Insight page

Jake Ferguson

NegativeBust35:16

0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore and Mike Wright.
0:05Hello! Welcome in! Ho ho ho. Oh brother. Ho ho ho ho ho, brother.
0:10Friday, September 18th, the Fantasy Footballers Podcast. Getting you ready for the weekend.
0:14Oh, come on. Get out of here, Jason! You're booing me?
0:17It's not fair! It's jealousy. It's disgusting. It's absolutely disgusting.
0:20Well, we didn't get... I mean, we didn't get 130...
0:24We didn't even get into the game! 113 points?
0:26Not quite, but we did get 72 points last night.
0:30You heard, I heard, and the people heard how long his intro was.
0:34How much flourish was in that introduction. He is so happy.
0:37And then of course... I am happy for the fantasy football players out there that had lions and bills that weren't named DJ Moore and Jamison Williams.
0:46The stallion is just... Did you have any, Andy?
0:49I did have some. Yeah. Which three did you have?
0:52I had Josh Allen. Oh, okay. I had Amon Ross St.
0:56Brown. Oh! A couple of toddies. And then the lowest scorer on my team.
1:00Kind of a stinker. Must be a bad player.
1:03Jameer Gibbs. Yes. So I have 103 fantasy points on Thursday.
1:06With three players. Well, I mean, look, this is not...
1:10I don't think anybody would be surprised that Josh Allen and Jamir Gibbs in Amon Ross St.
1:15Brown had a nice afternoon, evening in Buffalo at Highmark Stadium.
1:18What a game it was. Josh Allen, 248-3 with two more rushing touchdowns, 69 rushing yards, and now has nine touchdowns, zero turnovers through two weeks.
1:27I think that's an MVP start so far. Oh, it certainly is.
1:31He seems unstoppable right now. The Lions' defense seems unstoppable in a different way.
1:35Hey, they're back for us. Yes. Thank you, Detroit.
1:38Yeah, they... Sorry, Detroit fans, because that's not going to work out.
1:4241-31 Bills. Jared Goff was a spot start. He ended up with a monstrous game.
1:47He did. He had four touchdowns, 327 yards in the comeback attempt.
1:50Gibbs just 16 for 52 on the ground. They bottled him up after Montgomery scored thrice against Buffalo last week.
1:57But Gibbs had six for 61 through the air.
2:00Had a touchdown. Amon Ross has been... I mean, he's got four touchdowns through two weeks.
2:05Thirteen targets. Jameson Williams. He's... Yeah, I was going to say, Amon Ross picking up for the slack of Jameson Williams, who is...
2:12Goodness gracious, get it together, man. Two for 33 for JMO.
2:16Another drop in this one. Dalton Kincaid. Oh! Seven for 95.
2:19You saw DJ Moore go out early in this one.
2:22That was a huge bummer. I mean, everybody played DJ Moore after last week.
2:27And he dropped the ball in the end zone and ends up with an AC joint sprain.
2:32Leaves the game. Doesn't come back. He's not available this week.
2:36I'm leaning no. Right. But it could happen. And he's...
2:39It's not a broken collarbone. That was a fear.
2:42That... I mean, it seems like good news. Honestly.
2:45Like, to be like, oh, you're hurt. But when he was crumpled, we all...
2:49If you've... We've all watched football long enough to be like, uh-oh, it's a collarbone.
2:54Collarbone. And immediately you're like, okay, what's a collarbone?
2:57Six weeks? Or more. Yeah. So it... The fact that you're like, oh, maybe one game?
3:02That would be very good news. Yeah, James Cook was awesome.
3:0521 for 135 and one. Although he did have a couple of the...
3:10Like, they gave him his touchdown finally at the end of that game.
3:14But previously it was Allen a couple of times around the goal line.
3:18But he was great. And... And I don't... I don't have any stress going into the weekend anymore.
3:24I mean, this is... This is wild. Yeah, the...
3:26The Lions' defensive performance in this game, though, does...
3:29I mean, I said it this morning in our Slack channel.
3:33I was like, this helps me understand Baltimore minus eight and a half at home.
3:38Because the Lions' defense through two weeks is a sieve.
3:41And you look at what Shuck did in the second half, and it was awesome.
3:46But going to Baltimore against a different defense will be more of a challenge.
3:50I kind of get it. But this is how our...
3:53Like, this is... You need multiple weeks of data to kind of start to fill in, you know, the answers to these
4:00defenses that are good and which ones are bad.
4:03Well, they ended up... The Lions ended up with more defensive injuries, which is going to hurt them going forward.
4:10However, you also have to account for the fact that this is the Bills.
4:14Like, it's not just, oh, they're a sieve... Are the Texans?
4:18No. You know, the Texans just got walloped by the Bills.
4:21It's a both-and for sure. So, maybe it's both and the Saints and Shuck are really good.
4:26It's still... It's still really small sample, but... It's not impossible.
4:30They did give up 71 points through two weeks.
4:33And so, yeah, it is both-and. Pay attention. Try to remember all of it over the next couple of weeks.
4:39Because once you're a month into the season, I think you really could start playing matchups and understanding what, you know, where things are at.
4:47Two matchups, a little early. Yeah, this was awesome.
4:50What a game. I mean, it delivered. It delivered the magic.
4:54It did. It was awesome. And, you know, beautiful new stadium.
4:57Game was electric. It was awesome. The Lions kept it close enough to where the Bills had to keep playing.
5:03That was my worry halfway through the game. Sure.
5:06Because you had Lions players, you're like, well... Like, even them going out there and scoring on that last drive and going
5:13onside, I wasn't sure they were going to try to score on that drive.
5:18When it went into the half, it was like, oh, this game is over.
5:22There's not going to be anything from the Lions.
5:25The Lions are going to disappoint, you know, universally.
5:28I had to watch the game afterwards. I had my son's show.
5:32So I knew what was going to happen. Like, I knew the score at halftime.
5:37I knew, you know, that the Bills won. And then watching it, after knowing that, I was like, this has got good
5:44replay value because these guys are awesome. And Dalton Kincaid, genuinely, I think, is one of the biggest stories.
5:50Eight targets, seven for 95. He's getting the yardage.
5:53He's getting the targets. He's getting everything that we had hoped and dreamed.
5:57You know, it was my embarrassing... I think it was about Kincaid all offseason as, you know, hey, this guy is not
6:04dealing with these chronic injuries he's dealt with in the past.
6:07And yeah, it's two weeks. Stay healthy, Dalton. But right now, he's delivering on your promises.
6:12And there was even more. Like, the Dawson Knox touchdown was a designed play for Dalton Kincaid.
6:18No question. Josh Allen was booting out, but the defender...
6:21Wisely. Out of three... That defender had to choose between three things.
6:25And so he... He chose the right guy. Yeah.
6:28Yes, the best thing he could do was cover Dalton Kincaid and hope that the rest of his teammates could take the other two options.
6:36The other two options remained wide open. Yeah, running it in.
6:39Josh Allen has decided that he will be a benevolent king.
6:43Yeah. And he will give Dawson Knox... It was really a gracious decision.
6:47He could have just jaunted in. He had to afterwards be like, you're welcome.
6:51Yeah. You know that was my touchdown. And I...
6:54You're welcome. You're getting dinner. I've never said this before, but I was impressed with Keon Coleman throughout the game as well.
7:01Yeah. DJ Moore, if he misses time, Palmer, Coleman, Shakir, maybe it's too many mouths to feed with the tight ends.
7:08But Keon Coleman, six for 63, caught all six of his targets, broke his ankle in half and then was fine the next play.
7:16Yeah. I don't know how that happened. He went down in a heap and it was like, DJ Moore and him got hurt back to back.
7:24And then all of a sudden he was fine.
7:27And it'll be something to watch though, because that could be one of those...
7:31Swells up. The ankle sprain that you can play through at the moment, but then you miss a week.
7:37Yeah. And I'm sure our audience will not, but don't overreact to Joshua Palmer getting a touchdown in back to back weeks.
7:44This was like one giant, pretty broken play. Very broken play.
7:48It was like the DJ Moore touchdown last week.
7:51Yeah. We love you, Foot Clan. That's why every Friday we give a $100 gift card away to FantasyChamps.com to a lucky Foot Clan supporter from JoinTheFoot.com.
7:59This week's winner, Sir Flopalot. Oh man. These are always...
8:02Wait, LeBron? Oh. LeBron is watching? Jason, I had a Luka joke lined up and you went LeBron.
8:08I mean, they both... Yeah, but we hate one.
8:11They're king and queen of the flops. I would've gone Embiid.
8:15Sir Flopalot, congrats. We'll send you that $100 gift card.
8:18Thank you for supporting the show. Let's talk some NFL news.
8:21News and notes from around the league. Nice little injury update.
8:25Zay Flowers returning to practice on Friday. So... Zaymond.
8:28Zaymond? Like Raymond? Yeah. Oh man. His birth name Zaymond?
8:31Oh brother, you're throwing me for a loop now.
8:34Yeah, everybody loves Zaymond. Zaymond. Um... What? Oh crap.
8:37Throwing you for a loop as in maybe you get to play a really good player?
8:42Yeah, shut up. DJ Moore exited with the left shoulder AC joint sprain.
8:46We talked about it. I had a plan. Bengals expect Joe Burrow to play...
8:50Your plan was Devon Vele, right? Oh no, he's playing regardless.
8:54Oh, okay. Because he's a superstar. Nick Underhill said Chris Olave, hamstring left, practices of cross...
8:59You were talking about Devon Vele? Yeah, I know.
9:02Olave though, the hamstring, we need to keep an eye on that.
9:06Hamstrings are popping up right now. Joe Burrow expected to play.
9:09The back injury, hopefully he'll be fine. Dude, his back's just tight.
9:13What are you gonna do? Nico Collins is not going to play, right?
9:17Isn't that the news we got this morning? Uh...
9:20Yeah, I mean, he's not practicing today. He's not practicing today.
9:24He's got a grade one hamstring issue. I can't fathom he played.
9:27The report we got was the expectation is he'll be out.
9:31Gee... And genuinely, I know Dalton Schultz, the doctor.
9:34Yeah. Dr. Schultz is your start of the week.
9:37I don't expect him... I can't expect him to have more than 50 yards, but he might have 50 receptions.
9:43It might be on... Yes. I mean, he's going to be peppered with targets.
9:47Yeah, Xavier Hutchinson, I think, had six targets last week, and then you remove a primary target, he'd be someone...
9:54Jalen Knoll. I mean, that's the hard part is there's a bunch of different people, but...
9:59Booty. Yeah, and booty. Nico Collins did not practice on Thursday, not seen practicing on Friday.
10:04We talked about it. Jalen Coker limited on Thursday with the ankle.
10:08Michael Pittman. This one... Yeah. Not practicing on Friday, was a DNP yesterday, and is in the...
10:13He is firmly in the I'm injured doghouse for Aaron Rodgers.
10:17Yes, he is. Aaron Rodgers, if you listen to him this off-season, he talked glowingly about Roman Wilson and D.K.
10:23Metcalf and Pat Friermuth, and then was like... And then Pittman, you know, he hasn't been around.
10:29I mean, he was so clearly not happy with Pittman's unavailability due to injury.
10:33This... Was this the injury he was dealing with through...
10:36I don't remember what specific injury Pittman had. This is foot.
10:40I don't remember. Maybe Kyle does. I thought it was more soft tissue.
10:44But yeah, Kyle, if you can look up what Pittman missed a lot of the camp with...
10:49I think he might be out this week, and then you're talking to Muth might get Luth again.
10:55Yeah, I mean, we're late in the week for Pittman to be gone.
10:59And also D.K. Metcalf, who we talked about, he had one of the highest expected fantasy points.
11:05They were targeting him. They were giving him valuable targets, deep targets.
11:09It didn't work out, because as Mike would say, he sucks.
11:12What? I would never say that. But I would say that Metcalf seems like a fine play.
11:17Oh, he's a good play this week. And I mean, honestly, because there's leagues out there where people...
11:23You glossed over, but Roman Wilson, like, 16% target share last week.
11:27Aaron Rodgers seems to already trust him. It's... I've smelled stinkier trash in my day.
11:32Yeah, so Pittman was a hamstring through camp. Oh, so this is even worse for him then.
11:37It's just a new part of the leg. Yeah, I mean, that's not good, but...
11:42Is a foot part of the leg? No. No?
11:45No. That's a real... Your foot bone's connected to the leg bone.
11:49Yeah, otherwise it would just be your leg bone.
11:52Okay. All right. Good. I didn't know. No, I know you do.
11:55So your hand is not part of your arm.
11:58Yeah, that makes sense. He's just working through it.
12:01We're working through the science textbooks right now. Biology 401.
12:04Oh, very amazing. Kalen Black. This sucks. Wait, what?
12:07Kalen Black, groin injury. No! Seriously? Butterfly Stretch, my man.
12:10Let me check the website. Hold on. Let me check a couple of these websites.
12:15What? Let's see here. He is on the groinindex.com, but let me check, butterflystretch.com.
12:20Is he there as well? He is also on butterflystretch.com.
12:23Okay. Stretch it out. Oh, we got Jason's name on it.
12:26That's probably for the best. Yeah. Jason Moore. I'm just trying to teach people how to avoid those groin injuries.
12:33It's simple. Groin injury prevention. Yeah. We need to get the URL up there just for people that might not understand.
12:39Lad McConkie did not practice again on Thursday. Worked off to the side with trainers.
12:44I would not expect, when you have a rib injury, I'm not saying Lad's going to play, but what I'm saying is
12:51if he's going to play, I don't think you would have seen a different path to playing this week because a rib
12:58injury, you're not going to take hits. You're not going to go out there and take hits until game time.
13:05This is the last update we can give other than Sunday Live.
13:09Make sure you follow on YouTube and we'll be there an hour before kickoff.
13:13But I don't think that the advice could change from now until then.
13:17Let's say Lad is active. Do you play him and who do you play him over?
13:22Yeah, I would say you play an active Lad McConkie after what we saw last week.
13:27And I would say he falls pretty much right into where he would have been.
13:32Oh yeah? Yeah. I'm not going to discount it.
13:35If they think he's good enough to go out there and the medical people say, look, this is something people normally play through.
13:42I guess to me. I'm still going to. I think the PPR stuff is going to be there.
13:48To me, there are some guys out there that I would have played.
13:52Like I would have played Lad if he was healthy over Mike Evans, Parker Washington, T.
13:57Higgins. Yeah, I'd play all three of those over him.
14:01Yeah. Okay. So let's go a little deeper. Devontae Adams or Lad?
14:04I'd probably, I think Lad with the, I mean, they're heavy home favorites again.
14:09I'm going to play Lad. Okay. So that's about the.
14:12The waiver sensation Jalen Coker. He's got his own injury.
14:15He does. Definitely go Lad there. Okay. Really cool story here.
14:19Michael Pennix throwing to practice squad receivers right now while Cooper Rush takes majority of throws with starters.
14:24While they hope that Tua could somehow play. What a disaster.
14:28It's going to be Cooper Rush again. Would you play Pat Frymuth over Kyle Pitts?
14:33Yes. Probably. Yeah. Hunter Henry. I just had that thought.
14:36I just had that realization right here, right now.
14:39Don Schultz. I mean, he should be out there in most situations.
14:43Yeah. I, I, I, luckily for me, it doesn't even matter.
14:46Even if I, you're like, I'm just going to play pitch.
14:50I am. I don't need, I'm not going to make the middle.
14:53I don't need a big waiver move. Your team, when you have a hundred points from three players on Thursday night.
15:00Yeah. We get it. Maybe I won't play any.
15:03Just bench him. Bench. I'll bench. Out of respect.
15:06Yeah. Just to motivate. But for those out there struggling at the table, my process is like, I, he, of course, something
15:13crazy could happen for Kyle Pitts, but I don't care about that.
15:17I'm not playing him with Cooper. The one thing that I'll say is that the Pittsburgh defense is not the Carolina defense that gave up 59 points.
15:25So there, there's a world where I think Carolina will score against Atlanta.
15:30And I think Atlanta will be able to score even with Cooper rush against Carolina.
15:34So, I mean, I, what's the over under of that game?
15:38Do we have it? Is that only like 40, 41?
15:41That's gotta be, but they're heavy. They're three and a half point favorites.
15:45Drake London is the biggest question mark to me.
15:48I mean, Pitts is an easy, Pitts is an easy guy to swap out, right?
15:53You've got Dalton Schultz. That's fine on the waiver wires.
15:56Grab them, play them Hunter Henry, whoever, all the, all the names we've been mentioning, but Drake London's a guy that, you
16:03know, that was your second pick in a draft.
16:06And it's like Terry McLaurin, my start of the week or Drake London.
16:10Who's a way better player, more investment. Terry. Yeah.
16:13And it's very, very against Dallas. You got to do it process wise.
16:1743 and a half point over under for that game.
16:2023 to 20 is the implied point total Carolina favored.
16:23Um, there you go. Brock Bauer is not practicing again on Thursday.
16:27So he's so healthy that he's not playing. Uh, any second now, not where he's second to second.
16:33I hate to stop. You hate, I know what you're going to say.
16:37Wait, can I guess? Yeah, you can guess. You hate that right now you're hating Kubiak.
16:42Yes. I knew it because it's like, we want to love Kubiak.
16:46He's such a brilliant mind. He is doing this to us.
16:50Don't be a turd. Like you don't, you don't need to do it this way.
16:54No, not everyone. Like this isn't the standard. You could just like, I don't know.
16:59There's plenty of coaches out there that are a little more honest.
17:03Don't have to like, you know, I think about how, what a tight squeeze of information.
17:08Aaron Glenn keeps and it's like, okay. Is that, is that how you want to do things?
17:14Oh, that's why he's winning. I will remind people with all these injuries and late decisions.
17:19Mike will be live an hour before kickoff on Sunday on YouTube, youtube.com slash the fantasy footballers for Sunday live.
17:25Come and submit your questions. You know, there were thousands of you on there last week.
17:30It was super fun. Definitely check that out. We'll take a break.
17:34We'll jump into the forecast. Fantasy forecast presented by prize picks.
17:38Can I, can I like talk a little bit about my mindset with my super team for a second?
17:44Cause I want to just deal with it. Can you mute him?
17:47Like we've done this show. No, this is not bragging or anything like that.
17:52We may cut you off at any moment. That's fine.
17:55Uh, what I'm keep it clean. We've done this show for so long.
17:59We've played fantasy for 20 plus years. I'm saying this is like a different, like, I didn't think there was something I
18:06haven't seen before, but with, I've never had a team that looks this good on paper and should be good, but it's a 17 week season.
18:15So I don't even know how to feel about them playing well now because there's injuries and there's things that just go to sleep.
18:22Don't worry about it. You think I'll be fine?
18:25I think you should just do nothing. Just rest on your walls.
18:29I'm so used to being a neurotic trader. No, and I don't need to.
18:33I sent like 12 trades out this morning and deleted them all.
18:37You should probably do that. I did. I sent a bunch out cause I don't know what else to do.
18:44I normally wake up on Monday and trade. So trade.
18:47Yeah. Trade away. Well, I tried. People turned down my deals.
18:50No matter what you do. It won't matter. It feels like it right now.
18:55Yesterday, we talked through the Panthers Falcons game. We just mentioned the Vikings, Bears, Eagles, Titans, Steelers, Patriots, Packers, Jets, Browns, Buccaneers, Saints, Ravens, Bengals, Texans.
19:03That's how we, that's what we covered yesterday. Seven more matchups today, starting with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who look great in week one.
19:10One and oh against the Denver Broncos, who continue their gauntlet of a schedule to start the year.
19:16Broncos own one Vegas line, Denver minus two and a half at home over unders 45 and a half in this one.
19:23Jags won 34 to 10. Chiefs beat the Broncos 31 to 10.
19:27So bounce back. Do we expect it? I mean, the tackling by the Broncos was some of the worst statistically in history
19:34and so frustrating, the worst I've seen with my eyeballs.
19:37It was insane. Um, they looked pitiful, but they are well coached and a good team and should bounce back and they're at home and they're favored.
19:46So how much do you, uh, expect to see the bounce back and where does that translate in terms of fantasy?
19:52Like we've had our week one high draft picks that have failed the Colston Loveland's of the world waddles in that category.
20:00Yeah. He seems like the biggest question mark to me on this team right now is like, do you have the same like Loveland?
20:07You have no qualms. I have none. Throw him right back out there.
20:11Let's go. Do you feel the same about Waddle?
20:14Uh, not as strong as Loveland, but I'm letting more than one game happen.
20:19The guy with the brand new team, it was definitely a bummer.
20:22But I mean, he's, they, they brought him in for a reason.
20:26And I don't think that the, the, while the Jags were awesome against the Browns is the Browns.
20:32Like I want to see their defense against not Deshaun Watson, uh, before I start really formulating that opinion.
20:38So I'm Waddle is right back into the lineup for me.
20:42Uh, just for, you know, Sutton, who is seemingly like the least popular player that could exist because Pat Bryant's sexy and exciting and Waddle's the new arrival.
20:51Uh, he led the team in snaps at wide receiver.
20:54Cortland Sutton had more than Waddle. He had more than Pat Bryant.
20:58Um, I just, just noticed that he also had a target share that just trailed Pat Bryant.
21:03So I don't think the team looks at Sutton.
21:06I don't think they look at it as a, uh, it's, it's this guy or that guy, right?
21:12It's, it's everybody, one big group. That's been a problem before with Mims and Franklin and guys getting involved in the expected Sutton to do it.
21:20So this will be a week to me where if Jalen Waddle doesn't have eight targets, I will start being really worried
21:27that it will not necessarily be a, a one a alpha that we're expecting.
21:31Like we expected with the draft capital, they gave up to get them the money.
21:36Like they're saying, Hey, he's our, he's our Drake London.
21:39He's our JSN. He's our, our leader of the wide receiver room and the target share needs to go through him.
21:46This matchup is very different than the Kansas city chiefs.
21:49I mean, we don't know what the Jags defense is because they played the Browns week one.
21:55But if you look at last year, they were pretty doggone good against the run most of the year.
22:01And they were just an average team against the past.
22:04So this is an average NFL matchup. There's a team that should be able to score on the Broncos, uh, because they're,
22:11they're a good defense that that could get in the way of wide receivers.
22:15So to me, this matchup is like the perfect recipe for your average game where you can pass the ball.
22:22Does Jalen Waddle get eight plus targets? Is he like the, the, the one for the offense or is he one of the pieces in the offense?
22:30Are you, are you playing Parker Washington on the other side over him?
22:35Yeah. So yeah, I mean, 45 and a half point over under it's not, you know, it's fine.
22:40It's good. It, it makes me wonder, you know, RJ Harvey, he had 51% of the snaps at running back.
22:47He is questionable right now. He's dealing with the, you, who, that'd be a hamstring.
22:52Yeah. When you put it like that though, it sounds like something else.
22:56Um, if he's out, we might finally see Jonah Coleman on the field.
23:00It's true. And I think that's exciting. Uh, I don't think that there's a world you can start him.
23:06I'm not even sure if you can start JK Dobbins this week.
23:10Like I said, this is, um, a team that last year was very good against the run.
23:15You can start. I guess with RJ Harvey out, if he's out Dobbins is okay, but I'm not bullish on him.
23:22Really? Yeah. I would think that Dobbins will get more.
23:25Well, I'm pretty interested in Dobbins. If Harvey misses though, this is, that's the window that Jonah Coleman needs.
23:31And like, cause Jonah Coleman has to get on field, get some tape, start earning the trust.
23:37Like he has been kind of the biggest concern for, for the success of Dobbins.
23:41If the, if an injury like this happens to Harvey, I don't think once the genie's out for Jonah Coleman, uh, that
23:48I think that's what ends up happening. But for this week, Dobbins will be in my starting lineup.
23:54I like Bayshall tootin a lot this week. Although there was a report this morning that LaQuint Allen is going to get more and more third down snaps.
24:03According to Liam Cohen. That's fine. So we'll see what happens there.
24:07Parker Washington is a star. Brian Thomas jr. To me is a must bench this week.
24:12I would not mess around with the shoulder injury.
24:15He got knocked out early last week. Yeah. I agree.
24:18A good defense. I think you can find another option out there.
24:22Like they lay, but he can, he's the, like, they, like seems to be the litmus test of like the spot start this week.
24:29He does. But I mean, Pat Bryant on the other side, would you play him over Ryan Thomas jr.
24:36Yes, I would. Okay. Pat Bryant looks like he's in the, you know, like Troy Franklin.
24:41Jason. Hey, it's Franklin. Yeah. I mean, if you want to go ahead and hit that.
24:46Sometimes you do it for the last time. Yeah.
24:49Sometimes you know it's getting retired. But I frankly, it's role in that offense last year, he got a ton of targets.
24:56And it's like, I think that's Pat Bryant's job now where even if Cortland Sutton's in there, you know, running on the
25:03field more, Pat Bryant's going to get more targets.
25:06Uh, and then just for Basial tootin tootin is a tackle breaking machine.
25:10Like this is part of what he does. Kenneth Walker tackle breaking machine.
25:14I mean, the fan of the, the fantasy algebra doesn't always work out, but make Denver prove they can tackle you.
25:21And if you're good at it, even when people do tackle well.
25:24Yeah, that's a good point. Trevor Lawrence. I think, um, it's not the best start matchup wise on the road in Denver,
25:31but I, I imagine if you started him last week and got two 45 and four, you're going to roll him right
25:38back out there and trust Liam Cohen. And then Bo Nix, I'd find someone else to, uh, to kind of lead my
25:45team until he proves that he can get it going.
25:49Uh, by the way, a quick update for you since we covered the game yesterday, uh, I'll, I'll tackle this real quick.
25:56A further update on Zaymond flowers. Um, he did return to practice, but did very little during the media viewing portion, spoke
26:03to teammates and coaches, did not do any running during media viewing at all.
26:07So the full practice or back at practice thing, will he be limited on the official report?
26:13We have an injury blitz podcast that comes out Friday afternoon by Kyle or, uh, by Matthew Betts.
26:18Yeah. I almost said Kyle Betts, which they kind of merged, although you are, that would imply an amount of, uh, technological
26:25advancement to Matthew Betts that he doesn't possess, but Kyle's just screamed.
26:29Do not do not combine them. Uh, but there he goes a flower still very much in question.
26:35Mike, your plans now since you had, since you, since you had, you had plans to like not have flowers and you
26:42were so bummed when flowers was available. Well, but he's not available.
26:46Well, you should be happy. This is worst case scenario.
26:49Is it? Yes. Oh darn. The year of mine, uh, Las Vegas, Los Angeles.
26:53Yeah. I did like when you're like, I've, I've, I've never seen this with my team.
26:58Super duper champ over here. Oh, dear. You know, there's a big difference in what I was talking about.
27:05You ended. I just want to be in the playoffs.
27:08You didn't go into the season. Like you had, Josh was at a better record than you last year.
27:14Yes. That's all I'm saying. Like, I, I think it's a, it's a heavy burden to bear.
27:19I don't know. I don't know why Josh is catching strays over there.
27:23Catching strays by having the best record and then losing.
27:27Ah, when you just gave him the stray, it was implied.
27:30Mike is all over the place. The Raiders want to know against the Chargers.
27:35Oh, and one. Of course, Vegas line chargers minus six and a half over runners, 43 and a half.
27:41What I saw what, no, I know I already hit the button once, but what I saw on tape last week from the Raiders defense in particular.
27:49And the Chargers offensive line against the Cardinals brings me great concerns here.
27:53There are three things that have happened in the last few days.
27:57One is the Chargers are favored by almost a touchdown.
28:00So it's like, okay, the complete forgiveness. The Chargers are going to be totally fine.
28:05Then there is the, uh, we, we were looking at MVP odds after the game last night for quarterback.
28:11And right there last on the list, you could still, you could still bet on Justin Herbert.
28:17And it's like, brother, Oh, you're just, and then we were doing our, our, they know we were doing, no, they could
28:24just all the her bros are like, yeah, fine.
28:27Give me your money. We were doing the picks Dumbo.
28:30We were like, we, every, every week we have like a fun little, no money, just a pool where we're picking the lines every week.
28:38And I come to this matchup and I'm like, what do I click?
28:42Six and a half. And I was like, Oh, I'm, you know what?
28:46I'm going to click on the Chargers. I'm going to completely forgive them.
28:50And I mentioned that. And then Mike's like, I kind of am too, but it's like, it feels like we know it's a trap.
28:58We are this week against the Raiders at home, dude.
29:01I'm going to Chargers Herbert. You have got to get it together and send a message.
29:06If you don't win this game, I'm about to tell you the story of stories.
29:11You ready? Yeah. If you don't win this game at home against Las Vegas, because by the way, the Cardinals were supposed to be the easy one.
29:20And this one too. Let me tell you what they're doing next.
29:23Oh, their schedule. Yeah. Just listen. Just watch the plane fly around the country here.
29:28You ready? Week three at Buffalo. Oh, but don't worry, Jason week four.
29:32You want to get back on track. You just started off with a tough start at Seattle.
29:38Okay. Wait, what? But don't worry. Don't worry. Then you play Denver, Kansas City, the Rams, Houston, Baltimore the next week.
29:44What? I'm not joking. What? Buffalo, Seattle, Denver, Kansas City, the Rams, Houston.
29:49Four of them on the road. You got in Los Angeles against the Rams.
29:53They'll be back in this building. Sunday, Sunday. You have two days to figure everything out because that's it.
29:59You got two days left to fix it all.
30:02So, yeah, this is completely the most important game of their season right now because you are staring down bi-week winlessness potentially.
30:09You could be 0-6 going into the pie. It's not impossible.
30:13Holy moly. After this week, three of your four games are at Buffalo, at Seattle, at Kansas City.
30:18You have to imagine they are decent underdogs in all three of those.
30:22Yes. Yes. Wow. So, yeah, Mike McDaniel, he said it was a case of humble pie and losing to the Cardinals.
30:29Yeah, it tasted. How dare you? Humble pie tastes terrible.
30:32How dare you? All right. Start sitting decisions in this one.
30:36You know, the Hampton thing. I think last week it's like, what are you watching?
30:41This week, what are you looking for confirmation on or continuing to keep an eye on to see what your decisions are?
30:48You know, Hampton this week, that's where my eyes are.
30:51I want to see this guy play well. There has been some talk in the past, you know, three or four days
30:58about the scheme fit not necessarily being right. Um, Lad McConkie, the injury, him not out there.
31:03They looked way worse on offense without him out there.
31:06Mike, you're throwing your hat in with Quentin Johnston this week.
31:10Yeah. I mean, understand what it is, but yeah, I think you can play him.
31:15Yeah. And then, uh, other than, you know, Herbert, you going back to him this week or are you trying to pivot?
31:22I'm going back the, you know, just like the, the, we were saying about Jacksonville playing the Browns Raiders played Miami who Miami's.
31:29Miami's probably going to end up being the worst team in the NFL.
31:33So let's see some more from, from the Raiders and until, until they give me a reason to really believe and not
31:40target them, then I'm going to do it. So I'll play Herbert.
31:44Yeah. Jinty was great in week one, got the ball a lot in the receiving game.
31:49You can play him. Bauer's probably not playing. You probably have better options than Michael mayor, although he led the team in targets last week.
31:57So he's not the worst. I don't think it's complicated on the Raiders side in terms of starts.
32:03Correct. I mean, you're not playing a wide out on the road, six point underdogs.
32:08You're not playing cousins. You're not playing, probably not playing a tight end.
32:12So, you know, Jack bashes on pace for 17 touchdowns.
32:15Thank you. Thank you for that. The Washington commanders.
32:18Oh, and one taking on the Dallas Cowboys who were oh, and one Vegas line Dallas minus three and a half at
32:25home over under 50 and a half. As Kyle would call it the backwards hat versus the visor.
32:31That's right. Yeah. You've got Dan Quinn with the backwards cap.
32:34Looks so cool. And then the visor on Schottenheimer.
32:37You know, the idea of visors is very funny.
32:40Because you're like, you're not going to cover the head.
32:43Yeah. You're like, I want to shave the eyes, but it's, it's, it's like, I want to shave the eyes.
32:50It's a little too warm on the top of the dome.
32:53How do we possibly fix this? Maybe it's you don't want hat hair.
32:57But you know, you still get it. You get visor hair, man.
33:01Yeah. The worst part of hat hair is the front when everything is, is, is divoted to the back.
33:07Yeah. It's a forced, uh, you know, front. Cowlick.
33:10Cowlick. Yeah. Um, all right. Starts to decisions in this one.
33:13Dak. Jaden Daniels. I think they're both in your lineup, right?
33:17Dak has got a deck is the highest projection of the week on price picks with 266 and a half yards.
33:24Yeah. I think I would agree with this. I mean, these were, these were two of the worst defenses in football last year.
33:31And, uh, you know, the, the commanders definitely didn't get blown out in week one against Philly.
33:36I think they looked okay, especially stopping Saquon. But yeah, you're, you're starting all your, your stars in this one.
33:43JCM Mike. Yep. Your start of the week, Jason, you're going to give Terry McLaurin a pat on the butt and say,
33:50Hey, this is your week against Dallas. 50 and a half.
33:53Yeah. He should be, he should be absolutely fine.
33:56I think that means that digs should be fine.
33:59And I think, oh yes. Antonio Williams is interesting to keep an eye on.
34:04There was a, um, can't credit it. I apologize.
34:06But before the season started, you know, it was, I don't necessarily think it was like a bold take, but it was
34:13a, like, these are things that I, that are, that a little spicier, but we truly think can happen out of Washington.
34:20They're like, digs is probably going to lead this team in receptions and yards and stuff just based off of what he does versus Terry McLaurin.
34:29So is digs the safer play between digs and McLaurin?
34:32Oh, I think it is. Higher upside. So would you start digs or veille?
34:36Uh, I got both. Mike has both. He probably, he's probably starting both.
34:41I, I will be starting both, but if in the, if you had to pick one, I'll play digs.
34:47Me too. Yeah. I would definitely play digs. I would play digs over McLaurin for sure.
34:52In any situation, man. But so, but that's also, you know, it feels hot.
34:56Yeah. I don't know, man. I, I'm very interested in what this offense is going to turn into with these three guys.
35:03Dallas is always easy. Yeah. I mean, the other one that's going to be a good one.
35:09You know what I'm going to do with this.
35:12That's the only one that's difficult for some people out there is Jake Ferguson.
35:16He's a name that people think, oh, should I start him?
35:19And probably not. It probably not. He's still running tons of routes, so you might get a...
35:25It's a great matchup. The commanders have been bad against the tight end position, so there's that going for you, but no.
35:32He hasn't hit double-digit fantasy points since week seven of last year.
35:36When George and CeeDee are available, Fergie takes a backseat.
35:39Seattle's 1-0, Jason, taking on the Arizona Cardinals, who are also 1-0, pretty much the same as the champs.
35:45As everybody saw coming. Vegas line, Seattle minus 3.5 on the road.
35:49The over-under is 40.5. This is the second lowest total of week two, and it makes sense because it's part one, backup quarterback Drew Locke.
35:57Part two, great defense against Arizona. Should be able to slow them down.
36:01Could the Cardinals start 2-0? Seems that it is in the realm of possibility.
36:05Yeah, because they are 1-0. Right. Yeah, yeah, the math check's out there.
36:10I was with you last week of the almost upset because the spread was just – 10.5 was too much.
36:16That's too egregious against a team that has a potent offense.
36:19This one, though, the Seattle defense is just so elite that it would surprise me.
36:24A lot. Well, then does that impact your start decisions for Arizona?
36:28Because, you know, Jeremiah Love, is he a lock in your lineup?
36:32It's brutal. Look, the prize picks projections on both Jeremiah Love and Algier are pretty much neck and neck when it comes to rushing yards.
36:40It's 37.5 for Love, 36.5 for Tyler Algier. Those are not high numbers.
36:44No, they are. For Jeremiah Love, the nice thing was – I mean, they gave him the carry inside the five.
36:51I think they were inside the five when he got the touchdown.
36:55Whatever. They were very close. And the targets are going to go to Jeremiah Love, but this will be a pretty split backfield.
37:02I think you're flipping a coin like week to week right now the way things are between who's more valuable, Algier or Jeremiah Love, which feels disgusting.
37:11Cardinals at home. Jadarian Price had 48% of snaps.
37:13Would you play Price over either Cardinal in this matchup?
37:17Oh, man. That is so brutal. I mean, Hampton got slowed down last week by Arizona, I mean, very surprisingly.
37:23It really seems like you right now can expect kind of 50%-ish of the snaps for Price.
37:28The matchup is still significantly better. I know – You get the green, though.
37:33I mean, the Walter Nolan addition for the Cardinals versus what – they didn't have him for a lot of last year.
37:40I think that's making a difference on the interior.
37:43So, Andy, where's your confidence with Price in terms of the goal line?
37:47Not high. That's like – No, I mean, but it's not high for Love either.
37:52Yeah, I mean, I think one guy has a salami problem and one guy's got an Algier problem.
37:57But I think Jeremiah Love is the better player, and that's the player I would go.
38:03That's how I have him. I was looking at my rankings.
38:06I have him 24 and 25. Love ahead of Price.
38:09Who hasn't had a salami problem at some point in time?
38:13I mean, yeah, who amongst us? Who amongst us?
38:16Jackson Smith and Jigba, yep. Michael Wilson, Marvin Harrison.
38:19You got one of these guys. You got to play a Cardinal receiver.
38:23Throw Kendrick Bourne in the mix. Which guy do you start?
38:26Michael Wilson. Yeah, see, that was very definitive. Because – And it wasn't before week one, and that says something.
38:33When you – Marv? Marv is a player. I'm not dropping Marv.
38:36Not yet. But the he is definitely one where it's like I have to see it happen before I have any level of confidence.
38:44So here's the weird thing. So Seattle, right favored, Super Bowl champs, great defense.
38:49Is JSN the only player you're playing on this team this week?
38:52Yeah, pretty much. I mean, are you trying to find an alternate to Jadarian Price?
38:57No, I think he's a fine running back too.
39:00Yeah, I've got him at running back 24, so he's – or 25, so he's playable.
39:05But I don't – I'm not excited about Price.
39:08I mean, genuinely, I'm not excited about most players in this game.
39:12You talked about it at the beginning. It's one of the lowest over-unders on the week.
39:17Obviously, JSN is great because of his talent and also because his target market share is outrageously otherworldly.
39:23He's just the whole offense. Trey McBride, JSN, those are the only two people I really want to start in this game.
39:30Marvin Harrison, where are you right now after one week?
39:33He ran go routes. He was bracketed. He looked okay.
39:36Going back and watching the film – Was it a drop?
39:40Obviously, he had a drop. It was a pretty okay drop.
39:43I re-watched that. That was not an easy catch.
39:46That was a blast across the middle, way behind him.
39:49I'm not sure he could have caught it. Yeah, depending on – it was much – a different angle made it look much more difficult.
39:57I think Marvin Harrison will be involved. He was open on a lot of routes.
40:02And the thing is, is he wasn't necessarily targeted, but the plays still worked.
40:06I mean, you had Kendrick Bourne with eight catches, Michael Wilson with five.
40:11The offense was humming. But I don't think Harrison did anything bad.
40:14I don't – you know, I believe that in certain weeks he's going to be fine.
40:19This isn't the matchup I want to be like, I'm going to call my shot on Marv.
40:25I think Marv is involved. I think Marv will get, you know, more than 35 yards.
40:30But I don't sit there and see he's going to have 102 touchdowns.
40:34Ad break coming up. We'll get into the Dolphins in 49er game.
40:38By the way, play Trey McBride if you weren't planning on it.
40:42Please do that. Play him. He's pretty good at football.
40:45And so far, pass rate above expectation. Like Arizona, Jacoby Brissett.
40:48Yeah, it was still high. The drum continues to beat for that offense.
40:53They look good in week one. It would be a huge win against Seattle in week two.
40:58And it'll probably be more of a dogfight, I think, this week.
41:02The Miami Dolphins. Oh, boy. 0-1 with a rough week one.
41:05Go to San Francisco. 0-2. Yeah, I mean, this one is wild.
41:09San Francisco – it's not 13 1⁄2 anymore. It's San Francisco minus 12 1⁄2.
41:14The over-under is 44 1⁄2. Cowards. I am shocked that the line moved that direction, Cowards.
41:19So that's an implied point total for the Dolphins of 16.
41:22And that's a bad number. 28 for the 49ers.
41:25So in the Brock Purdy era where 49ers teams have been favored by 10 or more points.
41:31It's happened nine times. They were 9-1, and they scored more than 27 points in all nine games.
41:36They deliver when heavily favored. And it's a hard bet to say Miami is going to deliver.
41:42We are gathering information on these rookie wideouts, I think, for Miami that, you know, Caleb Douglas looked amazing in week one.
41:4994 receiving yards in your debut. That is the third highest debut for a day-two wide receiver over the last decade.
41:56Chris Bell, only 52% of snaps in week one.
41:58Two targets, one drop, one catch. And then Malik Washington still had a number of targets in this game.
42:04Didn't see a lot from Dulcich. That was something we were watching in week one.
42:09Yeah, it was. But they're probably going to be playing from behind.
42:13You're looking at your value for A-Chan to be coming in the receiving game or the big play.
42:19So, it's hard to have much of an expectation.
42:22You don't bench Devon A-Chan, but the other guys in this matchup, you're not wanting to play any of them.
42:28Yeah, the only one that I might put out there in that veille tier would be Caleb Douglas.
42:34You know, if you're getting as much work as he got in his first week as a rookie, you're going to be
42:41down and you're going to be throwing the ball a lot.
42:44I expect targets to go to him. With 16 implied points, you don't assume that he's going to have a lot of huge fantasy success.
42:52So, he's like just a PPR floor play. That would be the second player on this offense outside of A-Chan.
42:59I guess Malik Willis in certain situations because of his rushing upside would be there.
43:03But yeah, I mean, you just don't want Dolphins.
43:06The team stinks. You want some 49ers? Yes, please.
43:09By the way, Malik in that stinky week one still ended up as the quarterback 13 on the week.
43:15And he looked bad, in my opinion. I don't think he played well.
43:19Which is, you can make the argument like, oh, that's good news.
43:23I mostly agree with you. Because he can, you know, he can figure it out, get more.
43:29He's working with... 220 passing yards, 39 rushing yards.
43:32Well, I just mean like his accuracy. I felt like there were a lot of bad throws.
43:37But at the same time, he's dealing with two rookies playing a ton of snaps that one of which he didn't really play with through camp.
43:45So, could be brighter days. I mean, to your point of like Malik Washington led the team in target share.
43:52Yep. And air yards. And Caleb Douglas was the talking point because he's the one who actually got the production.
43:58It was like Malik Washington should have had the production.
44:01But Willis didn't get it to him. Brock Purdy is my start of the week.
44:06Christian McCaffrey, yes please. Caleb Black with the injury report.
44:09Will they bring somebody else up? Will he be okay?
44:12We'll see. He was 43% of snaps and 15 opportunities last week.
44:16Would imagine Jordan James is not a healthy scratch if Caleb Black can't play.
44:21But would also imagine Christian McCaffrey is just going to get all the work.
44:25I would think so. I've had Jordan James on my dynasty team for three years.
44:30Or two years. However long he's been in the league.
44:33I dropped in this week with Caleb Black's emergence.
44:36And I just needed to pick somebody else up.
44:39It's just ironic. It's just one of those things where I think it's going to be okay.
44:44It doesn't matter. Yeah. It doesn't matter. Mike Evans.
44:47You play him. Debo. I think you're good there too.
44:50I think both these guys. Spot start to Marcus Robinson.
44:54If you're desperate. I mean two catches last week after the departure of Stribling.
44:58You're looking for the touchdown with Robinson. And George Kittle.
45:01Limited practices. You're going to see more of that.
45:04Only played 46% of snaps. But now Tondes basketball is out for the year.
45:09Jake Tondes not an alternative option for this team.
45:11To me. Showed me enough to where I'm really excited for the second half of the year.
45:17And also absolutely not starting him now. So he is just a roster.
45:21Shulks. Yeah. All those. John Johnson. Yep. Goddard. All those guys.
45:25All those guys. I'd start over. Kyle Pitts or Kittle?
45:28Who's the quarterback? It's going to be Cooper Rush.
45:31Then Kittle. Because he could get a touchdown. Harold Fannin or George Kittle.
45:35Oh, that's a good one. Disgusting. Fannin. Yeah. I'd go Fannin.
45:38Colts. Sunday Night Football taking on the Chiefs. We get more primetime.
45:42Ken. Bone. Walker. Chiefs minus six and a half over under 46 and a half.
45:47Good work. Schedule people. Honestly, the schedule people. All need to relish in his greatness.
45:52These first two weeks schedule people are kicking butt.
45:55I mean, these primetime games are fantastic. Read the Eric Biennemi quote.
45:58Yeah, I will. This is for Mike, but it's also for everyone else out there who drafted Kenneth Walker.
46:04Eric Biennemi, who Mike brought up all offseason as one of the reasons he loves Ken Walker in Kansas City.
46:11I hadn't seen this. You haven't seen this quote?
46:14Oh. He says, quote. You want to read it?
46:17Yeah. Why don't you read it? Sure. He says, quote.
46:20Ideally, what did he have? 23 carries? Some people have carried a whole lot more than that.
46:25So I don't think you want to put a limit on anything.
46:29I think sky is the limit. Oh, brother. This is delightful.
46:32I mean, it's why he went to Kansas City.
46:35My bone, bro. Yeah. Oh, another. Woo. Yeah. I don't like being Eiffel Tower.
46:40I need to get Kenneth Walker in one of these leagues so I can join in.
46:45Good luck with that. I know. It's over. I can't.
46:48I told you to draft him. I mean, look.
46:51Barring injury, which is the story of all players.
46:54You know, Christian McCaffrey and all these guys. He's going to be so good every week.
46:59Running back. Defense and run the football. Early on in the year for fantasy football, you want to see utilization.
47:05How are they using players? Kenneth Walker is going to be everything.
47:09Maybe he can't. You know, all the. What sucks about this situation is like.
47:14The people that if Kenneth Walker gets hurt, which he probably will because he's playing NFL football.
47:19He's most likely going to get hurt because running best get hurt.
47:23Goodness gracious. The victory lap on Kenneth Walker missing a game or two is going to be so obnoxious.
47:29You're like, I told you. Yeah, he plays football.
47:32He's probably going to get hurt. 24% of top 24 running backs over the last 10 years play in a complete season.
47:39So you have a three quarter chance, you know, 75% chance that you're going to miss a game.
47:45Rashi Rice guys two for 19 last week. Troubling was terrible.
47:48If you look at the separation scores in week one in terms of being able to, you know, get apart from the DB.
47:55I think you're going to play him in this game.
47:59I don't think you don't play Rashi Rice, but you are your tempered expectations.
48:03Probably. Absolutely. I think if you have Rashi Rice, you are praying for a touchdown and then you are trying to ship
48:10him out of town as soon as humanly possible.
48:13The utilization and I know he's coming back from the knee injury.
48:17Maybe it'll completely change. But I think this is an Eric Biennemi and Kenneth Walker change of offense where Rashi Rice isn't just.
48:24Hey, I'm going to target you pretty much every other passing play.
48:28They had no one else. Yeah. Like you can you can actually throw the ball to Kenneth Walker.
48:34I think as funny as it is, I think there's a world where Cyrus Allen is getting more and more and more
48:41snaps over the back towards the back half of the year.
48:44They've talked about bringing him along really slowly. What I saw from the wide receiver room in week one was we need to get a possession receiver.
48:53Yeah, they can go out there and run a 15 yard in or something and catch the football.
48:59That's not Thornton. That's not Rice. It's probably not Kelsey anymore.
49:02I'm not telling you to go pick him up.
49:05I think this is just deep league, crazy deep league dynasty leagues.
49:09But if I'm the Chiefs, I'm like, I need to get a wide receiver on this team.
49:14And there have been rumors that are turning into like things I think are going to happen that Tyreek Hill will join
49:21this team by the midpoint of the season. I had not heard that.
49:25Yeah, he said. So there have been some stuff going out there.
49:29A reunion is possible. And if this team is cooking halfway through the year, I've seen Tyreek running now and breaking.
49:36Our dynasty team. You still got Tyreek? Yeah. Oh, my gosh.
49:39Jonathan Taylor. This is going to be a hard matchup.
49:43But you never sit him. So just play him because one play is all it takes.
49:48Alec Pierce practicing on Friday. So they gave him some time off.
49:52But that's good to see. Keenan Allen and Josh Downs.
49:55I'm afraid these guys are going to kind of cannibalize each other throughout the year when you also have to mix in Tyler Warren.
50:02That one was wild. And Warren, by the way, horrible week saved by the touchdown.
50:07I mean, three for 13 on 93% of snaps was disappointing to me, too.
50:12Keenan Allen, the Keenan Allen-Josh Downs situation of Josh Downs being out there for such a high percentage of dropbacks and routes for the Colts.
50:20And yet Keenan Allen leading the target share. It will be something to watch.
50:24Yeah. Are you playing Alec Pierce? Or, you know, where are you with him?
50:29This is a tough matchup. I'm willing to play Pierce.
50:32But it's more of his, like, hopefully a wide receiver three.
50:35I think he's a great trade-for target right now as he gets back into full snap counts.
50:41When you get half snaps and, you know, he's supposed to be their dude.
50:45And so he's coming off an injury. Didn't get a lot of practice.
50:49Didn't get training camp. Played 59% of snaps. Was still four for 61.
50:54I mean, like. Right. I mean, that's the name of the game for him.
50:5815 points to a carry or a catch again.
51:01Like, that's a target for me. Are you not worried?
51:04I mean, I can totally see him being a target for the second half of the season.
51:09But as far as this week in a tough matchup, are you not worried about the fact he didn't practice on Thursday, I believe?
51:17Correct. That just seems. Yeah, that's what I brought up.
51:20That seems bad. That's bad if you practice on Wednesday and you don't practice on Thursday.
51:25That's why I was asking Mike if he liked it because it's a bad matchup.
51:30I would not be comfortable starting Alec Pierce. Those other guys.
51:34No, I just want to trade for him now.
51:37That we've got in that Velae tier, I would throw those guys in personally.
51:41You guys want to watch a Monday night game?
51:44The game, Giants, Jackson Darton Company, Cam Scadaboo go to L.A.
51:47and take on the Rams who looked pretty bad in week one.
51:51They looked quite tired. They looked tired, but they also have missing personnel.
51:55Maybe Aaron Donald comes back this week. Maybe he doesn't.
51:59But Miles Garrett's going to be gone. And in week one, they gave up 40 points to wide receivers.
52:05That's not great. We'll see what happens in this one because the Giants look great in week one.
52:10Los Angeles minus seven. The world expecting them to bounce back over under 48 points.
52:15It gives the Rams 28. The Giants 20. So you expect full bounce back for the Rams in this one on the offensive side?
52:23Puka, Adams, Kyron, Corum, Stafford. Yeah, I mean we left Australia saying we're throwing the game away.
52:28Yes. And it's hard to do that because we just saw them be like not show up to a game.
52:35But I do think that that is the mentality.
52:38The most difficult one for me is Devontae Adams because there was a world where at his age he comes in and has lost it.
52:46There's also the issue of utilization versus performance where he wasn't utilized inside the 10.
52:50He wasn't on the field inside the 10, which was and is his superpower.
52:55So he scares me a little bit. I'm still starting him.
52:58You think that's prescriptive of this team? I don't.
53:01I don't think that. They did real good when they utilized him.
53:05Yes. I feel like that was an anomaly. I believe changes will come.
53:09But he's the only player that what I saw in week one from the Rams scares me that it might be prescriptive.
53:16Yeah. The other guys. Just because of the age component.
53:19That you're just like. The age and the weird like why would they.
53:23I mean I think they'll fix the. Still 22% of the targets.
53:27Inside the 10 stuff. Yeah. I would go back to him.
53:31Elite neighbors. I mean 6 for 69 coming back from a serious injury.
53:35When like two hours before the game he was not sure he could go and play.
53:40Isaiah likely. He's back baby. Yeah. I mean Isaiah likely.
53:43Cam Scadaboo. Dart. I mean it's a pretty. It's a pretty clean four pack there I think.
53:49Dart. Scadaboo. Neighbors. Likely. Keep your eyes on Malachi Fields because I just.
53:53I like the dude. I think he's a good player.
53:56But I'm not starting him. The. I would. The.
53:59The Cam Scadaboo. Route share will be. Something to pay attention to.
54:03Because we. You know. He's just coming back from his injury.
54:06So maybe they. Were trying to. You know. Lesson that for him.
54:10Where Devin Singletary was kind of the. The receiving back for the team.
54:14But. Yeah. But that was. And it stunk. It really.
54:17It really stunk that they didn't throw him. He's such a good pass catcher.
54:22But it's saying like. This is a. This is the new regime.
54:26Yeah. Where you can't just copy paste. Last year's.
54:29Receiving work. To the new. To the new play caller.
54:32Yeah. It's. The play caller is the issue. I don't think it's the health.
54:36I don't think it's coming back off the injury.
54:39Because they gave him tons of work. They. They.
54:42They did not seem like they were rusting him.
54:45Or. Or giving him low snaps. It seemed like.
54:48On passing downs. He wasn't the back they were utilizing.
54:51Hopefully that changes. It could have been a situation where.
54:54It was Tyrone. Tracy who was really the guy they wanted.
54:58To be that. And then he. Took himself out of the game.
55:01And then they're like. Okay. Well. The other pack.
55:04And maybe this. He's having a bad month. He's having a.
55:08Yeah. Bad year. So. Hopefully. Hopefully. Scadaboo gets more involved.
55:11I do think. Obviously. You've got. Miles Garrett. On the IR.
55:15Right now. It looks like. Aaron Donald is trending.
55:17Towards playing. But it's not confirmed. They're hopeful. He will play Monday night.
55:22Against the Giants. I don't know if that impacts.
55:24Whether you're. I mean. You've got to make your decisions.
55:28Ahead of Monday night. I'm not sitting. Scadaboo. In any situation.
55:31You're not sitting. Scadaboo. I don't think you're sitting.
55:34Neighbors in any situation. And the question. Then becomes.
55:37Just likely. You're not sitting dark. So then. All three.
55:40They're all playing. Joe Burrow practiced on Friday. A little injury update.
55:44For you. Feels good. Jalen Coker. Not on the injury report.
55:47So. At least he seemed to tell the truth.
55:50About it not being a big deal. Chica Conquo.
55:53Hamstring. Ruled out. Against the Cowboys. Go ahead Mike.
55:56Just. Just will it into existence. Who's Mike. You want to tell the people.
56:00Who I picked up. In our shared dynasty league.
56:03I am. The Senate. Yeah Jason did me. In a.
56:07A very solid friendship move. Just a connection. Between co-managers.
56:10Ben Sennett was picked up. Let's go baby. There you go.
56:13I mean. Jesse Bates touchdown. On the way. Here we go.
56:17Almost certainly. Almost certainly. Let's. Let's jump into the face off.
56:20Fantasy face off. Presented by Prize Picks. All righty.
56:23Week one in the books. It was. It was a successful week.
56:27We went. What is it? 10 of 12. On the picks from this section.
56:31So. Jason. It's time. Oh that's a very. We got a new wheel.
56:36We've got a new wheel. Showing up behind us here.
56:39The wheel. Of. Shame. All right. Let's spin that wheel.
56:42Also. I do this in protest. Because my lineup cash.
56:45And I got three out of four right. Cheesehead.
56:48Oh no. Oh the Lorax. Oh the Lorax. All right.
56:51Jason the trees. The trees. First. Go ahead and take care of that.
56:55What is this? Yeah you got to take your hat off.
56:59It looks like an orange sheisty. Yeah you got to put that over your head.
57:04Well then. Oh. Oh you left the glasses on.
57:07I didn't think about it. That's a way to do it.
57:10I feel like I'm going to rob a bank.
57:13You will have to take the glasses off anyway.
57:16You're going to rob a bank. But then also do some construction on the way out.
57:21Yeah. I got to say stay. Oh he's working on it.
57:24He's working on it. Oh get under there. Come on.
57:28You need some help? Uh mentally. Yes. Oh you look good.
57:31Oh this is nice. I might rock this. Andy Reid.
57:34Oh. Is that you? Oh. All right. We are into it.
57:38Jason you look great. Thank you. Even under protest.
57:41All right. Let's go ahead and kick it off here.
57:44Also might I just say great job us. Because last week you went four for four.
57:49Yeah. Four for four. Four for four. Mike and I went three for four.
57:53Yeah. It was a nice. It was a nice week.
57:57All right. I'm going to kick it off here.
58:00Christian McCaffrey. Green Goblin starting it off. 16.5 receiving yards.
58:03I'm taking the more. Dad. That's the. That's the.
58:06Wait. How much? 16 and a half. That's about.
58:08It's a free square if I've ever heard one.
58:11Is that the first drive? Is that first reception?
58:14All right. Jason. Who's your. Who's your running. Why are we not on his solo cam?
58:19Yeah. I mean what are we doing? All right.
58:22My. Yeah. Lorax is good old too. Yeah. Look.
58:25Lorax is need glasses. Okay. And then your glasses need glasses.
58:29Oh my running back start of the week. Or whatever this is.
58:32I'm going with Aaron Jones senior all alone without Jordan Mason.
58:36More than 61 and a half. Rushing yards. I think he gets it done on the ground.
58:41Okay. Does he? Okay. He does. That's spicy. I'm going with Chase Brown.
58:45Cincinnati Bengals 21 and a half receiving yards. I will take the more.
58:50All right. Moving to the quarterback position next. I just realized that this isn't supposed to cover my mouth.
58:56This is a lot easier. I'm like talking through fabric.
58:59You had the fabric. I had it up over my top lip.
59:03Because you were going to rob the bank. Yeah.
59:06All right. I'm going Kirk Cousins. What? What? At the quarterback position.
59:09You don't have to do this. And that's not a goblin?
59:13More than 192.5 passing yards this week in LA.
59:16I like it. I'm taking Kirk Cousins. You get a little crazy.
59:20That's right. What do you got, Lorax? All right.
59:22Well, this is my green goblin. I've got Jordan Love.
59:26Oh, you're going back to the well of the only one you lost last week.
59:30Got it. But he's going more than 183.5 passing yards.
59:34Okay. That's your green goblin? That is my green goblin.
59:37Let's see. It would be funny if he let you down twice, though.
59:41He threw for almost 400 yards last week. Yeah.
59:44I think they're going to let him throw the ball, and they can't really run with Marshawn Lloyd.
59:50That seems better than the rushing attempts for him this week.
59:53Yeah. My green goblin is my quarterback as well.
59:56I'll be taking Tyler Shuck, the Shuck daddy himself.
59:59So, 17.5 pass completions, I'm going to go more.
60:02Okay. So, you're going completions. You ready for this one?
60:05Wide receiver. You told me I didn't have to do the Kirk Cousins one, right?
60:10Oh, what are you doing? Yeah. Come on. Brian Thomas Jr.
60:13Oh, I want a Jalen Naylor. You just said you did not want to start Brian Thomas Jr.
60:1936.5 receiving yards. I'm taking the less. Dude. Oh!
60:22All right. What a reveal to take the lower number on the guy you don't like.
60:27Okay. Well, I've got a similar one. Marvin Harrison Jr., 34.5 yards.
60:31What? I'm taking the more. Okay. 34.5. 34.5. I'm taking more.
60:34I think he can get that on one reception, which he almost did last week.
60:39He'll be more involved. Is that the... Are you sure it wasn't 60.5?
60:43Is this an issue with Jason not being able to read?
60:47What am I doing? It's 60.5, Jason. For Marvin Harrison?
60:50Mm-hmm. No, it's not. It's 34.5. All right. It's in the screenshot that I sent you.
60:55Okay. We'll give him the 34.5. Marvin Harrison Jr., 34.5.
60:58What a disaster for the lower X. I got Matthew Golden because I also believe in Jordan Love this week.
61:05Matthew Golden, the 46.5 receiving yards. I will go more.
61:08Look at you. Look at you. Matthew Golden. Hey.
61:11This is... You know, last year was the year of Mike.
61:14This is the year of Mike. Forgiveness. I'm going to go with another wild one for you.
61:20Trey McBride at the tight end position. 60.5 receiving yards.
61:23Maybe that is where the confusion... Yeah. That feels easy.
61:26That might have been confused. I'm going less. I'm taking less.
61:29I think Seattle's... Oh! Defensive focus will... It fits with your over, Jason.
61:34I'm going Trey McBride less than 60.5. I think their elite defense will focus entirely on Trey McBride this week.
61:40I hope so. I'm going to take the less.
61:43Okay. My tight end... Look, I'm going back to the well from last week.
61:47Darren Waller, who looked good, is getting more healthy, more involved.
61:51He's at 17.5 receiving yards. That feels very easy for him to pass that.
61:55Wasn't that what he was last week? Yeah. I mean, and he crushed it.
62:00So, more snaps. All right. More easy. 17.5. I'll take more.
62:03So, you went to two of the same dudes as last week when you ended up Loraxed.
62:09I mean, I still cashed last week. I was the worst of three great options.
62:14All right. But, like, the outcome. The outcome of this show, you're like, yeah, I like that.
62:19But, to be fair, my lineup last week where I took these two guys isn't where I lost.
62:25It was the tiebreaker lineup I had with Mike that I lost.
62:29That is true. Love lost for you last week.
62:31I'm going to continue to hate on the Browns.
62:34Harold Fannin Jr., six targets. Oh, interesting. Less. Interesting.
62:37There's a lot of really interesting ones in here.
62:40Yeah, that's what will be fascinating. Trying to spice it up.
62:44So, the Marvin Harrison receiving number is 34.5? Is that what you said?
62:4834.5, yes. 34.5. 34.5 versus... If you're looking at the board, that is...
62:52That's way better. Let's look at him instead. Yeah, if it was 64.5, I would go less.
62:57I think he'll be in that range. Wow. Wow, that should be fun.
63:01That was Fancy Face Off presented by PrizePix. The amount of your mustache on that microphone is incredible.
63:07Oh, that sucks. You're going to need the cleaning crew.
