I talked about, can you give me a top 12 performance?
37:06Can you be, can you give me that? And if you can, that has to matter.
37:10Um, you know, then, you know, Hey, is this guy going to get a second contract?
37:15He's 23 years old when he gets drafted is, you know, like our, the RJ Harvey conversation.
37:20Like, I don't know, like 60% of running backs don't get a second contract.
37:24Like let's focus on what they can do. How, how, what's the impact?
37:28How many top 12 seasons can they give us now?
37:31Can you imagine? And, and that's, that's the kind of thing that my mind goes to.
37:35And so I have some hesitations about Bucky right now.
37:38Yeah. Yeah. I'm, I'm, I haven't been that same tier that we're talking about right now, that really wide gap of tier
37:45two backs, but I'm, I'm with you. Like he's a guy where I might need to adjust my rankings and just move
37:51him down just visually to be lower than consensus.
37:54Because I feel like when it, when, when, when the time comes for me to be on the clock, like he's not
38:00a guy I'm excited to click right now. Right.
38:03So yeah, technically I have them in the same tier, but you know, he's, he's a day three running back at the end of the day.
38:10Right. Like what's really, what's really the difference between a day three running back and a, and a undrafted running back because
38:17there really isn't much when you talk about those second contracts.
38:20And I, I, I agree on him as a sell as well.
38:24And it didn't come in with elite metrics is a lot smaller than your average starting running back.
38:29I think that Kenneth Gainwell, they signed him for a reason.
38:32He kind of had his own breakout season last year in Pittsburgh.
38:36And I think he could even, it's not just like a pet, like a pet project of Aaron Rogers, like Kenneth Gainwell
38:42could be the real deal as a receiving running back in this offense.
38:46And let's not forget about Sean Tucker, who I thought just looked flat out better than Bucky Irving all of last season.
38:52When he touched the ball, he he's a guy I'll throw in as my final guy to wrap up the running back position.
38:59I'm just going to throw in Sean Tucker. You know, yes, he was undrafted 15 pounds heavier than Bucky Irving, right?
39:05Pretty much the same exact age. Look at his metrics coming into the league.
39:0990th percentile, 40 yard dash 95th percentile bench press.
39:12This guy is fast. This guy is strong. He's got juice.
39:15Not to mention he had a 95th percentile college target share.
39:18We saw him break off a couple of those long touchdown runs last season.
39:22I thought the Bucks offense was flat out better when Sean Tucker was getting the ball last season.
39:28And I think at some point the coaches, Baker Mayfield, et cetera, they're going to realize that and know that they need Sean Tucker more on the field.
39:36And God forbid something happens again to Bucky Irving's shoulder.
39:39Like, can you imagine a backfield where we know it's going to be all the touches are going to Sean Tucker and Kenneth Gainwell.
39:46I'd want to roster both of those running backs in that scenario, right?
39:50So I think for the price that you could get him just pure eye test for me, like I really like what
39:56I've seen out of Sean Tucker when he's gotten opportunities.
39:59And because he was undrafted, it's just, I think he's just going to keep having to prove himself a little more than
40:05other guys are going to have to, but you're going to get to a point where you're like, you know what?
40:12This guy has juice. We want to get him the ball.
40:15And I kind of see the trend line going in Sean Tucker's favor for being more than just a goal line running back in Tampa Bay as well.
40:23So I think that's enough running back talk. Pete, we'll jump off to the wide receiver position.
40:28Now, you know, for me personally, I know we talked a lot about AJ Brown in the last dynasty by cell episode.
40:34I talked about him as a cell, but when I started to really look at things now, like, you know, he's 28
40:41years old and let's just assume he's going to be in new England, right?
40:45Like the deadline or that the June 1st date is about 10 days away now from the time of recording here.
40:51I just think like, why can't AJ Brown have another Randy Moss mini like career revival when he goes to new England
40:58and plays with Drake may in that situation. So I'm surprised I didn't think that the expert consensus on fantasy pros would
41:04have AJ Brown all the way down at wide receiver 19.
41:07Like just a year ago, he was like a borderline top five consensus dynasty wide receiver.
41:12And like, I bumped them down from my rankings.
41:15Sure. But I just think that it's gone a little bit too far in terms of what Kevin Petulo did in Philadelphia
41:21last season to really just tank the public perception of these guys.
41:24And I think AJ Brown has gotten the brunt of that.
41:28And I, like you said, these two to three year dynasty windows of can AJ Brown give me elite PPR production over the next three seasons.
41:35And I'm not worried about a wide receiver crossing into the age 30 range as much as I am running backs, obviously.
41:42Right. Uh, I just think the hate has gotten a little bit too far in AJ Brown and I called him a
41:48sell, but I think the market has completely overreacted to this and he now becomes a buy just because like, why can't
41:55he be a top 10 receiver again in the right scheme with the right quarterback?
41:59I see Randy Moss 2.0 coming again between Tom Brady to Randy Moss.
42:03Now it's going to be Drake May to AJ Brown.
42:06And I think there's going to be a lot of fantasy goodness to go around here once he lands in new England.
42:12Yeah. I, and obviously, you know, my thoughts and I won't, I won't, uh, you know, hammer the point away too much,
42:19but, um, I think with AJ, you're looking at a player who has been a, a top 12 wide receiver in a
42:25points per game basis year after year after year.
42:28I mean, the last four seasons, I mean, we're talking, you know, a guy that's just consistently giving you and churning these wide receiver one years.
42:35And I think you look at AJ and if he goes to the Patriots and you tell them, told me, Hey, AJ
42:42Brown is going to give you two more seasons of wide receiver one play.
42:46I would tell you, and so you said, what is that worth to me?
42:50I'd say, well, that's gotta be worth at least a top 20 ranking at, at the lowest.
42:55Right. I mean, I have AJ Brown wide receiver, wide receiver 16 ahead of Rome behind lab McConkie and George Pickens.
43:01That's where I have AJ and I'm with you.
43:04Like, I think, you know, AJ going there, you know, that's also like, if he, that's, that's saying two seasons, what happens after two seasons too?
43:11If he, is he fringe mid wide receiver too high in wide receiver too?
43:15Like it's possible. And I also think many are talking about how the play looks like it's dropping off for him.
43:22I think people have to realize too, mentally, the guy was checked out, right?
43:26Wide receivers are full of divas. And I think there was obviously, it was very clear that AJ Brown was not giving it his all last season.
43:34So yeah, I'm right there with you. I mean, let's get spicy, I guess, and just talk about it.
43:39You know, Rashi Rice is obviously the big name and the guy that everyone wants to kind of know where people value
43:46him, where people have him in rankings. Rankings are tricky, right?
43:49Because where I have a guy ranked doesn't mean that that's where I would sell him for, right?
43:54You know, value in the market, you, you have to understand where you value him and where the market values him.
44:00And if the market values a person, a player higher than where you do, they're usually a sell, right?
44:06But just because my rankings have Rashi Rice is wide receiver 27 for me, doesn't mean that the market feels the same way.
44:12I put it out there on Twitter, you know, I got a lot of pushback on it, but I would trade Brian Thomas Jr.
44:19for Rashi Rice straight up. And if I could get a little bit more on top, I would do that as well.
44:26I think you can. I went to Dynasty Daddy, there were plenty of trades where Rashi Rice is still being valued as a top 20 wide receiver.
44:34And there's a lot of people that are say, well, he's not getting suspended.
44:38So who cares? But I think a lot of Dynasty players are not thinking about the fact that he's got no insulation with the Chiefs.
44:45This is a guy that's going to want to try to get the biggest bag he can get next year after this
44:52season, because the Chiefs are probably not going to pony up with a lot of guaranteed money unless he's absolutely elite, which
44:58I don't think he's that kind of player. I think he's a good player, but he's gotten spammed a lot of volume.
45:05He's not a top 12. He's not an elite player.
45:07And so I think he's going to test the market probably after this season.
45:12And I don't think Kansas City is going to be willing to pay.
45:15It's probably going to be a team that's got a lot of empty, you know, deep pockets that needs a wide receiver
45:22that's willing to take a chance on a guy like him.
45:25And so if he's not with Patrick Mahomes in this very, very niche role of him being like a low ADOT player,
45:31what is his value in a lower volume offense where his skill tree is not that great?
45:36I just don't see his skill set translating well.
45:39And then obviously you have the concerns of the guy just can't get out of his own way.
45:44So yes, 27 feels aggressive. I have him right ahead of Marvin Harrison Jr.
45:48And even still, I still have kind of questions, but the red flags have been there.
45:53And, and I think you can still sell for him for a good price without saying, Oh, this is selling low.
45:59I just got to hold on to him because I don't want to sell him low.
46:04I don't, I think you can still get really good value for him.
46:08Yeah. Yeah. I could go both ways. And I like his skillset and his profile personally, but I think the latter part
46:14of what you said, like the, the mindset and the mentality, right?
46:18Because to me, you see, you see the metrics up on the board, right?
46:22Like six foot, 200 pounds, elite bird score, borderline elite catch radius.
46:25And he earned these targets at an elite level in college, 33.2% college target share, 96 percentile.
46:30So I think that goes to show this guy is good at earning targets and filling that slot role and what he can do after the catch.
46:38But at the same time, like he could end up in a lot worse of a situation than with Patrick Mahomes.
46:44And that's where you start to worry overall, where it's like the talent's not good enough.
46:49And then the head case stuff starts to pop in.
46:52Right. So I've got him seven spots below the ECR dynasty rankings on fantasy pros.
46:56I've got him at wide receiver 22. He's at the very tail.
47:00He's at the tail end of my tier two or receivers, which starts with George Pickens at wide receiver 11 goes all
47:06the way down to Rasheed Rice at wide receiver 22.
47:09I would slightly prefer guys like, you know, Tyson and Lemon, Jamison Williams, Devonta Smith, Jalen Waddell, T Higgins.
47:15But I've got him kind of in that same range as well.
47:18But I think that's a very interesting call out for sure.
47:22And yeah, like if he has a great year this year, but then the contract comes up going into 2027, then you
47:28might want to sell high as well. And that's an interesting dynamic to think of.
47:32Is there any, any, anyone else you want to talk here at wide receiver?
47:36I know we're going to talk about a couple of tight ends here.
47:40I talked a lot of, you brought up Marvin Harrison.
47:43I don't want to, I don't want to like beat that one to death, but I talked a lot about last week
47:50of like, I'm actually higher on Michael Wilson than Marvin Harrison.
47:53And I think if you just swap the names on the jerseys, everyone else would be too.
47:58So I've got Marvin Harrison, a decent bit past consensus.
48:01I've got him as my wide receiver 32. He's dynasty consensus right now, wide receiver 27.
48:05Um, I, at this point, like I'm taking Michael Wilson, I'm taking Brian Thomas, Egbuka, Zay Flowers, Casey Concepcion over a guy like Marvin Harrison.
48:13Like I'm, I'm just out. He couldn't even do it last year when Jacoby Brissett was throwing insane volume for the Arizona Cardinals tanking in that situation.
48:21So I'm out personally, but I also agree. Like, why would you sell him right now for pennies on the dollar?
48:27Because you got to think there are some better games and better seasons ahead for him.
48:31So maybe he ends up being like an average like good solid receiver, but nowhere near what we thought he was going to be coming into the league.
48:40Yeah. And my, and my final call out and real quick would be, um, just a, a player that I'm buying is Christian Watson.
48:47Um, you know, I have him as my wide receiver 33.
48:50I might still have him move him up a little bit more, but, um, I'm just really excited about what he can do.
48:57I like what I saw you're, you're aggressive on him too.
49:00It looks like at 26. And, uh, this is a, a room and a team that Jaden Reed is now there.
49:06So while many might look at that as that's concerning, I also look at it like they're not going to probably invest very heavily in this room.
49:14They put first round capital and Matthew golden, who I don't think is very good.
49:18Jaden Reed is now extended, right? So Christian Watson has, you know, doesn't really have a guy that's going to be a massive target earner.
49:26If this guy can stay healthy, which is always the biggest question mark.
49:29And people are always going to say, ah, that's always the question with him.
49:33And I get it. But the truth is he looks phenomenal last year.
49:37He arguably looked like one of the better receivers in the NFL when he came back, uh, from injury, uh, for like a five, six, seven week stretch.
49:45So Christian Watson, I think is a really, really good buy right now.
49:49I think people are still kind of, you know, thinking of him as the injury prone guy.
49:54And I think you can really, really get some good value on him if you try to trade for him.
50:00So, um, Christian Watson's a guy that I'm looking to, I'm looking to get more exposure to.
50:05Yeah. I've got him at, I got him at wide receiver 26 and dynasty.
50:09I think you removed the injury concerns we had from a couple of seasons ago.
50:14I, I, the Packers offense right now makes sense.
50:16It was so convoluted and cluttered in the depth chart the last couple of seasons, but now it's like, you know, Reed is the slot guy, right?
50:24He's not going to play in two receiver sets, you know, golden, they want to be the field stretcher, you know, Tucker
50:31crap when healthy is going to be the go-to tight end almost every down player.
50:35Well, like who's going to be the receiver alpha.
50:38And I think that Christian Watson is starting to emerge into that category where he's no longer just that deep threat.
50:44He can really do it at all levels of the field.
50:47So I'm really high on Christian Watson. I trust in Jordan love.
50:50I trust in the situation there and then being an above average offense for at least the next couple of seasons.
50:57So I like that call out for sure. Um, tight end for me, I know we talked a lot.
51:02We, we, we did our, our, our, our super quick, uh, post draft mock draft on the player profiler, uh, network.
51:08When we were up with the draft house about a month ago, uh, we talked about a lot of rookies as well.
51:15So I want to try to keep it to non rookie talk for the sake of this, this specific episode.
51:21Um, is there anyone specific for you that jumps out?
51:24I feel like everyone's like, we all have the top three consensus, right?
51:27Bowers, McBride, Loveland, we get it. You want to rank them in a certain type of area as, as another fantasy player.
51:34I'm not going to try to argue with you to me.
51:37That's a clear tier one. Um, I like Fannin as like a borderline in that tier.
51:42Um, but I'm also not going to argue if you've got them a little bit lower than guys like Tyler Warren and
51:48Tucker craft, anyone stand out to you in terms of this top 15 top 20 here right now going into 2026 at tight end.
51:55Yeah, I think, uh, I, Kyle pits has become more intriguing as the days go on.
52:00Um, you know, this is a, this is a guy who's in a contract year, uh, kind of started to break out a little bit last year again.
52:08And, uh, he, he looked like he finally started to settle in the obvious concerns are what is the, uh, you know,
52:14what does this look like from a standpoint of this offense with the quarterbacks?
52:19But I did some digging into this Atlanta Falcons offense and how I project it to be in Austin Hooper, who played
52:25actually in Atlanta, but also played with Kevin Stefanski with the Browns.
52:28I think he's going to play a lot of inline.
52:31I think Kyle pits is going to play out wide, um, not out wide wide, but I think he's going to play
52:38in kind of a move flanker position at times, kind of like a big slot at the tight end position.
52:44And people say, well, isn't that what we've always projected him to be?
52:48But I think this is now an offense where we can see him flourish, where we've seen it be successful.
52:53Harold Fannin jr. Was used a lot in the slot last year as well, while David and Joku was kind of sacrificed in some ways.
53:01Um, and I think Kyle pits is a guy that, that will flourish in the offense.
53:05We saw Harold Fannin play very well. Um, and I think with this scheme, right, you're looking at kind of a, an
53:12outside zone scheme with a lot of play action, a lot of quick hitters, getting the ball out fast.
53:17This is a team that doesn't have early and established wide receiver to Zachariah branch.
53:22You know, it's a lot of misfits over there outside of Zachariah branch who hasn't really had a chance to, you know, prove himself just yet.
53:29And so I think Kyle pits becomes that number two wide receiver on this team.
53:34And I think 95 to a hundred targets is very, very possible for him this year.
53:38And the idea of the ball coming out quickly, um, I think is a benefit for him, uh, because he'll be on
53:45the inside, uh, where he'll get a lot of looks.
53:48So Kyle pits is a player. I think he's, I'm not saying he's undervalued, overvalued.
53:52I'm just saying where he's currently valued. I am good to go out and buy him.
53:57And, uh, I'm, I'm intrigued at, uh, at his cost.
54:00And there's also a guy that could get extended or could go somewhere else, but so there's no insulation there, but you
54:06could also maybe be intrigued by that too. He might go get a bag somewhere else after the season while Drake London and B.
54:13John Robinson are all on contract years as well.
54:16So, um, or maybe not contract years, but I think B.
54:19John's on his option or it hasn't, hasn't has a fifth year option and then London.
54:24So it looks like the extensions are coming, but, but pits is on a contract year.
54:28So I don't know if they're going to keep everybody.
54:31And I would think pits is probably odd man out.
54:34Yeah. I mean, I keep saying this, like what, what would have Kyle pits done if Drake London was fully healthy in the second half of last season?
54:43Would he have done any of what he did?
54:45Right. But I mean, if you're going to tell me that he is going to play primarily as a receiver, then that
54:52absolutely, that absolutely will change the ball game there.
54:54I've got him right around consensus in my dynasty rankings.
54:57For me, one guy I'm selling tight end is Brenton strange, you know?
55:01Yeah. He's young, only 25 years old. Yes. I want pieces of this Jacksonville offense, but, and I love, I love Trevor Lawrence.
55:08I talked to him about him on our, on our risers and followers show last week, but to me, show me what you're doing, right?
55:15Don't tell me, I think we're going to get a lot of chatter this off season about Brenton strange are starting tight end.
55:22We like him as our, you know, in our future offense, but you know, he really only contributed as a consistent fantasy option.
55:28When other guys were out last season, Travis Hunter banged up, you know, before they trade for Jacoby Myers, before Parker Washington emerges.
55:35And once all those guys are really healthy together, obviously sans Travis Hunter, Brenton strange was kind of mediocre.
55:41I don't know. He never showed up like, Hey, like this is going to be a future top 10 option.
55:47And then you just go out and you draft round two tight end and next workature, right?
55:52You also take Tanner Coase, the old very talented pass matching tight end who I really like a lot as a late
55:58round sleeper in rookie drafts as well. You know, I don't know, to me, I see the, I see the yards per
56:04reception numbers, you know, pretty, I would say modest at best, you know, couple of times he eclipsed 50 yards.
56:10But if you look at post by for Brenton strange, you know, you're seeing, you know, why 27 yards, 26 yards, 39 yards, 45 yards.
56:18If he's not catching a touchdown, he's not really going to be a top tight top 10 tight end for you.
56:24And the fact that they're bringing in, they invested multiple draft picks and this is the Liam Cohen system.
56:29Like these are the guys he wants. He didn't sign Brenton strange.
56:33He didn't draft Brenton strange. And I think he's going Brenton strange at some point could be trade bait, or he could
56:39just be the odd man out when we start looking into 2027 and reflecting back on what did we see happen on
56:46the depth chart over the course of the middle, later parts of the year in Jacksonville.
56:50So he's a guy I've got a wide receiver.
56:53I mean, tight end 23 in dynasty where the consensus has him as tight end 16.
56:58I've got him in a pretty big tier, but he's borderline going into the next year of guys where you start to
57:04talk about Dallas Scott or Hunter Henry, more veteran guys like that.
57:08So I'm going to be selling Brenton strange this last season if I can.
57:12Yeah, I'm okay with that call out to bet.
57:14This is an offense that through the wide receiver position a ton last year, top five in the NFL for targets to
57:21the wide receiver target share to the wide receiver position.
57:24You know, there's only so many mouths to go around.
57:27If you're somebody who believes in Bayshall tootin, right.
57:29You know, how does he get there with all these wide receivers?
57:33How does he get there? If you also believe in Brenton strange, like there's just too much.
57:38And also with the additions at the tight end position, Brenton strange is a very good blocker.
57:43So he can, he might get sacrificed to be inside as well on a lot of these runs and a lot of these, you know, heavy set personnel.
57:51And if they do become more of a heavier run team, what does that mean for strange?
57:56So I just think there's a lot of question marks for him.
57:59I like the skillset of him, but I just think ultimately there's just too many mouths to feed to count on him on a consistent basis.
58:07And if you're a tight end to me, you need to be able to have the potential to be a top two,
58:14you know, top two, maybe, maybe like in a high volume offense, like say the bangles, if the bangles had a good
58:20tight end, you can say, okay, if he, if he's receiver three at tight end, you know, that's okay.
58:26But like in majority of offenses, if you're not the number two target earner on the offense at tight end, you're probably
58:32not going to have that ceiling that we're looking for.
58:35And you're just going to be like the rest of tight ends where it's like tight end 10 to tight end 20
58:41is a difference of like two points per game, maybe a one and a half.
58:46Like it's just not much of a difference. So yeah, if you can get something good for Brenton strange, I'm good with that too.
58:53My last call out and then we can get out of here would be Isaiah likely I'm selling him as well.
58:59Consensus as of at 14, just not very high as a likely I haven't been.
59:03And I think you can get a good price for him right now with Malik neighbors concerns you know, with that, some
59:10people might be assuming that Isaiah likely could be the number two target earner on this team.
59:15And so I've never really been a big fan of Isaiah likely I've got him in a couple of leagues and I'm trying to get off of him.
59:23If I can, maybe you might be able to get a first next year if you kick in like a two.
59:29So likely as a guy in tight end premiums, especially that I'm trying to move.
59:33Yeah, I've got likely tight end 18, four spots below.
59:36Consensus has him as tight end 14. I'm actually six spots above consensus on Theo Johnson and I have them in the same tier.
59:43I'm at tight end 24 for Theo Johnson. Consensus is at tight end 30.
59:47I like Theo Johnson more as a prospect. I think he showed some on-field chemistry with Jackson Dart last season.
59:53I get it that likely is Harbaugh's guy, but if he was really Harbaugh's guy, like he would have played a lot
60:00more when he played for Harbaugh in Baltimore. It didn't amount to much last year.
60:04Exactly. And he's had ample opportunity to like surpass like Mark Andrews was, has been in like a two year funk and
60:11running, running, and we still haven't seen Isaiah likely emerge.
60:13So I think if anything could become more of a depth option and they could really just cannibalize each other at the end of the day.
60:21So I would absolutely love a first round draft pick for Isaiah likely, like you mentioned.
60:26So I think that's a really good call out, but that's going to do it.
60:30Really appreciate Pete, you coming on again to chop things up.
60:33I'm sure we'll get on the mic at some point, some point over the next couple of months before we get into
60:40the meat of draft season in August and going into the season as well.

61:19Pete, I know you got a lot of stuff going on with Roto Underworld, as well as player profiler based off sports network.
61:26What do you got going on? Where, where can we find you over the next couple of months in the off season as well?
61:33Yeah. I appreciate you having me on. You can find me on X at supernova 38 with two Rs.
61:38As for my content. Yeah. I do the dynasty stock market that releases on Thursdays.
61:43We talk about the most traded players where they're moving risers and fallers in terms of the market.
61:48Then also, I also do a first class fantasy with Wyatt.
61:51That also goes out on Saturdays. A lot of interesting stuff coming up.
61:55I'm so excited and just ready to get to redraft season soon.
61:59We got about a month and a half of, of hardcore dynasty content before we switch gears.
62:04So excited for that. And we're, we're kind of approaching that time of the year where it starts to get really, really
62:10fun for fantasy, especially for the sickos. And I'm excited for it.
62:13And yeah, hopefully we can jump on the mic again sometime soon.
62:17Yeah, absolutely, man. Everybody listening, if you appreciate it, if you could leave a rating or review, whether you're listening on Apple,

62:40We'll catch you next time. Peace out. Most people don't realize how much their personal information is being bought and sold every day.
62:46Data brokers are making billions, pulling details about you from public records and the internet, and then packaging and selling it, usually without your consent.
62:54That's how your information lands in the hands of scammers, spammers, even stalkers.
62:57It's why you get endless robocalls and why ads seem to follow you everywhere.
63:01That's where Aura comes in. Aura actively removes your data from broker sites and keeps it off.
63:06They also instantly alert you if your information shows up in a breach or on the dark web.
63:12But Aura goes beyond data protection. With one app, you get a VPN, antivirus, password manager, spam call protection, dark web monitoring,
63:18and even up to $5 million in identity theft insurance, all backed by 24-7 US-based fraud support.
63:23Other companies might sell just credit monitoring or just a VPN.
63:26Aura gives you all of it, together, at the same price competitors charged for just one service.
