0:00What's up everyone welcome into the Dear Ms. Fantasy with me your host Tara Roberts this is the official mailbag show for
0:07player profiler it is Wednesday August 19th I am slightly late for the live audience I'm sorry I promise I wasn't running
0:15late I was here in my stream yard was being weird and not letting me in but I got it handled and
0:22we are live so I am excited because we have a ton to talk about we had preseason games we have the
0:29most ridiculous amount of injuries ever and we have mailbag questions and we've got your questions so drop them into the chat
0:36right off the bat let's go ahead and dive into some of the injury stuff here and the first one obviously that
0:44comes to mind unfortunately is the Jeremiah Love injury had a beautiful preseason game was very effective as a matter of fact
0:51now granted it was against the Las Vegas Raiders and obviously that's not the top tier competition nor did they have all
0:58of their top tier personnel playing personnel playing in full so take it for what it's worth but they did look very
1:05competent the quarterbacks played well and Jeremiah Love played excellent but the problem is is that he I guess played a little
1:13too much and walked away with a high ankle sprain which is very unfortunate because that's one of those injuries where we
1:20don't have a obviously we don't have a specific timeline but more so than anything on having a specific timeline there are
1:27a lot of complications that can come from unfortunately and it makes it makes it difficult for us to really because it's
1:35one of those things where okay it could be like okay two three weeks you're fine you don't have any lingering issues
1:42rest of season or it could be one of those things that just continues to affect him as he is playing unfortunately
1:49so it does make us a little bit more apprehensive in terms of drafting him at cost and I was already not
1:56a massive fan of drafting him at cost because for me and I know this is kind of it's funny I was
2:04doing a live show um with my co-host Alfredo Brown on fantasy bros and he was um very anti-derrick henry I'm a
2:11little bit more comfortable with derrick henry maybe than the average person just because I don't take um his injuries into account
2:18as much as the next or his injury potential into account as much as the next person when it comes to age
2:25because he is a physical anomaly but I totally get why you would not want to group him with the younger backs
2:33that are a lot safer why you would not want to include him with in theory like a kenneth walker in a
2:40new location um a chase brown who is game script proof because if you know the bangles get behind for every reason
2:47they have receptions derrick henry is obviously a game script guy who unfortunately if lamar jackson gets injured we have the issue
2:55of uh lamar jackson getting injured and then derrick henry would unfortunately be victim to the game script of playing from behind
3:02not have the receptions and he just wouldn't have a successful fantasy game but we know that but for me I do
3:09group him into the low-end rb ones that I would feel comfortable with leading my draft off and then right after that
3:16and then I include josh jacobs as well just because I don't think that I don't think the suspension is happening so
3:24I'm operating as normal but then it's jeremiah love that creates this next tier of guys that I don't feel as comfortable
3:31leaning on as my true rb1 when I'm drafting so I was already apprehensive about that if it were a little bit
3:38further back maybe I would look at it but it would have to drop significantly for me to even consider taking the
3:45injury discount on him because they have so many backs on roster and at the end of the day if this is
3:53a team that we know was not and every team is trying to compete but if this is a team that reality
4:00wise when you look at their schedule it's going to be tough for them to win games it's not the fact of
4:07just them being a subpar team it's the fact that they have a one of the most difficult schedules in terms of
4:14high defenses that they're not going to be able to compete with with the combination of teams that have great offenses so
4:22it's just a very bad setup for them why rush jeremiah love back risk him through that injury when you already have
4:29low expectations for the season your back is already against the wall so in terms of drafts passing him unless it's dropped
4:36down significantly to a low end rb2 is where I might feel comfortable taking that swing at him and then we need
4:44to be looking at tyler algier because while he is not the fanciest he would be the direct handcuff there james connor
4:51is obviously an aged asset who has coming off or who is coming off of a significant injury we don't know what
4:58kind of shape he will be in he is older and trey benson and his injury issues and we just don't have
5:05a lot of confidence there so algier would be the one that we would want to target from a safety perspective uh
5:13jumping here to the chat before I move on to some other topics because we got the chat going here shout out
5:20to stephen king in the chat uh shout out to still bill in the chat says who dat shout out to uh
5:27fat boy sosa in the chat as well and then shout out to easy e as well always in the chat thank
5:34you working it says working out on the e-bag so I might not be able to comment but tuned in I love
5:42the dedication and the exercise I actually went to the gym earlier um I haven't been I went back like a week
5:49ago because uh once my kids got back from um their little uh family vacation with my family in south carolina they
5:56were at home with me before school started it makes it difficult for me to go to the gym so I finally
6:04got back to school or they got back to school and I got back to the gym today so I got in
6:11a little cardio too so we're we're fit friends today yay um and thank you for this uh super chat still bill
6:18um and then we got a question from the last dawn hey tara in a 10 team full ppr redraft where qb
6:25gets four points per touchdown that's critical four points per touchdown should I target a qb or tied in in early rounds
6:33if so which position to target so it being uh four points per touchdown versus six points uh there in general um
6:40as long as it's not a six point per touchdown league I do feel more comfortable this year not aggressively leaning into
6:47quarterback I don't think that you need to unless it's a team where there are a few situations obviously super flex right
6:54but there are very few situations where I feel like you have to go out in the second or third round and
7:02even fourth round and grab one of those elite guys just because of the fact that we have these high-end running backs
7:09that are well worth the investment early there's a clear tier as well once you get past RB 20-ish 21-ish where you
7:16start dealing with a whole bunch of uh wide receivers in the wide receiver two low end wide receiver two high end
7:24wide receiver three range that are your aging assets like Devontae Adams and Mike Evans who have super high upside burn extreme
7:31injury risk other injury risks like Luther Burden who has potential upside but is going to be coming into the season injured
7:38Christian Watson with his injury risk so it's kind of a weird range where I don't want to grab my wide receiver
7:45one from that range so if we're saying that we have to grab at least one running back at least one wide
7:53receiver preferably two running backs within those first four rounds then in theory it is difficult even in a 10-team league to
8:00lean in and go with one of the elite quarterbacks there so I think you have to pick between one versus the
8:07other of whether or not you want to invest in a high-end QB or a high-end tight end my preference especially in
8:14a 10-team league would be to invest in one of the high-end the tight ends in the early round because there is
8:22a separating factor between the elite producers and the level of volume that they give you and then pushing it back it's
8:29funny I was doing a show and I have traditionally been a late tight end drafter I love I love the thrill
8:36of tight end streaming like last year for me it was like Jawan Johnson Harold Fannan Jr.
8:42I love finding those late round gyms and making it work there and hitting big or you know jumping back and forth
8:49and streaming that's like I don't know there's something thrilling about it for me right but this year this year I will
8:56not be doing that so take that for what it's worth if somebody who has lived by the thrill of late round
9:04tight ends and streaming is telling you pause you might want to invest in one of those high-end options within the top
9:11at the very least the top eight because there is a dramatic cutoff please take that recommendation to heart there were options
9:18that I did previously like in the offseason before we got Stefan Diggs I like Chigo Conquo that is no longer a
9:25now it's he's someone that you can if you or if you have to stream or you're tight end premium that's fine
9:33but at the end of the day he is going to be the third look in that offense Terry McLaurin and Stefan
9:40Diggs will definitely be ahead of him and we want our guys to be one of the top two looks in the
9:47offense I previously liked Isaiah likely and I caution people to not overreact to preseason games but man I think we do
9:55need to be a little bit concerned with what the Giants did it's possible I talked about this a little bit in
10:02my last video where I did a recap of the week one preseason it is possible that they were just using the
10:09rotation that they were at running back and tied in as experimentation it's possible that's what they were doing and this was
10:16not a tip-off in terms of exactly how they would operate during the season because teams don't always do exactly what they
10:24would do in season like Denver Denver used RJ Harvey as a three down back then they were done with him they
10:31moved on and used Jonah Coleman as a three down back we know they operate a committee but clearly they were wanting
10:38to see those guys working individually so it's possible that the Giants were doing the opposite where they wanted to rotate through
10:45but in split time but it is highly concerning that we did not see a high usage in terms of snap count
10:53with the first team from Isaiah likely and he was definitely splitting with Theo Johnson so it's just a reminder and we
11:00know that there have been splits in the past in on John Harbaugh teams right and Matt Nagy is a risk at
11:07offensive coordinator as well so I'm kind of looking at Isaiah likely and it's not the surefire late round tied in to
11:15be the second look in that offense that I thought it was so that leaves us with very limiting options of late
11:22round options like Dallas Goddard is a guy that you could get but if we're getting to the point where there's only
11:29one maybe two that you can target and double digit rounds and feel comfortable that's risking it I would rather just go
11:36ahead and lock in one of the elite guys early and you know it's possible also we saw that Tyler Warren did
11:44get a little injury today doesn't seem like it's a major issue maybe that makes people a little apprehensive and he can
11:51drop back he's going in fourth rounds of 12 team drafts right now towards the end maybe his ADP drops a little
11:58bit the fifth round I would love that sixth round I don't think it'll drop that far but if it did that
12:05would be crazy and wonderful I would make the investment even with him dealing with an injury but I would push quarterback
12:13back and invest in the elite tight ends early and then fill in at other positions running back and wide receiver is
12:20priority yeah draft strategy in this one I tell you people now that doesn't necessarily mean that you have to push quarterback
12:27back back back back to Malik Willis who I do like by the way I do like Malik Willis especially in Superflex
12:35right like just a fantastic value there the rushing upside and whatnot but in your typical 10 man league I'm not gonna
12:42do that pushing it all the way back there you don't have to jump that far back you could jump as far
12:49back as like a Bo Nix and maybe that be your cutoff I do like obviously guys like Matt Stafford and Jared
12:56Goff from a volume perspective Tyler Shuck Kyler Murray from the rushing upside as well but I don't think you have to
13:04push it back that far I think it's perfectly fine to land in that QB 7 to 13 range as far as
13:11you're pushing quarterback back and not going with the high-end options from fat boy Sosa hamstring I've said hamstrings and groin injuries
13:18last all season yeah it's it's one of those things where um and for young guys I won't hold it too much
13:25but with the old guys especially as we talked about Mike uh we're talking about Mike Evans who is you know dealing
13:33with a plethora of little nagging injuries no major injuries but if you're dealing with little nagging sorry that was a text
13:40message that came through on my non-muted computer if you're dealing with little nagging injuries right off the bat here it's an
13:47issue let's talk about another injury here from uh comment from supreme link are you moving a buka down this one is
13:55concerning I'm I am moving him slightly down because for me moving him slightly down is I guess more so to a
14:02normal level because I was definitely very bullish on him uh as someone who I was wanting on every single roster this
14:09is another one of those injuries where toes are ambiguous we've seen it before to where they can be recurring issues throughout
14:16the season even if he came back and was ready for week one it's something that could plague him bother him and
14:24then maybe you get him out in week six seven eight you know and that same kind of deal that we like
14:31uh what was it Brock Purdy last year we know that sometimes they can be not a major issue or sometimes they
14:38can massively affect you so it's a risk with it being a risk I do not want to invest in him as
14:45my wide receiver one I'm okay with him as a wide receiver two unless we get news that you know this is
14:53extremely severe although I was looking on Twitter um I think Andrew Cooper uh with fantasy alarm I noticed right before I
15:00went live pointed out that uh sports books had taken down bets on a mecca buka and so that can always you
15:07know sometimes be a little bit of a heads up or indicator for that because they will remove bets for certain players
15:15and not for others and that can be an indicator of the severity so there is cause for concern I was actually
15:22I'm actually no wait I was actually gonna say I'm on the clock right now I realized I pre-drafted in that one
15:29so I'm good I'm doing a flex league with um Jake Seeley's flex leagues and I was having to make a decision
15:36on whether or not I wanted to take a mecca buka actually and I believe I went with I chose Garrett Wilson
15:44over him yeah I was trying to make a decision on wide receiver it's a 14 team league I was torn sitting
15:51there trying to decide do I stick with my guns on a mecca buka in the comfort level that I have or
15:58am I asking for trouble drafting as a wide receiver one because it is a 14 team league and I went double
16:05rb early am I asking for trouble taking a injured wide receiver in the third round to be my wide receiver one
16:13I think I am so I passed up I'm gonna go with the healthy option so I think he's still draftable but
16:20I am pushing him back because again just be very very careful you could be without your wide receiver one early on
16:27I was okay with reaching before now I am apprehensive and it does and it's and it's funny because I did another
16:34video talking about Chris Godwin as a priority target before the ADP spikes and I'm hoping that age and injury concerns with
16:42him in terms of we have you know for the past two seasons he hasn't been healthy for all indications right now
16:49he is dealing with no injury issues he looks perfectly fine they say he looks like the old version before that injury
16:56took him out in the prior season so cross our fingers we're not dealing with any major issues that will happen in
17:04season but for the value that we have in terms of him I think right now Ibuka is around let me check
17:11here real quick Ibuka is no no sorry I was looking for Godwin's ADP Godwin is around yeah early round eight pick
17:18right now he is up a couple of spots so mildly on the rise here but even if it pushes into round
17:25seven I think that's good value with the injury to Emeka Ibuka we do need to start looking at those other pieces
17:33Chris Godwin and Ted Hurst Jalen McMillan is also a piece he hasn't been dealing with an injury but I believe he
17:40did return to practice but I have talked about alignment before the fact that Jalen McMillan can play in multiple locations but
17:47ideally his position best position is in the slot so as long as Godwin exists there I think the best route if
17:54you're pivoting off of Emeka Ibuka would logically be to Ted Hurst and then Chris Godwin being healthy there so it does
18:02adjust how we are looking at some of these other players um going here to Daryl Payne here's an old-fashioned fantasy question
18:09with top RBs now returning to their top billing status yes they are they're getting paid thank you thank you always remember
18:16that it all started with our Austin Eckler's zoom call getting the RBs together to say hey man we can't stand for
18:24this anymore we have to get more money sorry guys dealing with a little bit of a cough here again um but
18:31with the top RBs returning now to their top billing status who is the most important handcuff RB to draft with your
18:38round one or two hero RB for me that would definitely be with Christian McCaffrey hold on guys I was perfectly fine
18:45before the show started and now as I'm sitting here talking all right I'm all good now I think uh Christian McCaffrey
18:53right because he does have the highest risk in terms of the repetitive injury issues that he has had when he comes
19:00off of those extreme high volume outlier seasons so handcuffing him is critical it was Jordan James Jordan James is dealing with
19:07the rib injuries that leaves Kalon Black who is now healthy he had a little injury for a second no major issue
19:14but Kalon Black and they say that Kalon Black has been looking good in training camp now obviously Kalon Black was not
19:22someone who we all had high up super high up on our prospect boards but at the end of the day that
19:29is who the 49ers chose so if that is the direction they're heading and I know it makes it difficult because it
19:36is kind of an ambiguous situation if Jordan James does return from his injury has Kalon Black locked it down or do
19:44they go back to Jordan James so hopefully your drafts are not literally like next week and you have another week to
19:51kind of get some clarity on that but for right now I would try to handcuff it with uh Kalon Black it's
19:58and when it comes to obviously if you wanted to handcuff Bijan that one is very clear with Brian Robinson Isaiah Pacheco
20:05dealing with the injury for Gibbs makes it difficult so I wouldn't handcuff there I would not handcuff with Jonathan Taylor because
20:13their situation is a little bit more ambiguous because they took who was the rookie Seth McGowan I believe um so could
20:20be DJ Giddens could be the rookie getting a chance there as well they could operate as a committee it might not
20:27be a three down situation uh the other potential round one into clear handcuffs for me that I would grab would be
20:34Mike Washington with Ashton Gentry he looked fantastic in that first preseason game and then as always James Cook would be Ray
20:42Davis remember Ty Johnson is just more of a more of a uh change of pace back he would not be we've
20:49seen that in the rare instances that James Cook has gone down it's been rare um the person who got the vast
20:56majority of carries would have been Ray Davis so Ray Davis is the direct handcuff there so those are the ones that
21:04I would prioritize and then you could also um you said extend it around to we could look at Amari and Hampton
21:11and prioritize handcuffing with Kamani Vidal because obviously I do like uh Keaton Mitchell as change of pace but the direct traditional
21:18handcuff there definitely is Kamani Vidal and you get him at good value so that's another one that I would look at
21:25and I think that one's pretty critical as well considering that Hampton did deal with an injury last season that kept him
21:33out for a decent stretch there so maybe that's one that you would want to prioritize as well uh Panda of Love
21:40says last pick of my draft right now should I take Tank Dell with the last pick yep do it it's not
21:47even a question go ahead um it's possible that the Texans trade for a uh receiver I know that we have uh
21:54talked about the potential trade for Kayshawn Booty going to another team because I love Kayshawn Booty I do think that he
22:02showed very well last season highly reliable excellent catch rate with Drake May uh unfortunately he is just naturally buried in that
22:09depth chart because of the fact that he his role is AJ Brown's and he cannot surpass that Demario Douglas being in
22:16the slot gives him the advantage of being in uh the starting lineup compared to Kayshawn Booty even though Kayshawn Booty factually
22:24outperformed him last season unfortunately so uh we could potentially there's options that the Texans could go or they just make it
22:31work with Tank Dell and uh Jalen Knoll because Tank Dell um does play on the outside so theoretically um they could
22:38be set if they wanted to and I think they do still have Xavier Hutchinson on roster but Tank Dell is definitely
22:45one that we need to be looking at uh before I answer some more questions um just as a reminder this podcast
22:53is sponsored by player profiler so let's hear a little bit of a word from player profiler on the injury finder you
23:00may draft a great team in fantasy football but if those players get hurt you're toast so let's put my glasses on
23:07here and we're going to talk about injury probability because we have the data and now we have an app called the
23:14injury finder where you can look up if a player is more likely than another player to get hurt and miss significant
23:22time for your fantasy team this year running backs wide receivers quarterbacks tight ends we have all of their precise injury probabilities
23:29it is in the app store right now it is five bucks for the 2026 injury probabilities check it out it's injury
23:36finder.com app store google play five bucks you're welcome and I think I misspoke there a little bit I think I said
23:43sponsored by player profiler not sponsored by literally through player profiler through the player profiler network my bad on that one guys
23:51all right jumping back to the comments here um actually you know what let's do a mailbag question here real quick and
23:58then we will jump to the comments uh mailbag question here I'm pulling uh from my youtube channel john flowers is in
24:05your opinion uh is it in your opinion a green light to draft malik neighbors in the first or second round since
24:13he is looking good to full capacity in training camp first round I won't push it just because we have so many
24:20great running backs but I'm okay with pulling the trigger in the second round his ADP is rising up let's see what
24:27it is right now as of right now it is at pick 302 wide receiver 11 uh the players that would be
24:34ahead of him and I and here's why I don't think it'll jump much higher because the players ahead of him would
24:42be Nico Collins George Pickens AJ Brown Drake London so that's it's tough for him to push above that grouping just because
24:49obviously they don't have any health issues Nico Collins he could have pushed ahead but the Jaden Higgins injury will help him
24:56out a little bit there and then it's you know pushing ahead of George Pickens comparatively with the quarterback situation I don't
25:03know if that will happen but pushing into the second round I'm okay with that especially because again there's some you know
25:11a lot of quarterbacks with questionable situations at the very least or a lot of wide receivers with questionable quarterback situations at
25:18the very least we know that there is zero competition in terms of target share for malik neighbors uh and something also
25:25by the way and I haven't actually talked about this anywhere so this is just information that I'm sharing on this channel
25:33right here in this live so um exclusive Tara thought that she has not shared with anyone perhaps we should not actually
25:40fear Jackson Dart whatsoever as a quarterback specifically for malik neighbors because I was thinking about it and I'm like well my
25:47main concern with Jackson Dart is one his reckless running and whatnot uh unfortunately puts him in a greater risk for injury
25:54when we look at other players with I never negate running quarterbacks or push them back because of injury risk or anything
26:02like that but my problem here with Jackson Dart specifically is the reckless nature of his run but is it really a
26:09problem if Jackson Dart gets hurt because Russell Wilson is gone the backup would be Jameis I would love to see Jameis
26:16Winston to malik neighbors as a matter of fact Jackson Dart sick down from a fantasy perspective I would love to see
26:23my god remember what he did with Jerry Judy Jameis can literally elevate anyone and everyone connect him with malik neighbors it
26:31might be the greatest season that ever existed so honestly I don't know if I would push it into round one just
26:38because of the fact that there are way too many high-end running backs to invest in but round two yeah it's a
26:45full go for me I'm already regretting the fact that I did not invest in more malik neighbors um at a discount
26:53when he was going a lot lower yeah um back here to the comments Stephen King says ET into the moon Alvin
27:00Kamara's injury I can't push ET into the moon though still just because the one thing that I will say is that
27:07and this is why when anyone was talking about Alvin Kamara having any value and I'm like okay when I talk about
27:14Alvin Kamara and what he could do to taking away from Travis ETN it's just opportunities not actual belief that Alvin Kamara
27:22would be a contributor that we could rely on in any way shape or form because when you look at last season
27:29the receptions were down significantly now granted we had a two quarterback situation with Spencer Rattler at the beginning and Tyler Shuck
27:36at the end there but neither one was checking down at an egregious level oddly enough right you would think that at
27:43the very least Tyler Shuck would but Alvin Kamara wasn't exactly getting a ridiculous amount of receptions and he wasn't highly productive
27:51after the catch and when you think back to Kellen Moore offenses in general he has used running backs from a receiving
27:58perspective especially when those running backs were especially previously used as high end receiving options but he doesn't actually force it like
28:05it's not a we have to have an extremely high receiving back so I think Travis ETN's receiving work would not be
28:13to an egregious level so I don't know if he high end RB2 high end RB2 is probably more of the realistic
28:20floor for or realistic ceiling for him maybe low end RB1 I question how many goal line opportunities that we would have
28:27in terms of really sending him up into the stratosphere of production but I do feel a lot more comfortable with him
28:34now that Alvin Kamara is dealing with the injury and my voice continues to be weird because of the whole coughing thing
28:42so sorry guys but um not to the moon but just a little bit more comfortable with Alvin Kamara um still Bill
28:49has a really good question here what round to target Jordan Tyson it would have to be extremely extremely late now he
28:56has fallen right he's fallen to round eight late round eight is where he's fallen to pick 94 wide receiver 40 I
29:03assume it will continue to drop a little bit but that is where it gets into a range where it's guys guys
29:11that I like there's some guys that are available like Quentin Johnson Wondell Robinson um those are guys that I Michael Pittman
29:18um who was dealing with an injury issue but there are guys that could realistically have decent fantasy production and then you
29:25get into the rookies which I think are very interesting um of guys like Casey Concepcion and then it'll be Deshaun Stribling
29:33who was shot up in ADP Denzel Boston and whatnot my problem with targeting Jordan Tyson at his current ADP even as
29:40it continues to drop is that we have no guarantee at what timeline he would return and we're looking at a guy
29:47now granted preference would be that you would be able to draft him in a league where you have IR spots if
29:54you don't have IR spots I'm telling you don't mess with it you will need as we start to have injuries in
30:02season pile up you will need those at some point you don't want to be holding a rookie that is dealing with
30:09a recurring injury with an ambiguous timeline that will be on IR you don't want to deal with that right now if
30:16you have an IR spot and you want to make that investment and just hold him I totally understand that but you
30:23need to have your starting lineup um in terms of all the way through your flex right locked in in terms of
30:31draft picks before you attack a guy like Jordan Tyson so for me I would not feel comfortable drafting him until double
30:38digit rounds it would have to be round 10 or later but personally I'm going to bypass it because this is something
30:45that I think the Saints might be a little bit cautious with and realistically obviously they're ascending and they're trying to compete
30:52and they technically could win the NFC South anyone could you know at this point but they know they're not a Super
31:00Bowl winning team right now realistically so the push in this first round investment that you just made and risk him long
31:07term no I think they'll be a little bit cautious so be careful on that one for sure uh jumping back here
31:14to the chat let me try and catch up a little bit because we're super behind actually yeah let me rapid fire
31:22some stuff for you let me remove our graphic here and we'll do another mailbag and then we'll rapid fire because I
31:29am going to end the show right at 8 55 because I actually am hopping on Sirius XM right after this show
31:36so I need to be ready to go let's rapid fire through some questions here um bad sport s4b I have pick
31:43five and a 10 team PPR multi-flex two keeper my keepers are Amon Rao St.
31:48Brown and Kenneth Walker I don't know which way to swing um I don't like pick five I don't blame you on
31:56that one especially because once keepers and I so you are correct that it gets irritating after you get from those top
32:03four picks but when keepers are involved that makes it even worse because you could be looking at the situation where you're
32:10saying okay do I take a CD Lamb or something like that like am I taking a Justin Jefferson you're keeping Amon
32:17Rao and Kenneth Walker honestly even in full PPR I am okay with looking at what running you might be better off
32:25looking at running backs um what running backs are available in that spot I wonder you know obviously I don't know your
32:32keepers but I wonder if perhaps an Ashton Gentry is available with that spot a Chase Brown or something so I might
32:39lean towards running back if I were you with pick five but those mid-round picks are irritating for sure uh loving life
32:47says I'm moving up tight end Johnson and Vele in New Orleans thoughts so yes 100% I am moving up uh Juwan
32:54Johnson as well Juwan Johnson was my boy last season he pulled through especially in tight end premium uh not as many
33:01touchdowns as we would like but perhaps with Tyler Shuck more comfortable in the offense at a full season with Tyler Shuck
33:08this can be a little bit more productive um from a touchdown perspective but at very least volume was there he had
33:16what 100 targets last season 100 plus targets last season so um yeah as we talked about late round tight ends thinning
33:23out Juwan Johnson is actually one that now does creep into the territory uh being a viable option with Jordan Tyson out
33:30so good looking out on that one Vele I'm still kind of torn on um because we're we're hearing a lot of
33:37positive stuff about Bryce Bryce Lane um out of New Orleans the rookie and so I don't know no I like Vele
33:45in New Orleans and or not sorry Vele in Denver and hoping that he would progress forward and grow perhaps maybe switching
33:52teams mid-season he didn't really pick up in New Orleans the way that I would have hoped perhaps with a full offseason
33:59kill him more he can do it but my preference would be to bypass that and go with other other uh higher
34:07premium late round options right uh Black Lion says who is your QB2 after Josh Allen it is Lamar I don't dislike
34:14Drake May but he is more QB3 for me the rushing upside and Drake May rushes but not to the degree that
34:21we see from Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson so they separate themselves in my opinion from uh Drake May but he's right
34:28up there too but yeah it's definitely it's Lamar it's always Lamar from a Josh Allen and then Lamar uh Cruz and
34:36Shaker says is it worth keeping an eye on Najee Harris do you feel like he might have a shot at taking
34:43uh Scadaboo's spot no um my fear so we gotta remember he's also coming off a significant injury so keep that in
34:50mind with Najee that it might not be the same Najee that we saw before I'm not worried about him taking Scadaboo's
34:57spot what I am worried about again is kind of what I alluded to when we're talking earlier about Isaiah Likely I
35:05am worried about all of the indications that we are getting that this might be a nasty committee so that is my
35:12fear that they are adding in Najee Harris for more bodies to try and make this a deeper committee because they want
35:19to be run heavy they have admittedly wanted to be run heavy perhaps they are concerned about putting an aggressive level of
35:26volume on Camp Scadaboo earlier in the season or in the season in general and they want to do a rotational thing
35:34because the preseason was weird they had Scadaboo run a little bit Tracy run a little bit Singletary run a little bit
35:41and then they went back to Tracy and Scadaboo so it was like they were trying and experimenting it was a straight
35:48up committee right so that was a concern for me so I I'm not keeping an eye on Najee in no way
35:56shape or form do I think he would be a direct handcuff that would get a massive workload if Scadaboo went down
36:03but it probably is an indication that things are going a little weird the Giants maybe being committee land so it has
36:10made me skeptical of the round we are taking Camp Scadaboo and I'm gonna need a little bit of a discount on
36:17him for sure uh Amazon or Amazon Pancakes says hi Tara are you how concerned or should we be about Tyler Warren's
36:25injury concerned about Keenan Allen may taking or may take a lot of his receptions your thoughts so right now it is
36:32just right off the bat here it does not seem like a major issue for Tyler Warren I saw he did return
36:39to the sidelines so perhaps it's not significant but we do need to keep our eyes on it because groins are one
36:46of those lingering injuries that can bother you for a while so something we need to monitor as well it does make
36:54it I think I talked a little bit earlier it does make it so where I probably would feel a little bit
37:01more comfortable drafting him in the fifth um if he per chance would be able to drop a little bit because fourth
37:08round investment is a little aggressive right so we need to keep our eye on it the Keenan Allen injury I don't
37:16think is going to eat into his receptions um the Keenan Allen injury makes me very concerned about Alec Pierce unfortunately and
37:23it's also I'm not shocked that Indianapolis added in Keenan Allen because Indianapolis had a severe depth problem I'm not sure logically
37:30what they were thinking from a GM perspective because they traded away previously Adonai Mitchell and then you trade away Michael Pittman
37:37and you pay Alec Pierce to stay but I don't know how you didn't do that math and realize that you're now
37:45you're not too deep at wide receiver that doesn't really work right you let go of one too many I get it
37:52but you were trying to like I don't it was a money thing and with Pittman as well and you obviously were
37:59had 80 and trying to make that package work with the Jets but at the end of the day they ended up
38:06very scant at wide receiver and when we were staring down Nick Westbrook-Akine who did give us good times in uh Tennessee
38:14occasionally remember y'all remember that touchdown streak that he went on in Tennessee that was fun random but fun but at the
38:21end of the day that's probably not where you want to be relying on for your wide receiver too if Alec Pierce's
38:28injury is seriously going to keep him out for an extended period of time and it is looking I don't trust that
38:36he is going to be ready at the season I don't um that we're gonna have him week one and I have
38:43become more and more like Alec Pierce has gone and his ADP is dropping to where maybe it makes you feel enticed
38:50like oh yeah I'll take him at investment I was okay with it earlier but as we get closer I'm getting more
38:57and more concerned that we don't see him on the field he has fallen so far behind everybody else that had offseason
39:05surgery I see everybody else on the field even if you're even if you're on the pup I've seen your work I've
39:12seen your run so this is a concern with Alec Pierce because we've seen none of that so I think it's more
39:19of an indication that the Alec Pierce injury recovery surgery recovery has not gone as planned and it might be extended so
39:26no I'm still good with Tyler Warren as uh tight end four right because tight end five in theory being Tucker Craft
39:34who by the way did state that he was going to be eased in he expects to be ready for week one
39:41but he will be eased in in terms of workload he specifically said that that his workload would be ramped up and
39:48maybe they ramp up quickly um because it only took two games for them to ramp up Christian Watson last season off
39:56of the ACL but maybe they're being a little bit more cautious I don't know just keep that in mind as you're
40:03looking at Tyler Warren just as a side note or sorry as at keep that in mind as you're looking at Tucker
40:10Craft as a side note when we're sitting here talking tight ends it does make those guys like uh Harold Fannin Jr.
40:17Kyle Pitts Sam Laporte and whatnot maybe a little less concerning because they're healthy right now um so yes that's the Tyler
40:25Warren thing Cruz and Shaker says for fantasy leagues you join is there particular scoring settings that you look for that you
40:32are comfortable with I my preference I don't mind playing in you know two RB two wide receiver one flex but my
40:39preference is three wide receiver period I like leagues with three wide receiver and I like two flex spots I like deeper
40:46leagues that have extended rosters and a little bit longer benches so I think it raises the challenges I think that it
40:54makes um waiver wire a little bit more fun um because it's I would prefer not to have like what's a good
41:01example of like a lingering waiver wire guy like you know if you play in like a shallower league with a shallower
41:08rod which is no big issue right I play in 10 man leagues my family league is an eight man league but
41:16in that family league that's an eight man league we extend out to like three flex spots three wide receivers so that
41:23it's a longer starting lineup so that you're not going to the waiver wire and looking for DJ more right I don't
41:30want that situation so my preference is to extend starting lineups out so that waiver wire is more meaningful and it's not
41:37guys that should be rostered in the vast majority of leagues on waivers yeah that's my preference there um so I can
41:45draft all the wide receivers in the world Patrick says 10 team keeper league PPR where each keeper pick is one two
41:52three is one two three uh have Gibbs CD Ibuka Scott should I trade CD for Walker and Nico so my keepers
41:59are Gibbs Walker and Nico yes I like that yeah I'm 100% okay with that I would go that direction the first
42:06one that you said uh Marvin Tolbert how do you feel about Josh Downs is Warren's injury serious yeah for right now
42:14we don't know the severity with Warren hopefully crossing our fingers it's not bad um Josh Downs I was unfortunately um super
42:21high on him prior to the Keenan Allen signing so the Keenan Allen signing was a bummer it hampers it a little
42:28bit it doesn't make Josh Downs dead okay it doesn't make Josh Downs dead but it does does hamper the overall upside
42:35that he had like I had high hopes I had high hopes with the Alec Pierce injury and unfortunately it's just like
42:43a great Keenan Allen added but especially because of where Keenan Allen plays right it's got but Keenan Allen can line up
42:50outside don't think like Keenan Allen traditional LA chargers it's going to be big slot in the way that he attacked the
42:57usage for Lad McConkie early on like he can get varied usage so it's not it's not that deep but where Josh
43:05uh where Josh Downs was going I'm not okay with it now I was moving him up in rankings I was okay
43:12with reaching I'm not okay with it now we got to push him ADP right now he is at round eight I
43:19felt super comfortable with round eight I ideally would like to push it back like a tiny bit now but still he
43:26still should have a prominent role I wouldn't let Keenan Allen's injury pull you off significantly he's still draftable just don't reach
43:34let me try and rapid fire through a little I'm like super behind in comments I'm sorry guys okay let's go uh
43:41because we only have five minutes before I have to jump on Sirius XM with Josh Jacobs having a possible suspension do
43:48you think Marshawn Lloyd could be good yes so Marshawn Lloyd um definitely someone who I would want to target as a
43:55late round priority for handcuffs for sure I don't think that Jacobs is going to get suspended but regardless with Emmanuel Wilson
44:03gone um in everything that we've heard from a positivity perspective around Marshawn Lloyd if he stays healthy I do think he
44:10would have the direct handcuff there to Josh Jacobs uh just lift d1w says Rasheed Rasheed Shaheed excuse me Rasheed Shaheed and
44:17a 2028 fifth round pick for Kenneth Gainwell oh yes I would do it I love Rasheed Shaheed in the context of
44:25any other offense and perhaps with the change in offensive coordinator we can get more Rasheed this season but I mean honestly
44:32I was trying to justify it as a late round pick in a draft the other day I just couldn't do it
44:39because the usage on offense just wasn't steady enough so I new contract is wonderful and all perhaps that you but from
44:46a special teams focus he was so excellent it legitimately could be just for him to be occasionally used as needed on
44:54offense but really the priority in terms of the upside that he gives them on special teams so it's just not consistent
45:01enough for me I would make that trade I hate it because he's so young but is what it is uh Amazon
45:08Pancake says which top tight ends would you draft seems like there's so many question marks around them already I'm still good
45:15with Trey McBride I don't care about the Arizona offense being bad I don't care love Jacoby Reset um I still like
45:23Colston Loveland check good with that uh Brock Bowers obviously that's not even like a whatever so Brock Bowers clearly at number
45:30one uh Trey McBride at number two uh Colston Loveland I am good with and we do have the Luther Burden injury
45:37that's going on as well so I do like Colston Loveland a lot Tyler Warren is still my four right but we
45:45do have to monitor this injury situation and that would be my cutoff for elite tight ends and then as I was
45:52saying yeah Tucker Craft, Harold Fannin Jr., Kyle Pitts, Sam Laporta the only one that I'm concerned about um would be Tucker
45:59Craft in terms of the ramp up time period for sure uh let's go here let's keep going in the chat to
46:06try and catch up here uh Fatboy Sosa says if you take one wide out from Tennessee which one you would you
46:14prefer it's still Cardell Tate um I did not love what I saw out of Tennessee on the preseason game it was
46:21nasty like oh good god but Cardell Tate is still the I mean the starting receivers Cardell Tate Wanda Robinson um Calvin
46:28Ridley I do think Alec Ayamana will push out Calvin Ridley at some point so I have no interest in Calvin Ridley
46:35it's between Tate and Wanda Robinson Wanda should probably have the safer floor but higher upside and touchdown opportunities I do think
46:43still will be with Tate but I do like as well so I'm fine with targeting him not an issue uh let's
46:50see here oh thank you um this is not a uh fantasy question but uh D Zome says hi Tara you're awesome
46:57at this how did you get into fantasy football thank you I will keep it short and sweet maybe I'll talk about
47:05it more in a later one just because we're pressed on time but I have been playing fantasy football for I mean
47:12since I was in college I started off playing fantasy baseball because I really like analytics and baseball is super analytic um
47:19but um play I would say probably like a decade no more than that more than a decade and a half I'm
47:26gonna age myself here but I started playing in college um and started playing actually started off in a group with um
47:34a bunch of girls that I knew that were into football as well and then I joined um my brother and his
47:41friends um all play fantasy football so we started our home league that's my home league is with my brother it's super
47:48fun with my brother and his friends they're only like four years younger than me um so now they all have kids
47:55I have all kids and we're like in the same age range here but we've been in the same home league for
48:03oh my god so so long we transitioned it into a dynasty league after redrafts so um that's how I got into
48:10it I've been into it for a long long time here and then I started um podcasting like five ish years ago
48:17I believe um with uh dynasty vipers and my dear friend Matt Donnelly who asked me to join his podcast so yeah
48:25that's how I got into it then I started working with fantasy pros and a bunch of other places player profiler so
48:32yeah it's been a it's been a good little run here for sure uh dj steven says with jaden higgins injury would
48:39you consider tank dale yes absolutely 100% would steven king was chatting yeah make sure that I don't forget marshawn lloyd is
48:46a handcuff for sure um ella fumano says dart actually plays a lot like russ's style so I'm down yeah russ and
48:54neighbors was uh russ and neighbors was nice it was nice therefore well it was up therefore it was very short time
49:01period unfortunately because of the injury there um but I still would love to see james winston uh dj steven says have
49:08you ever done auction style league if so um how do you suggest focusing the majority of your salary cap I have
49:15but I have not done an auction this season specifically um but in my opinion I would allocate the vast majority depends
49:23on the amount that you have overall for your budget but I would allocate uh maybe 25% to acquire an elite running
49:30back for sure um with the depth that we have at rb 100% I want to acquire one of the top 10
49:37focus my budget there I think you can get a little bit more cost effective with wide receivers in my opinion um
49:44let's see here catching up here oh perfect um oh linda wolves I don't know the serious xn channel it's the fantasy
