0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore and Mike Wright.
0:05Welcome in! The Fantasy Footballers Monday, September 21st. Welcome into the show, Jason Moore, Mike Wright, Andy Holloway.
0:11Wow. Another weekend. Yeah. Didn't quite escape the injuries like we did in the first week.
0:16No. We should have seen it coming after week one.
0:20It always gets you. They, yeah, it'll return to the mean.
0:23And it was very mean. It was very mean.
0:26So much to talk about today. We got Monday Punday.
0:30We got NFL news, studs and duds on the show.
0:33I'm sure we'll have potentially some injury updates even throughout the episode.
0:37But happy to have you with us. The community over there at jointhefoot.com, the ultimate dashboard helping you weave your way through each and every week.
0:45The start, sit decisions. All the premium in-season tools.
0:48I mean, it was a, it was an adventure.
0:51I mean, we were here on Sunday morning watching the rain, watching the fiery heat.
0:56It was 157 degrees on the field in Tennessee.
0:59I think it was like just last week, Jason.
1:02Andy's like, I like at least four games to be ruined by weather.
1:06Per year, not per week. Well, quota filled. Yeah.
1:09Quota filled in week two. That was week two.
1:12Last week. Last week we were big, big dome.
1:15I'm speaking on behalf of big dome. You, yes, please.
1:18We were very kind in saying that what the Buffalo Bills have done with their stadium, we might accept.
1:25But this was a real big week for big dome.
1:28Yes, it was. I mean, there's a lot of rain around the country and there was a lot of poor football.
1:35See, you guys, you guys talk a lot about, oh, rain doesn't affect anything.
1:39And then you spent the whole morning complaining about the rain.
1:43Well, it was rain and wind. Yeah. No, there wasn't a lot of, there wasn't a lot of Chicago.
1:49Two of the games. Yeah. Okay. So it was the wind that when the ball hit them in the hands, that's the
1:57wind that caused them to drop it. Wait, are you arguing for big dome right now?
2:02I'm so confused. No, I'm just saying you say a lot about rain being no big deal.
2:07Okay. Big dome is officially changing. Rain is a problem.
2:11Okay. Rain, rain, go. So you're accepting? I'm accepting your argument on behalf of big dome.
2:16Put a move on it. Welcome to the team, Andy.
2:19Maybe I'm just a little bitter because every one of the players that I recommended this offseason decided to get hurt within five seconds of the season starting.
2:28It was a real problem for you. Your nickname, if you're new to the show, you got...
2:34Once upon a time. Once upon a time, you were known as...
2:38I thought we were past this. ...as the Fantasy Reaper because you had a knack for getting guys injured.
2:44Yeah, if I didn't get them injured... You got them injured!
2:48If you liked someone... This is your fault. That means that the Grim Reaper is slowly trailing them and he's gonna get them.
2:55Yeah, so let's just recap here. Your Fantasy MVP...
2:58Oh! ...left to right here. Alec Pierce... Yeah, off with crutches yesterday.
3:02That's cool. Your three my guys were Dajon Stribbling...
3:05Out. ...Lad McConkie... Barely surviving. ...injured barely in and currently injured playing.
3:09And Caleb Williams got injured out. It's possible that Caleb had the most severe one-week injury of all time.
3:15Yeah, we're not really sure yet. But it looked like maybe career in.
3:20It's sure. On the field. So, tell me one thing.
3:23Who do you like right now? I'm not mentioning my players on my team.
3:28Well, like who? I like Zay Flowers. He's just gonna mention all Mike's guys.
3:32I like Dalton Kade. Kenneth Walker. Do you like Ken Walker, Andy?
3:36No comment. I overpowered him with Kenneth Walker, Jason.
3:39We're good. Okay. Yeah, I mean, we had... That's a powerful statement.
3:43Look, I guess. I'm sorry. Also, apparently if your number is in the mid-teens, you're also in jeopardy.
3:49I'm looking at the board here. 14, 15, 15, 18.
3:52Maybe like I'll pick on my guy in a different...
3:55Yeah. Obviously, it's all tongue-in-cheek. It sucks that, you know...
3:59It's just terrible... Terrible timing. By week two, all four of your guys went down to injury.
4:04But, you know, Lad will be back. Lad looks great.
4:08Caleb Williams seems like he's gonna be back sooner rather than later.
4:11TBD. So, yeah. And then last week on Friday, there was some drama around the studio.
4:17And by drama, I mean our producer screaming his head off for eight to ten hours.
4:22Also, Foot Clan, I know Jeremy and I can look a little bit alike.
4:27But I got accused of some things in that video of which I am not in.
4:32A lot of people were like, I knew Jason was the one who drops all the first words.
4:38Yeah, he's the potty mouth. Like, I'm not in this video.
4:41I saw comments, oh, just like Jason to be in the fridge in the background.
4:46That wasn't you either. Oh, man. That was our developer.
4:50They were really trying. That's true. He looks just like us.
4:53Is that Schneider? Yeah, Schneider, me and you. I mean, me and Schneider, our team name in the League of Records is Dead Ringers.
5:01Yeah. Because you look like each other. And then, yeah.
5:04So, you know, I'm just gonna bring something up here.
5:08And I'm not saying that I am against it because I find it as a form of respect.
5:14But basically what happened on Friday for the three of you that didn't see the screaming video that went out all over
5:21social media, I made a very fine trade, normal trade in our league record.
5:25In fact, I don't think it's a good trade for me from a value perspective.
5:30It's a good trade for me because my team had one weakness, tight end, and I traded Kyle Pitts and two picks, a second and fourth round pick.
5:39Like, in our keeper league. Context is needed for the picks.
5:43But it is the best pick that you can trade a second.
5:47You cannot trade a first. But it's a three-keeper league, so it's effectively a fifth.
5:52So, again, it is. But we've seen these trades with the twos and the threes and the fours for years.
5:59This is not a weird trade for Tucker Craft.
6:01But the problem was is that just the day before, and you can see he's still.
6:07Oh, man. There is heat coming off the top of his head.
6:11He is not over it at all. I'm biting my tongue back here.
6:15He is not over it. You might not bite it for long.
6:19I know. But what happened was is the day before, apparently, there had been these internal conversations that nobody's going to trade
6:26with Andy and give him a tight end. And Papa Josh said, stay strong.
6:31Hashtag down with Andy. Which, by the way, collusion.
6:34Of which I don't care because. It would have been collusion if we made an agreement to both not trade with you.
6:41He was trying to influence me. There's a hashtag.
6:44I don't know what a hashtag is. I never said that.
6:47There was no agreement like we're not going to trade with Andy.
6:51Look, I'm not actually protesting because, in my opinion, the qualifier.
6:55The whole league knew what was going on. The qualifier of bad collusion is that an individual team benefits through collusion.
7:02This was more like I don't benefit from all of you making me public enemy number one.
7:07Yeah, let's be clear. The entire league is openly colluding against you because you are a super team and we want you to lose.
7:15It's like back when the Patriots. Not Josh. Oh.
7:18Yeah. Josh is trying to help me. So, yeah.
7:21The real issue here was that Josh and his co-manager basically in DMs told Jeremy, stay strong.
7:27Do not trade him your tight end. We will not trade him the tight end.
7:32We will not trade him his backup for Kenneth Walker.
7:35And then the next day, they go and do it.
7:38Yeah, he was at the front of the line screaming.
7:42I mean, he's like Braveheart. He's like, hold. Yeah.
7:45Hold. And then he runs away. And then he homers into the bushes as all the soldiers.
7:50You guys stay here. Calvary's on the way. So, that's the context because there were people out there that were like, what is wrong with this trade?
7:59Nothing. If this trade was between two other managers in the league, nobody bats an eye or even cares.
8:05Probably praises Josh for the value it got. It was the fact that there had been this, like, Al has, he has Trey McBride and Kittle.
8:14So, I obviously am trying to go for his extra tight end, and he's just slamming the reject button over and over and over.
8:22And then the next day, his, and it didn't help that Tucker Craft's on his hometown team, and he loves him.
8:29But that's what happened. So, that's the context for it.
8:32It wasn't that bad of a trade. They just want me to lose real bad.
8:37Yeah, you want to know why? Because, again, in our league, a really good score is 130, 135.
8:43You should win. You scored 175 last week. You are currently at 179 with a player left and with Tucker Craft doing nothing.
8:50So, yeah, your team is stupid. All right. We once again put out the call for the Monday pun day.
8:57It was, I mean, I went through them this morning, 99.999% negative.
9:01It was a terrible week. Because injuries, disappointments. Rain, bad football, not a lot of touchdowns.
9:06We were going into halftime of the early slate, and it was like, who scored?
9:11There was Derek Henry. Yeah, Travion Henderson. It was like nobody.
9:15Yeah, and then again, a bunch of the negative ones were about injuries, which I avoided.
9:20But it was a bad day for a lot of people.
9:23The nice thing is maybe your opponent also had a bad day.
9:27So let's jump into it. Let's get sophisticated. And we'll start with some good, like, Boss Allen.
9:33Oh, I got him. Yeah, and you had CeeDee Lyon making an appearance this week.
9:38How about the Boston TD party? I like that one.
9:41Yeah, that's a good one. James Cookin as well.
9:44Yeah. We also had some big Dak energy this week.
9:47Chris Osuave. Yes, he was awesome. And the American Najigba warrior.
9:51That's right. And my dude, Travion Winderson. Yes. Amun-Ra Saint Crown.
9:55And then Devante Swish. He was awesome this week.
9:58They weren't all good. No. Drake Mayday. Yeah, we got to have some conversations here.
10:02I'll take this one. Colston Hateland. Yeah. And this week, despite 21 carries, it was Ashton Empty.
10:08And you had Mazda Marv. Hey, I like a good Mazda.
10:12Mazda Marv. What, you got to do that to Mazda?
10:15Yes. Oh, Tucker, crap. And Dallas got hurt. Oh, he did.
10:19Travis ain't Jan Jr. That's good. Fuck. Oh, man.
10:22You want to give it to Jason? Justin Turt squirt?
10:25Justin Turt squirt. We're not above it. We're not above it.
10:28Oh, you hate a bad Turt squirt. Terror Lawrence.
10:31What? Loser Burden III. Yeah. Bad McConkie. And why not finish it out with Alec Tears.
10:37Justin Turt squirt? Come on. I thought you'd appreciate that one.
10:40Alec Tears. Oh, man. Yeah. Hashtag Monday Ponday every Sunday night.
10:44Share it on Instagram and on X. What? Yeah.
10:47Yeah. Yeah. Look, the Chargers. What did I say last week?
10:50If they lose this game back to back at home, Cardinal Raiders, they might not win again for the next seven weeks.
10:58They looking at their schedule. I think there is a real chance.
11:02Buffalo, Seattle, Denver, Kansas City, Rams, Houston, Baltimore. Five of those seven on the road.
11:07They go 0-7. This team starts 0-7. They look broken.
11:10No, that would be 0-9 if they lose all those games.
11:13I mean, that is insane that Mike McDaniel. Oh, man.
11:17Maybe it was his OC who's now in Minnesota.
11:20If you want to be in the massive panic category, Chargers are number one on that board.
11:25But you have other teams that are joining. The Falcons look as abysmal as you can look.
11:31Tampa Bay, they've continued their complete fail pile at the end of the year.
11:35As Tampa, then Atlanta. Atlanta has not had a qualified quarterback yet.
11:39No. I agree. No, first carry of the game by Cooper Rush fumbles the ball.
11:44You also have great teams that have stuff to worry about.
11:48I think the Lions have looked. They almost lost week one.
11:51You could argue they should have lost week one.
11:54They've looked shaky. They've lost some people on defense.
11:57And if you look at the record, pre and post Ben Johnson leaving that team, you lose a great mind.
12:04It's going to hurt you. You see all the blobfish second and 10 runs this past week?
12:10He loves it. We do live in a highly criticized world here.
12:13Let's talk some news. News and notes from around the league.
12:17Puka Nakua was, this was talked about over the weekend.
12:20Questionable for tonight's game. Added to the injury report hip injury and groin soreness.
12:25I don't know which one's which. McVay said groin.
12:28Didn't practice Saturday. Trending in the wrong direction, according to Adam Schmefter.
12:32Thank you. Game time decision. But don't worry, guys.
12:35In one of my leagues, I look, I just didn't want to mess around with Puka.
12:40Didn't have an option to pick up on Monday night.
12:43You played one of your good bench guys. I played Marvin Harrison, who might be the worst player in the history of the National Football League.
12:52He will score the same as Puka if Puka sits.
12:55How many? The funny thing about Marv is that after every week of every game, always, they asked the coaching staff about why Marv wasn't involved that day.
13:04And then the coaching staff comes up with some new line.
13:08You know, we didn't pass for crap today. I wouldn't look much into it.
13:13Or week one. The coverage was rolling over his direction.
13:16Yeah, they played against me before. They knew what to do to shut him down.
13:21He's just so good. Guys, he's just so good.
13:24They scheme him out. Oh, do you remember? I don't know if you weren't watching this game.
13:29You know, if it was just if you're on red zone or whatever, you might not have seen the brilliant moment on
13:37the broadcast when they we should have taken a picture of this.
13:40The broadcast team is on Twitter. I haven't seen on Twitter.
13:44Puts up this graphic comparing JSN and Marvin Harrison on the screen.
13:48Just like, hey, let's take a look at the two Ohio State guys and how they're how they're competing.
13:54And it was like, oh, no. At the moment, it was seven for one hundred and thirty nine and two for JSN,
14:02who put up a third later and zero for zero for Marv.
14:05I mean, the fact that they put that graphic up.
14:09Just look, I will apologize for that one. Yeah, because I like I like the idea that Marv with the fall process was LaFleur would get him going.
14:18And all the reports in the offseason were very positive.
14:21But look, I'll eat that one. That one's not an injury.
14:25I can't control the injuries. I can control whether I ever mention Marvin Harrison as a start again.
14:31I think the junior. Yes. The hard part to the old man.
14:35The hard part for Marv is. Yeah, like we're in our small sample size.
14:39We're in our two games. It seems like the Chargers might just be very bad.
14:44You had the Cardinals upset with what the double digit spread.
14:48And then they are like, oh, well, maybe the Cardinals are OK.
14:52And then they but then they have to play the Seattle Seahawks defense, which is elite.
14:57And so moving forward, when they're playing bad teams, I guess Marv will still be bad.
15:02Yes. Yeah. Yeah. That was the summary of it.
15:05I mean, it's targets are earned. We've said that.
15:08So like targets are a stat that is important because you have to earn the target.
15:13You have to get open. You have to be in the right spot.
15:18You have to trust you. You have to have your head around watching him just watching him every play.
15:24He has no there's no world where you can throw him the ball.
15:28Mike, your son is in high school football right now.
15:31Is there any coaching strategy to when the play is not drawn up for you in particular, just take the play off at wide receiver?
15:40Is that what they teach? Oh, no. Just take the.
15:43Oh, no. Oh, no, they don't. Does that clue the defense in on maybe where the ball is going to go if somebody just barely runs?
15:51Lolligags. Yeah. Lolligags down the field. I'm so I'm so ashamed of him.
15:56Yes. Oh, there he is. We got the graphic on the screen and they.
16:00Oh, man. Just bodied him right on the broadcast.
16:03Why? I love a. He is. We have a good dunk.
16:07But why are we doing that? He's our DK Metcalf.
16:10I wish. To much. To he who. DK Metcalf is so much better.
16:14I mean, but but a player who has all the physical gifts and abilities, but something in the motor or energy or, you know, something is missing there.
16:24I don't know what it is. We've had enough years.
16:27They showed Marvin Harrison's first two games each of the last three years.
16:31It's a decline. Like Marv's not improving. He's declining.
16:34The Cardinals had to go pay Michael Wilson. Trey McBride gets all the targets.
16:39Kendrick Bourne is more involved on a weekly basis.
16:42I'm sorry. I could talk about it. Yeah. Yeah.
16:45I'm honestly just disappointed. Six point five percent targets per route run.
16:49Ew. All right. So Puka tonight. Look, if you have Puka and you and you're riding dirty into this evening, Malachi Fields, Terrence Ferguson, Tutu Atwell.
16:57These are your game day, game time pivots. Those are the options.
17:01So you could take a shot. Hopefully you did the smart thing like we say every week.
17:07Put them in your flex position before the week begins so you have the ability to go put in whatever if Blake
17:14Corham is sitting out there or Singletary or some emergency player.
17:18But I'm going to blitz the injuries here, guys.
17:20If you have a thought, jump in real quick.
17:23DJ Moore day to day. Expected to practice. AC joint sprain.
17:27Caleb Williams carted off. Hamstring injury. Bears optimistic that they've avoided serious injury MRI today.
17:32They have not even. They're not even ruling him out for this week yet, but he'll probably miss.
17:38We don't know yet. A couple. Saquon Barkley missed most of the game on Sunday.
17:43If you watched, it was a lot more Will Shipley than it was.
17:47First tank Bixby from a snap count perspective, but it was not Saquon.
17:51MRI for a stinger to evaluate his neck. Jadarian Price left with an injury.
17:56Chest injury. Optimism that he avoided significant injury. It wasn't a great day for either of the Notre Dame running backs that
18:03came into the league and played each other. It was a great day for Emmanuel Wilson.
18:08It was. J.K. Dobbins exited with an injury. No, no.
18:12Hamstring. He said. It's just a little. He said he was going to play 17, and this one counts.
18:18Yes, it does. So if he gets back for week three, he can still be a man of his work.
18:24But I will say that it gave opportunity for Jonah Coleman, who looked great.
18:29Jonah's probably the number one pickup. Stole. You know, the Broncos won the game.
18:34He got a touchdown. Yeah, I think we got waiver show tomorrow.
18:38We'll work through all the rankings. I think Jonah Coleman's near the top, but I think Josh Downs is too.
18:44Sure. With the Alec Pierce injury and the fact that Keenan looks absolutely donezo.
18:49Like, Josh Downs got a huge target share. I, you know, Pierce is going to be out for a while.
18:55I mean, he left with an ankle foot injury.
18:58X-rays were negative. But he left on crutches. And it's his surgically repaired.
19:03It's a nightmare. And he just got paid. This one sucks too.
19:07I mean, there's been a bunch of them. Jonathan Brooks re-aggravated his groin injury, went to the medical tent, was getting consoled by Chuba Hubbard.
19:15I mean, not good. It stinks for a guy with the injury history that he has.
19:20Yikes. Jaden Daniels. Yeah. Left with the dislocated left elbow.
19:23It looked like it was the same exact thing.
19:26I don't know how he doesn't have a brace on.
19:30I just don't. Yeah. From what I understand, they said this on the broadcast, he doesn't have a ligament in that elbow anymore.
19:37So I don't. It can just flop around. Well, I mean, or whatever happened with the injury and the surgery or whatever that happened.
19:45I don't know. It's like sometimes people live without an ACL like Papa Josh back there.
19:50I don't know. Maybe. Maybe. I didn't get the surgery.
19:53And I don't know. Then where'd it go? I don't know.
19:57Maybe I miss. Maybe I misheard. Okay. If he didn't have surgery, I don't think the ligament disappeared.
20:03But that's what somebody said. And clearly this thing can flop out of place anytime he puts his left hand on the ground.
20:11How are you not in a brace? I don't know.
20:14Well, it's a non-throwing elbow and we don't know how long the prognosis will be.
20:19It's a bummer. He was playing very well. We'll get more news soon, but I would expect he's going to miss a month at least.
20:27Yeah. It seems like it. J.K. Dobbins. We talked about Rico turf or a toe injury.
20:32Sorry. It could be turf toe. Returned in the second half.
20:36Jaden Reed. This was scary. Left on a stretcher.
20:39Neck injury. Compression impact to the top of the head.
20:42Did have feeling in his extremities. Very scary one.
20:45Probably going to miss time in concussion protocol, I would guess, at least a couple of weeks.
20:51But don't know yet. So Demarcus Robinson, high ankle sprain.
20:54He's out for a while for the 49ers. They're going to have to sign somebody because Mike Evans exited with a hip injury as well.
21:02Again, doesn't appear to be serious, just like everything they've said about every injury he's had all offseason so far.
21:09I will say that they were trouncing them by the time he left.
21:13So I can't imagine. Like, if he had a non-serious injury, he would probably not come back.
21:19And he didn't. So there is a chance that this actually is not serious.
21:23And by the way, he does have, this would be Jaden Daniels' left arm, he does have a ligament.
21:29They're just all completely torn and unrepaired. So that's what it was.
21:33Because he had basically the Tommy John injury in the left elbow, but they chose not to do surgery.
21:40It's not his throwing arm. But structurally, seems like a problem if those things are meant to be, you know.
21:46Yeah. Not doctors. Seems like he should have had the surgery, perhaps.
21:50Caleb Douglas, walking boot. It's offense rookie. There's an offense that doesn't look good.
21:55And a schedule that looks even worse. Yeah. They're going to be really up there for the number one pick.
22:01I mean, I believe they play, oh yeah, Kansas City this week.
22:05And then Minnesota. And then Cincinnati before the bye.
22:08Who, if you haven't been paying attention, Cincinnati's defense looks fantastic.
22:12My Bengals. We're looking good. Kansas City this week.
22:15Kansas City this week. It might look better than the offense.
22:18It really does look like they're a regular NFL defense that can shut someone down, which we haven't seen that in a minute.
22:26So Jaden's prognosis is can rehab for a few weeks and return with a brace for the rest of the year.
22:33Or you can have surgery in the offseason. Or you can have surgery now and the season's over.
22:39Oh, man. So I'm sorry, Commander fans. It's not going well.
22:42Nope. Dallas Goddard, right knee injury, right after he was performing well.
22:46I'll say, like, if Saquon misses time and Goddard misses time, they were real close to losing that game to the Titans.
22:53They should have. They looked so bad. I mean, the Eagles looked...
22:57Only Devontae Smith looked good in that game, too.
23:00Yeah. Where's Lemon? I mean, he's slithering somewhere, man.
23:03Makai Lemon. I actually think Makai Lemon, from what I understand, I think he ran more routes than Dontavian Wicks.
23:10It's just all the targets... I got a snake, man!
23:13All the targets went to Dontavian Wicks. That is correct.
23:16David Njoku and Charlie Kohler, to add injury to insult, both left early against the Raiders.
23:22Kohler was with an arm sling after the game.
23:25Njoku was carted off. So, yeah. Arande Gadsden, who scored, right?
23:28I mean, back into the conversation. And, my goodness, there you go for the news.
23:33We'll take a break. We'll turn it positive and talk about the studs before we hit the duds.
23:39All right. Man, what a week. Let's get into it.
23:42This week's Fantasy Stud Muffins. Like I said, waivers show tomorrow.
23:46And if you want custom waivers for your league, that's in the ultimate dashboard at jointhefoot.com if you want to get in there.
23:53Top five scorers of the week. The top two were on Thursday.
23:57Josh Allen and Jared Goff, one and two. Dak, Mahomes, and Purdy finishing it out.
24:02Purdy was one intentional grounding throw, I think, from the first hundred perfect QBR in the history of the NFL.
24:09That's how efficient his game was. I think he was 15 for 16 and absolutely just carved him up.
24:15It seemed nonchalant. But look out next week for Brock Purdy.
24:19Steers on the Cardinals. Oh, man. Purdy's really good.
24:22At home. And he got to play the Dolphins, whose defense is as good as their offense.
24:27Yeah. Well, look. Purdy was the start of the week.
24:31Dak was the start of the week. Nice to see those guys in the top five.
24:36You know who looked like maybe behind Purdy, maybe the second best quarterback of the week?
24:41Dude. Yes. Or on the Sunday, at least. Bryce Young looked good.
24:45Yes. He was sizzling. Bryce. That's Bryce. And he looked like he was having a good time.
24:51This is unbelievable. This would be so good for fantasy if we can have a young quarterback that was supposed to be great be good.
24:59I mean, two weeks in, you can't ask for more than he did.
25:03I know both matchups were easy-ish. You know, he hasn't faced a gauntlet schedule yet.
25:08The first two weeks, you'd hope that he could do what he did.
25:12But he did. And so that's great for Coker, for Tett McMillan.
25:16And, of course, the walrus. Yeah. Do we even have that?
25:20We do somewhere. It's somewhere. Thank you. But their pass rate over expectations, like their neutral pass rate, it's very high right now.
25:27The Panthers and Bryce Young. I didn't think it could be done, but this is incredible.
25:33Uncredible. Uncredible. Uncrustable. This is uncrustable. Tyler Shuck got it done, 252.
25:37Man. Had a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown.
25:40Leads the NFL in passing yardage with Bryce Young just behind.
25:43Yeah, he does. Gets the Raiders and the Falcons for the next two weeks, which is great.
25:49And then maybe, maybe. Maybe you get Jordan Tyson back.
25:52But Vele has looked good. Jawan Johnson has looked good.
25:55Olave is a machine. So, this is a very exciting offense.
25:59And, you know, he rushed the ball nine times.
26:02So, for fantasy football. And they won on the road.
26:05This is a team that was like a play.
26:08One play. From being 2-0 on the road against the Lions, on the road against the Ravens.
26:14With one of the worst halves of football I've ever seen a quarterback play.
26:18Right now, the game goes on. And Chuck has gotten better over the back half of these games.
26:24They were down 17-6 at one point. Baltimore, I thought.
26:27Like, the Saints are lucky they caught Baltimore with the diminished weaponry.
26:31But they also played well. They did the thing that, I don't understand it, but it happened so much over the last 10 years.
26:39Where all of a sudden, the team that has Derrick Henry loses a game that they were winning because they stopped giving him the ball.
26:47It was like he was dominating them. And then they gave him like five carries in the second half.
26:54And lo and behold, it was worse. Yeah. And a shout-out for a competent performance by Cam Moore this week.
27:00Kirk Cousins was great. He was on the fantasy face-off on Friday.
27:04And then Drew Locke also, where credit is due, really just executed the offense to perfection.
27:09It was. It was five carries for Derrick Henry in the second half.
27:14That's not okay. What are you doing? He was so good in the first.
27:18I mean, I guess that game got tied up pretty quick.
27:22But still, it was just too much on Lamar's shoulders.
27:25Well, the top five running back scorers of the week were familiar names.
27:30It was all the big boys. Jonathan Taylor, Kenneth Walker with no touchdowns.
27:34CMC with two of them. James Cook with one.
27:37And then Jameer Gibbs with one. Big boys doing the work.
27:40I mean, Kenneth Walker right now, Mike, you want to wax poetic for a second?
27:45I mean, it's just been majestic. He is exactly who I thought he was.
27:50We have a tweet from NextGenStats. Kenneth Walker III forced 15 missed tackles in week two, exceeding his career high of 14 that he set in week one.
27:59Walker has forced 14 or more missed tackles three times since 2024.
28:03The entire rest of the NFL has done so twice.
28:06You might want to start playing people against the Colts.
28:10The Colts have given up, I believe, the most yards through two games to start a season ever.
28:15It's not good. But also, I mean, they played Henry and Walker.
28:19So it's... Yeah. Tough matchups. But the utilization of Walker is incredible.
28:23Ten targets. Ten targets. It reminds me very much of what we saw last year from Christian McCaffrey, where when you can
28:31be the second highest scorer on a week and not get a touchdown...
28:35Yeah. How... Oh, and he had three chances on the goal line.
28:39How do you have bad games? It feels impossible.
28:42It's injury or he's awesome. Yeah. Let me ask you this question right now, because he got into the end zone.
28:49Rasheed Rice did. But the targets, the utilization, it's been different.
28:52And by the way, Travis Kelsey looks slimmer and faster than he looked last year.
28:57Would you trade Rasheed Rice away on the high of the touchdown this week?
29:02We would have traded him away on the high last week.
29:05Yeah. So, yeah, probably. He... Did he get a touchdown this week?
29:09I think his touchdown was week one. This week he was four for 83.
29:14Oh, yeah. Yeah, more yards. Oh, my bad. I don't think you have to force him away, but...
29:20Six targets this week, too. But I'm willing to.
29:23I'm willing to move on. He also had... Didn't he have, like, a complete garbage play?
29:28Wasn't it, like, right before the half or something where he got...
29:32There was some play... Yes. Oh, yeah. ...on Hail Mary where he got, like...
29:37It was a complete throwaway, like... 30 yards for free for nothing.
29:41Yeah, it was, like, instead of the Hail Mary, they just threw it underneath and let him run for 30, 40 yards.
29:48Let's talk about Amari and Hampton. 23 carries, 94 yards, a rushing touchdown, a fumble.
29:53Another fumble. Another fumble. And this fumble cost him the game.
29:56He leads all running backs in yards after contact.
29:59We watched this game. We watched them all, but we watched this game closely.
30:04And, like, when he gets moving downhill, he breaks through people.
30:07Here's the wild thing about Hampton. One of the differentiators between him and A-Chan, to me, was, hey, you want running backs on a good team.
30:16I'm not sure that that's what he is going to be.
30:20Yeah, that was part of the... Because the next seven weeks is a gauntlet.
30:24So, I liked what I saw, but I don't like the fact that this team can't move the football.
30:30He looked really, really good. He had a fantastic fantasy output.
30:34Yeah. They used him in the screen game. I mean, you can't ask for him to do much more other than not
30:41fumble, but it's funny to think, like, maybe he's on a bad team.
30:46Yeah. Yeah, it's... I think the actual player, the metrics look good, but the team looks bad.
30:51Derrick Henry got it done as well. You're not getting targets for Hampton.
30:55No, that's been... And, you know, that's a problem.
30:58McDaniel coming over, I think the biggest surprise for me is the lack of running back targets.
31:04Like, was that... It's funny because the two targets he got, I think, were both...
31:09Like, they were designed plays. I remember one of them was a really nice play, totally designed for him.
31:15It's the checkdowns that aren't coming. Like, that's where I would expect, especially with what we've seen the first couple weeks from
31:22Justin Herbert, who has been a checkdown machine. When he had Austin Eckler, it was like, oh, let me check this ball down.
31:30Things are getting hairy. Let me check this ball down.
31:33He's not doing that. And he needs to be doing that.
31:37Well, and here's something to think about, because I was just looking into this.
31:41Part of the thought was, hey, A-chan got a bunch of work in the passing game because Tua loves to check it
31:49down, and Malik doesn't, and it was Mike McDaniel.
31:52And then, well, Mike McDaniel is going to come over here and throw the ball a bunch, so Amarion Hampton.
31:58Right now, A-chan's on pace for more targets this year than last year with Mike McDaniel and Tua Tunga by Loa.
32:05He's on pace for 93 targets. Last year, he had 85 targets.
32:09Sometimes it might be it's the player that overwhelms the situation more than the scheme because, you know, I was expecting more
32:16passing game work from Hampton as well. Yeah, we all were.
32:20And Keaton Mitchell has been involved, so, yeah. I mean, I don't think Hampton is somebody you panic on right now.
32:27No. I think he's going to be a solid running back, but when you don't win football games, it's unlikely he'll be a top five type of contender.
32:36You're talking probably on fringe running back one range right now is how I'd look at him.
32:41Yeah, that's fine. Like, would you trade? I mean, I would certainly rather have Jente than Hampton right now.
32:48I would rather have Jente than Hampton. And I don't feel like we felt that way in the draft period.
32:54So, wide receivers, big names as well. JSN, CeeDee Lamb, Amon Ra, Jamar Chase, and Devontae Smith.
33:00I didn't think Amon Ra could get passed, and he got passed by two players this week.
33:05JSN with three touchdowns and CeeDee Lamb with two touchdowns and looked – I mean, CeeDee Lamb has looked great.
33:12I didn't get any puns in there for George Pickens, but they weren't good.
33:17Yeah. It's been a – It's been a slow start.
33:20Yeah. Other performances by maybe smaller, you know, expected players, Stephon Diggs, Trey Tucker.
33:24Cody White. Yeah. Yeah, Cody White, who is a Raiders wide receiver, two touchdowns on two targets, which is wild.
33:31He was elevated from the practice squad. But, you know, Diggs has scored twice.
33:36Do you think the Atlanta Falcons wish they had someone like Kirk Cousins?
33:40Yeah, of course they do. Of course they do.
33:43Just like all the teams that ever had, like, Jacoby Brissett and are throwing out Cooper Rushes of the world.
33:49I mean, it's rough. Denzel Boston through two weeks.
33:52Wide receiver 18, wide receiver 11, playing every snap, scoring both weeks.
33:56Yardage went up to 95 yards. Denzel Boston, man.
33:59So, week one, it was kind of a late-game, garbagey, 50-yard bomb touchdown.
34:04But he still – he caught a 50-yard touchdown.
34:06It was great. This week, he broke tackles. Oh, man.
34:10I fell back. His touchdown was awesome. His touchdown was awesome.
34:13He's really looked like a man out there. Yes.
34:16He's going to be an important pickup. It's tough to rely on, you know, the Browns passing game.
34:22But you bet on talent for rookies, and he's shown it so far.
34:26The shot of a gun. Yeah. I mean, he got it done.
34:30The Watson steals a win. Had – He didn't have a bad game.
34:35How – He didn't have a bad game. How on earth does Tampa Bay not win that game?
34:41I mean, that's – You have a bajillion-hour delay.
34:44There's two minutes left, and all you've got to do is score a touchdown.
34:48I haven't seen a quarterback look worse on deep balls this year than Baker.
34:53Yeah, I mean, that was – Sean Watson, by the way, through – Go ahead, Jay.
34:58I was just going to say, when they came back, it was pouring rain.
35:03He was – You know, the weather really affected that game.
35:06That's what Baker was talking about. Why did they throw it deep on every play then when they came back?
35:13That's what Baker said after in the press conference.
35:16He was basically saying, you know, we're connecting on that.
35:19The balls were really slick, and I probably shouldn't – He said afterwards he probably shouldn't have been throwing it deep and should have been checking it down.
35:28Yes. But hindsight's 20-20. He didn't do it in the game.
35:32The Sean Watson was 24 for 30 with 80% completion, 238 and 2, no turnovers.
35:37The opposite of whatever hindsight is – What do we call this?
35:41Foresight. Sure, foresight of just watching it in real time going, what are we doing?
35:46You just – You have half a field to go, and you have two minutes to do it.
35:52Third and 15, you're going deep so that you can have to go deep again on fourth and 15.
35:58Ridiculous, man. That team is the number one contender for midseason firing by far.
36:02Sure. Because they almost did it in the offseason.
36:05They fired everybody else and let Todd Bowles stay around, and they looked terrible.
36:10Hey, Jalen Waddell, there you are. Eight for 138, Jalen Waddell.
36:14This was the game. We got at least one bounce back.
36:17This was the game we said was the perfect test, like the perfect type of defense where it's average.
36:23It's not a bad gimme team. It's a team that can score.
36:27Does Jalen Waddell command the targets? And he did.
36:30Double-digit targets, eight receptions, 138 yards. That week one in Kansas City, Kansas City just shut down the Broncos.
36:37I'm throwing that in the garbage, and I think Jalen Waddell's going to be very, very good the rest of the season.
36:44I think Deshaun Watson was the fourth highest passer rating of the week.
36:48I don't think it's going to be Shadour at home next week.
36:52No, it won't. Tight ends? Is that where we're moving to?
36:56Yep. Travis Kelsey, number one. Oh. And he looked great.
36:59He just did. And they don't. I don't think the Colts know how to play defense.
37:04I really don't. Because there were multiple breakdowns where Travis Kelsey is just left wide open.
37:09Nobody covers him. Kenneth Walker is a problem for everybody else's defense.
37:13Like, Travis Kelsey will remain very startable because everyone – you have to be terrified of Kenneth Walker.
37:19Yeah. And that's what they wanted when they went out and got him.
37:23Dalton Schultz? Oh, the doctor said. Mike's start of the week.
37:2712 for 140. Ha-ha! It wasn't Noel. It wasn't Hutchinson.
37:30It wasn't Booty. It wasn't John Wayne. Whatever. I don't know what his first name is.
37:36That's not nice. I would love to know it.
37:39I just don't. But, um, Dalton Kincaid, 19 points.
37:42Jake Ferguson got in the action. He took the spot of Pickens.
37:45Jared. He took – Jared Wayne. Jared Wayne. It's not that far from John Wayne.
37:50If you're wondering where George Pickens' production went, it went to Ferguson this week.
37:55And then Darren the Walleress, uh, you know, three for 33 and two.
37:59That's kind of what he did last year in Miami.
38:03It was touchdown central for him. Did you see what I tweeted this morning about the, uh, the numbers for Tyler Warren are ridiculous.
38:10He is, Jason, through two weeks, he has nine catches for 34 yards.
38:15Gross. Yeah. Colston Loven's like, I could never get that.
38:18No. I mean – But he's had a touchdown in both weeks.
38:22He's had a touchdown in both, but 13 yards and 21 yards on three and six catches.
38:27It's wild. Dude. I will say that the target share, it hasn't been abysmal.
38:32Five targets week one, seven targets this week. I expected far more.
38:36Well, maybe with Pierce out, maybe you'll get it.
38:39Yeah. I mean, I, uh, you know, this is, this is a player I think who should be, you know, really getting 10 targets a game.
38:48Um, but he's got to prove it. Happy or sad here?
38:51I'm going to blitz them real quick. Top 12 tight ends by ADP.
38:55Happy or sad? Brock Bowers. Sad. Trey McBride. Super happy.
38:59Yeah, yeah. Colson Loveland. Oh. Super sad. Oh. Tyler Warren.
39:02I think you're happy. Tucker Kraft. Oh, I guess because of the touchdowns.
39:06Uh, you'll be all right with Kraft. You knew what you were signing up for.
39:11You're neutral. Sam Laporta. Meh. Meh. Harold Fannin. Sad, sad.
39:14Kyle Pitts. Super sad. And then three – Still hopeful, though.
39:18Three in a row late round tight ends. You ready?
39:21George Kittle, Dalton Kincaid, Travis Kelson. Yeah. Those are great.
39:25And then Dallas Goddard, uh, now injured. Yeah, he's hurt.
39:28So. All right, we'll take a break. We'll talk duds.
39:31Pooped in his big boy pants. Where do you think Justin Turd's court came from?
39:36We have a segment that's literally called Pooped in your big boy pants.
39:40We're not above it. Um, I will say this, man.
39:44Nobody helped Justin Herbert this week. 15 for 27, 192 and 1 through two picks.
39:49I mean, there are, there are interceptions that are your fault and there are interceptions that are not your fault.
39:55Uh, he had one of the not your faults in this one where, um, I believe it was Brennan Thompson juggled the
40:02ball 15 times and threw it into the air.
40:05So many drops, but also, you know, barely 50, 50% completion percentage for him with all those drops.
40:11I mean, I don't know. He's a mess. You can, if you're, if you're looking to, will you drop him?
40:18Yeah. Go ahead. The next seven weeks are a gauntlet.
40:21Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you're, you're would, you would much rather have like the Purdy might even still be on your waiver wire.
40:29People just never want Brock Purdy. Uh, did, did you get an update there?
40:33Ben Johnson, according to Adam Schefter four minutes ago, Caleb Williams will likely miss some time.
40:38Okay. Makes sense. Uh, week to week. So you, you figure we, we haven't heard the official ruling, the grading, but assuming
40:46this is like a grade one hamstring that you would expect him to miss two or three weeks.
40:52Um, hopefully not go on IR and be back in a month and be exciting again.
40:57Drake may 14 for 22, 208 yards, no touchdowns.
41:00He's not going to be good until AJ Brown comes back.
41:03I think the loss of Stefan Diggs and booty being replaced by AJ Brown, who is not there now.
41:10It just seems like he really doesn't have someone reliable to go, uh, you know, to, to pass the ball to.
41:17Yeah. It's like Hunter Henry. No, it hasn't. I mean, it hasn't looked good.
41:21Trevor Lawrence, 17 for 29 for one 89. It was a really down day for Trevor Lawrence.
41:27Lamar Jackson didn't have enough help. In my opinion, 21 for 31, two 35 and one, one pick barely ran the football.
41:34And you know, knows the fact that they flowers, if you just remove him and this is possible, like Mark Andrews is toast.
41:42I mean, that dude is not, not a game changing asset in any way.
41:46And without Jacoby lane, who would have had a huge chance, you were throwing the ball to what was a Webster?
41:53Yeah. The Batman had a big day. He finally came through on the promise of like Rashad Bateman always is the, he should be good.
42:01He should be good. Why is he not good?
42:04Yeah. I want to go back. I want to go watch the second half of that game again and just figure out what happened.
42:12Cause it seemed like everything in the first half was going to be perfectly fine for Lamar.
42:18Yeah. He got off to a hot start. They, they jumped out to an early quick lead fell asleep at the wheel.
42:25Yeah. I will say it for, for teams like with the Patriots and with the Ravens, when you have one alpha wide
42:32receiver and not a lot behind him, losing that guy, it seems very similar where it's like he really did not have someone reliable.
42:40Jordan love 16 for 29 for 144 and to Jordan love was in the other one of the weather.
42:46Jason, I hate this guy. Now Jason is, I hate him.
42:50Jason is going to get you. You guys were just crushing everyone in that game, but no one was good.
42:56But neither offense. About that. No, this is about our prize picks lineup where two weeks in a row, I'm going to, I'm going to be shame.
43:05Shame. But the reason, the reason why I'm shamed.
43:08Look in the mirror, bro. Sure. No, it's, it did bring it up.
43:12Yeah. But my point is it's both weeks, Jordan love on the green goblins, which are like the, the, the gimme's a
43:20hundred and he couldn't throw for more than 145 yards against the jets.
43:24Nope. Boom. I mean, I guess Jaden Reed is everything to Jordan love.
43:28It was a bad week for that entire matchup.
43:31Yeah. I think I'm, there was rain. I'm mostly throwing that game away.
43:35Yes, I am. Baker Mayfield 21 for 34 for one 82.
43:39Boy, when he runs around like crazy and completes passes, he's pretty cool.
43:43When he runs around like crazy and airmails, everybody not so cool.
43:47Again, bad weather, but it's not, it's not just been recently.
43:51He hasn't scored 20 fancy points since week 10 of last year.
43:55Second half of last year, the bucks looked bad.
43:58He looked bad. Their offensive line looked bad. Yeah.
44:01I mean, it has followed through to this season.
44:04Watson had a great game in the bad weather.
44:07So he, he didn't make good decisions. I think, I think the downfield side and a Buka.
44:12I mean, we're going to have to talk about it.
44:16Uh, David Montgomery. Oh boy. Six for 10. All right.
44:19The Montgomery argument were one, one to one. Yeah.
44:22I mean, this, this one without Nico, I mean, it was, it was really, you're playing the run in this game.
44:29Um, it feels like that would be like, I mean, without Zay flowers, you're playing the run right with Henry and he was fine.
44:37Yeah. But Henry is, uh, that's where it is.
44:39Yeah, exactly. It's a level. David Montgomery is, is a, uh, this is a opportunity play.
44:45Like David Montgomery is good enough to capitalize on a good situation.
44:49All right. Just wild. When your quarterback puts up 350 yards, let me, let me ask you a question.
44:55All right. Do you want me to press this button with Travis H and junior?
45:00Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. Full panic.
45:03It's also ridiculous what the team, I mean, what are they doing?
45:07Eight carries 25 yards for the context to two targets, two catches for six yards, tons of Camara on third down.
45:14Um, John Daigle pointed out that the saints gave Travis H and junior $28 million in guaranteed money.
45:20And Kenneth Walker received $28.7 million in guaranteed money.
45:22And the share of backfield touches through two weeks.
45:25H and is 57% and 40%. Camara would have more opportunities.
45:29You can't even blame him. Camara. They just went out and they paid a ton of money.
45:35They did. They paid a ton of money to bring this player in.
45:39And while he was there, they brought a withered old off of injury, Alvin Camara and had him play withered with withered.
45:46That's a tough one. Didn't they cut his money?
45:49What's that? Yes. They cut his money. Yes. To make him stay.
45:53They gave him nine rushing attempts. Camara. While he turned it into 15 yards, 1.7 yards per carry.
45:59But don't worry. They also target him six times in the, in the passing game where he turned that into seven yards.
46:06Dude. What? What are you doing? H and was all the way up at three yards of carry.
46:12It. That's who you got to give the ball to.
46:15One of the funnier. They gave him 15 opportunities.
46:18It's nuts. Funnier tweets of the weekend. Front of the show.
46:22Josh Norris was like, is the Travis H and junior contract.
46:26Are they laundering money? Because what? Why on earth would you give a running back?
46:30And they won. That. I don't care that. No, I know.
46:34You still are. They're making the. Yeah. They. I bet they wish they had the money for a different position.
46:41We spent a year on rational coaching last year with Charbonnet and Ken Walker.
46:45This one. There is no way they were doing the right thing with Ken Walker.
46:50And yet they won. And so they kept doing it.
46:53It's just this. This is panic. I don't. HN is not.
46:57I don't understand what they're doing. He's not even positioned to be an RB2 right now.
47:02No, he's. Well, I mean, he's not. I don't think he's that great.
47:07Um, as, as a player, uh, this is a player.
47:10I think Mike and I have been down on pretty much most of his career.
47:15He's had a lot of touchdown success, uh, which has helped his fantasy outputs, uh, coming over.
47:20We were hoping that because of the money, they turned him into a three down kind of a bell cow usage.
47:27And they didn't. They, they were doing the same thing with Kendra Miller last week.
47:32Then Alvin Kamara this week. They, they are not going to seemingly make him the engine of the running game.
47:39Yeah. Through two games. He has six carries in the first half.
47:43That's total. Okay. Jeremiah love nine for 29. It was a, another one.
47:47Okay. It was a bad game against a great defense Cardinals.
47:51I think threw for about 115 yards. It was, this game was nasty.
47:55Was it tied at halftime? Seven, seven, seven, seven at halftime.
47:58I thought maybe, uh, honestly, the Cardinals came out.
48:01They looked great for the first half as far as like, you know, one big play, one play, one broken play for JSN and 83 yard touchdown.
48:10And, um, and then it was seven, seven at the half, the Cardinals imploded and the Seahawks took over in the second half.
48:18Uh, but I, I also think part of that, something happened with Jacoby Brissett because he came out in the second half
48:25and could not get anywhere near a receiver. I mean, uncatchable target after uncatchable target.
48:30And so it was all three and outs. The Cardinals didn't have any time to possess the ball, which meant, you know,
48:37it's like you say, okay, Jeremiah love all they're still involving Tyler Algier.
48:41He didn't do it. Tyler Algier had five carries.
48:44They, the Cardinals had no, the Cardinals did not play offense in this game.
48:49Yeah. Javante Williams. Are you, what are your thoughts on Javante through two weeks?
48:54Uh, it's bad. 12 for 30 looks horrible. 12 for 30.
48:57Yeah. And memory. And he had a huge run.
49:00Did that get called back? What was his long on the week?
49:04Oh, it had to have gotten called back. His long says it was nine yards.
49:09This is what I remember like a 30. Oh, it did.
49:13I remember it now. It did get called back.
49:16He had a very, very long run right after I was dunking on it.
49:20So he needed some holding to get him there.
49:23Yes. It's a Mari DiMarcato. Well, I mean, I don't know how high up people will be talking about him, but longer
49:30term, you can, if you're the Cowboys, I know you gave Javante the money.
49:35You can't keep doing that. They'll keep doing it for a while.
49:39They'll keep doing it for a while. But 80% of snaps.
49:43They, they won the game handedly. Uh, Dak was awesome.
49:46I don't think they look at anything bad there, but I will say from our perspective, the juice that is required for
49:53fantasy points, he is not showing it. By the way, that was the, uh, to roll back to the Cardinals and Jeremiah
50:00Love, that was the first time that the Cardinals did not complete a 10 yard pass since 1987.
50:06This game started with three or four targets to, uh, to Trey McBride.
50:10He was my less pick on Friday for under 60 and a half yards.
50:15And through about five seconds of this game, I'm like, that is the dumbest pick I've ever done.
50:21I don't think he caught a pass in the second half.
50:25Something had to have happened to Brissette. Theo Mackie tweet.
50:28Brissette had to get injured because he, he went from week one.
50:32Brissette was seeing ghosts, man. And the first drive.
50:35He was so uncomfortable. Of this game just looked like, just looked like what he did last year.
50:41And then from that point on the rest of the game, he couldn't, he couldn't hit the backside of a barn.
50:48Quinchan Judkins, 12 for 21. Tried really hard though.
50:50On all of them. He tried so hard on all of those runs, guys.
50:55He did catch. He is much more involved in the passing game.
50:59Now that Dylan Sampson has been out five catches for 27 yards.
51:03Five targets. Um, Ramondre fumbled. The only thing you can't do, Ramondre.
51:07And he fumbled. And then Trevo scored. Um, it was a, how long was that run?
51:1240, 39 yards? Something close to that. So he had a 30, he had a 39 yard run, got a bunch of work after that.
51:20He was, uh, Trevion was 16 for 76 and a rushing touchdown looked great.
51:25I mean, obviously the fumble that Ramondre had seemed like, you know, that, that took his utilization down.
51:31He only had six carries. He was, he was 2.3 a carry on his other 15 carries.
51:36That's the, that is the, that's the Trevo experience.
51:39You get the chance at the big play, but between the tackles, you end up, I mean like Ramondre was not bad between the tackles.
51:48Six for 43, but he fumbled and then Trevo gave them juice.
51:52And look, the offense is kind of weird and broken right now in New England.
51:56So do not understand why they are not getting Trevion Henderson involved in the passing receiving work, put him out in the slot.
52:04Yes. Put Ramondre in the backfield and put Trevo in the slot.
52:08I agree. Um, and then, you know, Bijan did his best.
52:12Yeah. That's another, and his best is okay. So hard and he's so good.
52:16But when you don't have a quarterback and right now the Falcons do not have a quarterback until one of Pua gets back there.
52:24You might be able to end that sentence right there.
52:27They might not have a quarterback. We got to remember that like before the injury, like Tua was going to get this job.
52:35Yeah. But I can't imagine. Jack Strand doesn't look good.
52:38No, but that's what I'm saying. Cooper Rush and Jack Strand.
52:42They're so incompetent, incapable. I know, but I mean, I think Penix is a bottom third starter.
52:47But he's a starter. Yeah. Okay. Ashton Gentry. He tried hard as well.
52:5221 for 48. They won the game. Four for 15 in the passing game.
52:56Just didn't get into the end zone. Chase Brown, 20 for 80.
53:00Putting him here. This is rude. This is not a dud.
53:04That's rude. And they were up so much. 20 for 80.
53:07Like that's a good game. Yeah, that's fine. And the Bengals were up.
53:12Brooks, that's rude. So much that where you usually get a lot of passing work from Chase Brown.
53:18No borderline duds, Brooks. One of your picks was the receiving work for him.
53:22And they just, they didn't need to throw. They wanted to run the clock out.
53:27My prize picks, I had Chase Brown in there.
53:30It was 21 or 21 and a half receiving yards.
53:33He got two, which I believe Chase Brown had been basically over 21 forever.
53:38We didn't talk about Burrow because he didn't have like some kind of superstar game.
53:43But the target shared a wide receivers got fixed this week.
53:46T. Higgins and Jamar Chase. If you haven't seen the Jamar Chase, his first touchdown, it is electric.
53:52It's one of the best catches I've ever seen.
53:55He had the ball thrown across his body. He had to basically do it.
54:00He was falling down. He was falling down. He was falling down.
54:04And had to get his feet in somehow. And he did everything perfect.
54:08Just unbelievable catch. All right. Wide receiver duds. Tell me if you want the button for any of these guys.
54:15Drake London, four for 51. I don't want the button yet on him because, again, I think things don't get good, but
54:22get significantly better when they get a quarterback there.
54:25Well, it's time to have this conversation. Roma Dunze, Luther Burden.
54:29Rome, three for 43. Luther Burden, three for 32.
54:31I mean, that's their wide receiver two and three on their team.
54:35Yeah. I always say the – I don't want to hit it, but the biggest panic is the utilization right now of
54:43Luther Burden, of him not being a full-time player.
54:46Like, it certainly sounded like he was going to be.
54:49Kalief Raymond, man. It's – the stats of that game are – I talked about it on Sunday Live because that was
54:56the weather report game of, oh, no. This weather of this level of rain and this level of wind is going to
55:03come in, and it's going to be a disaster for fantasy.
55:07And the fact that Luther and Colston Levin were bad in week one, and now they're not going to be good.
55:14Nobody's going to be good in this type of a weather.
55:17I mean – But it's the on-field stuff that you should be scared about.
55:22He played – he played 57% of snaps. Kalief Raymond was at 62%.
55:26Raymond was five for 40. He's not going to be a startable asset ever.
55:31No. No, he's not. But he will ruin people.
55:34Exactly. But so will, like, Colt Komet. And, like, look, the fact we're talking about a Dunze burden in Loveland, they scored
55:4159 points in week one and they didn't do anything.
55:44You're going to lose Caleb Williams. Yeah. Like, this is totally – you should not – there isn't a lot of copium here in this situation.
55:53Like, Burden – I absolutely believe Burden and a Dunze will have a better fantasy year than Kalief Raymond.
55:59Yes. Both of them will. I completely agree. And they will be way potentially below your expectations, hopes, and ADP.
56:06Yeah, if Kalief Raymond continues playing 50-plus percent of the snaps, that is not going to do it for him.
56:12But it will ruin Luther Burden because Luther Burden will not be playing 85 percent of the snaps.
56:18I'm going to look – Zaccheaus was on that team last year, right?
56:22Yes. Correct. And he was playing ahead of Luther Burden.
56:26Well, I'm looking. It's like 60 – he's got the exact same role.
56:30I mean – Yeah. 60 – 60 percent of snaps.
56:33So, 53 was the average on the year for Zaccheaus, but he missed a couple games with injury and left one early with injury.
56:41He basically played the exact Kalief Raymond snaps. The process from Fantasy Bros this offseason was that now it will be Luther Burden.
56:49Now that he's not a rookie – we saw him kind of explode at the end of the year – he will be a full-time player.
56:57Obviously, he's drafted as like the wide receiver 15 earlier in the offseason before the injury.
57:02We were out then. Yes. Yes. When he started dropping, it looked more reasonable.
57:07And I don't think that this is a guarantee that he can't get there this year.
57:12He's still got the targets. Yeah. Like, it's just the route share of – Yeah, he had more targets than Raymond.
57:19Of Kalief Raymond running more routes than Luther Burden is just so, so bizarre.
57:24But don't overreact. Do not overreact to what we're saying about Kalief being involved.
57:28This game was – Yep. This was the true weather – It was 9-3.
57:339-3 total game. It was also the Vikings. Yes.
57:36Vikings, great defense. I hit that nasty button, Mike.
57:39Great defense. Yeah, that's what that game was. And then you had the injury to boot to finish it out.
57:46You just got to hold on. Jefferson just 3-4.
57:4855! There? Yes. Did you hear that over there?
57:51Yeah, they heard it. That's cool. That's cool. I wish I had.
57:55I bet it sounded pretty good, huh? George Pickens, 6-40.
57:59It's been – they just haven't hit on the big play yet.
58:03Yep. Jamison Williams, 2-33. I don't want to talk about it.
58:06Mike Evans, 3-54. I feel like George Pickens right now is maybe a pretty good trade for Canada.
58:12Yeah, I agree. I agree. They missed on huge plays in week one.
58:16And honestly, eight targets, 6-40. It's not the end of the world.
58:20Every wide receiver is inconsistent. Big games are coming.
58:23Evans and Debo, they were not the beneficiaries of the perfect game, so to speak.
58:28It was only, what did I say, 15 completions that were necessary for Brock Purdy.
58:33But you want – you know, people spent up on Debo.
58:37He looked fine. They didn't need him. They didn't need him.
58:40And now DeMarcus Robinson is out. Like, Debo has to be a huge part of the offense now.
58:46Yes. And Ladd McConkie, by the way, 3-for-35, was not in on every snap.
58:51Oh, was in on – Very few. Yeah. I mean, this is – Let me see.
58:56Let's look it up. Watching it, I don't know.
58:59So it looks like 46% of snaps he was in on.
59:03It felt like he was in on 5% of snaps.
59:06So how many did you say? 46%. So here's what's wild.
59:10And JJ, friend of the show, you might know him from his bowl cut.
59:14When – and we've been talking about this, but we didn't have data to back it up.
59:20When Ladd McConkie has been off the field, the Chargers have an EPA per play of minus .41, which is the second worst in all of football.
59:29When he's been on the field, that number is .12, which is the seventh best in all of football.
59:35We've been saying when Ladd is not out there, their offense looks incapable of moving the football at all.
59:41And I – look, if Brennan Thompson and Trey Harris and David Njoku and these guys are going to drop the ball, that's all it is.
59:50Ladd can catch. I think as Ladd gets healthier, this offense will hopefully figure it out, get it together.
59:56But we've talked a lot about how brutal their schedule is coming up.
60:00Yeah, they basically protected his ribs on any play that required them to run the football, put him out there when there was a chance to use him.
60:09But, you know, until he's fully healthy, it's going to be scary.
60:13This next player had the best bad game I have ever seen in my life, Terry McLaurin.
60:19He dominated this game. He had a 35-yard touchdown, called a touchdown on the field, that then was overturned, said it was out of bounds.
60:27Then he had a wide-open play in the end zone for a long touchdown that he was completely missed on.
60:34Thanks, Antonio Williams, wide receiver throwing the football. Yeah, that was Antonio Williams throwing the football.
60:39And then he had another play where he had his man beat, end-zone target, overthrown nine targets.
60:44Ended up with 50 yards. But it was, I mean, two for 50 on those nine targets where it was like, you
60:52just, every time you looked, it was like, oh, he's open.
60:55He's in the end zone. He's going to have a touchdown.
60:59No. What happens if your nine targets ends up with 27 yards?
61:03What would your name be? That sounds like DK Metcalf.
61:06That is DK Metcalf. Oh, man. And Mike, I never thought you'd get me to say this.
61:12Yeah. Uh-oh. He. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. That dude sucks. And that offense, by the way, we've seen bad offenses in the NFL.
61:19That is statistically the worst offense so far through two weeks.
61:22The Pittsburgh offense. No. Yes. Statistically? Statistically. They're worse than the Falcons?
61:26Yeah, I think EPA per play, they're worse. Whoa.
61:29Oh, Atlanta's worse. Okay. Oh, okay. Second worst. All right, that makes sense.
61:33Sorry. I just couldn't get past Atlanta. But those two are hanging out.
61:38You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. Like they're going out together.
61:42Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Rodgers is, he's like, hey, Cooper Rush, let me tell you how to play football.
61:48Also, that tackle on Rodgers, if you haven't seen it.
61:51And it's close, Jason. They are point. Oh, they're so close to being the same.
61:56Point zero two. One of them has Cooper Rush.
61:59One has Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers. And they're that close.
62:03Aaron Rodgers got hit in the back, blindsided. And he turned into the letter, like a backwards letter C.
62:09You know? I mean, it was awful. I've never heard somebody describe.
62:13I guess that's what Tyler Schuch did on the goal line.
62:16They turned him into a regular letter C. I mean, it was.
62:20His face off. It was disgusting. And he popped right back up.
62:24But he was asked after the game. I mean, you have to roster Metcalf because nine targets and ten targets.
62:31He is leading the NFL in expected, the differential between real fantasy points and expected fantasy points through two weeks.
62:37Because he sucks. And so does Rodgers at this stage.
62:41I mean, obviously, first ballot Hall of Famer, all-timer.
62:44But he does not have it. That team is going to have, they need T.J.
62:49Watt to play more positions than one. Carnell Tate.
62:52Yes, they did win the game. Yeah, yeah. No.
62:54Oh, that was last week. No. Oh, that was last week.
62:58That was against the Atlanta. That was last week against the worst offense.
63:02Yes. The only team they could beat was the team that was somehow worse.
63:07Carnell Tate just three for 27 in this game.
63:10Uh-oh. It has not gotten going for Carnell Tate.
63:13And I don't know if it can get going.
63:16I hope so. He did lead the team in target share.
63:19I believe it was 29%. Okay. Yeah. Let's wait and see.
63:23You're hoping for brighter days. Cam Ward had an okay fantasy output.
63:27He did get two rushing touchdowns. One was on a super short field.
63:31The passing work still, to me, is leaving a lot to be desired.
63:36But, I mean, some signs? Some... Like, the flat line started beeping, you know?
63:40Did it? I'm safe for Ward. I think maybe the crash cart is in the other room and they're still grabbing it.
63:47But it was flat line and I heard a beep.
63:51You heard a beep. I heard a beep. You hoped...
63:54You might have heard it upstairs. You go, beep.
63:57And you go, what? Did he move? I didn't see him move.
64:01Okay. Did he move? I heard a beep. I mean, I guess we'll give you that.
64:06Do we have a beep here? The conversation... I think the number one conversation people want to have, unfortunately, is this guy.
64:13It is Colston Loveland. Three targets, one for three.
64:16Through two weeks, he has one catch. His target share...
64:20Remember we were complaining about Burden and Adunze? Yeah.
64:22Just a second ago, it seems like. Yeah. Oh, they're doing great.
64:26Burden's target share is 21%. Rome is 13. Colston Loveland is at 9%.
64:31And this, Loveland is... This is a real... It's a complete disaster.
64:35You can't... I don't even... I don't know what you do with this.
64:39You have to bench him and look for someone else while Caleb is gone?
64:43Oh, yeah. That's probably true. You don't believe in the secret pageant man?
64:48Secret pageant man. I feel like, Mike, you were going to have to do one of the grossest things that you could
64:55possibly do, which is to play Dalton Schultz regularly.
64:58Dude, in my head... Over Colston Loveland. In my head, I was like...
65:02Would you play Dalton Schultz? Of course. Of course you would.
65:06And I couldn't say it out loud, so I'm glad Andy did.
65:10I mean, like this week coming up... Because it's true!
65:13What is happening? You have to wait. I mean, at least with Tucker Craft, right?
65:18He's in this section. The dude's coming back from a catastrophic knee injury for the first two weeks of the year in one of these games.
65:26That's the first time a team has won with under 101...
65:30That Green Bay game, they won by double digits, but they were under 200.
65:35They were underpassing yards. There's some... They were a...
65:38Oh, no, they didn't win by double digits. Kyle, find me that number because the improbability of Green Bay winning that football game was historical performance-wise.
65:46But Loveland, I mean, you can't trade him for anything close to the value you spent on him in the draft.
65:53I don't think you should. Here it is. The Packers are the first team since 1941 to win a game with less than 200 total yards.
66:02That's what it was. Total yards. 100-plus penalty yards and a negative turnover margin, and they managed to win that game against the Jets.
66:09Gross. Which I think the win started right when the head coach of the Jets, Aaron Glenn, decided to do another sideline dance of sorts.
66:18The Packers look legitimately bad so far, and it really seems like they need Josh Jacobs.
66:23Bad. We'll see. But back to Loveland, it is a hold.
66:27It is two weeks. But now you have the injury to Caleb that compounds the, like, just go back to the well.
66:34You haven't had the big play. You haven't had the touchdown.
66:37Look, we just said it. Tyler Warren has, like, very few yards on the season, but he's got two touchdowns to kind
66:45of, you know, let you get through to where he can start putting up better yardage.
66:50Do you think Caleb Williams saves the Packers, by the way, Jason?
66:54Or Caleb Johnson? Caleb Johnson, I don't think that they're going to give him enough work.
66:59He did look like their best running back. He really did.
67:03Which I, when they got around the goal line, I was like, if Caleb Johnson gets this touchdown and he's so great.
67:10Unfortunately, it was Marshawn Lloyd. I, you know, they talked about he's earned more, they're going to get him more work, but
67:17I do expect news, hopefully this week on Josh Jacobs.
67:20Seems like it'll be four to six games. And then, so I don't see Caleb Johnson's not going to be rescuing this team.
67:28Josh Jacobs is going to be rescuing this team.
67:31And Micah Parsons. Yeah, Parsons is the big one.
67:34Yeah, the targets in utilization for Loveland are just scary right now.
67:38Yeah, you have, against Philly this week with a backup quarterback, I don't imagine you could start Loveland with any kind of confidence.
67:45There'll be waiver tight ends. I mean, if you don't believe, then you want to trade.
67:51Like, trade is fine. There's no world where you can cut Colson Love.
67:55No. No, but what is, what is that trade?
67:58Like, who, would you trade him? I'm going to say it.
68:01Oh, gosh. Okay. Would you trade him for Travis Kelsey?
68:05No. I don't know. No, I still think that there's upside there later in the year.
68:10I'd trade him for Tyler Warren. No one's doing that.
68:13No, no one's doing that. That's true. I'd go for Jamar Chase.
68:17Yeah, no, I would definitely trade him for McCulley's fully roster.
68:21Would you trade him for George Kittle? Yeah. Yeah.
68:24So, I mean, the Kelsey thing's interesting because the way this offense looks right now, he's not going to be coming off the field.
68:32The concern with Travis Kelsey is the age and, like.
68:35Wearing down versus going getting better. Colston Loveland will get better over the course of the season.
68:41We just. Now the questions are fair of how good does Colston Loveland actually get?
68:45Because do we see the greatness of the playoff run or.
68:49It's still just two weeks. Or is it just completely broken?
68:53Yeah, I don't know. It's been so weird. It's not like this offense is bad for two weeks.
68:59The offense was incredible in one week. He just wasn't involved.
69:02Kyle Pitts, three targets, one for 15. So, the big controversial trade, guys.
69:06Tucker Craft, Kyle Pitts. I really upgraded. I went from one for 15 to two for 15 and a fumble.
69:13Yeah, it's dumb. That's dumb. You're playing for the championship weeks, the playoffs, which, I mean, Tucker Craft was a guy that
69:20was off my board simply because I didn't want the slow start that we assumed was coming.
69:26Did you see a snap count this past week?
69:29No. I didn't. Was it up there? Until just now.
69:32Yeah. Week one, 66%. Uh-huh. 98. Get out of here.
69:3598. Wait, really? 98. He played 98% of the snaps in week two?
69:40Yeah. Wow. That... They had fewer than 200 total yards.
69:43That team was... It was a broken week. They will...
69:46They did start the year road, road. They get to come home for three out of the next four.
69:52And boy, oh boy, they get to play Atlanta next week.
69:56We'll see what happens there. Tomorrow, a waivers episode, and it's going to be an important one.
70:02There are bigger names than last week. And there are...
70:05There's more panic in the streets on certain players than last week because you're two weeks in and your season, you know,
70:12you've got some things to fix and we're here to help you.
