1:06To the Fantasy Footballers Podcast. With your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
1:11Hello! Welcome in. Thursday, June 11th. The Fantasy Footballers Podcast.
1:14Welcome in one and all. We are talking about early value picks.
1:18Early bust picks on today's show. Just got done with some breakouts on the last episode.
1:24Some sleepers on the last episode as well. And we're happy to have you with us.
1:29I won't bring up golf. Unless you want me to, Jay.
1:33I don't even know what that is. There have been...
1:36I used to play that game. There have... Well, see, that's the thing where...
1:41Mike just shakes his head in just full judgment on all of us that are...
1:46Because Mike is just above it or below it.
1:49I don't know. There's the golf course right back behind you.
1:52That's definitely not Arizona right now. Take away the trees.
1:56And add fire. And add fire. And desaturate the grass.
1:59Mike, don't you... Just be dead. Don't you take like some...
2:03Aren't you kind of impressed that we... Like we would start to get into playing golf while it's the hottest time of
2:10the year and we're still doing it? Like isn't that commitment?
2:14That is... You are showing a true love of the game.
2:17A true love of the game is what Jason has.
2:21Did not experience today. But, you know, we're good.
2:24It was a long time ago. People are just...
2:27Every time we talk about it, they're like, what's your score?
2:30What's your actual score? I'm not asking, but I mean like...
2:34Right now... I did reply to one person. Like we played at a par 72.
2:39Yeah. 18-0 course. You shot a 95. Right? Correct.
2:4296, I think. Okay. 95-96. Al, what did you shoot?
2:45It was 95. Oh, that's right. Yeah. So, I mean, people wanted to know.
2:50They didn't know. And now they know. People took guesses at the handicaps and things like that.
2:56And we are definitely handicapped on the course. Yeah.
2:59That is for sure. Early busting values, NFL news, mailbag show today.
3:03I feel like we've been watching, Jason, you in particular today as well, just a lot of quarterback film.
3:09Yeah. Cam Ward, Caleb Williams, Michael Pinnock, Drake May.
3:12Trying to just remember and actually watch through what happened.
3:15And when you're watching the games, especially the way that we watch them, right?
3:20We're watching them live on Sunday and we're watching eight or nine games at once.
3:25You're taking in all these plays and then you do the analysis and the analytics and all that.
3:31But it's really different when you can watch everything cut up and just watch one player throw all of his passes.
3:38One player catch all of his targets. You know, you just watch them over and over and over and over.
3:45And then you compare that to another quarterback right afterwards and you go, wow, I didn't I didn't remember how freaking bad Michael Pinnock's was, for instance.
3:54Right. I was like, OK. That was one of your takeaways.
3:57That was one of my big takeaways. It wasn't a good one.
4:01OK, so two was the starter after watching that film.
4:05I was like that. Not good. Michael Pinnock's was terrible.
4:08Just downright disgusting. Would you say that Cam Ward's film was better than Michael Pinnock's?
4:13Yes. And it wasn't great. Cam Ward's was not great.
4:17Correct. But compared to Michael Pinnock's, it was awesome.
4:20You're correct. Yeah. Yeah. We watched Caleb yesterday. I know you're watching some Jacoby today.
4:25Caleb had a lot of downfield passes. I was very impressed with Caleb.
4:29The more that I've been watching all these players, I'm just.
4:33Man, I'm like I think I'm like really in on Caleb.
4:36This year. Both for fantasy and for. I think he's going to take a massive step forward.
4:42I don't know if I saw one of those passes that Caleb under through.
4:47I think 90 percent of them. They were like your adrenaline.
4:50No, his adrenaline was going and he was overthrowing.
4:53But what a laser. But the more football film you watch, the more excited I got.
4:59You know, it's funny. We're going to talk about the bust picks in a little bit.
5:04And watching the Caleb film really made me confident in my bust pick today.
5:09Oh, OK. Yeah. All right. Well, I don't know what your bust pick is.
5:13There you go. So I'll find out with everyone else.
5:17Mike is not happy with Mike. No. The people.
5:20The people. The people hate it. The people are pretty fine with it.
5:24Are the people Mike? No. The people. Oh, OK.

5:45Instagram.com slash Fantasy Footballers. Quick question of the day was sent in by Zach in Arkansas.
5:51Do you have a different strategy between a home league or a more competitive league or a different strategy between the two types?
5:58I'll jump in and it's ADP. We play a very market-based game during the period of the draft, especially ADP is everything.
6:06You know, the wisdom of the crowd or the ignorance of the crowd as well.
6:11When you're in a home league, far more players are not going to be researched.
6:16They're not going to... You know, they're just there to have a good time.
6:20You're there to win. So you can take advantage of that because those players are going to be looking at the ADP
6:28and whatever their draft platform is and not take any risks and not realize, oh, I'm going to be looking at the game.
6:35Where when you're in a competitive league, ADP can work against you because you're staring at that.
6:41You were just in your home league and you're like, man, I got this player two rounds later.
6:47I'm going to sit and wait. And then you get sniped because there's other people who...
6:52They are in the know. They listen to the information and it can work...
6:57It doesn't go according to the script. It can work against you and you think you know exactly how the draft is going to go.
7:06So you're going to play the game with the ADP.
7:09And when you're in the competitive league, it doesn't work like that.
7:13You really just have to draft the players that you're wanting to draft, not let the flow of the room disrupt that.
7:20Yeah. And I would say when I'm in a home league, what you just said, you said it for a different reason.
7:28But I tend to... Like in a home league, it's a little easier.
7:32You could take advantage. You can kind of crush souls.
7:35But also, just take the guys you want to watch.
7:39Like that's when I'm playing in a league that is just far more for fun, I want to enjoy...
7:45Is that just where you get shares of the favorite players?
7:49Yeah, exactly right. I'm like, I'm going to take my dude.
7:52Yeah. No, I mean, it makes sense. I don't think...
7:56You know, it's certainly different dynamics between both of them.
7:59Your home leagues are where you find a lot of those hometown players end up going a lot higher.
8:05But yeah, some structural differences there. Let's talk some news.
8:09News and notes from around the league. Well, these tight ends are tough, right?
8:13Tucker Craft says he anticipates playing in week one without a snap count.
8:18Craft and Kittle, man. Craft and Kittle. Craft and Kittle.
8:21Kittle and Kraft. Tough guys. Yeah, they are. Mike brought them up recently, I think maybe on the last episode, just about
8:28how you feel like you're going to fall for this trap.
8:32Oh, I'm like... I'm a... Yes, I... They're getting me.
8:35I'm pretty convinced. Yeah, you're going to be in on Kraft.
8:39And it's... I can't argue that much against it.
8:42If he looks good and he's there early, I will adjust.
8:46Right now, I still have him a little lower in my rankings due to the fact that he is coming off of
8:53the massive surgery and might not be ready for week one.
8:57But his breakout was legit. It really was. Going back and looking at his game log last year, it wasn't just the final...
9:04It felt like kind of what we experienced with Travis Hunter, where it was really one game where he had this massive breakout and then got injured.
9:13Because it did happen where after a massive game, he got injured.
9:17But he was having good weeks every single week.
9:20And he was a big, important part of their team.
9:24And I know you like Christian Watson a lot this year.
9:27And part of the reason for that is you buy into the offense.
9:32Romeo Dobbs is gone. Matthew Golden hasn't proven that he can be that guy yet.
9:37So one of those two, Christian Watson or Tucker Kraft, are going to score a lot of fantasy points.
9:43Well, that'll be fun to watch for training camp time.
9:47Speaking of training camp, Alec Pierce's ankle surgery could end up lasting into training camp.
9:52So he may not come back till the back half of training camp is the way it sounds right now.
9:58Again, I don't think you pay a guy a hundred plus million dollars if you have any concerns about it.
10:05Oh, long term. It's also not an ACL or a knee situation.
10:09Long term is fine. It's just short term. Like, is he ready to go week one?
10:14That's something to watch. I think if he gets back for any training camp, we'll feel a lot better about it.
10:21Zach Charbonnet, more injury updates. Seahawks running back. Got in some light field work with trainers at minicamp.
10:27Very light. 15 minutes of high knees. But that's good.
10:31Dude, I could knock out 15 minutes of high knees.
10:34You could get some light on field work done at training camp.
10:38I could knock out five minutes of high knees.
10:41Five minutes? I don't know about 15 minutes. Oh, there you go.
10:45Do you know how long five minutes is for high knees?
10:49I could knock out a minute of high knees.
10:52Yes, there you go. Going back to the Alec Pierce thing.
10:55I'm just curious because we had this debate about Alec Pierce recently.
10:59I feel like they're going to keep him in the same role.
11:03You feel like the opportunity is there because with Michael Pittman gone and Adonai Mitchell, there's a ton of targets that are needing to go somewhere.
11:12Do you think this hurts his opportunity missing the first half of training camp or more?
11:17I'm not there. I'm not there where I'm worried about it yet.
11:21It just feels like if you're going to have him miss the training, it would be easy to be like, well, you're
11:29going to do what you did last year. You already know all of it.
11:33I mean, his wide receiver target percentage last year in a bunch of these games was very, very high.
11:40And this is with an active Michael Pittman. I still think that you have a situation where this is their dude.
11:47I mean, name somebody else that's going to step into his role.
11:51Tyler Warren. Well, no, he plays tight end. Josh Downs.
11:54No, he's little. Okay. Those are the two. If you had another name, like if you told me that there was somebody
12:01else that could step into that situation, those guys, if you talk about a role for those guys, they're defined.
12:08They're certain. Josh Downs is not moving outside. So I don't have the fear right now.
12:13No, I don't. And the money talks to me.
12:16If the ankle starts talking to me later, then we'll have another conversation.
12:21You want to know a name that was uttered by the coach of the Colts recently?
12:26I don't think I want to know it. I'm only bringing it up because it's such.
12:32It's. Westbrook Akina. No, no. It's insane. Laquan. Yeah.
12:35Laquan. Laquan Treadwell. I feel so much better about Pierce just by you saying that.
12:40This was not an argument for anything. No, I know.
12:43It was simply like. Who? What? Do you have the quote?
12:47Do you have the actual quote? Oh, let me.
12:50You posted it this morning, and I believe your words with it was, this was a real quote.
12:56I'm really proud of Laquan Treadwell's growth and development is essentially what he was talking about.
13:01How many years has he been in the league?
13:04He's been in seven years. He's in a minute now, guys.
13:08I'm really proud of his development. He's really. He's 30.
13:11This is a grown man. Maybe he just meant like his physical development.
13:15Maybe he meant like as a person off the field.
13:19Yeah, mate. Yeah. This is not football. Not like Routry or anything.
13:23He's like donating his time. You know, just a good guy.
13:26Who knows? Well, back to Zach Charbonnet. The expectation is October.
13:30At best for Zach Charbonnet, which means Jadarian Price is going to have an out of the gate opportunity on the defending
13:37champs to get a ton of run. I mean, maybe not all of it.
13:42You know, you can say George Helani is going to get work and sure, but you drafted his only first round running back.
13:50If you say George Helani's name three times in a row, the Helani Hive will show up.
13:55You and two friends? No, I'm just saying like they're out there.
13:59I'm warning you. They are scary people. Yeah, let's move on.
14:03They meet in the cover of dark. We won't talk too much about that.
14:08I bumped Price up a bit, which is why it will be so hilarious when Helani is the starter.
14:14That's twice. Do you think the price of Price will increase?
14:18Yes. I mean, most of these rookies will be higher drafted closer to the season than they are right now.
14:24More off-season. Wait, we haven't hit the hype train in a little bit, but let's do it because it's worthy.
14:31I miss our old hype train. You always have.
14:34I like when we scare people on the road.
14:37Do I have to stop the train? Is that my job?
14:41Hey, you can't stop the train. Oh, okay, because it really does go on forever.
14:46Bhayshul Tuten continues to look like one of the most explosive elements of the entire Jacksonville offense.
14:51I mean, with Crodd not there, he has the opportunity to just take the HN role.
14:57If you're drafting at all right now, you should be taking this discount because I don't think his ADB is going to hold.
15:04It feels like Jacksonville is primed to be the maybe hype center of the off-season right now because we've gotten Bashal Tootin.
15:12We get the every day. It's Trevor Lawrence and BTJ look so good together.
15:17But yet ADPs are fine. Yeah. I mean, it's June.
15:20What I'm saying, well, Tootin could rise. Thank you, Jason.
15:23He could rise up dramatically, but the wide receivers, no one has any idea what to do with them.
15:30So I think they're going to stay late no matter what.
15:33Well, because they all have equal hype. You know, Travis Hunter will get hype and Parker Washington will get hype.
15:40And yeah, Bashal Tootin continues to look like he wants the lead job.
15:44Todd Monken, Brown's head coach, that is, not Baltimore's offensive coordinator anymore.
15:48Brown's head coach, Todd Monken, said he's unlikely to name a starting quarterback by the conclusion of the minicamp.
15:55Oh, man. So that'll go into training camp. Faulty advantage.
15:58Honestly, I don't think. I think he really needs to figure this out.
16:02I do. This one isn't. This isn't a competitive advantage.
16:06This is like, dude, I have no idea. I have to.
16:09When you have to pick one of these two guys, you're like, ah, give me more time.
16:15Yeah. I mean. He's actively looking into the outs of his contract.
16:19Like, do I have to coach this team? Which faulty parachute do I jump out of this plane with?
16:25I think he's going from circus to circus looking for Zoltron machines and just like trying to make wishes here.
16:32Like, please. Is that a big reference? It was.
16:35Hot current reference. Well, we'll start. We'll start talking about some, you know, some players we think might disappoint in just a minute.

17:45Before we jump into our early bust picks on today's show, I do want to say this.
17:51You said good luck, Monkin, right before the break.
17:54And the two coaches, I think, that look the most in trouble are ironically on the opposite ends of the age spectrum.
18:02When I watch Todd Monkin try to... I bet very predictable that them going to those franchises would be like, good luck.
18:09Yeah. I mean, the Cardinals, new head coach, Woody Woodpecker.
18:12Dude. Dude. I see it. I see it. You don't want to just destroy a man because of some aesthetic choices, but...
18:20Oh, brother. So LaFleur and then Todd Monkin. He's the older statesman.
18:24And those situations are kind of how both would find themselves in a head coaching job right now.
18:30The Cardinals and the Browns are not serious organizations.
18:33No, they are not. Well, speaking of bus... Bus.
18:36I forgot the video was you. You're Humpty Dumpty in that situation?
18:40Well, I am an egg. And you fell off...
18:43Not necessarily... Because... There are other eggs with different names.
18:46Well, there are other eggs. Also, I believe there's nothing in the nursery rhyme that actually says Humpty Dumpty is an egg.
18:53Yeah, but we all know. But we are assuming.
18:56But has it ever been proven that Humpty Dumpty is...
19:00Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Yeah. He had a great fall.
19:04Okay. All the king's horses, all the king's men that couldn't put Humpty back together again.
19:09But why is he an egg? Many things would break if they took a great fall.
19:14What is he if he's not an egg and his name's Humpty Dumpty?
19:19That's not a great name. No. You think there's one person named that?
19:23In the... In the world? No. No. No. No.
19:26No. Because if your last name is, in fact, Dumpty...
19:29Kyle... You're not going with Humpty. I want to...
19:32If your last name is... It's John. I'm John Dumpty.
19:36If your last name is Dumpty, please reach out.
19:39I just want... I want to meet you. Just like...
19:42Free tickets to our live show. That's Mr. Dumpty to you.
19:46Dumpty. You wait... No one with the last name of Dumpty goes Humpty.
19:50You got to be an egg to be a Dumpty.
19:53Um... All right. Kyle's diving in. He's going to do the research for us.
19:58Nursery Rhymes is where it's at. But we are starting with our bus picks, Jason.
20:03Let me define this for the listening audience here.
20:06Not players that we're saying are guaranteed to fail, but have some things that maybe are working against them or represent high risk.
20:14Or maybe things look beautiful on the outside. The fantasy finish, so to speak, looks great.
20:19And maybe you need to beware and look at the low-end outcomes.
20:23Or, you know, maybe relative to ADP, we don't like them.
20:27That type of thing. Yeah. A lot of times, you know, in the UDK, we'll have a bus section.
20:33And they're not always guys we don't believe in.
20:36Sometimes it's just like, this guy's being overdrafted. You're not going to be having...
20:41For... Best example of that was last year's Ashen Gentty, who was on our bus list.
20:46And he finished as the running back 12. But everyone who played knew, like, that was a bus pick.
20:53You took him, you know, halfway through the first round, and he really got off to a hard time.
20:59Now, my bus pick on today's episode... Hold on, Jay.
21:02We got to... There's an update here from Kyle.
21:05Is this a dumpy? Kyle, how certain are you of this?
21:09It doesn't matter. I'm going forward with it. Okay.
21:12We have the... He gave us a screenshot of the Dumpty family history.
21:16There is a Dumpty family history. With the name Seymour.
21:20Seymour. So there was, in fact, a... Seymour Dumpty.
21:23Seymour Dumpty. Come on. Oh, no. There was also a Hartford Dumpty.
21:27Seymour Dumpty. That's from Ancestry.com? It says we've only scratched the surface of the Dumpty family history.
21:32You wouldn't even believe how many Dumpties. Oh, my gosh.
21:36That's pronounced with a Dumpty. So I'm going to be Mrs.
21:39Dumpty, is it? Huh. Maybe I'll keep my name.
21:42Yeah, it's a real Julia Guglia. Dumpty Dumpty. This is ridiculous.
21:46All right, we have bus picks. Jason, were you volunteering to go first?
21:50Yeah, I'll go first because I alluded to this earlier.
21:54Less is more? Yeah, and honestly, this is not one of those where I think he's being just slightly overdrafted.
22:00Like, I won't be drafting this player. Like, I do think this will just be a bust and a wasted pick.
22:07And where he's going right now, he's going ahead of players that I think are great picks.
22:13That is wide receiver, brand new shiny toy for Josh Allen, DJ Moore.
22:17DJ Moore has been a great NFL wide receiver.
22:20He's been great for fantasy a handful of times.
22:23Usually we kept saying, oh, if he could only have a quarterback, he'd be great.
22:28Unfortunately, he didn't have a quarterback. And so he was always like a wide receiver, too.
22:34Very, very solid. I mean, you look back at his wide receiver 18, wide receiver 22, 19, 22, wide receiver 6.
22:41That was his big year in Chicago. And then wide receiver 17 last year fell down to wide receiver 33.
22:47And the thing is, is I think he has lost a lot of what made him special.
22:53I just talked about when I watched the Caleb Williams tape, it made me more confident in this bus pick.
23:00Because I would watch Luther Burden look awesome. Rome look awesome.
23:03Mr. Love, man. Oh, always looks awesome. He looked great.
23:07Oh, and he's hungry. And then every target to DJ Moore was like, oh, man, who is that?
23:13Oh, that's number two. Ugh. It just didn't look good.
23:16And some of the stats really, really bear that out.
23:19You know, I know that Joe said, why can't I think?
23:23Joe Brady? Yes, thank you. Joe Brady talked about how he felt like he didn't see any drop off in the film when he was looking to acquire.
23:32Yeah, last year's film. He hasn't seen any drop off.
23:36Yeah. They were together five years ago. So Joe Brady, back in the day in Carolina, is used to a certain DJ
23:43Moore that I don't think he is anymore. Career low in receptions.
23:47Career low in receiving yards. Career low in yards per route run.
23:51Career low in forced missed tackles. This was like DJ Moore was a yak master.
23:56Get the ball in his hands and watch him break tackles.
24:00He broke four tackles last year against man. He used to dominate.
24:04This year, targets per route run, 16%. That's bad.
24:07Yards per route run against man, less than a yard.
24:100.7. Yeah, that is like, that's dog doo-doo. He's not the same guy.
24:15And then you look at like, I mean, we've seen this.
24:18Like, Amari Cooper, good, maybe passes prime, goes to the Bills.
24:22And you get excited because it's like Josh Allen needs his Stefan Diggs that he had of old where it's like, oh,
24:29he's going to be a top 10 wide receiver for fantasy.
24:33But that's not the way this team runs anymore.
24:36You look at in 2024, Josh Allen became the first top five fantasy quarterback to not have a top 36 wide receiver.
24:43And then in 2025, he did it again. It's like, that's just who they are.
24:48He spreads the ball around. They're not going to target an alpha one.
24:53And DJ Moore is not an alpha one. Right now, he is being drafted ahead of Mike Evans.
24:59We'll talk about him in a minute. Carnell Tate, top 10 first round wide receiver rookie.
25:04I would love that. Christian Watson. We're big fans of him.
25:08Roma Dunze. You know I'm in on that. Wide receiver 2-3 bubble.
25:12And I mean, first of all, even when DJ Moore's had big games or big seasons, it's come inconsistently.
25:18He's not a high volume every game target earner.
25:21So I just think at 29 years old, year nine changing teams is not going to work.
25:27The name is carrying a lot of weight with it that the performance probably won't.
25:32And I love that. I hope his ADP doesn't drop.
25:35I love seeing him where he is because I know someone's going to make that mistake.
25:40And it won't be me. And I'll eat the words if he has a resurgence in year nine changing teams.
25:47Your namesake, too. That's a little bit tough. That's sad.
25:50Here's the other year nine wide receivers changing teams.
25:53Randall Cobb sucked. Marvin Jones sucked. Alan Robinson sucked.
25:56Odell Beckham sucked. Nelson Aguilar sucked. Tyler Boyd sucked.
25:59And Cooper Cup sucked. And then there was one good example who was a potential Hall of Famer in Devontae Adams when
26:07he went to the Raiders to play with his best friend at quarterback.
26:11Do we get ourselves in lots of trouble in fantasy?
26:14This is a things to remember thing of the projecting the next blank.
26:19Yes. Yeah. I mean, it feels like that works out almost never.
26:23I mean, the next Tyreek Hill in Kansas City, we went through 15 different players.
26:28Well, it happens with coaches, too. Like a coach comes over and says, like, oh, who's going to be in that role?
26:35It's like, well, that's not how it works. Remember how I believe it was just talked about with the Cardinals?
26:42Michael Wilson is in the Puka role. Right. Well, that's Puka's role.
26:46You've got to beat Puka. Jason, it remains to be seen.
26:50The Los Angeles Rams have to deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
26:53Remember the next Wes Welker for 40 years? Mm-hmm.
26:56Oh, man. Is he on the Patriots? Oh, man.
26:59Is he white? Oh, man. Hey, we got Edelman.
27:02I was going to say, that one actually did happen.
27:06Yeah, we got to work down a little bit.
27:09That took a while, though. Danny Madola was in there.
27:12How long after was Edelman? Yeah, the next Gronk?
27:15Oh, man. Absolutely. We did that. I remember some, oh, my gosh.
27:19Yeah, no, there's- What was the long-haired- I didn't want to reference him because I couldn't think of a name.
27:26I know, I won't remember. The long-haired off-season- No, no.
27:29No, he was a Patriot. This was a Patriot preseason hero that flashed for five seconds.
27:34Yeah, we just talked about this guy. Yeah, we'll find it.
27:38Mike, I'm going to let you go next since you're going to mix a running back into the post-picks.
27:44I'm going to go with the player who, it will not surprise people to hear this name, a player who is being
27:52drafted as the starter, as the RB1 from their team, and I don't think that he is.
27:57I think that he is the auxiliary, maybe the third down guy.
28:01It is RJ Harvey of the Denver Broncos, who the best ball drafters have a better idea as he's going as RB31,
28:09and he's RB21 right now in sleeper. I'll start with the good.
28:13He's one of nine rookie running backs since 2010 to score 12 or more touchdowns.
28:18That sounds great. The problem is he did it on 193 total touches, and I mean as a problem, that's a level
28:25of efficiency that just cannot be replicated. There was excitement for RJ Harvey.
28:29It was a surprise second-round pick. Running backs being drafted in the second round, that's generally a good strategy for us to go after.
28:37And yet the team's beat reporters were like, nope, it's going to be JK Dobbins.
28:42Dobbins, I'm trying to tell you, it's going to be JK Dobbins as the starter, and then week one hits, and there it is.
28:50JK Dobbins is the guy. Before Dobbins was hurt, I mean, Harvey was just not seeing opportunities.
28:56He was at eight and a half. And then weeks 13 through 17, he got to be the guy.
29:02The opportunities went up. The scoring went up. And yet, he was unbelievably inefficient as a runner.
29:08We had 55 qualified running backs with 80 or more rush attempts.
29:12He was 51st in runs stuffed at the line, in percentage of runs stuffed at the line.
29:1852nd in runs of 10 or more yards. The explosive.
29:21The super-fast electric. RJ Harvey couldn't rip off runs of 10 or more yards.
29:2649th in success rate. 48th in yards after contact per attempt.
29:30I just, I don't, if I don't see a world where RJ Harvey returns anything close to his ADP unless the running
29:37back room for Denver gets completely depleted again. You want to bet on a Dobbins injury?
29:42Yeah. Yeah, I get it. He actually, I get it.
29:46Like, RJ, or Dobbins, he gets hurt all the time.
29:49But when he is on the field, Dobbins is awesome.
29:52Like, he just, he plain delivers for every single team that he has ever played for.
29:58He just does get hurt a lot. But Harvey right now is being drafted like he's going to, like the takeover has happened.
30:05And I just, I don't understand it. He's going around players who have a much better odds of actually making an impact on your team.
30:14And drafting Harvey where he's going in your home leagues, I just, I think it is a complete waste of a pick.
30:21And you're going to be sitting around waiting and waiting and waiting for when you can finally plug him into a starting lineup.
30:29Well, when you pick him, you need to play him at his ADP.
30:33And you can't. So that's a huge problem. You cannot.
30:36If you suddenly lose that confidence, which, look, there are all, you know, Jonah Coleman, who we like, who we believe is
30:44a good runner, should have some opportunities. And a great pass catcher.
30:48And Peyton's history is to give other guys that we don't even know much about opportunities.
30:53Tyler Bidette. Yeah, I was going to say your name can be Bidette and you can get the ball.
30:59Yeah. Now, I mean, I like pushing back when I disagree.
31:03I agree with both of your picks, like wholeheartedly.
31:06My pick will not be agreed upon by Mike.
31:09No. At all. But I think this is a player that is an absolute fantasy football mirage for your team.
31:16And I say that with all due respect. I don't hear any respect.
31:20He said with all due respect. I said all due.
31:23That doesn't mean you get to say whatever you want afterwards.
31:27It's Zay Flowers. It's Zay Flowers. And the people are booing, I guess.
31:31The people hate it. Now, here's the truth about Zay Flowers that I think is very difficult to, for some, to swallow, to deal with.
31:40I think it's obvious by his ADP that people know that what happened last year by fantasy finish number is not, it's
31:47not like indicative of what he actually represented. For your team.
31:51Because last year he had a wide receiver seven finish.
31:54Now, that was 12.1 fantasy points per game. But his ADP this year is 21 on sleeper, 15 on underdog.
32:01There's nothing wrong with Zay Flowers the player. But I think in fantasy, you know, we've seen three years of Zay Flowers.
32:08And last year to finish at seven, when I look at the game log, I'm mesmerized by the fact that that math works out.
32:16I really am. He had career highs. I'm going to give him, here's his Flowers for Flowers.
32:22118 targets, 86 receptions, 1,200 yards. That's great. Those are all awesome numbers.
32:26Week one, monster performance. How many fantasy points do you have?
32:3027, something like that? 24.6 and a half PPR.
32:33Number one overall wide receiver in the first week of the season.
32:37For the next 12 weeks, so 71% of the fantasy season, so like almost, you know, a huge majority, he averaged eight
32:44fantasy points per game as a wide receiver 41.
32:47His next highest finish in the next 12 weeks was 21 overall.
32:51He wasn't a top 24 receiver for the other 11 weeks.
32:55So the math ends up somehow he's wide receiver seven because he ends, he bookended the years with number one overall finishes.
33:02So week 18 when it didn't matter for fantasy, number one.
33:06Week one, huge impression for your team. I'm going to, I got a guy.
33:11Number one. And then he had a great fantasy playoffs.
33:14I'll give him that. Eight, 18 and 11. But when you, when you put the context together, it's just, it's a really
33:21tough situation for me to buy into the draft price for Zay Flowers.
33:26I can't see a world where I'm taking him over Devante Smith, Emeka Ibuka, Terry McLaurin, Cam Scadaboo, Bashall Tootin, who you love, Jameson Williams.
33:34Like maybe you can have that debate if you want.
33:37I think that's fair. Yeah, that one is. I want a little safer dude or I want a little more explosive or.
33:45More volatility, higher upside is on the Jameson Williams.
33:48The, the, the more regular safe approach player would be Zay Flowers.
33:52I, I have Zay Flowers ranked around where his ADP is.
33:55Which is 21. Yeah. And I'm not, I'm not.
33:58I think I'm at 24. O-U-T on Zay Flowers.
34:01But I am closer on Andy's side than the people's.
34:05Because his, I mean, we've seen, we know who he is.
34:08And he's a, he is not, he's, we're not saying he's a bad wide receiver.
34:13He's just for fantasy. He doesn't have that, like he's going to score five touchdowns.
34:18You know, and that's kind of how when they get around the goal line, he's not a goal line threat.
34:25He's just not. And, and he shouldn't be. They've got Mark Andrews.
34:29They've got Derrick Henry. They've got Lamar Jackson. That's not, you know, they're, they should be putting their best foot forward.
34:36And it's not Zay Flowers there. So then you just have a low.
34:41I know he finished wide receiver seven, but like you're saying, Andy, it just, the process.
34:46Well, look, I have really good numbers for this.
34:49Cause if you look at every top 10 wide receiver since 2019, and you look at their fantasy finish and their consistency
34:56rank, and you compare them because we give you those consistency scores.
35:00So he finished at seven. His consistency was 16.
35:03That's a Delta of nine. So he was minus nine.
35:07He's a B. Yeah. It was minus nine. We looked at all the players that had a similar Delta, right?
35:13Anything that where their consistency was not with their fancy finish.
35:1769% of those finished outside the top 15 the next year, 50% were wide receiver 24 or worse.
35:23It's not a good sign. If your consistency rank and your fantasy finish are that far apart.
35:29I just feel like Baltimore as a team, and maybe that maybe with the new head coach and a new offensive ideology,
35:36this, at least the potential for change is there, but they spent what?
35:40Surratt and Jacoby Lane. Yeah. So they drafted two wide receivers, and every single time I've ever watched Baltimore, I've never said
35:48to myself, they need Zay Flowers to win this game.
35:51They may use them in this game to win, in that game to win.
35:56I don't go into the game saying, like, I'd say that about Derrick Henry.
36:00I'd say that about Lamar Jackson running the football.
36:03I might even say that about Mark Andrews for about four or five years, but I've never been in those games where
36:11I'm like, man, Zay Flowers has taken this one over.
36:14And that's where the disrespect that Mike hears comes in.
36:17Yes. Where I think he's a really good player, but I think the fantasy community already knows this, or he wouldn't be a fifth round pick.
36:26You don't draft the wide receiver seven in the fifth round unless you already don't believe that finish, which you've never defended that finish.
36:34No, no, no. You've never come out and been like, this is the seventh best wide receiver in fantasy.
36:40No. But to me, relative to the draft spot, I've got him.
36:44So he's being drafted on underdog at 15. Mike's got him at 16.
36:49Jason at 17. I'm at 24. So it is a bust for me.
36:53It was one of those players that stood out where my fantasy finish was quite a bit further than you guys.
37:00He's 21, fifth round pick and unsleeper. So I'm not too far off of that.
37:05But when I have to draft him, I feel like I'm going to have to say, this is an every week wide
37:12receiver two, and I don't think I can get there.
37:16He was, you know, he's hitting 10 points or more a lot of the time.
37:21Like I said, be inconsistency. So maybe you guys don't see the ceiling case for Zay Flowers with Declan Doyle coming in.
37:28And this, I think that's a huge deal, actually.
37:31If you told me, okay. We love Monken. Yeah.
37:34But what I'm saying is, if it were the same old, same old for the Baltimore Ravens, I would be looking at
37:42Zay Flowers in this ADP and being like, nah, I don't see how it changes.
37:47And I agree the identity of the team will still be Lamar and Henry.
37:51This is going to, like, the AFC North, this is going to be a team that has to run.
37:58Yeah. No, we have news. You want me to hit it?
38:01No, no, no. Just hold on. Hold on. Oh, you got more stuff to say?
38:06Yeah. And so I'm saying, with the new head coach coming in and how good I think Zay Flowers actually is as
38:14a wide receiver, I do see a world where he spikes.
38:17He gets up to eight touchdowns. Maybe even nine.
38:20He had one red zone touchdown last year. Yeah.
38:23This is what I'm saying. It is. But there's like...
38:27He's not built for it. It's a completely different offense that will be happening.
38:31And, you know, it's... I mean... Do you see the possibility of Jacoby Lane and Serac competing?
38:37For the wide receiver three spot, yeah. But I mean, like, being more...
38:41No. Part of the offense? I do not. Especially with what I'm reading so far.
38:46I mean, it's Bateman still locked in as the two.
38:50Bateman and Treadwell. They're just going to be there forever.
38:53But Bateman just keeps cashing huge checks, though. So, the team, it's...
38:57He is the number one target when it comes to passing offense.
39:01The passing offense of the Baltimore Ravens wasn't actually that good last year.
39:05If you remember, Lamar Jackson did not have his finest year.
39:09Missed a bunch of games. And so, for Flowers to do what he did last year just speaks to me of...
39:16This is a good player who has gone from 24 to 25 to 29% of the targets.
39:22I mean, you push 29, 30% again, and you just get a little bit of touchdown luck.
39:27He can easily squeak in and repeat a top 10 performance.
39:31I don't have him stated there nor projected there.
39:34But betting on talent, Zay Flowers is locked in there.
39:37Breaking news. We have a break... Yeah. Thank you.
39:40Yeah. We have a new deal for Patrick Mahomes?
39:43Is that what just broke? That is what is breaking.
39:47The total value of the deal? Very expensive. So, the new money...
39:51Hey, they were riding cheap with Mahomes for a while.
39:54The new money on the deal is worth $239 million.
39:57The total value of the deal is $504.75 million from 2026 to 2033.
40:02There'll be more updates like this over the course of that time as well.
40:06Half a billion. It's all guaranteed. $504 million guaranteed.
40:09No. It becomes guaranteed through contract mechanisms, according to Adam Schefter.
40:13Because the first four years are being guaranteed at signing.
40:17Right, but it says all $504 becomes guaranteed through contract mechanisms.
40:20Okay. So, it'll be like... He can earn up to $522, and boy, he must really want that.
40:26You gotta... Whenever I'm making $504, I'm like, how can I get to $522?
40:31You wanna motivate a man. The deal averages $64 million per year.
40:35Okay. Kansas City. Cardinals are gonna have to pay Jacoby now.
40:39Do you think that this... Yeah, they should've got that deal done.
40:43They got a $3 million deal for Jacoby Brissett.
40:46And they just shelled out $522 million. Did we cause this to happen?
40:50Talking about how McAfee was gonna make more than Mahomes on last episode?
40:54Because he was asking for $60 million a year.
40:57They probably didn't know that. They probably... McAfee's not...
41:00No way! $64 a year. Did you hear those fantasy nerds talking about that money?
41:05Yeah. Wow, congratulations. Kansas City. Kansas City. Unleash the offense!
41:09Figure it out! Mahomes has the least deep touchdowns in the league.
41:13The last... Couple years, yeah. Four years. Sorry, BNME's back.
41:16The thing about the Chiefs, the high-flame... Sign Tyreek.
41:19You should! They really should. When the Chiefs were destroying everybody.
41:23And just going to Super Bowl after Super Bowl until, you know, it trailed off.
41:28But the offense was so fun to watch. We didn't hate the Chiefs.
41:32Like, we didn't hate... At least the way I remember it is, like, we hadn't turned.
41:37We wanted to watch the Chiefs. Well, because they didn't have the titles yet either.
41:42Well, but even when they... You turn when you win a bunch, too.
41:47Even when he had a couple, I feel like...
41:50It was like, oh, no, I still like the Chiefs.
41:53Because they're very fun to watch. This is a great product.
41:57And then it just became so boring the last couple years.
42:00Still succeeding. That's when... They're missing... That's when we turned.
42:04I mean, I hope Ken Walker can be a part of this.
42:08Oh, please! Because they're missing, like... It was Kareem Hunt, and it was Tyreek Hill, and it was prime Kelsey.
42:14Now you have old Kelsey, you have Pacheco, and you've got Rice missing games, and you've got to throw the ball to Justin Watson.
42:22That's not fun. There's a reason why he has eight touchdown passes of over 30 yards or whatever it was in the
42:30last handful of years, at least in the league.
42:33They don't have the personnel. And then they spent the whole draft on defense.
42:37I would not be shocked... Figure it out. If they're still...
42:41You know, in his fantasy value, Patrick Mahomes came from running the football, and now he's coming off an ACL injury.
42:48So, yes, I'm with you. And his number one wide receiver is also coming off of a knee surgery.
42:54And currently in jail. Like, currently right now... Rehabbing it in jail.
42:59In jail. It's so brutal. Yeah, I just saw he won the opportunity to be in his own cell to rehab the knee after some of the days.
43:08Oh, that's so good. Congratulations, Rashi. No contract extension announced for Rashi, surprisingly enough.

44:21Values. Are you really doubling up? I really am.
44:24Well, I guess get it out of the way, Mike.
44:27Because it needs to be said. So you know how I don't like RJ Harvey?
44:32Yes. I like J.K. Dobbins, who is just... Where he is in the draft is...
44:37What it can do to the build of your team is unbelievable.
44:41He's going in the mid-30s, both in best ball and on sleeper currently.
44:46It was all this chatter. What are the Denver Broncos gonna do at the running back position?
44:51They're gonna do something. Listen, they're in on the big names.
44:55They were trying to get Brees. They wanted Brees Hall.
44:58They wanted Ken Bone Walker. They wanted Rumbelaya. They wanted to make a move.
45:03They weren't able to do it. And so they end up bringing J.K.
45:07Dobbins back. It's a two-year deal. It's worth up to $16 million.
45:11It's $8 million guaranteed. It's not nothing. And the fact that he was so successful as the starter versus what RJ Harvey gave you.
45:19I mean, this is the same team, guys. The same offensive line.
45:23J.K. Dobbins was running for over five a carry.
45:26RJ Harvey's at 3.7. Runs going for more than five yards.
45:30Like a good chunk run. 41% of Dobbins carries.
45:3329% of RJ Harvey's. 10-yard runs. Almost 14% for J.K.
45:36Dobbins. Went down at 5.5% for RJ Harvey. It's just he is such a better runner than RJ Harvey.
45:43And he's going in the ninth round. He affords you to be there.
45:47You take your elite tight end. Take a freaking quarterback with the tight end.
45:52I don't care because you can get a running back, too, in the ninth round.
45:57Do you think that Jonah Coleman could make this a three-way timeshare, which would really make all three?
46:03They didn't make Dobbins a priority. That would be one of my counterarguments was that Dobbins sat out there and they were
46:10kind of canoodling with some other free agents at the running back position.
46:15Yeah. And then they settled on returning. You know, they got one in the draft and they bring Dobbins back.
46:21They have Harvey. I think that's my biggest concern.
46:24Now, I don't think – like, if you think of what you're saying is right and Dobbins is showing that in training camp, this ADP won't stay.
46:33But it won't go up to a point where it's unaffordable.
46:37He'll maybe go – so, in our mock draft, Jason took him in the seventh.
46:42The seventh round, you got Kyle Monungay. Like, he's an interesting player, but he's definitely not the starter.
46:48You have, you know, like Rico. Rico, it's just weird with him and Jalen Warren, Blake Corum.
46:54And then there's J.K. Dobbins. I don't know if the team – like, last year he was kind of a revelation, right,
47:01where you expected maybe the rookie gets an impact.
47:04He comes out and gets it done. And I don't disagree on the value or anything.
47:09I'm just more so talking philosophically about J.K. Dobbins.
47:12If I'm that team and, like, Harvey's gotten his reps and I go out and I get Jonah Coleman, I don't see a world where J.K.
47:21Dobbins is getting more work than he got last year by any stretch of the imagination because he got hurt doing it, right?
47:29Like, that was part of it is J.K. Dobbins injury-prone, gets hurt with too much work.
47:34That's where my hesitation would come. But right now it's like a free player.
47:39I feel like it's a free player and it's a free starter who was – you know, before the injury game, his consistency was a B.
47:47He was putting up – he was at 11 fantasy points a week on average.
47:52The team's going to win a lot of games and they're going to be winning a lot of games with their defense.
48:00Yes, elite defense. So giving the ball to a veteran running back makes sense.
48:04Who actually has success on the ground as opposed to R.J.
48:08Harvey. Jason, your value pick. My value pick, I've been talking about him, talking him up this whole offseason.
48:14I know, Andy, you disagree with me on this one, which is fine.
48:19But I think Mike Evans is a great value.
48:22I believe he's going to be very good this year.
48:25He is old. He's changing teams. He's 32.8 years old.
48:28He'll be 33. Those are some of those things you're always looking for.
48:33Yeah, I mean, no, I'm bringing those up because that's usually something I avoid.
48:38That was your D.J. Moore argument. Well, that was year nine.
48:41And also in that argument – Oh, Mike Evans.
48:44That was year nine. We're not – Mike Evans is way past year nine.
48:49Yeah, but also the one guy who stood out on that list who was great when he changed teams, he was the
48:56wide receiver three, was Devontae Adams because he's like a Hall of Fame level caliber wide receiver.
49:02That's what Mike Evans is. He's a Hall of Fame – second ballot Hall of Fame wide receiver in the future.
49:09And this is a team that is projected to score a ton of points.
49:14Like right now they're, I think, like the third highest – fourth highest in projected points.
49:19Who's going to score the touchdowns? Obviously Christian McCaffrey is going to get his.
49:24We don't know about the health of George Kittle.
49:27Mike Evans is going to be a touchdown machine.
49:30Brock Purdy throws touchdowns. They lost John Jennings. Every report from San Francisco right now is about how amazing Mike Evans is.
49:37The connection between Purdy and Mike Evans has been awesome.
49:40So healthy. I mean, that's really – see, that's the issue to me.
49:45I don't think – you have two arguments. You have the argument that he's lost it.
49:50He's old and it's just like don't go in on that.
49:54That's fine. Maybe that's true. You have the other argument of, well, he's injury prone.
49:59And so I don't want – I mean, going to San Francisco, goodness gracious, an injury prone wide receiver, that's fine.
50:06And I do believe there is a chance that this is a pick where if he gets injured, you go, well, shoot, I should have seen this coming.
50:15I feel really stupid. But when he's on the field, he's going to score a ton of fantasy points.
50:21He's not going to be – I don't think he's going to be a wide receiver three.
50:27I think he's going to be a potential wide receiver one.
50:31I think he could be a top 12 wide receiver.
50:34And he's going in a place in the draft where it's like you're not – you are drafting an old guy changing
50:41teams who was injured last year and you're worried about it.
50:45But the scheme that Kyle Shanahan has really leads to a lot of specifics that Mike Evans does.
50:51They play with two wide receivers on the field often.
50:54That sounds – some people think that's bad for fantasy.
50:58That's great for fantasy for wide receivers. It's consolidation of targets.
51:01When Mike Evans has been in two wide receiver sets, he has dominated.
51:06That is his bread and butter. I just think what Shanahan does, what Brock Purdy does, and what Mike Evans does is a match made in heaven.
51:15It's very similar to my argument last year with George Pickens and Dak.
51:19They just – what Dak does well is what George Pickens does well.
51:24It was – and they needed him. And that's the thing here is like they need Mike Evans.
51:30They need a wide receiver one and everything about, you know – Hey.
51:34Yeah, is that Ricky P? This is Ricky Mouse.
51:37Ricky Mouse. But you're going Mice Evans? What's that?
51:40Oh, I missed it. What? That's fine. It was fine.
51:43It's fine. I see some – It was a mouse slash mice reference.
51:48Mice Evans for Ricky Mouse. Oh, my goodness. I mean, it wasn't really like – Bust it!
51:53It was more just I was throwing it right back to you real quick and you couldn't pick it up.
52:00Oh, yeah. There's a reason. I don't pick up turds.
52:03Listen, I'm going to make – I don't like that joke.
52:07Thank you, Ricky. I'm going to make a – I'm going to say something that you're going to love.
52:13Okay. I love – I love Mike Evans. Okay.
52:16If it was 2023. Because that's when he was a my guy and I loved Mike Evans.
52:22Look, you're not going to win any argument opposing you on the basis of what Mike Evans has done.
52:28That's not any argument against Mike Evans. He's done everything.
52:32He's been amazing. He's been one of the greatest wide receivers we've ever seen.
52:36In fact, his career has spanned our career almost perfectly where he's dominated the entire time that we've been doing the podcast.
52:44You have to – Like, I noticed that we can't – We throw last year out because he was injured.
52:50Mm-hmm. I mean, he did play like – He started the year as a wide receiver 41, 48, 27.
52:57Then he was out. Came back 8, 24, 28, and 50.
53:00We won't know if the wheels were falling off very much last year.
53:05But I tell you what, there's a chance they were when you're 32 years old.
53:10You're going to be 33 this season. Like, I don't like the basis of saying something's just going to go wrong, and that's my entire argument.
53:18But it is. It is my argument. I mean, it didn't work with CMC, but it did.
53:24It worked with Purdy, and it worked with Pearsall, and it worked with, you know, the other parts of this offense.
53:31And it has worked, when you look at San Francisco, not quite figuring it out with some of these pieces.
53:38Like, if Mike Evans has the fountain of youth and at 33 years old is producing at, you know, 28-year-old Mike Evans levels, you're going to be right.
53:47His situation's really good. But it's not like we don't like Baker Mayfield.
53:51Like, he produced wide receiver five numbers with Baker Mayfield in 2023.
53:55I don't think it's an upgrade on his situation that much to what he was doing then.
54:01Well, no, but I mean, the targets, 57% vacated targets.
54:05His targets aren't going to change that much. So, this is, I mean, I'm just saying the need for him is like,
54:12so if he goes down, you say it's not going to work out, it's going to go wrong, he's going to go down.
54:20I'm saying. Where do they throw the, it's, I mean, then you should be drafting.
54:25I didn't say he was going to go down.
54:28Are you drafting Ricky Pearsall, like, a lot? No.
54:31Are you high on him? No, no. Come on.
54:34What I said was not that he's going down.
54:37I said something's going to go wrong. Well, sure, but we know what that would be.
54:42Well, no, because it can be Purdy getting hurt.
54:45It could be. Do you think that the 49ers.
54:48Them not building him into the offense to the way that you like it.
54:53Do you believe the 49ers offense will be a good offense?
54:56Score a lot of points. When they're all healthy.
54:59No, no, no. But like on the course of the year, healthy, not healthy.
55:04I mean, the 49ers are never healthy. Do you think that this is an offense that will be a top 10 scoring offense?
55:12Probably in that range. Probably in that range. So it's got to be someone.
55:16So I guess if you are out, if you're listening and you're like, I'm not doing a 33-year-old hamstring, you know, tight hamstring guy.
55:24I'm just not doing that. Then I would say draft Ricky Peay.
55:28Because someone here is going to emerge. Except for that argument didn't work last year.
55:33Because that argument was completely applicable to Ricky Peay.
55:36He wasn't the beneficiary of it. It became Juwan Jennings in a CMC year.
55:41And Kittle was on fire. So like other things do happen.
55:45Like other players come in and produce. That's all I'm saying.
55:48I have my fears. That's it. 33-year-old changing team guys.
55:52The arguments you made for, like this is Hall of Famer.
55:55So maybe he can do what Julio couldn't do.
55:58And he can go to San Francisco and dominate.
56:01I do think it's in the range of outcomes.
56:04But I also think like you have him ranked in a place where, you know, he's going to start every week for you.
56:12Yes. And you're going to be counting on it.
56:15Would you take Mike Evans or Abuka? Abuka. I would take Abuka.
56:19I was just curious. I didn't know. Nothing. No agenda there.
56:23Just curious where you were at. I guess I have to share mine.
56:27Yes, you do. His name is Kenneth Gainwell. Oh!
56:30Oh! And not Sleeper. Because he woke last year.
56:33Right? But a value pick on today's show. I have him ranked higher than you guys do.
56:39I have him at 32. We put him back in the ADP deep freeze, though.
56:44Oh, yeah. And that's where guys like this live.
56:47That's where they're always going to live. Do you remember how many years Darren Sproles lived in that place?
56:53Oh, man. Darren Sproles. That was good times. You could never find a clear path for the dude.
56:59Like, mentally. Well, they have these other two starting running backs.
57:03So Darren Sproles. Okay. He figured it out. Like, Kenneth Gainwell last year was unbelievable for Pittsburgh.
57:09I look at the depth chart here in Tampa Bay.
57:12Bucky Irving is a huge wild card, obviously. And I don't know if he was brought up on the wild card show.
57:19He probably was. Sean Tucker, whatever. And then Kenneth Gainwell is here to be the beneficiary of an offense that has passed
57:27the ball to the running back position very frequently.
57:30Rashad White, the entire case you made for him on Tuesday, you talked about how effective he was with Baker Mayfield for many years.
57:38Kenneth Gainwell is just a pro's pro. He led the Steelers with 73 receptions.
57:42He's a free player. You talk about J.K. Dobbins in the ninth round.
57:47Kenneth Gainwell, you're going to get him there or later.
57:50And running backs are hard to come by. So, you know, he wasn't just a check down guy in Pittsburgh.
57:57That might be one of the things you're thinking about.
58:00He lined up all over the place. And this is a team that lost the aforementioned Mike Evans.
58:06They don't know what they have in Bucky Irving, and he's still not healthy.
58:11And Bowles, back in late March, said he's the 1B to Bucky's 1A.
58:15So they're already kind of setting the stage for this being a two-headed situation.
58:20It hurt players like Jalen Warren last year at times because Kenny Gainwell came in and stole opportunities in the game.
58:27And, look, what's your confidence level on Bucky Irving being a star this year?
58:31Being a star? I mean, being a – what he was as a rookie.
58:3630 – it's low. 33%. So there's not other names to step up here.
58:41And they really need another pass catcher to come and provide something from the backfield.
58:46So I think it's a really interesting situation. Hopefully an upgraded offensive coordinator.
58:50Grisard is gone. Zach Robinson has arrived. It's just, to me, very interesting to see the contract numbers that they gave him.
58:57A couple years, $14 million. The passing down value, right?
59:01A target worth more than the carry. And being kind of a Swiss Army knife for the offense.
59:07So I think it's not a name you're going to enjoy taking.
59:11People will roll their eyes and not care when you take them.
59:15Probably like J.K. Dobbins. But you might just end up putting him in your flex position before you know it.
59:21That's kind of my take on Kenny Gainwell. Nope.
59:24I'm in. You want murky situations. And Gainwell – the money is very important to me.
59:30We have. That they pursued him and they said – What did they give him?
59:35It's not – it was like – With cash or – Yeah.
59:39Credit cards. It's Amazon gift cards. It's – It was 9.8 guaranteed worth up to 14.
59:44Okay. Two years. Yeah. Two years. I mean it's not the most money but he's got to be thrilled.
59:51This was a player that looked like a bit part player that became a featured player.
59:56You know, you said a lot about Rashad White.
59:59We saw Rashad White where we had to begrudgingly accept what he was able to do in this offense catching the football.
60:06And he caught like every pass. And then what?
60:09Bucky Irving came and caught every pass. Like I think maybe Baker is really good at throwing to running backs.
60:16Yeah. For sure. I will say that it's a very, very good match between the quarterback and running back.
60:22The skills and what they excel at is a great match.
60:26It really comes down to Bucky. Because if Bucky gets back to rookie Bucky and he's explosive and he is the star
60:33that he was, they'll use him in that way.
60:36He will be more of a workhorse. But if he can't get back and currently he's injured and he is undersized.
60:43Or the efficiency is where he was last year.
60:46Or he doesn't, yeah, he's not that same explosive guy.
60:50Then they will get Gainwell on the field way more than we will want.
60:54And he'll score fantasy points. Because when you catch, I mean he had 114 targets last year.
61:00Obviously different team, different situation. But that's the, you know, not every running back can ever get 100 targets.
61:06You watched, Jay, you said you watched Rodgers. Yes, I did.
61:10Do you understand why Kenneth Gainwell got that amount of targets?
61:14Yes. Because he can't throw down the field anymore.
61:17And he's coming back? Rodgers is back. Who's going to catch the ball to the backfield?
61:22Jalen Warren? Yeah. Warren or Rico, I don't know.
61:25They both can. What about your guy? Oh, Caleb Johnson.
61:28No, no, no. That's not my guy. Heidenreich's my guy.
61:32That's who's going to emerge. Yeah. The Swiss Navy knife.
61:35Swiss Navy knife? Yeah, that's not what they call it.
61:38No, yeah. I think someone did. Did he go to Navy?
61:42Yeah, he was from Navy. Oh, my gosh. It's great.
61:45It's a great name. I think it was their running backs coach that coined that.
61:50Oh, man. It's no Dumpty. No. Oh, wow. But it's pretty good.
61:54That's Dr. Dumpty. It's Dumpty MD. Next Tuesday, underrated, overrated.
61:58That was a super fun show last year. I'm looking forward to that one where we go through a handful, maybe up
62:05to 10 situations in fantasy and some stuff like some rules and league settings and stuff.
62:10And we marked them. We just vote live on the show.
62:14Are they underrated, overrated situations? Do we agree? Do we not?
62:18That was a blast last year. We're going to do that on Tuesday.
62:22And we'll get into some surprising teams on Thursday's episode and some mailbag as well.
62:27Check out the UDKUltimateDraftKit.com. Until next time, boys. For Andy, Mike, Jason, Dr.
62:32Dumpty, we say goodbye. Goodbye. All right. Thank you for listening to another episode of the Fantasy Footballers Podcast.
