59

A.J. Brown

NegativeValue33:09

The source uses AJ Brown as a hypothetical comparison point when discussing whether to hold Tyreek Hill on the bench without an IR spot. The logic: if AJ Brown were available on waivers and you had to hold him for six weeks without IR, everyone would agree it's worth the bench space. This frames the Tyreek Hill hold as potentially justified if his upside is comparable.

Insight page

Alvin Kamara

NegativeRole0:32

Was banged up during Week 4 and briefly taken off the field, but returned to score a touchdown late in the game; CJ Donaldson received carries during Kamara's absence, suggesting potential snap/touch management going forward.

Insight page
NegativeUsage6:41

Alvin Camara had 23 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns in a Saints game where the offensive line and injury to A-Chan (Andrus Peat) compounded offensive struggles; the source notes the Saints lack both a running game and offensive line, creating a troubled offensive situation.

Insight page
NegativeUsage10:41

Alvin Camara had 23 rushing yards but scored two touchdowns in a recent Saints game, indicating that while his rushing volume was limited, he maintained touchdown upside. The source notes that touchdowns went to Camara rather than to other Saints running backs.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveSleeper46:44

Antonio Williams is a secret start rostered in only 15% of leagues with no Terry McLaurin available; rookie who has looked really good despite limited 40% snap share, showing strong production when given opportunities; had a massive touchdown called back on penalty last week; with Jaden Daniels back and McLaurin out, positioned as fun pickup with potential to ascend and become more integrated into the offense.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveRole7:08

With Kirk Cousins' replacement at quarterback, Atlanta's offense has transformed dramatically; play action is now highly effective with Bijan and Bryan Robinson in the backfield. The source notes Bijan was so productive early in a recent game that the speaker wondered if a 60-point fantasy performance was coming, indicating elite usage and efficiency in the new scheme.

Insight page

Brian Robinson

PositiveRole7:08

Bryan Robinson is part of Atlanta's transformed offensive scheme under the new quarterback, with play action becoming highly effective. He scored three touchdowns in a recent game, bailing out the speaker's fantasy team and demonstrating significant touchdown upside in the new system.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeUsage42:20

Brock Bowers is the primary tight end for the Raiders but plays fewer snaps than Michael Mayer; the source notes this is an unusual situation where both tight ends are relevant in an offense with limited wide receiver depth, with Bowers as the every-week star but Mayer also garnering significant usage.

Insight page

Chris Brooks

NegativeInjury25:25

Chris Brooks is dealing with a potentially significant injury for the Packers; this development was not initially mentioned in the news but warrants attention for fantasy purposes.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeInjury0:35

Suffered a right knee hyperextension on a crossing pattern in garbage time late in Week 4 against Atlanta; limped off the field. The injury occurred with the Saints down 45-24 with 3-4 minutes remaining, raising concerns about unnecessary risk-taking by the coaching staff in a non-competitive situation.

Insight page
NegativeInjury5:51

Chris Olave suffered a potential knee injury and requires monitoring. The source expresses frustration about the injury risk, noting that despite Olave being a productive machine in the Saints offense, injury concerns are a significant downside.

Insight page

CJ Donaldson

NegativeUsage0:21

Received multiple handoff carries late in Week 4 when the Saints were in a non-competitive situation (down 45-24), suggesting he may be part of the backfield rotation or available for increased work if Kamara's injury status becomes a concern.

Insight page

Cody White

NegativeUsage44:00

Cody White received 5 targets last week for the Raiders, making him the second-most targeted wide receiver behind Trey Tucker in an offense with limited receiver depth.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

NegativeInjury46:54

DJ Moore is dealing with an injury that is not long-term, but may warrant giving him a week off despite playing through it previously; his absence opens up opportunities for Keon Coleman.

Insight page

Darren Waller

PositiveRole42:16

If Jefferson is out due to injury, the source would still play Hawkinson, indicating elevated tight end role and target opportunity when the Vikings' top wide receiver is unavailable.

Insight page
NegativeProjection50:30

Darren Waller was dropped due to bye week timing; holding him over the bye week is not worth the roster spot when other players could provide trade value or starting value during the bye.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

PositiveProjection12:23

The source jokingly suggests going all-in on Deshaun Watson in the context of Cardinals injuries, implying bright days ahead for the quarterback despite the team's injury woes.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveRole5:03

Drake London is performing as a machine in the Falcons offense with Kirk Cousins' replacement at quarterback. The source indicates that buying low on Drake London was a smart move given the dramatic offensive transformation.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection27:07

Drake May appeared emotionally destroyed and lacked confidence through the first three weeks, but the source believes he regained his groove in Week 5, which could unlock his receiving weapons like Romeo Dobbs.

Insight page
NegativeProjection45:46

Drake May appeared to have the yips but may have regained his groove; his performance improvement directly impacts Romeo Dobbs' upside.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup50:50

Drake Maye is a streaming quarterback option this week after being dropped in leagues following his breakout performance last week; he faces the Las Vegas Raiders at home where the Patriots are 3.5-point favorites. The source notes the Raiders' defense has been good but the offense has also been good, and Maye looked great last week, making this a favorable matchup to take a risk on.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveValue9:14

Emmanuel Wilson is identified as the best temporary running back option for Week 5, with over 60% roster ownership. The source recommends Wilson over Algier and Keaton Mitchell for one-week start purposes, calling him the best short-term play.

Insight page

Ian Thomas

PositiveUsage44:00

Ian Thomas scored a touchdown and received multiple targets in the Raiders game, indicating involvement in an offense with limited wide receiver depth that relies on tight ends.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeInjury10:10

Jamar Chase is in the concussion protocol heading into week five against Miami; the source notes that concussion protocol is difficult to clear on a one-week basis, but if Chase clears he will be fine, with the Bengals' week six bye providing recovery time.

Insight page

Jacoby Brissett

PositiveMatchup48:57

Jacoby Brissett is a streaming quarterback option against Detroit; the Cardinals face a 54.5 over/under game, and the Detroit defense allows over 300 passing yards per game. The source notes Detroit's defense has allowed QB1, QB3, and QB5 performances in recent weeks (Josh Allen, Geno Smith, Bryce Young), making it a favorable matchup despite Brissett's inconsistency and the Cardinals' poor record.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeInjury9:18

Jadarian Price is on injured reserve, contributing to the Seahawks' running back depth chart complications following Joe Mixon's signing.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveRole48:49

Jaden Daniels is back after missing time, which improves the outlook for Antonio Williams as a rookie who can ascend and become more integrated into the offense.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeInjury3:10

The source mentions news about Jeremiah Love and suggests he probably won't miss time, but uses this information to contextualize the Cardinals' backfield situation and recommend Algier as a pickup over Keaton Mitchell.

Insight page
NegativeInjury11:57

Jeremiah Love tweaked his other ankle in the week four loss for the Cardinals; the source had previously identified him as a trade candidate but now faces compounded ankle injury concerns, limiting his immediate upside.

Insight page

Joe Mixon

PositiveRole9:14

Joe Mixon is signing with the Seahawks; the source expresses hope that Mixon becomes the Seahawks' first true workhorse running back, getting all the work in the backfield, noting this would be a significant development for the Seahawks offense.

Insight page
PositiveRole9:46

The source expresses desire for Joe Mixon to be the Seahawks' first true workhorse back, receiving all the work in the backfield.

Insight page
NegativeProjection50:02

Joe Mixon was getting picked up all over the place on Sunday before even having a team, illustrating how hope drives waiver wire activity in fantasy football.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveMatchup51:33

Jordan Love is a favorable streaming quarterback option in the game environment against Chicago; however, the source cautions to watch for potentially windy conditions at Lambeau that could impact passing volume.

Insight page

Justice Hill

NegativeRole15:26

Hill's snap share and rushing attempts have increased significantly as the Ravens employ a three-back committee approach, with his rushing share rising while Mitchell's has declined. The source notes the team's overall dysfunction makes it difficult to trust any Ravens running back in fantasy.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

NegativeUsage20:27

Mitchell's rushing attempt share has collapsed dramatically over the last three weeks: 82% to 63% to 38%, despite playing fewer snaps than competing backs. The source expresses concern about the direction of the Ravens' backfield committee approach, noting Mitchell was coming off injury to start the season but the team hasn't won a game and faces a difficult five-game stretch as underdogs.

Insight page
PositiveRole23:58

The source prefers Keaton Mitchell over Algier because coaches appear to want Mitchell to be the featured back; he recorded 10 carries and 6 targets in recent action, establishing a dual-threat role despite the challenging running back landscape.

Insight page

Keon Coleman

PositiveSleeper46:44

Keon Coleman is a secret start rostered in only 15% of leagues with high-scoring game environment against the Rams; caught 7 targets for 116 yards and 1 TD, showing strong efficiency with targets; valuable piece as long as DJ Moore is out, though hesitant to start if Moore returns; coaches spent entire offseason praising him and he's looked the part.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeInjury7:47

Lamar Jackson suffered an ankle injury with an outside chance to play in week 5; the injury is not considered long-term or surgical and appears to be a classic high ankle sprain, which historically results in either no missed games or three missed games; when he returns, he is expected to not be quite as mobile, which is a concern given his outstanding recent play.

Insight page

Mack Hollins

NegativeInjury26:50

Mack Hollins suffered a non-contact calf injury that is not expected to be long-term (not Achilles-related) but should sideline him for approximately one to two games.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeBust25:28

Marshawn Lloyd has been cut by many fantasy managers and is only 51% rostered; the source explicitly states they do not want him, citing fumble issues and poor offensive performance from the Packers.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

PositiveValue50:12

Matthew Stafford is a buy-low streaming option this week despite a poor performance last week; he was only 49% started and likely to be dropped further after his bad outing, but faces a favorable Monday Night Football matchup against Buffalo with a 54.5 over/under that will feature high volume passing. The source recommends picking him back up if he's been dropped.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

PositiveUsage42:20

Michael Mayer has 10 targets and 8 receptions for 82 yards on 12.7% rostered; the source notes he is playing more snaps than Brock Bowers and is relevant in an offense with limited wide receiver depth beyond Trey Tucker, making him a viable flex option despite Bowers being the primary tight end.

Insight page

Pat Bryant

PositiveInjury11:31

Pat Bryant will miss a few weeks with a sprained ankle; the source reports this as positive news because the injury mechanism suggests it is not season-ending, contrasting with more severe outcomes.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeRole44:00

Puka Nacua returned from injury this week, reducing Tyler Higbee's role expectations; however, Higbee still received 6 targets and 67 receiving yards, indicating continued involvement in the Rams' passing game.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeInjury32:17

The source reports that Rashee Rice's injury news was more positive than initially feared; it could be just a slight hamstring injury rather than a long-term concern. This contrasts with Tyquan Thornton's injury (12-16 weeks, potentially into playoffs).

Insight page

Rashid Shaheed

NegativeUsage10:02

Rashid Shaheed played okay but did not run the ball effectively in a recent Saints game, receiving only one garbage touchdown. The source expresses concern that if Shaheed isn't running, his fantasy value becomes brutal, indicating a significant downside to his role.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

PositiveSleeper26:50

Romeo Dobbs is the source's clear top wide receiver pickup at 59% rostered; with Mack Hollins sidelined by a non-contact calf injury expected to cost him a game or two, Dobbs finally showed good usage and the source believes Drake May regained confidence after struggling the first three weeks.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout45:51

Romeo Dobbs looks even better if Drake May regains his groove after appearing to have the yips; positioned as a secret start with low roster percentage and very interesting upside.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeInjury8:42

Saquon Barkley is week-to-week with a hamstring injury.

Insight page

Tank Bigsby

NegativeInjury8:50

Tank Bigsby is on injured reserve due to core muscle repair surgery; the source notes this escalated quickly in the injury timeline.

Insight page

Tank Dell

PositiveInjury11:51

Tank Dell will have his practice window opened this week for the Texans; the source expresses enthusiasm about his return to regular football activity, though notes he is still far from being fantasy-relevant immediately.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

NegativeInjury10:10

Tee Higgins is day-to-day with an adductor strain heading into week five; the source identifies this as the bigger injury concern for the Bengals compared to Jamar Chase's concussion protocol status, especially with a week six bye coming.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeInjury47:03

Terry McLaurin is out, creating opportunity for Antonio Williams to see increased playing time and targets.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

PositiveUsage43:00

Trey Tucker is the primary wide receiver for the Raiders with 8 targets last week; the source prefers him over Michael Mayer in a flex decision and notes he is the only notable wide receiver in an offense that relies heavily on tight ends due to limited receiver depth.

Insight page

Tyler Higbee

PositiveRole44:00

Tyler Higbee is worth playing this week despite Puka Nacua's return; he had 6 targets and 5 receptions for 67 yards last week in a high-scoring game environment (54.5 over/under) against Buffalo where the Rams will be throwing frequently. The source notes Higbee is the last healthy tight end standing for the Rams after injuries to other options, making him a free pickup with game script upside.

Insight page

Tyquan Thornton

NegativeInjury32:32

Tyquan Thornton suffered a significant injury (12-16 weeks, potentially affecting playoff availability). Despite the injury severity, the source notes Thornton had a 25-point game for the Chiefs offense, illustrating his ceiling when healthy and available.

Insight page

Tyreek Hill

PositiveValue31:25

The source views Tyreek Hill as a very important pickup despite uncertainty around his return timeline (originally targeting November). The reasoning: if he returns to form, he could be a top-15 wide receiver for fantasy; his talent and ability justify a speculative hold on bench if roster construction allows. The source would spend approximately 20% of FAB to acquire him, betting on upside potential even though recent production (81 rec, 959 yards in 17 weeks in 2024; 10 points per game last two weeks in Miami) has declined from his peak.

Insight page
NegativeProjection49:05

Tyreek Hill currently has no NFL team and is rostered in 54% of leagues despite being unsigned; while the Chiefs are the natural destination due to their bye week, they are not the guaranteed destination; Hill has ego and wants to be paid commensurate with his history, and it's unclear if the Chiefs are willing to pay that money; timeline for his return is uncertain, originally targeting November, and he takes a roster spot rather than going on IR, which is brutal at this time of year.

Insight page

Will Shipley

NegativeRole23:40

Shipley is in a difficult offensive situation dependent on Jalen Hurts with no DeVante Smith and no Lane Johnson available, making his situation tougher than Arizona's matchup against Detroit. The source uses this comparison to justify recommending Algier over Shipley as a waiver pickup.

0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
0:05Welcome in. Welcome to Tuesday. October 6th, the Fantasy Footballers Podcast.
0:09Mike Wright, Jason Moore, Andy Holloway. Waiver Day. Week 4 is over.
0:12We had a game. A lot of points. A lot of points.
0:16I mean, mostly good points. There were a few.
0:19Oh, the garbage they can. There was the stinkiest of garbage at the end there.
0:24I mean, it was dangerous garbage. That was like eating a tenderloin that had been left out all day.
0:30That's dangerous. You would know some about that. I would know a little bit something.
0:35But if you hurt my Olave, if Olave is seriously hurt...
0:38I mean, I don't under... 45-24. You're down 45-17.
0:41There's three, four minutes left in the game. Tyler Shuck has hurt his left hand at this point.
0:47There's no conceivable fashion in which you can come back in this game.
0:51No. And you end up... You're trying to get momentum, I guess.
0:55And you know what? What was so weird about that final drive of the game, because I'm...
1:00So I was in a matchup with Jason in League of Shadows, another one of our leagues, and he needed like 17
1:07points from Shuck and Vele to win. It was just like...
1:11I assumed going in that I'm going to win.
1:14I mean, yeah. Like Shuck should do that by himself, no Vele.
1:17And we're going into that final drive. I'm up a point.
1:21I'm up a point in this game. And the drive starts, and it's handoff, handoff, handoff to CJ Donaldson.
1:27Right? It's just... It's just... Right? Like... And by the way, he plays football for the Saints.
1:32Yeah. Because Kamara was banged up, and you're like, okay, we'll take him off the field.
1:37Although Kamara came back in to score the touchdown.
1:40Yeah. Well, because Kendra was like, I got the butterhams.
1:44Kendra gets... Any opportunity Kendra gets, he blows. They apparently...
1:47He has five fumbles already this year? It seems...
1:50It feels like five. Is that true? It feels like 50.
1:53That's what the graphics said. I mean, that's insane.
1:56That's every time you get the ball. He doesn't get the ball that much.
2:00It can't be five. That's impossible. Maybe five out of the last 15 carries, but...
2:05Maybe. I guess I see two, but maybe that's just two lost.
2:09But for those that weren't watching the end of this game, because you had no reason to, CJ Donaldson starts getting the football.
2:16And so it's obvious that if you're going to hand the ball off, the Saints are conceding.
2:22Yeah. We're on to week five. You don't hand the ball off a bunch of times.
2:27We're good. But then all of a sudden, it's like you get the third down, and he's the bombs.
2:33I mean, he threw a bomb down the sideline trying to get Vele, trying to get Olave.
2:38And then they drive down for the dirtiest, stinkiest garbage time stuff that I've ever seen.
2:43I don't know if you do, if you're watching it.
2:47But Olave comes on a crossing pattern, gets tackled, hyperextends his right knee.
2:51It's as clear as day in the video. Now, it didn't look wild.
2:55There was no guarantee that this is a major injury or anything.
2:59But he limps off the field. Yeah. What are you doing?
3:02And this is not revisionist history or hindsight being 20-20.
3:05We were all in Slack like... Please. Stop. Why is Olave on the field?
3:10Stop it. Why are these players... I love some shot points.
3:13But this is dumb. Yeah, you gotta put the backups in and move on to the next week with your guys healthy.
3:20You're a team that is trying to compete in a winnable division.
3:24And man, to put that risk out there... I mean, look, if it goes well, fantasy-wise, yay!
3:30We'll take garbage points, but not at that cost.
3:32It's crazy. And, you know, Atlanta's a different team.
3:35Oh, yeah. Who is this team? This team is...
3:38If you want to know the if-this-then-that implications of a quarterback change, look no further than the Atlanta Falcons.
3:44People don't realize that it's not just like, hey, your offense kind of sucks.
3:49Like, if your defense gets a break, guess what?
3:52You're a better defense. Yeah. You can rush the passer.
3:55You can blitz more often. You can keep teams honest.
3:58You know what they need to do because your offense is a threat.
4:02Or if your defense is having to come on the field in their own red zone because the offense turned it over,
4:09the quarterback changes everything for these teams. Did you see the stat, by the way?
4:14It was... The first two games of the season, Atlanta was the worst offense in football.
4:19The last two weeks of the season, they are the best offense in football.
4:23That is an insane... 35 points and 45 points the last two weeks scored by Atlanta.
4:28Play action is just a machine now with Bijon and then Bryan Robinson.
4:33I was up by like 6,000 points to Mike.
4:35There was a point in that game when it started the way it did with Bijon that I was like, is this a 60-point game from Bijon coming?
4:44Yeah, you were basically up by 60 and not worried and then it's like the way that started.
4:50But the other B. Robinson bailed you out and scored three touchdowns.
4:54That was frustrating. That was very, very frustrating. Yeah, I mean, it was absolutely...
4:58It was a crazy game. And, you know, I think Olave is a machine.
5:03Bijon is a machine. Drake London with Penix is a machine.
5:06If you bought low on any of those things...
5:09And the... It was... I know that the quarterback helps get your defense in check.
5:14But... It wasn't... Like... It wasn't completely the offense's fault that they got throttled by the Carolina Panthers.
5:20In week two. They lost 3-34. Like, that was...
5:23That's not all on... That's not on the offense.
5:25Like, it's just weird. This team has truly transformed.
5:28The Saints... My Saints... Look, I have enough losing in my life.
5:32New Orleans. If you would like to continue to be my team, I need you to fix it.
5:38Yeah, it was a crazy game and, you know, they're 1-3.
5:41The New Orleans Saints for all the good that we've seen is 1-3 at this point in time, Mike.
5:47All right, let's talk news. News and notes from around the league.
5:51So, yeah, you'll have to monitor Chris Olave with the potential knee injury and, you know, shake your fist at the sky if he's hurt.
5:59Yeah. Also, Shuck, just start running. What happened to that?
6:02Where did that guy go? I don't... Because this is...
6:06The thing, like, the touchdown... Shuck played okay. He just...
6:09I mean, he got the one garbage touchdown. But the touchdowns went to Camara.
6:13So, when that happens, it's like, if you aren't running, then it's brutal.
6:17But that was very bizarre that he didn't. So, my concern...
6:2163% completion percentage, 286 yards, no interceptions. That's a good job of setting the edge, to be honest.
6:27I felt like... Two weeks ago, I said, I'm very worried about the Saints offense because of the fact that...
6:33Because of the line. The offensive line. And the injury to A-Chan was compounding it.
6:38Because... Say what you want about... Is A-Chan going?
6:41Donaldson? Yeah. I mean, like, Alvin Camara had 23 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns.
6:45Donaldson is the next man up after that. Kendrick Miller fumbles everything.
6:49If you don't have a running game, C, C, colon, Green Bay Packers.
6:53If you don't have a running game, and you don't have an offensive line, which is what both of those teams' situations are, guess what?
7:01You've got two troubled teams, right? You've got two...
7:04Are the Packers 1-3? Or are they 2-2? I don't remember.
7:08But, I mean, both of these teams have the same problem.
7:11Should be 2. But the pass rush... There was a point in this game where Tyler Shuck...
7:17Yeah, they're 2-2. There was a point in the game where Tyler Shuck just looked skittish to me.
7:22Because he knew what was coming in the... Oh, because he was kidding at...
7:27Yeah. He was getting squished. And he played, I think, as good as you can play with that situation.
7:33He was willing to take massive hits, but you've got injury risk now on the table for him.
7:39You talk about don't want to run the football.
7:41I mean, like him. Like, I get it. You're probably tired from getting up.
7:46Lamar Jackson. Ankle. Outside chance to play in week 5.
7:49Could miss multiple games, but injury is not considered long-term or surgical.
7:53This seems like the classic high ankle sprain, which the data says you basically either miss no games or three games.
8:00So hopefully he's back this week. I will say that you would expect when he gets back him to not be quite
8:07as mobile, which is a shame because he was playing outstanding.
8:10I mean, even this last week, you look at it, it's like, oh, he had a good fantasy game.
8:16He played half the game. He would have been the quarterback one on the week if he, you know, got a second half.
8:24So be healthy, Lamar. Ben Johnson said Tyson Bajit will start in week 5 against the Packers as we wait for Caleb's return.
8:31Secret Bajit man getting another start. Bears are 3-1.
8:34Yeah, they're doing all right. Saquon Barkley week to week with a hamstring injury.
8:38Tank Bigsby is on IR. Yeah, that escalated quickly.
8:41Core muscle repair surgery. Core muscle number two with one guy with a pre pre hernia.
8:46That's the report on. Wink. He doesn't have a hernia.
8:49Yeah, it's not a hernia. I think we all pre hernia.
8:53I don't have diabetes. I have a couple of pre hernias.
8:56I've got pre diabetes. I think we all have pre hernias.
9:00Yeah, at this point. That's true. At any moment picking up something heavy.
9:04Yeah. Yeah. I'm pre hernia for sure. I'm ready to have a hernia at any moment.
9:09At any time. Seahawks are signing Joe Mixon. He is going to join the Seahawks.
9:14So you will now have a Mixon, Salami, Emmanuel, Wilson, Waver Day today.
9:18We'll talk about it. And Jadarian Price on IR.
9:21And Charbonnet. I forgot. There's five. Yeah. You know what they say when you have five running backs.
9:27You've got five. You've got five. It is very bizarre for, for Joe Mixon to launch incredible work by Joe Mixon's PR
9:34team of putting out that hype video of him being the one like, what happened to Joe Mixon?
9:39He's like, you could have told us. And then immediately.
9:43That seems like you got signed the next day after that video.
9:46He really did. You know what I want to have happen more than anything.
9:51I want for the first time ever, this version of the Seahawks to have a workhorse.
9:56And it's just Joe Mixon. Joe Mixon is the guy who comes in and gets all the work.
10:02What's funny is, is that, and we'll discuss. I'll wait.
10:05Let's wait to have the conversation around Emmanuel Wilson in the, in the waiver show.
10:10But I have thoughts about what's going to happen here.
10:13I will be wrong. Uh, T Higgins is day to day with his adductor strain.
10:18Jamar Chase is in the concussion protocol. And here's the thing.
10:21We're going into week five. Mike already. That's what Mike sound.
10:25Give me that sound again, Mike. Mm hmm. So listen, the Cincinnati Bengals have a week six by so concussion protocol is
10:32a, it's a tough achievement on a one week basis.
10:35That's kind of its own thing of like, if Chase clears, he'll be fine.
10:39It's T Higgins. That's the bigger problem. Well, but they probably are going to need these wide receivers to beat the, oh, it's the dolphins.
10:47Okay. To me, it's like, if Chase is, if Chase is on the edge here, the, and you've been winning with your defense.
10:54I don't know. You could, you could definitely secure a couple of injury situations by giving them the bye week.
11:01I don't know. I mean, we saw what happened to the Vikings.
11:05They were like, we're going to go without Justin Jefferson.
11:08They barely beat the dolphins. Oh, I thought you were gonna say they won.
11:12They won. They did. They did. It didn't work fine.
11:16It was very close. Hey, look sticky gets sticky this week against Miami.
11:20If one of those guys is out, then yes.
11:23Wasn't it Hawkinson with 13 catches against Miami last week?
11:26Yeah. So something to pay attention to here on the waivers.
11:29All right. ESPN's Adam Schmatter reporting Broncos. Some guy.
11:32We don't know. We don't know. Pat Bryant will miss a few weeks suffering a sprained ankle.
11:37That is positive news because the mechanism of the injury was like, this might be, it might be the year.
11:44Yeah. So he's, they got good news on him and Pat Sertan in terms of not being season ending injuries.
11:50Tank Dell will have his practice window opened this week for the, I remember that guy for the own for Texans.
11:57This is wonderful. I mean, it's just like if he gets back and plays football on a weekly basis, this isn't forget fantasy.
12:04Yeah. I was going to say we're way off from like having him be relevant.
12:09Just the human. If he gets back and plays football on a regular basis.
12:13Right. What a, what a great thing. Oh, here we go.
12:17Cardinals. They Paris Johnson, their left tackle tore his bicep will be out for the year, but also Jeremiah love tweaked his
12:24other ankle in the week four loss. So, you know, that's a bit of an answer to the post game press conference where we were talking about yesterday.
12:33He was like, put somebody else in and then he didn't get a snap on the final drive.
12:39And we were like, what are you doing? That's what they were doing.
12:43That would make that. This is good news. And this is my fault because he was my trade for candidate.
12:49And I already have three, my guys in an MVP.
12:52Killing everybody. Three, my guys in an MVP out.
12:55And so I bring up Jeremiah's love loves name.
12:58And he's like that. I got two ankles. I can't.
13:01You gotta go all in on Deshaun Watson, man.
13:04You gotta, you gotta, you gotta claim them bright days ahead.
13:08Right. I mean, I signed Jamar chase in and he got a concussion instantly.
13:12Okay. Sorry, Mike. That's all right. You were collateral damage on that one.
13:16Yeah. My team will be done after this week if he misses the week.
13:21So, um, yeah. So Jeremiah love, you know, Tyler Algiers, the conversation today.
13:25Cause how much work does, does love get this week?
13:28And that game environment's going to be juicy. Who do they play?
13:32The Cardinals lions. Oh, that's right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
13:35The line. There's two games this week that are 54 and a half Rams and, uh, uh, Buffalo.
13:40I don't remember Kyle. Yeah. Oh boy. And, um, there you go.
13:44We'll take a break. We'll talk waivers or wire presented by T-Mobile.
13:48All right. We're here guys. We have bye weeks.
13:51The chiefs and Panthers are not here this week.
13:54So Ken Walker and that fantastic start. Rashid rice, who will get an extra week to recover.
13:59Walker probably needs a little bit of a rest.
14:02Honestly. Yeah. I'm pace for 400,000 opportunities. Um, but no Mahomes, no Kelsey, you know, no Ted, a row of McMillan.
14:09He gets a break as well or Chuba or Chuba.
14:12He's been so good. So week six, we have four teams week seven, four teams, but this week, just two.
14:18Um, let's go ahead and jump into the waiver wire.
14:22Starting at the running back position. We can continue the conversation here.
14:2561% rostered. He was a pickup last week, but Emmanuel Wilson, uh, playing against the chargers 21 for 81 and a touchdown
14:32for targets, another touchdown through the air to daring price on IR.
14:36George Salami's just, uh, you know, he's who we thought he was.
14:40He's an undrafted free agent who had like a dozen touches in his career before this year.
14:45And he's not that good. They signed Joe Mixon true, but Joe Mixon is not going to come right in and, and, you know, immediately take over.
14:54They've got Charbonnet's practice window open. That doesn't mean he's playing this week.
14:58That means they've got 21 days to activate him to the starting left quad.
15:03Yeah. It looked a lot smaller than the right quad.
15:06Oh, it like that happens. Yeah. I mean, it's normal.
15:09This is why people are always surprised when we're talking about like people coming back off of injuries.
15:15There's a ramp up period. Like Malik neighbors getting off to a slow start.
15:19Except for one dude. Except for, yeah, there's a man except for George.
15:23Yeah. There's a man. Did you see? He's different.
15:26He hit 19.5 miles per hour on his touchdown coming off a torn Achilles.
15:31Oh, any dude. I think that was faster than Rashid Shaheed did in that game or one of the studs.
15:37But you just know he's going to. I don't want to say it out loud.
15:42Stop it. It just always happens. It's what he does.
15:45He is awesome. He is awesome. I adore him.
15:48He's my guy last year. He's fantastic for fantasy when he's out there.
15:52Right. Stay out there. So I think Wilson is the, he's probably the number one running back.
15:57It's just the question of, do you feel like the work will continue?
16:02Because that's what this is. It's not about necessarily who's the greatest player at this point.
16:07It's who's going to get the work. I'm just concerned about how much fab.
16:11It's not whether he's a big pickup. It's just, he's also quite rostered.
16:15He's quite rostered. Like I would be, I'm going to say this for sure.
16:20Like I'd much rather have Ollie Gordon rest of the season than Emmanuel Wilson.
16:24Yes. Oh, for sure. I think Joe Mixon will get work and more work and more work in this offense.
16:31But at what point? I don't know how soon it's going to happen.
16:35I do think he's going to get like at some point in this season, he'll be getting as much work if not more than Emmanuel Wilson.
16:43Right. But Wilson is just like, he's a, this is a temporary fit.
16:47This is like a this week. San Francisco at home, Denver on the road, then Kansas City for the next three weeks.
16:54I'm just saying my, my spin would be desperation only.
16:57I agree. He's, he's not a huge pickup for me, but he is a one week pickup in my opinion.
17:04I don't think he's going to go away because he's played his way onto the field, but I don't want anything to
17:11do with the Seahawks running system right now. Because Charbonnet, I mean, so Emmanuel Wilson should be picked up.
17:17Charbonnet should be picked up. Joe Mixon should be picked up in certain situations.
17:21Those three names already make you have a problem.
17:24Exactly. Because Price will come back. Absolutely. So I, I, that's where I'm saying in general, I don't want to rely on the Seahawks team this week.
17:33I think Emmanuel Wilson gets a lot of work.
17:35Uh, I, I think their hand is kind of forced right now while they're getting these other guys involved, they're waiting for people to come back.
17:44Emmanuel Wilson will get work. He's a fine enough start to, but, but then talk like, would you rather have him or
17:51Will Shipley who now might be the only guy in town?
17:54Well, they will definitely bring somebody up their practice squad.
17:57Uh, let's see. It's, it's a play the hits type of a situation.
18:02We have the Jaden blue. We have Damien Pierce and we have Carson Steele.
18:06One of those guys is coming up. Yeah. Will Shipley.
18:09I mean, Damien Pierce has had some success in the past.
18:13I don't know who's going to be the, like, I don't know who's going to come in and really be part of
18:20the timeshare, but one of them will. I mean, it feels like Shipley is sort of a, he's going to maybe one
18:27to two week situation where I could see him competitive for you.
18:31Like he's not rostered at the level that Emmanuel Wilson is.
18:34So I think on a lot of boards, on a lot of running back lists, it's going to be him at the tippy top.
18:42This week is Jacksonville. I know it's not good.
18:45No. Next week. Carolina. What is the status of Saquon?
18:48Cause we know that, that tank. I believe it was called week to week.
18:52Okay. Which I will say this, this is an important part of the season.
18:57You talk about these other players that are being brought up and maybe they'll be involved and I'm sure they're not going
19:04to just give a hundred percent of work to any running back.
19:08Nobody gets that. But I do think Will Shipley is a very good player.
19:12That is, that, that shouldn't be lost. He's a, is an excellent pass catcher and, and a quality back.
19:18So should he get all the opportunity? I think he'll do well with it.
19:22Not a great matchup with Jacksonville, but I prefer Will Shipley to Emmanuel Wilson.
19:27Awesome. So then archetype wise, you have Will Shipley and Austin Eckler, who, which yes, Eckler is a, Eckler looked kind of okay.
19:34Eckler is definitely older, but in his first game, you know, kind of off of the couch, what four carries, two targets,
19:41uh, uh, uh, Bill Krosky got a bunch, like a bunch of targets for him.
19:46Will that hold up or will they, will they have Eckler take over that?
19:51Well, you know, they, they had a different quarterback in there.
19:54I do think that targeting commanders right now is, you know, we'll, we'll, we'll talk about Antonio Williams, but you expect to get Jaden Daniels back.
20:02I think this week, uh, we've heard it's possible.
20:05Yeah. It's possible this week, not a guarantee. Um, but that just helps everybody.
20:10So if you, if you want to talk, um, you know, the Austin Eckler, the, the offense should get a little bit better.
20:17The other two major names, in my opinion, are going to be Tyler Algier, who we just talked about now that we
20:24know that love is dealing with another injury. He's 46% rostered.
20:27Algier is. And then Keaton Mitchell, who has seen snaps and targets increase three consecutive weeks.
20:33Keaton Mitchell seems to be something that they want to do.
20:36And there was a very, by they, you mean, well, both Harbaugh and McDaniel.
20:41Oh, because there was a, there was a pretty contentious line of questioning to Harbaugh.
20:45And it was, it was logically correct the way that they phrased it to him.
20:50And they basically said, well, you know, Hampton had the most opportunities in week two.
20:55And then all of a sudden he's got reduced opportunities after the fumble.
20:59And they're like, well, um, you know, we just want to do what's best for the team.
21:04This is how we, what we believe is best for the team is to use all three guys.
21:10And he's like, well, wasn't that best for the team starting in week one?
21:15If like, if it was best for the team, why didn't you do that in week one and two?
21:21And he's just like, I think I've answered your question.
21:24I think he has. Like, this is now where we are.
21:27Maybe we thought it was the best way in weeks one and two.
21:31We've changed our minds. Yeah. I mean, and Keaton Mitchell was coming off an injury to start the season.
21:38So that could have been some acclimation. I I'm very concerned with the, the, the direction that things are going there.
21:44Yeah. Well, you should be there. The team hasn't won a game, hasn't looked good in a game.
21:50Um, they have a slog of the next, still the next five games are games that they will probably be.
21:56See the underdogs in. And then it's a little tricky because the snaps themselves are fairly close, but Kyle bets.
22:03I don't know which one of you is on there.
22:06You shared something yesterday. Maybe I'll find it on bets is socials, but the actual utilization, the running, the rushing attempt.
22:13We need to know opportunities. The rushing attempts are the ones that are, are going haywire.
22:18Um, let me see if I can find that real quick.
22:21Hampton. So his share of running back carries over the last three weeks, 82% to 63% to 38%.
22:27That's weird, man. So he played fewer snaps than both those guys, but his rushing share has been smashed.
22:33And so, well, it's because he's been playing really poor.
22:36Oh wait, no, he's looked good every time he's touched the ball.
22:40That's right. Says you says, says the analytics as well.
22:43Look at, look, I mean, look, look at the actual, I think that these looked okay.
22:48I would say I'm more on Mike's side with that, but I think a lot of it is it's intangible factors.
22:55It's the fumbles. It's passing down work. It's, are you in the right place at the right time?
23:01We don't see when a guy's running the way they're supposed to or not.
23:05Something has gone sideways for the whole entire team.
23:08You tell me that you have a wide receiver.
23:11You, you can figure out there. Nope. Can't play the quarterback wide out or running back, but otherwise, oh wait, what about tight end?
23:18I was going to say, don't forget about Gadsden.
23:21He can't be played. That is, it's not just that they're the terrible team.
23:26They literally have nobody you can play. So yeah, it's okay.
23:29They've got Denver, Kansas city, the Rams. So look, Algier against Detroit.
23:33It's for the best. Just let, I mean, sorry.
23:36I think here is my favorite pickup. Algier over Keaton Mitchell.
23:40Based on the fact that we just found out more about the, the, the news on Jeremiah love now love probably won't
23:47miss, but I think the fact that the matchup is against Detroit who can't play defense.
23:52I think the Cardinals are the best offensive situation.
23:54You know, you will Shipley's going into a complete disgusting mess of offense right now.
23:59Like we'll Shipley's dependent on Jalen hurts and no Devante Smith and no Lane Johnson.
24:04Like that's a tougher situation than Arizona scoring against Detroit.
24:07That would be my logic of it. Gotcha. So, so if I'm looking one week start plus manual Emmanuel Wilson's over 60% roster Algiers at 46%.
24:15That's the way I would go now. Now Eckler, Keaton Mitchell, they're going to have like kind of a long-term committee value
24:23that they're going to be mixed into stuff. You're not going to get zeros from them, but you know, I wouldn't spend up big money on them.
24:31I agree with the cost. I'm not going all in Wilson.
24:35I think is the best. I agree. He's the best temporary guy.
24:38And another struggle between Shipley and Keaton Mitchell at two, like the, the, just the, not that Keaton Mitchell is very desirable right now.
24:46It's just the way that things are trending. And then you add in, what was it?
24:51Six, six targets. Is that what he had? Yeah.
24:54I mean, 10 carries and six targets. Like it's tough in the running back streets for fantasy football.
25:00That's not the worst. Yeah. Keaton Mitchell definitely should be picked up.
25:04I would prefer him over Algier simply because I, it seems like the coaches want to have Jeremiah love, you know, be
25:11the guy we saw that a couple of weeks ago.
25:14If he's banged up, it might not be able to happen right now.
25:18The coach seems like they want Keaton Mitchell to be the guy, which is awful.
25:23It's also worth noting Chris Brooks is dealing with a potentially significant injury for the Packers.
25:28We didn't mention it in the news. We should have, but Marshawn Lloyd had been cut by a lot of people.
25:34So he's only 51% rostered. I don't want him.
25:37I don't want Caleb Johnson. I don't want any of the offense, but I don't want any of them.
25:43But Caleb fumbled again because of course he had the only good run of the entire day.
25:49And he followed it with a fumble. Mm-hmm. It's like the three stooges.
25:53But didn't Lloyd, didn't Lloyd fumble too? Oh, of course he did.
25:57Of course he did. These guys are just, of course he did.
26:01Awful. I mean, it's the dude. They are so stupid.
26:04They need Josh Jacobs so bad. I mean, it's been ugly.
26:07So let's talk wide outs. We need to move on.
26:10Romeo Dobbs, 59% rostered. You know, there was an injury to Mack Hollins.
26:15Antonio Brown's not back soon. The only little caveat.
26:17Antonio Brown. Or AJ Brown, sorry. Oh. The only caveat here is that they play the Raiders.
26:23They play the Jets. Both of those teams, the Chicago Bears and the Miami Dolphins have actually been bad for wide receivers the next four weeks.
26:31But I think Dobbs is a great pickup. I know the Dolphins.
26:35The Jets are just a succubus. Yeah, the Jets.
26:38It's not because they're shutting everyone down. They're just like, what if the game was half over already?
26:44Yeah. They're like, what are you? Come on, let's play.
26:47They're the tortoise and no hair. I mean, they are bad.
26:50But let's talk about the top pickups here at wide receiver.
26:54I think Romeo Dobbs, he's mostly rostered, but he's a great pickup.
26:58Mack Hollins had a non-contact calf injury, and it's not something that's going to be like super long term.
27:04It wasn't Achilles. But I expect that he will probably miss a game or two.
27:08And in that environment, they finally started figuring out how to use Romeo Dobbs.
27:13He looked good. So I think he would be my clear guy I want the most at wide receiver.
27:19He's probably rostered. He's at 59%. And you have to ask, watching Drake May those first three weeks, that was an emotionally destroyed man.
27:27There was no confidence. Did he get some of that back?
27:30I think he's a big fan of the week.
27:33Where everyone, you know his biggest problem this week.
27:36What's the biggest problem this week? My Raiders. Ah, yes.
27:39My Raiders are going to be his biggest problem.
27:42Sure. That's a good, I don't think that's a bad game environment though.
27:46I'm saying that like, when we talked about it, it looked like he had the yips.
27:51Drake May. You're like, did he get his groove back?
27:54Drake. Because if he did, then Romeo Dobbs looks even better.
27:58There are two players that I think are like secret starts that are low rostered and very interesting.
28:04They both are actually rostered in 15% of leagues.
28:06Keon Coleman. Yeah. And Antonio Williams. Because Keon Coleman and Antonio Williams both have a missing wide receiver one potentially for this week.
28:14We don't know about DJ Moore. They said not long term, but you may give him a week this time because he played through the injury last time.
28:23You probably should. You should. And then Antonio Williams with no Terry McLaurin.
28:27Eight targets for Antonio Williams. Seven for Keon Coleman.
28:30Coleman was much better with his targets. He was six for 116 and one.
28:34The game environment. The Rams. That should be high scoring.
28:37I really like Keon Coleman as a one week start with longer term potential.
28:42Yeah, I do too. I mean, however long. They delete Dalton Kincaid.
28:46However long DJ Moore is out. I believe that Keon Coleman will be a valuable piece.
28:51He's looked the part. Obviously, the coaches spent the entire off season being like, you know, we love him.
28:57If DJ Moore is there, I am very hesitant to start Keon Coleman.
29:01Yeah, I would probably be. But I like both of those players and Antonio Williams is fun because this is a rookie who has looked really good.
29:09He hasn't been on the field that much. He's been playing like 40% of snaps.
29:14But every time he's had the opportunity, he's been good.
29:17They go to him. And, you know, that last week he had a massive touchdown that was called back on penalty.
29:24They didn't have Jaden Daniels. And so now all of a sudden, if you're without Terry McLaurin and Antonio Williams is on
29:31the field and he has Jaden Daniels and he's a rookie that can ascend and become better, more integrated into the offense, that's a fun pickup to me.
29:40There are a lot of other names. I want to have the Tyreek Hill conversation.
29:45Yes. Because Tyreek Hill is obviously not rostered right now.
29:48Oh, he is. He's shockingly rostered quite a bit.
29:51What? I meant on an NFL team. Oh, yes.
29:54That is true. He currently has no NFL team.
29:57He's 54% rostered? Yeah. Well, then. You degenerates. It's a result of the last handful of days.
30:02Hope is a hell of a drug. I mean, Joe Mixon was getting picked up all over the place on Sunday before we even had a team.
30:11The thing with Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs are on by this week.
30:14They're the natural destination. They're not the guaranteed destination.
30:17Tyreek is a, he's got an ego. He wants to get paid properly for his commiserate with his history.
30:23Yeah. And I'm not positive that the team, that the Chiefs are willing to pay that money right now.
30:29So we just basically. Also, when is he ready?
30:32Yeah. We don't have answers to those questions and he doesn't go on an IR.
30:37He takes a roster spot. That is brutal at this time of year.
30:41Like I dropped Darren Waller this morning because they're going on by like, I just don't even, I can't even hold Waller over the by.
30:49I'd rather have another player to put on this roster that, that has a chance to do something this week and give
30:56me trade value or starting value with the by week.
30:59Yeah. I mean, you, you, you don't know when he's back.
31:03He was originally targeting November. November is not that far away, but it's several weeks, obviously.
31:08In fantasy football time. Yeah. It's forever. He could come back sooner, maybe because of being forced into action with the injuries
31:15that the Chiefs wide receivers, you know, core already has familiarity with the system, with the enemy, with my homes.
31:21Um, to me, Tyree kill is a, is a very important pickup.
31:25It's, you've got to look at your roster. You've got to look at your bench size.
31:30You've got to say, am I able to hold a guy that might not play?
31:35Is he going to be great? I don't know.
31:38Probably not. But you know what his talent and ability could be.
31:42If it hits, you look at guys like Stefan digs, who he's not the same Stefan digs that he used to be,
31:49but he's really relevant for fantasy football when you talk about in Washington or last year.
31:54Both. So like if digs is sitting there on the waiver wire though, and I tell you can't play for six weeks, let's just pretend that happens.
32:02Right? Cause I think it's a good exercise. If you getting, if you're getting digs production out of Tyree, not worth it.
32:09Well, I, and I don't, I'm not sure it gets better than that.
32:14Rashi rice is not longterm hurt. Yeah. We didn't mention that.
32:17The, the, the, the Rashi rice news was that he was a baby.
32:21I mean, essentially, I will never attack a man cause I have no idea what it felt like, but it, the, the
32:28news was more positive that it could just be a slight hamstring injury.
32:32But look at this, like Tyquan Thornton. Okay. His was not slight.
32:36No, no. His injuries 12 to 16 weeks playoffs maybe, but Tyquan Thornton had a 25 point game for this offense.
32:43Right? So that's, I mean, he could, he could come in and be Thornton.
32:47Like, but if you say he's Thornton, nobody's fighting.
32:50Nobody's fighting for Thornton on the waiver wire. If he came in and he's digs, you said he's not worth it.
32:57So that means he's gotta be better than digs for a hold.
33:01But so it's like for a hold, right? Like AJ, if AJ Brown was out there and you're like, you got to hold him on your bench.
33:09No IR spot for six weeks. We'd all be like, yeah.
33:13Right. So what is that? That's exactly what I'm saying.
33:16I'm not saying that the probability, I'm not saying that the probability is high that he comes back and is a star.
33:23I am absolutely saying that's possible. I believe it's possible that Tyree kill comes back and is a top 15 wide receiver for fans.
33:31No, no, no implications here. I'm not trying to disprove that.
33:34I'm just pointing out 20, 24 before the injury Tyree kill was 81 for nine 59 in 17 weeks.
33:40Okay. So, I mean, that was not good. Right.
33:43And then Miami last year in four weeks, uh, he's, he's been 10 points a game for the last two weeks.
33:50So he's, I'm just saying he's years removed with an injury.
33:53So what would you spend to have the hold?
33:56Like, what are you going to spend? Tell me what you're going to do in our league of record.
34:02Well, we have millions of people listening. Uh, I, I will probably cause I'm not, I will have no, I'm not putting a bid in on it.
34:11I will probably drop like 20% of fab. Yeah.
34:14You will get it. Fantastic. So Kansas city, your team is unique Kansas city wise.
34:18Cause that's the, the, the, I think Jay, what you're, you're, you're talking about what the target is, is you're like, I
34:25think that Tyreek Hill ends up on Kansas city.
34:28Right? Yes. Okay. So in the meantime, while he's not playing, these guys are lower on the waiver wire, but I think you got to lump them in.
34:37It's like, what, what does Kansas city do in the meantime?
34:41Cause they're on, they're on by, but even though Rasheed Rice, the news is good.
34:45I would expect him to miss week, week six and Thornton won't be out.
34:50So what is the move there? Who are that?
34:53Do you like Cyrus Allen was the preseason guy that he was, we get one chief a year, every, every single season
35:00that he's a late round pick that has something that the Twitter hive likes about it.
35:05I don't care about either guy. You're going to say Jalen Royals and Cyrus Allen.
35:10I don't care about either guy because we've, we've gone through years and years of the Justin Watson's and Thornton's and, and
35:17like none of those guys are going to be a focal point for Patrick Mahomes.
35:21I, yeah. So me personally, I'm not wasting my time on Cyrus Allen.
35:26The way that the game on just Ross guy more.
35:29Yeah. The way the game unfolded, uh, was that basically Jalen Royals came in for rushy rice and Cyrus Allen came in
35:36for Thornton when that, when they went down, that's not a guarantee that those are the roles that they would inherit, but I, that's the evidence we have.
35:45That's what I would be working with. So if rushy rice's injury is, is not long-term then Jalen Royals.
35:51Isn't that valuable? Cyrus Allen would be the guy I would, I would pick up ahead.
35:56But then if Tyreek comes in, that's, that's worthless.
35:59They're going to buy. So I, I do not think I'm going hard after either, you know, $0 bids, um, on, on either.
36:06They're fine, but I'm not going hard after that.
36:09If you go ahead, Mike, this is, that's interesting to me of like being, being willing to dump 20% on chasing the
36:16dragon of Tyreek Hill when these guys are actually on the team.
36:20Yeah. I mean, the, the, you know, remember the ceiling comp, it's a, it's a ceiling thing.
36:25And I do think Tyreek Hill ceiling, I'm 2024 when he wasn't that good.
36:30And it was a couple of years ago, he also was playing for two, uh, but not just to a missed a
36:37third of the season and was gone. So that was, you know, it's like if he comes back to a team that
36:44is needy with BNME, with Mahomes, we've, we've seen it work.
36:47And we've also seen like when hall of fame level players come back, um, you know, there's, there's a lot of, he's going to be 33.
36:55Um, yeah, I, we have, you know, it's shooting your shot based on your situation.
37:00I think one of the best sneaky starts that you could have this week is actually going to be Dante Myers wide
37:07receiver Cincinnati Bengals could be plays Miami had nine targets played 89% of snaps.
37:12You're like, who's that? I get it. You've never heard of him.
37:15Dante Myers came in and was the beneficiary. They don't have Yoshivas.
37:19They have an injury to T Higgins and T Higgins.
37:22If he's anything, he's a great player and he recovers slow.
37:26And then Jamar chase. Do we have him this week?
37:29There's a world where Dante Myers and Mike Gasicki are the top two receiving targets alongside Chase Brown for the Bengals for one week against Miami.
37:37I'm just saying that I'm with you that it's a strong one.
37:41And you can put them on most people out there that aren't listening to the show can add Dante Myers for a dollar a fab.
37:49No one on there in your league is going to do to they'll be fighting for Tyreek.
37:55And you can add Dante Myers and no one will know.
37:58And you can start it. That's if those guys are out.
38:02I agree. What about Mitch Tinsley? The other wide receiver there who has the same pathway.
38:07I'll take the guy who got nine targets. Yeah, like he was out.
38:11He was already out there when everybody was actually healthy.
38:14No targets for Tinsley 53% of snaps. He is a big play guy.
38:18I've seen those. The balls have gone to him before.
38:21Was he the one that was with Buffalo? Was it Tinsley that was with Buffalo or was he always with Cincinnati?
38:28Yeah, I guess it's always Cincinnati somebody flashed. I think he flashed in the preseason one of these years.
38:34Maybe that's why I recognize the name, but I you know the other name.
38:39I want to just throw it out there real quick conception 62% rostered Roman Wilson only 7% rostered Roman Wilson's interest.
38:45The snaps are just microscopic. So you're like if you don't have snaps.
38:49Can you rely on this guy with Aaron Rodgers?
38:52That's the scare of the situation, but Malik Washington.
38:55These are like next tier down. Kaleel Shakir should get work.
38:59Kaleel Shakir will score exactly eight fantasy points this week.
39:02If you're into that. You could do worse. You could also if you're into that just pick up Malik Washington.
39:08Yeah, Malik Washington in a full PPR league. He's a bad.
39:12He is just like whoever in the league is like I need to receive.
39:16I need to borrow a receiver this week. Yeah.
39:19Can you can someone if you're someone spare receiver.
39:22You're like yeah, the waiver wires got Malik Washington always.
39:25Yeah, just play him. You'll get you'll get 50 to 70 yards.
39:29And then you just it's like do the five day receptions leave a penny.
39:33Take a penny. He is Kaleel Shakir for the Dolphins.
39:37You'll get 10 points if you're in a PPR league, which is not bad.
39:41Right. Um, drop candidates at wide receiver Dontavian Wicks, Cortland Sutton, Quinton Johnston.
39:45I would be willing to drop all three for sure.
39:48Um, huge is droppable. Man, I don't know that I would drop drops.
39:52I wouldn't drop Wicks just I would not either.
39:55Uh, Sutton and and huge. I'm fine moving on.
39:58It's just wild because the last two weeks like Wicks.
40:01Wicks goes to Jacksonville, your quarterback through for net negative five yards in the second half.
40:07I think you're very big play dependent on Dontavian Wicks.
40:10Yeah, you are. But we've seen it already. I mean, 73 yards week one, 74 yards week two, two down weeks since then.
40:17But Wicks himself is getting open. So it feels like if they got to figure something out.
40:22I mean, if they don't have for four weeks, are you, you're probably dropping him for any most of the guys we talked about though, right?
40:31The earlier wide receivers. I mean, Dante Myers for this week for this week.
40:35Yeah. Assuming the injuries go as we think. And of course, Coleman and Dobbs.
40:40But there are Wicks isn't like a I'm just getting rid of him at all costs.
40:45Okay. A player. Um, let's take a break. We'll talk tight ends.
40:49Well, the story at tight end this week is TJ Hawkinson, 13 targets, 13 for one 19.
40:54And frankly, he looked pretty good. He caught all 13 of the targets.
40:58I thought he looked solid. Uh, maybe he's taken more time than expected to come back from his injury where he didn't
41:05look like the old TJ Hawkinson last week. This is one where it's like you're betting on Jefferson missing again.
41:11Yeah. But also it could be a trend. You know, you said, Hey, we don't know what it looks like with Kyler Murray.
41:19Maybe we do now. I mean, maybe Kyler Murray, who we know from Arizona, doesn't like to take a hit is going to throw the ball.
41:27I mean, his problem. He throws the ball short now.
41:30Yeah. It's really annoying. It's disgusting. He was Hawkinson was with Murray against Tampa Bay where he put up four targets, two for 11 in week three.
41:39Yeah. Murray played week three. Yeah. So we have, we only have two games of Murray.
41:44One was awesome for Hawkinson. Yes. And the other one was like, you're tied in.
41:49We had Jefferson. Is that the game Jefferson went out then though?
41:53Yes. Okay. So we don't have, if Jefferson's completely out.
41:56You're saying maybe game plan. I just mean like Jefferson was, when did he even leave?
42:0112% of snaps. He left at the very beginning.
42:04Okay. In 15 games without Jefferson in his career, he's averaged six targets per game in those games.
42:09Britain strange. We talked about his snaps and route share going up.
42:13Mike Gasicki. Yeah. Like Gasicki. I mean, Gasicki is sneaky.
42:16If they're both dealing with the injuries, you know, if we're doing our, our calculus here for, if bangles are out and
42:23Jefferson is out, I would rather play Gasicki. I'd still play Hawkinson.
42:27I would be Hawkinson in that situation, but I, I think both are, are great pickup and plays this week.
42:34If their respective wide receivers are out. We got, um, Friday the 13th here, 12.7% rostered, 10 targets, eight for 82.
42:40Is that Michael? Is that Michael? You mean Halloween?
42:43Oh yeah. I do mean Halloween. I was like, I'm, I'm trying to find a Jason.
42:48You're looking for a Jason, Jason or a Vorehees of some kind.
42:52Michael Mayer, man. In the month of October. I know.
42:55Come on. It's early October and I'm old. Um, eight for 82 for Michael Mayer though.
43:00Like, would you rather flex Michael Mayer or Trey Tucker?
43:04I was like, people are really slow on the uptake here.
43:07It's good. It's not the right movie. No, we got Lord of the Rings here.
43:12I would, you rather Tucker or mayor. I would rather flex Tucker.
43:16I think I was trying to set you up to pick the right answer.
43:20Oh, me, Kirk cousins and company. They, uh, at least last week, they love the tight end position.
43:26Like no one else does. Yeah. It was, it was funny.
43:29Cause it was like, man, it wasn't two weeks ago.
43:33It was getting everything in that game. It was like weeks ago.
43:36Mayor was all digits. So did, so did Brock.
43:39Cause of the 32 yards, three for 32. Wait, did he score then?
43:43Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I mean, look, he's a part of the offense.
43:47No, he's playing more snaps than Brock Bowers. So I just think he's, he's a funny, we don't have a lot of
43:54like side tight ends in the history of fantasy football where you're like, you know, Bowers is an every week star, but then Michael mayor is like relevant.
44:03Like they don't have wide receivers at all. Correct.
44:06Beyond Trey Tucker. I don't even know who was the highest targeted guy outside of Trey Tucker at wide receiver last week.
44:13Cody white. Is that, is that who I'm thinking of?
44:16Let's find out. I just think it's a funny offense.
44:19Cause you also had, um, Ian Thomas scored a touchdown and got a bunch of targets.
44:24Let's see. I see Tucker with eight white with five.
44:28Yeah. Michael mayor was 10 targets. And then Ian Thomas was involved.
44:31I also think Tyler Higbee, um, is, is worth mentioning.
44:35I know he was definitely someone that we, you have to play.
44:39If Puka is out, Puka came back. And so it was like, ah, we're not going to play him.
44:45He still had six targets. He was five for 67.
44:48This is a game environment. That's one of those 54 and a half point over under games where Buffalo's going to go and score.
44:55They're going to be throwing a lot. And so Higbee has been involved in the fact that all of, you know, it's
45:02funny because this was a team where it was like, they've got so many good tight ends, but I don't like them
45:09because there's so many, they all got injured. They're all gone.
45:13So, uh, Higbee's kind of last man standing there.
45:16And so, you know, if you just want a piece of that game, he will cost you nothing.
45:21Defense is this week. My favorite, probably the Bengals against Miami Jacksonville plays Philly.
45:26That's another amazing one. Jacksonville is the number four scoring fantasy defense at this juncture of the year.
45:32They're a good defense. And the Eagles are beat up.
45:35So I don't think, I don't think you're at risk of a problem in that one.
45:40I don't think you're like the Eagles might fight and win, but you're not winning with 30 points.
45:46They're winning 17 to 14 or something. And then the Raiders play the Patriots and the Raiders have been one of the higher scoring offenses.
45:54Uh, didn't happen last week against Kansas city. It just depends on which Drake may shows up because if Drake may looks
46:01like he did last week, it's not a good matchup.
46:04If Drake may looks like he did to start the season, you know, wheels up.
46:09Do you want, would you risk that the Drake may variable or would you look at the Cowboys against Tampa Bay, which
46:16is going to be Jalen Daniels again? Yeah. I think the Cowboys and the commanders, uh, divisional opponents, you're targeting the quarterback.
46:23You're targeting the undrafted free agent, rookie quarterback, uh, in the Tampa Bay matchup, or you're targeting Jameis Winston who, yeah, he
46:30might score on you, but you've got a lot of pick six opportunities.
46:34Yes, you do. I would much prefer the commanders to the Cowboys.
46:38I don't really want to put the Cowboys defense on my team.
46:41Yeah. I mean the, the Cowboys defense is awful.
46:44Obviously negative one and one the last two weeks.
46:47And I know who you're targeting there. So you could, you could try to be opportunistic, but I'd like the commanders at home more.
46:55Sure. And then Cleveland plays the jets and the jets are slow.
46:59And so points are slow. And Cleveland's defense has been pretty good.
47:02Seven points, six points, nine points. That game is currently in the third quarter.
47:07Unfortunately, it won't finish before any of the other games.
47:10The jets are ruining things. I mean, it really is like, you never looked up and saw them on offense.
47:16No, they're never. They are just, they are. It's funny because it's like, you want to be like, oh, it's not a good defense.
47:24There's a great team to target. It's like, no, no, they're so slow that they are going to, they're going to always look like a good defense.
47:33I mean, you literally have to break my, my brain went to like, okay, you play this game in the, the bears
47:40have 89 plays and you have 35. And I started thinking to myself, like, that's basically like saying in the scale set
47:47by the jets, the bears got 12 quarters of football on offense.
47:51And the jets got four. If the jets set the scale for how a game goes, that's wild.
47:56You're like, who's going to score more fancy points?
47:59The team with 12 quarters or the team with four?
48:02Yeah. It works if you have a truly elite defense, but if your defense just allows them to pick up third down
48:09or an elite running game and have these long drives, it doesn't work for you.
48:14It's just funny. It's a funny story. That was the waiver wire presented by T-Mobile.
48:19When you're updating your roster right before kickoff, you've got coverage that you can count on.
48:24Just another reason game days are better with T-Mobile.
48:27Check it out at T-Mobile.com slash membership stock quarterbacks.
48:30Full stream ahead. I think we'll let Mike go first here because he has the lowest rostered option by far on our streaming quarterback segment.
48:38I went to put him in the... Did you?
48:41Yeah, absolutely. He's a great start. All right. We'll jump in.
48:44Let's go. Steel underpants. Jump into your steel underpants?
48:47Yeah. That could be painful. Yeah. From what I hear.
48:50From what I hear. All right. Doesn't really protect you.
48:53The parts you want protected are very exposed. It's Jacoby Brissett against Detroit.
48:57I don't love the fact that they just lost their left tackle, but...
49:02Being the Cardinals. Yeah. Yes. Thank you. The Arizona Cardinals, but a 54 and a half point over under the Detroit defense
49:09allowing over 300 passing yards per game. Week one, Shuck Daddy QB four.
49:13Week two, Josh Allen QB one. Check this out.
49:16Week three. Remember when I was talking about the Jets and how terrible it was?
49:20Geno Smith was the quarterback three. Bryce Young QB five.
49:24This is a defense that we can play anyone else against.
49:27Hey! Where's the lead? Thank you. I really... Jacoby Brissett is just the weirdest.
49:32I think he's basically Winston. Yeah. He's Winston, but he's a little bit more measured.
49:36Except for he had three picks last week. No, he still gets the interception, but he doesn't get the interceptions of just
49:43like, Malik Nabors is down there somewhere. I just...
49:46You know, 166 yards against the Giants. I just feel like you...
49:50He can throw for 400 and he can just look terrible.
49:53But the important thing to know is the Cardinals will lose.
49:57That's true. Because he's got to keep his 2-14 record building.
50:00Yeah, but it's all good. 304 passing yards per game, people.
50:04There are two quarterbacks that are heavily rostered, but minimally started right now.
50:08One had a good week last week. One had a terrible week.
50:12I'll bring up the Matthew Stafford start. He was not good last week.
50:16They survived. And a miracle comeback at the end of that game.
50:20Thank you, Kyron Williams. That was the reason why.
50:23But here you go. Monday Night Football against the Bills.
50:26Oh, that's so exciting. 54.5 over and under. That's going to be so much fun to watch.
50:31So I think Stafford, if you have him on your bench, if he's been dropped, if he's dropped this week, which this
50:38is the one you look out for. Yes. When you have the bad week, people will move on to another quarterback.
50:45That's why I'm flagging it. He was only 49% started last week.
50:49It will be a lower number this week. I think you put him right back in there.
50:54Yeah, another player in the same boat who was dropped.
50:58He's heavily rostered, but all on new teams. Drake May was dropped in every league and then someone picked him up and
51:05probably had him on their bench when he went off this past week.
51:09I think the matchup. I sure did. Exactly. I think the matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders at home, the defense has
51:16been good, but the offense has been good. And I think that's the important part is that the Raiders are going to be able to score.
51:24And Drake May looked great last week. Patriots are still three and a half point home favorites.
51:29I'm willing to take that risk, gamble and put them in there.
51:33I also like Jordan Love in the game environment against Chicago.
51:37However, just watch out. It's way too early to know wins, but it does look like it might be a little too windy in Lambeau.
51:45So be on the lookout. I was just realizing that Stafford, so he's starting Monday Night Football.
51:50That will be right probably a few hours after I hit a hole in one.
51:55Yeah, I don't know if people really, we haven't talked about it in a while.
52:00No, the hole in one challenge, which I mean, not much of a challenge really, but it will be taking place next Monday.
52:07So I don't know when Matt's going to have the video to you, but...
52:11It's going to be a lot of editing. So it might take him a couple of weeks.
52:17I... Due to the hours of missing. I just don't want to be down there that long.
52:22So I figure I need to make it sooner than...
52:25Because I don't want you guys to be stuck down at the course.
52:30You know what I mean? Mm-hmm. It's for you.
52:32Don't worry about me, man. I'm going to be having a great time.
52:37Oh yeah, Mike and I are going to be really enjoying ourselves.
52:40Yeah, it's going to be great. So I figure...
52:43I'm going to predict that I make the hole in one in about two hours.
52:48Okay. I'm going to predict you leave injured. Okay.
52:51How much time do I have, Matt? 12 hours.
52:5412 hours. 12 hours. I'm going to predict you leave after 10 hours.
52:58I mean, Monday Night Football. No, eight hours. Monday Night Football.
53:01You give up after eight hours. You guys will get to watch the game.
53:06Somebody can... If I'm still going, which I'll probably be going for my second hole in one at this point.
53:12But you guys... Somebody can hold a screen up for me as I can watch the game?
53:18Sure. Yeah, we got you. For sure. We'll figure it out.
53:21So that's finally happening. So that'll be super easy.
53:24All right. That'll do it for today's episode of the show.
53:28We'll be back tomorrow, Thursday night preview mailbag. We have a snap count episode or a segment tomorrow.
53:33Starts of the week on Thursday. And the week continues as we head into week five.
