Adonai Mitchell

PositiveSleeper47:12

Adonai Mitchell is highlighted as a top-tier deep sleeper who will likely play every down in the Jets offense. He is expected to benefit from increased team passing volume and has shown the ability to produce despite poor quarterback play.

Insight page

Bo Nix

PositiveValue34:44

Bo Nix is highlighted as an undervalued quarterback being drafted around QB15, despite having a productive history and the addition of a WR1 to his team.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection11:49

Brock Bowers is expected to be the primary target for the Raiders. There is optimism that if Fernando Mendoza secures the starting quarterback role, Bowers will have long-term stability at the position.

Insight page
PositiveValue30:29

Brock Bowers is considered a viable pick at the end of the first round. The source argues that if a drafter believes he will be significantly better than other tight ends, he is worth the draft capital, especially at the turn where he likely won't be available later.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveBreakout27:35

The source is high on Caleb Williams, citing his improved diet, weight loss, and accurate performance in camp videos. Despite poor accuracy stats in college compared to peers like JJ McCarthy and Shedeur Sanders, the source views him as a significant upgrade for the Bears' offense.

Insight page

Cam Ward

NegativeBust26:47

Cam Ward's preseason performance was disappointing, characterized by poor decision-making and a tendency to avoid easy throws in favor of backpedaling. This raises concerns about the overall efficiency of the offense he leads.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveProjection27:31

Despite concerns regarding the quarterback play, the source remains optimistic about Carnell Tate's fantasy outlook, noting that one preseason game is not enough to change their long-term belief in his potential.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

NegativeValue43:07

Drafting CeeDee Lamb in the first round and George Pickens in the second is a viable strategy, but the source strongly advises pairing them with Dak Prescott to capitalize on the double-stack potential.

Insight page

Charlie Kolar

PositiveSleeper32:24

Charlie Kolar is emerging as a deep sleeper candidate. With David Njoku not in his prime and Kolar's collegiate production, he could potentially carve out a role in an offense that has historically utilized tight ends effectively.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveBreakout37:52

The source is bullish on Colson Loveland, suggesting he could emerge as a tier-one tight end. If he dominates targets, it could negatively impact the fantasy value of the Bears' wide receivers.

Insight page

Davante Adams

NegativeValue36:09

Trading a 2027 second-round pick for Davante Adams is only recommended for top-three contending teams. The source notes that at age 34, there is a significant probability that Adams could decline or finish his career soon.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

PositiveValue40:57

The source admits to ignoring standard analytics and probability models in favor of a gut feeling regarding De'Von Achane, acknowledging that while the data might suggest caution, he believes Achane is an exception to the rule.

Insight page

Dontayvion Wicks

NegativeRole8:55

Dontayvion Wicks is identified as a player who could be annoyingly relevant by standing in the way of other fantasy assets. While he could become a weekly flex play, his target share may be capped by the presence of Dallas Goedert and Saquon Barkley.

Insight page

Fernando Mendoza

PositiveProjection28:34

Fernando Mendoza looked good in his preseason outing, completing 10 of 16 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. If he secures the starting job, he could provide much-needed stability for the Raiders' passing attack.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveUsage48:32

The source projects Garrett Wilson to be a target hog in the Jets offense, estimating a 30% target share for the upcoming season.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeValue52:14

Jamar Chase is mentioned in the context of a signed jersey giveaway, with no specific fantasy outlook provided in this segment.

Insight page

Jalen Nailor

PositiveBreakout10:47

Jalen Naylor is projected to be an annoyingly relevant flex option for the Raiders. Given the team's lack of receiving options outside of Brock Bowers, Naylor is expected to command targets and potentially emerge as a startable asset.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

NegativeUsage35:25

Jayden Reed's usage is tied to 11 personnel groupings. While he is on the field for those sets, he was not utilized in two-wide receiver sets, though this may change once Tucker Kraft returns to the lineup.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveRole22:18

Jalen Warren is ranked ahead of Rico Dowdle due to his superior pass-catching ability, veteran reliability in pass protection, and consistent positioning, which the source believes will earn him the lead role over time.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveBreakout16:50

Jeremiah Love is described as an electric, elite-level talent who gains yards above expectation. He is expected to be the primary pass-catching back for the Cardinals, giving him a ceiling as high as an RB5, though his floor is lower than other top-tier backs.

Insight page

LeQuint Allen

NegativeUsage44:26

LaQuint Allen has been working in as a pass-catching option in the backfield, contributing to the potential for a three-headed committee approach.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

NegativeUsage21:36

Matthew Golden was observed playing in two-wide receiver sets, though the source notes this is likely due to the current absence of tight end Tucker Kraft; once Kraft returns, the team is expected to shift back toward 12 personnel.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

NegativeBust47:57

Omar Cooper Jr. is described as undraftable in fantasy formats, with the source noting he is receiving negative press and lacks relevance.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

NegativeRole22:18

Rico Dowdle is competing with Jalen Warren for backfield relevance, but the source expresses concern that Dowdle has a history of playing well only to be benched, making the backfield a coin flip for fantasy purposes.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

NegativeProjection48:36

The source compares Adonai Mitchell's potential role to what Trey Tucker provided in Las Vegas last year, noting Tucker's ability to serve as a downfield threat.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

PositiveBreakout41:50

The source is prioritizing TreyVeon Henderson over Rhamondre Stevenson based on a gut feeling that Henderson is the superior talent who will eventually take over the backfield, despite acknowledging Stevenson's current role and pass-blocking utility.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveInjury21:43

Tucker Kraft is expected to be available for Week 1, which will likely shift the team's offensive personnel usage away from the heavy 11-personnel sets seen recently.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

NegativeUsage6:42

Tyler Allgeier remains a relevant 'snap goblin' who steals opportunities from the primary back, similar to his role in previous seasons. In the preseason, he split carries with Jeremiah Love during the first quarter, seeing three carries on the opening drive.

Insight page

Tyrone Tracy

NegativeUsage7:03

Tyrone Tracy is viewed as an above-average back capable of stealing work, particularly in two-minute drills, which could annoy fantasy managers invested in the primary starter.

0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
0:05Welcome in! Friday, August 14th, the Fantasy Footballers Podcast, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and the Bear, back again.
0:11We have to assume that Mike has the lettuce diarrhea thing.
0:15Hope, hope is the... I'm sorry, I said assume.
0:17Hope, right? That's the word we're looking for here.
0:20We have to hope. Thank you, Al, I think.
0:23He was close. He was close to coming back.
0:26He'll be here Monday for sure. Yeah, he's in preseason form.
0:30You know what I mean? And he's a man of few words.
0:34He hasn't really even given us details about what he's...
0:37No idea. The only thing he said is he's like, whatever he's got, it hit him like a ton of bricks, and
0:44he's down for the count, and we choose to believe he has the lettuce diarrhea thing.
0:49Hope, Andy. We hope he's got... We hope he has the lettuce diarrhea.
0:53The funny thing is, is the difference between him being infected and normal...
0:58He wouldn't know. He wouldn't know. He has no idea.
1:01He's had the lettuce diarrhea thing for... 15 years.
1:0420 years. It's been a long time. Oh, man.
1:07That's how he keeps in shape. I think one of the ways they treat that is the hot salsa at Chipotle.
1:14Yeah. I think that's one of the treatments. That's definitely going to help.
1:18Something like that. We have plenty to talk about though, Jason.
1:21Yeah. Preseason games going on. I mean, maybe LaFleur is a good coach.
1:26I don't know. The Cardinals quarterbacks are like 49 for 55 in the preseason.
1:30Maybe. Maybe. Maybe it was preseason defenses. We will...
1:33Time will tell. We will talk through what we saw last night.
1:37That'll be a big part of the show. We will get into some mailbag questions.
1:42And right here, right now, Jay, just start using that brain of yours to decide which of our ducers will do the mailbag drop and why.
1:50So just think about that. We got a while before that.
1:54We have a little bit of time. I will...
1:57I will work on it. I'm going to workshop that.
2:00Keep them all guessing. Yeah. But I want... I've got good reasons for all three.
2:05Right. I want you to pick... This is fantastic.
2:08I want you to pick one and then give us the reason when we get to the mailbag.
2:13Yeah. And then we'll find out together. Yeah. It's really good.
2:17That's a great idea. Let me see. I'm looking at the faces.
2:21I want to see who's sweating the most. Happy, happy.
2:24Three happy people. Okay. Oh, see he's... Oh, Josh giving the thumbs up.
2:28Josh is playing the reverse psychology game. Yeah. Yeah.
2:31Sponsored by SiriusXM and sponsored by GMC and PetSmart.
2:34Friday the 28th. It's two weeks away. That's two weeks from today.
2:38We'll be live in Phoenix. 800 plus foot clan.
2:41There are a handful of seats you can still grab at ballerslive.com, but that is coming up.
2:46Super excited to be in person with you before the season kicks off.
2:51We'll be doing bold predictions. You'll be part of a live episode of the show.
2:56You'll get to do the mail back. Like right now, it's an honor.
3:00So whoever, whichever deucer I make do the mail back today, I'm honoring them.
3:04Yes. Yeah, you are. And we want to honor everyone of the foot clan that will be at that live show, ballerslive.com.
3:11Might not be honoring the ears of the listeners, but the people doing it, it's an honor.
3:17You can follow us on X at the FFBallers.
3:20Follow Mike at FFHitman, Jason at Jason Moore. I'm at Andy Holloway.
3:24And it's a great time to jump into our free discord at ballersdiscord.com if you want to be part of the community.
3:31I don't know what that number's at. It's probably 60, 70,000 folks in there.
3:35Great place to find leagues. Talk about your upcoming drafts.
3:39It's just a great community of human beings that you can check out.
3:43Our quick question of the day today, Jason, you ready for this?
3:47I am ready. Who is someone that's going to be annoyingly relevant in fantasy this year?
3:52So you might give this type of player a nickname like a snap goblin.
3:56Somebody that is just out there either stealing snaps from somebody else or stealing production from somebody else.
4:02The Tyler Algier of the past and possibly the Tyler Algier of the present as well.
4:07My answer for this is there's two things that have to come together to make us really angry.
4:13One is you take a talented player and you put them on the bench in certain situations.
4:19And two is the coach that is required to do such things.
4:23So to me, it's Tyrone Tracy. Oh, this is a Matt Nagy attack?
4:27This is a Matt Nagy. I mean, I do think by the end of the season, Scadaboo will have established it.
4:34But to start the season, like I love Cam Scadaboo, loved his tape coming out.
4:39I mean, we've talked about that for a year and a half.
4:42And then he proved he was the dude that he was in college on the NFL field.
4:48He could continue to run people over and then unfortunate injury.
4:52And it looks like he should be the centerpiece of this office.
4:55Him and neighbors should really be the engine that makes it work.
4:59But I just don't trust Matt Nagy. I think that Tyrone Tracy is an above average back.
5:05I mean, it does take a back behind the starter who is capable.
5:09They're not going to throw in, you know, a Zemir White and be like, go, you know, take over.
5:15But Algier's good. Blake Corum's good. Tyrone Tracy's a good player.
5:19He's not a bad player. It would be annoying if two-minute drills were Tyrone Tracy.
5:24Yeah, if he gets involved in the passing game and all of a sudden you're sitting there with 14 opportunities a game for Scadaboo, you'll be really upset.
5:33I have two names. One is Dontavian Wicks of the Eagles.
5:36I think that will be an annoyingly relevant player because he will stand in the way of what fantasy players want to see the most.
5:44You're saying Mekhi Lemon. Mekhi Lemon, like a rookie wide receiver having success.
5:49That's fun. I mean, you know, a kind of journeyman, rarely relevant player that switches teams.
5:54Let me push back on that. What if Wicks becomes a very relevant wide receiver flex play on a weekly basis?
6:01Would that, like, I don't see Tyrone Tracy doing enough where you could start it, but what if Wicks is startable?
6:07Because I think that's in the range of outcomes here.
6:11It's in the range of outcomes, but it'll still be annoying because the process of a wide receiver two or maybe the
6:18third or fourth target on this team, when you consider Goddard and Saquon, that player's probably not getting stronger over the back
6:25half as Mekhi Lemon gets healthier and more involved.
6:28So that's where I think it might be annoying because I don't know if you can ever count on him, but he
6:35will stand in the way of somebody. I also just want to mention this.
6:39This is more annoying, I think, just like you guys or other people that don't want him to have any success for some reason.
6:47I think Jalen Naylor is going to be annoyingly relevant for the Raiders.
6:51So this is like, you think he's good? I think he's better.
6:55And that will annoy me. It would very much annoy me.
6:59To put it in the most plain, stupid language possible, every offense plays four quarters, and they have to have somebody go
7:06run routes on the outside and receive targets. And this team has got very few names that aren't Brock Bowers, but they're going to get the ball.
7:15And I think Jalen Naylor will be an annoyingly relevant acquisition that I think will be, I think it's more likely that
7:22Jalen Naylor is that flex guy that you can start than it is Dontavionowicz.
7:26And that would be the annoying part of it.
7:29I don't think so. I think Brock Bowers takes over, but that is to your point.
7:34That would be annoying, wouldn't it? That would be super annoying.
7:38Other shout-out names, I think if LaQuint Allen is involved for the Jacksonville Jaguars, oh man, everyone will be upset.
7:45Because it's like, if it's not tootin', let it be crawd.
7:48And if LaQuint Allen comes in for passing work, it's just going to be nobody.
7:53Kenny Gainwell, obviously. He was a thorn in the side for the Steelers' backfield last year, leading the team in receiving.
8:00Bucky managers will be not happy there. And then we saw it in preseason.
8:04Charlie Kolar, he could end up being very, very, very annoying.
8:08Why can't you say Kolar? Well, now I'm going to go further.
8:12It's not, you don't like. It's Kolar. It's not Kolar.
8:15No, it's Kolar. Like Kolarny sauce? Yeah, that's right.
8:18Like a molar? Like you pull your molars? Yes, exactly.
8:21Dummy. All right, news time. News and notes from around the league.
8:25Hey, I've never heard that in my life until you said it yesterday.
8:29Yeah. I mean, every time I've ever heard Charlie Kolar's name.
8:33Kolar. Oh, gosh. Yeah. No, I just want. And then yesterday you just invented.
8:37I mean, maybe. I'm going to leave the door open that I've said it wrong my whole life.
8:43No, no, no, no, no, no. That everybody else has said it wrong their whole life.
8:48But. That. You don't need to leave that door open.
8:52Okay. All right. This is not inside information where I'm trying to correct you.
8:56Okay. You don't have a video of like his mom when he was three years old referring to him with his last name.
9:04No, this is. We had a preseason night. Yeah.
9:06Lots of news. I want to kind of go through a ton of names and talk about some things that I saw.
9:14Talk about what I loved. Talk about some things I hated.
9:17I will start with what I kind of said at the top.
9:21It is kind of a weird thing to say because the Cardinals have the lowest projected win total.
9:27Like we've ever seen. It's four and a half wins.
9:30Three and a half. Three and a half. Yeah.
9:33It moved down. It opened at four and a half.
9:36Yeah. So three and a half is like, and this is 17 game season.
9:41We have not seen that in decades. So to say all that through two weeks, their quarterback play, their offensive play calling,
9:48all of that stuff, even if the vanilla against bad defenses.
9:51It's hard to ask for much more than what you've seen.
9:55Jacoby Brissett was perfect yesterday. Great touchdown pass to Marvin Harrison.
9:59You saw the week before how good Carson Beck was.
10:02Gardner Minshew was 12 of 14. The Cardinals are 49 of 55 or something like that at the quarterback position.
10:08So I'm just saying like, and then what else you saw from Arizona last night was Jeremiah Love's debut.
10:14Electric. Yeah. It is like the minimum possible descriptor.
10:1711 for 58, three for 14 comparisons to Adrian Peterson on the cuts.
10:22Amazing work in the receiving game. And, and to me, it's a headline move to have so much work given to Jeremiah
10:29Love and not like just be splitting it with Tyler Algier the whole time who did get work.
10:35But like, I don't know. It gave me more confidence that this is just something that's going to be obvious and in place.
10:42Cardinals are going to be trailing in a million games.
10:45Jeremiah Love is going to be the pass catcher in all those situations.
10:49What I saw last night was, was a top back in the NFL and whether the opportunities are there or not.
10:56But I'm just saying, crack the door open that the Cardinals offense, even if their team sucks, their offense might be a lot better than people expect.
11:05Therefore, Jeremiah Love could be better than people expect.
11:08Yeah. You, you, you can never shut the door on someone that talented.
11:12Every time he touches the ball, he will gain extra yards above expectation.
11:16There's just, he is, I mean, he's truly a sensational elite level.
11:20You're talking about the, the Bijon, the Gibbs, uh, you know, the Gentie, those guys that are drafted there, you know, going
11:27all the way back, Zeke and those types where it's like, yeah, this is a, a difference maker that other guys can't replicate it.
11:35So it's just a matter of how many times does he touch the ball and is he catching the ball or getting carries more?
11:43And then how, how many opportunities around the goal line?
11:46That is the whole argument against, uh, Jeremiah Love.
11:49No, nobody out there is saying he's not, he's overrated.
11:52He's not, he's unbelievably good. We broke down everything that it takes to be a running back one in fantasy two shows ago.
12:00You average 10 touchdowns. You get probably not going to happen.
12:03Well, I think you could easily get 10 combined touchdowns.
12:07Right. It's combined touchdowns. Yeah. So, I mean, I think that's an easy, I mean, if, if Gentie can do it last
12:14year, this is, Jeremiah Love's a better player as a runner and a passer than Gentie.
12:19He is. In my opinion, I, they're not very close to me in terms of where, um, well, I mean, they might
12:26be close, but I think Jeremiah Love's a better player.
12:29He, Mike talked about, he scouted him better than Bijan.
12:32He scouted him better than, um, than Gentie. I just think that 10 is 10 is not out of the realm of possibility at all.
12:41We we've had years and years of bad offense in Arizona where James Connor was a, a double digit touchdown threat.
12:47But so I, all I'm saying is like, what is the ceiling for Jeremiah Love?
12:52This is not the promise. This is the ceiling.
12:55What do you think the ceiling is this year?
12:58Honestly? I mean, I have, you, you said you didn't trust Matt Nagy in New York, right?
13:04What I saw last night was very encouraging to me.
13:07Not just the play by Jeremiah Love, the snaps with the starters.
13:11Right. Why did you not see if they were going to do the real stupid coaching mechanism?
13:16Why did not, why didn't you see 50, 50 snaps with Tyler Algier, the off season acquisition?
13:22Well, they, they did the first quarter. They split carries the first quarter.
13:26Algier saw three carries on the first drive. So they, and then, and so, you know, it's, it's, uh, as the game
13:33went on, Love got much more work and is obviously the more explosive.
13:37Yeah, I think the ceiling for him is like running back five.
13:41Yeah, it's, it's around there. I mean, I, I feel like I put it closer to 10.
13:47The floor is much lower than the guys being drafted in that range.
13:51But I don't, I don't, I don't mind taking the shot on someone who is as talented as Jeremiah Love.
13:57It was nice to see him on the field.
14:00And LaFleur, this is the thing. Like Nagy, Nagy gives me no confidence.
14:04LaFleur gives me confidence that, hey, he's just going to try to score the most points he can with a bad team.
14:12De'Juan Stribling was awesome. I mean, he's seven for 63 with the starters pulled with, I think, seven minutes left in the first half on eight targets.
14:20This is an offense where this is what you wanted to see.
14:24This is the, this is why the ADP is going to rise.
14:28You have Mike Evans, who is an injury prone, older receiver who has never been a high volume receiver in, in his career ever.
14:36He's, he's a 70 to 80 catch guy. Ricky Pearsall is out for the season.
14:41Juwan Jennings is no longer a member of this team.
14:44No. So this is what you wanted to see was like, take advantage of your opportunity to start.
14:50What is so exciting about this. So the draft pick was mocked and the history of the 49ers reaching on guys who
14:57are not good enough for where they're drafting, especially in those like, you know, second, third round is there's, there's a laundry list.
15:04In fact, it seems like they did it already again.
15:08This draft with Kalen black. However, that doesn't mean that they get everything wrong.
15:12The camp reports on stripling have been outstanding. They've been saying he's the best wide receiver in camp.
15:18So to see that happen in the first preseason game, you go, okay.
15:22I mean, this guy was taken like, like 33rd or 33rd.
15:26Yeah. I mean, overall in the draft. So the capital is there.
15:30The opportunity is there. The question is, is the talent there?
15:33And the reports have been that it's been there.
15:36And then he shows up in the first game.
15:39Super impressive. He has the speed. He has the size.
15:42He has the hands. And I don't know that his ADP can go too high.
15:47Like it will rise. But he's so low in ADP that your average leagues probably won't draft him.
15:53Which will keep his ADP just buried. I'm going to the strip club.
15:57Oh, man. I'm going to the strip club. You naughty boy.
16:01You naughty boy. So I was excited. Let me go to a bad, something bad I saw yesterday.
16:07Okay. That was the last possible thing I wanted to see from Cam Ward is what I saw yesterday.
16:13The Cam Ward, the Cam Ward, you're like, oh, it's a preseason game.
16:17That matters to me because we had a, we had a freshman year where there was decision-making challenges.
16:23And what I saw yesterday, I believe he was five for 12 passing Jason.
16:27And he wouldn't take easy throws. Instead, he, he kept the, the, the backpedal game of, of getting the pass rush and,
16:34oh, I can backpedal out of this. Like Kyler does sometimes.
16:38I was disappointed and it really concerned me. It's one week.
16:42Maybe he comes out and he's better next week, but I didn't like what I saw from Cam Ward.
16:48It concerned me about the Carnell Tate, uh, about that offense.
16:51And I, I've been optimistic about them, but it's all dependent.
16:55And we've said this a million times. It's all dependent on Cam Ward taking a step forward, not backwards or neutral.
17:02Yeah. Neutral is not good enough. No, he has, he has to take some step forward.
17:07But I, I do think that, um, one preseason game is not enough to move me off of my belief in Carnell Tate.
17:14Fernando Mendoza was 10 for 16, 97 yards and a touchdown to Jack Bash.
17:19Poor Mike, not here to celebrate it. But, uh, there you go.
17:23It was nice to see. Yeah. Behind the scenes.
17:26I don't know if the foot clan is as aware.
17:29I know he loved Bash. Um, especially if you listen to the dynasty show, Bash was one of the guys that Mike was really excited pre-draft.
17:37And then surprisingly he got good draft capital and was like, okay, they saw what I see.
17:43And then he did nothing. In our Slack, any whisper of Jack Bash is like, we're back, baby.
17:49Yeah, we're not. No. We're not. Naylor, Tucker. I think Benson's better than Bash.
17:53Mendoza looked good though. Well, and people need to realize if Mendoza is what he's supposed to be, Brock Bowers will have stability for a decade.
18:02So that's an exciting proposition for him. Like the Cardinals with Trey McBride, we don't have that answer long-term.
18:08So when you look at a dynasty league, if you weren't already on the Bowers over McBride's side, just keep that in mind.
18:15You will have stability if Mendoza works out at the quarterback position with a play caller and head coach that you trust in Clint Kubiak.
18:23All right. You want another, where do you want to go?
18:27Negative? I got a real negative for you. Okay.
18:30You can probably close the door on Aranda Gadsden being a thing.
18:34Oh, that's a big one. I mean, he played 27 snaps and they sat their starters.
18:39So Charlie Kohler, David Njoku rested with all the starters and here was Gadsden playing 27 snaps.
18:44Yeah. All the reports. This is so we talk about this time of year, don't overreact preseason, which I would, I would urge you on the Cardinals front.
18:53Like that seems like the classic look how good this team is.
18:57Do you remember when the Steelers were just unbelievable?
19:00They didn't have a drive that didn't end in a touchdown for the entire preseason with Kenny Pickett.
19:06They were so good and it was, and, and we kind of bought in and it was like, oh, it was preseason.
19:13However, the things that we say pay attention to are things that continue from drum beats and camp like stripling and also
19:20snap orders and like who is out, who's rested with starters.
19:24The camp reports on Gadsden is that he has not been playing with the starters at all.
19:29And then the Chargers come out and they rest their starters and Gadsden plays.
19:34So that is really bad news. Yeah, it's not great.
19:37Not that he was high on our boards anymore, but it was kind of confirmation of what we expect to see.
19:44Honestly, Charlie Kohler is like entering the deep sleeper category because you think he could be out there all the time.
19:51And you talked about yesterday, he had collegiate production.
19:54He got paid a bunch of money. Najoku is not in his prime.
19:58Like you could get it. Like Will Disley had relevance with Herbert.
20:02Yeah. For like a lot of games. Well, and so did Gadsden.
20:06Herbert's good at throwing to the tight end. And so this is an offense I think you want pieces of.
20:12It just doesn't seem it's going to be Gadsden.
20:15It could be Najoku. It could be Kolar. Oh, gosh, don't do this.
20:19I'm going to do it. Isaac Teslop played. All the starters for Detroit rested.
20:24Teslop. You know what I'm saying? You're in real special form.
20:27Yeah. I love that. So we just got for those listening, we just got what looks like all of our monitors broke
20:34because that was the Teslop drop minus the sound.
20:37Yeah. So for the audio listening audience, you're like, what?
20:41Yeah. No, there was just like is like our monitors broke.
20:44Interesting. Supposed to be an electrical effect. Man. Does he want another chance at this?
20:49I'm just wondering as I'm deciding who does the mock, you know, the mailbag drop here.
20:54Oh, maybe I should penalize Jeremy on that one.
20:57Hmm. Jeremy's trying to say Dropbox broke it. I don't know about that.
21:01Okay. Minus one to Jeremy. It's Kohler, Jason. It's Kohler.
21:05I know. I know it's Charlie Kolar, but I'm just saying it.
21:09Just confirmed it. All right. Anything else from the headlines?
21:12I mean, we had. I would say a couple things.
21:15Hampton and Keaton Mitchell sat as well with the starters.
21:18Kamani Vidal played. He's definitely a depth piece. There's good news, bad news with the Packers and Jaden Reed specifically.
21:25The good news is they played a ton of 11 personnel, which that's when Jaden Reed's on the field.
21:31The bad news is when they went down to two wide receivers, he wasn't there.
21:36It was Golden. Matthew Golden is in two wide receiver.
21:39And I will say this right now. They don't have Tucker Kraft.
21:43When Tucker Kraft comes back, that is more likely to have two wide receivers on the field.
21:4812 personnel. And by the way, Kraft will be there week one.
21:52Sure. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just saying right this second, the reason they were playing so much 11 personnel, I wouldn't look into
21:59that like, oh, they're going to be all 11 personnel anymore.
22:03They didn't have Kraft yet. And this one's really stupid.
22:06I mean, this is an irrelevant one, but I just, for some reason, it, it, it.
22:11One of the things I was watching for, but like the first play, you know, the honorary, who gets the honorary first
22:18snap, Jalen Warren got it over Rico Dowdle. So I don't know.
22:22That's, I feel like that backfield has the potential to have real fantasy relevance for where those guys are drafted.
22:29But I just don't know which way to go.
22:32Like I'm like coin flip right now. So I was paying attention and I saw Jalen Warren out.
22:38I was like, okay, maybe. Is that how you have him?
22:41Statted Warren ahead. I do have Warren ahead right now.
22:44More pass catching. You know, Mike and I are both Rico.
22:48Yeah. And I don't blame you. I don't, I don't blame you at all.
22:52I, my, my argument has always been that I think that when push comes to shove, Aaron Rogers is going to want
23:00the, um, the not, not even the better pass catcher where they can both catch the ball, but Jalen Warren's such like a veteran.
23:07He's going to be in the right place, the right time, the right pass protection.
23:12He's just, Jalen Warren does everything right. Rico plays well and then somehow gets benched.
23:17So I assume maybe he doesn't. So that's where I think I'm on the Warren side.
23:22But yeah. Yeah. We, uh, we got to draw the line there.
23:26We are going to take a quick break and then come back, uh, and get Jason's analysis of who's doing the mailbag.
23:33Important. Can I, can I like just contribute a few thoughts to your process?
23:38I've got a, I've got a, I've got a, uh, cause Mike's not here.
23:42Chart here. Mike's not here. Jay Grizz. Oh, he said he's not going to do it.
23:48Okay. The mailbag drop. That's fair. So we've got, uh, the three ducers.
23:52We've got Al who obviously had that huge snafu a moment ago.
23:56Yeah. That was a minus. Actually minus two. Cause he's tried to skirt it with Dropbox.
24:01Um, yeah. Blame something else. Uh, and then, then you got Josh and look, he's always deserving.
24:06Always. He's as he's minus two for age and baldness, age and baldness.
24:11And honestly, I'm giving him another minus one for that thumbs up.
24:14He gave a thumbs up earlier. Like you could call on me.
24:18Right. Give me a break. Yeah. That was annoying.
24:21Um, he's annoyingly relevant. He's the annoyingly relevant ducer too.
24:24Yeah. Yeah. And then we have, uh, the Falcon who, I mean, it goes without saying what happened at the end of last yesterday's show.
24:33Excuse making. I don't even. Oh yeah. About the, about your video and like, oh, I'm going to take like three days to figure the traces out.
24:41He did. I should finally get it out. Yeah.
24:44You don't know why? Cause I called him out on the show.
24:48Yeah. Exactly. And I went, good work. Good work.
24:51Um, yeah, the video's out. If you want to see me golf poorly and give a few, uh, stat nuggets.
24:58Um, actually the video I think is, is, is doing well.
25:01I'm not too ashamed of it, which is so shameful.
25:04Right. You should be ashamed of not being ashamed.
25:07Yeah. But I, I actually am not ashamed. I think it was a good video as well produced.
25:13And so for the honor of how good that was, it's definitely the Falcon.
25:18I mean, what an honor I'm giving you. Mailbag.
25:21Oh, we're about to have someone fired on live.
25:23Oh my gosh. We are about, can I explain?
25:26Did you not understand that the Falcon was supposed to do that?
25:30Okay. So Matt, Jeremy suggested that all of us do the mailbag together, which we were fine with.
25:36And then Matt DMs me. Oh, do you guys own the company?
25:40Matt DMs me and says, let's not jump in with Jeremy so that Jeremy winds up doing it all by himself.
25:47Matt. Oh, that's. So I picked the right guy.
25:50Jeremy and I were talking saying, hey, we're not going to screw each other on.
25:55And then Matt didn't do it because he thought we were all going to do it together.
26:00I've got a fix for that. And it would be, it would be, it would be kind of.
26:06Is it change of employment? No, no, no. Change of employment is part of it.
26:11I got a fix for it. I'm not hitting that drop again, but you're going to be doing it.
26:17Yes. You're going to do the music. You're going to do the music and the mailbag.
26:22Get the camera over there. All right. So we're going to go.
26:26You're doing the whole thing. You're going to be the guitar.
26:30You know how the drop sounds. Yes. And this, keep in mind, and I, your job might depend on it.
26:36So let's go. Let's get into the mailbag. All right.
26:39Da-da-da-da. Da-da-da-da. Mailbag. Yes. Oh, man. Oh, you know it's good when you can hear Al Borland probably on our microphones.
26:46I promise you are responsible for more than two car accidents right now.
26:50All right. We're in the mailbag. We're in the mailbag.
26:53We're going to get it started. Lots of questions.
26:56Lots of things to talk about. Also, I will say that was terrible.
27:01I mean, like you didn't hit any of the beats.
27:04You're in here for every show. He's heard it before.
27:07He's heard it before. He heard it right before.
27:10Da-da-da-da. And he went, da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. Real Kolar situation. All right.
27:13Kolar. Matthew writing in, the Madden curse has given many reasons for us to believe it is somewhat true.
27:19Can we really be high on Caleb Williams? And then I've got the chart here of the Madden.
27:25There's a lot of curses. Well, listen. Here's what the Madden curse really is.
27:30And I don't know if we just want the joke answer.
27:33Here's what the Madden curse is. It's called, you can't be the best at the game two years in a row.
27:40That's Madden curse. So was Saquon Barkley curse last year?
27:43Because Saquon Barkley wasn't, he didn't do his, he didn't win the Super Bowl and finish number one at the position.
27:50He was okay. Wasn't good. Was he okay? I mean, I would say he's a medium level of curse.
27:56But I'm just saying, Saquon Barkley last year. Let's say we didn't expect him to be, I mean, he was being drafted
28:03maybe to be the running back one again. But he wasn't even a running back one.
28:09If you want to say he's cursed, that's fine.
28:12The year before, McCaffrey cursed. But before that, we had a run of four straight guys.
28:17Mahomes. Josh Allen. Lamar. Mahomes twice. With Brady. To me, it is, you reward the guys that played the best by putting them on the cover.
28:25Then why did they reward Caleb Williams? That's the real question.
28:29Because he didn't play the best. Because he had one play that was worth putting him on a cover for.
28:35The fourth down conversion. I'm high on Caleb Williams.
28:38I'm high on the offense. I like that he lost some weight.
28:42I'm high on Caleb. I don't think he's cursed.
28:45The accuracy. I think you were already cursed as a bear.
28:48Yeah. So this is the uncurse. It's the uncurse.
28:51It's the reverse, the curse. Yeah. Put him on the cover.
28:55I agree. I'm in on Caleb. Can't triple stamp a double stamp?
28:59You can't triple stamp a double stamp. You just can't do it.
29:03No. Caleb Williams should be very good this year.
29:06The fact that he changed his diet, lost the weight, but then the accuracy reports are very good.
29:11Everything that I've been watching, like camp videos, not the ones that are like the team puts out the one highlight.
29:18But like when I'm watching pass after pass after pass, there's no, it's just, it's been very accurate.
29:24And that's if Caleb Williams could be accurate. In fact, here's a stat that I shared in the golf video is the
29:31fact that Caleb Williams, the only two players that were worse in accuracy last year for Caleb Williams was Matt Falcon.
29:38Who was, who were the two? JJ McCarthy and Shadur.
29:41Yeah. JJ McCarthy and Shadur Sanders were the only guys worse.
29:45Now you could say, well, that's really bad for Caleb, but that's also like, what if he's average?
29:51What a, what a step up for this offense.
29:54If he's not throwing, you know, 58% of his passes for completions.
29:57It's a huge growth opportunity for a guy who wasn't bad last year, but still it's like he doesn't need to go from 27 passing touchdowns to 42.
30:07No, no. And I think he's going to run a ton.
30:10I think the upside of these, you know, a full season of Loveland burden, a duns, a that head coach, that offensive line, Swift and Manong guy.
30:19There are, it may be a lot of bluster for the, for the bears.
30:23You know, their head coach is overconfident maybe, but the personnel are capable of executing it.
30:29Bowers question from RJ is Brock Bowers at the end of the first round.
30:33Crazy. I like him better than most around that ADP.
30:36I think a funny question or part to throw in here for context, Jay, you got to pick 10 yesterday.
30:43We talked about Jefferson. I mean, I don't see it being out of bounds to draft Bowers over Jefferson.
30:49We had a question recently on a different show where it was like, where is too high?
30:54And 10 was the spot where I said, I'm okay.
30:58Drafting them there. Would I personally, probably not. There's still some guys there that I really like, but if you're taking that
31:05tight end, if you believe he's going to be a point different, you know, like two points better than second place, that
31:12is absolutely where the first round pick. And so, you know, once you get past James Cook, Jonathan Taylor, the five wide
31:19receivers and the superstar running backs, I feel like you're at the back of the first and you could make an argument
31:26that Brock Bowers is just as good as any of those guys.
31:30So yeah, the back of the first, it's earlier than you maybe should take him.
31:35But if you don't take him there, if you want Brock Bowers and you don't take him there, you're probably not getting, I guess.
31:43No, you're not. If you, if you are drafting at the turn.
31:47At the turn specifically. Then you're, you do, you don't have a chance.
31:51No. You don't take them or. Yeah. And I don't think it's bad to take them at the turn.
31:57G Thorpe writing in my league always has a huge quarterback run after, after the first one gets drafted.
32:03Should I stick to ADP value or grab a quarterback early?
32:07So. This is tears. I mean, you, you know, your league now that's, that's one of the things that this show is
32:14all about is you cannot perfectly apply everything we say to every single league situation.
32:19We want to give you like advice that you apply to your league context and then you go and benefit.
32:25If you know that that's, what's going to happen.
32:28Let me tell you what's going to happen. If there's a huge quarterback run after the first quarterback gets drafted, that means
32:35a ton of wide receivers and running backs are dropping further than they should in their ADP.
32:41So that's a guarantee. When we did our mock yesterday, I was thrilled when two or three quarterbacks went right in front
32:48of where I was able to take somebody because they get knocked down the list.
32:53So I wouldn't get caught up in the run.
32:56Right. I mean. I definitely wouldn't get caught up in the run at quarterback.
33:00There are certain positions where what happens with the tears, tier based drafting.
33:04And if you've got the UDK, all of our rankings are in tiers so that you can kind of group certain players.
33:12It's not just like, oh, this guy's the fifth ranked quarterback and this guy's the ninth ranked quarterback.
33:17If they're in the same tier, they're basically saying the range of outcomes is so similar to those guys.
33:23When you're drafting by tiers, that's where the dictate of you look at which guys you want, like what tiers you're happy with leaving the draft.
33:32For me, there are lower tier quarterbacks I am happy leaving the draft with.
33:36If you're not, then when you start running out of the tier above that where you're like, this is where I'll be
33:44happy, then yeah, pull the trigger even if it's ahead of ADP.
33:47But I agree with Andy specifically on quarterbacks. If your league pushes quarterbacks up, that is the perfect opportunity to just keep
33:55smashing running backs and wide receivers, getting better value than you should.
33:58And then grab the late guys that have the chance.
34:02You know, there's a handful of late quarterbacks this year.
34:05There's a lot of them. There's actually a lot.
34:08Yeah. That are really exciting. I mean, there's a world where you're getting Matthew Stafford wildly late and he's great.
34:14I mean, Goff is another one. Purdy is another one.
34:18Dak is another one. I mean, even. Darts going.
34:21Caleb is another one. Darts going. Last I saw was in the ninth round.
34:25That's an exciting one. The funny thing is there is a.
34:29I met my maximum scared at this exact moment, by the way.
34:32With dart? With dart. Oh, for sure. For sure.
34:35I mean, again, Nagy ruins all. But there is a quarterback who was the quarterback seven two years ago, and that was his rookie year.
34:44Then he was the quarterback six this last year.
34:46Then they added a wide receiver one to the team.
34:50Lost nobody. And he's being drafted as like the quarterback 15.
34:53So if you're in a single quarterback league, he's basically not drafted, which is Bo Nix.
34:58Yep. And Trevor Lawrence. And I mean, the list goes on.
35:02So just keep. Bear that in mind. Scarf up them running backs and wide receivers.
35:07We have. Obviously, we were supposed to do our top 10 tips and tricks show today.
35:12Mike is out. We've kicked it back to next week.
35:15It's going to be great. But one of the things I'm going to talk about as a teaser.
35:21Oh, no. Spoiler. Oh, tease. Okay. Tease is fine.
35:24Tease is a different spoiler. Teaser. Yeah. Well, it depends on how much you give away.
35:29Is I'm going to talk about how important it is to keep grabbing those running backs and wide receivers in the context
35:36of the last 20 years of fantasy and what you need.
35:40That's good. That was a good teaser. I didn't say anything.
35:43Honestly. Yeah. I want to hear it. Yeah. And you're going to.
35:47Awesome. If you subscribe. Unless I catch that lettuce diarrhea.
35:51Can you get that from another person? I think so.
35:54Yeah. Really? You got to kiss. Yeah. I think.
35:57I think you'd have to like. Yeah. Yeah. So, yes.
36:00League tendencies. We just talked about that with the quarterbacks.
36:03Let's go to T. Grove here. Dynasty question. Is Devontae Adams worth trading a 20, 27 second round pick?
36:09No. To get. I don't think so. I mean, if you are.
36:13This is the nuance of Dynasty. Yeah. If you're a contender, I'm happy to add Adams for a second round pick.
36:20Why? Because that second round pick is going to be late.
36:24If you're an actual contender. And Adams, I think, can give you another year of high production.
36:29You need the depth and Dynasty. I'm okay with it if you're a top three team.
36:34If you're. The nuance matters there. If you are really, truly a.
36:38One of the best. Not like I'm competing for a championship, but I'm one of the seven.
36:44There's seven of us that are in it. If you're like a top three team and you know this is going to
36:51be near a third round pick if you do well.
36:54Okay. You can. You can convince me. But otherwise, I do think in general, just taking teams out of it.
37:01A 20, 27 second round pick is probably worth more at this point than Devontae Adams, who it's not outside the range of outcomes that Devontae Adams.
37:09This season is done. Like he could come out this year and be like, oh, okay.
37:14He, you know, he's 33 and 34 this year.
37:17He just kind of lost a step. It's funny because I'm, I'm like leaning on McVay and the Rams and their moves
37:24at wide receiver to tell me that Adams still has it in some regards.
37:29Yeah. But they did that with Alan Robinson. And they were wrong before.
37:33I was wrong, but they were wrong. Yeah. You can't always do it.
37:37We just make probability bets here and probability bets say a guy turning 34 this year doesn't have a lot left in the tank.
37:45Help me understand this question on Instagram here. Westbrook writing in better 2026 for Carnell Tate or any Bears wide receiver.
37:52Is that just. Yeah. So, so that's versus that's tape versus six round versus burden in the fifth or dunes in the six.
37:59Exactly right. That's what it is. So, so Tate or the bears.
38:03Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I know what he's going to vote.
38:07I think I'm going to vote it too. I am.
38:10I like Tate, but I, I can't imagine that one of the bears don't outperform Tate.
38:15I can easily imagine. To have a good imagination.
38:18Well, the thing is, is Colson Loveland could very well be the number one target.
38:23It could also be Rome. It could also be burden.
38:26And should all three be very, very involved. I think that there's a world where you're disappointed.
38:32Definitely with the two wide receivers because a tight end doesn't need to do as much to be valuable at that position.
38:39But if, if Colson Loveland has a breakout season, really good.
38:42If he dominates and becomes like, Hey, he is a tier one tight end, which a lot of people are projecting.
38:49Um, I know we are pretty bullish on him.
38:52If that happens, I don't think that burden or Odunze splitting the rest will be a top 15 wide receiver.
38:58In which case Cardinal Tate should easily lead this team in targets.
39:02I think he gets 140 plus targets this year as a rookie.
39:06Ooh. Yeah. That's a lot. Yeah. And if he does, it would be not worried about the like Wandale and Ridley and
39:13any of those guys contributing to the. It wasn't, I mean, it wasn't a good day last night for Tate.
39:20Not that it needed to be. He didn't catch a pass.
39:23Um, but I was just curious what you thought there.
39:27Let's take a break and we'll jump into some more mailbag.
39:30Okay. I'm still mad at Falcon, by the way.
39:33That was one of the, that's one of the worst things that's happened.
39:37We were, we were literally doing a recording of a podcast listened to by millions and he made it worse, but then you made it better.
39:46Okay. By making him by making him do it again.
39:49Yeah. It's good, but it's been a tough two days for him.
39:53Uh, we'll take a break. A lot of people don't understand that it's owl O W L Borland, right?
39:59They think it's Al Borland. A lot of people don't know that it's not Falcon.
40:04It's failkin. Right. F A I L C O N.
40:07That's right. Falcon. The Falcon. Mm-hmm. Fly. Fly Falcon.
40:10I accept. Oh. All right. I, I, I sensed a tiny bit of humility in his reply right time.
40:16A tiny bit of humility, a tiny bit of shame, a tiny bit of sadness.
40:21Uh, not enough of any of those. Not enough of any of those.
40:25That's right. That is what I was saying. Um, Instagram question from GS Laney, 41.
40:30People say, I want to work for the ballers.
40:33No, you don't. Good job on that video yesterday.
40:36Great job. Thank you. Uh, no, he was talking to me on the swing.
40:40Yeah. Yeah. Cause you left the, it was not the swing.
40:44You left the microphones out at home. Um, when is a time you threw analytics out the window on a player you had a gut feeling on?
40:53I mean, I think part of me is doing that with Devon H.
40:57And right now because sure, you know, you, you, we, we've, I understand you can comprehend all the arguments of something and
41:04still choose to reject them because arguments, analytics, those are percentage odds of something happening.
41:09If let's say you have something that has a 70% chance of happening, you might say, well, I'm really up against it.
41:16Well, there's a 30% chance that you're wrong. And so for me, I'm throwing out Malik Willis's lack of passing to the running back.
41:24Why? Cause it's a chance and he doesn't play starting quarterback very much.
41:28I love, I love that take. Um, it's true.
41:31You are spitting in the face of the probabilities, but it's, you're right to point out that the probabilities are not guarantees.
41:38So, you know, if you believe that this is the exception to that rule, there are exceptions to that rule.
41:45That's, I would say this year, the player that I am that way with is Travion Henderson.
41:50Uh, okay. I totally recognize, totally recognize that Ramondre Stevenson is kind of that starter that Ramondre Stevenson is good.
41:57That Ramondre Stevenson is a better pass blocker. That Ramondre Stevenson is an important part of this offense.
42:02And I'm like, I don't care. Travion is better and he will take over this backfield and score a ton of fans.
42:10I feel like it's almost a great segment is I don't care.
42:13Yeah. It's just called, I don't care. I don't care.
42:17Yeah. Yeah. There are, there are going to be players and you know what?
42:21I'll tell you this one. We tell you to go with your gut all the time.
42:26Yeah. So if you don't, don't just go blindly with ADP or our opinion, go with your gut.
42:32And that way you can be mad at yourself.
42:35Right. But you can also, there is no better feeling than when you press back against the consensus opinion.
42:41Oh yeah. And win. Oh yeah. You're a hero.
42:44Yeah. I mean, it feels great. So, and by the way, all the consensus opinions, they're not going to be right.
42:51Not all of them. And that point I was talking about earlier on the 10 tips and tricks, we're going to talk about some of that as well.
43:00Skylar. What a show coming up. Skylar Jensen writing in, would I be a dog if I took CeeDee Lamb in the
43:07first and George Pickens in the second? Oh man.
43:10Or is that cat-like? So that can win. However, genuinely, no joke, if you draft those guys, you absolutely have to get Dak Prescott.
43:18There are large scale tournaments that have been won by a double stack wide receiver for a quarterback.
43:24If you pick the right time, the right season, the right team, the quarterback with their two main weapons can work.
43:31I would not. I won with Reggie Wayne, Peyton Manning, and Dallas Clark before.
43:35No? I won with Peyton Manning, Demarius Thomas, and Julius Thomas before.
43:39So you have to have Peyton Manning as part of this?
43:43I did notice that part. Yeah. No, but I mean, Jimmy Graham and Drew Brees with Colston, those things happen.
43:49They can happen. If you believe, go with your gut.
43:52It's putting a lot of eggs in a basket.
43:55But it might be a real nice basket. It's like, whoa, that's comfy.
43:59Those eggs ain't ever fun. That's a nice basket.
44:02Trey. Would you do that? Would you be tempted?
44:05If you had CeeDee Lamb. No. I wouldn't either.
44:08No. I'd pivot away. Why isn't Bashaw Tootin high?
44:11I mean, I also don't want to play Chase and Higgins on the same team.
44:16I mean, I just don't. It's just not part of the way I want to run my roster.
44:22Trey wants to know, why isn't Bashaw Tootin higher on draft boards?
44:26Trey wants to know, why isn't he? The reason Tootin isn't higher on draft boards is simply the reality that he might
44:33not be the pass catching back and he might not be the goal line back.
44:38If he's neither of those, he's a terrible pick.
44:41Right now he projects to be the starter and therefore have the most work, which would include some goal line and some pass catching.
44:48LaQuint Allen has been working in as a pass catcher.
44:52Crod was not there for the offseason, so we didn't really see what the split would be.
44:57But this could turn out to be a three-headed backfield.
45:00Now, the coaching fallacy of like, will they do the right thing or what is the right thing?
45:06If Tootin is truly good enough to take over the backfield.
45:10He's so much more explosive. I mean, it's like 4-3-2 speed.
45:13If he really takes it over, he'll be an outstanding pick in fantasy football.
45:18This could be a very good offense. I think the Tootin bros are super bullish.
45:23But if you're asking the question, why isn't he higher on our rankings, it's because we project more of a timeshare.
45:2940x40 writing in on Instagram. Does Jay Grizz prefer smoked or unsmoked salmon?
45:34Oh, he is. Of course smoked. He's been so domesticated.
45:37He's like, oh, raw fish. Yeah, it used to be raw.
45:40Oh, right out the river. Right out the river.
45:43He'd bite that head right off. But then he's like, I'm cardboard now.
45:48Smoked that. But you said smoked? Yeah, he won't smoke that.
45:51Mark, for defense and kicker leagues, does it make sense to reach for studs?
45:56It actually kind of does, but less so at defense.
45:59Is that like the Brandon Aubrey and the Seahawks defense?
46:02Yeah. The thing about the defense is a lot of times in years past, it's been very hard to predict.
46:09You think it's easy. Before the season, you're like, oh, well, this is clearly going to be the one.
46:15And then all of a sudden, defenses take 11 people on the field at once.
46:20And if things don't work out great, you go, okay, well, I reached for this defense.
46:25But then they're the fifth best defense. Which is not a good place to reach for the fifth best defense.
46:31Right, exactly. Now, if I had to guess on the defenses right now, like the Texans defense is unbelievable.
46:37Yeah, I mean, I think you're very safe there.
46:40I think you're safe with Seattle. I think you're safe with Denver.
46:44Yeah, Denver. Those feel like the safest ones. But I wouldn't, I mean, again, I give you three names.
46:50So why take the first of the three? Yeah, that's fair.
46:54I could not confidently say one of those three teams will be the number one.
46:59I'm very confident. I mean, the Rams. If you've got Miles Garrett and Aaron Donald, maybe they should be the number one.
47:06I don't know. Whereas, I think at kicker, it's like, okay, Brandon Aubrey, yeah, go ahead and reach on him.
47:12He's going to score more fantasy points than probably everyone else.
47:16Tyler brings up a good question here because it was almost the answer to my quick question of the day.
47:22Is Adonai Mitchell the best sleeper no one is talking about?
47:26I think that is absolutely the case. I mean, I think he's one of the best.
47:31It was him or me mentioning Naylor. However, Adonai Mitchell is going to have a prominent role in a Jets offense, probably playing every down.
47:39All the arguments that, you know, you have made for your boy, Geno Smith, apply to Adonai Mitchell in terms of more
47:46targets, more yards for the Jets than they've had in years past.
47:50And I think he showed when he arrived in New York last year that he could play with not good quarterback performances.
47:57So, to me, he is a deep sleeper. But that's the category for me, is deep sleeper.
48:03I think he would have been an appropriate answer for the quick question of, like, who would be the snap goblin keeping someone else upset.
48:11Like, if there's Omar Cooper Jr. believers out there, first-round draft.
48:15It's so weird. I don't remember the last— Omar Cooper's getting negative press.
48:19I don't remember the last time we had a first-round NFL-drafted wide receiver who's not injured that's like—I mean, he's undrafted.
48:26He's undraftable. It's funny because that, you know— In fantasy.
48:29I mean, it was Omar Cooper and Sadiq there, right?
48:32Yes. And, like, neither guy looks like they're going to be super relevant.
48:36Sadiq is trying to get back by week one.
48:39I think Adonai Mitchell will be the clear wide receiver, too, for this team.
48:44I don't know. My Geno argument of the Jets having more passing work, volume, yardage, counting stats than they did last year is true.
48:52But I do think Garrett Wilson soaks up—he's such a target hog, and I think he's going to have a 30% target share of this offense.
49:00Yeah, I look at Mitchell more like, you know, what Trey Tucker could do at times in Las Vegas last year.
49:07Which, ironically, was with Geno. Like, there were games— Yeah.
49:10Like, Trey Tucker—like, Adonai Mitchell is going to be a downfield threat very often.
49:15I think big play potential for him. He's going to be up over that 13, 14 yards of catch.
49:21But, yeah, I mean, you should have more arguments against a sleeper than for them.
49:26That's what makes them not drafted or drafted very, very late.
49:29Last question from Joshua. It's a good one. We—right now we're in the middle of our UDK for Life giveaway.
49:36What is the best way to use the UDK to do tier-based drafting?
49:40I think you touched on this earlier. But what about specifically with the way the UDK functions in terms of the app or the, you know, marking players?
49:49Functionally, I like doing it personally on an iPad.
49:52I mean, not everybody has an iPad. You could do it on your iPhone.
49:56You could do it on your laptop, your desktop, whatever.
50:00But if you have one, I really love putting that sucker landscape and you mark all your players.
50:05You highlight the ones you want to target. Highlight the ones you want to avoid.
50:10You've got all of the tiers right there. You scroll.
50:14Yeah, you can mark players as drafted. I think people don't necessarily know that.
50:18Just swipe and mark them as drafted. So as your draft goes along, you can just follow it.
50:24You can make sure that those highlighted players aren't missed.
50:27Alternatively, and I know we're old men, but like Andy, your favorite way to use the UDK, we have customizable printable cheat sheets.
50:35And you print it. You bring a marker and a piece of paper to every single draft that I can remember.
50:41And that is a really easy way to see everyone at a glance.
50:46You never miss anybody, any players further down the list.
50:49Even if you're using your iPhone, your computer, web browser, iPad, it is nice to have that printed cheat sheet handy right next to you.
50:57So maybe check that thing out too because you can turn on what you want on if you want ADP on or not.
51:04It's a very valuable resource. Those of you that have already been in there using the mock draft tool, that's coming to the web very soon.
51:13It's right now on iOS and Android, but this is the perfect time to jump in.
51:18Your drafts are on the way. I can't imagine a better next week of shows.
51:23Breakout, sleepers, values, bust, 10 tips and tricks. So I think it's going to be a fantastic week.
51:29And a mayhem mock draft is taking place next week.
51:32The UDK for Life giveaway, if you pick it up before August 24th, we're doing a live stream that evening.
51:38We're giving away a UDK for the rest of your life.

51:47So it's a UDK for life. And this will, of course, be a UDK plus.
51:52This will be, you know. It's cream of the crop.
51:56Yeah, cream of the crop. Cream of the crop.
51:58You get the best forever. But ultimatedraftkit.com, jump in there.
