1:11We're going to talk through a trade today and what we think about it, what it means to the Houston Texans acquiring another wide receiver.

1:39That's hosted on Sleeper, and it is Megalobowl.com. So that's going on.
1:43We just did our live stream yesterday, gave away a UDK for Life.
1:48I put a little poll up on Twitter. Obviously, people are in a lot of different leagues, but it looked like about
1:5575% of people still had not drafted. That's great.
1:58That's smart. That's wise. Yeah, I mean, injuries are – they suck.
2:02It's been worse this year? No, it's actually been – Is it normal?
2:07It is normal, and I hate to say this out loud.
2:10Hey. So far – I got bad news for you, Jason.
2:14Jinxes aren't real? Yeah. No. What you say into the microphone right now will have – Oh, really?
2:20We'll have no interest. Oh, really? Yeah, really. This year, the injuries have been absurdly lower than in recent history, and I'm
2:28so happy about that that there will be so few injuries for this offseason.
2:32Let's see. You think you got a lot of power?
2:36I'm going to find out this weekend. I hope I don't.
2:39Settle down, Truman. I am not joking. Mike Truman shows in my head.
2:44Yeah, so a lot's going on. Let's go ahead and jump right in.
2:48Performance Climbers, presented by GMC. All right. We're looking at players whose average draft position has arisen in recent – the last week or two.
2:57Keenan Allen. That one's kind of like, duh. I mean, Keenan Allen's ADP somewhere in the 14th round range.
3:03And what do we think? I hate him. You hate it?
3:07I hate it so, so much. I realized as I've – You hate Keenan Allen?
3:12I hate that Keenan Allen signed with the Colts.
3:15I love Keenan Allen. I really genuinely believe Keenan Allen's going to be their, like, number one wide receiver target right off the bat week one.
3:24And that's what I hate because I was pretty high on Josh Downs.
3:28And the more that I've really looked at who this affects the most, it's clearly Josh Downs.
3:34Like, Tyler Warren's going to get his. When Alec Pierce comes back, he's going to be on the outside.
3:40We know he's going to be on the outside.
3:43Keenan, while being a slot player through his career, he has been more of an outside guy the last couple of years with the Bears.
3:52He went and played actually 60-40 outside to inside.
3:55He can do it. And so my whole thing is, like, I wanted to see Josh Downs in two wide receiver sets,
4:02and I don't think I'm going to. Yeah, they didn't want to.
4:06They did. They saw it. Yeah, maybe he wasn't good enough.
4:10That's the thing. It's a tough thing to ask a player to do that's been in the league for a long time,
4:17that has that physical size to go and become, you know, reliable at a position you're not used to.
4:24I don't think it is solely an indictment on Josh Downs.
4:27They don't have depth. Alec Pierce is not back yet.
4:31They need another wide receiver, period. Yeah, they do.
4:34And the relationship here between Steichen and Jim Bob Cooter and Keenan Allen, like, this was.
4:39Is there a chance it still Downs? I think there is a chance, but Keenan's going to get his.
4:46I mean, he's, after this year, if he gets 50 receptions.
4:49At least 50 receptions. Book it. He moves behind Jerry Rice and Larry Fitzgerald as number three all time.
4:56That's crazy. So, he'll get his. For fantasy, where do you draft him?
5:00What do you expect he's going to do? I think if I'm in a full PPR league, Keenan Allen's going to be
5:08a definite top 24 wide receiver for the first month.
5:11Oh, I don't know, man. I think you still.
5:14I think that there, maybe. Maybe that's the case.
5:17I don't look at Keenan Allen as a player I'm targeting in drafts personally.
5:22Me either. Because I don't target older PPR wide receivers in the super late rounds.
5:27I target young, rookie, upside, Concepcion, Lemon, you know, those Tyson.
5:30Tyson will be earlier. But just anybody in that later round, Jacoby Lane, who we're going to talk about in a second.
5:38I just want a shot at seeing if I can find gold.
5:42Like Keenan Allen, I mean, to your point, if he's good at the beginning, it will decrease with the return of Alec Pierce.
5:50Which we did just from Stephen Holder. Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce is expected to return to practice this week if all goes to plan.
5:58Well, that's great. Oh, it's funny because I saw something this morning that was an announcement that Alec Pierce won't practice today.
6:06Well, today. Both can be true. Yeah. It could still be this week.
6:10That's good, though. That's great for, I mean, they paid that guy a lot of cheddar.
6:15They did. Mike, do you see Keenan on any of your teams?
6:19Certain builds. I think there's definitely a point where, especially like Jay said, when you're in PPR and you're just getting those free points.
6:28But, you know, we make the joke all the time of, like, he could be a boat.
6:33It's like, he can't be a boat. Keenan now might be a rowboat at this point.
6:39Right, yeah. Which is, like, you aren't going to sink.
6:42Yeah, you're not plugging holes yet. You're not drowning.
6:45Yeah, but it's going to be a workout. Keenan or Diggs.
6:49It's going to be a workout, too. I would take Stephon Diggs.
6:53That's how I lean, too, with the opportunity with Jaden Daniels.
6:57Jacoby Lane, aforementioned Jacoby Lane, rookie wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens.
7:01He has moved up about a round or two.
7:04He was a third-round pick, 6'4", 200. I watched a lot of Jacoby Lane film over the last month and a half.
7:11Why is that? He's on my dynasty team. Don't act like your Kyle Williams excitement isn't fueled by your dynasty rostering of Kyle Williams.
7:19Sir, I would never. Yeah, I know how this works.
7:23But, yeah, you pay a little extra close attention to players.
7:26Yeah, you do. Of course. Especially on a team like mine where I'm like, do I have any players?
7:33But to me, it's just been really exciting to watch him work.
7:37His highlights, his collegiate highlights are awesome. Jacoby Lane, you know, so far, been making plays.
7:42He's one of the few guys like Pat Bryant that has made headlines in camp.
7:47And you have a situation now with, look, Zay Flowers got paid.
7:51Mark Andrews is older. Rashad Bateman not only has never really materialized into anything of value for fantasy, but now he's dealing with a domestic violence situation.
8:00From the summer. Yeah. Like, Baltimore beat reporters. What are you doing?
8:04This was out there. Well, okay. I think the most recent, I mean, I thought the news broke like a week ago.
8:12Yeah, if it were out, if it was out, look, I'm pretty much the lawnmower man here.
8:18I live on the internet and I didn't see it.
8:21So they were not really getting the word out.
8:24Yeah, I mean, I literally had a claim in, because it was like the day before that started going like public, there was a report.
8:32It's like, hey, the Houston Texans are looking at trading for Kayshawn Booty or Rashad Bateman.
8:38Right. I had a waiver claim in, in our dynasty league for Rashad Bateman.
8:43And then you canceled it? And then it's like, oh, this is all of a sudden coming out.
8:49It's like, I don't know. The news that I'm reading here is that.
8:53Maybe it was out there and we all missed it.
8:56But it said, following reports on Friday of Ravens receiver Rashad Bateman's June arrest, the NFL started launching an investigation three days ago.
9:04So the club has been in contact with the league regarding the matter, which is under review in the personal conduct policy.
9:12He could be suspended unpaid six games. That may need to have the legal process complete for the NFL to do that.
9:19Yeah. He won't start suspended, but I'm curious. Does it force Jacoby Lane onto the field sooner rather than later?
9:26Because he's a third rounder. We know historically the trends are guys who are going that late.
9:31They don't play very many snaps at the beginning of the year.
9:36It's towards the second half. But if you are bracing that Rashad Bateman isn't the future, he will have his own problems in the future.
9:44Maybe we get Jacoby on the field sooner. Great quotes from the team.
9:48Jameson Hensley came out on August 8th and said, in 27 years covering the Ravens, I've never seen a rookie have a training camp like Jacoby Lane's.
9:57Every day, Lane produces a highlight-making catch and day he has Derrick Henry leaping in the air in celebration.
10:04Declan Doyle, their offensive coordinator, what we thought about him, it just continues to show up.
10:09The guy I was around that has hands like his that he reminds me of is Michael Thomas.
10:15He's definitely got amazing hands. Let me ask this one.
10:19Yeah, the hype train is going. We haven't really seen any wide receiver two with Lamar Jackson be very relevant.
10:25And obviously day three picks are... Well, we've seen a wide receiver and a tight end be relevant.
10:32So is it like... Two pass catchers. Yeah, for sure.
10:35And this is a new offense as well. But with the data that we have of like day two and day three
10:42wide receivers starting slow, after this trade for Kayshaun Booty, a veteran who's going to almost certainly be the wide receiver two
10:50on the field, would you rather draft Booty or would you rather draft...
10:54Oh, that's a good question. ...Jacoby Lane? I don't think...
10:58I mean, I saw some stuff this morning about Booty.
11:01The team might not even see him as a starter.
11:04And so I would take the shot on the younger Jacoby Lane establishing himself in a new offense with a new head
11:12coach and offensive coordinator in system that we don't really know what they're going to unveil.
11:17But we know that we trust Lamar Jackson more than we trust CJ Stroud to make something out of Booty.
11:24I mean, Xavier Hutchinson could very well be the starter from day one in Houston.
11:29Booty, he's a... Last year of his deal, right?
11:32So do they use him? I don't know. It's also a pretty late transition to get things into gear for Houston.
11:39That's a good point. Yeah. The last name in Performance Climbers, Mike Washington Jr.
11:44What a week it was for Mike Washington Jr.
11:47and all the hype there. I wish we had like real-time data.
11:51Of just like his draft spot. Yeah. Here's what we'll start with with Mike Washington.
11:56This is a rookie running back for Las Vegas.
11:59Mike, you, I think, really liked what you saw on film from him?
12:03No, he was... No, it's more of the opposite of the...
12:07His metrics and stuff didn't fully match what he should be doing.
12:11Like, he's 6'1", 220, and he is... Like, he's the 1% of the 1% when it comes to athleticism.
12:18So you expected more out of him. At least I expected more out of him.
12:23And we... You know, in the process it was, oh boy.
12:26This guy just ran a 4-3-3. Like, he's going to get real steamed up in the draft.
12:32And he didn't. So I think that that was the part that we...
12:36That I liked of, okay, he's going to a spot where he doesn't have to be the guy right away.
12:43Because I don't think he's ready to be, like, a full-time pro starter.
12:48It was funny when... Great preseason, though. Yes. When Gentey seemed like he went down, underdog put out, like, how low Gentey went in some drafts.
12:56And how high Mike Washington went in some drafts.
12:59And I believe Mike Washington was drafted at, like, 37 overall.
13:03Holy balls. What? Yeah. And it's... It's... What? I want to...
13:07It's the combination of the exciting long speed play in the preseason with, oh, you're the only guy...
13:13You're the full-time starter somehow. But this is, like, this is a very bad situation.
13:18A team that you don't expect to score a lot.
13:21And, you know, a day three running back without production.
13:25His profile isn't really good. Like, A.J. Dillon, it reminds me of that a lot.
13:30Yeah, yeah. Where it's like, A.J. Dillon had a combine like Derrick Henry.
13:34Yeah. But he's not Derrick Henry. Or he would have been in college.
13:39Mike Washington has a combine like the best of them.
13:42But his, you know, is... Well, let's do the exercise then.
13:46Okay. Let's pretend Gentey did have a season-ending injury.
13:49Where does he actually belong in terms of starters?
13:52And I think you start to have that conversation.
13:55You have it right around the Bayshall-Tuton area. Because if you knew Mike Washington was going to be a starter, you know,
14:02Tootin, Price, Warren, Stevenson, these are committee situations. I think Washington would be a committee as well.
14:08But I think what you're saying is right. But then it was compounded by the long runs and success in the preseason,
14:15the explosiveness, those physical gifts on display. I mean, I'm sure you're taking him over Chuba.
14:21I'm sure you'd probably take him as a starter.
14:24Would you take him over Ramondre or Warren? I mean, probably.
14:28I don't think so. I think I would rather have the better offense.
14:32Maybe Warren. Ramondre is on a good offense. And Warren is a...
14:36I think I would take Warren ahead as well.
14:39Do you think Mike Washington deserves to be drafted?
14:42Yes. You do? Yeah. Because he's a high-level, you know, insurance situation?
14:46Well, at the very least, right now, I mean, week one, Gentee is rumored to not...
14:51We don't know that he's going to be back for week one.
14:56The last I saw is it's potential. He misses week one.
14:59So this is where... The last was like, we're hearing it's a low ankle sprain.
15:04Right. As compared to high. Which would be good.
15:07Which that's... But that's the thing is we're hearing.
15:10Why can't we get an official? Because they don't have to really report that stuff.
15:15And Mike Washington deserves to be drafted. The preseason has been solid.
15:19There's a chance that Gentee misses time. And based off of what this is...
15:24I'm not saying Gentee won't be like the man for the Raiders.
15:28But it's like based off of what Kubiak just did in Seattle, Mike Washington might be in the plans to be someone
15:36who's getting like 35 to 40 percent of some rushing attempts here.
15:40If you build zero RB, there's such a... That's exactly the player you want to be taking.
15:45Tyler Algier and Mike Washington, those like guys who...
15:49For week one. Yeah, exactly. Like they might be great starters if those are your...
15:54And if it is a high ankle sprain, like he'll be out multiple weeks and then Gentee won't be ready to go
16:01on that first, like the first couple weeks. That was Performance Climbers brought to you by GMC.
16:07We are professional grade. We're going to take a break real quick and then we're going to come back and do some news.
16:15Get into the mailbag. News and notes from around the league.
16:18The Texans traded for former Patriots wide receiver Kayshawn Booty.
16:22They've been trying to get that booty out of town.
16:25It... What do you guys make of that? Them trading him?
16:29No, no. Just that all of the news, the offseason was like, Kayshawn Booty's, you know, he wants a trade.
16:35He... And then it sounded very much like, oh, well, the team is...
16:40They're quite open to trading him away. I mean, he was not like a dominant part of their offense last year, but
16:47I think he showed that he belongs on a football field.
16:51He would have easily been there. He was a great deep threat.
16:55Yeah. He would have been a starting wide receiver for them.
16:59I feel like it was the final year of the contract situation that is hanging over it.
17:04They have a lot of other weapons. What's wild to me...
17:08But why not ride it out? I think this was for Booty.
17:12I think this was... I think they are doing Booty a solid.
17:16Okay. Because when they... When they... They're going to...
17:19Oh, man. Ride it out. Not our fault. Yeah.
17:22Kayshawn. When Kayshawn requested a trade, it was like, you signed Romeo Dobbs.
17:27He was upset, for sure. Yeah, you signed Romeo Dobbs, and then you get a trade for A.J.
17:33Brown. You're like, oh, I don't have the opportunity...
17:36He doesn't want to be there. ...to thrive. He wants a place where he can...
17:41And then, with the injury for the Texans, it's like, okay, he's at least got the opportunity.
17:47Maybe Hutchinson starts the season as the second wide receiver.
17:50I think Booty will overtake second half. I think Booty's a better wide receiver, and so in Booty's mind, he's got the...
17:57How many times can you say Booty in one minute?
18:01In Kayshawn Booty's mind, I think he's excited about the opportunity to thrive in a situation where, you know, he doesn't have
18:08to overtake two other people ahead of him. But here's something that's not been said, and it'll open up opportunities for Kyle
18:16Williams and DeMario Douglas and some other pass catchers.
18:19What's wild to me is that we're sitting here...
18:22This is the team that went to the Super Bowl in the Patriots.
18:26All their, you know, schedule notwithstanding, amazing season, MVP candidate in Drake May.
18:31And two of his primary targets last year that were significant contributors to this team were Kayshawn Booty and Stephon Diggs that are gone.
18:39The pass catchers are great names, with Dobbs and A.J.
18:42Brown, but we actually haven't seen them together, right?
18:45So, like, it's just a little bit unique to me to have a top five offense passing-wise, reset all of your pass
18:52catchers, and then expect it to just work perfectly from day one.
18:57I thought... Somebody shared a tweet, and I put it in the chat somewhere.
19:01Maybe you guys can find it. It was basically something I would love to actually see for all the teams.
19:08And when, you know, when people speculate about preseason numbers, I tell you, I hate completion percentage.
19:14Right. I hate... They should be trying new stuff.
19:17They should be failing in preseason. I hate it when they go through and they're like...
19:22You mean in camp? In camp. Yes. Yeah. But the numbers of, like...
19:27It was a list of the receptions by pass catchers from New England...
19:31Caught from Drake May. Caught by... From Drake May in the entire training camp.
19:36And it was like, A.J. Brown was number one.
19:39Dobbs was number two. Ramondre was number three. Hunter Henry was number four.
19:43Like, Booty was way up on that list. He was not as high.
19:48But, yeah, it was A.J. Brown, Romeo Dobbs, Ramondre Stevenson, DeMario Douglas, Hunter Henry, then Keishon Booty.
19:53Don't worry, Travion's there just below Eli Raridon. But I would love to see that from every team to get a little
20:01bit of an idea of where these guys are going regularly in camp.
20:05Like, you want to ask me who the pass catchers to roster are?
20:09I mean, it's Brown and Dobbs. And Dobbs is not getting nearly enough talk on a team that was a top-tier passing percentage offense.
20:18We're sitting there, A.J. Brown, like, Dobbs is sitting right there.
20:21I agree. I think the news on Dobbs has just been kind of weird.
20:26There's been a couple days where it was like, oh, hey, it's Romeo Dobbs day.
20:31But it's kind of few and far between. And then A.J.
20:35Brown gets there and, you know, there was talk at the beginning of they're not fully connecting.
20:41But the stuff I've been reading lately is very, very positive for A.J.
20:45Brown. It's, for Dobbs, it's like, how do they, how do they actually put these wide receivers, you know, on the field?
20:52Is it just standard, okay, we got Brown and Dobbs are going to be on the outside and then Douglas will just be the slot player?
21:01Or are they going to move Romeo Dobbs where he'll get to do, he'll play some big slots?
21:07I think they've been, I believe they've been moving him around to be a little bit of the big slot, which you
21:15see in the second, you know, target pecking order from camp.
21:18That role is very valuable historically from the Patriots.
21:21So, I'm, I'm open to Dobbs. Like, that's another name where it's like Dobbs or Jacoby Lane.
21:27Dobbs or Jacoby Lane, I would rather have Dobbs.
21:30On the, on the Booty to Houston side, I have so, I have no interest in any way, shape, and form for
21:38Kayshawn Booty in Houston from a fantasy perspective. He was on one of the best passing offenses in football last year, played
21:45a ton of snaps for them and still, you know, he had his splash games, but consistency wise, it was, it was trouble.
21:53He's touchdown or bust. Yeah, to me, it's just, that's a tough thing to ask of CJ Stroud on a defense and a running game offense.
22:02I don't know. I just, I don't care. I think Booty will be, if anything, he's just, he'll be on the waiver show when Hutchinson inevitably is overtaken.
22:11Brees Hall on track to play week one. He was dealing with the groin.
22:16Must have, must have butterflyed stretch. By the way, we, we did an embarrassing butterfly stretch analysis of all staff members yesterday.
22:23Some of you, Papa Josh, impressive. Papa Josh, must have tore those groins as a young man.
22:29Doesn't have them anymore. No restrictions. Knees to the ground.
22:32But on the other hand, Al Borland has work to do.
22:36I do. Not a, not a butterfly that could really get off the ground, I don't think.
22:42You know what I mean? That was a caterpillar stretch.
22:45Try to flap those wings. Yeah, you could, you could.
22:48Not a lot of crisscross applesauce going on, eh.
22:51Oh yeah. No, I love chairs. The news about Ashton Jensi's ankle sprain more low than high.
22:57That's good. We'll see. More low than high. That's such a weird phrase.
23:02The high versus low is like different ligaments. I don't, it's not literally like a, a percentage of direction.
23:08I don't get it. Trayvon Henderson has been diagnosed with a low right ankle injury and will undergo further precautionary tests.
23:15Malik Neighbors was wearing a non, wasn't wearing a non-contact jersey on Monday's practice.
23:20Reasonable to assume he will be ready for week one according to John Harbaugh.
23:25That's big news. Ja'Cory Kraski-Marra injured his groin. Yeah.
23:28Yeah. Thank you. Sorry. That was honestly embarrassing at this time.
23:31I was, I was reading because we have in Monday's practice but I think I had read something that had actually happened last Thursday.
23:39Rashad White returned to individual drills so there's a little flippy floppy of availability for the running back room.
23:46Trey Benson, set free by the Cardinals, released. What a great third round pick he was.
23:51I saw one play yesterday. He had one play with Arizona that accounted for 11.5% of his total yards on the team ever.
23:59Yeah. That's how utilized he was in Arizona. Dude could not stay healthy.
24:03Well, I mean, year one he was buried behind James Conner who at that point was still playing very good football and then he couldn't stay healthy.
24:12This was, if you're a Benson believer like I am, this was the only way forward.
24:18It's, I mean, we're, it's probably over but if he stayed on the Cardinals there was no path at all.
24:25Mike LaFleur said Monday Jeremiah Love is progressing in his recovery from a high ankle sprain and will remain sidelined this week.
24:32Is that, now I know the rumors were the high ankle.
24:36Had, does that, like an actual confirmation of it?
24:39I don't know. Okay. I saw reported as high ankle but I did too but I thought it was they were like
24:46we're not sure because they're not saying anything. I'm assuming there's also degrees.
24:51Well, it's more high than low. Yeah, I just mean like there's got to be a worse or better Yes, there are grades.
24:58High ankle sprain grade wise. We had a mild setback for Keaton Mitchell who had mispracticed on Sunday and Monday.
25:05I mean, he was flashing in the preseason they want to utilize him but if he can't stay healthy which has been a problem for Keaton Mitchell.
25:14True. he missed an entire year in Baltimore and had other injuries.
25:18That's something to pay attention to. You would love Omari and Hampton to get some pass catching third down work that would
25:26be going to Keaton Mitchell to concentrate it a little bit.
25:29That's the biggest concern. Brian Thomas Jr. is quote, all right.
25:33After falling on his shoulder there was some news reports this morning that all right.
25:38All right. All right. That he was down and people were worried.
25:42And then this is exciting. This is terrible news for Michael Penix.
25:46Kevin Stefanski said Michael Penix and Tua Tungvalu will split first team reps on Monday.
25:51I saw the stats. Penix, you got to have a setback, brother.
25:55Penix was four for eight. So you can start.
25:58Yeah. And Tua was zero for three. Yeah. Yeah.
26:02So all that. Man, that is oh boy. What they wouldn't do target monster.
26:06The last time you overhear say that officially retiring.
26:09He was a my guy for Mike in 2015.
26:12yes, he was. Jacksonville. That is that was a good one.
26:16He led the league in touchdowns. Yeah, that was a great pro bowl year for Allen Robinson.
26:22Allen Robinson. Great player. Thank you for the didn't have the career.
26:26I think we might have hoped from that point.
26:29No, no, he didn't. But the target monster was awesome.
26:32It got me, I believe, league record championship that year.
26:36You have. Yes, he had that play down the sideline.
26:39I think you said you I was in my boxers high kicking in the living room.
26:44Yeah, sir. Title is mine. I guess you remember it too.
26:48Huh? Let's do some mailbag. Mailbag. Yeah. If you have a question for the show, go to the website the fantasy footballers dot com.
26:56Click the submit a question button. Or dial our voicemail hotline.
27:00We have a couple voicemails today. 302-464-TFFB. We'll start with one of those.
27:04Hey, ballers. Just wanted a quick question on a keeper that I have in an upcoming league.
27:10Should I keep Cam Scadaboo with my ninth round pick or should I keep Quinshawn Judkins with my 16th round pick?
27:17Thanks. Love the show. Man, that's such a good question.
27:21Cam Scadaboo for a ninth, Quinshawn Judkins for a 16th.
27:24I think you've got to start with just who do you like more because the ninth round is where you know, that's where I'll start taking quarterbacks.
27:33I'll start taking my late tight ends because the running backs and wide receivers there are, you know, they're not exactly the
27:40guys that are high odds to be good. So if you, if you're like definitely on the Scadaboo side, I don't think
27:48the value from nine to 16 is worth switching.
27:51But the question is, which side are you on right now with the recent kind of vibes that it's not going to be the Scadaboo show.
28:00They bring in Najee. They, you know, the way that they've been talking, it just doesn't seem like he's going to be a three down back.
28:08Although Tyrone Tracy feels like he has really a zero down back.
28:12Oh man. I mean his, his preseason. I'll take Cam here.
28:16Oh, and you're Mr. Judkins. Yeah. I'll take Cam here because you know what?
28:21You can talk a big game about not giving the ball to Cam Scadaboo a lot, but when your alternative is to
28:28hand it to Devin Singletary, Tyrone Tracy, or the often Achilles, Najee Harris, who by the way, this is not Najee from five years ago.
28:37That was, you know, more of even five years ago.
28:40It wasn't great. Exactly. That's my point is like we hear the name Najee and we're like, oh my gosh, what a threat.
28:48Like last year, this was the, Najee was the threat to Hampton, right?
28:52And so I think when push comes to shove and this team needs to get going three, four weeks into this season,
29:00I'd be shocked if Scadaboo doesn't have the workload.
29:03I hope you are correct. I don't have a ton of faith in the coaching staff up in New York to make real good decisions with their offense.
29:12But of these... You want to know a little bonus to picking Cam here?
29:17Please. You don't have to watch Watson. Yeah, that's a...
29:20It's Cam Scadaboo for me. I want to watch the Giants.
29:24I think the Giants are going to be a good team this year.
29:28I don't know that we're going to necessarily love how Nagy implements everything, but I think their defense is underrated and I
29:36believe that we haven't seen them with this many good offensive weapons in a while.
29:41Dart, if he's the real thing, didn't get neighbors, has neighbors, didn't have Cam, has Scadaboo there.
29:47I really wish they still had Wandale. I feel like that's the missing piece of that team is I wish they had Wandale, neighbors, likely Cam.
29:55I hope that Malachi Fields and some of these other guys can step up.
30:00That's just the one thing that sticks out. But I hope you're right.
30:05It'd be fun, right? Yeah. Are you taking Cam or Judkins?
30:08I'm going to take Scadaboo. I believe that he's just so talented and I...
30:13Judkins, I worry, won't have the pass-catching role whereas Scadaboo's such a good pass-catcher.
30:18Hey, Ballers. This is Dan in South Bend. I want to see if you guys think I'm overreacting.
30:24I'm thinking about trading Judkins or Ramondi Stevenson with Stevenson being on what I feel is going to be a much better offense than Cleveland.
30:32What do you guys think about that? I appreciate it.
30:36Love the show. So this is trade Quinshon Judkins for Ramondre.
30:39So I would at first I would say I don't think you're overreacting to believe the Patriots offense will be better than the Cleveland Browns.
30:48I'll start with that one. I don't think that's his overreaction.
30:51It's just are you going as far as saying I would rather...
30:56I mean, basically would you draft Ramondre ahead of Judkins?
30:59Here's one thing I will mention to you when you think about this.
31:03On a points per game basis Stevenson was better than Judkins last year.
31:08Yeah. 11.6 to 11.2 fancy points per game. It's Ramondre.
31:11I don't think there's anything wrong with taking Ramondre.
31:14He just... Oh, there's plenty wrong. I have the back-to-back in my rankings right now.
31:19Who do you have higher? I've got Quinjon Judkins a spot higher than Ramondre right now.
31:25Yeah, I mean, I think it's... I think that's a...
31:28Like Jason said, pick the guy you like the most there.
31:32I don't think that's a problem. If you have more conviction around goal line opportunities for Ramondre because Watson hasn't sniffed a goal line in five years.
31:41We talk about, you know, when you're in a tier, that's when you use tiebreakers.
31:46And if you want to use the team, the environment as the tiebreaker, great, do it.
31:51We did get a fun little update from Jordan Renan over there in New York.
31:56The unofficial Giants depth chart for the finale just got released.
32:00Cam Scadaboo, the starter. But listen to this. Here's the backup.
32:04The backup is... The RB2 is Tyrone Tracy or Najee Harris or Devin Singletary.
32:08That's the listed number. Brother, perfect. Have some backbone.
32:11Green play... Who knows who the backup is? The backups don't.
32:15You can't tell Tracy he's the backup. No. His preseason has...
32:19First, letting Jackson Dart die on the field because of entirely your fault and then fumbling in the red zone the next week.
32:27Not a good look. No, it's not. Not great.
32:30There you go. All right. Our next question comes in from Preston in Utah.
32:34If you draft Josh Allen, is it worth targeting DJ Moore later in the draft to get that stack?
32:41Yeah. I think so. I'm a big fan of...
32:44Oh, you're in now. I'm not necessarily in in the sense that like I'm not personally taking a lot of DJ Moore.
32:51I see... I'm not completely opposed like I was earlier.
32:55He's looked really good in camp. You know, it seemed like at his age he had lost it with the Bears.
33:02Changing teams to a team that can do it without him.
33:05You know, they've done it the last couple years.
33:09It seemed very uphill sledding to have DJ Moore work out.
33:12However, this offseason DJ Moore's looked really good and I mean, I know we've gotten duped in the past from Alan Robinson
33:20looking great in camp and then he doesn't have it.
33:23So I'm fine letting DJ Moore go but if I were to have already drafted Josh Allen, that's the place where I take DJ Moore personally.
33:32Would you go... Would you rather do that or would you just wait and have like a Dalton Kincaid Josh Allen stack?
33:39I mean, I... Those are both things in the back of my mind as a Josh Allen manager in our upcoming draft
33:47is just like to split the difference on like with Kincaid or Goddard or all those later round tight ends is like
33:54that'd be awesome to have the stack. It'd be awesome to take a shot on DJ Moore if he's around late.
34:01I feel like he's going to get ignored in a lot of drafts.
34:06I mean, that could be an underrated stack for sure.
34:09You're in the late fifth or in the early sixth.
34:12I'm trying to pull up ADP real quick because it's what is your opportunity cost to buy that stack?
34:19You're talking you're passing on probably not a lot.
34:22J-Mo Williams. Wait, what? Luther Burden, Bashal Tootin, Jadarian Price.
34:25Oh, I might not have DJ Moore. Yeah, that's your name to...
34:29You shouldn't have said any of that stuff. Like if you take...
34:33Was that fifth round? It's late fifth, early sixth round.
34:37They're talking... This is sleeper ADP. Yeah, DJ Moore needs to be back of the sixth.
34:42Yes. Yes. So more like you're open to it but you're not...
34:46Maybe not force it. I'm definitely not forcing that.
34:49And to answer your other question, I would rather do the Dalton Kincaid because I believe in Dalton Kincaid at the position.
34:57All right. That's a name. Instagram question from Big Neck Officer.
35:00Big Neck Officer? Is this Davis Mills? Maybe. Well, that's Tall Neck.
35:04You wouldn't call it a Big Neck? That's a good question.
35:08I think a Big Neck is more like Shrek.
35:11Yeah, why? Girthy. Brock Lesnar. Shrek doesn't really have a neck.
35:15Exactly. Brock Lesnar is more of the why. Yeah.
35:18Traps. Who's the Eagles security guy? Oh. I can't think of his name.
35:22I know what you're talking about. Big Dom. Thank you, Kyle.
35:26Big Dom. But the question is how many guys...
35:29Or as Matt would say, Big Dim. You idiot.
35:32Matt. Yeah, and you tried to delete it before I saw it.
35:36What, he typed that? Yeah, he typed it. It's just a typo.
35:40I'm sorry. It's just a typo. He types like he thinks.
35:44You understand a typo like Big Dom to Big Dim is a pretty big deal.
35:49Is your hair all wet? No. What are you doing?
35:52Why are you... Are you practicing dance moves? Why are you so sweaty?
35:57Oh, man. Matthew. Oh, this is great. What are you doing back there?
36:01YouTube.com slash the fantasy footballers. He's having a run.
36:04He's trying to lean so hard to get out of frame.
36:08Is it because of the sweat? No, it's a new look.
36:11It's a new thing that my stylist... Oh, now I feel bad.
36:16No, it looks great. It's supposed to dry eventually, but it hasn't in an hour or two.
36:21They were like, put this oil in? Yeah. All right.
36:25From this angle, it's more of a hairnet. But anyways, how many games into the NFL season do you think a team
36:32has shown you who they really are? Oh, that's a great question.
36:36We may have to compensate for some of what we do to the deucers with a deucer of the day award or something.
36:44I think we're going to need that. Give it to Matt.
36:48That's fine. I'd like to talk about it. You are the deucer of the day.
36:53The first ever deucer of the day. Congratulations. We'll be back to talk about you some more.
36:58Yeah. Now that you're the deucer of the day, you can take it.
37:03It just nominates you for the whole show to get ripped.
37:07Yes. Oh, congratulations. Congratulations on such an honor. How many games into the NFL season does it take for a team to show you who they really are?
37:16Gosh. I'm going to say I got my number.
37:19You want to write it down? Yeah. Well, let me you write your number down, but I'm going to give one thought, which is the Colts last year.
37:28But I guess that was in you. That was laundry.
37:32All right. I've got my number. Like trends and just like momentum and stuff, I think that can ebb and flow, but to know who that team is.
37:41All right. My number is... Oh, Mike wrote 10.
37:44I went 10. Oh, okay. I went six. I went four.
37:48Okay. I think after the first month, not that teams can't change to get better.
37:53Like I remember... That's why I need more. I've seen...
37:56I think four is too few for me too.
37:59Remember when the Denver Broncos were like 6-0 or 7-0 and then they didn't make the playoffs?
38:05Yeah. Like that was the McDaniel year. But those are outliers.
38:09I was just going to bring up when the Chiefs were 0-5 and made the playoffs.
38:14That was like they really changed course. Yeah. So I need 10.
38:18By the end of the year, they are something different than they were at the beginning of the year.
38:25Well, let's put it to the test. Okay. Four weeks into last year.
38:29Do you want to look at where we were?
38:32Oh, that's neat. We have that information. It exists.
38:35A little bit. Oh, man. Bills are 4-0. Oh, man.
38:39Yeah. I don't think you're going to get good information.
38:42I wouldn't do it. Yeah, I don't think it's the right data.
38:46Kyle says 17. We do know through 17 games.
38:49Yeah. I should be able to get this data.
38:52We'll figure it out. Kyle's on it. Kyle's on it.
38:56Yeah, I'm busy hosting the show. I can't get good data.
38:59But yeah, for me, it's like 6, but I was leaning more towards the high side.
39:05Maybe 8. I think after 6, you're starting to figure it out.
39:09The schedules can be just really complimentary or tough.
39:12Like the Broncos. Are we going to know who the Broncos are through four weeks?
39:17Yeah, the Broncos, the Jaguars, the Patriots, they get off to really tough starts.
39:22But I also think you have to, for fantasy purposes, you've got to kind of make an early judgment.
39:28You don't want to do too early. None of us wrote down like, hey, you just need to see them play twice.
39:35My point was, I don't think you can do it before four.
39:39Oh, totally. But after four, you've got to start making those judgment calls of who's a great defense, who's the offense.
39:47It's tough, because if you wait 10, you've got a couple...
39:50It's not a lot of information. Yeah, you've got a couple weeks left before fantasy playoffs.
39:56I was looking at the question more of like, who do I, like the team, do I actually believe that this team is going to make noise?
40:05There. We'll take a break. We've got some more questions.
40:08All right, Brett writing in, is there such a thing as over mock drafting?
40:13I've done 100 since May. Please don't judge me.
40:16No judgment. Judgment-free zone here. I don't think so, unless you're annoying yourself.
40:20I think the danger could be that mock drafts are a tremendous tool to kind of get you ready for things, but
40:28you know that in your live draft, you're going to have at least two wild cards where a...
40:34A pick here or there in the second or third round really changes the trajectory.
40:39So if you're like, I've done this 100 times, I'm locked in, and I know that this is the range.
40:46Weird stuff happens in drafts. I do have the standings after four weeks.
40:50Okay. All right. Last year, Buffalo was 4-0. New England was 2-2.
40:54Okay. I'm just going to read like the top two of every division.
40:58Sure. Pittsburgh 3-1, Cincinnati 2-2. Baltimore was 1-3. That changed.
41:02Indianapolis 3-1, Jacksonville 3-1. Chargers 3-1, Denver 2-2. Philly 4-0, Washington 2-2.
41:06So I may... Take some time. Yeah. Detroit 3-1, Green Bay 2-1, Tampa 3-1, Atlanta 2-2, San Fran 3-1, Seattle 3-1, Rams 3-1.
41:14Cardinals 2-2. Wow. Cardinals never won another game. I think the rest of the year, that was crazy.
41:20Stack attack question from Gunderson. What's an underrated stack to watch for when drafting?
41:24We just talked about. I mean, I think DJ Moore with Josh Allen is an underrated stack.
41:30Tyler Shuck is free. Stack. If you get a Lave and you want to wait on a quarterback, why not take that shot?
41:38I'm for it. Man, the Jordan Tyson injury is such a bummer for Tyler Shuck at the beginning of the year.
41:45It's a clearer stack now. Oh, of course. I'm just saying that Tyler Shuck being free was...
41:51Oh, man. It was going to feed families. Yeah, you were very in on him for fantasy this year.
41:57I don't think you have to be out in the second half.
42:01At all. I think it can happen in the first half, too.
42:05I do believe that what we saw last year, you know, he didn't have...
42:10his starter pace of 4,200 yards. Yeah, exactly. And he didn't have Jordan Tyson then.
42:15And one touchdown. And coming into year two, I like that stack.
42:19I did a tweet of my favorite stacks, including like the ADP value in order and in little tiers.
42:25I accidentally left Shuck and Lave off, and that was my mistake.
42:30Like my... The one that I'm going for that I like the value of right now, if I can get...
42:36I like Neighbors in the third and Dart in the ninth.
42:40Oh, man. It is playing with fire because both of those guys, you know, Malik Neighbors coming off the ACL, does he start slow?
42:48Is it a problem? Jackson Dart? I mean, Andy's bust pick, like you could see how that doesn't work out, Matt Nagy.
42:56But at the same time, I feel like both guys are in a range where they represent value where if Malik Neighbors
43:03is healthy and has his best season, he does not belong anywhere near there.
43:08If Jackson Dart has his good version of a...
43:11He doesn't belong anywhere near there. Like these are both guys that could seriously outproduce their ADP.
43:16Where do you... So, you know, we bring up the, hey, draft as late as you possibly can.
43:23There are a few players where it does help the drafter early if you had the courage to do it because Malik in the third.
43:31I think when, like, the huge drafts are coming this weekend and some even next weekend, he's not going in the third.
43:38No, he'll be in the second. People will go early second round on Malik Neighbors.
43:43So that's an ADP. Like, if you're looking at that, you know, rubbing your hands thinking you're going to get Malik Neighbors
43:51in the third, I think that is incorrect. I think, well, let's just look here because right now you've got...
43:58I doubt he goes above the AJ Brown, Drake London tier.
44:01Could he sneak above him? I bet there's leagues he goes above Drake London.
44:06Nico Collins, George Pickens. Yeah. So if that's the case, if he's in that area...
44:11I think people are going to be willing to do that.
44:15It's basically the two-three turn. Yeah. You're at the back of the two more than likely.
44:20And yeah, I agree. That's where he'll go in every league.
44:24Yeah, just... Someone will reach... Just want people, be aware.
44:27Don't be sitting looking at that ADP... Thinking he'll come back around to you.
44:32The rest of your league is salivating looking at that ADP trying to get a steal.
44:37I'll bring up Bo Nix and Jalen Waddell. You know, the case was made just earlier for Bo Nix being a true value in the draft.
44:46Bo Nix was very close to being a my guy for me if it wasn't for the first six-week schedule.
44:53Right. So I... Dude, we all can see that.
44:56Like, how can it be worse than where he's being drafted?
45:00Yes. He's going in the late 10th, which is like...
45:03This is an afterthought. And then I'll stack in with Jalen Waddell who remains one of my favorite picks in fantasy right now.
45:11One thing we were talking about before the show is that there are certain players that are...
45:17They have... Like, some players are like... Kind of guaranteed to produce on some level.
45:22Some players are full like maybe that wild card category where they could be...
45:26Like I was saying, Travion. Like, Travion could be three things.
45:30He could be... Yes, he can. He could be worthless for your team.
45:35Yep. He could be a flex-worthy player and he could win your league if he got the opportunity.
45:41I look at Dart do that lens. Do you agree with that?
45:45I definitely agree with that. Dart could fall on his face and be worthless and he could be a league winner.
45:52So I have a couple other names. See if you guys agree on them having three possible outcomes.
45:58Oh, I love this. The extreme bust all the way up to extreme league winner.
46:03Bucky Irving. Do you think that that's the case?
46:06I don't... I don't. I don't see league winning in there.
46:10I don't either. Okay. I think it's established that the pass-catching role is Gainwell's now.
46:15What about Jadarian Price? Yes. Yeah. So all three ranges?
46:18Yeah, if the coaches decide that he is the guy, which...
46:22Come on. Yeah. Dude. A thing that will bring me such joy and I get it.
46:27I'm sorry. It will be fantasy misery for people.
46:30If George Helani is keeping Jadarian Price off the field because this is just what Seattle does and living my life of
46:38Charbonnet keeping Ken Walker off the field, it will bring me some sick sense of...
46:43Some morbid pleasure? Yeah. I'll feel pretty okay about it.
46:46There's a lot of stuff in fantasy like that that you're just like, I don't want to see you fail, but...
46:53Right. I would rather Price just take the job.
46:56Price could be all three? Yeah, agreed. RJ Harvey?
46:59I don't think he can be the league winner because I think if slash win J.K.
47:05Dobbins misses some games, I think it goes to Coleman.
47:08Like, Coleman is now to the point of the drum beat and the hype that like, he's making me more nervous about the J.K.
47:16Dobbins pick. Right. Harvey... I don't give two farts about RJ Harvey.
47:20He's not taking... He's not overtaking Dobbins and getting a whole bunch of work.
47:25If Coleman is as good as we thought he was going to be and then the coaches believe he is the guy,
47:32that is a transition that could happen. Yeah, I think that RJ Harvey has a higher ceiling than we have been giving
47:40him credit for, but I agree it's not a league winner.
47:43Like, if Harvey's catching 40 passes, what did he catch last year?
47:48Probably near there. Yeah, probably in the 40s. Let's see.
47:51because he finished at RB21. Yeah, he caught 47.
47:54Man, five receiving touchdowns. So, I guess he would have to be more up in like the high 50s or 60s.
48:01Three more names that I'm at. I wonder if you see them in all three categories.
48:06This potential bust, potentially just good and potentially league winner.
48:10Parker Washington. Definitely. He scares the... I don't think he can bust.
48:14I do. Oh, I do. Okay. I don't. Okay.
48:17I think that he is solid to great. Did you guys see the new uniform reveal graphic?
48:23I love theirs. Oh, the Jaguars? It's the rival uniforms from the team.
48:27It's not about the uniforms. Oh, is it Parker in the center?
48:31Parker is dead center and it's not like in a line.
48:35It's a V where Parker's in the front and everyone is...
48:38The flying V? The flying V and everyone is behind Parker.
48:42He's sitting there front and center like I'm the dude.
48:46It's not even Trev? No. No. Is that a horse boy?
48:49Yeah, the horse boy... Is he too tall? They had to put tall people in the back?
48:55yeah, short in the front. It makes sense. But I do think Parker Washington could bust simply because of how many mouths
49:02there are to feed but I also... That's interesting though, Mike.
49:06He scares me as... He scares me on the league winning side.
49:10Two more. I love these. I love these. One quarterback, one tight end.
49:15You ready? Yes. One quarterback, one tight end. Kyler Murray.
49:18Oh man. Oh man. Yes. I... Disgusting. I will put my face back in the woodshedder for Kevin O'Connell.
49:24Disgusting, yeah. JJ McCarthy's the only quarterback who... Well, Brosmer, but Brosmer didn't just belong to be on the NFL field.
49:31It's like, you got value out of the shell that is Carson Wentz and that you let him be destroyed and he was still giving you production.
49:41We talked a lot on this episode about stacks and, you know, we've been a little bit worried about Justin Jefferson, at
49:48least yellow flags for where he's going in the first round.
49:52It's like... And I'm still there. And I'm still there too but I was thinking about this.
49:57If Justin Jefferson works, like let's say Justin Jefferson's awesome meaning he's a top three wide receiver where he has been most of his career.
50:06Yep. The Jefferson-Kyler stack is great. is going to be the best one in football.
50:11So, that's, you know, if you grab Justin Jefferson in the first, even if you have another quarterback, maybe like use your
50:18last pick because Kyler's, I mean, borderline undrafted right now in single quarterback leagues.
50:23I think he could go high but doubtful. Dalton Kincaid.
50:27Yeah? I do think so. I think that there's a world where he jumps to the elite if he gets the opportunities.
50:34He's obviously been great on a per route run and there is definitely, I mean, we've seen it year after year where absolutely worthless.
50:42Yeah, those picks are interesting. You really don't want a bunch of those on your team, I think.
50:48I think it's good to have one, maybe two players that you spin the draft pick and you're like, they might not start for me.
50:57But they could also be tremendous. I think it's a matter of where the cost is.
51:02You know, if you're talking about double-digit round cost on guys like, you know, if Dalton Kincaid makes it to the 10th
51:09and Kyler is free, I'll take shots on them like crazy.
51:13All right. Do you guys know what tomorrow is?
51:16Oh, my Atlanta. It's Wednesday. It is Wednesday, middle of the week.
51:20Big day. What day is it? Hump day. Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike.
51:25You think Mike doesn't know when hump day is?
51:28It is my guy's day. Fantastic. You can see how excited Al Borland is there with the huge my guy's yawn.
51:35You can see how sweaty the Falcon is. Oh, he's excited.
51:38Deucer of the day. So sweaty about it. Oh, how's your hand?
51:42How squishy was that hat? It was like slapping water.
51:46I almost wore a hat. It's in my car right now.
