Ben Johnson

PositiveRole3:00

Ben Johnson is entering his year two as Bears offensive coordinator and is expected to take a huge leap; the source notes that Johnson routinely got 4,500 passing yards and 30-35 passing touchdowns out of Jared Goff in Detroit, and while Goff is a more consistent down-to-down passer than Caleb Williams, there's no reason Caleb can't reach similar statistical output. However, the source has overall concerns that the fantasy community is conflating 'very good team' with 'very high statistical output team,' noting that Detroit's defenses allowed 28-37 points per game, whereas Chicago's defense likely won't be as porous.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeProjection3:00

Caleb Williams has significant play-to-play upside rivaling Patrick Mahomes but remains inconsistent in accuracy on a down-to-down basis, making a lot of bad plays and bad throws. The source projects him to fall just shy of 4,000 passing yards (by about 60 yards), raising concerns about whether the Bears offense can support all its receiving assets at their current ADP levels. This inconsistency particularly matters for downfield receivers like Roma Dunze who need accurate passes. Ben Johnson's year-two as offensive coordinator is expected to take a huge leap—Johnson routinely got 4,500 passing yards and 30-35 passing touchdowns out of Jared Goff in Detroit—but the source cautions that the fantasy community is conflating 'very good team' with 'very high statistical output team,' noting Detroit's defenses allowed 28-37 points per game whereas Chicago's defense likely won't be as porous.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue62:35

Brown is a no-brainer in the early second round and feels ahead of market. The source expects the same or better production given that nothing materially changed in the Bengals backfield and Brown has produced high-ceiling outcomes in back-to-back seasons. Brown is the clear workhorse with no meaningful competition (Samaja Perine only took scraps). The source projects he could lead the NFL in running back touchdowns this year given the Bengals' top-scoring offensive situation and the need to score 25+ points per game to win. Brown is also the Bengals' third leading target guy after Burrow's primary reads to Chase and T Higgins; he has consistently been the next option week-over-week and year-over-year, giving him dual-threat upside as both a rusher and receiver.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

NegativeRole39:00

Limited pass-catching ability and not a viable weekly starter unless Etienne is injured; foot injury status is a concern entering the season; 30% red zone rush rate and 40% rush rate inside the five-yard line (ranked 10th in NFL) creates red zone vulturing risk for Etienne's touchdown upside; joining a new team while already dealing with injury puts him behind Etienne in the depth chart.

Insight page

Christian Kirk

NegativeValue55:00

Signed to one-year, $6 million deal; ADP 216 (essentially undrafted); past his prime and unlikely to see significant playing time over Ricky Pearsall by season's end; limited upside given the presence of Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle as primary targets; viewed as a bench rotator in deep leagues who will likely be a quick drop to waivers once the season starts; the source is completely disinterested in Kirk despite the cheap price.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveRole48:00

Primary target earner in the 49ers red zone as a pass-catcher; likely to remain the top target earner in the red zone even with Mike Evans and George Kittle in the offense; volume is typically funneled between two players in this offense, with McCaffrey being one of them.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveProjection10:00

Colson Loveland is projected at a 20% target share and 28% red zone target share, placing him between historical tight end benchmarks (Hunter Henry and Trey McBride at 30%, Goddard Bowers and Tyler Warren at 27%). The source feels more confident in Loveland producing on a game-by-game basis and being consistently involved in the offense compared to Luther Burden. Loveland was drafted by Ben Johnson and is expected to be a core part of the offense. ADP 38.4.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

NegativeUsage4:00

DeAndre Swift is a core position player in the Bears offense drafted in the top 70 (ADP 53); however, the source notes that when watching the Bears last year, Swift and Kyle Monungai got carry after carry, suggesting the Bears may lean heavily on the run game. The source wonders if the Bears will try to get back to running the football more to take pressure off Caleb Williams, especially given offensive line injuries (Drew Dahlman's retirement, Ozzy Trapilo's season-ending injury). This could limit Swift's receiving upside. By the end of last year, owning both Swift and Monungai became a tough watch as they went drive-by-drive, with the outcome depending on who happened to be on the field in the red zone, suggesting a timeshare dynamic that limits ceiling for both backs.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeInjury48:00

Returning from torn Achilles with significant uncertainty around effectiveness and return timetable; sports physician Dr. Jesse Morris reviewed video footage of Kittle's running and timeline post-Achilles injury and had major concerns about whether Kittle can return to his previous form, leaving the source hesitant on Kittle for this year; will compete with Christian McCaffrey and Mike Evans for red zone targets in San Francisco offense; likely not the top red zone target earner in the offense upon return; at ADP 104, can be mixed and matched with other tight ends rather than requiring a premium draft investment; however, the source prefers to target top-eight tight ends and avoid paying up for elite production, instead seeking reliable week-to-week performers like Tyler Warren and Tucker Kraft.

Insight page

Kyle Monangai

NegativeUsage16:00

Kyle Monungai is a core offensive player in the Bears offense (ADP 93) who, along with DeAndre Swift, received carry after carry last year. The source notes that by the end of the year, owning both Swift and Monungai became a tough watch as they went drive-by-drive, with the outcome depending on who happened to be on the field in the red zone. This timeshare dynamic limits ceiling for both backs.

Insight page

LeQuint Allen

NegativeRole38:06

Limited role as backup running back in Jacksonville's two-man committee with Travis Etienne Jr.; will play in obvious passing situations but unlikely to see significant early-down work; projected to play approximately 15% of snaps; better pass-catcher than Chris Rodriguez but will not receive the screen passes and early-down targets that flow to Etienne.

Insight page

Luther Burden

NegativeRole5:00

Luther Burden was handpicked by Ben Johnson and fits the mold of an Amon-Ra St. Brown-type receiver in Johnson's offense; he is expected to get schemed-up touches around the line of scrimmage and could catch 15-20 screen passes this year alone, giving him a high floor with explosive ability after the catch. However, the source expresses concern about how high his actual week-to-week floor truly is in fantasy, noting that 2-3 targets per game converted to 24 yards doesn't move the needle without big plays or touchdowns. The source is more hesitant on Burden than on other Bears receivers. ADP 44.5.

Insight page

Mike Evans

PositiveProjection48:00

ADP 54 in a new situation with San Francisco; projected for approximately 10 touchdowns in a high-scoring Kyle Shanahan offense with Brock Purdy; despite age 32.9 and recent hamstring injuries, still competing at a top level when healthy; likely to be heavily involved in the red zone as a high-target-share receiver in a top-scoring offense; yards per reception and air yards dipped last year but he only played eight games.

Insight page

Ricky Pearsall

PositiveRole55:00

Strong per-route efficiency and good separator who fits Kyle Shanahan's creative scheme well; can be moved inside and outside the formation; moving into a role as one of Brock Purdy's favorite targets in the 49ers offense; Shanahan loves to move him around to get open in space and move over the middle of the field, contrasting with Evans who runs most routes on the outside; sits at ADP 105, which is a solid price for a receiver in a top-five to top-ten offense with injury concerns at Evans and Kittle; the source plans to have decent exposure at this cost and expects him to play a ton of snaps on the outside in two-receiver sets alongside Evans; potential to become featured if Mike Evans hits an age cliff.

Insight page

Samaje Perine

NegativeRole62:35

Perine took some work and scraps off the plate in the Bengals backfield last year but is not a meaningful threat to Chase Brown's workhorse role; the backfield has no additions, leaving Brown as the clear lead back.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

PositiveProjection40:00

Projected for approximately 862 rushing yards (200 carries at 4.3 yards per carry) plus 40.9 targets and receiving yards to exceed 1,000 yards from scrimmage; potential for 8-12 total touchdowns given red zone upside in a top-10 scoring offense; ranked top-five in screen targets among running backs last year, with early-down pass work likely to flow to him rather than LaQuint Allen or Chris Rodriguez.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

NegativeProjection3:00

Trevor Lawrence is in the MVP conversation alongside Caleb Williams, indicating the source views him as a potential breakout candidate in 2026. Jacksonville is identified as one of the most important teams to nail for fantasy football, with the source feeling confident the Jaguars will be a top-10 offense. However, Lawrence's nine rushing touchdowns last year create vulturing concern for Etienne's red zone touchdown upside; Lawrence is a large, durable quarterback (Josh Allen-sized) who can absorb hits without needing to scale back rushing attempts and will remain involved in goal-line situations, limiting Etienne's TD ceiling.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveValue60:47

The source is targeting Kraft as a reliable week-to-week tight end option instead of paying up for elite production. The source is more optimistic about Kraft's injury recovery given his young age (25 years old) compared to aging tight ends like George Kittle (33), who faces post-Achilles concerns and potential Mark Andrews-like decline into touchdown dependency.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveValue60:47

The source is targeting Warren as a reliable week-to-week tight end option instead of paying up for elite production. The source is more optimistic about Warren's injury recovery given his young age (25 years old) compared to aging tight ends like George Kittle (33), who faces post-Achilles concerns and potential Mark Andrews-like decline into touchdown dependency.

0:52I am back today to talk about murky wide receiver and tight end room situations, as well as some camp battles that
0:58we have coming up because training camp is right around the corner.
1:01I am joined by Nick from BDGE. You've probably seen him on YouTube.
1:05You've probably also seen him on Twitter, TikTok, creating a ton of content over there on his channels.
1:10Super excited to have you on, Nick. Thank you so much for joining us.
1:14Yeah, dude. This is going to be a good episode.
1:17This is one of those that we get in the trenches.
1:20I think a lot of people kind of stay away from the topic because it's very easy to get wrong.
1:25So we're going to talk through some of the better receiver rooms.
1:29We'll give some takes on it. Going to be a good show for sure.
1:32Yeah. And the rooms that we're going to talk about today are going to be the Chicago Bears.
1:37We're going to talk about their skill position, particularly the receiving assets in that room.
1:42We're also going to talk about the Jaguars, talk a little bit about their running back situation as well as the wide receivers.
1:48And then we'll talk a little bit about the 49ers as well.
1:51Just to kind of kick off today's show, you know, when you're looking, Nick, at, you know, unclear fantasy rooms, do you
1:58usually chase the cheapest player on in those rooms, especially in good offenses, just to ensure that you have some exposure?
2:03Or do you typically kind of shy away if it feels unclear and you're not, you know, extremely confident, you know, in
2:10the room and who you think is going to come out ahead?
2:13Yeah. Good question. I think there's a lot of a lot of a lot of people out there that do immediately go
2:19to like, I'll take the cheapest in the room.
2:22I don't know that that necessarily works out more often than not.
2:25It feels like it typically doesn't. And it's good to kind of shout out the instances in which it does.
2:31I'm definitely a little bit more risk averse in the rooms that I think I don't have a good grasp on.
2:36But if there are rooms where I feel there are three or four heads out there, three or four hands to put
2:43the ball into, but I feel, you know, good about one player above the other two or three.
2:48I have no problem diving in and being like, that's going to be a guy, especially when you talk about rooms like
2:54Jacksonville or rooms like Chicago, where these teams are supposed to be some of the premier offenses in the NFL.
2:59I think it's pretty not a sound strategy to go into the year, just fading entire offenses where if you're looking around
3:05the league and you have teams like, you know, like Arizona is one where, okay, I'm, I'm probably not looking at a prolific passing offense again this year.
3:13So it's like, do I really want to, you know, double down and triple down on a, on a group of, of
3:19players in an offense that I don't necessarily think are going to shine this year?
3:24Sure. Maybe I'll pick and pick and choose like one guy if he falls to me at value.
3:29But these are offenses that, you know, Caleb and Ben Johnson can take a huge leap into year, year three here.
3:34Does, does Caleb like buy for the MVP? I think Trevor Lawrence is in that conversation.
3:39Liam Cohen was awesome last year. So these are some of the brightest minds running these offenses and I want parts of
3:45them because they probably have plans for some of those guys in the receiver rooms and, and breakouts typically come from high
3:51volume offenses that win a lot of games and score a lot of points.
3:55Yeah. And, and, you know, you talked a little bit about the bears and their situation.
4:00And I just think as a whole, the bears and the, and the Jaguars feel like the most important to me, the
4:06most important teams to nail for fantasy football. I've talked about it on my Twitter account recently, as well as here at
4:12player profiler, but these teams, we know they're, they're very likely, at least I feel confident that Jaguars will be a top 10 offense bears.
4:19I could see inching up and getting into it, but we still have to hope that they take that next step.
4:25And also playing in Chicago, you don't always get the gaudy numbers passing wise just because of just where they're playing.
4:31But to me, there's so much talent in both of these rooms at, at pretty much all the core positions.
4:36It's, it's just important to get it right because with the Chicago bears, you have, you have Caleb, Caleb Williams, you have
4:42DeAndre Swift, you have the two wide receivers in burden and Rome, and you have Colson Loveland.
4:47All those guys are being drafted in early ADP in the top 70, right?
4:51So let's just talk about this room to start.
4:54And we'll talk a little bit about Roma Dunze to kick things off here.
4:57When it comes to Roma Dunze, he is the cheapest starter out of the wide receivers and the tight ends though.
5:03You know, last year he had the most targets out of anybody that is returning in this offense.
5:08You know, he had 90 through 12 games and he's got an ADP of 61 so far on underdog early ADP.
5:14And we always use underdog because, you know, people that are drafting, you could also use the high stakes ADP as well.
5:20And a lot of that is still pretty decently similar to underdog, but we're going to stick to underdog today.
5:26Do you think Rome is priced correctly behind Luther burden behind Colson Loveland?
5:30Do you think he's priced correctly or is he probably the wide receiver that you're, or the receiving asset that you're fading the most in this offense?
5:37I think he's probably priced correctly. I Rome's a very tough evaluation right now because he came out of such a highly
5:43tied a prospect, obviously as a top 10 draft capital, but then for all the reasons that you like Luther burden, it's
5:49almost like the opposite of why you would like Roma duns day because Luther burden was handpicked by Ben Johnson.
5:55Luther burden fits a little bit more of the mold of like an Amon Ross, St.
5:59Brown. Whereas while we're extremely excited about a Ben Johnson offense, we really haven't seen him do it to a high level
6:06with the receiver, like Roma duns day who plays that, like, you know, the, the exterior X role and gets a lot of shots downfield.
6:13And I will say, when we talk about like Chicago versus Jacksonville as overall offenses, there's still a little something about Chicago
6:19that makes me kind of like queasy when it comes to the passing game.
6:23Like, obviously they'd never had the 4,000 yard passer, but Caleb Williams, while he has as much upside on a play to
6:29play basis as anyone, he like rivals Patrick Mahomes here.
6:32He still is like very inconsistent in terms of accuracy on a down to down basis.
6:36He makes a lot of bad plays and makes a lot of bad throws.
6:40And that obviously matters when Rome is running shots downfield and he's only getting a certain amount of targets when he doesn't get the easy layups.
6:47Like you need those accurate passes downfield to be kind of dialed into where you are.
6:52And I think Rome gets a lot of the, a lot of the high value targets down the field, but because Caleb's
6:58a little bit more erratic as a, as a passer from an accuracy standpoint, it's hard for him to come by last
7:04year, Rome first four or five weeks, he was, you know, a top five wide receiver and it looked like, okay, the breakout is kind of upon us.
7:12And then he starts dealing with that foot, the foot fracture, the stress fracture in the foot.
7:16And now he's kind of still dealing with it.
7:19I don't really know what to read through in the situation there with, you know, him being like, this is just the
7:25new way that I have to deal with it.
7:28I, I think of Ben Johnson and I think of him being very creative.
7:32And I think he has the guys that he likes to use in his offense.
7:36And Luther burden feels like that guy. Colson Lovelin was a guy that he drafted here.
7:40He obviously wants to run the ball and establish that between two guys, we saw that in Detroit.
7:45We saw it in Chicago. We saw a lot of overlap from the guys that he has handpicked so far with what
7:51we saw in Detroit and Rome is kind of like the guy that's outside looking in right now.
7:56So I don't know. I don't know that I can buy back into Rome as this guy that can potentially be a
8:03top eight or top 10 receiver until we see more down to down consistency from Caleb Williams.
8:07And I, you know, I go back and forth because Ben Johnson turned Jared Goff into a dude who was, you know,
8:13maybe not turned him into, but like he did it with McVay.
8:17He did with Ben Johnson, but Ben Johnson was routinely getting 4,500 passing yards and 30 to 35 passing touchdowns out of Jared Goff.
8:24And I would say that Jared Goff is probably a more consistent down to down passer than Caleb Williams, but there's no
8:30reason you can't turn Caleb Williams into that sort of statistical player.
8:33Um, and when that's going to happen, you're going to have two or three guys that do eat in the offense.
8:39I am a little hesitant to Mark Rome as the guy that's going to be, you know, one of those two players.
8:45I think the other factor too is when you're playing in redraft leagues, like when you're really, really playing in serious redraft
8:51leagues, when you get down to weeks 14, 15, 16, 17, it's pretty hard to stomach dudes that are playing in Chicago.
8:57Cause that weather gets really fucking bad. And you're looking at like, Oh man, I got to play an iffy wide receiver three in a game.
9:05That's going to be 30 degrees with some possible hail.
9:07So I think from a more practical standpoint, it's easy.
9:10Rome's like a dynasty darling. People love talking about best ball and dynasty, but when you're playing the game of fantasy football,
9:16these are actual decisions and actual, you know, mindsets that you have when you're thinking through a Chicago bears offense like this
9:22Rome, you're playing in Chicago could be tough weather.
9:25You're getting tough downfield shots. Like those are probably more inaccurate balls where, you know, Luther burden who we'll talk about in
9:31a second, I'm sure is a great player around the line of scrimmage.
9:35Definitely feels like a dude who can end up catching 15 to 20 screen passes this year alone.
9:40And that feels like, you know, you get the high floor.
9:43He's explosive with the ball in his hand. So Rome, as I'm kind of talking myself through this right now, I'm clearly
9:49a little bit more hesitant on Rome than I am with everybody else.
9:53Yeah. And I get that. And the tough thing, and you mentioned it too, right?
9:57I mean, the connection with him and Caleb last year was sporadic.
10:00You know, you look at a guy who had 90 targets and he only pulled in 44.
10:05And with Roma duns, a, this is not a guy who was necessarily a player that, that struggled with really bad hands in college.
10:12So to speak, this isn't like something where he's known for, and it's like, is he going to get better?
10:17And this was a red flag that we're seeing pop up in the NFL.
10:21But when you just look at it, I mean, guy had 1,252 air yards last year, and he only had 44 receptions and obviously 90 targets.
10:28I mean, even if they could get on the same page just a little bit, it makes me a little bit excited.
10:35I understand though, that Luther is probably going to get the easier touches.
10:38And obviously those, those touches that are going to be schemed up for him, which the designated targets are sexy for a
10:44guy that has that big play ability. I guess my concern a little bit has to do with, with Colson Loveland and,
10:50and how much do they kind of eat into each other a little bit.
10:54And if I had to bet to, you know, I feel more confident in Loveland producing on a game by game basis
11:00and being consistently involved in the offense overburden. You know, I have it so far early on in my projections.
11:06I have Loveland at a 20% target share. And I have met a 28% red zone target share last year, Hunter Henry,
11:12Trey McBride were the only guys at the tight end position with a 30% target share.
11:17And yeah, Goddard Bowers, Tyler Warren at 27%. And then I'd have him at 20, you know, 28% like right in between those guys.
11:23And I think that's, that's decently fair. And then Roma Dunze, I have him as well at 28% on the red zone
11:30target share, just because like you said, he's going to get those high value targets.
11:34It's just really a matter for Rome of, are they going to be able to connect on those targets?
11:39Right. And so I can understand where burden just becomes that, that kind of guy where it's like, I hate to make the comparison.
11:46Like I'm on Ross St. Brown. Obviously it's easy parallel when you're pattern matching with Ben Johnson, but it's just, Hey, a
11:52guy that can get the ball in space and make plays.
11:55And that becomes appealing. I just worry from a game by game week by week with Luther burden, how high is the actual floor?
12:02I know we talked about the schemed up touches, but I still have a little bit of concerns on how high the
12:08floor is going to be for him. Now you talked about Chicago.
12:11We talk a little bit about this team. And when you look at this history for Ben Johnson as a play caller,
12:17and you look at his run and pass rate tendencies over the last five seasons, right?
12:22Last year, you know, in Chicago, 41.58% was their pass rate, which ranked 23rd in the NFL.
12:26And so I'm sorry, that was their rush rate, which ranked 23rd in the NFL.
12:31And I put out on Twitter, this team was, was pretty much trailing in almost 50 over 50% of their games.
12:37They were trailing. They didn't have the lead very consistently.
12:39And that defense is still going to be pretty bad, pretty bad.
12:43Um, so I have a little bit of concerns of just, do they try to get back to running the football to take some pressure off Caleb Williams?
12:51And then when you get down to the late part of the season, like you mentioned in Chicago, when it gets cold,
12:57when running the football is more advantageous to where defense is down that are coming into Chicago.
13:01Um, I do worry that we don't get those high ceiling games.
13:05And so I guess for me, uh, and I'd like to hear your take on it.
13:09I mean, how are we too bullish? Is the community too bullish on the offense, right?
13:14It's exciting. There's a lot of really cool players.
13:16There's going to be a lot of fun play design with Ben Johnson, but are, are we over inflating the offense when
13:22you just consider, you know, where we have some of these guys at ADP, right?
13:27You have Colson Loveland at 38.4. You have burden at 44.6, both those guys top 50.
13:31Then you have Rome right at 61. Uh, it just feels like how do they support all of these assets in the past game?
13:38When I have Caleb still projected not to go over 4,000 yards, he's like just shy by like 60 yards.
13:43Um, you're just going to have to have a really, really efficient offense.
13:47So do you have concerns, uh, about the offense or are you like some who just think it's going to be fireworks
13:53this year and, and they're going to take that next step.
13:56And Caleb's going to move forward. And the young guys are going to just progress in year two.
14:01Yeah. I, to answer your question holistically. Yeah. I have concerns about the offense overall from like a statistic standpoint.
14:07I think, uh, the fantasy community has a tough time separating.
14:10Like this is going to be a very good team from, this is going to be a very high statistical output type of team.
14:17And I could see that being the Delta between the Chicago bears in 2026 and what their fantasy outlook ends up being,
14:23because I did talk about Ben Johnson in Detroit, putting up those crazy statistical seasons, Detroit for a few of those years
14:29had some of the worst defenses every year by week seven, half of their defensive backfield, half of their linebackers, their defensive line was a shredded with injury.
14:37So they were a team that was allowing 28, 30, 37 points per game.
14:41Whereas you mentioned like Chicago's defense was not good last year and they probably won't be great this year, but I don't
14:47think they're going to be a team that's allowing 30, 35 points a game to the point where Caleb's going to need
14:53to throw the ball 35 to 40 times a game where I would, where I'm, where I'm most interested in seeing the
14:59Chicago bears on offense is actually their offensive line, because that obviously turned into like such an asset for them last year, right?
15:05They went out and signed all the interior linemen, Joe Tooney and Drew Dahlman and Jonah Jackson.
15:10And now they're going into the year. Drew Dahlman just randomly kind of retired.
15:14He was an awesome run blocking center for them.
15:17Ozzy Trapilo is going to be likely out for the entire season.
15:20So they're down two of their plus offensive linemen starters going into the year.
15:24And that's going to dictate a little bit of that push that they get with the running game.
15:29So I, I wonder if, you know, they get the running backs a little bit more involved in the screen game, get
15:35out of his hands a little bit more quickly, the way that they did with Jameer Gibbs and even David Montgomery at their time in Detroit.
15:42So I don't know. I go back and forth overall, if I had to lean one way or another, I would lean
15:4851 in favor of, yes, this offense is probably a little bit overhyped from a fantasy perspective.
15:53I like Caleb. He's a very good rusher and I could see a world where they turn into a very efficient offense.
15:59And like Rome does score 10 touchdowns. Like that's, I think the upside cases, he ends up having a very, very like
16:05high touchdown rate season and walks away with 10, 11, maybe even 12 of those.
16:10And most of them will go to him in Loveland.
16:12When I think back to watching the bears last year, what I remember most is Swift and Manungai getting carry after carry after carry.
16:19And a lot of trying to get DJ more force fed the ball around the line of scrimmage.
16:24And like old Amita Zaccheaus being forced into the lineup before Luther burden.
16:28So both of those guys kind of added the picture.
16:31And I do think Luther burden adds a little bit of an element, but I do agree.
16:35Like, yeah, it's, it's almost a moot point where it's like, Oh, he's going to have a high floor because he gets a lot of design targets.
16:43And that's something I just said, but like, okay, two, two, three targets a game.
16:47He turns it into 24 yards, like cool floor.
16:50Like that doesn't really do much for you in fantasy.
16:52If you're not breaking a big player, scoring a touchdown that week either.
16:56So overall, yes, I have concerns. I don't know if there's any guy in this offense that I'm actually actively reaching for.
17:02They're not an avoid for me because I think you just have to acknowledge the upside case of Ben Johnson, year two,
17:08Caleb Williams, year three, you know, like things happen, crazy things happen in fantasy.
17:12So keep that within the range of outcomes. In my opinion.
17:15Otherwise these are guys that if they fall to me, if you picks past their ADP, I'm fine.
17:20Scooping them up on my team. Probably not going ahead of my skis to grab Loveland around early burden around early, where
17:26I know a lot of people in the industry are, you know, those are guys that are like very top of mind
17:33for people that, that they want to leave their drafts with.
17:36Yeah. I think that's perfectly said to kind of, kind of wrap things up.
17:40I'm going to ask you one more thing about this offense and then we'll move on.
17:44We'll take a quick break and move on to the next two.
17:47If you had to take one player, right? Let's just go over the ADPs for the audience and for the audio side as well.
17:54If you had to take one player at ADP, who would you take?
17:58You have Colson Loveland. Now, assuming this is PPR, just a regular managed redraft lead, not best ball, nothing like that.
18:04No tight end premiums. Colson Loveland at 38.4 ADP Luther burden at 44.5.
18:07Deandre Swift at 53 Roma. Dunes at 61. Caleb Williams at 69.
18:11Kyle Monunga at 93. Those are all the important players on this offense.
18:14We assume unless somebody comes out of nowhere, but I don't expect that to happen out of those guys.
18:19Who would you want to spend on? I know who I want to spend on if I had to get, and I've
18:26really wanted exposure, but who kind of comes to your mind that you'd, you'd want to take a stab on at their cost in this offense?
18:33Yeah, I think that the one I'm most confident in actually, you know, producing and being a really good fantasy player for
18:39you this year is appropriately priced as the number one guy.
18:42And that would be Loveland. My problem with Loveland, and he won't be the answer to my question here, is that I
18:48think the middling group of tight ends is actually so strong this year.
18:52And I know people think like Loveland's going to be rock powers, McBride.
18:56Maybe I don't know if they're going to be past heavy enough in order to really like make that come to fruition.
19:02But even like Tucker craft, a guy dealing with ACL love Tucker craft.
19:05Tyler Warren was awesome last year. Even Laporta is getting kind of written off here.
19:09And I like Laporta as a mid mid tier guy to the point where I don't see the Delta there.
19:15So when I'm looking at the group, it's probably not going to be burdened for me.
19:20I liked having Swift, but I will say by the end of the year, as a guy who in like my main
19:26league own both Swift and Kyle Manung guy, it became a tough watch to see them.
19:30They were just going drive by drive by drive.
19:33And that became a point of like, who just happens to be on the field when they get inside the five yard
19:39line, that's, who's going to get the touchdown. It wasn't like, I prefer Swift or I prefer Manung guy on the goal line.
19:45Ben Johnson was very much again, the exact same way he played in Detroit.
19:49Gibbs is going to score a ton. Montgomery is going to score a ton.
19:53So I think, you know, talking through it, I'd likely end up on the Rome train.
19:58Yeah. We, we go back to what you brought up.
20:00Yeah. Yeah. We go back to what you brought up early on where it's like, well, you just take the cheapest guy.
20:06I guess so here in this situation, but if I do have a guy that I'm like going to keep up for,
20:13which I think, you know, we'll talk about in Jacksonville in a second.
20:16I will go above and beyond for it, but Rome's a guy where I'm not overly confident in, in, in who I want to strike at.
20:23So I think I would take him. Okay. Beautiful.
20:26And we're going to take a quick break. We're going to talk about the draft kit and then we'll be right back.
20:32You know, the original player profile was just my podcasting tool that I made available to the public so that you could
20:38follow along and look up the stats while I'm looking them up and talking about them on the show.
20:44And then you're asking, well, I want to dominate my drafts.
20:47I want to know what you know about Josh Downs and Trey Harris and Jalen Coker.
20:51So that's why we have the world famous draft kit.
20:54The key team insights, the player breakdowns and the key stats that you need to know, like vacated targets, vacated touches, all
21:00there available to you with cheat sheets for every format and interactive drafting.
21:04As you draft, the players fly off the board.
21:06And this year for the first time, I am publishing my personal draft cheat sheet during draft season, as well as Bradley's.
21:12And when you sign up for the all in package, you get $25 off with code podfather, code podfather, $25 off.
21:18The world famous draft kit is now live. It is ready.
21:21It is complete. So go grab it. And dominate your drafts.
21:24This episode is brought to you by Troll Co.
21:27Clothing. And oh, is this one worth it? You know, more than a few people have asked me about Troll Co.
21:33So let me actually tell you about it. I wear their hats, their sweatshirts.
21:37I have for a while now. The quality on both is legitimately good.
21:40The hats hold their shape. The sweatshirts are the kind of heavy that you actually want, not the thin stuff that pills after three washes.
21:47I just like them. The reason I connected with the brand in the first place is the story behind it.
21:53You know, the phrase dirty hands, clean money, it's a blue collar saying that has been around forever.
21:58It's the idea that honest, hard, physical work is how you build a good life.
22:02Troll Co. was started by two guys who came out of the oil patch, who could not find any clothing that represented people like them.
22:09So they built it themselves. That is the kind of origin story I respect.
22:13And the product truly backs it up. If you want to check them out, go to troll Co.com slash profiler.
22:19That is T R O L L C O.com slash profiler and use code profiler 25 for 25% off your first order.
22:25We are back here on player profiler talking about murky fantasy rooms and exciting camp battles for two weeks, at least three
22:31exciting offenses going into the 2026 season. But, you know, we still have a lot of question marks on who is going
22:37to be the guys to ensure that we get things right.
22:40So we're talking through it here with Nick from B D G E.
22:44And we're going to move over to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
22:46Jaguars are very interesting, right? You have you, I mean, when we just think about what happened last year with the Jacksonville
22:53Jaguars, I mean, you had Travis Hunter who was drafted in the top five.
22:57Obviously it was not solely to be a wide receiver.
22:59It was, you know, to play both sides, right?
23:02Looked like there was a possibility. Travis Hunter could start getting an increased role.
23:06BTJ was going through his struggles, right? And then obviously Hunter goes down and gets the injury.
23:10They've trade for Jacoby Myers. They wind up extending Jacoby Myers and the Parker Washington comes out of nowhere and ends up
23:17being the most dominant guy in the offense for the final half of the season.
23:21So a lot of question marks about this offense here as well.
23:24And I got to be honest, this offense for me, Nick is more attractive than the Chicago bears offense.
23:29I'm expecting more points in this offense. I'm expecting more efficiency in this offense.
23:33I feel like I trust the offense to be better.
23:36It's just really a matter of figuring out who is going to be the guy in this offense.
23:41Let's just start off with Brian Thomas Jr. For a second here.
23:45Do you think Brian Thomas Jr. Is the clearest fantasy bet right now?
23:48Obviously had a down sophomore season last year, dealt with some injuries, dealt with some personal stuff coming into the year, but
23:54had an amazing rookie season, but let a lot of fantasy managers down.
23:58And sometimes when that happens, people say, I'm never drafting that guy again.
24:02And it's kind of reflected in the ADP a little bit early drafting.
24:05This is a very high draft and player, you know, last year in fantasy drafts, and now he's going at 65.8, but
24:11he is the number one wide receiver in this offense off the board in early ADP.
24:16So what do you say about Brian Thomas Jr.?
24:18Is he the guy that you want to own in this offense?
24:22And do you think a bounce back is in the cards for him?
24:25No, he's not the guy I want in this offense.
24:28Wouldn't be my top choice of a weapon if I'm drafting receivers from this room.
24:32I agree with you from a more holistic conversation.
24:35The Jacksonville offense is actually a lot more intriguing to me than the Chicago offense, because what they did last year, I
24:41thought was extremely high upside in the first year with Liam Cohen.
24:44And I thought he turned something on with Trevor.
24:47Ultimately, when I think of like Brian Thomas Jr., I think he's relatively like, I think he's going to be a low
24:53volume receiver that on a, you know, a week to week basis is incredibly difficult to trust.
24:58He's also running routes where I don't think Trevor Lawrence likes to throw the ball because this is, you know, from a
25:04very, very just like basic football take. I think Trevor Lawrence dealt with for the first few years in his career, so
25:10many drops from his receivers and so many untimely drops that he had a tough time, like trusting a lot of the receivers that he worked with.
25:18And it really like melted his brain a little bit.
25:20And it started to happen to Brian Thomas Jr.
25:23Last year. And as soon as Jacoby Myers came over and he was vacuuming up everything, he didn't drop a ball.
25:29Parker Washington started acting real tough over the middle of the field.
25:32Like you can tell that Trevor Lawrence only wanted to throw to those two guys over and over and over again.
25:38And I think he started to build his confidence because he was now like, okay, I've got receivers that I can trust to catch the ball.
25:45And I think they'll scheme up some plays for Brian Thomas Jr.
25:49to take shots downfield. But realistically we're through a few, we're through a couple of years now.
25:53And we've actually never really seen Brian Thomas Jr.
25:56and Trevor Lawrence hit it off correctly. And like, as much as fantasy players don't want to talk about it and don't
26:02like, it matters who your quarterback is when you're selecting a fantasy wide receiver in the same way that, you know, Trey McBride was good.
26:09And then he became elite when Jacoby Brissett was under center and Michael Wilson was mad.
26:13And then he became elite. Like it does take a new quarterback and a guy that's willing to throw you the ball
26:20a little bit more or less for things to change in your view.
26:23And clearly Brian Thomas Jr. was eating a lot off of Mac Jones's plate.
26:27And even if you look at his target numbers throughout the last two years or the reception numbers, he very, very rarely
26:33has any indication of a high volume game when Trevor Lawrence is under center there.
26:37Um, I don't think Liam Cohen particularly loves Brian Thomas Jr.
26:40Either. There were the, you know, the trade rumors and there was just a lot of, I think signs saying like, okay, we got Jacoby Myers.
26:48He became in, he came in, got, became the alpha.
26:51We're immediately extending him. Parker Washington. I think, uh, we'll get extended before this season starts as well.
26:56And I think you're going to look at two other receivers that have now came into this room, outproduced Brian Thomas Jr.
27:02Over the last year or so, and both got extensions.
27:05Like, I think that speaks enough that Brian Thomas Jr.
27:07To me again, like if, if he drops in drafts and he ends up on my team, whatever, but I am definitely
27:13not one of those people that it's going to be like, remember what he was here.
27:18That's the ceiling that I think he can have.
27:20I don't think that's realistic. And I don't think that's going to happen here.
27:24Yeah. I I'm so I'm kind of with you.
27:27And if I'm, if I'm starting to smell where you're cooking a little bit, it seems like you might be a Parker Washington guy.
27:34I do want to get to Parker Washington in a second, uh, but just closing out or, or adding some thoughts to
27:40BTJ and just kind of where I have him right now.
27:43So when you just look at Brian Thomas Jr.
27:45Last year, 52.7% catch rating. And obviously you noted Nick, like this was a player that really couldn't be trusted, uh, from a Trevor Lawrence standpoint, right?
27:53He wasn't a guy that could be relied on to make the tough catches.
27:57And obviously Parker Washington came up and showed that he could be that guy.
28:01Um, prior to that, his rookie season, he had a 65.4% catch rate.
28:04So I have Brian Thomas Jr. At like a 63% catch rate.
28:08I think he gets a little bit better this year with the drops that we saw last year.
28:13Um, but from a target share standpoint, I still haven't bumped down.
28:16Um, last year he had a 19.3% target share.
28:19I have met an 18.5, um, and red zone target share sitting at 25%.
28:22These are obviously early things can change a little bit, but that's just my early look on this offense.
28:28I have him set up though for 108 targets, which would be more than last season, but still less than his rookie season.
28:34He had 133 in his rookie season. He had 91 last year.
28:38I think he goes up just a little bit in terms of his total targets this year.
28:42Um, but you also factor in, he only played 14 games last year, right?
28:46So that's also part of the factoring in of, if you look at and paste that out, he's actually projected to have
28:52the lowest target share for me and the lowest on a 17 game sample size of his career this year for me.
28:58Um, I have him projected far early on at about 12.1 fantasy points per game, which feels about right so far for me.
29:05Uh, but shifting over to Parker Washington, cause you noted it.
29:08And Parker Washington is a player that I've wanted a ton of exposure.
29:12And I'm so happy that you mentioned the contract extension because this almost feels it's very funny how fantasy managers react to the news, right?
29:19Uh, we talk about Parker Washington and the possibility of a contract extension.
29:22It's been rumored. It's been talked about. It realistically feels like it's going to get done.
29:27It's really just a matter of when not if, right.
29:29And unless they're extremely disrespectful and he feels like he's getting confirmation from his agent that he can go get more if
29:36he sits and he feels confident enough. So not sits out, but sits out on signing an extension, not sits out on playing.
29:42Then maybe it doesn't get done, but I expect it to be done.
29:46All reports from insiders over there, uh, makes it sound like it's getting pretty close, but it's funny how it works, right?
29:52Because right now he's being drafted behind Brian Thomas jr.
29:55But I would put money on it that when that extension does happen this off season, I would bet that those two
30:01guys flip an ADP and Parker Washington ends up being the guy that's drafted a highest out of the wide receivers in this room.
30:07And to your, to your part, a point, I mean, they extended Jacoby Myers and now they're going to extend Parker Washington.
30:14BTJ. Wasn't a guy that they drafted. I don't think they're going to sell him for penny is on the dollar.
30:19Like some believed with this whole trade talk, uh, so to speak, but they did obviously not draft this guy.
30:25So, um, that's a lot of kind of moving around talking about the, the sole point here of Parker Washington is Parker
30:31Washington, the guy in your opinion that you want to own in this offense, or is it Travis Hunter?
30:36Who we really haven't talked about. Could he maybe be an outlier and come out of nowhere at a really, really cheap
30:43cost where he's going at pick one 73 right now in early drafts, uh, or is it Parker Washington for you?
30:48Yeah. I mean, Travis Hunter to me is like, uh, in my mind, he's, he's borderline just like a nothing burger right now.
30:55Like I am, I'm not drafting him like, okay, if it's like the 16th round and he's kind of sitting there, I'm like, cool.
31:02But in my mind, the Jacksonville Jaguars paid a lot of money in capital, uh, a lot of, you know, a lot
31:08of opportunity costs to go get them. And I think they need to make sure that they have a superstar on one side of the ball.
31:15It doesn't really make sense given they're like, they have three very good receivers that they can go line up.
31:21There's no reason to force Travis Hunter in there, especially when he could be a lockdown corner on the other side of things.
31:27So I think, I just think from a common sense standpoint, it makes a ton of sense to just have him playing
31:33very high volume at cornerback using him, you know, sporadically on the wide receiver, uh, in the wide receiver room, maybe, uh,
31:39you know, 10, 15, 20 snaps a game, but nothing that really, I think pours over into like being a full-time fantasy guy.
31:46Parker Washington, definitely the guy for me. He was a dude coming out that I remember watching and being very, very high on him, uh, through Penn state.
31:54And I was like, he, he reminds me a little bit of Debo Samuel, the way he's like very tough over the
32:00middle, runs a little bit like a running back when he gets the ball in his hands, just a very different symbol,
32:06uh, stylistic player that I think fits really well with Trevor Lawrence is being really, really tough over the middle and someone that he could trust.
32:13And like Jacksonville had three games or three receiver games last year in which a guy went over a hundred yards and all of them were Parker Washington.
32:21Like I just saw you, you kind of saw the breakout over the last quarter of the season and the buzz out
32:27of camp is just so buzzy about Parker Washington, whether it's the extension, whether it's like how good he looks, my one
32:33minor hesitation is like when they go into two wide receiver sets, is he an outside guy?
32:38I don't know that that feels like it might be a little bit of a stretch, but I do think Liam Cohen's a dude who's pretty progressive.
32:46I could see a ton of three wide receiver sets here, even though they are drafting a bunch of tight ends.
32:51So that could go out the door, but I think they love Parker Washington.
32:55I think this is an offense where Liam Cohen understands how to get the ball in his best playmakers hands.
33:01And that's, you know, a dude like Parker Washington.
33:03So, um, I think BDJ will play a lot on the outside.
33:07Like you said, in my mind, I don't do projections, but he seems like a guy who will weekly get four to six targets probably.
33:14And with BDJ, he's a dude because those targets, a lot of them will come downfield.
33:18Like fantasy football is such a small sample size, right?
33:21It's 17 games. So if two or three of those targets end up being a few inches too far or a few
33:27inches too short changes, the projection of half the season or a full season.
33:31And we've seen that before. It's almost like Christian Watson happened to have a great sample size over the second half of last year.
33:38Whereas like, we did have almost two years in between his rookie year and last year where Watson and Jordan love, like couldn't connect.
33:44They were like so close to connecting a hundred times.
33:47We saw it with love and Matthew golden last year.
33:50And the whole, you know, the whole opinion you have of a specific player can change so quickly just by a couple inches of a, of a target.
33:58And I think that's kind of the, uh, variants you're buying into when you're buying a guy like Brian Thomas jr, where
34:04I think Parker Washington, unlike Jacoby Myers can really, really get the ball in his hands all over the field, but then
34:10make plays after the catch as well. And that's what led him to having these high receiving yard games.
34:15So I love the role he's going to play.
34:18Love the offensive coordinator. I think Trevor Lawrence is really comfortable with them.
34:22Like you said, he's going to get the contract extension.
34:24Fantasy players are going to double count that towards his ADP and then he'll probably rise up.
34:29But right now, yeah, if all else equal, I got to take anyone in that receiver room.
34:34it's Parker straight up for me for sure. Yeah.
34:36And, and, and the double counting is always funny how it goes.
34:40Right. I mean, we knew AJ Brown was going to get traded.
34:43Right. And then what happens? His ADP goes up in, in best ball, right?
34:47Like, but you were able to get him in the third round, um, you know, for a decent amount of time early on this off season.
34:54Um, so it's funny how things work like that.
34:57And when it comes to Parker Washington, it just feels like when you talk about a guy that a quarterback can trust,
35:03he just came off as a player that Trevor Lawrence could trust.
35:06Right. He was there when, you know, Trevor needed a quick outlet.
35:10Uh, and he just, the connection, when you talk about it, you know, we constantly talk about the connection with Trevor and BTJ, not, not being in sync.
35:17It's almost felt like the Roman Caleb Williams thing where you were forcing it.
35:21Cause we love the talents of both players and they're still not getting on the same page.
35:26And then Parker Washington comes in and he just does what you want him to do.
35:31He catches the tough passes and he just makes plays.
35:33And when you mentioned the whole outside thing too, and I'm going to try to pull the stat, uh, you know, before
35:39we're done here and I'll circle back to it, but I'm pretty sure Parker Washington did play outside a decent amount, not,
35:46not a, not a ton, but he has shown that he can play outside.
35:50So I'm not overly concerned about it either. Um, I just wanted to get that out there.
35:54But when I look at this offense, um, you know, from a target share standpoint, um, you look at Liam Cohen and
36:00what he's done with the wide receiver position and consistently, you know, at least from his time at the box to now
36:07to the Jaguars, uh, wide receivers typically have like close to a 60 to 66% target share, which is actually pretty high.
36:13Uh, when you look at just league average overall, um, in this room where I stand with the target share at the
36:19wide receiver position, I have BTJ at 18.5 at Parker Washington at 21%.
36:22Um, I have Jacoby Myers at 17%. I have Brenton strange sitting at 15%.
36:26Um, and then I have Travis Hunter sitting at 10%.
36:29Um, Hunter's obviously the wild card here. He feels like a player that's going to really eat at people's targets and be
36:35more of a, more of just an annoyance. Um, but I don't know, he's never going to, to me, be a guy
36:41that's going to be on the field consistently enough where you're going to be able to start him unless they have maybe
36:48two guys fall, uh, due to injury and they, and they really need to throw somebody else in there.
36:53Um, um, I just don't see it. Now, I do want to shift over to the running backs and then we'll go
36:59ahead and touch on the last team here. Uh, Bashal Tootin, the most expensive player in this offense so far, early drafting
37:05has him at 57.6 at the ADP right now.
37:08And, uh, Bashal Tootin's a very interesting player, right?
37:10You know, scored a decent amount of touchdowns last year, obviously with second fiddle though, behind Travis Etienne who had a, a major, major bounce back here.
37:18Um, I'm just going to start it off just with Tootin in general.
37:21How bullish are you on Tootin? Do you think that that's a pretty fair price for where Tootin is going?
37:27And do you see this as Tootin's job to lose?
37:30Or do you see this as being somewhat of a committee in Jacksonville?
37:33I would imagine it's going to be a committee in Jacksonville in some capacity.
37:37I do like Tootin. Tootin wasn't a guy I was like, you know, uh, fanboying last year by any means.
37:43I thought he was a good prospect, not an elite prospect at all.
37:47Um, but I'm much more in on him this year.
37:49If you look at the situation, just from like a bird's eye view, you want people in this running back room.
37:55Last year, they scored 20 touchdowns as a combination between Etienne and Tootin.
37:59And that excludes Trevor Lawrence's nine rushing touchdowns. So on the ground, like these runners and catchers out of the backfield score a ton of touchdowns.
38:06This is a team with a high win total.
38:09They're expected to win 10 or 11 games after, you know, a huge year last year.
38:13So I think it's more of a two man committee.
38:16I know a lot of people will throw if they don't like Tootin, you'll throw LaQuint Allen into the mix, which I get it.
38:23Like he'll take a, he'll take some targets, obviously like he'll play in very, very obvious passing situations, I'm sure.
38:28But again, this is not a team like Arizona last year where they're going to be trailing the entire season.
38:34They're projected to be an 11 win team. So even in the games where they do end up losing, they're not going
38:40to be in full catch-up mode, right? They're a good defense.
38:43They're a good offense. They're not going to be down by 14, 17 points where it's like, okay, it's LaQuint Allen for the entire second half.
38:50He'll have a very, very specific role. I think in the offense where he's playing 15% of the snaps with Tootin, like
38:56Rodriguez to me is kind of not a guy.
38:59He's just a dude that you can give empty carries to.
39:02Tootin to me is like giving, you know, he's young, he's extremely explosive.
39:06He can play on all three downs in my opinion.
39:08So I think he has a variety of different ways where he can really get home in this offense.
39:14I think screen passes to the running back. I believe ETN ranked top five in the NFL last year among running backs in just terms of screen targets.
39:22And those are early down targets. So you could say LaQuint Allen, but those are, those are dudes who are playing on
39:28the early downs and those aren't going to Chris Rodriguez.
39:30He's not a pass catcher. So I think a lot of those will go to Tootin.
39:35I think Tootin showed really well within the 10 yard line.
39:38And I think Liam Cohen's very creative down there.
39:41Like even back in Tampa Bay where he loved getting that screen game going with Bucky Irving.
39:45He loved getting those, those backfield mates kind of going together.
39:48And I think a lot of that work early down targets will go to Tootin out of the backfield.
39:54And it's, it's not a very typical offense. I don't think where you're just ramming it up the middle with your starting running back.
40:00They do a lot of outside stuff. They, they get the ball to the running backs in space, even when they're in
40:06the 10 yard line, even when they're inside the five yard line, they want their guys to hit the tackle.
40:12They want them to be speedy. So I'm very optimistic about Tootin.
40:15Do I love them as a fifth round guy?
40:18Maybe a little bit, maybe a little bit spicy based on the committee.
40:22That's probably going to happen early on in the year.
40:24But like, I think, I think Tootin has incredible upside.
40:27So he's, he's a dude where if I'm in a lot of leagues, like I definitely want my share of him.
40:33Okay. Yeah. This, this is probably something one where we will probably disagree slightly, which is good.
40:38Right. I mean, I don't like having guests on that, that I completely agree with.
40:42Anyway, it's not really fun to do it like that, but it's not necessarily that I disagree that Tootin's not going to be involved.
40:49I guess I'm a little bit behind on, on just where the market is on him.
40:53I know you would, I mean, it sounds like you're not in love with the cost either, but you seem like you really in on the players.
41:01So you're, you're willing to probably swallow that price a little bit, even if it feels like it's a little too expensive,
41:07just given, you know, the environment or, or just maybe what he's done so far.
41:11When I look though at this offense, I, I, I see it being more closer to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers than I do.
41:17What we saw last year in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Travis ETN had 260 rushing attempts.
41:21I don't think Tootin's going to have that many.
41:24I still think Tootin's going to have 47% rush share, which is totally, totally fine.
41:28I mean, that puts him at 200 rushing attempts.
41:31I also have him close to about, I think I have him at about four, four and a half, 4.3 yards per carry.
41:37So he's sitting at about 862. And then when you add his receiving yards, he's going to go over, you know, a thousand yards all purpose, just combined.
41:45I have him sitting at about 40.9 targets, which to me feels pretty fair.
41:49Just given, you know, in college, he sat somewhere, I think around like 27, 24, something like that each season.
41:54And then, and then obviously ETN was just a really good pass catcher.
41:58And he was a little guy. Like you said, he got a lot of the screen passes because he was there on the early downs.
42:05I guess. To, to throw somewhat of cold water, at least to share my concern a little bit when it comes to,
42:11you know, facial Tootin is just this offense. That's Trevor Lawrence as a rusher, right?
42:15Nine rushing touchdowns last year. You mentioned it, right?
42:18He's going to be a guy that I think will be involved.
42:21He hasn't had injury concerns where they're like, Hey, we got to slow it down with him because he's like Josh Allen
42:27size wise in a way where he's a big boy, right?
42:30Where he can take some hits where they don't really need to scale him back.
42:34He's not Lamar or Jaden who are very thin guys.
42:37So you kind of worry about taking the big hits, but in all fairness, Lamar doesn't take many big hits.
42:43Cause it's just that freakish athletic. Um, but I worry a little bit about Lawrence vulturing on some of the upside for the touchdowns.
42:50I do also worry about Rodriguez just from a standpoint of being like inside the five, right?
42:54Rodriguez last year had a 30% red zone rush rate.
42:57He also had a 40%, 40% rush rate inside the five last season, which I think was, was ranked 10 in the
43:03NFL, which was tied with like Josh Allen. So I do worry a little bit about Rodriguez kind of being a hammer
43:09inside the five, uh, where, you know, it does limit a little bit of the touchdowns in the red zone.
43:15Uh, but you kind of already noted, noted that a little bit too, where, look, I think we're both in agreement.
43:21Like, I don't think Chris Rodriguez is going to be a guy that you're going to be able to start really weekly,
43:27unless there's an injury to toot and, or unless he just ends up being just flat out really good and unexpectedly and
43:33goes, gets into a really good offense. And, you know, we weren't expecting it and he just exceeds very well.
43:39I think it's a little concerning with Rodriguez. He was already hurt, you know, and that's part of it.
43:44He's joining a new team. He's already hurt. And tootin's already kind of the de facto guy coming back in, um, from last year.
43:51So that's going to be something that's going to be very important to monitor because if tootin did take a step forward
43:57and Rodriguez is late to come back to camp, this could be a situation where tootin just establishes himself in the offense.
44:03And then that's where at this ADP I'd be like, okay, I feel pretty comfortable taking him here.
44:08Uh, because you know, he, he's getting all the work in camp because he rods out.
44:13Um, again, still worry a little bit about just the vulturing of the upside where I think Laquan Allen is a better
44:19pass catcher, but as you noted, how much of the early down pass work is he going to get on those screens and stuff like that?
44:26So, um, those are some of my hesitations with him.
44:29Does that, does that kind of, does that make sense?
44:32Do you have any pushback on any of that or, or does that feel about right for where you're kind of sitting as well?
44:38No, I think that's, I think that's accurate. I didn't even bring up the Chris Rodriguez.
44:43Um, I think it's a foot injury at this point.
44:45I don't think we have like a ton of news on it right now, but yeah, it's opening up the gates a
44:52little bit for two and not that I think like Liam Cohen already knows they shall to, right.
44:57I don't think he needed to learn a whole ton this off season about like what kind of player they shall to is.
45:03And I think he was pretty willing to use him very early.
45:06And for, you know, a day three running back to get that kind of run early on, I think, you know, says
45:13a little bit about the way that Liam Cohen feels about, um, base all to.
45:17And then again, like anytime you have a young player like this, with this level of explosiveness, it's hard to kind of ignore what the upside case is.
45:25And, you know, you brought up, you haven't projected for around a thousand yards from scrimmage, which I think is probably, you
45:31know, the, the most likely outcome him, him finishing between 900 and 1100 yards.
45:35The reason I like a dude like to, and is because Rodriguez, in my opinion, just doesn't have the upside to it
45:41is because he's not a pass caster. He's not an explosive player.
45:44And anytime you get to attach yourself to a Jaguars offense, to a top 10 scoring offense, you have the random touchdown upside.
45:51You really don't know what's going to happen inside the five or 10, uh, five or 10 yard line where, you know,
45:57to and could end up with eight or 12 overall touchdowns on the year.
46:01And then you start adding these upside cases to it.
46:03And then you're like, okay, you're looking at like a top, you know, the RB 14 on the year or something like that.
46:10It's a lot of ifs and buts and everything, but it's a player that I, I really like to acknowledge the upside
46:16of because of the situation and the offensive coordinator and the explosive, of him.
46:20So again, it's kind of why I, uh, you know, preface with like, if I have multiple teams, I'm looking to get
46:26to and on one or two of them. He's not a dude that I'm like riding down on the ship with where
46:32I'm like, all right, I got one big team, eight Bay Shaw toot on it.
46:36But I do, I do like him a little bit.
46:39If you're, if you're, um, a little bit less risk averse, uh, than I am.
46:43And you want to take some upshot shots for sure.
46:46Yeah. Yeah. And, and the fact that Rodriguez is already dealing with an injury, God forbid, he does go down.
46:52Um, you know, then it's really shooting in Allen and I don't expect Allen to get much early down work.
46:57And then, then you're really in a situation where you can say, Hey, this is a guy that has top 12 upside, right?
47:04So that's definitely in the range of outcomes. Uh, if, if the injury is a factor and he can't stay healthy, um,
47:10we're going to take one more break and then we'll come back on the other side, finish up with the 49ers and
47:16we'll get you guys out of here. You know, I get asked is AI ruining fantasy sports.
47:21And the answer is absolutely not. We've had consensus rankings available for a long time, but people subscribe to the player rankings

47:31Of course, your rookie rankings, your dynasty rankings, those are all available in the ranking service for player profiler.com password protected.
47:37So the bots can't get to it and you can maintain your edge and use code pod father for $5 off.
47:43Woo. It's a good deal. All right, folks, we are back here on player profile podcast and, uh, it's been a good show so far.
47:50Uh, thank you so much, Nick, for joining us.
47:53We got one more team here and it is, I think I said the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
47:57I want to say the 49ers. I'm getting confused because I think Mike Evans and I'm excited about Mike Evans.
48:03And it just makes me think Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
48:05Cause that's all we know when it comes to Mike Evans.
48:08Uh, but they're obviously always a pretty fun offensive 49ers is for a lot of points.
48:13They're very, very efficient too. We get enough volume typically in this offense, but it's usually, you know, it's usually funneled between two guys, right?
48:20It's been George Kittle or it's been CMC really more CMC.
48:23And then Kittle kind of is that guy where it's like, if someone gets injured, he steps up and gets a lot of volume funnel to him.
48:31Um, but let's talk a little bit about Mike Evans to start because show a little respect to the veteran here, the
48:37whole impending hall of famer who finds himself in a new situation.
48:40Um, I don't know. I got a thing. I feel like for, for dusty veterans lately, they've paid off for me and
48:46that's usually not my style, but I've had, I've had some Devante Adams.
48:50Um, you know, I had Mike Evans last few years, obviously that injury kind of soured things last year.
48:55He didn't finish as strong. You've had some really good history with the running backs too, who have kind of gotten up
49:01there in age and they've been pretty successful. Is this year, the year that Mike Evans is going to fall off?
49:07Does he have enough left to make an impact for fantasy and this offense, in your opinion, Nick, who right now Mike
49:13Evans is going as pick 54, uh, which is actually ahead of everybody on the Jaguars that we talked about, um, running back wide receiver.
49:20Uh, and he's, you know, the number two player behind CMC in this office.
49:24Yeah. I like Mike Evans and I'm with you on the veterans.
49:28This year is a year that I'm super okay.
49:30Drafting some older players. Like even the ones you named who you've been drafting previous years, like give me a Mike Evans, give me a Devante Adams.
49:38Like I think their offensive environment and the structure that they're in right now is a great setup for them.
49:43Evans moving over his new team for the, you know, the first time in his career.
49:48It's just intriguing to attach a dude like Mike Evans, who sure he's been dealing with some injuries.
49:53Like I, it feels like he has a, uh, an annual hamstring injury at this point, but anytime he's on the field,
49:59the man still looks like he is competing and playing at a top level.
50:03And maybe it's not, you know, 2016, Mike, or 2017, 2016 Mike Evans, but it's like, it still feels like he's a very, very eligible receiver.
50:10And when you put a player like that into an offense, like San Francisco with Kyle Shanahan and a dude like Brock Purdy, they score so many points.
50:18Brock Purdy's touchdown rate is so high. He just delivers.
50:21And, and you look at the rest of the weapons in that group.
50:24It's like Ricky Pierce. All can't really stay on the field.
50:27You have George Kittle coming back from the torn Achilles, who I'm, you know, a little bit iffy about right now in that return timetable.
50:34And it feels like Mike Evans is going to be just another kind of cog in the offense that is able to
50:40lift them as a, as a, as a high touchdown score.
50:43Like I wouldn't be surprised if he finished the year with, you know, 10 touchdowns this year.
50:48I would say my one. Trepidation on a dude like Evans is very likely going to run like a ton of outside routes.
50:55And I don't know that we see Purdy really attacking that part of the field.
50:59Like Brandon, I did have a big year in 2023, but even I use big year.
51:03Wasn't a very high target year. Wasn't like seeing a ton of targets per game.
51:08I think he was probably seeing somewhere in like the five to six range, which Evans can still eat on that.
51:13My bet on Evans would definitely be him just being like insanely involved in the red zone in a very high scoring offense with Kyle Shanahan there.
51:21So yeah, I'm, I'm very much not fading Evans this year.
51:24He's not a guy that I'm looking away from at all.
51:27I'd be happy to grab Evans in the fifth round.
51:30If he's someone like I've grabbed two great running backs, I've grabbed two, two great wide receivers and Evans is sitting there
51:36as my first flex or my wide receiver three or whatever.
51:39Probably not going to be a very, very high volume guy, but I haven't watched him in recent years and been like, wow, Mike Evans looks slow.
51:47Mike Evans looks like he's fallen off. Mike Evans doesn't look like the same player.
51:51Eventually it's going to happen, but I'm not sold that it's right now.
51:54Yeah. Mike Evans is, is interesting because you feel like the fall off is eventually going to happen, but we just look
52:01last year, I mean, yes, you know, he did dip a little bit when it comes to his yards per reception, air
52:07yards were down a little bit too, but he only played eight games.
52:10Right. And the, and the health did become a factor.
52:13I think, I think for me, it's really about the health with Evans.
52:17Right. I mean, the last two years he's struggled.
52:19He obviously always has that hamstring injury. Like you mentioned that always kind of seems to pop up with Evans.
52:25But I mean, when he's been on the field, he's been dominant.
52:28Right. And it just feels like, I hate to say it because it just feels like a cheap, like pattern match, but
52:34it feels very Devante Adams desk, right? Right. This is a team that we expect to be in the red zone a good amount.
52:41The tougher thing with them is how, how effective is George Kittle?
52:44Right. Because, you know, if George Kittle is effective and then you have CMC, you know, is Mike Evans, the top target
52:51earner in the red zone, I'd still put my money on it being CMC, which sounds crazy because he's a running back,
52:57but I still wouldn't be surprised if he's still the top target earner in the red zone, in the offense as a pass catcher.
53:03And then it's probably, if I had to guess, it'd probably still be Mike Evans over George Kittle.
53:08Just because Kittle likes, we'll talk a little about Kittle, but Evans still has that, that above the rim ability.
53:14He's a guy that's not coming off a major injury.
53:17And the last time we saw him on the field, he still looked really, really good.
53:2132.9 years old. My projections for this offense are still out of whack.
53:25I got to be honest. I haven't really settled on anything.
53:28I'm not really comfortable putting them out there just yet because I just, I'm still kind of going back and forth with
53:34this offense, but I guess my, my feelings, at least with Evans is like you, I want to have exposure to him.
53:40I'm very, very happy and fine to take that, you know, 54.2% or not percent, but 54.2 ADP for him and take
53:46some, some, some chances on him in that range there.
53:49Right. I mean, you figure that's kind of sitting at that like fifth round area, and the way I draft, I typically don't draft tight ends.
53:56I wanted to mention that with Colson Lovellum. We talked about that.
54:00And I'm just not a guy that drafts tight ends very high.
54:03I just think that the, the range of variance is just, is just too wide.
54:07I mean, Dallas Goddard last year was, it was like top five in points per game last year, and you got them for nothing.
54:14Like just a weird position. So I typically like to get some combination of two running backs, three receivers, or through, you
54:20know, three running backs, two receivers this year might be a little different for me.
54:24Cause there are elite quarterbacks that are falling as well.
54:27So that's, I'm starting to wrap my head around Nick, maybe taking some chances on some elite guys, because I mean, there
54:33are some very, very appealing prices right now for the quarterback position.
54:37But I mean, if I can get Mike Evans as my wide receiver three in the first five rounds, I feel damn good about that.
54:44And I'd be sitting there being okay with the, with the possibility of injury, because even if he does miss a few
54:50games, you can still rotate somebody into his spot.
54:52If he's a flex or if he's your third wide receiver in a three wide receiver start league, you still feel comfortable
54:58kind of maybe put piecing or patching something in there for the games that he may miss because of the age.
55:04Do you have anything else that you want to talk about with Mike Evans or are you ready to move on to the rest of the room?
55:12No, I think we echoed each other pretty well.
55:14Okay. Yeah. I guess when it comes to the rest of the room, Ricky Pierce, all Christian Kirk, right.
55:20I mean, I think these are the two guys that are most obviously vying for that wider two wide receiver two spot.
55:26And ironically, when we talk about injury, I mean, this is a, this is a team that I mean, the San Francisco
55:3249ers couldn't, couldn't have served it up better for us.
55:35When we talk about just injuries in general and, and putting together a team that is really sexy, but has a lot
55:41of concerns when it comes to staying healthy. Christian Kirk obviously has had his issue staying healthy.
55:46Ricky Pierce has had his issue staying healthy. When it comes to the two of these guys, if you had to put
55:52your, your chips in the table, you know, who do you want to have exposure to between the two?
55:57Because someone might just say, I don't really want to take a chance on Ricky Pierce.
56:02So I'd rather just take the cheaper player in Christian Kirk.
56:05Yeah. I mean, I have no interest really in Christian Kirk.
56:08I, I, I don't know if they, they signed him to a one year, $6 million deal.
56:12I'd be pretty surprised if shriveling doesn't end up getting a decent amount of play time over him by the end of the year.
56:19And it's like, Kirk could be semi-interesting if like, they didn't have the ancillary in ancillary, ancillary, sorry, ancillary pieces in like C-Mac and George Kittle.
56:26You know, like there are a lot of teams that don't have a high target guy at tight end and a high
56:33target guy at running back, but this is a team that has two of them.
56:37And now you're talking about a dude who's probably past his prime as like possibly the wide receiver three, maybe the wide receiver four.
56:43So nothing to do with Kirk. Pierce Hall, I think has been really good on like a per route basis so far in the NFL.
56:50I think he's a good separator. I think he fits like a creative Kyle Shanahan scheme pretty well.
56:55Cause he can be moved inside and outside. Big thing with him, of course, his health.
57:00I'm okay. Taking some swings on Ricky Pierce. Although in case Mike Evans does hit that age clip this year, I could
57:06see Ricky P kind of moving into a role where he's, you know, one of Brock Purdy's favorite targets.
57:11And he's a guy that Shanahan loves to move around a lot and like get open in space and move over the
57:18middle of the field while Evans is kind of running most of the routes on the outside.
57:22So I'm interested in Ricky Pierce. All I am completely disinterested in Christian Kirk, however.
57:26Yeah, I'm, I'm kind of with you there as well.
57:29Got it. Got to bring up Kirk just because I mean, he's practically free, right?
57:33You're talking about a ADP of 216, which is pretty much undrafted.
57:37But it's a little bit appealing just because of the offense.
57:40And, you know, if you're in a league where it's maybe a 12 man and, and you have like deep benches where
57:46it's six, seven guys, you might want to take a chance on a guy like Kirk, but understanding that that's the guy
57:52that probably rotates on your bench where it's like, you always, sorry about that.
57:56You always have, you always have about one or two, you know, players that kind of rotate off your bench.
58:02I never get married to the end of my bench because I want to try to find that, that gold early on in the year.
58:09And so Kirk is probably that guy. It's going to be a quick drop.
58:13You'll see how involved he is in the offensive start.
58:15And then I'll probably sit on waivers for a decent amount of time.
58:19Pierce. Pierce. On the other hand, sitting at one Oh five right now with his, his current ADP is, is pretty interesting.
58:25Um, I mean, for, for an offense that we're, we're talking about the injury concerns with Evans.
58:30Uh, we're talking about the injury concerns with George Kittle.
58:33Uh, one Oh five is really not a bad price for Ricky Pierce.
58:36So at all, when you're factoring in that, this is probably still a top five, top 10 offense.
58:41Um, so I'm going to probably have some decent amount of exposure here at that current cost.
58:46Yeah. And I think he's like, when they go into two wide receiver sets, it's going to be him and Evans, I'd have to assume.
58:53So he's going to play, you know, a ton of snaps on the outside.
58:57He's going to play a ton in an offense that you want attachment with.
59:01And, you know, I don't really look at him as too dissimilar, uh, of a player situation.
59:06When you look at guys like the Matthew Goldens who are probably getting drafted around them.
59:10And it's like, I'd rather take the shot on, on Ricky P I think.
59:14Yeah. I'm kind of with you there. Um, and then let's, let's kind of get ready to wrap up here.
59:20Uh, two, two questions or one question, I guess when it does come to George Kittle, right?
59:24I mean, this is a player who picked one Oh 4.4.
59:27There's, you know, he's obviously a tight end you moving around, uh, you know, looking, looking like he's making at least pretty
59:34good strides, given the injury that he suffered, uh, with the Achilles, um, is George Kittle a guy that you will, we'll take some chances on.
59:41Um, I don't know how typically how you draft tight ends, but that one Oh four range is the type of area
59:47where I start to kind of mix and match some of these, these tight ends and good offenses that, that are pretty, pretty fairly priced.
59:54Yeah. I mean, I, I think he's interesting because you have the ability for the first time ever to mix and match
60:00George Kittle rather than having to spend up really, really highly on him.
60:04I will say, I didn't have a strong take on him obviously cause I'm not a doctor, but then I had a Dr.
60:10Jesse Morris, who's a sports physician on my channel a few days ago.
60:14And he had some major concerns with George Kittle, basically looking at some of the video footage that's been going around Twitter
60:20and showing George Kittle running and timeline and all this kind of stuff.
60:24And he's extremely hesitant on, on George Kittle for this year and just him being the same player that he had been
60:30or even close to it in previous years. So I'm not going to lie.
60:34It's kind of spooked me off Kittle quite a bit.
60:36Can he kind of roll into, you know, a 55 to 60% snap share and get eight touchdowns this year?
60:42Sure. It'd be vintage George Kittle and it wouldn't surprise me.
60:45But I could also see a path where he starts to become like Mark Andrews, where it's like, you are relying now
60:51as he's getting older on low volume and you need the touchdowns to start converting in order for him to be like
60:57usable on a week by week basis. And that's gotten kind of miserable for Mark Andrews.
61:02If you owned him last year, it was good the second half of the year prior, but terrible before that, you know what I mean?
61:09That that's kind of a path I could see going down for George Kittle where you're, you know, you're probably going to
61:15be disappointed if it goes down that path. So I think I find myself looking for one of the top eight or so tight ends in the draft.
61:23Usually not a guy that pays up for elite production, either McBride Bauer's probably going to be off my plate.
61:28Loveland. I kind of named some of the guys that I likely will be targeting.
61:33I like a guy I can trust that I don't, you know, necessarily need high upside from, but I can week in and week out.
61:39No, I'm getting that like four for 50 touchdown every other week or something like that.
61:44And that feels fine for me for a tight end.
61:47So the Tyler Warrens of the world, the Tucker crafts of the world, who I'm more optimistic about on his injury being
61:5325 years old and George Kittle at 33. Yeah.
61:55I think that's a fair way to put it in a good way to close that out.
62:00Last question. And then we'll get out of here.
62:03What is a player out of forgetting about the three teams that we talked about today?
62:07Who is a player in fantasy football this year that you find yourself ahead of market on again, that we haven't talked
62:13about can't be on any three of these teams that you are willing to spend up on a little bit and willing
62:19to maybe draft ahead of their current price point in, in 2026.
62:23Yeah. I mean, I have a ton of players, you know, above, above ADP that I, that I'd love to wrap to rip off right now.
62:30I think the guy I feel most comfortable landing on is, is chase Brown of the Cincinnati Bengals.
62:35It's, it's a dude who's, you know, I think will perennially be looked at as someone that we have to be worried
62:41about because of his draft capital three years ago, but he's kind of done nothing but produce high ceiling outcomes for fantasy
62:47football and having to earn every bit of it.
62:50And I think if you take a step back and look at his offensive situation right now, the Cincinnati Bengals are going
62:56to be one of, if not the top scoring offense in the NFL there, they'll have a bit of an improved defense,
63:02but they're still going to have to put up 25 plus points per game to win.
63:07And he's clearly the workhorse there. Like, yeah, Samaja P Ryan took a little bit of work and some scraps off the
63:13plate last year, but that's all you're competing with.
63:15Like we just saw back-to-back seasons of chase Brown be awesome.
63:18And then they went ahead and didn't add anything to that backfield.
63:22So in my opinion, he's not competing with anyone.
63:24And I think there's a world where he could end up leading the NFL in, in running back touchdowns this year, because
63:30he's in the right place at the right time.
63:33He's explosive. He's also their third leading target guy.
63:35Like when, when Burrow doesn't want to throw to chase or T Higgins, the next guy up is chase Brown.
63:41And he's consistently done that week over week. And now year over year to the point where I get it.
63:47Like we can dive into analytics and numbers in the off season, but if a guy just played really well and situationally,
63:53like nothing materially has changed, I'm expecting the same, if not better, you know, luck or a better situation, more comfortability with the offense here.
64:00So for chase Brown, he just feels like kind of a no brainer in the early second round.
64:05Yeah. I, I love chase Brown too. Um, so I will actually probably be ahead of market as well as I do my early rankings.
64:12Um, he's definitely a player that I find myself wanting to draft a higher than, than some of the guys that go ahead of them.
64:19Um, I'm not going to divulge too much into that because, uh, you had a pretty good take there to finish up the show.
