Baker Mayfield

PositiveValue34:16

The source views Baker Mayfield as an undervalued asset who could replicate a breakout season. Mayfield finished as the QB3 in 2024 and demonstrated rushing ability with 382 yards. Despite a late-season collapse due to injuries across the team, the source argues Mayfield is currently disrespected by the market and remains a high-upside play, particularly given his Week 1 matchup against Cincinnati.

Insight page

Ben Sinnott

NegativeProjection45:14

The source notes that Ben Sinnott currently has 16 career receptions and is projected to finish his career with fewer total receptions than Jack Besh.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveBreakout28:28

David Montgomery is projected as a potential RB1 breakout candidate similar to Javante Williams last year. He is the clear goal-line back for a high-powered Houston offense that struggled with goal-line conversion efficiency last season.

Insight page

Isiah Pacheco

NegativeInjury23:26

Isaiah Pacheco's knee injury is not considered a concern by Dan Campbell, though he is currently dealing with a separate back injury.

Insight page

Jack Bech

PositiveSleeper43:13

The source identifies Jack Besh as a deep sleeper who could emerge in the Raiders' offense. Despite being an unconventional pick, the source notes that beat reporters have indicated Besh has won the starting slot role and is a strong fit for the team's offensive system. The source maintains high conviction in his talent as a collegiate player and believes he could surprise if given consistent playing time.

Insight page
PositiveProjection45:17

The source predicts that Jack Besh will finish his career with more total receptions than Ben Sinnott, noting that Besh currently holds 20 career receptions compared to Sinnott's 16.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveBreakout32:14

Jadarian Price is identified as a breakout candidate for the Seattle Seahawks. Despite a lack of college passing-game usage, early camp reports suggest he will be involved in the passing attack and is positioned to receive significant volume.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveBreakout36:03

Jalen Coker is highlighted as a deep-league sleeper who could emerge as an every-down player for the Panthers. He recorded four top-24 finishes in his final seven games last year and was rewarded with a three-year contract extension. The source praises his competitiveness at the catch point and notes that if Bryce Young continues to progress, Coker has the talent to be a significant fantasy contributor.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeUsage13:47

Josh Jacobs is an extremely risky pick due to ongoing legal issues involving misdemeanor battery and property damage charges. While he may avoid suspension this season if the legal process is delayed, the potential for a video to surface or league action makes him a volatile asset. The source notes he is off their board, though he could be a value if he drops significantly in drafts.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveValue26:28

The source highlights Kyler Murray as a strong fantasy value currently being drafted as the QB17. He is a year removed from his ACL injury, possesses rushing upside, and is now in an upgraded offensive scheme under Kevin O'Connell with a top-tier receiving core led by Justin Jefferson. The source notes that 55% of his 82 career starts have been top-12 fantasy performances, making him a prime candidate to return to elite status.

Insight page

Tank Bigsby

PositiveSleeper22:16

The source identifies Tank Bigsby as a high-upside target, noting that while he is not being drafted as a top-24 back, he possesses top-12 ceiling potential. He was fifth among 55 qualifying running backs in rush success rate last year and tied for 11th in forced missed tackle rate, demonstrating explosive athleticism. Despite competition from Chris Rodriguez and LeQuint Allen, the source believes Bigsby could emerge as the primary back in the Jaguars' high-powered offense.

2:29There are a ton of opportunities to jump into a league and be part of the biggest fantasy football league out there.
2:37And have a chance to be in the Listener League next year.
2:41Get an ultimate for life. I'm going to bring something else next week that I want to give away from my personal sports card collection.
2:49That I'm going to give to the winner of the Megala Bowl this year.
2:54And a lot of that, I mean, it's just going to be so fun.
2:59Megala Bowl.com. I'm bringing dirty socks. Are you contributing autographed or not?
3:03Well, with my scent. Oh, autographed with your scent.
3:06All right. Quick question of the day. What part of fantasy football strategy?
3:10I mean, today is a fantasy time machine show.
3:13So there's a theme here. What part of fantasy strategy has changed the most since the day the podcast started?
3:20Which somebody out there had looked up. They found an old episode.
3:24Oh, don't do that. We had a... Well, don't...
3:27Yeah, definitely don't do that. Back in the bedroom.
3:30And we were like... It was like, if you could take anybody today for the next...
3:35Oh, for the 10 years? For the next 10...
3:38This was a show after the show. 10 years in fantasy.
3:42And it's been 10 years since that show. Wow.
3:45I got a spoiler. We didn't get the answers.
3:48Well, I... You and I were pretty much agreed that it should be Russell Wilson at the time.
3:54Wow. Remember when he was great? I believe Jason was...
3:58I want to say I was OBJ. You were Odell Beckham Jr.
4:02Young. It would be like right now being like, I want to, you know, JSN.
4:07Right. I mean, 10 years is a long time.
4:10What would the right answer have been at the time?
4:13Derek Henry. Derek Henry. I don't know if Henry was in the league at that time.
4:19Devontae Adams. He was... Yeah? Yeah. Yeah, that would have been...
4:22I mean, Matthew Stafford. I mean, there's a... I don't know.
4:26I mean, the truth is there is no... There's not really a good answer to have for 10 years.
4:32Remember how Adams stunk back then? Oh, yeah. You can't play a 10-year game.
4:37I mean, you've got to play a three-year game in dynasty terms.
4:41Yeah. Stupid question. I reject the question on principle.
4:44Fantasy strategy, though, that has changed the most, in your opinion, since fantasy started?
4:49The... Getting later players, as in like, you know, sleepers.
4:52I guess you could... It's more of like a...
4:55What has changed is the level of informed fantasy football players.
4:59You know, there's still definitely the haves and the have-nots.
5:03There's the real casuals who I'll have conversations with, and you know pretty quick.
5:07You're like, oh, we're not going deep on this conversation.
5:11We're going to keep it pretty shallow. And because they're like, who's a sleeper?
5:15You're like, how do you feel about that, like, tooting?
5:19You're like, that's not a sleeper. But so I think that's really where it gets hard is finding the edge in those players that can break out.
5:28Because you have... You know, we did it on our sleeper show.
5:32I brought up Pat Bryant, which is... Like, that's really long odds.
5:36But to truly find a sleeper in today's fantasy football with the informed crew, you got to go to a player where you're like, this is...
5:45Right now it seems impossible. Yeah. You know, one of the biggest things that has changed over the last decade is...
5:52Grammar. Grammar never has been the same. People have just gotten so much smarter and ADP over time is just so much
5:59more accurate year after year after year. We have learned from our mistakes.
6:04We see how, you know, we're paying more attention to team makeup, to offensive line, to quarterbacks, to wide receivers.
6:10All the nerd stuff where ADP gets more and more accurate where then the strategy is like, okay, if ADP is pretty
6:18darn good from front to back, you've got to find the edges.
6:22You've got to find the strategy where it's like...
6:25And it changes year to year. So, for instance, this year.
6:29That middle round running back, the middle round tight end, I feel like your opportunity cost is probably too great in that.
6:36For me, I think that's just... You've got to...
6:39The strategy changes every couple years. It's not like one thing.
6:43It used to be this way and now it's a totally different way.
6:47Late quarterback can be something where, a long time ago, that was the only way to play.
6:53Then it became so in fuego. You know, that was the only way to play where it's like, actually, now that they're
7:00going so late, like, grab the best guy in the middle rounds.
7:04So, you just have to be basically paying attention to what the current trends are.
7:09The speed at which information is disseminated, news, injuries, is so fast.
7:14We've accommodated... Like, most leagues, I would say nearly 100% of leagues back then were not fab.
7:19These were like waiver priority and it was open waivers and it was open free agency.
7:25And if news broke, you could be the first one to get there.
7:29Yeah, if you had a job on a computer, you had a massive advantage.
7:34Now you need to accommodate the Twittersphere. You need to accommodate, like, the fact that news gets out there so instantaneously that,
7:41you know, having daily waivers run, things that equalize a little bit.
7:45Oh, man. I remember... Look, statute of limitations. I remember, like, driving on the freeway and you'd be like...
7:52You'd get your, like, sleeper alert. It was like, so-and-so is out for the year and you're like, going 75.
7:5875, you're like, well... I got a job to do.
8:02I got to put my life on the line because I got to go pick up this backup running back.
8:09That's funny. All right, let's talk news. News and notes from around the league.
8:13For 1,960 shows so far, I think the people out there know one thing about us and it is that we are...
8:21We just love talking legal implications of player decisions.
8:24It's what I studied to be. Yeah, a fantasy legal expert.
8:27Josh Jacobs was formally charged with two misdemeanors related to the May arrest.
8:32Tom Pellicero reporting. The charges are formally misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property.
8:37He is scheduled for a court appearance on November 17th.
8:40Why is that important? Because the league oftentimes allows the legal process to take place before suspensions take place.
8:46Under the NFL CBA, the minimum suspension for domestic abuse is six games.
8:51That is the minimum. If you listen... By the way, shout out to Drew Davenport.
8:56The absolute authority on giving well-rounded, rational, actual legal advice.
8:59But I will say this. The minimum suspension for domestic abuse is six games in a felony circumstance.
9:05It doesn't mean the league can't do that. But he is not being charged with felonies.
9:11The suspension is going to be subject to when the legal process happens, when the NFL's review happens, and whether or not...
9:18I mean, ultimately, this happens in the public eye.
9:21Yep. If a video, which the reason he was charged is a video was a component of the charges.
9:28It was a surveillance video of the garage. If that video, TMZ's its way to the internet, the NFL could be in
9:35a position where the commissioner's list becomes immediately relevant.
9:38The exempt list, yes. But Jason, I know you also read through the entirety of what Davenport and the charges, the paperwork there.
9:46So in your estimation, where are you with this situation?
9:49Because drafts this weekend, drafts next weekend. And really, my eyes have rolled all the way into the back of my head.
9:57For sure. It is an extremely risky pick. You know that what could happen at any time for Josh Jacobs is a
10:04video is leaked, his hand is pushed, the suspension is immediate, it could be in the middle of the season.
10:11That reality exists. Drew Davenport, you've got to follow him on X, unfortunately.
10:15I mean, I wish we didn't have to follow the legal expert, but you just have to.
10:21And he really is good. You know, the November date, he was bringing up the fact that that does not mean that
10:28that's when the NFL will do its thing. The November date is, you know, he'll enter a not guilty plea, wave a
10:36speedy trial, ask for, you know, something in January or February.
10:39So if the video doesn't come out, more likely, and what the NFL has always done, he won't be suspended for anything this year.
10:48So it's really, it's a risky pick. It's one of those things where you could end up getting an insane value on
10:55Jacobs because he's going to drop in the draft a couple of rounds.
10:59And you could get him for 17 games and he doesn't miss anything at all.
11:04But at any point in time, you could have him and he gets you to the fantasy playoffs and boom, he's gone.
11:12One of the comments I thought was very insightful from Drew Davenport was the fact that in most respects, this was a
11:19good, this is sort of a good thing for Jacobs.
11:23Which you would think, no, it's not. But because the felony thing is not hanging over the circumstance, because if they had
11:30enough evidence to prove that they would have charged him with it.
11:34Like there are some answered questions here for Jacobs in his future in the NFL because of the nature of the charges.
11:42Not that it is a good thing that what transpired, obviously.
11:45It's just clarity goes a long way in terms of like if I had to bet right now, honestly, my bet would
11:53be that Jacobs plays, I think, the full season.
11:56I think so, too. I think he probably misses four games next year.
12:00The charges were moved from felonies to misdemeanors. They were also not classified as domestic violence, you know, as property damage.
12:07And obviously, I don't know what happened. I mean, that's another decision fantasy managers can always make, which is, hey, who do you want on your team?
12:16Like Jacobs, he's off my board. I was already fading.
12:20But it was like, I see a point where if everybody in the league is fading, like there's Josh Jacobs can end
12:27up with 10 plus rushing touchdowns again. But at this point, I'm just like, I'm not dealing with it.
12:34I was already kind of nervous about his efficiency.
12:37And so it's just like someone now the insurance.
12:40Someone else can in Green Bay. The insurance back is our Sean.
12:44Oh, my. Marshawn Lloyd. And then in Dynasty Leagues, please make sure Chris Brooks is on a roster.
12:50He's the real insurance back. He's the insurance back for Marshawn Lloyd.
12:54Right. And that is, in fact, the starter. Yes.
12:57I mean, Marshawn Lloyd is. If we think Marshawn Lloyd is going to be able to play a game and exit healthy, I mean, probably wrong.
13:06I would say pretty much everybody around Jacobs and ADP, I would take over him.
13:11H.N. Jr., Scat, Javante, Breeze Hall. No, but I mean, let's move it down the list a little bit.
13:17Even if you go further down, I mean, like, Jadarian Price or Josh Jacobs?
13:22What are you doing on draft day there? Oh, that's a great one.
13:26I would, oh, man. Or Tootin. Or Bucky Irving.
13:29That's the area where I could see anyone take.
13:32I think, you know, decisions in, you know, the moral side, the ethics side, notwithstanding, that's about where I would probably take Jacobs over those guys.
13:41Yeah. When I looked at my rankings, it was basically the split between, I believe I put him behind Price and ahead of, like, Jalen Warren.
13:50So it was like the tear break where he's at the end of the goods.
13:55Okay. Oh. Let's move on. Boston Globe, Travion Henderson should be good to go for week one.
14:01I thought we reported on that yesterday, actually. But if we didn't, then there you go.
14:06Bears repeating. Isaiah Pacheco's knee injury not a concern according to Dan Campbell.
14:11That's awesome. I think we reported on that yesterday, too.
14:14But now he's dealing with a back injury. I think all of this news we reported on yesterday.
14:20That one, like, popped in. We talked about Tutu Atwell and Jarquez Hunter as well.
14:25Did we? We did. Wow. Because I had mentioned the fact that the day before, I had made the joke that at
14:32least Tutu Atwell's not there, and then they traded for him.
14:36Yeah. I will say that there were rumors of, oh, the Puka issue and whether this was imminent of some suspension coming in.
14:44McVeigh specifically said this was not anything related to that.
14:47But we can also lie. Yes, they can. We have a fantasy time machine to get to.
14:53Let's take a break and jump in. You've got to come back with me.
14:58Where? Back to the future. Well, that's a drop I'd like to be three minutes long.
15:03That's my favorite one. Yeah. Was that a new graphic for this year?
15:08Or had that been... No, it was last year.
15:11Okay. All right, Papa Josh. Papa Josh in the producer seat this morning.
15:15Like the lead dog. Oh. Which is why this little stream deck over here on the right is not working.
15:22I was just trying to protect Kyle and Betts.
15:25From the... Were you actually? From the camera. Were you actually trying to take away my ability to go to the Deucer Cam?
15:33No. Go to the Deucer Cam! Hey! Hey, hey, hey, hey.
15:36Look at those guys. As a... Just a person who cares about production, I don't like the proportions.
15:42Yeah, why is there such a gap between... It feels like four people, it should be equal.
15:48And they're just like... Is Josh gassy this morning?
15:51I was going to say one of us is gassy.
15:54Okay. We're all trying to find the guy. There it is.
15:58Good old casket face. All right, back on the main camera.
16:02All right, the premise of this segment, it's a fun one every year.
16:06We are attempting to travel forward in time. Figure out who this year's version is of certain players that broke out last year and did special things.
16:15So we want to look at the factors that made them valuable and, you know, these players valuable last year.
16:22Apply those same filters to this year and try to predict who might be this year's, you know, for example, JSN and things like that.
16:31So we'll start with finding the 2026 version of Javante Williams.
16:34Okay. This was a player, let me just remind you, he was drafted as the RB39 last year, finished as the RB11.
16:42So we're looking for a running back drafted outside the top 24 that is attached to a good offense.
16:48That could end up as an RB1. Not the RB1, but A, you know, someone in that top 12.
16:55Yeah, I think, Andy, you should probably go first.
16:58In my opinion, it's... You followed more rules. It's exactly right.
17:01Well, there was one guy that jumped out as doing...
17:05It's who I wanted and you already had him.
17:08Okay. He does all the things that Javante represented last year, which is David Montgomery of the Houston Texans.
17:14Which is like, he's kind of been in the league for a while.
17:19Yeah. And he's kind of maybe viewed as a little bit boring.
17:23And the offense is kind of viewed that way.
17:26But here you are on a team that should really be a threat to make a deep run in the playoffs.
17:33So they're a good team. They're going to win a lot of games.
17:37We want that in fantasy for running backs. Houston themselves sought out a goal line back, committed to David Montgomery.
17:44He is drafted outside that top range. I mean, last year, the Texans converted a league-worst 17% of their attempts inside the five-yard line.
17:52Say what you want about the amount of utility that Woody Marks may have between the 20s.
17:58Is anybody doubting who's in the game when they're around the goal line?
18:02No. I mean, David Montgomery is that dude. They're favored in six of their first seven games.
18:08Yeah, six of their first seven games before the bye.
18:11To me, Montgomery is this year's Javante Williams. Yeah.
18:14No, I agree. He fits the bill entirely. My guy doesn't necessarily look real fast.
18:19Exactly. It's kind of a little clunky. That needs to earn the respect over a bunch of weeks.
18:25You might not believe one week. Yeah, it'll be week 12.
18:29You're like, that is true. Yeah, Javante at the beginning of last year is like, oh, that's good.
18:35He got all the work. No, he's taking more time to get respect than Javante last year.
18:41I feel like we got to the every year, you know, at some point we do kind of a, like a, let's redo the first two rounds.
18:50And it was like, should we? I don't remember if Javante went those first two rounds.
18:55I mean, do you even feel that about him now?
18:59Javante? Do you feel like he has the respect now that he deserves?
19:03No, he does not. No, probably not. Whenever I look at his ADP, I still don't want to draft him.
19:10And yet I go, he should be higher. And we love that.
19:14He's a bell cow back for the Cowboys offense.
19:17Everything that made him an RB1 last year. So my guy, he is not old busted.
19:22He's not a veteran that, you know, has traveled around.
19:26But he fits everything else in the sense that he's on a good offense.
19:31It looks like he's going to get all the work.
19:34And he's drafted outside the top 24 backs. And that's Jardians, Jadarian Price, rookie running back for the Seattle Seahawks.
19:41I mean, he's a later round drafted guy who seems like he's going to get everything.
19:46We worried about the passing volume because he had no passing work in his college career.
19:52Early camp reports and videos and comments from coaches are that he is involved in that.
19:57And, you know, I know you've got the Helani bros out there that George Helani is going to be involved.
20:04All three of them. But that's, I mean, there were.
20:07Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? No, but last year.
20:11Are you freaking kidding me? Think about the Cowboys last year.
20:15No, no, no. There are Helani bros. There really are.
20:18I know. But my response to them is, are you kidding me?
20:22The only appropriate response. Last year there were. Come on, man.
20:26You know, the Mafia bros, Bill Moffa and Phil Moffa.
20:29And Jaden Blue. And Jaden Blue is like, oh, he's the explosive one.
20:34The Blue bros. There's just bros everywhere. You know, I don't, I think it's like 25 touches in Helani's career.
20:40This is not a guy who's going to push their first round pick off the field.
20:46So, good offense. Drafted late. They could absolutely finish as an RB1.
20:50And he is one of the players that I feel like next year you could look back and go like, well, like, duh.
20:58Like. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Of course. Why in the world was he not automatically.
21:02Well, and not even. I mean, you talk about it every year.
21:06Like, rookie running backs. They are relevant. They are traditionally like multiples in the top 24.
21:12Like, it is something that happens. And then you're like, oh, wait, it's the Super Bowl champs.
21:18If you go watch Hard Knocks on the first episode.
21:21Like, they have some clips from their general manager, John Schneider, talking with somebody in the draft, you know, with their draft
21:28board up and the draft board is blurred. I mean, their first conversation is like, this is our biggest need.
21:35So, like, for the Helani bros out there. Like, this is our biggest need.
21:40Ken Walker's gone. This is our biggest need. Like, they didn't want him to leave.
21:45They just are moving on. Mike. You've never said anything about this guy.
21:49No, I've never said anything other than just drafting him yesterday.
21:53These are all in the very similar range, by the way, in drafts.
21:57Yeah. Which is crazy. What's crazy is Monty is the lowest of these three right now.
22:03ADP for Price is 511. Your guy is 601 and mine is 611.
22:07Per the rules, we were looking for a running back drafted outside the top 24, which Jason and I did.
22:14We kept to the rules. We did. 25 and 26.
22:17We just might have a toenail hanging over where the line is.
22:21With Jason's running back 25 and my running back 26.
22:25Bashal Tootin of the Jacksonville Jaguars. I, you know, it's not a sure thing that he's going to be the guy, but
22:32this is a situation that I 100% want to take a chance on.
22:37The Jaguars last year, at least, were a very high-powered offense.
22:40Liam Cohen, you know, returning and, you know, the new opportunity now with Travis HN Jr.
22:46out of the way for a player last year who converted five of his seven carries inside the five for a touchdown among, oh, baby.
22:5455! Thank you, Kyle. Among 55 qualifying running backs, fifth in rush success rate, which, reminder again, rush success rate is, are
23:02you getting what you need yardage-wise on that down?
23:05So it's not, it's a better way of looking at yards per carry.
23:09Are you getting what you need? And he was fifth.
23:12Fifth in percent of yards after contact because he is a truly explosive athlete.
23:17And he was tied with Brees Hall for 11th in forced missed tackle rate.
23:22This is a team that I want to, I want to bet on who will the, the guy be.
23:28Krod is there, Chris Rodriguez, and LeQuint. That's the goal line variable.
23:32Yes, and LeQuint Allen is the, the receiving back variable.
23:36I think when it comes to it, that it will end up being Bashal Tootin being like the, the guy there where last year it was.
23:44The, the start, the, the, the, the initial depth chart was listed.
23:49HN Jr. Or Tank Bigsby is the starter. And they were so locked into that, that they said, we're, we don't need you anymore, Tank.
23:57We're just going to have, have be HN Jr.
24:00Be our full-time guy. I think that isn't in the range of outcomes for Tootin, who's not being drafted as a top
24:0724 guy where a top 12 player is in his ceiling.
24:11But ironically, though, last year, I think you were more on the Tank side.
24:16I was. You know, that he was better than ETN.
24:19So maybe they'll be like, see you later Tootin.
24:22Hey, things could happen. Yeah. No, right. Yeah. Well.
24:25I still think Tank's better. All right. So we found some candidates.
24:29I do too. For the. Oh, wow. Yes, Jason.
24:32I want Tank to. Good. It's just such a shame.
24:36I feel like. You're talking about my guy last year?
24:39Yes. That's who we're talking. Just one year early.
24:42This whole gag you're doing. You know what really sucks about it?
24:46It's not. On the show, it's funny. Yeah. The problem is, is now the comments.
24:51It's like, he's. Trayvill's now my guy. Even better.
24:54In a bunch of. Even better. And I think some people are not sure if it's a truth or a lie.
25:01It's true. Okay. The thing. But here's the thing for your perspective, Andy, is you have four shots at my guys.
25:09Yeah. Yeah. It really works for you. If Henderson.
25:12If Tank Bigsby does something great this year or Henderson does something great.
25:16You're not going to claim that? I would. Gosh.
25:19I guess that's better than giving Jason credit. Yeah.
25:22All right. Finding the 2026 Trevor Lawrence. So what made him great last year?
25:27Looking at Horse Boy. Insane second half run made him an every week start.
25:32His ADP last year was QB 21. Ended up as the quarterback four.
25:36We're looking for a quarterback drafted outside the top 12.
25:39So that's prerequisite number one. Either upgraded options in terms of weapons or a change at offensive coordinator.
25:45Liam Cohen making the big impact there. And maybe runs enough to be a fantasy difference maker.
25:51At least fill in some of the gap. Right.
25:54You want somebody that can. That doesn't have to Peyton Manning.
25:58Right. You can. Right. You can fill in some of the gap with the legs.
26:03Am I going first again? No. I'll hop in.
26:06Okay. Because I didn't like mine filling in last time.
26:09Get it out of the way. But I like mine.
26:13This one. Oh, you do? Yeah. I do. Because of the tumult of the offseason.
26:18Can I step out for this one? Do I have to be a part of it?
26:23You can at least take your ears out so you don't have to hear it.
26:28But Kyler Murray, the new quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, is I think a much better fantasy pick.
26:34He's currently being drafted as the quarterback 17. He is mobile.
26:38He rushes well. 55. 55. Percent of all of his 82 career starts have been top 12 quarterback performances.
26:44Now you've got a change of scenery. Now you've got an upgraded offensive mind.
26:49I mean, when he had Cliff Kingsbury, he was really, really good for fantasy.
26:54Things got worse and worse as his career went on, as he got injured.
26:59He is now a year removed from the ACL injury.
27:02He has Justin Jefferson in a great receiving core.
27:05He has a really good offensive mind. And I don't think he's done.
27:09He's certainly not like an age where you're like, well, he can't play anymore.
27:14So I think he's dumb. Nice. Nice. I said D-U-N, Andy.
27:18Oh, yes. Done. Done. So where he's being drafted right now in the 13th round is the quarterback 17.
27:24It feels he can easily. When I look at the late round quarterbacks who could pop into the, you know, be a top six option.
27:33He is one of a few that just easily stand out to me as I can totally see how that happens.
27:40Yeah. I, I, I totally agree. It's difficult though of, of it's been, I don't want to agree.
27:46Been a long time since Kyler Murray has done that.
27:49He might be right, but I don't want to.
27:52And yes, he has, you know, I, I, you can say, okay, the, the skill position players at Minnesota are better than,
28:00than what he had in Arizona because Jefferson is that great.
28:03He, he, he, I mean, he had Trey McBride and he had Jerry Rice on the team.
28:09He just didn't throw him the ball. And, and last year, you know, in his five healthy games, he was averaging 35
28:17rushing yards a game and yet never finished as a top 15 quarterback.
28:21Like he was giving you, he gave you a baseline of rushing and the other stuff was just so not there statistically
28:28that he wasn't anything more than a QB two.
28:31I mean, he fits all the, he fits all the like characteristics of somebody who, if he just plays competently, he's pretty good for fantasy.
28:40But when you said that like 55% of his games, he was above this mark.
28:45I was like, and what were 92% of those his first half of his career?
28:50It's just, what is the true Kyler Murray now?
28:53Obviously they made the decision early. Like this is going to be the dude.
28:58Yeah. And I think Jefferson said, this is going to be the dude.
29:02I remember us watching film. It's, it's so hard to remember like going week by week last, last year, when Kyler was
29:10playing a couple of weeks into the season, a month, five weeks into the season, we kept watching this Arizona Cardinals scheme
29:17and seeing them basically try to get the ball to Marvin Harrison, except they just ran him down the field so long where he didn't turn around.
29:26You remember watching this Andy? And it was like, what are we doing?
29:31Like you're not scheming anyone open. You're, you're, you're more of someone to pass to.
29:36You're more of a, uh, like a pet sing blaming of Kyler Murray.
29:40You think that the Kevin O'Connell fixes it? I do.
29:43I do. I really do. I honestly, I think we have so much history of Arizona Cardinals players who are good, who
29:51flame out here, go to someone else that, you know, to another team and they're like, Oh wow.
29:57They're, they're really, really good. Um, the Cardinals organization is not a serious organization.
30:02Which agreed. I thought you thought it was, uh, I have never thought that.
30:06How dare you? We think they're unserious. All right.
30:09I'm jumping in. Unfortunately, a Jordan Tyson injury has made me have to at least pull back a bit of my love for, for Tyler Shuck.
30:18But I think that he's the answer to this question.
30:22If you, you know, especially if you're like, Hey, second half, if Jordan Tyson is back by the second half, then, Oh
30:29my gosh, I'm going to be very interested in Tyler Shuck, who is being drafted as the quarterback 22.
30:35Despite last year, weeks 14 through 18. And like, and remember Tyler Shuck didn't start playing until, you know, like halfway through the year weeks 14 through 18.
30:45So we're talking a five game span to end the season completing 70% of his passes, giving you 27 rushing yards per game.
30:53That's not an elite level, but that's, that's perfectly fine.
30:56Give you a nice little boost to the floor.
30:59And he was averaging 20 fantasy points per game, which all that stuff I talked about Kyler Murray, he never hit 20
31:06in, in that time period of last year for the Arizona Cardinals among 28 rookie quarterbacks over the past five years who qualify.
31:14So they have had a hundred or more pass attempts, second in completion rate, fourth in passing yards per game, sixth in yards per attempt.
31:23And he's got Kellen Moore who kicks the pace up.
31:26We get extra plays. He did all of this stuff without Jordan Tyson.
31:30He still has a Lave. He still has Juwanson at the beginning of the season to be, uh, what I would assume is the number two weapon.
31:40And then if Jordan Tyson can get back, I think that Tyler Shuck becomes that a waiver, a quarterback waiver wire pickup
31:47that someone picks up week six or so for a streaming option.
31:51And you're like, Oh, that was pretty good. Oh, that was pretty good.
31:55And then we just ride it till the end of the season.
31:59I believe so much in, in the prospect of Tyler Shuck becoming a, a true franchise quarterback.
32:05Well, it would be fun. I mean, we need some new icons at the quarterback position for the next 10 years.
32:12And I'd love to see that team and Kellen Moore and those receivers have that talent.
32:18Uh, you know, the, the schedule looks all right.
32:21And I, I'm, I'll be curious. They are such a fun offense.
32:25I really hope it works out because just like you're saying, Andy, it's like be so good for the NFL to look
32:32at the saints as like, Oh, I want a piece of that.
32:36I am going with Baker Mayfield as my pick here for the, uh, 2026 version of Trevor Lawrence, who in my opinion,
32:44Trevor Lawrence might have been, he was reverse Trevor.
32:47He might've, I was gonna say, Trevor Lawrence might've been the 2025 version of Baker Mayfield.
32:52That's what's funny about it. Like Baker was the quarterback three in 2024.
32:57He also ran for 378 yards and we were, he also had Liam Cohen.
33:01Remember all lost last off season. You're like, he's not running for that amount of yards again.
33:07Yeah. Yeah, he did. I mean, did he ran for more, he ran for 382 yards.
33:12I think you can look at Baker and understand that this guy is going to take off.
33:18He is shiftier than he looks and finds his way down the field.
33:23I mean, he literally ran for more yards per attempt.
33:26Cause he kind of looks like a potato. I know.
33:29A slippery potato though. Yeah. I mean, it's been a slippery potato Baker Mayfield.
33:34Um, but look, he, he, he has that capability.
33:37Baker was the quarterback for last year. Through the first six weeks.
33:41Oh, so he was right back on. He was the MVP candidate.
33:45Then you get Evans injury, a book injury, Baker injury, line injuries, and it fell apart.
33:51And you know, you've got Baker playing. I mean, who wears their emotions and their grudges on their shoulder more than Baker Mayfield?
33:58Yeah. Well, he's great. He's presently disrespected and undervalued and not under contract for next season.
34:04And week one matchup at Cincinnati, 51 and a half over under.
34:08I think these guys are going to, I mean, maybe he just takes it back.
34:13You know, if he was, if Lawrence was the 2024 Baker, then Baker might be the 2026 Lawrence.
34:19That is my pick for the fantasy time machine.
34:22So I like it. Um, we will take one more break here and then, uh, we're going to try to find the 2026 version of Jerry Rice.
34:31All right. We're back. And, uh, the 2026 Jerry Rice was, uh, Devante Adams, according to, to me, to your post.
34:38I might, after acquiring Devante Adams, one of our leagues pointed out the statistical numbers for a 33 year old Jerry Rice.
34:46Yeah. You still feeling, uh, good about that? I am feeling good about Adams, not those numbers, but I'm feeling good about
34:53Adams because I just, if he's healthy, I don't know how he doesn't score a bunch.
34:58That's the, whether he's great elsewhere, but, uh, no, the 2026 Jerry Rice, Mike, I don't know if you remember.
35:05It's this guy named Michael Wilson. I do remember.
35:08Of the Arizona Cardinals. So, you know, you're looking at a non rookie wide receiver that was buried on a depth chart for years.
35:16Could break out in 2026. You can't know. You can't do this to my heart.
35:21I don't even know who Jason picked. I'll get mine out of the way.
35:26Okay. Don't, don't. Because I feel like mine fits the mold for, for yours is the best.
35:32I would not put in your name. I'm not going to scroll down because I don't want to know who Jason's is.
35:39Yeah. This is non rookie wide receiver buried in the depth chart.
35:43Could break out if given opportunity, but has never really done it.
35:47Last year, Michael Wilson was undrafted finishes the wide receiver.
35:5111. The name I'm going to bring up. You like mine, Jason?
35:55I do. I literally went in the doc to put in this name.
35:59So Monty, Monty and Jalen. Yeah, that's good. It's Jalen Coker.
36:03Yeah. Wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers. Basically undrafted.
36:06If not, if he's drafted, it's 13th, 14th round.
36:09Did you know that he had four top 24 finishes in his final seven games?
36:14Jalen Coker. He's a very, very good player and he's back and he's healthy and he was rewarded with a three-year contract extension.
36:22A lot of you are like, who is that?
36:25Because our producer may have said his name wrong at one point in time.
36:30Oh, yeah. But Jalen Coker, he's just one of those guys you watch play and you like- Change the vowel sound.
36:37Yeah, vowels. I've learned vowels are very- Yeah, they're pretty important.
36:40Vows are effective when it comes to what impact they have on speech.
36:45I think that Jalen Coker is going to be an every down player all year long.
36:50He's always shown the talent. He's dealt with injuries.
36:53He's completely undrafted. And if the- I know Bryce Young is there, but look, nobody expected.
36:59You expected what happened last year with Michael Wilson.
37:02That's the point, right? You don't expect the math to math.
37:05But I think Jalen Coker has a chance to be that super- This is what you're talking about at the top about
37:13what kind of sleepers you have to find now.
37:16Yes. You need to find a guy who, you know, almost 100% probability is that he fails.
37:22Right. But I think Coker is a really talented player and I think the team bought in and they realize what he
37:29represents to the depth chart and we'll see what happens with McMillan moving around in the slot.
37:35But like, Coker is competitive. Like, at the point of attack, at the catch, like, he's a big dude.
37:41I love him. Yeah. If- By the way, 12 targets, 9 for 1, 34 and 1 in the playoff game they almost won against the- The Rams.
37:50The Rams. If Bryce were to step up and continue progressing through his young career, I believe Coker would be very good.
37:58Yeah. When you're looking at late round shots, like, it helps when you feel like the player's good.
38:04Yes. I think that's the most important part. Because there's late round guys who are like, that guy stinks.
38:10That's a huge part of my argument. So you're up, Mike.
38:14I don't know if you think your guy is good or stinks, but I'm going to go with, hey, look, another guy
38:21I drafted at the end, the very, very end of yesterday's mock draft, Dontavian Wicks, who is going even later than Jalen Coker in drafts.
38:30I see an ADP of a wide receiver, 73.
38:33Wicks has had some issues, you know, catching the ball.
38:36When he was over there on the Green Bay Packers, he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, where it looks like he is locked in as a starter.
38:46The beat reporters. He has locked down the number two spot opposite Devontae Smith, Saquon Barkley.
38:51Wicks is a steal. I don't know how we got him.
38:55And then Nick Sirianni, the way they are off the line of scrimmage, the way they are at the top of the
39:02route, the way they are with the ball with the hands.
39:06It reminds me of, oh, Keenan Allen. This is, and they're all talking about Dontavian Wicks, who, when he's been on the
39:13field, yes, the catching has been a little bit of a bugaboo, which is not great for a wide receiver.
39:20But the targets have been there because the guy just gets open.
39:24Targets per route run. We've had plenty of hyped waiver wire weeks where Wicks was the pickup.
39:30Didn't deliver as much as we hoped, but there was a reason for it.
39:35Yeah, because the talent. Because targets per route run 23% in 23, 30% in 24, 21% in 2025.
39:41For context, over the last three years, he's been targeted on a per route basis more frequently than Zay Flowers, Christian Watson, and George Pickens.
39:49Like, this guy has gotten the targets. He was not ready for his opportunity.
39:54What if he is? What if he's ready for the opportunity now with A.J.
39:59Brown out of town and being the true number two, where Makai Lemon is, that's the sexy player.
40:05That's the first round pick. He slithers around. Stowers and Lemon, like we talk about hype trains in the offseason.
40:11Oh, Stowers is... If a hype train could go backwards, the Lemon-Stowers combination of replacements for A.J.
40:17Brown, like... It's just derailment. Yes. What they've done this offseason is to make me like Dontabian Wicks and Dallas Goddard.
40:24That's what those two guys have done. Yeah. Which, there's still hope for Lemon.
40:29For sure. But when you miss so much of camp, it's like those are really, really important reps for a player that's never played in the NFL.
40:38I think Lemon, it will take more time. And in that period of time, Wicks could emerge and be a true threat for this team.
40:46So, I like him at the end of your draft.
40:50All right. My turn. I saw it. Oh, you did?
40:53I looked. You ruined it. You loser. I know.
40:56Come on. If we would have... Keep my stomach contents.
41:00If we would have said last year, Michael Wilson will have a breakout, it would have been like, what are you talking about?
41:07Yeah, that's fair. This guy has done nothing. Good start to this one.
41:12He's done nothing. You would have been like, he's crazy for saying that.
41:16I went team by team and looked at every single depth chart to try to figure out...
41:22I love this, but I hate it. To try to figure out who could truly emerge as a team's wide receiver one.
41:29That is unexpected. That is not... And the truth is, most teams have such a stud at wide receiver, or at least such a solidified guy.
41:38You know, the Cardinals last year, we had hope.
41:41Oh, Marvin Harrison is... Maybe he will be it.
41:44Mike. Mike. If he can get through this without ever saying the name, he's...
41:49Well, he's got to set it up. I got to set this up.
41:53I know. But maybe never say it and just close the show out.
41:58So I went team by team to try to see which situation could have someone surprising emerge.
42:03And the team that stood out to me was the Raiders.
42:07Makes total sense. I mean, you got your Trey McBride and Brock Bowers.
42:12And you were like Jalen Naylor for sure. I was.
42:15I put Jalen Naylor in. Oh, did you really?
42:18I really did. I was like, the team makes sense.
42:21And then I was like... He's too good. Jalen Naylor's just not good enough.
42:26We have seen enough of him to know he's not that dude.
42:30Trey Tucker, then, I was like, let me look at him.
42:34He's got his flashes, but he's a bitty baby boy.
42:37He's not going to actually emerge. But you know who I think is a good wide receiver?
42:43Yeah. Jack Besh, baby. What did he say? What did he say?
42:47Jack Besh. You would... I mean, it's good that Kyle does.
42:51I can hear Kyle giggling in the back. Yeah.
42:54I recognize this is insane. Brother, there's insane, and then there's what you're doing right now.
42:59You wouldn't have to do this. I'm doing it.
43:02I really do think that if the opportunity is given to Jack Besh...
43:07Oh, okay. No, but that's what Michael Wilson needed, right?
43:10No, I know. I know. I know. I know.
43:13Michael Wilson had... But it won't be. ...didn't have the opportunity.
43:17When Marvin Harrison got injured, he was forced into that opportunity.
43:20If Jack Besh is given the opportunity and plays snaps...
43:24I mean, he's a great... He's basically solidified his role as the...
43:28Kyle can't stop laughing. This would be amazing if we ended the show on a slow fade, like down to no volume right now.
43:36Jason just keeps talking about Jack Besh till we fade out.
43:40He's a much better fit in Kubiak's system. Some beat reporters saying he has won the starting slot role.
43:46Jason was doing work from the slot last year.
43:49And the truth is... Let's buy in, Mike. I think Besh is a good player.
43:54I mean... I was never out. Mike and I love Jack Besh as a collegiate player.
44:00But hey. You know, we'll see if he can get on the field.
44:04It's obviously a very deep... You don't like Malik Benson over there?
44:08No. I can see it. I think Jack Besh could come out of nowhere.
44:13I mean, what a great chance to victory lap this someday.
44:17On the show, on the exact show... This is Jason.
44:20Where we... Is that a... This is CNN joke?
44:23No. Oh, okay. Where the exact show where we were kind of poking fun at the George Helani bros.
44:29Yes. We got the Besh bros. The Besh... Well, I mean...
44:33You and Kyle. We in fact are. No, I'm...
44:36Besh is in there too. Yeah, he is. Like, we are the entirety...
44:40We are the Besh bros. The four of us.
44:44It's just the handful of us. Not always the decision you've made.
44:48It's just us in this building. We will keep believing until he is out of the league.
44:53Okay. Give him the opportunity. Which is probably next year.
44:57More... Okay. I'm going to put you on the spot for a real tough question, Mike.
45:02Oh, Gersh. We were talking about... We did a show 10 years ago, right?
45:07So, 10 years from now, we look back from today and we say to ourselves, who has more career receptions?
45:14Ben Sennett or Jack Besh? Oh, to this point?
45:17No, from here on out. Oh, from here on out.
45:20I don't mean give me the numbers of what's actually happened.
