A.J. Brown

NegativeMatchup42:18

The source notes that A.J. Brown faces a very tough matchup in week one against Seattle, and his performance will be a key indicator of the Patriots' offensive success.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveValue13:31

The source considers Blake Corum one of the best picks in fantasy football and a potential superstar. The source actively targeted him in drafts, viewing him as a high-value asset.

Insight page
PositiveUsage23:12

The source identifies Corum as a high-end insurance back with standalone value who should receive weekly touches regardless of the starter's health, making him a flexible asset from week one.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveValue13:19

The source is high on Bucky Irving, noting he is 24 years old and has fully recovered from a previous shoulder injury. The source expressed enough confidence in his upside to draft him in multiple leagues.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout24:40

The source expresses high confidence in Bucky Irving, noting that he is now the primary backup and has significant potential, with the source admitting to being a secret fan of his talent.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveUsage32:17

Caleb Douglas is a rookie wide receiver for the Dolphins who the source expects to play 75-plus percent of snaps from week one, giving him immediate fantasy potential.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveUsage23:12

Rodriguez is viewed as a high-end insurance back with standalone value who should see weekly touches and function as a flexible fantasy asset from the start of the season.

Insight page

Cooper Kupp

NegativeUsage43:33

The source mentions Cooper Kupp as a starting wide receiver for the Seahawks who saw 12 targets in the Super Bowl, suggesting he is a player to monitor for involvement.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection47:00

The source warns that Drake Maye's offense might struggle in Week 1 against Seattle, advising fantasy managers not to overreact to potential early-season disasters as the team integrates new pass catchers.

Insight page

George Holani

PositiveRole17:15

The source identifies George Holani as the unquestioned goal-line running back for the Seattle Seahawks, making him a viable late-round or flex consideration.

Insight page

Hunter Henry

PositiveProjection46:19

The source expects Hunter Henry to dominate in Week 1, noting that he often performs well early in the season and could benefit from Seattle's defense potentially focusing on locking down wide receivers.

Insight page

Isiah Pacheco

NegativeValue51:17

The source describes using a final-round draft pick on Isaiah Pacheco to stash him on IR as a 'disgusting' but effective strategy to acquire a free player, noting it is a common tactic for managers with no other options.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveValue44:34

The source leans toward starting Jadarian Price over Rhamondre Stevenson in Week 1, noting that if you drafted Price, you likely took him ahead of Stevenson. While the matchup against Seattle is tough, the source views the decision as nearly a coin flip.

Insight page
PositiveUsage45:23

The source prefers Jadarian Price over Rhamondre Stevenson for week one, noting the Seahawks' defensive struggles against running backs last season.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveUsage28:35

The source believes Jonah Coleman would move into a high-touch role if J.K. Dobbins misses time, making him a preferred stash over R.J. Harvey.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeInjury20:52

The source expresses significant concern regarding Jonathan Brooks' health, noting he is still working to the side at practice. The source admits to being 'terrified' of his injury status despite wanting to be invested in him.

Insight page
PositiveUsage23:12

Brooks is categorized as a high-end insurance back with standalone value who is expected to be involved in the offense and serve as a startable, flexible asset starting in week one.

Insight page

Josh Allen

NegativeMatchup46:54

Despite a tough Week 1 road matchup against Houston, the source advises against benching Josh Allen. While he struggled in a similar spot last year (scoring eight points in Week 12), the source maintains that Allen is capable of overcoming difficult matchups.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeUsage30:50

The source expects Josh Jacobs to return to the field in the second half of the season following his legal situation. The source notes that if Marshawn Lloyd performs well during Jacobs' absence, the backfield distribution could change upon Jacobs' return.

Insight page

Kimani Vidal

PositiveValue28:29

The source suggests Kamani Vidal would have significantly more value than Keaton Mitchell if the starter (Hampton) were to miss time, making him a notable depth chart target.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveProjection13:54

Despite drafting Blake Corum, the source maintains a positive outlook on Kyren Williams, projecting him to be a top-12 running back this season.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveProjection33:31

The source notes that Malik Nabers is expected to be ready for Sunday night. The release of Darius Slayton is viewed as a positive indicator for Nabers' target share and role.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveSleeper16:32

The source views Malik Willis as a strong end-of-draft quarterback option with significant top-five upside due to his rushing ability.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper36:51

The source is high on Malik Willis as a QB2 stash, noting his rushing upside and the likelihood that he will be forced to throw and run frequently due to his team's receiver situation.

Insight page
PositiveValue49:06

While the source advises against starting Malik Willis over Josh Allen, they acknowledge that Willis is a viable start over players like Patrick Mahomes or Bo Nix in Week 1, depending on the specific roster situation.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveBreakout32:17

The source suggests that drafting Marshawn Lloyd is a bet on his potential. If he proves to be talented during the games Josh Jacobs misses, he could carve out a permanent role in the offense.

Insight page
NegativeValue45:23

The source has Jadarian Price ranked just a couple of spots ahead of MarShawn Lloyd for Week 1, suggesting that while Lloyd is a viable option, Price remains the slightly higher-ranked play.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon

PositiveValue28:13

Despite being third on the depth chart, the source prefers Ollie Gordon as a talent-based stash over Jalen Wright, though acknowledges he may be a short-term hold.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveValue27:08

The source considers Puka Nacua a top-five dynasty asset, noting that even if he were to leave the Rams, his talent would likely secure him a massive contract from a wide receiver-needy team.

Insight page

Rashid Shaheed

PositiveUsage43:52

The source expects Rashid Shaheed to be more schemed up and targeted than Cooper Kupp at this stage of his career.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveUsage45:44

The source notes that Rhamondre Stevenson is expected to catch a high volume of passes, which is a key factor in his favor for Week 1. Seattle allowed the highest running back target share last year, and if Stevenson secures four or more receptions, he is projected to be a decent start.

Insight page

Tank Bigsby

PositiveUsage29:05

Tank Bigsby is highlighted as a high-end insurance back who has looked fantastic on his touches and remains a player to monitor.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveSleeper34:04

Terrence Ferguson is a tight end stash to monitor in week one to see if his route participation and target share warrant a roster spot.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveSleeper15:12

The source highlights Woody Marks as a late-round target, citing the potential for a 50/50 timeshare in the Houston backfield as a realistic and compelling argument for his fantasy value.

Insight page
PositiveUsage30:42

The source believes Woody Marks could see a 60-40 split with David Montgomery and potentially start in certain league formats, noting that Marks looked better during the preseason.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

PositiveValue51:57

The source expresses a clear preference for Zach Charbonnet over Isaiah Pacheco as a late-round target, noting that Charbonnet is rarely available in the final round of drafts.

0:00to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
0:05Welcome in! That was upsetting to my soul. I find that pretty offensive.
0:09Guys, I mean, was that spot on? Deucers are nodding.
0:13Andy nailed it. The end of that was troubling to me.
0:16Is that how you hear my voice? That's how you hear my voice.
0:20Welcome in! Look, your voice is still struggling. We couldn't have week one opening without him.
0:26Especially after our league record draft, all the shouting and screaming last night.
0:30I'm all for substitutionary welcomes and we can make other people rotate through until I get back to full strength.
0:37But, I'm here. And we had our league of record draft last night.
0:41That did not help the vocal recovery, I would say.
0:44It did help the Mike celebratory. Oh man. Mike was the super duper champ last year.
0:50Yes. And so he won in our dynasty and our league of record and he has enjoyed that very much.
0:56And so the champ often does something special at the draft.
1:00And Mike, when I showed up, there were two banners bigger than I knew they could make that had been hung from the walls.
1:08One of them very inappropriately hung. He's removed things from the wall to get these to fit.
1:13I mean, they are gigantic super banners. Which, okay, step one.
1:17Complete. I expected a super banner. Then, I rolled up and there were some hints that he had brought in a bartender.
1:24And so there was a bartender with a bar.
1:27He had hung his own banner from that. And then he had his own custom cocktail.
1:33Yes. Which was actually quite delicious. Very refreshing. And Al had so many he drafted all wide receivers the whole night long.
1:40And so it was part of my, like, I didn't really have picks.
1:44Right. So it was part of my strategy was get everyone to make mistakes.
1:49Get people off of their game. Let the players drop to me.
1:53They didn't drop to me. No, no, they didn't.
1:56But I mean, your team's all right. But so then we get going and like, we're all set up and we're getting ready for the draft.
2:04And then the icing on the cake was in roles, two fine gentlemen, part of a jazz duo.
2:10Yes. So we had live jazz right next to Mike's drafting.
2:14We did not write bass and guitar, which was dude.
2:17It was unbelievable. Honestly, when they showed up, I felt bad for them.
2:22I was like, these guys don't want to be here in this room of fantasy football nerds doing a draft.
2:28And they're like, why are we here? Why are you paying us to do live jazz music here?
2:34But then it was awesome. They loved it. And every time they stopped to take a break or something, it was like,
2:41this is this is not as good as when they were playing.
2:45No. And I will say, on the other hand, I think the bartender had the time of his life.
2:52He is normally dealing with mother in laws at weddings and ends up at the league of record draft.
2:58And it was a good time. So that's what we did last night.
3:02And now, mercifully, a new season begins. Not a not a year of Mike.
3:07Right now. It's over. That's right. Yeah, it's over.
3:10And we're covering the years a game. His dynasty team is still insane.
3:14On this episode. Yeah, Mike's dynasty team. If it doesn't win five straight from here on out, he'll be bummed.
3:21But you were saying we're going to cover an actual game today.
3:25We have football starting. Listen to this tomorrow. Oh, but tomorrow is Wednesday.
3:29That is, in fact, what the NFL is willing to do.
3:33Any day. All the time. I'll forgive it on week one.
3:36Yeah, I'm fine. Week one. I'll forgive it. But don't worry, there's a Thursday game.
3:41Yeah, no, that's great. It's Thursday football. And then also Sunday and Monday.
3:45And it's going to be great. And we're finally here.
3:49And 99% of you have drafted your teams. There are still megalo bowl drafts taking place.
3:54I believe Papa Josh, you're back there. Did we add a I don't want to speak out of turn.
4:00Yes. We have a noon Wednesday draft. Correct. So we have our final megalo bowl drafts.
4:06And apologies for those that drafted in the very first spot.
4:09There was a bump with the sleeper system. We had to redraft a couple of leagues and that's never happened before.
4:16But apologies on that. Um, drafts have been happening.
4:19If you want to get in the megalo bowl, it is official.
4:23We have the most people that have ever been in the megalo bowl.
4:27Oh, baby. This year. And you can go to megalo bowl.com.
4:31It is our super league 22 to 25,000 range right now.
4:35I'm not sure what the exact number is. I know we passed the record, but there's drafts today.
4:41Yes, there's a draft at 8 p.m. Eastern tonight.
4:44So if you want to draft tonight, you can still get in.
4:48And there's another draft tomorrow. Uh, that were the games at noon or noon.
4:52Uh, I believe it's 1 30 p.m. Eastern. Yeah.
4:55Yeah. Let's track this down. There was a lot of different.
4:59I thought it was noon. No, noon central. It is not.
5:03I mean, it's close. It's noon 30 central noon 30.
5:06One third. I'm looking right now. I'm, I'll tell you right now.
5:10I'm in that queue. So that's where I'm going to be draft times.
5:14Always display in your local time zone. Yeah. Our UK friends, whatever draft time shows up is your local draft.
5:21It'll show it right there. So I'm looking at 10 30 a.m.
5:25Tomorrow for our time is when I will be drafting.
5:28So hopefully everybody's drafts went really well this past weekend.
5:31About 50% of, uh, I think we had about 50% of the people drafted had, had a big draft this weekend.
5:38Uh, so it's fun. It's time to go. We got to, we got to finally see how players perform.
5:45We got tons of stuff on today's show. We got the waiver wire looking at undrafted gyms guys that you can pick
5:52up, maybe see what happens in week one. I think that's the biggest.
5:56I'm going to need these names. Post draft tip.
5:59Mike does. Mike is, uh, his team is thin.
6:02Yeah. His team is strong, but thin as they would say stars and scrubs.
6:07Yes. So we'll talk waiver wire undrafted gyms today.
6:10We will preview the Wednesday night football game. If we have time, we'll get in some mailbag.
6:15We got news to cover. We got a lot going on.
6:19And of course all season long, 17 weeks, join the community.
6:23Use the ultimate dashboard, get your, uh, start, sit tool, all of the rankings, tons of free stuff on the website, the
6:30fantasy footballers.com always going to have resources for you.
6:33Um, we have continued to refine our weekly rankings processes individually.
6:36You're talking 12 years worth of iteration and improvement to try to give you an advantage each and every week.
6:43We want to help everybody out, whether you're a part of the foot clan or not tons of free resources, articles.
6:50Kyle, the board Gogan is in the house today.
6:53Yeah, he is. Uh, he was in for the draft yesterday, recorded a show this morning.
6:58And, uh, he is our editor in chief taking care of business with the articles.
7:03And those are all for free available at the fantasy footballers.com as well.
7:07So quick question of the day is one of my favorite of all time because it's just true.
7:13And so this, this quick question of the day is amazing.
7:17It is who is a player that you might've been on the fence about, but now that you drafted him and I'm
7:24going to say last night in our draft, you're behind him 100%.
7:28Right. You really see the arguments for this player now.
7:32And, um, I mean, I could tell you one, I could tell you the most truthful one because it is exactly what
7:39you're saying where I was really on the fence until on the clock, me and my co-manager, we talked ourselves into the upside.
7:47And since that time I was like, you've now confirmed it.
7:50I've confirmed it. We were in an, we're in another draft right now.
7:54And I took him again. Oh yeah. Um, it's, it's, it's Bucky Irving.
7:59Amazing. Bucky Irving is so good guys. I am sure.
8:0224 years old. He's still young. He was dealing with a shoulder injury.
8:06That injury has passed. It's wheels up, baby. He's in flight.
8:10Also. I drafted Blake Corum. He is going to be a sensational superstar.
8:14Blake Corum one is awesome. I mean, to be fair, I have, I have not changed on Blake Corum.
8:21No, but you drafting him as comedic. I want, I mean, I went into that draft saying, I have to leave this draft with Blake Corum.
8:29He's one of the best picks in fantasy. That's like, I know I am Mr.
8:34Kyron Williams. I still am. I think Kyron is going to be a top 12 running back.
8:40He misses Blake Corum. Hey, you, you available? Blake.
8:43Uh, no, I love Blake Corum. He's an excellent back.
8:46Uh, should be, you know, right now because he's on your team, would you say you're kind of rooting for like Blake
8:53Corum to take over the backfield and like dominate?
8:56Um, because he's on my team. Yes. Yeah. I don't have Kyron.
9:00I have Blake. So come on. Um, I hope I'm wrong about Kyron.
9:05My, my, my player in this category of on the fence about, but once I drafted him, I'm a hundred percent about
9:12was Woody marks, Woody marks who I got so late in this draft.
9:16I wanted to add a little running back depth and I was trying to talk myself into who was available.
9:23And you know what? I realized right after I drafted Woody marks that those 50, 50 timeshare conversations in Houston really rung true to me.
9:31You know what I mean? They really seemed authentic and real.
9:35And I, you know, old busted David, my opportunity, just pretty much on the edge of retirement trying to tell you, Woody marks.
9:42I mean, this guy is explosive and who says the young guy can't take over the backfield.
9:48So, so obviously, um, change of heart there right about the eighth round.
9:52And, uh, it wasn't a change of heart, but Malik Willis, I just have gone from being like, this is, this is
9:59a good end of draft pick as like a QB two, which he, that's what he is for me too.
10:06I mean, the guy's just oozing with top five upside clearly.
10:10I mean, with the amount that the amount that he's going to run and where's what it look, Chris Bell, it's totally going to work.
10:18He's his ACL is very fine. Um, and special shout out speaking my language, Mike, a special shout out here because Kyle is in the building.
10:27And if you listen to the fancy MVP show, Kyle had some strong words for this character who is now on our team, George Halani.
10:35Come on down. You're a Halani bro. Oh man.
10:38We're fully in. We're the guy. Unbelievable. Unquestioned goal line running back for the Seattle Seahawks.
10:43I mean, if you want to know where Mike was draft pick wise yesterday, just speak George Halani's name.
10:49That's about where, uh, you were drafting players. You might have to flex at that point.
10:55Yeah. I will. Come on. Who out there? How many drafts are going on where Halani is not being drafted?
11:01Lots. I think, I think everyone. No, I think everyone.
11:05Well, not everyone. Not as I drafted him. That's true.
11:08Cause he's eight touchdowns coming in. I'm just, Al, was there anybody in this category for you?
11:13I know I'm putting you on the spot, but I know you, you have a lot of white outs and things like that.
11:21Um, was there anybody that you drafted that you were like on the fence about, but now are convinced might perform for your team?
11:29No, I knew they'd all be great. Okay. All right.
11:32We'll just go right into the news. News and notes from around the league.
11:37In the, uh, the least exciting announcement of all time.
11:40The Falcons announced to a tongue of Iloa will start in week one against their time.
11:46Yeah. Uh, one week before kickoff and they know who their starter is.
11:50I think this is a pinnocks not ready to go yet, or at least that's how it's being approached because that gives
11:57them, uh, the ability to say, you were always going to be the starter I took to a tongue of Iloa in a draft.
12:05It was, you don't have some things you don't have to say.
12:09It was an eight. Yeah. That was a game final pick of the draft.
12:14He was in my queue. He was the last quarterback that anyone could take.
12:18That wasn't a full backup. It was crazy. Shane Steichen.
12:22This is good news that Alec Pierce is expected to play in week one against the Ravens.
12:27Come on. All good news. We want all good news this week.
12:31Roma Dunze was not seen practicing. Oh, didn't you listen to Mike a second ago?
12:36Yeah. We want all good news. Just the good stuff.
12:39No, I didn't. See, it's what you sound like.
12:42Um, Roma Dunze not practicing, but Kyle Manunga is back at practice.
12:46DeAndre Swift back at practice. Yes. Jonathan Brooks worked to the side at practice again on Monday.
12:52Oh, man. General Soreness. Oh, General. Salute to you.
12:55Let me say this. I realized something about- He's keeping Brooks on the sideline.
13:00I want to be in on Jonathan Brooks, but let me tell you, I am a weak-willed individual when it comes to that.
13:07I realize that if I see one, like one step on a clip from him at practice that doesn't look right, I
13:14all of a sudden want to be so out and like Chuba for life.
13:19Like I am terrified of Jonathan Brooks. But it could work.
13:23But it might not work. Yeah. What team does he play for, Jay?
13:27Uh, he plays for the Dead Ringers, Andy. Oh, okay.
13:30Yeah. Cause I drafted him and he's going to be so great.
13:34Yeah. I'm in. Uh, Cardinals head coach Michael Forrest said he's optimistic.
13:38Jeremiah Love will be able to play on Sunday against the Chargers.
13:42You'd love to see that. We would. Um, I don't like that verbiage for week one.
13:48I mean- What, what will happen? I just realized this.
13:51I mean, it doesn't seem possible, but what will happen if when we come in on Monday next week, the Chargers who
13:58are supposed to be great lose to the Arizona Cardinals this weekend, what would happen to your brains?
14:04That's just- Because the Chargers are the perfect team that could, like of any team that would, if they lost to the
14:11Cardinals, you'd be like, of course it's the Chargers.
14:14Yeah. I mean, what would happen would be a complete deflation of everything you believe in for the Chargers.
14:21And maybe life. Yeah. I mean, it's all fun and games, but it can't happen.
14:26And that also means the Arizona Cardinals will be one game out of drafting Arch or Dante.
14:31Kyle said that the Chargers are the number one survivor pool pick right now for week one.
14:37Oh, don't do that. Uh-oh. And he says he can't click it out of fear.
14:42The Chargers just completely disintegrating 92% of survivor pools in week one.
14:46I mean, do we want the comedy? Don't we just want to see the world burn?
14:51Sometimes. And I can see how the Cardinals can score on the Chargers.
14:55I just cannot see how the Cardinals can stop the Chargers offense ever.
15:00There's no defense there. Is that game in? It's in LA, right?
15:04It's in LA. Oh, boy. Just saying. It'd be funny.
15:07I assume it's the highest spread of the week.
15:10It's at 10 and a half. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
15:13Take me over. Travion Henderson did not practice again Sunday or Monday.
15:17He has not practiced since suffering an ankle injury on August 24th.
15:21The bailout continues for Jason. New England versus Seattle tomorrow.
15:24We're previewing that game. It doesn't seem like Travion is going to be out there.
15:29No. No, certainly not. Speaking on Pat McAfee's show.
15:32I will say, I'm sorry. We're covering the game.
15:35We're covering the game. Even if he plays, I don't think you can start him.
15:40Adam Schefter said there's a real possibility that Pukunukua avoids any discipline this season.
15:45Who said that? Shm-Adam Schmefter. Thank you. See, you know what stinks is his last name, Mike?
15:50Normally when you try to repronounce, it's like Schmeich Schmeich.
15:54Like certain names don't rhyme well. Fine. You need to come up with a different name for them.
15:59I'll lift the embargo. Are you giving it back?
16:02I'll lift the embargo. You got over it? No.
16:05Okay. But I will lift the embargo. What if I call him Adam Pellicero?
16:10No. Pukunukua might avoid discipline. It is still in the back of everyone's mind that drafts him that he could be, something could happen.
16:18His whole situation is going to be one of the most interesting ones to watch for the next few years.
16:25How do you look at Pukunukua in a dynasty league?
16:28Because he could be the single best dynasty asset.
16:31There's a world where that is, he's top three or not.
16:34I, dynasty wise, I definitely think he's still top five.
16:38I know Andy, you and I disagree on the contract.
16:41Like, I think he'll be a Ram long term.
16:44But let's say you're right. Oh, I don't think he won't.
16:48I just think that there's a chance. Yeah, there's a chance that they don't extend him that, you know, I mean, currently they haven't given him a contract.
16:57I think they're waiting to see if he's back on track.
17:01But let's say he, the Rams are out and he hits the open market.
17:05Like, he's going to get the biggest contract of all time from some wide receiver needy team because he's a great young wide receiver.
17:13So I don't worry about him outside of just being a knucklehead.
17:17And I mean, that's a reason, though. I mean, Rashi Rice, I think, you know, one or two incidents removed is a different place in dynasty.
17:26I just, it makes me more gimmicky than Puka.
17:29Like, oh, yeah, Puka can translate to other teams.
17:32He's probably in the best spot he could ever be in, though.
17:36I mean, oh, yeah, yeah, McVay and Stafford. Josh Jacobs first court hearing has been moved up from November 17th to September 10th.
17:43That's this is a big deal. Convenient. Yeah. One of the things that's really frustrating is that people who respond to what
17:51we say on the show act like time isn't an element of what happens.
17:55And the fact that, like, we said some things about the November 17th date, which had implications on how long he would be out.
18:03Now, if they move the date up two months, that has implications on what will happen.
18:08And so I no longer stand by the same comments because the data has changed.
18:13Yeah. If things change and this is a brand new change, it matters.
18:18And the new impact is that it appears at first glance.
18:21And we don't know if this is going to go to trial, if it's going to be, you know, plead out.
18:28We don't know the future. But this does imply that because they moved it up now that he's on the exempt list
18:36and he can't play football, they're trying to get the process completed quick enough so that his suspension can go soon and
18:43he can get back to football this season. As of this moment, my expectation is that the second half of the season,
18:50you're probably going to have Jacobs back on the field.
18:53We don't know. Yeah. I mean, just do the math.
18:57You're going to miss week one. You're going to have this hearing.
19:01If they reach a settlement soon thereafter, add six weeks, week eight, nine, ten.
19:05Maybe that's when you're seeing him back on the field.
19:09And there has been precedent in the past for games on the commissioner exempt list that are missed, essentially being credited towards.
19:16That's not a guarantee that it would. But the six games, let's say there's two weeks that he's already missed that, you
19:23know, it could just be the first six weeks.
19:26It could be six weeks after that. And there is a world where Marshawn Lloyd shows some stuff and that the distribution
19:33of work changes when he returns and things like that.
19:37That is a, I think if you took Lloyd, I think that's a good takeaway of, like when you take Lloyd, you're betting.
19:44Because is Marshawn Lloyd good in the NFL? We have no idea.
19:48We like the role. And the upside is massive if he is good.
19:53If he is, in fact, good over these next handful of games, I would imagine, I think Jacobs misses six at least because of the allegations.
20:01If Lloyd is good in those six weeks, he will be a part of the team moving forward.
20:07Josh Jacobs won't come back and just completely dominate the running back room.
20:11Lloyd will be involved. Malik Neighbors. ESPN says it looks like he's good to go for Sunday night.
20:17That's what we're talking about. The team released the very expensive Darius Slayton, who was going to be owed $13 million.
20:24Dude. Which is a good sign for neighbors and a good sign for Malachi Fields and a good sign for Isaiah Likely.
20:32They hate him. They hate him. How, that's, the week that the season is starting, you're like, ooh, time to save some cash.
20:39Like, that is so dirty to this player. Like, if you had caught him when you, you wanted to get rid of
20:46him forever ago, let him go find a different team.
20:50I mean, I, I don't know why they hate him.
20:53Because he, you can't. This has to be an, this has to be like a personal thing that they just don't like him.
21:01They also paid him a three-year, $36 million extension.
21:04They had to. Yeah, they've always been backed into having to rely on Slayton, who has been fine.
21:10He's the longest tenured New York giant. Was. Was.
21:13Because the week before the season, they sent him packing.
21:16Jameis Winston, two-year extension. So, if Jackson Dart keeps running like a chicken with his head cut off, Winston is there to help.
21:23And that is a good thing. Yeah, we love it.
21:27Brees Hall trending towards playing week one with the groin injury.
21:30That's good. That'd be a really nice thing to be able to do, his play, if you just drafted him.
21:37And then, what do we have? We have Tyler Smith, left guard for the Cowboys.
21:42Thumb surgery, sideline, four to six weeks. Weekends that offensive line.
21:46Let's take a break. We'll jump into some undrafted gyms.
21:49The Waiver Wire, presented by T-Mobile. All right, it is the Waiver Wire, the first time and only time we'll be doing this segment before the season begins.
21:58Because we always want to talk about some post-draft options on the waivers.
22:02Sometimes you wake up, and you look at your draft, and you go, Hmm.
22:07Hmm. I don't know if I like that guy on the end of my bench there.
22:12Maybe there's a different, better option. So, we want to look at some players that you should pay attention to.
22:19Maybe it means picking them up now. Maybe it means keeping an eye on them.
22:24Right. There's a lot of different ways to go about it.
22:28We'll obviously have Waiver Wire segments each and every Tuesday during the season to talk through the best pickups of the week.
22:35And so, you know, I thought one interesting thing, like I was really working through my headspace, and maybe you guys can help by consulting for me.
22:44I'm in the draft. I have a pretty good team.
22:47My team's all right. Yeah. Yeah. Everybody online was like, So, you play in a four-team league?
22:53No, it's a 12-team. Yeah, but it's a keeper, and you were set up from last year.
22:58Yeah. So, I am thinking to myself, how much am I truly going to value the insurance backs for the players that
23:06I have on this roster that right now looks really good, but we've done all the numbers.
23:11Injuries are, you know, 24% of running backs. Top 24 running backs make it through 17 weeks.
23:17You're going to have injuries. But I also know it just sucks to have an insurance back on your roster in week one.
23:24It doesn't suck in week five, six, seven, even later on, maybe late end of season.
23:30It just sucks in the beginning because I want to be pulling different players off of the waiver wire.
23:36If I draft an insurance back, I feel like I've got to hold them for an injury, and then I get impatient,
23:43and I'd rather be playing around with rookies and things like that.
23:47So, you know, I think it depends on who the insurance back is.
23:52In the situation of guys like Blake Corum, Jonathan Brooks, and Chris Rodriguez-Crod, you still have the opportunity where week one you
23:59learn something and that they are involved and that they are a startable, flexible asset that still has the insurance upside of going higher.
24:07There's others that, you know, are just like Kyle Monungay would just be – he's not going to usurp the number one
24:14role on the team or be so involved. I like Swift, but I like Monungay as a flex with benefit player.
24:21I don't think he's just a pure insurance running back.
24:24Yeah, I think Corum, Brooks, Monungay, Crod for sure, possibly Algier based on workload for love.
24:30Yeah, at least the first few weeks. All those guys should get weekly touches no matter what.
24:35Right. I agree with that. Not the, like, you know, pure backup situation.
24:40Gainwell's probably in that category too. No, Bucky. It's all Bucky now.
24:43Oh, my gosh. Don't you do it to me again, kiddin'.
24:47I'm not sure if we check the tape, and Kyle probably has some, hey, I'm doing it every minute.
24:53I'm not sure if we check the tape if you had said Bucky Irving's name more than three times in the last year.
25:01And there he was on your team. Yeah. You laid that one close to the vest.
25:06Yeah. Yeah, I couldn't let people know. Even Jason didn't know how much he loved Bucky Irving.
25:12I was hiding it from myself until he was the last of a tear, and I had to take him and went, he's going to be great.
25:21That is, it's so fantasy football. When that name popped up, I was like, what?
25:26Yeah, me too. And then followed by Blake Corum.
25:29Who is this guy? A desperate man on draft day.
25:32A man who is inventing his strategy. Jason got thrown off from the jump yesterday.
25:37This was a real issue for us. So our team, we are not good.
25:42Yeah, I mean, so we went all in last year to go after the championship.
25:47At the time, it looked like it was Mike and I.
25:50Which all in in the League of Records for the Newisters is you trade your future picks.
25:56And you move them down. Yeah. So I had basically no picks coming into this year because of last year.
26:02Then I lost my high equity pick, my my gamble of Jonathan Taylor in the lottery.
26:08That stunk. And then my pick spot. There's six studs in this draft, and I got the seventh pick.
26:14So I went into this year going like I am playing for next year.
26:19I traded CeeDee Lamb for Malik Neighbors when it looked like he wasn't going to play the beginning of this year because I figure 2027.
26:27So I'm like going for 2027. Me and my co-manager, we are setting this up, trying to do what Andy did this
26:34year and how he arrived at this, you know, great super team.
26:38And then right at the draft, we're like, okay, do we want to vote on anything?
26:43And the league changes the rules on the number one pick to make it a lot like a playoff system for the bottom four teams.
26:52And you got to win to get the best picks.
26:55And look, we're trying to prevent what you're doing.
26:58Absolutely. I would vote for this any other year.
27:01It's a good thing for a league. But I came in already like I'm already in this strategy.
27:07It's not fair. So I was like, come on, man.
27:10Ten minutes before the draft, you're changing this? I've been working this strat for months.
27:15Jason spent the rest of the four hours during the draft restraining himself from beating up the co-manager that suggested it.
27:22Co-manager bringing things to votes. Also, I can tell you a lot about the week 15 schedule.
27:28I got to prep. I got to win that week.
27:31That is amazing. What about some? So when you look at those guys, those are all, I think, high-end, insurance-backed, standalone value.
27:38Maybe the Giants are in the picture there with Scadaboo, whether it's Najee or Tracy at some point.
27:44Now, what I had a problem with was just deciding on like, let me just give you my scenario.
27:51I have Kenneth Walker, who is not always healthy.
27:54So Emmitt Johnson to me, I think that was one where like, because he's a rookie, because he's young, I wanted to take him.
28:02And you loved his tape. And I loved his tape.
28:05And he's obviously earned that backup role. So to me, it's like that one, I think I wouldn't even feel bad having on my team.
28:13The other one was Devon Achan. And, you know, Ollie Gordon is who I preferred in that situation because, in my opinion, of Achan leaves.
28:21You know how sometimes the depth chart doesn't reflect what happens when a player goes out, a different back ends up taking over.
28:29Like Keaton Mitchell's the two. But Kamani Vidal would have a tremendous amount more value probably if Hampton's down.
28:35And like Denver, Jonah Coleman, if J.K. Dobbins, yes, if, we're going to hold on to if for J.K.
28:42Dobbins, if he misses time, I think Jonah Coleman moves into far more touches than R.J.
28:47Harvey. Right. And so right now, Jalen Wright is the running back two on the depth chart.
28:52Ollie Gordon is the three. But to me, Ollie Gordon's the more talented back.
28:57So I went there, but I know I'm just going to release this dude.
29:02Yeah. I'm just going to release him tomorrow morning.
29:05Because that one, like when you have, you know, like a Tank Bigsby who's looked fantastic for Philadelphia on his touches, a
29:12team as bad as we're projecting Miami to be.
29:15Sure. Yeah. We're leaving the window open. Maybe they surprise us.
29:19They're going, they're not going to be a good team.
29:22And if the super talented running back who's getting all the work misses time, I don't really like I'm.
29:28And Jalen Wright or Ollie Gordon, I don't think either one will be, you know, going out there being a top 10 running back.
29:36Like we talk about, you're like the way on the waiver wire, you know, so and so season ending injury.
29:43You're like, this is a full fab dump for this player.
29:46The Miami situation, if you announced it right now that HN is going to miss the season, I'm going to try and
29:54put one of the Miami guys on my roster.
29:57But I'm not like, I'm not going to dump my full fab to go get them.
30:02So in terms of current roster percentages, some names to pay attention to on the high end insurance backs.
30:08Brian Robinson Jr. in Atlanta, who should get goal line from the jump, but would obviously be higher upside.
30:14Tank Bigsby. Malik Davis seems to be the running back to in Dallas.
30:19Oh, he definitely is. And then Mike Washington, if he's out there, you know, we already have like with Jeremiah 11, Jinty to start the year.
30:27You have ankle injuries that are always like, could they re-injure the ankle?
30:32Yes. And then you'd have extended starting opportunities for Algier and extended starting opportunities for Mike Washington potentially.
30:38Right. Oh, yeah. And then Woody Marks. Woody Marks is at 59 percent.
30:42The team, I know we can believe or not believe, but the team has said it'll be 50-50.
30:48My draft says there'll be 100 Marks, zero Monty.
30:51Woody Marks looked, I mean, it's preseason, but Woody Marks looked better to me this year.
30:56And look, it's crazy. Players get better. They actually can improve going into year two.
31:01I thought he looked solid and we'll get more work from David Montgomery.
31:05I think that it's like I think it's more of a 60-40, maybe 65, but 60-40 where there's certain league formats where Woody Marks can start for you.
31:15Talk to me about wide receiver options that you look at as undrafted gyms right now.
31:20And we can talk about whether they were drafted in our league at all.
31:25Yeah, to me, the rookies we always love taking a shot on.
31:28We know that the data says that they get off to slow starts if they're not a high-end first-round NFL draft pick.
31:36So, you know, if you're taking a shot on Jacoby Lane who's popped in preseason or Malachi Fields who looks like he's the number two.
31:44And now that they released Aria Slayton, that's probably great news for Malachi Fields in New York to get on the field.
31:51You've got Chris Bell for the Miami Dolphins who was a first-round talent, but then he had the injury who's healthy.
31:58But my assumption is that all of these wide receivers will not play enough snaps in week one to be really fire.
32:06Those are all guys I'd want to have in week one to see if something happens, though.
32:11Yeah. Because they have a pathway to huge opportunities.
32:14Yeah, I would throw Caleb Douglas there as well.
32:17Chris Bell slash Caleb Douglas, two rookie wide receivers for the Dolphins.
32:21I think Caleb Douglas has the opportunity to get off to a faster start because I expect him to play 75-plus percent of the snaps from week one.
32:30So Malachi Fields and Caleb Douglas, those would be the two that I think you'll be able to see something week one, whereas the others I'm not confident.
32:40Even I think Chris Bell's more talented. Jacoby Lane has looked awesome.
32:44I'm just not positive they're going to be on the field week one enough to really make a decision as to whether you keep holding them or not.
32:53I agree. Malachi Fields, we were like just a couple picks away, Kyle and I, when the news broke.
32:59So based off of our roster, it was like, okay, we've got to take a chance on Malachi Fields.
33:05I haven't seen any reporting about this. So this is just like trying to think about the situation.
33:11Odell Beckham did make the team. Just like, and the reports of him, they've, he's, of course, he's not young Odell Beckham,
33:19but Malachi Fields is, he was a third round pick.
33:22Am I right, Kyle? That is correct. He was, so.
33:25That's a day two pick, Mike. Remember? Oh, yes.
33:28Round three. Day two. He was a day two pick.
33:31But just saying of, with the release of Slayton, it wouldn't shock me to see OBJ as a full-time starter for the Giants.
33:39Did Mooney make the roster? Yeah, no one cares.
33:42I'm just asking. Veterans with opportunities, Dontavian Wicks, I drafted him yesterday.
33:46Yeah, I did not like that you took him.
33:49I would much rather have Dontavian Wicks than all of those rookies we just mentioned.
33:54Keenan Allen, who did get drafted. I chose Wicks over Allen at that point in the draft.
34:00Yeah, we chose Allen over Wicks. Tight ends that I'm watching in week one.
34:04Terrence Ferguson. Yes. Keep an eye on how they use three tight ends in the L.A.
34:09That's a Thursday game, I believe, so we'll get to watch that in prime time.
34:14Yeah, I think Terrence Ferguson and Greg Dulcich are the perfect stashes because week one, you're going to know what is their involvement in this offense.
34:23And it's either more than likely, it's not involved enough, and you just punt them on an important week one waiver wire.
34:30Or they're like, okay, these guys are running tons of routes and earning targets.
34:35Those are my favorite. Because like, Jawan Johnson. I like Jawan Johnson a lot.
34:40I think if I need to play a player, he shouldn't be on waivers.
34:44He's probably as good as whoever else was picked in the last round.
34:49But if I'm stashing a guy that I'm not playing, it would be the other two higher upside options.
34:55If you want me to tell you a player that nobody has, nobody will roster even if I talk about him, and
35:02could end up with just a wild week one that blows your mind, it is the tight end one for the Chargers.
35:09It is Charlie Kohler. I was just typing. It's only Kohler to Jason.
35:14It's Kohler to the world. Charlie Kohler is the number one tight end for the Chargers.
35:19If you look at the competition, you're like, oh, they got a bunch of tight ends.
35:24Don't think of it that way. Think of it as they decided to add a veteran declining David Njoku, who's not number one on the depth chart.
35:33And then Arande Gadsden has had the worst offseason possible.
35:36They don't like him as much as fancy football nerds.
35:40No, they don't. And so literally, Charlie Kohler, free agent contract, tight end one, offense we like, an offensive coordinator that will utilize him.
35:48Yeah, shout out Jonu Smith. Yeah, I just think.
35:51Out of nowhere. I just think it could be a completely out of nowhere week one for Charlie Kohler.
35:57I agree. Where everybody's like. I agree. The next time we do the waiver show, we're like, guys, Charlie Kohler, what are we thinking?
36:05Yeah, he's a, I mean, he was in that category of a stash where it's just, okay, we'll punt him in week
36:12one, or he will surprise and be there. And you might look at his career, he's going into year five and be
36:19like, he's had 30 catches in five years. He's a blocking, he is a, he is a blocking tight end.
36:26And he is. But he is also very capable.
36:29If you go back and look at his Iowa State college, I mean, he's.
36:34Totally equipped to catch the ball. 700 passing yards, 756 receiving yards.
36:38He passed him? Receiving yards. He's a quarterback? But like three seasons of massive college production as a receiver.
36:44So he's got the chops. And then if you want to like a week one to keep an eye on the number
36:51one quarterback to throw on the bottom of your bench as a QB two to see if you get catch lightning in a bottle is Malik Willis.
37:00Yes. Plays Las Vegas. Totally worth seeing what that offense, what he can do.
37:05I may have placed a financial wager, which I do almost never.
37:09I mean, you guys know this. I'm never, I probably placed two or three bets a year.
37:14On Malik Willis is week one yardage. Well, because it is at one.
37:19I mean, I think in some books it's at 168.
37:22Which would be, I think the second lowest like ever for a starting quarterback in week one.
37:28Well, it's because of that Raiders defense, man. I mean, I find, I find that to be like, I'm just sharing that.
37:35I'm not a, I'm not a bet, bet expert, a betspert, whatever you want to call it.
37:40That is just one to me that I'm like my convictions on Malik Willis, that matchup.
37:46I think he's going to throw the ball a ton.
37:49I don't know. I don't know. I'm for it.
37:52It wasn't, like I didn't just draft Malik Willis at the end and now I'm like, oh, it's going to be great.
37:59Like Kyle can attest. My game plan going into this was I really, really want to draft Malik Willis and.
38:06To see what happens. Yeah. Cause if. Which Kyler fits that as well.
38:10I hate to say it, but like week one, just see what happens with Kyler because.
38:15Yes, he does. Cause maybe something goes right. You could, but Malik, Malik is going to run more than Kyler.
38:22I agree. And he's younger. So it's just, that's why I prefer that side.
38:27The truth is if, if Willis is competent, like if Willis is thrown for 200 yards a game, cause he's going to
38:34be running for like 40 yards, he's going, he's not going to have a choice with when he looks out and his
38:41receiver core is just absolutely seat belted out there.
38:44He's going to run. Yeah. I would also throw Tyler Shuck into that.
38:49Oh yeah. He has gone from the highest upside.
38:52I'm so excited. We need to get him at the end of every draft to, to Jordan Tyson got injured.
38:58And now it's like, well, Shuck can't do it.
39:01Shuck can't be. He still got, he was doing it without Tyson last year.
39:06Exactly. There is a wonderful irony, Mike, of me having, I drafted Shuck with my second to last or last pick and you drafted Malik Willis.
39:14Yeah. It feels, that feels. These are the opposite.
39:17Freaky Friday. It's funny. All right. That was waiver wire presented by T-Mobile.
39:22When you're updating your roster right before kickoff, you've got coverage.
39:25You can count on just another reason that game days are better with T-Mobile.
39:30Check it out at T-Mobile.com slash membership. Wednesday night breakdown.
39:33Wednesday night. Have we had a Wednesday night breakdown graphic before?
39:37No. No, because we've never had this segment. That hits pretty nicely.
39:41I don't even remember doing that jingle. I don't remember anything about anything.
39:45All right. You guys ready for our matchup? Let's do it.
39:49New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
39:52All right. Yeah, we got some new graphics up there.
39:56YouTube.com slash the fantasy footballers. All right. New England goes to Seattle.
40:00Here we go. Super Bowl rematch. The 12 at home.
40:03Over under 44 and a half. Vegas is, they have the line Seattle minus three and a half.
40:09You know, to me, this one, I said this before the show.
40:13I knew we were breaking it down. To me, this one screams like defensive battle because a lot of the times the
40:20defenses are a little bit out ahead of the offenses to start the season.
40:25I mean, I'm willing to be surprised. I think it'd be more fun if I was.
40:30But 44 and a half, not a huge over under New England.
40:34They get to try out some new receiving options for Drake May.
40:38He goes out there 4,400 yards. Amazing season. Now they got to go on the road and play Seattle.
40:44He gets to try the A.J. Brown, Romeo Dobbs situation out.
40:48I think this is fun. I mean, Seattle, obviously, 29-13 in the Super Bowl.
40:53Drake May was under fire. This was not a good game for Drake May.
40:5752% pressure rate in the Super Bowl. And, man, you know.
41:01Like, any team opening the season at home is going to be electric, right?
41:05The crowd's going to be. But now it's Seattle.
41:08There is no louder place. Yeah. So I think the first few possessions are going to be wild.
41:14But here we go. We got Drake May v.
41:17Sam Darnall. We got to see Jadarian Price in prime time to start the season as the primary back.
41:24We get to see the true three-down bell cow best back they got, Ramondre Stevenson.
41:29So where do you want to start when we break this one down?
41:33I think we should start with the fact that, you know, this is a team that scored 13 points against Seattle in the Super Bowl.
41:41They've got changes. They've lost Travion Henderson. You know, they won't have him.
41:45Going into that environment, it's going to be tough sledding, I think, for the Patriots on the road.
41:51I'm excited. I hope that, you know, I hope that the new wide receivers are what makes the difference.
41:58And instead of, you know, only being able to score 13 points against great defense, they're like, hey, we needed an A.J.
42:05Brown that could go up and moss against great cornerbacks the way that he was doing against Rick Wollin and, you know, in inter-team scrimmages this offseason.
42:14And that's the one to keep an eye on for me is just how does A.J.
42:19Brown look week one because this is a very, very tough matchup for him.
42:24Yeah, I agree. I mean, the expectations are – where are you super excited and where are you tempered when it comes to your start-sit decisions here?
42:33Man, I don't know that – I don't know that anyone in this – well, JSN, I mean, he's elite.
42:39But it's like everyone else is – I'm going to start them if I draft them.
42:45Week one breakdowns are pretty tough because, you know, you're – generally speaking, you should be playing the team that you drafted.
42:52We already kind of know who our starters are except for maybe like a double flex.
42:57But these are – this is a scary matchup, especially on the Patriots side too.
43:02It's like – Yeah, I mean, Romeo Dobbs, you're not going to really – you wait and see because you didn't draft him to start.
43:10Yes. Ramondre, I think you start with the understanding it's going to be – Yeah, it's just going to be volume.
43:17Here's something that we have not talked about. You talked about – Jason didn't say Bucky Irving's name too much.
43:24That was kind of a joke. Obviously, we've talked about him.
43:28This player's name has never been uttered. This player received 12 targets in the Super Bowl.
43:33This player, by all indications, is heavily involved in the offense.
43:37But Cooper Cup plays football for the Seattle Seahawks.
43:39Huh? Cooper Cup is a starting wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks.
43:43Yeah. Can I say it again? 12 targets in the Super Bowl.
43:47We'll see. Rashid Shahid has a whole offseason with this team to further establish himself.
43:52That's a difference of – I'm fine, you know, keeping the eye on Cooper Cup of how involved he will be.
43:59I think Shahid will be more schemed up, more targeted at this point of his career.
44:05So, I don't hate to shut up. I would have some captain lineups in.
44:09Like our old school, like, isolated DFS lineups. I'd Cooper Cup some captain lineups and just get surprised with a touchdown or two.
44:17But, yeah, I mean, getting to see the breakdown all the way across the board for Seattle's offense.
44:23Like, we know who JSN is. But how do those other guys get involved?
44:27George Halani. How does Halani and Price, that breakdown happen?
44:31If you're making a decision, you've got a deeper team.
44:34You're having to choose Ramondre or Jadarian Price in week one.
44:38Do you take the rookie at home with more competition, may not have goal in, we don't know, or do you take
44:45the high – you know, Ramondre's going to catch a ton of passes.
44:49Which direction do you go there? I lean the Price side.
44:53I mean, these are two tough teams to run on.
44:56But last year, I mean, the Seahawks, they gave up 14 points per game to the running back position.
45:02They're at home. They're favored. At least you are more confident that Ramondre will get the passing work.
45:08And we don't know yet with Price. I would say it's near a coin flip.
45:13But, you know, if you drafted Price, you're probably – you drafted him ahead of Ramondre.
45:19They're at home and they're favored. So, I would lean that side.
45:23Would you play Price or would you ride the Marshawn Lloyd situation for a few weeks in Green Bay?
45:29Because I could see a lot of teams having both those guys.
45:33Lloyd going later. I'm just curious. I know we're just acclimating.
45:37Yeah. Starts at decisions, but they're hitting hard. I have Price just a couple spots ahead of Lloyd.
45:42The Ramondre play – so, last year, Seattle allowing the highest running back target share.
45:47Like, that's where it is. If you can get four or more receptions from Ramondre, it's going to end up being a decent start.
45:55Just so people know, since the season's starting, all of our week-run rankings are up on the site.
46:01TheFantasyFootballers.com. All of our individuals and then the consensus rankings for week one with player projected points.
46:07Right now, where do we have those guys? Right now, we have Ramondre as a consensus.
46:12We have Ramondre two spots ahead of Jadarian Price.
46:15Just for the context on there for player projections for the week.
46:19Like, Hunter Henry dominates in week one, right? Isn't that what we're supposed to expect?
46:24He often does. Before we're ever going to talk about him.
46:28First couple weeks of the season, and that is, you know, if you look across the board at how the Seahawks play
46:35defense last year, they shut down the running backs, shut down the wide receivers.
46:40They were average against tight ends, so maybe that's a place that they'll have to go with their corners locking down A.J.
46:47Brown and Romeo Dubs. Yeah, there are some of the top tier quarterbacks have, like, pretty tough week one matches.
46:54Josh Allen going on the road against Houston week one.
46:57Drake May going on the road against Seattle in week one.
47:00I would not, again, this is your reminder that we'll repeat and ignore probably.
47:05Don't overreact to week one. It's a long season.
47:08Sometimes you see disasters. It's very possible Drake May and this offense doesn't look what they're going to look like adding these new pass catchers.
47:16So there you go. You guys have any other thoughts on the breakdown?
47:21No, I mean, go George. Go George. So now you're fully rooting for George Helani.
47:26Fantastic. But, Jay, we were like. I know we've been more anti-Price.
47:30Yeah. And so that we need Helani. It makes sense.
47:33It's just funny. Like if you're anti-Price to just say that you love the other guy no matter what?
47:39Yeah. Okay. As somebody that has hated other players, I agree.
47:43That is how it works. You think I like Ramondre for real?
47:47I don't want to like Ramondre. All right. Why don't we do a little mailbag, give the people a little extra today.
47:54And, man, football tomorrow. Mailbag. Presented by Paramount+. Guys.
47:57Yes, sir. Guys. Yes. Do you realize we're in it?
48:00Listen to this. Listen to this question. Oh, no.
48:03It's the most perfect. We're in it. Oh, no.
48:06Chris in Michigan. Chris. Oh, no, Chris. Chris, I'm praying for you.
48:10I believe Malik Willis outscores Josh Allen in week one.
48:14Should I make the switch? No. No. I wouldn't do that.
48:17No. Not Josh Allen. You think Josh Allen can't figure it out?
48:21Well, let me say this. Last year in week 12, we saw Josh Allen on the road in Houston.
48:27He scored eight fantasy points. So, he's going to need to figure it out more than he did last year in this opportunity.
48:35So, you're pro Malik. No. I mean, I would still start Josh Allen.
48:39We've seen him in plenty of tough matchups where he overcomes.
48:43I can't fathom that, you know, he's incapable of outscoring Malik Willis.
48:47I mean, any week players can, you know, Malik Willis could outscore Josh Allen, but probabilities, our rankings, how we would start players.
48:55You put Josh Allen in there. And you want to have a wild week one, go do it.
49:01There are definitely situations where it's like, guys drafted to start, I wouldn't mind playing Malik Willis.
49:06But not Josh Allen, but I'm saying, week one, we have Mahomes versus Bo Nix.
49:11Like, so you got Bo against the Chiefs defense, and Mahomes off of his reconstructed knee against the Denver defense.
49:18Yep. I would, I'd be very open to play Malik Willis.
49:21Over those guys. Yeah. Yeah. There was a clarity question coming in from Instagram.
49:26What is a onesie? I hear you say it all the time.
49:30I don't know what it means. Sure. A onesie is where in a standard fantasy football league, there is just one of those players in your starting lineup.
49:39So as in one quarterback, one tight end. So we'll say stuff like, hey, I'm going to take another running back here versus going to a onesie position.
49:48Because you're only required to play the one, but running backs and wide receivers, you have to play multiples.
49:55There you go. Should, Greg wants to know, California, should trade deals and DMs be talked about in the public chat?
50:02No. What? What do you mean? Should trade deals?
50:05Maybe the inner workings of DMs. Is it faux pas to like talk about those in a public chat?
50:11Is that maybe what the question was asking? Oh, yeah.
50:14Like reveal. Oh, okay. Yeah. This is, if that's what it is.
50:18Like if you're talking, if me and Mike are discussing a trade and then I go air the laundry, right?
50:25Like I go put his comments or something in the main chat to try to leverage.
50:30Like leverage for another offer from somebody or like.
50:33If it's trying to leverage, I feel like that's pretty Bush league.
50:37If it's making fun of someone, I don't know.
50:40That's pretty fun. It might jeopardize your future. It'll jeopardize your future deals.
50:44I was going to say, you'll have leverage once.
50:47Yeah. And then no one's going to do that.
50:50And it will, it won't just be the other person that you exposed to.
50:55You made mad like the rest of the league is going to see that you're out there sharing people's private messages.
51:02I, I, be careful, but sometimes it's funny. Uh, PJ writes in who's your go-to later round IR stash player on draft day.
51:09I was hoping last night it would be Jordan.
51:12Everyone wanted Jordan Tyson. That's the great one. That is the obvious one.
51:17The terrible, disgusting one that I also wanted was Isaiah Pacheco.
51:20Uh, I know I sold you. It's disgusting. It was, I'm talking last round.
51:25Like when you've got no one left and you just, and you just want, uh, you know, to basically get a free player.
51:33Would you, you say you'd rather do that with Pacheco over like Charbonnet?
51:37No, no. I'm, but Charbonnet is not there at your last round.
51:41I'm saying like the very last round, the guy that is always available as opposed to, so for instance, for me, I
51:48drafted Terrence Ferguson with my last pick. Right. My plan was to just draft Isaiah Pacheco with the last pick.
51:55And then this morning, put him on IR and pick up Terrence Ferguson.
51:59Disgusting. Awful. Unnecessary. But it's just a free, it's a free card.
52:03No, I would much rather have Charbonnet. Obviously Jordan Tyson is, is the king.
52:08Yeah. Is the hero that we all want in, you know, for us it was, I think I was hoping to get
52:15him at the 607, which would be like ninth round.
52:18He went a little earlier. So eighth or ninth round.
52:22I was hoping seventh in our league. That was the mailbag presented by Paramount Plus.
52:26Paramount Plus is the streaming home to the NFL and CBS all season long.
52:31See you Sunday. See you Wednesday. See you Thursday.
52:34See you every day. See you tomorrow. Happy days.
52:37We got Super Bowl picks tomorrow on the show.
52:40Ooh. So, um, I just got to figure out whether I should.
52:44I just got to figure out who's going to win.
52:47Reveal my Dolphins pick today or tomorrow. I don't know.
52:51You guys don't like the Dolphins for the Super Bowl?
52:54You're going to get some great odds on that.
52:57I will. Yeah. I'll make a lot of money.
53:00Yeah. You just need to put $1 down. It probably won't be the Dolphins.
53:05You'll be a millionaire. We'll have to preview the Thursday night game tomorrow.
53:09You know what I mean? And then that'll be fun too because football is here.
53:14It's football time. All right. We'll catch you tomorrow.
