Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeInjury11:28

Brian Thomas Jr. returned to practice wearing a non-contact jersey following a shoulder injury.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveProjection48:02

Caleb Williams is poised for a major year-two leap under Ben Johnson's system. The Bears have improved their offensive line and scoring environment, and Williams has shown commitment by dropping 15 pounds. Despite concerns about completion percentage, historical data shows it has low correlation to future fantasy points compared to metrics like avoided sacks, which the team has prioritized fixing.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveValue44:11

Carnell Tate is a highly drafted rookie wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans who is being undervalued due to concerns regarding the team's offense and quarterback situation.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout45:01

Carnell Tate is a highly talented, top-10 NFL draft pick who is being undervalued due to concerns about the offense and Cam Ward. Despite a quiet preseason, he is a clear WR1 on his team with elite college production, including 875 yards and 9 touchdowns while sharing the field with Jeremiah Smith. He is expected to play near 100% of snaps and has top-15 WR potential in his rookie year.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveBreakout54:12

Christian Watson is a smash pick in the 6th round due to his elite big-play ability and a consolidated target share in Green Bay. Since week 11 of last year, he was the WR11 with elite per-route metrics, including being first in first downs per route run. With Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks rotating less, Watson is positioned for a massive role as the primary Z receiver.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveBreakout20:58

Colston Loveland is a 'My Guy' pick for the source, who is all-in on his fourth-round ADP. He highlights Loveland's late-season 2025 performance, where he saw 49 targets over four games and was utilized across the formation, including the slot and out wide.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout22:21

Colston Loveland is a high-upside target in the fourth round who can contend for the TE1 overall finish. He is being used all over the formation, not just in-line, and saw a 35% target share on his routes in a four-game sample. The Bears' coaching staff views him as a focal point of their offense, which aims to be the highest-scoring in history.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveValue25:37

Garrett Wilson is a massive value being drafted around WR20 despite elite underlying metrics. He is one of five players to start a career with three consecutive 80-catch, 1000-yard seasons despite poor quarterback play. He maintains a 28% career target share, and the source notes that players with a 27%+ target share are typically drafted in the top 12. Wilson is considered a 'bell cow' in the Jets' offense.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveInjury1:50

Despite a scary-looking non-contact knee hyperextension, the source confirms Ja'Marr Chase is fine and could have returned to practice if allowed by coaches.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeInjury10:29

Josh Downs is dealing with a calf injury he described as very minor, and he expects to resume practicing soon.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeValue12:17

The source raised Josh Jacobs' risk rating in the UDK due to the potential for a suspension, though they still view him as a high-upside player when on the field.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

PositiveProjection10:45

The source projects Keenan Allen to be a top-20 wide receiver in PPR leagues during the first month of the season, especially given the current injury issues among Indianapolis pass catchers.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeInjury1:50

Kenneth Walker III is dealing with a minor foot injury, but the source notes he was seen walking in sneakers without favoring the foot, suggesting the team is likely just being cautious.

Insight page
PositiveProjection38:52

Kenneth Walker is a first-round talent being drafted in the second round who can finish as the RB2 overall. He led all running backs in forced missed tackle rate last year and provides explosive playmaking ability that the Chiefs lacked. With no significant competition on the depth chart and a high-scoring offense, his only path to failure is injury.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveValue64:04

Ladd McConkey is a prime bounce-back candidate following a disappointing sophomore season. With Keenan Allen gone, McConkey is the clear focal point of the Chargers' passing attack. He is one of only seven wide receivers in the last decade to record 200+ targets, 1900+ yards, and 13+ touchdowns through two seasons, and he is currently available at a round discount compared to his previous ADP.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout68:05

Ladd McConkey is viewed as a key focal point of the passing offense under Mike McDaniel. He is more than a slot receiver, showing elite ability on go routes (ranked 4th in yards per route run last year) and will be moved around the formation. The source highlights his current draft cost as a round discount compared to last year's expectations.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveInjury69:56

Luther Burden has returned to practice, which the source views as a positive development for the team's offensive weapons.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveSleeper13:00

Marshawn Lloyd is recommended as a late-round draft target to handcuff Josh Jacobs, as he offers talent and potential opportunity if Jacobs faces suspension.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

PositiveDepth Chart69:26

The source interprets Michael Penix sitting out preseason week three as a sign that he is effectively the starter, comparing the move to skipping a political debate to let opponents fail.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveUsage60:28

Omarion Hampton is a premier three-down back who dominated goal-line work (80% share) and showed elite efficiency as a rookie. With an improved offensive line featuring Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater, and a new offensive scheme that utilizes a fullback, Hampton is set to dominate. He is a high-upside target who should be drafted over other sophomore backs.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeUsage67:22

The source does not expect volume production from Quentin Johnston in the current offense.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveInjury9:56

Sam LaPorta returned to practice on Tuesday, alleviating concerns that his recent injury was a re-aggravation of his previous surgical issue.

Insight page

Tre Harris

NegativeUsage67:18

The source does not expect volume production from Trey Harris in the current offense, despite acknowledging his role as a deep-field threat.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeInjury11:32

The source expresses concern regarding Zay Flowers missing multiple consecutive practices without a disclosed reason, noting that while working on the side is better than being absent, the lack of information is worrying.

0:00This is Hall of Fame of Marshall Falk and you're listening to the Fantasy Footballers.
0:05To the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts Andy Holloway, Jason Moore and Mike Wright.
0:10Welcome in! Wednesday, August 26th, the My Guys Episode.
0:13Trademark. Trademark My Guys. Yes! I like what you did on that post yesterday, Mike.
0:18I mean, I just posted. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The My Guys, trademark, episode, the Fantasy Footballers My Guys Episode.
0:25I know people have been eager for our My Guys and it is a balance deciding when we're going to reveal them
0:32because people want to know for their drafts but there's still preseason and training camp and injuries and I mean, half of
0:39our comments yesterday were all aimed directly at Jason Moore.
0:43They were? Yes. What'd I do? Oh, was this the shirt?
0:47This is because, no, this, not... I saw a lot of my shirt looks like I'm naked.
0:52Were you wearing another salmon colored shirt? Yeah, yeah, it was a skin color.
0:57It's, uh, what color is that? It's flesh. Flesh colored.
1:00Uh, no, that wasn't it, Jason. It was the fact that you made another one of your famous proclamations on the show and there'll be no more injuries.
1:10And then immediately we had Ken Walker and Jamar Chase have some scares.
1:14That's Mike's fault. But also, they're totally fine. They're fine.
1:18Yeah, I mean, it was a little scary to see the replay of Jamar Chase hyper-extending his knee.
1:24It was. He went from there totally fine. Oh, no, no, no.
1:28I know he's fine. I'm just saying it was, it was a terrifying like, cause that's, that's no contact or non-contact.
1:35Yeah. Like that's, you've seen ACLs. Well, when you saw the, so he, after the play, he was like, oh my gosh,
1:42Jamar Chase, you know, limps off knee injury and you're like worried.
1:46He says he's fine. You look at him in the, you know, the, the, uh, whatever, the locker room.
1:53He's talking to people. He's like, I'm fine. I could have gone out and played more if I had to.
1:59It was fine. It was just, I hyper extended a little bit, but then later the video comes out and you go, I've seen that exact thing before.
2:09And it is, uh, ligaments can be, the way he went down was like, no, no, but yeah, I think that he's perfectly fine.
2:17And Ken Walker, I mean, I guess a little low ankle.
2:21Well, they're just, they're saying foot, but I think they're just resting him.
2:25Like, no, no, like I mean, I, I'm saying like the video of him, he was at practice and he's in sneakers and he's just walking around.
2:34It didn't look like a guy who was favoring a foot.
2:38No, he's going to have so much work. They need to keep him healthy.
2:42So, so much going on. Our live show is Friday.
2:46So we're so excited to see you guys there.
2:49Um, if you're in the Phoenix area and you want to attend, there are a few tickets left.
2:55Ballers live.com should be about 800 strong in the van Buren, uh, hosted by GMC and Pets.
3:01Smart. It's going to be a, or sponsored by GMC and Pets.
3:05Smart. It's going to be awesome. And we're excited.
3:08Named after Martin Van Buren. Of course. Our favorite.
3:11Well, I don't want to say that cause I don't know what he's doing.
3:15I don't know what he did. I'm afraid, but I mean, president Jason, you know, he had a sweet number of like a crazy hair.
3:24Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh yeah. He was president. He has big chops.
3:28President number 26. Ooh, you're a little, little, which way?
3:31I'm thinking earlier. I'm thinking earlier. Yeah. Like 16.
3:3419. We're earlier. 12. We're earlier. Really? 8? 8?
3:37Oh, I knew it. Look at Marty. We know history.
3:41You should dress up as a Marty van Buren for Halloween.
3:44But Andy, you did know that cause he has the, uh, Yeah, he got them chops or something, right?
3:51He has the, uh, uh, the Costanza. Yeah. Or actually no, I'll call it the Bozo the Clown.
3:57Yeah. Where it's, he's bald on the top sides are coming out, but then it comes down into the chops.
4:04It's a, it's a look. Yeah. I mean, that's what he's known for.
4:08My goodness, man, man. That's a, that is an extreme Larry David.
4:12Oh, Martin Van Buren. Wow. MVB. MVB. Wow. This has been a detour.
4:16Uh, it is the my guy show. We got a quick question.
4:21We got news to catch you up on. Luckily nothing catastrophic right now.
4:25Uh, the quick question of the day. How was there any?
4:29Hey, there's Marty. There's Marty van Buren on the back wall.
4:32Looking good, Marty. He, uh, boy, he did. Boy, he did a lot, right?
4:37I mean, you could tell from the eye bags how much he did.
4:41I mean, you're telling, when was a Christmas Carol written?
4:45That is 100% written about. That's Ebenezer right there.
4:48That is Ebenezer van Buren. Like, that, that dude.
4:51That dude's stealing turkeys. Um, quick question of the day.
4:54Which NFL fan bases are you the most jealous of?
4:58This one came in. How is there any answer other than the Patriots?
5:02Yeah, I mean, the Patriots are the clear answer.
5:05Oh, not to me. So, I mean, the rationale to me is bajillions of Super Bowls.
5:10In my lifetime, not like, oh, the history of my team before I was born.
5:15In my lifetime, they've won the most Super Bowls by gargantuan margins.
5:20Then, after it was like, well, you lost Belichick and Brady.
5:23You're done. Welcome to the doldrums. Oh, wait. Wait, what'd you got?
5:27Two years? Two bad years? And now you've got a young superstar runner-up MVP candidate.
5:32You were in the Super Bowl last year? That's not fair.
5:36I am going with the Packers. The history of the team, they have four Super Bowl titles, not six, but four.
5:43They have this long history from Lombardi to, you know, Bart Starr to Favre to Aaron Rodgers.
5:49But it's about the city. It's about the Lambeau Field in the middle of a neighborhood being owned by the actual fans.
5:56Like, the team doesn't have... Dude. Owners. Yeah. Are you kidding me?
6:00Martin Van Buren served as the eighth president from 1837 to 1841.
6:04In 1843, a Christmas carol is written. I knew it.
6:08It's not a joke. Dickens. This was written about President Van Buren.
6:12Charles. Oh, Charles. Humbug, Charles. Dude, now I know more about Van Buren.
6:16He was a grumpy grouch. The Van Buren's need to go after the Dickens estate.
6:21There's not time for Christmas when you've got to lead the country at a time like the 1830s.
6:27That was more decent. I mean, that man has outlived the average life expectancy by over 20 years in this picture.
6:34Yeah. Oh, man. By sheer anger. That's some good research, Jason.
6:38So, for me, I'm going Packers. I think the storied history versus the...
6:42That's funny. Like, when I grew up, actually, you guys maybe picked up football a few years later than I did.
6:49But when I grew up, it was the Patriots were the garbage team of the NFL with the Cardinals because they would be the 4-12 teams every year.
6:59Yeah, we stayed there. Yeah, yeah. But anyways. Yeah, I mean, you guys both...
7:04I don't really count old Super Bowls. Yeah, I don't either.
7:07It's about the history, man. Yeah, but... But I know Al Borland's happy about that.
7:12Oh, what do we have a fourth member? The biggest loser...
7:16We do have a fourth loser. ...who lost to me in the...
7:20I want you to remember that. You lost to me in the Listener League Championship, and that's why you became the biggest loser.
7:28I did. And of course you did. That says Biggest Loser on it?
7:32Yeah, so... That's not a name tag. That is printed on the shirt.
7:37At the live show, there will be no mistaking who Brian Ketchner is.
7:41I always knew without the shirt. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
7:45You don't need that, dude. Yeah. Everyone can just look at just the aura.
7:49Your face is its own name tag. Hey, but good news, you are our Deucer of the Day.
7:56Deucer of the Day! Yeah! Congratulations. It's not really an honor.
7:59Brian, if you listened to the show, you would know what that means.
8:04Yeah. Oh, what does it say on the back?
8:07He's... Oh, he's pitching us on Twitter, Amo? Yeah, gosh.
8:10All right, I'm going off of that camera. Black data.
8:13All right, let's talk some news. By the way, the Megalobull, hosted by Sleeper, over 20,000 Foot Clan players.
8:20You can go there right now, sign up, play with us.
8:24It is the largest fantasy football competition in the world.
8:27Megalobull.com. Everyone needs a good new league. If you haven't played in it before, it is a ton of fun.
8:34It's Foot Clan members. It's great rules. And you get a chance, if you win, to get a Foot Clan Ultimate subscription forever.
8:41And more importantly, play with us next year in the Listener League.
8:45Megalobull.com. Come play with us. I'm in one. Yeah.
8:48I mean, there's drafts from the 4th through the 9th.
8:52Or 8th, rather. And the kickoff's the 9th. So, Megalobull.com for that.
8:56Let's talk news. News and notes from around the league.
8:59Biggest loser back there holding up an affiliate code for something, you know.
9:04We've got the Raiders head coach Clint Kubiak saying Ashton Gentey is, quote, on the mend.
9:09And he's, quote, not going to get into injuries.
9:12And I'm, quote, annoyed by that. And, quote, curious about his availability for week one, unquote.
9:17I believe it is Saturday. I don't guarantee it, but I'm pretty confident that Saturday is the day that the actual official injury reports have to happen.
9:27So, we will know more on these injuries for all these guys.
9:31You know, at least a little bit more. Come Saturday at, it's like 5 p.m.
9:36or something. Did you see that Martin Van Buren was the same height as you?
9:41Oh. He's 5'11"? Six? 5'6". Oh, man. Bangles wide receiver Jamar Chase left with a knee injury.
9:46Spoke to a reporter. Says he's fine. Could have played if there was.
9:51He said he tried to go back out there and the coaches wouldn't let him.
9:56Sam LaPorta returned to practice on Tuesday. That's big.
9:59We weren't sure if he would get back before the regular season began.
10:03That is big because I think there was, in the back of my mind, as a LaPorta, you know, long-time supporter, in
10:11the back of my mind, this was a fearful re-aggravation of what he had surgery for.
10:16So, if he's there week one, then hopefully it was just basically a contact contusion.
10:21Ken Walker did not practice Tuesday. Minor foot injury.
10:24Shut him down. This is not great because it's the second time in a week.
10:29Maybe it wasn't. Maybe it's the first time. But Josh Downs, calf injury.
10:34He called it very minor. Believes he will resume practicing soon.
10:37But we have a lot of injuries in Indianapolis among the pass catchers.
10:42Pierce and Downs and Warren's groin. That's why they got Kenan.
10:45I mean, I really do think Kenan, in the first month of the season of PPR League, will be like top 20 wide receiver every week.
10:54I don't even know that I want to draft him knowing that.
10:58Yeah. But if I am in a deeper league, I mean, like, let's say you're, I mean, the listener league, that we
11:06will be announcing next week the people that get in.
11:09So if you submitted and haven't heard back, that means nothing so far.
11:13Yeah. We haven't replied to anybody yet. That's a 14-team league.
11:17You're reviewing. It's a little deeper. And so, you know, later on in drafts, grabbing a Kenan and throwing them in the
11:25first week in a double flex or something. Brian Thomas Jr.
11:28returned to practice, was wearing a non-contact jersey after the shoulder injury.
11:32Zay Flowers isn't practicing Wednesday. Working on the side.
11:35Also didn't practice on Monday. I don't care for this particular news.
11:39This is the one of all the news that I'm the most concerned about just because we have no, I mean, it could be nothing.
11:48But you've missed two days of practice and it hasn't been disclosed to anybody what's going on.
11:53But working on the side is better than not being there at all.
11:58Save Flowers. Get well soon for Mike's sake. Yeah.
12:01JaCory Krosky- Oh, okay, cool. Not practicing on Wednesday.
12:04Everybody I like in the news today. Yeah, Mike is.
12:07Why isn't he practicing? He doesn't know the butterfly stretch.
12:11I found it a little weird. No, yours was.
12:14Yeah. That was grade seven. Josh Jacobs. That's off the bone.
12:17This is big. Packers general manager came out and said, when asked about a potential Josh Jacobs suspension, the team is preparing for that in case it happens.
12:27Yeah, I don't. Pretty confident we can sustain it, he said.
12:31That does not mean that we wouldn't claim a running back, but we'll deal with that when the time comes.
12:37We're obviously been preparing for that. They don't. This wasn't like new information in terms of like.
12:43That's what I wanted. Yeah, they don't have a new inclination that it's happening.
12:48It's just that it is, as has been stated, a possibility for both him and Puka right now because they haven't been through the NFL's investigations.
12:57Therefore, maybe Marshawn Lloyd ends up with an opportunity.
13:00Marshawn Lloyd definitely should be one of your last round picks at this point, just in case.
13:05Because he's been a laughingstock because of injury. Like, you don't.
13:09He was talented coming out. That's right. We have nothing to evaluate him really on an NFL field.
13:15So you have to go back to your prior, which was like.
13:19A long time ago. People are all in on Jonathan Brooks, who's a slightly higher draft, but not that much higher drafted than Marshawn Lloyd.
13:28And we haven't seen anything from him. So it's interesting.
13:31He definitely has gotten to the tier of player like Tank Bigsby and Blake Corum where I am very interested.
13:38I think the follow-up question from the listenership on this would be, how do you actually approach drafts this weekend, next weekend, when it comes to Josh Jacobs?
13:47Yes. Because that is the ultimate deflation, is taking a player that you have to take in the top three rounds that you could find out.
13:56Look, the way that the general manager worded it, it was like, well, it could happen midseason.
14:02You know what I mean? It might not be at the jump.
14:06It could happen at any time. And I just don't like that hanging over.
14:10I mean, Mike's already been out on Jacobs, but I don't know how much this is factored into it, just having that extra variable.
14:18It's just a piece of it. But yeah, I raised his risk rating in the UDK this morning.
14:24I think it's a more dangerous pick. I still think he is going to be very good when on the field and
14:32has a spot where I wouldn't pass up on him.
14:35But if I take him there, I'd probably take Marshawn Lloyd late in the draft to protect myself.
14:41Yeah, I'd say... I think that's actually... Smart way to do it.
14:45That's the way you should handle it. Like, if you draft Jacobs, I would force Lloyd onto my bench.
14:52I made a trade yesterday for Devontae Adams in our league of record.
14:56Yes. Then I proceeded to post Jerry Rice's age 33 season as inspiration to him.
15:01Was he okay at age 33? He was okay.
15:041,800 yards, 18 touchdowns. How? What? I mean, he's Jerry Rice.
15:08He's the best line receiver. I understand that, but...
15:11Yeah, but I looked at some other guys, too, and there were some pretty dang impressive year 33 seasons.
15:17All that being said, like, one thing we haven't talked about with Puka's rumored potential suspension is, like, if he misses time...
15:25Sure. They don't have... Tutu Atwell's not even there to take anything away.
15:29It's Terrence Ferguson. Terrence Ferguson is their wide receiver three.
15:33I mean, I... I don't... I don't think I'm there, Jay.
15:36That's fine, but... Just be quick on the waiver wire.
15:40I don't know if I'm there because it's... I know they're going to run a bunch of three tight end.
15:46That's the... I mean, that's what they're going to run a ton of.
15:51I mean, he said he's been... He said he never expected to have to learn the X, the Y, the Z.
15:58He's learning every wide receiver position. I know. And maybe you're right.
16:02Maybe you're right. That's a lot of information. Yeah, which is why it's taken him two years to get totally into...
16:09Are we sure they're not just going to snap the ball and he'll just be vibrating?
16:14My problem with them is... I don't know where to go!
16:18I just don't know that he ends up being the highest fantasy scoring tight end on the team.
16:24That's the part that's really hard. I think they have a lot of talent.
16:29It's a crowded room. But we're going to jump into a break here and then it's time.
16:35It's time for the My Guys. One reminder here with big time draft weekends coming up.
16:40Don't forget that the Ultimate Draft Kit is available right now.
16:44All of our tier-based rankings. I mean, I saw mid-show.
16:47Here's an update for you. I saw some of Jason's rankings updates go through mid-show.
16:52That's how often this thing is. You know, this isn't the magazine that you buy that's just permanently three months behind.
16:59Every bit of news, information, depth chart news, training camp, 53-man roster, roster changes.
17:04Those are all updated with our tier-based rankings. All of our player projections, sleepers, breakouts, busts, and values that we've all agreed on, which do get updated.
17:13100-plus player profiles. We're doing some updates to those.
17:16The new mock draft tool. Tons of resources. So, those of you that have had it, you know the resource it is for you on draft day.
17:25You can mark players, do all that stuff. That's ultimatedraftkit.com.
17:29We're going to go ahead and jump into a break, and then it's time, guys.
17:34My guys. Now, I'd be remiss before we start the segment to not give you guys any opportunity.
17:40Every year, I think it's my responsibility to give you a Dante Pettis moment.
17:44Ooh. So, like, right before we reveal, I'm just saying, it's going to throw production into a complete catastrophe over there.
17:51Beautiful. But we don't really pay much attention to that.
17:55So, are there anybody you need to Pettis right now?
17:58Like, withdraw all of my guy from. Yeah. I'm feeling real good.
18:02Mike's feeling good? Yeah, I am too, but I'm going to Pettis Andy.
18:07Wait, me? Yeah. Like, I don't even have my guys now?
18:10Yeah, I'm going to say your second one. Oh, you're Pettising one of my picks.
18:15Yeah. Well, you are the Pettis. It was you.
18:18You are the original and the only. You are the Pettis pivot.
18:22I could misdirect or something. Yeah. Here we go.
18:25Nothing you can take can tear me away from my guy.
18:29Andy. I am so happy that B-Cat is here.
18:32That's what I was going to say. That animation that you forget every year only to- He's just done so much work
18:40redoing animations that I just thought- Why didn't you update?
18:43This is an important show. Why didn't you fix that?
18:46Never. Never change it. He does say Biggest Loser on his shirt.
18:50What a loser. The problem with that- No, that graphic rules.
18:54It's terrible. I know. That's why it rules. If that's the first thing that people saw from us, it's the last thing they ever saw from us.
19:03It's time to get into my guys. 2026, my guys.
19:07Always- Look, this is hard. Because our goal with the my guys, just to state it, and you guys can add to it.
19:14The goal is not to take a player that is obvious.
19:18That is the layup. That is the simple way to do it.
19:22I'll take Jameer Gibbs, please. I mean, that is not the goal of the my guys.
19:27The my guys is to find and plant the flag on three players each that we feel represent tremendous upside.
19:34I mean, we did a show yesterday. We were talking about some players are like, which players in the NFL have bust to league-winning range.
19:43And there's not a lot of guys like that.
19:46That's not necessarily the my guy. But just somebody with high upside and comes in at a draft value.
19:52A lot of the times they're in the offseason, our discussion around my guys is like, if this guy's at this ADP
19:59on this date, he's going to be a my guy.
20:03And so they've fluctuated a little bit. I mean, before we get into it, you know, Alec Pierce for a long time,
20:10I really wanted him as a my guy. This entire season, he was locked as a my guy for you until the last month.
20:18Not enough progress. You know, there were some other players like Kyle Pitts that were in consideration.
20:24You didn't have to say that out loud. We have inside thoughts for a reason.
20:29Can you believe that? I'm going to let you guys go first.
20:33One of you guys go first. All right. I will jump in.
20:37I'm going to start things off last week. I mean, you've got the button, right?
20:42Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I'm just making sure you know what you're doing.
20:47No, no, no. I got it. But the fearless podcast host of the Fantasy Footballers blessed everyone on the UDK.
20:53We released a little sneak peek. So I'm going to start with that one.
20:58Colston Loveland. Oh, Mr. Loveland. Oh, Katzen Doveland. Mr.
21:01Loveland. I am all in. Unsurprised. I am all in.
21:05Look, you're going to be very unsurprised by my my guy picks here.
21:09Colston Loveland. My chips are all in. He's going in the fourth round.
21:13I have no problem with that ADP at all because of what I think he can become.
21:19So it's remembering the story of last year. Tenth overall pick.
21:23He led the team in receiving yards as a 21-year-old rookie tight end.
21:27He's the first rookie tight end to achieve this feat for the franchise since Mike Ditka.
21:33No. Mike Ditka. Dog Bears. Ditka. Look, it was a slow...
21:36But who would win in a fight? Colston Loveland or Mike Ditka?
21:40Oh. Ditka. It's Mike Ditka. It took some time.
21:43You know, training camp. We missed some of it last year.
21:47But by the end of the season, he was the centerpiece of the offense.
21:52Look, the final four games for the Chicago Bears.
21:55So that's week 17-18 and two playoff games. Like, you know, we talk about Ramondre of like when they got in the playoffs, they went to their...
22:04You knew who you believed in. They went to their guy.
22:08And that ended up being Colston Loveland for the Chicago Bears over that time period.
22:1349 targets. Double-digit targets. Four straight weeks, including a wild card game against Green Bay where he caught eight passes for 137 yards and a touchdown.
22:21And in those four games, targeted on 35% of his routes were these empty targets as well.
22:27No. Seven of the 49 were in the red zone.
22:30And they're lining him up all over. This isn't just an in-line player.
22:35Like, they're putting him in the slot. They're putting him out wide.
22:39He is the guy. And you have the quote from your head coach that says, Colston Loveland is the son of the Bears' solar system.
22:47Mm-hmm. You know, we've spent the offseason debating, is it, do you like Luther Byrne?
22:52Do you like Romo Dunze? The answer is Colston Loveland.
22:56One of those, one of the wide receivers can absolutely pay off.
23:00Maybe both of them are pretty good. Colston Loveland is 100% the answer for me.
23:05I want Chicago Bears on my team. And the fact that it is a positional advantage in the fourth round of your
23:12draft, who, in my opinion, like, the reason he's a my guy is because I think that he can finish as the tight end one.
23:21Which is a blasphemous thing to say when Brock Bowers is out there.
23:25I think that Colston can easily surpass McBride this year.
23:28And I think that he can contend with Brock Bowers, who's a second round pick, but you're getting him in the fourth round.
23:36Yeah. The thing about trying to pick the Bears, we love the offense.
23:41You know, I would agree with you, Mike. They love using their top 10 picks on offense.
23:46But whether it's Rome or whether it's Luther Burden, maybe maybe one of those two leads the team in targets over Loveland.
23:54But because he's a tight end, he doesn't have the bar as high as those two wide receivers to be able to
24:01have to be a top three at the position.
24:04So I will say we're not sure exactly where it goes there, but it's hard to imagine him being a bad pick.
24:12It's what he showed in his rookie season was pretty amazing.
24:15You have him being the guy. You have Ben Johnson wanting to run up the score, which, you know, he's making fun hyperbolic statements.
24:23But I think there is a bit of truth to that.
24:27I don't think there was any hyperbolic. I don't think there was an ounce of him being exaggerating.
24:33I think he genuinely is saying his goal is to set the new scoring record.
24:38Even better. Yeah. Even better. If you have the number one guy for a team that one of their goals is to
24:46be the highest scoring offense of all time at a position that gives you a huge advantage over the rest of the league.
24:53I feel like last year people's arguments would have been, but can you count on Caleb Williams?
24:59And I don't feel like that's been a part of any discussion this year, even though we didn't love the completion percentage.
25:07You know, that's not a number that is, you know, well, we'll talk.
25:11We'll talk about him. But it's just 10 targets, 13 targets, 16 targets, 10 targets.
25:16Like, which was that was when the team was finally firing on all center cylinders.
25:21They're not trying to figure things out. They're like, this is what's going to work for us in in the big games that we have to win.
25:30I'm all in. Give me Mr. Loveland. Mr. Loveland.
25:33Well, Jason, I'll let you go next. OK. All right.
25:37For my first. My guy of 2026, I'm going with Garrett Wilson.
25:41Yeah, baby. Yes. Not Gino Smith. I know everyone thought I was going to go Gino Smith.
25:46Not Gino Smith. He feels like you went Gino Smith.
25:50He's he's going to make a impact here in a way.
25:53You did in a way. Garrett Wilson is four years into his career.
25:58And I think that there is a lot of stank on the the Jets stank on his name is being a little overblown.
26:06He has played with and on one of, if not the worst team in his entire career.
26:11Except here's the thing. In those stinky years with the stinky Jets, he is still only one of five players to ever
26:19begin their career with three 80 catch 1000 yard seasons.
26:22And he did it catching passes from eight different bad quarterbacks.
26:26Zach Wilson. Not count. Gino. Mike White. Simeon. Boyle.
26:29Streveler. Old Man Rogers and Tyrod Taylor like. And Martin Van Buren.
26:33And I mean, might as well. Throw him in the ghost of.
26:37He has been an outstanding wide receiver, even for fantasy.
26:40You forget. He's already been a top 10 fantasy wide receiver on this bad Jets team.
26:46And then last year, the most recent example going into year four.
26:50He had to deal with the literal worst passing offense.
26:53Not like just of the year, which it was.
26:56I mean, I want you to understand how bad the Jets passing offense was last year.
27:01They were the only team. There's only one other team in the last decade who threw for fewer yards per game.
27:09They didn't hit 2800 passing yards as a team.
27:12The second worst team last year, the pitiful Browns.
27:15They threw for 400 more yards. And how did Gary Wilson do on that putrid team?
27:20He was the wide receiver five before he went down to injury.
27:24You don't remember how good he was. And it was not just touchdown luck.
27:29I've heard that like, oh, you got it. You got touchdowns.
27:32He did have touchdowns. But if you take those out, he was on pace for 112 receptions at 1300 yards on the
27:40literal worst passing environment that has been out there in the last decade.
27:44It will be better with Gino. It will. There's no way.
27:48I got a quote for you this morning. Just moments ago.
27:52Yeah. Jets offensive coordinator Frank Reich said he has, quote, been so impressed with Gino Smith's play.
27:57There's also a quote this morning talking about OC saying.
28:01Bell cow. Yeah. He's a bell cow. He's talking about.
28:04He gets a question about Omar Cooper Jr. And then at the end of that, he's like, yeah, Garrett Wilson is our bell cow.
28:12Yeah. Breeze bell cow. Garrett Wilson bell cow. I was.
28:16Consolidated offense. Best players play. It just reminded me because people ask us, what do we listen to in coach speak time during training camp?
28:24The Bee Gees. Oh, sorry. It's a great band.
28:27Go on. If you, Bee Gees, if you, if you're listening to a coach and he brings up a name unprompted, like
28:34you're, you know, he's, he tried to judo throw an Omar Cooper Jr.
28:39Well, what I love about Omar is, is Garrett Wilson.
28:42Like those are things to pay attention to. Yeah.
28:45He had four top 15 finishes in the first five weeks before he went down to injury.
28:51Only Jason Amonra and Puka accomplished that feat. And I know what you're saying.
28:56You're saying like, ah, those are great stats, Jason.
28:59You're so handsome and funny. And you know, I love you.
29:02You inspire me to be a better person. But all those stats of Garrett Wilson.
29:08You're not even bald. Are from the past. What about 2026?
29:11What about that? You're talking about the upcoming year?
29:14I'm glad you asked. And I'm glad you asked like that.
29:18Yeah. And put it, phrase it like that. Target share for wide receivers is the stickiest stat per year.
29:24And it is a predictive stat for future success.
29:27Through four seasons, Wilson is averaging 28% target share.
29:30Last year was 30% in seven games. If you sort your platform ADP by target share, you will see one player who is not anywhere near the others.
29:40All of the top 12 guys, anyone that had a 27% target share, they're all being drafted in the top 12.
29:47And then there's Garrett Wilson, who's being drafted around wide receiver 20.
29:51This is the list. It would go JSN, then Garrett Wilson, then Jamar Chase, Puka, Amon Ra, Jefferson, Drake, London, Zay Flowers, AJ Brown, and Chris Olave.
30:00Anyway, that's your top 12 because that stat repeats every year.
30:04Jason barely had enough breath for that. And the final, my final thought is I want to show you like the comparison here.
30:12Go on. Wait, what was the head shake? Oh, crap.
30:15He tried to catch me yawning again. Oh. This live show is taking it out of me, fellas.
30:21Yeah, listen. Yeah, you are putting in work. The team here is putting in work.
30:26And sleeping on the job. If you look at those other players who had a 27% market share or better, they are
30:33drafted so high in every fantasy draft you're in.
30:36And yeah, it makes sense for a lot of them, right?
30:40JSN, Jamar, Puka. What about Drake London? Listen, Drake London has a bad quarterback.
30:45He has a bad offense. Who's better? Pua? Which is what I'm now calling Penix and Tua.
30:51Oh. Yeah, it's a Bennifer. Yes, exactly. You found it.
30:54It's not as good. Yeah, but it's Pua. Oh, no.
30:57But who's better, Pua or Geno Smith? Let's say Pua's better.
31:01Or not. It's like one of these guys is going in the second round and the other is in the fourth round.
31:08Fifth round on Yahoo right now for Garrett Wilson.
31:12And you go, well, but we saw it last year.
31:15We saw it last year. But Drake London with bad quarterback play.
31:19What are you talking about? Garrett Wilson outscored last year in games they played.
31:24Garrett Wilson had a point more on average with his bad quarterback play.
31:28So, to me, Garrett Wilson in the fourth, in the fifth, I love grabbing him.
31:33I'm so confident that he is being drafted at his floor.
31:37He's being drafted around wide receiver 20 to 22.
31:40He's not finishing lower than that. And he has, to me, the potential to be a top 10 wide receiver this year.
31:47Did you see? This was yesterday. There was Ian Rappaport.
31:51The quote came out. He believes that Tua's play has made the plan to make him the starter at the beginning of the season.
31:59Quote, impossible. That's, yes. Yes, it has. Pua. Pua.
32:02Like, holy crap. He's just. A man on the NFL network is saying, this dude is so bad, it's impossible.
32:08And we thought it was impossible for him not to get the job because of how bad panic was last year.
32:16And this is, take Drake London in the second if you want.
32:20Or take Garrett Wilson in the fourth. One of the top trending names on sleeper dynasty leagues right now is the Falcons third string quarterback.
32:28That makes sense. Do I remember what his name is?
32:31No, it doesn't matter. It's not Pua. All right, my first, my guy.
32:36Travion Henderson. You did it again. What? Travian Henderson?
32:39You did it again. After all that. You've been talking about Romandre.
32:43You're crazy. This was all a hoodwink. Dude. I didn't know he was that much in on handover.
32:49I get the apology now. I get the apology now.
32:52And it still worked. You ever seen Austin Powers 2?
32:56Gosh dang it. It's hilarious. All right, so tell us why.
32:59It's not Travo. It's not Travo. Now I don't know what button to push to get my real my guy.
33:06Dajon Stribling. How did I not see it coming?
33:09I don't know, man. Dajon Stribling, wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, is the official my guy.
33:15You've taken the air out of that sale. Well, here's the deal.
33:19I want to take shots at rookie wide receivers in fantasy.
33:23That's what I want to do. Since 2019, we've had at least four rookie wide receivers finish inside the top 36 every single year.
33:31Last year was an exception. We had two of them in that category.
33:35Things kind of didn't work out. But Dajon Stribling right now, we talked about this weeks ago.
33:41I actually told Jason yesterday. I feel like he's sort of ruining the my guy here by playing too well in the preseason and getting everybody's attention.
33:50But the fact is there's just not enough time between now and draft days, or two weeks ago and draft days, for
33:58his ADP to move up to a place that I would be uncomfortable taking Dajon Stribling.
34:03This is the 33rd overall pick in the NFL draft.
34:06There are some things hanging over Dajon Stribling in terms of why people have been slow to buy in and believe.
34:14One of them is the propensity for the 49ers to overdraft players that don't work out.
34:19We've seen it with Trey Sermon. We've seen it.
34:22I mean, you could go to Dante Pettis. You can go to any of these other guys.
34:28It's really difficult to trust them, taking a player that not everybody projected to be drafted this high.
34:34Dajon Stribling, the actual player, is somebody that you're going to fall in love with week after week after week for the 49ers.
34:42Not even saying anything about the fact Mike Evans is barely on the field right now.
34:47Ricky Pearsall's been knocked out. George Kittle's coming back from an Achilles at an older age.
34:52Christian Kirk's already been hurt. They don't have other options in the receiving game, but it's not just, hey, Stribling is going
35:00to succeed because he's the last man left. Stribling is going to succeed because he is a dynamic, great NFL-wide receiver.
35:07He's 6'2", 207. If you haven't gone back and watched collegiate film, you've probably seen some highlights from the preseason.
35:14This is a huge catch radius guy. This is the best friend of quarterbacks.
35:18Great hands. Elite ball-tracking skills. And really, if you see him with the ball in his hands, above average yak for a big guy.
35:26Great acceleration. Ran a 4-3-6 at the combine. And when you look at what he did on the collegiate level, a lot
35:34of the big performances came right up until the final college playoffs.
35:38He averaged 84 yards a game over his last five games.
35:41But what I love to see, he put up huge games against Georgia, right?
35:46One of the best teams in college football. 3 for 94 and a touchdown.
35:517 for 122. The fact that they believe in this rookie-wide receiver on this level, that Kyle Shanahan has put so much trust in him.
35:59We've got to remember, it was Dante Pettis in the doghouse forever.
36:03It was Brandon Ayuk. Could not get the kind of playing time and really, what I like, a focal point of the offense.
36:11Right? Shanahan draws up. We've looked at this in years past.
36:15We've talked to Juszczyk. Like, he draws up, plays for players.
36:19He designs offenses for the strengths of their players.
36:22To me, the camp buzz combined with what we saw in the preseason, the draft capital, the availability of other players.
36:29Shanahan came out and said that Stribling was picking up things in a hurry in his presser.
36:34Continues to look like if healthy, he could have a fairly extensive role early on.
36:39He's broken every record in terms of preseason target share for rookies.
36:44Brock Purdy said he's a really smart dude. He's been a guy that's come in and shows that he understands everything.
36:51To me, this is actually the strangest situation for fantasy, which is a safe rookie wide receiver.
36:56That's what I think Dajon Stribling is. That is right now, what's his ADP?
37:0113th round on ESPN, maybe that's a little delayed.
37:0411th round in Sleeper. 10th round in Yahoo. Let's call him a 10th round pick, 10-0-1.
37:09I'd take him ahead of that. Yeah. I'd take him way ahead of that.
37:14I'm with you of this is a shot worth taking of maybe you've got to jump in early and you're like, I'm
37:22going to take him in the 8th. Okay. Great.
37:25He's an 8th round pick. The true upside options in the 8th round.
37:29In the 8th round, you're like, I hope I get a guy who's going to be in my flex all year.
37:36Take some shots here. I love it. Like you said, Andy, Shanahan makes game plans around single players.
37:42It's been kill before? Yeah. Debo. Debo's the guy to me that I don't think if Debo was drafted for the Jets would have been a sensational superstar.
37:52I don't think his skill set was very unique to him.
37:55He was a tackle breaker, yards after catch guy.
37:58But this is the type of player that Shanahan is going to get the ball in his hands in space.
38:05Like I think if he had gotten a Luther Burden or a Stribling, it's just a match made in heaven.
38:12So I do love that. And there's been some talk.
38:15I think it was Malik Turner, another guy on the wide receiver depth chart, was taking snaps above Debo, who is on this team.
38:23Yeah, I think Debo's buried. But like Debo's involvement in this offense is just not something that's going to impact Stribling.
38:30All right, Mike, let's go back to you. All right.
38:34You blew us away with the fact that you like Colston Loveland.
38:38Yeah, Colston Loveland. There's another guy that I have just been waiting, waiting for him to finally be allowed.
38:44Mike could be in this show. Mike could not resist it.
38:48It's time, I guess. It has to. It has to be.
38:52Kenneth Walker. Yeah, baby! It's time! Kenneth Walker. There it is.
38:55We had to put Kenneth Walker because there's some people new to the show.
39:00That was so respectful. That's like when you got a diploma on the front of the stage.
39:06Kenneth Walker. Yeah, but then he walked off and flashed people right there.
39:10A.K.A. Ken Bone Walker, one of my favorite running backs of the modern era.
39:15Why do I like him? The year of Mike continues.
39:18He's going in the middle of the second round.
39:21And I think Kenneth Walker should be in the first round in terms of what he's going to provide for fantasy football teams.
39:29He just got paid. A three-year deal worth up to $45 million.
39:33It's the fifth highest fully guaranteed running back contract in the league.
39:37The Kansas City Chiefs immediately went out and said, we need to fix things.
39:42And how are we going to fix it? We're going to fix it with Kenneth Walker.
39:47Last year, Kansas City was dead last as a team in explosive rush rate.
39:52One 20-plus yard run. Kenneth Walker had 10 by himself.
39:5515% of his rush attempts went for 10 or more yards.
39:59Third best among running backs last year. The Kansas City Chiefs, the entire team was just, they were not explosive.
40:06They had four offensive plays of 20 or more yards that resulted in a touchdown.
40:11The Kansas City Chiefs, the big play, high-flying Patrick Mahomes Chiefs, could not score from outside of the 20.
40:17They were tied for the fewest in the NFL.
40:20Kansas City, dead last and forced missed tackle rate.
40:23Who's number one at the running back position? Oh!
40:26Ken Bone Walker. Kenneth Walker, number one enforced missed tackle rate because he is always there.
40:32He is always there. And now he's going to get his opportunity.
40:36Speaking of opportunity, the playoffs. Over the three games in the playoffs, Kenneth Walker, 74 touches, 417 scrimmage yards.
40:42So that's almost 25 touches a game. In those games, guys, he was averaging, if you were playing fantasy, 23.4 points.
40:49The playoffs. The best of the best. And he's averaging over 20 points a game?
40:54Like, the depth chart of Kansas City. There is nothing there in terms of challenge, truly challenging Kenneth Walker.
41:01Yeah, like, yes, look, Demarcato is there. He seemed like the de facto two.
41:05Maybe it's Emmitt now. Maybe it's Emmitt Johnson. Mahomes is coming off of a major injury.
41:11They know that they have to figure this out through the running back position.
41:15The accolades, the talk of Kenneth Walker has been absolutely outrageous coming out of Kansas City of saying, he's a full package player.
41:23He's going to do everything. We didn't bring him in just to carry the ball.
41:28We're going to get him. We're going to throw him the ball as well.
41:33Let me put you on the spot. Please do.
41:36Let me interrupt. I know you have the stats to back up to Ken Bone Walker.
41:41But I'm going to put you on the spot with the My Guy because he's a second-round pick.
41:48Ken Bone Walker can finish as high as RB.
41:51How high can he finish? Well, I just feel like the My Guy, you said he's a first-round pick.
41:57Yeah, he is. We always look at it and we say, can they be number one?
42:02If Jameer Gibbs stays healthy all year, Kenneth Walker can't pass him.
42:06But if Kenneth Walker stays healthy, he can be the running back too.
42:11Okay. I wanted that soundbite. Do you – like opportunities.
42:14Okay. Andy Reid. It's been an absolute dumpster fire for the last, what, six or seven years, really since Kareem Hunt was able to do anything.
42:23But from 2004 to 2018, Andy Reid's running back one averaged 22 opportunities per game, 110 total yards per game, almost 20 PPR points per game.
42:32Look, this is not a bad team. We want running backs on great teams.
42:36What do lead backs on teams with 10.5 win totals do on average?
42:41Over 1,250 total yards, 10.5 total touchdowns. And look, the beginning of the season, the Chiefs are very favored.
42:47In fact, they have the bye week in week five, but through their first five games, they're favored in all of them.
42:55And Kenneth – this is – it feels like Christian McCaffrey of last year.
42:59Whereas how does Christian McCaffrey fail? He gets hurt.
43:02That's it. If you want to bet that Kenneth Walker is going to get hurt, okay.
43:08He's missed some games in his past. But when you have a player where the only path for failure is just getting
43:15hurt, I think that's a – like, that's a player you want to be all in on.
43:21Because literally any player can get hurt. But it's like Bijan.
43:25Bijan's the consensus number two, and I'm not going to argue it.
43:29Things could go bad. Like – You mean with Pua?
43:32Yes. Like, the team environment of the Atlanta Falcons – Bijan is an amazing player because it wasn't great last year, but
43:39things could go wrong for Bijan that are not in his control.
43:43It seems like games this year could be started by Jack Strand or Cooper Rush on the Falcons.
43:50Yes. Which is terrifying. Yeah. Give me Patrick Mahomes.
43:53Ken Bone Walker. Yeah. Not a surprise. We'll take a break.
43:56Mike, come back with five more My Guys for 2026.
44:00All right, we're back. Colston Loveland, Ken Bone Walker for Mike so far.
44:04Jason with Garrett Wilson. I've got Dajon Stribling. And Jason, you're back up.
44:08It is time to reveal your second My Guy.
44:11I've got Garrett Wilson, who I think is a value in fantasy football.
44:16I'm going with another value at wide receiver. A couple rounds later, it's a rookie.
44:21Carnell Tate. Maybe on Henderson. You wish. Carnell Tate.
44:24I can't believe it worked again. Yeah, baby. I didn't even think about it.
44:29Now I'm going to think about it. Yeah. You should question every time.
44:33You don't even know if the next one was.
44:36I don't. I don't know what the next one is.
44:39Did you say coo me twice? No. I think you said shame on me.
44:44Who knows? Fool me twice. Fool me twice. There you go.
44:48I was going to compliment you on. Listen. That's a funny phrase.
44:52I might have said a horrible curse word. I don't have any idea.
44:56That's why you won't remember next year and we will get you again.
45:01Yeah. My memory. We will. Carnell Tate, wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans, drafted number four overall.
45:06I mean, this is a super highly drafted, potential superstar wide receiver who is not being drafted that way.
45:13And we know why he's not being drafted that way.
45:16It's worries about Cam Ward and the offense. You know, you've got Wondale Robinson and a new coordinator, all that.
45:23But here's the thing. When you're drafted in the top 10, you are guaranteed 100 targets.
45:28You're really good. And here's it. I mean, he's really good.
45:32That is the lead here is do not forget what a sensational superstar Carnell Tate is.
45:37He was a five-star recruit coming out of high school.
45:41He led the nation in passer rating when targeted.
45:44Five touchdowns of 40-plus yards or more. He shared the field with Jeremiah Smith, who is one of those generational wide receivers.
45:51Oh, man. I wish they had the first pick next year.
45:55He's sharing the field with Jeremiah Smith. He missed three games, and yet he still put up 875 yards with nine touchdowns
46:02and five of those over 40 yards. He caught 12 of 14 contested catches.
46:07He never dropped a pass. Like, this is a great wide receiver.
46:11Early in camp, everything was how he was dominating.
46:14And then the preseason hits. Preseason. Domination. Five targets, zero receptions.
46:18He's done. He sucks. Cam Ward can't possibly hit him with this vanilla offense.
46:23I just want to remind people. Jamar Chase, preseason.
46:26One reception on five targets. Drake London, one catch on one target.
46:30A.J. Brown, one catch on three targets. You're using 100% catch right in there, Jay.
46:35I heard it. Sure. Sure. My point is the preseason.
46:38I mean, we remember when Jamar Chase couldn't catch a football because the college ball had stripes in the NFL.
46:45Like, these are great wide receivers. He is a great wide receiver who is the clear best wide receiver on his team.
46:52Drafted number four. So, that means he will be playing, you know, near 100% snaps from week one right out the gate.
47:00And he's not being drafted where these other highly drafted rookies have been drafted recently.
47:05You look at rookies wide receivers. Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!
47:08Whoa! Rookie wide receivers. What are you saying? Drafted this high.
47:11I mean, you had to take Marvin Harrison in the second round.
47:15You had to take Malik Neighbors in the third.
47:18Amari Cooper in the fourth. Even last year, Ted Arroa was a fifth round pick.
47:24And he had a bad quarterback play. You now have Carnell Tate coming into a team.
47:29And I just want to remind you. Two years ago.
47:32Not long ago. Two years ago. We had an offense that took a wide receiver number six overall.
47:38They had Brian Dayball running the show. And the wide receiver two was Wandale Robinson.
47:43It's literally the same offensive coordinator with the same human at wide receiver two.
47:48Drafting their potential superstar, you know, top five in the NFL draft.
47:52And Wandale had a ton of targets. That's the thing about...
47:56Dayball targets his wide receiver one like crazy. Digs both years in Buffalo.
48:00Neighbors. His wide receiver one is targeted. And I know the quarterback play is the issue.
48:06But, I mean, look. I mean, Tommy DeVito, Drew Locke, Tim Boyle.
48:10Are they really that much worse or better than Cam Ward?
48:13That was who Malik Neighbors was averaging like 180 targets.
48:17This is a good pick. He's being drafted at his floor.
48:20His seventh round in ESPN and Yahoo. He has the potential to be a top 15 wide receiver year one.
48:27And he can't possibly be worse than where he's drafted right now.
48:31Like wide receiver 29 or 30? Get out of here.
48:35All right. Mike's my guy. Carnell Tate, my next my guy.
48:38Mike's? Caleb Williams. What? Did he say Mike? He did.
48:42Can we get that? Yeah, I got you. What did he say?
48:46Jason's my guy. Carnell Tate. Caleb Williams is my my guy number two for the 2026 combo season.
48:52Yeah, I didn't know how long to wait to reveal the Caleb Williams with your Colston Loveland.
48:58I like it. Here we go. Eighth round pick on ESPN.
49:01Seventh round pick on Sleeper. And there's a number of things I want to talk about with Caleb.
49:07Obviously, you touched on what this offense wants to do with Ben Johnson.
49:12What his expectations are. I mean, you saw a massive uptick in performance from the Bears last year in year one of learning this system with Ben Johnson.
49:21And the only real negative thing we point at, which, by the way, his ADP is the quarterback seven off the board.
49:29That's what he was last year. So that's the that's where he's being drafted.
49:33You've got rushing upside with Caleb Williams. You've got three elite receiving talents that we believe in in Burden, Loveland and Odunze.
49:41He has, you know, his tendency is to give you valuable for fantasy passes, fourth most end zone pass attempts in the league.
49:48And I expect a huge level up from him this year.
49:52And one of the things that people point out, the biggest thing is the completion percentage.
49:58And they worked on his intermediate throws last year.
50:01Ben Johnson did. There's a great chart put out by Ryan Heath of fantasy points that looks at, I mean, literally like
50:08100 pieces of data in terms of what things correlate in terms of quarterback statistics with the following season's fantasy points per game.
50:16Completion percentage is one of the lowest correlations to fantasy points per game for that quarterback the next year.
50:22Thanks, Josh Allen. It's way down the list. You know, things like avoided sacks is a mat is three times as valuable
50:30in correlation to fantasy points per game for that next season.
50:33Then completion percentage. What have the the Bears committed themselves to putting Caleb Williams in the position where he is not being
50:41sacked like he was as a rookie, which almost broke the records or broke the record last year.
50:47They repaired this offensive line pressure to sack ratio.
50:50That's another high correlation. The things that they have fixed on this offense, they jumped from 28th in points per game to
50:57ninth in points per game last year. This is the scoring environment you want for fantasy.
51:03That's one year of Ben Johnson, one year of Ben Johnson.
51:06And so I think you see a huge step forward.
51:10You can go look at first round quarterbacks who finished top 10 in year two and then say, hey, how was year three for those guys?
51:18Well, 60 percent of them were up over that 20 fantasy points per game.
51:23You've got a long history of these guys that have made the jump.
51:28It's just something where I'm looking at this team.
51:31And if you wipe out a little bit of the just like the Bears can't pass.
51:36They'll never get 4000 yards. Look, I think they figure it out this year.
51:41I think that, you know, both of us believe or maybe all of us believe that the Bears are making a step forward on the offense.
51:49What's wild is you're going to have two of the best offenses in football in the same division with with Detroit and the Bears.
51:58But you've got weapons, offensive line, play caller, pass catching, running back, rushing upside for Caleb Williams.
52:03He's dropped 15 pounds. I am just I love that.
52:07I'm so excited about Caleb this year. And Bears fans can finally believe me when I say I've never been against you.
52:14I've just been I've just been subject to the realities of the NFL.
52:18And sometimes that looks like you don't like a team or a player.
52:23We are water. We are subject to what's changing.
52:26Yeah. Caleb losing 15 pounds is such a big deal to me because there's a player that you want to know takes it serious.
52:34You know, he does. That's like one of the knocks is maybe he's not as focused as you'd want your quarterback one to be.
52:42But he is Kyler Murray. I mean, if Kyler Murray could have taken one of those offseason is like I put on two inches.
52:50That would have been so cool. You know, they each have their roles to play.
52:55But Caleb, Caleb dropped 15 pounds. He's taking it serious.
52:59We love the Bears offense. And all of those things go back to Caleb.
53:03I will say this. My counter argument. And I think it's decently compelling.
53:08The case against Caleb Williams. I don't know, Andy, if you have seen this picture.
53:13I don't think the irony is where you're seated.
53:16Where I'm seated. I feel very. The picture is fine.
53:19Oh, man. You know what that is? I thought we were going.
53:23It's all three screens there. That's zoom. I feel.
53:26But I don't think the picture is wild. Here's the truth.
53:30Oh, what about now? What about now, Andy? I don't know.
53:34It's too sultry. It's too sultry. If you ever have them wearing these uniforms where they have those light colored, like the
53:41light colored pants and the dark socks, these guys always look a little different.
53:46Look, this is the first time I'm going to say it this year.
53:50No butterfly stretch. No butterfly stretch. Not in those pants.
53:53Jason looks like he's actually kind of cringing. Well, I'm like.
53:57This is your bit. I'm in the fire. I didn't realize.
54:01And you are his bit. All right, Mike. The next my guy.
54:05The last one. One more each. All right. It's this is my Alec Pierce because this was a player that I statted out the UDK.
54:13I was going through the all the doing the projections, you know, looking at the top level and then filtering things down
54:21of how I think it's going to shake out for that team.
54:25A player really popped like a when I went and saw where his Reiki was.
54:30I went, oh, that's spicy. And it didn't work out for you with Alec Pierce of the injury stuff.
54:36But the news just kept getting. I wanted Alec Pierce to be the guy.
54:41It just kept getting better and better. And here we are.
54:45Christian Watson. Christian Watson, wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers.
54:48We are entering year five. They just gave him a fresh set of cash with a four year extension.
54:55The problem for Christian Watson has never, ever been talent on the field here.
55:00Wide receiver since the year 2000 to average 17 or more yards per reception and catch 20 touchdowns through their first four years.
55:07Deshaun Jackson, Mike Wallace, Christian Watson. He can hit the big play.
55:11Absolutely. The problem has been volume for Christian Watson.
55:14And health. I was going to say, if there's ever a player you've needed hamstring insurance on the show.
55:21Absolutely. That one. That's your biggest risk. Ken Walker.
55:24I'll fight people on the health argument. Christian Watson.
55:27They're winning. Yeah. If you want to come at me with the health argument, I'll say, yeah, you're probably right.
55:34But truly, volume also was an issue because the Green Bay Packers were rotating all of their guys.
55:40You had Romeo Dobbs, who was kind of their de facto possession number one wide receiver.
55:45Dontavian Wicks would come in and just, he would rotate players off the field because Wicks is a capable pass catcher.
55:52Those guys are gone. It is now consolidated. It's Christian Watson and Matthew Golden as the two starters.
55:58And then Jaden Reed's the slot player. But last year, recovering from yet another injury from an ACL tear.
56:05But from week 11 on, he was the wide receiver 11 in fantasy football.
56:09He was giving you huge, huge spike weeks. During that time, the per route metrics were elite.
56:15Second in yards per route run behind only Luther Burden.
56:18He was tied with JSN for third in targets per route run.
56:22And then a metric that we know is fairly predictive for next year.
56:27Over that time period, he was first in, this one's a mouthful, but first in the NFL in first downs per route run.
56:35It's like, they're going to him. They're going to him early.
56:38When you look at the nine my guys, and I know a couple haven't been revealed yet, I think Christian Watson has
56:46the potential to impact fantasy teams in the most significant way of almost all the names because of where you're drafting him
56:53and what he represents for your team. Which is a, right now on Sleeper, a late round, sixth round pick.
57:00Late round, sixth round, as they say. Sorry, a late sixth round pick.
57:04On ESPN, I don't know what clown show business is going on over there because he's in the ninth round.
57:11Maybe just weird mock drafts, but late sixth round for a player who can do what I think Watson's going to do this year.
57:19It's exciting. It's absolutely outrageous. Why don't we like Jordan Love?
57:23Because we can make this, you can make this exact same argument for liking Matthew Golden, the consolidation.
57:29Yeah. You can make it for Tucker Craft, the consolidation.
57:32We like Jaden Reed, like whether his role, like for Jordan Love, he's great.
57:37I mean, even if Jaden Reed's not reliable week to week.
57:41So you got four names that are pretty interesting.
57:44And I feel like maybe Jordan Love's been just like, I haven't heard.
57:48Thank you for bringing up Jordan Love. Oh, that's why we're a team.
57:52The reason why people wouldn't love Jordan Raitt is because the Packers were 28th in pass rate last year.
57:59Yeah. However, Jordan Love was efficient among 38 qualifying running or quarterbacks with 200 or more dropbacks.
58:05First in EPA with a clean pocket. Sixth in passer rating.
58:08Seventh in completion percentage over expectation. And fourth in pressure to sack ratio.
58:13Andy, some of the stuff you were talking about for Caleb.
58:16And this year, there's talk of stuff being a little bit different.
58:20More balanced. They're playing under center more with more play action than we have seen the Green Bay Packers in recent history.
58:28Watson's going to play the Z receiver role. So he's going to move.
58:32He's going to be in motion. The stuff that we love for fantasy football.
58:37You can draft him easily as your wide receiver three.
58:40And I think before the end of the year, he's your wide receiver two.
58:45Maybe even a wide receiver one type of a player.
58:48They changed. It's interesting. This is per Josh Norris.
58:51Look, Christian Watson's out routes from 2022 to 24, just 7.7 where he's breaking horizontally, which we need those routes.
58:58We can't have you just being the sacrificial X running a fly route.
59:03As long as he doesn't break horizontally or vertically, I'd be happy.
59:07But so he went from 7.7 to 35% last year.
59:10They were using him truly in a different fashion with the consolidation, with what I think is going on with Josh Jacobs,
59:17not just the suspension stuff, with the efficiency of...
59:20I think that LeFleur is seeing that I've got to start trusting Jordan Love more and changing this offense.
59:27Christian Watson going in the 6 is an absolute smash pick for me.
59:31If you had ever removed him from the board the last six months, I think he would have been somebody strongly considered for a My Guy Almighty.
59:40I just totally believe in the value. I think he's the perfect target for fantasy because the talent is there, but the fatigue is high.
59:49Yeah, the injury history is why he's low. I mean, if he had played a full season last year or even the year prior...
59:57Or ever. Or ever. He'd be drafted higher. If he had ever played a season.
60:02Yeah. I mean, and that is genuinely still the worry.
60:05Like, when I think about drafting Christian Watson, I'm still a little gun-shy because of, like, the injury history.
60:12He's just never been able to stay healthy. But if you're getting him at, like, the 6-7 turn...
60:18Upside. Absolutely. The injury risk is baked in there.
60:21I walked into that one. He grew up. All right.
60:24Well, I'm going to take a guy who was injured last year.
60:28All right. Omarion Hampton. I am in love with Omarion Hampton.
60:32All offseason, this has been the guy that I haven't really pivoted from.
60:36Everything is set up for him to dominate. I loved him coming out of college.
60:41I think he is a phenomenal three-down fantasy football running back.
60:45What he does is perfect for fantasy football. He is the goal line back.
60:50He had 80% of the goal line carries last year, which would have been fourth in the NFL.
60:56He is a pass-catching running back with a pass-catching...
60:59Pass-running back check-down quarterback. I mean, remember Austin Eckler with Justin Herbert?
61:03In this short rookie season that Hampton had, he averaged 19 routes per game, 3.6 receptions per game.
61:09And he started out as that dude. The first five weeks before the injury, he led all running backs and avoided tackles per carry.
61:17Now the change of everything around him is positive, positive, positive.
61:21I know that their new free agent center got injured.
61:24That does stink. But their offensive line is still significantly better.
61:28I mean, they have two superstar tackles in Joe Ault, Rashawn Slater.
61:32They didn't have either of them last year. They're both back now.
61:36They're both on the field. And they're going to dominate and mow these guys down.
61:41They brought Alec Ingold in the fullback. Where did he come from?
61:45Oh, he came from Mike McDaniel's team that runs this outside zone to great success with a fullback, getting guys out, pulling,
61:52and breaking away opportunities for Devon Achan. Devon Achan was the second highest yards per route run on those outside zone schemes.
62:00You know who was third? Omari and Hampton. So you've got this team that I think is going to win a ton of games.
62:08They've got a good defense. They're projected to win a lot of games.
62:12You have an offensive line that is better. You have proof from his rookie season of how good he was.
62:19You have an offensive mastermind joining the fray who gets his guys the ball.
62:24Yeah, I know. He says, oh, we're going to go hot hand.
62:28They're going to go hot hand-ton is what they're going to do.
62:32Okay. Because he's going to be- Get this guy out of here.
62:36That's a swish! Get him out of here! Yeah!
62:39I got it. I got it in. That was a swish.
62:43Heck yeah. I had to swipe pages. I couldn't get to the booze.
62:47Woo! Yeah, hot hampton. He's going to get the rock.
62:50Hot. Repeating it is always helpful. Hot hampton. Well, I'll repeat it all season long because he's going to be running with the hot hampton.
62:59Rookie, the thing is, is when you draft a running back in the first round, year two, it pretty much always crushes in fantasy football.
63:0712 of the 15 players in that situation, they average 18 or more opportunities per game.
63:13Those players average 10.3 touchdowns per game. I just think everything is set up.
63:17He's on a great offense. He is fairly alone.
63:20I don't worry about Keaton Mitchell being, you know, the goal line back or the- What about Silky Smooth?
63:27The regular- Vidal Sassoon. Vidal Sassoon is going to be a backup.
63:31He's going to touch the ball enough. He's going to catch the ball enough.
63:36He's going to be around the goal line enough.
63:39And when I look at year two running, it's like, I would definitely take him over Gentie.
63:44The situation is so much better for Hampton. I don't see how he fails.
63:49I thought you said year two guys are awesome.
63:52Yeah, I mean, that's what I'm saying. Gentie is awesome, and I would take Hampton over him.
63:58That's why he's a my guy. All right. I didn't realize I had timed this up so poorly.
64:04Same team. Lad McConkie. Lad McConkie. Bears and Chargers, baby.
64:07I guess so. I didn't even think about it when we had those two guys up on the board.
64:14Two great offenses. For me, Lad McConkie has been the name that has been the most locked on the board for the most amount of time.
64:22To me, this is, you know, Jason's talked a little bit about the context for the offense in Los Angeles.
64:29This is a team favorite to win the division.
64:32It's got Mike McDaniel. You know, Mike McDaniel himself came out and said, essentially, I think it's reasonable as an expectation to
64:40exceed whatever career highs the wide receiver room has had across the board.
64:44There's untapped potential. We've seen great things from Lad McConkie.
64:47But to me, he jumps off the page this year as sort of the JSN story that we got from last year.
64:55JSN was not, if you remember, he was not drafted anywhere near where he was finished or where he finished.
65:01And like Lad had a very disappointing sophomore season.
65:04And you look at the numbers and it's like six fewer targets year to year.
65:10What actually happened was the catch rate plummeted because Justin Herbert was under fire all the time and they had different injuries
65:17and struggles throughout this team, including Herbert's, you know, is Herbert elite?
65:21You know, that's a question that we need answered.
65:24But the situation there with the offensive line improvements, you know, Lad is one of seven wide receivers over the last decade
65:31with 200 plus targets, 1900 receiving yards, 13 touchdowns through two seasons.
65:36The other names, Michael Thomas, Justin Jefferson, Waddle, Chase, good company.
65:39And all of those players, anybody that's ever done that in the history of the league, were all top 24 picks the next year.
65:47Well, that's not the, you know, that that's a tough situation where you're like, Hey, Lad McConkie has the potential to do what JSN does.
65:56There were doubts about JSN being able to play outside.
65:59There's no more Keenan Allen soaking up that league.
66:02I mean, he was the team's leading receiver last year is gone.
66:06And Lad McConkie, I don't think any of us has had doubt about his talent and ability, but, you know, last year,
66:14Keenan Allen cost Lad a ton of numbers, a ton of production.
66:18This team has a lot of potential. And the biggest problem with the Chargers is just the what will go wrong narrative.
66:25What's going to happen? I mean, that's the same thing I think about with Hampton.
66:30It's like, I traded Hampton. Do I want to?
66:33Not really. We loved him coming out of college, but I'm afraid of what's going to go wrong on this team.
66:40Lad McConkie is more than a slot receiver. His horizontal breaking routes, that's the bread and butter, but he can go deep.
66:48Last year, best yards per route run on go routes.
66:51Puka, Jaden Reed, AJ Brown, Lad McConkie. He was number four.
66:55And the draft cost is a round discount from last year.
66:58Yes, he was overdrafted last year. People expected that rookie season to continue and him to finish as a top 12 guy again.
67:06Didn't happen, but now you get a discount. So for me, I think this is one of those ones that seems really obvious.
67:14Mike McDaniel, Justin Herbert, a loss of their leading receiver last year.
67:18You're not going to have volume production out of Trey Harris.
67:22You're not going to have volume production out of Quentin Johnston.
67:25You're going to have Lad McConkie be the key cog in the receiving game.
67:30So that's why he's my guy. Lad McConkie is going to crush this year.
67:35He is going to be so good. Keenan Allen was the wide receiver eight a couple years ago.
67:41So Keenan being gone, Lad being the clear best wide.
67:44I mean, I like Trey Harris. You know, there's a place for huge down the field.
67:50The ball is moving through Lad and Hampton on a great offense.
67:54I mean, they move Tyreek and Waddell around all the time under Mike McDaniel.
67:58They're going to move Lad around. He's not just going to play in the slot.
68:03He's going to be outside. He's going to be moved around and focused on.
68:08And he wins. He wins down the field. My concerns early in the offseason, again, Andy, it's never been talent.
68:15It was, man, how do you have the rookie season that McConkie had?
68:19And then you bring in Keenan Allen and you're just like feels like you've replaced a second year player who looks like
68:27he was about to be a superstar. Like that felt really bad.
68:31It was weird. It took some time to get over that of are they going to do the right thing?
68:38Of our opinion, would they do the right thing and make sure that Lad McConkie is the focal piece of the passing offense?
68:45And over the offseason, my concerns have lowered. Yeah, McDaniel will do that.
68:50Yes. And, you know, it feels – it's always funky and funny when you get to like the end result and you're
68:57like, I can't believe I had some concerns about it.
69:00But last year was – like that was so weird.
69:04But we're washing that away just like they washed away G-Row and then they bring in Mike McDaniels.
69:10So far, I mean, my read on Lad, rookie year I was all in.
69:15That was great. Yeah. Sophomore year, I was out.
69:18I was out in his draft. I am so in and so jealous that Andy got Lad.
69:23He's going to – he's so good at football.
69:26Did you guys see the latest breaking news? Really smart work.
69:30Do I need to hit a button? No, it's not that important, but it's just really, really smart work from Michael Penix.
69:37He will not play in preseason week three. So I can only assume he will be the starter.
69:44He's going to let Tua give him the job.
69:47Is that like skipping a political debate? Yeah. Yeah.
69:50And then if you know that your opponents are going to fail on that stage, let them do work.
69:56Skip the debate. Just a quick blurb. Luther Burden returned to practice.
70:00That seems good. You're my guy. Yeah. We love it.
70:03Yeah, we love it. We do need those weapons there.
