A.J. Brown

NegativeRole15:48

The source notes AJ Brown is gone from the Eagles, citing his departure as part of the narrative around the team's potential decline heading into the season.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveSleeper17:57

Late-round receiver the source was shocked is not being drafted anywhere despite being available; source explicitly states 'I want to see him in week one,' indicating strong interest in his week one performance.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveRole13:12

Baker Mayfield signed a three-year, $165 million deal with the Buccaneers ($55 million per year) after expressing disappointment with the team's direction; the source frames this as a positive resolution after Mayfield had previously stated he would not negotiate further.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection33:06

The source identifies Brock Bowers as having the best chance among tight ends around the league to reach 10 touchdowns, positioning him as the top touchdown-upside tight end prospect.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

NegativeMatchup23:18

In three starts against the Rams, Purdy has averaged only 213 passing yards; source is 'not really, really excited about the 49ers pass catchers in general' for this specific matchup and would prefer Matthew Stafford or Jackson Dart over Purdy.

Insight page

Bryce Young

NegativeProjection15:51

The source expresses concern about Bryce Young's passing production, setting a low bar for fantasy relevance: "Bryce Young, please throw for more than 200. 200 yards more than four times this year. That's all." The speaker notes frustration that Young is underperforming relative to the weapons around him, stating "There are too many weapons on your team that we like for fantasy that you are ruining."

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveUsage24:00

McCaffrey receives heavy volume against the Rams; despite averaging only 2.5 yards per carry in last two matchups, he has received 53 opportunities total, with the source noting 'they just give him the ball nonstop.'

Insight page

Cole Kmet

PositiveMatchup22:00

Kmet is in 'the best situation possible' against Cincinnati, though the source notes uncertainty about whether he needs additional offensive weapons in front of him.

Insight page

Dalton Schultz

NegativeRole21:48

Schultz mentioned among tight ends potentially on the way back from injury in week one, grouped with Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, and Britain Strange.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveRole23:18

Adams is classified as an 'auto start' for his draft position in this matchup, indicating he should be started regardless of circumstances.

Insight page
PositiveProjection27:24

The source expects Devante Adams to obviously be started in Week 1 against the 49ers, who ranked 26th against wide receivers last year.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveSleeper29:32

Late-round receiver the source wants to see in week one, mentioned as part of a group of undrafted or late-round rookies the source is monitoring.

Insight page

George Holani

NegativeRole1:48

Mike Wright has George Helani on his roster and is monitoring his performance before deciding whether to cut him; the source notes Helani as someone Wright 'finds' that 'nobody' else seems to target, suggesting a speculative hold on a low-profile player.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeRole21:27

The source expects all but guaranteed limited snaps for Kittle in week one; speaker states 'there's just no way he's playing full snap' and 'I'm pretty much not playing George Kittle' due to snap competition, preferring TJ Hawkinson over him in this matchup.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeRole21:48

Likely mentioned among tight ends potentially on the way back from injury in week one, grouped with Mark Andrews, Dalton Schultz, and Britain Strange.

Insight page
NegativeDepth Chart32:30

Isaiah Likely is gone from the Ravens, removing a secondary receiving option that had competed for targets with Mark Andrews. Last year Likely missed three games but managed to accumulate 307 receiving yards, indicating he was a meaningful part of the Ravens' passing game despite limited availability.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeUsage30:57

Packers running back whose fantasy value could be impacted if goal line carries are given to George Shalami; source identifies the Packers backfield as one to watch heading into the season.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

NegativeProjection15:48

The source references Jalen Hurts as 'older' in the context of discussing the Eagles' potential decline, suggesting age-related concerns about his performance heading into the season.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveRole27:48

Warren is a second-round pick in his year-two season who is absurdly athletic and had plays last year; the source positions him as a player where early-season involvement will be immediately clear and predictive of full-season role.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeInjury44:35

The source expresses ongoing uncertainty about Jonathan Brooks due to general soreness concerns; Brooks has not yet escaped the general soreness issue, creating hesitation about his readiness and reliability heading into the season.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeRole21:48

Andrews mentioned among tight ends potentially on the way back from injury, grouped with Isaiah Likely, Dalton Schultz, and Britain Strange as options in week one.

Insight page
NegativeProjection31:12

Tight end receiving criticism from listeners for perceived disrespect in draft rankings or projections; source acknowledges the disrespect concern, suggesting Andrews' draft value or expectations may be lower than warranted based on his past performance.

Insight page
PositiveValue31:36

The source argues Mark Andrews is undervalued and disrespected heading into the season. At 31 years old, Andrews is younger than Travis Kelsey (36) and has historical precedent for tight ends performing well in their thirties, especially touchdown-dependent players. The Ravens extended him, Isaiah Likely (who siphoned 307 receiving yards last year while missing three games) is gone, and Andrews remains a high-upside touchdown machine for Lamar Jackson. The source drafted him in multiple leagues despite his disappointing recent production, viewing him as a contrarian value play.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

PositiveMatchup24:00

In a deeper league decision between Stafford and Brock Purdy, source would take Stafford over Purdy in this matchup against the 49ers.

Insight page
NegativeProjection27:24

The source considers Stafford a fine enough start in Week 1 against the 49ers defense, which ranked 24th against quarterbacks last year; the Rams offense averaged 30 points per game last season, the best in football.

Insight page

Mike Evans

PositiveRole23:28

Evans is classified as an 'almost certainly going to start' player if healthy, with touchdown upside in a game with an over/under of 48.5 points.

Insight page

Pat Bryant

NegativeValue2:10

Pat Bryant was available on waivers in the hosts' league but was not picked up by one host, who instead chose Devon Vele; this suggests Bryant was passed over in favor of Vele for week 1 fantasy purposes.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper29:14

Late-round rookie mentioned alongside Terrence Ferguson and Tavian Wicks as a late-round fantasy pick the source is looking forward to watching in week one.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeRole12:03

Andy Reid indicated Patrick Mahomes has a good chance to start week one for the Chiefs; however, the source notes concern about his protection given the Chiefs' left tackle is unavailable and will be replaced by an undrafted rookie free agent protecting Mahomes off an ACL injury, facing the Broncos' front.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveRole23:18

Nacua is listed as an 'auto start' in this game, indicating she should be started regardless of circumstances.

Insight page
PositiveProjection27:24

The source expects Puka Nacua to obviously be started in Week 1 against the 49ers, who ranked 26th against wide receivers last year.

Insight page

Stetson Bennett

NegativeRole28:00

The source expects three Parkinson touchdowns from Bennett in Week 1, suggesting limited passing volume or a run-heavy game script for the Rams.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveValue43:29

In a direct comparison question between Tee Higgins and George Salami, the source selects Higgins, indicating preference for Higgins' value or upside in the current context.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveBreakout17:39

Year two tight end, second round pick with 93rd percentile athleticism score. Source notes athleticism is far more important at tight end than any other position and that very athletic tight ends often take four to five or six years to develop; Ferguson fits the mold of a player who could have a breakout year despite not breaking out as a rookie, with the source explicitly stating 'at the end of the year you're like, man, what a breakout for Terrence Ferguson.'

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeRole45:22

After being worried about Travis Etienne Jr. throughout the offseason due to Alvin Kamara's involvement in the passing game and role as the passing-downs back, the source has become bullish on Etienne's upside now that Kamara is out of the way and other backups are injured. The source is bullish on the upside of Kellen Moore's offense for the Saints and believes Etienne is better than where he's going in drafts; he's a late riser for the source after being skeptical all offseason.

Insight page

Tutu Atwell

NegativeRole27:36

The source recommends watching Atwell in Week 1 to determine if he is really involved in the Rams offense; he is positioned as a late-round or second-to-last-round pick in deeper leagues to evaluate early-season usage.

Insight page

Tyler Higbee

NegativeRole27:36

The source recommends watching Higbee in Week 1 to determine if he is really involved in the Rams offense; he is positioned as a late-round or second-to-last-round pick in deeper leagues to evaluate early-season usage.

0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
0:05Welcome in! Hey! It's football time! It's here baby!
0:08We did it, world. What a journey it's been.
0:11Eat my butt, Summer. It's time for football! It's time for football.
0:15Get the temp down! Yeah, no, it was not a bad morning out here.
0:19Clouds were out, which in Arizona, that's a great thing.
0:22It covers the big fireball. The most important thing here.
0:25Jason has a golf rule where basically if clouds equal golf.
0:29Yes. If no cloud equal no golf. Correct. And it's a great rule.
0:33It's an important one. But here we are! I mean, that has to be...
0:37I mean, Kyle the Borgogan the historian, but that has to be the first Wednesday.
0:42It's football time, right? There has been a game on Wednesday before.
0:46I don't know if we football timed that day.
0:49Yeah, we've definitely played a Wednesday. We own... I think we might own Wednesday Night Football.
0:54I think we did at one point, but it's expired.
0:57But I mean, that... It is here. It is football time, guys.
1:01We did it. We got here. The games count.
1:04Thank goodness. The fantasy points, they matter. Do you guys have big plans for the game?
1:09I actually do. All right. I do. I have to watch on my phone.
1:13Oh, no! Freshman football is Wednesday nights. Oh, no.
1:16Yeah. So your boy has a game? What a loser.
1:19But at least you can do it. Oh, yeah.
1:22It will be... I mean, that's... It will be perfectly fine.
1:26You won't see your son, but... You'll be there.
1:28Well, I have priorities. Like, I'm there, and he'll look up and be like, Hey, Dad!
1:33I'll be like, yeah, son. You probably had a good play right there.
1:38Yeah, I don't know. I'm not bad. Oh, my gosh.
1:41Well, look, it's gonna be so much fun. New England, Seattle.
1:44Like, oh, my God! Helani scored again! Tomorrow is football time, too.
1:48Oh, my gosh. I mean, I'm rooting for it, because I would just love to come in tomorrow, and you are George Helani.
1:55George Helani is so perfect for Mike. He finds these people that nobody...
1:59No, I'm not in. I'm not. He's just on my roster.
2:03Did you cut him yet? What? Did you cut him yet?
2:06No. He's gotta see what happens. Did you see who I picked up this morning in our League of Records?
2:13I didn't. Wait, you made a waiver move? Yeah, we got a...
2:17So did you. Yes. Mr. Devon Vele. Yeah, baby!
2:19Your team is living large. How in the world did you pick up Devon Vele when my guy was sitting there?
2:26Uh, which one? What, Pat Bryant? Pat Bryant. Because I will legitimately be playing Devon Vele this week.
2:32Oh, oh, oh, oh. Congratulations to you. Um, so much going on.
2:36We have Super Bowl picks on the show today.
2:38NFL news to talk about. Plug them in. We're good.
2:42The final Megaloball draft. I don't even know if this is gonna come out.
2:46It'll probably come out like an hour before maybe the last draft.
2:50So you might be able to rush over there and get in there.
2:54Uh, Megaloball.com. If not, I just want to say how excited we are to play with 25,000 Foot Clan members in the Megaloball.
3:01Uh, it is the in-season mode. It is the time of year where you switch from that UDK app over to the Fantasy Footballers in-season app.
3:10So we have two different apps. One's the draft kit and one is the in-season which has all of the, uh, all of our rankings in it.
3:18And you'll find the podcast stuff listed in there.
3:21You'll find our ultimate dashboard. Ooh. All the tools and resources.
3:24We don't really do anything that's not ultimate. We have done quite a few ultimate things.
3:29Yeah. Which, um, you know, I'm, might I say we do them well.
3:34That's what I'm saying. That's what Jason would say.
3:36We've named it appropriately. Um, but you know. Yeah.
3:39The articles. Thank you, Brooksy. All the articles are in there as well.
3:43Yeah. Which our writing staff is amazing. Yes. And we have new stuff coming out every week.
3:49If you still know how to read, that is how you do that.
3:53Um, you can't like swipe an article really fast, like a reel, but you can read them and they're fun and they're, uh, well researched.
4:01We have bonus episodes every single week, answering your questions.
4:04That's part of the foot clan as well. And all of that at join the foot.com.
4:09If you want to get in there and get access and then tons of free resources on the website, the fantasy footballers.com.
4:16I should remind you, I know this is the time of reminders, but Sunday morning every week, we have Sunday live.
4:23And so an hour before kickoff, most often it's Mike.
4:26Occasionally Jason and I pop in, but Mike is live with Sunday live answering last minute questions.
4:31Things change, whether injuries, inactives, all that stuff's happening.
4:34And Mike tilts live on YouTube completely free. It's the best youtube.com slash the fantasy footballer starting this week.
4:40Subscribe over there. Click the bell. It'll let you know when Mike is here, uh, with one of the producers, which guy, which producer this week?
4:48It'll be me. It'll be Al Borland. Yes, sir.
4:51And so he'll feed in all of your questions and that's going to be a blast as well.
4:57There's just so much going on. How are you doing, Jason?
5:00I'm doing pretty well. Um, I'm, I've overcome caring about golf.
5:04So my spirit is good. You know what I mean?
5:07Yeah. For you, man. This morning, there are two ways to fix the problem.
5:12That's probably way. Number one was to get better.
5:14Improve a golf. I tried. Number two though, was to accept, except.
5:18And I've gotten to that point today. Like you've been having fun.
5:22I happen. And what's funny is owl and I can't, I mean, it hasn't gotten my owl this morning played horrific.
5:29He played as bad as he's played in, in forever.
5:32I will say, and I don't, without overstating it, just to be fair to how it was the worst I've ever seen.
5:39Yeah. Him play in like. And so he really did not have any fun.
5:43He couldn't, he just couldn't have a good time.
5:46It was terrible. I don't even know what happened.
5:49Cause I want the audience to know how, how is generally like the best golfer out there.
5:54He's been playing very well compared to us. And we basically tied today.
5:58And so he realized you beat me by two strokes.
6:02Yeah. Thanks for sugarcoating it. But you realized how bad I am today.
6:06You're like, Oh, I did. I was like, you play this bad all the time.
6:10This feels awful. Yeah. So I've just decided that I care.
6:14So I'm doing well. Quick question of the day.
6:17Here we go. Who are your Superbowl picks for 2026?
6:20It's the day of kickoff. Oh, wow. I didn't see your guys' answers.
6:24Uh, I am going to start us off here and I'm going to do it again because it's got to happen eventually.
6:31I keep trying to get them there. I'm taking the Buffalo bills over the Detroit lions in the Superbowl.
6:37That's a plus 6,300. Yes. Um, so there you go.
6:40I, I mean, I, I love the Rams. I, I obviously there are a handful of teams in the AFC that I
6:47think could be competing there, but I'm going to, I'm going to do it.
6:52I'm going bills. That's yeah. That's plus 6,300. Not for the bills to win.
6:56No, no, no. For that matchup. Just for that exact matchup.
7:00Um, but I'm, I'm taking the bills over the lines.
7:03I will jump in. I have kind of been saying the, I I'm feeling the bangles the whole off season.
7:09I'm going to stick with it. And I'm calling for the rematch.
7:13We get the bangles. We get the Rams. We get it again, except this time it will be Joseph.
7:19Oh, over the Rams rematch. Yes. Um, you know, it's funny preseason, especially, you know, the, the, the game is at SoFi stadium this year.
7:27And I thought that this is another legitimate chance for an LA versus LA in LA game.
7:32Uh, I could, I could see that happening. Chargers Rams, the LA, the LA chargers.
7:37You're like, you're like, they can make it to the super bowl.
7:41Yeah. Jason. What? You don't wait. I'm so confused.
7:44Why? Why do you think that? I'm a little confused too.
7:47I'm not sure where the angle of the joke was.
7:50Are you just mocking the chargers? Yes. They're the seventh highest odds.
7:54That's not, that's not outrageous, but I am actually, I came in and I wrote down mine.
8:00I had to look at your guys. I am Andy lions over bills.
8:04No, you're not. Yeah. That's right. Yeah. So I, uh, we're in the same.
8:08We're in the same. That would be so fun.
8:11If we got there and we could, um, I would be happy with either one way to be clear.
8:17I would not care. That would be a very fun super bowl.
8:21I am curious if our producers have any, uh, is it what Packers saints over there?
8:26Packers versus whoever. Okay. Cool. Cool. They'll win who that baby.
8:29Okay. So Tyler Shuck in the super bowl. I was talking to Jason yesterday.
8:34I was looking at the NFC and it's like, man, I feel like there are very few teams this year from the
8:41NFC compared to the AFC where you're like, I feel like they can really make, let me, I'm going to say something again.
8:48You can practically hit a button that says you don't have to do this.
8:52Yes. Okay. My let's all say a dark horse.
8:55Oh, I'll give you a moment to think about it.
8:58I gave you the Bengals. Sure. I, I, okay.
9:01Whatever. You don't have to say dark horse, whatever you want to describe.
9:05I do think that the Dallas Cowboys will be very good this year.
9:10I, I think Caleb down and that defense will be, I think they will be good.
9:15I think they actually are. When you said the NFC, when I think of contenders, uh, you know, everybody in the West minus the Cardinals.
9:23Yeah. Um, almost everybody in, I mean, the Packers are a good team.
9:27The Lions are a good team. The Eagles and the Cowboys.
9:30I mean, those are kind of like the leaders of the pack.
9:34Nobody from the South to me looks like a Superbowl contender.
9:37Uh, but I mean, here we are, we're going to, we're going to look dumb in like six weeks when Carolina six
9:44and oh, and Bryce Young's throwing for 400 a game, right?
9:48Jay. Uh, yeah, we will. I mean, that would be awesome.
9:51The whole world would look dumb. We, Bryce Young, please throw for more than 200.
9:56200 yards more than four times this year. That's all.
9:59I'm very low bar, but please do it. There, there are too many weapons on your team that we like for fantasy that you are ruining.
10:08Uh, my dark horse team. I don't know how dark horse it is.
10:12They've been there a couple of times in the last few years.
10:15Oh, that is a, that's a right. That's like a light horse, a light horse.
10:20But I, I, I think that the, cause right now it's like from the NFC, it's the Rams.
10:26Like the Rams are, it seems so favored right now to come out of the West and it makes sense.
10:32They are the highest odds to win. Yeah. Yeah.
10:35Of NFC. Plus 500. But I bet that the Rams are going to win is only plus 500.
10:41That's wild. I, I think that people are just to get there.
10:45Yeah. Those are winning. Wow. Um, that's what I'm saying.
10:48Like goodness. The Eagles to me are a team that I think people are ready for the end of the Eagles.
10:54AJ Brown is gone. Hertz is older. The tush push wasn't, you know, as successful last year.
11:00Kelsey's gone. And it's like, uh, we're, we're just waiting for the collapse.
11:04And I think that there is a, uh, a world where they have a bounce back and they look great this year.
11:11The defense is awesome. Manion fixes the Pato problem from last year.
11:15Um, so that they're more my dark horse, but obviously they're not like, you know, some bad team that is that I'm calling a shot on.
11:23All right. There you have it. Let's, uh, let's see yours in the comments.
11:27We'll see what happens in week one. Let's get into the news.
11:31News and notes from around the league. Uh, I think we mentioned that Trayvon was ruled out yesterday, didn't we?
11:38Yes, we did. Yeah. Uh, Aaron Donald will not travel.
11:41We'll not be playing in week one for the Rams.
11:44They're going to let them ramp up. Andy Reed said that ramp up.
11:48Nice. Oh gosh. Nice. You did it. Are you sure they're not just being like protecting him that he didn't get his passport in time?
11:56Hmm. Yeah. We've been there. He would have had to go to Tucson.
12:00Look, it turns out. Andy Reed said a good chance.
12:03Patrick Mahomes starts week one. I would say a great chance.
12:07I'd say a guarantee, but that's the way he's framing it right now.
12:11Well, with their left tackle, um, not being, uh, available.
12:14And so they're starting left tackle, uh, is going to be an undrafted rookie free agent protecting my homes off of an ACL.
12:21It's like against the Broncos front. Let's, uh, let's send Ken bone to the, to the right.
12:27Yes. He will get tackled from behind. All right.
12:30Uh, Baker Mayfield guys. Yeah. Good for you, Baker.
12:32You let the team know you were disappointed and they, they figured it out.
12:37Three year, $165 million dollar deal, 55 million per year.
12:40And I'm glad that this, uh, I'm glad that for us.
12:43Glad this got done because it seemed like a month, whatever it was a month, two months ago.
12:49He said he wasn't going to negotiate anymore. Yeah.
12:52And they must've slinked back to him saying, please.
12:55He had the most honest podium conversation with people of like how disappointed he was.
13:00It was very refreshing. Yes. And it was so genuine.
13:03And I, I don't think he said anything that was out of line at all.
13:08And then there was the reports that the Buccaneers were very upset with him for, you know, airing, it's not even dirty laundry.
13:15It's just like airing the laundry out to dry, you know, that's clean.
13:19Yeah. And it's very clean, but, uh, it was, it was truthful.
13:23And I thought that there was going to be some bad blood there and he'd hit the open market.
13:29Part of me as a Cardinals fan was hopeful for that, but, um, this is good for Baker.
13:34Yeah. Yeah. I don't think we have anything else to talk about right now.
13:39The starts it tool is on the website. If you guys have those questions without further ado, let's do it.
13:45Thursday night breakdown. Mike, we want you to preview the whole game in an Australian accent.
13:50Crikey. I'm living in a lamb down under. He'll just sing.
13:54Yeah. Uh, the San Francisco 49ers travel to Australia to play a team that also traveled to Australia.
14:00It's, uh, Melbourne, but they have taken two very different strategies.
14:03I don't know. Have you guys been locked into this?
14:06Well, the 49ers went early, didn't they? Yes. They are the 49ers and Kyle Shannon has no idea which day is what and very confused in the past.
14:15And I haven't read through it, but people have said like the actual science of it is they say go a week early like the 49ers did.
14:24So you're fully acclimated or go last minute. You go last second and then you, and you're, so you don't have the
14:31weird, your body doesn't know what's going on. You still have your schedule and you, and you play the game to get out of there.
14:39Uh, the Rams have been getting absolutely crushed for going with that strategy online.
14:43So I'm excited to see how that works out.
14:46Yeah. The Rams are technically considered the home team in this one.
14:50So they lose a home game this year. Uh, the Vegas line Rams minus three and a half.
14:55The over-under is 48 and a half. We just did our little like weekly picks pool in the office that we do.
15:02And I took the 49ers. I don't, I don't blame you.
15:06I mean, having no Aaron Donald, I know that they've there, there's been a lot of mispractice from miles Garrett.
15:12This they've been without Aaron Donald for a little bit.
15:15Well, sure. But I mean, I'm saying where, where the line was set, assuming that you would have them after he signed,
15:22um, miles Garrett, we expect to play, but he has, he has missed a lot of practices.
15:28Maybe that's just veteran rest. And you also have the fact that like usually Kyle Shanahan, I think Sean McVay is a better coach than Kyle Shanahan.
15:36But when these two match up together, Shanahan usually has McVay's number.
15:40I mean, I think either team can win this game.
15:43I, it was just relative to that three and a half line.
15:47And I was just really like, okay, this game will probably be good.
15:51They are often very good. This is the oldest venue ever to host an NFL game.
15:56That's I mean, is that, is it better to be near a substation or to play on the oldest in the oldest venue?
16:03I mean, why do I, I'm going to interpret that as all of the earth is also old.
16:09Oh, it's not just the stadium. They also have the oldest grass with the oldest rocks.
16:14You know what I mean? Oh yeah. We haven't seen it since 1832.
16:18You've got it. It's going to be real tough on the ankles, but, um, so we are, yeah, yeah, we are, we
16:25are, uh, technically talking about a Thursday night football game.
16:28We're talking about it on a Wednesday and the game technically takes place on a Friday because it's in Australia and it's Friday in Australia.
16:36Just so you know, I don't accept. And I don't believe we own Wednesday, Thursday, Friday football.com.
16:42Uh, someone get on it. So, uh, week one, give a little overview of your perspective on how you, cause these, this
16:49is the hardest week to preview games. We have no information about all the head new, you know, the new coaches, the
16:56utilization of certain players on the depth chart a lot.
16:59We learn a lot after week one on how teams are going to approach just rotations and things like that.
17:05So how do you think about these previews compared to the rest of the year?
17:10Uh, you know, that's what it is. It's, this is what I'm looking for in the, and this game is exciting.
17:17Like there is truly some games you'll go, I'm watching this singular player.
17:21And then I don't really care. This one is absolutely fascinating.
17:24So much to see. You've got Deshaun Stribling. Yes.
17:27Deshaun Stribling, who, uh, will he play 75 plus?
17:30Is he a full starter? That's the most important thing to me.
17:34It's not even how he does. Is he a, is he a full-time starter in week one?
17:39I'm watching Terrence Ferguson to see, is he the third pass catcher?
17:43Is he playing a large enough percentage of snaps to matter?
17:46I've got him in tons of leagues as my last pick.
17:50So I'm ready to kick him to the waiver wire after week one or victory lap, you know, a great last round pick.
17:57Uh, you've got the Blake Corum, Kyron Williams split.
18:00Like, how's that going to go? Does Devante Adams still have it?
18:04Or is he look sluggish and old? It's the both, it's both 33 year olds playing each other in week one.
18:11Oh, you've got Mike Evans. Yeah. Does his meat work?
18:14You know? So all sorts of, there's a meat check.
18:17Yeah. It's a meat check. What did he say?
18:20Hey, did that get amped up? That sounds pretty good.
18:23We fixed it. There's so much. Yeah. There, there are a ton of questions.
18:27You know, there's, there's part of me, like you can, you can see a lot of scenarios taking place.
18:33I could see a world where Kyron dominates the snaps and we all roll our eyes into the back of our head
18:40because we made a big deal of Blake Corum again.
18:43I can see a world where Mike Evans comes out and dominates after all of this, like, cause he came out to
18:50the podium for those that don't know and said, look, all this stuff I was dealing with in camp.
18:56He's like, none of this would have kept me off the field.
19:00We're taking it easy. I'm an older player. You know, none of this was significant enough to where I would have missed a week of football.
19:09So in his mind, he's completely healthy going into the year.
19:12He said they did a good job taking care of me.
19:16I wouldn't have missed any time. So I could see a world where Mike Evans goes out and it's two touchdowns and
19:22we're all going, oh yeah, that's the world where you liked in the beginning of the off season.
19:28Absolutely. I mean, I, I still to this moment think that if any single game that Mike Evans is healthy this year, he's going to be good.
19:37Uh, you know, he, he's such a perfect matchup for, for this.
19:41And then speaking of health, George Kittle. Yes. How many snaps does he play?
19:45Do you start him again with the, with the information that we have at this moment, I would prefer to probably not start George Kittle.
19:53Like I would rather start a Jawan Johnson and he's basically available in almost every league.
19:58Uh, you know, Isaiah likely I'd play more over, over Kittle in week one.
20:02John Johnson, Dallas Goddard. I mean, there are, uh, there's plenty of options that are probably like, oh, let's do this.
20:09I'm going to literally look at our league of record, which, uh, we just drafted.
20:14I'm going to look at the waiver wire at the tight end position.
20:18And you tell me if you'd start them over George Kittle in week one, you ready?
20:23I am ready. Uh, Dallas Goddard. Yes. Okay. Hunter Henry.
20:26Yes. Ah, Seattle. Hmm. That's where they are weakest.
20:29Um, he's the inner dialogue coming out. No, no.
20:32I feel like we still do need more info.
20:35Okay. I want to hear the Dalton Schultz. Yeah.
20:38Don't against the Bill. Don Schultz is going to be.
20:41He should be okay. The, the, thank you. Boo.
20:44No, I love it. I actually like it. I hated it.
20:47I'm saying he's going to be the, the nastiest, most disgusting, reliable PPR tight end.
20:52Cause he's just going to, like, he won't do anything with the catches, but if you're in a PPR.
20:58Brenton strange. Ah, that one's interesting. Um, I, I needed to hear the, we're going to play George in the red zone.
21:05I don't think you're going to get to hear that.
21:08Let's say you don't, let's say you make the decision right now, Mike.
21:12Yeah. I mean the game's tomorrow. Yeah. I mean, that's what I, yeah, but I would, I would take these decisions until tomorrow.
21:19I'm not saying that you might not get more information, but you probably won't.
21:24Would you start Dulcich or Kittle? I'd start Kittle.
21:27Yeah. I mean, I think that there's a, I think there's an all but guaranteed limited snaps for George Kittle.
21:33Yeah. I mean, there's just no way he's playing full snap.
21:37I'm not, I'm pretty much not playing George Kittle.
21:39There's just too many people. I, I think I would play TJ Hawkinson over George Kittle.
21:44That was the last name. Yeah. I mean, but when I'm looking at this, it's like guys that are potentially on the
21:51way with Mark Andrews, uh, Isaiah likely Dalton Schultz, Britain strange Hawkinson.
21:55Those are, you know, Kate Otten against Cincinnati. You just, one of these guys is healthy.
22:00Oh dude, Kate Otten's in like the best situation possible, but I don't, I don't know if he needs people out in front of him.
22:08Uh, let's take a quick break and come back and talk more about this game.
22:13All right. Um, back into the matchup. I don't know if I mentioned the over under if I didn't, it is 48
22:20and a half in this game, which, uh, it starts at eight 35 Eastern.
22:24We do have a from Australia. We do have a re a, a quote circulating from George Kittle.
22:30Oh, from nine ish hours ago or something. He's trustworthy source.
22:34Uh, it's from George Kittle. Uh, and you know, poking fun.
22:37Remember when, uh, Shanahan had his little miss. Speak, uh, when he was talking about guys returning from injuries and he's like,
22:44he, but he went with the phrase of George Kittle took a step back and everyone's like, Oh yeah, what George Kittle.
22:51George Kittle. That's helpful. I mean, uh, I agree with you guys, uh, especially in week one.
22:56It's a lot of risk to take on, but man, the betting against George Kittle.
23:01I mean, I didn't just need a touchdown. Just one touchdown.
23:05But the Rams are also a good defense. Yeah.
23:07This is, this is a really good defense for the Rams.
23:11They've added pieces from last year. Uh, you know, you, we still haven't even seen the Rams with miles Garrett.
23:17This, this is going to be a very good defense.
23:20Brock Purdy in three starts versus the Rams averaging 213 passing yards.
23:24I, I, I'm not really, really excited about the 49ers pass catchers in general receivers for this specific matchup.
23:30Yeah. Obviously the, the auto starts in this game.
23:33CMC is, is there. Puka is there. Um, how's this Devante Adams is, I think an auto start for where you drafted him.
23:40And then probably Mike Evans in that category. Yeah.
23:43Mike Evans is, I, I think he's in that category.
23:46If he's healthy, you've got to play him. Touchdown upside is there, um, with a, an over under of 48 and a half.
23:54You, you know that the both teams are going to score.
23:57It might be tough sledding. Um, but yeah, I would, I would put him in the almost certainly going to start category.
24:04The last two games for Christian McCaffrey against the Rams, two and a half yards per carry.
24:10Don't care, but 53 opportunities. They just give him the ball nonstop.
24:13If you were deciding on, uh, like, uh, you know, you're in a deeper league, you have Matthew Stafford, the MVP, and
24:20you had to decide him or Purdy in this game.
24:24Or, or Matthew Stafford or Jackson dart in his first matchup.
24:27Uh, I would, I would go dart Stafford Purdy.
24:30I would take Stafford over Purdy in this matchup.
24:33The, the 49ers have like always, they've lost a lot of pieces in the off season.
24:38They just recently lost, uh, Alfred Collins or defensive tackle toward his patella tendon.
24:42Um, what yesterday day before yesterday, something like that.
24:45Uh, they are always getting hurt. Yeah. But I mean, that was a, uh, that's a decent loss on the defensive side.
24:52And last year, just for the record, uh, dealt with injuries, obviously.
24:56Oh, and, um, this has been a bad day for this guy.
25:00That was a, you, you really scold that one.
25:03Yeah. The podcast. The audio listeners have no idea what I'm talking about.
25:07Yeah. He tried. Al tried to drop a little substation drop on us, but it went as well as his four iron
25:14and he, and he freaking scold it and nothing happened.
25:17We got the lighting effects. Oh man. There's it's been a long month.
25:21I will say it is. Yeah. He doesn't get to fix it now month.
25:25Oh, he wasn't. Was he going to fix it?
25:28Of course you would try. Oh yeah. It's been a long month.
25:32I I'm looking over here and Papa Josh is barely alive.
25:35Yeah. He's been dealing with customer service. Papa Josh.
25:38I want the people to know like August, no matter what we do, no matter how perfect our systems are, we have
25:45a tremendous amount of support requests that come in.
25:48And people that need to find, you know, get stuff fixed.
25:52It happens. We have a lot of subscribers on the foot clan and we don't have a hundred employees.
25:58No, we have that guy over there who, according to what I saw has responded to people in 48 minutes on average
26:05in the entire month of August, no matter what time of day, the freaking thing comes in.
26:10It's incredible. Which I mean, that's why he looks like that.
26:14Right. He's not casket face for no reason. You've put him in the casket support request.
26:19August is the casket. Yes. Yeah. But I mean, it's, uh, it's been a month, but that's what football is.
26:25Put that, put that to the test. Send some Josh, some emails at like 1230 in the morning.
26:31What are you doing? I'm filling his inbox. Oh my gosh.
26:34Why don't you hit that drop again? Yeah. I can't.
26:37I can't. All right. Um, I was going somewhere with something.
26:41I was going to ask a question. Um, but I, I don't remember where we were.
26:46Oh yeah. I was going to tell you that the 49ers defense last year, 24th against quarterbacks, 22nd against running backs, 26
26:53against wideouts, 26 against tight ends, a great matchup for opposing offenses.
26:57Again, the, the, this was the best offense in football at 30 points a game last year in the Rams.
27:03So matchup wise, what you were saying about the offensive pieces for the 49ers, it doesn't matter where the game's at.
27:10It's just a better defense for the Rams. Yeah.
27:12I, I, I've got the Ram. I took the Rams on the, the pick them, but, uh, I, there's not a lot of Rams.
27:20I don't want to start. I think Stafford is a fine enough start.
27:24You're going to start Kyron Puka, obviously in Devante Adams.
27:27So you're, you're good to go. And then you get to watch Coram and Ferguson to see, are either of them really, really involved from week one.
27:36Yeah. I mean, Ferguson has been, despite the fact that I don't, I'm not on the hype train, but he fits the
27:43mold of like, he's been a last round, second to last round pick for me in a bunch of deeper leagues just
27:50to see what week one looks like. Just to find out all it is.
27:54Cause it's a perfect, it's the perfect type of player where you'll know he is either.
27:59It's not, I don't think it's going to change.
28:02He's healthy. He's been, I'm fully expecting three Parkinson touchdowns for sure.
28:06Could be, but Ferguson is year two for him.
28:09If you're not familiar, year two, second round pick, absurdly athletic.
28:12Like had plays last year. It, yes. A few.
28:15He, he fits the mold of a player where you will be at the end of the year and you're like, man, what a breakout for Terrence Ferguson.
28:24Yeah. 93rd percentile in his athleticism score. He's, he's a beast.
28:28Which is very important at the, it's far more important to be athletic as a tight end than any other position.
28:34And we've seen very athletic tight ends take four or five, six years to become sure.
28:39Like as in like, just cause he didn't have a breakout rookie season.
28:43That's not the norm. Just cause we've gotten some rookies that have performed.
28:48So he could definitely have a breakout. Um, you guys want to do some mailbag?
28:52Let's go. Mailbag. Mailbag. Mailbag. Presented by Paramount Plus.
28:55Well, our first mailbag episode of the year. We've got your questions.
28:59We've got week one on the docket. And if you want to send them into us in future weeks, you can go to the website, the fantasy footballers.com.
29:08Click that submit a question button or dial our voicemail hotline three zero two four six four TFFB.
29:14And, uh, if you have questions that you don't hear on the show, we also do a mailbag episode every week for
29:21the foot clan at join the foot.com where we answer questions on a bonus episode.
29:25All right. Um, Instagram question. Who is the late round fantasy pick that you're looking most forward to watching in week one?
29:32It's funny. Cause I just mentioned Terrence Ferguson. That is my, I mean, Pat Bryant's in that list on Tavian Wicks is in that list.
29:40Uh, all the rookies that you get late in the draft.
29:44I mean, you know who I was shocked like is not being drafted anywhere in any circumstance.
29:49Antonio Williams. Like there hasn't been. Yeah. Ever since I know digs arrived, but it's like there are with the, from the top rope conception.
29:57I want to see him in week one. Denzel Boston.
30:00Yeah. Uh, what are some answers for you guys or players that you've taken late, late, late in draft?
30:06I see George Helani. You want to say, okay.
30:09George Shalani. That makes sense. Who said that? I want to see.
30:13That's what I'm calling him from now on. Cause it makes me feel better.
30:17What did he say? George Shalani is not bad.
30:20George Shalani. Oh yeah. We got our first one boys.
30:23Oh, I'm sure you hear it yourself. The producers like it.
30:27George. I don't think anybody likes it. I love it.
30:30There's just so much meat talk. Yeah. George. George Shalani.
30:33Okay. Um, yeah, I'm, I'm curious, you know, we want to see how the, it's not George's.
30:38Yeah. George. Yeah. All right. George. But the, the fact that it's an S it's no, it's fine to start the next word makes it feel George Shalami.
30:47It's a great. It's not George Shalami. Oh, that's not what it is.
30:51Whoa. That's what you said. Okay. It's, we're going to have to workshop this a bit.
30:57If they give goal line carries to George Shalami, it could impact Jadarian price.
31:01Yes. The, the Packers. I'm so happy right now.
31:04I'm so happy. The Packers backfield, uh, is one to watch and see how that goes.
31:09Yes. That's not really a late round unless you're talking about.
31:12Yeah. Chris Brooks. Of course. Oh, okay. Not, uh, not Caleb Johnson.
31:16He who shall not be named. Um, there you go.
31:19There's some names. Uh, what is up? Uh, Curtis writing in on Instagram.
31:23What is up with the Mark Andrews disrespect? Uh, I, I kind of agree with him.
31:29I do think saying like, why did Mark Andrews disrespect everyone, all of us so much last year?
31:34Is that what we're talking about? Here's here. No, I, I agree with this.
31:39I really do. I mean, I, I drafted Mark Andrews in our league of record.
31:43He's my tight end going forward in two different, uh, of like my five leagues.
31:48Um, this is a player who is not as old as you think you're going to want to tune in on Tuesday, Jason on waiver day.
31:56Sure. Yes. Um, he's not as old as you, you know, like Travis Kelsey is what?
32:0236. You know, Mark Andrews is 31 years old and he has disappointed the last few years.
32:07Um, are you comparing Mark Andrews to Travis Kelsey?
32:10I mean, there was several years where it was like, those were the two guys you were drafting, right?
32:16Sure. And I'm not saying he's to that degree at all.
32:19He's not a first ballot hall. He's not a hall of famer.
32:23Um, but I, I'm just saying age wise, we have a lot of history of tight ends at 31, 32, 33 being okay.
32:30Whereas you don't have that much running backs, wide receivers.
32:34You're you've got to be a hall of famer to be okay there.
32:38You don't have to be a hall of famer to be Delaney Walker and be okay.
32:43And you're in your thirties at the tight end position, especially if you're a touchdown guy, which is what Mark Andrews has been.
32:50You lose Isaiah likely who's gone. Uh, you get a, you know, a new scheme here.
32:55They paid him an extended Mark Andrews. So it's like, he is completely left for dead.
33:00And it's, if you look at which tight ends around the league have the best chance for 10 touchdowns, right?
33:06Obviously you got the Brock Bowers, but like how far down on the list is Mark Andrews as a touchdown machine for Lamar Jackson.
33:14He's gotta be high up there within the tight end realm.
33:18Uh, I'm, I'm just willing to be wrong. I'm Mark.
33:21Yeah. I get it. I mean, I likely was there last year.
33:25He missed three games and managed to siphon off 307 of the receiving yards.
33:29Like Isaiah likely was not a problem for Mark Andrews who had, we'll have other tight ends at play.
33:35Yes. The actual smite. Yeah. We'll see. I mean, I, I get it.
33:39It was by far Andrews worst year. It just, it just, would you rather play Mark Andrews all year long or Kelsey?
33:46You'd rather play Kelsey, right? Kelsey for sure. Okay.
33:49Jason's thinking about it. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, I, I guess I, I, to push comes to shove.
33:55I had Kelsey in my queue higher. So sure.
33:58I mean, he had, so two years ago when he was scoring nine and a half points per game, he had 69
34:05targets last year, he had 70 targets and he dropped over three fantasy points a game.
34:10Yeah. Well, that was a touchdown. Cause two years ago he had double digit touchdowns.
34:15Right. But three years ago he had six and then, and five year before, I don't know.
34:20I'm just, I mean, his yards per catch. He's had years.
34:24I mean, it's an eight. So, I mean, that, that was a huge part of the problem.
34:29Yeah. And one of his touchdowns, by the way, last year was that like part of his fantasy finish was that a
34:36insane 48 yard fake fourth down run. Do you remember this where he was going to run up the middle and he ran around the edge.
34:44So like that also contributed to his points per game in a way that is like not relative to the, I mean, in a small way.
34:53I mean, I will say, I will definitely say the, the, to answer the question why the disrespect is because it looks on film like he is gone.
35:02Yeah. Like he's a bit slower and you know, I know that Lamar loves to throw him the football.
35:08That that's the one saving grace. It's a little bit like the Kelsey Mahomes, like in the red zone.
35:14I feel like Lamar is still going to look at him if he's on the field.
35:19So Jason's point, a parenting advice question. What is this?
35:22What piece of parenting advice or adage do you give yourself as a fantasy manager before the season?
35:28Do you need to give yourself? This is you talking as a parent to yourself before the season, I can see child within.
35:35I can tell you what never draft George Kittle.
35:38This, this, this year, uh, what I would say to myself is it's going to be okay.
35:43That's it. You know what your parenting advice is it's going to be, you know, what your original plan was.
35:49Yes. And now they're now that the football is here, you're trying to deviate from the plan.
35:55Yeah. I mean, I obviously, uh, you know, I'm going for in, in all my leagues except for one.
36:01Uh, but the league of record is the most important league and, uh, you know, we're, we are right now to win.
36:08It's impossible. Um, what advice do I want to give myself?
36:11Uh, stay the course, be patient. Uh, sure thing.
36:14Super duper team. My, so I posted this on, on Twitter and I just want people to understand like my roster is on paper to start the year.
36:23The best I've ever seen. It's an impossible roster to draft.
36:26You can't, you can't draft it. We have a three keeper league.
36:30I had a ton of picks. The way this roster was assembled was I had three keepers going into the off season.
36:37Like we all do. I got lucky enough to win our, uh, our lottery to get the number one pick, which we,
36:44I got lucky enough to where Jimmy or Gibbs dropped into the draft.
36:48Then you got lucky enough to have the right lottery pick of your keepers.
36:53Correct. Picked. And then you used a lot of capital that you had from last year when you sold to buy.
36:59So if you just want to follow along with my misery, I have only set myself up for probable misery.
37:06Oh, I wouldn't say probable. What's this? This guy.
37:09Shut up. Thank you, Mike. Shut up. Nerd. Shut up.
37:12Nerd. Josh Allen. You've got the number one quarterback.
37:15Josh Allen. The number one running back. Jameer Gibbs.
37:17Devon Achan. Kenneth Walker. So three top 10 running backs.
37:21CD lamb. Amon Ross St. Brown. Okay. Two top five wide receivers.
37:24Devontae Adams and Kyle Pitts. And then last year's number two tight end and Devontae Adams as like your.
37:30Throw away. Yeah. He's a throwaway crappy player. You know that the gif from.
37:35Well, I just mean Mike can't you if you I'm thrilled I and I should be able to win a ton of games and I will.
37:43Yes. I'm just saying this is championship robust. That's all.
37:46Yes. Championship robust with a roster. That's fair. Where everyone in the league presumes I'll win.
37:51Yes. And we and there's so much that's going to go wrong in the season.
37:56I'm just saying you sound like the like Woody Harrelson in Zombieland when he's crying, but then he just wipes his eyes with hundred dollar bills.
38:04Yeah. Yeah, that's fine. Yeah. That's me. I'm so sad.
38:08Look how rich I am. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, no, I'm with you.
38:12It is an impossible roster and I can't wait to find out how I go undefeated.
38:17There you go. There you go. Does that feel better?
38:20We'll take a break. We got some more questions.
38:23Would you drop Anthony wants to know would you drop tank Bigsby or Emmett Johnson to pick up Josh Jacobs?
38:29That is a big yes for me. Yeah, that's a definite.
38:33Yes, I currently expect my current guess I would say is that he plays the second half of the year and when
38:40he does, he'll be very good for fantasy. It would take an injury ahead for the other guys to be relevant.
38:46No, I don't want him on my team. That's fair.
38:49If you want to if you just want to not deal with it.
38:54Obviously, one thing to keep in mind as someone who like part of the reason my League of Record team is toast
39:00is because I kept my lottery game. At the time a guy who was going to play football.
39:06Yeah. And so he can't go into our IR.
39:09So not only do I not have a player for half of a year at best, I don't at best.
39:15I don't have a player for half a year.
39:18Right. But also, I don't have a bench spot because he's burning one up.
39:23So yeah, but I would I would still prefer that to a Bigsby.
39:27When did the court case get moved to? Was it is tomorrow?
39:31September 10th is yes. I think it was September 10th.
39:34Okay, I'll look at it. Are you attending? Yeah.
39:37When I say I'll look at it. I mean, I'm going to watch it live.
39:41You're going to be from the building. Is that true crime?
39:45I someone wants to know. Shay wants to know when why Andy finally admit that deep down he is really a Packers fan.
39:52Well, if you listen long enough and people have asked like outside the Cardinals, who's your favorite team?
39:58I have said the Packers might I had my wife's parents lived in in Green Bay, but also technically in Wisconsin, but then I've been there.
40:06If you listen long enough, you go, man, why do you hate my team?
40:11Oh, I know. Because apparently we hate every we hate every team, which is true.
40:159 a.m. Tomorrow team is the court case time for in our time.
40:19Where you'll be there. Yeah. So I got to I got to get out of here.
40:24I appreciate it. Better upside question from K. End of bench guy, Pat Bryant, who I just added as my end of
40:31bench guy or Rashid Shaheed, who I think is also in that category.
40:36So it's a close one. It's probably Shaheed. Oh, really?
40:39Because I feel more confident in Rashid at the beginning of the season.
40:43Pat Bryant is projection. He's still the wide receiver on the three on the team like the Pat Bryant can't pass Waddle,
40:50you know, like so he has to overtake Courtland Sutton in terms of game planning.
40:55I think it's going to happen, but that's just a I think and Shaheed Shaheed to me has always and will forever until he proves he's worthless.
41:03He's just worth just to just spike weeks. I mean, not that he's not valuable to a team when he catches a 70 yard good player.
41:11That's great. I think he's able to reliably start a player with that, you know, archetype.
41:16Yeah. I mean, I want it to be Pat Bryant.
41:20I think Pat Bryant at least has, you know, some of the buzz and the draft capital and the youth to where it's like, I'm switching.
41:28Pat Bryant. Yeah. Okay. Let's go. So some questions about the buck in the years wide receivers, which I think, I mean, that's a tough place to be.
41:37How confident are you with a Buka with the toe injury?
41:40Nick wants to know. He's back to practice, which is great.
41:44It looks like he's going to be playing week one, which is great.
41:48He did not play well through injury last year.
41:51And I'm my confidence is low that he'll succeed.
41:54That being said, he's probably someone that you have to start based on the matchup based on where you drafted him.
42:00And I am not without hope. I'm hopeful that he has a great week one and, you know, puts everything to bed.
42:07But I, I have fears of the injury. I would, I would say in on my league of record team, man, would I love to start.
42:15I'm not, I'm not worried about the injury very much.
42:19That's great. Mike, where are you at? I'm in, I guess I'm in the middle.
42:23I'm, I am a bit concerned about it. I, okay.
42:26A question from Instagram flex question. Jalen Coker against Chicago, Kenneth Gainwell against Cincinnati.
42:31Hmm. The match, the Bucky Kenneth Gainwell splits are going to be interesting.
42:35Yeah. And we, right now it sounds like Sean Tucker won't be there.
42:39Correct. He hasn't practiced all last week. Didn't practice today.
42:42I'd be surprised if he's, if he's there, which is, so who gets goal line?
42:47Like, does it, do they go back to Bucky?
42:50I think Bucky will get the goal line, but I think the passing work will be Gainwell.
42:55Um, uh, in that matchup where the Bengals could, you know, start off strong score a bunch of points.
43:01I believe I lean the Gainwell side. I, that's tough.
43:05Yeah, it is. I think I lean what's Coker's matchup Chicago.
43:08So it's unless they have figured things out, then like even Bryce young should be able to get close to 200 yards.
43:15Yeah. No, I mean, Oh, you figure both of them probably end up with near the same amount of receptions, but Coker's
43:22should be far more valuable per reception. I'll, I'll switch to Coker there.
43:26Uh, start sick question. Uh, meat Higgins or George Salami?
43:29Meat Higgins. Okay. I just, I just wanted to work that in.
43:33Oh man. Uh, better fantasy decisions. Adam wants to know from Instagram, do you make better fantasy decisions on the toilet or in the shower?
43:41Oh, where have you made, where have you made a better call?
43:45Um, and would you be willing to like go to that place to make the better decision?
43:50I think it's the shower. And yes. Um, I think you don't know the shower.
43:55You don't have the, uh, I feel like on the toilet, you've got the phone, but I don't, you don't have that in the shower.
44:03I don't have my thoughts because I've got my phone when I'm on the toilet.
44:08I'm brain off. I'm brain off. I'm just reading others and seeing other stuff when I'm in the shower.
44:14It's my time to really think through these big issues.
44:17And also if you say, well, you go there specifically just to think, I don't want to just go to the toilet and sit for no reason.
44:25That's how you get hemorrhoids. Um, all right. Instagram question from Braxton.
44:29It's a good topic actually. Platform projection wise. I love my teams, but should I panic?
44:34They're projected solo for week one. No, did we, did you hear the part where I said week one is brutal altogether to know what to expect?
44:43But I understand the psychology. Nobody wants to see it.
44:46You want to see all green and high projections.
44:49Yes, you do. But don't worry about that. Don't worry about the post-draft grades that you're getting on these platforms.
44:55Platforms are great. They do a very important job.
44:58They are not put it this way. At the end of your draft, you're on ESPN, Yahoo, whatever.
45:04If they give you a grade and you get a D or an F, you probably have a great team.
45:10And if you got an A, I'd worry about it.
45:13That's like the historical precedence from, from these platforms.
45:16Their, their job is not to, um, project players.
45:19Well, their job is to, uh, track the scores and, and have functional organization of your leagues.
45:24And they do a great job. Uh, who do you keep going back and forth on?
45:29Ezra wants to know. And I, I think for me, it is the Jonathan Brooks Chuba situation where if I just see
45:36Jonathan Brooks, like look a little bit, has he escaped the general yet?
45:40I think he's still got general soreness on his butt.
45:44Oh man. Yeah. Yeah. You gotta, I mean, I gotta follow orders.
45:47Mine is, mine is, uh, there's general. Oh, general soreness is here in the building.
45:52He looks also generally. See, there's a better one.
45:55There's a one with, uh, Jonathan Brooks himself that you didn't put up there.
45:59Oh, really? You got that one? I don't think I saw that one.
46:04No. It's a shame. Just an off day for you.
46:07I get it. The player that I have found myself going a little back and forth on, um, and really more, I
46:14guess, just fourth, uh, because I was off of this player.
46:17The player I'm going forth on. The player I'm going forth on is Travis H.
46:22Ann Jr., artist formerly known as Travis Etienne. Um, you know, it's like everything's gone well for him.
46:28Right. Paid a ton of money. Paid a ton of money, but I was really, really worried.
46:33Uh, you know, as the off season progressed, it was like Camara is staying a part of this team.
46:39Camara is actively involved in the passing game. Camara will be the passing downs back.
46:44And now Camara is out of the way. Uh, the, some of the other backups are injured and it seems like, you know, H.
46:51Ann Jr.'s got the road to himself. I'm bullish on the upside of this Kellen Moore offense, um, for the saints.
46:58And when we were in a draft, it's a good name to bring up when we were in a draft, uh, yesterday, our, our listener league draft.
47:07I, I just kept, I, I haven't been able to pull the trigger on him.
47:11I've got him in our main dynasty league and I, I didn't want to like double dip, but I was like, I
47:18think he's, he's probably better than where he's going right now.
47:22And that's the first time I've thought that like the whole off season, I'm starting to, he's a late riser for me.
47:29Hmm. Yeah. Any other names that you want to mention?
47:32Anybody you got in mind? No, I think that's good.
47:35All right. It is, uh, it is almost that time.
47:38That was the mailbag presented by Paramount plus Paramount plus is a streaming home to the NFL and CBS all season long.
47:45See you Sunday guys. Yes, sir. Football tonight. Football tomorrow.
47:48Football on Sunday. Football on Monday. Football that's so good time.
47:52Um, and, and even better you George salami tonight.
47:55Um, can't wait. Can't wait. Quick reminder before we close out.
47:58Yes, sir. Look, Sunday is approaching and look, we have rent.
48:02We have free rankings, uh, that you can go utilize right now on the site, but should you want to choose to support and get a membership?
48:10We're going to make things even easier for you.
48:13Want to remind you about the ultimate dashboard. It is the, it's the best tool for managing your league.
48:19We show you the moves we would make based off of our projections.
48:23We show you potential players on your waiver wire who you like it in week one, you know, we, we have, maybe
48:30we have some weaker guys at the end of the bench.
48:34We're like, you know, maybe you want to stash this player.
48:37This seems like a good idea. And then especially waiver day, because we come out with the waiver rankings and it really
48:44makes things just far easier because we're all in, we're all in a few too many, too many, few too many leagues.
48:51We get it. I'm about to draft right now in the, in the middle of the ball.
48:57And then managing your waiver wire. It can be tough to jump all over the place while we have it all in one location.
49:04We can give you the moves that we think that you should make.
49:08Yeah. Spot starts are in there as well. We have, um, you know, league specific spot starts.
49:14So you have opportunities to find guys that you can play week to week and it gets stronger as the season goes on.
49:21We gather more and more data. You know, you need a few weeks to kind of start to strengthen it all up,
49:28but you have team specific news and we sync with every platform.
49:32So that's the way to do it. Uh, I mean, it's not going to help you Andy.
49:37No, my start. I, it's boring. Cause you won't have any.
49:41I don't have starts in decisions. Spot starts. No, this is a tough life I'm living.
49:46You have other leagues. That's true. Let's talk about his dynasty team.
49:50Shall we? That's not. Matthew. He doesn't have to make decisions there either.
49:54It's just the other side. You talking about Matthew Golden and the scrubs?
49:58Is that your new team name? That's my team name.
50:01That's my team name. If I didn't have to have a team name of Mike's butt because I finished last last year
50:08and now my team is Mike's butt for a year.
50:11But anyways, all right. I think that is a good time to stop, but we'll be back tomorrow.
50:17We'll recap the game starts of the week matchup previews.
50:20Watch tonight for George Salami. Yeah. Hey, goodbye. Thank you for listening to another episode of the fantasy footballers podcast.
