A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury0:47

A.J. Brown's absence is being felt significantly by the Eagles offense, which has struggled to generate explosive plays and has been unable to maintain offensive consistency in recent weeks.

Insight page

Adonai Mitchell

NegativeInjury34:44

Adonai Mitchell's status is uncertain; he missed time that allowed Kenyon Sadiq to have a breakout performance, and it is unclear whether Mitchell will return soon.

Insight page

Alvin Kamara

PositiveRole16:40

Alvin Kamara is 54% rostered and is expected to receive the majority of work in the Saints backfield in the absence of A-Chan Jr.; the hosts expect most of the work to go to Kamara, though Kendrick Miller will be worked in; if forced to start one on a weekly basis in half or full PPR, Kamara would be the choice every time.

Insight page
NegativeUsage22:02

Kamara is the clear leader in volume and snaps in a Saints committee backfield, but the speaker notes he "looks not the same" and expresses concern about his performance. In week 4, Kamara had five carries to Kendra Miller's two in the fourth quarter and ran 12 routes to Miller's eight. Despite leading in touches, the speaker suggests if Kamara gets 16 touches and Miller gets 10, Miller could score more fantasy points due to Kamara's diminished play. Kamara will command more FAB spend than Miller.

Insight page

Austin Ekeler

NegativeProjection26:51

If Ekeler returns to a team, he could be added in deep leagues, but the source would be surprised if he becomes a fantasy-relevant starter or plays his way into an important role.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveSleeper11:50

Braylon Allen, 22 years old with the youngest breakout age of any running back, will get the bulk of work if Breece Hall misses time; he's 21% rostered and has looked very good this season, though he could be temporary depth; he faces Chicago this week (where you can run) and then Cleveland, and is a flex with benefits even when Hall returns.

Insight page
PositiveValue35:15

Braylon Allen is ranked as the top tight end pickup for plug-and-play need, ahead of Kenyon Sadiq in terms of immediate utility.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeInjury11:05

Breece Hall is considered week-to-week with a quad injury; the hosts expect him to miss at least two weeks, which opens the door for Braylon Allen to get significant work.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeRole30:33

Wide receiver has been relegated to reduced role despite eight targets in Week 3; Jacksonville-Cincinnati road matchup expected to be a shootout, but Brian Thomas Jr. is not preferred for starting consideration this week due to role concerns.

Insight page
NegativeBust32:48

Brian Thomas is labeled a landmine and recommended as a drop; the analysts note that if you would start Britain's Change every week over Brian Thomas, you're in trouble, indicating significant concerns about his fantasy viability.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveRole25:15

Bucky Irving is being managed on a strict pitch count early in the season per a September 24th source. In week 4, he was pulled out of the game and sat on the sideline for the last 15 plays despite it being a close game, indicating the Eagles are handling his workload carefully. The speaker believes Irving seems to be fine health-wise and the pitch count management is precautionary rather than injury-related.

Insight page
NegativeUsage25:37

Irving was pulled from the game with 15 carries despite being the team's best talent; he sat for the last 15 plays of a close game. The team appears to be handling his workload with a strict pitch-count approach, though the reason for the benching is unclear—possibly pass protection, attitude, or a predetermined snap limit. He has maintained at least four targets in every game, but the sudden removal despite strong carry volume (8, 17, 15 attempts across three games) suggests the team is managing his role carefully.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

NegativeRole28:00

Douglas has been out, removing a key weapon in Miami's passing game that was getting consistent targets every week. His absence opened opportunity for Chris Bell.

Insight page

Cam Ward

NegativeProjection0:00

Cam Ward's performance has been significantly worse than veteran backup Case Keenum, who looked competent and efficient in a 27-7 win over Philadelphia; the hosts note that Ward nearly lost to the Titans, a team that appears to be 0-3 caliber, suggesting his play has been disappointing relative to expectations.

Insight page

Case Keenum

PositiveProjection0:05

Case Keenum delivered a competent, efficient performance in a 27-7 Monday Night Football win over Philadelphia; he demonstrated precise ball placement and short-timing accuracy, executing Ben Johnson's complex scheme effectively including a rushing touchdown on a trick play; this marks a significant return for a veteran who had mentally retired before Johnson called him back.

Insight page

Chris Bell

NegativeSleeper22:27

Rookie wide receiver held as a stash-and-hold candidate for future progression and increased involvement; won't cost much in waivers and is widely available, making him a low-risk hold for upside development.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout27:48

Bell is the source's number one wide receiver pickup this week. His snap share jumped from 41% to 71% after missing training camp and early-season snaps due to injury. He received seven targets with four catches for 67 yards and multiple red zone looks with touchdown opportunities. The source prefers Bell over Dontavian Wicks and Malik Washington as a better opportunity on a team that will be throwing from behind.

Insight page
PositiveValue33:48

Chris Bell is preferred over Khalif Raymond in a direct comparison, suggesting Bell has better fantasy value or upside at the waiver wire.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

NegativeRole33:13

Chris Godwin's upside is considered gone due to Baker Mayfield's injury absence; Cam Ward. Yeah was not rostering Godwin and cannot cut him, indicating low confidence in his fantasy outlook.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeRole2:11

Colston Loveland is competing with Roman Dunze for targets in the Bears offense; he had a drop in Week 4 where he caught the ball with his fingers closed, failing to secure it, and is noted as being second in the league in drops over the past couple of years, raising concerns about his ability to maintain a meaningful long-term role despite the Bears' strong offensive performance.

Insight page

Darnell Washington

PositiveUsage33:22

Tight end received significant work in Week 3, getting more snaps than Friar Muth, suggesting increased role and usage in the Steelers offense.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

PositiveUsage33:07

DK Metcalf is not a cut candidate; Cam Ward. Yeah emphasizes that Metcalf is getting too much work to consider dropping him.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeBust46:06

Drake May is characterized as a landmine at this point and should be dropped rather than started. The Patriots offense is struggling, and while improvement is expected when A.J. Brown returns, that timeline is approximately two months away, making May unreliable for the near term. He is explicitly not recommended as a streaming option in the current quarterback landscape.

Insight page

Geno Smith

PositiveProjection44:04

Geno Smith is a viable waiver pickup with strong recent performance: 31 for 37 (84% completion) with 321 yards and 3 touchdowns last week. Through three weeks, he maintains a 75.5% completion rate, ranks 6th in passer rating and 8th in total EPA among quarterbacks. The Jets' offensive line has been holding up well, protecting Smith effectively. This week's matchup against the Bears defense is favorable—Chicago ranks 25th in EPA per drop back and 29th in pressure rate, making them beatable.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

PositiveProjection7:00

JJ McCarthy is expected to eventually take over as the Browns' starting quarterback from Jameis Winston; the hosts believe McCarthy will be given the opportunity to start within one to two weeks as Winston continues to struggle statistically.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

NegativeProjection1:48

Jalen Hurts had a hugely disappointing fantasy performance in Week 4; the hosts were shocked the Eagles didn't run more with Barkley, who was destroying the Bears defense, instead having Hurts take over the offense unnecessarily.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

NegativeProjection6:10

Jameis Winston remains the starting quarterback for the Browns but is the worst statistical quarterback in the league; the hosts expect him to be replaced within one to two weeks, with JJ McCarthy eventually taking over, though they acknowledge giving Winston one more week against the Cardinals before making a change.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveInjury9:15

Jaden Daniels will travel with the Commanders to London and practice in some capacity this week, indicating he should be back sooner than later from his injury.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeRole14:10

Jalen Wright is listed ahead of Ollie Gordon on the depth chart and will be involved in the Broncos backfield, but the hosts don't believe he's a great player; he's a very good athlete with big playability if he can find a lane, but the hosts doubt he'll find lanes with a bad offensive line and no passing game threat.

Insight page
NegativeValue23:59

Jalen Wright is mentioned as a similar backup running back option to Kendra Miller in a timeshare situation (Dolphins backfield). The speaker notes you could get him on the cheap as insurance in case the distribution changes, but expresses hesitation about wanting the starter in a Dolphins timeshare, so he's not actively pursuing Wright on waivers.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveValue31:29

Wide receiver available in 25% of leagues (75% rostered); potential start candidate in Week 4 with Kyler Murray at quarterback and potentially no Justin Jefferson, creating opportunity for increased targets and production.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeInjury27:30

Jacobs' status is uncertain; the source notes the league is trying to get video evidence and the situation has been volatile ('snip, snap, snip, snap all over the place'). There is a possibility the team may not get Jacobs back.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveInjury9:15

Justin Jefferson's ankle injury is not long-term and he could play in Week 4 against the Dolphins; he avoided the dreaded high ankle scenario, which is positive news for his availability and for Kyler Murray's streaming outlook.

Insight page

Kalif Raymond

PositiveSleeper3:00

Khalif Raymond, a 32-year-old undrafted free agent in his 11th year, has been recommended as a waiver pickup and is being used effectively in Ben Johnson's Bears offense; he has played 75% of snaps in Week 4 and over 60% of snaps in all three weeks, demonstrating consistent involvement in a high-powered offense where he knows the system well, though the hosts acknowledge the difficulty of starting a journeyman of his age and experience level.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup30:09

Wide receiver demonstrated ability to produce against Eagles defense, serving as precedent for why Kanata Mumfield can succeed in the same matchup.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper33:30

Khalif Raymond is called a 'superstar' and ranked as Cam Ward. Yeah's wide receiver five (behind Malik Washington); at 13.9% roster percentage, Cam Ward. Yeah believes Raymond may be too low and could be a league winner if he reaches 50% roster percentage.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveValue24:41

Keaton Mitchell was very involved for the Bears in week 4 with eight carries, three targets, and 38% snap share, showing he's an explosive player. The speaker is not going hard after him but believes he should be rostered as cheap depth at running back. Mitchell is preferred over Mike Washington as a waiver pickup.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

PositiveValue33:21

In a comparison of aging wide receivers, Keenan Allen is preferred over Chris Godwin; Cam Ward. Yeah would rather have Keenan right now in the 'Battle of the Olds.'

Insight page

Kendre Miller

PositiveValue22:02

Miller is the Saints backup running back in a committee with Alvin Kamara and represents strong value on waivers. The speaker prefers the Kendra side if Kamara goes for 20 FAB and Miller can be acquired for 3 FAB. Miller shouldn't cost much and is worth picking up this week as a cheap depth option. In week 4, he had two carries and eight routes, showing involvement in the offense despite being the backup.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeValue25:08

Kenny Gainwell was considered as a potential waiver pickup, but the speaker notes that Bucky Irving appears to be the preferred option in the Eagles backfield instead.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

PositiveBreakout34:23

Kenyon Sadiq is identified as the top tight end pickup for the week at 33% roster percentage; he had a breakout performance coinciding with Mason Taylor and Adonai Mitchell missing time, and is heading to Chicago for another favorable matchup. He played 58% of snaps and 57% of routes in his breakout game, displaying elite yards after catch and speed; Cam Ward. Yeah ranks him as the number one pickup across all positions including running backs.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveProjection9:35

Kyler Murray's streaming outlook improves significantly if Justin Jefferson returns soon from his ankle injury; the host was considering him as a stream of the week but was hesitant without clarity on Jefferson's availability.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveUsage4:00

Luther Burden received 11 targets in Week 4, a significant volume indicator; he scored a touchdown on a play that was essentially a running play where he was pushed in from eight yards away, demonstrating the Bears' willingness to feed him the ball in the red zone.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

NegativeSleeper22:27

Rookie wide receiver held as a stash-and-hold candidate for future progression and increased involvement; positioned as a hold for upside development rather than immediate starting consideration.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup29:03

Lemon, a first-round pick, is part of the consensus top four wide receivers but is a terrible play this week. Against Chicago in a negative game script, he went 3 for 29 yards. The source would not start him this week due to the matchup.

Insight page

Malik Washington

NegativeUsage28:48

Washington is part of the consensus top four wide receivers (Eagles/Dolphins) alongside Wicks and Lemon. While not producing anything special, he has 17 combined targets with Chris Bell. However, all four top wide receivers are terrible plays this week against the Rams and Vikings.

Insight page
PositiveRole33:54

Malik Washington is ranked ahead of Khalif Raymond on Cam Ward. Yeah's wide receiver depth chart, indicating he is Cam Ward. Yeah's wide receiver four.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

PositiveProjection45:33

Marcus Mariota is available in approximately 94% of leagues and presents a viable streaming option despite volatility. He threw for three touchdowns last week against Seattle and has dual-threat upside with his rushing ability. The Colts defense is poor, which creates favorable game script for Mariota to accumulate passing volume. He can produce high-ceiling games but is inconsistent; however, for teams in quarterback scarcity, he's a worthwhile pickup, especially with the Colts playing in London this week.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeBust32:59

Marvin Harrison Jr. is discussed as a tough drop decision; Cam Ward. Yeah indicates they probably would not cut him despite concerns, suggesting he remains a hold despite disappointing early performance.

Insight page

Mason Taylor

NegativeInjury34:36

Mason Taylor's status is uncertain; he missed time that allowed Kenyon Sadiq to have a breakout performance, and it is unclear whether Taylor will return soon.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeRole32:36

Wide receiver appears to be out of favor with Aaron Rodgers, who reportedly dislikes him even more than Roman Wilson; not recommended for starting consideration.

Insight page
NegativeRole32:48

Michael Pittman is being recommended as a drop; Rodgers appears to dislike Pittman even more than Roman Wilson, limiting his offensive role and fantasy viability.

Insight page

Mike Evans

PositiveInjury10:00

Mike Evans is day-to-day with a rib injury after a hit from Budda Baker that appeared severe; the hosts were shocked he's day-to-day given the dramatic nature of the hit, and the team will manage him through the week before deciding on his Week 4 availability.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon II

NegativeValue13:20

Ollie Gordon II rushed 17 times for 41 yards and a touchdown with 3 targets for 14 yards in Week 4; the head coach indicated Gordon would compete to be an every-down back, and he's shown impressive talent at the professional level, but the hosts are concerned about spending significant FAB on him given the Broncos' low implied point total (13.5, lowest of the year), tough matchups at Minnesota and Cincinnati, and the bye week coming up; Jalen Wright will be involved but Gordon should get the majority of work.

Insight page
PositiveValue23:59

Ollie Gordon is identified as the big-ticket waiver pickup among backup running backs this week, suggesting he will command significant FAB spend compared to other backup options like Keaton Mitchell, Emmitt Johnson, and Jalen Wright.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeInjury30:00

Wide receiver may miss another week beyond Week 4, creating opportunity for backup tight end Kanata Mumfield to see increased usage and start consideration.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeBust32:45

Quentin Johnston is recommended as a drop in the waiver wire discussion.

Insight page
NegativeBust34:05

Wide receiver identified as a drop candidate in Week 4 waiver analysis.

Insight page

Roman Wilson

NegativeRole32:36

Wide receiver showed promise over first three weeks as best receiver on Packers, but benched after a costly drop that resulted in an interception and defensive score in Week 3; chasing him on waivers is considered unwise due to volatility and Aaron Rodgers' apparent frustration with the player.

Insight page
PositiveRole32:36

Roman Wilson has looked like the best wide receiver on the Cardinals over the first three weeks; despite Rodgers' apparent preference issues with both Wilson and Pittman, Wilson has established himself as the team's top receiving option.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeUsage0:50

Saquon Barkley rushed 15 times for 82 yards with no touchdown in Week 4 against the Bears; the hosts noted that his outside runs were working effectively and expressed frustration that the Eagles didn't run him more, instead having Jalen Hurts take over the offense unnecessarily.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

NegativeInjury30:06

Wide receiver will not be available in Week 4, opening opportunity for other pass catchers like Kanata Mumfield.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeInjury10:25

Travis Etienne Jr. will miss some time for the Saints with a hamstring injury that is a re-aggravation of the same hamstring; the hosts expect it to be multiple weeks, similar to previous hamstring re-tweaks they've observed.

0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
0:05Welcome in. Back again. Football is the best. Freaking Case Keenum.
0:09Case Keenum's the best. Case Keenum. Like, not just winning, but looking very competent.
0:14Do we not? It was awesome. Do we not see my point from a few shows ago?
0:19The parody? No, just that there's guys that are veteran quarterbacks that get thrown to the garbage heap and apparently are capable
0:27of playing so much better than Cam Ward. Yeah, because, yes.
0:30Case Keenum, like, in his time, was, like, he was efficient.
0:34But his time was 2019. It's like over half a decade ago.
0:38I was shocked he was still in the league.
0:41I really was. Well, he said that he retired mentally.
0:44Yeah, that's right. Okay. And then... Mentally? Well, he hadn't put it in paperwork, but he had just...
0:50As have I. He decided that he was going to retire and walk away, and then Ben Johnson called him, and the
0:58only reason he came back was for Ben Johnson.
1:01Yeah. And then he wins on Monday Night Football.
1:04Yeah. In front of his family. It was... 27-7.
1:07It was awesome. Ben Johnson is very good. He was in the back.
1:11And, like, Keenum was seriously on point. Like, so much stuff was just short timing, and Keenum was, like, the ball placement,
1:18it had to be precise, and he was. He got it done.
1:22Yeah, this was not a good night for the Eagles.
1:26No. No, it was not. Don? Uh, I would say year.
1:29I don't think I would. I don't think I would relegate it.
1:33Okay, that's fine. They almost lost to the Titans with Cam Ward.
1:37Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which seems impossible. I mean, genuinely, like, this feels like an 0-3 team.
1:43Well, they could have lost to the Commanders in Week 1 as well.
1:47They're not, you know, they're feeling the absence of A.J.
1:50Brown. They're feeling the age of Saquon Barkley, the explosive plays on the team.
1:55Um, we're not using Makai Lemon. Eli Stowers was a terrible draft pick.
1:59We don't have Dallas Goddard, who had a really good Week 1 and 2.
2:04Dontavian Wicks, 2 for 32. Uh, Devontae Smith, 6 for 65.
2:08Saquon was 15 for 82, no touchdown. Jalen Hurts, I mean, hugely disappointing fantasy night.
2:13I was shocked they didn't run more. Like, Barkley to the outside was working fantastic.
2:18And then they're like, no, we're gonna, let's have Jalen Hurts take this offense on.
2:23It's like, unnecessary. Barkley is destroying these people. You can kill them on the ground.
2:28It's the Bears. So, so the Bears won 27 to 7.
2:31They won with 59 points in Week 1. And here we are with Colston, Loveland, Roman Dunze.
2:37Oh, Loveland, just, just stretch your arms, man. That was the, yeah, you say that, but also Rome, just, just.
2:44Oh, yes. Oh, open your hands, because he caught it with his fingers closed and therefore did not catch the ball.
2:51I don't expect more. Caught it with his fingers closed.
2:54That's what happened. His fingers were, like, too closed already, and it hit the outside of his fingertips.
3:00Like, what are you doing? Which he's second in the league in drops, I think, over the last couple years.
3:06Well, I don't know if he's second, but it was, Hardis was pointing out that people destroy Quentin Johnston for his drops,
3:14and Rome is one drop behind him. I was.
3:17Except Quentin, Q has, like, a ton of volume.
3:20I was unwilling to acknowledge Jason's recommendation of Khalif Raymond two weeks ago, because I was not capable.
3:26No, emotionally and mentally. I was wondering that this person, in the face of a Dunzey Loveland burden, could have any sort of meaningful long-term role.
3:34Look, when you're 32 years old. In year 11.
3:37In year 11, as an undrafted free agent. Journeyman that's hit different teams.
3:42You've got to, you've got to make your mark.
3:45I mean, I give so much credit to somebody like Ben Johnson for, like, just being player agnostic and just taking the
3:52best play, the best player, the best route, and prioritizing it.
3:56I don't know if you guys have seen the play.
3:59Benjamin Solak on Twitter shared it. There was a play schemed up where two wide receivers ran through the C-gap.
4:06Like, the play is wild. You watch this and you're like.
4:09I missed this one. So they run up through the C-gap.
4:13Yeah, I mean, so you've got, like, no cornerbacks, essentially, on two different wide receivers going in different directions.
4:19It is mastermind-level stuff. Well, and the QB sneak for Case Keenum to get a rushing touchdown was, we're going to have the guards fake.
4:28Like, we sent, they did the complete opposite of what is a big man football.
4:33We're stronger. We're going right. They're like, no, we're going to act like we're, the guards are going to pull out.
4:40And then, Case Keenum. Case Keenum scores a rushing touchdown.
4:43I feel like you guys, Philadelphia, you've got to walk home.
4:47There's no buses allowed. If Case Keenum gets a rushing touchdown, you walk.
4:51I know a couple of things. I know that the, now Burden got into the end zone on a play that was
4:58basically a running play and he got pushed in from eight yards away.
5:03A Duns A3 for 44, 11 A4 for 31.
5:06However, 11 targets for Luther Burden. Yes. We will take that.
5:09Yes, we will. Feed the Burden. Yes. But I will say this.
5:13Feed the Burden. Is that Mary Poppins you're going with?
5:17You know what? Sure. Poppins. I know what you're saying.
5:20Feed the Burden. Feed the Burden. Poppins. Poppins. I just know this from 12 years of fantasy football.
5:26If Kalief Raymond's roster percentage surpasses like 50%, this dude will never do it again.
5:31You can't look at him. I mean, is there any of you?
5:35Let's say we just put all four of these bears on your team.
5:39There's nobody that's starting Kalief Raymond over a Duns A or Loveland.
5:43It feels impossible to do that. I mean, he played 75% of the snaps.
5:48He's been over 60% of the snaps in all three weeks.
5:52And so, therefore, on a good offense where he's very involved and knows the system well and is being used well, you
5:59feel like you should be able to start him.
6:02But how? How do you start a year 11?
6:05Like, we know who Kalief Raymond is. Yeah, Ben Johnson knows who he is.
6:10Which is a superstar. He's the next Parker Washington.
6:13Oh, my God. Yeah, no, remember we were doing the, like, who's the next Michael Wilson?
6:18I think we did that time machine. Yeah. We found him.
6:22We might have. I mean, at least through three weeks.
6:25And here we are. Three weeks into the fantasy season.
6:28It is a moment in time where we can say, hey, if it hasn't gone your way, do not give up.
6:35Correct. We have been here for 12 years and we have seen literally hundreds, maybe thousands of people write in at 04,
6:4305, make the playoffs, win a championship. Have you seen the injuries this year?
6:47Yeah. Everything that's terrible that has happened to you and your bad luck.
6:52Because there is. There's bountiful bad luck this year.
6:55That bad luck, that cloud, it might move over to your opponent next week.
6:59And also, in every league, there are, you know, as the weeks go on, you get into week four, week five, you've
7:07got, you know, half the league is on the bottom half of their league and they start giving up.
7:13Folding. Not trying as hard. Not going on the way.
7:16And the league gets a little easier as well.
7:19You know, so stay the course and you'll be fine.
7:23Yeah. Yeah. It's been, uh, it's been wild so far, but don't be the one to give up first.
7:29When those other teams start to give up. Right.
7:32You can take advantage. Let's talk some news. News and notes from around the league.
7:37All right. Jameis Winston remains the team's starting quarterback for now.
7:41For now. How many weeks you give it? Two.
7:44One. Yeah. One. Maybe one. You think that they'll have McCarthy up to speed in one week?
7:49Well, let's put it this way. The Cardinals beat him this week and Winston commits turnovers.
7:55It's possible. The Cardinals are, are the, are the entire reason it'll be one or more because either the Cardinals are bad
8:02and Jameis Winston wins and they're not going to, they're not going to pull him after a, after a victory and he might look fine.
8:10Right. Or the Arizona Cardinals beat you. And then you're like, we've got to make a change.
8:16I hear what you're saying. Let's just, let's just see how one week goes.
8:21But genuinely it is one week at a time with Jameis.
8:24He's the starter this week. Um, he will not be the starter rest of season.
8:29He's just not playing well enough. No, he's playing.
8:32He's the worst statistical quarterback in the league. And we've seen Cam Ward.
8:37I, we have, I don't like, I do think that JJ McCarthy will eventually take over, but in terms of Jameis being
8:44thrown in against the Rams when you're not, when you haven't been getting the started reps and then playing in that, in
8:51the storm game, I'll give him at least one more week against the Cardinals.
8:56That is, that is fair. We got to remember that that Titans game was a storm and you can't hold anything against him against the Rams.
9:04So maybe, is there a chance we see famous Jameis?
9:08It feels slim, but that would be awesome. That'd be awesome for neighbors to have someone that is just airing it out.
9:15Um, Jaden Daniels will travel with the team to London and practice in some capacity this week.
9:21So Jaden Daniels should be back sooner than later.
9:24What a game by Mariota last week. Yes. Good news here.
9:27Justin Jefferson ankle injury, not anything long-term and could play in week four against the dolphins.
9:33Wow. So avoided, you know, the, the dreaded high ankle scenario.
9:36That's exciting news. It is. I hadn't seen that.
9:39I was contemplating Kyler as my stream of the week.
9:43I think he's a fine enough pickup, but then I was like, eh, without Justin Jefferson, I don't know how long he's going to be out.
9:51But if Jefferson's back soon, even if it's not necessarily playing this week, Kyler's outlook is much better.
9:57Mike Evans is day to day with his rib injury.
10:01That changed quick. I thought he died. He didn't.
10:04I mean, the way, the way he went to his face was that of a man who was, who took three arrows
10:11in the chest and was reaching out to the, to the scenic landscape.
10:15It was like, this is it. This is how I go.
10:19And I didn't, I didn't feel like it was, you know, this is a tough dude.
10:24Mike Evans, you know, has, has played long enough.
10:27He's tough. It really seemed like he took three arrows in the chest from Buddha Baker.
10:33Baker and, um, well, I'm shocked that he's day to day.
10:36Yeah. They'll manage him through the week before deciding on his week for availability.
10:41Travis H and junior will miss some time for the saints with the hamstring.
10:46It was not determined. It was a re aggravation.
10:49It's a reminder. It's like he was on, he was maybe going to miss with a hamstring, went in, gave us the,
10:56as we've seen many, many times, the, the, the retweak of the hamstring.
11:00So I would imagine it's multiple weeks. Travis H and junior will miss some time.
11:05I said that one. Brees Hall considered week to week with the quad injury.
11:10I'm Ron Burgundy. I'm pretty sure that Travis H and junior will miss a few weeks.
11:15So it's a hamstring. It's a re aggravation of the same hamstring.
11:19All right. All right. Uh, Brees Hall considered week to week with his quad injury.
11:24Yeah. That makes the signing of like Braylon Allen.
11:27If he's not already on your team, like he is for Mike and league of record.
11:33What? Um, it makes that signing for like kind of difficult.
11:36I did not realize that Mike. Yeah. I was going to go pretty hard after Braylon Allen.
11:42You can't dig. You can't. So yeah. I mean, Braylon Allen will get the bulk of the work.
11:48He looks okay this year. It's just a matter of, do you get it for a week?
11:54Do you get it for two weeks? Yeah. Somewhere in that department.
11:58We'll be talking about all these, all these running backs here in the waiver segment.
12:03Like Braylon Allen gets Chicago and you can run on the bears.
12:07The. Yeah. I'm playing Mike this week. We got the week to week update.
12:11Uh, but Aaron Glenn was saying, I'm not, we're not going to give a full update until Wednesday.
12:17Terrence Ferguson unlikely to play in week four. They also lost Colby Parkinson to a AC joint.
12:23Maybe Higby is a one week. I mean, they, they don't sound like Puka is going to be back.
12:29Like for this week is they said, they've said more.
12:33Cause last, last another comment about the fact that like he should be back soon, but it might not be this week.
12:40Okay. Cause we had McVay who is a liar.
12:43McLiar face about injuries. Can't lie. If you don't show up to the press conference.
12:48Thank you. McVay. Well, I mean, he showed up.
12:51He just left early. Dipped out. Yeah. And oh, nobody's here yet.
12:55I was here. Goodbye. Wow. Not happy, but yeah, there, there you go.
12:59We'll, we'll monitor more throughout the week. We got waivers on today's show.
13:04So much to talk about. So let's jump right in.
13:07Let's take a quick break and we'll hop into the waivers.
13:11Waiver wire presented by T-Mobile. Okay. Well, it's been kind of slow on the waiver wire for the past few weeks in
13:18terms of like high investment waiver priority burning situations.
13:21But this week is different. Uh, we do have some players that I think, uh, could be significant.
13:27It's tough. It's tough. It's tough. Yeah. I mean, let's start at running back.
13:32That's where the story is. Uh, we talked about Braylon Allen.
13:35He's going to get an opportunity to start if, if Breece Hall is out.
13:40Let's talk about Ollie Gordon. The second last week, 17 for 41 and a touchdown, three targets, three for 14, you know,
13:47in conversations in the off season, when they tried to box him into being a short yardage player, their head coach came
13:55out and said he would rather see Gordon compete to be in every down back.
14:00Think he's capable of doing it. Every snap of Ollie Gordon I've ever seen at the professional level.
14:06I've been personally impressed. I think he's a pretty talented player.
14:09He was very productive in college. He should get the majority of the work, but Jalen Wright will be involved.
14:16Jalen Wright is a player that they value the speed, the big playability, um, listed ahead of, of Gordon on the depth chart before last week.
14:25And the, the, the further complication to the fab spend decision is the fact that this is a team that is not
14:32going to score a lot of points the rest of the way in no way, shape and form is Ollie Gordon, Devon
14:39HN and HN was struggling to put up much more than 10, 11 points on a weekly basis with all the snaps this week.
14:47For example, they have the lowest implied point total at 13 and a half.
14:52So that's the lowest of the year. Yeah. And that has to be, right?
14:57You're going to, here's what's going to happen. The matchup is at Minnesota.
15:01Yeah. You're going to go to Minnesota and you're going to spend a bunch of fab on Ollie Gordon.
15:07And then you might end up feeling really bad about it for a week at least.
15:12So what, what is the frame work here? Because in all my leagues, getting anybody at running back, having running back depth
15:20is the hardest possible thing that you can do.
15:23And so there's value here. It's just how much I am.
15:26I'm just, I'm concerned of Ollie Gordon should be added in every single league.
15:31Um, but I, the, it will be once Jalen Wright is back, I think it will be, you know, far more of
15:38a committee on a low scoring team. And they're like the schedule the next two weeks is at Minnesota.
15:45And then it's Cincinnati, which I know Warren had a good game against Cincinnati.
15:49I still believe that their defense is, is much improved.
15:53And then it's the bye week. It was like, that's a hard thing to commit a ton of fab to a running
16:00back that I think is going to suck for two weeks.
16:04And then you can't play him at three weeks.
16:07Yeah. I do think Ollie Gordon is the right pickup.
16:10Jalen Wright is not good. I, yeah, I don't think he's that great.
16:14I mean, he is a, he's a very good athlete.
16:18And if you can find him a lane, he can run where you can't catch him.
16:23That part is good. If you find him a lane, I'm not sure he will find the lane.
16:29And I doubt you're making a lot of, um, you know, openings with a bad offensive line, no threat of a passing game.
16:37So I'm not fearful of Jalen, right? I think Ollie Gordon, Andy's right.
16:41Has, has basically shown that he's a, he's a quality NFL player, but it's going to be a month before you're confident enough to, to play him.
16:50So dropping a ton of fab is, is tough.
16:53If I haven't been destroyed by, um, by injuries and my running back position.
16:58And it's just like, Hey, I need, I want a quick fix.
17:02I'm, I'm, I prefer Braylon. I completely, completely agree.
17:05If you're needing a start right now, the next two weeks, but if you're, if you're good, if you're solid, getting a
17:12player for the rest of the year is worth more fab.
17:16Yes. Agreed. But I, I'm concerned that is he actually worth the fab in the end?
17:21I mean, let, let me, let me ask you this.
17:24If Ja'Cory Kraski-Meritt was out on the waiver wire, what fab would he receive?
17:29Um, I'm trying to pick some more than Ollie Gordon starter, more than Ollie Gordon.
17:34Yes. See, I mean, I think that's a situation where he's been under 50% of snaps every week.
17:40Um, not hyperproductive. I mean, getting a starter week for the rest of the year is the equation here.
17:46Right. Right. But is Ollie Gordon going to be 70% of snaps?
17:5060%? We, we don't know that yet. The, where I lean bill just in your hypothetical is they will like Mariota and that team looked great.
17:59Jane Daniels will be back. I just believe more in Washington.
18:03They're signing Eckler. They have Katron Allen. Yeah. Bill could be in big trouble.
18:07I mean, what's the fab spin if you have a hundred fab still?
18:12For Ollie Gordon? Yeah. Oh, I mean, he will, I imagine he's going to go for 20 plus.
18:18Cause it's a, like the starters, I think for sure.
18:21I think he could, but I don't know that I would, I think you could go up to 50.
18:27Yeah. You're, you're going to have him. Are you willing to do it?
18:32I don't think I'm willing to do it. The nice thing about both of these guys in the thirties, like instead of
18:39a veteran running back coming in that, you know what they're about?
18:43Like let's say Devin Singletary was the only back in town in New York.
18:48You kind of know what you're getting with Ollie Gordon.
18:51There is tremendous upside potential on a bad team, but it's still a young player that we haven't seen given all of the work.
18:59So from an explosiveness standpoint, you could be surprised in a positive way, as opposed to spinning up on the Singletary type of guy.
19:07Now Braylon Allen is more rostered. Like Ollie's out there for every league that I'm in.
19:12He's basically on no teams. Ironically, as the HN manager in our league of record, I drafted Ollie Gordon and then cut
19:20him because that's what ends up happening when you have other opportunities to pick up players that, you know, excel.
19:26Braylon Allen, 21% rostered. He has scored, I think, two times this year, right?
19:31Mm-hmm. No, the first one was called back. That's right.
19:34But he's looked very good. He's 22 years old, had the youngest breakout age of any running back.
19:40But again, it could be very temporary. Yeah. You've got Chicago in Chicago this week and then Cleveland.
19:46Cleveland has been stepping up on the defensive side.
19:49Chicago last night. You can run on them, but it's in Chicago and I don't know.
19:55We've been let down by Braylon Allen starts before.
19:58Yes, for sure we have. We're not going to have a definitive update on Brees until after your waivers run.
20:04Most likely, depending on what time your waivers actually run.
20:08I think that from what I've seen, I think Brees Hall is going to miss at least two weeks.
20:14In which case, Braylon Allen, I think, is a very good start.
20:18I've really liked what we've seen from the Jets so far.
20:22The offensive line has been a significant improvement from the year prior.
20:26Geno's been slinging. They've got the weapons. Sadiq looks like the real deal.
20:30So, you know, it's a much better situation. Obviously, it's not long-term.
20:34It's not rest of season. That being said, Braylon Allen has been kind of a flex with benefits.
20:40So it's not like, you know, when Brees comes back that Braylon Allen is completely, you know, 100% unusable.
20:46Like you said, he had a touchdown last week and I had a touchdown that was called back on a penalty in week one.
20:54And then you have, obviously, the Saints backfield, which I'm very curious to your guys' opinion.
21:00I think we're going to disagree here. This is regarding Alvin Kamara.
21:03Kamara and Kendrick Miller. Yeah. Yeah, Kamara's 54% rostered.
21:06Kendrick Miller's 3% rostered. A couple of tough matchups coming up.
21:10Kamara, yeah, the disagreement that I think we're going to have is just what we believe the team's philosophical approach is going to be to that position.
21:19And I think most of the work is going to go to Alvin Kamara.
21:24I think that his – I think there's a lot more to the equation for them than – and I think we've
21:31seen it even with A-Chan being active because we've been embarrassed at their utilization of Kamara with a healthy A-Chan.
21:38Oh, that's still so confusing. I mean, to me it's – We've done this the whole offseason, the whole A-Chan Jr.
21:45thing, and you're like, with A-Chan's utilization, and I'm right there at the Dolphins.
21:49I'm like, what did they do? No, sorry. No, it's not – But I mean – It's just weird.
21:56Like, I expect the majority of all the work to go to Alvin Kamara in the absence of A-Chan.
22:02You'll work Kendra Miller in, but I don't expect – like, if I had to start one on a weekly basis, in
22:09half or full point, it'd be Kamara every time.
22:12Yeah, so the way that I see – I would be surprised if all the work goes to Kamara because they just
22:20spent a ton of money to bring a running back in, and they didn't give him all the work.
22:26They seem like they want a committee. They were using whoever it was, Kendra Miller in week one when Kamara wasn't there.
22:33You know, they – when Kamara was there, they were using A-Chan as the backup, it seemed like, and involving two backs.
22:41I think both backs will be involved. I agree with you that Alvin Kamara is clearly the leader in volume, in snaps.
22:48Kendra Miller will be the backup, but I think Alvin Kamara is going to go for a lot more fab.
22:55And if – you know, I said this two weeks ago, I think if Kendra Miller gets 10 touches and Alvin Kamara
23:02gets 16 touches, I think Kendra probably scores more fantasy points just because Kamara looks not the same.
23:08I mean, he looked better this past week. In the fourth quarter, Alvin Kamara had five carries to Kendra's two, and Kamara ran 12 routes to Kendra's eight.
23:17So, I mean, it was on Kamara's side, but Kendra Miller wasn't a non-factor.
23:22I think Kendra – They're both worth picking up this week.
23:26And to Jason's point, it's like if Kamara went for 20 fab, then you can get Kendra for three.
23:32I'd prefer the Kendra side. You'd want to go the Kendra side.
23:36Yeah, yeah. But it's going to be a prolonged absence, I think, for A-Chan, at least three weeks.
23:42I'm certainly not saying spend the most on Kendra Miller and drop fab.
23:46I think he's just a value for – he's going to not cost a lot.
23:51He shouldn't. Keaton Mitchell, Emmitt Johnson, Jalen Wright, you know, if you want to spend – it's a very similar situation there.
23:59Ollie Gordon's going to be the big ticket. Kendra Wright – or Jalen Wright – yeah, mixing Kendra Miller and Jalen Wright together, it might not even matter.
24:08But those are a couple other names. Jalen Wright's probably – you could get him on the cheap just in case the distribution is different.
24:16Yeah, you could. I don't want the backup – like the Saints look like a good offense.
24:22The Saints are a fast pace of play. Tyler Shuck looks legit.
24:26The Dolphins, having the backup and a timeshare, I don't know that I want the starter in the timeshare for the Dolphins.
24:33So I'm not doing anything for Jalen Wright. Keaton Mitchell, though, bears, you know, talking about – he was unfortunately for Hampton managers.
24:41They were – Keaton Mitchell was very involved. Eight carries, three targets.
24:45He's an explosive player. I'm not going – 38% of snaps.
24:49I'm not going hard after him, but I do think he is – he should be rostered.
24:54Depth at running back that you might be able to get on the cheap.
24:59You prefer Keaton or Mike Washington? Keaton. Yeah, I would prefer Keaton.
25:03The other names to pick up are just, you know, kind of insurance backs.
25:08Make sure that Kalen Black is rostered. You know, Kenny Gainwell, we thought maybe would be a pickup, but it seems like Bucky Irving.
25:16I mean, I had read something from September 24th because I was doing some research on Bucky Irving for the injury.
25:23And I don't remember the source, but they talked about him being on a pitch count early in the season.
25:29And then – Yes, yeah. That came up. We got him – even in a close game, we got him pulled out
25:37and he just sat for the last 15 plays of the game or whatever it was this past week.
25:43There was no – Bucky Irving was just standing on the sideline.
25:47Everyone assumed he was hurt. And they must be handling this in a strict manner when it comes to the pitch count.
25:54But he seems to be fine. Like, I was trying to figure out was this a – you know, is this like an attitude thing?
26:03Like, was there something that he did that got the team frustrated?
26:07You know, he didn't fumble, but it seemed like they literally hit a mark.
26:11You look at his games. Yeah. It could be a pass protection call.
26:16Yeah, it could have been. It's just weird to take maybe the best, like, talent that you have out of the game.
26:23But if you look at the opportunities in the three games, you know, it was eight attempts on the ground, then 17, then 15.
26:31He stops at 15 and they don't put him back in.
26:35But at least four targets in every game. It's going to be weird for that team and Gainwell and all of those
26:42guys as we deal with no Baker for a little bit of time.
26:46But is there anybody else? I mean, Austin Eckler, are you adding him?
26:51I mean, I don't think so. Deep, deep leagues.
26:54Yeah, I don't think – like, if Austin Eckler comes back to a team, which I could see very much happening, should he be added?
27:02Yeah. Will he be a fantasy-relevant starter? Will he be able to play his way into a really important role?
27:08I would be surprised. The only other player I would mention, I would whisper, is Caleb Johnson.
27:14You know, more weeks in the system. You've got a couple more weeks before we probably find out what's going on with Josh Jacobs.
27:22And, man, they need to figure out a running game.
27:25They just have to make some changes. We might not get Jacobs back.
27:30I mean, the league is trying to get that video and that could be – this thing has been snip, snap, snip, snap all over the place.
27:39So, I don't mind you mentioning him as much as I should mind you mentioning him.
27:44My number one wide receiver pickup this week is Chris Bell.
27:48His snaps went up. This is Miami wide receiver.
27:51His snaps went up to 71%. Seven targets, four for 67.
27:54Caleb Douglas has been out. You lose the weapon in the passing game that A-chan was, getting the targets every week.
28:01And this is the expectation for somebody like Chris Bell.
28:05Coming off an injury, missing all of training camp, wasn't seeing the snap counts that we needed for any type of viability,
28:12but saw them jump from 41% to 71%. Seven targets, big-bodied guy, had multiple red zone looks in this game, had opportunities for touchdowns.
28:20But, to me, I personally think that's a much better opportunity on a team that's going to be throwing from behind all
28:27game long than what I'm seeing out of, like, Wicks.
28:31And I would take them over Malik Washington, too.
28:34It's pretty wild that we are – you know, kind of the consensus, the top four-ish wide receivers, it's going to be the Eagles and the Dolphins.
28:43Right. Wicks and Lemon, Bell and Washington. It's absurd because it's like, well, of course it should be Makai Lemon, a first-round pick.
28:50But then we have just more evidence of yesterday against Chicago, a very negative game script.
28:56We need to throw the ball. Dontavian Wicks, two for 32.
28:59Makai Lemon, three for 29. Meanwhile, Chris Bell and Malik Washington, it's nothing special happening, but there are 17 targets between them.
29:07Like, they're not destroying. The ironic part about those four top wide receivers is that all four are terrible plays this week.
29:14Like, you're going up against the Rams and the Vikings, respectively.
29:18So, I don't know that I want to put any into my starting lineup.
29:22And if I'm not putting any into my starting lineup, I would go with the rookies, Chris Bell and Makai Lemon, as,
29:30you know, the hold and look for the future for them to progress, to get more involved, to get better as NFL players.
29:37Chris Bell won't cost you much and is widely available.
29:41Yeah, I think if you're looking for a start this week, the best one to pick up and play might just be Kanata Mumfield.
29:49Yes. Because the chance that, you know, we saw a big week.
29:53What are you saying? Yeah. Who was that? Mum's the word, baby.
29:57Mum's the word. Look, four for 93 in a touchdown.
30:00Obviously, one of them, it was a huge play.
30:03But 73% of snaps. Puka Nakua may miss another week.
30:06You're not going to have Terrence Ferguson this week.
30:09You know, Higby will be involved. But, look, Mumfield, the matchup, the Eagles, we just watched a no-name.
30:15If Khalif Raymond can do it, Mumfield can do it.
30:19So, to me, that's like your probably low competition pick up and start.
30:23Yeah, you could also throw Jacoby Myers out there.
30:26Jacoby Myers is higher up for me as well.
30:29He's a better wide receiver. He's, you know, a part of the system.
30:33Brian Thomas Jr. has been taken to the back of the shed.
30:37He had eight targets this last week. And then the matchup on the road against Cincinnati, you expect a shootout there between Jacksonville, Cincinnati.
30:45It's a game you want, you know, pieces of.
30:48I would also say this week, if you're picking someone up because you need to start this week, depending on, you know,
30:56if it is a flex level, like, you know, it's not your wide receiver one or two, you might want to pick
31:03up and start a tight end over some of these wide receivers this week.
31:08They've been scoring a lot. Which is a rare thing.
31:11I just think there's some names there where I prefer a lot of the stash and holds at wide receiver versus the play this week.
31:19And I think that there's some matchups and some injuries at tight end that can push you that way.
31:26I will say, not available in any of my leagues.
31:29Probably not available in yours. But it says 25% of leagues, Jordan Addison is out there.
31:34So just check if he is out there. He's 75% rostered?
31:38Yeah. So people didn't let him go early and then now there's a chance that it's a benefit?
31:44Yeah, absolutely. I think with Kyler there and potentially no Jefferson, that could be a good start.
31:50Ready for the drop candidates at wide receivers? Sure.
31:53By the way, some other names we could mention real quick.
31:56Roman Wilson, Pat Bryant. I think chasing Roman Wilson is wild because last week it was Jeremy Bernard.
32:02And I think it's going to rotate around. Darn it, Washington got a ton of work instead of Friar Muth.
32:09Well, Roman Wilson was good last week. He was, yeah.
32:12Except he had the Dumbo play where it bounces off of him and turns into an interception and a score.
32:19And he kind of got benched after that. By Rodgers, probably.
32:23I would imagine that the captain had something to say about it.
32:27But Roman, over the first month or so of the, not or so, over the first three weeks, Roman's looked like the best wide receiver on that team.
32:36It seems like he, you know, Rodgers hates Pittman maybe even more than he hates Roman Wilson.
32:42And so, yeah. He can make half his own thing.
32:45Are you cutting Quentin Johnston? Yes. Rashid Shahid. Yeah.
32:48Michael Pittman. Yeah. Brian Thomas. Oh, landmine. Yeah. I think he's a drop in a landmine.
32:53Yeah. Marv? Anytime you would start Britain's Change every week over Brian Thomas, you're in trouble.
32:59Marvin Harrison Jr. I think, oh man, that's tough.
33:01I'm not, I probably don't cut him. Landmine. That's sort of like, I mean, are you cutting Metcalf?
33:07I mean, you're not cutting Metcalf. No. Metcalf's getting too much work.
33:11Godwin? I mean, you're going to have no Baker for a while.
33:15I just feel like the upside is gone. Yeah.
33:18I wasn't rostering Godwin already. Can't cut him. Very proud of that fact.
33:23Very cute. But yeah, it's like Keenan. If you're talking about the Battle of the Olds, I'd rather have Keenan right now.
33:30Man. Khalif Raymond? Dude, superstar. Mumford and Sons? Mumfield and Sons.
33:34Or Raymond. Everybody loves Raymond. Raymond. Long term. What is the roster percentage on Raymond?
33:39Because maybe he's too low. I'm seeing 13.9. So, would you take Chris Bell or Raymond?
33:44Because I don't want to ignore Raymond if we're here at the top.
33:48No, I'll go Chris Bell in that one. But Raymond is, let me go.
33:53Raymond is right now my wide receiver five. And that's behind Malik Washington.
33:57So, maybe that's not the right call. I'm telling you, if he hits 50% roster percentage, it's over.
34:03Yeah. It's over. That's great. Everyone pick him up because that means that it's burden and loveling time.
34:09That's a good point. We could do it. All right.
34:13Let's take a break and we'll talk tight ends and quarterbacks.
34:16All right. The Grand Kenyon, Sadiq, is going to be the dude at the tight end position for the week.
34:23He's 33% rostered. There's been, you know, Jason picked him up, held him, dropped him, picked him back up.
34:29I made a trade offer for him. This was why.
34:33I mean, there was the chance that you were going to see a breakout performance.
34:38It's not a coincidence. It happened and coincided with Mason Taylor missing a week.
34:42And Adonai Mitchell. And Adonai Mitchell. Yeah. And playing in Detroit.
34:46Okay. It was a nice. So temper the expectations.
34:49Is that what we're doing? I would temper the expectations.
34:52However, we're not sure that Mason Taylor or Adonai's back.
34:56He's going to Chicago, another great matchup. And this is a player that, I mean, he was drafted with.
35:02Once you break out. Yeah. Once you break out, you're going to break back in.
35:07You're going to play more and more. 58% of snaps, 57% of routes.
35:11That was, you know, the high so far for his early career.
35:15He looked great. His yards after the catch, his speed.
35:19He really looks like a hybrid wide receiver tight end.
35:22He doesn't look like a wide receiver to me.
35:25And he doesn't look like a tight end to me.
35:28He's like a thick, big boy wide receiver. I mean, 6'3", 240.
35:32So he's not like a towering tight end. No, he runs around like Anquan Bolden.
35:37That's what it reminds me of. Yes, totally. He runs around like Heinz Ward or something.
35:43Like he's a boulder and he is an athletic freak.
35:46He's a mismatch on every play. He's my number one pickup this week.
35:50Of all players? Across all positions, including the running backs.
35:54I don't mind that. I think that Sadiq has the chance to be a difference maker.
35:59He's two for me. Yeah. I have Allen at the top just for plug and play need.
36:05But Sadiq. Allen? Braylon. Braylon Allen. Oh, okay. Josh.
36:08Not Keaton. No, not Keaton. Yeah, Josh. If Josh Allen is out there.
36:12If Josh Allen is out there, drop your fat.
36:15Yeah, I probably would. Not Keaton though. Yeah. No, no, no, no.
36:19Not Allen Robinson. Keaton is my wide receiver five.
36:22Yeah. Not Tim Allen? No, he's in the comedian list.
36:25Okay. So stupid. We don't show that. So Sadiq.
36:28Yeah, he's two for me. I have Chris. I've got Ollie.
36:32I've got Ollie at the top. Darren Waller though, eight targets, five for 51.
36:37If Coker's out for an extended period of time, I think Waller will get more and more opportunities that aren't just red zone opportunities.
36:45Detroit matchup this week. Should be juicy. That's the best matchup for tight ends right now?
36:50This is another one of those where I was saying, you know, if you need a spot start at your flex, I
36:57think Waller might be better than some of these other wide receivers.
37:01You know he's used around the end zone. He's needed.
37:05He's getting more and more involved. He was injured, you know, late into camp and was getting worse.
37:11He was also just a late pickup. Yeah, late pickup and old as dirt.
37:15So he's just getting more and more involved. I expect him to have probably his highest snaps, highest route percentage share this week in a good matchup.
37:24So five targets last week is pretty good for a player like that, especially one that's looked for around the end zone.
37:32And then, I mean, you know, it's tough. You don't want to fall into the trap.
37:37But Tyler Higbee, you know, the reason I wanted Terrence Ferguson is because the second target for the Rams is enormously valuable.
37:44And if Puka continues to miss and Terrence Ferguson, we know, is not playing and Colby Parkinson got injured.
37:51Like, so here's the question. 11 targets. I think people are going to have a problem with they picked up Ferguson.
37:58We don't know how long he's going to miss.
38:01We don't know when Puka is coming back. Would you just drop Ferguson to play Higbee this week if you need a one week start?
38:09Because so tough. That's where it's really, really tough to me.
38:13I think you got to do what you got to do.
38:16I really don't want to drop Terrence Ferguson. But if you need to, if you can't roster two tight ends, which sometimes
38:24you can't if you've a shorter bench or other injured players, then you can move on from Terrence.
38:30There's another category of tight end roster or managers, which is I've got Colson Loveland.
38:35So I already have two tight ends. I picked up Ferguson to play instead of Loveland.
38:40I can't drop Loveland. Exactly. Exactly. Then you have to move on to Ferguson.
38:45But I will say this. Ferguson, in his own right, is a good pickup.
38:49Like, he will probably be dropped in a lot of leagues.
38:53We always say drop it like it's hot. Make sure you're looking at when your waivers go through, not just who got who, but who dropped who.
39:02And Ferguson will be dropped in a lot of leagues.
39:05If you have the extra room for him for a couple weeks from now, I would roster him.
39:11And then if you need another start, Brenton Strange, good matchup this week.
39:15Maybe an opportunity with the, I don't know, deletion of Brian Thomas Jr.
39:20Well, they ran, we brought it up on the show, they ran a lot of 12.
39:25Like, the snap counts for Jacoby and Parker were the exact same as Brenton Strange.
39:30Yeah. Defenses this week. Hello, Minnesota. There's a reason Mike and I both tried to get them last week in the league,
39:37knowing that the Tampa, you know, Miami combo was coming up.
39:41We got outbid. But Minnesota this week against Miami is the go-to must pickup.
39:46Now they're 80% roster. Yeah. People signed them to play against Tampa.
39:50Baltimore as well. Baltimore has Tennessee this week. I think that's why they're sitting on Mike's roster.
39:55Correct. Yeah, that's cool. That's against me too. But they're 69% rostered.
39:59You know, the best, by the way, do you know who the number one scoring fantasy defense is in the national football?
40:07The way you're asking, I would guess the Raiders.
40:10Yeah, that's what I would assume because you're a Raiders fan too.
40:14Yeah, that would be the Raiders. Yeah. The Raiders who, you know, they played New Orleans this past week.
40:20Still had a double digit fantasy performance because the, I think they forced four fumbles, three sacks, interception.
40:26They're kind of a just ferocious defense right now.
40:29They get to play the Raiders. Or, sorry, the Chiefs.
40:32They get to play the Chiefs this week. So, I do think they're interesting long term.
40:38I think the Packers are also a pretty good pickup.
40:41They're going to Tampa Bay and they're going to play.
40:44You know, we always try to target the quarterbacks.
40:47You want quarterbacks that are going to make mistakes, throw picks, take sacks.
40:52And when you have kind of an undrafted free agent rookie quarterback making his first start.
40:57Jaden Daniels. That is a nice player to target.
41:00They got Jalen Daniels? We have Jalen Daniels at home.
41:03Look, I am still a little bit burned from the Packers against Michael Penix.
41:08But I get it. It should be fine. And to that point, nobody has been worse than Winston.
41:14And the Cardinals play Winston this week and they do it.
41:18It's tough. It's tough because the Cardinals, I mean, Winston throws picks.
41:22He loves to throw picks. And thus far, also no completions.
41:25Yeah. He doesn't do the completions, but he's doing the picks.
41:29But it's like Arizona Cardinals last week, no sacks, no interceptions, no fumbles.
41:33Oh, they have the worst pressure rate of anybody.
41:36You know, points allowed. But I get it. I get it.
41:40I think it might be okay. All right. That was the waiver wire presented by T-Mobile.
41:45When you're updating your roster right before kickoff, you've got coverage you can count on.
41:50Just another reason game days are better with T-Mobile.
41:53Check it out at T-Mobile.com slash membership. Let's do some full stream ahead.
41:58Mason, you're putting your finger up saying, pause. The wind.
42:01Checking the wind. I'm just going to throw a name out there.
42:05Oh, no. Disgusting. Hold on. You already threw Caleb out there.
42:09You can, you know, if you've got room, he's going to pick up Tyreek Hill.
42:14He's going to come back at some point. We're so far away.
42:18You think? Wasted spot. Wasted spot. Yeah. He said, I'm going to get off the couch and get to work.
42:24He'll join. He'll join the Chiefs in week 10.
42:27Yeah. I mean, it might be. If you care about that.
42:31It might be later. You can't IR him, though.
42:34Maybe. Like, there's. We know there's degenerates in like 16 team leagues and stuff like that.
42:39Okay. That's fine. Maybe. But in a standard 12 or 14, I don't.
42:44I'm not wasting the spot on Hill. We've got him in Dino Jr., Mike.
42:48That's a dynasty league. That's very different. All right.
42:51Let's get into the streams. Full stream ahead. All right.
42:55I think you're going to see some interesting names hit the waiver wire this week.
43:00And I think Bryce Young is going to be one of them.
43:04But I think Bryce Young is a good stream this week against Detroit.
43:08Sunday night football. The team has come out and taken responsibility for the gross mismanagement of Tedaro McMillan.
43:14I don't know if you saw that. Dave Canales came out and was just like, we're going to take all the heat on this.
43:22Like we didn't move them around, put them in a position to succeed.
43:26We didn't do what it takes. So that's nice of them to say.
43:31Yeah. Just how do it? How? How does that possibly happen?
43:34You know, games get away from you and the pressure was crazy.
43:38I mean, that's something we need to give credit to Mason Graham and those.
43:43The Browns are two and one for a reason.
43:46Yeah. And a lot of it's the defense has stepped up.
43:50Like people thought they would disappear with no Miles Garrett, but they have, you know, with Jared Verse and Mason Graham and that group.
43:58I just think Bryce Young, once they lost Coker, it was a disheveled offense.
44:02I think this will be a much different game.
44:05I don't know what the over-under is right now, but Bryce Young, I think, bounces back.
44:1150.5. Yeah. Yeah. I think he bounces back this week.
44:14And I think this was one of those guys, it's not a waiver pickup on Tuesday.
44:19It's a waiver pickup on Wednesday when he gets cut.
44:23When he gets cut, they drop it like it's hot.
44:26Yeah. I'm going to go with a guy who is very available.
44:30Eugene Cyril Smith III. Okay. Colloquially known as Geno Smith.
44:33My dude, the quarterback for the New York Jets.
44:36Talking about quarterback three from last week. 31 for 37.
44:4084% completion percentage. 321 and three. Got it done every day of the week.
44:44I talked about the offensive line has been holding up.
44:48Geno is okay if you can protect him. Yeah.
44:51And the offensive line has been pleasantly, I mean, look, he's 75.5% completion rate through three weeks.
44:56Sixth in passer rating. Eighth in total EPA among quarterbacks.
44:59He's playing good ball. And the Bears defense is beatable.
45:0325th in EPA per drop back. 29th in pressure rate, which that...
45:07That's in Chicago or at home? I believe that's in Chicago.
45:10So, so long as the weather. Yeah. I mean, whenever I'm like picking things like this, it's like, oh, they're outdoors in Chicago.
45:18Right. Oh, they're outdoors in San Francisco. Don't mean you.
45:21Oh, they're outdoors in New York. I'm just like, blah.
45:25I'm going with someone who will not be playing in the United States.
45:29We will go with Marcus Mariota. Oh, are they across the Colts?
45:33They are going over. They are playing in London.
45:36I love this one. And Mariota, he is a wild man because he can give you games like they did last week
45:43where you're like, holy crap, you beat the Seattle Seahawks.
45:47And then he can absolutely fall on his face.
45:50But he is available in... Everywhere. In about 94% of leagues.
45:53He was awesome. Threw for three touchdowns. The Colts defense is so bad.
45:58He's still running. And the Colts defense stinks. They're just...
46:01They're terrible. So, if you are... They're not going to win a lot of games.
46:06Like, if you are in the hellscape of quarterbacks...
46:09You mean the Drake May hellscape? Drake May, Justin Herbert.
46:12The Baker Mayfield hellscape? The Jackson Dart hellscape? If I would...
46:16The James Daniels hellscape? I'm not playing Drake May.
46:19We can do this forever, Mike. I'm not playing Drake May.
46:23I will... I'll put Marcus Mariota in there. Will you drop Drake May?
46:27He feels like a landmine at this point. For the next...
46:31We can drop him for Bo Nix. For the next...
46:34Yeah, I mean, Bo Nix was almost my stream of the week.
46:38I think he's another... Bo Nix is going to get...
46:41Like, I feel very confident that the Denver offense, after they get out of this, like, extremely tough part of the schedule
46:49and it opens up, their offense is going to be much better.
46:53And Drake May and the Patriots, will they improve?
46:56I think they will, especially when they get A.J.
46:59Brown back. But that's a long time from now.
47:02Yeah, that's like two months from now. Yeah, it's a landmine for a while.
47:06Yeah, that's crazy. A lot of decisions to be made this week.
47:10If you want custom waiver wire rankings, you can import your leagues, ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper.
