57

Amon-Ra St. Brown

NegativeUsage50:19

Amon-Ra St. Brown has 35 targets through three weeks, placing him among the league leaders in target volume alongside JSN and Chris Olave.

Insight page

Ashton Jeanty

NegativeValue17:37

Ashton Jeanty is discussed as a potential trade piece for Jeremiah Love. The source has Jeremiah Love above both Swift and Jeanty for rest of season, suggesting Love is the preferred asset. However, the source notes this would be a close decision given that the Raiders offense might be good too.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveUsage52:00

Allen should be played over Travion Henderson this week due to volume. He's playing the Chicago Bears, a decent matchup for running backs, and has looked good. The Jets' offensive line has improved, and Allen is one of only two running backs (with Breece Hall) who have actually gotten consistent work. He's never had more than 12 carries in a game in his career but is only 22 years old in year three.

Insight page

Brian Robinson

PositiveValue2:23

Brian Robinson is only 33% rostered on Sleeper despite being a strong handcuff in a better offense than Miami. While the Washington offense isn't elite, it's significantly better than the Dolphins and Patriots (the two worst offenses). Robinson would command significant FAB if a starter went down, making him a valuable pickup at low roster percentage.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

NegativeValue26:02

The source recommends trading away Brock Purdy despite his current performance, arguing he is overperforming and will not finish as QB2 rest of season due to injuries around him at wide receiver; the strategic move is to trade him for assets to fix the rest of the roster, since quarterback can be streamed off waivers. While Purdy is an easy top-10 guy and top-5 is not outrageous, he is far more expendable than his current production suggests, and most managers are unlikely to pay number-two quarterback prices for him.

Insight page
PositiveProjection48:07

The source believes Purdy will be fantastic; he is the only quarterback in the NFL who has not been sacked one time through three weeks. While his name value doesn't match elite tier like Lamar Jackson, the source suggests showing fantasy points rather than relying on name recognition when evaluating trade value, implying his production justifies keeping him.

Insight page

Cam Sims

PositiveValue24:50

The source identifies Cam Sims (referred to as 'Cam Scadaboo' in transcript) as a player whose opportunity metrics exceed his fantasy production, making him a trade target. The source recently acquired Sims in one league, suggesting confidence in his upcoming production improvement.

Insight page
PositiveUsage59:03

Sims was a good trade-for candidate and has received consistent workload. Last week was a super rainy game where he averaged 3 yards per attempt in a 12-7 game, but he still got 20 carries and 4 targets, showing he'll get the work regardless of game script.

Insight page

Case Keenum

NegativeRole4:23

Bears coach Ben Johnson said they'll evaluate the quarterback situation this week. Case Keenum performed poorly on Monday night against Philadelphia, but the source believes Keenum will start week 4 against the Jets because you can't automatically bench a starter after one bad game without evaluation. This is separate from Caleb Williams' potential return, which is still weeks away.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

PositiveProjection12:48

CeeDee Lamb has definitively answered questions about whether he remains elite through three weeks. He's had downfield shots in multiple weeks, addressing concerns that all deep targets would go to George Pickens. Lamb has two touchdowns so far and has had a couple of near-misses on big plays (including a shoestring catch away from a 90-yard touchdown). With 26 targets through three weeks (same as Pickens), Lamb is performing at an elite level.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue23:05

Chase Brown is positioned as a top-10 fantasy running back available at a discount due to a slow start (RB14, 22, 30 through three weeks). Despite modest early production, his opportunity metrics are elite: tied for seventh in routes run, eighth in targets, ninth in total opportunities among running backs. The Bengals' historically slow offensive starts and current red-zone scarcity (six snaps inside the 20 in last two weeks, 31st in NFL vs. 10-game average) explain the production gap. The source identifies Brown as a great trade target because top-10 fantasy running backs are rarely available via trade, and bright days are coming as the Bengals' offense normalizes.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeValue32:34

Olave is mentioned as a potential trade target for Watson owners seeking to reduce injury risk; the source prefers Olave over Watson but notes uncertainty about whether Olave would be available in a trade.

Insight page
NegativeUsage50:19

Chris Olave has 36 targets through three weeks, tied for the league lead in target volume alongside JSN, and is mentioned as a potential trade target for Christian Watson.

Insight page

Christian Watson

NegativeInjury30:49

Watson is an injury risk; the source expects him to be limited or not a full participant in practice this week after potentially pulling his hand on the last play of the previous game, though it was not officially reported. The source notes concern about Watson's hamstrings and injury history.

Insight page
NegativeProjection31:34

Watson is likely a 10-touchdown guy for the season, not a 23-touchdown guy; the source suggests his touchdown pace is unsustainable and people may be overvaluing him based on his current scoring surge. Rest-of-season ranking: wide receiver 10.

Insight page
PositiveValue32:27

Watson is a trade-high candidate despite strong production; the source recommends trading him at top-tier value because his draft capital was excellent and trading him at deserved value guarantees a win regardless of future performance. The source views him as the clear wide receiver one for a team that can pass the ball.

Insight page
NegativeProjection49:00

The source identifies Watson as a trade-away candidate despite his strong early production (4 touchdowns through 3 weeks). The reasoning: Watson is on pace for 23 touchdowns and 1600+ receiving yards, but the source does not believe he will finish at that pace; he projects Watson as a top-10 receiver but not top-4, and suggests trading him for proven receivers like Chris Olave or Garrett Wilson if possible. The Packers' offensive line additions and desire to run the football more suggest reduced passing volume ahead.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeBust55:24

Loveland is going to be more hit-and-miss than desired through three weeks. The primary concern is target competition—it's unclear if he'll be the primary target or if targets will be split among Luther, Rome, and Khalif Raymond. He's not the focal point of the Bears' offense every week, unlike Trey McBride. The source hopes that after Caleb returns, things improve, but if they don't, you'll miss real bad.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

NegativeValue17:07

DeAndre Swift is the sixth running back in terms of fantasy output through three weeks. The source suggests he could be traded straight up for Jeremiah Love in some leagues, though this would be a favorable trade for the Love side given Love's top-five draft pedigree and breakout potential.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

NegativeUsage47:38

Debo Samuel caught zero passes in the most recent week but accumulated 80 receiving yards, indicating he is still generating offensive production despite limited target volume.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeProjection44:39

Metcalf is on pace for 136 targets and 550 receiving yards, which projects to wide receiver one or two production. The source notes targets support playing him, though he scored last week and the matchup against Cleveland's pass defense is not ideal for the Thursday night game.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

NegativeValue50:51

Garrett Wilson is mentioned as a potential trade target for Christian Watson, suggesting Wilson is viewed as a more reliable long-term receiver than Watson despite Watson's early touchdown pace.

Insight page

George Pickens

PositiveValue10:58

George Pickens is a trade-for candidate despite underperforming through three weeks with no touchdowns. His underlying metrics are strong: target share, targets per route run, and yards per route run are all up compared to three weeks into last season. He's had a couple of drops and hasn't had a 20-yard catch yet, but the volume is completely there. The Cowboys' upcoming schedule is the third easiest for wide receivers rest of season. The source believes Pickens can be acquired cheaper now than in a few weeks, and his good games are coming.

Insight page
NegativeProjection50:07

The source identifies Pickens as the inverse of Christian Watson: Pickens has zero touchdowns but is overproducing from a target perspective. With 29 targets through three weeks (compared to JSN's 36, Amon-Ra St. Brown's 35, and Chris Olave's 36), Pickens is generating elite target volume but has not converted it to touchdowns, suggesting touchdown regression risk or efficiency concerns.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeInjury56:18

Likely loses Jackson Dart for the rest of the year, which significantly impacts his value. The source would easily prefer Tucker Kraft over Likely in a rest-of-season comparison.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

NegativeInjury5:21

Jalen McMillan is on injured reserve for the Buccaneers. The source notes that McMillan's body does not like football and while he has flashed when on the field, those instances have been limited. This is a recurring injury concern for the player.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

NegativeUsage50:19

JSN leads the league with 36 targets through three weeks, placing him among the elite target-volume receivers alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown and Chris Olave.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeInjury7:35

Jaden Daniels would be considered limited if there was a full practice, and he's wearing a new sturdy left arm brace. This suggests he's dealing with an arm injury but is expected to play.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

NegativeInjury6:48

Jaden Reed was placed on injured reserve by the Packers with what appears to be a season-ending neck injury. According to his Instagram, Reed seems unlikely to return in the near term. This is a significant loss for the Green Bay passing game.

Insight page
PositiveInjury32:32

Reed is probably out for the year, which reduces target competition for Matthew Golden in the Packers offense.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeInjury8:16

Jalen Waddle is believed to be fine despite being seen in a walking boot on his right foot following the game. The source characterizes this as a preventative walking boot. However, the source notes that Waddle is a scary player in terms of consistency and injury history; he hasn't shown consistency since the Tyreek Hill Miami year and gets banged up frequently.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveBreakout44:04

Warren combines talent and volume and must be played. He looked amazing last week and represents one of the two players the source most wants to apologize to after three weeks, as his efficiency has exceeded expectations. With Rico Bauer out, Warren is getting everything, which makes his breakout performance make total sense.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeDepth Chart0:19

Jalen Wright was out with a foot injury and was higher on the depth chart than Ollie Gordon before the injury. The source notes uncertainty about the backfield situation between Wright and Gordon, which is a key reason for caution on spending heavily on either back.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveBreakout15:18

Jeremiah Love is a trade-for candidate and the moment is now. He's a top-five draft pick and one of the best-graded running backs heading into the NFL. The breakout is coming. He had 19.4 fantasy points on 26 opportunities last week, suggesting the usage spike is happening. He's the pass-catching back on an offense that's pretty good week to week. The Cardinals will be down in many games, which should benefit Love's usage. The source compares this to trading for Ezekiel Elliott, Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, or B.J. Robinson in their rookie seasons. He had an ankle injury in preseason, which may explain the slow start, but the usage should be sticky for a top-five draft pick.

Insight page
PositiveValue21:19

The source ranks Jeremiah Love above both D'Andre Swift and Ashton Gentry for rest of season, viewing him as a generational talent worth trading a low-end RB1 to acquire. The Cardinals offense has shown strong production (30 points vs. San Francisco, good week one vs. Chargers), and the source believes now is the time to move on Love, expecting him to finish as a top-five running back rest of season.

Insight page
PositiveValue57:06

Love is in the same tier as Zay Flowers in PPR, but the source would take Love in a trade because running back needs are more scarce and needy than wide receiver needs. Both are good, but positional scarcity favors the running back.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveBreakout14:13

The source calls Josh Downs his favorite target right now and believes he is about to break out; another speaker notes he is shipping Josh Downs in a keeper league where someone wanted a third-round pick for him, suggesting his value may rise if he stays healthy.

Insight page
NegativeValue24:50

The source identifies Josh Downs as a player whose opportunity metrics exceed his fantasy production, suggesting he is undervalued. However, the source ironically traded Downs away in their league of record, indicating some hesitation or conflicting conviction about his near-term production despite the opportunity profile.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeRole50:30

The source mentions the Packers signed two offensive linemen this week and references Josh Jacobs in the context of the team's desire to establish a run-first identity, suggesting Jacobs may see increased opportunity if the offensive line improvements take effect.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeValue35:12

Jefferson is mentioned as a potential trade comparison for Watson, with the source noting it 'sounds insane' but the transcript cuts off before completing the thought.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

PositiveRole45:27

Pitts is the one guy Watson has figured out how to target, with a clear target progression of 3, 6, 9, and 12 targets across recent weeks. When the Falcons can't pass to wide receivers, Pitts becomes the logical target option.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeValue18:16

Kyren Williams is discussed as a potential trade piece to move for Jeremiah Love. The source suggests that if you could pair Kyren with other pieces, it would be a smart move to acquire Love. The implication is that Williams is a good fantasy asset but not a generational talent like Love.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeValue3:18

Malik Nabers went for 200 on a 1000-dollar Chop League budget, reflecting long-term question marks about his rest-of-season value. The source questions what his value is in a playoff-only format given the uncertainty.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeRole50:00

Harrison received only 5 targets in week three, a huge downtick from expectations. The Cardinals' coaching staff has made a clear transition, defending his usage in press conferences but then responding on the field by giving 17 targets to Michael Wilson instead. This suggests the team is not forcing Harrison to be something he's not and may be deprioritizing him.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveSleeper31:27

Golden is a trade-for candidate; his statistical production is nearly identical to Watson's outside of touchdowns: 15 catches on 30 targets for 253 yards and 16.9 yards per catch versus Watson's 17 catches on 29 targets for 284 yards and 16.7 yards per catch. With Jaden Reed likely out for the year and Sky Moore as the slot receiver, Golden faces minimal target competition and should see increased opportunity.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveProjection49:09

Wilson is the best wide receiver on the Cardinals roster, better than Marvin Harrison, and had 17 targets last week. The source is very bullish on him finishing in the top 15-16 range if he maintains 17 targets per game. However, he will never be the number-one receiving option when Trey McBride is healthy, capping him as a best number-two.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury47:16

The source notes that if Mike Evans does not get back and get healthy, the Buccaneers will not be able to generate the same quality of plays; Jordan Watkins cannot replicate Evans' production level, making Evans' health status critical to the offense's passing game efficiency.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveValue34:03

Collins is ranked one spot higher than Watson in rest-of-season rankings, suggesting the source prefers Collins over Watson in a trade scenario.

Insight page
PositiveValue49:09

Collins is a great trade-for candidate despite dealing with a hamstring injury. He was listed as having a decent chance to return in week four and could be acquired at a discount. As the Texans' number-one receiving option, he represents a tier above Michael Wilson and is worth the wait if you can withstand victories long enough to acquire him.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon II

NegativeValue0:08

Ollie Gordon, a sixth-round draft pick, went for over 80 FAB in multiple leagues despite playing for the second-worst offense (Miami Dolphins). The source expresses skepticism about the price, noting it's a season-ending injury bet on an offense they don't love; the speaker bid only 25 FAB and wouldn't go hard for the Miami offense. While Gordon was a prolific collegiate back and three-down player, the uncertainty around his role versus Jalen Wright (who was higher on the depth chart before a foot injury) and the weak offensive situation make the 80+ FAB spend questionable.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeValue2:48

Puka Nakua went for over 500 FAB in a Chop League (playoff-only format), which the source calls a scary spend. The concern is that if he doesn't play this week and the team loses in the Chop League, it becomes a bad buy. He's probably not playing this week, adding to the risk of the high spend.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

NegativeBust42:39

Judkins ranks 35th in yards per carry, 35th in rush success rate, and 35th in yards before contact—essentially the worst starting running back in the sample of 36. Despite being a better talent, he's entering a don't-mess-around-with category due to the Titans' offensive line limitations. He received 18 carries and 20 total opportunities against Carolina but must sheer volume his way to top-24 production, with touchdowns providing the only path to consistent fantasy value.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

PositiveRole5:48

Ted Hurst continues to get 70+ percent of the snaps for the Buccaneers. The source picked him up in their League of Record and notes he'll get opportunities, especially with Jalen McMillan on injured reserve.

Insight page

Treylon Burks

NegativeUsage50:27

Treylon Burks (referred to as 'Golden' in the transcript) has more targets than Christian Watson on the season but only one touchdown, making him statistically comparable to Watson in volume but far behind in scoring.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeRole33:54

Craft is getting acclimated to the Packers offense and could be a destination for some of the touchdowns that Watson has been accumulating, potentially reducing Watson's touchdown upside.

Insight page
PositiveValue55:24

Kraft is on the uptick and should be kept over Colson Loveland. The target consolidation in Green Bay and Jaden Reed's injury create limited options, making Kraft's role clearer. The source would turn down a trade offer of Loveland for Kraft, preferring to stay with Kraft rather than chase a home run with Loveland, who may be hit-and-miss.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveBreakout57:06

Flowers has looked electric this year with a special season vibe, being used differently in the Ravens' offense. The source is getting Antonio Brown vibes from his usage and performance, though there's slight hesitation about the year of Mike Lafleur. Flowers is in the same tier as Jeremiah Love but the source would take the running back due to positional scarcity.

0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore and Mike Wright.
0:05Welcome in! We're over here reacting to all the waivers.
0:08I need more tight ends! It's not fair! We're in a bunch of leagues and the Ollie Gordon Express took place.
0:15Holy moly! I mean, every league I'm in he's going for over 80 fab, which to me is insane.
0:21Maybe, look it's tough out there in the streets and you want the Dolphins running game.
0:26You would if it was HN out there, obviously.
0:29Of course. And we believe in HN now. Ollie Gordon, he was a prolific...
0:33And not HN. He was a prolific collegiate running back.
0:37Sure! He's a three down kind of guy. Sure he was!
0:40All I'm saying is, I was trying to think of like...
0:44Also a what, a seventh round running back? Well, let me ask you this.
0:48If... The pros loved him. Well, okay. Was he seventh round?
0:52Let me double check. Double check my work. I remember he was definitely talked up and then fell.
0:57Sixth round, I apologize. Sixth round. Much different. Let me ask you this though.
1:02If Brees Hall was out for the year and Braylon Allen is on the waiver wire for the Jets.
1:08Right. Braylon Allen goes for more than 82, right?
1:11Yeah. We should probably go right around there. Now the part, the problem part of the...
1:16And Isaiah Davis will get work this week. Yeah.
1:19With the Jets. Part of the problem I think is not everybody is aligned on Ollie Gordon V Jalen Wright.
1:25Correct. Correct. And we are not 100% certain about that situation.
1:29Jalen Wright was out with a foot injury, higher on the depth chart, Ollie Gordon.
1:33They talk well of him. I've always liked the film.
1:37But then I think the unknown, that's why I'm not...
1:40Yes. That's why on the show yesterday, I'm like, I'm not dropping 80 on a player on the worst offense.
1:46Well, second worst offense, New England, what up? I think it is 100% because it's a season ending injury bet.
1:52Yeah. I get it. Like, I'm not saying it's worth 82.
1:56I didn't bid that. You know what I mean?
1:59A lot of people did. Like, I had H in.
2:02I bid 25. My bid was 25 in the league.
2:05I had H in. I wasn't willing to go hard in the paint there for the Miami offense necessarily, but I'm just
2:12trying to think of the rest of the season.
2:15There's only a handful of not rostered players. Most of the backups are rostered that aren't available out there.
2:21Like the high prolific big time names that are, you know, the Emmitt Johnson, right?
2:26Oh, sure. Like, I mean, obviously if, if Ken Walker went out there, it went out and Emmitt Johnson's on waiver.
2:33That's a hundred dollar fab. That'd be a full fab dump.
2:36But it's like the guys where you, you feel confident that they would take over and that they would be very usable.
2:43Like Brian Robinson. I mean, I don't know what his roster percentage is, but I have to imagine it's in the high 80s, low 90s.
2:51Brian Robinson would go for a ton. That's not an offense we love either.
2:55But he's not as good as, as better than the, as B.
2:59John. It's better than the Dolphins. You know, who's not better than the Dolphins?
3:04You know, who's scored fewer points than the Dolphins?
3:07Oh man, Brian Robinson's roster is way low. The Patriots.
3:10I would. The Patriots are the only team that scored fewer points than the Dolphins this year.
3:15You guys should pick up Brian Robinson. He's 33% rostered on Sleeper.
3:19You guys being our listeners? Yes. Not just the two people you're sitting across.
3:24Certainly not us. He's rostered in our league. He's rostered in our league, yeah.
3:28So yeah, a lot of, you know, our Chop League, we, we had big money spent on Puka Nakua, which is a scary spend.
3:36He went for over 500, right? Scary spend for Chopped because anytime there, you know, it's like if you then don't get
3:43him this week and lose in our Chopped, it was a bad, bad buy.
3:47Yeah, I mean, he's probably, he's probably not playing this week, but another, like in our Chop League, a lot of players
3:54that went this week were players with long-term question marks like Malik Nabors.
3:58What's he worth in a Chop League? Oh man.
4:01Because what is he rest of season? He ended up going for 200 on a thousand dollar budget, which.
4:07If double nines can take care of it. Oh my gosh.
4:11Double nines. Yeah. Because he's 18 now. Yeah. Talking about McCarthy.
4:14Oh, I didn't see that. Is that his number?
4:17Uh-huh. With 18. Oh, yeah. You thought nine was good?
4:20Just wait. Yeah. The second time. Yeah, that's... Times two.
4:23That's why we, we have a trade oriented show today.
4:27We're going to talk about some trade for trade away players on today's episode.
4:31We'll preview the Thursday night game, jump into the mailbag as well.
4:35News to catch you up on. Um, let's start there.
4:38News and notes from around the league. Bears coach Ben Johnson said, we'll see how it plays out this week.
4:44When asked about who will start at quarterback in week four, the Bears play the Jets this week.
4:50Has, it has to be that way. You can't have Case Keenum perform the way that he did on a Monday night
4:57against the Philadelphia Eagles and just automatically throw secret Bajit man in there as your backup.
5:02Secret Bajit man. You have to at least evaluate something.
5:05Yeah, so this was not in the context of the potential return for Caleb because that's still weeks away.
5:11Correct. So yeah, if I, if I'm the Bears, there's no way I don't play Case Keenum this week.
5:18I would be shocked if that's not the decision.
5:20And... Yeah, go ahead. I would say, I would probably put Keenum out there, but the, the percentage chance that Case Keenum
5:27goes out for this game and it is the worst thing that you've ever seen.
5:32Not, not impossible. Not impossible. And the Jets are, they're playing okay.
5:36Jalen McMillan on injured reserve for the Buccaneers. This dude's body does not like football.
5:41No. So yeah, unfortunately... He's flashed a few times when he's been on the field, but that's also been a few times.
5:48Yeah, so Ted Hurst, he continues to get 70 plus percent of the snaps.
5:52I picked him up in League of Record. He, uh, he'll get opportunities.
5:56We, we won't have Baker. You traded him to me.
6:00Did you click the button? I'm about to. I was wondering if you'd do that.
6:04Um, you, because you have too many tight ends.
6:07Yes. Nobody's stupid. Nobody's been outraged at this level.
6:10I need more tight ends. Jason is trying to, he's trying to keep four plus tight ends on his roster.
6:16Our league, which nobody knew. Apparently Andy might've known this.
6:20No one else in our league knew that we had roster limits.
6:23We've literally had the conversation before on the show that you shouldn't have limitations on transactions and who you like to me, it's stupid.
6:31I'm going to bring it to a vote is dumb, but apparently I have found out that we do in our League of Record.
6:39Um, you can only have a maximum of three tight ends and I want more.
6:44Honestly, I want five in today's NFL. I mean, so what is the trade happen?
6:48I'm not. Yeah. I, I, I literally went to, um, make a transaction and put a wide receiver in and it said, Oh, I'm over the limit.
6:57I have four tight ends, which I mean, what was the trade?
7:01Uh, the trade was I needed to get rid of them.
7:04So I traded Darren Waller for $1 of fab and Ted, which yeah, to, to your point of us putting a cap
7:11on how many you can have, who would you rather play this week?
7:15Exactly. Darren Waller by a billion. Yeah. Darren Waller or Tyler Higby.
7:19I look, I have no problem with changing that rule.
7:22I just, it's been funny because it's been back to back weeks where you like you signed three tight ends or whatever
7:29you, you talked about this last week and then you're like, Oh, what, what happened?
7:34I can't do it again. Honestly, I assumed that the sleeper system would not let me pick up more than the limit.
7:41If the limit is three, it wouldn't let me pick up a fourth.
7:45I think that's, I think that's fair. And if we need to change it so you can stockpile your future.
7:52There's so many out there. I want the funniest part is I think two sets of your tight ends.
7:58Aren't they like, well, I got Higby and Ferguson combo.
8:01Yeah. Ferguson and Parkinson too. And just, and Alan don't tip me with a good time.
8:06Go full Rams. I mean, the NFL is not putting a limit on the Rams.
8:11Right. Oh, okay. Tell me I can't play. Oh, five personnel.
8:14Oh, I love this. I don't love this news though.
8:17Packers placing Jaden Reed on injured reserve. He tweeted 11 out.
8:21It looks like it's indefinite to season ending. We don't know for certain, but that's a neck injury.
8:27It was serious. And Jaden Reed, at least according to his Instagram, seems like he's not going to be here for the near term at all.
8:35It'll be interesting because we're going to talk about some players on today's trade episode, uh, trade segment that relate to the green Bay situation.
8:43So we'll, we'll save it. We all say stupid stuff sometimes.
8:46Yeah, we do. Mike, that's a good point. You would know better than most.
8:51I will. I will just letting you know, like, you don't have to say something stupid today.
8:56I'm not going to say anything stupid. Okay. I'm going to say something tempered and well, we'll ask the people.
9:03So I'll say something stupid. Perfect. Dan Quinn said, you're going to read Andy's trade away.
9:08If don't take it personally, there's context to trade.
9:11Okay. Jaden Daniels would be considered limited if it was a full practice today.
9:15I saw a picture of him. He's got a new, a sturdy left arm brace.
9:20Oh yeah. Huh? Something you could have been doing this whole time.
9:24Rashad white dealing with a shoulder injury, receiving treatment for it.
9:27They signed Austin Eckler. And then Jalen Waddle is quote believed to be fine despite being seen in a walking boot on his right foot following the game.
9:36Classic preventative walking boot. Yeah. I mean, it didn't work out well for the coker walking boot.
9:42Yeah. Uh, I guess it was a different injury.
9:44I don't know, but preventative walking boots, put them all in a minute.
9:49If that's the case, if we need to keep these feet safe.
9:52Yeah. I mean, just armor up like these guys during the week, you know, does anyone have Monday through Saturday and in
9:59full Iron Man gear business proposal for you guys?
10:02Yeah. Designer walking boots. Oh, designer. Yeah. Oh, because when they're coming down like on game day and they're in their swag.
10:09When you got the big one where it's like all these Velcro straps that you like.
10:14Yeah. That's ugly. Yeah. That's medical grade. That's not Nike.
10:18Where are you at? Seriously. Nike needs to put a swoosh on that.
10:22No, not Nike. I just gave you the proposal.
10:25Oh, I'm going to create my own brand. We're starting it.
10:28Nike's got to buy this from us. Yes. We just patent pending.
10:32You thinking bedazzled? What are you thinking? I mean, some of them.
10:36Patent leather? Yeah. We're icing them out for sure.
10:39That would change my perspective. I was like, yeah, he looks hurt, but he looks cool.
10:44He looks... Jalen Waddell, I do... He's the only player where fine can correlate to already being hurt.
10:49So we'll see what happens there. The Waddell situation, he should be okay, but he's kind of a scary dude in terms of...
10:57We haven't seen consistency from Waddell since the Tyreek Hill Miami year.
11:01Right. Even though we know how good he is, it's kind of a weird thing and he gets banged up.
11:07But, okay, any other news coming through? I do want to let people know we have some news on our site.
11:14Yes, we do. Like if you're an ultimate Foot Clan member, for the first time ever, we have Dynasty startup rankings available in season.
11:21And not only that, and they're frequently updated, they're used in our trade analyzer, which has Dynasty specific trade advice.
11:28But there's also a new option and I'm so...
11:30Oh, this is so cool. So happy about this.
11:33Because people want to know, and this has been the story of our show forever, that context matters.
11:39Your league mates, what your plan is in a Dynasty league.
11:43Not all rankings are made equal. And so we now have an adjustable bar at the top of the Dynasty rankings that
11:50you can drag from win now all the way to long term and everything in between.
11:55We have a balanced setting, a win now setting and a long term setting.
11:59So it adjusts the rankings based on your actual goals as a Dynasty team.
12:04So we've never had, we've always had Dynasty startup rankings in the UDK plus in the Dynasty past during the off season.
12:11They're now available year round and you can drag that bar to adjust your plan.
12:15So if you're evaluating a trade and you want to look independently, you're going to see who we think are win now players versus long term assets.
12:24So super excited about that. That's all part of the Foot Clan.
12:28Just, we just added it in there yesterday. Team's been working on it with us and the rankings are up there.
12:35Join the foot.com if you want access to it.
12:37It is only a part of the ultimate because that's where the Dynasty pass lives.
12:42That's where the season long stuff is. So if you want to upgrade or you want to jump in there, super cool.
12:49We talked about it a good bit on the today's Dynasty pod and just gave us some examples so you can check that out.
12:57Yeah, no, it's, it's super helpful. Let's talk some trades.
13:00Let's talk trades. Well, this should be fun. And I, I'm open to full on discussion around these players, disagreement, all of that stuff.
13:08Three weeks in, good opportunity to kind of get a lay of the land.
13:12Players that might be outperforming, you know, a reasonable, you know, touchdown number or something to that nature.
13:18Guys that we are choosing as trade for candidates and then players that we're choosing as trade away candidates after three weeks.
13:25So, uh, Mike, why don't you kick it off with the trade for player?
13:29Sure. That's on your list. So the, the trade for, we're trying to find players that we believe are underperforming.
13:36And I would like to highlight Mr. George Pickens of the Dallas Cowboys.
13:40Cause it's just the, the huge game hasn't happened.
13:43I mean, last week was much better. 11 targets, seven for 82.
13:46Like that's a very usable game. We're, we're happy about that.
13:50But the first couple of weeks it was, it was down, even though the Cowboys are still putting up points.
13:56But you looking at the, like behind the scenes metrics, the numbers are actually very good for, for George Pickens, his target
14:03share, his targets per route run, his yards per route run.
14:07Those are all up compared to three weeks into the season for, for last year for the Dallas Cowboys.
14:13It's just that the production is lagging a little bit, you know, no touchdowns.
14:17George Pickens is going to start scoring touchdowns. If it's like, like it will bounce back.
14:22And so he just, the volume is, is still completely there for him.
14:27The schedule. I mean, the upcoming schedule is actually fantastic for him.
14:30Uh, Dallas faces, uh, Dallas wide receivers as of right now face the third easiest rest of season schedule that of course,
14:37rest of season is a little bit tricky right now.
14:41Cause it'll keep a job of data. But the early outlook is it's going to be great for the Dallas passing game.
14:48And CD lamb, you're not gonna be able to trade for CD lamb cause he's been performing.
14:53But if you still want a piece of that Dallas passing offense, then George Pickens, I think you can get him cheaper
15:00than he is going to be in just a couple of weeks.
15:04I think you can get him cheaper than what the perceived value of them was before the season two.
15:10I think, I think maybe there's been a tier change in people's minds.
15:14I don't mind the suggestion at all. I will say the only thing that I think has been definitive through three weeks
15:21that was a question in people's minds with the pick and selection was, is whether is CD lamb still the dude?
15:28Is he still that guy? Is he still elite?
15:31I think we've had that answer pretty definitively in three weeks that, you know, one of the concerns that I had around
15:38CD lamb as somebody who has them on his roster was that this team would kind of do with CD lamb.
15:44What the Arizona Cardinals eventually did with Larry Fitzgerald, which is you had players that came in John Brown, Steve Breston, they
15:51became downfield threats and you saw underneath as kind of the prime, like you stopped, they stopped going deep to Larry after a while.
15:59Sure. My biggest worry was like, are we going to get all bombs go to pickings and all underneath goes to lamb.
16:06Lamb's had the downfield shots in multiple weeks. So I was happy to see that as a lamb manager, but I think
16:13with the zero touchdown numbers, what jumps out and that's going to change.
16:17And targets CD lamb, um, 26 George pickings 25.
16:20Yeah. I mean, it's, it's really, everything is neck and neck between the two of them.
16:25Lamb has just been, I George pickings had a couple nasty drops.
16:29And then this past week CD lamb had that, uh, the, like the freebie reminiscent of, of a championship week a couple
16:36of years ago where the Cowboys are back on what they're.
16:39Oh yeah. He almost had like a 90 yard.
16:42He was a shoestring away from, but like that hit, that hit for CD lamb that hasn't hit yet for George pickings.
16:49And it's definitely going to lamb has a couple touchdowns so far.
16:53Yes. And, uh, yeah, no, I, I think pickings is nothing on the field tells me pickings.
16:59Isn't one B. I saw a tweet that was talking about the most missed opportunities so far in the league and who's
17:06basically underperforming the expectation based on the opportunities they've received.
17:09And it was a list of a bunch of bad players, which makes sense.
17:13Like, oh, they've gotten opportunities. They've failed. And then there was George pickings who is not a bad player at all.
17:20And he was leading, you know, he he's the largest gap.
17:23So I think this is a good, uh, trade for candidate.
17:27His good games are coming. He is not the archetype of a every week, consistent player at the end of the year.
17:34You're going to have a handful of bad games.
17:37Remember last year at the end of the year, it was unfortunate timing.
17:41I think it was fantasy playoffs or right before it was like he had a couple games in a row where, oh, he just disappeared.
17:49Oh, his effort is, you know, it's like he will have bad games and he will also probably finish the year as the wide receiver 15 or better.
17:58And so if he hasn't had those games yet, they're coming.
18:01I like, I like trading for him last year.
18:04He never had a three game stretch where he didn't have a 20 yard catch.
18:09And that's how he started the year. He hasn't had the big play yet.
18:13So, you know, that's kind of wild. Three games in George pickings doesn't have a 20 yard catch.
18:19He's had tons of opportunities. Oh, yeah. And he's also had a couple passenger, uh, interference penalties.
18:25Oh, George is amazing. He and Matthew golden just drawn P eyes.
18:28Yeah. Yeah, no, he's good at that. Uh, I think we all agree that pickings is a nice target right now.
18:35You can get them at a value that will not be the same in a few weeks.
18:40So we'll take a quick break and come back with a couple more trade for candidates, Jason and myself, and then we'll get into some tradeaways.
18:49All right. Coming back into our, uh, trade talk segment, Mike sharing George pickings as his trade for candidate.
18:55And I am going to bring up Jeremiah love.
18:58I think Jeremiah love the moment is now the time is now.
19:01Uh, if you had the opportunity in years past to pick up a Zekia Elliott in week three of his rookie season
19:08or Saquon Barkley or Christian McCaffrey, uh, B John Robinson, this is your moment with Jeremiah love.
19:14And so I think you would only have hesitation.
19:17This is a top five draft pick. This is one of the greatest best graded what, uh, running backs that we've seen heading into the NFL.
19:25And you're sitting here three weeks into the season and the breakout is coming.
19:30The big play is coming and it's on an offense.
19:33That's pretty darn good on a week to week basis.
19:36Like the Cardinals defenses like every metric metric is terrible.
19:39Yes. They're going to be down in a ton of ball games.
19:43Jeremiah love is the past catching back. Jeremiah love got 19.
19:46He had 19.4 fancy points and 26 opportunities last week.
19:50You could argue that it happened. The usage. It basically happened last week, which was, it was surprising the way that they handled the first two weeks.
19:58Oh, this was like a concerted, like we just made this decision and it's happening.
20:03Yeah. It felt like, Oh boy, here we go.
20:06The Cardinals are just going to be as stupid as possible with their, with their draft pick.
20:11They paid Tyler Algier. Now it is Jeremiah love, you know, it's seems like forever ago.
20:16Now he did have the ankle injury in preseason.
20:19So perhaps that the plan was just a, Hey, we're going to make sure he's healthy and ready to go.
20:26So usage, this usage spike in week three, this should be sticky like for, for the top five draft pick.
20:32You gotta, you have to do this. I think there, I think there's some interesting trades that I know you could get done.
20:39I don't know if you would say yes or no to them, but I would be looking at like some of these players that maybe are out.
20:48Like, would you trade Deandre Swift straight up for Jeremiah love?
20:51Yeah. So Deandre Swift is the sixth running back right now in terms of fantasy output.
20:56So that trade on paper, I think you might be able to get done depending on the league that you're in.
21:03But you know, would you trade Ashton Gentry for Jeremiah love?
21:07That may be as a bigger conversation, but I think it would be wise.
21:11I think I would. I think that would be a smart one, man.
21:15Now I don't, I don't, I have Gentry above, or I'm sorry.
21:19I have Jeremiah love above both Swift and Gentry for rest of the season.
21:24Yeah. I don't think I would. I mean, I, I, you know, it's like the Cardinals offense might be good, but the Raiders offense might be good too.
21:32Yeah. I think that that one's really, really close for sure.
21:36Um, but if you could go take Kyron, Kyron is the name and put other pieces with it.
21:42I think Kyron is the, is the perfect name where I would, I would move Kyron or tootin to Jeremiah love.
21:48I mean, you know, they're in good situations. They're good fantasy assets.
21:52They aren't some sort of generational talent. That's what Jeremiah love is.
21:56So if you don't have an absolute top tier fantasy back, if you've got a really good fantasy back, a low end
22:03RB one, I think you try to take the chance that Jeremiah love is a top five running back rest of season and, and in trade form.
22:12Um, but I also view like that is what I think Ashton Gentry is as well.
22:17Yeah. I, I think love, I think your time is now to move on Jeremiah love.
22:22And I think the Cardinals will be in a lot of games at the offense.
22:27We saw them move it. They put up 30 against San Francisco last week.
22:31They had a good week one against the chargers.
22:34They slowed down against Seattle's defense. That's not too everybody surprising.
22:37I mean, Washington didn't, but no, everybody, but Marcus Mariota, of course.
22:41Um, but yeah, I, I think that this is the moment for, for Jeremiah love.
22:46If you can, if you can take advantage and maybe this last week doesn't let you do it, but that's my target.
22:53Yeah. I'm going to go with a back that's in, I think the same tier.
22:58I wouldn't trade him for Jeremiah love, but I would trade for him because he is coming off of a down week.
23:05Uh, and that is chase Brown. Chase Brown has gotten off to a decently slow start.
23:10He was running back 14, 22, 30. He's not been bad.
23:13Nope. Just, but he good. Yeah, but he hasn't been great yet.
23:17However, the opportunity is completely there. He's tied for seventh in routes wrong among running backs.
23:22He's eighth and targets. He's ninth and total opportunities.
23:25And the bangles for some reason, I don't know.
23:28They always, every year get off to a slow start.
23:31This happened last year with chase Brown with the bangles.
23:34I mean, it happens every year. I think extremely bright days are coming for chase Brown.
23:40What we know is he is the dude for this team.
23:43Yes. He is talented. He's getting all the work.
23:46And this is an offense we want a part of.
23:49There's just been some weird outlier stuff. Here's, here's just some crazy thing.
23:53That's just happenstance. It's just randomness. Cincinnati has six total snaps inside the 20 yard line in the last two weeks combined.
24:00That is 31st in the NFL. And for context, the NFL average, the average team gets 10 a game and they have
24:07six in the last two weeks combined. That's where fantasy points are scored.
24:11And so, um, I, I just think he is one of these guys.
24:16It's like, he's a top 10 fantasy running back and he, and you're not going to have to pay most top 10 fantasy running backs.
24:23You just can't acquire. You just can't like there.
24:26People aren't willing to let go of them. I think right now you can make a trade for chase Brown and last year in the league of record.
24:35Cause I went to look for chase Brown. He was on Mike's team.
24:39Yeah, that's correct. From your cold dead hands. I'm sure.
24:43Yeah. So, you know, to me, I think he is, um, a great trade for Canada and I'll just throw out quickly
24:50two other names that I think the opportunity is beyond what the fantasy production has been Cam Scadaboo who I just traded
24:57for in one league and Josh Downs who I just ironically traded away in league of record.
25:02I think those two guys have, um, downs is like my favorite target right now.
25:07Yeah. So the opportunity ahead appears really, really good for both of those players too.
25:12Yeah. I, I think, I think Josh Downs is about to cook and I, Jason had sent some offers out.
25:18He he he's not, I'm playing for next year acquiring to win.
25:22And so he's shipping and shopping Josh Downs. And I was like, he wanted like a, a third round pick in our
25:29league, our keeper league, but you can't trade above a second.
25:32And a third is it's pretty good. And, and I was like, man, I, I can't do that right now, but I bet you could get it.
25:41And I bet even in a couple of weeks, if the value might go up if he stays healthy, but uh, no, I love that one.
25:49Absolutely. Now let's talk about trade away players. Mike, why don't you kick us off?
25:54All right. The player I'm looking to trade away, and this is not a necessarily an over performer where I'm like, I gotta get out.
26:02Um, it's Brock Purdy. And I only bring him.
26:05Oh, you did say you were going to say stupid stuff.
26:08I don't mind this. I don't know. Your, your argument for this guy is the same argument I'm going to have for my guy.
26:16No. So you understand. Right. But my argument for Brock Purdy is that there are other teams who are desperate for quarterback
26:23and they, I think they might have big eyes where like, if you have, you know, we've brought it up, but Drake
26:30may Herbert, or you have one of the injured guys.
26:33My recommendation for the most part would just be figure it out streaming off of the waiver wire because players are there.
26:40Matchups are there to be had. We have a weekly segment, uh, every single week, but that's not how everyone likes to play fantasy football.
26:48Some people just want to have their stud quarterback.
26:51And I think that you can trade Brock Purdy, get a bunch, and then you can still be okay at the quarterback position.
26:58That's, that's where I think he truly is overperforming.
27:01He's not, he's not going to be the number two quarterback rest of season.
27:06Let's put it that way. I like he's not with the amount of injuries they have at the wide receiver position.
27:12Brock Purdy is an easy, to me, an easy top 10 guy.
27:16Top five is not outrageous to me. I like, I, I really like Brock Purdy.
27:21I just think that this is a good strategic move with what has happened to the quarterback landscape, fix the rest of
27:28your roster for a position that you can more easily replace off of the waiver wire.
27:33I just don't know if people like we see Brock Purdy as a, an elite quarterback.
27:38He's, he is great. I don't think most people do.
27:41I mean, you look at where he was in drafts before the season.
27:45I'm not sure people are going to pay up like in general, what you're saying, I agree with he's the, he's the quarterback too.
27:53He's not going to finish as a quarterback too.
27:56He's got injuries around him. He's far more expendable to me.
27:59I agree with that. I just don't know that a manager might want to anybody is paying number two quarterback prices for Brock Purdy.
28:07Also it's worth noting. They got positive news, but Trent Williams, when, when Trent Williams, they're all generational left tackle went down.
28:14And I was like, Oh, trade, trade away. These guys, he had a neck stinger.
28:19It was checked out. It's not serious. He should be back.
28:22But at the same time, he's dealt with that a few times.
28:26He's missed games for that before. So, um, that would be very scary.
28:30I mean, you know, all of their injuries. I mean, they don't have any wide receivers left.
28:36If Mike Evans does not get back and get healthy at some point that does come to call.
28:41You're not going to get the same plays out of Jordan Watkins that you're going to get out of Mike Evans.
28:48Um, and so I'm just agreeing with you that like, I think Purdy's going to be fantastic.
28:54Like Kittle's there. Yeah. And, and Debo's there who caught zero passes this last week.
28:58How dare you? But he had 80 yards. He was receiving yards.
29:02Um, yeah. Purdy's the only quarterback in the NFL that has not been sacked one time.
29:07He's a, he is a very good quarterback. And you could be right, Jay, that the value name wise.
29:13He doesn't, he's not Lamar. He's not one of those types of players, but it'd get into the negotiations.
29:19Show the, show the fantasy points. I don't know.
29:22I feel like you can sell Brock Purdy and be all right.
29:26I, the name that Mike says is stupid to bring up in this segment is I get both sides of it.
29:33Is currently the wide receiver for in fantasy. And Mike, of course, is going to take this personally because this is Mike's my guy.
29:40Cause I said, draft him. He's going to be awesome.
29:44And he's been awesome. So trade him away. So Christian Watson is look trading in fantasy is all about value.
29:50It's about what do you get for the player?
29:53And do I believe that Christian Watson is going to score 23 touchdowns?
29:57Oh no. Do you? I don't think. No, no, no, no.
30:00He's on pace for 23 touchdowns. Do I think he passes 1600 receiving years?
30:05Maybe. I don't think that's going to happen. Um, near a hundred catches.
30:09I don't think that's going to happen. Now I could.
30:12My point with the trade away candidate of Christian Watson is not, you trade at all costs.
30:18It's the same argument you just made with Brock Purdy.
30:21It is trade. If you have the opportunity to take advantage of where he's positioned, he has four touchdowns through three weeks.
30:28You have a team that has not been able to run the football that would like the identity of this team to be able to run the football.
30:37I think they signed two different offensive linemen this week.
30:40We'll see what happens with Josh Jacobs. I think Watson is he the number four overall receiver at the end of the year?
30:47I think there's no chance of that. Is he top 10?
30:51Probably. But if I can go out and I can turn Christian Watson into Chris Olave in a trade, if I can
30:58turn Christian Watson into Garrett Wilson in a trade, those are situations.
31:02And I might even get a little bit more depending on the names that you pick there.
31:07That's something I'm going to look into because I think he's the inverse of Pickens right now.
31:12Like Pickens has no touchdowns. He is overproducing. For a target perspective, like you look at the top players in fantasy right
31:19now, target wise, 36 for JSN, 35 for Amon Ross St.
31:23Brown, 36 for Chris Olave. Watson's at 29. It's not a bad number.
31:27Golden has more targets than he does on the season.
31:30And Golden has one touchdown. From a statistical standpoint, they're pretty comparable.
31:34He's just scored four times. And he's going to score a lot of touchdowns.
31:39He's probably going to be a 10-touchdown guy. I don't think he's a 23-touchdown guy.
31:43So I'm just saying you may be able to take advantage of this window where everyone's bought in.
31:49He is an injury risk. He just is. That's just the nature of Christian Watson.
31:54If I could get out of Christian Watson for a less injury risk player, maybe Olave is not the answer to that question.
32:01He could currently be injured. Like, I was pulling up the Packers practice report.
32:06I'm going to be surprised if I see full participant this week for Christian Watson.
32:10And hopefully he is. I think Mike mentioned it at the end of yesterday's show.
32:15But it was like, the last play of the game, he kind of looked like he pulled his hand me a little.
32:22But it was not reported. You know, who knows?
32:25Maybe it's absolutely nothing. We just are always worried about Christian Watson's hamstrings.
32:29I love Christian Watson. He looks like he's going to be the clear wide receiver one for a team that can pass the ball.
32:37He is always good for fantasy points when he's on the field.
32:41I want him on my team. If I had him on my team, I would be trying to trade high.
32:47Because it's not, you know, Mike, you loved where he was in the draft.
32:51You thought he was going to be great. He's been great.
32:55He's been a great pick. You know, succeed on your mind guy.
32:59If you then trade him at the value that he deserves, if you're trading him at a top tier value, it's a guaranteed win.
33:06Your draft pick was a great pick no matter what, even if he does well.
33:11Can I just, I'll just like jackknife a trade four candidate in there.
33:15I think Matthew Golden is a trade four candidate.
33:18I totally agree. If you look at the numbers outside of touchdowns exclusively, they're almost identical seasons for these two players.
33:2517 catches on 29 targets for Watson for 284 yards.
33:2815 catches on 30 targets for 253 yards for Golden.
33:31They're very similar production. They're being used in similar ways down the field.
33:35Their yards per catch, 16.9 for Golden, 16.7 for Watson.
33:39Go trade for Golden if people don't buy in.
33:41They were burned all rookie year. Golden, I think, is a great one.
33:46Because Watson is, we're soaring with the Eagles. With Christian Watson, people may not realize how close Matthew Golden is.
33:52The target share is going to be split. Now you have Jaden Reed probably out for the year.
33:58Yeah, Sky Moore. Yeah, so now it's Sky Moore as the slot wide receiver.
34:02Yeah, it's crazy. That concerns me even less than Jaden Reed when it comes to a target competition.
34:08Where I am at with... I think the touchdowns may start to, sorry, to just say, like Tucker Craft getting acclimated to
34:15the offense, that could be where some touchdowns end up.
34:18It's the... Where it's difficult for me is, like, if you guys want to look at your rest of season, like I
34:25have Watson right now at wide receiver 10, rest of year.
34:29So it's like there's not a... Not a lot of room.
34:32There's not a lot of room. Olave, maybe. No, I mean, definitely I'd prefer Olave.
34:37I don't know if you'd be able to get him.
34:40Would you trade Watson for Nico Collins? No. Ooh.
34:43No, I would not. So I have Nico one spot higher in rest of season rankings.
34:48Would you trade Devontae Adams? Would you trade him for Devontae Adams?
34:52Oh, I would prefer Christian Watson. Jefferson? Jefferson is the...
34:55That was the name I was going to bring up where it's like...
34:59It sounds insane at the... It would even bring up the discussion, but just truly think about it.
35:05Like, where the Minnesota Vikings are... We still have no evidence of Kyler Murray being able to get it done for Justin Jefferson.
35:12We know how bad it can go for Jefferson if they don't have proper quarterback play.
35:17Yeah, the second week for Jefferson was not good with no proper quarterback play.
35:22Would you trade... If somebody sent you an offer right now, Mike, do you have Christian Watson anywhere?
35:28In a couple spots, yeah. Somebody sent you an offer for Puka Nakua?
35:32Oh, man. You would have to take that. I mean, you would probably want to take it, but you could find out tomorrow he's having surgery.
35:40I thought that was maybe the most agonizing question I could ask.
35:44Puka is... What do you even do? Puka's the hardest one.
35:47I don't know. Because Puka could go out this week.
35:50Or he could play this week. That's what I mean.
35:54I'm saying he could play this week and you're like, okay, everything is in the...
35:5864 targets. It's in the mirror. Puka's still great for the Rams.
36:02Not a crazy question. All right. Let's say... Now let's make Puka the trade-away candidate.
36:07I'll give it. Would you... If you had Puka, would you trade him away right now for Parker Washington?
36:13No. I was looking at them in my rest of the season rankings.
36:17These are the kind of sound bites that come back on Twitter in six weeks.
36:22I have Parker at 11. I got Parker at 7.
36:25Oh, dude. I have Parker at 7 as well.
36:28Behind Puka by 1. Same. Yeah. I mean, would you trade Puka for Zay Flowers?
36:33Might. Ah! I feel like Puka, the answer to this question, if you have Puka, hold him.
36:38If he's somewhere else, don't trade for him. I feel like that's the recipe for Puka.
36:43How much risk do you want to take? Flowers has his own hamstring risk.
36:48Puka could win you the year. And that's the thing is that to win a championship, you usually need...
36:54I was talking about this with Andy this morning.
36:57So in our main Dynasty League where Mike is the champion there as well, he has a sensational team.
37:03I've got a very, very good team. I lost two of my three running backs.
37:08But I look at my team and I've got a lot of really good players.
37:12I've got Olave and I've got London, Rushy Rice, Devontae Smith.
37:16But I don't have the guys that are going to go out there and put up 30 points in back-to-back weeks in the playoffs.
37:23Like a Jamar Chase, a JSN, or a Puka.
37:26I just remembered last year's playoffs. I'm sorry. But it's like those players, when it comes...
37:31Like, I'm going to make the playoffs great. But once you're there, do you have those nuclear players?
37:37Do you need a Josh Allen or a Jameer Gibbs or a JSN or a Brock Bowers?
37:43You have to have some of those guys. And so trading...
37:46Puka is such a trade-for-trade-away conundrum. Because right now...
37:49He's your biggest bat in either direction. Yeah. And honestly, sometimes when you're playing fantasy, you've got to think about just pure upside.
37:56And there is not much higher upside than Puka.
37:59And if you could trade for Puka right now and then it turns out he doesn't get surgery, people are afraid of
38:06surgery, and you turn Christian Watson into Puka, that could be a championship type of move.
38:11But it is a gamble. I disagree with one of the guys you said.
38:16I mean, that too. I think Olave can be a guy who, like, he could just go...
38:21That's who I told you this morning. That was the one name I was like.
38:26I think he's a monster. He's so high on my rest of the season rankings.
38:31Yeah, he's at number four for me. But at number five right now for me is Drake London.
38:36Like, Michael Penix... Michael Penix-Drake London games equals fantasy domination.
38:40Like, you can look at Michael Penix and he'll...
38:42The end of the stat line for Michael Penix is not going to be great for him to be a fantasy quarterback.
38:49Yeah, but all he does is throw it to Drake London.
38:53But all he does is throw to Drake London.
38:56PSA to sucky quarterbacks. Throw it to the really good guys every play you can and it works out way better than you think.
39:03Yep. So I'm with Drake London. As long as it stays Michael Penix, which that's a...
39:09Maybe. It wasn't... It wasn't Keenum that was in Houston that just hyper-chucked it at Hopkins, was it?
39:14Oof. I'm trying to remember when they did... I don't remember if they had Osweiler.
39:19Oh, maybe it was Osweiler? Oh, Brock... Yeah. Was it Osweiler?
39:23Because Keenum played in Houston, right? I think so.
39:25I mean, Keenum's had 16 careers, but TJ Yates maybe?
39:29I don't know. Jason, you got to give us a trade-away candidate.
39:32It comes from the same team as Mike's. Yeah, it's another 49er.
39:36I mean, obviously the injury's there. Last man standing.
39:39Last man standing, but honestly it works almost in his favor.
39:43The injury issues and worries about Mike Evans says that the last guy there is Debo Samuel, who has been good.
39:49He's a man. It took you too long to get there, but...
39:53I know, I know. How did he not get a target last week?
39:57Well, see, this is... He was already the last man standing.
40:01How did he not get a target? It lends itself to Jason's argument.
40:05I'm not sure... I think Debo's current abilities are all gadgetry.
40:08Oh, 100%. And not wide receiver-y. Basically, 50% of his routes this year are running back routes.
40:14There you go. They're screens, flats, backfield. I mean, he is...
40:17His average depth of target is 3.4 yards. Which defense against position do you look at for Brock...
40:23Oh, right. To stop him? Is it like, do you look at the wide receiver?
40:28Do you look at the running backs? Right, the matchup.
40:31You know, it's one of those things where there are teams that have lost a lot of players.
40:37Wide receiver, you know, go look at the Jefferson, the Mike Evans team, Jalen Coker, the Puka manager who's struggling, Nico.
40:43You know, there's a lot of teams out there that are like, man, I really need a guy.
40:49And I think this isn't someone that you're selling super high.
40:53You're not getting a star back. But you can get someone who is maybe a struggling young wide receiver back.
40:59Or a middling package Debo to a wide receiver needy team with someone else to get like a Chuba Hubbard.
41:05Who's like, ah, I don't know. I'm not super excited about him.
41:09I don't know that that's going to happen. You know, they're two kind of older seeming players if you need a running back.
41:17Or, you know, Jordan Tyson. That manager who's held on to Jordan Tyson for three weeks, if he has another wide receiver
41:24injury, he might just have to make a move and can't hold injured wide receivers.
41:28Carnell Tate, who's been super disappointing. People might be like, should I drop him?
41:33Who do I start? I've got to get a win this week.
41:37Like, try to flip Debo for some of these other struggling young guys like Roma Dunze, who, I mean, I would rather
41:44have just about all of these people over Debo.
41:47I think Debo's manufactured points are just not reliable.
41:49I don't think he's going to be really anything rest of season.
41:53And right now, he's scored enough fantasy points. I mean, like last week, the 80 receiving yard, you know, play was on one gadget play.
42:01So it's like you can't rely on that. And I think after another couple weeks, you're not going to be able to trade him for anything.
42:09So, yeah, to me, if he was on my roster right now, I'd be shopping him, seeing if I can capitalize on a couple of good fantasy performances.
42:18All right, let's take a break and talk Thursday night.
42:22Thursday night breakdown. The Pittsburgh Steelers 2-1, guys, taking on the 2-1 Cleveland Browns.
42:26Here we are. AFC North battle. Pittsburgh minus 2-1 on the road.
42:30Over-under 38-1, which is right about where the average over-under is for every Pittsburgh-Cleveland game for the last five years.
42:36And the last two games last year were at 38-34.
42:39So, here we are. Two teams above .500. Deshaun Watson on a two-game winning streak.
42:44Aaron Rodgers got it done last week, first .290 in three-game in, what, five years?
42:49So, fantasy-wise, Mike, you'll do the morbid told-you-so with Quinch on Judkins right now.
42:5335th in yards per carry, 35th in rush success rate, 35th in yards before contact.
42:58That's bad because there's only 36 in the sample.
43:01So, that's pretty much the worst starting running back.
43:04If you want to make the case against Ollie Gordon, you got it right here.
43:09Where I don't think any of us think Quinch on Judkins is the 35th best running back in football from a talent perspective.
43:16But on this team, in this situation, with what they're able to do with the offensive line, he is really entering the don't-mess-around-with category, which sucks.
43:24It really does. Because he's a better player than what he is able to do right now.
43:30But the path forward. I mean, we got 18 carries.
43:33So, 20 opportunities last week against Carolina. Yeah, that must have been a bunch of fantasy points, right?
43:39I mean, you got you in the top 24.
43:42But you have to sheer volume your way there.
43:44And he'll get a couple touchdowns along the way.
43:47But overall, it doesn't feel great. This game is disgusting.
43:50Dude, who's going to win? The Steelers are going to win.
43:54No, they're not. What? No, they're not. Not the fans.
43:57Oh, yeah. Yeah, not the fans. Wait, you think the Browns are going to win this game?
44:03I do. Oh, man. I really don't. Since the Browns can't run the ball, they've been passing the ball okay the last couple of weeks.
44:11Deshaun Watson has looked. I'm thinking through this. I think I'm with Mike.
44:15However, the passing defense for the Pittsburgh Steelers this year has been phenomenal.
44:19It's been. TJ Watt's been awesome. Been okay. Yeah.
44:22I mean, it's just they're a very difficult team to throw the ball on.
44:26And so, I don't think Deshaun Watson's going to be able to succeed there.
44:31Judkins hasn't done anything. And their defense is not what it was with Miles Garrett.
44:35So, I think this is definitely the Steelers win this game.
44:39So, we're split on that. But for fantasy purposes, there's not a lot of start-sit decisions.
44:44Jalen Warren? Jalen Warren is talent and volume. You have to play him.
44:48He looked amazing last week. The two players I want to apologize to the most right now is like Jalen Warren and Kyron Williams.
44:56Like three weeks into the season. From an efficiency standpoint, both are better than I thought they'd be.
45:01Yeah. Yeah. Warren certainly got his opportunity with Rico being out.
45:05And Warren's always been a great player. So, with him getting everything, it totally makes sense.
45:10I mean, on the Steelers' side, are we playing any of these wide receivers?
45:15No. Are you still trying to see how it's going to shake out?
45:19I mean, I do think the targets say that you can play Metcalf.
45:23You know, he's on pace for what? Like 136 targets?
45:26No, look, he scored last week. I'm not wanting to.
45:29I'm just saying that, like, if I'm in that category of just I don't know players.
45:34Dude, I mean, he's on pace for 136 targets.
45:37So, that's where it's like, okay, that's a wide receiver one, maybe a wide receiver two.
45:42He's also on pace for 550 yards. Receiving yards.
45:45Do you want to make this game interesting, Jason?
45:48Yeah. Let's do, I dominated you last week on our $100 bet.
45:52If you remember. Yes. I took Bryce Young and he took Justin Herbert.
45:56And they were a point apart. They were a point apart and it was not a lot of points.
46:02Yes. But I dominated. I got $100. So, I've got house money here.
46:06I'll bet you Browns versus Steelers. Oh, okay. I think the Browns will win the game.
46:11And the reason I think they're going to win the game is, you know, you made a good point.
46:17They might not be able to pass the football.
46:20I think they'll hit the under in this game, by the way.
46:24Yeah. Oh, it's going to be disgusting. It's going to be gross.
46:28But the reason I think is that the pass rush and the defensive line for the Browns at home, where they're, by
46:35the way, 7-0 in the last seven Thursday night games, Aaron Rodgers becomes incapable of functioning with any pressure at all.
46:41And there were five players, I think, that got five pressures last week for the Browns.
46:47That's why I think they'll win the game. And now we have something to care about.
46:52No, that's fun. That's easy money. So, yeah, I guess you just became the biggest Aaron Rodgers fan.
46:57That's all I want you to know. Although, I guess it's worse for me.
47:02Yeah, it's definitely worse for you because there were no odds.
47:05So, this is great for me. But the Cleveland rush defense right now, they're allowing an explosive play on 17% of designed runs.
47:13That's the highest in the NFL. And we saw Jalen Warren with some explosive plays back-to-back last week.
47:18So, I think they're going to be able to run on the Browns.
47:23And I just don't think the Browns are going to be able to score.
47:27Yeah, I mean, that's what we're looking at here.
47:30It's a close line. Pits are minus two and a half.
47:33Low over under. Boring game. Don't play players if you don't have to.
47:38Yeah, I would say don't play players if you don't have to.
47:41If you've got another option for that. Fannin, though.
47:44That was where I was going. I'm getting into Fannin.
47:47Fannin is the one guy. Watson finally figured out.
47:50You see the target? Maybe I should throw to him.
47:53You see the target progression here? Three, six, nine.
47:56Oh, 12's on the way. And if you can't pass wide receivers, Jason.
48:00Let's do it. Let's target Fannin. I'm going to give you a disgusting start set question.
48:06DK Metcalf on Thursday against Cleveland or Lad McConkie on the road against Seattle?
48:10Lad. I'll go Lad. Hoping that the ribs are getting better.
48:14Yeah, I want a good wide receiver. But that's not a great matchup either.
48:18Yeah, I mean, that's not a good time. I mean, I just, any Metcalf decision is not a good time.
48:24Can you play both defenses this week? Sure. Yeah.
48:27Okay. Sure. We'll find some silver lining there. And then we'll move on to Mailbag.
48:32Mailbag. Presented by Paramount+. All right. I like it.
48:35The flourish after. You've got to find a spot.
48:38If you have a question for the show, we're here to help.
48:42That's what we do. We want to help you win your week.
48:45You can go to the fantasyfootballers.com and you can click the submit a question button or dial our voicemail hotline 302464 TFFB.
48:52We'll start with the voicemail. Hey, Ballers. This is Trevor here.
48:56Big fan of the show. We've got a member of our league that is battered at wide receiver.
49:02And I have Michael Wilson. Would you rather have Michael Wilson or Nico Collins rest of season?
49:07I think I've got an opportunity here. Let me know.
49:10Bye. Okay. Michael Wilson or Nico Collins. So you get the chance to turn Michael Wilson into Nico because they need a
49:17player this week and Nico's out potentially. I mean, do it.
49:21I would do that in a heartbeat. I would absolutely.
49:24We were talking before the show. Nico's a great trade for candidate personally.
49:28Yeah, I agree. They need him. He looked good.
49:31Obviously, dealing with his own hamstring injury sucks for now.
49:34But if you can withstand victories long enough to acquire Nico, I mean, he could be back this week.
49:40He was listed as a decent chance to return in week four.
49:44So, yeah, I would definitely do that. Michael Wilson is a very good wide receiver.
49:49He's clearly the best wide receiver on the Cardinals roster.
49:52He's better than Marvin Harrison. He does everything well.
49:55He had 17 targets last week. But he will never be the number one receiving option.
50:00When Trey McBride is there, he'll be a best number two.
50:03Nico is their one. And so that's a level I would always trade for.
50:08I am very bullish on Michael Wilson finishing, you know, probably in the top 15 to 16 range.
50:14I think he could get there. It seems like the team.
50:17If he gets 17 targets a game, he will.
50:20Yeah. It seems like the team has, you know, last year, Marvin Harrison's injury forced Michael Wilson to show that he could be a one.
50:28And he was dominant. Michael Jerry Rice Wilson. A new regime came in, new head coach, new staff, everything changed.
50:34And now it's like, okay, well, Marvin Harrison is part of the future of this franchise.
50:39And we're three weeks in. And in the third week, they were like, dude, the other wide receiver is way better.
50:46And so I think the transition's been made. I do think Michael Wilson will be good.
50:51And Marvin Harrison is... I mean, he had five targets this week, Jason.
50:55That's a huge uptick. Marv? Yeah. Yeah. 17 for the other guy.
50:59I don't think that they are looking to force Marvin Harrison to be something he's not.
51:04No. And it says something when you come out in press conferences and you have to defend the usage of Marvin Harrison.
51:11And then your answer to that on the field is 17 targets for the other guy.
51:16Yeah. All right. Another voicemail question. Hey, thanks. The baller this play.
51:20And if I get on this, my dad's going to freak out.
51:24But I was wondering if I should play Regan Henderson or Braylon Allen if we can.
51:29Thanks. Love the show. Tell your dad to freak out.
51:32Or Travion Henderson this week with Brie Saul. Brie Saul hasn't been ruled out yet that I've heard, but he's not going to play.
51:40I would play Braylon Allen. I would go volume.
51:43Look, I don't want to discount Travion's potential to randomly show up.
51:47Agreed. But that is what it is right now.
51:49It's not, you don't play him with any guaranteed production.
51:53You play him with a, with a hope that you get a big play.
51:57He's playing the Buffalo Bills and Braylon Allen is playing the Chicago Bears.
52:01Both are decent matchups for running backs. I would play Braylon Allen.
52:05I would play Braylon Allen as well. I think that he'll get enough work in a good matchup where he's looked good.
52:12The Jets have been better. Their offensive line has been improved.
52:16And you just don't know, you don't know what you're going to get with Travion Henderson.
52:21I, the matchup is good. And so I was like, man, should Travion be a star of the week?
52:27No, I can't do that. Should Ramondre be a star of the week?
52:31No, I can't do that. So it's like, uh, yeah, I look, he's becoming an if man right now.
52:37It's like, if you use them in the receiving game, Travo would be awesome.
52:41Yeah. If you give them enough work, he'll break one that way.
52:45I mean, but what this team is so broken right now.
52:49You've got to understand they're the lowest scoring team in football.
52:52Owl dropped Drake may this morning for Austin. Oh my God.
52:56That's where Drake may. What does he have? Like one touchdown and six interceptions.
53:00And he's broken. His confidence is broken. And it's, it's certainly going to change with the, the way that the jets with, with Briece Hall out.
53:08But to this point, it, it's only been Briece Allen and Braylon or Briece Hall and Braylon Allen.
53:14Like they're the only running backs who have actually gotten any sort of work.
53:19Isaiah Davis has not seen us an offensive snap.
53:22Yeah. Yeah. I, I, I, um, I think Braylon's going to be a true, but Isaiah Davis has been active, right?
53:28Has he been active in those games? So that, I mean, that's a great sign.
53:33I'm saying like, and like I see what Andrew Beck has run five routes.
53:37Did we get, didn't we get Braylon Allen alone a couple of times in his career in terms of getting a start?
53:44I was just trying to remember like, I don't want to 24.
53:48I'm not saying Allen is a slam dunk by any means.
53:52Let me see if he ever got more than 12 carries in a game in his career.
53:57And I'm not saying that you're saying that. This is pure volume versus a, a matchup that we can exploit.
54:04Yeah. He's never had more than 12 carries. So he's going to have, I mean, he's only 22 years old.
54:10He's in year three. He had 10 carries with Brees Hall in week one.
54:14All right. So let's see how we do. We'll see what happens.
54:18Question from YouTube. Gabe writing in Tucker craft or Colson Loveland rest of season in a PPR league.
54:24Um, wait, wait, wait. Loveland or who? Craft? Tucker craft.
54:27Like I can tell you if somebody offered me Colson Loveland for Tucker craft right now, I would turn it down.
54:34I mean, I would, I would take Tucker craft.
54:37I think that the target consolidation in green Bay, the Jaden Reed's injury.
54:41It's so there's so many limited options. And I, I, I think Tucker craft is on the uptick and I think Loveland
54:48is going to be a little more hit and miss than we wanted.
54:52So I would, I would turn the trade down if somebody offered me.
54:56I don't mind staying with Tucker craft. After then making that move at this point, you're, you're trying to hit a true
55:03home run where, and like hoping that these three weeks are just, or whatever, I guess after Caleb is back, then things
55:10get back on track for Loveland and he turns into the monster he was at the end of last year.
55:16But if you miss, you're going to miss real, real bad.
55:20Yeah. The issue, maybe I just stay with Tucker.
55:23The issue that I had with Loveland preseason in the draft season was always just target competition.
55:28You know, it's, will he get the targets? Will, or, or, or will it be a Luther game?
55:34And then will it be a, a Rome game?
55:37Will it be a Khalif Raymond game? And it seems like, you know, he's not the primary target.
55:43They're not drawing everything. Like he's not the first read all the time.
55:47You, you wanted him to be a Trey McBride.
55:50Yes. Off powers. He is the primary focus of the offense.
55:53I think through three weeks. And I know we had a rain game.
55:57We had a backup quarterback game and we had a crazy, you know, the running game work.
56:03So we haven't seen their, their standard offense, but at the same time, three weeks in, we know he's not the focus,
56:10the focal point of every week for their offense.
56:13Follow up question by Lucas. Would you rather have Isaiah Likely or Tucker Craft rest of the season?
56:18Tucker Craft. Easy Craft. We don't have Jackson Dart for the rest of the year.
56:23That's one you might be able to get done because Craft's been disappointing.
56:27I think you're probably right. I, I would assume most people would want Craft, but someone out there might be like, yeah, I'll take, I'll take Likely.
56:36And I would definitely go to Craft. I think the Tucker Craft, like notoriety isn't anywhere near the other top end tight ends.
56:43Cause he only had a small run last year.
56:46Right. So if you didn't catch that run of dominance or know that he signed a contract, all that stuff.
56:52It's kind of a, just the nerds. Yes. Um, here's one for the nerds more.
56:57I got two, two trade questions. I think are very difficult.
57:01Maybe, uh, Dylan in long Island. Do I trade Zay flowers for Jeremiah love in a PPR?
57:06I mean, that's perfectly fine. Yeah. That's just about positional.
57:09Yeah. It is about, it is about positional need, but the thing is, is when they're in the same tier and I think they're Zay flowers is good.
57:18Jeremiah love is good. I'll take the running back.
57:21That's where the needs gets, you know, more, more scarce and more needy.
57:25Yeah. I, I, I think you're right where the needs get more needy.
57:29The, the slight hesitation is just the way that flowers has looked this year is like electric something, a special season.
57:36You're getting Antonio Brown vibes. Well, I wasn't saying that, but I just, I mean, like this is a different offense.
57:43I I'm, he's being used different and he is, I'm, I'm just a fit.
57:47Fantastic. I'm just afraid of Mike. I'm just afraid of the year of Mike.
57:52We don't know. We don't have conclusive evidence. It's over yet.
57:55He suffered no injuries anywhere. He drafted perfectly in our league of record.
57:59Those players are all breaking out. And I know people want to make me the enemy this year.
58:05Let me, let me point the, let me point the finger over here to this guy.
58:10It would be much. Mike to go back to back.
58:13It'd be much worse. If I would rather you win than Mike, but I'm telling you all about, you know what that's
58:20about, but I think your odds of winning are much higher than Mike.
58:24Yeah. See, look, I I've already, I'm not going to say it out loud.
58:29I've already figured out all of what Mike's doing rest of the season and how easy it is and how easy it's
58:36going to be for him to make the title game.
58:39Um, and I, and I'm terrified. Uh, Tyler, would you trade?
58:43I'm just doing the best I can. Oh, shut the front door.
58:46Uh, would you trade Cam Scadaboo for Amari and Hampton?
58:50Jason, you just traded for Cam Scadaboo. I just, I also mentioned that I think Cam Scadaboo was a good trade for candidate.
58:57Uh, the workload has been there. Last week was a super rainy game.
59:01He averaged three yards per attempt, but it was like a sloshy, you know, everybody's up at the line of scrimmage.
59:08Uh, the, the game was 12 to seven. Uh, that being said, he got 20 carries.
59:13Four targets. He's going to get the work. Um, uh, you know, I, I, I think I, I think I take, man, can we get a zoom?
59:21Is there a slow zoom we could put on Jason?
59:25I would take both do that in post. Both Cam Scadaboo and Amari and Hampton.
59:29Who do you decide? I will take them both.
59:32Would I trade Cam Scadaboo for Amari and Hampton?
59:35Thank you. There we go. Would I, if I had, yeah, yeah, I would.
59:40I would. You would trade for Hampton? I would trade Cam Scadaboo for Hampton.
59:44Oh man. I know. It's the herb bros can't stop.
59:47I, I, I would do that. He is on an Island right now.
59:51I know. He is sitting there under the beating sun.
59:55I'm going to, I'm going to get you that whip so you can just hit yourself in the back over and over.
60:02Yes. Uh, it doesn't. I'd rather have Cam Scadaboo.
60:04It doesn't feel great, but. I think. I'd rather have Cam Scadaboo.
60:08I think that the workload, but man, that's brutal.
60:11Well, it's the workload of like, but the Giants offense is not going to turn around and all of a sudden be a juggernaut.
60:19Correct. The chargers are not going to do that, but if one of the teams is going to, it would be the chargers.
60:26He answered the question. That was the mailbag presented by Paramount plus.
60:30Paramount plus is the streaming home to the NFL on CBS all season long.
