Ashton Jeanty

NegativeInjury13:51

Ashton Jeanty suffered an ankle injury at practice that caused him to be helped off the field. While initial reports suggest a sprain rather than a long-term injury, the uncertainty regarding whether it is a low or high ankle sprain creates significant risk for drafters.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveBreakout22:55

Chris Bell is a highly touted rookie wide receiver who is now practicing without a non-contact jersey and looking explosive. He was a borderline first-round talent before an ACL injury, and the Dolphins' nebulous wide receiver situation provides him a clear opportunity to step up.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveInjury32:19

Christian McCaffrey returned to practice after dealing with tightness. The team clarified that his absence was a planned rest day to keep him fresh, which the source views as a positive sign for his upcoming workload.

Insight page
PositiveValue78:39

Despite injury concerns, Christian McCaffrey remains a top-tier keeper option for the first round, with the source advising that he is an easy choice over other options like Kyle Pitts.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeRole24:50

Head coach Dave Canales indicated that if Chuba Hubbard is healthy for Week 1, the Panthers will utilize a running back committee. The source advises against drafting or starting Hubbard, suggesting he is a poor investment compared to Jonathan Brooks.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveValue39:51

Despite previous skepticism, the source is now 'all in' on DeAndre Swift as a fringe RB1. Swift benefits from a strong offensive line, Ben Johnson's scheme, and a favorable early-season schedule. His ADP (RB24) is considered too low.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

PositiveBreakout74:10

Dalton Kincaid is a player the source is 'embarrassed to love' due to past injury issues, but he is now healthy and seeing increased involvement in every facet of the offense; he posted a league-best 2.73 yards per route run last year.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeUsage21:55

The source expresses concern over reports from the Houston Chronicle suggesting the backfield workload could be close to a split between Montgomery and Woody Marks, rather than Montgomery being the clear workhorse as previously assumed.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

PositiveProjection75:58

The source expresses strong belief in Devon Achane, noting they were willing to trade significant assets to acquire him in a fantasy league.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

NegativeBust20:32

The source expresses strong concern regarding Deshaun Watson, citing his poor on-field performance (6.5 and 5.3 yards per attempt in 2023/2024) and his lack of humility or accountability in recent press conferences.

Insight page

Jakobi Meyers

NegativeInjury33:57

Jakobi Meyers was seen wearing a brace on his right hand during a preseason game, raising concerns about his health and availability for the upcoming season.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveBreakout12:11

Jason Moore made a trade offer for Jalen Waddle after seeing his preseason performance, noting that Waddle fits exactly what Bo Nix needs in the Denver offense.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveValue26:01

The source expresses strong support for Jonathan Brooks, preferring him over Chuba Hubbard in the Panthers' backfield.

Insight page

Jordan James

NegativeInjury79:17

Jordan James was initially viewed as the correct backup for the 49ers, but he has been injured throughout training camp, leading the source to lose interest in him.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeBust43:14

The source is fading Josh Jacobs this season, despite acknowledging his status as a touchdown machine and the status quo of the backfield.

Insight page
NegativeBust71:49

The source is fading Josh Jacobs for the upcoming season, noting that while he was a touchdown machine, the team's shift toward wide zone runs does not fit his skill set as well as it fits Marshawn Lloyd.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

PositiveValue28:48

Despite mediocre quarterback play, the source loves Kyle Pitts for his seventh-round ADP, citing his high target share, PPR potential, and the fact that he led the Falcons in routes, targets, and yards last year. Kevin Stefanski's history of targeting tight ends is also noted as a positive factor.

Insight page
NegativeValue78:39

Kyle Pitts is mentioned as a potential 10th-round keeper, but the source notes they are 'embarrassed to love' him and would still prioritize Christian McCaffrey in the first round.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeInjury43:06

Marshawn Lloyd is struggling to stay on the field, which has impacted his ability to challenge Josh Jacobs for carries.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper71:46

Marshawn Lloyd is a recommended late-round target as a hedge against Josh Jacobs; he fits the team's shift toward wide zone runs better than Jacobs and could see more work than currently anticipated.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

PositiveRole34:16

Michael Penix Jr. has been cleared for 11-on-11 drills. The source notes that his inability to show his skills during the offseason has actually helped his perception, as Tua Tagovailoa has struggled, potentially opening a path for Penix.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury80:34

The source expresses concern over Mike Evans' injury history, joking that he was brought to San Francisco to be 'sacrificed' for Christian McCaffrey's health, and noting he is a poor fit for a team that struggles with injuries.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveValue3:26

Andy Holloway reports drafting Puka Nacua at the 6th spot in an FFT Open draft, noting that getting him at that position is a great value if he is healthy.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveRole29:16

The source highlights Rhamondre Stevenson as a player they are 'embarrassed to love' but strongly believe in. Beat writers Greg Bedard and Andrew Callahan have confirmed Stevenson is the clear RB1 in New England, dismissing concerns about a 50-50 split.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

PositiveBreakout35:51

The source remains high on Rome Odunze, noting his impressive performance in the first half of last season before a foot injury derailed his production. He is viewed as a strong year-three breakout candidate who could lead the Bears in targets.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

PositiveUsage13:39

Tony Pollard received eight of eight opportunities during his preseason action, signaling a potential workhorse role in the Titans' offense.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveUsage21:55

Woody Marks is trending upward after a strong preseason game, with reports suggesting he could command a significant 40-45% share of the backfield workload, which would negatively impact David Montgomery's fantasy value.

0:00Hey, this is Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs and you're listening to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast.
0:06To the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore and Mike Wright.
0:11Welcome in! I thought in honor of that intro you were going to give us a like a...
0:17Welcome in! It's me! Patrick! Yeah, yeah! Look, I get it.
0:20It's old, it's tired, but it's still funny to me.
0:24It's not easy recovering from an ACL. That's pretty good.
0:27That is actually very good. That's a pretty good Patrick Mahomes.
0:31Welcome into the podcast. Mike the Fantasy Hitman is here.
0:34Jason Moore, present, accounted for. I'm Andy Holloway and we are back.
0:38And it is an exciting time in the world of fantasy football.
0:42Oh man! If you were on social medias yesterday...
0:44Oh gosh! Holy crap! Well yeah, we can... What a ride!
0:48Talk about the Jinty situation. The news that we've gotten since the red alert has been positive for Ashton Jinty.
0:55However, I don't know what situation... I mean there were so many people in the middle of drafts.
1:00Yeah. Or that had drafted and had regrets with Jinty that were drafting and didn't know where to take Jinty or Mike Washington.
1:08I mean you should at least set it up if we're going to talk about it.
1:13There's some people who probably don't know what it is.
1:16Okay, well I'll press pause and then we'll talk all the way through it.
1:21There we go. Lots going on. Almost too much.
1:24Almost too much going on. But we do have a UDK for Life giveaway today.
1:29We will be live on YouTube. YouTube.com slash TheFantasyFootballers Oh that's today.

1:35Yeah. Make sure you join us. 6pm Eastern, 3pm Pacific.
1:39Giving away a signed Jamar Chase jersey as well as the UDK for Life.
1:43And maybe we'll do some other stuff. We'll see.
1:46But we'll be answering your questions. So you've got drafts coming up.
1:50I did a little poll this weekend. And it looked like above 75% of people still had their main drafts in the future.
1:58Although a lot of people did do some drafts this weekend.
2:01A lot of you are in lots of leagues so they're probably all over the place.
2:06I have one right now for the FFT Open that I am in the middle of doing.
2:12I took Pukunakua at the 6th spot. I mean that's great getting him at 6 if he plays, you know.
2:18But we'll be live today and give away the UDK for Life.
2:22The way you are eligible to win that is to have purchased the UDK, the Ultimate Draft Kit.

2:34We've got tools for inside the draft, marking players, sleepers, breakouts, buss, and values that we all agree on.
2:40Injuries stuff. Look, injuries are an important thing to do.
2:43We've got our dude, certified PT, Matthew Betts. He gives his thoughts on what's going on with certain injuries.
2:50No, we were all over that Jinty situation too.
2:52We were updating that as it was happening. Best we could.
2:56Yeah, I was like, what do we do? The team took a knee, said prayers, had like a big...
3:02Successful prayers. Right, yeah. Thank goodness they did. Imagine if he didn't.
3:06But again, make sure you get the UDK before the live stream.
3:10Ultimate Foot Clan members also eligible. And if you've bought it in the past since February, you're eligible to win as well.
3:17We have the Megalobowl going on right now. Drafts are happening for the Megalobowl.
3:22And this, it's much more stormy this year. The Megalobowl is stormier than previous years.
3:27The weather, the El Nino coming in, bringing the storms.
3:30Yeah, I mean... I don't remember there being storms in the previous...
3:34It looks awesome. Yeah. But it's also like, yeah, why...
3:37Sharks are pretty scary. Yeah, sharks... You don't need lightning and stuff, but...
3:41It's like doubling down. But I think... If I was in the ocean, I'm scared of sharks.
3:47It is way more terrifying if it's lightning and storm.
3:50Okay. Now I'm like, I just... Maybe I'm wanting the shark now.
3:54The footballs in the background are a wonderful flotation device though, if you are lost out there.
3:59There's no way your arms can... You'd have to climb up onto those gigantic footballs.
4:04You'd have to climb up onto it. But over 9,000 of you have joined up so far.
4:10We had over 21,000 last year. Or those are teeny tiny sharks.
4:14You can go to Megalobowl.com to pick a draft time and draft with us.
4:18I told you there's a lot going on guys.
4:21And then on Friday... Oh! Friday we have our live show out here in Phoenix.
4:26And that will be the Saturday bonus episode of the show.
4:30So you'll be able to watch that. We'll be live at the Van Buren in Phoenix on Friday night with 800 strong mighty Foot Clan members in attendance.
4:39And... I'm willing to bet right now someone is listening to this.
4:43They saved this episode. They're listening on their drive to Phoenix to see us at the live show.
4:48All right. See you soon. Before we get into the quick question, quick shout out to Sleeper by the way for hosting the...
4:56Yes. Hosting the Megalobowl. So that'll be... Yeah, the same place it's been.
5:00Yeah, it just makes it so easy. Makes it easier.
5:03All right. Any takeaways or reactions from week two of the preseason?
5:07I had four things that I wrote down and I'll just go through them really quickly.
5:12I wrote Titans defense down. I think it might be the number one team to play against your players against.
5:19Oh, man. I was like, what is Andy seeing?
5:22So they stood out more than the Titans offense, huh?
5:25I have Ward and Tate written down. Ward? Maybe.
5:28Ward is... He's playing that way. Cam Ward. Ward is the worst J-Lo style...
5:33I mean, what was the Ben Affleck and J-Lo nickname?
5:36Oh, when you combine them. Yeah, the combo names.
5:39What was... What were they called? I can't think of any of them.
5:43I should know this. When they mashed the two names together.
5:46I wasn't listening. I'm sorry. J-Lo and Affleck. What was their...
5:50Didn't they make it? Bennifer? Yeah. Thank you, Kyle.
5:53Well, Ward sucks. Ward is not a good one.
5:56But Ward and Tate, I mean... Hope he's all right.
5:59Tate hasn't caught any passes in the preseason, so...
6:02He's had targets. Um... I... I have to give Ian Hartitz a shout-out because he posted the season-long projection for Carnell Tate.
6:09Um, based off of... Oh. And it was like 125 targets, zero catches, zero receptions, zero touchdowns.
6:15Stupid Ian being so good at Twitter. He's funny.
6:18Um, I wrote Stribbling down, obviously. He's had a great preseason.
6:21We talked about his... Both of his games. And then I just wrote Cleveland down as a word.
6:27Oh, what a... What a... Oh. I just put Cleveland down.
6:31I mean... Brother. I don't know. Dog pound. Like, this guy stinks!
6:35I mean... Dog pound. I'm so sorry. It's worse than Arizona.
6:38It is absolutely worse than Arizona. At least they have Miles Garrett.
6:42Oh. You might be able to... I'm not even saying football.
6:46Like, football, you might win more games than the Cardinals.
6:49I hope you do as a Cardinals fan. But that situation, I mean, what a...
6:54Some franchises, man. What a joke. When they were saying dog pound, I'm sure they were like, you know, it's the real.
7:01We're aggressive. We're dogs. They didn't, like, think through the sad part that happens at the pound.
7:06Yeah. They are the dog. Oh, crap. Yeah. Just saying.
7:10They don't... Not all the dogs go to a happy home?
7:13Yeah. Okay. My takeaways from preseason were... You had some of the backups who've been injured forever.
7:19Jonathan Brooks, Marshawn Lloyd actually start and play and do things.
7:22And it's like, oh, that's exciting. You had... You got to see Waddle and Bo Nix.
7:27Oh, that was cool. That was fun. Yeah, that made me...
7:31I'm gonna be honest with you. We say don't overreact to the preseason.
7:35Yeah, yeah, yeah. When that play happened, I went and made a trade offer for Jalen Waddle.
7:41Dude. I'm not even kidding. Welcome aboard. Yeah. Being hot and bothered.
7:45I mean... We've all got Waddle higher. At least you might do.
7:49Yeah, yeah. When I said in the offseason where it was like, I was watching Bo Nix deep throws and I was like, man, he needs Waddle.
7:57And then that play happens. It's like, that's exactly what they needed.
8:01They knew it. They went out and they got him.
8:04We saw the Bucky, Irving, Kenneth Gainwell split. That is...
8:08The split. Might be... And I think the Christian Watson, Matthew Golden clearly confirmed two wide receiver sets.
8:14Right. Watson looked great. Golden looked good. Yeah, I...
8:16Tell Sertan to knock it off. Calm down, man.
8:19It's preseason. One more Titans bit was Pollard getting eight of eight opportunities.
8:24Oh, man. So... Go ahead. Don't. Don't. Take him from me.
8:27Big news to talk about. News and notes from around the league.
8:31So the whole overview of the Ashton Jinty situation was mid-Sunday.
8:35We were, you know, we were just having a nice day.
8:38Preseason was happening. You know, I was trying to relax and then you get this news that Ashton Jinty has gone down
8:45at practice and that he had to be helped off the field.
8:49Couldn't put weight on one of his legs. And the team had gathered to like stop practice and have a moment and...
8:56Literally, they stopped the music to the practice. This was what was reported.
9:01The team took a break, took a knee. They started playing taps, right?
9:05On the... Yeah. And it was like when you have that...
9:08I mean, you see it all the time. When something happens, an injury that's really bad...
9:14Yeah. Where the team has to take a knee.
9:17Yeah. And you go out of respect, you know what's going on, whether...
9:21And so we just assumed we were waiting for the ACL news.
9:25This could be... Yeah, this could be significant. Yeah.
9:28Season ending was these times. The headline was like, some people pulled like instantly, some other sites pulled Jinty instantly from their rankings.
9:35People's drafts were going on. We were actively talking in the moment.
9:39Like my instant plan for Jinty was like, we don't know how bad this injury is.
9:44It seems... Do we pull him? Do we not?
9:47I just took him down a little bit. Me too.
9:50And I moved his risk rating all the way up and we had...
9:55We updated the blurb and we kind of informed you in the middle of your draft.
10:00But like, if you go... If you swing the pendulum all the way to he's out for the year without any confirmation, this guy's off the draft boards.
10:09Mike Washington is going in the fourth or something and then...
10:12So check this out. Kent Weyrach, a former writer of ours, tweeted this.
10:17Here's some trades that happened in this little tiny window in Dynasty.
10:21Oh boy. Mike Washington for Blake Corum. You got the...
10:24What? I mean, if you thought Washington was a starter, I guess.
10:28Mike Washington in a first for Jalen Waddell. Oh.
10:31Someone got Mike Washington for... They got a 20-27 second for Mike Washington straight up.
10:35How about this one? Straight up, Mike Washington for Brian Thomas.
10:39Brian Thomas Jr., a super young wide receiver who was the wide receiver seven two years ago.
10:45Somehow those all... I can kind of see them happening.
10:48Yeah, yeah, yeah. In the panic. I can feel it.
10:51And you've got Mike Washington in our Dynasty League, right?
10:54Yeah. You should have been out there shopping. Did you even know that?
10:59I don't think I brought that up during that whole situation.
11:02Someone may have mentioned it. But listen, here's the news.
11:05If you're just coming around to it, Adam Schefter, Ian Rappaport co-reporting that Jente is believed to have sprained his ankle and
11:12it is not considered a long-term injury. So he Paul pierced it.
11:16He went down in a heap, got lifted off the field.
11:20Paul Pierce pooped his pants. Jente... I mean... We all know it.
11:24He knows it. I don't believe that. No, no.
11:27I think he's just, you know... He definitely pooped his pants.
11:30Remember he got wheelchaired out and then came back?
11:33Yeah, because of the poopy pants. All right. You can't walk like that.
11:37That's your news. Jente, this could be high ankle.
11:40This could be running into the beginning of the season.
11:44We still don't have... We don't have a diagnostic from the team or an announcement from the team.
11:50We just have reports from reporters. Because if it's a low ankle spring...
11:54I'm sorry for saying his name on the show.
11:57My... Low... Thank you. If it's a low ankle sprain, it's like, okay, well that's no big deal.
12:02Maybe he misses the... Like, we'll just hold him out.
12:06You know, let him recover and he should be good to go week one.
12:10If he has a high ankle sprain, that's like a four to six week injury.
12:15And we know that there is... Like, you aren't full go right when you come back from the...
12:21From that injury. So, if you're drafting soon before that information comes out, it's still...
12:26It's the risk that you have to either accept or pass on based on this little information that we have.
12:32We have news that Deshaun Watson has been named the starter.
12:36Despite... Oh my gosh. The preseason games played. I had seen...
12:40Are you talking Watson, Mike? Are you trying to react to...
12:43There's both. There's both. Well, let's just finish on the Watson.
12:47I think that's the Watson of the... His quotes going on social media of the...
12:52He was not happy with what he felt was very disrespectful of fans booing him.
12:56Even though he's been horrifically bad on the field the last time we saw him.
13:01So, it was like... It's just like, it's not performance.
13:05It's personal. But it could be... It could be both.
13:08It could be both. It can 100% be both.
13:11Somebody gave me a hard time. I posted... The idea came from Matt.
13:15He said, is Deshaun Watson a better player than a person or a better person?
13:20Yeah. And then... I said neither. Well, it was meant to trap.
13:24Yes. Because you'd have to say one or the other and you don't want to.
13:29No. But the point... Somebody responded... Why are you giving him such a hard time?
13:33Other players have made mistakes. We've all got our own opinion.
13:37But here's my answer. Humility. Yeah. Apology. Admitting you did wrong.
13:41In this press conference, he literally said he regrets nothing in his life.
13:45The way you approach these things, I have... You have a right to say what you want to say and I have
13:52a right to have an opinion based on what you say.
13:55That's called... Like, we all judge people that way.
13:58It doesn't mean that... Look, I don't know... I haven't had a conversation with Deshaun Watson nor shall I.
14:05But at the end of the day, this guy, faced up to nothing, has been a $200 million disaster...
14:11Was rewarded with it. Yeah. For the... Yeah. The whole timeline is, hey, you did something wrong.
14:16Obviously. You admitted and apologized for nothing. You were given $200 million.
14:20You rewarded the franchise that gave you that money with the worst play on the field possible.
14:26And then you came back and said you don't like the fan base.
14:30And I'll admit, like, when there were cheers by fans when he hurt himself...
14:34Yeah, that's not cool. That crosses a line too.
14:37But you also... You could have had that press conference and said, you know what?
14:42It's been a long road. That was disappointing to hear, but at the same time...
14:47I gotta be better. I wanna be better and I wanna make this fan base...
14:52It's not hard. You know? What blew my mind is in that press conference when he's saying correctly, he's like, it's not...
14:59They're not just upset. We know that it's not just a play on the field.
15:04It goes beyond that. It's off-field stuff. You know?
15:07It's like, yes, that's correct. And then he goes, so that's pretty hurtful.
15:11It's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, dude. I thought he was gonna say, like, so I understand, you know, that that's what the
15:18fans have to go through and I gotta get the play up.
15:22Instead, he's like, that's so mean of you guys.
15:25It's not. Like, what? I mean, fantasy-wise, Casey Concepcion, great player, great opportunity.
15:29Harold Fannin, great player, great opportunity. Denzel Boston's been flashing.
15:33None of these guys... I mean, it is very fair to say none of them are going to be players that you
15:40can 100% guarantee are gonna be great today. Because Watson is not playing good football.
15:45Shadur was playing better than Watson. If you look at the preseason splits, much higher completion percentage.
15:50Otherwise, not that different. And neither one of them is elite or even mid-tier in terms of production.
15:56So, you know, Fannin, the volume, probably safe. Concepcion, the upside, might be nerfed.
16:01And they might want the first pick to turn the page officially.
16:04The last two times... And why did you draft Dylan Gabriel?
16:08Can I just say that? A third-round pick last year, you drafted him.
16:12He wasn't even a part of the worst quarterback competition in the history of football.
16:17Well, Stavansky tried to make him. He gave him the first shot over Shadur.
16:22He is... And it wasn't good enough. Yeah, okay.
16:25So, the last two times that Watson has played for the Cleveland Browns, which would have been 23 and 24, you know,
16:32completing about 62% of his passes, that's not bad.
16:35Except at 6.5 yards per attempt and 5.3 yards per attempt while fumbling five times...
16:39Pro bowler. Shadur or Sandus. In six games and seven games.
16:43Like, Watson is just... Go, I mean, fan and...
16:46Yeah. The play on the field for Watson is not acceptable for a franchise quarterback.
16:51That's a... You can remove literally everything and just say you're not even good enough to...
16:56You shouldn't be on an NFL team. Well, the news we got while we were talking...
17:01Breaking news. Did you even see this, Jason? I did not.
17:05Travion Henderson left practice early Monday after slipping during a cut.
17:08Of course. Got his right ankle and foot and leg looked at.
17:12Oh, man. Was this Vrabel buttering up the field?
17:15Dude. This is... Well, I thought he had mispracticed yesterday or on Saturday for unknown reasons.
17:20And then this is saying early Monday. So, after another...
17:24Maybe he's dealing with something because he slipped on a cut.
17:27I'm gonna spoil something real quick and just take it...
17:30Like, my... We're doing Players We're Embarrassed to Love today.
17:34And we're gonna give you a name that we're very embarrassed to publicly state that we are fans of.
17:40And then we're gonna throw in like a... It's Deshaun Watson.
17:43No, it isn't. That's good though. That would have been a great setup for me during the event.
17:49Unbelievable. But then we're gonna throw just another name out there that is also a name we're Embarrassed to Love.
17:56And Ramondre's the name for today for me. It's a great...
17:59100%. All of my pro-Travo takes and belief and hope does not in any way, shape, or form say that...
18:06I think Ramondre's a fantastic pick. Where he's going right now...
18:09I mean, he is two rounds behind Travion Henderson.
18:12And I had no clue that this injury was happening.
18:16But one of the things I was gonna say was that we all say like if Ramondre goes down, Travion's a monster.
18:23Well, it goes the other way too. And I was gonna bring that up, but we had comments before the injury from
18:30the two of the biggest beat writers in New England this past three days.
18:34So Greg Bedard and Andrew Callahan, Boston Globe, Boston Sports Journal.
18:38Bedard said not even a discussion. Ramondre is way better back at everything.
18:42That's the quote. Andrew Callahan. Stevenson is clearly the RB1 and doesn't want to...
18:47And he didn't want to hear about 50-50 splits.
18:50Yeah. And so you take the... Now that you got an injury...
18:54Like, I don't say with pride that I want to take Ramondre, but I did something I've never done before in my life this past weekend.
19:02And I opened up a trade window. I opened up a trade window before this news to try to pick...
19:09Now it's ruined because Travion's hurt. Now I can't get Ramondre.
19:12Okay. All right. Do you hear it yourself? Maybe I can.
19:16Maybe it's not ruined. But hey, in the seventh round, in the sixth round, there's a chance that Ramondre comes out now.
19:23I mean, I don't know what this injury is.
19:26But either way, you should have a viable starter on a really good team.
19:30Yeah. Good offense. You want pieces of good offenses.
19:33So that's crazy news though. And we'll monitor that.
19:36I mean, that is up in the air right now.
19:39George Kittle activated off the PUP. Christian McCaffrey, after tightness for a long time, finally returned to practice, said that taking time
19:47off in camp was part of the plan. That was so good to hear.
19:51Yeah. No injury. Two different reasons. One, no injury.
19:54And two, that they are like literally worried about it and keeping him fresh because they're doing it because they want to give him the ball a ton.
20:03Dajon Stribling was practicing. Why would they not just say something?
20:07Like, your coach is having to field questions. Well, I, can you like.
20:11Just be like, hey, this is part of the plan.
20:14That McCaffrey worked. It's weird though, right? Like, can you just mark them down as like rest day in training camp?
20:21Or do you have to mark them down? You probably have to mark something.
20:25As an injury. And that's what tightness was. I feel like they get in trouble if they don't say it after or something.
20:33I don't know. Uh, Dajon Stribling, non-contact Jersey had a minor shoulder injury.
20:37Parker Washington returned to practice, but Jacoby Myers was seen in a brace on his right hand in Friday's preseason game.
20:44I hate to say it, but I'm like, you know, one, one piece removed from the Jacksonville wide receiver room and things
20:51start to become a lot easier to project. We'll see what Jacoby Myers health is like.
20:56Michael Pinnock's Jr. cleared for 11 on 11. It's been a pretty good off season for Pinnock's.
21:02I mean, as he's done nothing, as he's done nothing, he, he has not been able to show his skill, which is great news for him.
21:10And Tua at the same time has been awful.
21:13So like you can't imagine a better setup for Pinnock's.
21:16You didn't. I mean, it's perfect. Yeah. You, you look great and you didn't have to do anything.
21:22Exactly. Uh, well played Michael. There've been conversations. I would stay out a little bit longer.
21:28Yeah. About one more. You're going to walk right into the starting job.
21:32Yeah. Just hang, hang out a little bit longer.
21:35Uh, Woody Marks had a great preseason game. That's something we should have brought up.
21:40And the news out of Houston Chronicle, at least one beat writer says the workload might not be 50 50, but we'll
21:47be close between Montgomery and Woody Marks. I do not like hearing that if you're a, like the entire argument for Montgomery
21:54is he is everything for that backfield. If, if Woody Marks is.
21:58I still feel like Jason was right though on the last show about like not seeing Monty at all is saying something about that.
22:05Oh, he's, yeah, he's the starter. He's not, I mean, they, they trade for him.
22:10They give him money. He's, he's the locked in starter and you need to, but people have to play.
22:17So they have Woody Marks out there. It's just what, what is the percent?
22:21That's the entire, the bet on David Montgomery. If Woody Marks is like 30%, all right, you're, you're probably fine, but you're totally fine if he's 30%.
22:30But if you're looking at 40 to 45%, then you have a big problem for David Montgomery.
22:35Chris Bell. This is exciting. Dolphins wide receiver. If you don't know who he is, rookie wide receiver, he is practicing without a non-contact jersey.
22:43I saw a clip of Chris Bell running some routes, looked explosive.
22:47We, we did the leader of the pack segment last week on the Dolphins wideouts.
22:52We all admitted that like if Chris Bell was the healthiest, we probably would all be in that camp.
22:58He was certainly the most highly touted coming out of college.
23:02If not for his knee injury, he was a borderline first round pick and they, they got him at a discount because
23:09he was coming off of the ACL. So it's a, it's exciting because this is a team that needs someone to step up.
23:17The reason I think we landed on Caleb Douglas is because, you know, you hope that someone in a nebulous situation is
23:24able to say, Hey, I'm a special player. We know that that's not too, too at well, maybe Malik Washington steps forward,
23:31but we've seen him a long time. I don't think it's him, but Chris Bell and, and Caleb Douglas now are, have opportunities.
23:38Uh, the chargers officially placed their new Lee signed center, Tyler Biotish on injured reserve ending his season.
23:44Oh my gosh. The people hate it. It's, it's terrible.
23:47It's the worst preloaded excuse for Herbert. All set.
23:50You got to have them in the barrel. Yeah.
23:53Um, the, the thing about Biotish was, was weird because he, he was cut.
23:58You know what I mean? It's in the barrel.
24:01It should have been in the chamber. Yeah. If it's in the barrel.
24:05Yeah. I don't, I think it's loose rattling around in there.
24:09Did he load six or seven in the barrel?
24:11What if you, I'm curious about this. If you've got one in the barrel and then you shoot one from the chamber.
24:19You don't want to do that. Is that a boom, boom?
24:22I don't want to do that. That's one of those cartoon guns where the, the, they peel back all four sides of the gun.
24:30I think it's like when they nod it. Yeah.
24:33Something bad is going to happen to your hand.
24:36Okay. Get it out of the barrel. But look, this is not good.
24:40Chargers, uh, Rashawn Slater's back at practice. I'll say that.
24:43Okay. That's good news. And then it did. This really stinks for the chargers.
24:48We also have news from the Panthers head coach, Dave Canales.
24:51He said, if Chuba is good to go, if Chuba is good to go, we'll be running back by committee in week one.
24:59I feel like Canales is hard to trust when it comes to how he talks about his running back.
25:05To me, this is, this is a step up from if Chuba is good to go, he's our guy.
25:11It's a step up from if Chuba is good to go, he's been our starter.
25:16He's been our tried and true guy. We're going to lean on him.
25:20I mean, it's also a step up one. It's not just a step up to saying, Hey, it's going to be a
25:2750 50, you know, they're going to share a committee.
25:31He's a sure committee, but also it's more if he's ready week one, like, yeah.
25:36Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's a fair point. This is, I mean, if he comes back, you're not going to have Chuba.
25:42Like I can't imagine if you draft Chuba right now, you can't start him week one.
25:48Right. There's no world where you can start. I have Chuba Hubbard.
25:51I'm trying to tell people, I think Chuba is just, you're taking one of your picks.
25:57You're just setting it on fire. I am very pro Jonathan Brooks.
26:01Jonathan Brooks. Big time. One quick reminder on the Travion news.
26:04If, if more like recovery news comes out, they are the first game of the season.
26:09That's the Wednesday, September 9th game. Oh boy. So we'll see if Ramondre or Travion are together or not.
26:16Oh boy. That's a lot of news. We got so much going on.
26:20Anything else? Anything else? Anybody else twist to something?
26:23How are the groins doing these days? Are we butterfly stretching?
26:26I think more butterfly stretching has been taking place.
26:29We're getting the word out. Yeah. We're trying our best.
26:32But yeah, fewer, the groins are- Can you patent like a move and no one else can use the move without paying you?
26:40Your stretch? Like a stretch? Hmm. I'm gonna look into that.
26:43Like you catch somebody doing it and you're like, that's five bucks.
26:47I would like to patent the butterfly stretch. Yeah.
26:50All right. Well, we'll take a break. We'll come back with Players We're Embarrassed to Love.
26:55Players We're Embarrassed to Love. I hear something embarrassing.
26:58I forgot that. Papa Josh says he can butterfly stretch the knees to the ground on both sides.
27:04Wow. That is embarrassing. That's too flexible for me.
27:07Yeah. Says an inflexible person. Inflexible. But can you do the splits?
27:11Get rekt! I can't recover after that. I'm sorry.
27:14Can you do the splits? That's one of those like really cool things that feels like a shameful thing.
27:20Like I'm embarrassed. This is the I'm embarrassed to love.
27:23Yeah. I would be embarrassed to be like, watch me do these splits.
27:28I'd feel that way too. I would be like Jean Claude out there.
27:32I'd be like, any excuse to do the splits.
27:35You need that light turned on? Let me ask you this way.
27:39Oh, I see your counters are close together. Splits!
27:42If we were walking out into the lobby for lunch.
27:45Yeah. And Matt Pingree, the Falcon, just drops into his dead splits.
27:49Just drops on the floor, splits. Well, that's embarrassing.
27:52Yeah. You have to have a fake reason to do it.
27:55Okay. All right. Because he wouldn't. He'd just drop.
27:58He'd just drop. Like maybe he dropped his wallet.
28:01What if he did it on purpose though? Whoops!
28:04Well, yeah, I would do that. Like I said, any excuse.
28:08All right. Players were embarrassed to love. We've each got a name or two.
28:12Uh, it's time to go public. All right. I mean, I feel like mine and Jason are, people already kind of know about it, but yours is.
28:21Yeah. I mean, I can, I can start. You could still, you could pivot.
28:25I already told you Ramond, right? But this, no, you can, you can change right now and no one will be none the wiser.
28:33No one would know. No, let me say this.
28:36We know, but this was the pivot. Wait, it was worse than this.
28:40This was the pivot. It was Watson. I knew it.
28:44No, no, it wasn't. I knew it. No, this was the pivot for Kyle Pitts.
28:48He was placed in a couple other spots more significant than being on the players.
28:53I'm embarrassed to love show. Okay. This was, he's not your MVP or my guy.
28:58My guy and an MVP candidate. Oh, and you guys said the same thing in the office.
29:04You don't have to do it. You don't have to do this.
29:08And so he found a home on this show and it's Kyle Pitts tied in for the Atlanta Falcons.
29:14You were loving that Michael Penix news. Gross. I am obviously embarrassed to say that I love Kyle Pitts this year, but I should, but I do.
29:23I do love Kyle Pitts this year. He will be on so many of my teams because of the draft cost, because
29:30he will be a seventh round, late sixth round pick.
29:33Last year, you know, the fantasy finish. What was he?
29:36Two tied into. I know we had the insane game, but look, the capacity to have a game like that signs the three year, $36 million guaranteed extension.
29:45The two left handed mediocre quarterbacks that he has, especially the one that's going to start the season is so inept.
29:52And what do you call it when you're like in the pocket gun shy, like just absolutely afraid of pressure and throws
29:59the ball short all over the place. I think Kyle Pitts, look, I have more confidence that he has a season worth
30:06being proud of than I do right now about like the Drake London having the Jefferson style year.
30:12He led the Falcons in routes targets, receptions, receiving yards last year.
30:16Only McBride did that in the NFL to his area of the field is low a dot.
30:22We know this 80 or sorry, 63% of his temps under 10 yards.
30:26The one preseason game we saw them together, it was like four out of five plays.
30:31Kyle Pitts caught a pass. I think the PPR value of Kyle Pitts is going to be through the roof.
30:38Kevin Stefanski is coming in as the head coach.
30:40This is the one that can. I mean, it does a sway me, but if anything was going to do it, it'd be this one.
30:49Kevin Stefanski, his target share for the tight end position.
30:52That's a routinely targeted position for Stefanski in 2025 last year, 32% of the targets, but it's like 20%.
30:5826% or higher for the last six years as a head coach.
31:02And so to me, this one is a, this is an easy button at tight end, which Pitts has never been.
31:09He has been drafted now in six consecutive years.
31:12This is the second lowest draft price that you've ever gotten on, on Kyle Pitts.
31:17And so basically here's what the fantasy community did.
31:19He was drafted in the 10th round last year, basically the 11th.
31:23He had a tight end two season. He won people fantasy playoff games.
31:28And then they're like, we'll move you to the mid seventh round.
31:31So nobody's bought into the degree they're burnt more than they're bought in.
31:36And so to me, this one is an obvious, look, I don't like it.
31:40I'm not proud of it, but I'm there. And Kyle Pitts will be on a ton of my teams.
31:46What are you guys with Kyle Pitts? He'll be on none of my teams, but that isn't because I'm anti Kyle Pitts.
31:54I think that where, I mean, I've talked about this a lot, whether you like Laporta for you guys, you love Kraft.
32:01Obviously, if his injury is totally gone, I get that.
32:04But all those middle round tight ends, you're sacrificing running backs and wide receivers that I think are more valuable shots to take.
32:11So I won't have him if he was in, you know, if he drops to the 10th round like he should, I would pull the trigger on him.
32:21I do think that there is enough talent there.
32:23They paid the man. There's enough opportunity there. They're really, I mean, let me let me bring up.
32:29Sorry, go ahead and finish. I was just saying, you know, we were talking up Zachariah Branch, a late round draft pick
32:36who weighs, you know, 100 pounds at wide receiver because someone else has to catch the ball there.
32:42A lot of people want to point to the three touchdown 166 yard game in week 15 as, you know, being the
32:49only reason that Kyle Pitts had a good fantasy season.
32:53It kind of, he turned it on from week 13 on.
32:56And I know Drake London, the injury, but you saw the ability 82 yards, 90 yards, 166, 57, 58 yards.
33:03It was a good end of the season. They paid him the money.
33:07He was going to have suitors. I'm in. Yeah.
33:10I'm trying to do the thing. We said wipe the slate clean and look at it objectively.
33:15And to me, like, let me give you an example.
33:19My, my league of record team is going to need a tight end.
33:23It, I mean, but that's it really. And it's a, it is the strongest roster in the, whatever the 20 years strongest roster going into season.
33:31That's a lot of pressure. Oh, I, it's, it's factual information.
33:35Yeah. Yeah. Did you want me to read it?
33:38Yeah, I will. Uh, Josh Allen, please. Jameer Gibbs.
33:41Okay. Kenneth Walker, Devon H and CD lamb on Ross St.
33:44Brown. Right. In a three keeper. Yeah. Three keepers.
33:47You have managed to take everyone's keepers. Yes. This is everyone asked me when I posted that this morning, they go, how
33:54do you have six keepers in a three keeper league?
33:58Mm-hmm. After our keeper deadline, you can trade picks for players.
34:01I had a lot of picks. I traded for some of the players.
34:05If you don't win. Oh, what an embarrassment. I know we're setting this season up this way.
34:11I want to get it out of the way.
34:14Um, terrifying. You've had a super team before. And it lost a lot of games.
34:19It started, uh, poorly. Jason, let me ask you a question.
34:22Poorly. Super teams don't win, man. Super team over here.
34:26Uh-huh. The superest of- It is the superest of super teams.
34:29It's the superest of super teams that the league of record has ever seen before.
34:34Yes. Week one. I would be going for a repeat.
34:37Mm-hmm. Which- Who am I rooting for? Yeah, which would you prefer to not happen?
34:42Oh, Andy. I want Andy to win a hundred times more.
34:46Okay. So you are on team, super team. Mike going- Just for the record.
34:50That is like the question of, is Deshaun Watson a better- You said- Sir, you're telling me two terrible options.
34:57Two terrible options. But you love the Dodgers, right?
35:00Is that what you're saying? Jason does love super teams.
35:03Like when Kevin Durant joined the Warriors, you were like, that's what I'm signed up for.
35:08I will say this. I want the Dodgers to break baseball so that they fix it.
35:13I want them to- This was a Kyle Pitts discussion.
35:17Not lose another game until you- All I'm saying is, is like, Kyle Pitts is one of the targets for me late
35:24in the draft, depending on where he dropped. I have a- What I was going to say- And if you want to
35:31take him from me, I dare you. Like I already have Kyle Pitts projected under market.
35:36So he's not a player that will be a target for me.
35:40Okay. Well, Jason- We'll move on to a player that I am embarrassed to love because it just seems like old busted
35:47for a young third year wide receiver. Old busted, Roma Dunze.
35:51Nobody likes him. It's Colson Loveland. It's Luther Burden.
35:54You look at the ADP right now, Luther Burden is, everyone is in love.
35:58You watch the film, I'm in love. But also, we're projecting him to have to usurp Roma Dunze in targets in a
36:05way that he didn't do last year. You know, you look at last year, Rome led the team in first-read targets, led
36:12the team in first-read target share when Caleb was pressured.
36:16Like that was the guy that he looked to.
36:19Now, maybe that whole thing flips. Fine. But what if it doesn't?
36:22Because one of these guys is sitting in the sixth round and Roma Dunze, here's the thing that the embarrassing thing for me to say.
36:31I think he's good. And I feel like that's- That's pretty embarrassing.
36:34Yeah. See, like Mike, you talk crap about Rome.
36:37You know, oh, I can't separate. You know, he's slow.
36:41Now you got the foot problem. I'm embarrassed, but- So you're embarrassed then.
36:45You must have Rome above Burden. Otherwise, it wouldn't be embarrassing.
36:48I have Rome and Burden basically back to back in my rankings.
36:52I have Rome in almost every draft. We just did a mock draft, you know, Friday, our last episode.
36:58I took Rome in that. You have consistently been on the Rome side.
37:03Yeah. And just as a reminder, I brought this up in the early off season, but to remind you or if you're
37:10back for the first time, Roma Dunze in year two, as a top 10 NFL draft pick in year two, broke out.
37:17He was awesome. The first month of the season, he was the wide receiver three in fantasy.
37:22He got injured leading into the week nine game.
37:25That's when he popped up on the injury report with the foot issue.
37:30So that's a big chunk of the first half of the season.
37:34He was a wide receiver one going into week nine.
37:37That seven game stretch. He was on pace for 136 targets, 75 receptions, 1150 yards and 12 touchdowns.
37:43He had 27 in zone targets in his first two years, seventh most among wide receivers.
37:48He's a good player. Then he got then he got his foot injured.
37:52Couldn't really play well the next few games. He was on pace that next stretch for 44 receptions, 639 yards like he was he was bad.
38:00So they shelved them and he had to deal with the foot injury.
38:05Now we're into the next season year three. It used to be the year two breakout for wide receivers.
38:11That was like for fantasy. You just always draft year two wide receivers.
38:15Then all of a sudden year one wide receivers were so good that year two that kind of took steps back like Lad McConkie and Brian Thomas Jr.
38:24The year three for some of these guys. JSN had that year three breakout.
38:29I love Roma Dunze and Marvin Harrison Jr. And I'm embarrassed to admit that because it's a little gross.
38:35They suck in there, but they're in the exact same situation.
38:38I want the Bears player with Caleb and Ben Johnson in that situation.
38:43But I look, I love Roma Dunze and drafts.
38:46And maybe it's maybe it's a mistake, but I will be the one making it.
38:50I think I think part of what people have trouble with is saying they love Roma Dunze means that they love him more than those other two guys.
39:00Yeah, the idea that Rome leads this team in targets, I think to most people is like that's not going to happen.
39:07And for me, I go. It is possible. That's that's it is possible.
39:11I have him. I basically have him and Loveland as almost near the same in targets, both equally leading this team.
39:18Well, speaking of the Chicago Bears, I'm right here with you.
39:21Wait, did you both pick Bears? Yeah. Yeah, mine.
39:24It makes sense about this all summer. I don't even know if you're embarrassed anymore.
39:29Did we pick this just because it's embarrassed? Oh, OK, Mike.
39:33Yeah. Oh, I didn't get my swish out. Dag gum it.
39:36I couldn't on me. I couldn't tell if I loved it or hate it.
39:41Is it embarrassing? If I had said so embarrassing to like bears.
39:45And no, but in the name. But this is just because this is a personal one for me.
39:51It's DeAndre Swift. If you have been a listener of the fantasy footballers podcast for any stretch of time.
39:57You have basically heard me say only negative things about DeAndre Swift.
40:01I have been part of your plot. I have relished every opportunity I could to dunk on DeAndre Swift.
40:07I don't know if he probably wasn't in embarrassed to love, but it's like last year coming into the season.
40:13I kind of liked a seventh round rookie running back in Kyle Monunga because I disliked DeAndre Swift so much.
40:20I'm like, give me anyone on this team who can play running back because Swift tremendous top tier athlete.
40:26His skills at the running back position, I think have been lackluster, but now at this point, it doesn't matter and why it's embarrassing.
40:34DeAndre Swift is going as a running back 24 of ADP over on sleeper in the fifth round.
40:40I have him as a fringe running back one.
40:43I am my chips are so in on DeAndre Swift.
40:46The situation is fantastic. Last year, he set career highs and rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, rush success rate yards from scrimmage because he is athletic.
40:54We saw, you know, we saw his success on the Eagles when he had a good offensive line.
41:00He's so fast. He can make things happen. The Chicago offensive line plus the Ben Johnson scheme.
41:05So last what the Bears were able to accomplish with Ben Johnson.
41:09They went from 21st to third in rush success rate.
41:12And this is a team that had Swift on 2024 yards before contact with from 26 to six their PFF run block rank from 14 to third.
41:21Like this is a strong offensive line. It's an offensive guru.
41:25And DeAndre Swift is the main guy. And now Kyle Mononga is dealing with his own.
41:30What's going on with him? He's dealing with an injury.
41:33It was like this weird, mysterious thing. He he he will be back.
41:37But the point is, you can get a hot start here from a player who's barely being drafted as a running back 24.
41:45They're favored in what five of their first six games, Carolina, Minnesota, Philly, the Jets.
41:50That's the first four matchups for DeAndre Swift. I don't think his ADP makes sense.
41:55It's disgusting. I'm having to swallow my pride on this one and just say that DeAndre Swift is.
42:00I think he's one of the best picks in the draft right now.
42:05Yeah, you've been pretty consistent with that. And then the Mononga injury news is just compounding it.
42:10It it almost feels like they became resigned to the reality that Swift works in this offense and they're going to use him.
42:18Yeah. The last I see about the Mononga news, he hyperextended his knee.
42:22It's going to miss multiple weeks. It is not known what his status will be for week one.
42:28We're making memes about DeAndre Swift over here. It's just happening.
42:31What are the other two? You guys have a couple.
42:35I mentioned Ramondre. Do you have a couple other names?
42:38I can give mine because it is disgusting. It's it's the three.
42:42Well, what happened was I did the three headed dragon and I put Roma Dunsay on there.
42:47And now the I know the producers are running away with it.
42:51He did the three headed dragon where it was Rome.
42:54Well, no, it was Loveland and Burton are the serious ones.
42:58And then there's Dunice on the edge and it's Roma Dunsay.
43:02I'll throw out the name because this one is it's wild, but it is.
43:06I'm throwing it out. Marshawn Lloyd. You love him.
43:09I am just I'm fading Josh Jacobs for better or for worse for this season.
43:14Like all that. There are reasons why Josh Jacobs makes complete sense as a fantasy pick and everything should just be full status quo.
43:22He was an absolute touchdown machine. You know, they just dealt with the the efficiency he had last year.
43:28They just dealt with it. I mean, partly because Marshawn Lloyd can't stay on the field, but I'm just I'm at the
43:35point now where I I'm not drafting Josh Jacobs and it's the well, let's take let's take some shots at this Green Bay.
43:42I like Green Bay's offense and maybe Marshawn Lloyd will end up being the player that they drafted in the third round a couple years ago.
43:51So so I'm just I'm it's kind of like that hedge.
43:54If you're going to fade one player, take a shot on the other one who's Marshawn Lloyd is completely free in drafts
44:02and maybe he gets more work than you are anticipating right now.
44:05Yeah, maybe a maybe a late last second suspension for Jacobs doesn't seem like it's going to happen.
44:11But if you draft Lloyd and then all of a sudden there's suspension and then there's just like I said, his the efficiency great on the goal line.
44:20But in between, I will say in support of yours, there has been more very similar to my argument for Mason.
44:27There's been more wide zone runs, which definitely does not fit Jay Jacobs and does fit Marshawn Lloyd.
44:33I am not fading Jacobs. I think he's going to be fantastic this year because great offense.
44:39Like you said, you want a good piece of that.
44:42I think Jacob plays the season and is great and scores, you know, 12 plus touchdowns.
44:47But if you're fading him, that's a good pick.
44:50I'll throw one name out there. I'm embarrassed to love Dalton Kincaid because I've been in and gotten burned on him before.
44:57You know, it's like his sophomore year. I was very bullish.
45:01I thought he was going to break out. He has hurt his knee from that point forward and never been healthy.
45:07But this camp people have talked about. He's more involved in every facet.
45:12He's been at every single practice. His knee is healthy for the first time in years.
45:17And if you look at like targets per route run, yards per route run, those types, he's 2.73 yards per route run.
45:24Best of all tight ends in the league. He's just playing 30% of snaps.
45:29If he plays 70% of snaps for the bills, if these trends continue, I mean, I will have 2000 yards.
45:35Yeah. So I'm just saying if he gets more opportunities for a great quarterback that could use him, it'd be good for a late round tight end.
45:44I'll throw another name out there since I spoiled Ramondre earlier.
45:47I'll just say Malik Willis has been in that camp for me all hours.
45:52Oh, I'm with it. So I think Malik Willis, I think the Dolphins in general, like I made a trade for A-chan
45:59and I gave up Hampton and I gave up more to get.
46:03Well, you got Josh Allen back too. No, I know.
46:06But I mean, just on paper, I gave up.
46:09But the bet is on A-chan. Yeah. I mean, even when I was negotiating with the A-chan manager, they wanted a lot more than Hampton.
46:17And it's like, I'm still willing to do it because my belief in A-chan is that.
46:23And this is Devon A-chan. Not the junior. Yeah.
46:25Just because you were talking about trying to trade for the other.
46:29Yeah. With you. Second A-chan. Anybody named A-chan, I'm kind of into that.
46:34Trevor's still out there. But yeah, I think Malik Willis and the Dolphins could be a little bit interesting in general.
46:40So let's go ahead and take a break and do some mailbag.
46:44Oh man, I almost hit the embarrassed to love drop again.
46:48I would have been embarrassed. That brought me good.
46:51Mailbag. Mailbag. Woo! All right. Okay, here we go.
46:54Evan in North Carolina. By the way, if you have a question for the show, we are here to help you win your league.
47:01Go to the website, thefantasyfootballers.com, click that submit a question button, or Jason, they can dial the voicemail hotline.
47:08Just don't mess up. 302-464-TFFB. Or please mess up.
47:11If you mess up, we will hear it. Brooks will, and then he'll laugh.
47:15Evan in North Carolina. Have you ever taken a first round keeper?
47:19I'm trying to decide between CMC as a late first or Kyle Pitts in the 10th.
47:24That's an easy CMC. How would you CMC? And that's coming from the guy that is embarrassed to love Kyle Pitts.
47:31What you've got to do is ask yourself at the end of the draft, which player you want to see on your team.
47:38Yeah, taking a first round pick on a keeper is normal if it is a high end guy or you don't have any better options.
47:47Jonathan in Los Angeles, sup ballers, knowing that the substation requires NFL human sacrifices and Christian McCaffrey seems to be quietly in danger.
47:54Who do you like for the 49ers backup job?
47:57Kalen Black? Jordan James? Who is hurt, but I think we're turned to practice.
48:02Yeah, it's been Kalen Black by default. I came into this offseason definitely on the Jordan James side.
48:07And it seemed like Jordan James was the correct backup, but then he's been injured the whole camp.
48:13So to be honest right now, I'm not really in on either of them.
48:18Like in the draft, drafting insurance backs is fine if you have complete, like, you know, Blake Corum will be that guy
48:25who gets the role should the starter be injured.
48:28You don't know here. So this is more of a situation I'll pick up off of the waiver wire.
48:34And I will say the substation human sacrifice portion of this, I think I'm starting to realize that's why they brought Mike Evans in.
48:42They brought him in because he can keep getting injured over and over and over.
48:47They are one. Whoa! That one got me in.
48:50Yeah, me too, man. That went straight to the spine.
48:53That's what that's like. That was pretty scary. I liked it when there was no sound.
48:58Yeah, the pieces of Mike Evans' body are slowly being disassembled to sacrifice for Christian McCaffrey is what it seems like.
49:05Which is such a shame. I wanted Mike Evans.
49:08He's such a perfect fit. If he's healthy, he's going to be great any week that he's out there, which will be at least three.
49:16On the other hand, though, he's the worst fit to go to San Francisco ever.
49:21Yes. A team that just deals with injury. I mean, I'll tell you this right now.
49:26I've got some stats for you on their injury history coming up on the live show.
49:31It's going to blow your mind. Andre in Rhode Island.
49:34Jason keeps mentioning his Felix model. What exactly is the Felix model?
49:38The Felix model is kind of a machine learning.
49:41I have tens of thousands of different data pieces that from college production, physical traits, attributes, all of that.
49:47Draft capital. Yeah, draft capital once that's once that's figured out.
49:51And then it's a specific position by position scoring that models based on what has happened in the past to try to find successful predictive analytics.
49:59And so essentially it puts players in a percentile score within their position of hopeful future success.
50:05And so this is the first year I've had it, but we back test the data and it looks great going backwards.
50:12So I'm excited to see how it goes for this year's prospects.
50:16This is mostly dynasty stuff. Yeah, it's definitely a score to project incoming players who have not played a snap in the
50:23NFL and what their likelihood of success is based on all the analytics.
50:27And you can, my Felix model is in the UDK.
50:31So if you've got the ultimate draft kit, which you should get.
50:34It's in the dynasty pass. Yeah. So take a look there.
50:38YouTube question from before. Where can you find fun competitive leagues to play in?
50:43You mentioned a platform once. I cannot remember it.
50:46Thank you. Our suggestion would be footclanleagues.com, which really just puts you into our discord.
50:50Yeah. And that will connect you with all sorts of great people that you can find leagues with.
50:56However, right now, if you're looking for a great league, I don't know, man, maybe, maybe get to the Megalowl, Megalowl.com that
51:03we're all playing in it and you get a chance to win a listener league spot next year.
51:09If you win. And an ultimate footclanet membership for life.
